The lake was built during the 17th century by constructing a dam and has since become an official Heritage Monument of India. It is one of the largest artificial lakes in the world and is situated amidst the Great Indian Thar Desert.
I had put this place on my Udaipur Itinerary and I am glad I did so. Was easily the most fun I had on the trip. Booked an entire boat for an hour all to myself. Mr. Shiv Puri, the boat operator was friendly and helpful. Explore the place for a whole day if you like! The lake is huge and there are historical monuments nearby. The sights of the small islands on the water are beautiful and you can even make stops.

This beautiful man made lake is the 2nd largest in Asia. Which provides drinking water to Udaipur though being about 50 kms from the city . Has been built between 1711-1730 by the ruler of the famous Mewar royal family, roughly 387 years ago. Also, I took this shot from a place which is popular by the name Roothi Rani ka Mahal initially know as “Hawa Mahal”.

Saheliyon ki Bari, a stunning garden in Udaipur, is renowned for its lush greenery, intricate marble art, and enchanting fountains. Built by the Maharana for the royal ladies of Mewar, it features four water pools, marble elephants, kiosks, and fountains. The garden also houses a museum displaying household items and pets of the residents.
Beautiful and peaceful place to visit in Udaipur. The fountains, marble pavilions, and lotus pools are truly mesmerizing. The garden is clean, well-maintained, and full of greenery that gives a calm and refreshing vibe. It’s a perfect spot for photography and to relax for a while away from the city noise. Gardens are huge in size, and you can even play many games when visiting with a big group of family or friends. The water fountains still work perfectly, adding charm to the atmosphere. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Udaipur.
Shivam P — Google review
Saheliyon Ki Bari is a beautiful and peaceful garden, perfect for nature lovers. The entry ticket is ₹30, and there is a common washroom available near the entrance, which is convenient for visitors. The garden has lush greenery, fountains, lotus ponds, marble structures, and an artificial water jharana, which make it a nice spot for a relaxing walk. The evening time is especially good for photography because of the soft natural light and calm atmosphere. However, if you expect a very large or grand garden, it may feel a bit smaller than expected. Still, the atmosphere, greenery, and fountain areas make it a pleasant place to visit. Overall, it's a good and peaceful garden to spend 20–30 minutes, especially if you enjoy nature and photography. Saheliyon Ki Bari was built in the 18th century by Maharana Sangram Singh II. According to history, it was created for the 48 maids (saheliyan) who came with the queen as part of her dowry. The king built this garden to give them a peaceful place to relax, spend time together, and enjoy the fountains. This garden was designed as a private retreat for the royal ladies, where they could walk, chat, and enjoy the sound of water fountains away from the palace duties. The fountains work purely on water pressure without any pumps, which shows the excellent engineering of that time. A beautiful, peaceful, and green garden with fountains and photo spots. Good for nature lovers, though slightly smaller than expectations. Worth a quick visit for its history and calm atmosphere
Kishor P — Google review
Saheliyon ki Bari, or the "Garden of Maidens," was built between 1710 and 1734 AD by Maharana Sangram Singh II of Mewar. Its singular purpose was to provide a delightful and exclusive pleasure garden for the royal ladies and their maids of honour, offering a glimpse into a bygone, luxurious life. The garden's architectural marvel lies in its harmonious integration of Mughal and Rajasthani styles. It features lush, green lawns and a central lotus pool. The most distinctive elements are the white marble pavilions, or chhatris, which stand elegantly against the backdrop of the white walls. Water is the soul of this space. The garden is famed for its numerous fountains, which are supplied from the nearby Fateh Sagar Lake (and later merged into the Bari by Maharana Fateh Singh). These fountains operate without pumps, using a complex hydrostatic pressure system, a testament to 18th century's engineering. Ornamental details are delicate and abundant. Stone carved chhatris feature beautiful floral motifs and repetitive arches, as seen in the dark, richly sculpted archways and canopies. A whimsical fountain, adorned with carved mermaid like figures, stands as a charming focal point in the paved courtyard. Ultimately, Saheliyon ki Bari is a tranquil oasis. Its delicate balance of architecture, floral beds, and the soothing sound of perpetually flowing fountains makes it a beautiful memorial to the private leisure of the royal women of Udaipur.

Saheliyon ki bari - A huge and majestic garden located near the banks of Fateh sagar lake, was built by Maharana Sangram Sinh for the royal ladies. He presented this garden to his queen. The queen was accompanied by 48 maids in her wedding. To offer all of them pleasurable moments away from the political environment, this garden was made. This patterned garden used to be the popular relaxing spot of the royal ladies. It has many sections, fountains, lotus pool and marble elephants. Currently, the fountains are managey electronically. But in the old times, this was managed by the vacuum. The garden is very well maintained and full of greenery. There is a nominal entry fees. Must recommend everyone to visit.
Milan P — Google review
If you love history, beautiful landscapes, and unique architecture, Saheliyon Ki Bari is highly recommended. It’s a wonderful place to appreciate the artistry and thoughtfulness of the Maharana's gift to the royal ladies. Best Time to Visit: Go during the winter months (October to March) or the monsoon (July to September) when the greenery is at its most vibrant. Time Required: You can easily explore the entire garden and the small adjacent museum (which has some interesting artifacts) in 45 minutes to 1 hour. It's a quick, worthwhile stop. Timing: Try to visit in the early morning (opens at 9:00 AM) or late afternoon (around 5:00 PM) to avoid the midday heat and the biggest crowds. Location: It's conveniently located near Fateh Sagar Lake and Sukhadia Circle, making it easy to fit into your itinerary.
RAHUL S — Google review
Amazing Gardens and fountains built over 200 years ago. Some of the fountains and sprinklers are in wrought iron and imported from Liverpool back then. Some marble fountains are actually marvel fountains with water moving through hollow legs or elephants and out their trunks or through hollow pillars and out the pergola. All of this is using gravity and there are no pumps to keep the water the moving - the water comes from the Fatehsagar lake which is 80 - 90 mts higher than the gardens and the height of the fountain therefore depends on the level of water in the lake. Amazing engineering.......
Alok M — Google review
Visited this garden in Udaipur, entry ticket is ₹30 per person. It’s nicely maintained with clean toilets and even fresh drinking water available at the entry, which is great. The garden itself is good, but since I went during the daytime, the harsh sun made it difficult to enjoy fully. They definitely need more big trees for shade to make the experience more comfortable. The only parts I truly loved were the Savan Bhado and Bin Badal Barsat spots inside the garden - those were beautiful!
Akanksha V — Google review
Saheliyon Ki Bari always offers an immense and refreshing experience! This was my second visit — the first time was in 2011 after our marriage. The garden is peaceful, calm, and beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, fountains, and charming pathways. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing stroll, quiet reflection, or photography, and it truly captures the serene charm of Udaipur. A must-visit for anyone seeking peace amidst nature and history. 🌿✨

