Amboli Water Falls, located in the Shayadri hills of Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district, is a popular destination during the monsoon season. The waterfall, resembling Dudhsagar waterfall, is surrounded by lush green forests and offers a picturesque view. However, it can get crowded during holidays and weekends, with traffic jams on the highway being common. Visitors are advised to be cautious during the monsoon due to potential landslides.
Amboli waterfalls are a delight during monsoon period. Though there is the MAIN Amboli waterfall, the entire route is dotted with number of waterfalls to get mesmerized. During peak monsoon you also get to enjoy thick cloud cover. After the rains the entire valley comes alive with water jetting out from several places. It has become a big attraction and has become quite crowded in recent years. Hence, if you really want to enjoy the bounty of nature then you should visit the place early in the morning. During monsoon, as the place comes alive, many road site eateries also come into being selling tea, coffe, maggie, sweet corns, fritter (pakora) etc. As the day progresses getting parking space becomes a challenge. Their are police men trying to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and restricting people to park on the side of the road. Government has come up with a toilet complex which is a great boon for the visitors. It rains heavely and rain wear is highly recommended. I also strongly suggest to carry extra clothing as the excitement pulls people to get soaked under the waterfall(s). Amboli is a must visit place during monsoon.

We visited Amboil Waterfalls ,it looked really beautiful and peaceful. The sound of the flowing water and the surrounding greenery made the place very relaxing. On the way to Amboli, we could see lots of small waterfalls, which made the journey even more scenic. The route is a bit rough, but the view is totally worth it.
One of the very famous waterfall…. Very crowded…. But you will definitely get refreshed here…. Suggest to visit on weekdays & avoid to visit on Saturday, Sunday & Holidays as parking place is not sufficient & road are very narrow due to ghat

Very thrilling and beautiful place specifically in Rainey days. Unforgettable and wondering ghat place. Smoggy, water sprinkling, there is no words for its stunning looks. But very rush and have to wear rainkot or jackets and must take food with you.

We had a really nice and knowledgeable tour guide explaining and showing us everything. She answered to all our questions and was really delighted to show us around. After the tour in the "garden" we had a big buffet with really nice food. Also we could buy home made stuff and spices there, which was awesome for us tourists

A good guided trip in the plantation to understand the different spices, their tree and usage. The garden is well maintained. Entry fee is Rs. 500/- that includes food and tour. They have their own store for selling spices and some byproducts. Considering the charges, veg food was not up to the mark.
Spent the afternoon at this beautiful farm, and it was nothing short of magical. The wooden bridge over the creek was so beautiful. We were surrounded by nature, and enjoyed an incredible buffet made by the locals and an insightful and informative guided tour that brought the stories of all spices to life.
It was truly an authentic experience, peaceful, grounding, and full of charm. The perfect escape from the usual. Highly recommend!
A beautiful spot in Goa that everyone should experience!
I visited with my family on October 4th, 2025. The entry fee was ₹500 per person, which included a decent buffet lunch with fish and chicken dishes. Truly worth it for the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
An awesome revelation of how the spice, herb and other tropical plants and trees are grown. We were welcomed with a fabulous ready drink Solkadhi, a soothing, digestive drink made from kokum and were even offered lunch upon our reluctant leaving of the plantation. Overwhelmed at the counter which had plenty of seeds to sell thankfully, since I wasn't going to leave without them either.
Best spot for family visit. Food is unlimited and tasty. Both Veg and Nonveg options available. Staff is very cooperative and gave nice information about all the spices plants they have.
Wonderful experience at this scenic plantation. Although it is a 100 acre private property, we tour a small part of it with a guide that teaches us the therapeutic, cooking properties of the various plants grown there. We’re also served a welcome refreshing hot clear tea at entry followed by a varied sumptuous lunch buffet prior to the tour. The entry fee of Rs. 500 is worth it. There is a small shop at the site where you can purchase fragrant oils, pure Feni, and spices. Highly recommend visiting this spot if you’re a nature lover, spice enthusiast, or just looking for something other than beaches in Goa.
Really enjoyed this trip today, recommended to us by our taxi driver whilst on holiday. We travelled a 4hr round trip to experience it and dont consider the time wasted at all. The guide was excellent, very informative with excellent English. The location is stunning. The entry included a meal which we both found was exceptional, my wife is very fussy and vegetarian and she had 2 servings. Would highly recommend it to anybody that wants to experience something unique.

Beautiful experience. We witnessed Makarotsav during Navaratri. The temple premises is large with the temple beautifully constructed in the unique Goan architectural style.
There is Anna dasohama (free food service by the temple) and a canteen where you can buy paid food.
Also, the sarees offered by pilgrims/ devotees to the diety are sold / auctioned at very low prices which you can buy here.
Ensure dress code. vendors outside the temple selling Nariyal, Banana, Mala (Offering to God) at Rs 150/- which is much higher. Further you can go temple without this (offering).

