Cailler museum was a pure delight. There was a separate production line just for samples. Loved every bit of the museum from the history of chocolates to modern day chocolate making in Switzerland. Of course the free samples and the discounted chocolates in the gift store were icing on the top!

Arriving was a little intimidating. We went at a 4:00 on a Sunday, and the line waiting to enter the tour was already out the door. The way they have their store set up is very aesthetically pleasing. A whole wall full of chocolate bars! The tour its self was very entertaining. You are lead through different rooms where they tell you the story of their factory, with each room heavily decorated to tell you part of the story, going perfectly along with the audio tour. They had a chocolate machine making little chocolates right in front of you, which, after being wrapped, were then placed in a bowl specifically for you to eat! They had multiple testing stations after that, which I loved. It was all around worth every penny.

Fantastic Medieval Castle For me this is one of the most fabulous castles in Switzerland with Chateau de Chillon or Vaduz (actually in Liechstenstein). The reason I really like it is the fact it is so well preserved you almost feel like you could be in the 13th century. The wood is still there which is quite unique. The whole feel is very grand. Bonus is that once you are here you can eat a great fondue in one of the local restaurants. Super worth it and recommended.

Enjoyed the visit to the castle very much, I happened to visit during medieval festival which was wonderful. Spent a couple of hours there. Lovely gardens as well. A great day's outing. I recommend going early morning to avoid crowds.

A nice small castle in Gruyère. You will learn how it changes over time as it was owned by a local count to the a rich artist family and lastly as a museum. The castle is interesting since it has also been used as a personal residence of artist family so there are a few rooms that looks like 19th century European home. You can also see beautiful scenery of surrounding village from the castle and also takes picture of beautiful garden. Two negative things that can be improved are: 1) There is a large signboard in the courtyard for ad. 2) There are some modern art installations that feel out of place within the castle (not dedicated space). Both break the immersion. Recommended to visit. 👍 Tips: You can buy join ticket with Maison du Gruyère or Giger Museum or Tibetan Museum.

This is a beautiful small town nestled in the swiss Alps. There are lots of shops and 3 cool museums to visit as well as a castle. The food was great but like in all the other reviews it's expensive. So if you want to eat cheep stop at the grocery store or McDonald's before heading up to the town.

Although we did not go inside, we enjoyed very much walking through the lovely town of Gruyeres all the way up to the castle and admired the beautiful view.

Although growing up in Switzerland, I had never visited Château de Gruyères before and hadn't even been aware of its existence. But I came across it online when planning my most recent visit to the country, and I'm glad I did, because it's an absolute gem and shouldn't be missed by anyone in the area! Unlike many other castles, it's well furnished, so lots of things to look at inside. Especially the tapestries I found sensational. There are also extensive exhibits that tell the story of Swiss tourism, which I found fascinating. Wondering around the castle was a real eye-opener, feeling like a true step back in time, interesting and educational. One thing to slightly criticise: The official Website is very slow, which can be a bit frustrating. Just wondering whether it's running on a slow server, which might benefit from an upgrade. I noticed this when planning the trip and just checked again now, encountering the same problem.

You can combo the castle ticket with the gruyere factory down below. Nice castle with perfect views up and down the valley. Three levels are open with a descent amount of artifacts. The fireplaces are something to pay attention to.

The museum was laid out very well, great selection of art, and friendly staff. It's not my style of art, however, the impact he had on modern movies is quite impressive. My perception is he was pursued by his own inner demons to create the style of art. It's an awesome place to explore the mind of H. R. Giger. From a mechanical perspective the details in his drawings and sculptures is insane and from an artistic perspective, at least subjective from my side - very interesting. If you like phallic/yonic shapes, it's a perfect way to experience them in all weird ways. I had a lot of laughs and good conversations with my GF over some drawings 😂 but also much appreciation over his art. He's 700 year waiting for B-Post sketches are priceless. If you think your child should accompany you - you are probably more weird than Mr. Giger himself. And only the best for Armbeinda.

Walking through the rooms feels like stepping straight into his surreal and dark universe – it’s both eerie and fascinating at the same time. The collection is huge, from his early sketches to the iconic Alien designs, and everywhere you turn there’s something that grabs your attention. It’s not just a museum, it feels like a journey into the mind of a true visionary artist. My wife and I kept pointing things out to each other, completely amazed by the level of detail and imagination. If you’re anywhere near Gruyères, this place is worth going out of your way for – unforgettable and one of a kind.

We had the most exciting time visiting this incredible museum with its extensive collection of artwork from HR Gigger. There are many exhibition rooms that we found very exciting to discover, my very favorite is a large table with high backed throne like chairs and life size sculpture of the Alien. Photos without flash are allowed.

