The Hierapolis Ancient Theater is truly impressive — one of the main highlights when visiting Pamukkale. It’s amazingly well-preserved and gives you a glimpse into how massive and grand the performances must have been back in ancient times. Built during the Roman period, it could seat thousands of people and was used for plays, music, and even gladiator shows. Most visitors online call it a must-see, and I’d agree. I came here as part of a tour group, so I didn’t take any local guide, but the tour provided enough info to appreciate the site. You can take a buggy to the top for around USD 50, but honestly, it’s not worth it — walking is much better and gives you time to enjoy the scenery. But if you cant walk then you'll need to take it then. There’s a WC available nearby, but the ladies’ WC tends to get crowded. Around the Cotton Castle area, there are a few shops and cafés, but prices are on the higher side. It gets quite hot here, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and some water. Overall, it’s a great experience and definitely worth the walk!

We drove from Antalya to Salda Lake, and the drive was smooth and easy, with clear roads. The lake itself is visible from a distance, but the main tourist area is a bit further inside. Positives: •Great for Photography: The lake offers stunning views that are perfect for photography enthusiasts. •Fresh Air: The surroundings are refreshing, providing a great escape into nature. •Beautiful Views: The lake’s unique turquoise waters make for an amazing sight. Improvement: •Cleanliness of Shoreline: While the lake is beautiful overall, the shore could be cleaner. Extra Note: Be cautious of honey bees in the area. One seemed especially interested in my wife, leaving her with a memorable sting! A picturesque spot with minor drawbacks, Salda Lake is worth visiting for nature lovers and photographers.

I thought it was underwhelming but my wife thought it was great. It was on the way to Pamukkale from Sagalassos so worth a short detour. We just waded in, but some people were swimming. I can't say I noticed any special healing powers ;)

Beautiful tranquil lake. Not crowded when I visited in an October afternoon.

We were pretty hyped about coming here after reading it. The lake is a unique experience, but was not exactly what we thought. We went to a campground on the NW side of the lake and there was a sign saying "Prohibited entry to lake" with no exploration as to why. We didn't know if it was due to no lifeguard or because of something harmful in the water. We continued to drive around to the east side where there is a restaurant. We ate there (better food than expected) and they said we could get in the lake, which the kids did. All in all it's a neat experience, but we didn't see anything around the lake that actually talked about the significance of it. And there wasn't a single dock; we didn't see any boats, canoes, etc.

What an amazing nature and beauty about this place which is unbelievable, lake is super huge and we went from one corner to another even the village is so beautiful while going to Salda Lake. A must place to visit and also there restaurants and coffee shops around some key spots with restroom facilities.

Beautiful place! You can see wonderful view and people who are riding paragliding. If you ride paragliding in Oludeniz, you will begin at here! You have to come even you don’t ride paragliding as it is beautiful place to enjoy nature.

My experience went very well! 🤩 I really enjoyed it. Although I was scared, the professional tandem pilot was very professional (Yusuf Okudeniz Paragliding). The view was spectacular, and the weather was amazing. ☁️ I had the chance to fly into the clouds, one of my dreams, to touch them. I recommend it; the price is affordable. 💯 I was also taking videos with my Ray-Ban Meta Ai glasses, so it was a fun experience for me

Massive over 6,400 feet high. Went up to the first 🥇 level in May 1200m. Went up to the second 🥈 level in October 1700m.

The best view of Oludeniz from above! Also to watch parachutes take off! There is a cable car service available to take to the top of the mountain. There is four stops to the top of the mountain. You can stop at each point and admire the views. There is also different food place at every stop which you can check from their official website. The ticket purchased for the cable car allows you to stop at each point then return back to base. I would strongly advise to NOT drive to the top of the mountain. Unfortunately no one warned us and we took the road instead of the cable car. The road is very dangerous with no rails on the side. The road is not in good condition and broken leading straight off the cliff! Also the minibuses for the parachutes drive at high speed with no consideration for other cars! They make the drive even more dangerous. There also isn’t a place to park your car at the top. You need to leave your car by the side of the road and space isn’t guaranteed at all! It simply isn’t worth taking the risk plus I’m sure you would get better views with the cable cars.

One of the newer facilities in Oludeniz is the cable car system up the mountain. Previously, the only way up was a series of narrow roads and hairpin bends. (You can still use some of these as part of an organised trail run.) Be aware that the car park is about 150 metres away from the main building. There is an electric shuttle bus that runs a regular service between the two. Note that taxis will drop outside the building, but you need to go to the car park to get one back. The ticket office is outside the building, and the entrance just to the side. In the foyer is a diorama of the mountain, and escalators and a lift to the floor where the cable car starts. The actual cable car is in two parts; the first goes to 1500 metres, where you can get out to go to a rather expensive restaurant, or stay on board to go to 1700 metres. Each car is a bubble with amazing all around views, and will carry up to 8 people. At the 1700 metre height, you'll find the first paraglider launch pad; and it looks like the most popular. I estimated between 30 and 50 launches per hour. Some were individuals, but about half were tandems. There is another restaurant at this point, so you can sit in comfort watching the launches. You can carry on up the mountain, using a ski style chair lift. It's easy to use, and there is an operator who keeps an eye on things. At 1800 metres, there is the second launch platform which goes in a different direction. However, it's up a set of stairs or a steep ramp, so not so good for anyone with mobility issues. At this height, there is a Burger House, that overlooks the launch pad at 1700 metres. About 100 metres away, there is the final part of the system, another chair lift that takes you up to the highest part of the mountain and the launch pad at 1900 metres. Views all the way up are astonishing, and well worth the effort of going up. The cost of the cable car is very acceptable; if you're in the area, it's worth making the time to visit.

The most beautiful mountain peak I have ever seen. Peaks at 2000ft. Looks over Ölüdeniz, Fetihye, and what's looks to be as far as Dalaman, the Agean Sea, Rhodes and Ulyk Tepe. Beautiful at sunset. Beautiful colours that bounce off of the water. There are restraunts and places to get drinks to at the top. The paragliders jump from the top. The views are magnificent and very romantic. A modern cable cart to the top, from the terminal, is 300 TYL per person. I would 100% recommend this visit even if it's one of the only excursions you do while in the area. Can get a bit chilly of you go late or out of season due to the natural elements. There is security who are very helpful and are good at keeping the tourists and attraction safe.

Beach is nice. Very authentic…But 15 euro per person just for the entrance (!!!) it is a bit too much for a wild beach, where there are no proper conditions like shower, changing rooms etc…Also you have to pay extra for umbrella and sunbeds…A simple rip-off(((

Mashallah this is a great beach. Amazing views, nice walk here from the sand dunes. Empty beach, clear blue water and nice waves. Parking is limited up top but you can manage to somehow find a spot, just keep waiting. The sand is very hot so make sure to not go down to the beach barefoot!! We made this mistake and would not recommend.

This place is beautiful and the sunsets are amazing, however, I recommend explore all the areas in Patara not just the beach. The best option is getting a tour that includes the historical areas and the beach.

