Very good place to spend a day's time with your team. You have to trek for 20 mins to reach the camp once vehicle is parked in the nearby village. The camp organizes a few team building activities and adventure activities like rope walking, kayaking and boating in manchanbele dam. But the fun part is that you are allowed to swim in the waters with a life jacket. They also serve decent Breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee snacks.

The main attraction of this place is water. been there for one day outing. Food is not at all good. But you will enjoy the day. Also location is beautiful 😍 .Rest room is too far and why there is no mirror?

Water sports activities are good but they have less boats now available and out of all boats few are not in good working condition, food was ok keeping in mind that place is far from normal living area, rappling was good, rope activities are also ok, staffs are polite, this place is mostly for adventure loving people rather than relax,dance,games(cricket, volleyball,paintball,etc) loving people. No paintball, and mud driving.

Nice place for team outing. Best part was swimming and kayaking in river. Other than that rope activities and team building activities were good. Food was ok. Avallaki in breakfast was smelly. Had to throw it as it is. Sambhar vada and idli was good. Reached there by private bus which we booked for our team. Bus was parked at some 1.5kms away from destination. Had to track to location from there. Since its an adventure camping zone so don't expect any air conditioning room or place to rest. Your whole day is going to be tiring. We started from Bangalore at 8 and reached there by 10.30. Evening we left at 5.30 and reached back by 8.30.

A beautiful place to get away from the city and camp under the stars. The host and their staff did a great job of ensuring we had a good time. The food was amazing! They have a selection of activities to keep you occupied. Overall a good experience.

If you want only back water swimming and boating experience then this the best place. Life Saver Jackets are of good quality. Food is okay okay.

If your are ready for a 1km hike before you get to the place, then this place is for you. XtremeZone is not all that "Xtreme". The food was horrible. A local villager we talked to said that they prepare meals in a very unhygienic manner. The staff was somewhat helpful. The owners have no regards for customers though. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only plus point is the long drive.

Nice Place for a Short Trek and Peaceful Vibes Shivagange is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a short trip from Bangalore. It’s about 50 km away and perfect for a one-day outing. The place has a mix of nature, trekking, and spiritual feel. The trek is around 3 to 4 km uphill. Some parts are steep and narrow, but there are railings to help. It’s better to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowd. Make sure to carry water, wear good shoes, and be ready for some climbing. On the way up, you’ll see a few small temples and a big Nandi statue. The temple at the top is peaceful, and the view is really beautiful. I visit 21-07-25 Very Beautiful beginners trekking spot close to Bangalore. From Bangalore it's a half day adventure trip. Good to go during weekdays since there will be crowd which is safe. Else go in large groups. During weekdays carry food and water.and valakallu teertha is amezing moment.

We visited Shivagange in the early morning, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. As we started our trek just before sunrise, the cool breeze and peaceful surroundings set the perfect mood. The silence of the morning,made the whole atmosphere feel calm and spiritual. Overall, it was a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and spirituality. Visiting early in the morning is highly recommended if you want to beat the heat, avoid crowds, and enjoy the serene beauty of the place at its best.

Had a wonderful trek to Shivagange! The trail offers a mix of steps and rocky paths with beautiful views along the way. It’s best to start early morning around 6 AM to enjoy the sunrise and cool weather, as it gets quite crowded once the sun is up. You’ll see many monkeys on the way, so keep your food and water bottles safe. The monkeys are playful but can grab things quickly. At the top, the view is rewarding, but water and snacks are quite expensive, so it’s better to carry your own water to save money. Overall, it’s a moderate trek, with some steep climbs near the top, but manageable with short breaks. The vibe is peaceful in the morning, and the breeze at the peak makes it worth the effort. Highly recommended for a day trek near Bangalore if you love adventure and sunrise views!

It's a kind of park I can say.. nice place for kids and you can easily spend 2hrs here. Yo have zip sliding, rope activities, birds feeding.. don't miss taking photos with macaw it's 60rs. There is river flow which is really good. You can spend time here and there is boating activity too

Lovely place, the rope bridge across the river is main attraction. Huge market outside. Entry fee is 10 rs. Inside park after the river has rabbits, parrots, deers etc. Paddle boating is also available. Adventure sports mini versions are also available.

