Not a falls person but this made me one. It was majestic, spectacular and huge. We had to climb down steep steps of 1100 steps to get down there. Getting up again might be difficult. But it's worth the trip. Literally the best falls in Tamil Nadu imo.

The steps can be slippery, so wearing “good trekking shoes” is a must. There are a few resting spots along the way, but be prepared for a strenuous workout. If you’re not used to long treks, take it slow and carry enough water. Once you reach the bottom, the sight of the “powerful waterfall” makes every step worth it! The pool at the base is perfect for a refreshing dip, though the currents can be strong, so caution is needed. The untouched beauty of the place makes it feel like a secret escape from the world. Tips for future visitors: ✅ Start early to avoid the midday heat. ✅ Carry snacks, water, and a change of clothes. ✅ Wear “non-slip shoes” the steps can be treacherous. ✅ If you have knee or mobility issues, reconsider the trek. The journey back up is even harder, so pace yourself. But honestly, the sheer beauty of Aagaya Gangai makes the struggle worthwhile. The best place for one day trip from bangalore. It’s full of thrilling and I have visited many times . But this time I didn’t get chance to go inside Bec water was too much so they had closed it . Best place to visit with family and friends.

It is a fantastic ride of around one and a half hours from bangalore. Marvelous road with smart turns and curves. Bikers can enjoy it. Stay is not so cheap but can be negotiated. Don't go for oil massage if you are alone as yours belongings can be stolen.

The location itself, nearly 3,500 feet above sea level, is captivating. The drive up the hill is scenic, and the summit offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city of Mysuru. Visited the Chamundeshwari Temple on Nov 1st during Rajyotsava— the darshan itself was truly divine and powerful, you can really feel the energy of the goddess. However, the overall experience was quite stressful. The temple gets extremely crowded, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Even with a VIP pass, we had to wait for hours in the queue. Entry tickets cost ₹30 for general darshan and ₹100 for special darshan, but everything is cash only. Crowd management was poor, with no separate lines for senior citizens, families with small kids, or differently-abled devotees. It was hard to stand for long, and the pushing made it uncomfortable. The staff were not very polite, and there was a lot of confusion inside. Parking was also badly managed, adding to the frustration.Govt really need to improve crowd management and cleanliness of Chamundi devi temple. On the positive side, the temple’s divine atmosphere, architecture, and the powerful darshan of Chamundeshwari Devi make it worth visiting at least once. The authorities just need to improve arrangements so devotees can experience peace along with devotion.

Chamundi Temple is a beautiful and divine place in Mysuru, built during the reign of the Mysore Wadiyar kings. It is believed that Goddess Chamundeshwari killed the demon Mahishasura here, which is how Mysuru got its name. Temple is good it is on the chamundi hill, here you can see devi chamundi statue inside the temple by puchasing the ticket (general ticket- 30 Rupess, VIP Datshan- 100 Rupess) per person. You can visit nandi statue which is nearby to the temple nearly 300 steps down. You can have a picture with most famous Mahisasura statue. Near the mahisasura statue only you can get the bus also to enter in the city again. Don't forget to take picture here from the hill top from where you can see the whoe Mysore city.

You can easily spend around an hour exploring the carvings and atmosphere, and the entry fee is only about 3 USD (parking not included). It was calm and quiet when I went (especially during the monsoon season), which made it a perfect place for silence, reflection, and of course some beautiful photos. You can hire a guide if you’d like, but with a bit of AI assistance for dates and background info, I felt I got along just fine — and honestly, how many numbers and years do we really remember? If you do decide on a guide, read up beforehand about realistic fees and tipping. visited Mysuru Zoo and really enjoyed the experience. I got to see the tiger, hippo, leopard, cheetah and giraffe, which was the highlight of my visit. All the animals looked healthy and active. The zoo is clean, well maintained and has lots of trees, so walking around felt relaxing. There are benches and water points along the way, which was helpful. The information boards near the animals were also easy to understand. It's a great place to visit with family and kids. Overall, I had a very good time at Mysuru Zoo and would definitely recommend it. Note: eat well before you enter

An absolute wow! Probably the best zoo in the whole country. All the animals are given plenty of space to wander around. So many species of animals, birds... And they even got some rare species, like white peacock, bengal tiger, black swan, etc. The zoo is veryyyy big, so u can easily spend ur whole afternoon here. They have clean restrooms, places for seating everywhere, and that too in a reasonable ticketprice... They also apply stickers on the plastic items u carry inside, in order to ensure no spoiling. Overall, loved it ✨