Jagdish Temple is a significant Hindu temple in Udaipur, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The 16th-century structure showcases intricate carvings depicting ancient Hindu legends. Visitors can witness spiritual ceremonies conducted by Brahmins and devotees inside the temple. While entrance is free, donations are welcomed. Another notable temple in Udaipur is Mahakaleshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and located along the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake.
One of the most beautiful temples in Rajasthan and very peaceful place of worship. The temple is located close to Udaipur City Palace and in the old town which can be accessed by bikes and tuk-tuks. Entry to the temple is free but you can decide to donate to the temples upkeep at the gate. Shoes aren't allowed inside (even in bags) so you have to leave at the lockers. A must visit place in Udaipur.

Do visit in the early morning for a peaceful visit later on it gets crowded by the visitors. The location is accessible only by auto. The deity idol is so beautiful you will immerse in bhakti. Do attend the bhajans in the morning.

Jagdish Temple is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places to visit in Udaipur. Visiting in the morning is especially nice, as the darshan is easy and the atmosphere is calm. Inside the temple, the local devotional sangeet creates a very soothing and divine environment. The walls and pillars are decorated with old, intricate Rajasthani and Indo-Aryan carvings, which are truly beautiful and perfect for photography. When you step inside, you can actually feel a strong spiritual energy that makes the visit memorable. The temple was built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh I and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Lord Jagannath). It is famous for its Indo-Aryan architecture, a black stone idol of Vishnu, and beautifully carved pillars and walls that show dancers, gods, and elephants. A must-visit temple in Udaipur—peaceful, photogenic, spiritual, and full of history.

Beautiful and peaceful temple with amazing architecture and a very calm atmosphere. The place feels truly spiritual, but the roads around it are very narrow, only one car can pass at a time, so it’s better to park your car near City Palace or anywhere outside the old city area. The stairs are quite high, so if you have leg or knee pain, it’s better to avoid climbing. Overall, a lovely temple to visit and take blessings.

Jagdish temple is one of the architecturally and artistically significant temples of North India. It was built by Maharana Jagat Singh-l in 1652 A.D. This temple represents Nagar style of temple architecture and has shikhar, garbh graha (sanctum sanctorum) and sabhamandap. The outer part of the temple is decorated with beautiful sculptures. An inscription placed therein gives detailed information about Guhil rulers and the temple. On all the four sides of this panchayatan type temple, small shrines for Surya, Shiva and Ganesha are located. Beautiful and peaceful temple with amazing architecture and a very calm atmosphere. An Ancient Historical Monument in Udaipur.. May be visited if have some time to hangout. Puppet Museum inside is the best thing.. Good for having Lake View Photography. Folk Dance Show may also be seen here.. in 2 slots of 7 to 8 and 8 to 9.. 200 seats in each Show.. It's good to book tickets online in advance for any inconveniences...

Very long queue both for tickets and entry. Online option is not easily found on the web. Some of the performances were good but some very average, specially the duet snake dance performers, they were both doing their own thing ,no co-ordination and appeared to be very casual. The group dances were good. Overall seemed a little like a tourist trap

Bagore ki haveli offers you 2 kinds of experiences, one is the rich history through its museum and the beautiful view and sunset that you can catch from it's jharokhaas and windows. And the other one is ofcourse the dharohar dance show that you cannot miss at any cost. Book the tickets beforehand and buy another ticket for your camera as it's worth it. I went there thrice, and each time it had something new to offer.
Asma — Google review
Bagore Ki Haveli is a beautifully maintained heritage haveli located near Gangaur Ghat on Lake Pichola. The entry ticket is ₹60, which makes it a very budget-friendly attraction. You can explore the entire haveli in about 30–45 minutes. Inside, you’ll see old Rajasthani rooms, colorful glasswork, jharokhas, traditional costumes, utensils, masks, turbans, and artwork, which show how people lived in the old Mewar period. It’s also a great place for photography, with beautiful courtyards and mirror work. If you want to watch the traditional folk dance and puppet show, there is a separate ticket for the Dharohar Cultural Show held in the evening. The folk dance, music, and puppet performance offer a wonderful glimpse into Rajasthan’s cultural traditions. Bagore Ki Haveli was built in the 18th century by Amar Chand Badwa, the prime minister of Mewar. Later, it was used by members of the royal family, including Maharana Shakti Singh of Bagore. The haveli has more than 100 rooms, courtyards, and beautifully carved balconies. After years of neglect, it was restored by the West Zone Cultural Centre, which turned it into a museum showcasing Mewar’s heritage. A nice, peaceful heritage spot with affordable entry, perfect for a short visit. Great for learning about old Rajasthani culture and also for enjoying the evening folk dance show.
Kishor P — Google review
I visited Bagore ki Haveli museum yesterday and it was brilliant. Previously a guest house and a government office, this is now converted into a cultural center and museum. Entry to the venue is ticketed and foreigner tickets cost INR150 and can be bought at the gates.

A well maintained haveli. Museum has a nice collection of old and antique items. Entry ticket for museum is 60/- per person. They have a dance show in evening for which buying tickets in advance is good option.

If you want to witness the full culture of Udaipur, the intricacies, the preserved details, then visit this gem of a place. But pay attention for it is the sanctum sanctorum of the godman of Mewar, Thakur Amar Chand Badwa. Inside there are chambers dark, dusty, classy and machiavellian. Four Maharanas were outclassed, outstrategized, and out-aestheticised by one Pradhan who built a temple to himself and called it home - Bagore Ki Haveli.

