Avoid this resort at all costs!!This place is a complete scam. They lure people in with positive reviews and photos of a different resort, but when we arrived, they shifted us to another property called *Wildernest* without any prior notice. When we questioned them, they gave a vague excuse, claiming they assign resorts based on "availability."
Since we reached late at night, we had no choice but to stay. The resort we were sent to was poorly maintained, none of the promised activities were available, and the worst part — they served the *same food* for all three days!
If you value your time and money, do not book this resort. It completely ruined our vacation experience.
This resort is very good for families and couples. It is also good for students to enjoy your holidays. They provides good service and they have great hospitality service. We have enjoyed a lot in the resort. I had recently visited with my family of 12. Great service and rooms was clean and hygienic. They served hot 3 meals with veg and non veg food it was so tasty and yummy. Staff were friendly and polite. The adventure activities was good. Don't miss river rafting it's one of the most famous adventure activities in dandeli. It's was good and thrilling. We loved it. Highly recommended to visit a wonderful place.

I had visiting in the resort for 2 days with my family. Resort was beautiful and amazing. It was located in the jungle and Surrounded by beautiful lush greenery and nature orintied. This is the perfect place for any one looking for unwind from the city hustle and bustle.
Rooms: They have red stone cottages, premium rooms, garden view commando tent and camping tents. The cottage were clean and well Mentained.
Food: They have buffet system with unlimited veg and non veg food. The quality of food is too good and tasty 😋. They served time to time hot food and service was too good.
Staff's: The staff were friendly and helpful. Every staff went out if the way to make every guest feel comfortable. Mainly santosh sir helped a lot he arranged everything we need. His efforts made our visit even more memorable.
Activities: There a lot of activities like archery, dartboard, caroom rain dance campfire and also they have a pool and baby pool also our children enjoyed all day in the pool. They will give 3 water sports activities in the package like kayaking, boating and zorbing it was good and thrilling we enjoyed a lot in the river. If u visit dandeli u must do water sports activities it was thrilling and wonderful ✨😍.
Jungle Safari: they have jungle trekking option by walk in the morning only. And they will guide govt. Jungle zeep safari also it's cost 650/- pp.
Sight seeing: near by sight seeing places like Disney park, crocodile park and moulangi eco park.
Ambiance: if u are searching a resort in dandeli. I will truly say it is one of the best jungle resort in dandeli. highly recommended to visit everyone to visit this wonderful place.

Palácio do Deão is a hidden gem in south Goa, offering a unique blend of history and culinary delights. This 213-year-old Portuguese mansion, once owned by a nobleman and head of the town church, has been lovingly restored and is now open to all visitors. The current owner, Ruben, provides insightful tours of the mansion while sharing fascinating anecdotes from the town's history.
This was an unexpectedly amazing experience! Getting a tour through the old Portugese villa was fascinating as we learned a lot about its history. Not only that, the food was excellent! There was so much to eat that we couldn't finish it all.
Also, we were able to call on the morning of to make a reservation which was nice. I'm not sure if this is possible if you visit during the busy season (supposedly October to February).

A lovely spot to spend a few hours in the South. When you book a meal, you also get a short tour of the restored house. Given the state the house was in, it’s a huge and wonderful job they’ve done restoring it. The meal is a wonderful and large feast that feels one is visiting a friend’s house, and the beautiful thing about it is that it doesn’t feel like a restaurant. It is a bit of a detour irrespective of where you’re coming from in Goa but if you have a few hours to spare, it’s great to add to your itinerary.
A unique experience of touring a heritage house from the 1780 era .. Mr Ruben and his family have done a wonderful job in restoring the beautiful house in all its glory! The meal (made using absolutely fresh in house produce) at the end of the tour was finger licking delicious!! .. overall, a fabulous visit giving a great insight into Portugese culture and heritage ..
Note: you have to call and pre book lunch!
Two of us had visited this beautifully restored Portuguese-era mansion 14 years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed the tour through the house, by the owner, then a wander around the lush, restored gardens. We were then treated to a fabulous home-cooked feast.
To our delight the same people still own the house, and as we are in Goa again, we re-visited and took friends with us.
We again were given a tour by the owner, Ruben, who explained the history of the house, the renovations and some of the contents. We then sat down to a wonderful lunch, cooked by Ruben's wife.
To start, we shared:
- Pan-fried mushrooms in crispy cups
- Deep-fried cheese pastries
- Something like a cream cheese on toast
- Crab meat in the shell
- Drumstick (Goan vegetable soup)
Then a feast of main courses:
- Whole seabass
- BBQ prawns (with a delicious coating)
- Spiced chicken pieces off the bone
- Salad with pomegranate
- Chopped green beans
- Pumpkin pie
- Steamed rice
- Poi bread
And to finish, the most delicious no-flour, rich chocolate pudding.
We also had their signature cocktail of pineapple and passion fruit juice with their locally produced spirit, Feni, made from fermented and distilled cashew apples - an excellent drink.
We absolutely loved re-visiting this delightful family in their lovely home and eating a sumptuous lunch.

