Great old age sculpture and budda statues and lots of monuments of previous ages.visit this place in rainy and winter season..best time to roam around.

This is a museum which has remains of the stupa at Nagarjuna Konda. You need to take a boat ride from AP side (right side) of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam which takes about 45 mins to reach this island. Ticket costs around 200 rupees per head. You get take some beautiful snaps from the boat.
Ravindra V — Google review
Try to take the morning ferry, as one will be able to spend more time on the island because the afternoon ferry reaches around 3:00 pm and they start boarding back at 4:15 pm as the evening starts early during winters. Restoration of exhibits in the museum is still under progress.

Mallela Thirtham Waterfall

Temporarily Closed
Nature & Parks
Waterfalls
Scenic waterfall located in dense forest & accessed by a moderate hike with 300+ steps.
One of the best waterfalls. It flows in all the seasons. The place is very beautiful. One should take around 400 steps to reach the waterfalls. It is safe for all age groups and genders to visit the place as it is maintained by Telangana tourism. There is 20rs ticket for the entrance and 50 rs tool for the car.
Naveen V — Google review
A lovely weekend destination, you have to climb down 400 stairs down to get a glimpse of this lovely waterfall. I went in the month of Feb and hence there was not much water, however I am pretty sure that this place will be a delight during the monsoons. Once you reach to the waterfalls, be very careful when you move around the rocks as they are slippery and have sharp edges as well. Ensure you keep your belongings properly and secure as the monkeys out there will leave no stone unturned to surprise you when you come back. There are two entry fees - one at the check gate towards the road and the other once you reach the point - 20 rupees at each point per person. Ensure you carry one or two bottles of drinking water for sure because you won’t find any all the way down and you are definitely going to need at least one while coming back - the climb back to the top is steep.
Jyoti D — Google review
If you reach there as early as possible, you will have good availability to take nice picture. The waterfall is not that big enough for everyone to enjoy at the same time and take the picture simultaneously. So better go early morning. Take bath, the ticket is very cheap. Do not throw your garbage over there. Saw people leaving their unused garments atthe spot and making is the good spot to a dirty one.The maintainance already started so hopefully they will clean everything nearby and me the pond infront of the waterfall swim worthy.currenty it seems like mud.
Dhananjay K — Google review
One of the best waterfalls you can enjoy in the Nallamala Forest area. The place is peaceful covered in a dense Forest. Hiking is needed. There are around 400 steps you'll need to go down to reach the waterfalls. It's crowded almost all the time. Please carry a Face mask and some hand sanitiser with you. Stay safe. Bathing in the waterfalls isn't actually allowed as there may be possible accidents, but People can be seen taking baths. It's a bit dangerous and the officials should do something about it.
Teja T — Google review
Roughly 185 kms from mainland Hyderabad, the place makes for a good 1 day trip. The pristine drive through the Amrabad tiger reserve makes for something straight out of the movies!!! What awaits at the end is a steep walk down a staircase, roughly 400 steps down into the canyon. While small, it makes for a beautiful nature getaway from the daily routine of city life. You can click quite a good snaps if you're early avoiding the crowd. But do be careful, the stones are slippery and there's monkeys and snakes too. Recommended during the monsoon months. The ticket costs 20 bucks per head, and you might also run into a "toll booth", be careful of the latter.l
Ryan P — Google review
Hidden gem within deep Nallamala forest and perfect weekend getaway, which is located at about 160 km from Hyderabad. Lush green forest, journey through picturesque hills, pristine waters, chirping birds and sound of gushing water makes the experience memorable and blissful
Kamalasan V — Google review
Nice place to get refreshed and can enjoy the waterfalls There is enough parking place for mostly 25 four wheeler vehicles and nearly 30+ two wheelers parking space. After crossing the parking are there will be a shop for snacks, water bottles, refreshments etc. For entry to go near waterfalls, entry ticket costs Rs.20 per head 1 main to follow there is "No Littering" "Don't throw plastic waste" There are nearly 350steps to go near these waterfalls
Mokkapati M — Google review
This is around 150 km away from Hyderabad and it takes 3-4 hours to reach waterfall. This place is amazing for trekking experience. If you go as a tourist, then you just can visit the main waterfall but if you want to hike the forest then it will be a thrilling trek. One has to climb 400 stairs to see the main waterfall. Washrooms are available and a small garden is also there to relax. Food shops are not there so one should carry it.

Built in a commanding defensive position, this hill fort was built by a local ruler in 1076.
i had gone to this fort with my buddies ,i didn't know anything about it . It turned out to be one of the adventures of my lifetime . wow, simply surreal . The trek ,the view points ,the vibes just amazing. There are many spots to take pics and the trek is not easy. it was all worth it in the end .As it's an experience for life .If you enjoy trekking and experiencing new things you can visit this place for sure . But carry plenty of electrolytes

Went on weekend during noon. You will have to enter via a gate and ticket price is Rs 10 for adult. It’s a beautiful place and the rock is mostly granite. It is super hot during summers. Time taken: should take around 45 mins to reach the top. Suggestions: 1. Please carry water bottle and something to eat since it’s a temple area and there are no stall once you enter the gate. 2. It might be slippery during monsoons since it’s all granite till the top There is lot of littering of plastic bottles at the top. Will advise visitors to carry your plastic bottles back and not dump it at the top.
Sanket W — Google review
Great view point, whole bhuvanagiri will be seen from the top. You will have to climb many steps and you will have to pass a huge rock (steps will be there) amazing experience, and after reaching the top point, there will be one more small entrance steps to the roof of the fort. While we were coming down it was raining and we had to come down very carefully. Must visit place if you like rock climbing , adventure.
Pranay N — Google review
Superb view from the top and an easy trek compared to other forts due to the stone steps and less steeper climb. But the tourism department needs to ensure that plastic and other waste items are collected and the place is kept clean. A few waste bins were kept but needs to be ensured that people use it.

If you're looking for an ideal spot to unwind and have a great time with friends near Hyderabad, Bhongir Fort should definitely be on your radar. This historic fort, perched atop a massive monolithic rock, offers a fantastic blend of history, adventure, and breathtaking views, all at an incredibly affordable price. Why Bhongir Fort is Perfect for Friends: * Adventure and Trekking: The primary draw of Bhongir Fort is the trek to its summit. The climb, while a good workout, is manageable for most fitness levels and provides a thrilling sense of accomplishment. It's the kind of activity that brings friends closer as you navigate the old steps and rocky paths together. The unique egg-shaped rock formation is fascinating, and there are even opportunities for rock climbing and rappelling for the more adventurous groups (though this typically requires pre-booking with a professional agency). * Stunning Panoramic Views: Once you reach the top, you're rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. It's an incredible spot for capturing photos with your friends, watching the sunrise or sunset, and simply taking in the vast expanse. There are also small ponds and ruins on the fort itself, adding to the picturesque scenery. * Historical Significance: For those interested in history, the fort offers a glimpse into the past. Built by the Western Chalukya ruler Tribhuvanamalla Vikramaditya VI in the 12th century, it has witnessed centuries of various dynasties. Exploring the remaining structures, gateways, and even a Hanuman temple on top, adds a layer of cultural enrichment to your outing. * Budget-Friendly Fun: The entrance fee is a mere INR 20 per person, making it an exceptionally budget-friendly outing. This low cost, coupled with the memorable experience it offers, makes Bhongir Fort an absolute steal. It's a testament to how some of the best experiences don't have to break the bank. * Proximity to Hyderabad: Located just about 50-60 km from Hyderabad, it's a convenient day trip. The drive itself is pleasant, making the journey part of the fun when you're with friends. Tips for Your Visit with Friends: * Wear Comfortable Shoes: The climb can be rocky and uneven in parts, so sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are a must. * Carry Water and Snacks: While there might be some vendors at the base, it's always advisable to carry your own water bottles and some light snacks, especially for the ascent. * Beware of Monkeys: Like many such historical sites, monkeys are present. Be mindful of your belongings and food. * Go Early or Late: To avoid the midday heat and enjoy the cooler weather, consider visiting in the early morning or late afternoon. The fort is generally open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. * Plan for 2-3 Hours: While the climb itself might not take excessively long, you'll want to spend time exploring the top, enjoying the views, and just relaxing with your friends. In conclusion, Bhongir Fort is a truly fantastic destination for a day trip with friends from Hyderabad. Its blend of historical intrigue, adventurous trekking, stunning vistas, and unbeatable value makes it a perfect choice for creating lasting memories without stretching your budget. It's an absolute must-visit!

Fort is not well maintained. Entry fee is Rs. 10/- per adult. They can increase the entry fee, but seriously need to take good care of the fort. The entire fort is built on plateau and very steep to climb. Overall, the remains are in a very dilapidated condition, so no major attraction on that front. But, if you want to enjoy a day testing your fitness, then you are at the right place. For trekkers, a must try.
Prafulla S — Google review
I visited during a weekend. Not crowded. A great place to visit for youngsters and people interested in trekking.