This covers all of HR Geiger's work not just the Xenomophs but other movies such as Species, as well as supernatural themes such as Satanic and magic based themes Due to this I would say personally that I wouldn't take anybody under 15 into the museum as I was made uncomfortable from some of the artwork and I am in my middle age and thought I was opened minded This art gallery is on 4 floors and while they will help you as much as they can to get around the museum, the village is medieval and very hilly so be advised that if you are like me with reduced mobility you may need to give yourself extra time The cost is reasonable at 12.50 swiss francs and you can't order advance tickets but due to the popularity of the village from tour groups get there as early as you can to avoid queues

La Maison du Gruyère is a charming stop if you’re visiting the Gruyères region. The self-guided tour is short but informative, giving a nice overview of how the famous Gruyère cheese is made. You can see the production process through glass windows (especially interesting if you go in the morning when cheese is being made), and the free audio guide adds good context in multiple languages. You’re given cheese samples at different stages of aging, which is a nice touch. The interactive parts are kid-friendly and engaging, and the gift shop offers a wide range of local cheeses and souvenirs at reasonable prices. However, the experience is more educational than hands-on, so don’t expect to make your own cheese or interact with the cheesemakers. Still, it’s a great stop for an hour or so, especially if combined with the nearby Gruyères Castle or the chocolate factory in Broc. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!

A shorter but excellent experience to see how this traditional and famous Swiss cheese is made! It is quite short but as part of a bigger itinerary in the day this is perfect, best suited in combination with a trip to the castle, and well worth it! Their cafe is also really nice and the people are lovely, usually also very accommodating, and speak very good English, for those who have trouble with French.

Great museum with beautiful grounds and park. We visited the museum for the special exhibit, from Renoir to Van Gogh. The exhibit was very interesting with many unique paintings. The regular exhibits of antique cars was very educational. The collection of photos of Giannadda definitely worth visiting.

Very nice museum, small but cute. There is an exhibition that changes time to time, and two areas dedicated to the main characters of the museum. There is also one area with the cars of the beginning of 20th century. There are 2 cafeterias, one indoor, very cute (like a step back in time), and one outside in the garden, where it is really pleasant to sit and enjoy the park and the weather. The museum is not big, but has such an eclectic variety of collections that's its a very entertaining way to pass an hour - no matter what you're interested in. There's a potted collection of roman artifacts, early cars, contemporary sculpture and decorative arts. The Cafe in the sculpture garden is a great place for a leisurely aperitif or on a sunny day. The history of Roman Martigny is well explained in French and German, but most other signage is in French only.

I took a friend there to see the vintage car collection and we were happy with the visit except for the very rude staff member called Martine. I was telling my friend about how Anker used red in most of his paintings as told during my previous guided tour. Martine then said very loudly about me being too close to the painting which is impossible because of the barrier. They can easily get their surveillance cameras to see that I was no where near paintings. She then said very loudly in French to another customer that 'some people don't understand anything ' in French, referring to me. Now that I can no longer find my previous review also about her rudeness, I guess she remembers me. My friend's first thought was her being racist, but I sincerely hope not. It was such a shame that how a rude staff member can totally spoil an almost perfect experience. Honestly, she should not be working there.

Well maintained castle, modestly furnished, with a collection of interesting frescoes and murals. Strategically built on a small island, it used both the Lake Geneva and a moat created between the island and the mainland for defense. Our group had arrived in the late afternoon just in time to enjoy free wine tasting of some local wines, then proceeded to explore the medieval halls and underground chambers. The view from some rooms onto the lake and the Alps is stunning. It is the most visited monument in Switzerland.

Château de Chillon is actually really big to explore, especially with the guided map they provide you. I was so tired, a lot of exploring new rooms that never seem like it would end. If you didn’t know, this castle inspired Prince Eric’s in The Little Mermaid. You can hear tons of water sounds by the prison area. It was relative peaceful for me as there weren’t much crowds and kids, so sometimes I got to explore rooms alone.

It lets you wonder alone around the castle which is a magical experience. The castle is in great conservation, and the dungeons are particularly beautiful. The best view I’ve had from any castle I’ve visited so far. The castle is beautifully preserved, with authentic medieval furnishings that clearly took great effort to maintain. Two hours or longer is needed.

The careful preservation of this site allows an understanding of history, with excellent access to all areas both indoors and outdoors and detailed information boards throughout. But they should give some thought to rearranging the layout a bit as you certainly can't use much of the deluxe chair features since you're totally constrained by the folks across from you in the four-Plex sections. Do yourself a favor and pick a seat from the single row sections - even if that means splitting up your party. Also, could really use some cupholders and places to stash your phones/cameras besides your lap or behind the front and back seats.

I highly recommend reseving a seat, and even though all views are breathtaking, may be the right side of the train was of my preference. We traveled from Interlaken to Montreux, approximately 3,5 hours, and it felt like no other train ride before. Definitely a must.

I did the entire Golden Pass train journey from Interlaken ost to Montreaux. While the train with huge windows is great, the best panoramic views are only between Gstaad and Montreaux. This panoramic train is included in Swiss Travel Pass. Since I did my journey on a weekday during spring season in April, I did not reserve my seat and was able to get a very good seat. However, I strongly recommend seat booking if traveling during peak summer season.

