My native place sawantwadi, the sculpture of tutari in the midst of the moti lake is made by my uncle Mr. Gangaram Baburao Sawant (Kaka Sawant). Not a single time I miss going to this place, when I visit my native place. Best place, where you can take a whole lot of selfies with your friends and family.
One of the best place in Sawantwadi to be with your friends, family and loved ones. The Climate is really cool and pleasant at this location to be around at Moti Talao. We do have our Turmerica Outlet a Family Resturant at this location. Please do visit once at Turmerica Outlet once to have tasty Veg. Food. Have uploaded the few evening pics of the same.

Amboli waterfalls are a delight during monsoon period. Though there is the MAIN Amboli waterfall, the entire route is dotted with number of waterfalls to get mesmerized. During peak monsoon you also get to enjoy thick cloud cover. After the rains the entire valley comes alive with water jetting out from several places. It has become a big attraction and has become quite crowded in recent years. Hence, if you really want to enjoy the bounty of nature then you should visit the place early in the morning. During monsoon, as the place comes alive, many road site eateries also come into being selling tea, coffe, maggie, sweet corns, fritter (pakora) etc. As the day progresses getting parking space becomes a challenge. Their are police men trying to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and restricting people to park on the side of the road. Government has come up with a toilet complex which is a great boon for the visitors. It rains heavely and rain wear is highly recommended. I also strongly suggest to carry extra clothing as the excitement pulls people to get soaked under the waterfall(s). Amboli is a must visit place during monsoon.

We visited Amboil Waterfalls ,it looked really beautiful and peaceful. The sound of the flowing water and the surrounding greenery made the place very relaxing. On the way to Amboli, we could see lots of small waterfalls, which made the journey even more scenic. The route is a bit rough, but the view is totally worth it.

Amboli Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful spots in the Western Ghats, especially during the monsoon. The waterfall is majestic, the greenery all around is breathtaking, and the cool mist in the air makes the whole experience refreshing. 🌿💧
However, one big concern is cleanliness on the roadside and surrounding areas. Many tourists leave behind plastic bottles, food wrappers, and garbage, which spoils the natural beauty. The local authorities and visitors both need to be more responsible to maintain the charm of this place.

Very thrilling and beautiful place specifically in Rainey days. Unforgettable and wondering ghat place. Smoggy, water sprinkling, there is no words for its stunning looks. But very rush and have to wear rainkot or jackets and must take food with you.

Arambol beach is not as good as people say online. I visited Arambol Beach in July during the monsoon after seeing so many good reviews. But honestly, it was very disappointing. The beach is way up north, so it takes a long time to reach if you’re staying in Candolim area or Central Goa.
The road to the beach is also in bad condition, full of potholes. For a state that depends so much on tourism, decent roads is a minimum requirement.
They charge 100 rupees for car parking. I don’t mind paying, but the parking area should be proper. It was not well maintained at all.
When I reached the beach, I was shocked. It was dirty. There were plastic bottles and trash. Tourists should act more responsibly, but it also seems like the local municipality doesn’t maintain it at all.
Don’t trust the online reviews blindly. Not worth visiting this beach.

We reached in time to catch the sunset, and it was absolutely stunning—the sky painted in warm hues, the waves shimmering below, and the cool breeze wrapping it all together. It’s the kind of view that stays with you.
Do note: the fort closes by 5 PM, so plan your visit accordingly to soak in the sunset from the top.

The coastal defence planning, particularly at an estuary (a place where a river enters the sea) from the 14th to 15th century onwards, called for the construction of a fort.
Such a fort not only offered protection to the coastal areas, but more importantly, it also insulated inland areas from enemy attacks by denying the enemy inland entry through the river. Based on the same doctrine, Chapora Fort is strategically located on a high hill feature on the southern bank of the Chapora estuary.
Fort has an all-around clear view from its commanding height.
The complete hillside and the fort are surrounded by lush greenery and look beautiful. The view from the fort is simply amazing.
For the fort, full marks for its scenic beauty and the amazing 360-degree view it offers of the surroundings.
What is wrong is the neglect by the civic authorities.
Signage giving direction to the fort and to the parking areas is woefully inadequate. Parking areas need better management. At the fort itself, the Signage, the information boards are totally faded and can not be read. Fort also needs to be provided with strategically located small gazebo-like shelters where visitors can relax in the shade or be protected from the rain.
Ruins of the fort, calm and beautiful with a great view of the ocean. It can be maintained and cledned a bit more properly. Rest it is all famous for that dil chahta hai pose where that picture can be clicked. Overall a good place to hang out and chill in calmness and silence. Have a very small hike of 5 mins and you're there.

