Beautiful waterfall, especially in monsoon, but with the hanging bridge closed and fencing around, the overall view feels little restricted. But it’s good for people’s safety.

During the monsoon season (July to October), the river swells, offering a dramatic and awe-inspiring spectacle. 4. Shree Ambabai (Mahalaxmi) Temple, Kolhapur

Mentioned on
27 lists
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the heart of Kolhapur, the Shri Ambabai Temple, also known as the Mahalaxmi Temple, is a stunning 12th-century Hindu shrine that captivates visitors with its intricate sculptures and rich history. Revered as one of the Shakti Peethas or Dakshin Kashi, this temple holds immense spiritual significance for devotees seeking liberation from desires or fulfillment of their wishes.
Beautiful and divine temple with rich history. The idol of Ambabai is mesmerizing and the atmosphere inside is very peaceful. Well-maintained and clean. Gets very crowded on weekends and festivals, so early morning darshan is best. Parking can be difficult near the temple. Overall, a must-visit spiritual place in Kolhapur.
Bharati G — Google review
-Get down at main entrance, we mistakenly had dropped down backside gate. -Senior citizens are allowed to sit in the entrance if any large queue was there. -Inside temple, womens are separately in queues to have Darshan as its Mahalaxmi Temple. -Drinking water facility available when you come out of Darshan. -Several shops available inside for shopping devotional items. -Peda Prasad nearby exit of Darshan is the cheap and best which was sold by local guys. -Also, Laddu Prasad sold by Temple committee. -Best part is free Bhojanalaya as like in Shirdi was available and taste was very good. (Variety Rice, sabhji, butter milk, sweet.) -Timing 12PM to 3PM -This is located in backside of temple which is of 50m distance from temple. -Free Tokens are given in main entrance and backside gate. -Volunteers/Members inside Bhojanalaya strictly instructs all devotees to not waste food. One should complete his/her food and allowed to get up for handwash. - Plates for children were asked there parents before giving in order avoid wastage of food. - But this Bhojanalaya is present in 1st floor, which is a very big minus point for those where not able to step up. - Footwears are to be kept outside Bhojanalaya.
Arun B — Google review
Beautiful and very very old temple. Powerful vibes can be experienced. Crowded throughout the day. We had gone in the afternoon and early morning and both times the temple was crowded. We were blessed to have a security officer help us out of the blue as my mom couldnt stand and wait in the queue for long hours. Once inside you can feel the essence of an old temple and the idol is so so mesmerising! Truly blessed to have got a chance to visit the divine Mahalaxmi!

"The Mahalakshmi Ambabai Temple is one of the three and a half Shakti Peethas. 🛕 We reached the temple at 5:00 AM, and the early morning time, the pleasant atmosphere, and witnessing the goddess's worship and aarti made our hearts feel completely serene. 😊🌸 There is very little crowd at the temple in the morning, and this is when you get the good fortune of witnessing the goddess's worship and aarti. ☺️ Therefore, you should definitely visit the temple during the morning hours. 😊"

Visited Thoseghar Waterfall in monsoon — an absolutely stunning sight! The massive waterfall surrounded by lush greenery and mist creates a magical view. Well-maintained spot with parking and viewpoints. Must-visit monsoon destination near Satara! 🌧️🌿

Monsoon is Perfect time.

Excellent place to visit. Good waterfall in Sahyadri range near Satara. Walkways and stairs are well developed so you can have good views of waterfall. Entry fee is Rs 50 per person. If you want to see both falls you have to trek little more. Old age people who has difficulty in walking should avoid. Two water falls big and small. Big water fall can be seen from specially made overview platform. It's in valley and in rainy season you will enjoy this waterfall. Small water fall is from less height and you can go near falls. Cave behind waterfall is amazing. Enjoyed visit very much. Highly recommended during rainy season.
Sukumar S — Google review
Satara Thoseghar Waterfall is one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Satara and an absolute must-visit place for nature lovers. Surrounded by dense greenery and countless trees, the area offers a breathtaking view of both big and small waterfalls cascading beautifully down the cliffs. The sound of the flowing water combined with the peaceful forest atmosphere makes it a truly refreshing experience. The main viewpoint gives a clear sight of the tall, majestic waterfall, which looks even more stunning during or right after the monsoon. The smaller waterfall area is also very scenic, and they even offer professional photography near the water at an extra charge of ₹2000 — a nice option if you want memorable pictures. Entry tickets cost ₹50 per person, and it’s definitely worth every rupee for the view and experience you get. The place is generally well-maintained, but visitors should be cautious about monkeys, especially while walking toward the big waterfall. These monkeys can be aggressive and may try to snatch food or bags, so carrying a stick for safety is advisable. Overall, Thoseghar Waterfall is a peaceful yet adventurous destination that offers stunning scenery, fresh air, and a close connection with nature. When in Satara, this place is not to be missed — especially if combined with a visit to the nearby Chalkewadi Windmills for a perfect day trip.
Swapnil — Google review
The Thoseghar Waterfall near Satara, Maharashtra, is known for its beautiful series of cascades, and visitor reviews frequently praise its scenic charm. The site is noted for being well-maintained and offering a less-crowded experience, especially if you visit during the week or early in the morning. A well-managed and tranquil experience What sets Thoseghar apart is its ability to offer a peaceful communion with nature, a stark contrast to more heavily commercialized destinations. The management of the site is a significant reason for this. Orderly infrastructure: The site features well-constructed pathways and steps, which are safe and easy to navigate. An observation gallery with protective railings has been set up to prevent accidents and give visitors an excellent view of the main falls. Controlled access: There is a nominal entry fee that contributes to the site's upkeep, and access is managed by forest officials at the gate. This helps control the number of people on-site at any given time. Viewing areas: Separate viewpoints are designated for the main and smaller waterfalls, providing a clear and safe way to enjoy both spectacular sights. This reduces crowding in any single spot and enhances the overall visitor experience.
Piyush J — Google review
Thoseghar Waterfall in Maharashtra’s Satara district is a natural wonder made up of two major waterfalls, locally known as chota dabdaba and motha dabdaba (meaning small and large waterfalls, respectively). The pathway to the chota dabdaba is quite long and has several ups and downs, but the view is absolutely worth it. Entry to this waterfall is restricted as the water flows with great force, making it risky for visitors. The paths are not well maintained and can get slippery due to the mist and splashes from the falls. There’s a viewing deck for the motha dabdaba, from where you can soak in the breathtaking view. The site is maintained by the Satara Forest Department. Parking space and washrooms are available, though the washroom wasn’t lit during the evening hours, which can be unsafe. Recommendations: - Wear good-quality sports or trekking shoes - Elderly visitors should avoid the steeper paths - Carry a water bottle if needed - Walk carefully; avoid rushing or running - Don’t litter - Don’t pluck flowers or disturb the natural surroundings
Amaritpal K — Google review

