This is a must visit museum in the city of Bagalkot! It archives some of the best moments in the history of development of UKP (Upper Krishna Projevt), Bagalkot Nava Nagar, and the historical heritage sites of the region. Very spacious, sufficiently lit and well ventilated. Has lots of articles of interest. Facilities of drinking water and clean restrooms are available at the premise. There is still scope for improving this museum and attracting a larger crowd. A great day for school outings and family picnic can be planned.

One best place for visit our family.. So beautiful of village nature and old stones and statues and old coins all available for sawing
Arjun C — Google review
The museum contains information about Anthropological aspects related to different festivals of north and south Karnataka, live stiles of rural societies, cattle raring and different occupations along with human size live modals. other than that the museum also holds picture expeditions about dams all around Karnataka, historical artifacts, coin and stamp collection and stone sculptures of pre historic times. Fun and learning place for School trips.
ABHISHEK S — Google review
The museum is located in Navanagara close to DC office and City Municipal Council. The entry fee is ₹10 which is really reasonable. The place could be well maintained. The artifacts and sculptures are worth a watch. The lifestyle and history of the city of BAGALKOTE is brought up well by the sculptures. If you are around the city and want to spend some quality time pls do visit the Museum. Parking wise there is good parking space for both 2 and 4 wheelers. Auto also is available from and to Bus Stop which is near by around 1-1.5km

Bara Kaman

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Built for Ali Adil Shah II, this unfinished 1600s burial mausoleum features 12 horizontal arches.
Behind this tourist place having great story about father and son, Adilsha
Santhosh K — Google review
Bara Kaman is one of the most fascinating monuments I have visited in Karnataka. These grand stone arches, built in the 17th century, were originally part of an ambitious mausoleum planned by Ali Adil Shah II of the Adil Shahi dynasty. Although the construction was never completed, the remains are breathtaking and still showcase the brilliance of Indo-Islamic architecture. Walking through the site feels like stepping back in time – the massive basalt stone arches create dramatic frames against the blue sky, and the symmetry of the design gives a glimpse of how majestic this structure would have been if completed. The site also contains several tombs, including that of Ali Adil Shah himself. What makes Bara Kaman truly special is the combination of history, mystery, and architectural grandeur. The ruins are beautifully preserved, and the atmosphere is peaceful, making it a great place for photography, heritage exploration, or simply enjoying the silence of history. It’s located right in the city of Vijayapura, and very accessible. I highly recommend visiting if you’re exploring Bijapur’s other iconic landmarks like Gol Gumbaz and Ibrahim Rauza.
Prannoy S — Google review
There is no entry fee and the monument is open from sunrise (or 8:00 AM) until sunset (or 6:00 PM), making it suitable for a brief stop (about one hour is enough). The approach road can be crowded and parking might be tricky, so autos and cabs are more convenient than personal vehicles. The monument is well maintained, surrounded by gardens, and is highly photogenic.
Kashmira V — Google review
Beautiful place, very photogenic spot in Vijaypur, recommended to go on mid day for blue sky baground
Prem S — Google review
it is an unfinished structure…. It was planned that twelve arches would be placed vertically as well as horizontally surrounding the tomb of Ali Adil Shah. However, for unknown reasons the work on the structure was left incomplete: only two arches were raised vertically. built in 1672AD, by Ali Adil Shah II, and was supposed to be the burial mausoleum for the king and his wives. Bara Kaman has the tombs of Ali Adil Shah II, his wife Chand Bibi, his mistresses and his daughters. no entry ticket
Srawan K — Google review
Unfinished yet captivating Commissioned in 1672 AD by Ali Adil Shah II, Bara Kaman was intended to have twelve arches arranged both vertically and horizontally, surrounding the tomb of the king and his consorts. However, construction was halted—possibly so its shadow wouldn't eclipse the Gol Gumbaz. Today, only a few arches remain, offering a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into ambitious architectural planning . Free to visit, but somewhat tucked away There's no entry fee, and the site is open throughout the day . Located in a narrow, busy lane in the heart of the city, it's often easy to miss . Great for quick visits and photos Reviews describe it as a “short but worthwhile stop,” especially for history aficionados or photography lovers . One traveler remarked: “Incomplete yet majestic — visit in the evening to avoid harsh sun” . Maintenance and parking caveats Some reviews point out limited upkeep, though many find the structure’s rustic charm part of its appeal . Additionally, parking is challenging—narrow lanes and a T-junction setting make it easier to park on nearby main roads and walk to the site . --- Snapshot: Visitor Insights Aspect Highlights Why Visit A fascinating, unfinished Indo‑Islamic monument with haunting architectural beauty Ideal Visit Time Evening is best—to avoid heat and capture dramatic light Entry Details No fee; accessible throughout the day Logistics Central location, narrow access roads, minimal parking Best For History buffs, architecture lovers, photographers, quick cultural stops
Shihabuddeen M — Google review
Nestled in the middle of the city within the labyrinth of market streets. Not many people. Free entry
Nishant K — Google review
Bara Kaman is a fascinating and somewhat haunting monument that offers a glimpse into the architectural ambitions of its time. The unfinished arches create a powerful silhouette against the sky, and the layout gives you a sense of the scale and vision that went into its construction. There's a quiet, almost mysterious feel to the place — not crowded, and ideal if you enjoy exploring historical sites at your own pace. Perfect for a quick stop — just enough time to walk around, snap a few photos, and leave with a sense of wonder. Don’t miss it if you're passing through!

Solapur Bhuikot Fort

Mentioned on

Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Solapur Bhuikot Fort, also known as Solapur Fort, is a historic 14th-century fort located in Solapur, Maharashtra. Built during the Bijapur Sultanate, it showcases impressive architectural and technical skills. Despite its rich history, the fort suffers from poor maintenance and lacks facilities for visitors. However, the surrounding gardens and scenic views make it an enjoyable destination for history enthusiasts and architecture lovers.
"A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Solapur" This fort is truly a hidden gem in the middle of Solapur city. While it may not always get the appreciation it deserves from the locals, history enthusiasts will definitely find it fascinating. The architecture and historical significance make it worth a visit. However, while the fort is maintained by the authorities, the upkeep is not up to the mark. With better preservation efforts, it could become a prime attraction. Despite that, it’s a great spot for history lovers looking to explore something unique in Solapur.
Harshal G — Google review
A Piece of History Waiting to Shine Located right in the heart of Solapur, next to Siddheshwar Temple and Hutatma Park, this old fort built by the Bahmani dynasty carries a lot of history. The entry ticket is just ₹20, but you’ll need to book it online or pay via UPI – no offline cash option, which makes it difficult for some visitors. Once inside, you’ll see the potential this place has. The huge fort walls still stand strong, and the view of the lake and temple from the top is truly beautiful. There are a few structures still intact, and a big open park area inside. Sadly, it's not well maintained – overgrown grass, dry fountains, and signs of neglect are visible. Basic facilities are there, and since it’s centrally located, shops and food are easily available outside. The fort could easily become a major tourist spot if cleaned and managed properly. For now, it’s a quiet place for a short walk and to take in some local history. If you're interested in heritage sites, it’s worth a one-time visit. #SolapurFort #HeritageSite #SolapurDiaries #HiddenHistory #NeedBetterMaintenance #BahmaniArchitecture #LocalHistory #CityViews #WeekendExplore