There is not much to see in the terms of the fort in my opinion, but the view is really amazing.
It's one of the highest places that can be easily climbed through a few flights of stairs.
Nothing much to do other than just look around
Beautiful place with a picturesque view of a Arabian Sea. This beach is hardly 2 kms from Chapora Fort. You have to walk uphill to this fort but in the way various small juice shops having chairs are there where you can rest and go. Paid parking available. Prices at the shops here are more or less same as other street shops in Goa. After parking your vehicle, drink one coconut water and then proceed for the fort climb as it really gives you energy.
Chapora Fort offers a decent viewpoint after a short climb of around 50–70 steps. The view from the top is quite scenic, especially if you enjoy nature and open landscapes. However, the condition of the fort itself is very poor. Most of the walls are either collapsed or in ruins, and there’s been almost no maintenance, which is disappointing for such a historic site.
A helpful tip: carry a water bottle with you. The climb, though not very long, can be tiring, especially in the heat. Staying hydrated is important.
Despite the lack of upkeep at the fort, our visit was made special by a lovely local lady (Aai). She was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She offered us freshly made limbu pani (lemonade) and genuinely asked about our well-being. It was a heartwarming moment and the highlight of our visit.
If you’re visiting Chapora Fort, don’t miss stopping by Aai’s small refreshment stall. It’s a simple but memorable experience that adds a touch of local warmth to the trip.
Also known as the "Dil Chahta Hai" Fort, it is famous for filming the widely popular movie "Dil Chahta Hai". The Fort itself is in ruins but provides breath-taking views of Vagator and Ozran beaches. You have to hike for 120 steps to reach the fort, but the climb is completely worth it. Enjoy amazing views and sit and chill with your friends, family or loved ones. The sunset views from the top of the fort are amazing. Entry is completely free and there are no tickets. However, you have to pay 30 INR for parking your scooters. Parking is available for cars as well.
I visited Chapora Fort with two other friends, just like in the film, and it was a memorable experience! The key thing to note is that there is no fort now, only ruins are there. What remains are the strong, laterite walls and a large open space on the hill top.
The journey up requires you to climb the steps to reach the ruins of the fort.
The real attraction that makes the visit worthwhile is the sea view—it is absolutely stunning. You get a clear, panoramic vista overlooking Vagator and Morjim beaches and the entire Chapora River estuary meeting the Arabian Sea.
I highly recommend visiting in the evening so you can watch the sunset as well. If you can watch it, it will be a wonderful experience and absolutely worth visiting. There are small shops at the base that offer water and other refreshment drinks, but, like every other tourist place, they felt a little bit overpriced. Go for the view and the nostalgia, and you won't be disappointed!

Great beach to enjoy a peaceful evening and stunning sunset views. The waves come very close to the shore, which makes it scenic but not very safe for swimming. Best time to visit is during pleasant weather, as it’s not recommended in the monsoon due to strong tides. Perfect for sunset photography, relaxing walks, and soaking in the coastal vibes.
I recently visited this beach with the hope of enjoying a relaxing day by the sea, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing for several reasons.
The beach feels extremely congested. The number of shacks, restaurants, and bars set up right along the shoreline leaves very little open space to actually enjoy the beach or its views. There's hardly any breathing room, and it’s difficult to find a peaceful spot to sit and relax. It seems like every inch of the beach is commercialized, which seriously takes away from the natural charm and openness you'd typically expect at a beach.
Another downside was the constant pestering from locals trying to sell water sports activities. While it's understandable that water sports are a part of the beach economy, it becomes frustrating when you’re approached every few minutes, even after politely declining. It really disrupts the peace and makes it hard to enjoy your time.
Most of the restaurants and beach shacks are quite overpriced, especially for the quality and portion size offered. Even basic refreshments or snacks are charged at premium rates, which seems to be targeting tourists rather than offering fair value. If you're planning to spend a day here, be prepared for high prices without necessarily getting a premium experience.
I went to Anjuna beach early morning and evening. I would say if you need less crowd and play in water it’s better to go in the early morning around 6.30Am and If you need good music and enjoy drinks then go in the evening!
Anjuna Beach has a unique charm — a perfect blend of rocky coastline, calm vibes, and bohemian culture. It’s the ideal spot if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the busier beaches in Goa.
Take the main road and not the roads which goes from the village. We almost got lost out in nowhere the Google maps can be wrong in such a place. So take the road which are used by most peoples. The beach was very pretty. Saw the most beautiful sunset.
Not a clean beach. Other beaches like Calangute are better. Baga is also good but too much of crowd. These are all in North Goa
Rocky choppy waters.