Kaas plateau

Plateau
Nature & Parks
Geologic Formations
Kaas Plateau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Satara district of Maharashtra, is a stunning plateau formed from volcanic rocks. This picturesque destination is known for its vibrant wildflowers that bloom from September to October, creating a colorful carpet of natural beauty. The plateau receives heavy rainfall and gusty winds during the monsoon season, making it an ideal time to witness the breathtaking display of flowers. Many of these wildflowers are medicinal and unique to this area.
A must-visit natural wonder and a truly spectacular floral tapestry. A rare and precious ecological gem. Date of Visit: Mid-September (Peak Bloom Season) Purpose: Nature and Macro Photography The Experience: A Floral Masterpiece Kaas Plateau, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, fully lives up to its title as the 'Valley of Flowers of Maharashtra.' The experience is genuinely breathtaking. The barren lateritic plateau, which is dry for most of the year, is magically carpeted by an astonishing variety of wildflowers during the short post-monsoon window. What Makes it Special: The Floral Diversity: It’s not just one color—the plateau shifts hues daily. We saw vast stretches of the delicate yellow Smithia (often called the 'Mickey Mouse flower'), vibrant purple-pink Impatiens, tiny white Eriocaulon, and even unique carnivorous plants like Drosera Indica. For nature lovers and botanists, it is an absolute treasure trove, home to over 850 species, many of which are endemic. The Ambiance: The cool, misty weather typical of the late monsoon season enhances the entire atmosphere. Walking on the designated trails through the rolling hills, with the Kaas Lake glittering in the distance, is an experience of profound peace and natural beauty. The Conservation Effort: The local authorities have done an excellent job of protecting this fragile ecosystem. The strict rules—staying only on marked trails and the mandatory online booking with visitor limits—are necessary and appreciated for preserving the environment.

I visited the Kaas Plateau end of October. The flowering season was almost over, but i was not an inch disappointed. The valley is magical with the clouds streaming through it. It was truly a splendid experience, i will cherish for the rest of my life. The walk to the Kumudini lake with bring forth a freshness you have never felt earlier. Must visit if you are in Maharashtra.

A must visit World Heritage site..! I visited in second week of September. Drive on ghat road is very scenic. Stay overnight to enjoy the calmness and feel those energetic vibes of nature ir can be done in a day as well. Booked morning slot of 7 to 11 and reached parking area. Ample parking and food options both veg and non veg. Takes around 2 hours to roam around and admire the nature.
John P — Google review
We went there on the last day of the season after most flowers have withered, yet the place was heavenly. The crowd was almost non existent. The meadows were carpeted golden yellow. The staff was very cooperative and the facilities were good . A bus picks you up from the parking lot to the gates , from where an electric buggy drops you off inside . Here you are free to walk around and enjoy the park . The breeze was cooled and the the park was a lush green which made it a beautiful experience.
Mlee M — Google review
It's good, it's a land of 10 Sq Km. Having 800+ species of plants , different types of flowering plants are covered in huge areas. The plateau is formed by volcanic rock. The best time to visit this area is from post June to the mid September to experience nature. We visited in mid October and found a few flowers. We can call it wild plants. Visitors who stay past 4:30 p.m. often have a better chance of spotting wild animals, as many species become more active during the late afternoon.

"We visited this place for the first time and weren’t sure how much area there was to explore. At the entrance, horse riders offered to take us to 10–12 points, but honestly, only 2–3 of them are major spots that you can easily walk to within 1–2 km. If you enjoy horse riding, you can try it—but it’s quite expensive and not really necessary. The natural beauty here is excellent, especially at Table Point. Sunrise and sunset views are truly worth it!"

6 kms valley having historic relation with mahabharat. Where it is believed Pandavas spent their exile here. Pandavas footprints, caves, devils kitchen is here many movie shots were taken here. It's long plateau. Asias 2nd highest Volcanic Plateau. U cannot walk full plateau there are horses and carts which costs around 1400 to roam everywhere and they explain you story. Best to visit during sunset 🌇
Ravindra N — Google review
One of the best places to visit during the rainy season. Do not go for any guide or so just travel by urself they will only give information on which movie was shot where and which battle was fought and etc. If horse riding available go for it and bargain for it without fail, for 9 spots go for as low as 1200-1500. You will get some picturesque views if you travelling on low rainy days. Do not spend 20 rs on pandav caves, not worth it it's just a simple shiv bhagwan statue without any lights in cave. Note: from June horse riding is banned for three months due to the rainy season.

Wonderful geological structure which encompasses so much beauty around it that people simply get attracted towards it to relish in the beauty of this flat land. Walk on the table land, ride the horse cart or horse back, appreciate the landforms, observe the flora and fauna, click some memorable pictures and be grateful and feel lucky that you visited such a wonderful natural formation...
ECLECTIC A — Google review
Absolute picturesque. It has 9 points to visit. Ghodawalas will approach you right outside, you can either take a horse or walk on your own. If you take a horse then try to bargain cause they charge 3600Rs which is super expensive and not justified at all. We bargained to get the horse at 1300 for 6 points and rest 3 points we walked.

Visited yesterday. This is one the best places in mahabaleshwar. Need to pay entry fees to start journey before this point. After this you need to pay 50/- for parking. Try to visit this place in evening to get a good view of sunset. You can take horse ride, boat ride, game shows, activity games and some tasty food items. Try to take horse ride with photoshoot. . Main market and mapro garden is near from this. Good place for spending time. Boating charge 600 for 4 person for 30min.

Venna Lake is an ideal combination of nature, leisure, and light adventure, making it a must-see destination for families, couples, and solo visitors. There is no entry cost; you only pay for activities like as boats and rides. A tranquil lakeside surrounded by green hills, ideal for wandering, photography, and relaxing. Plenty of parking accessible near the entrance.

⭐ Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Venna Lake, Panchgani is an average tourist spot — good for a one-time visit, but not something you’d want to return to. The lake itself looks nice from a distance, but it’s extremely crowded, especially on weekends. You often have to wait for hours just to get a boat ride, and the entrance area gets very chaotic. During the rainy season, the place becomes filthy and muddy, and the hygiene is below average. The nearby horse stand adds to the mess — the area is dirty and full of people constantly chasing you for rides. They charge around ₹200 for just 500 meters, which is absolutely not worth it. Parking is another headache — very congested and disorganized. Overall, this is just one of those places you visit once to tick it off your list, not for the experience itself.
Ambkumar — Google review
It is one of the most scenic attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Beautiful lake surrounded by hills. Great for boat rides while watching the sunset. We went during May end , so the evening breeze by the lake was so soothing. Gets extremely crowded during peak tourist season. There are ample parking spots, but due to the rush of tourists, it is very difficult to find a parking spot nearby. I have seen families walk a considerable distance from their parking area to reach the lake. It all depends upon whether you get a parking or not , if you have a driver, they may drop you at a distance. Apart from this, the lake vicinity has different activities like boat riding , horse riding, etc, and way too many fast food joints selling all kinds of food and drinks. There are fruit vendors , toy vendors , and so many shop keepers all around. If you just want to sit by the lake and watch the sunset amidst all the cacophony , come a bit early and sit a little away from the main entrance point.