This temple is located inside military campus… Small and nice Mahadev temple surrounded with greenery… there is a children’s park and a small zoo where one can find animals like deer, rabbits, tortoise etc… no charges… small kids really enjoy this place… toilets are also available in the premises…

Military Mahadeva Temple is One of the city's oldest temples, this Shiva shrine is managed by the Indian Army and was inaugurated in 1955.
The temple is situated on Camp Road and is surrounded by a green, well-landscaped garden with a children's play area and has some benches to sit on.
The central shrine houses an awe-inspiring black Shiva Lingam, guarded by five-hooded serpents, which captivates visitors with its mystical allure.
Adjacent to the temple is a mini zoo that houses deer and emus, providing an additional attraction for families and nature enthusiasts.
The temple complex includes statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and replicas of forts associated with him.
The temple is open on all days from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Overall, while the temple grounds are commendable, attention to the attached zoo and the children's play area could elevate this location to a truly outstanding destination.
Since childhood ( 50 years ago ) we are regularly visiting this temple. Best managed my military administration. For children there is some surprise.

It's a beautiful temple. Well maintained. There is a garden inside the temple premises , and small rides are available too kids along with jumping castle , swing and sliders . Kids will enjoy as there is a small zoo kinda attached to temple compound where one can spot few deers , swans, turtles. Overall it's a good place for people of all ages. There is parking space for 2 and 4 wheeler and it's absolutely free .

They sadly don’t have elephants anymore (I read online about it and was looking forward to introducing my toddler to them but the forest department took them away a couple years ago). Regardless we had a great time overall. Tour guide, Lucy, was amazing. Fresh lunch was delicious. Great, reasonably priced herbal products to buy from their store .

Very beautiful farm and one of a kind experience if you are visiting for first time.
They welcome you with flowers and then serve you a welcome drink. Then you have a option of having lunch or going on a tour of farm.
Lunch was home like and tasty. They served both veg and non veg food. It is a buffet.
Then on tour they explain you all about the different spices and condiments they grow in the farm and their benefits.
At last they pour a mixture of some herbs with water on your back to relieve your fatigue.
Overall a great experience.
If you like being around nature and love the knowledge of trees, plants and spices you must visit this Spice Farm.
The entry fee was only Rs. 500/- per head which includes a tour guide and a lunch buffet.
The welcome to the farm was with a shower of flower petals and a small glass of Lemon Grass tea which has many health benefits.
The tour guide is available in Hindi, English and Konkani languages.
Our tour guide Saiksha who gave us a tour in English was very sweet, polite and knowledgeable.
The tour of the plantation is for about 25 to 30 minutes and is a walking tour.
Post that they refresh you with herbal cold water on your back to soothe and calm you.
They also give you 15ml of Fenni a local goan alcohol made from the Cashew fruit.
You can then sit down for your lavish spread of authentic local cuisine.
There is ample of parking space available here and it's better to come in early when it's cooler and has less crowd.
What an amazing experience for the eyes and the tummy… the guided tour was very informative and while it is a large plantation a quick 30 minute walk around the key areas was good to get a feel for this place… the food both veg, non veg including seafood was soooooo tasty…

I went here on my birthday — and man, that turned out to be such a great decision!
The food was absolutely amazing, and our guide was both knowledgeable and super nice, with just the right touch of sarcasm that made the tour fun and engaging.
Everyone we met was incredibly kind. We were actually the first ones to arrive that day, and they welcomed us with flower petals and a warm cup of lemongrass tea infused with cardamom and ginger — such a lovely start!
And can I say it again? The food was AMAZING. They served it in earthen pots — not sure if it’s cooked in them too, but either way, it was delicious 😬

Visiting the spice farm is definitely worth it. It's a privately owned farm spread over 130 acres, though only 2–3 acres are accessible to visitors. The guided tour is informative, offering great insights into various spices, their Ayurvedic benefits, and how to identify fake products often sold in the market.
The entry fee is INR 500 per person, which includes a guided tour, farm visit, and lunch. The food was delicious, healthy, and they even offer Jain/Swaminarayan options, making it completely vegetarian-friendly.
Since the farm is located away from North Goa, it's best to go by car for convenience.
🌿 An Absolutely Wonderful Experience at the Sahakari Spice Farm, Goa!
My visit to this spice farm was one of the most memorable experiences of my Goa trip! The place is absolutely wonderful — peaceful, green, and filled with the aroma of nature.
Our journey started at 8:30 AM from Panaji, and after navigating through Google Maps, we reached the farm around 9:45 AM. We were the first visitors of the day and were warmly welcomed with a refreshing cup of organic herbal green tea, made from freshly grown spices.
Soon after, a guide escorted us through the farm, explaining in detail about the different species of spices, their lifespans, when they start producing yield, and the climatic conditions required for their growth. We also learned about various organic farming techniques used to enhance spice production. Though I forgot his name, I truly admire him for his amazing knowledge, communication skills, and humble nature — he made the tour so engaging!
The farm tour lasted about an hour, surrounded by lush greenery, the sound of flowing water, and the soothing scent of spices — it was an absolute delight for the senses.
After the tour, we followed a traditional ritual where a blend of two organic oils was applied to our back — said to relieve tiredness, and it truly worked! Then came a chance to taste Feni, Goa’s traditional alcohol made from cashew fruit — like a desi version of tequila!
Next, we moved to the dining area for an unlimited Goan buffet, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations — especially for just ₹500 per person! There were around 10–12 vegetarian options and 3 non-vegetarian dishes, along with starters, desserts, and drinks. The flavors were authentic and delicious — finally, I got to taste the real Goan cuisine I’d been searching for throughout my trip.
We ended the visit by exploring the farm shop, where we purchased some authentic spices and oils. Prices were slightly on the higher side, but considering they are pure and organic, it’s completely worth it.
After relaxing for a while and capturing some photos amidst the beautiful greenery, we headed back to our hotel, completely refreshed and satisfied.

