A really nice beach located close to the city. It was a bit crowded, but quite clean overall. Swimming isn’t allowed here, but it’s still a good spot to relax and enjoy the view.

Visited in the evening when it was slightly overcast, shutterbugs will love the sunset. Relatively clean and not really crowded. Good spot for a bit of jogging, frisbee or any kind of exercise really.

It's often overlooked, which is rather convenient given its location. The vibe is fantastic, particularly during the sunset, drawing in mostly well-behaved and local individuals and families who enjoy having picnic gatherings there. However, one thing missing is adequate seating arrangements.

Excellent beach. One of the best in Goa. Goa is a land of beaches. Among the several beaches in Goa, Miramar is unique as it has a very vast shore with pure white sand. The beach is very clean. There are lots of tourists all the time but evenings have big crowds. But there is ample parking facility there. Evening is the best time for you as the shore will get a golden hue. It is a great experience to walk on the sand till early night when the shore at last gets deserted and the shore and the sea become dark.

It is the dirtiest beach of Goa on Panjim peninsula at the delta mouth of Mandovi river. Bathing or entering in sea is not recommended, specially in low tide. However it can be scenic at sunset . Good if you are only at Panjim for short time. Otherwise there are far better beaches in Goa all along north to south coast line. Go to this beach when you have no time for others.

Kolva beach is around 5 kms from South Goa City of madgaon, Beach is famous for its white sand, water sports like jet skiing, beach is a popular spot for goans and tourists. It's also known for its vibrant nightlife, beach side dining, you can enjoy a veriety of sea foods there with a sip of vine/bear.

Wonderful beach with calm vibes and unhindered view of the sea. Being less explored, the beach has clean sand & loads of sea shells. However, the approach road to the beach is very narrow with limited space for car parking.

Beach is good...Infact it is crowded...Seriously this is not beach for foreigners / Indian tourists...This beach is crowded with locals & even normal people...They will be looking at us like strange things,even if we are wearing sleeveless...Police help & guard help is available...but cannot do anything with staring...The main thing is,its not men staring at us,its the women...Most of the women were burkha weared or else saree weared ...So their looks will be uncomfortable for us...So if you are a foreigner,it is better to Benaulim beach which 12 minutes away from this beach...U will be feeling comfortable... Betalbatim Beach (often called Belaluim by locals) is a nice, cozy, and peaceful beach — perfect for relaxing away from the crowd 🌊. The sand is clean, and it’s great for an evening walk or just sitting by the waves. However, be careful not to drink alcohol on the beach, as police often patrol the area and can fine you if caught 🚫🍺. Overall, it’s a beautiful, calm spot to unwind and enjoy the serene side of Goa.

I truly love this beach...just 12 mins away from Colva beach...OMG Colvabeach was tooooo crowded & with locals...Cannot even wear a sleeveless dress...All were looking us strange things...So,was wondering to go where at that moment...then I suddenly found this beach...This beach is awesome...but it might filled with locals due to popularity in the future...But was toooo good now...Like other beaches in Goa...We could wear beachwears which was not possible in Colva beach...Had a peaceful waves only...very calm beach....😍😍😍

The crowds here are minimal, allowing for long, quiet walks along the pristine sands where you can actually hear the waves rather than loud music. The location is excellent, providing easy access while retaining that essential laid-back, "old Goa" charm that many visitors crave. It's a fantastic spot to simply unwind and soak up the Goan sun without the constant noise and rush. The overall experience at Benaulim was overwhelmingly positive, supported by practical amenities that make a beach day stress-free. The beach is lined with a collection of genuinely nice shacks, offering comfortable seating, refreshing drinks, and delicious local food without being overly intrusive or pushy. Furthermore, for those driving, the availability of plenty of parking space right near the beach access points is a huge advantage and certainly adds to the convenience. While it’s slightly quieter than some might prefer if they’re looking for a party scene (which is why I'm giving it a strong 4 stars instead of 5), Benaulim Beach offers a wonderfully restful, good-value, and memorable day out. Beautiful beach with nice clean sand . It’s a long beach. One can walk or run on the beach from one end to another end . Luckily well mantained by the local panchayat, as there are no plastics or broken glass of left over liquor bottles on the beach as seen on various other beaches . Must visit site .

My hotel was right on this beach — very clean and almost no crowd, probably because we visited in September. The highlight was the beautiful sunset view, which made the stay even more special.

Probably the best beach experience we had in South Goa! We went in the morning around 8 and relaxed by the beach, which was largely empty and made it feel like a private beach experience. There are lots and lots of shells on the beach and we picked a handful of them with different colors and shades. Very beautiful and a must-visit in South Goa.

Varca beach is well maintained clean beach in South Goa. Less crowded silent wide beach. Beach sports activities like para gliding available here. Good for photo shooting.