The beach itself looks good and interesting as it is the part of big historical territory and famous for caretta caretta (type of turtle) nesting. It is worth to visit but I am not a fan of wavy sea so I didn’t try even to swim in it, but for the ones who likes the waves, ut can be really funny and cool😎

Patara Beach is nice, but not amazing. You do have to pay an entry fee just to get in, which feels a bit unnecessary for a beach. The water is fine, the sand is fine — nothing wrong, but nothing unforgettable either. What does stand out are the sand dunes. They’re big, golden, and perfect for those dreamy “lost in the desert” Instagram shots 🤩. If you’re into photography or just want a couple of unique pictures for the feed, that part is definitely worth it. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t put it on a “must-see” list.

The gorge was amazing and a decent challenge to make it to the end. The water is very cold at first but refreshing. Make sure your footwear is suitable for both water and climbing rocks. The views are amazing. We did the rafting and mud bath which was definitely worth it. The restaurants by the water are over priced but the views are great.

It's beautiful. For the ones that appreciate the nature I'm sure u'll love it here. I'll let my pictures speak for itself. The only thing I want to warn you, or give an advice, come early in the morning. We arrived at 9.30am and we did the "hike" (more like a walk) through the canyon within 2 hrs time. On the way back I couldn't believe how crowded the place has got. Crazy. And it was a weekday - Friday. So yes, definitely worth seeing. Also there are nice places u can eat, beautiful surroundings, it felt very refreshing :) and please make sure u bring water shoes, we rented shoes there for 100 Turkish lira per person.

The walk in the gorge was very short because of the rain the day before. There are some very cosy, hippy like terraces. You will have to wear a helmet. Be aware that you must cross the river at the start, bring water shoes! After that, the path is easy and dry.

Very cold water in this amazing canyon. Especially in the hot summer a cool place to go. You can also walk way up into the canyon for a long walk. Entrance fee is 65 tl. Parking is 200 tl.

This was a crackingly good day out and an excellent place to beat the heat. The water is icy cool and super refreshing and there are benches and tables in ankle high water so you can cool off while you eat. There is ziplining and rafting available (costs extra, about 500 lira each person/activity (£10)) in addition to the gorge itself, which is rather stunning and offers plenty of great photo opportunities. If you want to see everything, you will need to get wet, to at least knee high, so take some water shoes (I saw lots of lost sandals floating away) and beware that small children may need to be carried through some of the deeper or faster moving sections of the stream.

Don‘t go with a tour. Just take a local bus! Entry is 65. Watershoes to buy 200. Tours just go to the beginning of the gorge, you will miss incredible landscapes! Took me around 90 minutes inside. After 45 minutes there is a high waterfall, you can climb from inside the rocks if you feel confident. After that you can probably continue a while.

The natural beauty here was incredible. A few things will help you enjoy yourself: the water is FREEZING. I visited in September, it was a warm day, but the water remains absolutely ice cold. The rocks are pretty painful on bare feet, so water shoes would be good - but because of the current, flip flops were a bad choice. Your feet go numb really fast, and it's hard to keep the flip flops from falling off and floating away. We definitely saw multiple people slip and fall in, so having a dry bag for your things would be good. There are places to get food, ice cream, and souvenirs. It's cash only, and we did have to pay to park. The scale of the gorge is really hard to document, but it was incredible.

Such a gorgeous beach! We were here by the end of September, 2025. Current prices are 50tl for access; umbrellas and sunbeds for 250tl. There’s a sign that says no food or drink from outside but we brought our own and so did so many other people and no one said anything or even checked our bags. We couldn’t rent sunbeds as the beach was full by time we arrived (12noon), but we threw our beach towels and it was fine! To my surprise, the water wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be, so it was perfect! Totally recommend to arrive by public bus (dolmus) to avoid the parking hassle. Bus ticket is currently 75tl and runs every 30min. If you come from Kas, you can hop on at the bus station downtown. It stops right outside the main entrance both ways! Here’s the updated schedule.

Great beach, we went at 10h30 in the morning , it was okay but 2 hours later it became crowded so we left at 13h , entrance is 50 lira , sunshade 230l , it quickly gets deep so you should be a good swimmer

One of the most beautiful beaches in Kaş, but services aren’t great and prices are high (almost like a beach club). The café was poor for the price. Stairs up are a bit painful, down is easier than reviews suggest. The sea gets very wavy—check the wind before you go and avoid windy days if you want to swim.

Kaputas Beach, located between Kas and Kalkan, is an absolute must-visit if you’re exploring this part of Turkey! Maybe in low season is worth a visit , in high season is disgustingly full, the place is nice but too crowded and you will find cigarette butts everywhere, there is a long staircase to get there . 50 liras per person the entry fee. Parking there is a mess and you risk someone parking and blocking your car .

I recommend a boat cruise with the option of swimming. Beautiful views, azure waters. The town is nothing but ruins—foundations and a few walls. Nearby is a quaint little port town with a castle. And 20 kilometers away, the picturesque port town of Ka$ is a must-see for food and shopping.

Don’t do a day tour here especially if you are staying at Antalya area. You are only given 20 mins time to swim.. but it takes about more than 4 hours to get here by tour bus. Beautiful place but the swimming experience was too poor due to the limited time given by my tour provider. If i gonna visit next time, I will just rent a car…

Excellent boat charters abound to the island of Kekova and surrounding sites. Not to be missed is the mysterious sunken city ruins. Only accessible by boat, the water is calm and beautifully clear so it is easy to see the sunken walls and structures that have long since been swallowed by the sea. Swimming is forbidden in the area, so you will have to be content to gaze upon the ruins from the comfort of your chosen boat or kayak. Definitely one of the top activities while visiting Kaş.

Nice island, very simple village caffès for ice cream and coffe. Nice little hotels, I recommend to stay there because atmosphere in the evenings are magic.

We took a boat tour around here with a small group and also stopped to swim. It was totally worth it and swimming was very refreshing on a hot day. The views are amazing and there's a lot of ruins of the sunken city.

The place is in ruins, you will be walking through a jungle forest with large stones and pieces of column all around you. Occasionally, you’ll see a wall or an arch. There are a few exceptions to this, the most notable being the theater, which is in remarkably great shape given how the rest of the city fared, and the small temple of Artemis (not the one near the parking lot). The setting is amazing, once you get up to the higher levels, you can see that you’re sitting in a straddle of a few shorter peaks with great views down two large valleys. Bring hiking shoes, the town is about a Moderately steep hike up from the parking lot. It took me about 3 1/2 hours round-trip and I got to see most of what I wanted but not everything. I walked about 9000 steps and climbed 51 floors. So it’s not like many sites where you pull up to the parking lot walk a kilometer and see just about everything.

The theater place at the border of a cliff worth the trip alone. Small hike from the parking, around 20min. Correct shoes needed and water.