This is my hometown, Solapur. This Bhuikot Fort is very ancient and proud structure for us. From the early childhood we have been a frequent visitor here. I visited here again just to relive the memories but it's sad to see it not being maintained properly. Being such an ancient figure it must be properly maintained. But everyone must visit it once.
Sandhya G — Google review
Bhuikot Fort is so named because it was built on a flat piece of land, rather than on a mountain. It is a historic fort located in Solapur, constructed in the 14th century by the Bahmani dynasty. Over the years, the fort came under the control of several rulers, including the Bahmani dynasty, Aurangzeb, the Nizams of Hyderabad, and the Marathas. It is believed that Mughal emperor Aurangzeb resided here for several years. Later, the fort came under the administration of the Nizams of Hyderabad and the Marathas. The fort is also known as "Shivpattan" and was a key location during the Battle of Kharda in 1795. Today, the fort is in a state of ruin and lacks proper maintenance.
Suhas P — Google review
The Bhuikot Fort in Solapur is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape amidst the hustle and bustle of the growing city. The interiors have been transformed into a lush garden, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature and enjoy some quiet moments. The well-maintained greenery provides a refreshing ambiance that is perfect for relaxation or a peaceful walk. Despite the beauty of the gardens, the fort as a whole could benefit from more comprehensive maintenance. The historical significance of the fort deserves better preservation, and with some care, this spot could truly shine as a prominent attraction in Solapur. However, the existing charm of the place still makes it worth visiting. There is a small entry fee, but the experience of immersing yourself in the blend of history and nature makes it worthwhile. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or just looking for a peaceful getaway within the city, the Bhuikot Fort offers a unique experience that shouldn’t be missed.

STARLORD S — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. The theatre has some of the worst seating I've ever seen — uncomfortable, poorly maintained, and not worth the ticket price at all. Honestly, this cinema hall isn't worth more than ₹100, and even that feels generous given the condition. Would not recommend. . 😠😠😠

Vishnupad temple

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Vishnupad Temple is a divine and spiritually significant place located about 2 kilometers from Pandharpur, in the serene Chandrabhaga riverbed. According to legend, before Pandharpur existed, a demon named Gayasur, who was a great devotee and ascetic, resided here. It is believed that the mere sight of Gayasur granted salvation even to the gravest sinners, preventing souls from reaching Yamalok (the abode of Yama, the god of death). Concerned about this, Yama appealed to Lord Brahma, who, with Lord Vishnu's help, sent Gayasur to the netherworld. The spot where Lord Vishnu's feet touched the ground became Vishnupad, holding immense spiritual importance. The temple also has a sacred connection to Lord Krishna. It is believed that when Goddess Rukmini, upset with Lord Krishna, came to Pandharpur, Krishna followed her and performed *Gopal Kala* here, playing his flute. This is why Krishna's footprints can also be seen at Vishnupad. Additionally, it is said that when Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj took *Sanjeevan Samadhi*, Lord Pandurang, filled with sorrow, moved to Vishnupad in the *Margashirsha* month. Even today, devotees believe that Lord Pandurang resides at Vishnupad during this period, and all the rituals and prayers are performed here throughout the month. This rich history and spiritual significance make Vishnupad Temple a must-visit for devotees. The serene environment and divine energy of this place leave one feeling blessed and peaceful. Do not miss visiting this sacred spot when in Pandharpur. 🙏 Jai Hari 🙏

There's a square mandir in the Chandrabhaga/Bhima river at Gopalpur which is connected by a old stone bridge. In the mandir there's revered Vishnu pada. When the river swells during rainy season the three fourths of mandir and the bridge gets submerged in water
Balaji B — Google review
The Vishnupad Temple is located right on the banks of the Bhima River, extremely close to the water. During high monsoon flow, darshan becomes impossible — and today was one such day. Due to the excessive water level, even boat services to the temple were not operating. This was my first time seeing the temple, and it's situated further inward from the riverbank. Right now, the entire temple is submerged in water, with only the rooftop visible. I hope to return again someday when the water level is normal and have the opportunity for full darshan.
Hari R — Google review
Beautiful temple housing the footprints (Pada) of Lord Vishnu and Krishna on the banks of Chandrabhaga river near to Gopalpur. Also visit the small temple of Janabai which is just few metres away.

Vishnu pad ✨✨ It was my backpacking trip to Pandharpur & Badami. We rome around the market & then we went for a boat ride in Chandrabhaga River. The river is very dirty and water is not at all potable, so I would advise you to carry enough drinking water. We started our boat ride from main Ghat to Vishnupad temple at 3:30 pm. It takes around 30 mins by boat to reach dere. I asked boatwala to ferry slow bcause there too many birds to be spotted. I spotted many Terns, Kingfishers, Brahmini Kites and many more. The boat ride was soothing. The ghat looked awesome. We reached Vishnupad Temple & stayed there for an hour. The permenant Swollow bird nest was amazing. There were 100s of Swollows flying around. The place is peaceful. It was about to sunset so we came by Boat. The sunset looked stunning from the middle of River.Vishnupad Mandir is called so as it is believed to feature a 40-cm-long footprint of Lord Vishnu in a basalt rock. As the story goes, Lord Vishnu killed demon Gayasur at this place by stamping his foot on his chest. After Lord Vishnu pushed the demon under the earth with his foot, his footprint was retained in a rock.Though the origin of the temple is unknown, it is believed that Ahilya Bai Holkar, the queen of Indore, had the present octagonal shrine built in 1787.The temple is located on the banks of Falgu river and draws devotees from across the country. Within the courtyard of the complex, lie other temples dedicated to Lord Narasimha and Lord Shiva in the avatar of Phalgwisvara. These temples are significant places of Hindu worship.

Vinitraj S — Google review
Situated on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River, the Vishnupad Temple is connected to the mainland via a ramp. Its architectural design features a grand open hall structure supported by sixteen majestic pillars. These pillars depict various postures of Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu. Inside the temple, one can find different stones with depictions of Lord Vishnu's footprints in various poses, including crossed legs or standing on both feet. Interestingly, being situated in the middle of the river, the temple's footprints are partially submerged in water, with the water level rising during the monsoon season.