One of the best beaches in South Goa, with crystal clear water, no mud. Amazing scenery and plenty of watersporting activities, like paragliding and other stuff. Know how to bargain, they always say double the price they will actually sell for, trust me. This beach is a must visit, even if you're staying in North Goa.

We travelled on 11th Oct 2025. Jeep safari had just opened a day before after the monsoon break. It's recommended to start the journey early we started at 8 am . It is a one hour journey by jeep to the waterfall. You will be given 90 minutes at the waterfall. Additional time can be spent at additional charges. It is the best time to visit as waterfall is in full flow post monsoon. Jeep can accomodate 7 pax . 600 rs per person or 4200 per jeep. Forest check point charge 250 which includes life jacket charges. Pls do not litter this beautiful natural paradise.

A must visit place for people seeking some adventure. You have to reach Kolem by your convenience. Then you’ll have to book local jeep that will take you near the waterfall which would take around 45min. Then there’s 5-10 minutes of hiking and you’ll see the beauty of nature. That’ll cost around Rs 850/- including the forest charges which is 250 Rs. You’ll also get a life jacket that’s included in 850 Rs. You’ll also can also swim in the waterfall.

Good place for adventurous trip. You have option to go for hiking treking and jeep tour. It takes 45mins to go by jeep from the forest gate. Some places you cross the streams and full bumpy road for 45mins. You will be given 90 minutes to enjoy at the water falls. These jeep drivers charge waiting charges if you cross 90 mins. Avoid if elders with back pain. Also the water fall area doesn't have proper fencing support railing or any proper means to stand. Plenty of changing rooms but not maintained properly. You have a life guard near the water falls. Rocks are very skidy and be cautious.

Heavy Queue up to 3-4 hours for buying ticket, after ticket buy seat in their bolero around 45 min then you reach dudhsagar waterfall parking area… after that 10 min walking for dudhsagar waterfall, after seeing you feeling just wow… awesome location.. but time taken.

Writing down so that anyone who wants to go can have an easy trip. Things to note: You cannot take your personal vehicle after the ticket booking point in Kullem. No shops inside, so take your water bottles with you. The road is very very rocky. Anyone with back problems is adviced not to go. You will need to pay a maintanence fee, its about 220 per person. Carry cash, they do not accept any digital payments. Theres 3 ways to reach the actual falls. The first 2 options are a trek. You can trek from Kullem or Castle Rock. The trek from Castle Rock is almost a whole days worth trek and you will need a guide. The one from Kullem is about half a days worth. The roads to reach there are also very muddy mostly because of jeeps that keep crossing the road. I personally would not recommend the trek because it's not very scenic, the roads are bad to non existent and is dangerous in general, especially from Castle Rock. And you can't take a jeep back from there either because jeeps already have their passengers pre-booked from the ticket point. The only advantage of the trek is that you can stay at the falls as long as you want. The third way is to book a jeep. Best way imo. They run non stop from the ticket point. It's 500 person(on top the maintanence fee). They'll drop you at the final leg, from there you have to trek for 10mins. A very simple trek. You get 1.5 hours at the falls. Enough to see whatever the falls has to offer.

It’s an easy to moderate trek for around 11.5 kms one way…the view is not much what we expected but was okish. The guide will force you to take the train track route but please make sure you take the forest route for better view and experience.

There are Two ways to Explore the Mighty Falls, one in by Trek and other is Jeep safari which is 4200 per jeep (Rs.700/- per Head) if you are less then 7 you can share with others. By Trek is very difficult for Inexperience, its took 3 hours up and 3 hours down total of 6 Hours Walk. Forest Entry Ticket is Rs.250/- per person. Jeep Travel time is 45 Min up and 45 min Down. They Gave you 1.30 Hours for bath in Falls if waterflow is low. The 1.30 hours time is not enough for everyone because we cant get out of the falls due to its carry such joy and wild experience, they gave you life jackets so don't worry about if you not know to swim. Overall I highly recommend everyone must visit this Falls once you are in GOA. Timing 9.0 am to 3.0 pm. Checkpost is walkable from Kulem Railway Station, which is 30 min from Madgoan Junction.

The sunsets here are unreal — golden skies reflecting on the water as boats float by. Early mornings are just as magical with dolphins often spotted near the shore. Easily one of the most beautiful and relaxing beaches in Goa.

I visited here on 20-Apr-2025. Serene place. Parking available. 80 rupees per person. There is a small stall where you can get water and other stuff. From parking to the view point there are steps, climbing upstairs will be a little breathtaking so do have water in hand. One of the best places to visit in Dandeli. Some people do park their vehicle at the ticked counter and tend to walk, trust me it’s doing to be tiring better take your vehicle till the parking place.

One of the unique natural monolithic rock formations to see which has been preserved. Recently opened. Do visit when it's not raining since it's a mud road which poses risk with downhill bends and elevation while returning. Cash only tickets. Either way you won't get any network.

