This view point is really good you can see a lot of moutain range from here (another small view point is at the right side of St. Marry Church ) look for it.. since its a popular spot it is always crowded cos people take time to reach here and then stay there for a while there is ticket of Rs. 30 per person its like a reward point in lansdowne there is restaurant around it so you can eat and sit for a while
Amit V — Google review
Tip-in-Top Point, also known as Tiffin Top, is one of the most scenic and serene viewpoints in Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, located at an elevation of approximately 1,700 to 2,000 meters above sea level. Just 1.5 to 2.5 km from the Lansdowne town center, it is easily accessible via a short drive and a 200-meter walk through pine and oak-covered paths. Known for its breathtaking panoramic views of the Garhwal Himalayas, including peaks like Chaukhamba and Trishul, the spot is perfect for sunrise and sunset watchers, photographers, and nature lovers seeking peace. The surrounding landscape offers a tranquil atmosphere, with cool breezes and a clear view of the Shivalik ranges on a clear day. The peaceful surroundings, fresh mountain air, and lush greenery make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The sunrise and sunset views are truly mesmerizing, creating a picture-perfect moment for photography lovers. Well-maintained and easily accessible, Tip and Top is an ideal destination for families, couples, and nature enthusiasts looking for a serene escape. A must-visit spot when in Lansdown
Raza H — Google review
Tip Top Point (also known as Tiffin Top) is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Lansdowne and a must visit for nature lovers. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Garhwal mountain ranges, the lush green valleys, and even the snow capped Himalayan peaks on a clear day it’s an unforgettable sight! The entry ticket costs ₹20 per person, and parking charges are ₹60. However, the parking area is quite small, and it can be difficult to find a spot when the place gets crowded, so it’s best to visit early in the day. The fee feels a bit on the higher side considering the limited space. There’s also a telescope service (for a extra fee) that gives you a close up view of Lansdowne town and the surrounding mountains. A small cafeteria nearby serves tea, coffee, and snacks, making it a nice spot to relax while taking in the scenery. The area is generally clean, peaceful, and well maintained ideal for spending some quiet time away from the bustle.

🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐ (4/5) A beautiful viewpoint in Lansdowne that truly lives up to its name – Tip-in-Top! This place is a must-visit if you're exploring Lansdowne. Located at one of the highest points in the town, Tip-in-Top offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. On a clear day, you can even spot distant snow-capped peaks, making it a dream spot for nature lovers and photographers. The atmosphere here is calm, peaceful, and perfect for spending some quality time amidst nature. Whether you're visiting with friends, family, or solo – it's a great place to just relax, soak in the beauty, and take a break from city life. Mornings and evenings are especially magical with the soft golden light falling over the hills. 🎟️ There is an entry fee of ₹20 per person, which is very nominal considering the experience you get. 🅿️ Parking is available, but it's charged at ₹60 – which is slightly on the higher side, but the area is safe and well-managed. There is a restaurant/café at the location as well, which is decent in terms of ambience, but honestly, it is a bit overpriced. So if you're planning to eat here, be prepared for higher-than-average rates. It might be a better idea to grab a light snack and enjoy your main meals in the main town area. There are benches and open spaces where you can sit and enjoy the view. It’s not a very large spot, but definitely a serene one. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here just enjoying the breeze and the scenic beauty. Pro tip: Visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and enjoy the best views. All in all, Tip-in-Top is definitely one of Lansdowne’s top attractions and well worth your time. If you're in town, don’t miss it!

Amazing church full of history. It's a wonderful addition to the Gurkha rifles area. The church is well preserved and was a delight to visit.
Anurag Y — Google review
It's just beautiful. Definately one can find peace for mind, heart and eyes. Scenic view at the foothills of Himalayan range. Rest can be assured from the picture.
Sarthak J — Google review
It's a really small old church which is I would say not maintained really well how it should be. It has been converted to a museum now. You will find a little description board about some history of the church and inside the church walls, you will find some old pictures during British era when some marriages happened during that time. This church in one the way to one of few tourist spots and so you can stop by and spend few minutes here.

🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐ (4.5/5) A must-visit place in Lansdowne for history lovers and patriots! Garhwal Army Museum is truly one of the highlights of Lansdowne. It’s a well-maintained and peaceful place that beautifully showcases the rich history, bravery, and legacy of the Garhwal Rifles Regiment. If you’re someone who appreciates military history and the sacrifices of our soldiers, this museum will definitely touch your heart. The exhibits are very informative – from medals, weapons, uniforms, and rare photographs to inspiring stories of valor. You also get to learn about the contribution of the Garhwal Rifles in various wars and operations. Everything is neatly arranged and gives you a glimpse into the disciplined and honorable life of an Indian Army soldier. One important point to keep in mind – photography is not allowed inside the museum, which can be a bit disappointing for those who love to capture memories, but it's understandable due to the sensitivity and nature of the content displayed. 🎟️ Entry tickets are just ₹30 per adult, which is very reasonable. 🅿️ Free parking is available, and from there it’s just a short 300-meter walk to the museum. The path is pleasant and adds to the experience. The staff at the museum deserve special mention – they are polite, respectful, and very cooperative. You can feel the discipline and hospitality in the way they handle everything. They also answer questions and help you understand the exhibits better if you’re curious. Right opposite the museum is the Army Parade Ground, where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s a great spot to rest after exploring the museum – calm, clean, and scenic. Overall, this place is not just a museum, it’s an emotion. A salute to the brave hearts who protect us. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in Lansdowne.

The Garhwali Museum in Lansdowne is a must-visit for anyone interested in the rich history of the Garhwal Rifles Regiment and the town itself. The museum showcases an impressive collection of old weapons, uniforms, medals, photographs, and documents that highlight the courage and legacy of Garhwali soldiers. The entry ticket costs ₹30 per person. There’s free car parking available near the SBI Bank, and from there it’s just a 200–300 meter walk to the museum. The area is scenic and peaceful there’s a small park opposite the parking area, and the parade ground beside the museum adds to the military atmosphere. The museum also shares interesting information about Lansdowne’s history it was originally called Kalundanda and was later renamed Lansdowne after Lord Lansdowne, the then Governor General and Viceroy of India. This historical context adds an extra layer of meaning to the visit. The premises are well-maintained. Photography isn’t allowed inside, but the experience is still worthwhile. Overall, a peaceful and informative stop that honors the bravery of the Garhwali soldiers and offers insight into Lansdowne’s past.