Shree Pundalik Mandir

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Bhakta Pundalik is closely associated with Lord Vithoba (Vitthal), a form of Lord Krishna or Vishnu. According to legend, Pundalik was a devoted son who served his elderly parents with utmost dedication. When Lord Vitthal appeared at his doorstep, Pundalik, engrossed in his service to his parents, offered a brick (brick = "Vit" in Marathi) for the Lord to stand on. Pleased with his devotion, Vitthal remained there, and this spot later became the famous Pandharpur temple, a major pilgrimage site in Maharastra.
SHRAVAN M — Google review
Pundalik Temple in Pandharpur is a monument to the devotion of his service to his parents. According to legend, Pundalik was a devoted son who served his parents with the utmost care. Once, he was visited by Lord Vishnu, who came to bless him for his service. However, Pundalik was busy attending to his parents and asked Lord Vishnu to wait outside on a brick. Vishnu was impressed by his devotion and agreed to wait. Pundalik later came out and apologized to Vishnu for making him wait. Vishnu was pleased with his humility and asked him what he wanted as a boon. Pundalik requested Vishnu to stay on the brick and bless all his devotees who came to Pandharpur. Vishnu agreed and took the form of Vitthal, standing on the brick with his hands on his hips.

It is a simple small temple of Bhakt Pundalik , to whom bhagwan Krishna visited in Vitthal form. Temple is on Chandrabhaga river bank and beautiful view of river are visible.
Vishal S — Google review
While visiting the main temple of Vitthal Rukmini one can visit this ancient temple located on the banks of river Chandrabagha. The temple and idol are very old and are revered by the locals. Area surrounding is not clean especially the surface is uneven with sharp stone granules . There is no chappal stand etc . Aged people should avoid , as they have climb lot of steps up / down to go the temple location in the river from main road.
Jayashree A — Google review
Exactly on the river banks Road leading to this place is quite narrow and neatness is a question mark

Hare Krishna! The ISKCON Temple in Pandharpur is a peaceful and spiritually uplifting place. Surrounded by serene vibes and filled with divine chants, the temple offers a perfect space for devotion and reflection. The deities are beautifully adorned, and the temple premises are clean and well-maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming, with regular kirtans, aarti, and prasadam that enhance the spiritual experience. It’s a wonderful place to connect with Lord Krishna and feel a deep sense of inner peace. A must-visit for devotees and anyone seeking tranquility in the holy town of Pandharpur.

A beautiful Radha-Krishna Iskon temple is located on the banks of the Chandrabhaga river. I visited this place in the afternoon on the weekend no rush was there. It has the same vibe as all the Iskon temples but the backside is very beautiful. On the banks of Chandrabhaga dome shaped structures are built where you can sit, take photos and enjoy the view. If one wants to swim they can do that also. We got prasadam containing mix dal khichdi which was delicious.

Hare krishna! Very nice place. On the banks of chandrabhaga river it is a very calm and quiet place . Must visit. A sprawling new temple complex is coming up. The guest house is also great at a very nominal price. Only the food at the Govinda restaurant must improve. It is not up to the Govinda restaurant standard which I have had in many places. This temple is on the opposite side of the main pandharpur Temple.

Beautiful and a place to stay to get connected with self. Surrounded by nature and the divine atmosphere. You can opt for sitting at ghat in the morning or evening also. This is opposite the river bank of Pandharpur, and lord Vitthala temple can be commuted by auto.

It's very nice place, just going there road is not good but place is very calm and beautiful, Must visit when you go Pandharpur. First go there take a bath and then go to visit panduranga.
Amol G — Google review
Visited ISKCON Pandharpur recently and it was a truly beautiful and peaceful experience. We reached the temple by taking a 10-minute boat ride across the Chandrabhaga river, which cost ₹100 for two people — a scenic and enjoyable way to arrive. The temple premises are currently under construction, and from the scale of it, it looks like it's going to be one of the largest and most grand ISKCON temples in the country. Even in its current phase, the space is clean, well-managed, and spiritually uplifting. We had breakfast at the food stall inside the premises — it was hygienic, tasty, and very budget-friendly. There's also a beautiful gaushala (cow shelter) that adds to the peaceful, devotional vibe of the place. We took darshan of Radha Krishna, and they looked absolutely divine and surreal. There was a katha session going on since it was Sunday, which added to the spiritual atmosphere. The devotees and volunteers were warm and welcoming. Overall, a soulful experience and a must-visit when you're in Pandharpur. I look forward to visiting again once the full construction is complete — it's going to be something truly grand!

unique spiritual center in Pandharpur, Sant Kaikadi Maharaj Math offers a blend of devotion and education. The temple features underground pathways showcasing scenes from Hindu epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, along with statues of saints and deities. Visitors can explore these exhibits, which provide insights into ancient Hindu teachings. The math is also dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, highlighting craftsmanship and divine knowledge. It's a must-visit for those interested in spiritual learning and cultural heritage.

1. **Historical Temples**: Reviews often focus on the significance and history of the temple. For example, reviews for Angkor Wat in Cambodia highlight its impressive architecture and historical importance. 2. **Architectural Temples**: Reviews of temples like the Parthenon in Greece or the Sagrada Familia in Spain emphasize design, construction techniques, and artistic elements. 3. **Spiritual Temples**: Reviews here can include personal experiences, the atmosphere of the temple, and its role in the local community. Temples such as the Golden Temple in India often receive praise for their serene environment and spiritual ambiance.

You have to walk bare foot on dirty road in photo. There is an Exit pawati of 50/- worst place in pandharpur

So many stone/ clay statues depicting various Rishis, Saints, Bhakts painted nicely and arranged in a good order. Very large place and educative for children as well. It can easily take 1 to 1 1/2 hourto see all. The walk passages are full of high steps and narrow alleys with no exit mid way. One should not miss seeing this place.

Special mention to Ravi for making the stay so comfortable with a detailed Vineyard tour. Really impressed with the staff. Kudos!!

I had a wonderful experience at Fratelli Vineyard! The stay was truly relaxing — the rooms were clean, cozy, and well-appointed with a beautiful view of the vineyard. The food was a highlight: delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, perfectly complementing their excellent wines. The staff were warm and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. The location itself is stunning — peaceful, scenic, and a perfect getaway for wine lovers or anyone looking to unwind in nature. Highly recommended for a serene escape with great food and wine! A special shoutout to Mr. Ravi who attended us, for his exceptional service — he was warm, attentive, and made our visit even more memorable.

Thank you Fratelli Wines for the amazing experience! We stayed there for 2 nights and I must say the place is just wow!!! It's an experience you will never forget! A special shoutout to Ravi for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We loved everything from the beautiful stay and the yummiest food to the farm tour and the stunning Machan view. It was all just perfect!