Amazing place. Like Indiana Jones discovery. Fully natural with no manmade artifacts. One of the best ruins I have seen anywhere in Europe. It's a uphill ride from the entry gates which is about 5 km below. Then from the car park it's a 30 minutes walk up. Of this the first 10 minutes is tiring but after that it's all very exciting. A must visit.

Don’t visit the site, if you have an army like Alexander the Great did. He returned and went away from this eagle cradle. Otherwise with peacefull concerns Termessos calls you for a great experience in both, in history and in nature!

Must visit. But be prepared and take some water and snacks. Make sure to read about the place before you go as there is little to no info anywhere on the site.

My lord this place was like no other ancient city I've visited in Turkey so far and I've been to more than 10+ now! There was so much still there lying as rubble on the floor, especially on what was the main street in the city, and it looks as though it has remained untouched for centuries since it was destroyed by earthquakes. But the piece de resistance was the largely intact remains of the theatre in the mountains, really magical and ethereal! Loved this place!

Great experience. Was £36 each 6/9/25. Cable carts hold roughly 30 people. You can spend along as you want at the top. Mosque was closed, expo space was closed. Parking free at bottom. Nice road to the cable cart. Had fun racing up and down. Be careful as no barriers and if you go off you're probably dead.

Taking the Olympos Teleferik sounded exciting, but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side. When we reached the top, everything was covered in thick fog we could barely see anything! It was a bit disappointing, especially since the ticket is quite pricey. If you plan to visit, definitely check the weather forecast beforehand. On a clear day, the view must be absolutely stunning, but in foggy conditions, you miss out on what makes the trip special. Most of the other activities at the top were also closed because of the weather. All in all, it was still an experience, but I wouldn’t go again. Once is enough and next time, I’d make sure to visit on a sunny day!

Excellent cable car ride. We didn’t have long to explore at the top though before we had to go sadly as we were accosted by the photographers who said there was no obligation to buy. We said no thank you numerous times and then gave in because they wouldn’t leave us alone. After having photos done in an out of bounds section at the top, the photographer took us to show us the photos. Even just one photo was 17 Euros alone so we declined even though they were very good. Despite not being obligated to buy, the photographer was not happy with us and pulled his face at us which I felt was rude. The gift shop was a little expensive but very good. The coffee shop was good value but staff were a little ignorant, looking me up and down. I enjoyed the cable car ride down. Recommended just to see the views alone.

Great place, beautiful views. Suitable for kids, gets crowded after a while but still very much worth it. Better to get the tickets online rather than local guides as it's cheaper.

To get to the lift there is a 20 min car journey from the road. The cable car is large and takes about 30 people. The height covered is so big that my es ached from the pressire changes. The view st the top was amazing. Take a jacket as it is cold. The building is spacious and the food adequate.

We went there with a rented car. Car broke down 800m from destination. Staff were very helpfull and found a man thats had jump leads to start the car and helped with this regard. Great views, and surprisingly cheaper prices on top of the mountain than at the bottom.

Great view - really nice excursion. However, the price tag is a bit high. We paid a bit below 200 € for 3 adults and two kids. The view is fantastic. Combine it with Paragliding and it is really worth it 👍.

Incredibly delicious Turkish food. Sedat is a great host and very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We highly enjoyed the aubergine with meat dish, Adana kebab, and chicken skewers which were all very flavourful, tender, and well cooked. The aubergine was sensational Everything was well seasoned and cooked nicely. The restaurant is also very clean and in a great location in the Old Town

Amazing service, very kind and helpful and honest staff. Both dishes were very tasty, juicy and fresh. The brought us free mezze and yoghurt dip with fresh bread before the food which were tasty as well. After lunch they brought us free tea which was very good too. They will recommend getting salad or soup, or the fresh juice which they also make instead of the bottled juice for example, but up selling is part of any good waiter's job, if you say no they're extremely respectful and polite about it of course. We came for the reviews and we were not let down, we were very vary of not getting scammed while dining in the center but instead they ended up charging us TOO LITTLE, and when I brought it up with the waiter and then the owner that we should be paying MORE they were super friendly and still charged us the lower amount, so we just tipped instead. Ibrahim was out waiter, and unlike other restaurants, these guys didn't ask us to review them but I feel like it's only fair to appreciate their good work amongst so many other tourist traps.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and authentically Turkish. The service was excellent, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. What made it even more special was that the owner kindly offered us tea and coffee at the end, free of charge – a lovely gesture of hospitality. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Good restaurant, good service. Went with my wife loved the food, the hosts are really friendly, welcoming. Suggest to have indoor seating as well as there is place inside too, which is unused. The heat can be difficult to have a nice meal.

The adana and urfa kebabs are nice, the soups/lahmacun are good too. I had no issues but based on other peoples experiences check the prices I suppose Portions are a bit small for what you pay but I feel that's the case for most places in old town No free tea for me tho... Anyways my main issue was the shop guy opposite, must have smoked a whole forest as I was trying to enjoy my food

By far the BEST restaurant I’ve visited in Kaleiçi. Every dish is delicious, my personal favorite being the Beyti Kebab with yogurt. The Adana is amazing. The host is very genuine and uplifting, he’s got great energy and a great crew. You will feel very welcomed and you will enjoy your food 100%

Beautiful adventure!! Many natural vents with permanent flames above the ruins of the temple of Hephaistos You must take with you bottles of water and plenty of tissues because you will have so much sweating and become thirsty.. About 1000 meters climbing up with difficulty .. there are many rocks and tortious pathways ..

Make sure you’re QUITE fit and have no mobility issues. Intense 1km climb to the top on a rocky path with huge steps. Make sure it’s not going to rain; the rocks get pretty slippery. If you come close to dusk/night, bring big flashlights and hope you have good night vision. The fire coming out of the mountain is super cool though. Bring marshmallows! It’s about the size of a small campfire. The area at the bottom of the mountain is quite peaceful as well, which was surprising for a tourist attraction. Btw the road leading down to it is a quite windy downhill with many blind curves.

Amazing place to visit, especially at night time. There is a steep hike, so don't bother if you don't have the means. Have a hiking shoes on and water with you, and if you plan to visit at night, have head light or flashlight with you, and be very careful with every step, some parts of the trail can be a bit slippery.

Easy hike up. 60tl entrance per person, toilet 10tl. Would avoid going up in heat, still manageable.

So someone tells me there’s a place in Turkey where fire literally comes out of the ground. Naturally, I assume it’s one of those tourism exaggerations. Like when a hotel calls their pool “an oasis” and it turns out to be a lukewarm puddle next to a parking lot. Or when you’re promised an “authentic village experience” and get a guy in a tunic selling Pringles. But then I get to Mount Chimaera. And, folks, there ARE flames. Real, actual, unexplained flames just casually shooting out of the rocky hillside like it’s no big deal. No wood. No gas line. No special effects budget. Just fire. Eternal, logic-defying fire. The ancient Greeks looked at this and went, “Yep, monster breath.” And honestly? That explanation makes more sense to me than natural gas seeping through rock fissures or whatever science is trying to say. I still don’t believe what I saw. I kept blinking. I stare at the ground in disbelief a lot but not like this.

