Amazing food and such a good ambience.. Friendly front office staff gave us some good guidance on shopping.. The rooms are so well maintained.. I have given 4 stars because the lock of some rooms were not working despite repeated requests and that took a little of our time.. We were a group of 15 people and we really enjoyed their swimming pool and amazing breakfast with very good coffee.. located in the center of the city it is very easily accessible to a lot of other food joints.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The property was very comfortable, spacious, and more than enough in every way. The staff were extremely well trained, attentive, and made the experience seamless. The swimming pool was spotless and comfortable, adding to the relaxing environment. The highlight for me was the larger-than-life breakfast – everything was delicious, with fresh pooris, dosas, and omelettes served hot at the table on request. One small detail that stood out was the service — when I requested a blanket, it arrived within a minute. God speed to such efficiency! If I had to make just one suggestion, it would be to have a clearer board/signage on the main road to make the hotel easier to locate. Beyond that, everything was perfect. Overall, this property offers great value, and I would love to stay again — at this hotel or any property from the same group.

This hotel delivered one of the worst services I have ever experienced, with Manager Mr. Ashok being the primary reason—his repeated false promises and deliberate misinformation make it clear this establishment is unfit to host any corporate event. His unprofessional behavior and dishonesty do not just reflect poor management but actively damage the hotel’s credibility. It is unacceptable for a managerial representative to mislead guests so blatantly, and I strongly warn other organizations against considering this venue for professional gatherings. The lack of accountability and basic hospitality standards is appalling.

Visited this place to attend a naming ceremony, it is just opposite to the Mysore bus stop. Very very convenient for someone who takes bus. Party hall is spacious, food was very good. Loved the over all vibe of the place. Recommend for any gatherings there

I visited this palace when during my childhood, and it looks as stunning as it is even today as well. The painting and drawings on the walls are so beautiful and real that it gives a lifelong memories. Must visit if you want to let your child understand the history from closer lense.

Palace is absolutely beautiful! It closes at 5:30 PM, so it’s better to visit inside during the day. But if you really want to see the best part, come back in the evening. After 7 PM, the whole palace lights up and it looks magical! The lighting is so nice and gives a completely different vibe. Definitely worth experiencing if you’re in Mysore.

The nightlight show is fantastic and worth staying for.The place can get crowded, especially on holidays, but the management handles it well. Parking is available nearby. Highly recommend visiting early morning or evening for the best experience.

However, it tends to get extremely crowded, especially on weekends, so visiting on weekdays is a better idea. The premises are fairly neat, but cleanliness could definitely be improved. The free audio guide centre was not functional during my visit — it should really be made operational to enhance the visitor experience.

Timing- 10:00 AM to 05:30 PM Place to explore- silver chair, old mirror, king and his family paintings, symmetrical poles, good roof top view, laxminarayan temple, Silk saree etc. Note- you will have to walk inside the palace by submitting your shoes or slippers into the shoes submitting area.

visited Mysuru Zoo and really enjoyed the experience. I got to see the tiger, hippo, leopard, cheetah and giraffe, which was the highlight of my visit. All the animals looked healthy and active. The zoo is clean, well maintained and has lots of trees, so walking around felt relaxing. There are benches and water points along the way, which was helpful. The information boards near the animals were also easy to understand. It's a great place to visit with family and kids. Overall, I had a very good time at Mysuru Zoo and would definitely recommend it. Note: eat well before you enter

An absolute wow! Probably the best zoo in the whole country. All the animals are given plenty of space to wander around. So many species of animals, birds... And they even got some rare species, like white peacock, bengal tiger, black swan, etc. The zoo is veryyyy big, so u can easily spend ur whole afternoon here. They have clean restrooms, places for seating everywhere, and that too in a reasonable ticketprice... They also apply stickers on the plastic items u carry inside, in order to ensure no spoiling. Overall, loved it ✨

Mysore zoo has always been great. It is one of the best zoo in the country. It is quite large with a lot of collection of different animals. Although zoo is not the right way to see animals where they are kept in captivity, Mysore zoo has kept the animals enclosures as close to their natural habitat environment as possible. The design of the animal enclosures are quite good and no compromise on the space. The animals also appear well fed and healthy. The zoo is almost always crowded. The zoo is quite large and the entire walk around the zoo is more than 2.6 km. But battery operated carts are available for the elderly and those in need. Plastic is not permitted inside the zoo. They collect ₹10 in case you are taking any plastic inside the zoo. This is refunded if you show the same when you come out of the zoo. There are lots of trash cans inside. Adequate toilets are also available inside. The full trip to the zoo could take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on how fast one can walk. There is a lake with boating facility adjacent to the zoo. If one wishes, a combined ticket to the zoo and lake can be purchased.