This lake is very beautiful. It would have been much better if there was no rain and fog. Boat ride was thrilling and the fun filled horse riding with my son. Plenty of stalls for street food like corn, tea, etc…

We went to Mahabaleshwar hoping to enjoy the rainy season. Packed all our rain gear, umbrellas, jackets, even plastic covers for bags. But as soon as we reached… the rain just disappeared! Not even a single drop! It was like the rain said, “Okay, my job is done. You guys take care now.” Instead, we were welcomed by thick clouds everywhere. Couldn’t see much ahead while driving – the fog was like “peekaboo!” every few minutes. But honestly, the cloudy weather made the whole place look magical. The valleys, trees, and hills covered in clouds looked straight out of a movie scene. We missed the rain, but the cool weather and peaceful vibes made up for it. Sitting on a hilltop with hot chai and roasted corn in that fog… pure bliss. It felt like the clouds came just to give us a cozy hug. So yeah, Mahabaleshwar didn’t give us rain, but it gave us something better — quiet, calm, and some unforgettable views. Highly recommend going there if you want a break from all the city noise. Just… don’t chase the rain. It’s faster than it looks!

Amazing journey, must visit in monsoon. But avoid night driving, visibility is very low in night. Can't see even 20 meter ahead. Otherwise it's just like experiencing heaven in monsoon.

The place is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Maharashtra. Surrounded by lush greenery, scenic valleys, and pleasant weather almost all year round, it’s perfect for a peaceful getaway. The viewpoints like Arthur’s Seat and Kate’s Point are stunning. However, weekends can get crowded and parking is sometimes a hassle. Still, a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.

My recent trip to Mahabaleshwar was truly an unforgettable experience and easily one of the most refreshing holidays I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the climate was absolutely perfect — cool, breezy, and soothing, just the way Mahabaleshwar is known for. The pleasant weather itself set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Table Land, a vast stretch of flat plateau offering breathtaking views and a calm, open atmosphere. Standing there, surrounded by nature and fresh air, felt incredibly peaceful. We also spent time at Mapro Garden, which was vibrant, lively, and filled with the aroma of fresh strawberries. Their products, food court, and greenery added a fun and refreshing touch to the day. Exploring the Mahabaleshwar market was another memorable experience. From local snacks and fresh produce to handicrafts and souvenirs, the market had a charming, traditional vibe that made strolling through it truly enjoyable. The viewpoints were equally captivating. Parsi Point offered stunning valley views that felt almost surreal, while Elephant Head Point stood out with its unique natural rock formation and scenic beauty. Each spot had its own charm and added a different flavor to the trip. Overall, this holiday was the perfect mix of nature, sightseeing, relaxation, and pleasant weather. Every moment felt soothing, refreshing, and memorable. Mahabaleshwar truly gave us an all-in-one holiday experience that I would happily relive anytime. 🌄✨

Plenty of good food options and cozy stays. Overall, a perfect place to relax, explore, and enjoy nature!

Visit during monsoon. When we visited there were rains but not heavy downpours. It should be drizzling not heavy rains, if there is heavy rain then the entire place is covered in fog, it would be difficult to drive in the fog in the hill station and also some view points will be closed. Hotels, restaurants and taxi service , bus services are available within Mahabaleshwar and to reach as well multiple bus or cab services available. Weekends will be too crowded, There are 3 temples at the hill top and they are a must visit.

👌✨Mahabaleshwar – Monsoon Bliss in the Hills! I visited Mahabaleshwar during the monsoon season, and it was one of the most refreshing experiences ever! The lush green hills covered in mist, cool breezy weather, and light drizzles made every moment magical. The clean, fresh mountain air instantly lifts your mood. Street food like hot corn, vada pav, and fresh strawberries made the rainy weather even more enjoyable. Local people are warm, polite, and always ready to help. Driving through the winding ghats was thrilling with scenic valley views at every turn. Whether you're a nature lover, a couple looking for peace, or a photographer — this place has something for everyone. The sound of waterfalls, the foggy viewpoints, and the calm vibes offer pure peace of mind. Highly recommended for a monsoon getaway that’s full of nature, flavor, and soulful moments!...✨🎊

Sights & Landmarks
Perched majestically in the Western Ghats, Pratapgad Fort, also known as the Fort of Valour, is a historical gem that dates back to the 1650s. Standing at an impressive altitude of 1080 meters, this fort not only offers breathtaking panoramic views but also serves as a significant site where the famous Battle of Pratapgad unfolded between Chatrapati Shivaji and Afzal Khan in 1659.
A solid place to visit. The fort is huge and the views from the top are amazing proper hills and greenery all around. Bit of a climb, but totally worth it. You’ll find small shops for snacks and chai on the way, which makes it even better. Gets a little crowded on weekends, but the vibe is nice. Good shoes, water bottle, and some patience that’s all you need.

With pride in every heartbeat and reverence in every step, summon a guide—and immerse yourself in the glorious legacy carved into the stones of this majestic monument of the Maratha Empire. Let Shivaji Maharaj’s spirit lead you through tales of valor, wisdom, and unbreakable resolve. This isn’t just history—it’s our heritage, our honor, our Hindavi Swarajya.!

We went to Pratapgad Fort with family. There is no ticket for anyone. It has historic significance. This fort was made by Shivaji when he was 16years old and it was the most smaller fort built by Shivaji. This fort has one ambey bhawani mandir and shivling and hanuman temple which has historical importance. There is also Afzal Khan grave . While you visit take guide he will explain you everything.

Pratapgad Fort is a must-visit historical destination near Mahabaleshwar. Built in the 17th century by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the fort holds immense cultural and historical significance. The moment you start climbing, you feel the aura of Maratha history around you. The fort is spread out with long pathways, sturdy walls, and several points of interest, including temples, bastions, and viewing spots. The view from the top is simply breathtaking, especially on a clear day when you can see the lush valleys and surrounding Sahyadri mountains. During the monsoon season, the greenery, mist, and cool breeze make it even more magical, although the paths can get slippery, so good footwear is a must. There are small stalls around the fort selling local snacks, lemon water, and tea, which add to the charm. It’s not a very tough trek, but it does require a bit of stamina, especially for those not used to climbing. Hiring a local guide can enhance the experience as they explain the stories of battles and the significance of each part of the fort. Key Attractions: Bhavani Mata Temple Watchtowers and bastions Historic battle points Overall, Pratapgad offers a perfect mix of history, nature, and adventure—a must-visit for history lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.
Jil B — Google review
🚩 Experience of Pratapgad Fort. The Pratapgad Fort reflects Maratha pride and military might. The fort is divided into two main parts: the upper part houses the Bhavani Mata Temple and other essential structures, while the lower part consists of long walls and bastions (fortresses' outposts). Ascent and Path The path leading up to the fort is extremely beautiful, offering captivating views of the surroundings. Food and beverages are sold at various spots along the way. Safety and Comfort You should wear comfortable shoes during the climb. This is because reaching the fort requires a bit of trekking, and the path on top of the fort is also uneven. Therefore, it is important to exercise caution while walking so that you do not slip. View from the Top Reaching the summit of the fort offers a spectacular experience. The view of the lush greenery all around and the distant landscape is very peaceful to behold. However, finding a parking spot can be a bit difficult on weekends.
Amisha K — Google review
Pratapgarh Fort is incredibly well maintained and truly worth every step of the climb. It is easily walkable, making the trek accessible for most visitors, and the views from the top are simply crazy—truly panoramic and breathtaking. The atmosphere inside the fort is palpable; everyone can feel a strong, positive energy during the walk. However, prospective visitors should plan ahead for a few logistical issues. There is a possibility of traffic jams on the road leading up to the fort, and finding parking during peak hours can be quite difficult. Additionally, be mindful of the resident monkeys, who can be a nuisance if you are carrying food items. Come prepared, and you will have a wonderful, energizing experience!
Abhijeet U — Google review
Its well maintained and worth every step. Its easily walkable and view is crazy. There's not ample space for parking so adjust accordingly. It gets very foogy by the evening and advised to carry a torch or phone with sufficient battery as there are no street lights and power cuts are frequent. The fort , the view on the top is unimaginable. Mesmerizing Jai bhawani , Jai shivaji 🚩

The beach is beautiful with less crowd. The problem is that the sand is black and, at times, polluted due to fishing boats oil discharge. The beach has lots of water sports activities compared to few years ago. The tanga ride is good. Moreover, the water is not deep and one can safely go little forwards. Unfortunately, no life guards despite so many tourists.