Doesn't matter what time of the day or what day of the year...if you are in Montreux, you just have to take a nice leisurely stroll along the lake. The place is always breathtakingly beautiful and it is peaceful despite being full of tourists and locals. There are many things to see along the promenade along with many restaurants and shops.

It's such a beautiful place to stroll down and enjoy the views of the lake. We weren't there during clear skies and it was still so so beautiful! The flowers were blooming and so many varieties, it was really a treat. Would recommend coming during Sunday, just a short train ride (not even an hour) from Geneva. Definitely a nice change from the shops and city life!

We arrived from Milan Sept 6, 2025 just in time for the 3 days Freddie Mercury birthday celebration. I enjoyed the celebration right there in Lake Leman so happy to celebrate 🥳 his birthday and experience where he once stood. The museum dedicated to Queen is just 200 meters from his statue.

Enjoyed the walk around Lake Geneva, admiring the many statues, small or lifesize. The iconic one of Freddie Mercury was like icing on a cake. However I do wish someone would clean up the statue once in a while, there is just too much junk hanging on him and around him as gifts from well meaning fans.

When in Rome...er, Montreux. Worth a visit for a photo or two if you've got the time. And there's a gelateria just a block away! Hang out on/near the lake right there at the coolest public bench circle ever made, then take a stroll along the lake - preferably near sunset.

As a lifetime fan of Freddie, I took a 4 hour detour, just to go and pay respect to the greatest singer and entertainer if all time. He has a beautiful spot with a great view of the lake. I'm sure he would have loved it.

The great representation of a Titan of music. A little hard to get a great photo as they were doing some construction around the area. At one point, he even had a do not cross tape wrapped around 1 foot as they made a fence to do some work on the viewing platform for the lake. I did manage to get one or two good shots. If you can get a picture of him from the side with the mountains and the lake on a nice day it is very breathtaking in a view. I’m sure he appreciated when he was in town to record music.

Statue of Freddie Mercury (Real name: Farrukh Bulsara) was a British singer and songwriter who achieved global fame as the lead vocalist and pianist of the rock band Queen. This statue is a tribute to him and serves as a memory of the days of his life he spent in Montreaux, Switzerland. The location is also stunning alongside Montreaux promenade. Tip: Don't forget to visit his recording studio in Montreaux. Search on google maps: Queen Studio Experience. Entry is free.

This is hotel located on a large plot of land and composed of an 19 th century impressive older building with reception area and restaurants, which was complemented with a new semi circle extension in which the bedrooms are located. The outside gives a mixed feeling: an impressive entry to the entrance building, while garden and parking lots are looking messy and not maintained. The reception staff is very friendly and welcoming and provided all info that we wished for. A special thanks to Johnny for his great service and welcome. The rooms are of a normal size and are well equipped with a good bathroom. Minibar is stocked quite limited. From the room you have access to the hotel pool, but more importantly any hotel guests have free access through there own entry to the thermal pools and spa. This is a great benefit of staying at this hotel. Breakfast is served in the historical building in a large room. The breakfast offers the usual fare although there was no mention of eggs or omelets etc. When asked we were provided with them. The rooms was quite full with guests and the staff had to work hard to arrange and clear the tables and refill the buffet. The hotel is between a 3 and 4 star hotel category, and would need some upgrading in the areas commented upon above. Nevertheless, the hotel is fairly priced and overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the access to the thermal pools and the excellent service from Johnny.

Very beautiful hotel but majority of the thermal baths are closed. Lockers, showers and toilets are in temporary containers. But worst of all the water is so cold. I have been many outdoor pools in Switzerland even on colder days but don’t remember being this cold anywhere.

The bath is under construction with only two outdoor pools and a Sauna container open. Changing rooms are in temporary containers. They still charge CHF 25.- per adults which is grossly overcharged for the experienced offered.

Don’t waste your time and money to go there. First of all, they did not even bother to hide the construction site right in fron of the pool. Second of all, the showers were dirty and no soap or anything. It is extremely basic and boring place, a simple pool with luke warm water and a tiny sauna where you have to awkawardly look at the people swimming in the pool in front of you, at least turn the sauna around to be able to look at the park. I thought in Switzerland there are better service conditions and more pleasant atmosphere in places like this, but no, this felt like going to the pool in a middle sized city in 3rd world country in the 60’s or something. There are way better baths in Switzerland, still not great, but much better. Very dissapponted, sorry, this is an honest opinion.