One of the well maintained and the biggest zoo in South India. All the animals and birds looks active, if you visit in the morning soon after the opening time. You can see lots of big trees and resting seats all over the zoo. Trees are properly maintained. Animals are fed on time. We happened to see some doctors checking up with the animal caretakers. The entire zoo holds around 3km of area, so you will be burning up your calories for sure. A must visit place in mysore, if you have kids. Also, you can book your tickets through scanning the QR code shown before the ticket counter. So, the payment can be done through UPI without any hassles. You need not stand in the que for tickets. This is very much appreciative.

Dating back to the 12th century, the temple’s current magnificence is largely due to the patronage of the Wodeyar royal family, who adopted the Goddess as their tutelary deity. The temple is a stellar example of Dravidian architecture, instantly recognizable by its towering, seven-tiered Gopuram (entrance tower), which is adorned with intricate carvings and topped with seven golden Kalashas. The silver-plated entrance doors and the peaceful atmosphere inside the Navaranga Hall truly convey a sense of ancient, royal devotion. The location itself, nearly 3,500 feet above sea level, is captivating. The drive up the hill is scenic, and the summit offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city of Mysuru. From the viewpoint, you can clearly see landmarks like the Mysore Palace and Karanji Lake. For those interested in a spiritual and physical challenge, the climb up the 1,008 steps is highly recommended, as is stopping to admire the colossal monolithic Nandi statue—Lord Shiva's mount—situated halfway up the hill. As the temple attracts devotees globally, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends and during the auspicious Ashada Shukravara (Fridays in Ashada month) and the spectacular Dasara festival. To ensure a smoother darshan, I highly recommend purchasing the Special Entry Ticket (₹100) or the VIP Darshan Ticket (₹300) to bypass the longer general queue. Public transport via KSRTC buses is frequent, and ample (paid) parking is available. Remember to follow the modest dress code and note that the hill area is strictly a No Plastic Zone.

Visited the Chamundeshwari Temple on Nov 1st during Rajyotsava— the darshan itself was truly divine and powerful, you can really feel the energy of the goddess. However, the overall experience was quite stressful. The temple gets extremely crowded, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Even with a VIP pass, we had to wait for hours in the queue. Entry tickets cost ₹30 for general darshan and ₹100 for special darshan, but everything is cash only. Crowd management was poor, with no separate lines for senior citizens, families with small kids, or differently-abled devotees. It was hard to stand for long, and the pushing made it uncomfortable. The staff were not very polite, and there was a lot of confusion inside. Parking was also badly managed, adding to the frustration.Govt really need to improve crowd management and cleanliness of Chamundi devi temple. On the positive side, the temple’s divine atmosphere, architecture, and the powerful darshan of Chamundeshwari Devi make it worth visiting at least once. The authorities just need to improve arrangements so devotees can experience peace along with devotion.

Chamundi Temple is a beautiful and divine place in Mysuru, built during the reign of the Mysore Wadiyar kings. It is believed that Goddess Chamundeshwari killed the demon Mahishasura here, which is how Mysuru got its name. Temple is good it is on the chamundi hill, here you can see devi chamundi statue inside the temple by puchasing the ticket (general ticket- 30 Rupess, VIP Datshan- 100 Rupess) per person. You can visit nandi statue which is nearby to the temple nearly 300 steps down. You can have a picture with most famous Mahisasura statue. Near the mahisasura statue only you can get the bus also to enter in the city again. Don't forget to take picture here from the hill top from where you can see the whoe Mysore city.

Standing before this 12th-century Hoysala masterpiece, I felt like I was walking inside a living scripture. Every inch of this temple carved from soapstone carries a story… scenes from the Ramayana, Lord Vishnu’s divine forms, dancers, warriors, celestial beings — all frozen in time yet so alive to the heart. It’s humbling to think that centuries ago, in golden evenings lit by countless diyas and moonlight, this temple must have shimmered like a dream. I could almost imagine the hymns in the air, the fragrance of incense, and devotees circling the temple with faith as unshakeable as the stone beneath their feet. If only stones could speak. What moved me even more is its resilience. Shri Chennakeshava Swamy Temple is about an hour’s scooter ride from Mysore, and the journey itself is beautiful, passing through the South Indian countryside. This 13th-century UNESCO temple isn’t very large, but it’s definitely worth a visit. You can easily spend around an hour exploring the carvings and atmosphere, and the entry fee is only about 3 USD (parking not included). It was calm and quiet when I went (especially during the monsoon season), which made it a perfect place for silence, reflection, and of course some beautiful photos. You can hire a guide if you’d like, but with a bit of AI assistance for dates and background info, I felt I got along just fine — and honestly, how many numbers and years do we really remember? If you do decide on a guide, read up beforehand about realistic fees and tipping. I’d recommend planning half a day: visit the temple, enjoy the peaceful vibe, and maybe tie it in with a short tour around the surrounding area. A wonderful spot for both culture and calm. The Chennakesava Temple, also referred to as Chennakeshava Temple and Keshava Temple, is a Vaishnava Hindu temple on the banks of River Kaveri at Somanathapura, Mysuru, Karnataka, India.The temple was consecrated in 1258 CE by Somanatha Dandanayaka, a general of the Hoysala King Narasimha III. This is a well maintained government heritage. Fantastic depiction of India cultural history . If you been to places like Belur , Halebidu you will enjoy visiting this place . Visiting this over weekdays , possibly in the afternoon or evening time would be peaceful . Shooting videos is not allowed inside the temple while you allowed to take photos!