20-25 minute hike to see the eternal flame, pretty cool really! Bring some marshmallows to roast over the flames

Beautiful area to visit , buy your marshmallows at the entrance to toast on the fires. The walk up is about 1km from the car park but some of the steps are quite steep and uneven , we did it in winter , I would imagine it’s much harder during the hot summer months.

Beautiful natural wonder right by the Antalya coastline. The waterfalls drop directly into the Mediterranean, which makes for a stunning view, especially at sunset. You can enjoy the sight from nearby parks or take a boat tour for a closer look. Quite crowded during peak hours, but definitely worth visiting if you’re in Antalya.

If you’re into a good walk, try walking from the center of Antalya to the Lower Düden Waterfalls. You’ll see a lot more of the city along the way, and the view at the end is beautiful! If you still have some energy left, you can continue to the sandy beach just behind it. I took the bus back and had a really nice day trip!

Absolutely stunning beauty 🤗 If you are thinking to choose upper or lower please choose this but again my personal opinion. Beautiful has a park around to walk with lots of local vendors plus photo spots, zip liners and restaurant etc… A bit too sunny now so take water and cap/hat to protect from the heat and oh don’t forget the sunscreen, bath in it to guard from the harmful rays but otherwise definitely worth spending 2 hours looking around. You can easily access this place using local transport or taxi fyi. Definitely must visit in Antalya 👍

Worthwhile to see, but it’s a pity we didn’t see the boat to go under the waterfall. If you plan to come by bus, better to visit Lara Beach together with Duden waterfall, because bus KL08 can go to these two places. I heard upper Duden is pretty and has a cave. But did’t manage to visit it.

Breathtaking views of the waterfall, perfect for photos. You can also catch planes flying past. Shops on site for snacks and drinks. Zipline available on site. Worth visiting.

Very beautiful place, with great nature! Feeling fresh and wet air, especially at 40°C weather. But there are a lot of annoying people, who wants to scam tourists, so be careful and don't sleep!

Aspendos Theatre is absolutely stunning! The architecture and preservation of the theatre make it one of the most beautiful historical sites I’ve visited. You can really feel the history when standing inside—it’s amazing to imagine the performances that took place here centuries ago. That said, it is quite far from Antalya city, and getting here isn’t the easiest. Taxis are hard to find, especially for the return trip, so I’d recommend arranging transport in advance or coming with a tour group. Overall, a must-visit if you love history and ancient sites—just plan your transportation well!

One, if not THE, best preserved ancient roman theatre in the world. Funny enough, it was thanks to the Ottoman using part as a caravansarail. The acoustics are incredible. The level of details of the marble carving just let you wonder how magnificent it must have been when just completed and fully made of shiny marble.

22/12/2024 I visited the Aspendos Theatre, and it was a truly breathtaking experience. As I walked through the ancient ruins, I couldn't help but think of the iconic song 'Tu Jaane Na' from the Bollywood movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The theatre's stunning architecture and rich history transported me to a bygone era, and I felt a deep connection to the ancient culture of Aspendos. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and I felt grateful to have had the chance to witness the grandeur of this ancient wonder.

Ancient Aspendos......is located to the east of Antalya and is famous for its best-preserved ancient amphitheater built in the 2nd century AD during the reign of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The theater has a capacity of 15,000 people and is still used today for performances and festivals. Its galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify to its architect Xeno's success. Next to the stage there is a small room which is used as a small museum where you can see some of the masks and clay tickets from the ancient times. Just above the theater there is the acropolis with a great view of the river from the top, where you can see a basilica, an agora, a nymphaeum and and a bouleuterion (council), all of them in ruins. About one kilometer north of the town there is one of the largest Roman aqueducts in Anatolia which supplied Aspendos with water. The river passing next to the city is called Köprüçay (ancient Euromydon) and was navigable once upon a time. This was also the place where the Persians used to breed their horses between 6th-4th centuries B.C. during their rule in Asia Minor. According to the legend, Aspendos was first founded by Greek colonists who came to Pamphylia region after the Trojan War. There are also possibilities that the city could be founded by the Hittites. Aspendos was one of the cities in this region to mint silver coins under its own name. Together with their neighbors Perge, Aspendos was also left under the Persian rule between 6th and 5th centuries BC, then became a member of the Attic-Delos Maritime confederation after its liberation by the Athenians. But later in the 5th century BC Persians captured the city again and stayed there until the arrival of Alexander the Great in 333 BC. After the death of Alexander, the city was controlled by the Seleucids, and then the Kingdom of Pergamum until 133 B.C. when the Romans took over Pergamon.

An amazing theater in a great shapes after 2 millenia. It was constructed in Roman era in 1st century CE. There are still many marble seats. The acoustics are impressive. Go and sing out loudly. It is about an hour drive from Antalya.

While you can visit order parts of the ancient city of Aspendos (and I absolutely recommend that you do), the theatre is by far the most impressive part. Highly preserved (and modified) due to its continuous use, it has amazing acoustics.

Lol Greco-roman theater still used today while being restored. Spend 30-60 minutes exploring. There are huge segments of a viaduct standing nearby. 5-10 minutes drive from theatre.

A beautiful place! The atmosphere of ancient civilization is literally everywhere (!) around you. The route to the Temple of Apollo through the old town of Side is an incredible experience in itself - you literally walk above the ancient city, viewing its ruins through the glass floor beneath your feet. However, I recommend going a bit earlier, perhaps around 5 p.m., because after sunset, the number of tourists is overwhelming, and taking a photo in front of the temple (without hundreds of tourists in the background) is nearly impossible.

Amazing historical remains and well preserved. Peaceful on the coastline and easy walking distance from Side hotels or dolmus station. I used Beam scooters and got here easily and zipped around to see it all - cheap and easy. Nice walkways and signage with history. Feels magical and mystical. Nice walkable and enjoyable ruins with shops and bars dotted around nearby.

A Must-Visit Gem on the Turkish Coast 🇹🇷 Side is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The Temple of Apollo is a breathtaking highlight — a magnificent tribute to a lost empire. Standing among its ancient columns, you can truly appreciate the grandeur and power of the civilizations that once thrived here. It’s a must-see for history lovers and photographers alike. The town itself is exceptionally clean, with fantastic shopping, charming streets, and a wide range of bars and restaurants catering to every taste. It also feels incredibly safe, with a noticeable and reassuring police presence throughout the area. If you’re holidaying anywhere along this part of Turkey, Side is absolutely worth the trip. I personally recommend visiting in the early evening — it’s quieter, the buses are less crowded, and you can enjoy the beauty of the town as it begins to come alive. That said, the later it gets, the more vibrant and energetic the atmosphere becomes, making it perfect for a lively night out as well. In short — don’t miss it!