We enjoyed this tour and it was well worth the small fee. Reuben was very flexible with our arrival time and provided an interesting ten minute tour. We were then free to explore the house and the gardens ourselves. It's well worth a visit if you're in the area. My only suggestion for Reuben would be to provide more information on the website and Instagram about how to sign up for a tour or lunch, as it was not very clear to us initially.
Visited the charming Portuguese-style houses in South Goa during my trip in October 2023. The architecture was truly stunning — colorful facades, vintage wooden balconies, and colonial-era charm. It felt like stepping back in time. The area was peaceful, clean, and full of character. Great spot for photography and understanding Goa's rich cultural heritage.

Our group of five from Mumbai visited this beautiful Portuguese era home last week. We were warmly welcomed by the host, Ruben, who took us on a detailed tour of the home and the adjoining gardens which were magnificent. Our guests were served a delectable Indo Portuguese lunch with unique veg and non veg options, prepared largely with fresh produce grown on their farm! Ended the meal with the most delicious Caramel custard and filter coffee. Overall a truly wholesome experience!
This place is pretty ambur obviously you cannot take any pictures or eat anything here. As it's exclusive for pre ordering also the owner also a guide ( no hates) seemed extremely rude while explaining the property and the inspiration behind it as if we gonna steal it. And wanted money in cash only , STRANGE!

Dudhsagar Falls, located on the Goa-Karnataka border, is a stunning three-streamed waterfall known for its milky white waters. One of the best and easiest trek. Start ny morning itself 12+12 kms trek thru forest, streams and tracks. Earlier trek till upper waterfalls now they stopped. Always book a guide, if going solo join a group.

We travelled on 11th Oct 2025. Jeep safari had just opened a day before after the monsoon break. It's recommended to start the journey early we started at 8 am . It is a one hour journey by jeep to the waterfall. You will be given 90 minutes at the waterfall. Additional time can be spent at additional charges. It is the best time to visit as waterfall is in full flow post monsoon. Jeep can accomodate 7 pax . 600 rs per person or 4200 per jeep. Forest check point charge 250 which includes life jacket charges. Pls do not litter this beautiful natural paradise.
A must visit place for people seeking some adventure. You have to reach Kolem by your convenience. Then you’ll have to book local jeep that will take you near the waterfall which would take around 45min. Then there’s 5-10 minutes of hiking and you’ll see the beauty of nature. That’ll cost around Rs 850/- including the forest charges which is 250 Rs. You’ll also get a life jacket that’s included in 850 Rs. You’ll also can also swim in the waterfall.
Good place for adventurous trip.
You have option to go for hiking treking and jeep tour.
It takes 45mins to go by jeep from the forest gate.
Some places you cross the streams and full bumpy road for 45mins. You will be given 90 minutes to enjoy at the water falls. These jeep drivers charge waiting charges if you cross 90 mins.
Avoid if elders with back pain.
Also the water fall area doesn't have proper fencing support railing or any proper means to stand. Plenty of changing rooms but not maintained properly.
You have a life guard near the water falls.
Rocks are very skidy and be cautious.
Heavy Queue up to 3-4 hours for buying ticket, after ticket buy seat in their bolero around 45 min then you reach dudhsagar waterfall parking area… after that 10 min walking for dudhsagar waterfall, after seeing you feeling just wow… awesome location.. but time taken.
Writing down so that anyone who wants to go can have an easy trip.
Things to note:
You cannot take your personal vehicle after the ticket booking point in Kullem.
No shops inside, so take your water bottles with you.
The road is very very rocky. Anyone with back problems is adviced not to go.
You will need to pay a maintanence fee, its about 220 per person. Carry cash, they do not accept any digital payments.
Theres 3 ways to reach the actual falls.
The first 2 options are a trek. You can trek from Kullem or Castle Rock. The trek from Castle Rock is almost a whole days worth trek and you will need a guide. The one from Kullem is about half a days worth. The roads to reach there are also very muddy mostly because of jeeps that keep crossing the road.
I personally would not recommend the trek because it's not very scenic, the roads are bad to non existent and is dangerous in general, especially from Castle Rock. And you can't take a jeep back from there either because jeeps already have their passengers pre-booked from the ticket point. The only advantage of the trek is that you can stay at the falls as long as you want.
The third way is to book a jeep. Best way imo. They run non stop from the ticket point. It's 500 person(on top the maintanence fee). They'll drop you at the final leg, from there you have to trek for 10mins. A very simple trek. You get 1.5 hours at the falls. Enough to see whatever the falls has to offer.
It’s an easy to moderate trek for around 11.5 kms one way…the view is not much what we expected but was okish. The guide will force you to take the train track route but please make sure you take the forest route for better view and experience.
There are Two ways to Explore the Mighty Falls, one in by Trek and other is Jeep safari which is 4200 per jeep (Rs.700/- per Head) if you are less then 7 you can share with others. By Trek is very difficult for Inexperience, its took 3 hours up and 3 hours down total of 6 Hours Walk. Forest Entry Ticket is Rs.250/- per person. Jeep Travel time is 45 Min up and 45 min Down. They Gave you 1.30 Hours for bath in Falls if waterflow is low. The 1.30 hours time is not enough for everyone because we cant get out of the falls due to its carry such joy and wild experience, they gave you life jackets so don't worry about if you not know to swim. Overall I highly recommend everyone must visit this Falls once you are in GOA. Timing 9.0 am to 3.0 pm. Checkpost is walkable from Kulem Railway Station, which is 30 min from Madgoan Junction.