Mysore zoo has always been great. It is one of the best zoo in the country. It is quite large with a lot of collection of different animals. Although zoo is not the right way to see animals where they are kept in captivity, Mysore zoo has kept the animals enclosures as close to their natural habitat environment as possible. The design of the animal enclosures are quite good and no compromise on the space. The animals also appear well fed and healthy. The zoo is almost always crowded. The zoo is quite large and the entire walk around the zoo is more than 2.6 km. But battery operated carts are available for the elderly and those in need. Plastic is not permitted inside the zoo. They collect ₹10 in case you are taking any plastic inside the zoo. This is refunded if you show the same when you come out of the zoo. There are lots of trash cans inside. Adequate toilets are also available inside. The full trip to the zoo could take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on how fast one can walk. There is a lake with boating facility adjacent to the zoo. If one wishes, a combined ticket to the zoo and lake can be purchased.

One of the well maintained and the biggest zoo in South India. All the animals and birds looks active, if you visit in the morning soon after the opening time. You can see lots of big trees and resting seats all over the zoo. Trees are properly maintained. Animals are fed on time. We happened to see some doctors checking up with the animal caretakers. The entire zoo holds around 3km of area, so you will be burning up your calories for sure. A must visit place in mysore, if you have kids. Also, you can book your tickets through scanning the QR code shown before the ticket counter. So, the payment can be done through UPI without any hassles. You need not stand in the que for tickets. This is very much appreciative.

I visited this palace when during my childhood, and it looks as stunning as it is even today as well. The painting and drawings on the walls are so beautiful and real that it gives a lifelong memories. Must visit if you want to let your child understand the history from closer lense.

Palace is absolutely beautiful! It closes at 5:30 PM, so it’s better to visit inside during the day. But if you really want to see the best part, come back in the evening. After 7 PM, the whole palace lights up and it looks magical! The lighting is so nice and gives a completely different vibe. Definitely worth experiencing if you’re in Mysore.

The free audio guide centre was not functional during my visit — it should really be made operational to enhance the visitor experience.

A beautifully designed and iconic church in Mysore! The architecture is truly stunning and makes it a perfect spot for photography. Directions: 133 kms from Bengaluru and 78 kms from Mysore, on the state highway, Maddur - Kollegala Road. iii. Plenty of seating place at different levels, socialise and photograph. iv. Closeby restaurant, souvenirs shopping available.

Breathtakingly beautiful. It takes you a while to get there but it's so worth it. I went on Independence day so there was a lot of crowd there so I would suggest going during offseason to peacefully listen to gushing sound of the falls. The viewing area is vast and there is enough space to accommodate a lot of people, you just have to be careful of the crowds there. Plenty of roadside food options too. Definitely worth a trip.

It's a beautiful place it visit specially during monsoon season when the water is released from KRS dam. The beauty of this place can't be expressed in words you need to come n experience by yourself. The flow of water from the rocks is just like milk flowing through it, that's the beauty of this place. I suggest this place for a one day trip. Though the government is taking entry fees the road to such beautiful place is in worst condition from many years, since many people visit this place they should develop proper road to here.

One of the best One day trip place to visit if you are in Bangalore. July to August perfect time to catch hold of Cauvery water falling from the hill rocks. Roads are very nice, it takes approximately 2.5 hours from Bangalore. If someone starts at 6am. Breakfast can be planned on Kanakapura road side restaurants and easily by 9am you will reach the spot. Going early avoid entry and exit traffic at the spot. Big land with Ample parking available near the falls, don't go crossing the parking ground since it's dead end it will be difficult to get U turn done, only bike parking can be done there. Govt has constructed the view points in 3 to 4 spots in a step wise manner for us to view the falls from different angles. Suggest to take umbrella since this is raining season. You get snacks and juice there. Mobile signal is weak here, UPI payment can be difficult better to carry cash.

Journey was so beautiful with hill n palm tress view. Destination is blessed with Beautiful waterfalls with two sides – Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. Best in monsoon when the flow is huge.Last but not least don't forget to for Kaveri river baoting.Nice spot for a quick trip from Bangalore/Mysore. Gets crowded on weekends, but worth it for the view!