It's a wonderful heaven-like place. You can see various types of rock elements in one giant Syntheri rock. The beauty the rock has with underwater has a great impression.

Nice place but have to go down a long way. Going down is easy, while coming up ita tiresome. Carry water no shops nearby. From gate its no proper road to point/steps atleast 15 min.

At a distance of 31 km from Dandeli and 16 km from Ulavi, Syntheri Rock is monolithic granite structure with a height of 300 feet, which is located in the dense forests of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. It is one of the top Dandeli tourist places to visit. Syntheri Rock is a huge, massive limestone rock formed due to volcanic eruptions some million years ago. It is named after an English lady called Ms. Cinthera who is believed to have discovered this place in 20th century. River Kaneri passes along the side of this rock. Owing to the flow of the river from the vicinity, erosion has resulted in the rocks getting hollowed. The corners of this rock cave are inhabited by numerous pigeons and honeybees. Entry to the venue is controlled by forest department. The site can be reached either by jeep or by walk through the dense forest from the entrance. At the entrance visitors need to pay nominal entry fee and vehicles can go up to the parking area from where visitors need to climb down to reach the base. There is a 15-20 minute walk from the vehicle parking to the rock. A flight of 200 odd steps downwards lead you to the base. The steps are very steep and various types of rocks found in the forest are displayed along the steps.

It’s a great place to visit. It’s a very small theme based museum. It’s a navy ship INS Chapal and a cargo plane. Only navy ship is converted into museum where you can go inside seeing all the inner things like how to cabins were made,how the staff operated, how the places and engines are designed and assembled. Everything being kept in its original form that’s why it became rotten. But worth visiting. It’s lies somewhere between Gokarna and Goa route(may be I am not correct) Entry fees only 20rs per person. Must visit once.

50 Rs. Entry ticket per head. Could have been managed better by the Karnataka Tourism Board. Since, I have been to the naval museum at Vizag, this feels a little less. The caretaker at the entrance of the Karwar tupalov aircraft museum is very passionate about his job and knowledgeable about the exhibits and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with visitors. I hope the government provided better guided facilities to the visitors here since the entry is ticketed.

The Warship & Aircraft museum at the Karwar beach is a special thing. We are allowed to get the glimpse of a decommissioned missile launcher ship of Indian Navy, the INS Chapal. Along with that the anti submarine aircraft Tuplev T-142M is also on display. After watching the amazing machines from inside and outside, one is filled with pride about the skills and hardwork that our soldiers put in for our safety. Photography is allowed on the deck and inside the ship but not inside the plane. AC are installed inside to make our experience more comfortable. A must watch if you go to Karwar. ₹ 50 are charged as ticket fee per person. The museum is open daily from 9.30 to 12.30 and then from 14.00 to 17.00

Entry fee is ₹15 and please ensure you carry change with you. Online payment was not accepted when I visited so please ensure you have cash to avoid unnecessary hassle.

It's a wonderful experience to see this 2 different war heroes.The complex wiring and control rooms on the ship and jet reveal intense engineering effort. A truly powerful and unforgettable visit. The cockpit view is amazing. Highly recommended.!

It is such a beautiful stretch that sets the tone before you even reach the beach. The road is lined with greenery on both sides, with small cafes and local shops adding a cozy vibe. Walking or riding down this road feels peaceful and scenic, especially as you catch glimpses of the sea at the end. It’s well connected, easy to navigate, and gives you that relaxed, holiday feeling right away. A perfect prelude to the calm and charm of Kudle Beach itself!

We were here during monsoon (August), so the beaches were not great but again this one in particular was not that bad either. There's also a decent cafe on Om Beach called Namaste Cafe where you can relax. With its cleaner brown sands, it was much better than Main Beach which was very dirty and messed up (during monsoon- August).

Had lot of fun with friends, done tracking on mountain leads to multiple beaches, had good experience near beaches, played volleyball and other games and at the end relaxing view of beautiful Sunset. It was like mini Goa with less crowd. I went in February during Valentine.

Later, we just chilled by the shore, played some beach games like volleyball and frisbee, and ended the day watching a breathtaking sunset over the Arabian Sea — easily one of the best sunsets I’ve seen. 🌅 The beach is clean and less crowded, with a few small shops and shacks offering snacks, lemon soda, and local food. The whole area feels like a mini Goa but quieter, making it great for those who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere. A few quick tips: • No water sports here, so it’s more about peace than thrill. • Trekking shoes or slippers with grip help if you explore nearby spots. • Visit during early morning or evening for the best light and fewer people. Om Beach is not just another beach — it’s a place to soak in nature, unwind with friends, and reconnect with yourself. A wonderful beach for families to enjoy some fun times here. The entrance has a bit of stairs to walk down which can be cumbersome when exiting when you have to climb those same stairs, especially with the sun shining. All in all a beautiful beach. Do visit to experience it yourself.

