Nice place for a short family outing. Tourism department has built a watch tower and view point. There is a children's play area as well. Premises needs some maintenance - weed clearing and cleaning. They have now blocked access to the river, which is a good thing. Kodandarama temple is also well maintained and worth a visit. Note to Visitors - don't throw trash here. Take it back to your homes and dispose it properly.

If you want to hear the roar of mother Kaveri , this is the right place for it! You can hear the waterfalls from a good distance. I would highly recommend coming here during peak monsoon to witness the Kaveri in her utmost beauty! Situated right above the banks is Shri Rama devasthana , just beside the road from where you will be seeing the falls. The temple is well maintained! There is a decent amount of parking available but not manned or paid. On the opposite side there is a GIL Hydel powerplant. During the weekend this place gets very high footfall so for a peaceful experience, weekdays would be the best option. Behind the temple is a Hanuman statue and a small park. Nobody is allowed to go towards the river due to heavy water flow. Roadside food stalls available. You get various Chaat items. I would highly recommend you to try out the Sugarcane juice there! Overall a very excellent location, just that the crowd is high(thanks to the weekend) and with it brings littering.

Falls was at full glory in the month of July. Thanks to the Rain gods. Please follow the instructions set up local authorities and it’s dangerous to approach the falls to get a closer view. It has a great view from the tower, where the falls can be seen at a vantage point. Place has sufficient free parking and area is maintenance is great. There is a fun park for children to play too, that’s a welcome move. There isn’t any decent eatery/hotel for lunch/snack. All you will find is the freshly made churmuri/ puffed rice / Mysore pak and other condiments by local sellers at a very nominal price. IMO, It’s best to take Holenarasipura route to reach this spot than Mysore route.

Unlike many popular waterfalls, Chunchunkatte is relatively less crowded. This makes it ideal for those looking to avoid the hustle and bustle. There’s also a small but beautiful temple right next to the falls. The temple, dedicated to Lord Kodandarama, adds a spiritual charm to the visit. The story of Lord Rama’s visit here, as per local legends, adds cultural depth. Photography lovers will find countless spots for nature and landscape shots. You can climb down closer to the rocks for better views, but do so cautiously. The area can get slippery, especially after rain—wear good footwear. There are very limited food options nearby, so it’s best to carry your own snacks. Drinking water and basic necessities should also be brought along. Parking is available, though not very organized or marked clearly. The road leading to the falls is narrow and patchy in places, but manageable. People are generally friendly and happy to guide tourists. Morning visits are highly recommended for the best light and serenity. If you’re lucky, you might spot some birds and butterflies around the area. The breeze here is refreshing and carries the scent of the nearby forest. There’s something incredibly meditative about sitting and watching the falls. It’s a great spot for family picnics, though supervision is important for kids. No entry ticket is required as of now, which is a plus. Cleanliness is decent, but visitors should help keep it that way. Plastic and littering are discouraged, and rightly so. This place is a wonderful reminder of nature’s unspoiled beauty. I would recommend carrying a camera, towel, and a small mat for sitting. If you’re spiritual, don’t miss attending a pooja at the temple if it’s happening. There’s a calm energy here that’s hard to put into words. Ideal for nature lovers, spiritual seekers, or anyone needing a break from city life. You won’t find loud tourists or commercial activities here—just peace. Do note: there are no changing rooms or major restrooms nearby. Best to plan your visit between July and January for peak flow. Even during summer, the falls don’t dry up completely, which is rare. It’s an offbeat destination that deserves more recognition. We spent about 2–3 hours here and it was truly time well spent. I’d gladly visit again—next time with a picnic basket and a book! The place is quite beautiful. The waterfall is pretty loud when you’re on the outside but as soon as you enter the temple the noise is just cancelled. Lots of monkeys around, they tend to snatch stuff from your hand.

My visit here was truly a highlight of exploring the city. The temple is a revered Shakti Peetha, deeply rooted in mythology as the place where Goddess Chamundeshwari (a fierce form of Shakti) slew the demon king Mahishasura, from whom the name 'Mysuru' is derived. Dating back to the 12th century, the temple’s current magnificence is largely due to the patronage of the Wodeyar royal family, who adopted the Goddess as their tutelary deity. The temple is a stellar example of Dravidian architecture, instantly recognizable by its towering, seven-tiered Gopuram (entrance tower), which is adorned with intricate carvings and topped with seven golden Kalashas. The silver-plated entrance doors and the peaceful atmosphere inside the Navaranga Hall truly convey a sense of ancient, royal devotion. The location itself, nearly 3,500 feet above sea level, is captivating. The drive up the hill is scenic, and the summit offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city of Mysuru. From the viewpoint, you can clearly see landmarks like the Mysore Palace and Karanji Lake. For those interested in a spiritual and physical challenge, the climb up the 1,008 steps is highly recommended, as is stopping to admire the colossal monolithic Nandi statue—Lord Shiva's mount—situated halfway up the hill. As the temple attracts devotees globally, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends and during the auspicious Ashada Shukravara (Fridays in Ashada month) and the spectacular Dasara festival. To ensure a smoother darshan, I highly recommend purchasing the Special Entry Ticket (₹100) or the VIP Darshan Ticket (₹300) to bypass the longer general queue. Public transport via KSRTC buses is frequent, and ample (paid) parking is available. Remember to follow the modest dress code and note that the hill area is strictly a No Plastic Zone.