Avoid Speed boat Ride there which is a loot.
Be careful going to the beach from Baga or Calangute if you are drunk. Police check point near Anjuna police station which is marked up in the map.
Pay attention to where you park or may have to take a long walk .

In September this beach is quite empty but that's the plus point as it becomes so peaceful and beautiful. Nice breeze and very much clean. Yuy can spend more time with you sitting at the shore. Very less people come to visit this beach ⛱️ as water sports activities are closed. So if you need some peace, you can definately come to visit.
Very nice beach in Goa. Safety seems to be their main focus which is very nice to see. Shopping outside beach is Plenty and you will get similar feels in every shop so no point in haggling

Amazingly beautiful church! As per the available history, a small church was built in the year 1510 to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese over the muslim army that ruled the area. Later a new church was planned for construction on the remains of this church. The constitution was started in 1562 and completed in 1619, but the church was was consecrated only in 1640. A must visit place if you are in Goa. The church has dress code for entry. It seems they want to restrict a purely sight seeing visit inside the Church devoid of any respect or devotion.

In a country where even the neighbourhood veggie cart takes digital payment, this seemed odd. A religious site could have even offered me (a single person) to go gratis, but that was not to happen.

A good guided trip in the plantation to understand the different spices, their tree and usage. The garden is well maintained. Entry fee is Rs. 500/- that includes food and tour. They have their own store for selling spices and some byproducts. Considering the charges, veg food was not up to the mark.
Spent the afternoon at this beautiful farm, and it was nothing short of magical. The wooden bridge over the creek was so beautiful. We were surrounded by nature, and enjoyed an incredible buffet made by the locals and an insightful and informative guided tour that brought the stories of all spices to life.
It was truly an authentic experience, peaceful, grounding, and full of charm. The perfect escape from the usual. Highly recommend!
A beautiful spot in Goa that everyone should experience!
I visited with my family on October 4th, 2025. The entry fee was ₹500 per person, which included a decent buffet lunch with fish and chicken dishes. Truly worth it for the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
An awesome revelation of how the spice, herb and other tropical plants and trees are grown. We were welcomed with a fabulous ready drink Solkadhi, a soothing, digestive drink made from kokum and were even offered lunch upon our reluctant leaving of the plantation. Overwhelmed at the counter which had plenty of seeds to sell thankfully, since I wasn't going to leave without them either.
Best spot for family visit. Food is unlimited and tasty. Both Veg and Nonveg options available. Staff is very cooperative and gave nice information about all the spices plants they have.
Wonderful experience at this scenic plantation. Although it is a 100 acre private property, we tour a small part of it with a guide that teaches us the therapeutic, cooking properties of the various plants grown there. We’re also served a welcome refreshing hot clear tea at entry followed by a varied sumptuous lunch buffet prior to the tour. The entry fee of Rs. 500 is worth it. There is a small shop at the site where you can purchase fragrant oils, pure Feni, and spices. Highly recommend visiting this spot if you’re a nature lover, spice enthusiast, or just looking for something other than beaches in Goa.
Really enjoyed this trip today, recommended to us by our taxi driver whilst on holiday. We travelled a 4hr round trip to experience it and dont consider the time wasted at all. The guide was excellent, very informative with excellent English. The location is stunning. The entry included a meal which we both found was exceptional, my wife is very fussy and vegetarian and she had 2 servings. Would highly recommend it to anybody that wants to experience something unique.

