Avoid this resort at all costs!!This place is a complete scam. They lure people in with positive reviews and photos of a different resort, but when we arrived, they shifted us to another property called *Wildernest* without any prior notice. When we questioned them, they gave a vague excuse, claiming they assign resorts based on "availability."
Since we reached late at night, we had no choice but to stay. The resort we were sent to was poorly maintained, none of the promised activities were available, and the worst part — they served the *same food* for all three days!
If you value your time and money, do not book this resort. It completely ruined our vacation experience.
This resort is very good for families and couples. It is also good for students to enjoy your holidays. They provides good service and they have great hospitality service. We have enjoyed a lot in the resort. I had recently visited with my family of 12. Great service and rooms was clean and hygienic. They served hot 3 meals with veg and non veg food it was so tasty and yummy. Staff were friendly and polite. The adventure activities was good. Don't miss river rafting it's one of the most famous adventure activities in dandeli. It's was good and thrilling. We loved it. Highly recommended to visit a wonderful place.

I had visiting in the resort for 2 days with my family. Resort was beautiful and amazing. It was located in the jungle and Surrounded by beautiful lush greenery and nature orintied. This is the perfect place for any one looking for unwind from the city hustle and bustle.
Rooms: They have red stone cottages, premium rooms, garden view commando tent and camping tents. The cottage were clean and well Mentained.
Food: They have buffet system with unlimited veg and non veg food. The quality of food is too good and tasty 😋. They served time to time hot food and service was too good.
Staff's: The staff were friendly and helpful. Every staff went out if the way to make every guest feel comfortable. Mainly santosh sir helped a lot he arranged everything we need. His efforts made our visit even more memorable.
Activities: There a lot of activities like archery, dartboard, caroom rain dance campfire and also they have a pool and baby pool also our children enjoyed all day in the pool. They will give 3 water sports activities in the package like kayaking, boating and zorbing it was good and thrilling we enjoyed a lot in the river. If u visit dandeli u must do water sports activities it was thrilling and wonderful ✨😍.
Jungle Safari: they have jungle trekking option by walk in the morning only. And they will guide govt. Jungle zeep safari also it's cost 650/- pp.
Sight seeing: near by sight seeing places like Disney park, crocodile park and moulangi eco park.
Ambiance: if u are searching a resort in dandeli. I will truly say it is one of the best jungle resort in dandeli. highly recommended to visit everyone to visit this wonderful place.

Beautiful and peaceful place for anyone with spiritual interest. The place is Well maintained near and clean atmosphere, good behaviour of staff and priests.

One of the best places to visit in Hubballi - Dharwad for peace and spirituality. I visited ISKCON Sri Krishna Balarama Temple alone on a Wednesday. It is located in a calm area, surrounded by greenery. The temple premises are very clean and nicely maintained. Beautiful carvings and nice decoration around the temple add to the devotional feel.
The evening aarti was well organized. Bhajans were sung with full devotion, and the environment felt very peaceful. The volunteers at the temple were very polite and explained things patiently.
It was a very good experience to spend some time alone in such a calm and spiritual atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit for peace of mind and positive vibes.

I went to ISKON on krishna janmashtmi the temple was decorated with flowers lights all over and the energy there was so divine.
The temple is under construction and is constructing huge.

Kavala Caves, located within the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, are a set of limestone caves formed by ancient volcanic activity. The highlight of these caves is a large rock formation resembling the Hindu deity Shiva, with a 4-foot high Shivalinga at its center. This sacred site is only open to devotees on Mahashivrathri and requires an 8km trek through the tiger reserve forest to reach it.
Har Har Mahadev, this sacred place in cave is only open for devotees on mahashivaratri day, lakhs of people comes to take darshan and blessings of Shiva 🙏🏻. The route is like trekking in jungle as it is tiger reserve forest, but administration and police will be there for safety. Should visit atleast once in life.

It's a religious place, also one of the beautiful Trekking routes in Dandeli but it'll be open only for 2 days in Shivaratri.
Most valuable place but it is open once in a year I recommend visitors come from the dandeli route. Because ambhikanagar traking is difficult and there's in no facility
It opens once in every year on shivratri. Where lakhs of people arrive here. Bus facility is available from the circle to the base of the hill,later 4km walk with intermittent tea and water is provided.
After reaching the spot we see an old Shiva lingu inside the cave.
Whenever I tell my mother about my new trip plans, she used to ask me, "you are going to any temple there?" . But ended up not visiting any. This time unexpected Dandeli trip lead me and my friends to this amazing place called Kavala Caves. which is hidden for outside world except on Shivarathri. 8km trek was definitely worth visiting this place. Among the less places explored in my life, this place sure is a gem. Om Namah Shivayah
A beautiful place for a trek, naturally formed Shiva Linga. Have to trek for 4 kms to reach the descent point, where you have to go down about 500 steps, very scenic and chances of spotting Sambar or barking deer very high, just loved it, highly recommended for trekkers and nature lovers

We were searching for some view point and visited this place randomly. Really amazing to see and fantastic view. Only thing is photography not allowed inside premis. You can get some photos outside. Best view point i ever visited, soothing cold air and fog passes through you, we visited after noon so couldn't see much fog, morning is best time to visit.