Visited the Chamundeshwari Temple on Nov 1st during Rajyotsava— the darshan itself was truly divine and powerful, you can really feel the energy of the goddess. However, the overall experience was quite stressful. The temple gets extremely crowded, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Even with a VIP pass, we had to wait for hours in the queue. Entry tickets cost ₹30 for general darshan and ₹100 for special darshan, but everything is cash only. Crowd management was poor, with no separate lines for senior citizens, families with small kids, or differently-abled devotees. It was hard to stand for long, and the pushing made it uncomfortable. The staff were not very polite, and there was a lot of confusion inside. Parking was also badly managed, adding to the frustration.Govt really need to improve crowd management and cleanliness of Chamundi devi temple. On the positive side, the temple’s divine atmosphere, architecture, and the powerful darshan of Chamundeshwari Devi make it worth visiting at least once. The authorities just need to improve arrangements so devotees can experience peace along with devotion.

Chamundi Temple is a beautiful and divine place in Mysuru, built during the reign of the Mysore Wadiyar kings. It is believed that Goddess Chamundeshwari killed the demon Mahishasura here, which is how Mysuru got its name. The temple’s 1,008 stone steps and the massive Nandi statue carved from a single rock reflect its glorious history. They also serve delicious prasada at specific timings (as captured in the picture). Temple is good it is on the chamundi hill, here you can see devi chamundi statue inside the temple by puchasing the ticket (general ticket- 30 Rupess, VIP Datshan- 100 Rupess) per person. You can visit nandi statue which is nearby to the temple nearly 300 steps down. You can have a picture with most famous Mahisasura statue. Near the mahisasura statue only you can get the bus also to enter in the city again. Don't forget to take picture here from the hill top from where you can see the whoe Mysore city.

I visited this palace when during my childhood, and it looks as stunning as it is even today as well. The painting and drawings on the walls are so beautiful and real that it gives a lifelong memories. Must visit if you want to let your child understand the history from closer lense.

Palace is absolutely beautiful! It closes at 5:30 PM, so it’s better to visit inside during the day. But if you really want to see the best part, come back in the evening. After 7 PM, the whole palace lights up and it looks magical! The lighting is so nice and gives a completely different vibe. Definitely worth experiencing if you’re in Mysore.

Brindavana Gardens ಬೃಂದಾವನ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ What a beautiful place with lushy greenary, beautiful flowers, well maintained pathways, water fountains. If you ever visit mysore you must visit Brindavana Gardens, and make your day happy. Ticket price is one hundred rupees only per person, and transportation for this is kind of moderately expensive, there are buses but they only reach to Brindavana gardens circle only, from that we have to take auto. Drinking Water and washrooms are kept for visitors convenience.

It is a very pretty garden. There are fountains, front and centre. It has a lot of beautiful arches covered with vines. A wide variety of flora and fauna can be seen over here. It is extremely colourful through and through. It is an aesthetic garden, a perfect place to click pictures.

Brindavan garden is huge big and people need to get ticket for one person 100₹,evening and early morning is best time for less crowd on weekdays and carry water.Need to walk for 1-2 hours to cover all the garden. Toilets are not maintained and smells.Need to pay for using toilet. Light show is after 6pm. During afternoon it will be sunny and difficult to walk.Cleanliness is less,many plastic waste around.no proper security for maintaining and checking these things. Beautiful place and good for photography but management has to take care properly.

visited Mysuru Zoo and really enjoyed the experience. I got to see the tiger, hippo, leopard, cheetah and giraffe, which was the highlight of my visit. All the animals looked healthy and active. The zoo is clean, well maintained and has lots of trees, so walking around felt relaxing. There are benches and water points along the way, which was helpful. The information boards near the animals were also easy to understand. It's a great place to visit with family and kids. Overall, I had a very good time at Mysuru Zoo and would definitely recommend it. Note: eat well before you enter

An absolute wow! Probably the best zoo in the whole country. All the animals are given plenty of space to wander around. So many species of animals, birds... And they even got some rare species, like white peacock, bengal tiger, black swan, etc. The zoo is veryyyy big, so u can easily spend ur whole afternoon here. They have clean restrooms, places for seating everywhere, and that too in a reasonable ticketprice... They also apply stickers on the plastic items u carry inside, in order to ensure no spoiling. Overall, loved it ✨

Mysore zoo has always been great. It is one of the best zoo in the country. It is quite large with a lot of collection of different animals. Although zoo is not the right way to see animals where they are kept in captivity, Mysore zoo has kept the animals enclosures as close to their natural habitat environment as possible. The design of the animal enclosures are quite good and no compromise on the space. The animals also appear well fed and healthy. The zoo is almost always crowded. The zoo is quite large and the entire walk around the zoo is more than 2.6 km. But battery operated carts are available for the elderly and those in need. Plastic is not permitted inside the zoo. They collect ₹10 in case you are taking any plastic inside the zoo. This is refunded if you show the same when you come out of the zoo. There are lots of trash cans inside. Adequate toilets are also available inside. The full trip to the zoo could take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on how fast one can walk. There is a lake with boating facility adjacent to the zoo. If one wishes, a combined ticket to the zoo and lake can be purchased.

One of the well maintained and the biggest zoo in South India. All the animals and birds looks active, if you visit in the morning soon after the opening time. You can see lots of big trees and resting seats all over the zoo. Trees are properly maintained. Animals are fed on time. We happened to see some doctors checking up with the animal caretakers. The entire zoo holds around 3km of area, so you will be burning up your calories for sure. A must visit place in mysore, if you have kids. Also, you can book your tickets through scanning the QR code shown before the ticket counter. So, the payment can be done through UPI without any hassles. You need not stand in the que for tickets. This is very much appreciative.