Bhulla Taal, located in Lansdowne, is a serene man-made lake surrounded by hilly lawns and trees. It is a popular attraction for both tourists and locals, offering waterside paths, boat rentals, and serving as a great picnic spot. The lake was created to promote tourism in the area and has become a favorite destination for families and kids. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as boating, archery, trampoline jumping, and more.
Good small lake and garden to walk around. In peak season, waiting time for a boat ride may be around 30-40 minutes but if you do not want a boat ride then walking around is really good.
Ritesh S — Google review
Good place for family and couples. It's colorful place. So many points to click beautiful and colorful pictures and reels. Tickets prices are 100 per person without boating. With boating 250 per person.
Sudheer K — Google review
Bhulla Taal is a small, artificial lake surrounded by lush greenery it’s clean, peaceful, and nice for a short outing. Apart from the lake with ducks and fish (fish feed is available for ₹10), they also have rabbits, hamsters, and some birds, which kids and animal lovers will enjoy. The ticket prices are quite high ₹250 per person including boating, which feels expensive for what’s offered. Without boating, it’s ₹100, and defence personnel are charged ₹50, which is reasonable. They also have archery, a trampoline, and swings, which are extra ₹100 each, and kids really seem to enjoy them. There’s free parking, which is convenient, but overall, while the place is pleasant for a brief visit, the pricing could be more reasonable.
Deborshi B — Google review
Review: Bhulla Lake, Lansdowne ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) Bhulla Lake in Lansdowne is a decent spot for a short visit, especially if you're exploring the area for the first time. However, if you've already been to more popular hill stations like Nainital, this place might not feel very impressive in comparison. The entry fee is ₹50 per person, which feels a bit steep considering what’s offered. Boating costs an additional ₹150, and every other ride inside the premises has separate charges as well. So, it can quickly add up and may not feel entirely worth the price. The lake and its surroundings are clean, well-maintained, and quite peaceful. It's a pretty place to relax for a while, click some pictures, or enjoy a quiet boat ride. But the experience is fairly limited, and the overall vibe doesn’t quite justify the entry fee. Parking is also limited and chargeable, which is another downside. Overall, it’s good for a one-time visit if you’re in Lansdowne, but not a must-see destination. If you’ve already experienced more vibrant or scenic spots like those in Nainital, Bhulla Lake might feel underwhelming.
Aakash S — Google review
Only if you have kids Not that big, artificial and maybe you can spends sometime Other activities like bow and arrow etc. Neat and clean. The restaurant outside is expensive and we did not like the food.
Mahesh N — Google review
Bhull Tal, Lansdowne is a beautiful and peaceful spot, perfect for spending a relaxing day with family and friends. Surrounded by lush greenery, the lake is clean, calm, and well-maintained. Boating here is a wonderful experience, and the small park with statues and seating areas makes it even more enjoyable. It’s an ideal place for photography, picnics, and simply soaking in nature’s beauty.
Raza H — Google review
Bhulla Taal is a small lake in the middle of Lansdowne, it offers good views with decent flora and fauna, Pedal boat rides are 100 rs. Extra for 15 minutes. Please note that sometimes it can get crowded and then you will not be enjoying the views, I personally felt that there were many areas of improvement in the maintenance of the lake. The authorities, along with collecting the ticket money should also improve on the amenities and the overall maintenance of the park. Other activities inside the park are chargeable separately like archery. Over all it's a good experience if you have nothing else to do in Lansdowne.
Prashant K — Google review
Bhulla Tal, also known as Bhulla Lake, is a charming man-made lake located just 1 to 2 kilometers from the heart of Lansdowne, Uttarakhand. Constructed and maintained by the Indian Army, this serene spot is dedicated to the young Garhwali soldiers of the Garhwal Rifles who contributed to its creation. The name “Bhulla” translates to “younger brother” in the local Garhwali language, reflecting the community’s affection for the youth involved in its development . Despite its modest size, Bhulla Tal offers a tranquil environment ideal for relaxation and leisurely activities. The lake is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and shaded seating areas, providing visitors with picturesque views. A notable feature is the small overbridge that spans the lake, offering an excellent vantage point for photography and appreciation of the surroundings . Boating is a popular activity here, with duck-shaped paddle boats available for rent. The boating experience is both enjoyable and affordable, making it accessible for families and couples alike. Additionally, the area includes a children’s park equipped with swings and play structures, a bamboo machan, and fountains that enhance the scenic beauty of the locale . Visitors can also explore a small souvenir shop, a café offering light refreshments, a herbal plant nursery, and an enclosure housing rabbits, adding to the charm of the place. These amenities make Bhulla Tal not just a spot for relaxation but also a place where one can engage with nature and enjoy simple pleasures . The lake is open to visitors from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, except on Wednesdays when it remains closed. The entry fee is modest, and boating charges are additional, typically around ₹50 per person . Given its proximity to the town center, Bhulla Tal is easily accessible on foot or by a short drive, making it a convenient destination for a quick getaway. In summary, Bhulla Tal is a delightful spot that offers a peaceful retreat amidst nature. Its well-kept environment, coupled with various recreational facilities, makes it an ideal location for a leisurely visit lasting about an hour. Whether you’re seeking a quiet place to unwind or a scenic spot to enjoy with family and friends, Bhulla Tal provides a refreshing experience in the serene hills of Lansdowne.

Ram Jhula is a stunning bridge that spans the Ganges River, offering a picturesque and spiritual experience. While it can be crowded, the journey to the bridge is filled with interesting sights such as monkeys and wandering cows. Walking is recommended over renting a vehicle, allowing you to enjoy shopping, snacks, and tea along the way. From Ram Jhula Ghat, you can witness the divine Ganga Aarti in a less crowded setting than at Paramathma Ghat.
Ram jhula, in Rishikesh one the most beautiful place, if anyone wants to see the beauty and glimps of this place do come at night after 8.30 or 9 pm cuz here is too rush in evening but at night is completely free from rush, and there no any things which scare for female or girls special police are here are vigilance and active no such miscreants are there. Soothing environment at night at ghats.

Also you can go to taxi stand for Neelkanth Mahadev and also paidal marg for the same. It has beautiful ghats for Maa Ganga Snan. Very scenic in evening and night. Also breeze in the night on this bridge is very calm and serene. Best month to visit Rishikesh and Ram Jhula is October and November. Please do not litter on these Holy places. Be kind to all. Highly Recommended. Thanks

I went ther recently with my friends to enjoy the weekend. We booked our hotel near ramjhula to enjoy the ganga view, also rafting and more adventure activities. As we know about ramjhula Ram Jhula is a long hanging bridge in Rishikesh built over the holy Ganga River. It connects two sides of the town and is used by people walking, cycling, and visiting temples. When you stand on the bridge, you can see the clear water, green mountains, and colorful boats. The wind feels cool and fresh. Many tourists come here every day to enjoy the calm environment. In the evening, the lights around the bridge make it look even more beautiful and peaceful. It is a famous place to visit.
Kanishk R — Google review
The most bustling place in Rishikesh where you need to visit once you visit Rishikesh. It's the suspension bridge and most of the famous ashrams are situated on either side of the Ganges once you cross the bridge. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. Ram Jhula in Rishikesh is truly one of the most beautiful and iconic places in the city. While it’s charming at any time of day, if you really want to experience its true beauty and peaceful vibe, visit after 8:30 or 9:00 PM. During the evening, the area can get quite crowded with pilgrims and tourists, but at night, the rush fades away, and you can enjoy the calm, soothing atmosphere by the Ganga River and the ghats. The illuminated bridge reflecting on the water looks absolutely magical — it’s a sight to remember. 🌙 The area feels completely safe for women and families, as police patrols are active and vigilant even late at night. There are no miscreants or disturbances, making it a peaceful place to stroll, sit by the river, or simply absorb the serene energy of Rishikesh. If you love quiet moments, twinkling lights, and the sound of flowing water, Ram Jhula at night will surely touch your heart. 💛

