This place is really beautiful and clean. You really get to see the God, unlike other temples where you give money, stand in queue and then the security guys shoos you away and shouts at you. In this time you have lost the opportunity to see the God (Darshan). But this place, God is available for everyone and for free. What's important is the energy and the power lies in the flowing River which you can see from the temple premises.

Temple is situated in a serene hill location with a small river behind the hill. The premises are clean and tidy. Usually there is a crowd on Saturdays but other days are usually quiet. You can have a blissful darshan of god and feel connected in such environment.
Balaji N — Google review
I loved this place very much when I visited this place. This temple is situated at a peak so you should climb up to reach there. When you reach the top, you get a chance to have 360 degree view of the landscapes and mountains surrounded. Best place for nature lovers and photography lovers

Temple situated on top of a mini mini Hill. This provides a beautiful view of surrounding mini Hills and Forest. There is a water stream that runs on one side where as all other sides are surrounded by beautiful views of cultivated lands and forests. Temple will be very quiet and peaceful on off peak times.

Temple dedicated to the god Hanuman, with a ritual where devotees make wishes on coconuts.
A divine and powerful place. The temple is famous for tying coconut.it is believed that Swami Anjeenayar will fulfill your wishes within three months if you pray and tie a coconut in the temple. The temple has a separate shrine for Venkatramana perumal too.
Jeyanthi S — Google review
Powerful hanuman temple where you buy coconut for 100 rupees and have to give inside for archanai. Once you receive it, do 11 rounds around and deposit back. All your wishes will come true. They give you a number too with a receipt and which you can come back after 90days once your prayers are answered. They will give you back the coconut and which you use for cooking. It Also has a Nandi which is believed to be growing. Beautiful venkatawewara sanidhanam is also there. Next to this temple, there is sani bagawan temple too. Do not miss that .
Vijay K — Google review
This Hanuman temple is very close to Krishnagiri Bangalore highway. We went on a Saturday and it was a decent crowd for the darshan. This is Jagrut devasthan and it is believed that your wish will be answered. Lot of devotees perform a ritual to fulfil the wish. The coconut is offered to Hanuman and the devotee completes 11 pradakshina holding the same coconut chanting Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram. Once the pradakshina completes the coconut is kept in the temple. If your wish is completed you have to visit temple and if it's within 3 months you can get the same coconut by giving the token you get when you first buy the coconut. The temple is super clean and they offer the prasadam. Parking is on the road but you can easily get a place.

This is an ancient Temple, we used to visit more than 40 years and my kids are young we used go there as a picnic spot and were played on the rocks. Now the temple is develped well and so many crowd and restrictions to visit.

Visiting the temple was a truly remarkable experience. The atmosphere held a sense of history and spiritual significance. It was evident that this temple has been a place of devotion for many generations. The feeling of peace and tranquility within the temple was quite profound. Overall, the visit to the temple was an inspiring and unforgettable experience.

This temple is located in Krishnagiri and is a nice place to worship. It's believed that Lord Anjaneya will fulfill our wish. We need to buy a coconut in a temple and pray. Overall a nice place to visit and worship. Note: Saturday and festival days there will be a huge rush.
Mohanraj R — Google review
The Temple is located in Krishnagiri at a Distance of 96kms from Bangalore, there are lot of buses Temple is believed to be very old From the Bus stand we have to catch the auto to the Temple It is believed that the devotees wishes are fulfilled by praying to Lord Hanuman here. We have to buy the coconut from the Temple counter, coconut is offered to Lord Hanuman feet and given back to the devotees Devotees have to circumambulate the temple for 14 times and leave it in the premises It is believed that the wishes are fulfilled Temple also serves free food for the Devotees