This place has both historical and the spiritual significance. The climb is a bit steep but steps are in good shape and the railings really help for support. There is a dress code to be followed, shorts and sleeveless not allowed so carry a spare jacket, fortunately the administration gave us a shawl which was returned after coming back. The statue offers a sense of calm and photography is allowed but selfies and drones are not allowed. Must visit place for history lovers and architecture fanatics.

There is nothing like this place. It’s a historical spiritual temple that makes you forget everything and the statue just grabs your attention. If you are physically fit it will take you around 25 mins to climb the mountain but the view, energy and every step was so worth it. I hope I come here again and again. If you have some one who can’t climb the mountain you can ask for doli at main office. The dharshan is worth it.

The church has a picturesque setting and is good for film or wedding shoots, When we went both were happening simultaneously. They say it gets partially submerged in water during rainy seasons. It's a popular spot for photography. The church's Gothic architecture and history as a former place of worship are appreciated by visitors. The church is not at its full and is completely broken with no roof and a few walls intact. I am sure it would look spooky during the night times especially during full moon and new moon day. The church looks best in the afternoon. During the peak rainy season, only one-third of the chapel is visible. The surroundings are generally quiet and peaceful, offering a serene experience. The area could be cleaner, people just litter around and there is no one to educate them. The roads leading to the church are dusty, muddy and not well-maintained.

The Settihalli Rosary Church is a stunning 19th-century structure built by French missionaries, known for its Gothic architecture and unique location inside the Hemavathi Reservoir. During the monsoon season, the church appears partially submerged, creating a surreal “floating” effect. In summer, when the water recedes, you can walk closer and admire the beautiful ruins. The area around is full of greenery, water, and agricultural fields, making it an excellent spot for photography and quiet reflection. However, note that the road to the site is narrow, and there is no dedicated parking or shops nearby, so plan accordingly. Despite these small inconveniences, the visit is absolutely worth it for its calm atmosphere, scenic beauty, and historical significance.

Quite a remarkable spot with the old structures by the bank of the reservoir. When we visited it, it wasn't submerged, but it does so during higher water level at monsoon. Temporary refreshment stalls are provided by local vendors with soda-lemon water and other beverages. It was really kept clean, credit to both visitors and local vendors alike. Gets very hot on a sunny day after 10 AM. Try to visit early, by 9 AM to avoid the heat. Car goes all the way, so accessible for elderly persons also.

Each wall, panel, and even pillar is intricately detailed — often compared to “poetry in stone.” Outer walls covered with continuous sculptural bands (friezes) arranged in horizontal tiers. Lathe-turned pillars — perfectly polished, symmetric, and reflective. Ceilings decorated with intricate floral and geometric motifs. Sanctums house Shiva Lingas, each fronted by a large Nandi (bull) pavilion. Difficult to narrate in words (See Pics) 😎 There’s a museum which houses many other sculptures, inscriptions also inside the premises. There’s a nicely maintained garden area to spend sometime after immersing in the beauty of the place. Some area that can be improved are - The road leading to temple from NH/SH can have proper sign boards and roads and traffic can be managed better. Parking lot can be maintained better. Drinking water taps doesn’t work properly.

Even a high resolution camera with all modern features cannot capture the beauty of the sculptures and carvings. This temple is a must visit site to admire the cultural and architectural mastery of the Hoysals.

Grand and magnificent temple! It's a well visited temple with full grandeur. We went on a public holiday and the crowd was huge. However the darshan inside was easy. This temple is huge so do not rush and give good time to soak in its beauty. The huge nandis are absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of parking available outside the temple.