One of the most beautiful palace I have ever visited. It's very magnificent and well maintained. The museum has lot of information. The weapons used during those days, the paintings, dress and culture all are very well preserved. It's a must visit place. There are authorised guides at the entrance please hire one for 500 to get the detailed information about the palace. Do not exit from the exit gate which you will need to pay 50 more and have to take a boat ride which is way expensive instead exit from the entry gate where there are lot of shopping options. There are is also authentic Rajasthani Thali available inside the palace which is good and reasonable.

Lake Pichola, an artificial freshwater lake in Udaipur, Rajasthan, offers boat rides and is home to several islands with palaces. Built in 1362, it was initially intended to meet the city's water and irrigation needs. The lake has four islands including Arsi villa & Jag Niwas, which houses a small palace and a sanctuary for bird watching.
It’s a very scenic and beautiful lake in Udaipur. One of the must visit places. It is near gangaur ghat and Karni Mata temple. You can also do boating but the cost is 800/- per person. It is near city palace for which the entry is too costly which is not worth it. You can come here to relax but avoid the boat ride and the palace visit, you’re not missing much. It can get crowded during the season. There are multiple shops nearby and chats also. Very peaceful at nights.

Lake Pichola is one of the most beautiful lake in Udaipur. The view of the lake surrounded by palaces and old buildings is simply mesmerizing, especially during sunset. The calm water and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and click pictures. The boat ride here is totally worth it - around 15–20 minutes long, giving you a closer look at the City Palace, Lake Palace, and Jag Mandir. The reflections of lights on the lake in the evening are magical. A must-visit spot for anyone exploring Udaipur.

Beautiful lake to spent quality time with family or kids. Perfect venue to spent romantic moments. Boat riding is just 360 prime and 170 for ordinary. Perfect scenerary available.

If you love to enjoy boat road or love to watch a peaceful sunset then this is the perfect place for you. You can enjoy the sunset with you friends or family. Nearby lots of cafe are also there. If you go to city palace from there you can take boat ride to Jag mandir

Monsoon Palace

Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, also known as Monsoon Mahal, is a stunning white marble palace perched on a high hill in Udaipur. Built by Maharana Sajjan Singh of the Mewar Dynasty, this palace offers breathtaking panoramic views of Fatehsagar Lake and the surrounding countryside.
I visited the Monsoon Palace in Udaipur yesterday and it was great. This is located around 20mins from the city centre and easily accessible using taxis. Entry for foreigners cost INR560 + parking for car on the top cost INR360 and must be bought at the gate. The mountain top location provides amazing views over the lakes and Udaipur which was one of the reasons for the visit. The fort palace is beautiful, well preserved but smaller compared to forts like Amer fort and also hosts a museum. It was a quiet and peaceful visit, highly recommended!
Sanka I — Google review
So I visited the Monsoon Palace recently, and honestly, it’s one of those places that’s more about the view than the palace itself. It’s located on a high hill a bit outside the main city, and once you reach the top, you can literally see all of Udaipur — the lakes, City Palace, and everything else. The view is amazing, especially around sunset or during monsoon when it’s cloudy. Getting there is a bit of a ride though. The road is quite steep and curvy, and it takes around 15–25 minutes to reach the top if you’re going by car or scooty. The entry fee is ₹170 per person, and they also charge ₹300 for cars and ₹70 for two-wheelers. There’s a cab service from the base too, around ₹120 per person if you don’t want to drive up yourself. Once you’re at the top, there’s a small parking area, and you have to walk for about 5 minutes to reach the palace. There’s a small café near the palace that sells basic snacks like samosas, puffs, tea, and cold drinks — nothing fancy but it’s good enough if you just want a quick bite or some water. The palace itself is okay-ish, not very grand or well-maintained, but that’s not really the main attraction. The views from up there totally steal the show. You can see the whole city spread out below — it’s especially beautiful during sunset. Overall, I’d say it’s worth going once, mainly for the views and the drive. Don’t expect a super fancy palace, but if you enjoy scenic spots, it’s a nice little trip.

Breathtaking Views & Royal Vibes – A Must Visit in Udaipur! Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) is one of the best viewpoints in Udaipur. The drive up the hill is scenic, and once you reach the top, the panoramic view of the entire city, lakes, and Aravalli hills is absolutely stunning—especially during sunset. The sky turns golden, and the breeze makes the experience unforgettable. The palace itself has a charming old-world feel. It’s not heavily decorated inside, but the location and atmosphere make it worth the visit. The area is well maintained, and there are plenty of spots to sit, relax, and take pictures. Entry fees are reasonable, and there are basic facilities available. Parking is organized, but it can get crowded during peak hours, so arriving a little early is a good idea. Overall, Monsoon Palace is a perfect place for photography, romantic views, and enjoying Udaipur’s natural beauty. Highly recommended—especially during monsoon and sunset! 🌅🏰🌿
Akash G — Google review
beautiful spot with one of the best sunset views in Udaipur. The drive up the hill is scenic, and once you reach the top, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of the city, lakes, and surrounding hills. It’s especially nice during or after monsoon when everything looks green and fresh. On the downside, there isn’t much to see inside the palace — it’s more about the view than the structure itself. The entry fee plus vehicle charge can feel a bit high, and the road uphill is narrow, so it’s better to go with a local driver. Also, there’s limited food or water available at the top, so carrying your own bottle is a good idea. Overall, it’s a great place for sunset lovers and photography, but go mainly for the view, not the palace interiors.

Breathtaking Views and Royal Charm Above the Aravallis! Our visit to Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Fort) was truly memorable! Perched high on a hilltop, the palace offers one of the best panoramic views of Udaipur city, Fateh Sagar Lake, and the surrounding Aravalli Hills. The palace itself has a simple yet elegant architecture that reflects royal charm and history. Though the interiors are minimal, the real highlight is the location and the spectacular scenery it offers in every direction. The ride to the top can be steep and narrow at places, but the view at the end makes it all worthwhile. There’s also a small café and a few viewing points where you can relax and enjoy the cool breeze. Entry tickets are reasonably priced, and parking is available near the base. A tip: Visit in the late afternoon to enjoy the sunset views. Overall, Monsoon Palace is a must-visit attraction in Udaipur for its serene atmosphere, stunning vistas, and a glimpse into royal history. A perfect spot for photographers, couples, family and anyone who loves nature and scenic views!

"Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) in Udaipur is breathtaking! The stunning views of the city and lakes from the top are unforgettable. The palace architecture is impressive, and the sunset views are simply spectacular. Google Maps navigation was easy. A must-visit attraction in Udaipur. Highly recommend!"
Inderpreet S — Google review
Named after Maharana Sajjan Singh, the palace was completed in 1884. It was initially planned as an ambitious nine-story astronomical observatory to track monsoon clouds, reflecting the Maharana's keen interest in science. Perched atop Bansdara Hill, the white marble palace showcases a beautiful blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Its towering turrets, domed structures, and detailed craftsmanship create a majestic silhouette against the Aravalli skyline. The interior features a large central courtyard and marble pillars that are intricately carved with exquisite floral and leaf motifs. Although historically used as a monsoon retreat and hunting lodge, the focus remains on its structural grandeur rather than elaborate ornamentation. A key functional aspect of the palace is its ingenious rainwater harvesting system, designed to capture and store water underground. This sophisticated mechanism sustained the palace's needs during the dry season atop the hill. Panoramic Viewing Experience The palace’s strategic elevation offers perhaps the most spectacular panoramic views of Udaipur, including Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, and the surrounding countryside. It is globally famous for its breathtaking sunsets, which bathe the white structure in a golden glow.

Tirupati Rushivan Adventure Park

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Amusement park with family-oriented rides, water slides & replicas of landmarks like the Taj Mahal.
Tirupati Rushivan, is a delightful destination for families and nature lovers. Known as one of the largest theme parks in Gujarat, it offers a unique blend of entertainment, adventure, and cultural experiences. The park is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a peaceful retreat from urban life. Tirupati Rushivan has a variety of attractions, including thrilling rides for kids and adults alike. The water park section is a favorite among visitors, especially during the summer. The park features replicas of famous monuments and structures from around the world, such as the Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal. These provide a mix of fun and learning, especially for children. For those seeking adventure, there are options like ziplining, boating, and rope activities. These add a dash of excitement to the visit. Affordable entry tickets and activities. Suitable for all age groups. Clean and green environment. Ample parking space. Can get crowded on weekends and holidays. Tirupati Rushivan is a great choice for a day trip with family or friends. It combines fun, learning, and adventure, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to relax in nature, enjoy thrilling rides, or explore cultural replicas, this theme park delivers a memorable experience. Some areas might require better maintenance. Would recommend visiting during weekdays for a more peaceful experience! One more suggestion, keep sufficient cash. They don’t accept online payment inside the park for activities. They just denied.

Tirupati Rushivan was, in one word, a ‘fine’ experience. It is definitely a good pick for children, offering a variety of activities to keep them entertained. However, the afternoon heat makes it quite difficult for them to play comfortably, as the scorching sun can be overwhelming. The rides, unfortunately, felt too basic for adults while at the same time appearing somewhat risky for children. A more balanced selection of attractions would greatly improve the experience, catering to both age groups in a safer and more engaging manner. One of the highlights, however, was the beautiful display of bougainvillaea. The vibrant, colourful flowers added a charming touch to the surroundings, making for a delightful visual treat. On the downside, the washroom facilities were absolutely dreadful. This is an area that certainly needs urgent improvement to enhance visitors' overall comfort.

Had an amazing time here! The place is packed with thrilling activities and fun for all ages. The adventure park had various activities (Go Karting, Dash Car, Mary Go Round, Roller Coaster, Frizbee, Garden Area etc which is perfect for anyone looking for a bit of adrenaline. The staff were friendly and made sure we felt safe and confident during every activity. The water park was just as fantastic. Donot expect it to be as big as other dedicated Water parks but a descent amount of rides that made it easy to spend the whole day here. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and there were plenty of shaded areas to relax when we needed a break. Food options were good — lots of variety and pretty reasonably priced for a park. The Food service was kind of less good but the food was actually good. Overall, an unforgettable experience. Will suggest visiting once ! Just keep in mind that this place is CASH ONLY. (They have option of online payment but only upto 50% of the cost)

Bliss Aqua World Resort

Water & Amusement Parks
Colorful water-based theme park with twisting slides, a lazy river & a splash pool for young kids.
Had an absolutely amazing time at Bliss Water Park! The rides were thrilling, the atmosphere was lively, and it was a perfect day out with friends and family. Everything was well-maintained, safe, and super fun. Great experience overall — highly recommend for anyone looking for a day full of excitement and memories!

I recently visited Bliss Water Park in Mehsana, and it was a day filled with both excitement and disappointment. The park itself is well-maintained and offers a good variety of rides. The wave pool is one of the major highlights — it’s clean, spacious, and gives you the real thrill of ocean waves. Another attraction that stood out was the Crazy River ride, which was total fun and perfect for families and friends looking for an exciting splash. However, my experience was ruined by the food. I had a meal from one of their food stalls, and it was a big letdown. The quality and hygiene seemed questionable. Unfortunately, just a few hours after eating, I started feeling uneasy and later suffered from food poisoning, which spoiled the rest of my trip and the following day as well. While the rides and water attractions are top-notch and worth the visit, the management seriously needs to improve the food quality and hygiene standards. I would recommend bringing your own food if possible or eating outside the park. Overall, Bliss Water Park is great for fun and adventure but fails when it comes to food safety.
Akash C — Google review
The park can easily house 2500 to 3000 people. We went there on a day which was a public holiday, but since there was long weekend, the number of people rhat arrived was less. It is a good water park with around 9-10 rides. Crazy river was one of the best rides. They have a separate children's area. Parking is free. We went there when there was an offer and got food inclusive at 900/-. 200/- was locker charge. 30/- was the charge of 1 photo(soft copy). It has around 9 to 10 big rides. You can easily do all of them without the express ticket. They allow it regular people and one express person. 8:1 ratio. So no real use of express ticket. Also in express ticket only a few Tower rides and crazy river is covered. Children will love the experience.