Great experience to visit here in Krishnagiri Tamil Nadu and I love here it is peaceful place, Temp is great place and also lots of helpful people I feel relieved and relaxed here as it so soothing and sitting in temple and mediation is great.
Piyush S — Google review
We have visited here recently. Even though we've visited other Jain temples hundreds of times before, the first time in our life one temple authority blocked us because we were wearing Black-jackets and Black-Tshirts. We were unaware of this No-Black rule. So we removed black colored clothes and entered the place. There are plenty of parking areas for the vehicles Once we walked and reached the temple, we could see the beautiful jain temple. Along with marbles, they also beautifully used plenty of glass decorations. While we visited many of the areas were still under construction in the outdoors. Also many flex-boards were fixed just in front of the temple, so those flex boards were ruining the beauty of the temple.
Nithin M — Google review
A beautiful temple for jains and Hindus. Huge number of small temples of Durga/Shakthi maata inside the temple building. Beautiful glass interiors. Feels great to sit and meditate. The dhoop sticks and other puja items for sale are too God. The most impressive attraction during mu visit was the lotus 🪷 pond. At least five colos of full-blown flowers are joy to eyes. The pond is small but plenty of lotus makes the ouertside special. There is a small garden is there , but closed most of time. The entire premise is getting a lot of additional constructions. I am very sure the temple will be eve more attractive in coming days and months. Jai maa Durga.🙏🙏🙏
Samir P — Google review
I have visited this temple with my family and we really had a great time being there. Location is great as it’s just around 1 km from Chennai highway but quite a big temple. It’s not complete done yet in terms of its construction but you can still visit to spend time spiritual time with family. 1. Good parking space for cars 2. Avoid wearing any black clothes or carrying any black items as they are not allowed even belts 3. Road is in great condition
Govardhan M — Google review
This temple have very positive aura, If you are going to via krishnagiri chennai toad you must visit this place. In fact you can stay here as well.
Films8madhuram S — Google review
Newly built jain temple that houses lordess padvati idol. Well connected and situated off Chennai Bangalore Highway near Krishnagiri. Avoid wearing black dress. Recommended stop over.
Saravanan N — Google review
Good temple as far as cleanliness is considered. Very nice idols and also free lunch for all the devotees. Please keep in mind nothing of black color is allowed in the temple (not even watch strap) and also women have to go in decent clothing suit, saree etc. no frock dress etc allowed. The only concern I have is the name as it has nothing to do with real shaktipeeth.
Sam — Google review
Surreal, Serene and Self realisation moments. The temple land itself is spread across acres and houses a number of temples. The main deities are Parshwanath bhagwan and Padmavathi devi. There are various other temples. There is a gaushala also and bhojanshala. When inside the temple the eyes of Parshwanth bhagwan attracts you to a point where you completely merge into them and become closer with self!!

Jalagamparai Falls

Waterfalls
Picturesque destination known for its tranquil waterfalls, rocky landscape & abundant wildlife.
Excellent place for the in around people of Tirupattur, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri district people. This place doesn't have season on all times. The fall of water only during rainy season and occasional rain times for two or three days. The place is under the control of forest department and charing 20 rupees per head as entrance fee. Place is clean neat and safe now.
Sathish G — Google review
Entry ticket for vehicles Two wheeler - 20 Four wheeler - 50 Falls entry fee - 10/person It has three temples Lord Vinayagar. Lord Venkateshwara. And finally at the top lord murugar inside the shiva lingam structure at the top of the mountion. Waterfalls was good, but crowded.
Ganapathy S — Google review
Jagalamparai Falls is a small but beautiful seasonal waterfall located near Tirupathur district, tucked behind the Yelagiri hills. It’s a peaceful spot, especially if you visit on a weekday – perfect for a refreshing bath and some quiet time with nature. To reach the falls, there’s a small temple at the foothill, and you'll need to climb around 100 steps. The Forest Department collects a ₹10 entry fee per person, and parking is available (₹20 for bikes, ₹50 for cars). There's also a trekking route from Yelagiri hills to the falls for those who love a bit of adventure. The best time to visit is during the monsoon season (September to December), as that’s when the water flow is at its best. Weekends can get a bit crowded, so plan accordingly if you're looking for a more peaceful experience. Overall, it’s a lovely offbeat destination worth checking out if you're around Yelagiri or Tirupathur. Great for nature lovers and those looking to escape the usual touristy spots.
Dineshkannan B — Google review
This waterfall is a great spot to enjoy with family and friends, but the maintenance leaves much to be desired. Although there's a restroom available, it's been neglected and hasn't been in use for days. On the bright side, the nearby park is well-maintained and looks lovely. Overall, it's a nice place to visit, but it definitely needs some TLC, especially in the restroom department.
Ramesh K — Google review
Wonderful place at the foothills of Yelagiri. Waterfalls was having enough water so that all kinds of people can take a shower in it. Need to climb up few steps (~50 to 100) to reach the falls. There is also a beautiful Murugan temple here, with the falls as backdrop. Definitely worth a visit for nature lovers.
Vasanth V — Google review
The entry is 20rs. A calm waterfall near to the temple. When I went the force was too much so they didn't allow us to go near the waterfall. But we could see it from the top of the temple. That view was Amazing. Inthink it was better not to go near the waterfall. There is nothing special about it. And O don't think it was worth travelling through the small roads to reach the waterfall.
Amol R — Google review
It is a small falls , but a good one. It is easily approachable from Jolarpet, around 18 KMs. Roads are narrow, but it is laid properly, so no problem in reaching this place. Not much of crowded, maintained by Forest department, functions from morning 8AM to 5.30PM. Basic facilities like toilet, small shops are available, good temple Vishnu as well Shiva temple, must to visit and pray. No eatery available, if there is a kid, please take some snacks with you. Food and all you need to come back to either Jolarpet or Thirupatthur, both place are reachable in 18KM. Timing Bus is there from Tiruppatur. We go with our own bike. entry fee is rs:10. Once we entered the place where the water was falling, it was very cold. Initially we hesitated to go under the water as it was very cold, but slowly once we got wet and stood under the water it was very refreshing. The water was falling with a bit of force and hitting our backs like a massage. Couldn't look upwards as the water force would hit our eyes and pain. We Spent a good 1 hour. Overall good experience.
Vinoth V — Google review