This was my third trip to Fratelli vineyard and I must say that my experience gets better with every trip. To begin with the roads are getting better and broader and hence easier to drive. The addition of new wines are great, the new M/S range is so good. The room cleanliness and staff has greatly improved and I would give them a 10 on 10 rating for that. Special mention to Bhola who made a very sincere effort to cook as per our requirements and of course Ravi who helped with everything from wine tasting to drive to the machan and also the distillery. Overall a great trip

We visited the vineyard store to buy some wine. The collection is good with some interesting variations. They have also introduced cans for ease of use. The staff was courteous and helpful. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
Abhay H — Google review
What more can I say about Fratelli Wineyards that hasn't already been said by all the 5 star reviews? We had visited as a family of 7 which had 4 adults and 3 children. The experience here was unbelievably customized for us, since we were the only ones staying there apart from their consultants. They have exactly four rooms, of which two are usually occupied by the shareholders and the remaining two are open for guests. The rooms are huge, airy, immaculately maintained and modern. The washrooms are clean, spacious and well-maintained with all the necessary toiletries. Both the rooms open out into a long, flowing common garden where kids can play badminton or frisbee or whatever you bring along. Initially, the property was so tastefully developed by the shareholders for themselves that they decided to extend their experience to guests. So this includes kitchen staff ready at (only) your service, ready to make any cuisine you prefer. We had delicious Maharshtrian food once and Italian food in our next meal (they make good Italian food since one of their shareholders is Italian). Bhola, Maushi and others in the kitchen are very humble and pay attention only to you, since again, there are no other guests except you. One thing we noted, was that everyone from the front office, houskeeping, factory staff, kitchen staff, managers, etc...are all deeply attached to the owners, respect them and stand by them for the way they treat their staff and also for the social work they have done in the villages in the vicinity, such as adopting an entire village, construction of schools, making sustainable water management systems for villagers, sponsoring the education of children, buying grape produce from third party farmers at respectable prices and overall for creating sustainable employment among the local population. This respect in turn, flows down in the way the staff treats their guests. We visited their machan on the day of our arrival. We were driven there in an open-hood Tata Xenon pickup through lush green fields of sugarcane, banana and grape. We enjoyed every minute of the 45 minute off-road ride. The machan, a big hall tastefully made of cane and bamboo, is on a hilltop overseeing hundreds of acres of grape cultivation. The hilltop is tastefully landscaped too. We reached just before sunset. What followed was an experience to remember for a lifetime. The sun was setting in all its glory and we had a direct view of it setting in between distant hills. All this while while having wine, cheese, crackers, coffee and other snacks brought along by our driver. By the time the sun had almost set, we glanced over our shoulder and saw that the blood moon had already risen over the horizon at the same time on the opposite side! No lights anywhere, no noise...just a serene, peaceful and magical moment. After sunset, we went back to the hotel, enjoying the blood moon from our open-top SUV all the way. When we got back, we had a sumptuous dinner after which the kids watched an animation movie on the big-screen TV, chilling in Lazyboy chairs amd cushy sofas. We adults played a little pool nearby. The next day we were given a tour of the entire factory and operations, along with a drive in their vintage Mahindra through the grape fields. The property is very kid-friendly and has a few sports equipments on offer, a few bicycles and a quad bike ride, along with an big open lawn to play on. The experience at Fratelli is one we will never forget and will definitely come।back for, hopefully this monsoon. For the future, they have plans to tie up with Taj for a world-class tourist facility on a hilltop overseeing their grape fields. As it stands, their existing facility itself is so mesmerising and staff so magnanimous, that we are sure they be successful in their future ventures.

Prominent 18th-century Hindu temple & pilgrimage site featuring sculptures of Ganesha, plus a tower.
A very peaceful and divine place. The temple is well maintained, and the darshan feels calm and unhurried. You can really feel the positive energy here — a must-visit if you’re in Morgaon.
Digvijay — Google review
Visited Temple on Sunday. There was rush but however darshan was done within 15 minutes. There were 2 parkings. One with 200m away from temple.Rs 50 parking fee for four wheeler. Prasad was good. Pooja thali was for Rs 60.
Prajakta S — Google review
We recently visited Mayureshwar Ganpati Mandir at Morgaon, and honestly, it was such a peaceful and divine experience. We reached early in the morning around 5:30 AM, so luckily there was no waiting at all - we got direct darshan without any crowd. The atmosphere at that time was so calm - the sound of bells, a gentle breeze, and that early morning silence just made everything feel so spiritual. The temple is clean and beautifully maintained, and the Ganpati idol looks truly divine. There are a few shops outside for prasad & flowers but they were closed since we reached very early in the morning ... Parking space is also available, and tea stalls were open at that time, early in the morning.... If you're planning to visit, I'd definitely suggest going early morning for a peaceful and fulfilling darshan. Truly a beautiful and soul-soothing experience! 🙏✨

I visited the temple on Tuesday and had a wonderful experience. The darshan of Ganeshji was truly divine and peaceful. What made it even better was that there was no rush or crowd, which allowed me to spend some serene time in devotion and soak in the spiritual atmosphere.

One off the Ganapati temple from Shree Ashtavinayak. Its based in Morgaon, the temple has great history. Temple is built in ancient times but is still in great condition, many pilgrims visit here daily. Lot of shops nearby temple. Its well maintained.
Atul G — Google review
Significance: First and most important temple in the Ashtavinayak circuit. It is believed that pilgrimage should start and end here Architecture & Ambience The temple is built in black stone with a distinctive Nagarkhana (music gallery) at the entrance. Surrounded by four gates in the shape of a peacock (hence the name Mayureshwar). The main sanctum is calm, with the idol facing north, which is rare in Ganpati temples. The idol is considered Swayambhu (self-manifested), adorned with a Nag (serpent) and a diamond in the navel. Experience Spiritual Vibe: Very serene and deeply devotional atmosphere. Crowd: Moderate on weekdays, heavy during weekends and Ganesh Chaturthi. Darshan Time: Quick on normal days (10-15 minutes), but expect queues during festivals. Cleanliness: Overall good, maintained by the trust. Facilities Parking: Available near the temple. Food: Small eateries and prasad shops nearby. Stay: Few basic lodging options around; Pune city (~65 km) has better choices. Shops: Plenty of pooja and prasad shops at the entrance. Best Time to Visit Early morning for peaceful darshan. Avoid peak festivals if you prefer less crowd.

Shri Khandoba Temple Jejuri

Walled temple with multicolored towers & 2 hilltop shrines, where devotees spread turmeric powder.
A Truly Divine Experience at Shri Khandoba Temple, Jejuri My recent visit to the Shri Khandoba Temple in Jejuri was nothing short of a divine and profoundly uplifting experience. Nestled atop a hill, this sacred abode of Lord Khandoba truly captivates the soul with its spiritual aura and vibrant atmosphere. What truly sets Jejuri apart is the incredible tradition of "Bhandara." Witnessing devotees enthusiastically shower the deity and the temple premises with copious amounts of turmeric powder creates a mesmerizing spectacle. The entire complex is bathed in a golden hue, a tangible expression of devotion that invigorates the senses and fills the air with a unique, spiritual energy. It's an unforgettable visual and sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression. The temple's architecture, with its unique Hemadpanthi style blending stone and brick, is a testament to its rich history and cultural heritage. Despite the bustling crowds, especially on weekends, I found moments of profound peace within the sanctum. The friendly demeanor of the staff and volunteers further enhanced the visit, making it a welcoming place for all.