Beautiful waterfalls during the monsoon. It has a very spectacular view. Parking is available near the waterfalls. Roads are good till we reach the destination.

i. Shivanasamudra Falls is a scenic beauty of silvery water of Kaveri river, dropping into the ravines, from the hills tops, near Malavalli, a sugarcane town. ii. Directions: 133 kms from Bengaluru and 78 kms from Mysore, on the state highway, Maddur - Kollegala Road. iii. Plenty of seating place at different levels, socialise and photograph. iv. Closeby restaurant, souvenirs shopping available.

Breathtakingly beautiful. It takes you a while to get there but it's so worth it. I went on Independence day so there was a lot of crowd there so I would suggest going during offseason to peacefully listen to gushing sound of the falls. The viewing area is vast and there is enough space to accommodate a lot of people, you just have to be careful of the crowds there. Plenty of roadside food options too. Definitely worth a trip.

It's a beautiful place it visit specially during monsoon season when the water is released from KRS dam. The beauty of this place can't be expressed in words you need to come n experience by yourself. The flow of water from the rocks is just like milk flowing through it, that's the beauty of this place. I suggest this place for a one day trip. Though the government is taking entry fees the road to such beautiful place is in worst condition from many years, since many people visit this place they should develop proper road to here.

One of the best One day trip place to visit if you are in Bangalore. July to August perfect time to catch hold of Cauvery water falling from the hill rocks. Roads are very nice, it takes approximately 2.5 hours from Bangalore. If someone starts at 6am. Breakfast can be planned on Kanakapura road side restaurants and easily by 9am you will reach the spot. Going early avoid entry and exit traffic at the spot. Big land with Ample parking available near the falls, don't go crossing the parking ground since it's dead end it will be difficult to get U turn done, only bike parking can be done there. Govt has constructed the view points in 3 to 4 spots in a step wise manner for us to view the falls from different angles. Suggest to take umbrella since this is raining season. You get snacks and juice there. Mobile signal is weak here, UPI payment can be difficult better to carry cash.

Journey was so beautiful with hill n palm tress view. Destination is blessed with Beautiful waterfalls with two sides – Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. Best in monsoon when the flow is huge.Last but not least don't forget to for Kaveri river baoting.Nice spot for a quick trip from Bangalore/Mysore. Gets crowded on weekends, but worth it for the view!

I visited in the second week of July, and it was truly great to witness the waterfall in full flow. There is ample parking available, which is very convenient. Please note that you cannot go close to the waterfall or touch the water for safety reasons. This is a must-visit place for a one-day trip from Bangalore.

Visited Barachukki Falls 💦 over the weekend and had a really nice experience! ☀️ Though the sun was shining bright on top of our heads, the view of the falls was totally worth it — such a stunning sight! 🌈 The safety measures were good, and everything was quite well-managed despite the weekend crowd. 👏 There’s free parking 🅿️, and plenty of food stalls 🍢🥤 to grab a quick bite or drink. You’ll also find lots of monkeys 🐒, so keep your snacks safe! 😅 Horse rides 🐎 are available, adding a bit of fun for kids and families. Plus, there’s an instant photography option 📸 where you can get your pictures printed on the spot — a great souvenir to take home! It was a bit crowded since we visited on a weekend, but overall it’s a beautiful and refreshing spot 💧 to relax and enjoy nature with family and friends. 🌿✨

During rainy season also it will be good but when it's too much rainy can't enjoy as expected. At the main entry they collect entry charge for vehicle and at the entry of falls again they collect entry charges of 10 each per head. They are just collecting the entry fees but not improved the place. At the main entry they have mentioned as plastic free zone and near the falls area they have given permission to stalls where we can find Plastics dumped everywhere. No cleanliness maintained near falls. Also people and tourists who visit here are careless and dump and throw plastic where all they find place. Stalls should be evacuated from the falls area and keep the area neat and clean. Some higher officials with police protection and security visit the place and are least bothered about the surrounding nature and just get their family selfie and photos and just get out from their. If they show some interest and advice the personnel there to keep the surroundings clean then it would be more beautiful to visit the falls area.

I have visited Barachukki falls on Sunday, 3rd Aug’25. It was an amazing experience. The waterfall massive, magnificent and spectacular. It is located around 125kms from Bangalore and it takes around 2.5 hours to reach there. Place is usually much crowded on weekends and on public holiday. Best time to visit: July to September (based on monsoon season). Morning hours preferred so that place is not fully crowded. Tickets are available at front gate. Paid car parking space is available nearby.