Mysore Zoo is beautifully maintained and easily one of the best zoos in India. The variety of animals is impressive lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and many rare birds. The enclosures are spacious, and the greenery inside makes walking around very pleasant. You can choose how you want to explore: take the battery operated bogey ride if you want to cover the zoo quickly, or walk if you’d like to really see and experience everything at your own pace. Walking gives you the full feel of the place, but the ride is a good option if you’re short on time or with small kids. Weekdays or mornings are the best time to avoid heavy crowds. Overall, a must visit in Mysore for families, kids, or anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife.

Amazing food and such a good ambience.. Friendly front office staff gave us some good guidance on shopping.. The rooms are so well maintained.. I have given 4 stars because the lock of some rooms were not working despite repeated requests and that took a little of our time.. We were a group of 15 people and we really enjoyed their swimming pool and amazing breakfast with very good coffee.. located in the center of the city it is very easily accessible to a lot of other food joints.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The property was very comfortable, spacious, and more than enough in every way. The staff were extremely well trained, attentive, and made the experience seamless. The swimming pool was spotless and comfortable, adding to the relaxing environment. The highlight for me was the larger-than-life breakfast – everything was delicious, with fresh pooris, dosas, and omelettes served hot at the table on request. One small detail that stood out was the service — when I requested a blanket, it arrived within a minute. God speed to such efficiency! If I had to make just one suggestion, it would be to have a clearer board/signage on the main road to make the hotel easier to locate. Beyond that, everything was perfect. Overall, this property offers great value, and I would love to stay again — at this hotel or any property from the same group.

This hotel delivered one of the worst services I have ever experienced, with Manager Mr. Ashok being the primary reason—his repeated false promises and deliberate misinformation make it clear this establishment is unfit to host any corporate event. His unprofessional behavior and dishonesty do not just reflect poor management but actively damage the hotel’s credibility. It is unacceptable for a managerial representative to mislead guests so blatantly, and I strongly warn other organizations against considering this venue for professional gatherings. The lack of accountability and basic hospitality standards is appalling.

Visited this place to attend a naming ceremony, it is just opposite to the Mysore bus stop. Very very convenient for someone who takes bus. Party hall is spacious, food was very good. Loved the over all vibe of the place. Recommend for any gatherings there

We enjoyed our stay for four nights 24th to 28th July 25. Centrally located and easily accessible to all important tourist places. Neat and clean room and Well behaved staff. Good customer care and service.Buffet breakfast is included in the tariff and excellent. Restaurants and room service are very good. Standing before this 12th-century Hoysala masterpiece, I felt like I was walking inside a living scripture. Every inch of this temple carved from soapstone carries a story… scenes from the Ramayana, Lord Vishnu’s divine forms, dancers, warriors, celestial beings — all frozen in time yet so alive to the heart. It’s humbling to think that centuries ago, in golden evenings lit by countless diyas and moonlight, this temple must have shimmered like a dream. I could almost imagine the hymns in the air, the fragrance of incense, and devotees circling the temple with faith as unshakeable as the stone beneath their feet. If only stones could speak. What moved me even more is its resilience. Despite invasions and destruction over hundreds of years, this sacred site still stands tall — strong, intricate, proud… as though protecting every story it ever held. Shri Chennakeshava Swamy Temple is about an hour’s scooter ride from Mysore, and the journey itself is beautiful, passing through the South Indian countryside. This 13th-century UNESCO temple isn’t very large, but it’s definitely worth a visit. You can easily spend around an hour exploring the carvings and atmosphere, and the entry fee is only about 3 USD (parking not included). It was calm and quiet when I went (especially during the monsoon season), which made it a perfect place for silence, reflection, and of course some beautiful photos. You can hire a guide if you’d like, but with a bit of AI assistance for dates and background info, I felt I got along just fine — and honestly, how many numbers and years do we really remember? If you do decide on a guide, read up beforehand about realistic fees and tipping. I’d recommend planning half a day: visit the temple, enjoy the peaceful vibe, and maybe tie it in with a short tour around the surrounding area. A wonderful spot for both culture and calm. This is a well maintained government heritage. Fantastic depiction of India cultural history . If you been to places like Belur , Halebidu you will enjoy visiting this place . Visiting this over weekdays , possibly in the afternoon or evening time would be peaceful . Shooting videos is not allowed inside the temple while you allowed to take photos!

There is nothing like this place. It’s a historical spiritual temple that makes you forget everything and the statue just grabs your attention. If you are physically fit it will take you around 25 mins to climb the mountain but the view, energy and every step was so worth it. I hope I come here again and again. If you have some one who can’t climb the mountain you can ask for doli at main office. The dharshan is worth it.

Visited Barachukki Falls 💦 over the weekend and had a really nice experience! ☀️ Though the sun was shining bright on top of our heads, the view of the falls was totally worth it — such a stunning sight! 🌈 The safety measures were good, and everything was quite well-managed despite the weekend crowd. 👏 There’s free parking 🅿️, and plenty of food stalls 🍢🥤 to grab a quick bite or drink. You’ll also find lots of monkeys 🐒, so keep your snacks safe! 😅 Horse rides 🐎 are available, adding a bit of fun for kids and families. Plus, there’s an instant photography option 📸 where you can get your pictures printed on the spot — a great souvenir to take home! It was a bit crowded since we visited on a weekend, but overall it’s a beautiful and refreshing spot 💧 to relax and enjoy nature with family and friends. 🌿✨

It's a very quiet and calm place to visit with family and friends and enjoy the day. Best time to visit during October to December. During rainy season also it will be good but when it's too much rainy can't enjoy as expected. At the main entry they collect entry charge for vehicle and at the entry of falls again they collect entry charges of 10 each per head. They are just collecting the entry fees but not improved the place. At the main entry they have mentioned as plastic free zone and near the falls area they have given permission to stalls where we can find Plastics dumped everywhere. No cleanliness maintained near falls. Also people and tourists who visit here are careless and dump and throw plastic where all they find place. Stalls should be evacuated from the falls area and keep the area neat and clean. Some higher officials with police protection and security visit the place and are least bothered about the surrounding nature and just get their family selfie and photos and just get out from their. If they show some interest and advice the personnel there to keep the surroundings clean then it would be more beautiful to visit the falls area.

