Kadamba Shri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdisurla is a 12th-century Hindu temple located in the serene surroundings of the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. This architectural marvel is constructed without any binding between stones, maintaining cool interiors even in scorching temperatures. Believed to be the oldest shrine in Goa, it showcases Kadamba-Yadava architecture and is a significant attraction.
This is a fascinating destination for nature lovers, history lovers and the adventurers. As also those who are religious(primarily hindus) since they worship God in this temple. This monument has been declared to be of national importance. The journey to this location situated in the Mollem wildlife Sanctuary was breathtakingly beautiful with lush forests on both sides of the road. The road which connnects from the main road to the location was well maintained and was a pleasure to drive on. We started off from Mapusa and proceeded to Valpoi via Bicholim, proceeeded to Honda and took a right turn at Cotorem untill we reached a junction where we took a left turn. From here the temple is about 15 km. The road is straight and simple. The road is being widened at certain areas. If you continue going right for another 7 kms you ll reach Bondla Park and Zoo. It took us about 90 minutes or so to reach this destination. A charge of Rs 10 per person is charged by the Panchayat at the Mollem Sanctuary checkpost to take care of the Garbage as per their receipt. On the way there were ample opportunities to click beautiful pics with mother Nature. Upon arrival you are greeted with the locals selling fresh flowers to offer to the temple diety for 30 Rs a bunch. (Wrapped by a large leaf) an eco-sensitive move. There are a couple of eateries which serve you lime soda, softdrinks etc. Along with mirchi pav, kaapa, maggi noodles etc. There is a small bridge built over the stream and after a brief walk (100m) leads to the main temple arena. Chilled and hygienic drinking water is available. There is toilet facility. Car parking is ample but on weekends it could get a little crowded. In one corner of the area there this beautiful tree with Pajakta flowers(parijat) also known as night jasmine. It made a pretty sight. There is provision to light incense sticks. The structure of the temple is made up of Basalt rock and has multiple carvings which has been detailed by the ASI(Goa circle) in its information board at the entrance. This place would be worth visiting during rains however no swimming is permitted which can lead to fatalities. A warning board is seen to that effect. We were lucky to see small animals such as the cute monkeys who eat from your hand, monitor lizards and mongooses. we also saw a school, a health centre and a car workshop in this area. Looks like things are developing in this area. All in all this temple is a masterpiece of a carving dated to 12th or 13th sanctuary. While in Goa, put this destination on your travel list!

A very mystical temple with strong vibes. Situated in bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary the drive itself to the temple is serene. The temple is from 13th century and is maintained by ASI. Very neatly maintained lawn n garden. The forest area, river and the less crowd makes this an offbeat experiance. Must visit if you are in Goa.

Located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer wildlife sanctuary in Goa, Tamdi Surla Mahadev temple or Kadamba Shri Mahadev temple is a 13th century Kadamba dynasty temple. Legend say, Pandavas had built this temple even earlier to this period when the queen of Kadamba dynasty rebuilt this temple again. The temple is located in dense forest along the river Surla and has a beautiful Kadamba style architecture. Temple is very devine and has a spiritual aura with a beautiful carvings. Post temple visit, pls do try the snaks from the locals outside the temple. They are lip smacking..!

My Experience at Tambdi Surla Temple Visiting the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple was a truly enchanting experience — a perfect blend of spirituality, history, and nature. Hidden deep within the lush forests of the Western Ghats, the temple felt like a timeless treasure untouched by the modern world. As I walked along the narrow path surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sound of a flowing stream, I could already sense the sacred energy of the place. The moment I saw the temple, I was mesmerized. Built entirely out of black basalt stone, every inch of it is adorned with intricate carvings that tell ancient stories of devotion and craftsmanship. The cool stone walls and the soft fragrance of incense inside the sanctum created a divine peace that’s hard to describe in words. The sight of the Shiva Lingam and the majestic Nandi facing it filled me with a deep sense of reverence. What struck me most was the serene silence all around — broken only by the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves. It’s amazing to think that this 12th-century temple has stood strong through centuries, protected by nature itself. Tambdi Surla is not just a temple; it’s an experience of divine calm, architectural brilliance, and natural beauty all woven into one. It reminded me that spirituality often resides in the quietest, most hidden corners of the world.

One of best and peaceful place . The temple is small but the architecture was very old which tells a lot of history. Temple is located middle of the forest the road was good you can easily reach the temple no need to walk. It's better take one vechile or rental cars . Public transport is also available but only 1 time from Panjim to tamde surla that reaches 2:30 pm and will back After 2:30 again to Panjim . From madgaon also you'll get but you have to change 2 more bus . Madgoan to ponda to mollem from mollem you have to take bike on rental ( piolet) they will charge 250/- per person . Beside the temple there is small channal is there and the water is very clean looks like filter water . Temple was very neatly maintained . From temple arround 1km there was a water fall is also there but when we visited in that time it was closed due to some reason. In front of temple limited snacks shops are available the taste is very good. Overall my opinion is very good place visit with your family and friends.

This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is at the end of an offbeat road in Tambdisurla, Goa. You have to take a detour of around 20 Kms from the main Panaji Belgavi highway and you drive down winding roads between lush green forest on both sides. You find an occasional stream flowing which makes it even more serene. The temple is built in the late Chalukya and Hoysala architecture. There is a Shivalinga inside the sanctum and pooja is still offered here. Opens at 9.00am in the morning and closes at 5.30 pm in the evening.
Prashant G — Google review
Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla, is that of the Kadamba style, dated 13th Cent. It is reminiscent of the temples at Aihole Karnataka. This temple was built with Basalt, carried here from the Deccan plateau. It is perhaps the only Kadamba architecture made in Basalt. It survived all types of invasions due to it being located deep in the forests at the foot of the western ghats. Just our floundering luck, of being unable to see the inside of this Mahadev temple. First the premises were locked and after being opened for us to troop in, the temple was not accessible , since the priest wasn't there. I personally loved the serenity the place.

A beautiful and timeless 13th century temple built by kadambas. The Shiva Linga fills you with devotion the moment you see it. The peaceful water stream with small fishes adds to the charm. The drive to the temple is awesome, and the place is very clean and well maintained. A must-visit spot for a calm, divine experience.