My family and I just returned from our stay at Grand Hotel de Bains in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. I must say that it is an awesome hotel, with amazingly helpful staff—everyone at the front desk spoke English fluently—which was great for us. The hotel itself is lovely—not particularly modern (but that’s part of the charm)—one of the reasons I love Switzerland! A lovely breakfast buffet is included each morning—which is nice. Also, each of our rooms had a balcony—overlooking the pools and a view of mountains in the backdrop (breathtaking). By far, my favorite part of our stay was the hot/thermal pools. The hotel has two massive outdoor thermal pools and one indoor thermal pool (which happen to be open to the public—for a fee). Hotel guests have access to these three pools, but also have access to a smaller private pool (picture of private pool posted). The pools are so very relaxing. As an added bonus, we were there at the same time the Austin Healy classic car show was happening. The cars were absolutely spectacular—seeing close to a hundred of these lovely cars every morning was a treat! Overall, an awesome experience.

Currently undergoing building work (as many others have said) but there are still two nice outdoor heated pools available - one warmer than the other - and a sauna. Welcoming to all ages - my 2 year old had a great time!

I took the cable car to the top and walked toward Lac Blanc. It took about two hours to hike up, and on the way down I went in the opposite direction, which was a more difficult route with many rocks. In total, it took five hours to complete the hike.

Beautiful enough in the rain, though I'm sure it would've been even nicer on a sunny day. A shame it was rainy, but glad things cleared up enough to capture a few relatively clearer shots. A good visit on our last day of the TMB!

Lovely lake, deep turquoise waters with a mountain backdrop. + Nice point to hike to from Chamonix town. Stunning scenery on way up/down - coming up through the trees and opening onto the exposed mountain. + Easy enough to do in a day hike. Lots of trails to do a loop so you walk a different way to/from. - No swimming in lake.

Probably the most popular hike in Chamonix, because it's very easy and very beautiful. If you start the hike from the Index arrival point elevation gain is less than 100m. As a result there is always a lot of people. Try to start as early as possible to avoid the worst crowds and better light for pictures. Swimming in the lake is strictly forbidden!

We were here in early July and it was a nice walk along the lake to this museum perched on a small hill in the middle of a lovely park. Please visit the grounds even if you do not step inside the museum. Nice views over the lake and pleasant outdoor Olympic related art and information sprinkled through the outdoor grounds and all of this is free to access. Inside it is a well curated place with lots of information for an Olympics fan. We did it all in about 2 hours. The gift shop is where you buy the entrance tickets. Pro tip: if you do have a ticket and are there during the daytime, you do NOT need a lunch reservation to simply have a drink on their glorious outdoor terrace at the restaurant on the top floor. We just asked the host if we could sit outside for a drink and he enthusiastically said of course! What views!!! Drinks were not cheap but not more expensive than any other restaurant. So if you are curious and didn’t make a lunch reservation, please do stop by and see if you can snag a seat outside. The staff were kind and helpful.

It is obviously a must visit museum if you are in the Olympic capital Lausanne. Everything is very well presented. I particularly love the video clips introducing every Olympic Games through the years, as every clip begins with important events of that year. I’d very much love to finish them all but my schedule doesn’t allow me to. All the collections are inspiring and hold collective memories of people from all over the world, some of which remind me of the days when I was little and watched on TV the Olympic Games with my father. The -1 floor is fun. View of the lake from the terrace of the restaurant is stunning. Free access for Swiss pass holders.

Very nice. We were desperately looking for a clean bathroom that’s also free lol. It’s nice to see the poster of the Beijing Olympic in 2008. Unfortunately we only found the poster card but not many other souvenirs options such as fridge magnet for the Beijing Olympic.

Olympics museum is a must visit place for all Olympic fans. The location is stunning on the shores of lake Geneva in Lausanne. Infrastructure of museum is excellent with free locker rooms for storage. You study entire history of Olympics from its origin in Greece to revival of modern Olympics. There are archives of summer and winter Olympic games, mascots and models of all Olympic torches, Olympic uniforms etc. The museum used excellent multimedia to present everything. There are videos on projector screen which display opening ceremonies of all Olympic seasons. However, Olympics museum has lots of scope for expansion considering its huge space. You can have interactive games like FIFA museum in Zurich. A Hall of Fame can also be made featuring most celebrated Olympians of all times like Michael Phelps. A special section for upcoming Olympics can also be done. Hope to see these updates with passing time. Entry to Olympics museum is free with Swiss Travel Pass.

This museum is located facing Lausanne (Geneva)Lake with a nice park in front and is very well connected through road and metro rail network. It is a fantastic audio visual experience indoor as well out door and must see for tourists. Plan to spend at least 2 hours here and you will cherish it.

We spent there more than 2 hours. Interactive, with plenty of interesting information, surrounded by a nice park, with a great view and even access to a beach. If you are in Lausanne, must visit. Tickets are 20 CHF per person, no needed to buy in advance.

Great place to spend some leisure time here.. quite a lot of tiny things to do here especially for kids and family.. you can just sit around and soak in the beauty of lake Geneve... don't miss this..

Clean and very convenient. Easy access to the port and parks. Pricing is cumulative in 20-30 minute increments, so you end up paying 4CHF for 40 minutes.