It’s educational, relaxing, and offers a perfect mix of nature, culture, and cuisine. Highly recommended!

Betalbatim Beach (often called Belaluim by locals) is a nice, cozy, and peaceful beach — perfect for relaxing away from the crowd 🌊. The sand is clean, and it’s great for an evening walk or just sitting by the waves. However, be careful not to drink alcohol on the beach, as police often patrol the area and can fine you if caught 🚫🍺. Overall, it’s a beautiful, calm spot to unwind and enjoy the serene side of Goa.

I truly love this beach...just 12 mins away from Colva beach...OMG Colvabeach was tooooo crowded & with locals...Cannot even wear a sleeveless dress...All were looking us strange things...So,was wondering to go where at that moment...then I suddenly found this beach...This beach is awesome...but it might filled with locals due to popularity in the future...But was toooo good now...Like other beaches in Goa...We could wear beachwears which was not possible in Colva beach...Had a peaceful waves only...very calm beach....😍😍😍

Benaulim Beach truly stands out as one of the best locations in South Goa for travelers seeking tranquility and genuine relaxation. Unlike the bustling Northern stretches, Benaulim offers a notably peaceful and serene atmosphere, making it a perfect escape. The crowds here are minimal, allowing for long, quiet walks along the pristine sands where you can actually hear the waves rather than loud music. The location is excellent, providing easy access while retaining that essential laid-back, "old Goa" charm that many visitors crave. It's a fantastic spot to simply unwind and soak up the Goan sun without the constant noise and rush.
The overall experience at Benaulim was overwhelmingly positive, supported by practical amenities that make a beach day stress-free. The beach is lined with a collection of genuinely nice shacks, offering comfortable seating, refreshing drinks, and delicious local food without being overly intrusive or pushy. Furthermore, for those driving, the availability of plenty of parking space right near the beach access points is a huge advantage and certainly adds to the convenience. While it’s slightly quieter than some might prefer if they’re looking for a party scene (which is why I'm giving it a strong 4 stars instead of 5), Benaulim Beach offers a wonderfully restful, good-value, and memorable day out. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and beautiful South Goa beach experience.

Beautiful beach with nice clean sand . It’s a long beach. One can walk or run on the beach from one end to another end . Luckily well mantained by the local panchayat, as there are no plastics or broken glass of left over liquor bottles on the beach as seen on various other beaches . Must visit site .

Probably the best beach experience we had in South Goa! We went in the morning around 8 and relaxed by the beach, which was largely empty and made it feel like a private beach experience. There are lots and lots of shells on the beach and we picked a handful of them with different colors and shades. Very beautiful and a must-visit in South Goa.

This is a really good beach, clean, scenic and less crowded post entrance area.
I would give it five star or more but due to dog attacks I am giving it less , there are safety issues on this beach especially early morning and post sunset due to group(15-20 dogs) of stray dogs.
Do keep in mind that there are lot of stray dogs who attack people once it gets dark , keep a stick incase chosing to stay till it gets dark or early morning.

Kadamba Shri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdisurla is a 12th-century Hindu temple located in the serene surroundings of the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. This architectural marvel is constructed without any binding between stones, maintaining cool interiors even in scorching temperatures. Believed to be the oldest shrine in Goa, it showcases Kadamba-Yadava architecture and is a significant attraction.
This is a fascinating destination for nature lovers, history lovers and the adventurers. As also those who are religious(primarily hindus) since they worship God in this temple. This monument has been declared to be of national importance. The journey to this location situated in the Mollem wildlife Sanctuary was breathtakingly beautiful with lush forests on both sides of the road. The road which connnects from the main road to the location was well maintained and was a pleasure to drive on. We started off from Mapusa and proceeded to Valpoi via Bicholim, proceeeded to Honda and took a right turn at Cotorem untill we reached a junction where we took a left turn. From here the temple is about 15 km. The road is straight and simple. The road is being widened at certain areas. If you continue going right for another 7 kms you ll reach Bondla Park and Zoo. It took us about 90 minutes or so to reach this destination. A charge of Rs 10 per person is charged by the Panchayat at the Mollem Sanctuary checkpost to take care of the Garbage as per their receipt. On the way there were ample opportunities to click beautiful pics with mother Nature. Upon arrival you are greeted with the locals selling fresh flowers to offer to the temple diety for 30 Rs a bunch. (Wrapped by a large leaf) an eco-sensitive move. There are a couple of eateries which serve you lime soda, softdrinks etc. Along with mirchi pav, kaapa, maggi noodles etc. There is a small bridge built over the stream and after a brief walk (100m) leads to the main temple arena. Chilled and hygienic drinking water is available. There is toilet facility. Car parking is ample but on weekends it could get a little crowded. In one corner of the area there this beautiful tree with Pajakta flowers(parijat) also known as night jasmine. It made a pretty sight. There is provision to light incense sticks. The structure of the temple is made up of Basalt rock and has multiple carvings which has been detailed by the ASI(Goa circle) in its information board at the entrance. This place would be worth visiting during rains however no swimming is permitted which can lead to fatalities. A warning board is seen to that effect. We were lucky to see small animals such as the cute monkeys who eat from your hand, monitor lizards and mongooses. we also saw a school, a health centre and a car workshop in this area. Looks like things are developing in this area. All in all this temple is a masterpiece of a carving dated to 12th or 13th sanctuary. While in Goa, put this destination on your travel list!