Had a fantastic time at the water park! The ticket price was totally worth it, especially with lunch included — the food was delicious, fresh, and way better than expected. What truly impressed me was their focus on safety and comfort. The security guards were actively monitoring the gents-only area, ensuring that families could enjoy the pool without any discomfort. There was a well-managed separation between the family zone and the gents’ section, all within the same pool, which made it comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. Highly recommend this place for a fun, safe, and well-organized day out with family! 🌊🍽️👍

Nice water activities but there are no lift to climb the high towers that makes you tired soon. Overall great water park in terms of safety, security and enjoyment. Too much rush on weekends so it’s better if u can visit on weekdays. Including food is also of good quality and great taste. We were unable to do all the rides due to rush and towers without lift to climb and timings of river is also very tough to catch, so if you wish to go through the river you need to plan accordingly and wait for some time.

Better experience than other waterpark, specially food is too good and free cool drinking water arrangements everywhere in water park. Best place to get best experience for rides and swimming. Credit goes to good management. Everything is best, one business idea is there of photography in wave pool. Few photographer take photos in camera and ask to take photos from studio which charged INR 30 per photos and it's mandatory to take all photos which is drawback with loosing one star, there should be option to choose photos from taken photos and pay for only choosen photos, everything else is best. 👌🏻

Bliss Aqua Waterpark is a great stop if you're heading towards Ahmedabad from Jodhpur it’s located around 10 km before Mehsana city, right off the highway. Just note that it’s on the opposite side, so you’ll need to take a U-turn about 200 meters ahead. The park has free parking, but the parking area is a bit far (around 200 meters from the entrance), so it’s better to drop your family at the gate first and then park the car. Entry opens at 10 AM. Tickets are available right at the main gate ₹899 for adults and ₹600 for kids below 4 feet. The best part? All tickets include coupons for a free unlimited lunch buffet. The food was decent we had puri, chana masala, rice, dal, and aamras. Just a heads-up, the dal is quite sweet (classic Gujarat style), but everything was fresh and filling. Now coming to the main attraction the rides. There are tons of options for both kids and adults. Many of the adult slides are designed for 2 people, a few for 3–4 people, and some are for solo riders. I’d definitely recommend visiting in a group of at least 2 to make the most of the multi-person slides. The slides are thrilling and on par with what you'd expect in big parks like Imagica. The wave pool is also quite good and adds to the fun.

I really don’t know whether to put a 4star or 1star, anyway, as a place known by one of the most influenced personality ever, providing 5 star. The place, you will feel like an old clean compound, where the great asabarmati pass by. I reached whe it was quiet calm, very less crowded, neat surroundings. But the government could do more. They can put a Khadi store there for outsiders, can have a stall of fresh juice, can have a ‘Goshaala’ where you get pure ghee.. government could do much more, but presently it is at outskirts of a big city with less development reached. Anyway worth of a single visit.

I recently visited Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram and it was a very peaceful and meaningful experience. The place has a calm atmosphere and you can actually feel the simplicity with which Mahatma Gandhi lived. The museum inside is well maintained and displays his personal belongings, letters, photographs and important moments from India’s freedom struggle. Walking around the ashram gives a sense of history and inspiration at the same time. The view of the Sabarmati River adds to the serenity of the place. It is not just a tourist spot, but a place that reminds us of Gandhiji’s values and way of life. Definitely worth visiting.

Gandhiji's Sabarmati Ashram, located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, is a must-visit for anyone interested in India's independence movement. This serene was Gandhi's home from 1917 to 1930, and it's where he planned the Dandi March. The ashram's museum showcases his life, with exhibits on his philosophy, letters, and personal belongings. The peaceful gardens and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect spot for reflection. A visit here inspires and educates. This place was really helpful for the students and the people who are interested in the history of India. Inside the ashram there is art gallery of the independence movement. There is a small museum there which exhibits the different verities of charkas. The ashram was well maintained and clean.

I recently had the chance to visit Gandhi Ashram with my fellow Local Guides, and it was a truly memorable experience. The moment you step into the premises, there’s a deep sense of peace that surrounds you — it feels like stepping back in time to the era of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum is incredibly well-maintained, and walking through it while reading the display boards and admiring the oil paintings really gives you a glimpse into Bapu’s life, values, and struggles. Every corner of the Ashram carries a sense of calm and inspiration. It’s not just a historical place, but a space where you can reflect, learn, and feel connected to something much bigger than yourself. If you’re in Ahmedabad or anywhere nearby, this is a must-visit spot — not just for history lovers, but for anyone seeking a peaceful and meaningful experience.

A quiet afternoon spent walking the peaceful grounds of the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad. It’s impossible not to feel the weight and grace of history here. Standing in the simple room where Mahatma Gandhi lived is a powerful reminder that the greatest change often starts with the greatest simplicity. A truly humbling and necessary visit.

One of the cleanest and well-maintained places I have been to. I had an industrial visit here. This ashram shows the life of Gandhi in an extensive way. Lot of trees in the premises. Must-visit.
Ramya I — Google review
Nestled on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad (with a wide access now created from the Sabarmati Riverfront project), the Sabarmati Ashram stands as a pillar of India’s freedom movement and the personal abode of Mahatma Gandhi from 1917 to 1930. Founded by Gandhi, the ashram served not only as his residence but as the nerve-centre of the Non-Violent Civil Disobedience Campaigns, including the 1930 Salt March. The simple, humble buildings and open spaces reflect Gandhi’s ideals of truth, simplicity, self-reliance and community life. A standout architectural element of the ashram is its museum complex – the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya – designed by legendary architect Charles Correa and completed in 1963. Correa imbued the museum with a vernacular modernism: modular 6 m × 6 m units arranged around courtyards and water-bodies, brick piers, stone floors, tiled roofs and wooden louvre screens all deliberate to reflect ‘swadeshi’ materials and climatic responsiveness. The museum architecture draws inspiration from the layout of village houses in Gujarat’s Banni region and is designed for incremental growth, symbolic of a ‘living institution’. In recent years, the ashram has entered a major new phase: the central and Gujarat governments have rolled out a masterplan for a ₹1,200 crore redevelopment project that will expand the ashram precinct from the current 5 acres to around 55 acres, encompassing 36 existing buildings for conservation, restoration or redevelopment. The plan includes new visitor-orientated amenities such as an orientation centre, interactive workshops on charkha spinning, handmade paper, cotton weaving, a library and archives, and multilingual interpretive exhibits. Together, the ashram’s historic legacy, Correa’s architecture and the sweeping redevelopment project combine to make Sabarmati Ashram not just a preserved heritage site but an evolving memorial that aims to communicate Gandhi’s values to future generations in a holistic, immersive way.