It’s a way better choice than the commercialized beaches in the south region. Suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking a quiet retreat. The beach provides picturesque sunset views, enhancing its appeal for evening visits. The beach has fewer shacks and shops compared to more tourist heavy areas. Overall it’s a must visit beach for first time travelers to Goa. One downside being there is no public transport to this beach.

Totally, totally worth visiting Betalbatim Beach! I was staying near Benaulim, and it was hardly 2 km away. This place is absolutely beautiful — calm, clean, and not at all crowded. It’s a perfect spot if you want to swim or just relax peacefully.
One thing to note: avoid going at night, as the way is quite dark and the area isn’t very crowded, so it’s better to visit during the day. For girls, it’s a very comfortable and safe beach — you can wear whatever you like and just enjoy freely. I stayed for 3 days nearby and had an amazing time. You’ll also find many friendly foreigners around.
Definitely a must-visit beach in South Goa — peaceful, free, and totally worth it! 🌊✨
Beach sand is different when compared to other beaches around. They have good party places near beach. The bioluminescence thingy was not visible eve though we visited in best time of occurrence.

Kadamba Shri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdisurla is a 12th-century Hindu temple located in the serene surroundings of the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. This architectural marvel is constructed without any binding between stones, maintaining cool interiors even in scorching temperatures. Believed to be the oldest shrine in Goa, it showcases Kadamba-Yadava architecture and is a significant attraction.
This is a fascinating destination for nature lovers, history lovers and the adventurers. As also those who are religious(primarily hindus) since they worship God in this temple. This monument has been declared to be of national importance. The journey to this location situated in the Mollem wildlife Sanctuary was breathtakingly beautiful with lush forests on both sides of the road. The road which connnects from the main road to the location was well maintained and was a pleasure to drive on. We started off from Mapusa and proceeded to Valpoi via Bicholim, proceeeded to Honda and took a right turn at Cotorem untill we reached a junction where we took a left turn. From here the temple is about 15 km. The road is straight and simple. The road is being widened at certain areas. If you continue going right for another 7 kms you ll reach Bondla Park and Zoo. It took us about 90 minutes or so to reach this destination. A charge of Rs 10 per person is charged by the Panchayat at the Mollem Sanctuary checkpost to take care of the Garbage as per their receipt. On the way there were ample opportunities to click beautiful pics with mother Nature. Upon arrival you are greeted with the locals selling fresh flowers to offer to the temple diety for 30 Rs a bunch. (Wrapped by a large leaf) an eco-sensitive move. There are a couple of eateries which serve you lime soda, softdrinks etc. Along with mirchi pav, kaapa, maggi noodles etc. There is a small bridge built over the stream and after a brief walk (100m) leads to the main temple arena. Chilled and hygienic drinking water is available. There is toilet facility. Car parking is ample but on weekends it could get a little crowded. In one corner of the area there this beautiful tree with Pajakta flowers(parijat) also known as night jasmine. It made a pretty sight. There is provision to light incense sticks. The structure of the temple is made up of Basalt rock and has multiple carvings which has been detailed by the ASI(Goa circle) in its information board at the entrance. This place would be worth visiting during rains however no swimming is permitted which can lead to fatalities. A warning board is seen to that effect. We were lucky to see small animals such as the cute monkeys who eat from your hand, monitor lizards and mongooses. we also saw a school, a health centre and a car workshop in this area. Looks like things are developing in this area. All in all this temple is a masterpiece of a carving dated to 12th or 13th sanctuary. While in Goa, put this destination on your travel list!