Indeed, visiting this place is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, offering breathtaking views of nature's wonder. However, to access this beautiful destination, it's essential to obtain permission from KPCL (Karnataka Power Corporation Limited) in Ambikanagar, Dandeli.
Once permission is granted, you'll be rewarded with a mesmerizing viewpoint of River Kali as it flows through a deep V-shaped gorge. The river gracefully curves around 90 degrees first towards the right and then towards the left, creating a truly awe-inspiring sight that showcases the raw power and beauty of nature.

Beautiful place. One must need permission from the KPCL to reach here. The view of the river flowing is a Man made and not a natural one. Must visit for the view and the Sunset.
Mesmerising views and the aesthetics of the place are just too good. Restricted to the general public. In order to visit, one must obtain prior permission from the authorities at KPCL. Well maintained. Parking is available too. I recommend visiting during the evening to experience the sunset. Photography is restricted too.😬

Unkal Lake Hubli: Perfect for Picnics & Peaceful Walks!
Unkal Lake is a popular and well-maintained spot in Hubli, ideal for picnics, walks, and quality family time. The lake is large, complemented by a clean garden, playground, and walking pavements right at the entrance. Entry is a nominal ₹10 per person, and car parking is conveniently available in front. While the lake itself is well-maintained with regular de-weeding and attractive new fountains with lights, it's disheartening to see visitors still scattering garbage and plastic, despite efforts to keep it litter-free. A great place to relax, if visitors contribute to its cleanliness.
A great place to spend time with family and friends! The Unkal Lake and garder is the place where you can find real peace and happiness. The place is totally covered with greenery and we can see many view points there so that we can enjoy the lake view from there and can feel the atmosphere.
The lake and garden is really wonderful but I suggest to maintain the Unkal Lake more as the water seems to be polluted, and also request each and everyone (including me) to maintain the place and follow the rules so that the lake and garden look better and it's our own responsibility to maintain our area and surroundings clean including public parks, gardens and more.
My overall experience was pretty good and I really enjoyed a lot.
Most recommended garden to visit for the one who are new to Hubballi, and i recommend those too who haven't visited this place.
There are even many more kids playable area so that kids can enjoy and have fun. Best walking trails are available for morning and evening walks and you'll really enjoy it.
Huge Parking facility is also available vehicle parking.
The ticket is Rs.10 per person and Rs.5 for vehicle (the day I visited). * Online Payment Option is not available. ** No entry ticket and vehicle parking ticket were provided by the ticket counter agent, who was unresponsive.*

A beautiful place to sit in peace and enjoy the calmness of lake. So many benches are available for people to sit and relax as well. Evening are great on weekdays.

Great place for walkers and jogger’s . We could only make 1/4th round of the entire lake . According to the security of the lake the entire periphery of the lake is about 6.5 kms . The lake closes at 07:00 pm . If you are planning to cover the entire round then have ample time before you take the full circle.
The lake is just next to Hotel naveen . The pavement have been well laid . There are lights out along the track so that the move may be smooth . There is a sun set view point at the enterance at a heightened location . There is an eatery/restaurant at the entrance where you can grab snack before you set out for walking . Entrance fee is 10/- and parking fee is also 10/- . If you are in Hubballi and not sure where to go in the evening then this is a good place to explore .
I am a resident of Jaipur and have been visiting lake for long walks ever since childhood. I have seen people from all walks of life come to lake for morning and evening walks. I like to walk the talk here with friends and family. The environment of the lake is very conducive for deep introspection. Watching the sunrise or sunset gives me an exhilarating experience and makes me feel one with God and Nature. Of late you can see the water shimmering like silver if you go around 5:30 or 6:00 pm and makes the whole area look so calm and serene and beautiful. At the other end of the lake there is now a Buddha Park with a very beautiful calm and serene statue of Lord Buddha in sitting pose. At the entrance you will find the lake club, restaurant, lots of vendors selling eatables, and a big play zone for kids where you can enjoy with kids. Also, there are ducks in the lake which you can feed or go for a boat ride. There are plenty of things to do here. It has become an activity centre for people. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Good place to spend some decent time with family. There is a place for kids to play also to excercise there are few equipments have been kept. Seperate section for girls and boys.
There is a electrical vehicle facility available at just 20/- per person including up and down.
There is a canteen with limited items. Taste wise it's good.

Today we went there did body and leg massage in massage chair s.Lot of shops but no rush.Parking is there.A super market is in the basement.i did shopping in pantaloons.This mall is on main airport road.
I visited this place last friday. When i entered inside mall light gone so due to this i used stairs. Stairs was smelling. I visited here with my baby so i gone to washroom but there was no diaper changing place there also washroom was very dirty it was water all around washroom.. i even couldn't used it. Ac was not on so it was feeling suffocated so within 15 mints i just returned. I wouldn't recommend to visit thos place.
Urban Oasis Mall is a solid, all-in-one spot on Gokul Road—easy to reach, with plenty of shopping, a multiplex, and a straightforward food court. It’s clean, reasonably well maintained, and works well for a few hours of retail therapy or a movie + meal plan.