I visited in the second week of July, and it was truly great to witness the waterfall in full flow. There is ample parking available, which is very convenient. Please note that you cannot go close to the waterfall or touch the water for safety reasons. This is a must-visit place for a one-day trip from Bangalore.

A truly sacred and must-visit temple. Divine time to visit is during full moon days and suggested to visit early morning. Be carefull of your belongings and pickpockets. Enough restaurants, drinking water, wahsroom facilities are available throuvh out Girivalam path. Auto facility available for Girivalam.

Very peaceful and divine place. Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai is truly powerful — Lord Shiva’s presence can be felt everywhere. The Girivalam (Giripradakshina) around the holy Arunachala hill is around 14 km — a wonderful spiritual walk filled with devotion and positive energy. Best time is early morning or full moon days. Arunachaleshwara Temple has impressive scale and architecture, spiritual significance as one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalam (Agni or fire), and the importance of the Girivalam (circumambulation of the Annamalai hill). It has a powerful, spiritual atmosphere, noting that the temple can be very crowded, especially during festivals or special events like Karthigai Deepam or full moon days., but also that early morning visits offer a more serene experience. Commonly mentioned engineering marvels of the temple, such as the massive stone construction and the mysterious shadow of the vimana and the spiritual energy of the place. You can pre-book just before 2-3 hours for darshan and can be booked both online and offline to avoid the long queues for darshan. Puja items are sold around the temple area.

Visited on week end. Too much crowded. Took around 5 hours to take the darshan. Finding car parking was difficult. Finally could able to park with the help of a auto drive around 800 meters away from Raja gopuram basically it's one of the entrance. Parking fee was Rs 80. I am not sure if this parking was really run by temple authority because it dint look so. Better to take Rs 50 entrance ticket to save some time. I was not aware that there is such facility. After the darshan we can buy sweet pongal and pulihogre for Rs. 10 each. Temple also sells laddus and other items priced Rs. 50 each.

Visited here during Pournami and did the Giripradakshina at night, starting around 12 AM and completing it by 6 AM. The crowd was massive, so after finishing the walk we took some rest in the morning as darshan was difficult due to the rush. Later in the afternoon, around 2 PM, we went for darshan and were able to complete it in just 30 minutes. The experience was peaceful and truly blissful — we really loved the place. We spent nearly an hour in the temple after the darshan, and it filled us with a lot of positive energy. Please note: On Pradosham and auspicious days, the temple becomes highly crowded, and waiting time for darshan can range from 3 to more than 6 hours. Parking is also difficult, and you may have to park far from the temple and walk or take auto. If visiting with senior citizens, plan accordingly. Buying special dharshan ticket for Rs 50/- will help.. To avoid crowds, visit on non-festival days, non-auspicious days, and weekdays.

Worth visiting for Lakshmi’s blessings, but skip the ticket. 🙏🏻 It’s a beautiful temple and definitely worth visiting to receive the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. However, I don’t recommend buying the paid ticket — I got the ₹300 one and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. The free visit is more than enough to enjoy the temple. 🪷✨

Very beautiful temple with huge campus area. Temple is surrounded by trees. Place is very clean and clam. Mobiles are not allowed inside. There are specific slots for free darshan. Otherwise need to pay for darshan. I took Rs. 300 Darshan, in that they will allow to sit in front of God for sometime also they gave Prasad. Restaurant, Parking, Accomodation facilities are available.

Temple space is very vast and there is a famous Mango tree inside the premises which is a must visit. The temple is under construction and hence many access points are restricted from public. Looking forward to visit the temple again after renovation(Dec 2nd week).

Visited on a busy Sunday, the Ekambarnathar Temple in Kanchipuram greets you with a lively, devotional energy that complements its deep sense of history. The complex feels expansive yet intimate in places, with shaded corridors and open courtyards that make it easy to move between shrines and admire details at a relaxed pace. However, the parking area is a mess and muddied. We did park some distance away due to roadblocks within the city, but there is ample place for cars to be accommodated adjacent to the temple itself. The temple is one of the "Pancha Bhoota Sthalas", representing the five elements of Earth, and is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Ekambaranathar. A sacred mango tree is clearly noticed within the complex where Goddess Kamakshi (a form of Parvati) is said to have done her penance to win over Shiva in marriage. It is claimed that the four branches of the tree provide four differing varieties of mangoes in taste and shape with the tree itself being over 3500 years old. Architecturally, the complex showcases classic Dravidian architecture with towering gopurams, pillared halls, and richly carved mandapas. The site’s origins reach back many centuries, with major contributions from Pallava, Chola, and later dynasties; the complex spans a very large area and is among the most substantial temple precincts in the region. Take time to savour in the complex and the intricately carved pillars. Better infrastructure development around this would be helpful. The main entrance and gopuram has construction ongoing and thus not accessible.