It’s hard to believe these were carved out of stone more than 900 years ago. The craftsmanship is truly world-class. The temple is still active, so you’ll see rituals and hear bells ringing, which makes the whole experience even more special. I also took a short guided tour (which I highly recommend) — it really helped me understand the stories behind the carvings and the history of the Hoysala dynasty. The surroundings are peaceful, and the place is well-maintained. It’s a perfect spot for anyone who loves history, architecture, or just wants a calm, spiritual break from the busy city life. Recently visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site ChennaKeshava Temple and awestruck intricate craftsmanship, and spiritual grandeur of the temple and sculptures. 👍 The Chennakesava Temple at Belur, built in 1117 CE by King Vishnuvardhana, is a stunning example of Hoysala art and architecture. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it features a star-shaped plan, intricate soapstone carvings, and graceful Madanika sculptures that embody divine beauty.🎶 The Belur Temple Complex, built during the reign of the Hoysala dynasty, is centered around the magnificent Chennakesava Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, renowned for its star-shaped design and intricate soapstone carvings. Surrounding it are several smaller yet exquisitely crafted shrines, including the Kappe Chennigaraya Temple, built by Queen Shantala Devi as a miniature version of the main shrine, and the Andal (Ranganayaki) Temple, dedicated to the divine consort of Vishnu. Other notable shrines within the complex include the Saumyanayaki Temple, honoring another form of Goddess Lakshmi, and the Narasimha Temple, depicting Vishnu’s fierce man-lion incarnation. There‘s a parking fee of Rs.50 collected but no receipt given. No one to guide further, we had to go around the temple and find the parking lot at the back of the temple. 😒 At the entrance need to leave the footwear at the counter, was charged Rs.30 (no receipt given) At the entrance Guides can be availed ( Rs.500 - Receipt given), guides share history and details of the sculptures for 20-25 minutes. Can easily spend 1-2 hours admiring and taking pics. 😎 Theres a stepped pond and a book stall selling books of rhe history of Hoysala and temple in all languages. Best to visit either morning before sun goes up or after 4 pm as the stones gets heated up to walk Have a good time at the temple. Please keep it safe for generations to come 🙏

The temple is over 900 years old and the stone carvings are incredible - every wall has detailed sculptures that are hard to believe were made by hand. The architecture is beautiful and it's still an active temple. Very peaceful atmosphere. Takes about 1-2 hours to see everything. Remove footwear inside and dress modestly. A must-visit if you're in the area. Highly recommended!

Each idol is a work of art and it is difficult to fathom the depth and explanation without a good guide. Guide will explain the background, context, art, detailing and even the sound of various indian instruments by tapping on the columns. While planning a trip here, please understand that this temple can be accessed through two ways- First is the regular way to come to Vitthala temple parking and then proceed to temple by electric cart or by walking. By walking, you can explore the mantapas, temples and pushkarnis (ponds) on the way. Even some endemic plants, unique flowers and insects can be observed. Second way, a little adventurous and involving mild hiking is to come from Hampi Bazaar side, crossing Monolithic Nandi, Achutraya temple complex, Bazaar, taking right after pushkarni, from Varahaswamu gudi, lamp stand, kings balance and finally reaching Vitthala temple taking around 30-50 minutes depending on your fitness level. On the way, you can see Matunga hills on right and Tungabhadra river on left. Tickets for entrance are available at parking or also near the entry of Vitthala temple but mobile signals may be challenging here so keep small cash ready. Not much public amenities and if you plan to walk, especially in summer time, don't forget to keep water.

Some of the buildings are very huge and detailed like music pillars etc. There is a river backside of the huge place which is a must walk , it was so good due to monsoon end and water flow was more. Pick and drop from parking is chargeable via battery car for rs. 20 per head if you wish to take that which I'll recommend to take it - else you need to walk like 750 ms inside. The tall Gopura is amazing, and inside temple you can even see its shadow appear upside down on the temple wall — a must-see! You can also visit the small shrine of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari Devi (Karnataka Kuladevate) inside the temple. The whole place is very peaceful and clean. There’s a big pond outside the temple which adds to the beauty of the surroundings. You’ll also see many monkeys around, so keep an eye on your belongings. For a closer darshan, there is a ₹25 ticket that allows you to walk near the main god and have a blissful darshan of Lord Veerupaksha. Highly recommended and is definitely worth the visit.

The Temple complex is quite extensive, and it would take at least two hours to explore it fully. It's advisable to visit early in the morning as the site opens as early as 7AM.

Beautiful architecture that makes you so proud to know the legacy of this nation and is history. We took a female guide - Munira ( can't remember her name) who explained everything really well. The most amazing nugget is how everything has been carved from one rock. Even the ceilings have intricate and mesmerizing sculptures/carvings...all done with a simple hammer and chisel. It was humbling and a matter of pride. I do hope the government takes steps to both preserve the monuments and to get the world heritage tag. The surrounding area is peaceful. Just keep a lookout for the monkeys - they won't do anything unless you happen to have food packets with you. The guides will give you a full tour of all 4 caves. There's a fair bit of climbing and some of the steps near the 3rd cave are steep. But do try not to miss the 3rd cave as the carvings are utterly breathtaking