The most lively beach in Gokarna. The boating from there was top notch. Also the walk to the end of beach along with slight drizzle was amazing. Highly recommended.

It is probably the best beach in Gokarna. There are 5-6 total beaches there which can be accessed both through the roads or hiking the hills. Have been to this place twice and it feels really good to be there. Car parking is an issue there as the number of visitors are gradually increasing in Gokarna. Do visit Mahabaleshwar temple whenever you go there.

I went both at night and in the morning, it was a beautiful beach. Wasn't very crowded the time I went. I definitely liked it a lot.

A place where you don't get a mobile network but it is worth visiting. The rocks were amazing. You will love driving here, make sure your car is powerful. There are some nominal entry fees. You won't get food here so carry your own. You can enjoy it outside.

Surreal experience! It’s truly a must-visit place. The caves are mesmerizing, and the route that takes you there is calming and scenic. The Shiva temple is swayambhu, and the walk from the caves is actually a parikrama to the temple. Droplets of water naturally cascade from the rocks onto the Shivling, making it a one-of-a-kind experience. The light filtering through the rock formations in the caves creates a dramatic and cinematic effect.

Road via Mattighatta road(vaddi) is better as walk to Caves is easy and short. Even for senior citizens this route is better. Carry ☔ and water. There is tea shop just at entry point of trek. U get Maggi and other beverages /edibles items. Place is wonderful

The legend of Yana Caves in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, is deeply intertwined with the story of Bhasmasura and Mohini. Yana is famous for these two massive rock outcrops known as the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara Yana is also well known as a pilgrimage center because of the cave temple below the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara where a Swayambhu ("self-manifested", or "that which is created by its own accord") linga has been formed. Water drips from the roof over the Linga, adding to the sanctity of the place. Yana Rocks made up of limestone . It is near to Sirsi Kumata highway. Vehicle not going near to Rock.. A single lane road was constructed in the thick forest which reduces the trek-length 1.0 kilometres .

You can avoid Treck if you go from Gokarna side after Yana cave you can go for Vibhuti waterfall both just take 6,7 hours so go early and experience awesome trills

Drones are not allowed here, so avoid carrying one. Overall, a wonderful and serene experience — definitely a must-visit spot near Gokarna!

I've visited this stunning hill station twice - once in 2018 during the rainy season and again in 2019 during the summer. Both times were breathtakingly beautiful in their own ways. Plus, there's an option to reach the top by jeep too, so you can choose your adventure. If you are looking for Jeep to reach the peak of Kodachadri, no online bookings required. A 12KMS trail passes through deep forest trials along with Hidlumane waterfalls. Trek is going to easy to moderate trek with slight steep trek during the mid points.

Best during monsoon and less effort to reach peak which is hardly finds 20 to 30 stairs but 6-7 kms road travel is very narrow and steepy. Good place to sit and chill.

Do not visit during the monsoon, since you won't be able to see the breathtaking views that everyone is talking about. Once in a while the fog clears up and you can appreciate the view. The drive/ride up the hill is tortuous and difficult. Would not recommend unless you have a bike or a decently powerful scooter. Stay safe!

This place route is not so easy, road condition is totally worse! If suddenly opposite vehicle comes, it becomes difficult to manage and pass from there! Better park your vehicles near the Main road temple Arch and take a jeep ride or better enquire with nearby localites about the condition before going to tophill During our visit it was difficult due to worse road condition

This is one of the oldest Jain temples, dating back to the 17th century, located atop a hill at an elevation of over 800 meters. The site offers a mesmerizing viewpoint and is truly a must-visit destination. Please note that the approach roads include several narrow curves—drive carefully.

Beautiful sights of the valley below and rocks around. The drive up to the hills was difficult with very rough dirt roads. But worth the view.

It's a Jain temple with breathtaking view at the hilltop of the western ghats during the monsoon season. The road though is in very poor condition. People with good driving experience can take this route. The gate to this place closes down at 5pm so make sure you reach there on time.

Although some services/timings can be made more transparent, the sheer size of the project including the zoo, lake garden, Planetarium, heritage village and house is appreciable..The property is well maintained as well..We couldn't visit the Planetarium as it closes at 2.30 PM which was not informed while booking the tickets..Certainly recommended for a family visit, also it's best to keep aside a whole day to visit each section leisurely..Not sure about food/restaurant facilities as we did not use it

Never thought we had so much option in this area. Science park, arts village, water park, animal kingdom, lake garden, planatorian. Plan atleast 4hours for watching entire area. Spend more time as per the intrest. Buggies available for less physically fit people or for better time management. Making prior visit plan will help. Management can improve on cleanliness, clarity in announcement to make it better place to visit

Excellent, economical and well maintained place to visit in Mangalore. Buy the combo ticket costing around ₹220 and this should include a full day of tour. Always take the buggy, that's also economical. If you plan to walk, it's just tiring and a waste of time. Entertaining and educational places like planetarium, zoo, boating at the lake, museum and artisans village. Pack food if possible, only one restaurant inside and food is very bad. Better have short eats in outlets than going to the restaurant. Buggy at the zoo is an additional cost, please take that too or you'll have to walk 2.5 kms.