Waterfalls
Harvalem Waterfalls, located in the Arvalem village of northern Goa, is a serene and offbeat destination for waterfall enthusiasts. While not as grand as Dudhsagar waterfall, it offers a tranquil retreat amidst lush forests and provides privacy due to its secluded location. The 50-meter high waterfall is most impressive during the monsoon season when foamy white water cascades down against the backdrop of dense foliage.
Visited Harvalem Waterfall during the September rains and it was a beautiful experience. The waterfall was in full flow, surrounded by lush greenery, and the misty weather made it even more scenic. The approach is simple, but roads can get a bit slippery in the rains, so drive carefully. A peaceful and refreshing spot to enjoy nature in
Prateek P — Google review
Harvalem Waterfall is a scenic destination in North Goa, known for its impressive cascading falls, especially during the monsoon season. You can find a nearby Rudreshwar temple and the ancient Arvalem Caves (also called Pandav caves) in the vicinity, offering a blend of natural beauty and historical interest. While free to visit, the area is best explored during the monsoon months (July-September) for the waterfall's full glory.
Dipayan B — Google review
Loved the refreshing mist from the waterfall! 🌿 A beautiful spot surrounded by lush greenery, located right beside the must-visit Shree Rudreshwar Temple. Don’t miss walking towards the Harvalem metal bridge — you’ll get a stunning view of the water flow and can enjoy the soothing sounds of birds all around
Sai K — Google review
Harvalem Waterfalls is a must-visit spot in Goa, especially if you're looking to explore beyond the beaches. It's easily accessible with just a short walk from the road. Even in November, there was a good flow of water, making it a refreshing sight. There’s also a temple nearby that adds a peaceful touch to the visit. You’ll find Maggi and fruit stalls around, which are handy if you're looking for a quick snack. A simple yet scenic stop worth including in your Goa itinerary.
Pratik J — Google review
Amazing experience Journey to waterfall was fantastic which included some bridges where you can get good pictures and memories. Though place near waterfall felt little damp , it was picturesque..... We arrived there in the evening but personally I feel ,you should have in morning so you can get to see a good sunrise and a beautiful sunset at any good beach to conclude the day.
Divyansh P — Google review
It is a very beautiful waterfall to visit during the monsoons. It is better to take a poncho as the splashing water will make you soaking wet. Most people come here for the temple and not the waterfall, so usually there are very few people.
Binoy B — Google review
Harvalem is a beautiful, accessible, and relatively peaceful waterfall spot in Goa. It won’t compete with very large waterfalls in sheer scale, but its charm is in the greenery, the mood, the monsoon roar, and the combination with heritage sites. If you’re okay with nature’s unpredictability (water flow depends heavily on season), and plan well (morning + essentials), it’s highly worthwhile. Combine with Visit the caves and temple nearby to make it a fuller half-day outing. Nearby attractions: Arvalem / Arvalem Caves (rock-cut caves, also called Pandava Caves), Rudreshwar Temple
Sai S — Google review
No ticket - No charges.Parking is also free. Its good but for not for long. You can be here for 15-20 min as there is no place to sit and enjoy the view. But for one time, its worth it. And its look like seasonal, mostly in rainy season.

its a beautiful place with Mahadev Temple, feels so good to just go and sit there, so peaceful, maintained very well by the Military, a small zoo for the kids . if you want peace and quiet and relax , this is the place. Update: went there with my grand daughter. She really enjoyed the slides, swings, rides and the park. First time saw a deer and was amazed

This temple is located inside military campus… Small and nice Mahadev temple surrounded with greenery… there is a children’s park and a small zoo where one can find animals like deer, rabbits, tortoise etc… no charges… small kids really enjoy this place… toilets are also available in the premises… There is a big Shivaji statue… park is still being developed…

Military Mahadeva Temple is One of the city's oldest temples, this Shiva shrine is managed by the Indian Army and was inaugurated in 1955. The temple is situated on Camp Road and is surrounded by a green, well-landscaped garden with a children's play area and has some benches to sit on. The central shrine houses an awe-inspiring black Shiva Lingam, guarded by five-hooded serpents, which captivates visitors with its mystical allure. Adjacent to the temple is a mini zoo that houses deer and emus, providing an additional attraction for families and nature enthusiasts. The temple complex includes statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and replicas of forts associated with him. The temple is open on all days from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. It has relaxing and peaceful settings makes the place worth a visit !!!

It's a beautiful temple. Well maintained. There is a garden inside the temple premises , and small rides are available too kids along with jumping castle , swing and sliders . Kids will enjoy as there is a small zoo kinda attached to temple compound where one can spot few deers , swans, turtles. Overall it's a good place for people of all ages. There is parking space for 2 and 4 wheeler and it's absolutely free .

Best place to go for a relaxed walk, quality time with family, kids love it. This was the must go destination for me as a child. Loved watching deer, rabbits, peacocks, emu. The temple was a must visit place. Going to the Krishna fountain to spot tortoises was the next best activity. It was very hard to get a chance to sit on the swings. I always preferred the slide.

Amboli Water Falls

Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Amboli Water Falls, located in the Shayadri hills of Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district, is a popular destination during the monsoon season. The waterfall, resembling Dudhsagar waterfall, is surrounded by lush green forests and offers a picturesque view. However, it can get crowded during holidays and weekends, with traffic jams on the highway being common. Visitors are advised to be cautious during the monsoon due to potential landslides.
Amboli waterfalls are a delight during monsoon period. Though there is the MAIN Amboli waterfall, the entire route is dotted with number of waterfalls to get mesmerized. During peak monsoon you also get to enjoy thick cloud cover. After the rains the entire valley comes alive with water jetting out from several places. It has become a big attraction and has become quite crowded in recent years. Hence, if you really want to enjoy the bounty of nature then you should visit the place early in the morning. During monsoon, as the place comes alive, many road site eateries also come into being selling tea, coffe, maggie, sweet corns, fritter (pakora) etc. As the day progresses getting parking space becomes a challenge. Their are police men trying to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and restricting people to park on the side of the road. Government has come up with a toilet complex which is a great boon for the visitors. It rains heavely and rain wear is highly recommended. I also strongly suggest to carry extra clothing as the excitement pulls people to get soaked under the waterfall(s). Amboli is a must visit place during monsoon.
Rohit G — Google review
We visited Amboil Waterfalls ,it looked really beautiful and peaceful. The sound of the flowing water and the surrounding greenery made the place very relaxing. On the way to Amboli, we could see lots of small waterfalls, which made the journey even more scenic. The route is a bit rough, but the view is totally worth it.
Jithin P — Google review
One of the very famous waterfall…. Very crowded…. But you will definitely get refreshed here…. Suggest to visit on weekdays & avoid to visit on Saturday, Sunday & Holidays as parking place is not sufficient & road are very narrow due to ghat
Sandeep G — Google review
During monsoon, you can see the waterfall in all its glory. However, it's difficult to find parking due to a lot of people visiting. It's better to visit on a weekday to avoid the traffic.
Shreya S — Google review
Amboli Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful spots in the Western Ghats, especially during the monsoon. The waterfall is majestic, the greenery all around is breathtaking, and the cool mist in the air makes the whole experience refreshing. 🌿💧 However, one big concern is cleanliness on the roadside and surrounding areas. Many tourists leave behind plastic bottles, food wrappers, and garbage, which spoils the natural beauty. The local authorities and visitors both need to be more responsible to maintain the charm of this place. If you visit, do enjoy the stunning waterfall but please carry your trash back and help keep the environment clean. 🙏 👉 Overall: A must-visit natural wonder in monsoon, but cleanliness is a serious challenge due to careless tourists.
Rahul P — Google review
Very thrilling and beautiful place specifically in Rainey days. Unforgettable and wondering ghat place. Smoggy, water sprinkling, there is no words for its stunning looks. But very rush and have to wear rainkot or jackets and must take food with you.
LingaRaj P — Google review
Visited Amboli Waterfall recently and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The waterfall is breathtaking, especially during the monsoon when it’s at its peak flow. The lush greenery all around adds to the charm, making it a perfect escape into nature.