A very mystical temple with strong vibes. Situated in bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary the drive itself to the temple is serene. The temple is from 13th century and is maintained by ASI. Located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer wildlife sanctuary in Goa, Tamdi Surla Mahadev temple or Kadamba Shri Mahadev temple is a 13th century Kadamba dynasty temple. Legend say, Pandavas had built this temple even earlier to this period when the queen of Kadamba dynasty rebuilt this temple again.
The temple is located in dense forest along the river Surla and has a beautiful Kadamba style architecture.
Temple is very devine and has a spiritual aura with a beautiful carvings.
Post temple visit, pls do try the snaks from the locals outside the temple. They are lip smacking..!
Such a serene place this is. The vibe here is so calming and the environment feels perfect. Its a beautiful place and a must visit if you are a person who likes exploring Goa’s culture and heritage and want to witness a glorious site. And yes there are mini waterfalls around of which you can catch a glimpse but getting into water is not allowed.
One of best and peaceful place . The temple is small but the architecture was very old which tells a lot of history. Temple is located middle of the forest the road was good you can easily reach the temple no need to walk. It's better take one vechile or rental cars . Public transport is also available but only 1 time from Panjim to tamde surla that reaches 2:30 pm and will back After 2:30 again to Panjim . From madgaon also you'll get but you have to change 2 more bus . Madgoan to ponda to mollem from mollem you have to take bike on rental ( piolet) they will charge 250/- per person . Beside the temple there is small channal is there and the water is very clean looks like filter water . Temple was very neatly maintained . From temple arround 1km there was a water fall is also there but when we visited in that time it was closed due to some reason. In front of temple limited snacks shops are available the taste is very good. Overall my opinion is very good place visit with your family and friends.
Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla, is that of the Kadamba style, dated 13th Cent. It is reminiscent of the temples at Aihole Karnataka.
This temple was built with Basalt, carried here from the Deccan plateau. It is perhaps the only Kadamba architecture made in Basalt. It survived all types of invasions due to it being located deep in the forests at the foot of the western ghats.
Just our floundering luck, of being unable to see the inside of this Mahadev temple. First the premises were locked and after being opened for us to troop in, the temple was not accessible , since the priest wasn't there.

This temple is maintained by the archaeological survey of India and is as old as 12 or 13th century. Maintained well. The long drive through the jungle is an awesome experience. The deity is Lord Siva. No fuel station or any major refreshments facilities are available on your drive through the jungle. The place is calm and is considered one of the oldest temple in Goa.
Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple is the most ancient temple in the entire state of Goa. The temple, built in the Jain style, is a beautifully carved black basalt temple. The drive to the temple passes through jungles and lush green meadows. You will find small shacks selling tea/ coffee/biscuits, and flowers for the temple. The best times to visit are during the monsoon or winter seasons.

We travelled on 11th Oct 2025. Jeep safari had just opened a day before after the monsoon break. It's recommended to start the journey early we started at 8 am . It is a one hour journey by jeep to the waterfall. You will be given 90 minutes at the waterfall. Additional time can be spent at additional charges. It is the best time to visit as waterfall is in full flow post monsoon. Jeep can accomodate 7 pax . 600 rs per person or 4200 per jeep. Forest check point charge 250 which includes life jacket charges. Pls do not litter this beautiful natural paradise.
A must visit place for people seeking some adventure. You have to reach Kolem by your convenience. Then you’ll have to book local jeep that will take you near the waterfall which would take around 45min. Then there’s 5-10 minutes of hiking and you’ll see the beauty of nature. That’ll cost around Rs 850/- including the forest charges which is 250 Rs. You’ll also get a life jacket that’s included in 850 Rs. You’ll also can also swim in the waterfall.