Mollem National Park & Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, the largest protected wildlife area in Goa, spans 240 square kilometers and is home to a diverse range of creatures. Such a beautiful creation by nature!! An adventurous drive by the jeep for almost an hour to the majestic Dudh Sagar waterfall. On the way it's a lush green rain forest with a few water crossings. The sight of the mighty waterfalls is so mesmerizing. Swimming at the bottom the waterfall is an amazing experience. Visiting this place is definitely worth it!!

While I have been to Doodhsagar falls a couple of times, this time we decided to go on a trek. A total of 12 kilometres from the gate to waterfalls, it was an awesome experience in the morning. Walking through the forest, if you are a nature person, then I bet you will enjoy the early mornings. All is good until you have walk back 12 kms .. it was not at all fun to walk back in the scorching sun ... Yet it was fine .. overall an unique experience.

We wanted to go to Dudhsagar waterfall but there were no jeep service available that time hence we took this trekking route for 10 km's.
We have walked through this jungle, its has got lots n lots of surprises.

Dodhsagar water fall is present in it, need to carry cash here, good place for trekking, safe haven for endangered species, contribute to environmental education, conservation, and community well-being, provide a space for visitors to learn about biodiversity, ecosystems, and the importance of conservation in a hands-on, engaging way.
An must visit waterfall in Goa India, we can go railway track to reach... It's around 14kms via track, and through jungle its around 9-10kms but you should hire an Guide with you, you'll be not allowed inside the jungle without the guide.

Kadamba Shri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdisurla is a 12th-century Hindu temple located in the serene surroundings of the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. This architectural marvel is constructed without any binding between stones, maintaining cool interiors even in scorching temperatures. Believed to be the oldest shrine in Goa, it showcases Kadamba-Yadava architecture and is a significant attraction.
This is a fascinating destination for nature lovers, history lovers and the adventurers. As also those who are religious(primarily hindus) since they worship God in this temple. This monument has been declared to be of national importance. The journey to this location situated in the Mollem wildlife Sanctuary was breathtakingly beautiful with lush forests on both sides of the road. The road which connnects from the main road to the location was well maintained and was a pleasure to drive on. We started off from Mapusa and proceeded to Valpoi via Bicholim, proceeeded to Honda and took a right turn at Cotorem untill we reached a junction where we took a left turn. From here the temple is about 15 km. The road is straight and simple. The road is being widened at certain areas. If you continue going right for another 7 kms you ll reach Bondla Park and Zoo. It took us about 90 minutes or so to reach this destination. A charge of Rs 10 per person is charged by the Panchayat at the Mollem Sanctuary checkpost to take care of the Garbage as per their receipt. On the way there were ample opportunities to click beautiful pics with mother Nature. Upon arrival you are greeted with the locals selling fresh flowers to offer to the temple diety for 30 Rs a bunch. (Wrapped by a large leaf) an eco-sensitive move. There are a couple of eateries which serve you lime soda, softdrinks etc. Along with mirchi pav, kaapa, maggi noodles etc. There is a small bridge built over the stream and after a brief walk (100m) leads to the main temple arena. Chilled and hygienic drinking water is available. There is toilet facility. Car parking is ample but on weekends it could get a little crowded. In one corner of the area there this beautiful tree with Pajakta flowers(parijat) also known as night jasmine. It made a pretty sight. There is provision to light incense sticks. The structure of the temple is made up of Basalt rock and has multiple carvings which has been detailed by the ASI(Goa circle) in its information board at the entrance. This place would be worth visiting during rains however no swimming is permitted which can lead to fatalities. A warning board is seen to that effect. We were lucky to see small animals such as the cute monkeys who eat from your hand, monitor lizards and mongooses. we also saw a school, a health centre and a car workshop in this area. Looks like things are developing in this area. All in all this temple is a masterpiece of a carving dated to 12th or 13th sanctuary. While in Goa, put this destination on your travel list!