None of the electric charging machines are operational. None working.

Parking was fine. Charging station couldn't be used with two different cards.

Really bad experience. Bad organised, had to wait a lot till we found a place and to go out from the parking ,it took an hour, because it id really bad organised. Do not recommend it at all. The worst experience with a car park ever for my 43 years .

Port D'Ouchy itself is a magnificent place. We went on a Sunday-- so clean, serene, the views of Geneva Lake and nearby France are spectacular. There is also a park and a nice view of Chateau D'Ouchy from behind. Good for picnics.

Pretty big underground parking lot near lake which should be your first destination during exploring Lausanne. I personally like LED lights which indicates free or occupied parking space. This parking isn't free, but this is common thing in Switzerland.

This museum rocks. The initial introduction video was Gneiss to whet your Apatite, but where this museum really shines is the collection of unique and ore-inspiring crystals from around the world. The whole Flourite is full of gems. Natrolite informational panels are in French (OKénite if you are fluent). Overall I Halite a great experience for the whole family. Don't Baryte on your itinerary in Chamonix, con-Sidérite a must!

We visited this place to fill a gap between two activities and ended up discovering an amazing spot! The staff at the counter were super friendly, and we even got a small discount by showing the guest card provided by our hotel in Chamonix. The exhibits are fascinating and beautifully presented, showcasing unique stones and minerals from all around the world. It’s an incredible demonstration of the amazing creations our planet can produce. This is the perfect activity for a rainy day or bad weather while in Chamonix — highly recommended!

If you love stones, this place is for you. It boasts with some of the most incredible specimen, tells the history of this place and also has crystals and stones from all over the world. It’s very interesting, beautiful and worth the visit.

I’m a bit of a rock geek, so this was up my alley. Very cool selection of gems and crystals. Only downside is there was no other language description of anything. I know, I know… it’s in France, but as a main tourist town where most things have translations that was a little disappointing. However it was good value, and I got the gist of it, the displays were very good.

We visited the museum on a rainy day and weren’t disappointed. Unquie stones and crystals from all over the world. It made us proud to see a vast collection of stones from Pakistan. Kids enjoyed it too; it would have been great if the activity leaflets were in English, but it was in French only, and many kids like our kids couldn’t do the activity. But they still enjoyed it.

This was great, fantastic views, really enjoyed the trip. We bought a 4 day advance ticket from tourist office for all local ski lifts for best value. We also walked on the path to the next ski lift La Paz, a medium challenging walk also with amazing views.

Highly recommended if hiking is main objective. We went upto Planplaz and then hiked to and from La Flegere. It too about 4 and half hours. Could take shorter or longer depending on fitness. One can go up and then take the stairs lift down to Le Praz or vice versa. Hiking or taking the cable car to Brevent is also an option.

Amazing experience we had to book the time slot to visit Mt Brevent the cable car was something else amazing engineering skills and design to carry people up to areas that are totally unreachable to most. Best Day for a long time

Great view. It is worthy to jump off and hike from the top lift Brevent to the middle lift. It takes around 1 hour to hike including the picture time and coffee break.

If you have multipass, you can use this cable lift for free...You have to change lift in half of your way up to top, where is restaurant with breathtaking view to Mont Blanc and nearby mountains...Above restaurant is another place with 360 degree breathtaking views...

Google map info about the cable car stations around Chamonix sometimes could be confusing. This is the station to Le Brevent. Not very crowded during UTMB period in late August. I bought a Multi pass and rode immediately.

We’ve never had much luck with the Aiguille du Midi, either poor weather with no visibility or fully booked on the clear days. This lift proved to be an excellent alternative, with breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc range. From the summit, you don’t just get the Mont Blanc panorama but also, on a clear day you can see all the way to the Chartreuse near Grenoble and Chambéry. It’s not as high as the Aiguille du Midi (only 2525m), but it’s still a fantastic experience and well worth the trip. There are auberges at both stops for food or drinks, and watching the paragliders take off adds to the atmosphere.

Booked our 3yr old toddler in a few months back. Great communication from Ellie in the team all the way through to before just first lesson. So many questions for us that they happily answered. He then met Francois. Despite a few tears at the start he was quickly off exploring and boarding. Beaming from ear to ear at the drop off. For the next few days, everyone in Mint uniform has became a best friend to him, waving when he points them out to us. He has had a great time boarding and learning new things as well as having adventures on the chair lifts. He wants to come back for more lessons with Francois and next year I will have a few with Mint as well.