This is my second visit after fifteen years. During my first visit I spent about three hours at the place going through each and every display. On the River front things were not so well organised. Now the place looks aged and lacks maintenance. The river front is now totally revamped and looks very inviting. Construction work for the new museum has started and may be, after couple of years it will again be a place to visit.

I went to Sabarmati Riverfront early in the morning during my exam days, and it turned out to be a very relaxing experience. The place is calm, the sound of the river waves is very soothing, and the cool morning breeze makes it even better. Ahmedabad can be quite hot, so visiting this place in the morning felt really peaceful. There’s a metro station around 2 km away, so it’s also easy to reach. The main riverfront area is open 24/7, but if you want to visit the Atal Bridge or garden area, they open after 9 AM. There are trees all around, and you can even find bicycles nearby to ride, though they are a bit costly. Still, it’s a good experience, especially for visitors from outside the city. Overall, a great spot for a quiet walk or just to sit and relax in the fresh air.

The riverfront is very beautiful and it is very peaceful during non-peak hours. I visited during early morning hours and I saw people cycling and jogging on the promenade. The river was very calm and greenery was lush. The infrastructure developed by the government there is very well maintained. The walking space is huge and very picturesque. The long riverfront offers ample space to exercise, cycle, run and walk. The place is also clean and not littered by plastic. I also saw a river cleaning boat gathering trash that was thrown in river during early hours.

e Sabarmati Riverfront is a major urban revitalization project in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, that transformed a neglected riverfront into a public recreational space with parks, gardens, promenades, event venues, and improved infrastructure. The project, which began in 2005, created public riverfront land by channeling the river, enabling year-round water management, reducing pollution, and providing a space for recreation, public events, and improved traffic flow. It features a two-level promenade, cycling paths, and public seating, and has become a venue for events like the International Kite Festival.

Lothal, Archaeological Remains Of A Harappa Port-Town

Mentioned on
1 list
Sights & Landmarks
Archaeological museum
Lothal, located in Gujarat, India, is an ancient city dating back to 2400 BCE and was a significant center of the Indus Valley Civilization. The name 'Lothal' means 'Mound of the Dead' in Gujarati. It was known for its advanced urban planning, dockyards, and drainage system. Situated along trade routes connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley, it played a crucial role in trade and commerce.
For history enthusiasts, Lothal offers a unique chance to walk through a city that was once a thriving port and trade center. It's a must-visit for history buffs, offering a rare glimpse into the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. While the site itself is impressive, visitor facilities and information are limited, so manage your expectations and prepare for a largely self-guided tour.
Amit V — Google review
Slightly remote place, on the way to bhavnagar from ahmedabad. There is less public transportation means. Very nice place to feel the ancient history, no entry fees for visiting the site. Lothal museum is under construction about 5 km from the site.

A must-visit place for history lovers! Lothal is one of the most fascinating sites of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. It’s amazing to see how advanced people were thousands of years ago — with a proper dockyard, drainage system, and town planning. The museum nearby showcases pottery, seals, and artifacts that give you a real sense of life during that time. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a day trip from Ahmedabad. If you love history, archaeology, or just want to explore India’s ancient roots, Lothal is definitely worth visiting.
Darshan K — Google review
Not much in terms of excavation, but a lovely place teeming with birds! Though a huge museum is coming up nearby. Worth a visit only if passing through nearby.
Mehul J — Google review
The Harappa civilization site at Lothal is a very beautiful place. It exudes a sense of peace, and the cool breeze makes you wonder why the people of Lothal chose to live here—perhaps it was because of this serene environment and pleasant climate. Although the structures are very old, their condition is gradually deteriorating because visitors enter the ruins, causing damage. In its current open state, it seems like the Archaeological Survey of India is not actively preserving it. The cemetery appears almost lost, with no accessible path to reach it. Overall, the site is very enriching for history enthusiasts, while others may see it as just a casual visit. However, you can truly appreciate that the people of that era had knowledge of science and mathematics. The government should take action to protect and preserve this heritage site.
Rajveer P — Google review
Visiting lothal on weekends specially on early morning drives is recommended. I have visited yhe site at post monsoon so the dockyard is full of water giving real vibe. The location shows there is a museum is permenent closed. If you have prior knowledge of this site then this visit could be the most interesting. Otherwise you real roam around and exit.
Devashree P — Google review
Best time to visit this place is during winters. You will be able to sit and experience the thousands of years of history here. A must visit for history enthusiast. Currently the archeological musuem is under construction. There is no information when it will open again, therefore you won't be able see the artifacts that have been found here. But the site is open and you can definitely visit it.
Srijeeta S — Google review
Visited Lothal with family and really enjoyed the experience. The place gives a simple but amazing glimpse into one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Seeing the ancient dockyard and town layout felt like stepping back in time. Display photos of interesting artifacts explains things nicely. The area is peaceful, clean, and easy to explore. Carry water and a cap because the sun likes to attend the tour too. Great spot for a short, educational family trip. Perfect for anyone curious about old Indian history in a calm setting.