A very mystical temple with strong vibes. Situated in bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary the drive itself to the temple is serene. The temple is from 13th century and is maintained by ASI. Very neatly maintained lawn n garden. The forest area, river and the less crowd makes this an offbeat experiance. Must visit if you are in Goa.
Located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer wildlife sanctuary in Goa, Tamdi Surla Mahadev temple or Kadamba Shri Mahadev temple is a 13th century Kadamba dynasty temple. Legend say, Pandavas had built this temple even earlier to this period when the queen of Kadamba dynasty rebuilt this temple again.
The temple is located in dense forest along the river Surla and has a beautiful Kadamba style architecture.
Temple is very devine and has a spiritual aura with a beautiful carvings.
Post temple visit, pls do try the snaks from the locals outside the temple. They are lip smacking..!
My Experience at Tambdi Surla Temple
Visiting the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple was a truly enchanting experience — a perfect blend of spirituality, history, and nature. Hidden deep within the lush forests of the Western Ghats, the temple felt like a timeless treasure untouched by the modern world. As I walked along the narrow path surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sound of a flowing stream, I could already sense the sacred energy of the place.
The moment I saw the temple, I was mesmerized. Built entirely out of black basalt stone, every inch of it is adorned with intricate carvings that tell ancient stories of devotion and craftsmanship. The cool stone walls and the soft fragrance of incense inside the sanctum created a divine peace that’s hard to describe in words. The sight of the Shiva Lingam and the majestic Nandi facing it filled me with a deep sense of reverence.
What struck me most was the serene silence all around — broken only by the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves. It’s amazing to think that this 12th-century temple has stood strong through centuries, protected by nature itself.
Tambdi Surla is not just a temple; it’s an experience of divine calm, architectural brilliance, and natural beauty all woven into one. It reminded me that spirituality often resides in the quietest, most hidden corners of the world.
One of best and peaceful place . The temple is small but the architecture was very old which tells a lot of history. Temple is located middle of the forest the road was good you can easily reach the temple no need to walk. It's better take one vechile or rental cars . Public transport is also available but only 1 time from Panjim to tamde surla that reaches 2:30 pm and will back After 2:30 again to Panjim . From madgaon also you'll get but you have to change 2 more bus . Madgoan to ponda to mollem from mollem you have to take bike on rental ( piolet) they will charge 250/- per person . Beside the temple there is small channal is there and the water is very clean looks like filter water . Temple was very neatly maintained . From temple arround 1km there was a water fall is also there but when we visited in that time it was closed due to some reason. In front of temple limited snacks shops are available the taste is very good. Overall my opinion is very good place visit with your family and friends.
This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is at the end of an offbeat road in Tambdisurla, Goa. You have to take a detour of around 20 Kms from the main Panaji Belgavi highway and you drive down winding roads between lush green forest on both sides. You find an occasional stream flowing which makes it even more serene. The temple is built in the late Chalukya and Hoysala architecture. There is a Shivalinga inside the sanctum and pooja is still offered here. Opens at 9.00am in the morning and closes at 5.30 pm in the evening.
Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla, is that of the Kadamba style, dated 13th Cent. It is reminiscent of the temples at Aihole Karnataka.
This temple was built with Basalt, carried here from the Deccan plateau. It is perhaps the only Kadamba architecture made in Basalt. It survived all types of invasions due to it being located deep in the forests at the foot of the western ghats.
Just our floundering luck, of being unable to see the inside of this Mahadev temple. First the premises were locked and after being opened for us to troop in, the temple was not accessible , since the priest wasn't there.
I personally loved the serenity the place.
A beautiful and timeless 13th century temple built by kadambas. The Shiva Linga fills you with devotion the moment you see it. The peaceful water stream with small fishes adds to the charm. The drive to the temple is awesome, and the place is very clean and well maintained. A must-visit spot for a calm, divine experience.