I have visited Barachukki falls on Sunday, 3rd Aug’25. It was an amazing experience. The waterfall massive, magnificent and spectacular. It is located around 125kms from Bangalore and it takes around 2.5 hours to reach there. Place is usually much crowded on weekends and on public holiday. Best time to visit: July to September (based on monsoon season). Morning hours preferred so that place is not fully crowded. Tickets are available at front gate. Paid car parking space is available nearby.

Great falls to visit on a weekday with no crowds, due extended monsoons the falls are full even at the end of Oct. Has good parking and some what clean wash paid rooms. Good views from the lower view point requiring few steps. One can spend about 30 min to enjoy the falls and take some pictures. Closer to the main gate behind the Darga, there are Gaganchukki falls view from a different, parking is available but there is no good view point as the place is barricaded with steel mesh. The road after turning from NH 948 is pot holed at many places. The stone pillars old bridge is an ancient engineering work, stop here for few minutes to enjoy the architecture of the bridge built on stone columns. Cauvery Water flowing on rock beds here is a very beautiful sight to watch for long.

Bharachukki Waterfalls – A Breathtaking but Adventurous Experience 🌊🌿 We visited Bharachukki Waterfalls recently, and it was an unforgettable experience! Located near Shivanasamudra (around 130 km from Bengaluru), this place is perfect for a short road trip surrounded by greenery, small villages, and scenic countryside views. The drive itself feels refreshing, but the real magic begins once you reach the falls. The waterfall is massive and mesmerizing, with water gushing down rocky cliffs into a wide pool below. The mist, the roar of the falls, and the cool breeze create an incredibly peaceful and energizing vibe — truly nature at its best. You also get some great viewpoints for photography and relaxation. We decided to go closer to the falls, and honestly, that turned into a mini adventure! We went through a jungle trail to reach the water — it was thrilling but also quite risky, especially during summer when the rocks are dry, uneven, and slippery. It’s definitely not recommended unless you’re experienced and careful. Still, that close view of the powerful cascade was absolutely worth it! During monsoon, the waterfall is even more spectacular — full flow, mist everywhere, and a magical atmosphere. However, parking and crowd management could be better, especially on weekends, so visiting early morning or on a weekday is ideal for a peaceful experience. Overall, Bharachukki Falls is a must-visit if you love nature, road trips, and scenic beauty — just respect the terrain, stay safe, and let the waterfall do its magic. 💧✨

Shivanasamudra Waterfalls – Gagana Chukki & Bhara Chukki Shivanasamudra is truly a gem of Karnataka, consisting of two majestic waterfalls – Gagana Chukki and Bhara Chukki. Though both are part of the same Kaveri river, the viewpoints are about 15 km apart, each offering a unique perspective of nature’s beauty. I recently visited and was amazed by the breathtaking views. The drive from Mysore is around 85 km, making it a perfect day trip. Weekends can get crowded, but the sight of the cascading water is absolutely worth it. ✅ Free parking available ✅ Plenty of local snack shops around the viewpoints ✅ Scenic drive and photo-worthy spots If you’re planning a visit, I’d recommend going early in the day to avoid heavy crowds and to enjoy the serenity of the waterfalls. A must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers alike!

Overall a nice experience. It's a day trip as this place is quite far off from the Bangalore main city. The ticket price has reimbursement via Wine Tour and Tastings! They could have allowed us more time in the Vineyards to explore the grapes. Overall nice experience! The guided tour costs 600 per head.

Good place for a day outing about 80 Kms frm bangalore (HSR Layout). Cover charge now increased to 800/ person from earlier Rs. 600/ person. Note that this can be set off against purchases made / services taken ( wine tour , wine tasting). Good selection of wine (red & white) including their upmarket ranges - Source & Rasa which otherwise is not usually found in shops in Bnglr. The winetasting & tour guide Tanish was very courteous & helpful apart from being knowledgable about most things to do with wine. We tasted about 6 different wine varieties, 2 sparkling, 2 red & 2 whites be prepared for a slightly warm weather at chanapatna as compared to Bamgalore. Given the long weekend, we didnt face much of traffic heading out or returning to bangalore. Food was ok & given the price charges nothing much to talk about... we ordered the nachos, pasta, few indian dishes... paid close to 3k for 4 pax.

A decent experience with brief tour on wine making process and vineyards. Best time to visit is before March as per the crew, as harvest time was complete before we visited and not much grapes were in the vineyards. Explanation and wine tasting were good. Many places for photoshoot. They have grape stomping as well. Overall, a half day experience with fun away from the daily chores. Not much offers (except nominal discounts in bulk purchase) on their wines. It could be improved with more interactive and entertaining tour and tasting.

Good place if you are a wine 🍷 lover and want to drive down to outskirts for a change. Ambience - Good for a day outing, has ample parking space. Paid Wine tour, wine shop and other souvenirs sold at their store. Good place to just relax take some funky pictures and enjoy the silence. Service - Is good, kept place clean and green 💚. Kitchen - While you need to try 🍷 and 🧀 here there are other options of multi cuisine food also served. Place is a little over priced but for a day to just beat the monotony good place to relax and have some decent food and drinks.