A wonderful place to spend the day in peace; Swami Vivekananda stayed here for 9 days. Evening prasad is also served around 6-7 PM.

Ramkrishna Ashram is really nice. The special feature of this place is that Swami Vivekananda stayed here for 8 days, moreover, there are many types of colorful flowering plants beside the ashram and they are well taken care of. 🌸💮 The ashram is very attractive from outside and inside. The atmosphere there is very calm and positive. Once inside, Gaelic doesn't seem to come out. Many people were sitting there chanting.💫💫 Inside the temple there is a lot of carvings and idols. I found the people there very peaceful. The guards there were also very nice and gave us proper information. It feels very cool because there is peace there. They have made a small museum of Swami Vivekananda on the left side of the ashram. They have given a lot of information there that what Swami Vivekananda preached while staying there is shown by Chitran.✨✨ There are many such places to visit in Belgaum.👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful waterfall, especially in monsoon, but with the hanging bridge closed and fencing around, the overall view feels little restricted. But it’s good for people’s safety.

Gokak Waterfalls: The Niagara of Karnataka Gokak Waterfalls, often referred to as the Niagara of Karnataka, is a spectacular natural wonder located in the Belagavi district of Karnataka, India. Formed by the Ghataprabha River, the falls plunge from a height of approximately 170 feet into a rugged sandstone gorge, creating a breathtaking sight. Highlights of Gokak Waterfalls 1. Historical Significance: The Gokak Falls area has historical importance due to its association with the Chalukyan era. Several ancient monuments and temples can be found nearby, adding a cultural charm to the natural beauty of the falls. 2. Colonial Legacy: A British-era hanging bridge, measuring 210 meters in length, adds to the allure of the location. This architectural marvel provides visitors with a panoramic view of the cascading waterfalls and the surrounding greenery. 3. Unique Features: The falls are distinct because of their horseshoe-shaped edge and reddish-brown rocks, which make the cascading water even more visually striking. During the monsoon season (July to October), the river swells, offering a dramatic and awe-inspiring spectacle. 4. Hydroelectric Power Station: Gokak Falls also holds the distinction of being home to one of the earliest hydroelectric power stations in India, established in 1907, which once supplied electricity to the nearby textile mills. 5. Nearby Attractions: • Mahalingeshwara Temple: A centuries-old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located near the falls. • Godachinmalki Falls: Another stunning waterfall located a short distance from Gokak. • Gokak Town: Known for its textiles and traditional Gokak sweets, the town offers a charming detour for visitors. Travel Tips • Best Time to Visit: Monsoon and post-monsoon seasons (July to October) for the fullest flow of the waterfalls. • Accessibility: The falls are about 70 km from Belagavi and 40 km from Dharwad, easily reachable by road. • Activities: Photography, nature walks, and temple visits are popular here. Swimming is not recommended due to strong currents. With its stunning natural beauty and cultural significance, Gokak Waterfalls is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

Great place to visit but it's a little crowded on the weekends so chances of seeing wildlife are less on weekends. You can see radhanagari backwaters and the view is just amazing. You should plan to visit around morning time so that some of the animals could be seen. Don't go in afternoon you will hardly see any animal. Nandanvandg Home stay seems to be great location for staying near Dajipur wildlife Sanctuary (Radhanagri).

A dense forest reserved for bisons. This place opens at 6 am in the morning. The best time to start the safari is 6 am to 10 am as animals come to drink water so we can see them easily. There are shekarus in the forest which is state animal of maharashtra. We went in may still there were lush green trees. We took a jeep for 10 people which costed us ₹2000 and each persons ticket was ₹ 50 Must visit once. This forest is well resereved. There are towers on the main site points which are good photogenic and view from there is amazing. The guids are nice. they try their best so that we can see the animals. Even if we dont see any animal the road journey in the jungle is worth it. It is a 4 to 5 hrs journy so bring your own water bottle, caps, goggles, some snacks etc.

Rautwadi Waterfall, Radhanagri

On a family trip to Malvan, Sindhudurg, we made a stop at the Rautwadi Waterfall in Olavan of Radhanagari taluka. Just 8 km from Radhanagari, this easily accessible waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a stunning natural setting. Standing at around 100 ft tall, it features a beautiful walkway leading to the summit.
Rautwadi Waterfall, nestled near the village of Rautwadi in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, is a hidden gem that offers a refreshing escape into nature. Surrounded by dense forests and lush greenery, the waterfall is at its most majestic during the monsoon season when the water cascades down from the cliffs in full force, creating a breathtaking sight and a soothing sound that fills the air. The trek to the waterfall is moderately easy, making it accessible even for beginners and families. The route itself is scenic, passing through paddy fields, forested trails, and small streams. For nature enthusiasts and photography lovers, the surroundings provide ample opportunities to capture the unspoiled beauty of the Western Ghats. One of the best parts about Rautwadi Waterfall is its relatively low crowd density compared to more commercialized spots. This makes it an ideal destination for those seeking peace and solitude. Visitors often enjoy bathing under the waterfall or simply relaxing by the rocks, immersed in the calm atmosphere. Basic amenities near the site are limited, so it is advisable to carry essentials like water, snacks, and first-aid. Local villagers are friendly and sometimes offer homemade refreshments. There are no formal entry fees, which adds to its appeal for budget travelers. While Rautwadi may not yet be widely known, it is certainly worth a visit for anyone exploring the natural beauty of Maharashtra. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple looking for a quiet retreat, or a group of friends seeking adventure, this waterfall promises a memorable experience. However, as with any natural site, responsible tourism is key—leave no litter, respect the environment, and enjoy the serenity that Rautwadi offers. In short, Rautwadi Waterfall is a pristine, peaceful, and picturesque destination that leaves a lasting impression.