Beautiful experience. We witnessed Makarotsav during Navaratri. The temple premises is large with the temple beautifully constructed in the unique Goan architectural style.
There is Anna dasohama (free food service by the temple) and a canteen where you can buy paid food.
Also, the sarees offered by pilgrims/ devotees to the diety are sold / auctioned at very low prices which you can buy here.
Ensure dress code. vendors outside the temple selling Nariyal, Banana, Mala (Offering to God) at Rs 150/- which is much higher. Further you can go temple without this (offering).

Small but beautiful ground fort. It's decently maintained and we were able to walk through all parts. Each part is labeled but it would have been great to have a short description of that area. The place is dilapidated but still feels beautiful. There was a local school chorus singing songs about Kittur Queen Chenamma when we visited and it felt very patriotic and made it feel like walking through a movie.

Very beautiful farm and one of a kind experience if you are visiting for first time.
They welcome you with flowers and then serve you a welcome drink. Then you have a option of having lunch or going on a tour of farm.
Lunch was home like and tasty. They served both veg and non veg food. It is a buffet.
Then on tour they explain you all about the different spices and condiments they grow in the farm and their benefits.
At last they pour a mixture of some herbs with water on your back to relieve your fatigue.
Overall a great experience.
If you like being around nature and love the knowledge of trees, plants and spices you must visit this Spice Farm.
The entry fee was only Rs. 500/- per head which includes a tour guide and a lunch buffet.
The welcome to the farm was with a shower of flower petals and a small glass of Lemon Grass tea which has many health benefits.
The tour guide is available in Hindi, English and Konkani languages.
Our tour guide Saiksha who gave us a tour in English was very sweet, polite and knowledgeable.
The tour of the plantation is for about 25 to 30 minutes and is a walking tour.
Post that they refresh you with herbal cold water on your back to soothe and calm you.
They also give you 15ml of Fenni a local goan alcohol made from the Cashew fruit.
You can then sit down for your lavish spread of authentic local cuisine.
There is ample of parking space available here and it's better to come in early when it's cooler and has less crowd.
What an amazing experience for the eyes and the tummy… the guided tour was very informative and while it is a large plantation a quick 30 minute walk around the key areas was good to get a feel for this place… the food both veg, non veg including seafood was soooooo tasty…

The food was absolutely amazing, and our guide was both knowledgeable and super nice, with just the right touch of sarcasm that made the tour fun and engaging.
Everyone we met was incredibly kind. We were actually the first ones to arrive that day, and they welcomed us with flower petals and a warm cup of lemongrass tea infused with cardamom and ginger — such a lovely start!

The experience includes a guided tour of the plantation and a traditional Goan meal (buffet style). They have both veg and non-veg options.
Visiting the spice farm is definitely worth it. It's a privately owned farm spread over 130 acres, though only 2–3 acres are accessible to visitors. The guided tour is informative, offering great insights into various spices, their Ayurvedic benefits, and how to identify fake products often sold in the market.
The entry fee is INR 500 per person, which includes a guided tour, farm visit, and lunch. The food was delicious, healthy, and they even offer Jain/Swaminarayan options, making it completely vegetarian-friendly.
Since the farm is located away from North Goa, it's best to go by car for convenience.
🌿 An Absolutely Wonderful Experience at the Sahakari Spice Farm, Goa!
My visit to this spice farm was one of the most memorable experiences of my Goa trip! The place is absolutely wonderful — peaceful, green, and filled with the aroma of nature.
Our journey started at 8:30 AM from Panaji, and after navigating through Google Maps, we reached the farm around 9:45 AM. We were the first visitors of the day and were warmly welcomed with a refreshing cup of organic herbal green tea, made from freshly grown spices.
Soon after, a guide escorted us through the farm, explaining in detail about the different species of spices, their lifespans, when they start producing yield, and the climatic conditions required for their growth. We also learned about various organic farming techniques used to enhance spice production. Though I forgot his name, I truly admire him for his amazing knowledge, communication skills, and humble nature — he made the tour so engaging!
The farm tour lasted about an hour, surrounded by lush greenery, the sound of flowing water, and the soothing scent of spices — it was an absolute delight for the senses.
After the tour, we followed a traditional ritual where a blend of two organic oils was applied to our back — said to relieve tiredness, and it truly worked! Then came a chance to taste Feni, Goa’s traditional alcohol made from cashew fruit — like a desi version of tequila!
Next, we moved to the dining area for an unlimited Goan buffet, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations — especially for just ₹500 per person! There were around 10–12 vegetarian options and 3 non-vegetarian dishes, along with starters, desserts, and drinks. The flavors were authentic and delicious — finally, I got to taste the real Goan cuisine I’d been searching for throughout my trip.
We ended the visit by exploring the farm shop, where we purchased some authentic spices and oils. Prices were slightly on the higher side, but considering they are pure and organic, it’s completely worth it.
After relaxing for a while and capturing some photos amidst the beautiful greenery, we headed back to our hotel, completely refreshed and satisfied.
🌴 Overall, this spice farm is a must-visit place for anyone exploring Goa!
It’s educational, relaxing, and offers a perfect mix of nature, culture, and cuisine. Highly recommended!