I recently visited Urban Oasis Mall in Hubli, and while it offers a few amenities, the overall experience was underwhelming.
The mall houses some well-known brands like Pantaloons, Reliance Trends, and Woodland, but many stores appeared closed or sparsely stocked. The food court features outlets such as KFC and Domino's, yet the token-based system is cumbersome, and service can be slow .
Entertainment options include a Cinepolis multiplex and a gaming zone. However, the cinema has been criticized for issues like sound quality and screen maintenance . The gaming area is modest and may not appeal to all age groups.
Cleanliness and maintenance are areas of concern. Visitors have reported poorly maintained washrooms and a persistent odor in the parking area . Security staff have also been noted for unhelpful behavior in some instances.
In summary, Urban Oasis Mall serves as a basic spot to pass time in Hubli but falls short of expectations for a comprehensive shopping or leisure experience.
It's okay. Only decent place in hubli to watch movies.. pvr is there.. They have bowling also. Food court in-house is very bad. Stalls inside is not good. maintenance can be better!
Is a decent weekend destination —A visit on a Saturday, and it wasn’t overly crowded, which made browsing easy. That said, it could definitely do with better housekeeping — some areas felt a bit neglected — and adding more anchor tenants would elevate the overall shopping experience.
The Mall is very good and well maintained, but mindset of people who live in the city is not as developed as metro city people. Due to which the footfalls in the mall is very low which have led a lot shops to close. In my recent visit a lot of shops of the food court were closed. Barely any apparel shops were open.

A majestic waterfall. You will have to do a small trek to reach the falls. Any age group can achieve it. The falls in itself is very beautiful. The roar of the water falling for a height can be heard from a distance. The young guys can easily climb the rocks and go right to the falls. Taking a shower right below the falls is an absolute must. One can spend the whole day there.
Beautiful falls with no trek in yellapur, Karnataka. The last few km of the road are extremely in bad condition. There is lots of parking. Hardly a five minutes walk from the parking. This is one of the most beautiful tourist place to visit! One of the beautiful falls in Karnataka. This is the place where you'll will experience trekking in a wonderful nature surrounded by greenery and it's a very well maintained place to visit. The thing is, here we get parking place to our vehicles too and the parking charge is Rs. 20 per vehicle and the entrance fee is Rs. 70 per person.
I happily recommend this place to visit on weekends with family and friends.

Very nice place to visit at weekend the road is quite nice with all the curvings and all which passes through forest, you might love it, go on bike i suggest car is ok but the road is narrow at a time only one car can pass while other have to wait so best go by bike. The ticket is ₹30 per person

I sincerely request Agadi Thota to make mud kitchen items available either online or offline, so more people can use them, as they are really good for health. Nowadays, in Dharwad city, I only come across matka water, but not such authentic items.

Agadi Thota is a perfect destination to enjoy the real rural beauty and culture of North Karnataka. The farm is well maintained, calm and quiet in lush green surroundings.
The activities provided are enjoyable for all age groups. From bullock cart ride, pottery making, boating, rain dance and many others. But mind you they only provide the structure you have to do everything yourself.
But the best part is the food of North Karnataka served during entire day..it’s simply awesome..fresh, tasty ,homely and unlimited also..
The staff is very warm and makes sure that whoever comes there have a great time. The concept of organic farming and showing people how to do such type of farming in a very sustainable manner is really appreciated. It’s not about visiting, it can be called as an complete cultural exposure.

We had taken one day pass which costed 850 rs per person and entry is free for children under 3 years of age. This includes breakfast, fruits, lunch and snacks. Also activities like boating, visit to the resort and auditorium, bullock cart ride, swimming pool access and rain dance. Also there’s kids play area, animal sculptures and scenes showing the rural occupations. It was a nice one day picnic with my family.
Worth for money, we enjoyed lot, food was delicious also staff mr. Mahesh was very humble. Thanks to Management.

What an amazing place of religious significance this is. Nestled deep in western ghat jungle, this place is an oasis The temple and mattha is very ancient and is a sacred pilgrimage for the madhava culture. Some parts of the temple premises were under construction so could not completely see it. There is a dharamshala for pilgrims to stay. The closest town is Sirsi which is 20 km away. This is a must visit place. If you travel this far, don't miss the Sodhe Sri Swarnavalli mattha... This is another beautiful temple.

We set out to visit the Sonde Vadiraja Math, a peaceful and well-known spiritual center tucked away in the greenery of Uttara Kannada. Unfortunately, we reached around 10 AM, only to find out that the math was closed due to renovation. Turns out, it’s only open from 5:30 AM to 8:00 AM and again from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM during this period. A bit of a bummer, but now we know—and so do you! Definitely call ahead or plan your visit within those hours if you don’t want to miss darshan like we did.
That said, the food at Sonde Math was surprisingly good—simple, tasty, and felt just right after a long morning drive. So the visit wasn’t a total miss!
To turn the day around, we headed to Tapovana, and wow, this place made up for everything. It involves a 1 km hike through a jungle trail, which is absolutely beautiful. The path winds through thick greenery, birds chirping, and fresh air all around—exactly the kind of walk your soul needs.
And then comes the best part—the water at Tapovana was ice cold, and stepping into it after the hike was pure bliss. All the tiredness from walking just vanished. It felt like nature’s own spa treatment. 😌
If you’re visiting Sonde, definitely add Tapovana to your list. Go for the peace, stay for the hike, and soak in the water—you won’t regret it.
One of the sacred Madhwa Sidhanta temples. The place reverberates with positive energy and vibes which gives a warm feeling of Sri Vadiraja Guru omni present at the place. Excellent arrangement for stay and food with zero commercialisation makes this place so much more pious and blessed
One of the oldest and blessed place. Nice atmosphere with nature friendly. For meditation it's the best place. Car parking is there. Do recommend others.