Lord shiva temple is especially famous for new weds coming here to seek a blissful life. The turmeric powder holi is a unique tradition of this temple where all devotees offer turmeric powder to lord shiva and also pour turmeric in the air. You will have to cross hundred stairs to reach to this ancient temple but it's totally worth. The energy and vibes at the top are simply amazing.

"Jejuri Khandoba Temple is truly a divine and spiritual place. Located on a hilltop, it requires climbing around 400-450 steps, but the journey itself feels very peaceful and energizing. The view from the top is beautiful, and the temple atmosphere is filled with positivity.

I recently visited Khandoba temple at Jejuri as Khandoba is out deity and we often visit this place to take blessings , this time I went with my father and we decided to take steps to climb up the fort as kid I visited but this time it was bit difficult for my father as he is 60+ now but it took us like 30 min to climb up we took breaks to have water in between but when we reached up it was all worth it despite Sunday the number of visitors were less , we got the darshan and then we proceeded back to pune , only issue is that you will find rikshaws easily , and food availability is less like less options are there .
DEVDATTA B — Google review
Newly married couples 💑 come here to seek blessings from Lord Khandoba as they begin their life journey together. Traditionally, the husband carries his wife up at least the first five steps of the temple. Turmeric powder, known as bhandara, is spread all over the temple, giving it a golden look. When devotees throw turmeric into the air as an offering to the deity, it creates a truly amazing sight.🌫️ Note: 1. After darshan, when exiting from the left side, you will notice two people sitting near the exit gate inside the temple. Be cautious—they call out to you, ask your name, and request a donation in the name of God. You’ll see ₹200–₹500 notes in front of them. It’s best to avoid engaging with them. 2. It's advisable to stay away from local pandits, as some may try to extract money from you. 3. After the darshan, you can visit the place where Shahaji Raje and Shivaji Maharaj met.

Bhuleshwar Temple

Mentioned on

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Located in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India, Bhuleshwar Temple is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Constructed during the 12th century under the Yadava dynasty, it is renowned for its ancient architecture and tranquil surroundings. The name "Bhuleshwar" originates from "Bhul," meaning "forget," and "Ishwar," meaning "Lord," symbolizing Lord Shiva as the forgiver of sins.
Bhuleshwar Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The temple is very old and built in a traditional style, which gives it a unique charm. The surroundings of the temple are very clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall calm and serene experience. The architecture of the temple is truly impressive, with intricate designs and carvings. However, some of the fine carvings and small statues on the temple walls are in a damaged condition, which is a bit disappointing considering the heritage value. Despite that, the temple atmosphere is very pleasant and peaceful. There is free parking available for both cars and bikes, which is a great convenience for visitors. Overall, it's a must-visit place for those who appreciate history, architecture, and tranquility.
Harshad P — Google review
A truly divine and peaceful experience. The moment you step onto the premises of Bhuleshwar Temple, you are immediately met with a sense of calm. The ancient architecture is stunning and intricate, but it is the atmosphere of serenity that truly stands out. It's a perfect place to pause, reflect, and find tranquility away from the city's hustle. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a spiritual and quiet retreat! 5/5 stars.
Food S — Google review
Bhuleshwar Temple is a truly mesmerizing place super clean, peaceful, and full of ancient charm. The architecture is stunning and unique, and though it’s often said to date back to the Pandavas’ era, its intricate stone carvings on the walls and pillars feel even more timeless. The Nandi idol at the entrance is massive and beautifully sculpted. The temple remains peaceful on weekdays, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy quiet surroundings and soak in the spiritual vibe. The road to the temple is scenic, though note that there are no signboards from the highway, so it’s best to rely on Google Maps for directions. A small entry fee is collected upon arrival, and despite being centuries old, the temple is still in excellent condition. You’ll find plenty of great spots to click pictures of the temple and its surroundings. Limited parking is available for both two- and four-wheelers, so try to avoid weekends when it can get crowded. Don’t miss the guava vendors near the entrance the fruit is fresh and tasty! At times, the temple also offers delicious prasad. A few security personnel are present around the premises as well, ensuring a safe experience for visitors. Overall, Bhuleshwar Temple is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates history, architecture, and peaceful getaways around Pune.

Mind blowing architecture from the past. Apparently this mandir is made during the Vijaynagar empire. Brilliant work, peaceful vibes. A good spot to take photos too. The damaged stone structures give a glimpse of the destruction during the Mughal rule. But it's still extremely beautiful . Must visit !

One of the best and serene temple I have ever been to.. it is like a fortress on the top of the hills. Ample Parking space for 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers too.. Awesome ancient Khajuraho style architecture of the temple. Many carvings on the stone pillars and walls too.. The main shivling is on the stilt floor and again in the underground.. There is a big Nandi which is beautifully decorated. There a secret Ganpati Idol which is only visible if you see everything with faith.. Surrounding area, valley feels awesome and windy.. perfect spot to relieve stress.. The big problem is that the person selling pooja basket for Rs. 150/- which is Ridiculous ! Temple administration and ASI should look into this ASAP. Charging Rs. 50/- is more than enough for the basket without the pedha box. There are 2 routes down the temple. One is the trekking route and other one goes down in the main village in the valley. Locals use this route when the trekking route gets full during the yatra time. Parking charges for cars is Rs. 50/-. The route to the temple is really scenic.. through winding roads, hair pin bends in the ghat. There are many petrol pumps on the road. One is near the turn before the temple after the ghat. So come without worrying about petrol.. it was surprisingly crowded on the weekday around 12 pm too.. There are no washrooms. You have to do your business in the mountains and valley route below. Little problematic for ladies. Snakes can be seen on the valley route. There is a kund below the temple near the valley route. Go explore the route if you have time after taking darshan.. Drinking water is also available in tanks near the parking and temple. Check out the pics.

This place is a great destination for a visit with friends and family. The 700-year-old Shiva temple, located on the banks of a river, is entirely constructed from stone. While it gets quite hot outside, the interior of the temple remains cool. During the summer months, the river's water level tends to be low. It's a worthwhile spot to explore, and there are several nearby attractions you can visit as well, such as Jadhav Gadh, Changvateshwar, and Malhargad, making it a perfect place for a day trip.