It was a good experience although it lacked a few animals and some of the coops were empty or were under maintenance at the time we visited. Overall the place would be fun with friends or family. But Cafe inside the zoo was disappointing, with below average food and an overpriced menu.

Visited Pilikula Nisargadhama recently. The place has good potential with a natural setting and attractions like the zoo and planetarium, but maintenance is poor.

Probably one of the best places to visit in Mangalore. The campus timings are 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (closed on Mondays). The Planetarium shows are at 12:00 PM and 2:45 PM — definitely worth attending. The zoo is a must-visit. All places involves quite a bit of walking even if you take the electric buggy. The aquarium, however, is not worth the time. If possible, go for the combined ticket (₹250). Parking costs ₹50 and the buggy ride is ₹50 per person.

Really awesome place to spend the day specially for kids at Science Center and Planetarium, the Lake and Gaden are also well maintained , the Zoo was once well kept however now many enclosure looks under maintenance and less of animals are visible. But it's the best place to spend your day with kids , the battery vehicles for movement and all in the zoo , however boogies should be outside each location with easy drop and move rather than call and wait .

Dharmasthala temple is a unique in temple architecture, unlike other temples have big gopurams, here the temple architecture looks like a home. - The temple is very spacious to accommodate thousands of devotees. - The premises surrounding the Dharmasthala town is like a forest and bit of uphill. - The main deity is Lord Manjunatheswara - Also, deities you can see Dharma Devas and Ammanavaru - Only traditional dress is allowed for Darsan, Male – without banyan and shirt, Jeans allowed. Female – Saree or Panjabi dress. Children – No western wear. - After Darsan, you can visit the Anna Prasada Hall and have temple food here. - Overall Darsan may take anytime between 30 mins to 2 hours, depending on the day and time you visit the temple. - If you have the time, visit the Netravati river and perform river bath before having the Lord Manjunatheswara Darsan. The lot of parking space is available near temple if you come in your own vehicle. Outside the temple you can find lot of shops and hotels if you need to shopping at roadside and have food. If you have the please do visit the Kukke Subramanya Temple which is about 1.30 hours away from Dharmasthala temple, and in general whoever visits the Dharmasthala temple, they also visit the Kukke Subramanya Temple.

I recently visited Dharmasthala, and it was a peaceful and divine experience. The temple is well-organized, clean, and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere around the temple is very positive, and the architecture adds to the spiritual feel of the place. The free Anna Prasada (meals) is served with a lot of care, and the food is simple, tasty, and satisfying. Parking and facilities are well arranged, and the entire area feels safe and visitor-friendly. Overall, a must-visit temple for anyone traveling around the region. Note :- Avoid weekends

- This devine place is believed to be well known since ages and powerfull too - This temple has a historical story behind it. - Temple darshana timings are as follows: - 6.30 am to 2pm - 5pm to 8.30pm - Annaprasadam timings are as follows: 11am to 3.30pm and 7pm to 10pm - Temple will be usually crowded with devotees, now the temple Authorities have made a good arrangements for the devotees to be seated, so as we move forward in line, we will reach a place where all the people are made to be seated in a room and batch wise they will let them in. - The waiting room is so good, its air contioned room, have a seating arrangements for everyone, there is sepeartwe washroom for ladies and gents. There is drinking water facilities too and stores which sell eatables. Room is also equipped with TV. - Darshanna was quite good compared to before days. - Parking facilities are available - The Annaprasadam dinning hall also is so good and systematically arranged, one should not miss it.

Difficult to find rooms but the cost is affordable to all. Long wait for darshan. Recently they made resting areas during the queue like tirupati. Clean floors. Better to visit in the early morning to avoid rush. We entered at 6.30 am and came out at 7.30 am.

Dharmastala temple and the city visiting is truly spiritual. Location and the nature of the temple is Incredibly amazing. Despite having huge numbers of devotees visiting this place still being organized so beautifully, everything looks great, pleasant and peaceful !! I love visiting this place all the time. Around the temple other attractions places, like museum, gardening and the Jain temples are popular. Must visit Temple in Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka.

Bekal Fort is a must-visit gem in Kasargod! The old colonial-style fort is beautifully constructed, and walking through its massive walls gives a glimpse of history and architecture that has stood strong for centuries. The fort itself is well maintained and offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. Right next to it is Bekal Beach, which is clean, lively, and very happening. There are plenty of small stores and eateries around, making it a perfect spot to relax after exploring the fort. The sunset view from both the fort and the beach is simply spectacular. A perfect blend of history and natural beauty — highly recommended for anyone visiting North Kerala!