Nilavoor Lake, situated in Nilavoor village, is a popular spot for boating enthusiasts and tourists seeking tranquility. This artificial lake resembles a small pond and features a garden on its banks, offering visitors a serene environment to unwind. The surrounding area boasts scenic views and is ideal for early morning or evening visits. While the lack of tourist information may pose challenges, the rustic charm and peaceful ambiance make it an excellent destination for nature lovers.
Nicely maintained lake in a village set up. Rustic. With surrounded hillocks. But be prepared for total lack of tourist information, sign boards etc and you have to go by the advise of locals. You can also visit nearby View-points, for which you will have to trek in a blind manner due to lack of signages...
Ck N — Google review
It not a lake but a temple pond when we visited the lake was filled with algae completely. There is no boating or any activity in the surroundings. There is an amman temple nearby where one can go and pray. But the lake was not worth visiting
Rakesh P — Google review
Serene and not much else. The temple is worth a visit. The lake is unclean and no activities happen here.
Ashish G — Google review
It's not a lake. A pond adjacent to a temple
Aravind M — Google review
There lake hasn't been maintained of late. Boating is not available. The Kadavunasi Amman temple near the lake is small but beautiful and interesting to see.Better take a vehicle to get here.
RAJARAJESWARI S — Google review
Went there but got only disappointment. No boating service was there..it looked more like a temple pond rather than a lake. The locals around informed that the boating service hasn't started yet. They did guided us to a view point nearby but if you plan for boating ..please check whether they have started the boating service and then go.
Bhargavi M — Google review
This is not a lake infact a small pound near to temple. Do not keep very high hope on this place but it's good to visit if you have free time just enjoy near the pond, visit the temple and buy some from Fruits and vegetables from local vendor. We went early morning around 7-8 AM and we enjoyed the view and spent like 30 minutes and came back.
Anand S — Google review
Just a small request.. please take some food with you probably biscuit or bread and feed the fishes in that lake... You'll love that feeling

Fundera park - Birds park

Fundera Bird Park – A Fun Day Out with Nature & Activities If you’re looking for a place where nature, fun, and relaxation meet, Fundera Bird Park is a must-visit. It’s not just a bird park – it’s a wholesome experience for families, kids, and even adults who want to relive their childhood excitement. The highlight, of course, is the variety of birds. You’ll find colorful species from around the world, and the best part is that you can actually feed them. It’s a rare chance to interact so closely, making it both educational and enjoyable. Beyond birds, the park also has a few friendly animals like a husky dog and rabbits, which kids absolutely love spending time with. The park isn’t just about animals – there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. You can try the 7D cinema, relax with a fish spa, enjoy a short ride on the toy train, or even play a quick round of net cricket. Each activity adds to the fun, so it’s worth setting aside at least half a day to explore everything. For food, there’s a restaurant inside the park that serves at nominal prices, making it convenient to take a break without stepping out. Parking is available, so visiting with your own vehicle is hassle-free. The entry ticket ranges from ₹300 to ₹750 depending on the package and activities included, which is quite reasonable for the variety of experiences you get. The park is open until 7 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy your visit at a relaxed pace. Overall, Fundera Bird Park offers a mix of nostalgia, nature, and entertainment. Whether you’re an animal lover, a parent looking for a kid-friendly outing, or someone who enjoys trying new activities, this place has something for everyone.
Sathish N — Google review
I recently visited Fundera Park in Yelagiri, and it was an unforgettable experience! The place is beautifully maintained, and the best part is how close you can get to the birds. They come and sit on your hands and even on your shoulders while feeding — it feels magical to interact with them so closely. A special mention to MANGAI AKKA, who is like the guardian of all the birds there. You can clearly see how much she cares for them. Most of the birds listen to her, and she makes visitors feel comfortable and safe while handling them. Her guidance really made the experience even better. If you're visiting Yelagiri, Fundera Park is a must-visit. Perfect for families, kids, and anyone who loves animals. Totally worth it!
Arun R — Google review
Fundera Park is a great spot for families and kids! 🐾 It has a wide variety of petting animals, birds, reptiles, and aquatic life. Enjoy ostrich feeding, a scenic camel walk, or an exciting husky walk. Encounter exotic species and fascinating fishes. Other fun activities include the fish spa, train ride, and 7D show — though the 7D experience could be improved. Overall, a fun and memorable visit! 🌿✨ Highly recommend when you are in and around Yelagiri.
Hiran H — Google review
They charged 300 per head and it was so good compared to Faunus park located it ECR, Chennai. In fundera they gave extra seed to feed the birds also good service. Not just birds they also have mamels, reptiles and fish.