Ladghar Beach in Dapoli is a clean and beautiful beach with peaceful surroundings. It’s usually not crowded, which makes it perfect for a quiet and relaxing visit. The calm waves and scenic views, especially at sunset, are truly enjoyable. You can also enjoy horse and camel rides along the shore, adding a fun touch to your visit. Currently, the road leading directly to the beach is closed due to construction, so you’ll need to park your vehicle a little farther away and walk the rest of the distance. There aren’t any food stalls around, so it’s a good idea to carry your own snacks and water.

Murud Beach is another wonderful coastal destination in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. This beach is known for its golden sands, gentle waves, and the historic Murud Janjira Fort situated just off the coast. Visitors can relax on the beach, take a boat ride to explore the fort, or indulge in water sports like parasailing and banana boat rides. It's a great place to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Arabian Sea.
Sweetie K — Google review
Murud Beach is perfect if you're looking for a mix of relaxation and activity. It’s a wide, sandy beach with enough space to walk, play, or just chill by the waves. The water is usually clean, and the beach is well-maintained, especially near the main entrance areas. You’ll find decent washroom facilities close to the parking zones — they’re usable, though not always spotless. Getting here is simple via road; it’s well-connected from Alibaug and nearby towns. For stays, there are plenty of hotels and homestays nearby, ranging from budget to premium. Evenings get a bit lively with stalls, horse rides, and families enjoying themselves, so it’s not too quiet — but not overly crowded either. If you're planning a short beach getaway, Murud won't disappoint.

*Update : As tourism grows, ignorant tourists have started running the beach. Check my timelapse video to see the filth! Beautiful Beach with water sport activities available. This beach also is supposed to be the safest on the coast with no rocks and a long stretch which doesn't go deeper than 4 feet for quiet much distance. The village has its committee that cleans the beach regularly and thats why they charge daily toll to the tourists.

Clean beach, happy to see people respecting hygiene and not littering everywhere. Crowded: there are more people here as compared to other beaches of Dapoli. Water sports: not much, the waves do not support surfing Rides : Camel, horse cart, banana rides, boat rides, speed boat available here with average safety and hygiene standards. Food: saw many restaurants around the beach. Not so great option for full course meal but tea and snacks options are available. Parking: saw people parking at the beach. To avoid hustle, we parked about 50 meters before the beach in a resort parking (charged 100 rs per car)

Rajgad should be the first in life at least once. Chhatrapati Shivarai spent 25 years of his life in this fort. While walking on the fort, we feel like Maharaj... Those walls, fortifications, machi all of them have been touched by Maharaj while walking around the fort. I traveled very happily for 12 hours continuously and was not tired at all, maybe it was the greatness of Maharaja's Rajgad that I didn't feel tired at all... The fun of staying at the fort was unique and the sunrise at Suvela Machi was the first or the world more beautiful than this. realize that nothing is

Rajgad Fort is one of the most beautiful and historic forts in Maharashtra. It was the first capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Swarajya, which makes it very important in Maratha history. The fort is huge and spread out with strong walls, gates, and watch points. The view from the top is breathtaking – you can see lush green valleys, mountains, and nearby forts like Torna. The trekking experience is amazing but a bit challenging, especially in the rainy season when the fort is covered with fog and greenery. Carry enough water and snacks because the climb can take time. Overall, Rajgad Fort is a perfect place for history lovers, trekkers, and nature enthusiasts. Visiting it feels like going back into the glorious Maratha era.

Rajgad Fort is not just stones—it’s where Shivaji Maharaj lived, fought, and dreamed. The 3-4 hour trek through stunning Sahyadri hills made me feel the living spirit of our maharaj. Meeting a fellow trekker from Pune who shared the same love for this place made it even more special. Rajgad is our proud heritage, alive in every tree and rock. Everyone must visit to truly feel our history in their hearts.

Photography and videography are permitted, and there are local shops selling refreshments such as coconut water, ice cream, faluda, barapaw, Meggie, and tea corner.
Very beautiful view, beautiful sunset, beautiful temple, rck formations, small trek everything is there, 3-4 hours required to explore all above, visit in evening

Wonderful beach, I went there with my family. There was no rush at all. It was a very clean beach. There were some food stalls. There were some rides I enjoyed a jet ski ride. But there was not a changing room. So, my concern is that they should provide at least a common changing room for females. Otherwise, the overall beach was nice. There was a temple also. One more thing, there are no life gaurds for safety. May they be available at season to season.

Harihareshwar Beach is a quiet and clean place. The sand is soft, and the sea is calm. It’s a nice spot to sit, relax, and enjoy nature. You can go for a peaceful walk or just watch the waves. The sunset here is really beautiful. It’s not too crowded, so you get some quiet time. The temple nearby also makes it feel special. Good place for a one-day trip with family or friends.

Harihareshwar Beach is one of those hidden gems on the Konkan coast that offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, spirituality, and tranquility. Whether you're looking to unwind, explore, or just escape the chaos of city life, this beach is a refreshing retreat. The beach is clean, uncrowded, and peaceful, especially compared to more commercialized destinations. The sound of the waves, the soft golden sand, and the view of the surrounding hills make it a perfect spot to relax and reflect. One of the unique aspects of Harihareshwar is its spiritual vibe, thanks to the Harihareshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located right next to the beach. The pradakshina path around the temple, which circles the rocky coastline, offers a scenic walk – best done during low tide. Sunrises and sunsets here are magical. There are also local homestays and small resorts nearby that offer a comfortable stay and homely food, giving you an authentic coastal experience.

It's beautiful beach can mesmerize anyone who visits this place. The prominent presence of Lord Kalvairav Temple can fill your heart with divinity and internal joy if you are mindful and aware of it.

Sinhagad Fort, located on a hill rising 760 meters above sea level near Pune, is a historic fortress known for the Battle of Sinhagad in 1671. It serves as a memorial for Tanaji and the tomb of Rajaram. The site features military stables, breweries, and a temple dedicated to the goddess Kali. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from this hilltop fort, making it popular for weekend getaways and monsoon trekking.
Excellent location to visit. One must visit during weekdays to avoid crowds. Bottles of water and rainy wear are a must. Black fort walls and structures shrouded in mist or wisp of clouds with occasional misty rain or torrent will create a surreal ambience. Prepare for a good walk with waterproof tracking shoes. This fort is located about 40 km from Pune city. There's a nominal parking charge of Rs 50. You'll find small food stalls around and within the fort premises. The views from the fort are stunning, and its rich history and architecture are evident. The fort spans a vast area, making it an ideal spot to spend hours with family and friends.Amazing place with rich history and scenic views. The trek is enjoyable, with scenic trails and cool breeze. Don't miss the local snacks at the top perfect after the climb. A must - visit near Pune!