Recently, after visiting Yadagirigutta and After completing our darshan, we visited Bhongir Fort. The weather was extremely hot, and it was quite challenging to climb to the top of the fort. However, the effort was worth it because the view from the top was beautiful and offered a stunning panoramic sight of the surroundings. Overall, it’s a great place to visit for those who enjoy history and scenic views, but I recommend going early in the morning or during cooler weather to avoid the heat

Located approximately 38 km from the city center, Mount Opera Theme Park Hyderabad is a popular tourist attraction in Hyderabad. Positioned on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway, this theme park offers an array of entertainment and amenities for visitors of all ages. Its proximity to Ramoji Film City, just 4 km away, adds to its appeal.
I couldn't believe how much we got for the price. Whether you're planning a fun outing for friends and family or you're looking for a place where your kids can spend an exciting afternoon, Mount Opera will be perfect for you. I had all but given up on finding a great amusement park in Hyderabad, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed myself here. The water park and the rides were all great fun. I have to commend them for the amount of thought and effort that went into making sure the visitor's experience is the best it could be. You could spend hours here and not want to go home. The food was healthy. Even the banquet hall was really nice, it's great for any kind of function. If you invite people here for a gathering, there is no chance of your guests being bored. All in all, I had a fantastic experience and I look forward to going back to Mount Opera again.

Good amusement park! Easy to locate and Ample parking space. Lots of activities for both families and friends. Both dry and water rides available. The park is clean and well-maintained. Food is average, and could use more variety. A fantastic spot for locals to enjoy a fun day out!

Food is average . Rides are not working properly. Some of them do not start till 11 a.m. No indoor games now, all removed. Staff is behaving like they are obliging you. Only water games/pool is good but that also runs for a limited hour

Excellent place to chill out with family. Have seen the owners dine with kids to ensure quality of food offered. Kids will have a wonderful time especially with clean wave pool and other water games. There is no other place that offers so many water games, rides and play area at this budget. Elders will have a pleasant experience away from the city .The pool boys are always present in the water to ensure safety of the kids

Good water rides, but less maintenance, dry rides also there but in hot weather no one prefers the same. Food court there , veg buffet 250/- and Non Veg 275/-. Adult entry ticket 675/- kids 575/- The mirror house was good which is at the entrance on the right side.
Kishore G — Google review
Wave pool was good and rides are also fun, but changing room were too untidy, full of smell and no doors, very worst maintenace. Other than changing rooms all is good and we can enjoy with kids. And we have to book cabs up and down, it is too hard to get cabs booked after 6 pm. Ticket price is Rs. 500/- for adults including all rides, Rs. 400 for kids and Rs. 200/- for senior citizens. We havr to take seperate tickets for Go Karting and Boating.

Ramoji Film City is a renowned destination in India, attracting millions of visitors annually with its unique themes and beautiful settings. As the world's largest film studio, it offers tours, live shows, an on-site theme park, and adventure zone. Visitors can immerse themselves in Bollywood dreams through activities like film city tours, adventure sports, toy train rides, and exploring various gardens.
I visited Ramoji Film City, and it was an amazing experience! The place truly lives up to its reputation as one of the world’s largest film cities. From grand movie sets and beautiful gardens to entertaining live shows, every corner has something unique. The guided tour was well-organized and informative. You really get to see how movies are made behind the scenes. Food and facilities were decent, and the staff was friendly too. Highly recommend spending a full day here to explore everything properly.

Amazing place for movie maniac as a persona can actually visit the the seta where the movies were shot. Blockbusters like Bahubali and Chennai Express and many more were shot over there. The Eco tour has a bird & butterfly park. It even has multiple fine dine restaurant and street food kiosks. All in all a great place to spend with family and friends for the entire day
Prashant S — Google review
It's a place you must visit once. Good to go with family to enjoy the beautiful gardens, sceneries, fountains. Also experience the film making process. The management and system is so organised that you will not miss any places to visit. You will have a well spent day.

A lot of impressions and quite impressive. Friend tour guide and I have to say she deserves a five star. Like her humour but for me it was all about the intensions of this place. it is both monumental and emotional. Qudos to everyone who put the work in to keep it alive. Respect. Keep the good work
Oluremi A — Google review
The overall time we spent was justified for the price of the tickets. It is a well planned and maintained location. You'll definitely love it. Plus-Worthy cinematic experience, lots of different spots to explore, cute buses enroute you to different places, toilets and snacks at almost every stop. Minus-Includes a lots of walk and temperature changes from AC vented halls to again back to normal temperature outside. So, be prepared to deal with regular temperature shifts! Rest it's an awesome place to visit!! Family friendly.👍🤩
Mohit S — Google review
Ramoji Film City is a Good place to visit with so much to explore and enjoy. The Eureka zone, Baahubali set, Japanese Garden, Hawa Mahal, European Streets, and Evening Parks are some of the best attractions to experience. It’s perfect for a full-day outing with family and kids. Though outside food isn’t allowed, water bottles and snacks inside are reasonably priced. However we had to wait around 30 minutes for food after 2 PM at the Baahubali set, so the food service could be improved. Management can review about the pricing - it feels slightly high, especially since lunch isn’t included in the package.
Sreenivasulu G — Google review
Visiting Ramoji Film City with my friends was absolutely epic and fully justifies its fantastic reputation. They have 2 package option AC/ Non-AC. Only difference in AC package it has buffet lunch included, and non-ac doesn't have dinner option one must pay for their own food. It is an full day activity so plan accordingly. We hit all the highlights, and the energy we got from the sheer number of things to do made the whole day fly by—we give the experience a huge thumbs up! The core of the day was the Studio Tour, which was far more impressive than just seeing static sets. Seeing the intricate details on the iconic streets, the massive temple facades, and the beautiful Indian and Japanese Gardens made for incredible photo opportunities for our group. The undeniable highlight of this section was the Bahubali Set. Walking through the gigantic Mahishmati kingdom was surreal; we spent ages exploring the throne room, the massive bells, and the various props, totally losing ourselves in the grandeur of that fictional world. For the adrenaline junkies in our group, the side trip to Sahas Adventure Land was a must. Tackling the ATV track was a blast—it was the perfect way to burn off some energy and enjoy some real speed and dirt-kicking fun, moving from the fantasy sets to a real-life action sequence. We made sure to catch a Live Show, which was the perfect moment to sit down and be entertained. The vibrant choreography and the stunt work were fantastic, adding that extra layer of cinematic excitement. And since we were there during the festival, the Carnival atmosphere topped everything off! The colorful parades, extended timings, and general festive buzz added so much energy and color to the end of our trip. Finally, the Bird Park and Butterfly Park were surprisingly beautiful and provided a wonderful, peaceful contrast to the high-energy sets and adventure sports. It was a serene way to wrap up the sightseeing before heading home. A quick tip for groups: The park is huge, so divide your time wisely! Start with the sets and adventure, and don't forget comfortable shoes. Ramoji is definitely a trip worth taking with your best friends—it’s non-stop fun from the moment you step off the bus!
Akash K — Google review
Ramoji Film City is definitely a must-visit place in Hyderabad — it’s vast, beautifully designed, and offers a unique glimpse into the world of cinema. The guided tour is well-organized, and there are plenty of attractions, sets, and shows for all age groups. However, the entry fee is quite high, and some of the sets and attractions feel a bit outdated. While the overall experience is enjoyable and worth visiting at least once, it would be even better if the management could refresh the sites and reduce the ticket price to make it more affordable for everyone.

Wonderla Amusement Park in Hyderabad is a top destination for thrill-seekers and families alike. With a wide range of rides and attractions, it offers something for everyone. From high-thrill rides to water slides and family-friendly attractions, the park ensures an unlimited dose of fun and entertainment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options to satisfy their cravings.
Had an amazing time at Wonderla Hyderabad! I visited yesterday and absolutely loved the entire experience! The rides were super thrilling and well-maintained. From the high-adrenaline roller coasters to the fun water slides, everything was just perfect. The park was clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and safety measures were properly followed. We tried the Fast Track option and it saved a lot of waiting time. Totally worth it! Also, the wave pool and rain dance were highlights of the day. Highly recommend visiting with friends or family — it's a guaranteed fun-filled day! 🎢💦
Harini G — Google review
Wonderla Hyderabad is definitely a fun place to spend the day, but there are a few things visitors should keep in mind. First and most important – book your tickets online only. The offline counter charges almost double the price compared to online booking, which feels unfair. It would be much better if Wonderla considered keeping at least equal or similar prices for both online and offline tickets to make it easier for everyone. Another point is the food prices inside the park, which are very expensive. If the food costs were more reasonable, it would add to the overall experience. One good tip: if you plan your trip via TSRTC buses, you can get an additional 15% discount on your entry tickets, which is a nice saving. Overall, Wonderla is enjoyable, but booking online and planning your food options wisely will make your visit much better.
Rakshith V — Google review
The place is great to visit during the summer holidays it has many rides that can be played with family. The price is a little high but service is great. I would recomend to visit during Monday or Tuesday there will be less crowd on these days. Overall my visit was amazing.
Obaida K — Google review
Must visit for a wonderful experience! We visited Wonderla on July 30, 2025, and had an amazing time. The only disappointment was missing the Giant Wheel and Roller Coaster, which were under maintenance. Apart from those, we tried almost every ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. 👉 Tip: Visit on weekdays, as weekends are usually crowded and you might not get a chance to enjoy all the rides. ✨ Must-try rides/experiences: -> Mission Interstellar (absolutely the best!) -> Wonder Splash ->Crazy Cars ->Boomerang ->Bullet ->Wave Pools ->Lazy River (super fun with friends!) 😱 Most thrilling/scary rides: ->Equinox ->Twin Flip T-Rex 🍴 Food & Facilities: Food is quite expensive inside, and lockers are also costly at ₹400 each (with ₹50 refunded later). Changing rooms for men and women are separate and clean, which was good. A tip—don’t eat before the big rides; enjoy the thrill first, have food later, and then head to water rides. Overall, it was a memorable experience filled with fun and adventure. I’d rate it 5/5.
Jayanth C — Google review
Very good experience. Well maintained and organized. We went on public holiday. There are many rides. Waiting bit for elders is a bit high. For kids, waiting time on holidays is also not a issue but for elders it's very hard. Plan on week days and avoid holiday if you want to cover more rides. Book tickets online with unlimited buffet lunch. Lunch is good. Don't miss chiku 3D show and interstellar show; worth watching.
Girish K — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Wonderla Hyderabad! I’d definitely recommend getting the Fastrack ticket — it’s absolutely worth the extra ₹1000. We upgraded after reaching there, and it saved us from standing in long queues, especially since there were many school groups visiting that day. The rides are thrilling and give a real adrenaline rush, especially the high-intensity ones — some of them are truly mind-blowing! The giant wheel, however, is skippable if you’re short on time. A few tips: 1. Outside food isn’t allowed, and the food inside is on the expensive side. 2. Bring sportswear or comfortable quick-dry clothes for the water rides. 3. It’s best enjoyed with friends or cousins for maximum fun. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience — a perfect mix of thrill, laughter, and good memories! 🎢💦