Since the closure of Laxman Jhulla to vehicular traffic, this iconic suspension bridge has become a bustling thoroughfare for both pedestrians and bikers. At any given time, the bridge is adorned with a lively crowd, creating an energetic atmosphere. The view from the bridge, overlooking the majestic Ganga River and the captivating sight of rafting activities below, adds to its charm. Approaching the Ramjhulla parking side, visitors are treated to a picturesque view of the Ganges. Toward the end of the bridge, on the left-hand side, lies Goa Beach, offering a serene escape along the riverbank. Crossing the Jhulla and continuing on the left, one encounters the road leading to Laxman Jhulla. On the right side, the area is adorned with renowned tourist destinations, predominantly ashrams such as Parmarth Niketan, Swargashram, and Sivanand. Notably, the famous Chotiwala restaurants are also situated on this side, providing a taste of local cuisine. The allure of Ram Jhulla is further heightened during the evening when the entire structure is illuminated, casting a warm glow across the surroundings. This nightly transformation enhances the bridge's beauty, creating a captivating ambiance that draws visitors to witness the enchanting play of lights against the backdrop of the flowing Ganga River. Ram Jhulla stands not only as a functional crossing but also as a symbol of vibrancy and charm in the heart of Rishikesh. Significance & Function Spiritual Hub: Connects important spiritual centers like Sivananda Ashram and Swargashram, making it a vital crossing point for devotees. Nice experience, Devine place, One can visit on weekends. When you will just cross Ram Jhula, turn left side (instead of right)100 meter, a beautiful view is waiting for you.you will find benches on the bank of Ganga or you go down on sand beach. Opposite to benches economic and good guest houses are available @₹700-₹3500. If you want go to some crowded place or market then turn right from Ram Jhula. There you may participate in ganga aarti, shoping, fooding, tea, coffee, etc. Yes, walking around is nice, when you reach Laxman jhula must enjoy Honey-ginger lemon tea.

Hanging bridge joints left bank of Ganga River to Right bank where Swargashram is situated. In Rishikesh it's about 500 metres long and 10 feet width. Two wheelers are strictly prohibited on this way.At the Rishikesh, when we reached at Ram Jhula,a group of 6-7 persons comes from Canada n leaded by Sandra, introduced by her to all members and talk 👄 😀 😄 😉 about their good and bitter experience in Haridwar and Rishikesh. Very calm, funny and pleasant group, so we share our journey n memories with them.

The Beatles Ashram

Ashram
Sights & Landmarks
The Beatles Ashram, located about 3 km from Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh, was once a quiet place for yoga and meditation under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. However, it gained global attention in 1968 when The Beatles visited to learn about Transcendental Meditation. Today, the ashram features Beatles art and graffiti. The area is a mystical campus with stunning architecture nestled in a forested area near the Ganges.
A calm and scenic place surrounded by nature, with old meditation caves and creative art on the walls. It has a peaceful vibe and is great for photography and quiet walks. But the area needs more care and maintenance. Many parts are broken, there’s no proper seating, and paths are not well-kept. Still, they charge an entry fee of ₹200, which feels too high for the current condition. The government should take better care of this historic place. Worth visiting once for the vibe and views, but it could be much better.

★★★★★ / 🌿 “A Timeless Melody of Peace, Art & Nature in Rishikesh!” 🌿 The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutiya) in Rishikesh is not just a historic spot — it’s a soulful retreat that beautifully blends nature, art, and the lingering legacy of music. Once home to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram, where The Beatles stayed in 1968 and composed many of their iconic songs, this place still echoes with creativity and serenity. Nestled on the banks of the Ganga and embraced by the Rajaji Tiger Reserve, the ashram has an otherworldly calm. Walking through its abandoned meditation huts, crumbling stone pathways, and moss-covered walls feels like stepping into a peaceful time capsule. The silence here is profound — you hear the wind in the trees, birdsong, and your own footsteps — offering a rare space for reflection and stillness. ⸻ 🌟 Highlights of the Experience • Historic Legacy: Knowing that The Beatles, along with other artists and seekers, meditated and created music here adds a magical energy to the visit. Fans of the band will feel the nostalgia instantly. • Street-Art & Graffiti: The ashram walls are covered with vibrant murals and Beatles-inspired artwork by international artists. Every corner feels like a living gallery that celebrates music and peace. • Meditation Huts (Chaurasi Kutiya): These dome-shaped stone huts are scattered throughout the ashram. Exploring them is fascinating — they feel raw yet inviting, and many still have an aura of tranquility. • Nature & Scenery: The ashram is surrounded by lush forests and offers glimpses of the Ganges. The air feels fresh, and the natural silence makes it a rejuvenating experience. • Peaceful Vibe: Despite being a popular tourist site, the ashram retains its calm energy. It’s a wonderful place for meditation, photography, or simply sitting under a tree and soaking in the moment. ⸻ 📝 Practical Details • Entry: There’s a nominal entry fee (for both Indian and international visitors) which is worth it for the well-maintained paths and restored sections. • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon — the light is softer, the air is cooler, and it’s less crowded. • Duration: Ideally set aside 1.5 to 2 hours to walk, explore, and sit quietly. • Photography: The combination of ruins, murals, forest, and domes makes this a paradise for photographers. • Walkability: Expect a lot of walking inside; wear comfortable shoes as paths can be uneven. • Safety: The site feels safe and secure; there’s a forest vibe but nothing to worry about during visiting hours. ⸻ 💭 Final Thoughts The Beatles Ashram is more than a tourist destination — it’s a soulful pause in the rush of travel. Whether you come for its history, its art, or its quiet connection to nature, you leave feeling a little lighter and more inspired. ⭐ Overall: A must-visit in Rishikesh — perfect for music lovers, history buffs, meditators, artists, or anyone seeking peace amidst nature’s charm. ✨ Review by @the_solo_wanderer_ For more soulful journeys and untold stories, search me on Instagram 🌿📸

Recommended visit time needed approx 2hrs. Costs for foreigners is 1200 rupi. Located in a white corner of the mountain. Very interesting to see where the Beatles spent some time connecting to there inner self escaping all the worldly noise. You just walk around and feel the peace. Birds chirping. You see the bungalow where the Beatles stayed. You see a small gallery with a bunch of photos of the Beatles in the ashram. There is a Small canteen where you can buy drinks and lunch.
Moshe M — Google review
I finally visited this place on my third trip to Rishikesh. I had high expectations, but I left a bit disappointed. The road leading to the ashram is quite tricky and feels more like off-roading. There are no proper guidelines or directions about where to go first—you just end up wandering around the ashram. The place is huge, and the meditation domes made from river stones are quite interesting. Apart from that, there’s a small gallery near the canteen displaying photos from when the Beatles actually visited the ashram. Overall, I feel the ₹200 entry fee isn’t justified. With better maintenance and proper guidance, the experience would definitely be worth it.