Technical Performance Course with MINT Snowboarding My boys (now 13 and 15) have been having lessons with MINT most seasons since they were just 4 and 6 years old, so we’ve known and trusted this incredible team for years. This season, I joined my 15 year old on the Technical Performance course and it turned out to be one of the best snowboarding experiences we’ve ever had. I’m an experienced boarder, but I had never ventured in the snow park. I really wanted to push my riding to the next level, and this course delivered exactly that. The coaching was technical, focused, and perfectly tailored to each rider. We covered everything from carving and torsional flex to steeper terrain, off-piste control, and freestyle, with helpful video feedback throughout the week. We were lucky to have two brilliant instructors Jorge and Janet who each brought their own unique style to the course. Jorge’s energy and technical insight were inspiring, while Janet’s calm, precise coaching helped us really lock in key improvements. It was great to experience both their teaching styles they complemented each other so well. Safe to say, my son was exceptional when it came to freestyle he was flying through the park, and learning alongside him really pushed me too. We spent half our mornings in the snow park, starting on the small jumps, part way through the 1st session my son moved onto the medium size jumps and by second day so was. Part way through the week we were confidently hitting and landing the middle-sized ones all day long. I didn’t expect to enjoy the park as much as I did, but I absolutely loved it. MINT really is the premier snowboard school in Europe, they’ve built an incredible reputation for a reason. From age 3 to adult, their coaching system and team of instructors are second to none. I wouldn’t recommend any other snowboard school. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to fine-tune advanced skills, MINT is simply the best. Huge thanks again to the whole team. we’ll definitely be back.

We decided we wanted to take the twins (6yrs) for their first trip to the mountains this winter, and learn to snowboard. We researched all the schools in Europe and time and time again we were drawn back to Mint. The reviews were phenomenal and the vibe we felt from their social was exactly what we wanted. We came to Avoriaz for Mint, and wow, it was the best decision we made. Francois their instructor was incredible, they both loved him, and he knew exactly how to get the best out of their very different personalities. We genuinely couldn’t have found a better fit, and could not believe the improvements seen in just 3 lessons! We will be making Mint and Francois a firm feature in our annual calendar! Thank you Francois and Mint for making their first time to the snow/mountains and epic one!

Massive thank you to Tammy and the rest of the Mint crew for such an awesome week on the slopes. I did the off piste course and we were lucky enough to be treated to a new adventure every day! Tammy provided lots of guidance and definitely feel I came away a better boarder. We had a great group so lots of fun was had!! Can’t wait for next season!

Such a fantastic week. I loved everything about it. Tammy’s coaching was excellent. She made use of every moment we had on the slopes and covered so much ground in one week. The technical skills we learned improved our riding in a variety of terrain and conditions. We had a blast in every lesson whether we were on the piste, gaining confidence in the park or riding powder. The chalet was really nice and the hosts were amazing. The yoga sessions with Katie were really good too. I feel so lucky to have been part of this camp. Everybody was so friendly, encouraging and fun to hang out with. I made some really good friends and look forward to snowboarding with them and Mint again soon!

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! The camps are amazing combined with Treeline. The instructor was really patient and gave me so much confidence on the slopes. DEFINITELY coming back next year 🏂🤩💫

Had a fabulous week with Iban, In a group of 3 ,we all said we learnt so much! Top Instructor and always a lovely smile. Definitely recommend and would use again.

This was only the second time we have been skiing, having gone in February 2024 but not to Morzine. Sadly today (3rd January 2025) was our last day skiing for this holiday. We have had daily lessons for the last week - 1 instructor for my wife and myself and one for our teenage girls - they are way better than us parents! Tom, was tasked with teaching us oldies and Kate the girls. To say they were great just doesn't seem sufficient. They both quickly understood our relative levels and what we needed and were brilliant at keeping the lessons fun and at the right level. By the end of the week the girls were off piste skiing and doing 360 spins and skiing backwards! My wife and I ... were not doing these things ... but we were able to ski around with total confidence (and if we do say so ourselves some ok technique!) and have just a lovely time on some beautiful runs. We will most definitely be coming back to Morzine and we will absolutely be booking again with British Alpine Ski School. All of the Bass employees seemed great but as we got to know Tom and Kate a little bit more we do have a particular soft spot for them. And finally a quick mention to Jo in their head office. She is so helpful with the booking process and made things so simple and made you feel like a real person. An absolute star. As you can tell I can't recommend BASS enough... even if I couldn't do 360 degree spins ... but maybe next time!

I can honestly say we had one of the best experience with BASS Les Gets that we have ever had with any company. It was our first time skiing with our young girls and from the support and advice during the booking process through to the AMAZING instructor we had we could not have wished for more! It made the trip so much more enjoyable for the whole family and I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering a ski school in France. Thank you and see you next year.

Both my individual and group lessons with BASS were excellent and I would highly recommend them. They keep their class sizes small and this meant that I got lots of very individualised feedback from highly experienced and expert instructors, even in a group lesson. The instructors tailored the lessons to meet the varied needs of everyone in the group and made sure everyone had an enjoyable time. This makes it well worth the slightly higher cost than other companies in Morzine because you develop much more quickly across a smaller number of lessons.