The trek or road climb is fun and not too long. The view from the top is amazing, especially during monsoon when everything turns lush green. Clouds move around you, sometimes covering everything, and the wind feels like it can lift you up. It’s peaceful, refreshing, and worth the trip. Food stalls at the top serve authentic rural Maharashtrian food—pithla-bhakri, curd, kanda bhaji, and lime sharbat. After the climb, it tastes even better. It’s a perfect weekend spot for nature lovers, trekkers, history fans, or anyone needing a break from the city.

Nice place to visit for one day. Good for family, even for children. Better to visit in the morning and avoid sundays. Nice trek if you want to else Parking can be done at the top of fort. Not steep or dangerous driving. Can visit even by 2 wheeler. Need to climb stairs aprox 200 after parking. Washrooms available at parking and at the top also. Nice views. There is lot of eateries for small snacks neare stairs and at the top. Small reasturants where you can enjoy home made lunch made by local people. Food Not too expensive. Enjoyable place. You can take your own food also. Better to carry water.

I’ve been to Sinhgad Fort twice once in winter and once during the monsoon and both visits were unforgettable. The views are absolutely stunning! During the rains, the entire place turns magical with fog rolling in, clouds blanketing the mountains, and the fresh green grass swaying beautifully in the wind. One of the best spots near Pune to enjoy nature, weather, and peaceful views. A must-visit!

- I visited Sinhagad in November and it was really an awesome experience. - There are PMT buses after every 1 hour from Shaniwarwada to Sinhagad [convenient to take before 1pm]. - Two wheelers also available for a day to ride nearby area. - Make sure to meet the locals, eat the food on Sinhgad and feel the power of Maratha on fort. - Very beautifull and easy fort to climb and convenient for children also.

The trek is moderately challenging but totally worth it for the scenic sunrise and cool breeze at the top. Local food stalls serving authentic pithla bhakri add to the experience. Nestled atop a stunning hilltop plateau, Fort Raigad is an ancient marvel that beckons travelers with its rich history and breathtaking views. Once the capital of the Maratha kingdom under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, this fort stands at an impressive altitude of around 2700 feet in the Western Ghats. Accessible via a single path, it features fascinating ruins of towers, temples, and reservoirs that tell tales of a bygone era.
Jay Shivrai 🙏🏻 Raigad Fort is one of the most iconic and historically important forts in Maharashtra. The place truly brings to life the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort is located on a hill surrounded by beautiful valleys, and the view from the top is simply breathtaking. You can either trek up or take the ropeway, which saves time and offers a great aerial view. The fort is well-maintained, and places like Jagdishwar Temple, Shivaji Maharaj’s Samadhi, and the royal court area are must-see spots. Every corner has a story connected to the Maratha Empire. It’s best to visit early in the morning or in winter to avoid the heat. Local guides are available and help you understand the fort’s history better. There are also small food stalls and a museum near the base that add to the overall experience. Overall, Raigad is not just a tourist spot but a proud reminder of our heritage. A must-visit for anyone who loves history, nature, and the spirit of Shivaji Maharaj.

An unforgettable experience at Raigad Fort I recently visited Raigad Fort in Maharashtra, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The moment you start the climb, you can feel the history and the strength of this place. The views from the top are breathtaking — endless green valleys, cool breeze, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes the entire effort worth it. The fort is well-maintained, and the ropeway option makes it convenient for anyone who wants to save time or energy. The historical spots like the Queen’s Chamber, Jagdishwar Temple, and the Coronation Point of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj truly make you imagine how grand the fort must have been in its era. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination for anyone who loves trekking, history, and scenic landscapes. I’d definitely recommend Raigad Fort to every traveler exploring Maharashtra.

What an incredible place! The fort carries deep Maratha history and offers stunning views from the top. The trek takes around 1.5–2 hours, but every step feels rewarding. Ropeway option is also available for an easy ride. The atmosphere is calm, especially in the morning, and the fort is well maintained. Don’t miss Jagadishwar Temple and Shivaji Maharaj’s samadhi point.Recommend carrying water, wearing good shoes, and visiting during monsoon or winter for the best experience. Truly a proud and peaceful place to explore! 🚩🇮🇳

The first trek of my life....the view after climbing the stairs for nearly 3 hours was worth it. There is a lord Shiva temple alongside the Samadi of Shivaji Maharaj. It was pure bliss...peace at its best. Simply put the trek was amazing. The best time to start is early morning. The sunrise is worth watching
Linu M — Google review
Had a fabulous experience visiting the fort. Appreciate the Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj for his historical places among the Raigadh fort. About staying experience at private hotel was worse, the local people have made rooms on their roof and charging with very heavy cost so better to plan like that u can reach at early morning and go by night. For a ticket I started waiting in s queue in the early morning at 5am and the counter opened at 7pm so there is no arrangements for seating or coupons systems. Online tickets are consumed very fast so difficult to get it. Government must give more focus on improvement.
Prashant P — Google review
This is a well known fort for the Great Maratha Hindu king Sri Chatrapati Shiva Maharaj from where he had ruled the kingdom. At present some part of the fort still available in good shape.
Ashutosh G — Google review
Great place for trecking and scenic views mixed with historical architecture. You can get a cable car in case you dont wanna treck 2000+ steps. Please visit during winter or spring for best scenic views. In summer waterfalls dry up and during rainy season clouds could hinder visibility as was the case with me. Try to reach the place as early as possible in the morning as the night travel could be very risky on the road full of valleys.

Diveagar Beach

Diveagar Beach is a hidden gem along the stunning Konkan Coast, nestled in Maharashtra's Raigad district, just 170 kilometers from Mumbai. This picturesque destination boasts an enchanting blend of lush greenery and sparkling azure waters, complemented by soft white sands that invite relaxation. Unlike many flat beaches, Diveagar features wavy shores and strong tides from the Arabian Sea, making it a fantastic spot for sea surfing enthusiasts.
If you ever feel like life’s getting a bit too loud, Diveagar Beach is the kind of place that softly tells you, “It’s okay, breathe.” The first thing you notice is the silence—not the awkward kind, but the calming kind. The kind where the sound of the waves and rustling trees become your background music. The beach is wide, clean, and mostly untouched. No flashy lights, no chaos—just you, the sand, and the sea. I sat there for hours without checking my phone. I didn’t even realize how much I needed that stillness. Families were playing, a few kids running around, and some locals selling snacks with warm smiles—but nothing felt rushed or commercial. Just simple moments, the kind you wish you could pause. The sunset hit different here. It wasn’t just pretty—it felt emotional, like nature was wrapping up the day with a soft goodbye. Diveagar isn’t a “tourist attraction.” It’s a gentle escape. It doesn’t try to impress you—it just lets you be. And sometimes, that’s all you really need.