Short visit in Side for 5 hours- taxi transfer from hotel to Side and back (in our opinion better than by exchanging buses from hotel-Manavgat center-Side center-return). Harbour area is really nice to be visited, for shopping and eating- many alternatives to be choosed

Stunning Ancient Ruins by the Sea in Side! 🏛️🌅 The Temple of Apollo in Side is absolutely breathtaking — especially at sunset when the sky turns golden behind the historic columns. It’s one of the most iconic spots in the area and perfect for photos or just soaking in the ancient atmosphere. Located right by the sea, it’s easy to reach and surrounded by charming cafes and coastal views. A must-visit if you’re in Side!

3 Euros entrance fee, but they only take Turkish Lira. Toilets on site. You can walk around unsupervised, but you need to have an interest to make it worth the visit.

Great landmark of the classical Roman period of Turkey. Side old town is also very beautiful. I recommend visiting it earlier in the morning (prior to 8:30) when is not that hot and crowded.

The hotel was amazing! The food was always delicious and had many options to choose from. The animation team was fantastic they were so friendly, energetic, and made every day full of fun activities. Thanks to them, we had an unforgettable holiday!

Not the best choice for families with small children We booked this hotel online, and from the photos and description we didn’t realize that it has no beach. This was very disappointing for families with kids, since children usually enjoy playing at the shore. The sea access is only from a pier, which might be fine for adults who can swim, but it’s not safe or convenient for young children. The food was okay – not amazing. There were a few tasty dishes, but overall nothing special. Where food was cooked on the spot, there were long queues, so you needed patience. For kids, the dining area was nice, but baby jars were available only at breakfast, only one type, and just a few jars. In other hotels we’ve stayed at, they were available all day and in more varieties. About 80% of the guests were Russian. At check-in, we met a very unfriendly receptionist, which left a bad first impression. On our first night, our child got sick and vomited, and we were charged extra for the bed sheets. The kids’ show starts at 9 PM, which is far too late for little ones. The swimming pools were very cold – unpleasant for adults but especially unsuitable for children. Housekeeping was inconsistent: even though we requested cleaning within the suggested time slots (7–12 or 15–18), the room was often skipped. At lunchtime, when staff probably came, our child was sleeping, so we were left without cleaning on several days unless we asked directly. Meal times (lunch 12:30–14:30 and dinner after 18:30) also overlapped with our child’s nap schedule, so we had to struggle to get food in advance for him. In the evening, the bar by the “beach” area was closed, which was a pity because that was a nice spot to sit. Also, not all water slides were working. The rooms were loud, and even from the front desk we were disturbed during the child’s sleeping time for ac. Positives: the kids’ club is lovely, with very kind staff (special thanks to Nisa and Musti). The views are beautiful, there are plenty of pools (though the water is cold), and the balcony was spacious.

We had an amazing time at A Good Life Utopia Family Resort! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The animators were fantastic — full of energy and made every day so much fun for both kids and adults. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming. Everything was clean and well organized. The food was delicious, fresh, and had a lot of variety. We really enjoyed every moment and would love to come back again! Highly recommend this place!

Although hotel rooms are a bit dated, the staff are very friendly and entertaining. Facilities & activities during day time are excellent with special events on some days. Good water park Good atmosphere in bar at nighttime and the shows are decent.

The beach itself is very beautiful and convenient. However, it’s very dirty. I don’t understand why neither the beach nor the water is cleaned. The water is very polluted by visitors, with microplastics, bandages, and various waste that shouldn’t be there visible everywhere. The authorities and visitors show a very careless attitude toward such a beautiful place. It’s really a shame.

cleopatra beach is truly one of the must visit places for swimming and relaxing. the sand and the sea are very clean, making it a great spot to enjoy the water. although both tourists and locals sometimes leave trash behind, i really hope this will decrease in the future so the beach can stay as beautiful as it deserves to be. the view here is stunning, the sunset, the mountains with goats wandering around, and the surrounding tourist spots all create a breathtaking atmosphere. the endless horizon of the sea brings a real sense of peace and relaxation. this natural wonder is also home to crabs, jellyfish, and even large fish, which makes the experience even more unique. on top of that, the cable car view over the area is simply amazing and adds to the overall charm of visiting this beach.

Nice long beach with some flat rocks in the water. But easy to get into the water. Sunbeds and umbrella cost 375 Lira. Absolutely ok. 👍🏾

Kleopatra Beach is absolutely beautiful!!!! The sand is soft, the water is clear and refreshing, and the whole atmosphere is just so relaxing. It’s a lovely spot to spend the day, whether you’re sunbathing, swimming, or just enjoying the views. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for hire if you need them, and lots of little cafes and restaurants nearby for snacks and drinks, which makes it really convenient. The beach was clean and well looked after, which I really appreciated. It’s popular, so it can get busy at times, but it still has a calm and friendly vibe, everyone just seems happy to be there. I really enjoyed my time at Kleopatra Beach and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Perfect for a chilled-out day by the sea!

Kleopatra beach is so beautiful. The heat is unreal! The sand is lovely but gets super hot in August! I love going in the sea which is very warm, clean and refreshing. However the waves can get very powerful and knock loads of people over which is actually great fun! But if you're fragile take care! The back drop of Alanya castle is so beautiful.

The beach itself is amazing,very long and plenty of space for everyone. The sea there is beautiful, lifeguards are everywhere so it seems to be like a safe place to swim. Negative is no free toilet these days Paying 50p for every entry is just stealing money for your basic needs.

The castle has a great view of the city so you may only go there to see this fantastic view. We liked walking up to the entrance and they have clean toilets and a shop selling fresh cold drinks. It was not too busy maybe because we went there during the week. The whole place could be a bit cleaner but still good.

Get on the cable car to the top to see some spectacular views. The castle is big and you could easily spend a whole day there exploring. You will need some decent footwear as there are many steps. Walkways are full of little bazaar type shops and hidden gems to explore. Visited with a guide to show us the best bits buy can easily make your own way around. The sunset was awesome.

Clifftop castle covering a hugh area. Can get chairlift or walk to top of it. Lots of great views all around it. Set out on different levels decent footpaths. Also did boat trip from harbour around headland again great views of castle walls.

Very cool experience. Incredibly beautiful up there on the mountain and you can see as far as you want! Lots of differences in level, so strollers and wheelchairs are not suitable. There is a small market at the top and also kiosks and restaurants along the way. We walked up and took the cable car down. The cable car was a scary experience for those afraid of heights and it's expensive. 920 lira for two people one way!

Excellent view and great historic location. If you’re English speaking, I definitely recommend doing your own research to accompany your visit; the signs are not well translated and it’s hard to get an idea of the inspiring history of the place. Definitely recommend visiting at sunset, getting transport up the hill and visiting the market stalls on the way up before your visit as they will close

This was an amazing find on our holiday to turkey and 100% worth a visit. We took the cable cart up to the top of the mountain where the castle is, you can also drive up and park in the car park if preferred. The castle ruins were well kept and had little shops and toilets throughout, you can pay to enter the castle or if you want you can just walk around the outer ruins and grounds for free. We seen some amazing views of the surroundings including the harbour and the famous I ❤️ Alanya sign. This could easily be a half to full day out depending if you enter the castle or not and is perfect for children we took our now 6 and 10 year-old boys with us who absolutely loved to see the ruins and read the stories behind them.