We visited this temple on the Saturday evening. There was no rush at all. Temple entry is free & there weren't any special queue. The temple is magnificent and wonder of architecture. The temple is spread in large area. There is ample car parking space. The Shankaracharya Muth is very near to this temple. We felt a divine experience while visiting this temple.

I was also impressed with the temple’s surroundings and the beautiful gopuram and architecture, which reflect such rich culture and heritage. The prasadam was served fresh and was very tasty. Facilities like drinking water, rest areas, and prasadam counters were all available, making the visit very comfortable. The staff and volunteers were polite and helpful in guiding devotees, and I felt everything was well organized. The location is easy to reach from Tirupati, and parking was also convenient. Visited the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple with family on a weekend 01.11.2025(Saturday) around 07:20 AM... We opted ticket for the INR 50 per person darshan. There was a short waiting time of about 20-30 minutes as the Aarti was in progress, but it was well managed. The darshan experience was smooth, with no crowd pushing or chaos, something that made the visit even more peaceful. Feeling truly blessed. 🙏 Only one disappointed. Proper Car parking is not available. Official temple parking should be allocated some space.🚗 Many parking lots collecting whatever they wish to charge. Anywhere in any street some person will come and give you Parking token. At the time of my visit in above mentioned date, a person in scooty token and charged rupees 70 for car.

The atmosphere was spiritual and calming, with proper arrangements for devotees. Even though it was slightly crowded, everything was managed smoothly by the staff and volunteers. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Tirupati – a must-visit temple full of positive energy and devotion.

I recently visited the ISKCON Temple in Tirupati and honestly, I left with mixed feelings leaning more towards disappointment. While the temple itself is beautiful in architecture and grandeur, the overall atmosphere felt more commercial than spiritual. From the moment you enter, you are constantly nudged towards donation counters, book stalls, and prasad shops rather than being allowed to quietly connect with the divine. The focus seems heavily tilted towards generating revenue, with too much emphasis on selling products and promoting programs. The peace and meditative environment I expected was often interrupted by announcements and sales-like approaches, which took away from the serenity of worship. Even darshan felt rushed, as though it was part of a transaction, not a soulful experience. The temple staff appeared more concerned with managing the flow of money and visitors rather than guiding them spiritually. For a place meant to uplift the soul, the commercialization was a big letdown. Though ISKCON has done great work globally, this particular branch in Tirupati felt more like a spiritual marketplace than a sanctuary. If you’re seeking a deep, divine connection, this may not fulfill your expectations.

Visited Tirupati after many years with a lot of excitement, but the experience turned out very disappointing 👎👎 Even with reserved tickets, we had to wait more than 7 hours and got barely 5 seconds for darshan. It feels unfair for devotees who patiently wait for so long. A few issues we faced: • Plastic was everywhere despite “No Plastic” rules. • Dress code was not followed by many. • Food quality and hygiene were very poor - even simple canteens outside serve better. • Washrooms were untidy. • No proper guidance to reach allotted cottages. • Cottage/cleaning staff kept asking for money during checkout. The worst part was returning to our cottage after darshan and finding officials cutting trees and damaging the building area. The stairs became unsafe to use, and the staff showed no concern when we questioned it. Overall, what we hoped would be a memorable spiritual visit turned into a stressful experience. Truly disappointed, and I personally wouldn’t recommend visiting under such conditions.

The darshan of Lord Venkateswara is truly mesmerizing — the sight of the deity fills the heart with devotion and gratitude. Even though there are long queues, the arrangements are well-managed, and the temple staff and volunteers guide devotees with patience and care. The temple architecture is magnificent, reflecting centuries of tradition and devotion. The famous Tirupati Laddu prasadam is both delicious and divine, a sweet reminder of the blessings received. The cleanliness and discipline maintained throughout the temple and surrounding areas are highly commendable. Tirumala is not just a place of worship; it’s a place of peace, reflection, and divine connection. Every visit feels like a spiritual recharge, leaving you with a sense of positivity and inner calm.