Great falls to visit on a weekday with no crowds, due extended monsoons the falls are full even at the end of Oct. Has good parking and some what clean wash paid rooms. Good views from the lower view point requiring few steps. One can spend about 30 min to enjoy the falls and take some pictures. Closer to the main gate behind the Darga, there are Gaganchukki falls view from a different, parking is available but there is no good view point as the place is barricaded with steel mesh. The road after turning from NH 948 is pot holed at many places. The stone pillars old bridge is an ancient engineering work, stop here for few minutes to enjoy the architecture of the bridge built on stone columns. Cauvery Water flowing on rock beds here is a very beautiful sight to watch for long.

Bharachukki Waterfalls – A Breathtaking but Adventurous Experience 🌊🌿 We visited Bharachukki Waterfalls recently, and it was an unforgettable experience! Located near Shivanasamudra (around 130 km from Bengaluru), this place is perfect for a short road trip surrounded by greenery, small villages, and scenic countryside views. The drive itself feels refreshing, but the real magic begins once you reach the falls. The waterfall is massive and mesmerizing, with water gushing down rocky cliffs into a wide pool below. The mist, the roar of the falls, and the cool breeze create an incredibly peaceful and energizing vibe — truly nature at its best. You also get some great viewpoints for photography and relaxation. We decided to go closer to the falls, and honestly, that turned into a mini adventure! We went through a jungle trail to reach the water — it was thrilling but also quite risky, especially during summer when the rocks are dry, uneven, and slippery. It’s definitely not recommended unless you’re experienced and careful. Still, that close view of the powerful cascade was absolutely worth it! During monsoon, the waterfall is even more spectacular — full flow, mist everywhere, and a magical atmosphere. However, parking and crowd management could be better, especially on weekends, so visiting early morning or on a weekday is ideal for a peaceful experience. Overall, Bharachukki Falls is a must-visit if you love nature, road trips, and scenic beauty — just respect the terrain, stay safe, and let the waterfall do its magic. 💧✨

Shivanasamudra Waterfalls – Gagana Chukki & Bhara Chukki Shivanasamudra is truly a gem of Karnataka, consisting of two majestic waterfalls – Gagana Chukki and Bhara Chukki. Though both are part of the same Kaveri river, the viewpoints are about 15 km apart, each offering a unique perspective of nature’s beauty. I recently visited and was amazed by the breathtaking views. The drive from Mysore is around 85 km, making it a perfect day trip. A beautiful wildlife sanctuary with rich biodiversity and serene landscapes. The safari is well-managed, giving a good chance to spot elephants, deer, bison, peacocks, and if lucky, the majestic tiger or leopard. The forest feels untouched and peaceful. A must-visit for nature and wildlife lovers seeking an authentic jungle experience. However, you have to wait for getting tickets as there is only one window and there is always crowd.

Bandipur Tiger Reserve forest is a lush green thick forest shutter to numerous number of birds and animals. This road leads to Ooty, Tamil Nadu. This natural forest is a treat to watch. WE spotted lot of Deers. If you are lucky you can see Elephants, Peacocks, Tigers also. This forest is a land of lot of tigers. If you want a rich wild life experience Bandipur Tiger Reserve is a perfect getaway. Monsoon Season will be the best time to visit.

Pls pick camper or gypsy don't go for bus safari , they won't take you many places , the moment the bus starts from ticker counter that timings starts which does not make any sense , from ticket counter to safari road it will take 30 mins , so in ( Bus safari )90 mins 30 mins is wasted , better choose to camper or gypsy , mainly to spot tiger you need a sheer luck but however even they wont put any efforts on that.

Better you buy tickets online so you will have separate counter for buying tickets even if you buy online you need to get that from counter with vehicle number and seat number try to reach there 35-40 minutes before

Thiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar Temple is an incredibly peaceful and spiritually powerful place. The architecture is magnificent, especially the tall gopurams and detailed carvings. The entire temple complex is spacious and well-organized, with good crowd management even on weekends. The darshan feels very divine, and the pradakshina path around the temple is calming. The temple is clean, and facilities like drinking water and resting areas are maintained well. Best to visit early morning or evening for a more peaceful experience. A truly sacred and must-visit temple. Divine time to visit is during full moon days and suggested to visit early morning. Be carefull of your belongings and pickpockets. Enough restaurants, drinking water, wahsroom facilities are available throuvh out Girivalam path. Auto facility available for Girivalam.