The Beatles Ashram, Rishikesh A peaceful nature trail ideal for meditation and reconnecting with yourself. The walk through the woods is scenic and soothing, though the old huts (“kutiyas”) are now poorly maintained. The ticket feels slightly overpriced, but the calm aura and greenery make up for it. Don’t miss the canteen’s pahadi wali Maggi! 🍃 Wear comfy shoes and watch out for monkeys — a lovely spot for a long, mindful walk in nature.

The ruins of an old ashram in Rishikesh. You can spent around 2 hours to see it around. The stone caves for medition built of the hand picked pebbles from Ganga river is the highlight here. It's not well maintained though. It's part of s tiger reserve now.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is a significant spiritual site located on the banks of the Ganges River. It is considered the biggest and busiest ghat along the river, holding immense religious importance for Hindus. The evening Aarti, known as Maha Aarti, is a pure and sacred ritual that attracts many devotees. This ghat is renowned for its serene ambiance during early morning hours when visitors can witness the tranquil beauty of sunrise and experience a profound sense of peace.
Must visit place when you are travelling to Rushikesh. The aarti at Triveni ghat is a devotional experience. Reach early to get a good spot for attending the aarti. In winter months aarti starts around 6pm. After the aarti there is Bhajan where one can enjoy the spiritual connection.

I have vitnessed almost all famous aartis of GANGAJI at Haridwar and Rishikesh during the trip but Aarti at Triveni Ghat is One of the best Gangaji Aarti I have. View of Sunset is just refreshing. And only Aarti where everyone is allowed to do Aarti at Free of cost by the management. Management themselves provide Aarti thalis to many people and they shares thalis with each other so each and everyone can enjoy and participate at Aarti. And story doesn't ends here, Bhajan starts after Aarti and surely you will get goosebumps if you have vitnessed the joy. In short don't miss it if you are visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is a beautiful and peaceful place to experience the true spirit of the Ganga. The atmosphere here is calm in the mornings and truly divine during the evening Ganga Aarti. Watching the lamps floating on the river with the sound of chants feels magical. The area is well-maintained, and you can sit by the river to relax or take a holy dip. It’s one of those places where you feel peace and positivity all around. A must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Rishikesh.

Triveni Ghat is a truly spiritual and beautiful destination in Rishikesh. The evening Ganga Aarti is mesmerizing, with soulful chants and vibrant rituals that create an uplifting atmosphere. Sitting by the banks of the Ganges surrounded by mountains, you feel tremendous peace and positive energy. It can get crowded during the Aarti, so arrive early to get a good spot. The whole experience — from the holy dip in the river to the aarti and the nearby temples — makes Triveni Ghat a must-visit for anyone seeking serenity and divine vibes in Rishikesh.

Well managed. Entry is started at 5 pm for the Arti at 6 pm. Orderly queue is started at 5. People pay to offer 'special' puja, and they're allowed to/ are conducted fpr puja before the Aarti begins. It's well choreographed. Quite a spectacle.

A very beautiful place to be if you are spiritual. Usually a must visit when the Ganga Aarti happens. Usually during winters the Aarti happens at 5.30pm however it's important that you reach there 20 minutes earlier to get the front seats.

Beautifully located on the top of the mountain with Har Ki Pouri beneath it. The road ,if you go walking, is all winding and will take a long time to reach the top. There is cable car service which is pretty crowded but well organised and takes you up in minutes. The view on the way up or down is awesome, with Ganga stretching out for a very very long distance, the Har Ki Pouri, the bridges, etc you can see and the majestic mountains surrounding the area. The temple was quite crowded and people were unruly pushing and pulling, no crowd control as such. Even the darshan was difficult as people were pushing from the back. Apart from the crowd control rest is good. Jai maa Mansa Devi. 🙏

Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar is one of the most popular and sacred temples, beautifully located on the Shivalik hills overlooking the Ganga and Har Ki Pauri. Devotees can reach the temple either by walking on the winding path or by using the ropeway (Udan Khatola), which offers a stunning aerial view of the city and river. The temple gets quite crowded, especially during festivals, but the atmosphere remains deeply spiritual. Facilities like water points and sitting areas are available. Photography isn’t allowed inside. A must-visit for peace and divine blessings.

The cable car was a very good experience and offered good views. Keep hold of the ticket if you buy return. The temple complex is very cramped and offers no outside areas (unless you walk up??) The cable car waiting area was not full and the snack outlets in the temple were not open ,I assume it was a less than busy time so I dread to think how claustrophobic it would be when super busy! Shoe stand at entrance. Negotiating each little temple section without being dragged in easier as a westerner but do keep an eye on the rest of the group as we waited ages for" Tail End Charlie "at the the shoe stand on the way out!!
Musicians M — Google review
The temple is located on top of a hill accessed by a ropeway. There is some 15 minutes wait for the ropeway on crowded days. The charges are ₹190 per person and you can book ropeway for Chandi Devi temple too at a discounted package rate here. There is a sloping walkway also available. The views from the ropeway is breathtaking, but the approach to it is through narrow lanes in between houses and dilapidated structures. The Q system was good till the final steps to the temple. Then it became crowded and unruly, maybe due to Diwali week. You can buy some Prasad along the Queue which will be offered to the Goddess and given back. There is a place to keep footwear after the ropeway ride.

Perched atop the Neel Parvat in the Shivalik Hills, Shri Maa Chandi Devi Temple is a historic Hindu pilgrimage site with a rich legacy. Built in 1929, it is believed to house an ancient idol of the goddess dating back to the 8th century. The temple attracts devotees year-round and is known as a Siddha Peetha, where worshippers seek fulfillment of their desires.
Chandi devi temple located at hilltop of Neel Parvat was memorable experience. We went by ropeway to enjoy bird's eye view of Haridwar, Ganda river and surrounding hills. Early Morning Trekking is also good option to enjoy panaramic view. You can either buy combo of Mansa devi and chandi devi temple the only thing is you should be able to reach both temples on the same day if there's no long queues then it's easy. When we went in 2022 combo charges 324 rs per person while only chandi devi temple ticket charges 195 rs per person. Temple is clean and well maintained. Temple premises contains idols of lord kali ma, sankat mochan hanuman, Maa Annapurna, Santoshi Maa etc. This siddhpeeth is heavy crowded on festive like Navratri and holiday season. There are waiting halls at each levels and quite nice dining cafe inside and children game area to spend sometime. You'll find beautiful dress photography studies at all places in haridwar rishikesh masoorie.