Bekal Fort is one of Kerala’s most impressive and beautifully maintained historical landmarks by ASI. 👍 Got famous after a Movie song in film (Bombay) 🎥 The entry / parking can be better managed, had to wait on the road for 20-25 minutes inching from main road to parking lot. Parking charge is Rs.40 Entry Tickets to be bought at the counter opposite to the main entry to port (Rs.25) Spread over 40 acres, it’s the largest fort in Kerala, built in the 17th century by Shivappa Nayaka of the Keladi Nayaka dynasty. Later, it came under the control of Tipu Sultan and the British — each era leaving its mark on the fort’s architecture and story. Prepare for long walks and inclined climbs in watch towers. Scenic views of the sea and nearby beaches and town views, worth it. There are stone benches to sit / relax. Could see drinking water taps at few places. There are couple of small shops selling ice cream, juices and water, packed chips, etc. Best part is on the west side sea viewing point (going down stairs) and watching sunset. There are places to sit and also go up to the final watch tower where the waves hit against. Incredible fort. The entry fee is Rs. 25. This fort offers breathtaking scenic views. We arrived early in the morning, and the central area was peaceful. Upon reaching the viewpoint overlooking the beach, the sight was stunning, and the gentle sea breeze was calm and soothing. Overall, it is a lovely place to relax and enjoy.

Visited Bekal Fort recently — it’s a beautiful historic place with a stunning sea view. The atmosphere is peaceful and perfect for an evening visit. The fort area is well maintained, though it can get quite hot during the day, so sunset time is best. Nearby, there’s an ANERT EV charging station, which was very convenient for charging my electric car. Food options are limited (mostly ice cream and water), but overall it’s a must-visit place in Kasaragod! 🌊🏰⚡

The temple is dedicated to Lord Subramanya, worshipped here in connection with serpents (Naga devatas). The darshan was smooth and well-organized. Despite the number of visitors, the queue moved steadily, and the priests conducted the rituals sincerely. I was able to feel a strong spiritual presence inside the sanctum. I also appreciated the temple's cleanliness and orderliness, especially considering how many people visit daily. The architecture is traditional and adds to the sacred feel. The weather during my visit was rainy,. I recommend carrying an umbrella or raincoat if you're visiting during the monsoon season, as showers are quite common. It was nice visit to this spiritual place. Went along with my friends. This place has very different vibe all together. Mighty Kumar Parvat is being visible. Went on Saturday evening had our prasad which took around 1 hour including wait & taking of prasad. Faced issues while getting guest house of Temple trust (book in advance) availability on weekends or festive season will be a issue. Took hotel outside. Darshan: went at temple at around 0600hrs and waited in a que till 0700hrs. Darshan started at 0700hrs & by 0740hrs we were out. Cons: Temple committe should work ok Maintaining the cleanliness of prasad house Overall experience was nice.

I think, it is most the famous waterfall of Coorg. it is located about 8 km from North of Madikeri town in Coorg, is one of the most enchanting waterfalls in Karnataka. I absolutely loved this place! It’s a beautiful spot with great views and totally worth the ₹20 entry ride. The atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing a perfect getaway to enjoy nature. There are mini food stalls at the entrance selling corn, ice cream, and other snacks, which adds to the fun. They even have ziplines, making it an exciting place for both kids and adults! The area has plenty of seating, so you can relax and take in the surroundings. I really liked the animal statues and the light and water show in the evenings it’s a wonderful visual treat! Unfortunately, it started raining during my visit, so we couldn’t stay long. I would suggest adding a shade or shelter near the light show area so visitors can still enjoy it during bad weather. There’s also a park for kids, where they can play and have a great time. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for families, couples, and nature lovers looking for a relaxing and fun outing.

We enjoyed the kids activity here. There are activities for kids from 5 years and it charges only Rs. 150/- for 5 year kids activity which includes total 4 activities this I found very cheap. For kids this place is best. The view was nice. The garden was under maintenance.

Such an awesome , ancient temple to Sri Subramanya . The architectural speciality is its Gajaprishtakara vimana ( shaped like elephant back) and the very lovely wooden bracket sculptures . In the evening , when they light the oil lamps , it is a truly divine atmosphere . The temple pond is a picturesque place , with a very ancient tree nearby . Devotees can feed puffed rice to the fish in the pond .

This is a very holy temple of lord Murugan. I suggest visiting at 7pm for a beautiful aarti. It looks very beautiful in the night with lamps lit all around.