Beautiful beach and very long. It's a little bit flat, but good waves even during low tides. Lots of fun activities at the beach too. Fantastic beach to visit.
Ashutosh D — Google review
Calm and peaceful beach. But cleanness needs to be maintained by government as well as visitors. Nearby food vendors are too kind and pricing is also decent.
Viral ( — Google review
I recently visited Diveagar Beach, and it turned out to be one of the cleanest beaches I’ve seen. It wasn’t too crowded when I went, though I’ve heard it gets quite busy on weekends. There are plenty of water sports to enjoy — parasailing costs around ₹1200 per person, while most other activities range between ₹200–₹400. The weather was rainy during my visit, which made the surroundings even more peaceful and beautiful. I really enjoyed spending my weekend there. If you’re looking for a calm two-day getaway by the sea, Diveagar Beach is definitely worth visiting. One tip — choose your restaurant carefully, as the food can be a bit pricey and not always worth the cost.

Nice place for one or two night stay with family. There are many hotels of different range nearby, however it is suggested to do advance booking. The beach is beautiful, excellent for photography, their are water sports available for all age groups. Food joints are available and you can enjoy authentic konkani sea food here.

Diveagar Beach, Maharashtra – A Peaceful Coastal Retreat Diveagar Beach, located along the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, is a serene and relatively less crowded beach, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Known for its natural beauty, the beach stretches over a long shoreline with soft sand that has a slightly blackish tint, giving it a unique look compared to other beaches in the region. The waves here are gentle, and the beach remains clean and well-maintained, making it ideal for a relaxing walk or spending time with family and friends. The best time to visit is during the evening, when the sun begins to set. The sky turns golden, and the cool sea breeze makes the atmosphere incredibly calming and picturesque. Sunset views at Diveagar are truly a treat for photographers and nature lovers. There are a few stalls nearby selling coconut water, snacks, and local delicacies. While not overly commercialized, the beach still offers basic amenities and a laid-back vibe. It’s a great spot for people who want to escape the crowd and enjoy the simple beauty of the sea. Overall, Diveagar Beach is a hidden gem in Maharashtra — perfect for evening visits, soulful walks, and unwinding by the Arabian Sea. Highly recommended for a peaceful beach day.

Murud-Janjira Fort

Sights & Landmarks
Murud-Janjira Fort is a stunning marine fortress dating back to the 15th century, boasting old canons and 19 bastions. Situated on an island 500m offshore, it is the most magnificent of the forts along the Konkan coastline. Built by the Siddis in 1571, descendants of slaves from Africa, this imposing citadel served as the capital of a princely state. Visitors are drawn to its magnificent architecture and rich history of battles fought here.
Great fort in middle of sea Need to go via boat during high tide , some say we can walk over if there is lil water Great and two of the biggest old canons can be seen here and multiple small canons There is lake inside and can get a great view from all the sides. Ferry tickets can be bought from the office on the shore.

it's ancient structure, the top of the fort has good view and very wind breezy cool air. Apart from that it's mostly broken structures inside. It's long wait on weekends where you have to wait in boat for half an hour at least.
Sumit R — Google review
Murud Janjira Fort is a fascinating and historic place located in the middle of the sea near Murud Beach. The boat ride to reach the fort is quite an experience, offering beautiful views of the ocean and the fort as you get closer. The fort itself is very impressive, built with strong stone walls that have stood firm for centuries despite the constant waves and weather. Inside, you can explore old cannons, gates, and ruins that tell stories of its rich Maratha and Siddi history. The place gives a real sense of how powerful the fort must have been in its time. It’s best to visit in the morning or evening to avoid the heat and crowds. The boat staff are helpful, but safety instructions could be better organized. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, or just a scenic sea experience. The combination of natural beauty and historical importance makes Murud Janjira one of the most unique forts in Maharashtra
Shekhar V — Google review
Janjira Fort is one of the strongest marine forts in India, famous for being unconquered despite several attacks by the Portuguese, British, and Marathas. Built over 350 years ago by the Siddis, this fort stands majestically in the middle of the sea, about 2 km from the Murud coast.
Nitin S — Google review
Must visit Fort in Maharashtra. The boat will drop you at the entrance. The boats have a schedule where they pick you up after 45 minutes. So you get to see the important points quickly before returning. We didn't get food and water from the fort. We can see two fresh water lakes in the middle of the salty sea.
ANISHA S — Google review
Very nice way to spend half a day, immersed in the history of the fort. The boatmen extort money, but if you can overlook that, then it's worth the info the give.
Ravi V — Google review
Visiting Janjira Fort is like stepping back into history. The fort stands strong in the middle of the Arabian Sea, and the boat ride to reach it is an adventure in itself. As you walk through its massive gates and explore the ruins, you can still feel the grandeur and strength of this once “unconquered fort.” The huge cannons, freshwater ponds inside the fort, and the endless sea views make the experience unforgettable. It’s amazing to think how such a powerful structure was built right in the sea centuries ago. The place can get hot during the day, so carrying water and wearing comfortable shoes is a must. Overall, Janjira is not just a fort it’s a living story of resilience, history, and the beauty of the Konkan coast.
Shivkumar K — Google review
An incredible slice of Indian history still remaining in an iconic condition well worth a visit by boat , for about an hour onshore. The skill and craftsmanship are classically inspiring . Get someone to guide your visit or at least find out more about the long history of this Island fortress , there was an original tunnel connection under the seabed back to the mainland as a last ditch escape route for the people . Ferry tickets and fort visitation are separate tickets but well worth it for such a rare piece of history . Sailing over and back by boat was very chilled out 😎

Pawna Lake, a stunning artificial reservoir nestled in the heart of Maharashtra's Sahyadri mountain range, is an idyllic retreat for those looking to escape the chaos of urban life. Just a short drive from Pune and Mumbai, this serene lake is perfect for camping, picnics, and photography enthusiasts eager to capture its breathtaking views. The area also boasts nearby historical sites like fortress ruins that add a touch of adventure to your visit.
My friends and I visited this place recently. The first thing that you will notice once you are there is the beautiful water of the lake. The place was really quiet and filled with nice bird 🕊️ sounds. There are multiple camps set up at the side of the lake. At the camps there were many activities such as badminton, cricket, caram board, chess, archery, etc. also there were boat rides inside the lake. The sunset at the lake was a must watch thing. The only thing was the worst of the place was food as there were no food stalls and the camp we stayed in didn't provide us good food. Which was only bummer. Rest all was great. I would really recommend this place for couples, family and friends. Also it can be a good spot for a picnic. All and all had a great time. NOTE: Carry something dry to eat as there is no shop near the place of camp.