Chowmahalla Palace

Castle
Chowmahalla Palace, also known as The Four Palaces, is a historical gem in Hyderabad that served as the official seat of the Asaf Jahi Dynasty. Built in the 18th century, this opulent palace boasts magnificent Persian-style architecture reminiscent of the Shah Palace in Tehran, Iran. Its lush grounds feature gardens, fountains, and smaller palace structures.
A Regal Step Back in Time, Just Minutes from Charminar Visited Chowmahalla Palace after exploring Charminar, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. It’s just a short walk from Charminar, and I highly recommend walking through the local market on the way—it's a great way to take in the city's vibrant culture. 🏰 Palace Grounds & Layout The palace complex is beautifully maintained and peaceful, offering a welcome break from the bustle of the nearby market. The grounds are spacious and include three main structures: The Main Darbar Hall, Two adjacent Mahals, and A vintage car and buggy collection at the far end. The Darbar Hall is especially breathtaking—well-preserved, elegant, and rich with history. It gives you a real sense of royal grandeur. The other two mahals, while still interesting, are not as large or impressive. Some portions of those buildings were closed during my visit. 🚶‍♂️ Experience & Recommendation The overall atmosphere is calm and serene, with manicured gardens and shaded pathways that make for a very enjoyable stroll. Compared to other smaller attractions nearby, Chowmahalla is absolutely worth prioritizing, especially if you're short on time. Highly recommended for anyone already visiting Charminar. The combination of historical architecture, royal elegance, and a peaceful setting makes this a must-visit landmark in Hyderabad.

A stunning piece of history! This palace is a must-visit for anyone interested in Hyderabad's rich heritage. The intricate architecture, beautifully maintained gardens, and exquisite marble work make it a treat to behold. The museum inside showcases an impressive collection of artifacts, including antique furniture and memorabilia from the Nizam's era. A truly regal experience that transports you back in time.
Saba A — Google review
A must visit place if you're in Hyderabad, The palace’s grandeur, intricate architecture, and beautifully preserved interiors offered a captivating glimpse into Hyderabad’s regal past. The magnificent Durbar Hall, elegant chandeliers, and vintage displays of the Nizam era added to its timeless charm. While the palace itself is exceptionally well-maintained, the surroundings outside could use better care — the streets and nearby areas appeared somewhat untidy. However, once inside, the serenity and elegance of the palace easily overshadowed that minor drawback. The palace grounds are expansive and offer a peaceful walk through courtyards, fountains, and finely designed halls. The attention to detail in the restoration and upkeep of the interiors is truly commendable. However, I did notice that the area surrounding the palace could use better maintenance. The streets and nearby surroundings felt a bit untidy and lacked the same level of care that the palace itself receives. This contrast was quite noticeable, especially when transitioning from the lively yet cluttered streets outside to the serene and majestic atmosphere inside the complex. Overall, Chowmahalla Palace is an absolute gem in the heart of Hyderabad. Despite the slightly unkempt surroundings, the experience within the palace more than makes up for it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves history, architecture, or simply wants to spend a day immersed in royal elegance. It’s a glimpse into a glorious past that still shines beautifully today.

Amazing place, if the entry was free I would come here every day to relax. The museum aspect itself was really intriguing and fun, it’s always cool to explore the history of the places you stay in,and this one is a must visit for anyone. However, the best part for me was the serenity and peace that I felt while being there, they are doing a great job of cleaning the place up and presenting it beautifully. My only complain is that I came while they’re doing some restoration and had scaffolding around which made the experience less pleasant but not too bad.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chowmahalla Palace, and it was truly a wonderful experience! The palace's stunning architecture, rich history, and beautifully landscaped gardens left me in awe. As I walked through the complex, I felt like I was transported back in time to an era of grandeur and opulence. The intricate carvings, ornate domes, and majestic courtyards were breathtaking. It was fascinating to learn about the Nizam's legacy and the palace's significance in Hyderabad's cultural heritage. A must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, and culture!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit Jewel of Hyderabad! Just wow! Chowmahalla Palace is easily one of the best places to visit in Hyderabad. 🤩 The palace itself is incredibly beautiful, and the architecture is just mind-blowing. You can feel the history in every corner.🔥 The King's Throne area is simply out of this world! ✨ I was left wondering how someone could build something so impressive and truly majestic. It’s breathtaking!🥰 But for me, the best part was the car museum! 🚗 It's an absolute heaven for any car enthusiast. They have the one and only 1912 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, known as the "Throne Car."👑 Seeing it in person was unreal! They also have other classic cars from Ford and others,🏎️ all over 100 years old. It's like stepping back in time. And there's more! The museum also has an amazing collection of art, along with a display of historical war material. 🗡️🤯 Seeing 100-year-old swords and guns was so fascinating. This place truly has something for everyone. I can't recommend it enough!💯 A definite must-go place in Hyderabad for sure. Don't miss it! 👑

Very beautiful architecture and intricate interiors form a visual treat. The entry price was 150/- for one person for us. The embellishments and collection of the king’s artifacts are all beautiful to look at. We had a nice relaxing walk through the gardens. We spent about 1hour there. There is a canteen inside where you can buy some snacks.

This iconic landmark stands right in the heart of the old city, and seeing it up close feels like stepping back into history. Climbing up inside (if allowed during your visit) gives a beautiful view of the lively Laad Bazaar and the surrounding old city lanes. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere during the evening when the monument lights up beautifully, making it perfect for photography. The Charminar is an unmissable, magnificent piece of Indo-Islamic architecture and the enduring symbol of Hyderabad. Its four towering minarets are breathtaking, especially when illuminated at night. It's a dual experience: appreciating the historic beauty of the monument itself (climb to the top for a view!) while simultaneously navigating the intense, vibrant chaos of the surrounding Old City markets (like Laad Bazaar). Visit early in the morning for a quieter look at the monument, or brace yourself for crowds and intense energy if you go during peak hours or evening when the atmosphere is electric. Be prepared for heavy crowds and be mindful of your surroundings in the busy bazaars.

The Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is a treasure trove of art and artifacts collected by the Salar Jung family from around the world. It houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artifacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from various civilizations. The museum offers visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage and history of different regions through its diverse exhibits.
A museum beyond imagination. So many varieties of displays and very well maintained. It has more than 40 galleries and takes around 3-4 hours if one visits all the galleries and devotes reasonable time. I liked the glassware galleries most. Though there are restaurants inside the main building, they offer limited variety of food. So one should plan the visit keeping in view his/ her lunch timings. There are one or two restaurants on the backside of the premises of the museum as well. A must visit place in Hyderabad.
Anil B — Google review
The Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is one of India’s most remarkable cultural treasures — a vast repository of art, history, and heritage collected from across the world. Situated on the banks of the Musi River near Charminar, it stands as one of the largest one-man collections globally, amassed by Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung III. The museum houses over a million artifacts spanning centuries and continents — from intricately carved ivory pieces, Persian carpets, and Mughal miniatures to European paintings, Japanese porcelains, and ancient sculptures. Every gallery feels like stepping into a different era and culture. The collection is so extensive that even a full day isn’t enough to explore it completely. Among the highlights are The Veiled Rebecca, an exquisite marble sculpture by Italian artist Giovanni Maria Benzoni, and the famous Musical Clock, whose miniature mechanical figures delight visitors every hour. The arms and weapons gallery, adorned with ornate swords and daggers from various dynasties, also captures the imagination of history enthusiasts. What makes the Salar Jung Museum truly fascinating is the diversity of its exhibits — it isn’t just an Indian museum but a global one. From Egyptian artifacts to European furniture and Chinese ceramics, it reflects the Nawab’s refined taste and curiosity about the world. The museum is well-organized, though its size can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors. The staff and signage make navigation easy, and photography is permitted in most areas. The museum café and souvenir shop offer nice breaks between long explorations. Overall, Salar Jung Museum is a must-visit for anyone in Hyderabad — not just for its grandeur, but for the incredible stories each artifact holds. It’s a place where art, history, and culture meet, offering a timeless journey through civilizations under one roof.