We visited Maa Chandi Devi Temple and had a wonderful spiritual and scenic experience. We went up using the ropeway, which was truly enjoyable — the short 5-minute ride offered beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding greenery. It felt peaceful and refreshing. After reaching the top, we took the blessings of Maa Chandi Devi, and also visited the nearby Hanuman, Anjana Mata, and Santoshi Mata temples. The place has a divine atmosphere, and the entire visit felt serene and fulfilling. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers. The combination of the ropeway ride and the temple’s peaceful ambiance makes it a memorable experience.

Ma Chandi Devi Mandir, located on the beautiful Neel Parvat hill in Haridwar, is one of the most sacred and enchanting temples in Uttarakhand. Dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi, this temple is not only a significant spiritual destination but also a place that fills the heart with peace and devotion. According to mythology, the temple marks the site where Goddess Chandi defeated the demons Chanda and Munda, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The journey to the temple itself is memorable. Devotees can either trek up the hill or take the ropeway (Udan Khatola), which is an experience in itself. The ropeway offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Ganga River, the lush green forests, and the entire city of Haridwar. As you ascend, the cool breeze and scenic beauty make the ride truly mesmerizing. It feels as if you’re floating above nature’s divine canvas. The temple premises are clean, well-maintained, and radiate positive energy. The aura of the Goddess, combined with the chants of devotees, creates a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Visiting Ma Chandi Devi Mandir is not just a religious trip—it’s a soulful experience that connects you with faith, nature, and inner peace. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Haridwar.

Joyita S — Google review
The temple is peaceful and worth visiting, but the overall management is poor. Ropeway waiting time is 1–2 hours and the area is overcrowded. Biggest issue is returning without your own vehicle — auto drivers refuse to go unless their big autos are full, making tourists wait for hours. Strongly recommend visiting only if you have your own transport. We recently visited Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar and while the temple itself is serene and spiritually uplifting, the overall experience left us disappointed due to poor management around the visit. To reach the temple, you need to take the tram (ropeway) service, but the waiting time is extremely long — anywhere between 1–2 hours. The starting point for the tram is overcrowded, which makes the wait even more uncomfortable. There are some small shops for souvenirs, snacks, and games, but that doesn’t balance the chaos. Once you reach the top, there is a small hike via stairway to the temple. The stairs are divided into two sides — one for going up (which is in good condition) and one for coming down (which is poorly maintained and quite difficult to walk on). All of this could still be manageable, but the biggest problem starts when you have to return to your hotel or onward destination without your own vehicle. The auto drivers outside act like goons — they refuse to take passengers unless their large autos are filled completely, or you hire the entire vehicle even if you’re a single person. When I asked small auto drivers, they said they’re afraid of the big ones as they get threatened or beaten if they pick up customers from there. We ended up waiting more than an hour just to get back, which completely ruined the experience. The temple is worth visiting, but I strongly recommend going with your own vehicle. The authorities really need to step in and resolve this transportation issue, as it’s making tourists suffer unnecessarily.

Shree Daksheshwar Mahadev - Daksh Prajapati Temple is a vibrant and significant Hindu temple situated near the River Ganges. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds historical importance related to the tale of King Daksha, Sati, and Lord Shiva.
The temple where Mata sati was born and also the same place where she jumped into the hawan kund, when mahadev is insulted by his father. After listening to this that Mata sati is no more mahadev incarnate veerbhadra one of his most aggressive and powerful entity and command him to kill prajapati daksh, and also command him if any God, Gandharva, army, demi God came up in his way then also kill them but don't stop.. so veerbhadra defeated the whole army and tear them like a piece of paper and killed the prajapati daksh by his single attack and separate his head from his body. After that mahadeb took Mata sati body and roamed in the entire world here and there , and seeing this lord Vishnu start cutting Mata sati body in many parts and each part fallen down on earth and where the all 108 pieces are fall are today's known as shaktipeeth..

Where Divinity Meets Eternity – Daksheswar Mahadev Temple, Kankhal In the serene heart of Kankhal, Haridwar, lies Daksheswar Mahadev Temple — more than just a temple, it is a place where myth and divinity quietly breathe as one. This sacred site holds deep significance in Hindu mythology, marking the place where King Daksha performed his yajna and where Goddess Sati, overcome with grief and devotion, surrendered herself to the sacred fire. The temple echoes the divine tale of Lord Shiva’s sorrow, the creation of Virbhadra, and the eternal love between Shiva and Sati — a story of cosmic energy, sacrifice, and spiritual union. Even today, the energy here is palpable — peaceful yet deeply powerful. As you walk through the temple’s corridors, you don’t just witness devotion… you feel it. The gentle chimes of the bells, the fragrance of incense, and the chants in the air transport you to another realm. It’s a place where time slows down, where the heart feels light, and where the spirit quietly bows. A must-visit for every spiritual traveler, devotee, or seeker of divine peace. Daksheswar Mahadev Temple is not just a destination — it’s a divine moment carved into the heart of Haridwar. Shree Daksheshwar Mahadev, also known as Daksh Prajapati Temple, is one of the most sacred and peaceful temples in Haridwar. The temple is deeply connected with the story of Goddess Sati and Lord Shiva, making it a significant place in Hindu mythology. The atmosphere here is calm and divine, perfect for meditation and prayer. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed with traditional architecture. It usually remains less crowded, allowing devotees to perform darshan peacefully. A must-visit for every Shiva bhakt visiting Haridwar, offering both spiritual energy and historical importance.

Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir

Mentioned on
1 list
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir is a reconstructed Shiva temple and pilgrimage site in Meerut, known for its ornate gopura gates and mythological carvings. This Hindu temple holds both religious and historical significance, as it was the starting point of the great revolt for India's independence in 1857. Located in the Cantonment area of Meerut, this renowned temple is a popular tourist attraction.
It is said that the tree under which Mangal Pandey and his companions planned the revolt of 1857... Was in this temple's premise. But even if you ignore the historical significance of it, the temple in itself is a brilliant piece of architecture, covered in marble stone. Such a luxury it was to visit the temple.
Super P — Google review
Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir, also known as the Augharnath Temple, is a deeply spiritual and historically significant temple located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is not only a sacred religious site but also holds a unique place in India’s history, as it is associated with the First War of Independence in 1857. It's often referred to as the "Kali Paltan Mandir" due to its connection with the Indian sepoys of that era. The temple architecture is beautiful, combining spiritual ambiance with historical reverence. The Shivling inside the sanctum is powerful, and the daily aarti rituals, especially during early mornings and evenings, are truly divine. The energy here is peaceful and grounding—a perfect place for meditation or quiet prayer. The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, with facilities like shoe racks, drinking water, and seating areas for elderly visitors. Devotees from all over India visit this temple, especially during Mondays and Mahashivratri, when the temple is beautifully decorated and filled with devotional energy. Useful Tips for Visitors: Visit early in the morning for a peaceful darshan and to avoid crowds. Mondays are especially auspicious for Lord Shiva, but expect a larger crowd. Keep your footwear at the designated area; the staff ensures it is safe. Photography inside the temple sanctum is generally not allowed—be respectful of the rules. You can offer milk, belpatra, and flowers, which are easily available from stalls nearby. Try to visit the small museum adjacent to the temple to learn more about its connection to India’s freedom struggle. Parking is available nearby, but it can get crowded during festivals or weekends—plan accordingly. Overall, Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir is not just a place of worship, but a powerful spiritual and historical destination that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a devotee of Lord Shiva or a history enthusiast, this temple is a must-visit in Meerut. Har Har Mahadev! 🕉️🙏