At the entrance, horse riders offered to take us to 10–12 points, but honestly, only 2–3 of them are major spots that you can easily walk to within 1–2 km. 6 kms valley having historic relation with mahabharat. Where it is believed Pandavas spent their exile here. Pandavas footprints, caves, devils kitchen is here many movie shots were taken here. It's long plateau. Asias 2nd highest Volcanic Plateau. U cannot walk full plateau there are horses and carts which costs around 1400 to roam everywhere and they explain you story. Best to visit during sunset 🌇

One of the best places to visit during the rainy season. Do not go for any guide or so just travel by urself they will only give information on which movie was shot where and which battle was fought and etc. If horse riding available go for it and bargain for it without fail, for 9 spots go for as low as 1200-1500. You will get some picturesque views if you travelling on low rainy days. Do not spend 20 rs on pandav caves, not worth it it's just a simple shiv bhagwan statue without any lights in cave. Note: from June horse riding is banned for three months due to the rainy season.

Absolute picturesque. It has 9 points to visit. Ghodawalas will approach you right outside, you can either take a horse or walk on your own. If you take a horse then try to bargain cause they charge 3600Rs which is super expensive and not justified at all. We bargained to get the horse at 1300 for 6 points and rest 3 points we walked.

Visited yesterday.This is one the best places in mahabaleshwar. Need to pay entry fees to start journey before this point. After this you need to pay 50/- for parking. Try to visit this place in evening to get a good view of sunset. You can take horse ride, boat ride, game shows, activity games and some tasty food items. Try to take horse ride with photoshoot. . Main market and mapro garden is near from this. Good place for spending time. Boating charge 600 for 4 person for 30min.

The lake itself looks nice from a distance, but it’s extremely crowded, especially on weekends. You often have to wait for hours just to get a boat ride, and the entrance area gets very chaotic. During the rainy season, the place becomes filthy and muddy, and the hygiene is below average. The nearby horse stand adds to the mess — the area is dirty and full of people constantly chasing you for rides. They charge around ₹200 for just 500 meters, which is absolutely not worth it. Parking is another headache — very congested and disorganized. Overall, this is just one of those places you visit once to tick it off your list, not for the experience itself.

It is one of the most scenic attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Beautiful lake surrounded by hills. Great for boat rides while watching the sunset. We went during May end , so the evening breeze by the lake was so soothing. Gets extremely crowded during peak tourist season. There are ample parking spots, but due to the rush of tourists, it is very difficult to find a parking spot nearby. I have seen families walk a considerable distance from their parking area to reach the lake. It all depends upon whether you get a parking or not , if you have a driver, they may drop you at a distance. Apart from this, the lake vicinity has different activities like boat riding , horse riding, etc, and way too many fast food joints selling all kinds of food and drinks. There are fruit vendors , toy vendors , and so many shop keepers all around. If you just want to sit by the lake and watch the sunset amidst all the cacophony , come a bit early and sit a little away from the main entrance point.

We went to Mahabaleshwar hoping to enjoy the rainy season. Packed all our rain gear, umbrellas, jackets, even plastic covers for bags. But as soon as we reached… the rain just disappeared! Not even a single drop! It was like the rain said, “Okay, my job is done. You guys take care now.” Instead, we were welcomed by thick clouds everywhere. Couldn’t see much ahead while driving – the fog was like “peekaboo!” every few minutes. But honestly, the cloudy weather made the whole place look magical. The valleys, trees, and hills covered in clouds looked straight out of a movie scene. We missed the rain, but the cool weather and peaceful vibes made up for it. Sitting on a hilltop with hot chai and roasted corn in that fog… pure bliss. It felt like the clouds came just to give us a cozy hug. So yeah, Mahabaleshwar didn’t give us rain, but it gave us something better — quiet, calm, and some unforgettable views. Highly recommend going there if you want a break from all the city noise. Just… don’t chase the rain. It’s faster than it looks!

Parsi Point offered stunning valley views that felt almost surreal, while Elephant Head Point stood out with its unique natural rock formation and scenic beauty. Each spot had its own charm and added a different flavor to the trip. Overall, this holiday was the perfect mix of nature, sightseeing, relaxation, and pleasant weather. Visit during monsoon. When we visited there were rains but not heavy downpours. It should be drizzling not heavy rains, if there is heavy rain then the entire place is covered in fog, it would be difficult to drive in the fog in the hill station and also some view points will be closed. Hotels, restaurants and taxi service , bus services are available within Mahabaleshwar and to reach as well multiple bus or cab services available. Weekends will be too crowded, There are 3 temples at the hill top and they are a must visit.