A very mystical temple with strong vibes. Situated in bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary the drive itself to the temple is serene. The temple is from 13th century and is maintained by ASI. Located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer wildlife sanctuary in Goa, Tamdi Surla Mahadev temple or Kadamba Shri Mahadev temple is a 13th century Kadamba dynasty temple. Legend say, Pandavas had built this temple even earlier to this period when the queen of Kadamba dynasty rebuilt this temple again.
The temple is located in dense forest along the river Surla and has a beautiful Kadamba style architecture.
Temple is very devine and has a spiritual aura with a beautiful carvings.
Post temple visit, pls do try the snaks from the locals outside the temple. They are lip smacking..!
My Experience at Tambdi Surla Temple
Visiting the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple was a truly enchanting experience — a perfect blend of spirituality, history, and nature. Hidden deep within the lush forests of the Western Ghats, the temple felt like a timeless treasure untouched by the modern world. As I walked along the narrow path surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sound of a flowing stream, I could already sense the sacred energy of the place.
The moment I saw the temple, I was mesmerized. Built entirely out of black basalt stone, every inch of it is adorned with intricate carvings that tell ancient stories of devotion and craftsmanship. The cool stone walls and the soft fragrance of incense inside the sanctum created a divine peace that’s hard to describe in words. The sight of the Shiva Lingam and the majestic Nandi facing it filled me with a deep sense of reverence.
What struck me most was the serene silence all around — broken only by the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves. It’s amazing to think that this 12th-century temple has stood strong through centuries, protected by nature itself.
Tambdi Surla is not just a temple; it’s an experience of divine calm, architectural brilliance, and natural beauty all woven into one. It reminded me that spirituality often resides in the quietest, most hidden corners of the world.
One of best and peaceful place . The temple is small but the architecture was very old which tells a lot of history. Temple is located middle of the forest the road was good you can easily reach the temple no need to walk. It's better take one vechile or rental cars . Public transport is also available but only 1 time from Panjim to tamde surla that reaches 2:30 pm and will back After 2:30 again to Panjim . From madgaon also you'll get but you have to change 2 more bus . Madgoan to ponda to mollem from mollem you have to take bike on rental ( piolet) they will charge 250/- per person . Beside the temple there is small channal is there and the water is very clean looks like filter water . Temple was very neatly maintained . From temple arround 1km there was a water fall is also there but when we visited in that time it was closed due to some reason. In front of temple limited snacks shops are available the taste is very good. Overall my opinion is very good place visit with your family and friends.
This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is at the end of an offbeat road in Tambdisurla, Goa. Just our floundering luck, of being unable to see the inside of this Mahadev temple. First the premises were locked and after being opened for us to troop in, the temple was not accessible , since the priest wasn't there.

Kadamba Shri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdisurla is a 12th-century Hindu temple located in the serene surroundings of the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. This is a fascinating destination for nature lovers, history lovers and the adventurers. As also those who are religious(primarily hindus) since they worship God in this temple. This monument has been declared to be of national importance. The journey to this location situated in the Mollem wildlife Sanctuary was breathtakingly beautiful with lush forests on both sides of the road. The road which connnects from the main road to the location was well maintained and was a pleasure to drive on. We started off from Mapusa and proceeded to Valpoi via Bicholim, proceeeded to Honda and took a right turn at Cotorem untill we reached a junction where we took a left turn. From here the temple is about 15 km. The road is straight and simple. The road is being widened at certain areas. If you continue going right for another 7 kms you ll reach Bondla Park and Zoo. It took us about 90 minutes or so to reach this destination. A charge of Rs 10 per person is charged by the Panchayat at the Mollem Sanctuary checkpost to take care of the Garbage as per their receipt. On the way there were ample opportunities to click beautiful pics with mother Nature. Upon arrival you are greeted with the locals selling fresh flowers to offer to the temple diety for 30 Rs a bunch. (Wrapped by a large leaf) an eco-sensitive move. There are a couple of eateries which serve you lime soda, softdrinks etc. Along with mirchi pav, kaapa, maggi noodles etc. There is a small bridge built over the stream and after a brief walk (100m) leads to the main temple arena. Chilled and hygienic drinking water is available. There is toilet facility. Car parking is ample but on weekends it could get a little crowded. In one corner of the area there this beautiful tree with Pajakta flowers(parijat) also known as night jasmine. It made a pretty sight. There is provision to light incense sticks. The structure of the temple is made up of Basalt rock and has multiple carvings which has been detailed by the ASI(Goa circle) in its information board at the entrance. This place would be worth visiting during rains however no swimming is permitted which can lead to fatalities. A warning board is seen to that effect. We were lucky to see small animals such as the cute monkeys who eat from your hand, monitor lizards and mongooses. we also saw a school, a health centre and a car workshop in this area. Looks like things are developing in this area. All in all this temple is a masterpiece of a carving dated to 12th or 13th sanctuary. While in Goa, put this destination on your travel list!