A fantastic experience, huge waterfall, heavy rain, place is surrounded with mountains and lush greenery every where. Rs 50/ - need to pay to Padali grampanchayat. Ensure you carry enough snacks or food with you, snacks available are bit costly. Also parking facility is along the road side, better to visit before 1-2 PM so to avoid heavy rush during season, as usual sharing some photos.. Enjoy...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rautwadi Waterfall is amazing! It’s a beautiful spot near Radhanagari Dam, with water falling from high up, surrounded by green trees. The short walk to the falls is easy, and the path is nice and clean. Standing near the waterfall feels so refreshing, with cool mist and loud water sounds—perfect for relaxing or taking photos. The hot sweet corn from nearby stalls is so tasty, with just the right spices. It’s the best snack to enjoy while looking at the falls. The Radhanagari Dam with its seven gates is close by, and the calm water and hills are super pretty. The place feels safe, with friendly people and basic facilities like bathrooms. It’s not too crowded, especialy early in the day, which makes it peaceful. If you want a fun day out with nature, yummy corn, and a cool dam nearby, Rautwadi Waterfall is perfect.
Pramod M — Google review
Rautwadi Waterfall is quite beautiful, but my experience was somewhat mixed. The access roads can be quite congested, and once there, the area feels a bit restricted, limiting the room to spread out and truly enjoy the surroundings, especially with a larger crowd. I found that it's much more enjoyable with a limited number of people, and definitely recommend visiting on a weekday rather than a weekend to avoid the rush. Having explored other options, I personally believe that Nitawade Waterfall is a superior choice compared to Rautwadi waterfalls for a more spacious and relaxed experience. If you're looking for the best waterfall experience in the area, consider Nitawade first.
VINAYAK S — Google review

It was a very nice weekend experience at Rautwadi Waterfall, it is from 51-54 km's from Kolhapur, so I went on a scooter. There is 10 rs entry charge, but there is a major issue of parking that's why the road got a jam meanwhile. For tourists, this waterfall is a very good attractive point, you will get tea, Maggie stall near. It was a very nice and good experience watching the high flow of waterfall and experiencing it 🙂
Kedar G — Google review
A beautiful waterfall which you can visit with your family. Best to visit in either early or late monsoon. A short trek to reach the waterfalls so it is even kid and senior citizen friendly. Gets very crowded during weekends.

Nestled in the heart of Kolhapur, the Shri Ambabai Temple, also known as the Mahalaxmi Temple, is a stunning 12th-century Hindu shrine that captivates visitors with its intricate sculptures and rich history. Revered as one of the Shakti Peethas or Dakshin Kashi, this temple holds immense spiritual significance for devotees seeking liberation from desires or fulfillment of their wishes.
Beautiful and divine temple with rich history. The idol of Ambabai is mesmerizing and the atmosphere inside is very peaceful. Well-maintained and clean. Gets very crowded on weekends and festivals, so early morning darshan is best. Parking can be difficult near the temple. Overall, a must-visit spiritual place in Kolhapur.

-Get down at main entrance, we mistakenly had dropped down backside gate. -Senior citizens are allowed to sit in the entrance if any large queue was there. -Inside temple, womens are separately in queues to have Darshan as its Mahalaxmi Temple. -Drinking water facility available when you come out of Darshan. -Several shops available inside for shopping devotional items. -Peda Prasad nearby exit of Darshan is the cheap and best which was sold by local guys. -Also, Laddu Prasad sold by Temple committee. -Best part is free Bhojanalaya as like in Shirdi was available and taste was very good. (Variety Rice, sabhji, butter milk, sweet.) -Timing 12PM to 3PM -This is located in backside of temple which is of 50m distance from temple. -Free Tokens are given in main entrance and backside gate. -Volunteers/Members inside Bhojanalaya strictly instructs all devotees to not waste food. One should complete his/her food and allowed to get up for handwash. - Plates for children were asked there parents before giving in order avoid wastage of food. - But this Bhojanalaya is present in 1st floor, which is a very big minus point for those where not able to step up. - Footwears are to be kept outside Bhojanalaya.

Beautiful and very very old temple. Powerful vibes can be experienced. Crowded throughout the day. We had gone in the afternoon and early morning and both times the temple was crowded. We were blessed to have a security officer help us out of the blue as my mom couldnt stand and wait in the queue for long hours. Visiting Kopeshwar Temple was an absolutely mesmerizing experience. The temple is not only an architectural marvel but also a living testimony of India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. The intricate carvings, unique circular design, and the way the temple blends both Shaivite and Vaishnavite traditions left me truly awe-struck. Every pillar, every sculpture tells a story, making it feel like you’re walking through history. A very special mention to our guide, Aappa, whose knowledge and storytelling brought the temple to life. He explained the legends, historical significance, and hidden details in such a captivating way that it made the entire visit unforgettable. His passion and respect for the temple truly enhanced the experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend visiting this hidden gem, and if possible, take the tour with Aappa – he will make sure you don’t just see the temple, but truly experience its soul. 🙏

You cannot understand and enjoy this magnificent temple without a proper guide. Our guide Mr.Appu created that aura of the temple with his beautiful narration. Though it's a small temple..I would say one day is also very less to study n observe beauty of each pillars and stories of the each beautifully carved art. Only shocking observation is why Govt or Archeology society is not taking care and beautifying. These are just one of few left over beautiful art pieces by our ancestors , if we don't preserve this for our future generations..it will also go very soon. We need to give importance to glorify our History, keeping politics away. If you are in kolhapur , you must visit this temple, (it's 1 hr 45 minutes away from kolhapur.)( Driving through the sugarcane fields is another unforgettable moment)

Mobile phones and shoes are not allowed inside. There are only four rooms open to visitors, displaying some antique guns and old items. The lighting inside is quite dim, which makes it hard to see everything clearly. Overall, if you’re really interested in history and royal collections, you might enjoy the visit — otherwise, it can be skipped. ⭐ Rating: 3/5

Shahu Palace is a beautiful heritage spot in Kolhapur that truly reflects royal elegance and history. The architecture is stunning, especially the clock tower and detailed carvings — a real treat for architecture lovers! The palace also has a small museum showcasing artifacts from the royal era. However, mobile phones and cameras are not allowed inside the inner section, so you can’t take pictures there — but it’s worth visiting for the experience and glimpse of history. The outside garden is peaceful, clean, and great for photography. There’s also a small area with deer and ducks nearby, which adds to the charm 🦌📜✨