Sinhagad Fort turns absolutely magical during the monsoon. The entire trek is surrounded by lush green hills, misty clouds, and waterfalls along the way - it feels like walking through the clouds! The cool breeze, the smell of wet soil, and the panoramic views from the top make it an unforgettable experience. If you're trekking, start early in the morning to enjoy the foggy views and avoid crowds. Don't miss the famous kanda bhaji (onion fritters), pithla-bhakri, and chaas from the small stalls near the top - they taste heavenly after the climb! Parking can get a bit tricky on weekends, and it can get slippery in places, so wear good shoes. But overall, Sinhagad during monsoon is pure bliss - perfect for nature lovers, trekkers, and photographers.

Not steep or dangerous driving. Can visit even by 2 wheeler. Need to climb stairs aprox 200 after parking. Washrooms available at parking and at the top also. Nice views. There is lot of eateries for small snacks neare stairs and at the top. Small reasturants where you can enjoy home made lunch made by local people. Food Not too expensive. Enjoyable place. You can take your own food also. Better to carry water.

- I visited Sinhagad in November and it was really an awesome experience. - There are PMT buses after every 1 hour from Shaniwarwada to Sinhagad [convenient to take before 1pm]. - Two wheelers also available for a day to ride nearby area. - Make sure to meet the locals, eat the food on Sinhgad and feel the power of Maratha on fort. - Very beautifull and easy fort to climb and convenient for children also.

The surrounding scenery is quite captivating, and the climb (trek) time to the fort offers very beautiful views. Trekking is too here. Visiting during the monsoon is highly recommended as the area is lush green and the weather is pleasant, though it gets very crowded on weekends. At the fort gates, various food items are available, such as roasted corn (bhutta), Vada Pav, Kanda Bhaji (onion fritters), tea, and Maggi (noodles), which delicious. The sunrise and sunset views from the fort are quite spectacular. The cleanliness here is well-maintained, and washroom facilities are also available. Overall, the experience is full of natural beauty and the joy of a wonderful, captivating atmosphere.

Good trecking points are there. Apart from Nanaji statue and memorial, not much construction is there. Only the remnants of the exterior of the fort is available. But it is well maintained. Very good ethnic food varieties available inside, provided by locals, though slightly EXPENSIVE. Overall worth going.

Had a fabulous experience visiting the fort. Appreciate the Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj for his historical places among the Raigadh fort. About staying experience at private hotel was worse, the local people have made rooms on their roof and charging with very heavy cost so better to plan like that u can reach at early morning and go by night. For a ticket I started waiting in s queue in the early morning at 5am and the counter opened at 7pm so there is no arrangements for seating or coupons systems. Online tickets are consumed very fast so difficult to get it. Government must give more focus on improvement.

The best way to travel from Mangaon to Raigad Fort is by road, either by taxi/car or a combination of bus and auto-rickshaw. The fort's base village is Pachad. By Taxi or Car (Recommended for speed and convenience) The distance is short, making this the fastest option. Distance: Approximately 28-29 km. Travel Time: Around 30 minutes by car/taxi. Directions: From Mangaon, get onto the NH 66 (Mumbai-Goa Highway). Take Gharoshi Road to Pachad Road/Wakan - Pali - Khopoli Rd. Follow Raigad Road to the base of the fort (Pachad village). Details: Taxis are readily available from Mangaon town or the Mangaon Railway Station. You can also drive your own car, and ample parking is available at the base of the fort. By Public Transport (Bus and Auto-rickshaw) This is a more economical option. Bus to Mahad: Take a Maharashtra State Transport (ST) bus from Mangaon ST Bus Depot towards Mahad. Buses run frequently. I had wanted to visit Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir for a long time, and finally got the chance. Even though it was Diwali, the crowd was well-managed, and devotees were able to move around comfortably thanks to the efficient security personnel. One small improvement could be providing a tap or facility to wash hands, as we place our chappals on the stand with bare hands. Overall, the temple is well-organized, spiritually uplifting, and a must-visit for anyone coming to Pune.