Sangameshwar Temple is a stunning spiritual and historical destination in Saswad, offering a serene and enriching experience. Built between the 10th and 13th century, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds immense historical and cultural significance. Its location at the confluence of the Chamli and Karha rivers gives the temple its name and adds to its tranquil ambiance. The architecture is remarkable, showcasing intricate stone carvings and a design that reflects the craftsmanship of ancient times. The temple's peaceful surroundings make it an ideal spot for meditation and reflection. The gentle sound of the rivers flowing nearby enhances the overall spiritual vibe. One of the highlights of visiting Sangameshwar Temple is its untouched charm—it feels like stepping back in time. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a devotee, or someone who appreciates scenic beauty, this temple will leave a lasting impression. The temple is well-maintained and easy to access. Early mornings or evenings are the best times to visit, as the atmosphere becomes even more serene. Sitting over the confluence of Chamli and Karha river, in Saswad, this beautiful temple, dedicated to lord Shiva is a part of a cluster of many temples and Shrines lining up the river bank. Restoration and mending work is undergoing. One may find odd to see paint work on the old stonework. The two huge and beautiful "Deepmala " in the main temple are a sight to see. Jarul, Maharashtra's state tree adorns the entrance to the main temple. It will take about an hour to see all the temples in the cluster and will be a beautiful experience.

Jungle temple from the mid-1700s dedicated to Shiva, with a storied antique bell, ponds & statues.
Classic and science based temple. Live water stream and shivlinga is a magnificant connection. There is water yantra around the temple. Live water ponds having fish and turtles is other attraction as well Parking space is good for two and four wheelers. There is nice garden by the side of the temple where zip-lining and other sport activities are there. Play area for kids. Water fall trail is must watch.

Baneshwar Temple is one of those places where you feel a calm energy the moment you enter. Surrounded by dense greenery and a well-maintained garden, it’s perfect for a peaceful family outing or a short spiritual break away from the city. The temple architecture is simple but beautiful, and the atmosphere is genuinely serene. The garden area is spacious, clean, and ideal for relaxing, taking a walk, or letting kids enjoy some open space. The small stream and natural surroundings add to the charm, especially during monsoon when everything looks fresh and vibrant. Parking is usually manageable, and the place doesn’t feel overly crowded on weekdays. On weekends, it can get a bit busy, but still pleasant. The cleanliness around the temple and garden is impressive, making the visit even more enjoyable. Small hotels are available authentic marathi dish "Pthal-Bhakari n rice, but little bit costly. The Ramdara temple is a magnificent structure with a striking design, featuring steps leading down to the water and adorned with vibrant idols in prayer halls lined with columns. The overall ambience of the temple and its surroundings exudes divinity, making it a place where visitors can spend hours marveling at its beauty. In addition to the temple, there are also well-developed tourist spots and a pleasant nature walk available for exploration.
Very calm and peaceful place .. Good option for one day trip nearby Pune. The temple ambience is simple , neat and quite..The nature way is small walk. Have seating arrangements in between.. Small food shops are available outside ..Separate parking for 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler are available.. Use highway road instead of following google maps that is much better ..

RAMDARA TEMPLE – A HIDDEN GEM JUST OUTSIDE PUNE I reluctantly agreed to a friend’s plan to visit a temple a short drive away. It was a weekend, nothing planned, so I said yes. And I’m so glad I did. Ramdara Temple is unlike anything I expected—set in the middle of a pond, surrounded by water and greenery. Yes, really! It blew my mind that something this serene and beautiful exists so close to Pune, and yet hardly anyone talks about it. The temple itself is peaceful and vibrant, with colorfully painted idols and a walkway that lets you circle the entire structure. The reflections in the water, the calm atmosphere, and the gentle breeze make it feel like a retreat from the world. We had a great darshan, enjoyed a simple breakfast nearby, and were back home before midday. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause and smile—quiet, spiritual, and unexpectedly stunning. If you’re looking for a short escape that’s easy to reach and leaves you feeling refreshed, Ramdara Temple is absolutely worth the visit. Beautiful, isn’t it?

The temple place is very calm and peaceful and is located in a very scenic place. However the road to get here is not as great. Needs a lot of improvement. This place can be very good picnic spot for children and families. Late afternoons are pretty good to visit.

The idol of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman is beautifully carved, and the cleanliness of the temple area is impressive. It’s a perfect place for meditation, photography and spending quality time with family. Away from city noise, this place truly gives you spiritual vibes and mental relaxation. The walk around the lake is also soothing. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway or a spiritual break, Ramdara Temple is definitely worth visiting.

Peace of mind It's on the Solapur highway very near to the outskirts of pune. Though it is very close to the city, still it is still away from the rush and noise. From the main road it's hardly 2-3 km. With off-road ing. There we need to have some cleanliness . It's a peaceful place. Having ample parking. A little distance to walk up to the temple . The temple is in a small lake and the space is full of trees.

Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple Theur

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Hindu pilgrimage & festival site dedicated to Ganesh, with shrines, a fountain & a huge orange bell.
Chintamani Temple in Theur is one of the eight famous Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. It’s a peaceful and spiritual place, and since it’s very close to Pune, it’s a good starting point if you want to visit all Ashtavinayak temples. I went in the afternoon during a festival, so there was a big crowd. But the temple is built in such a way that it can handle many people at once. There’s a big board before the entrance where you can park your vehicle. I went on a bike, and parking was free—can’t say for cars though. Once you enter the gate, there’s a shoe stand on the left where you can leave your footwear. You can also wear slippers inside the temple area. Prasad and pooja items are available at stalls outside the temple. After visiting the temple, don’t forget to try the special Theur laddu from a small stall just outside the exit. It’s quite famous and tasty. But keep cash with you—they don’t accept online payments. Right next to it, there’s a food section where you can have a prasad meal for just ₹50. It includes chapati, dal, rice, a vegetable, and a sweet. Simple, clean, and very tasty. One thing to remember—there is no proper drinking water available inside, so carry your own water bottle. If you want to avoid crowds, early morning or evening is the best time to visit. Overall, it’s a beautiful temple with a calm vibe. A must-visit if you're planning a spiritual trip near Pune.

Had the blessing of visiting Shri Chintamani Vinayaka Temple at Theur ,one of the sacred Ashtavinayak temples. The moment you step inside, the chants and calmness wrap around you. The wooden sabha-mandap and historic Peshwa vibes make it feel timeless. Darshan was peaceful, and the prasad pedha was as divine as the experience itself. 🙏✨ Tips for Future Visitors Best time: Early morning (before 9 AM) on weekdays for a quieter darshan. Parking: Ample space nearby, but fills fast on weekends and festivals. Prasad: Try the pedha sold inside , fresh and worth it. Footwear: Dedicated storage near the entrance, carry a bag if you prefer keeping your own.