A Hidden Gem of Maratha History & Architecture! Visited the New Palace (Shahu Museum) in Kolhapur and I was completely blown away! This stunning Indo-Saracenic palace, built in 1884, is an architectural masterpiece with its black polished stone, elegant clock tower, and beautiful manicured gardens. The moment you step in, you’re transported back to the royal era of the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. The museum inside is brilliantly curated – from the exquisite durbar hall with its Belgian chandeliers and stained-glass windows to the impressive collection of royal costumes, weapons, jewellery, and Shahu Maharaj’s famous taxidermy animals (the wrestling tiger and hunting trophies are unforgettable!). You have to buy tickets Rs.20 for kids and Rs.40 for adults

Narsoba Chi Wadi Mandir

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Narsoba Chi Wadi Mandir, also known as Shree Kshetra Narasimha Wadi, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Dattatreya. It is located in the Kolhapur district near the confluence of the Krishna and Panchganga rivers. The temple offers a peaceful atmosphere for meditation and reflection, with manageable crowds even on special occasions. Visitors can easily get darshan after a short wait in line.
Complete Spiritual & Travel Experience – Shri Narsobawadi Datt Mandir My recent visit to Shri Narsobawadi Datt Mandir in Kolhapur district was a deeply fulfilling experience — both spiritually and as a traveler. The presence of Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj can be truly felt here. The temple is peaceful and well-managed, and the afternoon Mahaprasad is served with love and devotion — a must-experience for every devotee. Throughout the day, various vidhis and pujas are continuously performed in and around the temple area — such as abhishek, pradakshina, datta mala jaap, and sankalp pujas — creating a strong spiritual atmosphere that makes you feel deeply connected and at peace. The cold, holy water of the Krishna river nearby offers calmness and purity. I also enjoyed the boat rides (boat vihar) which provide a beautiful view of the temple and riverbank — very relaxing especially during early morning or sunset. For families and travelers, the place is very convenient: There's a dedicated play area and stalls selling a variety of toys, which children enjoy. The area has many restaurants and hotels, offering everything from local snacks to full meals and stay options for all budgets. A big plus is the huge parking space that makes arriving and leaving easy, even on crowded days. Around the temple, there are many small shops and stalls selling souvenirs — like Devotional Books, photos and idols of Lord Dattatreya, prayer beads (malas), religious books, keychains, sweets like pedha,Basundi, Khawa, other prasad items and decorative items — perfect for taking home as memories or gifts. The area is well-developed with many restaurants and hotels offering everything from local Maharashtrian meals to basic lodging and even AC rooms for longer stays are easily available, and local food is tasty and budget-friendly. Whether you're a devotee seeking spiritual upliftment or a traveler looking for a serene and culturally rich destination, Shri Narsobawadi is a must-visit. It truly offers a complete experience of devotion, natural beauty, tradition, and comfort. Highly recommended for all age groups and especially for devotees of Lord Dattatreya.

Narsobachiwadi, also called Narsobavadi, is a famous holy place near Kolhapur in Maharashtra. It is located at the meeting point of two rivers – Krishna and Panchganga – which makes the place very special and peaceful. The main reason people visit here is the temple of Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami, who is believed to be the second incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. It is said that Swamiji lived in Narsobavadi for 12 years, and his blessings still protect the land. The temple has the sacred padukas (footprints) of Shri Narasimha Saraswati. Devotees from all over India come to worship here and seek peace and guidance. Inside the temple, the sound of prayers and chants of “Digambara Digambara” creates a very spiritual and calm atmosphere. The river ghats nearby are also very beautiful, where people take a holy dip and spend time in meditation. Visiting Narsobavadi feels truly peaceful and divine. The soothing chants, holy river ghats, and sacred temple atmosphere create a sense of calmness. Surrounded by devotion and natural beauty, you feel blessed, stress-free, and connected to God, making it a perfect place for both faith and inner peace.

We traveled from Chikkodi to Narasobawadi and found it convenient using KSRTC buses. The journey took about an hour by public transport. We visited on a Thursday and were able to have darshan within 10–15 minutes, which was great. A delicious lunch was served at 12:30 PM

This is the deity worshiped by not only Sanglikars, but also by devotees from all over Maharashtra. The temple that was built by Raje Patwardhan is based on "Panchayatan" system of deity placement. It's a place to find solace , calm , peace of mind and the God of wisdom, Ganpatibappa is also known as Wighnaharta, i.e., the one who destroys all your worries. Just go and find your solace.
Kaustubh K — Google review
Ganapati Temple is regarded as the most beautiful temple in south Maharashtra. It is situated on the banks of river Krishna at Sangli. Thorle (elder) Chintamanrao Patwardhan consecrated the idol in 1843. The temple has been artistically built with black stone brought from Jyotibha hills. There is a platform, a hall and a 'Nagarkhana' inside the vast two acres complex of the temple. The entrance door has been carved out of different coloured natural wood. The idol of the Lord Ganapati is made of copper. The idol has been kept in a way that it is visible from any part of Ganapati Peth. It looks so beautiful when the silvery rays of evening sun brighten the face of the Ganapati idol. Ganapati festival is celebrated with great religious fervour for five days from Bhadrapad Shuddha Chaturthi. Sangli is well connected by air, train and road. Dharamshalas and small budgeted hotels at Sangli are available for accommodation.

This was my third trip to Fratelli vineyard and I must say that my experience gets better with every trip. To begin with the roads are getting better and broader and hence easier to drive. The addition of new wines are great, the new M/S range is so good. The room cleanliness and staff has greatly improved and I would give them a 10 on 10 rating for that. Special mention to Bhola who made a very sincere effort to cook as per our requirements and of course Ravi who helped with everything from wine tasting to drive to the machan and also the distillery. Overall a great trip