Alanya Castle is one of the must-see places in the city. The view from the top is absolutely beautiful, overlooking the sea, the beach, and the whole of Alanya. The castle area is very big, so it’s also a good place for hiking or walking around while enjoying the historical atmosphere. The easiest way to reach the castle is by taking the Teleferik (cable car). Once you arrive, you can walk around freely, but keep in mind that if you want to enter the museum area inside, there is a separate ticket fee. It’s a great spot to spend a few hours, especially if you enjoy both nature and history. Don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes and water if you plan to explore the larger area by foot.

I really liked the restaurant, the food was delicious and fresh, the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is by the sea, on the very edge of the cliff. The view is amazing. Beautiful view during the day, and also after sunset. You can see the entire coast, illuminated by the lights coming from the local towns. Thanks to the hosts for a great evening.

The view is amazing. The food is ok, could be better (more tasteful). They did however brought complementary bread with garlic and watermelon as well as a very delicious honey pie at the end of our dinner. That was a really nice move.

Amazing views from the terrace, make sure you ask for the light menu as they only gave us the mains at 15-20 euro each. Sandwiches start at about 10 euro. Really good value for money and worth a visit

Beautiful terraced taverna with stunning views across the coast stretching over the Akamas peninsula. Food was tasty, service attentive and quick, good fresh fish options. Really enjoyable.

I've been once before as a teen and brought my partner with me this time. We enjoyed it very much! The walk up is very long and tiring, definitely take a breather now and then when climbing up the stairs to get to the peak. Beautiful views and well preserved. Only downside is that the Turkish Army closed it down early the day we went for something so we did rush a little.

Beautiful place. Shame that people don’t respect the no smoking and no littering signs. Also be wary of cafe .. asked for a Turkish coffee as had just seen them make one .. only to be told no.. only coffee available is from the espresso machine at €3 a cup. On leaving saw more customers having Turkish coffee.. definitely feel like it was a ‘tourist tax’ .. ..so be warned 😡

We got in just nefore 3pm and we're told to get down to the ticket office by 4pm. Tho on the outside signboard it says last entray 4.30pm That's apparently not the case today. This seems to do with it being part of the military base So changes to opening time can occur at anytime without notice. The view was really pretty we first went to john's church/chapel then we went to the peak 734m above sea level. The walk up there was not hard. I'd rate it medium difficulty tops. The road is a bit uneven and can be slippery after rains So make sure you wear proper shoes for that. We got to the top around 3.35 So 30-35min is enough for a person who is moderately fit to get up and we got down just before 4pm. Made a few other stops to see the beautiful queens' window too. We didn't visit the cistern next to the beautiful Windows unfortunately as we ran out of time. I think 1.5-2hrs is probably good for here. 1hr is a bit short. There doesn't seem to be public transport here whatsoever. We got a taxi up there and when to the monastery then back to town for 70euros...

Lots of people have wondered how accessible it is for older, less abled folks to access the castle. I visited yesterday & I am 71. Yes I am very fit for my age but for such an awesome setting do NOT let other misleading reviews stop you going. The castle is easily accessed from the car park where a little cafe is located. It's currently,50 tl entrance (just over a £1) & even just inside there is the most incredible view of Kyrenia. The steps for levels 1 & 2 are perfectly adequate & not very tough (see pictures) if you do not venture inside the first lookout towers which are more of a challenge. The are some awesome things to see within the first two levels like the Byzantine Church. There is also a super little cafe with an amazing view of the north coast at Kyrenia, selling their refreshing lemonade (& mocktails) & a small selection of small gifts & postcards. Now there is the third level to explore & I spent 90 mins on that level it's astounding! Again see pictures of steps & now I would say you have to be reasonably fit or very determined if a slow ascent is within your capabilities. There are astounding parts like the royal apartments with amazing views but the higher up you go the more arduous it gets until the pinnacle of the summit at 732m. some 333' higher than the car park. Steps are a lot more uneven but with care & a firm grip of the handrails it's achievable. Various pictures illustrate some of my descriptions. Some reviews talk about unstable poor handrails, this is not the case they were all solid & firm & reassuring. Some people describe litter plastic bottles etc. Well the castle has provided loads of do not litter, pop in a bin signs but there will always be the mindless uncaring idiots who ignore this, don't let it distract you off visiting. It's an awesome feat of human achievement to the highest level & it has been there a 1000 years. The road 3 miles from the dual carriageway can be accessed from the dual carriageway in either direction despite what Google maps might show (I came from Kyrenia & turned right) & the road shows a few hairpin bends, again don't let this put you off, they are wide & easily driven. What more can I say except done let a visit pass you by if you are anywhere near. Allow 4 hours if you want to visit & photograph every nook & cranny! Well worth visiting, magnificent views, but you need to be reasonably fit to make the climb. You need good balance. Not for children under 12 yrs of age.

Worth a visit. Entrance cheap 1 eur. Takes 2 hours at least to see all, so don't expect to see and go quickly. Enjoy and feel. Lot of hiking - which is good, but even old people made it..

Beautiful. The hike to the top might be challenging for some people but well worth it for the fantastic views. Wear shoes with good grip. Probably our favourite spot on Cyprus.

A small port, not very spectacular. A mix of small boats, pleasure and fishing. On the shore several restaurants with terraces. Not very crowded, around 2:00 PM. The area looks decent, seems recently renovated. In the immediate vicinity is the castle, in a rather bad condition.

The harbour is beautiful. You can walk all the way round the harbour and past the castle. There are some lovely shops, bars and restaurants, we found a great rooftop bar for cocktails and beers with views over the harbour. Definitely spend half a day wandering round and exploring the side streets that lead off the harbour. On our previous visit we took a boat trip along the coast which is also beautiful.

Gorgeous place to visit. Unlimited restaurants. Great shops. Boat tours. Castle tours. Pretty much a full day out. Upmarket seaside bars and casinos. Lots to do and see. Extremely hot in the summer though so remember the sun tan lotion. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful ruins to look around. We did a tour which we found informative whilst walking around and appreciating the architecture of the building and ground. Finish off our visit with a fresh cold drink at the cafe by the entrance. 8 minute walk uphill from the car park where our coach dropped us off.

Worth a visit for sure. Parking may be tricky but great gothic half ruined architecture. The mountain backdrop makes for a dramatic scene. You can see everything in about half an hour

The ruins of a former monastery. They still house a small church. All in all, nothing "wow"... The area is beautiful, clean, full of greenery and flowers. In addition, from the monastery courtyard you have a very beautiful panorama, with the sea and Kyrenia visible in the distance. There is also a restaurant, adjacent to the monastery.