My Experience at Tambdi Surla Temple
Visiting the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple was a truly enchanting experience — a perfect blend of spirituality, history, and nature. Hidden deep within the lush forests of the Western Ghats, the temple felt like a timeless treasure untouched by the modern world. As I walked along the narrow path surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sound of a flowing stream, I could already sense the sacred energy of the place.
The moment I saw the temple, I was mesmerized. Built entirely out of black basalt stone, every inch of it is adorned with intricate carvings that tell ancient stories of devotion and craftsmanship. The cool stone walls and the soft fragrance of incense inside the sanctum created a divine peace that’s hard to describe in words. The sight of the Shiva Lingam and the majestic Nandi facing it filled me with a deep sense of reverence.
What struck me most was the serene silence all around — broken only by the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves. It’s amazing to think that this 12th-century temple has stood strong through centuries, protected by nature itself.
Tambdi Surla is not just a temple; it’s an experience of divine calm, architectural brilliance, and natural beauty all woven into one. It reminded me that spirituality often resides in the quietest, most hidden corners of the world.
One of best and peaceful place . The temple is small but the architecture was very old which tells a lot of history. Temple is located middle of the forest the road was good you can easily reach the temple no need to walk. It's better take one vechile or rental cars . Public transport is also available but only 1 time from Panjim to tamde surla that reaches 2:30 pm and will back After 2:30 again to Panjim . From madgaon also you'll get but you have to change 2 more bus . Madgoan to ponda to mollem from mollem you have to take bike on rental ( piolet) they will charge 250/- per person . Beside the temple there is small channal is there and the water is very clean looks like filter water . Temple was very neatly maintained . From temple arround 1km there was a water fall is also there but when we visited in that time it was closed due to some reason. In front of temple limited snacks shops are available the taste is very good. Overall my opinion is very good place visit with your family and friends.

Beautiful beach with nice clean sand . It’s a long beach. One can walk or run on the beach from one end to another end . Luckily well mantained by the local panchayat, as there are no plastics or broken glass of left over liquor bottles on the beach as seen on various other beaches . Must visit site .

Probably the best beach experience we had in South Goa! We went in the morning around 8 and relaxed by the beach, which was largely empty and made it feel like a private beach experience. There are lots and lots of shells on the beach and we picked a handful of them with different colors and shades. Very beautiful and a must-visit in South Goa.

We travelled on 11th Oct 2025. Jeep safari had just opened a day before after the monsoon break. It's recommended to start the journey early we started at 8 am . It is a one hour journey by jeep to the waterfall. You will be given 90 minutes at the waterfall. Additional time can be spent at additional charges. It is the best time to visit as waterfall is in full flow post monsoon. Jeep can accomodate 7 pax . 600 rs per person or 4200 per jeep. Forest check point charge 250 which includes life jacket charges. Pls do not litter this beautiful natural paradise.
A must visit place for people seeking some adventure. You have to reach Kolem by your convenience. Then you’ll have to book local jeep that will take you near the waterfall which would take around 45min. Then there’s 5-10 minutes of hiking and you’ll see the beauty of nature. That’ll cost around Rs 850/- including the forest charges which is 250 Rs. You’ll also get a life jacket that’s included in 850 Rs. You’ll also can also swim in the waterfall.

You have option to go for hiking treking and jeep tour.
It takes 45mins to go by jeep from the forest gate.
Some places you cross the streams and full bumpy road for 45mins. You will be given 90 minutes to enjoy at the water falls. These jeep drivers charge waiting charges if you cross 90 mins.
Avoid if elders with back pain.
Also the water fall area doesn't have proper fencing support railing or any proper means to stand. Plenty of changing rooms but not maintained properly.