The Kali Paltan Temple in Meerut is one of those rare places where history and spirituality meet perfectly. Known as one of the oldest temples in the city, it’s not just a religious spot but also a symbol of India’s first freedom struggle in 1857. The peaceful atmosphere, the divine energy of Maa Kali, and the old-world charm make it a must-visit for anyone coming to Meerut. The temple is well-maintained, easily accessible, and surrounded by small local shops selling flowers and prasad. Early morning and evening aarti are truly powerful moments the sound of the bells and chants just lift your spirit. If you’re visiting Meerut, don’t miss this temple. It’s not just about worship it’s about feeling the strength and spirit of our history.

The only nice mall in the city of meerut. Although it is quite far from my location it takes almost 30 mins to reach. But the experience here not less than the malls in other big cities. Thus it still lacks in the availability of many big brands. Mall is hygienic and cleanliness level is up to the mark. It also has cinema inside and it has newly opened gaming arena for kids. A must visit place in meerut as food court offers quality food and service.

Drizzling Land is a fun getaway if you’re looking to beat the heat and spend a full day unwinding. The water rides are the highlight, especially the wave pool and the big slides, which are genuinely exciting without feeling unsafe. The place is fairly spacious, so even on busy days you don’t feel too crowded. The staff is polite and attentive, and the lifeguards actually pay attention, which adds a lot of comfort. Food options are decent with good variety, though a bit on the pricier side, which is typical for parks like this. Overall, it’s a solid spot for families, couples, or a group of friends looking for a refreshing day out. Clean pools, good rides, and a cheerful vibe make it worth the trip. Sachin Tyagi

Drizzling land is the perfect "summer day out" location to spend a memorable time with your family or friends. The ticket prices are cheaper compared to other water parks while the rides and slides are at par with the rest. The hygiene is well maintained. The water slides and pools are clean and cool. There are multiple pool areas and atleast 20+ slides to enjoy. Safety is considered at all locations within. The amusement rides are equally thrilling. The food court is also amazing, serves ample quantity of food at affordable prices. You can easily enjoy an entire day here or as much as you can !!! I highly recommend Drizzling Land !!!

Located just near sideby duhai rapid railway station this water park is on delhi meerut highway in easy to reach also nearby peripheral expressway. Ticket rates are economical and you can park your vehicle at railway parking just outside the water park. Water quality is ok but not fresh and well chlorinated. Changing rooms are well and lockers are sufficient in size. Children's pool, kempty fall and slow river is good. Although they have many rides but each ride faces a long queue for waiting. Wave pool is super having strong waves. Canteen food is good. Roller coaster ride is very thrilling and many rides for kids at amusement park. Drinking water is avilable inside at cooling machines unlike other water parks which force to purchase water bottle inside. Please avoid sundays and holidays as there is great rush and you can miss many rides.

The Grand Venice Mall, also known as TGV mall, is an Italian-themed shopping center that aims to recreate the magic of Venice. With its Venetian-style architecture, canals, and gondola rides, it offers a unique experience for visitors. The mall features replicas of famous Venetian structures like the Leaning Tower of Pisa and Roman sculptures. It's not just a shopping destination but also an architectural delight and entertainment spot.
Great Experience. Amazing infrastructure, based on Italy theme. Too many shops and also a large food court to eat. Also, there is a game centre. Also, there is boating facility, which will cost you rs.300 per person on weekdays and rs.400 on weekends. Overall, a new and good experience.
ARJUN — Google review
The ambiance is uniquely calming and relaxing, thanks to the Venice theme. However, the mall is not well-maintained, with many areas showing neglect, and a large number of closed and empty stores make the atmosphere feel disappointingly deserted. Great concept, poor execution.
Prashant P — Google review
The Grand Venice Mall is praised for its unique Venetian-style architecture, including gondola rides on internal canals, a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and a vibrant atmosphere. Visitors appreciate the variety of shops, a large food court with diverse options, and entertainment such as movies and a live show. However, some downsides noted in reviews include the cost of the gondola ride, which is sometimes described as expensive for the duration, and the ongoing construction in some areas. Overall, it's considered a unique destination for a few hours of entertainment and shopping, though its appeal as a primary destination for serious shoppers is debated, especially for those in nearby Delhi. Positive aspects: Unique architecture: The mall is noted for its Venetian theme, including canals and gondola rides. Variety of options: Reviewers mention a good range of branded shops, a large food court, a movie hall, and other entertainment options. Atmosphere: Many find the ambiance to be aesthetically pleasing and a good place for family outings. Negative aspects: Cost: The gondola ride is frequently mentioned as being expensive for the short duration. Construction: Some parts of the mall are still under construction, which can be a drawback.
Ragib S — Google review
A unique Venice-themed mall with gondola rides, canals, and stunning architecture that really feels like Italy. Great for photos and a relaxed outing. Shops and food outlets are there, but on weekdays it feels quiet and less lively. Worth visiting for the experience more than shopping.

The Grand Venice Mall is a beautiful place to visit with family or friends. The Venice-style design, gondola rides, and wide range of shops make it a fun and relaxing spot. Great for shopping, dining, and spending quality time together. Truly one of Noida’s best malls! 🌸

Visited this mall with great expectations but got really disappointed. The place looks very old and poorly maintained. Paint is coming off, cracks on the walls, and hardly any shops are open. Feels like no one is taking care of it anymore. From outside too it looks dull and worn out. Such a big mall but completely wasted potential.
Abhi A — Google review
The Grand Venice Mall in Greater Noida is a unique and visually stunning shopping destination that stands out for its Italian-inspired architecture. Modeled after the canals and landmarks of Venice, it offers a picturesque and immersive experience with gondola rides, ornate bridges, and grand facades that make it feel like a European escape in the heart of India. The mall houses a wide variety of retail outlets, including national and international brands, making it a convenient place for both shopping and entertainment. From fashion and electronics to cosmetics and lifestyle products, there's something for everyone. The food court is diverse, offering a range of cuisines—from Indian street food to global fast-food chains—catering to varied tastes. One of the highlights is the indoor entertainment zone, featuring attractions like Snow Mastiii (an indoor snow park), a gaming arcade, and a multiplex cinema, making it a great family-friendly destination. Cleanliness, security, and ample parking add to the convenience. However, some parts of the mall still feel underutilized or in development, which can slightly affect the overall experience. Despite that, The Grand Venice Mall remains a must-visit for its aesthetics and range of activities. Whether you're looking to shop, dine, or just enjoy the ambiance, it offers a memorable day out.