They have their own store for selling spices and some byproducts. Considering the charges, veg food was not up to the mark.
Spent the afternoon at this beautiful farm, and it was nothing short of magical. The wooden bridge over the creek was so beautiful. We were surrounded by nature, and enjoyed an incredible buffet made by the locals and an insightful and informative guided tour that brought the stories of all spices to life.
It was truly an authentic experience, peaceful, grounding, and full of charm. The perfect escape from the usual. Highly recommend!

I visited with my family on October 4th, 2025. The entry fee was ₹500 per person, which included a decent buffet lunch with fish and chicken dishes. Truly worth it for the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
An awesome revelation of how the spice, herb and other tropical plants and trees are grown. We were welcomed with a fabulous ready drink Solkadhi, a soothing, digestive drink made from kokum and were even offered lunch upon our reluctant leaving of the plantation. Overwhelmed at the counter which had plenty of seeds to sell thankfully, since I wasn't going to leave without them either.
Best spot for family visit. Food is unlimited and tasty. Both Veg and Nonveg options available. Staff is very cooperative and gave nice information about all the spices plants they have.
Wonderful experience at this scenic plantation. Although it is a 100 acre private property, we tour a small part of it with a guide that teaches us the therapeutic, cooking properties of the various plants grown there. We’re also served a welcome refreshing hot clear tea at entry followed by a varied sumptuous lunch buffet prior to the tour. The entry fee of Rs. 500 is worth it. There is a small shop at the site where you can purchase fragrant oils, pure Feni, and spices. Highly recommend visiting this spot if you’re a nature lover, spice enthusiast, or just looking for something other than beaches in Goa.
Really enjoyed this trip today, recommended to us by our taxi driver whilst on holiday. We travelled a 4hr round trip to experience it and dont consider the time wasted at all. The guide was excellent, very informative with excellent English. The location is stunning. The entry included a meal which we both found was exceptional, my wife is very fussy and vegetarian and she had 2 servings. Would highly recommend it to anybody that wants to experience something unique.

Visited Mangesh Temple around 7 PM—no crowd, no traffic, and a peaceful atmosphere. Truly a divine experience. Please note, the temple follows a strict dress code; western outfits, especially for ladies, are not allowed. They do provide a cloth wrap at the entrance if needed. Toilet facilities are available outside the temple premises, but they are chargeable (₹10).

Our visit to the Shree Mangesh temple in Goa was nothing short of magical. Nestled amid lush greenery near Ponda, the temple exudes an old-world charm the moment you approach it. The whitewashed façade with its tall, elegant Deepastambha (lamp tower) gleamed in the afternoon sun, and the sound of the temple bells mixed beautifully with the gentle chanting from inside. The entire complex is spotless and well maintained, creating an atmosphere of calm that makes you want to slow down and just breathe.
Inside, the sanctum dedicated to Lord Mangesh—an incarnation of Lord Shiva—felt profoundly peaceful. The fragrance of incense and flowers added to the divine ambience. We were especially impressed by the soft light filtering through the ornate chandeliers and the rhythmic sound of the aarti; it was a truly spiritual experience that lingers in memory long after you leave.
During our visit, one of our friends casually mentioned that the temple had been named after the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar. It sparked an unexpected but delightful moment. A local gentleman who overheard us smiled and kindly clarified that this is a common misconception. He explained that it’s actually the other way around: the Mangeshkar family took their surname from the presiding deity of this temple, not the other way around. Over the years, people have repeated the story incorrectly, and it has spread widely, but the temple’s history dates back several centuries—long before the famous singer was even born.
That friendly correction turned into an impromptu conversation about Goan history and traditions, making our visit even more special. It reminded us how valuable it is to listen to locals and discover the real stories behind a place. Shree Mangesh is not just an architectural gem; it is a vibrant living heritage where faith, culture, and community come together beautifully.
If you are visiting Goa, I can’t recommend this temple enough—whether you go for spiritual reasons, to admire the intricate architecture, or simply to soak in the serene surroundings, it’s an experience you’ll treasure.