Abhay H — Google review
What more can I say about Fratelli Wineyards that hasn't already been said by all the 5 star reviews? We had visited as a family of 7 which had 4 adults and 3 children. The experience here was unbelievably customized for us, since we were the only ones staying there apart from their consultants. They have exactly four rooms, of which two are usually occupied by the shareholders and the remaining two are open for guests. The rooms are huge, airy, immaculately maintained and modern. The washrooms are clean, spacious and well-maintained with all the necessary toiletries. Both the rooms open out into a long, flowing common garden where kids can play badminton or frisbee or whatever you bring along. Initially, the property was so tastefully developed by the shareholders for themselves that they decided to extend their experience to guests. So this includes kitchen staff ready at (only) your service, ready to make any cuisine you prefer. We had delicious Maharshtrian food once and Italian food in our next meal (they make good Italian food since one of their shareholders is Italian). Bhola, Maushi and others in the kitchen are very humble and pay attention only to you, since again, there are no other guests except you. One thing we noted, was that everyone from the front office, houskeeping, factory staff, kitchen staff, managers, etc...are all deeply attached to the owners, respect them and stand by them for the way they treat their staff and also for the social work they have done in the villages in the vicinity, such as adopting an entire village, construction of schools, making sustainable water management systems for villagers, sponsoring the education of children, buying grape produce from third party farmers at respectable prices and overall for creating sustainable employment among the local population. This respect in turn, flows down in the way the staff treats their guests. We visited their machan on the day of our arrival. We were driven there in an open-hood Tata Xenon pickup through lush green fields of sugarcane, banana and grape. We enjoyed every minute of the 45 minute off-road ride. The machan, a big hall tastefully made of cane and bamboo, is on a hilltop overseeing hundreds of acres of grape cultivation. The hilltop is tastefully landscaped too. We reached just before sunset. What followed was an experience to remember for a lifetime. The sun was setting in all its glory and we had a direct view of it setting in between distant hills. All this while while having wine, cheese, crackers, coffee and other snacks brought along by our driver. By the time the sun had almost set, we glanced over our shoulder and saw that the blood moon had already risen over the horizon at the same time on the opposite side! No lights anywhere, no noise...just a serene, peaceful and magical moment. After sunset, we went back to the hotel, enjoying the blood moon from our open-top SUV all the way. When we got back, we had a sumptuous dinner after which the kids watched an animation movie on the big-screen TV, chilling in Lazyboy chairs amd cushy sofas. We adults played a little pool nearby. The next day we were given a tour of the entire factory and operations, along with a drive in their vintage Mahindra through the grape fields. The property is very kid-friendly and has a few sports equipments on offer, a few bicycles and a quad bike ride, along with an big open lawn to play on. The experience at Fratelli is one we will never forget and will definitely come।back for, hopefully this monsoon. For the future, they have plans to tie up with Taj for a world-class tourist facility on a hilltop overseeing their grape fields. As it stands, their existing facility itself is so mesmerising and staff so magnanimous, that we are sure they be successful in their future ventures.

Walled temple with multicolored towers & 2 hilltop shrines, where devotees spread turmeric powder.
A Truly Divine Experience at Shri Khandoba Temple, Jejuri My recent visit to the Shri Khandoba Temple in Jejuri was nothing short of a divine and profoundly uplifting experience. Nestled atop a hill, this sacred abode of Lord Khandoba truly captivates the soul with its spiritual aura and vibrant atmosphere. What truly sets Jejuri apart is the incredible tradition of "Bhandara." Witnessing devotees enthusiastically shower the deity and the temple premises with copious amounts of turmeric powder creates a mesmerizing spectacle. The entire complex is bathed in a golden hue, a tangible expression of devotion that invigorates the senses and fills the air with a unique, spiritual energy. It's an unforgettable visual and sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression. The temple's architecture, with its unique Hemadpanthi style blending stone and brick, is a testament to its rich history and cultural heritage. Despite the bustling crowds, especially on weekends, I found moments of profound peace within the sanctum. The friendly demeanor of the staff and volunteers further enhanced the visit, making it a welcoming place for all.

Lord shiva temple is especially famous for new weds coming here to seek a blissful life. The turmeric powder holi is a unique tradition of this temple where all devotees offer turmeric powder to lord shiva and also pour turmeric in the air. You will have to cross hundred stairs to reach to this ancient temple but it's totally worth. The energy and vibes at the top are simply amazing.

"Jejuri Khandoba Temple is truly a divine and spiritual place. Located on a hilltop, it requires climbing around 400-450 steps, but the journey itself feels very peaceful and energizing. The view from the top is beautiful, and the temple atmosphere is filled with positivity.

I recently visited Khandoba temple at Jejuri as Khandoba is out deity and we often visit this place to take blessings , this time I went with my father and we decided to take steps to climb up the fort as kid I visited but this time it was bit difficult for my father as he is 60+ now but it took us like 30 min to climb up we took breaks to have water in between but when we reached up it was all worth it despite Sunday the number of visitors were less , we got the darshan and then we proceeded back to pune , only issue is that you will find rikshaws easily , and food availability is less like less options are there .
DEVDATTA B — Google review
Newly married couples 💑 come here to seek blessings from Lord Khandoba as they begin their life journey together. Traditionally, the husband carries his wife up at least the first five steps of the temple. Turmeric powder, known as bhandara, is spread all over the temple, giving it a golden look. When devotees throw turmeric into the air as an offering to the deity, it creates a truly amazing sight.🌫️ Note: 1. After darshan, when exiting from the left side, you will notice two people sitting near the exit gate inside the temple. Be cautious—they call out to you, ask your name, and request a donation in the name of God. You’ll see ₹200–₹500 notes in front of them. It’s best to avoid engaging with them. 2. It's advisable to stay away from local pandits, as some may try to extract money from you. 3. After the darshan, you can visit the place where Shahaji Raje and Shivaji Maharaj met.

We recently visited Mayureshwar Ganpati Mandir at Morgaon, and honestly, it was such a peaceful and divine experience. We reached early in the morning around 5:30 AM, so luckily there was no waiting at all - we got direct darshan without any crowd. The atmosphere at that time was so calm - the sound of bells, a gentle breeze, and that early morning silence just made everything feel so spiritual. The temple is clean and beautifully maintained, and the Ganpati idol looks truly divine. There are a few shops outside for prasad & flowers but they were closed since we reached very early in the morning ... Parking space is also available, and tea stalls were open at that time, early in the morning.... If you're planning to visit, I'd definitely suggest going early morning for a peaceful and fulfilling darshan. Truly a beautiful and soul-soothing experience! 🙏✨

One off the Ganapati temple from Shree Ashtavinayak. Its based in Morgaon, the temple has great history. Temple is built in ancient times but is still in great condition, many pilgrims visit here daily. Lot of shops nearby temple. Its well maintained.
Atul G — Google review
Significance: First and most important temple in the Ashtavinayak circuit. It is believed that pilgrimage should start and end here Architecture & Ambience The temple is built in black stone with a distinctive Nagarkhana (music gallery) at the entrance. Surrounded by four gates in the shape of a peacock (hence the name Mayureshwar). The main sanctum is calm, with the idol facing north, which is rare in Ganpati temples. The idol is considered Swayambhu (self-manifested), adorned with a Nag (serpent) and a diamond in the navel. Experience Spiritual Vibe: Very serene and deeply devotional atmosphere. Crowd: Moderate on weekdays, heavy during weekends and Ganesh Chaturthi. Darshan Time: Quick on normal days (10-15 minutes), but expect queues during festivals. Cleanliness: Overall good, maintained by the trust. Facilities Parking: Available near the temple. Food: Small eateries and prasad shops nearby. Stay: Few basic lodging options around; Pune city (~65 km) has better choices. Shops: Plenty of pooja and prasad shops at the entrance. Best Time to Visit Early morning for peaceful darshan. Avoid peak festivals if you prefer less crowd.