This was my 1st visit to the Sode Vadiraja Matha and Bhoitharaja Sannidhi. Whole temple complex is huge and requires lots of climbing up and down and long walks.
The place is divine, serene , peaceful and feels positive. Shree Matha is getting beautifully renovated and once complete the whole campus will looks much more aesthetically pleasing.
Do roll the coconut at Bhootharaja sannidhi. It is powerful.
They serve free tea and coffee in the specified hours. Stay is available and 3 times free meal is provided for the ones who stays.
This place in midst of nature is divine and nice getaway is a must when one travels to sirsi. You will find stay here peaceful and prasadam has amazing taste. Prasadam usually around 11.30am-1:30pm

One can walk down the river bed with the lingas all around, presenting a stunning site. But sad to see people not respecing the sanctity of the place by taking baths and washing clothes in the river right next to the lingas, which is a sad sight. The Government must ensure such things don't happen.
But definitely a must visit place, which reveals India's rich and mysterious history.

I have visited the Sahasralingeshwara Temple near Sirsi twice, and each time has been a deeply spiritual experience. Nestled on the serene banks of the Shalmala River, this sacred site is truly unique, with thousands of Shiva Lingas carved on the rocks. Built under the patronage of King Sadashivarayavarma (1678–1718), the place beautifully reflects the devotion and craftsmanship of that era.

Really peaceful spot surrounded by trees and a beautiful river view. The stairs take you right down close to the water ane shivalimgas, and the whole vibe is super calming. Perfect for a short walk, some quiet time, or just soaking in the natural beauty.
Just a heads-up: try not to visit during the rainy season — the steps can get slippery and the water level rises, which makes it a bit tricky to explore safely.

Unique historical site with hundreds of ancient rock-carved shiva lingas in the river bed. Best time to visit is during summers or much later after Monsoons when the river water levels recede and the Shiva Lingas are visible. The place itself is very calm and soothing.
One can walk down the river bed with the lingas all around, presenting a stunning site. But sad to see people not respecing the sanctity of the place by taking baths and washing clothes in the river right next to the lingas, which is a sad sight. The Government must ensure such things don't happen.
But definitely a must visit place, which reveals India's rich and mysterious history.

Visiting Sahasralinga in the month of July during the monsoon offers a completely different yet magical experience. Located near Sirsi in Uttara Kannada, this sacred site is known for thousands of Shiva Lingas carved on the rocks in the Shalmala River.

I have visited the Sahasralingeshwara Temple near Sirsi twice, and each time has been a deeply spiritual experience. Nestled on the serene banks of the Shalmala River, this sacred site is truly unique, with thousands of Shiva Lingas carved on the rocks. Built under the patronage of King Sadashivarayavarma (1678–1718), the place beautifully reflects the devotion and craftsmanship of that era.
Walking along the riverbed, the sight of countless Shivalingas accompanied by carved Nandis creates an atmosphere of divine energy and timeless heritage. The calm flow of the river adds to the temple’s tranquility, making it not just a religious site but also a peaceful retreat for the soul.

Really peaceful spot surrounded by trees and a beautiful river view. The stairs take you right down close to the water ane shivalimgas, and the whole vibe is super calming. Perfect for a short walk, some quiet time, or just soaking in the natural beauty.
Just a heads-up: try not to visit during the rainy season — the steps can get slippery and the water level rises, which makes it a bit tricky to explore safely.
Lingas r beautiful although we could see only few as river was full of water. Don't forget to visit the hanging bridge. Staff there is helpful. Public toilet available but not very clean esp for females.

Visited temple post our trek. Its an ancient temple with a history of 1800 years. This temple has been established in 2nd century. Over the period of times multiple rulers have developed this temple. This temple is of Lord Shiva. Temple of Goddess Parvati is also been established inside the temple premises. The main attraction is the Nandi statue which has been made in a such a way that its one eye is looking at Lord Shiva & another eye is looking Goddess Parvati. The architectural design is amazing.
Temple also has many small temples inside the premises.
Temple has to be Maintained properly by the government.

The temple is located around 800m from the bus stand. People taking buses need to get an auto to reach temple. Inside the region one can experience the rich cultural heritage of Kadamba dynasty. The pillars and moorties are very artistically built in those very ancient years. Great piece of abilities from sculptors. There is daily anna prasada. So people can have lunch. There is a small Balaji temple outside nicely built. If no rains one can visit Varada river bank which is 500m from temple.

Ancient temple with lot of art works, but poorly maintained by government undertaking. Even the crowd that comes in is noisy and with zero sensibility, spoils the artefacts. The temple needs a good maintenance to keep up the serenity of temple and history.

I have taken bus safari with combo per person 250rs including zoo. But not worth only we can see 1 tiger and 1 lion in cage balance 1 tiger and 1 lion sleeping outside mid of the forest.. rest we can sightsee in safari are deer and kadave…