It was very interesting and enjoyable to learn how wine is made. This is a small vineyard though but it was pretty. The wine tasting was great and there's a gift shop too. The restaurant inside is very bad though, the food tasted like nothing, there were many houseflies and when asked to clean they did the bare minimum and just shrugged their shoulders. So overall if you visit here just buy a bottle of wine from their shop and go somewhere else to dine, this place isn't worth it that way. I am reducing 2 stars just for the worst dining experience I've ever had

The vineyard is quite small, so there isn’t much to explore. It’s fine to stop by if it’s along your route, but not really worth a full-day visit. There’s not much to do, and while the weekday entry fee is reasonable, weekends feel overpriced. Food is also on the expensive side, and the vineyard tour requires an additional payment (though part of it is adjusted against the entry pass).

We booked tickets for Domaine Sula Vineyard at ₹600 each. ₹200 covered the vineyard and factory tour, and ₹400 was for optional wine tasting, which could also be redeemed for food or wine. The tour lasted around 15-20 minutes, and the guide explained everything well. However, we were disappointed to find out that there were no grapes in the vineyard since all the grapes had already been harvested. It was quite a letdown. We felt they should have clearly mentioned the grape season on their website or while booking, so visitors would know what to expect. During the tour, the guide explained the process of how the grapes are grown and harvested over the months. The wine tasting session was good— we tasted six different wines, and the guide explained their taste, smell, and ingredients. This helped us choose which wine to purchase. Overall, it was an average experience. If we had known about the grape season and the overall experience beforehand, we wouldn’t have travelled over 100 km just for this.

It is very ancient Temple the architecture is good. Deity Krishna in the form of crawling child covered with butter is quite impressive look with divinity. Very pleasant environment. Married couples seeking child should visit this Temple.

Sponsors may be approached to print krishna and Perumal at reasonable price. The GOVT may consider this proposal.

Very good place to spend a day's time with your team. You have to trek for 20 mins to reach the camp once vehicle is parked in the nearby village. The camp organizes a few team building activities and adventure activities like rope walking, kayaking and boating in manchanbele dam. But the fun part is that you are allowed to swim in the waters with a life jacket. They also serve decent Breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee snacks.

The main attraction of this place is water. been there for one day outing. Food is not at all good. But you will enjoy the day. Also location is beautiful 😍 .Rest room is too far and why there is no mirror?

Water sports activities are good but they have less boats now available and out of all boats few are not in good working condition, food was ok keeping in mind that place is far from normal living area, rappling was good, rope activities are also ok, staffs are polite, this place is mostly for adventure loving people rather than relax,dance,games(cricket, volleyball,paintball,etc) loving people. No paintball, and mud driving.

Nice place for team outing. Best part was swimming and kayaking in river. Other than that rope activities and team building activities were good. Food was ok. Avallaki in breakfast was smelly. Had to throw it as it is. Sambhar vada and idli was good. Reached there by private bus which we booked for our team. Bus was parked at some 1.5kms away from destination. Had to track to location from there. Since its an adventure camping zone so don't expect any air conditioning room or place to rest. Your whole day is going to be tiring. We started from Bangalore at 8 and reached there by 10.30. Evening we left at 5.30 and reached back by 8.30.

A beautiful place to get away from the city and camp under the stars. The host and their staff did a great job of ensuring we had a good time. The food was amazing! They have a selection of activities to keep you occupied. Overall a good experience.

If you want only back water swimming and boating experience then this the best place. Life Saver Jackets are of good quality. Food is okay okay.

If your are ready for a 1km hike before you get to the place, then this place is for you. XtremeZone is not all that "Xtreme". The food was horrible. A local villager we talked to said that they prepare meals in a very unhygienic manner. The staff was somewhat helpful. The owners have no regards for customers though. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only plus point is the long drive.

One of the best amusement parks in the country. Some rides are really high on thrill and adrenaline rush, especially their roller coaster- recoil, the twister, maverik etc. You must not miss the newly added adventure ride- Interstellar which is an experience in itself. The giant wheel at the 13th floor gives the best view of the park and the city. The waterpark isn’t great but has some good water slides and rides you can try. For extra fun you can try the rain dance shows, & especially the wave pool with the dj is so much fun. The best part is they hae made a division in the pool with 2 sides, one for family, couple, women; and other for only men. The crew keeps a check that everyone follows the rules properly and behaves. Some things to keep in mind. Some rides can have queues in rush time, but its doable; as the fastrack tickets are double the cost and not worth it as you can still do all rides without it, just make sure you reach before noon and are there till atleast 6pm. Noone specifically checked the costume for waterpark, but carry appropriate material clothes to enjoy the most, or you’ll have t o buy them at 350 bucks. The locker costs 350 rs, with an additional 50 bucks of the magnetic key watch band. There are multiple food joints and options to eat from. You’ll also find souvenir shops. Wait till post the sunset to see the beauty of the park in lights. You can take certain buses plying to and back from the park to city. Overall its a great experience and a must go to atleast once if you are adventurous soul.

Check offers before Booking! This place is really good for a day outing, don't start from the first ride, watch YouTube videos to see which one you don't wanna miss and be in queue for those in the start. First of all reach the place by 10 am to be aware of what to do, and how to go ahead. Normal queue Wait time is 30-70 minutes on each ride after 11:30. So decide wisely don't waste your time on not so worthy rides. We included three meals, it was a good decision so we didn't waste time deciding, what to eat. My recommendations at least include noon meal, so you can enjoy it and during the evening it will be your wish for what you wanna eat after rides. Take the longest hours, it's hardly the matter of 100-200/- rs but then after dinner also you may be able to do some fun rides if not water rides. Take the locker in advance or one of you may end up just looking after your stuff. Wear water rides approved clothing from the start , so you don't waste time changing clothes again and again. Wear rubber slippers/ crocs, it's easy for you to move around.