I have been visiting Salangpur Hanumanji Mandir for almost 25 years now and have witnessed its amazing transformation — from a small temple to a grand tirtha sthaan. The growth in the last 5–7 years is truly remarkable. The new dharamshala, with 952 rooms, is incredible — it feels like a 5-star hotel with all modern amenities. The new bhojanshala is outstanding too, with an impressive capacity and excellent management. As for the temple, there are no words — simply divine. Every visit feels special, and the murti of Hanumanji astonishes me every single time. All this is possible only because of Hanumanji’s grace and blessings on everyone who visits. Jai Shree Ram! 🙏

A Truly Divine and Transformative Experience at Sarangpur Hanuman Temple ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars: A Must-Visit Pilgrimage Site in Gujarat The Kashtbhanjan Hanuman Temple in Sarangpur is not just a place of worship; it is an experience that touches the soul. My visit here was profoundly peaceful and spiritually uplifting. Atmosphere and Environment: The moment you step into the sprawling temple complex, you are struck by a sense of calm and divinity. The air resonates with chants and devotion. Despite the crowds (especially on Saturdays and Tuesdays), the management is incredibly efficient, ensuring a smooth darshan (viewing) process. The temple itself is stunning, showcasing the signature, intricate architecture associated with the Swaminarayan tradition. The cleanliness of the entire premises is commendable. Spiritual Significance & the Deity: The central belief that Lord Hanuman here alleviates all sufferings (kasht) and evil influences is powerful, and the atmosphere reinforces this faith. The murti (idol) of Hanuman Ji is majestic and vibrant, inspiring instant reverence. Facilities and Hospitality: The temple trust does a fantastic job of managing facilities. Clean and affordable accommodation options are available, making it feasible for multi-day visits. The food at the canteen/dining hall is simple, hygienic, and satisfying. Overall Impression: My time at Sarangpur provided immense mental peace and a powerful spiritual recharge. It's a place where faith is visibly tangible. If you are seeking solace, a highly organized pilgrimage experience, or simply a magnificent architectural marvel, make sure to visit this divine abode. It is truly one of the most powerful and well-managed temples I have ever visited in India

Perfect place for kids to enjoy. This place has many rides which kids like a lot and many of these are suitable for adults as well. There are rides packages available at entrance at nominal cost like Rs 200 or so for 10-12 rides else one can also pay for individual rides at multiple counters present inside the premises as well. The place is majorly clean and toilet and water facility are available. Some options for Snacks icecreams etc are also available. One can find free Parking on main road outside. During late evening times the crowd is too much so one has to wait in long queues for his/ her turn for each ride. Overall nice breakout place for couple of hours.

The Rotary International Dolls Museum, located in Rajkot, Gujarat, is a unique bi-level museum showcasing over 1,600 dolls from 102 countries dressed in traditional attire. Established in 2001 by Deepak Agrawal, the museum aims to educate children about global cultures through an entertaining experience. Supported by various organizations and Rotary clubs worldwide, the well-organized exhibits offer insight into the rich cultural heritage of different countries.
It is a must visit and best place for kids to see different cultures around the world and that too under one roof. The Dolls Museum is one of it's kind with amazing dolls from around the world. A must visit place in Rajkot. The cultures of different countries are being reflected with the eye catchy doll setups. The place reflects different cultures from around 102+ country with 1600+ Dolls in museum. It's on 2nd and 3rd floor. There is a lift available. Monday is closed. The staff is also very well informed and they narrated us the complete story behind the set up of this museum. The main thing is no doll being purchased, but all dolls are being gifted by all rotary clubs around the world… The entry fee is Rs. 30 per person. There is extra Rs. 30 charge per camera if you want to take photographs. Cool place....

It's is one of the best museum of Gujarat, to understand the global culture. However its in narrow area, parking is also little problem. Worth to visit. Spare 1-2 hours.

A unique museum!! It's a rare opportunity to see a Dolls museum, here in Rajkot. Good to visit with children. The museum is situated on 2&3 rd floors. The lift was not working when we reached there. We had to climb steps. It was built by an ex Rotary president of Rajkot for his daughter. He wrote mails to Rotary branches of the world and hence many international branches sent dolls representing their country and regions. It takes around 1 hour to see all the exhibits. The rooms are air conditioned. The tickets cost ₹30 per adult and ₹15 per child. It costs another ₹125 if you want to click photos. The dolls represent their country's costume and culture. Children can spend good time there. However make sure they have emptied their bladder before. Because the toilet here is a medieval era one, on the ground floor. I wish the Rotary club would pay attention and renovate the toilet as kids come to this place.

In one word it is simply A Magical Journey Through Cultures! The Rotary International Dolls Museum in Rajkot is a fascinating wonderland for children of all ages: Over 1,600 dolls from 102+ countries, each showcased in traditional attire and set up with miniature scenes that let kids explore global cultures at a glance. Recognized in the Limca Book of Records for its unique and expansive collection. The displays include everything from folk dance dolls (like Bhangra and Dandiya) to Barbie and Einstein figurines, string/glove puppets, and even a rare Rocking Zebra—only one of five in the world! The themed showcases are beautifully lit and educational, with info about the country, culture, music, and costumes for each doll. Friendly and helpful staff guide visitors through the exhibits and share the fascinating stories behind many dolls. Includes interactive spaces like a cinema hall showing documentaries and cultural films, a Foreign Language Learning Centre, and a souvenir shop with stickers, postcards, and miniature flags. The Rotary International Dolls Museum is a safe, clean, and well‑maintained spot with plenty of visual stimulation and educational value. It’s perfect for a fun and cultural outing with kids. Every visit feels like a mini‑world tour where curious children can learn about cultures around the globe through beautiful doll displays. Note: Highly recommended Mainly for Kids.

A total different experience. Must visit, just 30₹ pp entry fees. This museum is surely made due to low and attraction towards dolls by rotary club. Definitely not a commercial thought process. Much appreciate the concept. They have 2 floors of museum, soveniour shop inside and collection of 1800+ different dolls from approx. 108 countries. Totally different and unique experience. Worth visiting. Please note its closed on Monday.

It’s been great to see a father’s commitment to her daughter for building such a dolls museum because he wasn’t able to make her daughter saw museum in Delhi. Many activities are going on here with just deposit and if full attendance then they refund full amount. Really well preserved all dolls in museum and one Zebra ride kind of activity is great for kids.

Amazing, surprising, charming and mesmerizing world of Dolls from every corner of world. This may seem to be a children's attraction...But no..Not all. This is the world of innocence, beauty. The White Desert of Kutch is a popular tourist destination in India, known for its vast expanse of white salt desert that becomes visible after monsoon season. The area is particularly popular during sunrise and sunset. Despite its remote location, the desert attracts thousands of domestic tourists every day during peak season. Despite the crowds, the magnanimous size of the desert makes it a soothing and beautiful experience. The cool weather in November only adds to its allure.
A truly mesmerizing and one-of-a-kind experience! The vast expanse of the white salt desert under the open sky is breathtaking, especially during sunset and full moon nights. The Rann Utsav adds vibrant cultural charm with music, food, and crafts. A must-visit for nature lovers and those seeking unique landscapes.