Heavy Queue up to 3-4 hours for buying ticket, after ticket buy seat in their bolero around 45 min then you reach dudhsagar waterfall parking area… after that 10 min walking for dudhsagar waterfall, after seeing you feeling just wow… awesome location.. but time taken.
Writing down so that anyone who wants to go can have an easy trip.
Things to note:
You cannot take your personal vehicle after the ticket booking point in Kullem.
No shops inside, so take your water bottles with you.
The road is very very rocky. Anyone with back problems is adviced not to go.
You will need to pay a maintanence fee, its about 220 per person. Carry cash, they do not accept any digital payments.
Theres 3 ways to reach the actual falls.
The first 2 options are a trek. You can trek from Kullem or Castle Rock. The trek from Castle Rock is almost a whole days worth trek and you will need a guide. The one from Kullem is about half a days worth. The roads to reach there are also very muddy mostly because of jeeps that keep crossing the road.
I personally would not recommend the trek because it's not very scenic, the roads are bad to non existent and is dangerous in general, especially from Castle Rock. And you can't take a jeep back from there either because jeeps already have their passengers pre-booked from the ticket point. The only advantage of the trek is that you can stay at the falls as long as you want.
The third way is to book a jeep. Best way imo. They run non stop from the ticket point. It's 500 person(on top the maintanence fee). They'll drop you at the final leg, from there you have to trek for 10mins. A very simple trek. You get 1.5 hours at the falls. Enough to see whatever the falls has to offer.
It’s an easy to moderate trek for around 11.5 kms one way…the view is not much what we expected but was okish. The guide will force you to take the train track route but please make sure you take the forest route for better view and experience.
There are Two ways to Explore the Mighty Falls, one in by Trek and other is Jeep safari which is 4200 per jeep (Rs.700/- per Head) if you are less then 7 you can share with others. By Trek is very difficult for Inexperience, its took 3 hours up and 3 hours down total of 6 Hours Walk. Forest Entry Ticket is Rs.250/- per person. Jeep Travel time is 45 Min up and 45 min Down. They Gave you 1.30 Hours for bath in Falls if waterflow is low. The 1.30 hours time is not enough for everyone because we cant get out of the falls due to its carry such joy and wild experience, they gave you life jackets so don't worry about if you not know to swim. Overall I highly recommend everyone must visit this Falls once you are in GOA. Timing 9.0 am to 3.0 pm. Checkpost is walkable from Kulem Railway Station, which is 30 min from Madgoan Junction.

The dam is one big place to visit and more enthralling is the very well maintained lush green botanical garden with well shaped hedges. And excellent place for families with kids to enjoy a picnic here. Theres a small snack shop with very limited packaged snacks and drinks. Suggest they also keep some refundable fee to prohibit plastic disposal by tourists to maintain it. Lovely place . Dam is simply magnificent with great photo ops. Theres a 60 rs fee for entry which is justified as the place is well kept. And keeping mind its a dam , security will restrict photos at certain locations. Entrance to the steps leading to dam steps is a quite a bit of walk. So be prepared in hot weather with caps and walking shoes . Enjoyable if you are an outdoor person.

Salaulim Dam is 1.5 hours drive from Goa. It offers unique view from the top with Central (Half Circle) Masonry Spillway. It is constructed across Zuari river. The look from the top is mesmerizing. You may get water drizzling near the spillway during monsoon or winds. If you love to spend time in the park, it will take 3 hours to complete the place. Visitors are allowed only till 6 P.M. You need park your vehicles and walk for 15 minutes to reach the top.