Best for Camp piece full place enjoy and relax. It is a very good place, you will get good roads to reach there, you may have to climb a little mountain, it is good for nature activities, you just have to find a good camp which is near the lake, you can also take a bath in it

📍 Pawna Lake – Maharashtra’s Most Loved Camping Spot! ⛺🌌 If you’re looking for a peaceful lakeside escape with starry nights, crackling bonfires, and pure mountain vibes — Pawna Lake is your perfect getaway. Just 2 hours from Pune and 3 hours from Mumbai, this serene lake is surrounded by forts, greenery, and scenic hills. 🏞️ I visited Pawna recently, and I can confidently say — it’s one of the best chill spots to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature or your people 🧘‍♂️✨ --- 🛏️ Camping Experience The best way to enjoy Pawna is to stay overnight in a tent. Most campsites offer a full package — including dinner, BBQ, breakfast, music, games, and sometimes kayaking or boating. 🔥 Imagine this: Bonfire + friends + music + stargazing + sound of water = perfect night vibes! Tents are usually lakeside and come with sleeping mats, pillows, and common clean washrooms. (Pro tip: Check reviews before booking!) --- 🍽️ Food & BBQ The typical dinner includes veg/non-veg thali with chapati, rice, dal, and sabji. Some camps offer BBQ starters like paneer tikka or chicken kababs. Nothing fancy — but fresh, local, and satisfying under the stars! 😋🌌 ☕ Don’t forget the evening tea and morning poha – simple but soulful. --- 🛶 Things to Do Around Pawna: ✔️ Chill by the lake with your feet in the water ✔️ Enjoy boating or kayaking at select camps ✔️ Play outdoor games – volleyball, cricket, archery ✔️ Visit nearby forts: Tung, Tikona, Lohagad, Visapur 🏯 ✔️ Ride around scenic roads for cool photo spots 📸 --- 🗺️ How to Reach: From Pune: Via Paud Road or Old Mumbai-Pune Highway From Mumbai: Via Lonavala (exit at Kamshet) 4-wheelers and bikes easily accessible. Roads are okay, but a bit patchy near the lake — drive slowly. --- 📝 My Tips: 🔹 Book a campsite with good reviews (some allow pets too!) 🔹 Carry warm clothes – it gets cold at night, even in summer 🔹 Don’t play loud music after 10 PM – respect the silence 🔹 Bring a power bank & flashlight 🔋 🔹 Avoid monsoon if you don’t like muddy areas --- 🔥 My Opinion: Pawna Lake is not just about water and tents — it’s an experience. You disconnect from the noise and connect with peace. Whether you're going with friends, your partner, or solo, the calm vibes and natural beauty leave you feeling refreshed.

Lovely beach, filled with white sands glowing sky amidst dark blue Arabian Sea. From Nagaon it took about an hour to reach Kashid city. Beach has parking place. As you take a turn and enter Kashid, you get to view the beach surrounded by black stones. There are camel and horse rides organised in the beach, while motor rides and bullock horse rides are popular. Surrounded by lush greenery, mountains, mangroves this beach is popular for sunset. There are shops for shoppers and street food for foodies. A beach not to miss visiting from Alibaug.

Coastel road is too good to drive. 30 rupees cost for a bucket of water after sea bath. Photogenic pics. Liquor is not available, carry your own. 11 to 3 pm time is too hot. After sunset should leave the beach(no public transport). Sunrise time is so good. Nature loving person will like it. Water sports like jets ski, banana ride, dragon ride also available.

The morning parade brings the park to life with characters and music, and the evening light and water show is a perfect way to end the day—really well done and full of energy. The quality of food inside the park restaurants is also surprisingly good, with decent options for both kids and adults. Overall, it's a complete day of fun, adventure, and entertainment.

Imagica truly feels magical the moment you enter. Kids and adults enjoy rides equally Water flume ride = guaranteed fun & getting soaked Classic carousel = perfect for kids Indoor shooting ride = friendly competition Evening lighting = breathtaking The lake area becomes a photo-perfect spot after sunset The park is beautifully maintained, vibrant, and designed for family fun. --- ⚠️ Important Note: Crowd & Waiting Time Because we went during the Diwali peak break, the park was fully packed. Popular rides had 60–120 minute waiting Long queues even at food counters Only limited rides could be covered in one day Conclusion: Holiday seasons, long weekends, and school breaks = heavy crowd. --- 🎟️ Most Important Tip: Book EXPRESS Tickets If you’re going during a busy period (Diwali, New Year, summer vacation, long weekends), Express Tickets are strongly recommended. Yes, they cost extra — but they: ✔️ Reduce waiting time by 70–80% ✔️ Let you enjoy more rides ✔️ Save energy (especially with kids) ✔️ Make the trip stress-free Honestly, during festive seasons, Express Pass is the smartest and most valuable choice. --- 🕒 Best Time to Visit Imagica ✔️ Best Days (Less Crowd) Weekdays Non-holiday periods April-end to early June (exam season) 2–3 days after festivals ✔️ Best Time to Reach Park opens at 10:00 AM Recommended arrival: 9:15–9:30 AM (for parking & security) ✔️ Start Your Day With These Rides (shorter lines in morning) Nitro Deep Space Rajasaurus Scream Machine ✔️ Evening Parade & lighting show around 6 PM Lake area is perfect for photos --- 🧭 Planning Tips Before You Go ✔️ Book tickets online 2–3 days earlier ✔️ Carry water bottles, cap, and power bank ✔️ For kids, a stroller is helpful ✔️ Carry a rain poncho in monsoon season ✔️ Outside food is not allowed, but food combos are available inside --- 🏁 Final Verdict — Should You Visit? Absolutely YES! Imagica is one of the best family theme parks in India with amazing rides, beautiful ambiance, and great entertainment. But remember: ✔️ Holiday Season = Heavy crowd ✔️ Express Ticket = Best investment ✔️ Weekdays = Best overall experience Plan smart, go early, and your Imagica trip will turn into an unforgettable memory for your family!

A Magical Day at Imagica, With a Word of Advice! Our family visited Adlabs Imagica on October 21st, and what a day it was! From the moment we walked in, the park felt vibrant. The kids (and adults!) loved the rides. We had a blast getting soaked on the water flume, taking a spin on the classic carousel, and getting competitive on the indoor shooting ride. As evening fell, the park completely transformed with beautiful lights, making the whole place feel truly magical, especially the area around the lake. However, we need to share a very important tip. Our visit coincided with the peak Diwali festival break, and we weren't the only ones with the idea! The park was packed with families, which created a fantastic, festive atmosphere but also meant one thing: a huge rush. This led to a massive number of people in the queues and, as you'd expect, very long waiting times for all the popular rides. We still managed to have a great time and make wonderful memories (the pictures prove it!), but the waiting definitely took up a big part of our day. So, here is our number one piece of advice for anyone planning to visit Imagica during a busy period like Diwali, a long weekend, or any school holiday: It is highly advised to book the Express tickets. It might cost extra, but it will save you hours of standing in line and let you enjoy far more of the amazing attractions the park has to offer. Overall, a fantastic park for family fun, but plan smart during the holidays!

Aqua Imagica is the perfect mix of thrill and fun! The high-speed slides, wave pool, and lazy river make the whole day exciting. The park is clean, well-organized, and the staff is very helpful. Food options are good and there are plenty of places to relax in between rides. A great place to enjoy with friends and family definitely worth the trip!

Imagica is a really good place to visit with friends and family. Wide variety of rides. Loved deep space ride, it's dark like space with starry ceiling and the speed of 200km/hour the twist and turns will surely challenge your brain equilibrium. Loved it the most. Then nitro roller coaster 160km/hour was amazing too. Gold rush with the speed of 80km/hour is at 3rd rank for me after Deep space and nitro. I for india, Mr india, salimghadh/ banghadh, were good too. Dead drop was a slight disappointing. Chota Bheem ride for kids, sloch monster were good for kids. Dancer / performer's were good treat. The water fountain show at the end of the day was soothing.