There are also small shops nearby selling Tibetan souvenirs, handmade items, and food. We had a wonderful experience at Dubare Jungle Lodges! The place is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a family or friends outing. The food served was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. One of the highlights was bathing and feeding the elephants – such a unique and memorable experience! The staff deserve a special mention – they are extremely sweet, caring, and make you feel very comfortable. On the night of our stay, we were the only family there, and though we felt a bit scared at first, the staff were so friendly and reassuring that we soon felt completely at ease. Officer Ram was very helpful throughout our stay, and Nagaraj, who guided us on the safari and nature walk, was polite, patient and courteous Overall, we had the best day at Dubare Jungle Lodges and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature

Stayed at JLR Dubare on 12th October 2025 Open but safe parking. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained. Food options are limited but sufficient. The safari is good for beginners — great to enjoy the forest landscape and trees, but not ideal if your expectation is to spot tigers or elephants. The Dubare Elephant Camp is the real highlight — a wonderful experience to interact with elephants up close: bathing, feeding, and learning about them. Special thanks to Mr. Girish, an excellent naturalist, who ensures you have a meaningful and memorable time with the elephants. A must-visit for elephant lovers!

We had a wonderful stay at Jungle Lodges .. Dubare Elephant Camp. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, offering a peaceful stay close to nature. A special mention to the naturalist who guided us during the elephant interaction session..he was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything so patiently. We truly enjoyed learning so much about these gentle giants. The food was the highlight of our stay. Every dish they served felt homely, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find such simple yet delicious food, and we genuinely looked forward to every meal. Yes, the stay is a little on the expensive side, but the experience, hospitality, and quality make it worth every penny. Overall, a memorable and refreshing getaway. Would definitely recommend it to nature lovers and families.

Rooms were spacious. We booked the River View cottage and the view was indeed beautiful. The food was homely and all the service personnel were extremely helpful. The elephant interaction and elephant feeding activities were great! The safari was not worthwhile but that might have been our bad luck.

We only stayed for a day, but wow, what a great spot! The backwater scenery is stunning. We had such a fantastic time—the music was awesome, and Prashanth, you have a killer voice! Seriously, the food is delicious too. Definitely recommend it!

If you want an entire private jungle experience, head to JLR - Dubare. The resort is completely cut off from the rest of the crowd. To start with, you can park you vehicle on the banks of the Cauvery, and take a private boat to the resort. There you will be greeted by the helpful staff who will brief you about you stay. The itinerary includes 3 meals , tea/coffee, snacks apart from the nature walks and jungle safari. If you are luck you will spot some creatures during the safari. The staff is courteous and polite. During the rains, beware of leeches abd make sure to wear closed footwear. The resort's room are made with bamboo furniture and there is damp smell to it. If you dislike this, visit in the summers, but Cauvery might run dry then. The main attraction is the fully private elephant interaction experience. You can bathe and feed these gentle giants and click a million pictures with them. A must do, if you have kids.

Dussehra vacation was unforgettable because of stay at Dubare Jungle Resort - morning nature walk at 7am, elephant Interaction at the camp in the morning, forest safari in the evening from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, campfire at 7pm, a documentary on Kaveri - The River of Life (my daughter saw it twice), and not to forget the yum food, beautiful cottages with river view and forest view, and courteous and friendly staff. Very bad .. no proper way or family friendly way to get to the waterfall.. if you cannot do trekking for more than 3 kms , then it is of no use.. better not visit this place .. very dangerous for family members

Chelvara Waterfall is absolutely stunning! 🌊✨ The view is amazing, surrounded by lush greenery that makes it a perfect spot for nature lovers. The sound of the water and the peaceful atmosphere make it a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Coorg. Must-visit if you’re in the area! 🌿

This waterfall can be considered more of an optional stop during your Coorg trip, as you can’t actually reach the bottom for a close-up view. The location is a bit far and there aren’t many other attractions nearby, but if you have extra time, it’s still worth a visit. You’ll need to climb a little to reach the side viewpoint, but the scenery from there makes the effort worthwhile and offers a refreshing experience amidst nature.

The drive to the falls is quite good, through the hills and coffee plantation. The falls is visible from the road itself. There's a short hike (200m) from the road, through a small part. Beware of leeches though. The road goes towards a peak and viewpoint from here. That was totally worth it btw.

Chelavara waterfalls is a nice waterfall in Coorg near Kabbe Betta. There is a small parking space (for 2-3 cars) here. Waterfall can be accessed by a small 5 minute hike. Bicolored frogs can be spotted here. Area can be bit dirty especially during rainy season, recommend good shoes while visiting the falls. Not recommended to enter the waterfalls even though it doesn't look dangerous, it seems many have lost lives here.

There is a small hike to reach the view point of the falls. However due to heavy monsoons, there is no entry to the falls, you can view the falls from far. The view is beautiful, with greenery all around

Chelavara Waterfalls is a scenic natural waterfall in Coorg, Karnataka, located about 16 km from Virajpet and 12 km from kakkabe town . A tributary of the Kaveri River, it is surrounded by coffee plantations and dense forests. It is important to note that accessing the waterfall has been restricted due to past incidents.