Entry exit of mall was really confusing. No escalator was working. PVR was good. However exit stairs were not clean. You won't have to waste anytime in looking for it. It's super easy to locate and reach inside. The seats are pretty good and the price is also reasonable for both 2d and 3d. They also provide offers for meals in the theatre that's a plus point if you're really hungry and don't want to spend too much in popcorn. The waiting area is very spacious and well decorated for those photo lovers, lots of posters of upcoming movies

First Mall of Delhi , ANSAL PLAZA MALL , is located near Pari Chowk, Amit Nagar, Sadarpur, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. When opened, Ansal Plaza was very popular among the shoppers and enjoyed the full success due to its Amphitheater, food court, and special offerings. Gradually it stopped attracting and inviting people when the new and bigger Malls started coming in the NCR with better amenities . It’s an example of very poor management and failure of management to adapt to changing customers preferences. Now the Mall is almost closed. Here ,in the case of Ansal Plaza Mall , The Darwin’s theory is 100% correct- Struggle for existence & Survival of fittest.
Umesh T — Google review
The existence of this mall raises questions, as it appears to be largely vacant. Shoppers are unlikely to find any useful goods or have substantial shopping options, and even when options are available, they are quite limited. The mall offers significant space, and management possesses the opportunity to implement changes relatively quickly, given its prime location.

This mall is just a big building with no actual humans in it. About 10-15 shops were there. The entrance is like a horror movie. The whole mall looks like it could turn into a horror movie anytime. Don’t recommend any girl to go there alone as it will scare you a lot.

The massive red sandstone walls look even more majestic when lit up with decorative lights, giving the fort a vibrant yet spiritual glow. The evenings are especially lively — cultural programs, devotional music, and traditional dance performances create an atmosphere that celebrates both our heritage and the spirit of the festival. Walking around, you can feel the energy of people dressed in colorful attire, offering prayers, and enjoying the Navratri spirit with their families. The food stalls outside and nearby are another highlight, serving a mix of festive special vrat food and traditional Delhi street snacks. Whether it’s sabudana khichdi, kuttu ki puri, or a comforting chai, the flavors add to the overall experience. One of the best parts is the sense of unity you feel here. Tourists, locals, and devotees all come together to enjoy the festival in the backdrop of one of India’s most iconic monuments. The combination of historical richness and festive spirit makes it an unforgettable visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Glorious Symbol of India’s Heritage! The Red Fort is truly a breathtaking masterpiece that captures the essence of India’s rich history and Mughal architecture. The massive red sandstone walls, grand gateways, and beautifully designed courtyards make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The museum inside offers a fascinating glimpse into India’s past, and the evening light and sound show is an absolute must-watch — it brings the fort’s history alive in a magical way!

Red fort - Delhi A true piece of architecture !!! Walls of the fort goes feets above and feets wider. Fort surrounded by the deep waters makes enemies difficult to enter. Through the main gate you can enter and then you can start seeing some amazing entrance walls. After that there white stone monuments where it's restricted to enter but you can see from closure look. There are meausems inside the fort and had amazing collections of history. You need minimum of 2 to 3 hous of time to see every architecture of the red fort. We took tour bus and rushing to see all the places but couldn't make it to meausems. Well mentained gardens and there are good facilities and sit and rest. If you're visiting during the month of March to September make sure you are carrying enough water and electrols. During winters it's best time to visit and wear warms cloths and enjoy the weather.

Beautiful place, with free entrance - but rates apply for shows (takes about 2 hours). Note: no camera, phone , electrical devices and no cigarettes allowed - will need to be stored on-site. Expect crowd, but it's handled and systematic. Worth a visit, and average take 1-2 hours (exclude show time)

Wow! What a place the architecture is mind blowing water show is also very good but they are not allowing any electronic items inside the temple 🥲

Akshardham Temple, Largest Hindu temple in world is a divine place. It's more than temple, it's actually a hub of great architectural designs that are carved on rocks and marble. Main things to see: ceilings of each dome inside temple, pillars and Mandovar. Great example of great and rich culture.

Its actually a masterpiece with very good architecture but they dont allow you to bring phone and camera inside

Akshardham An amazing beautiful peaceful temple. Must visit place if you are in New Delhi. Metro station also there and is just 100 meter apart. Akshardham is really beautiful the main temple is really beautifully crafted. The outer architecture is beautiful and also the inner marbel architecture was more than beautiful. The roof of the main temple is just amazing. The best and the most beautiful part is the main temple where the colors are too good. Note :- You can not take your phone 📱, camera 📷, so you have to stand in the queue to summit them in the cloak room. Secure cloak room 5/5. After the cloak room there is a security check which will be done in a minute you just have to remove your wallet and belt and that's it they will check you and let you pass. Strong security check. Best place to visit.

Goosebumps!! What a spectacular sight.... The beauty of this temple and its surrounding can not be described in words. Its just like a painting on a canvas. Even after so much of crowd, this place is yet very peaceful and relaxing for your soul. The light show and musical fountain add to the beauty of this place. MUST VISIT
Nikhil B — Google review
The architecture is undoubtedly breathtaking and this place is worth a visit. However the staff is rude, timings of rides and events are not mentioned correctly on the website and not allowing purses or phones inside is incomprehensible. Why should we be asked to return or have to leave our valuables insecurely in cabs. Why not be transparant and allow cellphones. And what harm can purses and bags do...just use security measures. Even airports allow bags, so why shouldn't this place!!!

Jama Masjid, a magnificent 17th-century Mughal-style mosque located in India, is a stunning example of Mughal architecture. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan, it features red sandstone and marble structures with impressive minarets reaching 40 meters high. The mosque's vast courtyards can accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers and offer picturesque views for visitors.
It is one of the most stunning pieces of architecture I have seen. It’s very well built. I also went to the top of one of the pillars, and the view of Delhi from there looks amazing. It is usually very crowded outside Jama Masjid, so if you don’t like crowds, keep that in mind. During both day and night, the view looks great, and the architecture looks even more beautiful with the lighting.

Jama Masjid is one of the most beautiful and historic mosques in India. The architecture is stunning, with red sandstone and white marble giving it a royal Mughal touch. The mosque feels peaceful and spiritual, even with all the activity around. You can climb the minaret for a great view of Old Delhi — it’s totally worth it! Just remember to dress modestly (cover legs and shoulders), and be respectful during prayer times. The market nearby — especially Karim’s and Al-Jawahar — is perfect for delicious Mughlai food after your visit. Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5) — a must-visit if you’re exploring Delhi’s heritage and culture.