Not only birds but also variety of animals This is a nice park with plenty of birds and so many variety of animals also there. I saw white tortoise first time there and big big fishes, small colourful fishes, white rats and I liked the macov very much. One parrot liked me and kissed my ear with lot of affection. One should visit with their children and definitely they enjoy a lot, iam sure about that. The rats playing with wheel is simply superb.
Kowsik V — Google review
Fir Bird lovers its an excellent place. Birds will come and sit on your hand. .. This has 7D movie experience and medium size aquarium too. Nice place to spend 2 or 3 hours. Kids will love this place.
Asheej K — Google review
A fun-filled attraction in Yelagiri that’s a definite “don’t miss” for both children and adults. The place offers a pleasant ambience with a variety of exotic parrots and a few other animals rarely seen in everyday life. Visitors can interact with some of the animals under close supervision, making the experience both safe and enjoyable. Feeding the birds in the aviary is particularly fun and can easily take an hour if you have the time. Overall, it’s a delightful experience and truly value for money.

A beautiful and peaceful temple located on top of the hill in Yelagiri. The surroundings are calm with a lovely view of the valley. The steps are easy to climb, and the temple is clean and well maintained. You can feel a positive and divine atmosphere as soon as you reach the top. It's a great place to visit with family, especially in the morning or evening for a pleasant experience. Must-visit spot for those coming to Yelagiri

The yelagiri consisting of three major villages athanavur nilavur and mangalam. In the first village this murugan temple is there as usual on a hill top. There is ganapathy anjaneyar temple in the bottom with around 50 steps easily accessible, this temple gives the nice view of the yelagiri hills. Murugan is with two consorts Valli and Deivayani and spear is also there in front of the murugan deity.

This is good place for adventure loving people. Very friend people helping to do the activities.
Sanjeev U — Google review
Good range of activities but felt unsafe We've been to several parks and facilities that offer rope climbing, zip lines, etc for kids. While Thrill Valley offers a good range of activities at acceptable (though not cheap) prices, I thought basic safety facilities were lacking. And that's why we wouldn't be going back. 1) Most facilities were operated by kids with no adults around. While they were friendly and tried to be helpful, they did not appear to be fully trained or qualified. They also didn't speak any English or Hindi, making basic communication difficult for us. 2) on the rope adventure, the safety wire attached to our younger kid's harness was too short. So the boy operating it just took it off in the middle of an adventure and held it by his hand rather than keeping it secured as it should be. 3) Our younger kid's harness was not tied properly. And came off on its own in the middle of the adventure. Fortunately neither of them slipped from the adventure. 4) there were no helmets provided for the zip lining. Very expensive of entry fees. Not worth for money to this place..
Md I — Google review
Nice to place to spend few hours at this place which is at Yelagiri. Very neatly maintained. Prices are little high for the stretch/duration of the activities. For example: kids obstacles activity is Rs.250/- which is insane. Just 4-5 mins my 5yr kid completed whole task and he wanted to play one more round for that another 250/- will be charged which is insane. Just take your kid or any family member who has never played these kind of games. For those who has already experienced then this place is not worth. Location is little outskirts of yelagiri. From lake it's around 3-4 Kms. Google map works we well till that place.
Kiran N — Google review
A great spot for entire family to spend few hours. There are many rides available for kids. ATV and zipline are popular ones. There are 3 ATVs, one each for 90cc, 200cc and 400cc. Kids take the 90cc and therefore there is a good wait for ATV as well as zipline. We felt prices are slightly on the higher side. They accept credit card payment. Clean drinking water is available near entrance, so are the toilets. Good parking space is available. The approach road is paved with stones and doesn't feel smooth. Staff are courteous.
Sachin K — Google review
The prices are reasonable and cleanliness is maintained . Some rides are expensive some are decent . Safety measures are not very good . Restrooms and parking slot also available .

Need to buy tickets for each activities starting from min 100 rs each depends on what you choose. Just enjoyed...

Probably the best adventure park in yelagiri..Not very big , but big enough to enjoy for a short while . No need to stop amd ask for directions , as there are enough boards and signs on every road , directing you to the place . There's ATV ride, zip line ( below 80kgs), archery , bottle shooting , few Rope walks etc .

Don't visit this place with lot of expectations. Limited options and no value for money

Shri Dakshina Kashi Vishwanatha Swamy Temple (Antaragange)

Hindu temple
Nature & Parks
Freshwater pool fed by an underground river network and found within a Hindu temple complex.
My visit to Shri Dakshina Kashi Vishwanatha Swamy Temple (Antaragange) was a memorable experience, with refreshing water features, a scenic ascent via steps lined with local food shops. The temple’s sacred pond, continuously fed by an underground spring emerging from a stone bull’s mouth, adds to its unique charm. Visitors can also explore the nearby caves and enjoy trekking opportunities, making it a perfect blend of spiritual and adventurous experiences. However, it’s advisable to be cautious of the numerous monkeys in the area and to secure belongings accordingly. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot for those seeking peace and natural beauty.❤️🧡
Goutham V — Google review
Visited the temple recently, the trek is a completely different part. The temple is uphill from the parking space, you have to climb steps to reach the temple. There are a lot of monkeys on the way eho take away stuff from your hand so be careful. The temple is serene and very peaceful the water from the nandi keeps flowing at a decent rate. It is a forest area and if you want to do the trek to antharagange hill you need to have prior online booking for the same. But yes can definitely just visit the temple spend time and enjoy, as that is accessible to everyone. Definitely worth visiting!