The idol is majestic, with a traditional Puneri crown that’s instantly recognizable. The temple interiors are adorned with chandeliers, and despite the crowd, the pandits are calm, making the darshan peaceful. The lane is extremely congested, one-way, and located in a busy market area. You won’t find parking nearby. It’s best to park your vehicle 500 meters to 1 km away and take a rickshaw to the temple. • You can choose a fast-track darshan pass for around ₹100 to directly go for darshan. There is also a regular darshan queue behind the temple where you can go without a pass. • Photography is not allowed inside the temple. If you wish to take pictures, you must visit the temple office and get proper permission first. • There is a shoe rack facility available where you can safely keep your footwear and get a token. Overall, a wonderful and peaceful darshan experience. Just be mindful about the approach road and parking, and everything else will be absolutely blissful. 🙏 Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra) श्री महागणपती मंदिर, रांजणगाव I recently had the divine opportunity to visit Shree Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon – one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.

It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

Tiger Point in Lonavala is a calm and peaceful spot, perfect for spending some relaxing time. The view is truly enjoyable, especially when it’s cloudy or raining. On a sunny day, it might feel a bit uncomfortable due to the heat and sweat, but otherwise it’s a great experience. There is ample parking space available, and plenty of local shops around offering tea, coffee, maggi, fruits, and other snacks. A nice place to stop by if you’re visiting Lonavala.

Absolutely ridiculous experience. You have to climb all the way up from Lonavla city just to see this view. The view is lovely but not as worth it to come. This place must be crowded in the monsoons due to waterfalls but I think it would not be great to visit in monsoons as well. I did not get why this is called as the lions point. Seriously! The worst part is that the staff took ₹50/- for parking. We just stayed for around 5 min but still. They should keep a time limit of the parking of vehicles. Had a wonderful visit to Lion’s Point & Tiger’s Point, Lonavala. The rainy weather added a magical touch to the surroundings—misty hills, cool breeze, and lush greenery all around. The environment was extremely pleasing and refreshing, making it a perfect monsoon getaway. Highly recommended for nature lovers and photographers!

Both Lion and Tiger points view are really too good and names are due shape of mountains resemble animal in valley. But the view point is little dirty and area is fenced. Just 5 minit is enough to see. May be more attractive in early mornings.

Karla Caves is a nice place to visit if you are in Lonavala. We went on a weekend, so finding parking was a bit tricky. From the halfway parking lot, we had to climb around 200 steps a little tiring with bags on our shoulder but totally doable ( beginner level). The caves are really beautiful and the view from the top is just amazing. Overall, it was a very good experience

We stayed overnight near Karla Caves and visited early the next morning, 9 o’clock is opening time — the perfect way to enjoy this ancient site without the usual crowd. The short trek to the caves is easy, around 350 stone steps surrounded by lush green hills and fresh morning air. At the top, the magnificent Chaitya Hall welcomes you — one of the largest and most impressive rock-cut prayer halls in India, dating back to the 2nd century BCE. The wooden arch inside, still intact after centuries, adds a rare charm to the stone-carved space. As sunlight filters through the arched entrance, it creates a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. Don’t miss exploring the darker corners of the pillars — if you look closely, you’ll notice faint traces of ancient paintings hidden in the shadows, telling silent stories of the past. Karla Caves are not just about history; they offer a quiet connection with nature and art. Visiting early morning is highly recommended to experience the calm and detail of this heritage site before the tourist rush begins. Karla Caves, about 11 km from Lonavala, are ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BCE. The highlight is the Grand Chaitya Hall, one of India’s largest and best-preserved prayer halls, with a massive stupa, wooden ribbed ceiling, and beautifully carved pillars. Next to the caves stands the Ekvira Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ekvira. The temple remains active and attracts many devotees, especially during Navratri. Perched on a hill with scenic views, the site blends ancient Buddhist heritage and Temple.

It was a nice place, but have to keep in mind that you will have to climb a lot of stairs to get there(around 10 floors) But the view along the trail is very beautiful. I would say that the view and the walk along tht trail up the hill is better than the caves😅

The caves were really nice! We visited the first floor, which was great. The area on the right-hand side was restricted due to heavy leakage. The main attraction, located just behind the Ekvira Temple, is peaceful and definitely worth a visit. Entry fees 25 for indians.