Sri Anantha Alwar is one of the only two bhaktas who could tie up the bhagawan Srikrishna Himself. Sri Yashoda is the other one. Sri Anantha Alwar's single minded bhakti is such that the God granted him the opportunity to raise a flower garden, weave garlands and offer to the God!! Even today, the garden is lively. Inside we can Sri Ramanuja pushkarani, the watertank that supplied water to the garden. Incidentally, Tirumala is known as pushpa Mandapam and Sri Anantha Alwar's garden upholds the name. Walk to the end of South mada Street two see the divine garden.

Srikalahasti temple is one of the five holy Shiva temples, representing the PanchaBhoota Sthalams (five elements). In this temple, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Vayu (wind form) embodied as the Vayu Linga (wind god). Temple famous for Rahu-Kethu Pooja. Visit on Sunday or Monday for doing these pooja’s. There are different kind of tickets available for pooja like 500/- 750/- etc..They will provide all pooja materials along with ticket, almost 1 to 1.5Hr required for Rahu Kethu pooja, After this visit Vayu lingam and Take Blessingsy from the god. Have Anna Prasadm after darshan. Mobiles are not allowed and for rooms please directly go to hotels and check. Dont be in auto drives trap they will show hotels with more prices or you can get temple rooms as well. Go to gate no 4 for information center.

We visited Sri Kalahasti Temple from Chennai, and it was a memorable experience. The temple is known for its historical and spiritual significance, especially famous for Rahu-Ketu poojas. It’s one of the most important Shiva temples in South India, with rich heritage and powerful spiritual energy. The drive from Chennai was smooth till Sullurpeta, with wide and well-maintained roads. After that, the road becomes narrow and supports two-way traffic, so a bit of caution is needed. That said, the route is scenic, clean, and visually refreshing — we truly enjoyed the journey. There’s paid parking available (₹60) near the temple. We were pleasantly surprised to find hot and tasty pongal served inside, which added to the overall comfort. The temple was very crowded as we visited on a Sunday. We opted for the ₹50 ticket, but still had to wait over 2 hours in the queue. Be prepared for long waiting times, especially during weekends or festival days. Mobile phones are strictly not allowed, and we had to store them in a locker facility (₹20 per phone) before entering the premises. Also, be aware of many random priests approaching for unofficial pujas and offerings outside and even inside the temple premises — kindly stay alert and follow the official counters only. Overall, a deeply spiritual experience — just plan ahead for the crowd and logistics!

Visited Belum Caves, and it was an incredible experience! These natural limestone caves are truly a hidden gem in Andhra Pradesh. The formations inside are absolutely fascinating — from the "Thousand Hoods" to the Musical Chamber, every part of the cave had something unique to offer. One of my favorite spots was the Meditation Hall, which gave a peaceful and almost spiritual vibe. Walking through the long, winding passages felt like stepping back in time. The Patalaganga stream deep inside the cave was another highlight — it's amazing how water still flows there! The temperature inside was a bit warm and humid, so it’s best to wear light clothes and carry water. I also appreciated how well-maintained the place was, with guides and signboards helping visitors understand the cave’s history and geology. If you love nature, adventure, or just want to explore something offbeat, I highly recommend visiting Belum Caves. It’s one of those places that make you appreciate how mysterious and powerful nature can be.

This is known to be the second largest cave, and it's truly a remarkable place to visit if you enjoy exploring natural wonders. Parking is available for a fee, and the site is fairly well-managed. Inside the cave, the formations are stunning, but be prepared for a long walk. The path can be slippery and muddy in parts in some areas, the mud can even cover half your leg, so wear appropriate footwear and tread carefully. It's also hot and humid inside, which adds to the sense of adventure. The entry and exit are through the same point, and you're free to click as many photos as you'd like. There’s also a professional photographer available inside if you're interested in getting a photo taken. Some parts of the cave are well-lit, while a few sections are slightly dark, adding to the cave's natural mystery. I personally loved the experience. A must-visit for cave enthusiasts and adventure seekers!