Had a wonderful experience here. The temple feels old and has great history. The trekking is easy to moderate. Views are good, you can shout from the top and hear your voice echo. It is good to take the guides to the caves, which are also splendid. It is advised not to go in monsoon. Overall this place is nice for a weekend adventure.

This is situated in Kolar, there are no entry fees for temple visit but if you wanted to do trekking then advance online booking you have to do. There is paid parking - For 2 Wheelers 20/- and for 4 wheelers 50/- (there is no time limit for parking and no additional charges). There are Steps while entering the temple and this is on top of the hill. "Be careful of Monkeys". They can snatch your bags or belongings. Monkeys are all from parking till the top of the hill. They will snatch your Prasadam outside of the temple darshana. You can feed some fruits or biscuits to monkeys but you must have a stick with you to protect your belongings from Monkeys. There are 2-3 street food stalls near parking. There is water falling all the time in the temple if you want to take that water to your home you have to carry your own empty bottles. Locals are taking that water. Shoes Stand is there on a hill a few steps before entering the temple. Not at all maintained.

Lord Shiva Temple and Antaragange cave trekking located in a same place. If people want to go for cave trekking they have to book the ticket in advance. Cost of 1 adult tickets comes closer to 490rs(Inc. GST) & kid ticket cost around 290. Trekking won't be a difficult, there's a 2 caves located, each cave we have to crawl(funny and amazing experience), small caves only hardly it'll take 30 minutes to complete the 2caves together. Best part is trekking will be a fun & adventures, if you're going as family & friends.

A place dedicated to Lord shiva with continuous flow of water from Nandi statue which is believed to originate from Kashi itself. Can have bath or carry that water in bottle with us. Monkeys are everywhere, so travel carefully. They will snatch anything from u. There are many stairs to reach the temple, may be more than 250. Stairs are comfortable to climb with resting places on either side. Temple place is peaceful, got darshana. Took us 45mins to complete our entire visit. Parking is available with 50rs charge for car. There is a gazebo and a government organised trekking zone for antargange caves in this place.

A beautiful place to visit and enjoy with children. The temple is at hill top and the path is having Nice views around. The temple deities Sri Viswanathar and Ammavaru are blessings to see and worshipped. Water is continuously pouring into the pond from hill top. Water falls can be enjoyed in rainy season. Trekking to the hill top caves is also there for enthusiasts. Lots of monkeys. Parking is at the downhill.

Antara Gange is a mountain peak with boulders covering its surface, featuring a Hindu temple and caves on the way up. The trek offers scenic views of the rural area from the top. Visitors can also explore a small pond, take a hike trail, and observe monkeys in their natural habitat. Parking is available at the base of the mountain with stairs leading up to the temple and pond.
Peaceful and beautiful place to explore sunrise. Moderate trek and must visit caves. Make sure booked via Aranya Vihar before two days if planned to visit otherwise you cannot trek.. during weekdays without booking only opened for locals but travelers need to book prior. Have better parking place and toilet and local food near to temple entry

Anthargange (Dakshina Kashi) Located near Kolar, Anthargange is a revered temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is often called Dakshina Kashi. A natural spring flows into a pond near the temple, which remains filled with water throughout the year, adding to its spiritual charm. The temple also serves as the starting point for the popular Anthargange trek, making it a unique blend of spirituality and adventure. There is no entry fee, and basic facilities such as parking and washrooms are available for visitors.

Amazing natural retreat with lush green trees standing high and tall with lots of monkeys and fresh air. There's ample parking space for four wheelers and two wheelers. Easy to reach the location. The route is very scenic on early mornings after a light drizzle alongside when there's dew. Just a bliss to the eyes. A small temple on top of the hill and a call place to sit and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Close by to Bangalore and about half day trip to and fro to retreat and unwind. A must visit for nature lovers.

Shri Kotilingeshwara Swamy Temple, established in 1980, is a remarkable Hindu complex featuring over 1,000 shiva lingas, with one towering at an impressive height of 33 meters. The temple offers a unique and awe-inspiring ambiance with its extensive collection of shiva lingas.

It is a very spiritual and peaceful place. A very good temple to visit with family and friends. The atmosphere is divine and gives a positive energy. Some suggestions for improvement: Currently, the entry fees are accepted only in cash. It would be better if they start accepting UPI or digital payments, as it is convenient for many visitors. Also, they often ask for exact change, which is difficult sometimes. In case of emergencies, it would be good if the management allows devotees to exit easily. For example, one parent’s kid was crying but they did not allow them to leave quickly and insisted on following the full queue. Since they are collecting entry fees, they should provide better services and facilities for devotees. Some of the management staff have a rude attitude, which can be improved to make devotees feel more welcomed. Overall, it is a must-visit spiritual place, but these small improvements can make the experience even better.