🌸 Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple, Theur – A Divine and Peaceful Experience 🌸 Shree Chintamani Temple in Theur, near Pune, is one of the sacred Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple radiates immense peace and positivity, making it a must-visit for every devotee. 🙏 The idol of Lord Ganesha (Chintamani Vinayaka) is truly divine and full of energy. The peaceful environment, soothing chants, and the temple’s historic Peshwa-era wooden architecture make it a spiritually uplifting experience. You immediately feel calm and blessed as you step inside. 🕉 Location & How to Reach: 📍 Distance from Pune City: ~25 km 🚉 Pune Railway Station: ~22 km 🚌 Nearest Bus Stop: Theur Gaon Stop (walkable distance) ✈️ Pune International Airport (Lohegaon): ~21 km away 🚗 The temple is well connected by road — you can reach by private car, cab, or two-wheeler. Regular PMPML buses also run from Pune to Theur. 🌿 About the Temple: The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, with facilities for parking, prasad, and refreshments nearby. A small bhojanalay just outside offers simple, tasty prasad meals at very reasonable prices, making it a pleasant stop for devotees. The best time to visit is early morning or during evening aarti for a more serene experience and to avoid crowds, especially during festivals. Don’t miss the famous Theur laddus sold just outside — simple, fresh, and delicious! 🚧 Note: The area immediately outside the temple has become crowded with modern construction and buildings, which block the temple’s original open view and historical charm. It would be wonderful if the surroundings could be preserved in a more traditional way to reflect its true heritage. 💫 Overall, Shree Chintamani Vinayaka Temple at Theur is a beautiful blend of devotion, serenity, and history. A visit here fills your heart with peace and divine blessings — truly a must-visit destination for spiritual seekers and devotees of Lord Ganesha. 🌺

Shree Mahaganapati Ganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra)

Shree Mahaganapati Ranjangaon, one of the revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is a must-visit destination for devotees and travelers alike. Nestled in the serene village of Ranjangaon, approximately 50 km from Pune, this ancient temple boasts a rich history linked to Lord Shiva's invocation of Ganesha before vanquishing the demon Tripurasura.
I have visited this temple twice, and both times, it was a wonderful and spiritual experience. The temple has a peaceful and divine atmosphere, making it a must-visit for devotees of Lord Ganesha. The architecture is beautiful, and the temple premises are well-maintained. However, one thing that I did not like was the VIP darshan system. People who pay ₹100 per person get quick access, while others have to wait in long queues for 1-2 hours, and even longer (2-3 hours) on weekends. This makes it difficult for common devotees who visit with faith and devotion. Apart from that, the overall experience was great. The temple attracts a huge crowd, which shows its significance. If you plan to visit, try going on a weekday to avoid long waiting times.

🙏 Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra) श्री महागणपती मंदिर, रांजणगाव I recently had the divine opportunity to visit Shree Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon – one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. This temple is often visited as part of the full Ashtavinayak Yatra, but even if you’re visiting individually, it leaves you with a sense of divine satisfaction. 🌟 Tips for Devotees: Mobile phones and cameras are allowed, but photography inside the sanctum is restricted. Wear comfortable footwear (to be removed before entering the temple). Try the local Maharashtrian food in the nearby stalls. 🙏 A must-visit spiritual destination that combines devotion, history, and tranquility. Truly blessed to have experienced the divine presence of Mahaganapati Bappa! गणपती बाप्पा मोरया! 🙏

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.
Vishal S — Google review
It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

The peaceful surroundings offer spiritual tranquility, making it an ideal spot for devotees seeking reflection and calm. However, visitors should note the dress code that prohibits shorts.
I visited this temple at 7 AM. It is big and located next to the Ahilyanagar-Pune highway. There is a small lake inside the temple, and you can enjoy boating there. There is also a Nani-Nani Park for kids. It is a good place to visit with family at any time of the day. There is enough space for sitting and praying. I suggest coming by two-wheeler because parking can be difficult during busy hours.

Nestled in the heart of Pune, the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir stands as a beacon of devotion and artistry. Visiting the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is always a divine and soul-soothing experience. Located in the heart of Pune, this temple is not just a place of worship but a symbol of devotion, culture, and tradition. The moment you step inside, you can feel an aura of peace, positivity, and spiritual energy surrounding you. The Ganpati idol here is truly magnificent — beautifully adorned with gold and intricate ornaments. The eyes of Lord Ganesha seem so lively and compassionate that one instantly feels connected and blessed. The temple management ensures that everything is well organized, from darshan queues to cleanliness and safety measures. Despite being one of the most popular temples in Maharashtra, the darshan moves smoothly thanks to the systematic arrangement and polite volunteers who guide devotees with patience and warmth. The surrounding area is also well maintained, and facilities like shoe counters and prasad distribution are handled efficiently. During festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, the entire place transforms into a vibrant celebration with lights, music, and devotion — yet the sense of discipline and organization remains intact. It’s heartwarming to see how the temple also engages in various charitable activities, helping the needy and supporting social causes throughout the year. Overall, visiting Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is a must for anyone in Pune — whether for spiritual solace, cultural significance, or simply to experience the deep devotion of countless devotees. A truly divine place that fills your heart with peace and gratitude.

I had wanted to visit Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir for a long time, and finally got the chance. Even though it was Diwali, the crowd was well-managed, and devotees were able to move around comfortably thanks to the efficient security personnel. One small improvement could be providing a tap or facility to wash hands, as we place our chappals on the stand with bare hands. Overall, the temple is well-organized, spiritually uplifting, and a must-visit for anyone coming to Pune.

SHREE DAGDUSHETH HALWAI GANPATI – PUNE’S ICONIC GANESH TEMPLE We visited the famed Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati—Pune’s answer to Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja—and were truly amazed by the authentic and wholesome vibe of the festivities. The idol is majestic, with a traditional Puneri crown that’s instantly recognizable. The temple interiors are adorned with chandeliers, and despite the crowd, the pandits are calm, making the darshan peaceful. You can even stay back for the aarti, which adds a spiritual depth to the visit. A thoughtful feature is the glass viewing section on the front wall, allowing devotees to seek blessings even from the road during rush hours. During Ganeshotsav, the idol is ceremoniously moved to a temporary mandap at the end of the road, accompanied by traditional dhol-tasha groups and grand processions full of energy and devotion. It’s not just a temple—it’s a cultural experience. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Dagdusheth Ganpati offers a glimpse into Pune’s soul, wrapped in devotion, tradition, and celebration.

One of the most beautiful temples in Pune. Visiting this temple is truly a divine experience. The moment you see Lord Ganesh, so beautifully adorned, you can instantly feel the spiritual aura and positive energy around you. Despite being crowded most of the time, the temple is managed exceptionally well, no matter when you visit, you’ll always get a peaceful darshan of Ganesh ji. There’s also a Shiva temple within the same premises, adding to the sacred atmosphere. The poojari are humble and ensure everyone receives aarti and prasad with warmth. During Ganesh Chaturthi, the temple looks absolutely magnificent. Ganesh ji is decorated in gold, and the sight is truly something else. Spending time here fills you with calmness and devotion. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visiting the Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple was a beautiful and divine experience. The temple is filled with positive energy and devotion, and the darshan feels truly special. For first-time visitors, here are a few useful tips to make your visit smooth: • Avoid taking your car directly into the temple lane. The lane is extremely congested, one-way, and located in a busy market area. You won’t find parking nearby. It’s best to park your vehicle 500 meters to 1 km away and take a rickshaw to the temple. • You can choose a fast-track darshan pass for around ₹100 to directly go for darshan. There is also a regular darshan queue behind the temple where you can go without a pass. • Photography is not allowed inside the temple. If you wish to take pictures, you must visit the temple office and get proper permission first. • There is a shoe rack facility available where you can safely keep your footwear and get a token. Overall, a wonderful and peaceful darshan experience. Just be mindful about the approach road and parking, and everything else will be absolutely blissful. Must-visit for everyone seeking blessings in Pune!