This temple is located inside military campus… Small and nice Mahadev temple surrounded with greenery… there is a children’s park and a small zoo where one can find animals like deer, rabbits, tortoise etc… no charges… small kids really enjoy this place… toilets are also available in the premises…

Military Mahadeva Temple is One of the city's oldest temples, this Shiva shrine is managed by the Indian Army and was inaugurated in 1955.
The temple is situated on Camp Road and is surrounded by a green, well-landscaped garden with a children's play area and has some benches to sit on.
The central shrine houses an awe-inspiring black Shiva Lingam, guarded by five-hooded serpents, which captivates visitors with its mystical allure.
Adjacent to the temple is a mini zoo that houses deer and emus, providing an additional attraction for families and nature enthusiasts.
The temple complex includes statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and replicas of forts associated with him.
The temple is open on all days from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It's a beautiful temple. Well maintained. There is a garden inside the temple premises , and small rides are available too kids along with jumping castle , swing and sliders . Kids will enjoy as there is a small zoo kinda attached to temple compound where one can spot few deers , swans, turtles. Overall it's a good place for people of all ages. There is parking space for 2 and 4 wheeler and it's absolutely free .
Best place to go for a relaxed walk, quality time with family, kids love it. This was the must go destination for me as a child. Loved watching deer, rabbits, peacocks, emu. The temple was a must visit place. Going to the Krishna fountain to spot tortoises was the next best activity. It was very hard to get a chance to sit on the swings. I always preferred the slide.

A wonderful place to spend the day in peace; Swami Vivekananda stayed here for 9 days. Evening prasad is also served around 6-7 PM.
Ramkrishna Ashram is really nice. The special feature of this place is that Swami Vivekananda stayed here for 8 days, moreover, there are many types of colorful flowering plants beside the ashram and they are well taken care of. 🌸💮
The ashram is very attractive from outside and inside. The atmosphere there is very calm and positive. Once inside, Gaelic doesn't seem to come out. Many people were sitting there chanting.💫💫
Inside the temple there is a lot of carvings and idols. I found the people there very peaceful.
The guards there were also very nice and gave us proper information. It feels very cool because there is peace there.
They have made a small museum of Swami Vivekananda on the left side of the ashram. They have given a lot of information there that what Swami Vivekananda preached while staying there is shown by Chitran.✨✨

Amboli waterfalls are a delight during monsoon period. Though there is the MAIN Amboli waterfall, the entire route is dotted with number of waterfalls to get mesmerized. During peak monsoon you also get to enjoy thick cloud cover. After the rains the entire valley comes alive with water jetting out from several places. It has become a big attraction and has become quite crowded in recent years. Hence, if you really want to enjoy the bounty of nature then you should visit the place early in the morning. During monsoon, as the place comes alive, many road site eateries also come into being selling tea, coffe, maggie, sweet corns, fritter (pakora) etc. As the day progresses getting parking space becomes a challenge. Their are police men trying to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and restricting people to park on the side of the road. Government has come up with a toilet complex which is a great boon for the visitors. It rains heavely and rain wear is highly recommended. I also strongly suggest to carry extra clothing as the excitement pulls people to get soaked under the waterfall(s). Amboli is a must visit place during monsoon.

We visited Amboil Waterfalls ,it looked really beautiful and peaceful. The sound of the flowing water and the surrounding greenery made the place very relaxing. On the way to Amboli, we could see lots of small waterfalls, which made the journey even more scenic. The route is a bit rough, but the view is totally worth it.

This place opens at 6 am in the morning. The best time to start the safari is 6 am to 10 am as animals come to drink water so we can see them easily. There are shekarus in the forest which is state animal of maharashtra.

We took a jeep for 10 people which costed us ₹2000 and each persons ticket was ₹ 50
Must visit once. This forest is well resereved. There are towers on the main site points which are good photogenic and view from there is amazing.
The guids are nice. they try their best so that we can see the animals.
Even if we dont see any animal the road journey in the jungle is worth it.
It is a 4 to 5 hrs journy so bring your own water bottle, caps, goggles, some snacks etc.
Stayed 2 days was a best experience enjoyed with family.

You cannot understand and enjoy this magnificent temple without a proper guide. Our guide Mr.Appu created that aura of the temple with his beautiful narration. Though it's a small temple..I would say one day is also very less to study n observe beauty of each pillars and stories of the each beautifully carved art.
Only shocking observation is why Govt or Archeology society is not taking care and beautifying. These are just one of few left over beautiful art pieces by our ancestors , if we don't preserve this for our future generations..it will also go very soon. We need to give importance to glorify our History, keeping politics away.