I recently had the pleasure of taking ski lessons in Les Gets with instructors Ed and Jaz, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the start, their energy, passion, and enthusiasm for skiing were absolutely contagious. Their love for the sport was evident, and it made the whole experience incredibly engaging and enjoyable. Having not skied for a very long time, I was initially quite nervous, but their positive attitude and encouraging approach made all the difference. They had a great way of boosting confidence, ensuring that every step of the lesson felt like progress rather than pressure. The teaching style is adaptable, adjusting to your needs and skill level, which made learning both effective and loads of fun. Beyond their excellent instruction, Ed and Jaz were punctual(unlike me), professional, and incredibly helpful. Their ability to break down techniques in an easy-to-understand way while keeping the atmosphere light and fun made every lesson a highlight of my trip. If you’re looking for ski instructors who bring skill, enthusiasm, and a genuinely supportive teaching style, Edward and Jaz are an outstanding choice. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Had a fantastic experience with BASS, the booking process with Jo was really smooth and a special thank you goes to Tom my instructor. I began the week barely able to turn on green runs without falling over and ended confidently skiing a red run, the tuition was brilliant throughout and he really took the time to understand my strengths and weaknesses and build up my confidence. Can't recommend them highly enough and I wouldn't hesitate to book again on my next visit to Morzine.

BASS is the bomb. I only ever skied once in my life before (which was not a great experience) and within four days of adult group lessons I was comfortable going down blue pistes !!! The groups are small and the instructors communicated with one another to make sure that everyone was comfortable at their levels. My instructor Tom Watts was amazing: patient, kind and knew well when it was time to take it to the next level. Group lessons can be frustrating when different levels and learners are put together, but this school has a fantastic system to cater to everyone's needs and learning goals. Super experience !!!!!

We have been using Bass for a few years now for our girls; now 6 and 7. Hands down the best ski school for children (we have also tried others). Instructors are kind, credible and deliver great coaching. Our children always enjoy the experience. In Val both Luke and Dave have been exceptionally good.

Even on a cloudy day in October it is a magical place, the sculptures, chateaus, buildings and gardens and vineyards dotted along the lake are fantastic. Great place to walk and just jump back on the train when you have finished your walk. You can even catch a ferry over to France or along the lake but the ones that go along the lake only run in high season. The water is crystal clear and there are lots of places you can swim.

One of the most beautiful places in Geneva. Stunning views of the lanscape from on land and also from the lake cruise which is very well priced for a 90 minute cruise. The cruises are very regular and gives a whole different view. Lots of bridges crossing the lake at the narrower points, and lots of stalls and shops and places for food all within a couple of minutes walk. The tour bus and flower clock are also very close to the lake.

Beautiful lake to relax and see.

One of the best days of last October. Lake Geneva is a magical place where time seems to stop. The mountains are reflected in the water, like in a mirror, and a leisurely walk along the embankment gives inspiration and fills with calm. The atmosphere is like on a wonderful postcard, only you are inside it) The photos turned out like from a magazine. A real place of power! An incredible experience, you want to go back there again and again!

This is the tourism office where you can request for any information and help that you need. Yvoire is a lovely place and was really a super fun and well spent day. I will highly recommend a visit here. Very beautiful with the cobblestone roads, stone and wood houses with beautiful flowers everywhere. Totally fantastic, a place out of a medieval fairytale!

A city of medieval where wood, stone and flowers meet. You can be lost in the history while you wander in its tiny historical streets. I would like to take pictures of its every single building, gardens and roads. I liked it too much. I highly recommend you to visit this beautiful place.

Yvoire is one of the most beautiful place I've seen around the Leman Lake. The car-free zone is wonderful, with lots of historical buildings.

Our visit to Yvoire was magical but the garden was the cherry on the top! We love botanical gardens and have visited many but this one is now our favourite. We asked one of the garderners a question. How old the apple trees were. He explained so much to us, were very grateful for the time he took to do this. Love the concept, layout and how it naturally flows to create a wonderful experience.

jardin des cinq sens is a very nice place to visit. There is a lot to learn about plant. The taste part of the visit is very interesting. I wish I can have some of the plants at home for cooking. Price is high but one can imagine the work to setup a garden like that.

Small, but very well maintained garden with different themes: touch, smell, taste, see and hear plants and fruits from all over the world! A beautiful experience!

Well taken care of, shaped as a guided labyrinth, interactive as you can touch, smell and taste some of the plants. Nevertheless quite small, and way too pricy (15 eur).

Even in cloudy weather and a bit of rain they were beautiful! You can do it solo, with friends or family and have an educational and fun time using all of the five senses. It took us about an hour to complete and we really took our time.

Dinner with team after congres day. 2 had filets de perche this fish filets were baked with a tartare sauce nothing to have a waw feeling. 1 penne ciocarna ( see picture) also no real wow effect missong of spices and 1 spaghetti fruits de mer seems was ok. white swiss wine could be better. Really good pizza, I recommend the « jet d’eau pizza » Only bad fact is that the crust was too thin.