Visited Shimoga Zoo and Safari recently, and honestly, it felt more like just a zoo than an actual safari. The "safari" experience was underwhelming — the animals, including the tigers, were in enclosures just like in the zoo, so it didn’t feel like a true safari at all.
There was only one lion, and overall, the zoo section wasn’t very impressive either. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement in terms of animal habitats, maintenance, and visitor experience.
That said, the highlight was getting to see some big cats up close — lions, tigers, leopards, and even a black panther, which was exciting. But beyond that, it didn’t quite meet expectations.
The forest space is huge but has only a lion and a couple of tigers. The guide informed that they are bringing in 4 more tigers from bengal in the month of October. We took a private jeep and yet the tour was rushed by the guide stating that it was peak season and hence reducing a star. There were plenty of deer families and the bisons were magnificent.
Not at all worth for the money we pay for both safari and zoo. No much animals / reptiles / birds. No much maintenance too with respect to animals. Eatables are available only at the exit of zoo. Park will be occupied only by adults without even caring for small children. Cycle is available to roam inside the zoo at Rs.50. Parking fee must be paid at the entrance itself
Although it has almost all type of animals , count of the same are limited . It’s really good place for kids to learn and enjoy. I recommend parents to get ther kids to visit . So not compare it with Bangalore or Mysore. This zoo is well maintained. I don’t recommend safari here but if you have time and first time visiting then it’s worth.
A very poorly managed Zoo and Safari near Shimoga. Only One lion and two tigers were there in the Safari Enclave, all of them in cages and we need to travel in fully secured buses to watch caged predators.... What is the logic behind this? Why it is called a Safari? Rs. 250 is the ticket cost per person for Zoo and Safari, totally worthless for the Safari Part. Moreover, despite having so many buses, the drivers used to wait till all the 20 seats got occupied and we made to wait for nearly 20 minutes inside the bus for other people to come.... Disgusting indeed.....!

We were 2 families with 4 kids. Calling on prior day of travel to check on our visit and food preference gave confidence on our reservation, very nice gesture.
Everyone at the resort from the pick up/drop vehicle, guide explaining all details on itinerary, dining staff patience, house keeping staff quick service, less spicy food but with good quality, decent nature walk trek, very good boating, everything was good.
Premises kept clean, elephant interaction was very nice especially for kids. Special part was elephants stopping near resort was too good.

Amazing authentic experience. First time I saw so many elephants and somewhat authentic and rustic experience. They also allow elephants to roam freely after 1pm in the jungle. They also feed elephants at 12, though we’re not allowed to feed them. Kids will love it.
Had a good stay here at the Sakrebylu JLR. Since it's close to a forest, rooms had worms, millipedes and frogs - but this is unavoidable. The food was quite tasty and we had a very good experience bathing the elephants here!
Try reaching this place before 1245 pm - at about 1 pm the elephants will return from the river to go to their resting place, and they pass through the JLR. So you can view them at close range.
Also, bathing the elephants is only visa limited booked slots, that too mostly for people booking their stay at the JLR. Elephant bathing activity happens only from 9 to 10 am. Go with the JLR person, talk to them and maybe give them a few rupees and they will ensure you get a good slot and bathing experience.
We had a truly wonderful stay at Sakrebyle Elephant Camp Jungle Lodges & Resorts. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and memorable. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and offered a very comfortable stay, while the food was absolutely amazing – fresh, tasty, and served with warmth.
A special mention and kudos to the brilliant team of naturalists – Mr. Suresh and Mr. Abhi. They made our treks unforgettable by sharing their vast knowledge of the forest, carefully explaining about the plants, animals, and their lifestyles. They even showed us different pug marks and footprints of leopards, deer, and elephants, and explained how mahouts track elephants using footprints and chain marks – truly fascinating!
The highlight was definitely the interaction with the elephants at the camp. Watching them up close and even helping in bathing them was a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Overall, this place offered not just a pleasant stay but an enriching journey into nature, with warm hospitality, great food, clean rooms, and unforgettable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature in the most authentic way.
The name of the place is highly misleading. It doesn't have any link with the Elephant Camp, just that it is located opposite to the camp. If the purpose is only to visit the elephant camp, it would be better to stay in any nearby hotel (Shimogga is 15 minutes drive) and arrive at the camp directly at 9AM. Once we are at the camp, it dosn't matter whether you stay at this resort or not.
Room was old but clean, we stayed in wooden cottage.
Food options were limited but everything they served was tasty.
Children play area is begging to be renovated. No other amenities to keep kids enganged.
Once we arrived, lunch was ready and after that they took us to boat ride. But, this was paid and they skipped nature walk for this and mentioned that the morning trek would be same as nature walk. But the boat ride was a big dissapointment, it is just a small 10 to 15 minutes ride on the boat.
Coffee, snacks were served along with a documentary show. The show about Bhadra Santuary was played on a small TV with very low volume which doesn't serve any purpose at all.
Soup was served with campfire followed by dinner.
While walking back from dinner to the room, a venomous pit head viper was spotted and promptly removed by the staff, luckily before anyone stepped on it. The lighting in the property is not adequate.
Early morning, the trekking was cancelled a wild elephant was spotted. They could have taken for a walk or bird watching, but they didn't oblige.
Next activity was elephant interaction. They dropped us in the camp. Entrance was free but, ticket was to be bought for elephant bathing! They could have included that as well.

I wouldn’t recommend going during other seasons as there aren’t many animals visible. We did get to see a few deer, monkeys, wild boars, and Indian gaur. We were disappointed not to see tigers, but the safari was still excellent.

The scenery of the place is marvelous. If you go there in early morning, you will experience this yourself. We can take the safari ride in jeeps or in boats. We travelled in Jeep and it cost us like 654 per person and there are ten seats in a jeep. Go there as early as possible because it gets filled with people in a blink of an eye.
Although the ride was almost 3 and a half hours long, we did not encounter that many animals. We got stopped in our way by a wild bull. We encountered a leopard and some birds too. There are a couple of small lakes here and there.
There is a resting place inbetween the ride where we can fresh up and rest for a bit. The weather was good but pretty cold.
Overall, the ride was fun and enjoyable. I suggest you visit it once.