Heard about this place a lot so went on 5th oct 25 with family. The parking area was covered but still slushy due to overnight rains. We had to wade through the slush. Though entry fee was rupees 20 but no staff was available hence we entered free. The temple was maintained well. The siva lingams were placed in a orderly manner and pathway was built to access all the lingams. On the biggest lingam honeybees have built their honeycomb. Photo attached. Anyone can keep a lingam in their name after paying rupees 8000 for small one, 35000 for a bigger one and more than a lac for giant size siva lingam. A small pooja will be conducted then a space is allotted for your lingam. Drawback was they do not accept gpay or credit card or debit card only cash. This issue needs to be addressed by the temple authorities. They should not expect devotees to bring this much amount of cash. Infact for using toilet facilities the person collects rupees 5 per head via gpay though the toilet was nasty. The authorities must reign up the contractor. Overall a must visit place but take good amount of cash if you want to keep a lingam there.
Balasubramanian N — Google review
Worthy of a one time visit only. Lots of various hindu deities within the complex, beside the 'koti' (meaning crore/ten million) shivlings spread across the place. Serene and peaceful yet this place is by no means a temple for offering prayers. It's clearly made out to be more of a tourist attraction. Starting from paid parking, entry fee of ₹20/- per person, directed visitors in a sequence to confront various hindu deities where the pujari's give you extra attention if one offers money. Better yet, these 'pujaris' coax every visiting individual to 'offer' money for 'blessings'. If one doesn't give/offer money, they grumble and show a care less attitude. Personally dissappointed and not likely to visit this place ever again. I reiterate, this place is more of a tourist attraction, not exactly a place of worship. Accordingly, go mentally prepared when visiting this place.

Temple is very good. Road is also nice to drive if you by Bangalore-Chennai expressway. The only thing which I did not like was at the entrance many transgenders who would demand money from everyone. Other thing is unnecessary forcing people through all the small temples in a queue. Rest all things are very nice and energy there is astonishing. Pujari told there was Brihma temple as well which is second only after Pushkar ji.

Kotilingeshwara Temple, located in Kamasandra near Kolar (about 90 km from Bangalore), is a unique and significant spiritual site. The name "Kotilingeshwara" translates to "Lord of a Crore (10 million) Lingas", symbolizing devotion and the massive scale of the temple's spiritual ambition. The main attraction is the 108-foot-tall Shiva Linga, one of the tallest in the world, accompanied by a 35-foot Nandi statue. Surrounding it are over 90 lakh (9 million) small Shivalingas, installed by devotees over the years. According to a priest there, around 10 lakh more need to be installed to reach the goal of 1 crore (10 million) Lingas, which is the temple's namesake and vision. The temple complex also houses shrines for many other deities such as Ganesha, Hanuman, Annapoorneshwari, Vishnu, and others, making it a multi-deity pilgrimage spot. That said, the experience feels over-commercialized. There's a mandatory ₹20 entrance fee, and almost every shrine has people expecting or insisting on donations, even for a simple darshan. Especially at the Annapoorneshwari shrine, visitors are pressured to donate ₹100 or ₹200 in exchange for a packet of vibhuti, which many may find forceful or inappropriate. Overall, it’s a fascinating temple to visit for its scale and symbolism, but be prepared for repeated donation requests and a very money-minded environment.

Recently visited the place early morning from Bangalore, the road is so good for a road trip. The timing of temple opening mentioned on google is wrong, it doesn’t open at 6 am it does at 7:30 am so plan your travel accordingly. There is ample parking space around the temple, footwear stands are available and some local shops around the temple. The entry ticket is Rs 20 per adult, kids below six years have free entry. The temple allows only traditional dress code for men and women, and phones are allowed inside the temple premises. There are many small temples inside of different deities along with all the lingams. There are many temple area is huge and takes at least an hour to visit fully. The views are mesmerising and definitely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime!

ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதுவதற்கு மன்னிக்கவும். After checking in at hotel, we got ready, had our cup of tea and decided to take an auto seeing the traffic in the town and also not sure about the parking space near the temple. It was kind of a good decision. Felt happy that we were able to visit this temple in person and the temple looks more beautiful to the naked eye than seeing the photos via internet. A 14th century masterpiece, tucked away in one of this crowded town. Historians believe that this temple dates back to the Vijayanagar period. The upper portion of the rajagopuram seems to be rebuilt in present times but all the inner portions , namely the mandapas, the garbha graham all seems to be of older times. If you are architect, or an art lover then definitely this one temple to visit to see to touch the wonderful sculptures that they have made. Praying to the lord someshwara would be an added bonus, if you believe in him. We were lucky because not only the temple was open, but the priest were there and we had a wonderful darshan. Temple faces east, Lord someshwara faces east, Rajagopuram faces east, Kodimaram present. Temple pond present on the northern side of the temple. small parking space available, not sure it can handle a big rush during festival times.