I recently went to Wonderla Bengaluru, and honestly, it was an amazing experience! One of the best amusement parks I’ve ever been to. The place is super clean, well maintained, and packed with rides that’ll give you both adrenaline rush and pure fun. The new Mission Interstellar ride totally blew my mind! It’s India’s first space themed ride and the huge screen makes you feel like you’re actually floating in space definitely a must-try. Apart from that, the high thrill rides like Recoil were just insane. The water park section was also great the slides, the wave pool, the lazy river everything was just perfect for cooling off and chilling. The staff were polite and helpful throughout the day, and the locker and changing facilities were neat and clean. This was my 3rd visit but first time with family and kids. Beautiful park, everyone should visit for fun. Weather was supportive so you could enjoy water games. There's new addition to the park - Mission Interstellar. It was mind blowing. Never experienced before. For all games there's 25% of people with Fast track priority passes are sent in. With Halloween passes, all land games can be played even between 7 pm to 10 pm while games for regular passes are closed by 6 pm. Park timings on weekends is 11 am to 7 pm. Everything is fine except Food. Its totally SCAM. If you buy buffet online vs offline, the prices are different. If you buy Buffet lunch at entrance is 419 while online and inside its 500+. Any food like Fried rice or Noodles with non/veg manchurian and large coke combination is 410/- when you can buy Buffet for same price. The quality of food is pathetic. After spending good time, we felt disappointed with food quality with menu options and with exorbitant prices. I have provided same feedback to ground staff to improve food. Hence reduced the overall ratings.

Nice Place for a Short Trek and Peaceful Vibes Shivagange is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a short trip from Bangalore. It’s about 50 km away and perfect for a one-day outing. The place has a mix of nature, trekking, and spiritual feel. The trek is around 3 to 4 km uphill. Some parts are steep and narrow, but there are railings to help. It’s better to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowd. Make sure to carry water, wear good shoes, and be ready for some climbing. On the way up, you’ll see a few small temples and a big Nandi statue. The temple at the top is peaceful, and the view is really beautiful. I visit 21-07-25 Very Beautiful beginners trekking spot close to Bangalore. From Bangalore it's a half day adventure trip. Good to go during weekdays since there will be crowd which is safe. Else go in large groups. During weekdays carry food and water.and valakallu teertha is amezing moment.

We visited Shivagange in the early morning, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. As we started our trek just before sunrise, the cool breeze and peaceful surroundings set the perfect mood. The silence of the morning,made the whole atmosphere feel calm and spiritual. Overall, it was a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and spirituality. Visiting early in the morning is highly recommended if you want to beat the heat, avoid crowds, and enjoy the serene beauty of the place at its best.

Had a wonderful trek to Shivagange! The trail offers a mix of steps and rocky paths with beautiful views along the way. It’s best to start early morning around 6 AM to enjoy the sunrise and cool weather, as it gets quite crowded once the sun is up. You’ll see many monkeys on the way, so keep your food and water bottles safe. The monkeys are playful but can grab things quickly. At the top, the view is rewarding, but water and snacks are quite expensive, so it’s better to carry your own water to save money. Overall, it’s a moderate trek, with some steep climbs near the top, but manageable with short breaks. The vibe is peaceful in the morning, and the breeze at the peak makes it worth the effort. Highly recommended for a day trek near Bangalore if you love adventure and sunrise views!

Nice place to visit. It is a place where you can feel the eternal peace. I visited during 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. and saw lighting, alongwith water sprayers. There is a small children park for sliding, swinging. You can sit, have snacks, can do shopping of Sri Sri branded products, and buy ayurvedic medicines with nadi pariksha. 3 to 4 hours is sufficient time to spend if you are going with with family.

I'm from Vietnam and I came here for the Silence Program. I had a great experience here. The environment is clean, the air is fresh, the people are friendly, the vibration is peaceful... The Ashram is very contrast with the outside world.

HAPPINESS IS FREE. This is a factual review of my experience. First, I was treated with utmost love and respect and kindness by almost every staff member I met here (especially the ones serving the food!). The grounds are pretty, there is a large building being built and the traffic is not *too* loud. I was told I could stay in the accommodations for free and try a course, so I went to speak at the reception (I was also interested in volunteering). I had to fill out several forms and when I was done, I was informed the "Happiness course" was $440 USD. In the USA, that is a lot of money. In India, you could feed a family for a year. It's just a touristy cult/scam that I wouldn't ever return to or recommend to anyone.

A Great Day Out, But With Key Areas for Improvement ​Bannerghatta Biological Park offers a genuinely wonderful experience for wildlife lovers, making it a fantastic destination for a day trip. The park is vast, and many of the naturalized habitats for the local species are impressive and well-maintained. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, contributing to an overall positive atmosphere. ​However, a couple of significant issues prevented me from rating this as a perfect five-star experience. ​Firstly, I was disappointed that some of the highly anticipated major animals, notably the Lion and the Orangutan, were either absent or could not be found in their areas during our visit. This was a notable letdown for key species that many visitors hope to see. ​More importantly, I observed certain welfare concerns that I hope the park management addresses. Several animals appeared to be kept alone or with a very limited number of mates, which seemed sparse given their social nature. In a few cases, the enclosures seemed smaller than ideal, and I witnessed some animals exhibiting repetitive, stereotypic behaviors (pacing back and forth). This gave the distinct impression that they might be bored, stressed, or depressed due to the lack of space or social stimulation. Ensuring that all animals have adequate companionship and spacious, enriching enclosures is crucial for a park of this stature. ​Despite these issues, the overall variety of species and the natural beauty of the environment are undeniable. If the park could improve its exhibit list consistency and significantly upgrade the size and social conditions of the enclosures I mentioned, it would easily earn five stars.