You have option to go for hiking treking and jeep tour.
It takes 45mins to go by jeep from the forest gate.
Some places you cross the streams and full bumpy road for 45mins. You will be given 90 minutes to enjoy at the water falls. These jeep drivers charge waiting charges if you cross 90 mins.
Avoid if elders with back pain.
Also the water fall area doesn't have proper fencing support railing or any proper means to stand. Plenty of changing rooms but not maintained properly.
You have a life guard near the water falls.
Rocks are very skidy and be cautious.
Heavy Queue up to 3-4 hours for buying ticket, after ticket buy seat in their bolero around 45 min then you reach dudhsagar waterfall parking area… after that 10 min walking for dudhsagar waterfall, after seeing you feeling just wow… awesome location.. but time taken.
Writing down so that anyone who wants to go can have an easy trip.
Things to note:
You cannot take your personal vehicle after the ticket booking point in Kullem.
No shops inside, so take your water bottles with you.
The road is very very rocky. Anyone with back problems is adviced not to go.
You will need to pay a maintanence fee, its about 220 per person. Carry cash, they do not accept any digital payments.
Theres 3 ways to reach the actual falls.
The first 2 options are a trek. You can trek from Kullem or Castle Rock. The trek from Castle Rock is almost a whole days worth trek and you will need a guide. The one from Kullem is about half a days worth. The roads to reach there are also very muddy mostly because of jeeps that keep crossing the road.
I personally would not recommend the trek because it's not very scenic, the roads are bad to non existent and is dangerous in general, especially from Castle Rock. And you can't take a jeep back from there either because jeeps already have their passengers pre-booked from the ticket point. The only advantage of the trek is that you can stay at the falls as long as you want.
The third way is to book a jeep. Best way imo. They run non stop from the ticket point. It's 500 person(on top the maintanence fee). They'll drop you at the final leg, from there you have to trek for 10mins. A very simple trek. You get 1.5 hours at the falls. Enough to see whatever the falls has to offer.
It’s an easy to moderate trek for around 11.5 kms one way…the view is not much what we expected but was okish. The guide will force you to take the train track route but please make sure you take the forest route for better view and experience.
There are Two ways to Explore the Mighty Falls, one in by Trek and other is Jeep safari which is 4200 per jeep (Rs.700/- per Head) if you are less then 7 you can share with others. By Trek is very difficult for Inexperience, its took 3 hours up and 3 hours down total of 6 Hours Walk. Forest Entry Ticket is Rs.250/- per person. Jeep Travel time is 45 Min up and 45 min Down. They Gave you 1.30 Hours for bath in Falls if waterflow is low. The 1.30 hours time is not enough for everyone because we cant get out of the falls due to its carry such joy and wild experience, they gave you life jackets so don't worry about if you not know to swim. Overall I highly recommend everyone must visit this Falls once you are in GOA. Timing 9.0 am to 3.0 pm. Checkpost is walkable from Kulem Railway Station, which is 30 min from Madgoan Junction.

Probably hidden gem of the south Goa!
Galgibaga beach is among the few beaches of Goa wherein you will not find tourists. This is mainly because there are no water sports or shacks on this beach. This beach is the nesting place for sea turtles. The beach is a paradise for people who wish to enjoy the sand, sea and sky in its serene form. Just lie down on your mat and gaze the open sea or read a book while enjoying the sound of waves breaking in a distance. The approach to the beach is very convenient though I had a struggle with Google Maps as it was not showing the correct direction (probably because few people visit this beach). It is recommended to park your vehicle below the fly over, though, there is a small parking space a little inside from the highway. The beach has been maintained in its pristine form and if you are planning to visit the beach I urge you to maintain the cleanliness.

Galjibaga Beach is a hidden gem with crystal-clear waters and untouched natural beauty. A local friend recommended it, and I’m so glad they did! It’s not crowded or commercial — just pure, peaceful nature. We spotted sea shells 🐚 , tiny crabs 🦀 houses, and even learned it’s known as a turtle 🐢 nesting site. After a few scenic photos, we put our phones away and just soaked in the serenity.
A perfect escape from the usual tourist buzz.

I didn't stay there. We went for a day outing to see the Spices at the farm. It's a generation old forest, full off native Indian and some other spices. They serve a welcome drink and then give you a tour with all the information and history you need ! It's great. The food they serve is healthy and freshly made, must have that too after your tour. And they also have a souvenir shop where you can buy all the spices and different amazing products made out of them.

Tanshikar Spice Farm is a truly delightful place to stay. The eco-friendly hut set right in the heart of the jungle offers a peaceful and immersive nature experience. The food was excellent — fresh, flavourful, and prepared with spices grown on the farm.
Birding around the property was wonderful, with many species visible throughout the day. The night safari with owner of property Chinmay Tanshikar and Sahil the naturalist there ,was the highlight of our trip — we spotted a Slender Loris and five species of snakes, making it an unforgettable wildlife experience.

I went for a farm tour and farm to table lunch. It was a great learning experience, we got to try different kinds of spices and coffee. The food was equally good, do try the chocolate mousse. Mr.Tanshikar was kind enough to give us a tour of his house as well and teach us about the benefits of mud houses and how we should go about living a slow peaceful life in sync with the nature.
We had a wonderful time here. Even the journey to the spice farm is magnificent. What we learned about spices here was very informative and interesting. We were able to marvel at the owner's ancient mud house and gained a fantastic insight into the beautiful natural surroundings. The thali, prepared with local ingredients, was delicious. The shop is also magnificent. For little money, you can get exclusive, high-quality products here: spices, honey, chocolate, and coffee varieties we had never seen before. A unique experience for all the senses. An experience you will never forget. Thank you very much, dear friends.

Avoid this resort at all costs!!This place is a complete scam. They lure people in with positive reviews and photos of a different resort, but when we arrived, they shifted us to another property called *Wildernest* without any prior notice. When we questioned them, they gave a vague excuse, claiming they assign resorts based on "availability."
Since we reached late at night, we had no choice but to stay. The resort we were sent to was poorly maintained, none of the promised activities were available, and the worst part — they served the *same food* for all three days!
If you value your time and money, do not book this resort. It completely ruined our vacation experience.
This resort is very good for families and couples. It is also good for students to enjoy your holidays. They provides good service and they have great hospitality service. We have enjoyed a lot in the resort. I had recently visited with my family of 12. Great service and rooms was clean and hygienic. They served hot 3 meals with veg and non veg food it was so tasty and yummy. Staff were friendly and polite. The adventure activities was good. Don't miss river rafting it's one of the most famous adventure activities in dandeli. It's was good and thrilling. We loved it. Highly recommended to visit a wonderful place.