Lovely temple, poor upkeep, with stinking garbage kept near the entry to the main mandapa, a very poorly kept battery and inverter setup (also near the main mandapa), plus loud music being played during the entire time of our visit really took away from how beautiful, and historic this temple actually is. Add this the poor signage mounted atop the main entry. I also wish that there was more information on the history, the carvings in the walls, the student phases of construction, etc. Our history needs to be told better.

Visited the Shri Kolaramma Devi Temple during the KSRTC Bengaluru to Chikka Thirupathi package — covering spiritual sites in Kolar and Mulbagal. This was the final and one of the most memorable stops. Situated in the center of Kolar town, the temple is over 1000 years old, built during the Chola dynasty, and dedicated to Goddess Kolaramma, a fierce form of Durga. The temple’s architecture and carvings reflect classic Dravidian style. One very unique aspect is the worship of a scorpion pit, dedicated to Chelamma, a guardian deity. Locals believe that offering prayers here protects devotees from scorpion stings — and it’s often mistaken for an anthill. While there’s reverence for the underground pit (which looks like an anthill), it's specifically linked to the Chelamma tradition, not a regular anthill worship. The main sanctum has Mahishasura Mardhini (Durga), and the temple also features shrines for the Sapthamatrikas. It’s a place where mythology, local belief, and spiritual energy come together. A must-visit for those exploring Karnataka’s spiritual and cultural history.

A temple of Chamundeshwari devi worshipped as Kolaramma. It is very old temple. Main Goddess here is shown to devotees in a mirror reflection. If ur facing any issues with insects especially scorpion, you can worship this goddess for protection and ward off those insects. When you enter the temple, on left side there is a place to wash ur feet or hands and some seating area. On right side is place to lit lamp and worship. When you enter the main temple premises, you can see multiple godess idols. I got to attend the morning arati at 9AM and they bless you with prasada and lemon. Temple stays closed in afternoon. There is another old temple dedicated to lord shiva as Someshwar temple in walkable distance. Do not miss that. Parking is near the main road on either side with no fee. Area is narrow so may get crowded.

I been buying shoes from here for the last 3 years and I should say it is of very good quality. The leather is so soft and lasts for years. The first loafer I bought here is something I use even today. The leather jacketd and the bags too are pretty good here. This is a place which only sells leather products. They have shoes and other footwear for both men and women which again is pure leather. This place is economical compared to any branded showroom. If you are passing by Ambur or nearby, this is the place to get a good pair of shoes, bag, clutches, laptop bags or jackets...

***ABOVE RATING IS NOT FOR THE VARIETY OF BRANDS AVAILABLE HERE BUT FOR THE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD RECENTLY *** Surely this place has got variety and choice for more leading brands. Ideally located in Ambur which anyone cannot miss out. I have been here for couple of times. The new shop looks very impressive ! We had been here recently and landed with buying more than we thought. US Polo leather jacket which had a price tag was 18000, we got it for 4300. We also bought Micheal Kors leather bag and few shoes. Perhaps, our assumption was wrong to expect some discounts since we thought we had bought multiple items and hence when requested for some reduction, the person who was managing cash and payment was not SO customer friendly. I am happy for the fact that they have expanded their business and have even added a lot more variety but when it came to customer service or even a bit of politeness, it was the least expected. It was a STRAIGHT NO in the face then to respond to the reduction in a more appropriate way. I then approached an old Uncle ( perhaps the owner) to confirm if it was the final price but HE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO RESPOND ! Here's the thing : You can say No in a polite way too!!! You are not a BRAND which has the monopoly to put up a FIXED PRICE TAG. However if that is the way you do Business than be it ! I would think before entering the place next time. Rest its all good. PS. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A RESTROOM FOR GUESTS AND NOT A "SHITTY TOILET" WHEN YOU HAVE AN AUTOMATED HI FI DOOR. IT DOESN'T EVEN MATCH THE STANDARD OF YOUR FIXED PRICE TAG. IT IS JUST A SUGGESTION IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE IT. ELSE BE IT HOW IT IS IF IT DOESN'T BOTHER YOU AND PRETEND LIKE YOU ARE THE ONLY DEALER IN TOWN. A BIT OF COURTESY AND SMILE GOES A LONG WAY AND WOULD ONLY BRING THE SAME CUSTOMER BACK TO YOU. IF YOU SHOP IN A GOOD HI FI MALL IN ANY BIG CITIES, EVEN IF THERE IS NO DISCOUNT, THEY DO GREET YOU LIKE A KING !

Kaigal Falls, also known as Dumukurallu Waterfalls, is a must-visit destination in Horsley Hills, Andhra Pradesh. The falls are most impressive during the monsoon season when water dramatically cascades over sheer rocks into pools below. Surrounded by the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, this perennial waterfall offers a picturesque setting for a day out with family and friends. Located just 2.
Pictures from my recent visit (with my friend Paramasivam )to the Kaigal falls location which is about 70km from Chittoor. The beauty of this waterfall is that there is a Beautiful Shivalinga on a pedestal around which the falls flows. This will remind you of the great Bahubali scene. When there is full water flow it is very difficult to go near the Shivalinga as the approach is rugged, rocky and slippery. The short trekking to this location could be challenging as you approach the spot. We were not so lucky since there was no water flow when we went but could get closer to the Shivalinga

Evening trip place. not so crowded. Best time during monsoon season otherwise water will be very less. Now also water is less. Rocks looks nice. Bit difficult to reach the bottom of waterfall. There is a place to take bath down. Rs. 100 need to pay in the entrance. Better to park vehicle in the second place near the gate of one office. After that road is so bad. No special place for parking roadside need to park. Better don't take food items so many monkeys are roaming there. 2 small shops for snacks and juice available down.