Hebbe Waterfalls is a picturesque tourist attraction on a coffee estate featuring cascading waterfalls standing at 551 feet tall. I recently visited this beautiful waterfall, and it was a truly refreshing experience! The waterfall is stunning — surrounded by lush greenery and a calm atmosphere that makes the short trek absolutely worth it.
To reach the falls, you’ll need to take a jeep safari. Both KSTDC jeeps and private jeeps are available. I’d highly recommend booking tickets in advance and going with KSTDC. Their vehicles are well-maintained, they carry only a limited number of people, and the overall experience feels more organized. Private jeeps, on the other hand, tend to charge more and often expect passengers to adjust beyond the jeep’s actual capacity, which can make the ride less comfortable.
From the dropping point, you’ll get exactly one hour to visit the falls. The jeep will wait there for your return. It takes around 20 minutes to walk down to the waterfall, where you can spend about 20 minutes enjoying the view, and then another 20 minutes to head back.
Tip: If you’re visiting on a public holiday or during peak season and haven’t booked in advance, be prepared for a longer waiting time for jeeps.
Overall, this place is perfect for a short and scenic adventure. Comfortable footwear, a water bottle, and pre-booked jeep tickets will make your trip smoother and more enjoyable.

Hebbe Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve visited in Karnataka. The journey itself is memorable — you can either take a jeep ride through the forest or trek part of the way. Visited on 03.11.2025. Must visit waterfalls when you visit chikkamagaluru. To reach the waterfalls we have to take Off-roading jeep ride and cost of the ride per person was ₹590. The off-roading route was covered with full of scenic views and every view is beautiful one. Jeep will stop at a place which is 1 km far from the waterfalls and we have to walk that distance.
Driver will take UPI payments only, he will took the amount at the middle of the ride because there will be no signals at the starting point.
Hebbe Falls is a very beautiful natural waterfall and a must-visit destination. The location is scenic and peaceful, making it a great place to enjoy nature. The natural flow of water looks stunning and adds to the charm of the place.

Hebbe falls is one of the best waterfalls I have been to, the overall lead to it was great, the jeep safari through the hills, then a short 10 minute teek, finally you get to the majestic looking falls and it was all worth it. Water flow was a bit high when we went in October so we could not get too close but still it was worth it. There is a broad waterfall in front a smaller one on top in the foreground. On the way to the falls, you will also cover two small bridges which was beautiful.

This was my first time visit with family. It's a beautiful place to visit. One can get blessed from lord Veerabhadrasheswara. Take a pair of clothes and stand below water fall. Water is too cold and water is coming from river bhadra. One can reach following Google maps, but no good restaurant near by. Place is 6km from kemmangundi hill station. I recently visited this wonderful temple, Sri Veerabhadra Swamy Temple, located amidst lush greenery and natural waterfalls. The temple is truly unique with its beautiful integration into the rocky landscape. The sound of the flowing water adds a calming and spiritual vibe to the entire place.
The stone carvings of Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, and other deities are ancient and mesmerizing. The temple's main deity is beautifully decorated with flowers, creating a divine atmosphere.
What I loved the most: ✅ Natural waterfalls flowing through the temple. ✅ Peaceful and less crowded. ✅ Clean and well-maintained surroundings. ✅ Spiritual vibe with beautiful stone idols.
Things to Note:
The temple is a bit inside the forest area; reaching it might require a short trek or careful driving.
Best to visit during or just after the monsoon to see the waterfalls in full flow.
Wear proper footwear as the rocks can be slippery.

You need to travel for almost 1 hr in hills and it's ok.not as good as other spots near by.
Jhari water falls is much more better and from there again if you go up the hill the view of fog and the climate is amazing over there .

We visited Kallathigiri Falls just as the rainy season was ending, a perfect time to see the waterfall at its full potential, attracting a peak crowd. The sight of the water cascading over rocks right beside a small temple creates a truly spiritual and tranquil atmosphere, a beautiful blend of nature and devotion.
However, our experience was tempered by a couple of significant issues. Firstly, an entrance fee was collected by locals on the road leading to the falls, with only a basic chit as a receipt, which felt somewhat suspicious. More concerning, though, was the pervasive lack of civic sense among many visitors. It was disheartening to see plastics and other trash being thrown into the water, and people openly washing themselves with shampoo and soap in the river. It's a real shame that some don't consider that this polluted water flows directly past the temple further downstream.
To escape the crowds and the pollution near the main temple area, we decided to venture further. Just before the temple entrance, we climbed a rock and followed a trail along the river. After about half a kilometer, we discovered a wonderfully clean and calm spot, completely free from the crowds. This allowed us to truly connect with the serenity of nature that the falls are capable of offering.
While Kallathigiri Falls holds immense natural and spiritual beauty, visitors should be prepared for the crowds and the disheartening environmental disregard at the main viewing area. For a more peaceful and unadulterated experience, I highly recommend exploring the trails further upstream.
Kalathigiri Falls, located near Chikmagaluru, is a place that once held great natural charm and spiritual value, especially with its ancient temple nestled at the base of the waterfall. The temple, believed to be centuries old, still attracts a few visitors seeking solace and history. Unfortunately, the overall experience at the falls was disappointing and far from what we had expected.
The waterfall itself is in a neglected state. The water was muddy and unclean, and there was a shocking amount of trash—especially old, discarded clothes—scattered all around the area. The place lacked any form of maintenance or cleanliness, which really took away from the natural beauty it could have offered.
We attempted to climb to the highest point of the waterfall, hoping for a better view, but it turned out to be even more unsafe. The path was slippery and unhygienic, and we spotted several snakes along the way. It felt quite risky and uncomfortable, especially without any safety measures or proper signage in place.
Given the current condition of Kalathigiri Falls, I would strongly recommend visiting Hebbe Falls instead. It's a far more scenic, cleaner, and safer destination where you can truly enjoy the beauty of Chikmagaluru without the disappointment. Kalathigiri has potential, but it seriously needs attention and care.