Belum Caves is undoubtedly one of India’s most fascinating natural wonders — a long stretch of underground limestone formations that really show how incredible nature can be. However, the experience itself leaves a lot to be desired in terms of management and basic facilities. First and foremost, carry sufficient cash for your tickets and small expenses. The online network here is extremely poor, and most of the time, the QR or digital payment systems simply don’t work. Many visitors are left struggling at the counter trying to make UPI payments that don’t go through. Once inside, there’s drinking water available, which is good because you’ll need it — the cave is very humid and warm as you go deeper inside. It can get quite uncomfortable after a while, so wearing light clothes and good footwear helps. You’ll also notice quite a few bats in some sections — they don’t really bother you, but it can be unsettling for some visitors. Sadly, the signage inside the caves is minimal and confusing. There are long stretches without any clear direction or information, so you’re often left guessing which way to go or what you’re looking at. To make things worse, no guides are available, which is a real disappointment because a place this unique deserves proper storytelling and supervision. Facilities outside are in poor shape — there are no functioning toilets, and the nearby restaurant has been closed for some time. AP Tourism really needs to step up its management here, as the infrastructure is not up to the mark for what could easily be a top-tier tourist attraction. The surroundings are quite empty, with very few visitors, which gives it a deserted feel. On the way from the parking area to the ticketing counter, you’ll also find a few beggars, which is unfortunate and adds to the sense of neglect. Overall, while the caves themselves are extraordinary and worth seeing once for their sheer natural beauty and geological importance, the poor upkeep, lack of amenities, and absence of guidance make it a place you visit more for curiosity than comfort. With better management, Belum Caves could truly shine as one of Andhra Pradesh’s best natural attractions — but as of now, go prepared, go patient, and definitely go with cash in hand.

Very good experience. All family members enjoyed it. Government is maintaining it well. Lights and fans are kept in good spots so that there is a balance of natural and comfort while exploring the caves. But, many visitors are spoiling it by throwing empty water bottles and footwear everywhere. Plan to go in shorts as there is a lot of clay mud on the way and should walk without any footwear (maybe this depends on the weather when you go).

The geological formations are truly unique. Inside the caves, it can get very hot and humid, so it’s best to be prepared. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to explore the caves fully. After the visit, you can rest outside—there are proper seating arrangements and shaded areas under trees, which offer a nice break. There’s also a small snack outlet nearby. And yes, the deeper sections of the cave can feel a little scary—but that just adds to the adventure! Entry is ticketed, and there’s ample parking space available. The restroom facilities were good, and the lady managing them kindly helped us store our luggage. While food options nearby are limited, you can find a few small outlets along the way. They've made a lot of things in terms of ventilation and lighting, but many of these systems are now malfunctioning or have completely broken down due to prolonged neglect and lack of maintenance.

You will be amazed to see such a temple ! I'm blessed to visit this temple, where we can witness amazing architecture, and nandi, which is growing year on year. Also the Venkateswara temple next to this, is also great.

Yaganti is located about 80 kms off the NH near Kurnool. The Uma Maheswara Temple is built by the Vijayanagara Kings in the 16th century. The place is surrounded by hills and is surreal. The drive takes you through hills and ravines and is an adventure in itself... worth the drive. We really enjoyed the beauty of the place and its history... legend says that Sage Bramha and Sage Agastya meditated in the caves surrounding the Temple. A must visit with family to understand our Rich culture and history.

Excellent temple, No crow is to be seen with in the premises as cursed by the great sage Agastya muni. 3 caves for Agastya muni, Venkateshwara swamy and Vishnu cave which needs some effort to climb all the stairs. Basavanna seems to be growing inch by inch as prophesised by Srimadvirat Pothuluri veera bhramendra swamy varu.

Yaganti temple is very old and historical temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Inside the Garbhagruha, if closely observed, you can see both Uma (Parvathi) and Maheswara (Shiva) images on Lingam, thats why the name Uma Maheswara. We can touch the Lingam if we take special ticket for abhishekam and perform the abhishekam with our own hands. Inside the temple is very calm and peaceful, we can even do the meditation. There is a water pond inside the temple where the water flow continuously, not sure where it comes from. The main attraction of the temple is the Basavanna (Bull), who is growing every year. There are many historical caves around this temple, Dont miss to visit them.

Also it is budget friendly trip. Lots of staying options are available near temple and by online booking you can get sparsh darshan.