Last week, I visited the Biological Zoo with my family. It was a very exciting and memorable trip. We saw many animals like lions, tigers, elephants, deer, giraffes and colorful birds. The best part of our visit was the safari. It was really thrilling to see the wild animals moving freely in the open area. We saw lions and tigers very closely from the safari bus and it felt like a real jungle adventure. The zoo was clean and well maintained. The staff guided us properly and we enjoyed taking many photos and videos together. It was a fun and educational experience for the whole family. I would love to visit again, especially for the safari ride.

Visited Bannerghatta Biological Park in the morning, parking available for bikes (paid). The entry area has small local shops selling snacks, water, sugarcane juice, and fruits depending on the season. Took the safari bus after a long queue , it’s a unique experience being inside a cage while animals roam free outside! However, seats with caged windows make photography difficult, and animal sightings depend on luck. After the safari, visited the Butterfly Garden (fewer butterflies than expected) and had lunch at the canteen , limited food options. The zoo area is like any other, with various animals in enclosures. Overall, it’s a nice day trip to see wildlife closely. Appreciate the government’s efforts in forest and animal conservation.

I recently visited Bannerghatta National Park, and honestly, it felt a bit overhyped. From the photos and reviews, I expected a proper wildlife experience, but in reality, it was more like an average zoo with a bus ride added in. We booked the safari bus since jeeps weren’t available, and that was fine — but the safari itself was quite disappointing. The entire 20–30 minute ride had barely 4–5 types of animals — deer, elephants, leopards, lions, and a small bear. It didn’t feel like we were in a natural habitat at all. The zones were just large fenced areas with a few animals each. For example, you start with deer and elephants, then after passing a gate you reach the leopard zone, where maybe 3–4 leopards can be seen resting near shelters. Same goes for lions and bears. It honestly felt like a zoo with a bus tour instead of walking. After the safari, we went to the zoo area, which was okay but again nothing great. There were only one or two animals of each species — a single giraffe, one tiger, one lion, etc. Variety was there, but it didn’t feel lively or well-maintained. The butterfly park was the best part of the entire visit. The entry fee was ₹50 per person, and it was worth it. The dome area filled with butterflies and greenery looked beautiful and peaceful — definitely the highlight of the day. Overall, Bannerghatta National Park is good for a one-time visit or a short family outing near Bangalore, but if you’re expecting a real safari or wildlife experience, you’ll probably be disappointed.

A Calming Green Oasis in Bengaluru Lalbagh Botanical Garden offers a decent escape from the city hustle. I had an "OK" experience, largely thanks to the wonderfully calm and fresh environment. If you're looking for a spot with natural bird sounds to truly cool down and relax your mind, this place is highly recommended. It's a true "lung space" for Bengaluru. A major plus was the e-cycle ride, which is a fantastic way to cover the vast garden expanse. The rental seemed to have a flexible pricing, as I saw options for a short ride. I did a ride. We also caught the artificial waterfall near the lake, which operates on a fixed schedule. We saw it running from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM. It adds a nice, serene touch to the lake area when it's on. My one major feeling was a slight lack of a "zoo" or large animal presence (apart from birds), which I missed—it felt more like a purely botanical experience rather than a nature park with diverse wildlife. However, for a botanical garden, all the basic amenities and facilities are well-maintained. Conclusion ; If you are in Bengaluru, it's definitely worth a visit for a peaceful, nature-filled break and a lovely walk or cycle ride.

It was a beautiful experience. The day was 🌞 I went with my family to explore the beauty of this huge botanical garden that has flora species dating back to hundreds of years ago. Enchanting. ❤️😇 We took the ride for 45 mins which is charged ₹100 per person. The guide thoroughly took us to different locations of the botanical garden taking small stops at specific points. Overall it was a nice experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the place. Recommended to family and friends. ✨

One of the prettiest garden I have ever visited. So beautiful, peaceful and huge. Our first option was Cubbon Park due to its ratings but when I visited this instead, I was glad. It was a truly mesmerising day when I decided to visit the ISKCON temple over the weekend. As I approached the temple, I could feel the spiritual energy enveloping the atmosphere, despite the crowd of devotees that had gathered. The intricate architecture of the white temple stood out beautifully against the blue sky, and the sounds of chanting filled the air, creating a serene yet lively ambience. Inside, the aroma of fresh flowers and incense wafted through the halls, enhancing the sacred experience. People of all ages were engaged in prayer and meditation, their faces reflecting a deep sense of peace and devotion. I found solace in the rhythmic chants and the uplifting energy that pervaded the space. The sense of community among the visitors was palpable, and I felt connected to something much larger than myself. Nice place to worship Lord Krishna. Very well connected with metro and Bengaluru buses. In temple, darshan facilities, food & water facilities are good. Overall very good arrangements,cleanliness and nice experience. Only thing is no special feeling. It's like visiting any other temple. Maybe because temple is surrounded by big buildings; so not giving that divine vibes where we tries to connect with God with peace.

If you're driving a four wheeler then parking charges of 40 rupees collected. Everything is maintained near and clean. An artificial waterfall and a lake add more charm to this place. This place is getting upgraded with more infrastructure as the construction is going on as well.

Visvesvaraya Industrial park is an awesome place to visit for kids and adults.. There was not much rush as we entered the park,however as time passed on kids from different schools poured in.. The joy you get while doing the experiments is priceless.. All have explanations written beneath it.. The 3D jungle show is also good.. There is a cafeteria and restroom.. This place is situated near Nandi Hills. Great location and sceneries are really beautiful. We can do wine tasting here. If they have a system to check whether you are over 21+ for wine testing, it would have been a smooth process. Plan your visit during grapes season to see the grapes. Otherwise they will not allow. If you ask me the cost is more for just seeing the winery process. It is not a big area they are covering.