Located 20+ KMs from Chikkamagaluru, would need 40+ minutes due to the winding and scenic hilly roads.
Make a note to get the Mullayanagiri vehicle pass online in advance to allow the car thru the checkpost as there are limits on the number of vehicles entering in a day.
Need to park the vehicle at Seethalayana giri base and avail a local jeep services (Rs.50 per person one way) there. Jeep drops at the Mullayanagiri base / parking lot and from there it is a 20-25 minutes climb through paved stairs. There are around 450+ stairs, not very even, challenging for people with mobility issues.
The climb is beautiful, offers great views of Chikkamagaluru valleys, Baba Budangiri hills and Shola forests, grasslands and distant waterfalls
There are no restrooms at the peak, carry water, At the base there are many food cart vendors for snacks. No restaurants or ATMs.
Weather keeps changing, most of the time mist engulfs blocking the views and offers a different kind of experience. Carry a light jacket, may tend to get colder post monsoon.
At the peak/summit, there is Mullappa swamy temple and a milestone mentioning the height. The summit area can be kept clean and neat, on the other side some old buildings, thrash and debris are seen. ☹️

One can easily spend half a day.
One has to park their vehicle near Seethalayyana giri and walk or take jeep for next 3km.
Even if you take jeep ride, they'll stop around 1.5 km before actual peak.
So, it is very much convenient to walk as the path is very good and not much steep.
There are some food vendors near the temple and near Seethalayyana giri.

In total they charge ₹300 one way, if you are group of less than 6 then also same amount or if yu okay with sharing they u can let two ppl join you.
Two way cost avg ₹100 for jeep, which is quiet expensive, and to be honest we can go by our car itself.
At top we have small shops, and tower is very bad. They will leave u at entrance from there u have to take 300-350 steps to reach top and there is a temple.

We visited Mullayanagiri around 11 AM, and the views were absolutely amazing — refreshing wind, scenic mountains, and a peaceful atmosphere. From the drop point, you need to climb around 500 steps to reach the peak, which is totally worth the effort. There is also a temple at the top that adds a spiritual feel to the experience, and the view from there is just stunning.
However, the experience felt a bit commercialized. From Seethalayyanagiri parking, jeeps are the only option to reach the drop point, and they charge ₹200 one way. If bikes or cars were allowed instead of forcing everyone to take the jeep, the visit would be more hassle-free and less commercial.
Overall, a beautiful place to visit — great for photos and nature lovers — but the transportation arrangement could be improved.

Baba Budan giri, also known as Chandra Drona Mountain Range, is a revered pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Muslims. Ride is truly enjoyable only if you go by bike otherwise, you won’t get the same thrill. Road conditions aren’t great, but the route takes you to Baba Budangiri. eventually to Manikya Dwara(complete mud road). Sitalayyana giri and mullayana giri on the way but need to take diversion. Visit the dargah here (remember to leave your shoes outside as per the tradition) divine experience !
Roads near the top become quite narrow (be careful if are riding alone) so you need to be cautious. A ride during the monsoon makes the whole experience even more memorable, with mist and greenery adding to the charm.

The drive itself is very scenic and beautiful. The road at places is bad but overall a good experience. Even though we visited this place on a weekday there was a good number of tourists.

The corn-shaped peak of Baba Budangiri is absolutely scenic and unique, offering stunning panoramic views all around. Personally, I found it more picturesque than Mullayanagiri, with its distinct shape and serene surroundings adding to the charm. A must-visit spot for nature lovers and photographers!
We visited in the October end, it was great. We can go by our own vehicle to the top. Road is also good. It was fully covered by snow and you can feel the clouds passing by. And also there a temple within caves, but phones are not allowed inside. Nice place to visit, if it’s not covered by snow then you can get great view.

I just loved the place everything is perfect about this place there are 3-4 points here one is peak a view point a water falls(jerry falls) and one temple which is worshipped by both the communities i visited in june and for me it's the best time as monsoon just hit the place.
Baba Budangiri Peak: A Mesmerizing Journey to Serene Views
Baba Budangiri Peak is truly a captivating destination, and I've been fortunate enough to visit multiple times, even making it a combined trip with Kallathigiri Falls on one occasion. The journey up to the peak itself is absolutely mesmerizing, winding through beautiful landscapes. Be aware that the forest department collects an entrance fee and conducts checks upon entry.
Once you get closer, you'll find there are about 3-4 distinct points to explore, including the main peak, a viewpoint, and a waterfall. You can park your vehicle near the stalls and dargah at the top, from where it's roughly a 2km walk to the peak. Alternatively, if you have a bike or a vehicle with good ground clearance, you can actually drive right up to the last point; it's not as difficult as some might claim. Don't be swayed by local vehicles trying to charge a lot by stating the terrain is unmanageable – that's often not true.
Once you reach the final parking spot, making the short 10-15 minute climb to the very top of the peak is a must. The view from up there is simply serene, often cloaked in a mesmerizing fog, creating a wonderfully calm atmosphere. As you enter the area, you'll find stalls selling refreshments like Maggi, bread omelet, fruits, and water, though do note that these items are a little pricier than usual. It's a fantastic place to experience nature's grandeur and find some peace.