Butterfly Beach was an okay experience for me—not as spectacular as I expected. It’s around a 1-hour journey from Calangute, and the final stretch of the route is a bit rough. About 5 kilometers before reaching the beach, the road turns into a bumpy, soil path. From the drop-off point, you can either walk around 2 kilometers or take a jeep ride, which costs ₹250 per person. Scooters are another option if you have one. The jeep ride itself was fun and bumpy, adding a bit of adventure to the journey.
Once dropped near the beach, there’s still a 200-meter walk to reach the shore. Visitors are advised to return by 7:30 PM, as the area becomes less accessible after that. The beach view was decent, with high waves crashing in regularly. A few small waterfalls trickle down from the surrounding hills, flowing directly into the sea. These added a refreshing touch to the scenery. At one point, a strong wave hit me while I was clicking pictures, and I ended up using the waterfall to rinse off. Overall, Butterfly Beach offers a mix of adventure and calm, but for me, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.
Not worth the effort at all. First, you have to cross about 1 km of bad road to even reach the entry point. After that, there’s an open ground for parking, post which cars aren’t allowed. You have to take a jeep for 250 rupees per person for barely half a kilometer. The ride is super bumpy, waterlogged, and even a bit risky at some points. We saw people on two-wheelers stuck and pushing their bikes.
After the jeep ride, you need to walk around 200 meters on a narrow path that fits just one person at a time. And after all that, the beach is honestly very basic and disappointing. Swimming isn’t allowed, and there’s nothing much to do or see. We barely stayed for 15 minutes before heading back.
There are people offering boat rides to Honeymoon Beach, but after the tiring journey, we decided to skip it. Overall, not worth the hassle
Butterfly Beach is a secluded, scenic beach in South Goa known for its tranquil atmosphere, butterfly-shaped cove, and occasional dolphin sightings. It is accessible by boat from Palolem or Agonda beaches, or by trekking through a forest from the Agonda side. It is a non-commercial area, so visitors should carry their own food and water.
Not worth the hype. Go only if you've time to kill. It is not offbeat and reels have made it over famous. If you go to Palolem beach then they provide boat service which goes directly to butterfly beach but boats won't dock to the beach. So only view from afar. If you wish to go by road then the google way is okay. You reach a parking spot and then have to wait in long line for a taxi, only 3 were available at that time. To return also you've to wait for taxi. Not afvisable to go through scooty all the way due to mud on the way. Walking is only a good option if you've got 6 hours of time and quite long distance too.
Cannot even take a dip as after a point it is quite deep. Was able to see few crabs in the crevices . Kakolem should be preferred over this.
There are two ways to reach this beach , either by boat or by road. You can take a boat from Palolem Beach, which also covers several scenic spots along the way. I recommend taking the boat, as the road route is entirely off-road and quite rough
Butterfly Beach is a secluded cove in South Goa that resembles the shape of a butterfly. It's also home to many butterflies.
Primarily accessible by boat from Palolem or Agonda beach. Some land access might be possible through an off-road trek, but boat is the most common method. Shouldn't miss it, if you are in South Goa.
CAUTION FOR THE UNAWARE: USE BOAT to reach here unless desires adventure!
The road towards beach is an adventurous trip. It consist of almost 2KM of self drive in a dirt/gravel road to reach parking with a restaurant place. Then another 1.5KM of paid 4x4 jeep(scooter is allowed) ride that is really bumpy ride. Or take a walk to the beach.
Beach looks good! Its not really crowded and makes great place to visit.

An amazingly beautiful, quiet and pristine beach. Had lovely sunset views and walk to an end where you can river merging with sea. Collected some best looking sea shells as well. Although famous for turtle hatching phenomena which was not the season for us but an amazing experience.

Galgibaga beach is among the few beaches of Goa wherein you will not find tourists. This is mainly because there are no water sports or shacks on this beach. This beach is the nesting place for sea turtles. The beach is a paradise for people who wish to enjoy the sand, sea and sky in its serene form. Just lie down on your mat and gaze the open sea or read a book while enjoying the sound of waves breaking in a distance. The approach to the beach is very convenient though I had a struggle with Google Maps as it was not showing the correct direction (probably because few people visit this beach). It is recommended to park your vehicle below the fly over, though, there is a small parking space a little inside from the highway. The beach has been maintained in its pristine form and if you are planning to visit the beach I urge you to maintain the cleanliness.

Absolutely mesmerizing!
Galjibaga Beach is a hidden gem with crystal-clear waters and untouched natural beauty. A local friend recommended it, and I’m so glad they did! It’s not crowded or commercial — just pure, peaceful nature. We spotted sea shells 🐚 , tiny crabs 🦀 houses, and even learned it’s known as a turtle 🐢 nesting site. After a few scenic photos, we put our phones away and just soaked in the serenity.
A perfect escape from the usual tourist buzz.

Also known as turtle beach. A white sand beach. Very smooth waves. Crystal clear waters. Very clean and less crowded beach. Wonderful restaurants that serve the freshest sea food. Live counters are at every beach shack. Moderately priced. Great sunset view