The Rann of Kutch, located in Gujarat, India, is one of the world’s largest salt deserts. Famous for its breathtaking white landscapes, it transforms into a cultural wonderland during the annual Rann Utsav, showcasing Gujarati art, music, dance, and cuisine. Visitors can enjoy stunning sunsets, moonlit nights over the white sands, and the warm hospitality of local villages. A must-visit destination for nature lovers, photographers, and culture enthusiasts alike.
Ashish D — Google review
A surreal place that hits you the moment you step onto that endless white stretch 🤍✨ The silence, the breeze, and that shimmering glow under the sun make it feel like you’ve landed somewhere completely unreal — one of the rarest landscapes you’ll ever get to experience. The best time to visit is definitely during winters — Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan and early Feb ❄️ That’s when the weather stays pleasant and the salt flats look their absolute best. These months also happen to be the peak season, so expect more crowds, higher demand for stays, and busy evenings, especially during festivals and long weekends. Facilities in and around the area are quite good — clean pathways, viewing points, rest areas, and plenty of options for food, stay, and shopping 🛖🌙 Everything is organised well enough for families, groups, and even solo travellers. Overall, it’s a magical experience — a place that feels peaceful, vast, and unforgettable, and something you should visit at least once in your lifetime ❤️🤍✨

Yogesh P — Google review
The endless stretch of white salt under the open sky is surreal and mesmerizing. Whether you visit during sunrise, sunset, or on a full moon night, the desert glows with a beauty that words can’t fully capture. I visited during the Rann Utsav, and the whole setup was vibrant, cultural programs, handicrafts, local food, camel rides, and traditional Kutchi music made it a complete cultural experience. The tent city is well-organized and gives you a mix of luxury and authenticity. If you're a nature lover, photographer, or just someone seeking a peaceful yet unforgettable trip, this place is a must-visit. The Rann of Kutch stays in your heart long after you’ve left.

Located right by the peaceful Ranmal Lake, the temple has a divine charm that touches your heart the moment you step in. What makes this temple truly special is the never-ending chanting of "Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram” that has been going on continuously for more than six decades. Devotees take turns in shifts to keep the chanting alive, and being in that atmosphere feels both powerful and calming at the same time. It's no surprise that this tradition has even earned recognition in the Guinness Book of World Records. The temple is very well maintained, clean, and welcoming, with the serene lake adding even more beauty to the surroundings. Whether you go for darshan, to sit in peace, or just to soak in the spiritual energy, you will surely leave with a sense of inner calm.

Although just a casual temple but the best part is that from last 60 years there have been jap going on of "Shree Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram" non stop 24x7x365 and that too not by recording audio it is done by people. The temple trust has appointed people who works in shifts and common people can also join them. But being such a famous temple the washroom were filthy. The campus was not well maintained and cleaned.

I recently had the most calming and soul-soothing experience at the Dwarkadhish Temple. It is truly one of the most magnificent and spiritually enriching temples I’ve ever visited. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the temple, which only added to the sense of peace and presence. I was fortunate to visit last weekend when there was no crowd at all. I even had the rare opportunity to sit quietly inside for 15–20 minutes, completely immersed in the serenity and the sound of prayers. The temple is beautifully surrounded by the Arabian Sea, which adds to its divine charm. After stepping out, I spent hours by the shore, watching the waves and soaking in the tranquil energy. It was a deeply blissful and unforgettable experience.

Narara Reef The only drawback is that the road leading towards Narara Reef is poorly maintained, so reaching the site is abit difficult. But once we reach the experience is totally worth it. A wonderful experience exploring the marine life at Narara Reef. We were amazed to see starfish, octopus, crabs, puffer fish, and beautiful sea grapes during the low tide walk. The place is a paradise for nature and sea lovers. Our guide Sabir explained everything very well and made the visit truly informative and enjoyable. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves marine adventures and wants to witness the beauty of nature up close! 🐙🐠🌾

It was an amazing experience to see a ocean animals like puffer fish, octopus, corals, sea cucumber and crabs live. You may hold them in your hands, feel them how beautiful they are. This place is worth visiting with your family & friends. But you must know the timing of low tide then only u can see these ocean creatures. In high tide they are not visible. U have to walk up to 3 to 4 km in water. Best time is morning 7 o'clock at that time u can explore more. U can have picnic there with your friends & family.Water level just above your ankle. Must carry ur shoes to walk in the water. Kids have enjoyed a lot. For us also it was very new experience, never thought before of holding these creatures in our hands. It was just Wow....... Nature is Beautiful😍❤😍 love it.
SHIKHA S — Google review
OMG!! Where do I begin, it felt like the most underrated place in India! Had it been in some other country people would be going crazy. Please ensure you reach the place during low tide & have at least 2-3 hrs to explore. So we reached the counter, got our tickets & a guide (taking a local guide is must they charged us Rs 500 but rates are from Rs 300) & began our walk towards the reef, (do wear waterproof shoes as the path is slippery & you have to walk in water. They also provide shoes at ₹30), we saw so many marine life that we never knew existed like transparent prawns, joint animal, flatworm, octopus, puffer fish, oysters, crabs, live corals like moon coral, pineapple coral! It is an out of the world experience. This place is a must visit.

Beautiful garden around the temple where you can relax your mind Sudama ji Sushila ji statue and Mahatma Gandhi with Kasturba statue are both the side in the garden. However you cannot see the sunset but you feel the completeness vibe of the sunset. As you enter the temple starting from left Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva, Radha-Krishna, Laxmi Narayan, Ram Darbar, Karunamayi Maa and Lord Ganesh statues are there. You will find different statues of devotees on the pillars also like Balram ji, Nrushinh ji, etc. The magical Sandhya Aarti takes place at 7:00 p.m. when more than 150 Rishi Kumar sang Aarti, it feels so blessed. Cannot rate a Temple but I must say that you will find peace and spiritual feel. There are 300 steps which is not much hard to climb and you will see the amazing view at the back side of beach and village. Must visit this Temple.