Alibaug Beach, located in the coastal town of Alibaug in Maharashtra, is a popular weekend destination for tourists, especially from Mumbai and Pune. Known for its scenic beauty, calm waters, and historical landmarks, the beach offers a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and culture. Golden Sands and Clean Shoreline: Alibaug Beach features soft, blackish sand and a relatively flat shoreline, making it ideal for long beach walks, family picnics, and sunset views. Breathtaking Sunsets: The view of the sun setting over the Arabian Sea is one of the highlights for every tourist. It’s a photographer’s delight and a peaceful moment for travelers looking to unwind. Scenic Horse Cart Rides: A unique experience on the beach is the traditional horse cart rides along the shore, loved by both kids and adults. Fort View and Adventure: From the beach, you can spot the historic Kolaba Fort, located around 1 km into the sea. During low tide, tourists can walk or take a horse cart to reach it and explore its ancient ramparts, freshwater wells, and temple. Water Sports: Banana boat rides, jet skiing, and parasailing are popular among adventure seekers. Seafood and Local Cuisine: Several food stalls and restaurants nearby offer delicious Konkani and Maharashtrian dishes, especially fresh seafood. Nearby Attractions: Visit other nearby beaches like Nagaon, Kashid, and Varsoli, or explore the temples and historical sites around Alibaug town. By Ferry: The quickest and most scenic route from Mumbai is via ferry from Gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty, followed by a short drive or bus ride to Alibaug. By Road: Alibaug is about 95 km from Mumbai and 140 km from Pune. Buses, private taxis, and self-drive cars are easily available. Best Time to Visit The best time to visit Alibaug Beach is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing and beach activities.

⚠️ Disappointing Experience at Alibag Beach Our visit to Alibag Beach was quite disappointing. The place was extremely crowded, with food stalls, rides, and people everywhere — it felt chaotic, and there was barely any space to relax or enjoy the beach. The parking situation was terrible, and there seemed to be no proper crowd management or supervision by the authorities. Even though the area has been recently renovated, the beach was littered with food waste and not maintained well. Overall, it’s not a place I would recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful or clean beach experience. There are much better, quieter beaches nearby like Nandgaon or Kashid that offer a more relaxing atmosphere. 🌊🚫

Beautiful beach, lots of water activities. We tried the speed boat and enjoyed it! It was quite crowded when we visited. We also went at night and loved the cold breeze. You can walk to Kolaba Fort during low tide (7 am to 1 pm), but we missed it.

📍 Alibaug Beach, Maharashtra 🌊 – A Perfect Coastal Escape Just a Few Hours from Mumbai & Pune! If you're craving a peaceful yet fun getaway with the sound of waves, fresh seafood, and endless sunset views, then Alibaug Beach is your calling! 😍 I recently visited this beautiful coastal town, and trust me — the vibe here is unmatched. It’s the perfect blend of beach fun, historic forts, seafood, and chill moments with your gang or even solo. 🧘‍♂️🌴 --- 🌅 Beach Vibes & More: Alibaug beach is flat and wide, perfect for long walks and photography 📸. The black sand adds a unique charm, and the cool breeze makes it ideal even during hot months. During low tide, you can literally walk to Kolaba Fort – which sits in the middle of the sea! 🏰 🌊 Pro Tip: Don’t miss the sunset here — it’s absolutely magical. The sky turns into a painting of orange, pink, and purple... pure peace 🌇✨ --- 🍤 Food & Local Delights: Seafood lovers, this place is heaven! 😋 From freshly fried pomfret to spicy prawn curries and soul-satisfying solkadhi — the local Malvani cuisine is a must-try. There are many beachside stalls and restaurants nearby like Sanman Hotel — known for authentic thalis 🥘 --- 📝 Things to Do: ✔️ Jet Ski, Banana Boat Rides & Parasailing for thrill lovers 🚤 ✔️ Visit Kolaba Fort during low tide ✔️ Check out Varsoli Beach (cleaner & calmer!) ✔️ Try local coconut water and kokum drinks 🥥 ✔️ Book a cozy beachside stay or Airbnb cottage 🛏️ --- 🚗 How to Reach: From Mumbai: Ferry from Gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty ⛴️, then 30-min drive From Pune: Around 3.5-4 hours by car via Tamhini or Mumbai-Goa Highway --- 🧠 My Opinion: Alibaug isn’t just a beach… it’s a feeling. It gives you that small-town calm, coastal charm, and some epic photo moments. Great for weekend getaways, romantic trips, or even solo detoxes 🧘‍♂️✨

Alibaug beach is a popular destination in Maharashtra known for its clean, blackish coastline and views of Kolaba Fort. Activities include walking, sunbathing, buggy rides, and visiting the nearby Ganpati temple and the historic fort. It is easily accessible from Mumbai and serves as a lively hub for locals and tourists, with numerous food stalls and a well-built platform for safe enjoyment of the sea, though it lacks facilities for motorized water sports.
ChandraShekhar P — Google review
"Not worth visiting. The beach is extremely dirty and overcrowded. With a ₹50 entry fee, it feels like a waste, especially when there are many cleaner and more peaceful beaches nearby. I’d recommend exploring other options in the area."

Alibaug Beach is a popular coastal getaway near Mumbai, known for its clean sands, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere. The beach is ideal for a relaxing stroll, enjoying sunsets, and light water activities. While it's not the best for swimming due to occasional rocky patches, its charm lies in the tranquil vibe and easy access from the city. Local snacks and nearby forts add to the experience.

Excellent beach other than Kashid. The water however does not seem very inviting for a dip. Not very clean as compared to Kashid. Long beach with lots of white sand and breeze. Lots of activities to do like Cycling, banana boat and other water sports. Ends of the beach offer an amazing strech of sand for a quiet walk by the sea. Almost completed my step count on the beach :) The food on the shacks and shops near by is amazing too. We tucked in to some great Prawns and Surmai fry at a good price. Saw some kind of a snake on the beach too !

Charlotte Lake, also known as Sharlott Lake, is a serene reservoir located 2 kilometers from Matheran Railway Station in Maharashtra. It is a popular tourist destination and a must-visit spot in the best hill station of Maharashtra. The lake is at its fullest during the monsoon season, offering a picturesque view with its small dam and waterfalls. Surrounded by lush green forests, it provides an ideal setting for nature enthusiasts, peace seekers, and bird watchers.
This is probably the best place to spend time with the company of calmness in Matheran. To reach Charlotte Lake, it would require a little trekking following the trail in the wild. The lake is beautiful, totally worth the little trek to reach there. It feels peaceful to sit by the lake especially when you've got good company along with you. It's definitely a must visit place in Matheran.

Charlotte Lake & Lord’s View Point are next to each other. It’s known for the pretty sunsets, there are small stores close by that sell snacks and tea. It’s a small hike for 15min from the main path. It is super safe both at day and night to walk through the forest. I would recommend this place if you’re at Matheran for visit.
Jonah J — Google review
It's a must-visit if you're heading to this beautiful hill station. This serene spot lets you sit quietly by the lake, absorb the tranquility, and truly feel connected to nature. To reach the lake, you'll need to trek a bit through the forest — a refreshing and adventurous experience. While horse rides are also available, the walk through the woods is something you shouldn’t miss. ⚠️ A word of caution: During the monsoon, the path can get slippery, and accidents have happened in the past — so please be careful if you’re visiting during the rains.