A good ride through the forest. But couldn't find a great verity of animals. It depends. You really get a great time with the nature and fresh air. Could spot the footprints of tiger. There is a change in the timings. The safari starts from 6 am to 10 am in the morning and 3 pm to 6 pm in the evening. 60 trips per day. 30 in the morning and 30 trips afternoon. So if you are planning to go on weekends and holidays be sure you reach at the earliest. And. The best time to go for is from November to jan. The climate also too good. Maximum number of people that can travel in a jeep is 7. It starts from 3-4. Costs 2100rs. One guide will accompany you to describe things and helps you to spot the animals.

Better to buy tickets online a day before through keralaecotourism website. There are two slots, one morning 6 and evening at 3. Animal sighting is purely based on your luck but signs of animals can be found there, even tiger marks.

The safari last 1.5 hours, costs rs2250 per jeep, so its affordable. its one single road to enter and exit from the other side, its not like Kabini or Nagarhole which branches out like a combing search safari. Its hard to spot animals coz of the thick forest. We spotted Elephants, Sambar deer, tortoises, giant squirrel

We participated in a Sunday evening safari during rainy season at Tholpetty Wildlife sanctuary. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but compared less favorably to the similar offering 20 km away at Nagarhole in Karnataka (see below for details), which we did the next day. For one jeep with 5 people (including a 5 year old child), we paid Rs. 5500, compared to Nagarhole, where the per-person charge was Rs. 1000/adult, 500/child. Pros: No wait. Was able to pay by foreign credit card without a problem. Note to foreign travelers: one passport is required for identification purposes). The tour lasted about two hours. We saw one elephant—a tusker!) deep in the woods and one peacock, but that’s it. Since this was rainy season, wildlife sightings are much rarer. Cons: The safari vehicle used was cramped and very inconducive both to comfort and wildlife viewing as the seats faced inward with very little head clearance and very little window surface area. See photo for comparison to the Nagarhole (Karnataka) safari vehicle. In terms of price, I might be wrong about this, but I believe that one has to rent the entire jeep at a cost of Rs. 5000, which may not be economical for smaller groups. Overall, if you are visiting the Tholpetty area and cannot make the short drive to the Karnataka side of the forest, then this excursion is recommended. I would strongly suggest trying to do so in the dry season to maximize chances of wildlife sightings. If only possible to visit during the rainy season, I would favor the Nagarhole side both for price (pay per head as opposed to per vehicle), vehicle design/comfort and wildlife viewing opportunities.

We haven't seen anything except deer inside the forest. Despite travelling 1.5 hrs through the forest with 4500 INR loss, nothing could be seen. And road was completely offroad (I mean not good for old members)

Good forest range. It's a buffer forest. Recommended to go in summer if you want to spot wildlife. If you just want to see the vegetation then monsoon or winter.

Visitors need to know: it is essential to purchase tickets at least 12 hours in advance, as they are limited and sell out quickly. The current ticket price is ₹220 per person. Regarding the experience itself, I personally found it not worth the price or the hassle. It is extremely crowded, and the main attraction is simply an island area with a flow of water, not a waterfall or anything significantly unique. It felt like a waste of money for what is offered. In short, manage your expectations, book tickets far ahead, but be aware that the experience is basic for the cost. Good meals option is there. That's worth

Had real good time here. Very peaceful and crowd won't be that much and recommend to visit when it's raining. So that crowd will be less and you'll have a great time.

It is a tourist place with its own natural beauty with forest,wild animals like monkey,elephant ,water resources.There is view point cost 220 rupees per person Seperate restroom for male and female with dressing area with mirror which is well maintained and clean As per the forest officers information 500 person is only allowed to visit the area daily

We could not enter the island because of entry restrictions. The rafting on the river was a good experience. It was Rs 100 per person for a 20 min ride in the river by bamboo rafts. One can enjoy this ride as well even if you can not enter the island. There are few tea shops and souveneir shops.

Excellent tourist destination in Wayanad. It is a beautiful group of islands joined by the Kuruva river. We are taken on a raft to the main islands. If you walk for about 500 meters you will reach the part of the river where you can have a pleasant bath. The river is cool and shallow. You can spend any amount of time there. It is safe even for small children. However, it is not at all safe to take bath in other parts of the river. The guards warn tourists but some make a clandestine attempt to jump into the river. When we went there for the second time, a guard showed me why we should not take bath in the prohibited areas!

Bad experience at Kuruva Dweep, lost money during visit. Management should improve safety and proper arrangements for visitors.

Good place for walking in the forest and taking bath in river. The boat just crosses from the mainland to Kuruva Island which is would take hardly 5mins. The people around there are friendly and no plastics are allowed inside island. It's a flat land as there is no elevation observed so anyone irrespective of age can go and explore. Only little part of the island is accessible.