I always had in mind to visit the vineyard and finally got the chance in Bangalore... It was a great experience, got to know so many things about wine.. How it's made, how to choose as well as enjoy having it... Sonali was our tour guide for the day, she explained everything so well and we really enjoyed the tour. Wine tasting was fantastic where I get to taste 6 varities.. We had our lunch there, mini pizza platter and prawns, delicious fresh food.. Bought some amazing wines too.. Wanted to visit the grape fields as well but couldn't as this isn't the season for it.. May be next for time..

Grover Zampa offers a diverse range of wines, each with its unique flavor profile. The sommeliers were knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enriching. Restaurant is good and food is tasty. One thing which I observed is the lady brought plates on the table was doing cleaning and moping some time back at same place.

I was amazed to see the grandeur of 600 years old Ghati Subrahmanya Swami temple. While temple staff were very courteous, the hall staff where Sankalp Puja performed were very rude and pushed senior citizens and ladies. That spoiled the pleasant mood. The country building is in dilapidated condition and closed which can be restarted with its shops to increase the income of the temple. In and around the temple needs from cleaning & scavenging. Overall it was very good experience especially to see the stone idols of snakes offered by childless couples whose wish to get a child fulfilled and in gratitude they offered the statues. Thousands of such snake statues confirms the belief.

An historical temple also still functional. Beautiful architecture is an understatement. A must visit place when you are visiting Nandhi hills. They do allow marriage ceremony to take place in the temple premises. Most of the structure are getting damaged due to lack of proper security and government negligence I hope they will do something to maintain this beautiful temple.

Had a great morning trekking experience. Quite moderate trek, it was around 4 1/2 kilometres the only problem was the forest department before the beginning of the trek takes too much time to complete the documentation because of which we missed the sunrise.

Skandagiri trucking was very good which was organized by namma trip. Reached the base at 4am and started the truck at 4:30 am and Reached the peak at 6:05 am. Definitely wroth it. Truck lead Puneet & amit thank you so much.

Nice trekking experience. Difficulty is more than moderate. 4 and half km. Some of the place were we should claim 3 to 4feet and water fall routes. So don't go at raining season. Hill top gives u good experience. Safety is your hand, no water, no food, no current, Raw mountain. Sunrise time is good to trek.

Booking & Entry The hike falls under the Karnataka Forest Department, so you’ll need to book your tickets in advance on the Aranya Vihara website. The site is user-friendly and can be easily switched to English. Tickets are ₹250 per person on weekdays and ₹500 on weekends. We chose to hike on 19th June Thursday. Timing :What You Need to Know One thing to keep in mind—the website and even the helpline 1926 will tell you that the hike starts at 6:00 AM. However, when we arrived at the base and spoke to the forest officer, we learned that the hike actually begins at 4:00 AM, especially for those aiming to catch the sunrise. Skandagiri is all about that magical sunrise moment, so if you want to witness the hilltop bathed in the first light, plan to start your trek at 4:00 AM. The forest officials will let you in early for this reason. The Trail: Nature’s Playground From the get-go, the trail is a steady, sometimes steep, ascent through rocky terrain and forested patches. What made our monsoon hike truly unforgettable was the abundance of Blue Tiger butterflies. June is their nesting season, and the forest was alive with hundreds of these beautiful creatures fluttering around us. It felt surreal—like stepping into a different world. If you pause for a moment, you’ll see them hanging from branches and then taking flight at the slightest movement. This was easily the highlight of the trail for me. Hiking Tips Carry enough bottled water, sunglasses, and a cap. Good grip hiking shoes are a must—there are sandy and slippery sections where you can easily lose your footing. A light jacket is recommended for the summit; the winds are strong, and you might feel a chill, especially with the cloud cover and occasional raindrops. Trekking poles are a great help, especially for beginners or those with knee issues. Summit Experience We started our hike at 6:00 AM and reached the summit by 8:00 AM, taking our time to enjoy the butterflies and the scenery. The top was shrouded in thick clouds, with fierce winds making it feel wild and exhilarating. As the clouds cleared, the view was breathtaking—lush greenery, sparkling lakes, and the landscape stretching as far as the eye could see. Parking & Logistics There’s proper parking available right opposite the temple at the base—₹30 for bikes, ₹50 for cars, and ₹100 for vans. The whole hike took us about 3.5 hours, including a half-hour break at the summit, but it can take up to 4 hours depending on your pace. The descent is just as steep as the climb, so take it slow and steady; it took us about 1 hour and 15 minutes to come down. Skandagiri is a must-do for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature, especially during the monsoon when the butterflies are out in full force. The combination of a challenging hike, magical sunrise, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings makes it an experience you won’t forget.

If you're planning to go, here are a few crucial things to keep in mind: - Book your ticket in advance from the official portal before heading there. - No entry without a ticket – they strictly won’t allow you in, no matter what you say. - Carry all your food in reusable containers – plastic is completely banned. - Bring your own water bottle (avoid single-use plastic bottles). - Only 150 people are allowed per day, so plan ahead. - The climb is steep – if you have any knee or leg issues, consider this carefully. - Trek timings are from 6 AM to 11 AM – be on time! - weekend cost ₹ 500 and weekday ₹ 250 It’s a beautiful and rewarding trek if you're well-prepared!

Parking is available for both cars and bikes 🚗🛵 so no tension there. Just note, pets not allowed on the trek 🚫🐶.