The mosque was built between 1644 and 1656. It was the final architectural project of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is built primarily of red sandstone and white marble. The mosque is situated on a high, 30-foot-high red sandstone porch, covering approximately 1,200 square meters. It is visible from a distance of up to five kilometers. Gates and courtyard The mosque has three gateways: North, South, and East. The Eastern Gate was the royal entrance, reserved for emperors and their associates, and is the main entrance today. The North and South gates are reached by staircases. The large square courtyard can accommodate up to 25,000 worshippers at a time. In the center of the courtyard is a marble ablution tank. Minarets and domes Two tall minarets stand in the mosque, with the one on the southern side open to the public for a small fee. Each minaret is 41 meters (135 feet) high and has 130 steps. The minarets have viewing galleries at three points along their height. The roof of the main prayer hall is crowned with three large domes made of white marble.

What a place !! Such a beautiful place with so many people adoring the beauty but its too crowded and you can barely take a good click, now it has a operational masjid and a big wadu place outside, if you know namaz and timings you can pray and be in peace, there is a huge shopping area outside front and right side is best place for non veg people its like a feast! And luckily there are no scammer like some guide or some dargah people who scam people for chaddar and shopping, its a very decent and beautiful mosque

My visit to Jama Masjid, Delhi was a truly enriching and memorable experience. As one of the largest and most historic mosques in India, the monument stands as a magnificent example of Mughal architecture and spiritual heritage. The moment you step inside the courtyard, the peaceful atmosphere and grand scale of the structure immediately capture your attention. The marble domes, tall minarets, and beautifully carved arches reflect the timeless craftsmanship of the Mughal era. The mosque offers plenty of space for visitors to walk around, sit quietly, and admire its beauty. Climbing the minaret (if open) gives an incredible panoramic view of Old Delhi, which is definitely worth the effort. The environment felt calm and respectful, even though the surrounding area outside is busy and vibrant. I appreciate that the mosque authorities maintain cleanliness inside the complex, and the entry process is smooth. Visitors should be mindful of dress codes and basic etiquette, as it is an active place of worship. Overall, Jama Masjid is a must-visit spot in Delhi—not only for its historical significance but also for the sense of serenity it offers amidst the bustling city. A beautiful blend of spirituality, culture, and architectural brilliance. Highly recommended!

Jama Masjid in Delhi is one of India’s largest and most famous mosques. Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1650–1656 . It sits in Old Delhi near the Red Fort. On a small hill , it has overview on the near markets around . The mosque features grand red-sandstone and marble architecture, three domes, and two tall minarets. It can hold tens of thousands of worshippers at once and remains an active religious site as well as a popular historical attraction. At Entry must take shoes off and kee outside . At sunset starts to close the main yard , but still open for Ishaa prayer .

Super polluted and over crowded , this place is good wide open park and water areas to sit and spend good time with friends and family but but its so crowded and polluted that you can barely see india gate, all smoke and no visibility at 50-100m , and so many tour guides and travel group counting on your money, with some scammer and lots lots of force photographer, save your money, time and health, its better you divert towards any low crowd and good air place, i stopped smoking for quite sometime now but when i went to delhi i felt chest burn and heavy breathing problems. But its a good protected area , if government take proper steps then that place looks majestic

One of the best places to visit in Delhi. Here, you truly see many colours of life — and if you’re not mature enough, this place will teach you what real humility looks like. Me and my friends were so touched that we took an oath: If we achieve something in life, we will sponsor one day of langar. That’s how deeply this place impacted us. People come in high-end luxury cars and still do seva — serving langar, working in the cloakroom, picking up others’ shoes and cleaning them. If you think you’ve achieved something in life, come here once. You’ll see people far above you doing seva with such simplicity and grace that it humbles your ego instantly. We visit this place every time we have a late-night train from Delhi Station. The food is simple, pure, and truly feeds your soul. Please be respectful towards their customs and rituals. This place isn’t just for visiting — it’s for experiencing, learning, and feeling.

A Soulful Evening with V-Gather at Bangla Sahib Gurudwara As a member of V-Gather, Delhi NCR’s most vibrant meetup group for weekend activities, heritage walks, and making new friends, I recently had the privilege of visiting Bangla Sahib Gurudwara with the group. The experience was nothing short of transformative. From the moment we stepped inside, a sense of peace enveloped us. The stunning golden dome glistened under the evening sky, and the soothing sounds of Gurbani (holy hymns) created an atmosphere of serenity. Our group of curious explorers, including many first-time visitors, was warmly welcomed by the volunteers. We learned about the rich history of the Gurudwara and the selfless service it represents. The highlight of our visit was the Langar—the community kitchen that serves free meals to thousands daily. Volunteering in the Langar, even for a short while, was a humbling experience. Preparing food, serving meals, and witnessing the seamless teamwork among volunteers left a deep impression on all of us. Sharing a simple yet delicious meal sitting alongside people from all walks of life felt like a beautiful lesson in equality and humanity. The Sarovar (holy water tank) added to the tranquility, with its clear waters reflecting the Gurudwara’s grandeur. We spent moments sitting by its edge, soaking in the spiritual vibes and engaging in heartfelt conversations. For many in our group, this visit was not just about exploring a heritage site but about connecting with their inner selves and with one another. Bangla Sahib Gurudwara is more than a religious place—it’s a sanctuary of peace, service, and unity. It provided the perfect setting for our V-Gather meetup, allowing us to bond over shared experiences and meaningful moments. If you haven’t visited yet, do so with an open heart. You’ll leave with a lighter soul and a renewed perspective. Thank you, Bangla Sahib, for an unforgettable evening. And thank you, V-Gather, for yet another beautiful memory!

I recently traveled through Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and was genuinely impressed. The airport is modern, clean, and well-organized. The check-in and security processes were smooth, and signage was clear throughout, which made navigating the terminals relatively easy, even during busy hours. The terminal interiors are spacious and aesthetically pleasing, with plenty of seating areas and a good selection of food outlets and shops. The duty-free section is well-stocked, and there are quiet zones available for those looking to relax. One area where there’s slight room for improvement is the immigration process—it was a bit slow during peak hours, and the lines could have been better managed. Also, Wi-Fi connectivity was a bit patchy at times. Overall, a world-class airport that continues to improve with each visit. A solid 3-star experience! The Depart was awful this immigration officers think they owned the airport!

It is one of my favourites in the world, yes, in the world. Its architecture is really beautiful and well thought out. Plus the way it is built and the scale of it is unbelievable and everything is well managed. I really like the departure gate setting they have. Many airports make it complicated, but Delhi makes it super simple. If your gate is changed, you can easily make it to different gates. Also, you have really nice food, a nice area to relax, and everything is well arranged. The views are really good for flight takeoff and landing. Plus, they have a really nice lounge and everything. I always choose Delhi to catch my international flights.