Staff were really friendly and accommodating despite a language barrier. I was even given a free salad! Food was some of the best me and my friends have ever had and is well priced. The restaurant atmosphere was incredible as well. We all agreed we would absolutely eat here again 👍

I am travelling for work. Great food and even better people. Seems like a family owned business. I had the pugliese pizza and was amazing. But hey!! Be careful with the spicy oil they offer 🥵very hot

The food was delicious and the waiters really helpful to translate to English for us. They even had a English menu. The place was warm and the pizza oven in the heart of the restaurant. It felt like an authentic Italian family business.

Nice place to swim, jump into Lake Geneva, play on kids playground and get food (fondu and more) and drinks. Parking is difficult though - - try the hotel garage a few blocks away. Cheap (2 Euros per person), yet if you leave, you'll have to pay to re-enter on the same day.

An exceptional place in the heart of Geneva city on the lake. Beach and lake swimming pool in summer and a fabulous steam bath and sauna in winter time. I can also highly recommend their restaurant with greate dishes and local specialtys in the very casual surrounding of the bath.

Such a lovely place to have lunch at! The queue was quite long over lunch time but super worth it. Delicious food plus amazing lake view with swans and ducks swimming around you. I had this amazing salmon salad that tasted fresh and sat on the deck so I can be closer to the nature. It was such a memorable lunch at Geneva lake! Also, the staff told me which food contains pork in case I don’t eat it. Very kind! 😊

Cheap to enter the area and a very accessible entrance to Lake Geneva. There were toilets, changing rooms and lockers available and space to enjoy a picnic. There was a slide, climbing area and diving board available for additional entertainment. There was also an area to buy food and drinks. We had a fun time there.

For only 2 euros, you can access the beach front and the bathrooms. I went in the morning when barely anyone was there and stayed all day. There was a mix of locals and tourists there. I was there alone, but it’s very safe and I could leave my things on the beach while I went swimming without fear of things being taken. There is a restaurant there, too.

Ask deep seek for a safe place for tourists to swim in Lake Geneva, suggested this beautiful place, confirmed on Google map & which had a 4.6 rating with more than 9000+ reviews. Rush over after checking in hotel & enjoyed a nice swim with family, with 2CHF entrance fee per person, plenty of changing room and toilet, good summer vibes. Managed to try the famous cheese fondue for about 27CHF. Highly recommended place if you want enjoy a summer swim in lake Geneva 👍

If you’re in Geneva, this is a great place to visit! The view is amazing and you can see all of Geneva from above. We went up the mountain on the cable car, if you have a Swiss pass or a student you can get a discount. You may also choose to hike up or down the mountain. On the level you will exit the cable car on, there’s a cafe, gift shop, interactive activities, bathrooms and an outside area. From this outside area, you may choose to hike further up the mountain or explore the area, there are some restaurants a short hike from this area. The cafe has coffee, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, baked goods, pastries, sandwiches and small bites. There’s an indoor sitting area with couches and table and chairs. You can sit, have a coffee and admire the view in the warmth of the cafe. There’s gift shop has some cute things for purchase such as key rings, candles, keepsakes, pens, stuffed animals etc. They also offer a disposable ash tray and alcohol wipes for free. If you choose to stay on the Saleve facility, there is a lift and stairs to go up to the other levels/facilities. There’s an outdoor 360 platform on the top level where the view is even more amazing, your head will literally be in the clouds! You will need to scan your ticket from the cable car to access it. On the middle level there is a restaurant and conference rooms. The restaurant offers a ‘menu’ which is a set menu where you can choose between 2 options for each course. It was fully booked so we were unable to try it but it was surprisingly reasonably priced! To go back down, the cable car runs every 15 minutes. This is the second time we’ve done this!

I took dog with me. We enjoyed the Landscape enormesly. Paths and that's are bit worn so good shoes are necessary. Views are breathtaking.

Some decent viewpoints on top. The hike from all the way down to the top was a bit disappointing. Paths on southern side was not very nice and some trash lying around here and there. The more popular path, on the side of the cable cart was a bit better. The hike from Mornex was 2 hrs up and 1:15 down, about 800 m elevation in total. I didn't like that there are roads and private areas everywhere all the way to the top.

A short walk across the French border is a mountain frequented by locals of Geneva. We were afraid of going to Mont Blanc because of the altitude. It was a great trip!

A great spot for scenic panoramic views of Geneva and of the Alps. From Geneva you can get a local bus to the French border, walk a short distance to the cable car which will take you to the top of the mountain, and you can trek the short distance the rest of the way along the mountain to its highest point. It’s also possible to tandem paraglide down off the mountain if you organise it in advance, definitely worth doing

Outstanding experience hiking your way up the Salève. You will be exposed to marvellous landscapes and enjoying the vibrating and diversified nature. The path is well maintained and offers different possibilities. Breath the clear air and enjoy the day. Definitely recommended 👌.