My visit to Salar Jung Museum was an amazing and enriching experience. This museum is truly one of the finest in India, with an incredible collection that reflects art, culture, and history from all around the world. From ancient sculptures and royal artifacts to European paintings, Persian carpets, rare clocks, and beautiful handcrafted items, every gallery has something unique and fascinating to offer. The famous Veiled Rebecca and the double-headed statue are absolute highlights and must-see masterpieces. The clock gallery is also very popular, especially during the hourly chime when visitors gather to watch the antique clock in action. The museum is huge, and it’s easy to spend several hours exploring without even realizing how time passes. The management has maintained the museum very well—clean surroundings, organized galleries, and clear signboards make it easy to navigate. The staff is polite, helpful, and ensures that visitors have a smooth experience. I also appreciate the security and the effort put into preserving such valuable collections. It can get crowded on weekends, so visiting on a weekday is ideal if you want a quieter experience. Overall, Salar Jung Museum is a must-visit place in Hyderabad for history lovers, students, art enthusiasts, and tourists. A truly enriching and memorable visit!

Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad – A Priceless Treasure of Art, History, and Knowledge 🏛️ I recently visited the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad, and it was truly an amazing and enriching experience! Stepping inside feels like traveling through time — every corner reflects the glory of art, culture, and history. The Salar Jung Museum is one of the largest national museums in India and among the biggest in Asia. It was established based on the priceless personal collection of Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, Salar Jung III, who devoted his entire life to gathering rare artworks, antiques, weapons, furniture, clocks, paintings, and sculptures from across the world — including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and India. His vast private collection was later preserved by the Government of India, and the museum was officially opened to the public on December 16, 1951. Walking through the museum, one can witness a breathtaking blend of history and creativity. The famous Veiled Rebecca marble sculpture, the fascinating clock gallery, the impressive arms and armor collection, rare manuscripts, and exquisite wooden furniture are among the many highlights. Each gallery tells its own unique story and offers something new to learn. The entire complex is clean, well-maintained, and organized. The information boards and guides make the experience even more meaningful by helping visitors understand the history behind every artifact. Overall, the Salar Jung Museum is not just a collection of objects — it’s a living treasure of art, culture, and knowledge. Anyone visiting Hyderabad should definitely explore this magnificent museum — it enriches both the eyes and the soul. 🎨✨

What an absolutely massive place! I visited on a Sunday, and while it was definitely buzzing with people, the Salar Jung Museum is just unmissable. Seriously, the collection is mind-blowing—it feels like stepping into a time machine. The absolute star of the show for me was the Musical Clock! Make sure you catch its performance; it’s so much fun to watch. And that incredible Veiled Rebecca sculpture is breathtaking in person. Just wear comfy shoes and be prepared to get lost in all the history for a few hours. Highly recommend!
Mayur G — Google review
Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is an extraordinary destination for art and history enthusiasts. It houses one of the largest one-man collections in the world, featuring a diverse range of artifacts including sculptures, paintings, textiles, ceramics, weapons, and rare manuscripts from different parts of the globe. Each section reflects meticulous curation and provides visitors with a glimpse into the cultural and artistic heritage of various eras. The museum’s layout is generally well-structured, allowing a smooth flow from one gallery to another, and the exhibits are thoughtfully displayed to highlight their historical significance. The staff are friendly, approachable, and ready to provide information, enhancing the overall experience. Despite these positives, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some galleries tend to get overcrowded, especially during weekends and holidays, making it challenging to view the exhibits comfortably. Signage and information boards could be more detailed and easier to read. Additionally, a few sections require better lighting to fully appreciate the intricacies of certain artifacts. Overall, Salar Jung Museum is a remarkable place to spend a day immersed in art, history, and culture. With a few minor improvements, it could easily achieve a perfect rating. It is highly recommended for both locals and tourists

Birla Mandir is an impressive Hindu temple situated on a hilltop, constructed with white marble and adorned with towers, shrines, and intricate interior carvings. Nearby, visitors can also explore the Birla Science Center, which includes a planetarium offering a 3D theatre experience and an observatory. The center also features a science museum with interactive exhibits focused on physics, optical illusions, environmental studies, and more – making it an engaging destination for science enthusiasts of all ages.
The famous Birla temple is almost at the hilltop but has good access upto the top thru narrow motor-able road. The marble temple is really beautiful with very nice statues of Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi. The temple has many floors and each floor gives a good view of the surroundings. One can set a beautiful view of the Hussain Sagar lake, and the newly constructed secretariat building. A beautiful view of the entire city on a clear day! This place is worth visiting, Free entry! it has a lift and free parking which is a boon!

It’s crazy how they completely built it with marble. It looks stunning. Due to the marble, it feels colder inside and when you are roaming around. The view from there is also nice as you can see the whole Hyderabad city. You can also see the Buddha statue, Sagar Lake, etc. If you like architecture, definitely worth visiting
Pradumna S — Google review
Beautiful temple with peaceful atmosphere and great city view! We visited Birla Mandir on a Saturday — it wasn’t very crowded, and we could enjoy the full view of Hyderabad from the top. The temple is truly beautiful and peaceful. We took an auto from the main road below; it cost ₹80, but the driver dropped us only near the gate, not up to the parking area. Phone keeping, footwear keeping, and bag keeping are all free, but when collecting our footwear, the person there asked for some money. Some renovation work was going on during our visit. One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the toilets — much better than most public places in India! Photography and cameras are not allowed inside the temple. To reach the gate, you have to walk up a small road lined with shops from the main road below — it’s only about 200 to 250 meters, so it’s an easy walk even if you don’t have a vehicle. Overall, a must-visit place in Hyderabad for peace, spirituality, and a stunning city view.

Birla Mandir is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in Hyderabad. Built with pure white marble, the temple looks stunning especially during sunset. The view of the city and Hussain Sagar Lake from the top is just breathtaking. The atmosphere is calm and spiritual, making it a perfect place to sit quietly and relax. It’s very clean and well maintained — definitely a must-visit spot in Hyderabad!

The Birla Temple is honestly one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I’ve visited in Hyderabad. Built on a small hill, the view from the top is absolutely stunning — you can see the city spread out below and the calm waters of Hussain Sagar in the distance. The white marble structure looks elegant and gives off a very serene, spiritual vibe even before you step inside. Climbing up the steps is quite easy and the pathway is clean and well maintained. Once you reach the main temple area, the intricate carvings and the peaceful atmosphere make it worth the effort. What I really liked is that even though it’s a popular tourist spot, it still feels calm and respectful inside. Photography isn’t allowed in the temple premises, which actually helps keep the place peaceful. If you go during the evening, the lighting around the temple makes it look even more magical. There are no big food stalls inside, but there are some near the base, so carrying a water bottle is a good idea. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot — whether you’re religious or just want a quiet, scenic place to spend some time.

There's more to the Birla Temple in Hyderabad. The view at the top of the temple facing the Hussain Sagar Lake and the Secretariat building is mesmerizing and beautiful during evening time. Since cellphones aren't allowed inside temple, we can't capture most of it. There's five smaller mandirs of different gods inside the temple like Hanuman ji, Shiv ji and others. The whole temple is carved out beside a rocky mountain completely made of white marble. It's a must visit when visiting Hyderabad.

The Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is a monolithic structure located on an island in the middle of Hussain Sagar Lake. Accessible by boat, it is a prominent attraction in the heart of Hyderabad. The area surrounding the lake, known as Necklace Road, offers a vibrant mix of restaurants, recreational facilities, and parks. The statue itself is made entirely of white granite and stands as one of the most iconic monuments in the city.
The Buddha Statue at Tank Bund in Hyderabad is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a symbol of peace and harmony. Standing tall on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of Hussain Sagar Lake, this majestic monolithic statue of Lord Buddha attracts thousands of visitors every year. The location of the statue adds to its beauty — surrounded by the tranquil waters of the lake and the glittering lights of the city skyline, it offers a breathtaking view, especially during sunset. I recently visited the Buddha Statue in Hyderabad, and it was a truly memorable experience. The visit begins with a pleasant walk through Lumbini Park, which is clean, well-maintained, and offers a lovely view of Hussain Sagar Lake. From there, we took a short and scenic boat ride to reach the statue, located on a small island in the middle of the lake. The boat ride was relaxing, with cool breeze and beautiful views of the city skyline. As we got closer, the Buddha Statue looked majestic and peaceful, especially during sunset when the golden light reflects off the water. It’s an ideal spot for photography and quiet reflection. If you visit in the evening, don’t miss the laser show at Lumbini Park! It’s colorful, lively, and beautifully synchronized with music — a fun way to end the visit. The combination of the lake view, the illuminated statue, and the laser show makes for a magical evening experience. Overall, it’s a must-visit place in Hyderabad — a perfect blend of nature, culture, and relaxation. For boating we have charges depends on the boats you choose like speed boat or normal passenger boat

The Buddha Statue at Hussain Sagar is honestly one of the most peaceful spots in Hyderabad. The moment you see it standing tall in the middle of the lake, it gives you this calm feeling that’s hard to describe. The short boat ride to the statue is actually quite fun — you get a nice breeze, great views of the city skyline, and that little excitement as you get closer. Once you reach, the statue looks even more impressive up close. It’s massive, beautifully sculpted, and the whole place has a quiet, soothing vibe despite being right in the middle of the city. The area around it is clean and well maintained, and you can easily walk around to take pictures or just sit and relax for a bit. I’d definitely recommend going in the evening when the lights come on — the statue glows over the water and it looks absolutely stunning. It can get a little crowded on weekends, so weekdays or early mornings are better if you prefer it peaceful. There are small stalls nearby for snacks and drinks. Overall, a lovely place to unwind and a must-visit if you’re exploring Hyderabad.