The Arunachaleshwarar Temple, one of the Pancha Bhoota Lingas, represents the element of fire (Agni). Temple is an incredibly peaceful and spiritually powerful place. Guidelines for pradakshina and also important temples to visit on the way and around Arunachala hill. There are asta linga (Yama, Varuna, Vayu, Kubera, Eeshanya, Nairuthi, Agneya, and Agni) temples one should not miss while doing the pradakshina. A must visit place for all who believe in God. For Girivalam path, Auto facility available for Girivalam. The architecture is magnificent, especially the tall gopurams and detailed carvings. Very peaceful and divine place. Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai is truly powerful — Lord Shiva’s presence can be felt everywhere. The temple is well maintained, clean, and beautifully built. The Girivalam (Giripradakshina) around the holy Arunachala hill is around 14 km — a wonderful spiritual walk filled with devotion and positive energy. Best time is early morning or full moon days. Arunachaleshwara Temple has impressive scale and architecture, spiritual significance as one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalam (Agni or fire), and the importance of the Girivalam (circumambulation of the Annamalai hill). It has a powerful, spiritual atmosphere, noting that the temple can be very crowded, especially during festivals or special events like Karthigai Deepam or full moon days., but also that early morning visits offer a more serene experience. Commonly mentioned engineering marvels of the temple, such as the massive stone construction and the mysterious shadow of the vimana and the spiritual energy of the place. You can pre-book just before 2-3 hours for darshan and can be booked both online and offline to avoid the long queues for darshan. Puja items are sold around the temple area.

Visited on week end. Too much crowded. Took around 5 hours to take the darshan. Finding car parking was difficult. Finally could able to park with the help of a auto drive around 800 meters away from Raja gopuram basically it's one of the entrance. Parking fee was Rs 80. I am not sure if this parking was really run by temple authority because it dint look so. Better to take Rs 50 entrance ticket to save some time. I was not aware that there is such facility. After the darshan we can buy sweet pongal and pulihogre for Rs. 10 each. Temple also sells laddus and other items priced Rs. 50 each.

Visited here during Pournami and did the Giripradakshina at night, starting around 12 AM and completing it by 6 AM. The crowd was massive, so after finishing the walk we took some rest in the morning as darshan was difficult due to the rush. Later in the afternoon, around 2 PM, we went for darshan and were able to complete it in just 30 minutes. The experience was peaceful and truly blissful — we really loved the place. Arulmigu Annamalaiyar (Arunachaleswarar) Temple in Tiruvannamalai is a major South Indian Shiva temple located at the foot of the sacred Arunachala Hill. Built by the early Cholas in the 9th century and expanded by later dynasties, it stands as a grand example of Dravidian architecture with many gopurams, mandapams, shrines, and temple tanks. The temple’s spiritual significance is highlighted in texts like Arunachala Puranam and Tiruppugazh, and Lord Shiva is believed to have manifested here as a self-born lingam under a magizha tree. Many saints, including Ramana Maharshi and Seshadri Swamigal, attained samadhi here. I visited today along with my friend, and the darshan was amazing. We spent nearly an hour in the temple after the darshan, and it filled us with a lot of positive energy. Please note: On Pradosham and auspicious days, the temple becomes highly crowded, and waiting time for darshan can range from 3 to more than 6 hours. Parking is also difficult, and you may have to park far from the temple and walk or take auto. If visiting with senior citizens, plan accordingly. Buying special dharshan ticket for Rs 50/- will help.. To avoid crowds, visit on non-festival days, non-auspicious days, and weekdays.

Beautiful place to visit. Waterfall is active throughout the year. However, the flow reduces during March-May. If you are going with elderly people ensure that they can go and return around 2 k.m. Don't carry plastic bottles and food items. You can park your vehicles at the top. They will allow only 500 persons per day. So you can consider to stay nearby areas to cover many other locations around the waterfall. Only upi/ digital transactions are allowed for buying tickets.

I visited this water falls which is like 1km trek to the fall. It is under government and they charge 150 per person. Please mind taking student tickets which is only 50 rs. This trek is somewhat difficult. You should take about 2 hours. It not that worth visiting but if you feel to trek you must visit. Paid parking and local shops available also you have options of some activities near by.

Soochipara Waterfalls in Wayanad is a scenic spot surrounded by lush greenery. The short trek to the falls is a bit challenging but totally worth it. The waterfall is stunning, perfect for nature lovers. Clean, well-maintained, and refreshing experience. Enjoyed the falls. But the tickets are pricey.

We recommend buying tickets online or arriving early. The ticket price is ₹150 per person, and entry is not permitted without a ticket. The waterfalls are open all 365 days, but during the rainy season, only viewing is allowed—entering the waterfalls is not permitted.

Soochipara Waterfalls is soo good with wonderful water flow from the top of hill. Negative part is trekking, to reach this waterfalls we have to walk nearly 1 Kilometre additionally large large steps 🪜 to be used. After reaching Waterfalls it is worthy.