An amazing historical site showcasing the efforts and craftsmanship of the people that lived in the past thousands of years ago, even without the technological advantages that we enjoy right now. A must visit. I still am reducing one star, because the place is not very well maintained and you can find areas vandalized by people writing their own names on the rocks or littered areas with rubbish, which honestly should be shameful for the people managing the place and even more shameful for the idiots who did the vandalizing. And next to it is also a temple with the exact same path which worsens matters a lot more related to managing the crowds and people. A site with such historical significance should be handled and preserved better.

Monsoon beauty in Western Ghat, particularly in Malshej, is unbeatable. Clouds, fog, rain, and waterfalls, everything is endlessly. The Govt of Maharashtra provides good parking spaces and beautify water sources and waterfall areas so visitors can enjoy maximum. Hot Maggi, tea, and corn will add cherry on the ice.

This place should be on must visit list in monsoon if you are exploring western ghats. Going here is easy, as for most of the part road conditions are very good. You can come by car, 2 wheeler etc. In ghat section roads are narrow so expect some traffic during monsoon season. Also there is possibility of land slide etc. There are multiple waterfall points in the ghat area where government has build staircase , protective structures to access it easily. Make sure while you park your vehicle, you are not blocking on going traffic. I have seen people doing it. Be a responsible citizen. Same thing go for plastic and other garbage. In monsoon and winter expect lot of foggy weather which limits visibility so be careful. Most of the people I see go till ghat and return if they are coming from pune-nashik highway. I would highly recommend to go down till ghat ends, you will see amazing views.

What a place friends, it is heaven, I went there recently and enjoyed it a lot, I will say one thing that don't go from the check post before the ghat, go through the village, it is a great village, it is off-road but it is a lot of fun, it is 5km It falls far away it was a lot of fun

One of the coolest and awesome place in Maharashtra, this place have very scenic and beautiful view. But this place is very dangerous and thrilling too, it have accident prone area and one must be cautious world travelling at this place. In rainy season its completely covered in dense fog. Also there lots of waterfalls nearby this area and somewhere in mid of Highway waterfalls directly from the mountains on road.

Regarding stay there is Sai Udyan trust is available where they will give one doremetry bed and one locker for 15 rupees per day. If you are comfortable in this type stay you can go there, its clean and well maintained.

Shirdi Sai baba temple is a blissful and peaceful devotional place wherein the devotees with FAITH (Shraddha) in their heart get their wishes fulfilled. The temple premises is clean and well maintained. The prasadalay is also well maintained and you’re served food as much as you can eat. You’re not allowed waste any food. This rule should be applied everywhere so that people don’t water food. There is saying in Marathi - “Anna he purna Brahma”.

There are many gates to enter the temple but if you want to have a free darshan then enter from gate no. 7. The charge for VIP darshan is 200 rupees. You have to deposit your mobile in the clock room where the charge is 5 rupees per phone. You get darshan in 30 minutes. The management is very good, there is a provision to sit in the line inside and there is also a washroom and there is also a provision for many fan coller..

Hatsoff to the management. They have dedicated staff for handling lockers where devotees can keep their valuables as mobile and gadgets are not allowed inside the mandir.premises. We had experienced such a wonderful view of baba not once but twice.. want to visit again. Jai ho!!!

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a peaceful and divine place to visit. Near Gate 6, you’ll find mobile lockers available for just Rs 5 per phone, along with free shoe stands. For free darshan, head to Gate 7, which you can reach from Dwarkamai Temple, if Dwarkamai is in front of you, go left and take the first right. You’ll pass the mobile lockers first, and then Gate 7 is right there. On weekends, the wait time for free darshan is usually around 3 hours, and the entire process can take 3-4 hours. We also visited once on a Monday morning around 6 AM, and it only took about 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete Darshan. If you prefer paid darshan, you can either book online in advance or book near temple, enter through Gate 6 when you arrive. Wait time is much lesser than free Darshan but it'll still take almost 2 if crowded. Inside the temple, there is usually some waiting time before darshan, so visitors are asked to sit in waiting halls. Opposite these halls, there’s a counter where you can get free unlimited tea and biscuits. They also sell chips and water at prices much lower than market rate. After darshan, don’t forget to pick up your free food coupons next to the neem tree. Near the exit, you will also receive packets of prasad and vibhooti. Additionally, there’s a laddu counter near the lendi garden entry, opposite the neem tree, where you can get the famous Shirdi laddu.