Beautiful place to take family and loved ones, it was constructed in 1992, it is in an artificial island in waters of Hussain Sagar lake. To visit Buddha Statue one need to go Lumbini Park by taking a 20 Rs ticket and than again take ticket for Buddha statue ranging from 100 Rs to 500 Ra depending on the boat, speed boat costs more, normal boat that has capacity of 60 to 100 people. Scenery of roads around Hussain Sagar embankment is beautiful at night. It is Open till 8PM. Newly constructed Secretariat Building, Ambedkar statue, Birla temple looks amazing.

It's a truly iconic and mesmerising attraction in hyderabad. It's in the middle of Hussain Sagar Lake. You can enjoy the pleasent boat ride or you can go in launch. I visited in sunset timings, and enjoyed the beauty of sunset in Lake and infront of statue. Price is little bit more for boat ticket and food inside.

One of the best things you can do in Hyderabad is visit this statue. You can take a ferry from the boating point they have different types of boats. The best time to visit is during the night because the whole statue is lit up you can also get a really nice view of the city. Just keep in mind the boats are very crowded, and the water can be smelly and filthy.

The Buddha Statue at Hussain Sagar is a peaceful and iconic landmark of Hyderabad. The boat ride to the statue is relaxing and offers a lovely view of the lake and city skyline. Standing tall in the middle of the water, the statue creates a calm and serene atmosphere. It’s a great spot for photography, evening outings, and enjoying the cool breeze. A must-visit for anyone exploring the city’s major attractions.

Hussain Sagar Lake, located in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, is a popular tourist destination. This man-made lake was constructed in 1562 to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city. It is surrounded by Lumbini Park, Indira Park, and Sanjeeviah Park. The centerpiece of the lake is a large Buddha statue situated on a rock.
Most aesthetic and beautiful place in Hyderabad. Perfect for Aqua Babies! 💙 beautiful sigh view at sunrise sunset and evening. You can enjoy the view whole day it has so many parks surrounded and cafes with water view. Parks and adventures. Lumbini park which has boat rides. You can take ride to buddha statue and see good view 360 degree. There is a park near by where theme wise fares are set up like summer fare, plants fare and more.

Excellent artificial-lake. Needs a bit cleaning. Buddha statue is magnificent!! Lake-road is well maintained and an asset for evening walks/Photography.

It's a nice place, has got good aesthetics and the boat ride to buddha is a sweet experience but the smell ruins the whole experience. The water smells real bad, hoping the government comes up with ways to deal with it.

Hussain Sagar Lake offers a peaceful boating experience with fewer crowds, making it ideal for a relaxing day. However, visitors should be aware that parts of the lake contain waste, so caution is advised. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture stunning photos in front of the Buddha statue—it's a must-see spot for any visitor!

Hussain Sagar Lake is one of the most beautiful and iconic places to visit in Hyderabad. The view of the lake, especially with the Buddha statue in the center, is truly amazing — perfect for evening visits and photos. I also tried speed boating here, and it was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend the 4-person boat — it costs around ₹500 and is totally worth it. You can enjoy the ride with friends or family. There’s also a 2-person speed boat, but the 4-person one feels more fun and comfortable. The cool breeze, the lake view, and the overall vibe make it a great spot for relaxation and adventure. Definitely a must-visit place in Hyderabad!

Had a great time with my family . Walked along the border of the lake . Should visit for good conversation with family or friends . A place for photogenic people as the scenery is beautiful . Information abt the past of the lake was given with statues of freedom fighters on the other side of the lake . Must visit for piece of mind and knowledge .

Hyderabad’s perfect evening spot, the stretch along Hussain Sagar from the Ambedkar statue to the Secretariat feels like the city’s own Marine Drive. Sunset views from Tank Bund Road, with the Buddha statue reflecting on the lake, are simply stunning.

Excellent Family Resort! We had a wonderful stay! This resort is perfect for kids — there are so many fun activities and indoor games to keep them entertained. The pool area is nice, clean, and well-maintained, and the buffet offered a great variety of tasty food for everyone. It’s truly a great family spot in a convenient location. Great food but the rooms are not up to the mark. We went via a corporate booking for 40-50 people and In some rooms there was no hot water or the room was smelly. The waterfall outside the room was not clean. The hospitality and service was really good. Loved all the dishes served during the lunch, dinner and high tea. Did not experience the breakfast and other facilities other than the conference room
Pradeep K — Google review
Fantastic place for team outing, family outing with big playgrounds, indoor games and big swimming pool with rain dance facility. Ambience was great with tasty food spread. One suggestion for improvement. During lunch only one plate is allowed to be used. With such a large buffet spread the plate becomes unusable after one or two servings. But the staff obliged to give another fresh plate when the manager intervened after initially rejecting to give one. Overall good place to spend a day and have fun.

We visited Leonia Holistic Destination for a day outing and were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival. The overall experience was decent, with a mix of indoor and outdoor games to keep us engaged. Kids who enjoy swimming will particularly love the pool facilities. Our package did not include a buffet, but we opted for lunch at the à la carte restaurant, which turned out to be quite satisfying.

Leonia Holistic Destination is a special place with beautiful nature and rock formations. It invites people from all over to stay in its luxurious villas and hotels, offering great service and lots of amenities. We went there for a company party, but we thought that conference hall and other surroundings need to be maintained well and lifts are also not good. Swimming pool is well maintained and dj is also good. It has both indoor and outdoor games are present. Indoor games space is very less near swimming pool.

Golconda Fort

Fortress

Golconda Fort, once the capital of a flourishing kingdom from the 14th to 16th century, boasts 87 semi-circular bastions. While Hyderabad is known for iconic attractions like Charminar and Chowmahalla and Falaknuma Palaces, there are also hidden gems to explore. The city offers diverse experiences beyond its famous museums and delicious Hyderabadi biryani.
The fort is marvelous, though effect of time is clearly visible. You should try to visit this fort early in the morning, preferably in pleasant season. The fort gives a great view of the Hyderabad city and nearby landscape is beautiful especially in monsoons. Tickets are available at main entrance and guide service is available at a cost of Rs. 1,000. In order to understand the history, importance and architecture of the fort, it is advisable to hire a guide. The tour of the fort takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Anil B — Google review
I visited Golconda Fort , and it was a really good experience! It’s definitely one of the best historical places to visit in Hyderabad. The entry ticket costs just ₹25 per person, and there was no waiting time at all, which was great. The fort is huge, and as you climb up, you’ll come across Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas — both are beautiful spots that give you a glimpse into the royal architecture of the past. There’s also a small temple inside the fort, which adds a peaceful touch amidst the grand structure , there are some old canon as well there. You’re allowed to carry snacks inside, but not full food items. The climb to the top is a bit tiring, but totally worth it. Once you reach the top, the view is absolutely amazing — you can see a wide stretch of Hyderabad city from there. It’s truly breathtaking and perfect for photos! I also heard that there’s a secret tunnel or cave that connects Golconda Fort to Charminar, but I couldn’t find where it is. Maybe it’s hidden or closed off now, but it’s quite fascinating to think about how they built such things back then. Overall, it’s a really good place to visit if you’re in Hyderabad — a mix of history, architecture, and great views!

Absolutely amazing historical site! Golconda Fort is a must-visit for anyone in Hyderabad. The architecture is stunning and the fort's acoustic system is truly remarkable - you can hear sounds from one end to the other. The sunset views from the top are breathtaking. In the top one Hindu temple is also there. The light and sound show in the evening brings the fort's rich history to life. For that you have to buy separate ticket. It cost more. Well-maintained and full of fascinating stories from the past. Highly recommend visiting early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. Well maintained. A perfect blend of history, architecture, and panoramic views!
Nagendra H — Google review
Golconda Fort is one of the most fascinating historical sites I’ve ever visited! Located just outside Hyderabad, this majestic fort stands as a proud reminder of the region’s rich past. From the moment you step in, you’re surrounded by centuries of history, incredible architecture, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city. The fort is massive, so it’s best to wear comfortable shoes and carry some water. As you climb to the top, you’ll find ancient gateways, royal chambers, secret passages, and beautifully carved stonework. The acoustic system of the fort is particularly amazing — you can clap at the entrance and hear the sound echo at the top of the fort, which shows the brilliant engineering of those times. The evening light and sound show is absolutely worth attending. It narrates the history of Golconda in a very engaging way, with lights dancing on the walls of the fort and a powerful voiceover that makes the story come alive. Try to reach early so you can explore before sunset and then enjoy the show afterward. Overall, Golconda Fort is a must-visit for history lovers, photographers, and anyone visiting Hyderabad. It’s clean, well-maintained, and truly awe-inspiring. Pro tip: Please make sure to book your tickets in advance — especially on weekends or holidays — as there can be quite a bit of rush at times. It’ll save you time and make your visit smoother.
SHAHANAS S — Google review
Golconda Fort is highly praised as a must-visit historical site in Hyderabad, notable for its impressive architecture, rich history, and panoramic city views. Visitors often highlight the fascinating history, impressive craftsmanship, and the spectacular evening light and sound show. However, be prepared for a lot of walking, and some reviews note that it can be a spooky or eerie place in certain areas. Positive aspects Historical and architectural significance: The fort is lauded for its fascinating history and impressive architecture, which many visitors find difficult to imagine being built in ancient times. Spectacular views: It offers a vantage view of the city of Hyderabad, making it a great spot for photography and sightseeing. Light and sound show: The evening light and sound show is a highly recommended experience. Potential for film shoots: Some visitors note that parts of the fort would be suitable for shooting films. Diamond trade history: Historically, the area was famous as the market city for diamond trade, a fact that has given the name "Golconda" a generic meaning associated with great wealth. Potential drawbacks and tips Requires significant walking: The fort is a very large area, and exploring it adequately can take a full day. The walk to the top is steep. Spooky atmosphere: Some areas, like a dark, alley-like area where bats were heard, are described as spooky, although this can also add to the eerie charm for some. Bring essentials: It's recommended to carry a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat or cap, and comfortable walking shoes. Check timings: The fort is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Fantastic Fort Visit! Went on a weekend and found the crowds manageable. The climb is easy, and the panoramic views from the top are incredibly photogenic. Highly recommend the hassle-free online ticket booking on the spot. If you want to dive deep into the history, a government guide is a must.
Mayur G — Google review
I got the chance to visit on a Saturday while in town for work and had a great time. The grounds are large and sprawling, and we easily spent about 2-3 hours exploring here. We arrived just before 11AM, and was not too crowded despite being a popular destination amongst tourists and locals alike. It definitely started ramping up as we were leaving, so it seems like morning hours may be the most peaceful. We chose not to hire one of the tour guides near the entrance and just explored on our own. I found the passageways and arches to be simultaneously maze-like and stunning. Although many parts of the fortress were in disrepair, it was exciting to imagine what daily life was like within these walls. While wandering around, I could visualize the ghosts of past millennia as their footsteps echoed through the magnificent stone walls and structures. After climbing to the top of the fort, we enjoyed the panoramic views of the city while dwelling in the strong, cool breeze, wicking away our sweat from the sunny day. People were genuinely curious to chat and take pictures together, and overall it was a very welcoming experience.