We visited this waterfall based on the suggestion and google review, but this place is a big NO!!! The start entry point is like the tip of the mountain and the waterfall is like at the base of mountain that much walking is to be done, there is lots of walking with slope and climb through the stones path and followed by big steps at the end which is difficult to go on, it cost Rs.150/- pp which is too much for the waterfall, if you are not in mood of walk and trek, this place is to be avoided! The gate closes around 5pm, all the guards are vanished at 5pm, there is no one around if you need any help if you go for the waterfall post 4pm, it took half hour for us to go to the waterfall and return half hour, 1 hour in total which is ascend and descend, as we spent only 5mins near the waterfall, as it was raining muddy water was falling and it was brown color. Do think twice before going for this waterfall, if you are up for a trek with proper shoes and mindset then its good!!

Suchippara Waterfalls is a beautiful and happy place to spend the day! The view is amazing, the water is refreshing, and the surroundings are full of greenery. A perfect spot to relax, enjoy with friends, and connect with nature

This is a good view point in Gudalur-Ooty road near to Gudalur. The sharp shape of the view point gives it the name Needle point. There’s an entry fee of ₹20, the ticket counter is on the other side across the road. That side has a small snacks shop and a children’s play area. The view point is around 500 meters away from main road, need to walk in a low to moderately steep slope. The walkway is paved mostly making it convenient to reach the top view point. View point gives 360 degree view of the nearby plantations, tea estates, frog hill, Gudalur town and Mudhumali forest. There are few mobile toilets setup but most not functional and remaining are not maintained properly. There are no drinking water stations. Few stone benches put up at the entrance. At the top most point statue of a Nilgiri Tahr (Varayadu) is setup. It’s the state animal of Tamilnadu. There’s a photographer for taking instant photos with nice background during summer season

It was amazing views Located about 8 km before Gudalur on the Ooty–Gudalur road (NH 67). From Ooty it’s roughly 35-40 km, depending on route/traffic. The viewpoint gives 360-degree panoramic views — valleys, tea estates, forests (including Mudumalai), distant hills, etc. If you’re in the Nilgiris / Ooty / Gudalur area, Needle Rock is well worth a stop. It doesn’t demand huge effort, but offers a reward in the form of sweeping natural vistas, fresh air, and serenity. Best times are early morning or in late afternoon. Carry water, wear good shoes, avoid rainy times if you want clear views. Good: 1. Scenic beauty: Many visitors praise the sweeping views, especially during clear skies or when clouds/mist play across the hills. 2. Relatively easy walk: To reach the viewpoint one needs to walk about 500-1000 meters from the main road. The trail is moderately sloped, mostly paved/well defined. So it’s doable for most people who are somewhat used to walking. 3. Less crowded at off-peak times: If you go early morning or on weekdays, it’s calmer and more peaceful. 4. Affordable entry: The entry fee is very modest (₹10-₹20 in many reports). Camera usage fees may vary. Good spot for photography. It is a rocky ledge from where you will get a good view of the deep valleys down. The road to the peak is nice to walk on. Remember to visit it early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Otherwise the scorching sun will deter you.

There are open spaces, shaded areas, and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. It’s also a nice place for taking photos and spending quiet time with family or friends. Visited with family. Boating was closed due to heavy rain, but the area was clean and well-managed. Tried the toy train—an average to-and-fro ride. Good restaurants, street food options, ample parking, and plenty of food and raincoat shops nearby.

A very well planned, designed and maintained garden exclusively for Roses... With over 100's of varieties its a feast to our eyes... Kudos to the department officials and the numerous staff members who work tirelessly for the upkeep of this vast area... The garden layout is designed over 4 levels... With well planned layout of variety of rose plants... The staff are courteous... And knowledgeable about the plants, etc... They patiently answer to our queries... Only thing is you should be able to converse in the local language - Tamil. They also have a sles counter... Selling a range of saplings... A definite must visit place... For a calm, serene time... With nature blooming....

I visited the Ooty Rose Garden with a lot of excitement because every time I’ve gone in the past, it was full of colourful roses and truly eye-relaxing views. But this time, I was honestly shocked. There were almost no roses at all, and the entire place looked empty and dull. It felt completely waste to visit. I even asked the workers there, and they said May is the peak season, so that’s why there were no blooms now. Maybe that is true, but still I didn’t expect the garden to look this plain. I went only because of the beautiful memories I had from previous visits, but this time it was very disappointing. I hope they maintain it better throughout the year or at least inform visitors about the off-season, because people travel a long way expecting to see roses.

There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.

This peak offers a complete view of valley.There are snack outlets and even a having parlour.The entry ticket is 10₹. One can even buy sweaters and shawl and even hats. One weekends the place becomes highly crowded

This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. There are may cameramen present there who will click and print photos on the spot. There is also a watchtower, which you can climb up to get a better view from the Peak. The road leading up to this peak is also scenic, with tall trees.

A few minutes away from Ooty centre, it's worth visiting. At Doddabetta checkpoint, around Rs 50-60 deducted for car entry. Entrance fee is Rs 10. Have to walk a couple of steps to go to the viewing point. There's a small watch tower. There's also a few steps leading down to another viewpoint. Overall, amidst the hills of Ooty and Doddabetta, the views are scenic and serene.