Kune Falls, located about 4 km from Lonavala and 2 km from Khandala Railway Station, is a picturesque waterfall nestled in the Sahyadri range. With its dramatic tiered structure and scenic mountain views, it's a popular spot for photography and adventure enthusiasts. The falls cascade down three levels amidst thick forests and mountain bluffs, offering an enchanting visual experience.
Beautiful location.. many small waterfalls and a huge one too.. th location on Google is not exactly precise but once you reach there ask locals and you'll be at the waterfalls. Use a vehicle with proper ground clearance.
Mazher S — Google review
One of the Beautiful place in Lonavla. Must visit place. But you can not go near this Kune waterfalls why because it is under private property now. So we can see this from a distance at Khandala Monkey view point. The view is just Amazing. U can't get over from the view. You can find food stalls there and you can eat breakfast and lunch also.
Asha K — Google review
There was nothing. Google map ended abruptly. Still we went ahead long in search of Kune Falls. There was a beautiful Jungle and some fields to watch. Locals said there is no such falls.
Somanath J — Google review
This was something different for me, well, Kune water falls with monsoon was a different kind of fun. try here once
Shaikh I — Google review
Good place to visit for fun and joy. Road towards waterfall is very raw and cars with low ground clearance may get damaged due to big rocks on the raw road. There are many waterfalls you can enjoy on the way.
Avadhut K — Google review
It's one of the beautiful waterfall near lonavala. You can see this from rajmachi point khandala. From old pune Mumbai highway
Kedar D — Google review
The directions on google maps is wrong and the actual entrance is 4kms ahead. The path to the falls is also really bad and can only be trekked. Do not take your cars. Would not recommend.
Ananya N — Google review

Shree Mahaganapati Ganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra)

Shree Mahaganapati Ranjangaon, one of the revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is a must-visit destination for devotees and travelers alike. Nestled in the serene village of Ranjangaon, approximately 50 km from Pune, this ancient temple boasts a rich history linked to Lord Shiva's invocation of Ganesha before vanquishing the demon Tripurasura.
I have visited this temple twice, and both times, it was a wonderful and spiritual experience. The temple has a peaceful and divine atmosphere, making it a must-visit for devotees of Lord Ganesha. The architecture is beautiful, and the temple premises are well-maintained. However, one thing that I did not like was the VIP darshan system. People who pay ₹100 per person get quick access, while others have to wait in long queues for 1-2 hours, and even longer (2-3 hours) on weekends. This makes it difficult for common devotees who visit with faith and devotion. Apart from that, the overall experience was great. The temple attracts a huge crowd, which shows its significance. If you plan to visit, try going on a weekday to avoid long waiting times.

🙏 Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra) श्री महागणपती मंदिर, रांजणगाव I recently had the divine opportunity to visit Shree Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon – one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. This temple is often visited as part of the full Ashtavinayak Yatra, but even if you’re visiting individually, it leaves you with a sense of divine satisfaction. 🌟 Tips for Devotees: Mobile phones and cameras are allowed, but photography inside the sanctum is restricted. Wear comfortable footwear (to be removed before entering the temple). Try the local Maharashtrian food in the nearby stalls. 🙏 A must-visit spiritual destination that combines devotion, history, and tranquility. Truly blessed to have experienced the divine presence of Mahaganapati Bappa! गणपती बाप्पा मोरया! 🙏

The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.
Akshay J — Google review
It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.
Pratiksha D — Google review
A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.
Vishal S — Google review
It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.
Sam R — Google review
Beautiful temple and garden. Easily accessible from the main highway. Sometimes it is crowded. Its one of the Ashtvinayak temple.
Dipali W — Google review
One of the Ashtavinayak and nearer to Pune ... takes around 1hr drive from Wagholi. Darshan takes around an hour Max but it's worth it. Good arrangement by the temple trust. Good crowd management. Security. Food options available there are kinda limited but that's okay. Ganapati Bappa Morya

Fortress
Nestled in the heart of Ahmednagar, the historic Ahmednagar Fort is a captivating destination that beckons history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This centuries-old fortress, originally built in the 16th century during the reign of the Ahmednagar Sultanate, boasts impressive architecture and a rich tapestry of stories from various rulers and dynasties. Once a prison for Indian independence leaders in the 1940s under British rule, it has witnessed countless invasions throughout its storied past.
One of the oldest forts in India. It has Nizam Shahi architecture and was the headquarters of the Ahmednagar Sultanate.
CYBER F — Google review
Only a certain portion of the fort is open to public.. army area.. parking available within the fort .. not maintained properly.. no tickets.. free entry.. 1. Foundation and Architectural Style: The fort was constructed around 1559 CE during the reign of Malik Ahmad Nizam Shah. Its architecture is a blend of medieval Indian military fortifications, with high walls, bastions, and a surrounding moat. It was designed to serve as a military stronghold and withstand sieges. The circular design with 24 bastions makes it one of the most formidable forts of its time. 2. Role in the Deccan Sultanates: Ahmednagar Fort was the seat of power for the Nizam Shahi dynasty of the Deccan region. It was central to their control over the Deccan Plateau and saw numerous battles during the wars between the Sultanates of Bijapur, Golconda, and the Mughal Empire. 3. Conflict with the Mughals: In 1600, the fort became the site of intense conflict when the Mughal Emperor Akbar laid siege to it. Chand Bibi, the queen regent of Ahmednagar, famously defended the fort against Akbar’s forces. However, the fort eventually fell to the Mughals, marking the decline of the Nizam Shahi dynasty. Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, also used Ahmednagar Fort during his campaigns to subdue the Marathas. 4. Role during British Rule: The fort gained renewed significance during the British colonial period. It was used as a prison by the British to detain several Indian freedom fighters during the independence movement. Most notably, Jawaharlal Nehru, along with other leaders of the Indian National Congress, was imprisoned in Ahmednagar Fort in 1942 during the Quit India Movement. Nehru wrote his famous book, "The Discovery of India," while incarcerated here