The fort is massive, with strong stone walls, ramparts, and well-preserved ruins. The layout and design are considered very impressive and photogenic. Chilkur Balaji Temple, also known as the “Visa Balaji Temple,” is one of the most famous and spiritually significant temples near Hyderabad. Located about 25 km from the city, on the banks of Osman Sagar Lake, this temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. It is unique because it operates without a hundi (donation box) and has no VIP privileges, emphasizing equality among all devotees. The temple is well known for fulfilling the wishes of devotees, especially those seeking visas for overseas travel—hence the name “Visa Balaji.” People from across the country visit this temple with faith and devotion. The tradition of taking 11 pradakshinas (circumambulations) while making a wish, and 108 pradakshinas once the wish is fulfilled, adds a deeply personal touch to the temple experience. The temple’s surroundings are peaceful, surrounded by greenery, making it an ideal place for prayer and meditation. Despite the crowds, especially on weekends and Thursdays, the atmosphere remains well-organized and spiritual. The chanting of “Govinda” echoes throughout the temple, filling the air with divine energy. One of the most admirable aspects of Chilkur Balaji Temple is its simplicity—there are no commercial activities inside, and everything revolves purely around devotion. The priests are humble and guide devotees with genuine care. Visiting this temple gives a sense of positivity, hope, and faith. Whether or not one’s wishes come true immediately, the peace and confidence gained here make every visit spiritually fulfilling and memorable.

The Visa Balaji Temple - A Place of Unwavering Faith and True Simplicity The Chilkur Balaji Temple, famously known as the 'Visa Balaji Temple,' is an experience unlike any other. No Hundi, No Donations , This is the most remarkable aspect. There are absolutely no collections, no VIP lines, and no special privilege , The tradition of performing 11 'pradakshinas' (circumambulations) with a specific wish, and returning to perform 108 pradakshinas upon its fulfillment, is powerful. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere is incredibly serene and focused on devotion. The chanting and the environment are purifying. Go early in the morning to avoid the peak crowds and heat, and ensure you understand the procedure before starting your pradakshinas! Highly recommended for anyone seeking mental peace and spiritual strength.

The place is really good and darshanam is quite easy without much waiting. However, the people outside selling pooja items like coconuts and flowers are charging too much, and there are many fake beggars who keep demanding money, which feels uncomfortable. Apart from that, the temple and its surroundings are peaceful, clean, and spiritually refreshing. The atmosphere inside gives a genuine devotional vibe and it’s a nice place to visit with family or friends for a calm and positive experience.

I want to share you my experience of that how we got scammed . . After parking the bike , a man approached us and showed the directions to darshan . He picked us and went to a shop where the shop contains tulasi mala and coconuts . They told to buy them , we thought of 100 or 150 rupees for 2 coconuts and one tulasimala , shopkeeper told us the cost is 380 rupees . We conveyed of not buying them , then they took out helmets and warned us to buy otherwise we won't letgo from here . And as last option we Buyed that of spending 380 rupees on that. . Beware of that scams , the shopkeeper who scammed us , we took a video and photo of them from long distance. . I attached photos and videos in this review of them , the woman in redcolour saree sitting far is the one who scammed us . . And last we enquired the cost of same things that we spent 380 . And the actual cost of it is 120 rupees . Beware of that scams. . Thank you

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Peaceful Darshan at Wargal Temple, but Parking & Safety Need Improvement Hi all! I recently visited Sri Vidya Saraswathi Shani Temples, Wargal along with my father, mother, younger sister, and our lovely pet dog Sweety (Indian Pomeranian). This visit was part of our trip to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swami Temple - Vemulawada, and we made a stop at Wargal temple on the way. 🙏 Darshan Experience: The darshan (దర్శనం) was very peaceful and spiritually fulfilling. The temple's architecture is beautiful, and its elevated structure gives it a divine presence. The steps leading up are quite steep, but the climb feels worth it once you reach the sanctum. 🌳 Parking Concerns: However, I did face a minor issue with the parking area. Some security personnel were allowing vehicles to go closer to the temple, while others were not — which felt a bit inconsistent. I had to park down the hill, where there was no proper shed or tree cover. This becomes a problem especially when you have pets or elderly people in the car. I request the temple management to consider planting trees — not just for vehicles but for devotees to rest and eat, as many families bring homemade food and prefer sitting under shade (a very Indian tradition!). 🕉️ Religious Observations: One more concern — I’ve noticed recently (including at this temple), that priests are not placing the Shatagopuram on devotees' heads unless money is offered. This is not in alignment with Sanatana Dharma (సనాతన ధర్మం) and must be addressed. Spiritual blessings should never be conditional. 🐾 Special note: I really appreciate that we could bring our pet along, and I hope more religious places become pet-aware and inclusive. 🌸 Lotus Pond Concern: They also have a beautiful lotus pond, but sadly, it’s maintained in a very careless way. The fencing is broken on one side, which is a serious safety hazard — especially for children, elderly, or even animals. If someone slips due to parental negligence or poor maintenance, it could lead to a tragic accident. I strongly urge the temple authorities to fix the fence and add warning signs immediately. ✅ Overall: A divine temple with serene energy, but needs serious attention in terms of parking, safety, and religious discipline. With a few improvements, this can become one of the most ideal temples for family visits.

The architecture of the Padmanabha Swamy Temple is remarkable, showcasing a beautiful blend of ancient design and meticulous craftsmanship. The management is very good, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for visitors. The temple is unique and holds significant historical importance. Inside the temple, there is a small cave where the murti is placed, creating a spiritually uplifting sight. The eyes of the murti appear lifelike, enhancing the spiritual experience. The peace and positive energy of the temple are incredibly calming, making it an ideal place for anyone dealing with anxiety. It felt as if my negative energy was leaving my mind and body, offering a sense of renewal.

Sri Anantha Padmanaba Swamy temple is located on Ananthagiri hills of Vikarabad. Its around 80km from Hyderabad, very pleasant. There entry to a small cave is narrow, where the idol is worshipped. According tohistory, the temple was built by Rishi Markandeya in Dwapara Yuga, and it is believed that Anantha Padmanabha meditated for 400 years to worship Lord Vishnu. Devotees can enter the cave to worship Lord Vishnu between 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Very good experience. Plenty of parking for 4 wheelers.

We visited the temple early in the morning, but the priest didn't arrive until 9 a.m. After parking our car, we completed our darshan and then descended the steps to see the temple's koneru and ancient trees. We also saw a film crew shooting in the forest below. Since the area lacks proper maintenance and good restaurants, it's best to either bring your own food or find a meal in a nearby town.

Beautiful temple to visit. Away from all the noises of the city. Shaligram deity of Sri Ananth Padmanabh Swami inside a cave-like room. It is Swayambhu deity of the Lord. The temple has stairs to the origin of Muchkund river (now called Musi). This is the place where demon Kalyavan was burnt by the fire from Muchkund's eyes when Kalyavan awoke him by hitting thinking he is Krishna.

Beautiful and peaceful spot near Hyderabad with great views and calm vibe. 20₹ bike parking fee is collected by a police staff with a receipt. No food or water available on-site, you’ll need to go to Vikarabad town for that. Also no security staff around, which can be a concern for some visitors. Best to visit early morning and carry your own water and snacks.

1. It is an average height hill located,80 km away from Hyderabad. 2. Watch'tower located at the end of the hill with a valley view. 3. The best view of the valley comes in the rainy season. 4. Nature lovers always prefer such types of locations. 5. A group of friends always enjoy this place a lot.

It's a colonial period church constructed in 1924. It has impressive gothic style architecture. As church is popular it gets crowded, crowd management can be improved a lot.

Amazing to visit this cathedral, stunned to see such structural, historical place. A must visit place, loved the architecture, clean & well maintained place. There is a big ground beside to the cathedral and the most mesmerizing is inside the cathedral. Best time to visit is weekdays. As weekends might be a bit crowded.