Then tirupati is a Hindu, Perumal temple is nearly maintained by a private organization. Located in sirumugai road at a distance of 36 km from Gandhipuram and takes 55 minutes depending on traffic. On the leftside of the road a board is kept by highways tamil nadu in front of the temple. Please, refer the board for entry (there's an error in showing the entrance by Google map). At the entrance itself they collect the cell, camera to maintain the silence at the temple venue. Taking photos on the premises is not allowed. A peaceful, silent and devotional scenario for pleasant prayers. Some factory outlets and small sales counters and tea stall are available. Toilets, urinals and closets are maintained neatly. Good parking space is available. They charge Rs.50 for "laddu", nice. Suggestion to the sales counter : laddu is dry on the outer, please, check it. There's a cow shelter and sells "panjakavyam" @ Rs 100 per liter.

A very calm and cozy private temple with a view of serene nature with a view of pure positivity. Mobile 📱 phones are not allowed inside the temple and there is a safe deposit for the mobile phones. Delicious Laddus for the cost of ₹50 each is available here. Apart from the temple there are lot of dress shops at cheaper price rate. Ample parking space for four wheelers, even to accommodate vans and buses are available. A small eatery, bakery and provision store is located with the temple premises, for the convenience of the devotees.

This place is maintained by KG denim company. Good big temple. Every day perumal marriage is being performed. Trigger had factory price shop inside the temple premises. The premises has good parking facility.

Nice and calm place to visit with family. This is a private owned temple by KG mills, that's the reason you can see Trigger outlets in and around the temple. I would suggest to visit this temple on Saturdays. Parking available for both cars and bikes. No fees for parking or to enter the temple. Mobile or any camera devices are not allowed inside the temple.

A must visit temple that perfectly blends spirituality with the beauty of nature. You can either climb the 600+ steps or take the bus service available, but I highly recommend walking, it’s an excellent experience. Once you reach the top, you can truly witness the divine presence of Lord Murugan and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surroundings. If you are visiting Coimbatore, this temple is definitely not to be missed!

Peaceful and well-maintained temple Visited the Murugan Temple in Coimbatore and had a really calming experience. The temple is clean, well-organized, and has a serene atmosphere. The architecture is beautiful and the surroundings are quiet, making it a nice place to sit and reflect. The darshan was smooth and the staff were helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spiritual break.

We will visit here atleast once in a month. You will find peace here. Situated in the hills, if you plan to visit the temple , and if you plan use the steps , you need to reach there before 5pm. Steps are closed after 5pm on all days due to elephants and chetah movement. Two wheelers or four wheelers are not allowed after 7 pm during weekdays and after 5 pm during weekends as well as festival seasons. Four wheelers are not allowed after 5 pm on any day. They have there own small buses carrying from hill bottom to top. But they too stop after 7 pm. Temple closes around 8 to 8.30 pm after Pooja's.

This temple is around 25 kilometres from Coimbatore, the entry fee to hill for car is 30 Rs. This place having limited car parking near the temple, so sometimes becomes difficult to get car parking here. There is a toilet facility there, the cleanliness is average. You have to climb few steps around 100 to reach the temple, there are two line for darshana one general darshana line and second one is special darshana line, the charges for special Darshana is 50 Rs. Per person. The temple situated at the foothills and surrounded by hills, it's a very spiritual experience to visit this temple. From the temple you can see bird view of Coimbatore city.

We visited the temple on a Friday. On that day, cars were not allowed to go up the hill due to the Krithigai festival, but vehicles with political flags were still permitted. If you are a common devotee, you’ll have to wait longer and face some struggle to get a darshan. Temple buses are available to take devotees up the hill near the temple, but you still need to climb a few steps to reach the main shrine. Senior citizens, patients, and differently-abled people find it difficult to manage this climb. Otherwise, the temple is clean and well-maintained, and some development work is in progress. It would be good if the Government or HR&CE department could improve facilities to help senior citizens and differently-abled devotees reach the temple more easily.