I visited here on 20-Apr-2025. Serene place. Parking available. 80 rupees per person. There is a small stall where you can get water and other stuff. From parking to the view point there are steps, climbing upstairs will be a little breathtaking so do have water in hand. One of the best places to visit in Dandeli. Some people do park their vehicle at the ticked counter and tend to walk, trust me it’s doing to be tiring better take your vehicle till the parking place.

It's a wonderful heaven-like place. You can see various types of rock elements in one giant Syntheri rock. The beauty the rock has with underwater has a great impression.

At a distance of 31 km from Dandeli and 16 km from Ulavi, Syntheri Rock is monolithic granite structure with a height of 300 feet, which is located in the dense forests of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. It is one of the top Dandeli tourist places to visit.
Syntheri Rock is a huge, massive limestone rock formed due to volcanic eruptions some million years ago. It is named after an English lady called Ms. Cinthera who is believed to have discovered this place in 20th century. River Kaneri passes along the side of this rock. Owing to the flow of the river from the vicinity, erosion has resulted in the rocks getting hollowed. The corners of this rock cave are inhabited by numerous pigeons and honeybees.
Entry to the venue is controlled by forest department. The site can be reached either by jeep or by walk through the dense forest from the entrance. At the entrance visitors need to pay nominal entry fee and vehicles can go up to the parking area from where visitors need to climb down to reach the base.
There is a 15-20 minute walk from the vehicle parking to the rock. A flight of 200 odd steps downwards lead you to the base. The steps are very steep and various types of rocks found in the forest are displayed along the steps.

Unkal Lake is a popular and well-maintained spot in Hubli, ideal for picnics, walks, and quality family time. The lake is large, complemented by a clean garden, playground, and walking pavements right at the entrance. Entry is a nominal ₹10 per person, and car parking is conveniently available in front. While the lake itself is well-maintained with regular de-weeding and attractive new fountains with lights, it's disheartening to see visitors still scattering garbage and plastic, despite efforts to keep it litter-free. A great place to relax, if visitors contribute to its cleanliness.
A great place to spend time with family and friends! The Unkal Lake and garder is the place where you can find real peace and happiness. The place is totally covered with greenery and we can see many view points there so that we can enjoy the lake view from there and can feel the atmosphere.
The lake and garden is really wonderful but I suggest to maintain the Unkal Lake more as the water seems to be polluted, and also request each and everyone (including me) to maintain the place and follow the rules so that the lake and garden look better and it's our own responsibility to maintain our area and surroundings clean including public parks, gardens and more.
My overall experience was pretty good and I really enjoyed a lot.
Most recommended garden to visit for the one who are new to Hubballi, and i recommend those too who haven't visited this place.
There are even many more kids playable area so that kids can enjoy and have fun. Best walking trails are available for morning and evening walks and you'll really enjoy it.
Huge Parking facility is also available vehicle parking.
The ticket is Rs.10 per person and Rs.5 for vehicle (the day I visited). * Online Payment Option is not available. ** No entry ticket and vehicle parking ticket were provided by the ticket counter agent, who was unresponsive.*

Great place for walkers and jogger’s . We could only make 1/4th round of the entire lake . According to the security of the lake the entire periphery of the lake is about 6.5 kms . The lake closes at 07:00 pm . If you are planning to cover the entire round then have ample time before you take the full circle.
The lake is just next to Hotel naveen . The pavement have been well laid . There are lights out along the track so that the move may be smooth . There is a sun set view point at the enterance at a heightened location . There is an eatery/restaurant at the entrance where you can grab snack before you set out for walking . Entrance fee is 10/- and parking fee is also 10/- . If you are in Hubballi and not sure where to go in the evening then this is a good place to explore .
I am a resident of Jaipur and have been visiting lake for long walks ever since childhood. I have seen people from all walks of life come to lake for morning and evening walks. I like to walk the talk here with friends and family. The environment of the lake is very conducive for deep introspection. Watching the sunrise or sunset gives me an exhilarating experience and makes me feel one with God and Nature. Of late you can see the water shimmering like silver if you go around 5:30 or 6:00 pm and makes the whole area look so calm and serene and beautiful. At the other end of the lake there is now a Buddha Park with a very beautiful calm and serene statue of Lord Buddha in sitting pose. At the entrance you will find the lake club, restaurant, lots of vendors selling eatables, and a big play zone for kids where you can enjoy with kids. Also, there are ducks in the lake which you can feed or go for a boat ride. There are plenty of things to do here. It has become an activity centre for people. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Agadi Thota is a perfect destination to enjoy the real rural beauty and culture of North Karnataka. The farm is well maintained, calm and quiet in lush green surroundings.
The activities provided are enjoyable for all age groups. From bullock cart ride, pottery making, boating, rain dance and many others. But mind you they only provide the structure you have to do everything yourself.

One can walk down the river bed with the lingas all around, presenting a stunning site. But sad to see people not respecing the sanctity of the place by taking baths and washing clothes in the river right next to the lingas, which is a sad sight. The Government must ensure such things don't happen.
But definitely a must visit place, which reveals India's rich and mysterious history.