Spectacular architecture and view. No doubt why so many people would love to travel here for a weekend trip. Nice and peaceful with proper covid precautions. No photography inside church, however, I could manage one before I was told. You could shop from the very little available stalls and lemon soda is the only food/beverage you could get within the premise. Loved the place!!

This hilltop fortress dating from the 12th century features archways & decorative stone work.
This fort is really beautiful. It can look more beautiful if the government takes interest in maintaining it.the masjid on the peak can be reopened with some precautions and railings.medak fort has the capability to earn a lot of tourism money . Only of course if the government had brains.
Sahal A — Google review
Not a lot of fort. It is small compared to other forts and does not have any defined features or is not well maintained. The Haritha hotel attached to it may offer a good weekend stay. The view of the whole town from the fort is awesome though!!
Shweta M — Google review
The fort is walkable distance from old Medak bus stop. It is not very high, can go up and come down within 4-5 hours at a normal walking speed. On the top of the fort there is a small structure apart from it nothing more to see. However, the view from top is amazing and I would say it's a good outing if you go with your family or friends and don't really want to exert yourself.
Donishka D — Google review
The fort is kinda isolated and a little difficult to reach by car. You'll need to ask around for the route. Also you might feel that the place is a little shady unless you go in a large group. Take Care & Hope you have fun.

Medak Fort was built in the 12th century by Kakatiyas. The approach road to the fort is narrow but you can not the entry point. From there you have to climb the steps to reach to the top of the fort. At every stage, you can peep back into history to see the latest and grandeur of the then kingdoms. The beautiful view of Medak town can be seen from the fort. Really had a great time visiting this place.

No security. No maintenance. Just rotting to be honest. Sad to see the condition. Narrow roads which are broken. Vandalized. People celebrating birthdays here and throwing garbage every where. Perched atop a hillock in Medak, Telangana, the historic Medak Fort stands as a testament to the region's rich past. Believed to have been built during the reign of the Kakatiya dynasty, this fort boasts impressive architecture and strategic positioning. Its massive walls, bastions, and gateways reflect a blend of Persian and Indian styles. The fort also houses a prominent mosque, showcasing the architectural diversity within its walls. While time has weathered parts of this structure, the panoramic views from its vantage points and the echoes of history within its confines continue to attract visitors, offering a glimpse into Telangana's storied heritage.

Nice place for weekend hangout. This fort is really beautiful and must see. Today I traveled to fort from Hyderabad, in mid afternoon because of very hot climate I was not able to climb the fort till end. But it was amazing while traveling. If the government takes interest in maintaining it looks more beautiful.

Nice place but maintenance is needed by the government..people can't just go and destroy the historical places..please do something for this place.. I like this place so much but difficult as maintenance is so so poor.. Actually this place need 5 star but for its poor maintenance I will give it 3 star.. The scenic beauty from the fort is so so nice it just can melt your heart ❤️
Anwesha M — Google review
Had a very nice experience but it doesn't had a proper maintenance, you can see the entire city top view from the fort. Try climb up to the end and you can see the good view. Somehow the final entry closed on the top may be govt. can focus and maintain to attract more people and make it as tourist place. Haritha had a restaurant where you can expect some cool drinks, ice-creams and tea coffe with snacks.

Amazing place. Visited the place on 27th Oct when there are good rainfall and the dam was opened. The water was flowing through the stairs and walkway and we can walk from it. Good location for photography. The water was clean and if you're a swimmer you can go for the dive too. Be careful while walking on the ramp as due to water the green fungus has formed and is slippery. It was in Saturday and suprisingly there was very less crowd so we had most of the dam for ourselves and had good photo shoot. Good for friends & families too.

Amazing place to spend time at peace. There are boulders to sit and dip your feet. Or you can just let yourself into the water completely in shallow edges. There’s a path to walk along the water. Fishermen can be seen fishing and there are lot of vendors selling food. Parking is available.

Wonderful place to visit right after monsoon, if you like water and height. Just 16 km from Medak, this place is a perfect getaway destination for those living in Hyderabad on weekends. Though there’s a lot that needs to be done to make this place into a tourist destination, this place has started to attract travel enthusiasts from across Telangana. But when it comes to precautionary measures, there’s none in this place and it is a matter of concern. If one is willing to stay within their limits, this place is absolutely amazing.

Shri Kshetra Jharni Narasimha Temple

Hindu temple
Nature & Parks
This Hindu temple is accessed by wading through a cave with water around four to five feet deep.
Travelled from Hyderabad to this temple by the time we reached there weather was cool and pleasant , there is lush greenery all over near temple and hills . Now coming to temple before we enter into we have pass through shops.in order pray Narasimha Swamy we have to water walk and water level is greater than 4 feet and the cave is air conditioned . There are 3 idols in the cave . I suggest everyone to buy darshan tickets along with locker tickets if you wanna use lockers and they are not free . Prices are 10 rupees per person for darshanam and 20 rupees for a locker.
SAI G — Google review
It's a nice place and going in the water for some time is a nice experience. Bidar Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (also called Narasimha Jhira / Jharni Cave Temple): Key Facts/legend: The temple is a cave temple located in Bidar, Karnataka. It is dedicated to Lord Narasimha (an avatar of Vishnu). According to legend, after killing the demon Hiranyakashipu, Narasimha went on to kill another demon named Jalasura (Jharasura). Jalasura was a devotee of Lord Shiva, and while dying, he asked Narasimha to stay in his cave and bless devotees. Jalasura then turned into water which flows from the deity’s feet. This is the origin of the name “Jhira / Jharni” (water) Narasimha. The deity is said to be swayambhu (self-manifested). What Makes It Unique: Devotees walk through a tunnel/cave for about 300 meters through water that is waist-deep to reach the sanctum. The water is reported to have medicinal/sulphur properties useful for skin conditions. The space in the inner sanctum is quite limited: only about 8–9 people can view the deity at a time.
Vara R — Google review
Must visit temple. You will get positive vibes. Water in the tunnel is dirty may be because many devotees come to this temple for darshan. Water in tunnel is upto 5 feet at the entrance but sir that is only 4 feet. You can hold the wall and pass the entrance. Need to take tickets to enter temple.
Swaroop R — Google review
✨ “Felt blessed to have darshan even though water was about 4–5 feet deep. Please note: Lunch break from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Pregnant women and children below 2 years are not allowed. However, if you still wish to go, they won’t raise any objection.” ✨
Bollepally R — Google review
Very Amazing experience while going to darshan. Moving through water to the cave is very memorable. Very good temple. Felt blessed to have darshan in this temple.
Deepthi G — Google review
Absolute chaos. The management of this temple is extremely poor. Long serpent like line. Ticket counter is a fighting ring. 1 luggage counter with a box like window manned by 1 person who takes and also gives luggage overwhelmed by crazy crowd. He refused to take luggage as there were no more lockers left. Total miss management. Shops outside provide for towels but heard the changing rooms are bad but cannot confirm this info. Rs 100 special darshan is also in super crowded so no difference from general line.
Manoj S — Google review
Beautiful Narsimha temple, the only temple with underwater passage way to the sanctum sanctorum. They have changing rooms for the drooping wet people. Spacious parking and little shops with all necessities. They have great lodging options for temple visitors.
Geetakshi K — Google review
This is a must-visit temple where you can truly feel the positive vibes. The ticket price for darshan is ₹10 per person. Bag lockers are available at ₹20 per bag for depositing your belongings. After darshan, changing rooms are available, and they charge ₹5 per person. Laddu prasadam is offered at ₹50 per laddu. parking for bike they will charge ₹10.

Bidar Fort

Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Bidar Fort, a historic fortress dating back to the 15th century, is renowned for its Islamic monuments and innovative water-supply system. It served as the administrative capital of a significant region and boasts impressive defensive features such as a triple moat carved from solid red rock and extensive walls. The fort's fairy-tale entrance winds through three gateways, leading to 37 bastions, numerous wells, and a vast magazine.
A vast and historically significant fort spreading through a large part of Bidar town. Huge structure and beautiful art and sculpture work inside the main palace and fort walls are noteworthy.
S M — Google review
Its a massive fort complex, replete with numerous structures including a jail, a common hall and a massive 12 ft (3.6m) long canon on the far side. It offers serene view of the nearby wilderness and valleys. A very unique triple moat structure and winding pathways inside this fort may make you feel very cramped at the start but the moment you enter inside there is a lot of open space. Quite an underrated spot.
Vishal C — Google review
Bidar Fort is one of the most underrated historical gems in Karnataka. The fort complex is massive and beautifully spread out, with impressive architecture, intricate carvings, old mosques, palaces, and gateways that reflect the Bahmani Sultanate’s rich history. The calm atmosphere and panoramic views from the fort walls make it a peaceful place to explore. It’s a great spot for history lovers, photographers, and even casual visitors who just want to enjoy an offbeat heritage site. On the flip side, maintenance could be better. Some areas are neglected, with overgrown grass and litter in corners. Information boards are limited, so unless you go with a guide, it can be difficult to understand the historical significance of each structure. Basic amenities like clean washrooms, drinking water, and food stalls are lacking inside the fort, so carrying your own water is a must. Overall, Bidar Fort is a must-visit if you are in or around Bidar. With better upkeep and tourist facilities, it has the potential to be one of the top heritage attractions in South India. ✅ Pros: Stunning architecture & rich history Peaceful and less crowded compared to other forts Great for photography and exploration ❌ Cons: Poor maintenance in some parts Limited information boards & guides Lack of basic amenities (washrooms, water, food stalls)
Amalan P — Google review
Worth a visit, fort is huge and built very well. Astonishing work. It has several layers to protect the rulers from enemy attacks. It is Kakatiya dynasty site captured by Tughlak. There is a small museum which has hindu relics and weapons used in that period. Small cafeteria is available inside for snacks and beverages. No entry or parking fee.