However this is not a must visit place. Since it's close and on the way (minor deviation only) while heading to mulayanagiri you can include this in your itineraries.
It would be amazing for a nature lover to reach this place early in the morning and sit and enjoy peace and nature.
We did not visit for sunset but locals told us that during sunset this get way crowded and sunset is beautiful from here. However if you have plans to visit z point etc for sunset then feel free to skip.
If you can be here during early morning or want to see the sunset here, do visut. It's otherwise a place you can skip.
There is a sugar cane juice shop and we did not find any other shops.
This lake is only a watch only. Don't go there when the weather is hot. There is nothing else to see here but just a pretty lake with lots of sun tan. Go there only when the weather is good and you have visited all good places.

Tucked away in the quiet village of Belavadi, just a short drive from Halebidu, lies one of the most serene and spiritually moving temples I’ve ever visited — the Veeranarayana Swami Temple. I had read about the Hoysala architecture before, but nothing really prepares you for the peace and perfection that this temple radiates.
As I walked through the stone gateway, the first thing that struck me was the silence — a kind of sacred calm that seems to wrap around the place. Unlike the more crowded temples at Belur or Halebidu, Belavadi feels untouched by time. You can actually hear the sound of your own footsteps echo through the ancient mandapa.
The temple itself is a masterpiece. Every pillar is carved with precision, smooth and shiny even after centuries — a testament to the craftsmanship of the Hoysalas. The main sanctum, housing Veeranarayana Swami (Vishnu), stands tall and majestic. The deity’s expression has this divine calm that fills you with a strange mix of awe and peace. On either side are the shrines of Gopala Krishna and Yoga Narasimha, each beautifully sculpted, representing different aspects of Vishnu’s energy.

Make sure to visit the temple early in the day, as it closes by 1:30 p.m. The inner sanctum is often dark, and the camphor light may not always be kindled, making it difficult to view the idols clearly. If a priest is present during your visit, you can request him to illuminate the sanctum and offer your prayers and also give some offerings to the priest. The idols are beautifully preserved, with the Narasimha idol being particularly striking. This temple is a must-visit if you're traveling to Halebidu or passing through Arsikere.

The architecture is beautiful and it's still an active temple. Very peaceful atmosphere.
Takes about 1-2 hours to see everything. Remove footwear inside and dress modestly.
A must-visit if you're in the area. Highly recommended!

The temple stands on a raised, star-shaped platform called a “jagati,” designed for ritual circumambulation and to provide spectacular viewing angles of the detailed carvings. One should first go to the interpretation centre on the right side while getting in to get an idea of what to expect here and the history of the temple to appreciate it better. 🙏

Each wall, panel, and even pillar is intricately detailed — often compared to “poetry in stone.” Outer walls covered with continuous sculptural bands (friezes) arranged in horizontal tiers. Lathe-turned pillars — perfectly polished, symmetric, and reflective. Ceilings decorated with intricate floral and geometric motifs. There’s a museum which houses many other sculptures, inscriptions also inside the premises. There’s a nicely maintained garden area to spend sometime after immersing in the beauty of the place.
Some area that can be improved are - The road leading to temple from NH/SH can have proper sign boards and roads and traffic can be managed better. Parking lot can be maintained better. Drinking water taps doesn’t work properly.

The Hoysaleswara Temple in Halebeedu is truly marvelous! Every carving on the walls tells a story from the glorious Hoysala era, reflecting unmatched skill and devotion. Although a few parts have been damaged over time, the temple is now very well maintained. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it beautifully preserves the essence of ancient Indian art and history — definitely worth visiting!
Sri Hoysaleswara temple at Dwarasamudra (Halebeedu), is a World Heritage Site built at the apex of Hoysala art and architecture. Every inch of the temple has a story to tell, a sculpture to unveil, a witness to the glory of Hoysala era. Even a high resolution camera with all modern features cannot capture the beauty of the sculptures and carvings. This temple is a must visit site to admire the cultural and architectural mastery of the Hoysals.
Grand and magnificent temple! It's a well visited temple with full grandeur. We went on a public holiday and the crowd was huge. However the darshan inside was easy. This temple is huge so do not rush and give good time to soak in its beauty. The huge nandis are absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of parking available outside the temple.

I visited Chandramouleshwar Mahadev Temple holy place holy temple of Mahadev 🔱. This Temple is of hoysala architecture. There are 3 temples Chandramouleshwar, Veereswar, and Bakeswara. Temple is around 800 to 900 years old.
You can see, feel how rich our culture was and the contributions by our kings. There respect towards the art, religion and culture.
Skills of the artist sculptures there attention to minut details. Presenting the history very rich, detailed sequence, calculation while carving
Unfortunately most of the sculptures are damaged and are in the situation where it cannot be repaired
Temple is built with ancient hoysala architecture. The sculptures are carved beautifully with precision detailing. Located in arsikere , worth a visit when around hassan. The temple will be open from 6 am to 10 am in the morning and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the evening.

Great temple of hoysala architecture. Must visit for history buffs. I went early in the morning, at 7 am. The gate was open and there was no one inside. The priest was yet to arrive. But the environment was very peaceful and great to explore.