Really peaceful spot surrounded by trees and a beautiful river view. The stairs take you right down close to the water ane shivalimgas, and the whole vibe is super calming. Perfect for a short walk, some quiet time, or just soaking in the natural beauty.
Just a heads-up: try not to visit during the rainy season — the steps can get slippery and the water level rises, which makes it a bit tricky to explore safely.
Lingas r beautiful although we could see only few as river was full of water. Don't forget to visit the hanging bridge. Staff there is helpful. Public toilet available but not very clean esp for females.

Sahasralinga is truly a hidden gem near Sirsi. The riverbed is filled with beautifully carved Shiva Lingas and Nandi statues, all set against the serene flow of the Shalmala River. It’s a spiritually uplifting experience to see the natural jalabhisheka as the river flows over the Lingas.
Best time to visit is post-monsoon or during winter when the water level is low and you can see most of the carvings clearly. The surroundings are calm and green, perfect for a peaceful getaway or family trip. No entry fee, but it’s important to keep the place clean and respect the sanctity.

Visited temple post our trek. Its an ancient temple with a history of 1800 years. This temple has been established in 2nd century. Over the period of times multiple rulers have developed this temple. This temple is of Lord Shiva. Temple of Goddess Parvati is also been established inside the temple premises. The main attraction is the Nandi statue which has been made in a such a way that its one eye is looking at Lord Shiva & another eye is looking Goddess Parvati. The architectural design is amazing.
Temple also has many small temples inside the premises.
Temple has to be Maintained properly by the government.

First capital for Karnataka during ancient days. Many idols have undergone attack but still standing tall. The temple is located around 800m from the bus stand. People taking buses need to get an auto to reach temple. Inside the region one can experience the rich cultural heritage of Kadamba dynasty. The pillars and moorties are very artistically built in those very ancient years. Great piece of abilities from sculptors. There is daily anna prasada. So people can have lunch. There is a small Balaji temple outside nicely built. If no rains one can visit Varada river bank which is 500m from temple.

Ancient temple with lot of art works, but poorly maintained by government undertaking. Even the crowd that comes in is noisy and with zero sensibility, spoils the artefacts. The temple needs a good maintenance to keep up the serenity of temple and history.
I visited here on 23 March, 2025. Nice place to visit for a day trip. It was scorching heat. One of the biggest Nandi sculpture I have ever seen till date.

Awesome 👌 place to visit. Very good for Photography. It will take 4 to 6 hours to comfortably cover with Photography stops. Carry some water and umbrella if raining. There is small food store for water, cold drink, ice cream, chips, biscuit etc. Also there are restroom inside. Ticket is 20 per head. Full of greenery. There are steps to climb up, but not very difficult. Enjoy while inside. Place is well maintained. As you go up, weather become pleasant and windy. View awseome. Parking is there outside fort. Guides available. Very recommend.

Beautiful fort, can walk easily all over. Must visit Onake Obavva kindi. Best time is to visit in the morning when sun is not too sharp. We visited late September when sky is still cloudy and has fresh cool breeze so you won't feel tired and can walk till the end.

The great King Veera Madakari Nayaka rolled fort. This fort made of full of rocks, very beautiful place for one day trip. Located near NH 04. One brave lady called Onake Obavva lived here, she alonly killed hundreds of Hidarali's soldiers.
Its a beautiful historical place which gives lowkey hampi vibes. Very less travellers visit here, you need a full day to explore the fort and surroundings. Better to take a guide to understand the historical importance of each part of the fort

If you are physically fit it will take you around 25 mins to climb the mountain but the view, energy and every step was so worth it. I hope I come here again and again. If you have some one who can’t climb the mountain you can ask for doli at main office. The dharshan is worth it.

Nice place but "We" didn't maintain it well.
Full of plastic covers, papers, and garbage near the swimming area. You feel bad after seeing it.
But it is near the temple so you can visit once.
If you want, you can swim. Nobody will ask you over there.

Highly crowded place during weekends.
Many people have spoiled the place by leaving plastic and glass bottles.
Glass pieces will be found inside and outside the water, so please be careful while swimming.
Don't walk in barefoot.
There is a temple inside the water in the centre of the lake.
Water will be present throughout the year.
Best place for sunset view.
Depth of this lake is not yet been know. Many people have died who tried to know the depth.
This place is well known for its history.
Please do avoid leaving plastic, bottles and any waste.
This lake get closed before 5.. so visit atleast one hour before, so u can enjoy playing in lake. Playing in lake is fun.
It is not maintained well, all the bottles and glass pieces and rubbish is everywhere. While walking barefoot u need to be careful due to broken glass pieces.