Bit different from the normal ruins. The restaurant, bar and cafe is attached to the abbey so I felt a bit strange but it's a popular place for locals because of that. Therefore there is shuttle bus service, 30 TL for a single ticket, very easy access and a nice view. There are nice hotels and restaurants. You can take a bus from a big parking space. There's some signboards there.

Walking around Ballapais monetary, there was no audio guide or tour guide available to purchase on the day. You just walk around yourself. Tickets are available to purchase on the day and parking was available. A few of cafes and restaurants near by to enjoy afterwards.

It's amazing place to visit around Girne. It has great architecture and nice place for photography.

Very nice museum. It has the biggest Mosaic collection in the world. Plan to spend at least 2.5 to 3 hours. It has a nice cafe to relax inside the museum as you exit. Parking was an issue for us. Besides the amazing mosaics spend some time at th sarcofagus section.

I couldn't imagine the amount of historical and archiological findings in this area. The museum was a trip to the history of the rigion. Amazing collection pf mosaic and marble sculptures. It is a must to see for Hatay visitors. Update: more sections are opened, and more mosaic is in display.

One of the great museums you can ever visit, huge and divers collection. Can't be missed if you in Antakya visting it is a must. However, it needs minimum two hours so make sure you have enough time when you go there.

An excellent museum with displays relating to all historic times. The collection of mosaics are incredible and there are some very well preserved sarcophagus. Well worth a detour to visit, also do not miss the the Hotel museum

One of the very most important museum in Turkey. It represent the life of the caveman and the life of the mythological histories.. The museum was moved last year to here. Previous place of this museum was in city centre but not big enough but new place is more bigger but far from city centre. I love the chronological path in the museum first path starts with cage life of humans and ends with modern day. Mosaics are well preserved and mosaics were like photographs. The only disadvantage of this path I couldn't find path milestones as described it was complex for me to understand how designated path goes. I started area 1 and I found myself at area 13 after 30 minutes but I think that was my fault that's why I give 5 star. When you see 480p resolution mosaics you understand why I gave star.

An impressive museum with a variety of exhibits about the area's very old history. I have been to many museums in Europe and this one could easily be in one of its capitals. The finds from the Hittite period are particularly impressive, as is the quality and massiveness of the mosaics from the Roman period. Worth it!

The place is pretty big, with three different sections, comfy couches perfect for sunset, a bar area with high and low tables, and a restaurant section where smoking is allowed. There’s no DJ, just chill music playing in the background, and each section offers a different beautiful view. The service was a bit slow, but the vibes made up for it. Drinks were good, though the alcohol was on the lighter side, and the food was tasty. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, enjoy the view, and have a laid-back evening.

Very nice spot in Zaytouna Bay overlooking the city and lights ! I visited couple of times a couple of years ago and I thought it has closed down. Love to have a sangria or a cocktail there in September /October , it is chill . The drinks and food are great and consistent from my previous visit. The service is not very welcoming and slow, alltho not many table reservations. The staff seem to lack motivation .

Park at Zaitunay Bay is one of the nicest outdoor spots in Beirut. It’s right by the water, super spacious, and the view at sunset is honestly hard to beat. The setup is casual — bean bags, soft lights, and music playing in the background. It’s the kind of place where you just want to sit back and relax. The food is pretty good — I’ve had their burgers and a few appetizers, and they hit the spot. The drinks are light and refreshing, nothing crazy but perfect for the vibe. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so don’t be surprised if service takes a bit longer. And there’s a minimum charge, so just keep that in mind. It is a very nice place for a drink or snack and I am a regular. I enjoy the breeze that you can feel since it is elevated with no obstructive buildings. Other than the relaxing environment itself, the cocktails are very basic and so is the food. I only had salads but they were of good quality and did feel fresh. The service is not so good even though the place is empty. Waiters stand and talk to each others, so you would have to walk to the bar by yourself if the glasses are empty. I do not understand at all why they do not accept short pants because there is nothing fancy at all about the place. However if that is the image they seek to achieve, then they do have quite a bit to work on. However I like this place alot. I find it very chill and will keep coming back (despite the room for improvements) ;)

The Park, if not for it's amazing views and atmosphere, wouldn't be that good of a place. The food is mediocre, so is the service, and not to mention that they profile you as being under 18 without even asking for your ID or anything. They simply tell you: "you can't sit there" (In the 22+ Area). Their drinks are also not that good. Overall, nice place to go once for the views, but that's it.

Jbeil Castle is an amazing spot to explore if you’re into history and stunning views. The castle is right in the middle of the ancient city of Byblos, and it’s got this incredible backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. The location alone makes it worth a visit. The castle itself is well-maintained and offers a great look into the past with its ancient walls and towers. You can walk around and imagine what life was like centuries ago. Plus, the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, you get a perfect panorama of the sea and the city harbor. I used to visit Jbeil Castle regularly, and I really miss the peaceful vibe and the sense of history it offers. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out it’s a fantastic place to soak in some culture and enjoy the scenery.

One the best historical sites in Lebanon, definitely worth a visit. The only thing bas about it is the lack of guide/historian to explain the story behind each and every corner in the citadel.

Such a wonderful historical site having influences of Roman, Phoenician and Ottoman periods. It was supposedly layered in soil and lost in time until recently when the residents were evacuated and the site excavated to find this lovely history. A mere visit to this site itself is all worthwhile with the beautiful breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea. Take a guide along to learn history, it's worth it. As a student of archaeology, visiting Jbeil Castle (Byblos Castle) was an extraordinary experience. This sprawling site is a treasure trove of history, beautifully situated within the ancient city of Byblos, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Accompanied by my professor, I was struck by the castle's architectural grandeur and the layers of history embedded in its stones. Built in the 12th century by the Crusaders, the castle's sturdy limestone and remnants of Roman, Phoenician, and Ottoman influences tell a vivid story of cultural overlap. Walking through its massive halls and ascending its towers offered breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding ruins, including ancient temples and a well-preserved amphitheater. What stood out to me most was the intricate history of the site. Byblos has been a crossroads of civilizations for millennia, and the castle serves as a tangible reminder of its strategic importance and resilience. The detailed carvings, inscriptions, and artifacts showcased on-site further enrich the experience, making it both educational and awe-inspiring. It is disappointing to see how badly maintained the place is. There is so much wasted potential in this place if only the ministry of tourism would put a bit of effort into it. The citadel itself is pretty nice, but the area around is becoming a grassland and a graveyard for the ancient pillars which are still in good condition. With a bit of work, they have all the pieces necessary to recreate some of the original structures. They also let exposed ancient mosaics in the middle of the bushes which you would mistakenly walk on and damage. The posters are covered with bird droppings that have not been removed for a long time. The visit was still worth it, but to see how badly we take care of our heritage is saddening.

A highlight in Byblos - from the citadel one can get a good view of the city and archaeological site. In addition it is possible to wander around in the ruins and see the contours of the city there once was.