Good things about the place: - serene, calm - not crowded - easy to reach - battle tank museum on the way - place to take wonderful photos - interesting architecture not so good: - students and ppl making reels all the time - the place doesn't give a good vibe - but it's historical

Good place to visit to study history. We saw the prison where great leader where there. Good spot for photography but I don't think children will enjoy

One of the oldest first in India but still in good condition as maintained by Indian Army. One can They allow to visit outer wall of the fort only and museum is open in special occasion like 15th August, 26th January. The fort is in circular shape and one can walk the entire outer wall on the walkway made on the top of the wall.
Kousick H — Google review
The Ahmednagar fort is a small fort occupied by military. Military allows visit of fort free. The structures inside fort are in dilapidated condition in absence of maintenance. The wall of fort is strong and one can walk on the wall of fort. It takes maximum one hour to complete tour of fort
Ravi S — Google review
The fort was built during A.D. 1553 to A.D. 1565. The fort has 24 bastions, one large gate and some other gates. The fort has seen many handovers of powers from Nizams to Mughals to Peshwa and to British emperors finally coming under regulation of India post independence. This is very strong fort on ground and was difficult to conquer in the history. It is quite large and some area can be seen by general public as rest of the area is army camp. During Aug 1942 to April 1945, Indian political leaders were kept as interns of this fort which was converted to British jail that time.. View from fort wall is very nice. Feel very proud to see big tricolor flag on the wall ! You can go to tank museum which is nearby (approx 3 km from fort)
Arun A — Google review
This is over 500 years old fort. It's now open to see it , just that we need to keep our id card at the entrance and need to pick it up once you are done. Octagonal Palace is a nice architectural monument. Leaders block is a place where many of the freedom fighters were prisoned from 1942- 1945. Our first prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his famous book Discovery of India in this prison. They have many self explanatory boards. One can walk on the walls of the fort. It's nice panoramic view. Very quite place.

🌸 Shirdi Sai Baba: A Divine Beacon of Peace and Spiritual Awakening 🌸 In the sacred town of Shirdi, nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, stands a holy sanctuary — the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple — a place that transcends religion, caste, and creed. It is not just a temple made of stone and mortar; it is a living realm of divinity, compassion, and universal brotherhood. People from all walks of life, regardless of their background, are drawn here in search of peace, healing, and inner transformation. Sai Baba of Shirdi, revered as a Saint, Fakir, and Satguru, is the embodiment of love without conditions and faith without fear. His presence continues to inspire millions across the globe to lead lives rooted in truth, humility, and devotion. Baba never identified with any particular religion — he often said, "Sabka Malik Ek" — “God is One”. These simple yet profound words echo through time, reminding us that the divine resides in all beings. 🕊️ The World of Peace and Spiritual Harmony To step into the world of Sai Baba is to step into a space of deep inner stillness. His teachings were not filled with complex rituals or doctrines; rather, they focused on compassion, tolerance, patience, forgiveness, and faith. The very air of Shirdi carries a vibration of calmness and spiritual elevation, guiding the restless soul toward serenity. Baba taught us that true spirituality lies in selfless service, in helping others, in feeding the hungry, in comforting the grieving, and in uplifting the downtrodden. He saw no difference between rich and poor, Hindu and Muslim, or educated and uneducated — to him, all were children of the One Supreme Power. 🌿 Life Lessons from Sai Baba: Learning to Truly Live The timeless wisdom of Sai Baba is a guide to navigating the challenges of modern life with grace and dignity. Here are some of the most cherished lessons we can draw from his life: Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience): Baba constantly emphasized these two pillars. Have unshakeable faith in the Divine, and wait with patience; everything unfolds in its time. Love All, Serve All: He urged people to rise above ego and hatred and instead, serve humanity with love. Service to others is service to God. Forgive and Let Go: Holding on to anger or revenge only poisons the soul. Sai Baba often forgave even those who wronged him — a true lesson in humility and spiritual strength. Equality and Unity: Baba broke down all social and religious barriers. His very life was a message that we are all one, united under one Divine light. Contentment and Simplicity: He lived a humble life, teaching us to find joy not in material wealth, but in gratitude, simplicity, and inner contentment. --- 🙏 A Personal Journey with Baba For many devotees, Baba is more than a saint — he is a companion, guide, healer, and divine protector. Whether you're facing illness, emotional turmoil, or spiritual confusion, turning to Baba with a sincere heart brings light into the darkest moments. His presence is not bound by time or space. You may feel it in the stillness of a prayer, the kindness of a stranger, or the silent answers that come in meditation. Baba listens to every heart that calls him, and his grace flows silently yet powerfully. --- 🛕 In Closing: A Temple in the Heart While the Shirdi temple is a sacred pilgrimage for millions, the true temple of Baba is the human heart. When we live by his teachings — of love, service, and truth — we carry his spirit with us wherever we go. In doing so, we become channels of the very peace and light that Sai Baba offered to the world. May Sai Baba bless you and your loved ones with health, harmony, guidance, and unwavering faith. May his light shine on your path and lead you to the divine peace that resides within. 🕉️ Om Sai Ram! 🕉️

There are many gates to enter the temple but if you want to have a free darshan then enter from gate no. 7. The charge for VIP darshan is 200 rupees. You have to deposit your mobile in the clock room where the charge is 5 rupees per phone. You get darshan in 30 minutes. The management is very good, there is a provision to sit in the line inside and there is also a washroom and there is also a provision for many fan coller..

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a peaceful and divine place to visit. Near Gate 6, you’ll find mobile lockers available for just Rs 5 per phone, along with free shoe stands. For free darshan, head to Gate 7, which you can reach from Dwarkamai Temple, if Dwarkamai is in front of you, go left and take the first right. You’ll pass the mobile lockers first, and then Gate 7 is right there. On weekends, the wait time for free darshan is usually around 3 hours, and the entire process can take 3-4 hours. We also visited once on a Monday morning around 6 AM, and it only took about 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete Darshan. If you prefer paid darshan, you can either book online in advance or book near temple, enter through Gate 6 when you arrive. Wait time is much lesser than free Darshan but it'll still take almost 2 if crowded. Inside the temple, there is usually some waiting time before darshan, so visitors are asked to sit in waiting halls. Opposite these halls, there’s a counter where you can get free unlimited tea and biscuits. They also sell chips and water at prices much lower than market rate. After darshan, don’t forget to pick up your free food coupons next to the neem tree. Near the exit, you will also receive packets of prasad and vibhooti. Additionally, there’s a laddu counter near the lendi garden entry, opposite the neem tree, where you can get the famous Shirdi laddu.