Went to this temple during my first visit to Coimbatore. This temple is located 15km from the main city of Coimbatore. The temple is at the base of the hills of western ghats. It is said to be over a 1000yrs old temple with visitors coming from all over India. I went on Friday evening, the experience of going to the temple was not pleasant as we had to wait at the foothills for more than 1 hrs just to go to the top of the hill. There are people manning the entrance of foothill with security. The stop vehicle movement and charge 20rs for parking. The foothills to the entrance closes at 7pm, even local bus service to the top closes at 7pm. Once you go to the hilltop, Darshan is available until 8:30pm. The place has not developed much. Lots of inconvenience for visitors. No proper parking, lack of basic amenities like public toilet, drinking water etc. Very limited shops near the temple. The only good thing is having darshan of Lord Murugan. We were lucky to see Abhishekam of Muruga as well at 8pm. Apart from that the place doesn't give a good temple atmosphere or a serene experience. Govt must take up the task of developing the place at foothills with hotels and shops for visitors. May be due to forest area and western ghats they might have restricted the development activities also. There are elephant movement at stairways when going towards the hilltop. Well, big land converted to a religious place having Lor Shiva's statue 🙏 but other than the statue, it is just a place where you can enjoy some food, have shower, and see bullock cart. Lastly a Dome, also called Dhyanlinga where you can sit and meditate. It can also be done at home for people who don't know. Try this, go back home and close your eyes, empty your mind and call upon whoever you worship. God is within you. They have SAVE SOIL slogan and they love animals. There is bullock cart in 50° degrees carrying passengers from one place to the other. I mean we have battery cars and golf cars but they love animals and want them to know that they are loved deeply. Lets make these poor animals carry 9 people at once under the 50° degree sun. Touche! Tradition can be supported with technology too, we don't need to harm animals this way. We could barely walk in the sun and these poor animals were carrying so many people. God forgive these people who are doing this to animals 🙏 BATH FACILITY - We had shower in the morning so we didn't go shower here. I mean it's not elixir otherwise we would have definitely. DHYANLINGA - the road (walk only) leads to dhyanlinga but when its nearly 50° degrees, it makes it difficult to walk barefoot on the UNEVEN and hot surface. They could have put Carpet on the foor covering uneven surface but i guess they were short of funds and also they wanted you to feel the culture. You are going to feel that culture the next day too when your feet hurts. There were old people walking slowly and some of them were pouring water on the floor to walk on that hot surface. It was 3PM and Carpet is a must for people who aren't used to walking on the uneven hot surface. Finally when you reach dhyanlinga, they will force you to sit inside dome and meditate. We recently had an accident and couldn't sit on floot so they forced us to sit on the chair. We didn't want to be rude so we sat for 2 minutes. There was a small baby crying very softly and these CARETAKERS asked the lady to get out pointing finger as if she made a huge mistake. If they can't respect humanity, what good will come of anything they practice in life. We saw that and immediately stood up. 2 of them tried blocking our way. Well, just to be clear, We bow to God only and there was no God here. We are not slaves they need to get this to their heads. We left instantly without responding to them. By the way, the best feeling was when we bought 3 packets of biscuits and made the dog eat. He was very happy and kept coming back to give his love. That was the only good feeling we got. We made sure the dog wasn't hungry anymore and then left back for the hotel. Canteens are everywhere so don't worry if you miss one. There are more on the way. Also phones were not allowed but we noticed some of them carrying it quietly with them. The deposit box is safe. They take your photo and phone number. So nothing to worry about.

The Adiyogi area of Isha Yoga centre is about a km from parking area. This is a very impressive giant sized statue on a large platform. There is a Shiv Linga in the forecourt area of this statue where visitors can offer Jal abhishek amidst continuous chanting. A good arrangement ! But the walk from parking to the adi Yogi arena can be a challenging one for senior citizens & children during mornings & summer times as it's a wide open area without any trees/shade. So beware of this aspect & go prepared with sunglasses, Caps etc.

Visited this temple during our coimbatore visit, this temple was suggested by Anandas hotel manager. The temple is located 12-15kms from coimbatore city. The Vinayagar idol is about 6ft tall and looks magnificent. The entire temple gives you a Devine feeling. There is a small garden and a marriage area inside the temple. Parking is available for 3 to 4 cars, there are shops to buy pooja items as well. this temple is located under the flyover and has continuous vehicle movement. This temple is special because many new bike or car buyers get their pooja done here. Many devotees also perform dristi removal ritual with coconut here. Nice place to add to your coimbatore list.

According to legend, the idol was originally being taken to the Pateeswarar Temple in Perur from Madhurai, but the cart broke down near Eachanari. The idol became embedded in the soil, which devotees interpret as a divine sign, leading to the construction of the temple around it. The temple has undergone several significant updates over the years, with the first Kumbabhishekam held in 1977, and photographs from the ceremony are displayed at the temple. How to reach: • By car/taxi: It is about 12 km from Coimbatore city and takes roughly 30 minutes. (I was driving from Kerala via NH544 and NH968 to reach the temple) Note that the temple is located right by the roadside under a flyover, so parking can be challenging. • Public transport: Buses and taxis are available from Coimbatore, which is often more convenient due to traffic and limited parking.

This is the biggest Ganesha temple in Kongu region and a very old one as well. Located in a village some 5/6 kms from Ukkadam, this has both inner/outer prakarams, a function hall & parking area etc. Like the temple, the moolasthan moorthi is also large sized prominent deity. Overall a nice and scenic dam with really nice gardens. A simple and nice place to visit with family. There are activities inside the dam like ropeway, boating etc which can be fun and relaxing at the same time. Can visit once or twice but not more than that.

Not well maintained at all. The ropeway was ok. If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.