The temple is truly a peaceful and divine place where one can feel positive energy and calmness. I always find a sense of inner peace here. However, the management needs serious improvement. The temple authorities and staff often behave rudely with devotees, which spoils the spiritual experience. There is no proper communication or announcement regarding temple closing times, leaving visitors confused and disappointed. Also, the Sparsh Darshan tickets are available only through the official online site, but the website is poorly designed and often doesn’t work properly. It would be much better if the temple management focused on improving the online system and showing more respect and hospitality towards devotees.

The only Shrine in India with Both the Jyothirlingam and Shakti Peetham located with in the same Pranganam of the Temple. One of the most powerful temples in India. Srisailam has a good connectivity by Bus from major cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. If by Train, the nearest Stations are Markapur Road/ Nandyala. Depsite being the Shakti Peetham and Jyothirlingam, temple won't be much crowded as it is in the interior part of the State. Can expect more crowd during Special Occasions and on weekends. We visited in the Karthika Maasam and on weekend. It took 1hr for us for Darshanam. Crowd increases from morning to evening. Plan to reach temple premises by night or in the morning as the Ghat road will be closed midnight as it is forest area. Lot number of Hotels/ Satram's/ Dharamshala's will be there near Shrine. Please note that Sparsha Darshanam will only be there on weekdays and can be booked online. Have a beautiful Stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed the place. Visited May last week and June first week. Booked kolara buffer and Navegaon Core. Both days we got tiger sightings. First day Taras 2 Cubs and Second day Junabai 2 Cubs. All 4 of them are 1.5 years old and we saw them from less than 10ft.

Excellent, well managed tiger reserve. I'm a regular visitor and ice always found it well managed and helpful staff manning the vehicles. Of late visitors coming in late often want the game drivers to aggressively maneuver for a better photo. Hopefully this is a one off observation and game wardens discourage such practice. India has a great record with tigers and people should be more patient and respectful of tiger habitats

If you are keen to sight tigers then make sure you get a good guide and a naturalist. The jungle offers a lot of variety with respect to flora and fauna, birds and other animal species - to name a few rare ones - wild dogs, wild boars, barking deers, badgers, rare birds, etc. However the guide would not tell you anything and everything - their only objective is to get you a tiger sighting. In this process we loose the complete essence of the jungle and a general awareness of the wide variety of species, their calls and behaviours and their adaptations. We got a naturalist in our first Safari which proved out to be extremely awesome and satisfying as he gave us valuable information around the jungle which doesn't meet the eyes of us city dwellers. However, on the second safari, we had a very unpleaseful and distatsteful experience with our guide Mr. Mahendra Meshram. In the 4 hour Safari he parked the gypsy at just one place in the jungle for around 3 hours trying to get a tiger sighting. Despite our insistence to move around and explore, he outrightly chose to ignore our ask and stay at that one point until the end of the safari. The worst part we couldn't sight any tiger despite spending the whole of the safari at a single point. The other gypsies who went past us to tour the jungle area got tiger sightings as well as Cheetah, which are very rare - which made us feel even more bitter. Moral - Beware of such overconfident guides who give false promises of tiger sightings and in general ruin your complete safari. Even the forest department should take cognizance of this and embark on some efforts to educate and train such guides and try to give them a good perspective. Visited Gwalior Fort during my trip to IIITM Gwalior, and it was an amazing experience! The early morning uphill trek was absolutely beautiful — cool breeze, quiet surroundings, and stunning views as the city slowly woke up. The fort itself is majestic and full of history, with every wall telling a story. The sunrise from the top made the climb totally worth it. Highly recommend going early if you want to enjoy the peaceful vibe and avoid the crowds.

Gwalior Fort is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. The fort sits on a high hill, so the first thing you notice is the view. You can see the whole city spread out below, which makes the climb feel worth it right away. Inside the fort, the highlights are Man Singh Palace, with its colourful tiles, and the Sas Bahu Temples, which have detailed carvings you can stare at for a long time. The Teli ka Mandir is another impressive spot and gives you a good sense of how old and diverse the architecture is. The fort is large, so walking around takes time, but it’s peaceful. If you enjoy history, this place is full of stories. The sound and light show in the evening is a nice way to wrap up the visit. Overall, Gwalior Fort is a great mix of views, architecture and history. It’s worth visiting at least once, especially if you enjoy exploring old monuments.