A very calm place , beautiful scenery but it's not well maintained. The locals there make a mess , bottles and packets everywhere. It's safe and better to go in a group as there may be some drunks partying there . The place is great but the people not so much.
Way too crowded, people are cooking half naked sweating and drinking alcohol
It’s very ugly to watch the shore become full of garbage and slowly the water is also getting dirtier

Sula Vineyard is a delightful destination for wine lovers, families, and travelers looking for a relaxing experience amidst scenic greenery. Located slightly off the main highway, it requires a short drive through an internal road, but the journey is smooth and well-marked with signs, ensuring easy access without confusion. The little detour actually adds to the charm, giving the feeling of truly escaping into nature.
Upon arrival, you’ll find ample parking space, which is very convenient — even during weekends or holidays, parking here is hassle-free. The open parking lot is well-organized, safe, and very close to the entrance, which makes visiting with kids or elderly family members stress-free.
The entry fee is clearly stated at ₹600 per person, which includes a guided wine tasting session and a short tour of the vineyard and winery. A great point for families is that children below a certain age are allowed free entry (although naturally, they cannot participate in the wine tasting), making it a family-friendly place despite its focus on wine.
The wine tasting tour is structured and accessible even for beginners. A knowledgeable guide walks visitors through the basic steps of wine production — from grape harvesting, fermentation, aging, and bottling. You get an easy-to-follow overview of how Sula produces its different wines. The tasting itself includes a sampling of several wines (typically around 5–6 types), and the staff explains the tasting notes, aromas, and characteristics of each variety in a simple and engaging manner. The session doesn’t feel rushed, and even those new to wine will find it enjoyable and informative without being too technical or intimidating.
Once the tour is over, you can head to the in-house restaurant, which is a highlight in itself. The food is genuinely very good — well-prepared, fresh, and served in generous portions. The menu offers a great range of options, including wood-fired pizzas, flavorful pastas, continental favorites, and a few Indian dishes. There are also wine-pairing suggestions on the menu, which is a nice touch for those who want to continue the wine experience with their meal. The dining area overlooks the vineyards, offering a serene view that's perfect for a leisurely lunch or early dinner. The ambiance is casual yet tasteful, making it comfortable for both families and couples.
The overall setting of the vineyard is beautiful and relaxing. You can take a stroll among the vineyards, click some great photos, or simply sit and enjoy the peaceful vibe. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to offer visitors a genuine vineyard experience without being overly commercialized.

Overall a nice experience. It's a day trip as this place is quite far off from the Bangalore main city. The ticket price has reimbursement via Wine Tour and Tastings! They could have allowed us more time in the Vineyards to explore the grapes. Overall nice experience! The guided tour costs 600 per head.
Good place for a day outing about 80 Kms frm bangalore (HSR Layout).
Cover charge now increased to 800/ person from earlier Rs. 600/ person. Note that this can be set off against purchases made / services taken ( wine tour , wine tasting).
Good selection of wine (red & white) including their upmarket ranges - Source & Rasa which otherwise is not usually found in shops in Bnglr.
The winetasting & tour guide Tanish was very courteous & helpful apart from being knowledgable about most things to do with wine.
We tasted about 6 different wine varieties, 2 sparkling, 2 red & 2 whites
be prepared for a slightly warm weather at chanapatna as compared to Bamgalore.
Given the long weekend, we didnt face much of traffic heading out or returning to bangalore.
Food was ok & given the price charges nothing much to talk about... we ordered the nachos, pasta, few indian dishes... paid close to 3k for 4 pax.
A decent experience with brief tour on wine making process and vineyards. Best time to visit is before March as per the crew, as harvest time was complete before we visited and not much grapes were in the vineyards. Explanation and wine tasting were good. Many places for photoshoot. They have grape stomping as well. Overall, a half day experience with fun away from the daily chores. Not much offers (except nominal discounts in bulk purchase) on their wines. It could be improved with more interactive and entertaining tour and tasting.

Ambience - Good for a day outing, has ample parking space. Paid Wine tour, wine shop and other souvenirs sold at their store.
Good place to just relax take some funky pictures and enjoy the silence.
Service - Is good, kept place clean and green 💚.
Kitchen - While you need to try 🍷 and 🧀 here there are other options of multi cuisine food also served. Place is a little over priced but for a day to just beat the monotony good place to relax and have some decent food and drinks.
It was very interesting and enjoyable to learn how wine is made. This is a small vineyard though but it was pretty. The wine tasting was great and there's a gift shop too.
The restaurant inside is very bad though, the food tasted like nothing, there were many houseflies and when asked to clean they did the bare minimum and just shrugged their shoulders.
So overall if you visit here just buy a bottle of wine from their shop and go somewhere else to dine, this place isn't worth it that way. I am reducing 2 stars just for the worst dining experience I've ever had
The vineyard is quite small, so there isn’t much to explore. It’s fine to stop by if it’s along your route, but not really worth a full-day visit. There’s not much to do, and while the weekday entry fee is reasonable, weekends feel overpriced. Food is also on the expensive side, and the vineyard tour requires an additional payment (though part of it is adjusted against the entry pass).
We booked tickets for Domaine Sula Vineyard at ₹600 each. ₹200 covered the vineyard and factory tour, and ₹400 was for optional wine tasting, which could also be redeemed for food or wine.
The tour lasted around 15-20 minutes, and the guide explained everything well. However, we were disappointed to find out that there were no grapes in the vineyard since all the grapes had already been harvested.
It was quite a letdown. We felt they should have clearly mentioned the grape season on their website or while booking, so visitors would know what to expect.
During the tour, the guide explained the process of how the grapes are grown and harvested over the months.
The wine tasting session was good— we tasted six different wines, and the guide explained their taste, smell, and ingredients. This helped us choose which wine to purchase.
Overall, it was an average experience. If we had known about the grape season and the overall experience beforehand, we wouldn’t have travelled over 100 km just for this.