Narsobachiwadi, also called Narsobavadi, is a famous holy place near Kolhapur in Maharashtra. I loved browsing the stalls selling devotional items, souvenirs, and local treats like pedha and Basundi. The area's infrastructure is well-developed, with plenty of accommodation options and budget-friendly eats.

It is a very peaceful place to visit especially in the monsoon. Calmness at this place can be felt very well. Also its views on the way are wonderful. Covered with mountain ranges and clouds trying to escape from in between.
Beautiful Place and relaxing. Road connectivity is good. Maharaj Cave is really best place for worship. Staff is so helpful. Photo's are not allowed in some corners but it's acceptable. If you want to visit with government transport then you have to walk for 3 km from Bu stop. Temple complex full with artworks. You can even take a room here to spend night if you're getting late.

Unbelievable experience, This place is situated at top where one need to take atleast 150 stairs, surrounded with clouds, heavy rain and electrifying atmosphere. Parking is available, but few cars can be parked, Prasad is available on daily basis for devotees, lord mahadev, vitthal madir is also available, darga is available at the top. We visited here on Saturday. It was a little crowded because of the weekend. Worth the visit, very pleasant atmosphere. They serve prasad ( dal, rice and sweet) after Pooja and aarti in the afternoon. There are many things to visit like Gagangiri Maharaj Math, Dhuni mandir, Mahadev mandir. Kanif nath samadhi. Keep enough time in hand to visit all places as they are not close to each other.

-Inside temple, womens are separately in queues to have Darshan as its Mahalaxmi Temple.

We were blessed to have a security officer help us out of the blue as my mom couldnt stand and wait in the queue for long hours. Ganapati Temple is regarded as the most beautiful temple in south Maharashtra. It is situated on the banks of river Krishna at Sangli. Thorle (elder) Chintamanrao Patwardhan consecrated the idol in 1843.
The temple has been artistically built with black stone brought from Jyotibha hills. There is a platform, a hall and a 'Nagarkhana' inside the vast two acres complex of the temple. The entrance door has been carved out of different coloured natural wood.
The idol of the Lord Ganapati is made of copper. The idol has been kept in a way that it is visible from any part of Ganapati Peth. It looks so beautiful when the silvery rays of evening sun brighten the face of the Ganapati idol.
Ganapati festival is celebrated with great religious fervour for five days from Bhadrapad Shuddha Chaturthi.

There are 520 steps to climb to reach the cave temple.
There a huge parking lot at the base of the steps. And a clean ladies & gents washroom near the entry gate. Lots of food & flower stalls all the way to the top. The Marleshwar waterfall clearly visible from the temple gallery.
Temple closes by 7:30pm after which it gets very dark.

It’s an svayambhu shiv mandir inside an stone cave with only one entrance from which you will enter by bending. There is no light source inside cave only deep-jyoti makes light up this holy place. There are eternal vibes inside. Outside temple there’s big waterfall and multiple small water flows you can see. Be aware of monkeys.
I love this temple! Especially when you visit it during rainy season. The view with the waterfalls is breathtaking ! Inside the temple, there are no lights, its just the light of the lamps and the fragrance of the incense sticks which creates a serene atmosphere. Words fall short to describe it.
You have to walk good amount of flight of stairs to reach to the top where the temple is. I visited the temple with my parents and siblings on a Monday morning but it wasn’t the month of Shravan so were lucky to skip the queue. Careful of the landslides and slippery surface/floor inside the temple!

We visited Marleshwar Temple with our school friends during the monsoon, and it was truly one of the best experiences! The temple is located inside a natural cave, with oil lamps lighting up the sanctum, giving a very peaceful and divine atmosphere.
Right in front of the temple flows the Marleshwar/Dhareshwar Waterfall – during the rains, it looks absolutely breathtaking. The surrounding green hills, mist, and the roar of the waterfall create an unforgettable moment.
According to local history, the temple was established by Lord Parshuram and the Shivling here is self-manifested. There are also beliefs about cobras once residing in the cave, protecting the temple, and they are considered auspicious.
✨ What makes this place special is the perfect mix of **spiritual vibes and natural beauty**. The monsoon is the best time to visit, but the waterfall flows all year round, which is quite unique.
✔️ The climb has around 300–500 steps, but there are small stalls on the way for refreshments.

Shivsagar Lake is located in Kamargaon. A beautiful lake located near Koyna damn offering a wonderful experience.
Very cool ambience and beautiful greenery surrounds the lake. But during peak summers the lake is dried up and water is scarce. The dried up Shivsagar Lake (Koyna backwaters) shows how places across the country are facing acute water crisis.
Boat ride is available. Motor speed boating is best here. The lake is very huge so don't go for normal boating as speed boating gives an amazing experience.