I visited the place again since I heard it's open wasn't bad!!! Just the boat ride was really short! Other than that give it a go parking 250LB . And entrance ticket 15$ per adult a lot but well. U can't take pics or anything inside the caves, just open area outside , overall upper part is better personally big and u get to walk and experience the rocks the feelings and all . Lower one wasn't much water is nice but too much fuss over short boat trip

Amazing! This is briefly what you can say about this majestic place. I visited the grotto several times in the past and this summer I wanted to let my kids to see it. They were extremely stunned by the cave and the incredible shapes of the stalagmites and stalactites. This place is a must see for any visitor to Lebanon. No pictures are allowed inside but nothing can depict what you see there in person.

I visited Jeita Grotto today, and it is truly one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever seen. The caves are stunning, with incredible natural formations and an underground river that feels magical to experience. The entire area is well-maintained, and the beauty inside is simply unforgettable. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was that phones and photos are not allowed inside the grotto. I feel it would be much better if visitors could take photos, as it would help promote this amazing site when shared with friends and family—more people would be inspired to come and see it for themselves. I also believe the area could feel a bit less commercial if they focused more on enhancing the natural charm of the surroundings rather than just coffee shops and restaurants. Still, overall, Jeita Grotto is an absolute must-visit in Lebanon—an experience you will never forget.

A natural wonder developped over millions of years inside the these beautiful mountains. A formation of Stalactites and Stalagmites, many in weird shapes such as Jelly Fish, Mushroom, etc. based on their shapes. There are 3 layers to visit, Upper, Middle and Lower. While Upper and Middle is on foot, the lower is on a short boat trip. The temperatures within are cool throughout the year, around 20degs, especially a relief in the hot summers. The Entrance fee is $15 and includes rides on a cable car, toy train and the boat. Staff is friendly. Photography is strictly prohibited and they go to lengths to stop it. The reasoning given behind it when questioned was unconvincing and the only reason I can think of it so to create a curiosity among people so that people visit it in person generating income. Nevertheless, a beautiful place to not miss in a life time

A Very majestic place ! Both the upper and the lower grotto are very beautiful and worth the visit !

The cave was really nice, but the good things end there, staff would try to be friendly and offer to give you information so that you tip them, and the funny thing is that each one of them has a very different story with different dates, it seems like none of them knows anything about the cave. Tickets are very pricey and they also charge you when you enter the facility for parking. Cameras and phones are not allowed inside the cave (the workers say the light would damage the cave) while they have photo stands inside the cave with big flash lights so that you pay to take pictures, and they also have phones that you can rent out to take pictures since they don't let you take your phone inside, they touch your body everywhere to make sure of it. Overall the way things operate there really ruined the experience for me and I would never go back ever again.

It's a must see for Christians and general public. However it is isolated in the middle of Nazareth which is currently suffering from bad management and disfunctual city services. Hopefully the city will improve and this beautiful site will shine again. Don't forget to bring something to cover the shoulders as respect to the holy site.

In my opinion, one of the most impressive and amazing churches in the world. The visit to the Church of the Annunciation is powerful and interesting, the structure is amazing. The church was established at the site where, according to one tradition, the Annunciation took place. The church has a variety of works of art in different styles from all over the world.

Beautiful, amazing, spiritual and peaceful place! As a Catholic being able to visit the place where The annunciation happened to the Virgin Mary was a simply wonderful and religious experience. The church is beautiful, on the exterior you can see images of the Virgin Mary for all different countries, worth to enjoy each one of them.

One can light up an electric candle 🕯in this church - I really liked this idea as I believe that it is more friendly to the environment. Another thing that I liked is an alley with the paintings and mosaics to the church from all over the world 🌎 One can find donations from the South America, India, and my homeland Ukraine 🇺🇦 It feels really good to find things related to your country when you are that far from it, especially when your country is under attack from the terrorist russian state. If you plan your visit in advance, I also recommend to bring coins and cash for the donations to support the church.

a very special place with unique story. the church itself quite new and was built upon the ruins of the origins of st. mary...many illustrations from around the world were sent here for display and you sense that this is a piece of history. there is no entrance fee and many pilgrims come here for spiritual charging.

The most impressive church I’ve ever seen. It is modern, huge, tho it still preserve the old trails from Jesus’s time. Also, in the church’s yard, there are icons from all around the world, and it’s interesting to see different cultures picturing the holy family in their own way. You can visit the church for free, there is no fee.

Man oh man this place is absolutely mind blowing. When you walk in you can't imagine how huge it is but then you see it with your own eyes. Simply amazing

The temple of bacchus and surrounding ruins are an absolute wonder of engineering. Make sure to hire a guide because it will make your visit so much more enjoyable and you will learn so much. Photos can’t even begin to do it justice. If you get the chance, definitely visit!

A wonderful UNESCO world heritage site coming within the Baalbek Temple complex. Very well maintained and neat and clean. Check out the carving over the stone ceilings made back in the day, unbelievable

The Temple of Bacchus is truly incredible. Built around the 2nd century AD and dedicated to Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, it’s one of the best-preserved and largest Roman temples in the world..actually bigger than the Parthenon in Athens! The scale is incredible, with towering columns (almost 20 meters high) and beautifully detailed carvings. The whole site is quiet and not crowded, so you can really take your time exploring and taking photos. Walking through it feels like stepping back in time. Absolutely worth the trip if you’re visiting Baalbek or Lebanon.

This whole site is incredible to visit. It's well maintained, plenty of shady spots. If you love history, Roman ruins, this is a very accessible spot to visit. Easily reached by car, taxi, or bus. Small tip: Dress appropriately for the culture, whether you agree or not. We noticed a situation that could have been avoided with better clothing choices.

One of the most unique places you'll visit in Israel. There are many beautiful along the lake and campsites.

Sea of Galilee aka Lake Tiberias. Is the famous lake where JESUS walked on it and also calmed the storm. It’s also the lowest fresh water lake on earth. Peaceful lake indeed and breeze was so cool.

An amazing place to see with my own eyes. I read all about this place and Jesus' ministry here. I also enjoyed sailing on the Sea of Galilee. Luckily, it was a calm and beautiful day.

"Cruise on the Sea of Galilee"‎ Went on a sruise on Sea Of Galilee. At the jetty came across a novel feature. It is a floating bridge jetty. To board the boats safely and comfortably, Its height can either be lowered or raises depending the level of the sea of Galilee Boarded Cruise boat Noah. As soon as we left the jetty. Indian national flag was brought to be hoisted on the Boat mast. I was given the honour to hoist. The whole group, spontaneously started singing National Anthem. Everyone felt elated and happy. I thought a very nice business idea to set the mood of tourists well disposed towards the cruise company. Returned after about an hour's cruise. During the cruise there was loud music from Indian movies people were dancing and enjoying noisily and thoroughly. Hardly anyone looked out at the scenery nor enjoyed the calm and serene atmosphere on the waters of sea of Galilee, Felt sad at missed opportunity.

We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭. We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.