Waterfalls
Kune Falls, located about 4 km from Lonavala and 2 km from Khandala Railway Station, is a picturesque waterfall nestled in the Sahyadri range. With its dramatic tiered structure and scenic mountain views, it's a popular spot for photography and adventure enthusiasts. The falls cascade down three levels amidst thick forests and mountain bluffs, offering an enchanting visual experience.
Beautiful location.. many small waterfalls and a huge one too.. th location on Google is not exactly precise but once you reach there ask locals and you'll be at the waterfalls. Use a vehicle with proper ground clearance.

One of the Beautiful place in Lonavla. Must visit place. But you can not go near this Kune waterfalls why because it is under private property now. So we can see this from a distance at Khandala Monkey view point. The view is just Amazing. U can't get over from the view. You can find food stalls there and you can eat breakfast and lunch also.

Good place to visit for fun and joy. Road towards waterfall is very raw and cars with low ground clearance may get damaged due to big rocks on the raw road. There are many waterfalls you can enjoy on the way.

It's one of the beautiful waterfall near lonavala. You can see this from rajmachi point khandala. From old pune Mumbai highway

The directions on google maps is wrong and the actual entrance is 4kms ahead. The path to the falls is also really bad and can only be trekked. Do not take your cars. Would not recommend.

Shirdi Sai baba temple is a blissful and peaceful devotional place wherein the devotees with FAITH (Shraddha) in their heart get their wishes fulfilled. The temple premises is clean and well maintained. The prasadalay is also well maintained and you’re served food as much as you can eat. You’re not allowed waste any food. This rule should be applied everywhere so that people don’t water food. There is saying in Marathi - “Anna he purna Brahma”.

🌸 Shirdi Sai Baba: A Divine Beacon of Peace and Spiritual Awakening 🌸 In the sacred town of Shirdi, nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, stands a holy sanctuary — the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple — a place that transcends religion, caste, and creed. It is not just a temple made of stone and mortar; it is a living realm of divinity, compassion, and universal brotherhood. People from all walks of life, regardless of their background, are drawn here in search of peace, healing, and inner transformation. Sai Baba of Shirdi, revered as a Saint, Fakir, and Satguru, is the embodiment of love without conditions and faith without fear. His presence continues to inspire millions across the globe to lead lives rooted in truth, humility, and devotion. Baba never identified with any particular religion — he often said, "Sabka Malik Ek" — “God is One”. These simple yet profound words echo through time, reminding us that the divine resides in all beings. 🕊️ The World of Peace and Spiritual Harmony To step into the world of Sai Baba is to step into a space of deep inner stillness. His teachings were not filled with complex rituals or doctrines; rather, they focused on compassion, tolerance, patience, forgiveness, and faith. The very air of Shirdi carries a vibration of calmness and spiritual elevation, guiding the restless soul toward serenity. Baba taught us that true spirituality lies in selfless service, in helping others, in feeding the hungry, in comforting the grieving, and in uplifting the downtrodden. He saw no difference between rich and poor, Hindu and Muslim, or educated and uneducated — to him, all were children of the One Supreme Power. 🌿 Life Lessons from Sai Baba: Learning to Truly Live The timeless wisdom of Sai Baba is a guide to navigating the challenges of modern life with grace and dignity. Here are some of the most cherished lessons we can draw from his life: Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience): Baba constantly emphasized these two pillars. Have unshakeable faith in the Divine, and wait with patience; everything unfolds in its time. Love All, Serve All: He urged people to rise above ego and hatred and instead, serve humanity with love. Service to others is service to God. Forgive and Let Go: Holding on to anger or revenge only poisons the soul. Sai Baba often forgave even those who wronged him — a true lesson in humility and spiritual strength. Equality and Unity: Baba broke down all social and religious barriers. His very life was a message that we are all one, united under one Divine light. Contentment and Simplicity: He lived a humble life, teaching us to find joy not in material wealth, but in gratitude, simplicity, and inner contentment. --- 🙏 A Personal Journey with Baba For many devotees, Baba is more than a saint — he is a companion, guide, healer, and divine protector. Whether you're facing illness, emotional turmoil, or spiritual confusion, turning to Baba with a sincere heart brings light into the darkest moments. His presence is not bound by time or space. You may feel it in the stillness of a prayer, the kindness of a stranger, or the silent answers that come in meditation. Baba listens to every heart that calls him, and his grace flows silently yet powerfully. --- 🛕 In Closing: A Temple in the Heart While the Shirdi temple is a sacred pilgrimage for millions, the true temple of Baba is the human heart. When we live by his teachings — of love, service, and truth — we carry his spirit with us wherever we go. In doing so, we become channels of the very peace and light that Sai Baba offered to the world. May Sai Baba bless you and your loved ones with health, harmony, guidance, and unwavering faith. May his light shine on your path and lead you to the divine peace that resides within. 🕉️ Om Sai Ram! 🕉️

There are many gates to enter the temple but if you want to have a free darshan then enter from gate no. 7. The charge for VIP darshan is 200 rupees. You have to deposit your mobile in the clock room where the charge is 5 rupees per phone. You get darshan in 30 minutes. The management is very good, there is a provision to sit in the line inside and there is also a washroom and there is also a provision for many fan coller..

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a peaceful and divine place to visit. Near Gate 6, you’ll find mobile lockers available for just Rs 5 per phone, along with free shoe stands. For free darshan, head to Gate 7, which you can reach from Dwarkamai Temple, if Dwarkamai is in front of you, go left and take the first right. You’ll pass the mobile lockers first, and then Gate 7 is right there. On weekends, the wait time for free darshan is usually around 3 hours, and the entire process can take 3-4 hours. We also visited once on a Monday morning around 6 AM, and it only took about 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete Darshan. If you prefer paid darshan, you can either book online in advance or book near temple, enter through Gate 6 when you arrive. Wait time is much lesser than free Darshan but it'll still take almost 2 if crowded. Inside the temple, there is usually some waiting time before darshan, so visitors are asked to sit in waiting halls. Opposite these halls, there’s a counter where you can get free unlimited tea and biscuits. They also sell chips and water at prices much lower than market rate. After darshan, don’t forget to pick up your free food coupons next to the neem tree. Near the exit, you will also receive packets of prasad and vibhooti. Additionally, there’s a laddu counter near the lendi garden entry, opposite the neem tree, where you can get the famous Shirdi laddu.