The fort visit was pleasant, CAR parking available. Good for photoshoot (mobile). Monsoon is the best time to visit. Well maintained. Fort closes at 5pm.

14th century fort built by bahamani kingdom. If you are in Bidar this is a place to visit. Vast fort spreads over 2/3 kms or more. Some locals have made it dirty with Gutka packs and spitting etc Most of the places inside the fort are locked.
Santosh H — Google review
Impressive Architecture and Monuments: Visitors consistently highlight the fort's magnificent architecture, reflecting both Bahamani and Persian styles. Historical Significance: The fort offers a glimpse into over 500 years of history, including the Western Chalukya and Bahmani eras. Free Entry and Parking: A major draw is that entry to the fort is free, and there are well-maintained parking facilities available. Less Crowded: Many appreciate that Bidar Fort is generally less crowded compared to other popular forts in India, allowing for a more relaxed and immersive experience. Panoramic Views: The fort's elevated location on the Bidar plateau offers stunning, panoramic views. Architectural Treasures: Inside the fort, visitors can explore structures like the Rangin Mahal (known for its colorful tile work), Gagan Mahal, Takhat Mahal, Jami Masjid, and Solah Khamba Masjid. Well-Preserved Elements: Despite being a ruin, the fort retains many original architectural features and showcases intricate details like tile work and stone carvings. Karez Water System: The unique ancient underground water supply system (karez) is a notable feature, demonstrating the engineering prowess of the past. Good for Photography: Ample opportunities exist for photography, with some suggesting taking 2-3 hours to capture its beauty. Good for Kids: Some reviews indicate it's a suitable place to visit with children. Well-Maintained and Informative: Some find it well-maintained with clear signage and security. Poor Maintenance in Areas: Some visitors have noted that certain areas of the fort suffer from poor maintenance. Limited Internal Attractions: Several reviewers mention that there are limited attractions inside the fort, especially within the ruined spaces. Difficulty Exploring Without a Guide: Some find it challenging to fully explore the fort without the assistance of a guide to provide context and information. Food Options: One visitor mentioned that the canteen inside the fort was not open during their visit, and other food options were scarce, suggesting visitors come prepared with snacks. Overall Bidar Fort is generally considered a highly worthwhile visit, especially for those interested in history, architecture, and photography. Its grand scale, unique features like the triple moat and Karez system, and the opportunity to delve into the past are significant draws. While some areas might lack meticulous upkeep, the overall experience seems to be positive for most visitors, with the added benefit of free entry and fewer crowds.

Jai Bhavani 🚩 Divine goddess place, thousands of people visit on a daily basis. Parking is somewhat far away from the temple. This place has a very respectful history and its legacy needs to be admired, but the place is always dirty and garbage is lying around, this is mainly because of the uncivilised people visiting this place and this needs to be changed.

Ahmednagar Fort

Mentioned on
15 lists
Sights & Landmarks
Fortress
Nestled in the heart of Ahmednagar, the historic Ahmednagar Fort is a captivating destination that beckons history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This centuries-old fortress, originally built in the 16th century during the reign of the Ahmednagar Sultanate, boasts impressive architecture and a rich tapestry of stories from various rulers and dynasties. Once a prison for Indian independence leaders in the 1940s under British rule, it has witnessed countless invasions throughout its storied past.
One of the oldest forts in India. It has Nizam Shahi architecture and was the headquarters of the Ahmednagar Sultanate.
CYBER F — Google review
Only a certain portion of the fort is open to public.. army area.. parking available within the fort .. not maintained properly.. no tickets.. free entry.. 1. Foundation and Architectural Style: The fort was constructed around 1559 CE during the reign of Malik Ahmad Nizam Shah. Its architecture is a blend of medieval Indian military fortifications, with high walls, bastions, and a surrounding moat. It was designed to serve as a military stronghold and withstand sieges. The circular design with 24 bastions makes it one of the most formidable forts of its time. 2. Role in the Deccan Sultanates: Ahmednagar Fort was the seat of power for the Nizam Shahi dynasty of the Deccan region. It was central to their control over the Deccan Plateau and saw numerous battles during the wars between the Sultanates of Bijapur, Golconda, and the Mughal Empire. 3. Conflict with the Mughals: In 1600, the fort became the site of intense conflict when the Mughal Emperor Akbar laid siege to it. Chand Bibi, the queen regent of Ahmednagar, famously defended the fort against Akbar’s forces. However, the fort eventually fell to the Mughals, marking the decline of the Nizam Shahi dynasty. Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, also used Ahmednagar Fort during his campaigns to subdue the Marathas. 4. Role during British Rule: The fort gained renewed significance during the British colonial period. It was used as a prison by the British to detain several Indian freedom fighters during the independence movement. Most notably, Jawaharlal Nehru, along with other leaders of the Indian National Congress, was imprisoned in Ahmednagar Fort in 1942 during the Quit India Movement. Nehru wrote his famous book, "The Discovery of India," while incarcerated here

The fort is in circular shape and one can walk the entire outer wall on the walkway made on the top of the wall.

The Ahmednagar fort is a small fort occupied by military. Military allows visit of fort free. The structures inside fort are in dilapidated condition in absence of maintenance. The wall of fort is strong and one can walk on the wall of fort. It takes maximum one hour to complete tour of fort

The fort was built during A.D. 1553 to A.D. 1565. The fort has 24 bastions, one large gate and some other gates. The fort has seen many handovers of powers from Nizams to Mughals to Peshwa and to British emperors finally coming under regulation of India post independence. This is very strong fort on ground and was difficult to conquer in the history. It is quite large and some area can be seen by general public as rest of the area is army camp. During Aug 1942 to April 1945, Indian political leaders were kept as interns of this fort which was converted to British jail that time.. View from fort wall is very nice. Feel very proud to see big tricolor flag on the wall ! You can go to tank museum which is nearby (approx 3 km from fort)

This is over 500 years old fort. It's now open to see it , just that we need to keep our id card at the entrance and need to pick it up once you are done. Octagonal Palace is a nice architectural monument. Leaders block is a place where many of the freedom fighters were prisoned from 1942- 1945. Our first prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his famous book Discovery of India in this prison. They have many self explanatory boards. One can walk on the walls of the fort. It's nice panoramic view. Very quite place.

Shani Shingnapur, also known as Shani Shinganapur or Shingnapur, is a village located in the Maharashtra state of India. It is renowned for its prominent temple dedicated to Lord Shani, the Hindu deity associated with the planet Saturn. Unlike traditional temples, this unique site has no walls or chambers; instead, locals believe that Lord Shani resides in a black stone and provides protection to his devotees.

Shree Mahaganapati Ganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra)

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Shree Mahaganapati Ranjangaon, one of the revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is a must-visit destination for devotees and travelers alike. Nestled in the serene village of Ranjangaon, approximately 50 km from Pune, this ancient temple boasts a rich history linked to Lord Shiva's invocation of Ganesha before vanquishing the demon Tripurasura.
I have visited this temple twice, and both times, it was a wonderful and spiritual experience. The temple has a peaceful and divine atmosphere, making it a must-visit for devotees of Lord Ganesha. The architecture is beautiful, and the temple premises are well-maintained. However, one thing that I did not like was the VIP darshan system. People who pay ₹100 per person get quick access, while others have to wait in long queues for 1-2 hours, and even longer (2-3 hours) on weekends. This makes it difficult for common devotees who visit with faith and devotion. Apart from that, the overall experience was great. The temple attracts a huge crowd, which shows its significance. If you plan to visit, try going on a weekday to avoid long waiting times.

🙏 Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra) श्री महागणपती मंदिर, रांजणगाव I recently had the divine opportunity to visit Shree Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon – one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. This temple is often visited as part of the full Ashtavinayak Yatra, but even if you’re visiting individually, it leaves you with a sense of divine satisfaction. 🌟 Tips for Devotees: Mobile phones and cameras are allowed, but photography inside the sanctum is restricted. Wear comfortable footwear (to be removed before entering the temple). Try the local Maharashtrian food in the nearby stalls. 🙏 A must-visit spiritual destination that combines devotion, history, and tranquility. Truly blessed to have experienced the divine presence of Mahaganapati Bappa! गणपती बाप्पा मोरया! 🙏

The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.

It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

Beautiful temple and garden. Easily accessible from the main highway. Sometimes it is crowded. Its one of the Ashtvinayak temple.

One of the Ashtavinayak and nearer to Pune ... takes around 1hr drive from Wagholi. Darshan takes around an hour Max but it's worth it. Good arrangement by the temple trust. Good crowd management. Security. Food options available there are kinda limited but that's okay. Ganapati Bappa Morya

Nighoj is a tiny village between the Kukadi and Ghod rivers, about 90km from Pune. We had read about the naturally made ‘potholes’ in the small gorges of the river Kukadi, called Nighoj Kund. Just ask anyone for directions to the Nighoj Kund, and they will be able to point.
Crystal P — Google review
It is nice temple of Malganga Devi situated close to Nighoj potholes point. It is approx. 80kms from Pune and Road conditions are Ok. You can enjoy snacks and juices. Ambience is good and you can spent couple of hours here. Nearby natural potholes are main point of attractions. You can enjoy the natural beauty through hanging bridge. People usually come to visit this place.