A Trekkers’ Paradise with a Word of Caution This spot is perfect for hanging out with friends or for trekking enthusiasts seeking adventure. The trails and scenery are truly enjoyable. However, safety is a major concern—there are no signboards, warning notices, or precautionary measures in place. Emergency support or security is virtually nonexistent, so plan carefully and stay alert while exploring.

Visited Kaigal Falls 26 October 2025 — the water flow was really heavy and beautiful! The Shivalinga side is not allowed, but the left side is open and perfect for playing in the water. The surroundings are clean and filled with greenery — a great spot to relax and enjoy nature with friends and family. There are small food stalls nearby selling snacks like bajji, bhel puri, tea, and corn, which adds to the fun. However, mobile network is very poor, so it’s better to carry cash for any purchases. Overall, a wonderful weekend getaway for nature lovers — peaceful, refreshing, and full of positive vibes.
G K — Google review
Kaigal Falls is located near Mulbagal, on the border of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, about 35 km from Punganur. It’s a really cool and peaceful spot, especially during the monsoon season when the water flow is at its best. Kids will absolutely enjoy playing here! If you’re looking for a short getaway to relax and enjoy nature, this place is perfect for a family trip. However, it’s best suited for people up to around 45–50 years of age, as the walk towards the falls can be quite challenging for elderly visitors. Overall, it’s a beautiful destination to chill, have fun, and make great memories with your loved ones! 🌿✨

The Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple, also known as the Sripuram Golden Temple, is a magnificent structure located at the base of lush hills in southern Vellore. It is renowned for being the largest golden temple globally and features a stunning star-shaped path and beautiful gardens within its spiritual park complex. The temple houses a 70-kilogram statue of Sri Lakshmi Narayani, adorned with 1500 kilograms of pure gold.
Very beautiful place surrounded by green. After entering from the main gate there's the ticket counter on the left . After getting tickets there are counters for keeping your phones and shoes (different counters for both). As phones were not allowed couldn't take any more pictures. Then walk through the passage gates according to your tickets price. Visit the temples , watch different trees on the way. Very eye soothing. You can get "bhog" at last before the exit. Very peaceful it was. If you visit vellore and have time you can go there. Thank you.

Worth visiting for Lakshmi’s blessings, but skip the ticket. 🙏🏻 It’s a beautiful temple and definitely worth visiting to receive the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. However, I don’t recommend buying the paid ticket — I got the ₹300 one and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. The free visit is more than enough to enjoy the temple. 🪷✨

🌸 Lakshmi Narayani Mata Temple 🌸 I visited this temple recently after many years — it still looks the same as I saw it back in 2012! The place is well maintained, peaceful, and beautiful. Only the ticket system has changed, but everything else remains just as good as before. The darshan experience was wonderful. Lakshmi Narayani Mata Ki Jai! 🙏

SEE THEIR CHARGES IN PICS. IF U PAY MIN RS.150/- (A MUST) U HV TO WALK FOR 2 KMS QUEUE PATH FOR SRI SWARNA LAXMI's DHARSHAN. IF U PAY MORE, LESS WAITING. APPRECIABLY MOTHER'S FEEDING ROOMS & TOILETS ARE INSIDE. FEMALE STAFFS ARE SHIVERINGLY WISHING SECURITIES. IN A DIVINE PLACE, SECURITIES ARE COMMANDING IN A RUDE SLANG even to DEVOTEES. Sights & Landmarks
Vellore Fort, situated in the city of Vellore, Tamil Nadu, is a remarkable historical site that represents the area's rich heritage. Spanning 133 acres, this architectural marvel was constructed by the Nayak dynasty in the 16th century and has been occupied by various rulers throughout history. The fort boasts massive walls, intricate carvings, and a multi-religious complex featuring a temple, mosque, and church as symbols of religious tolerance.
This place is awesome! If you’re into history, you should definitely visit this. There’s a beautiful Lord Shiva temple inside the fort with stunning architecture it’s truly a sight to behold. The views from the fort are amazing too! Just a heads-up: if you explore the deeper parts, be careful of bugs and snakes. From my experience, I even spotted some snake burrows, so don’t let your guard down when wandering around, especially in the deep parts!

Vellore Fort is a huge and magnificent fort that stands as a reminder of Vellore’s rich history. The fort is surrounded by a beautiful temple and a calm lake, which makes the place very scenic and peaceful. The architecture is strong and detailed, showing the amazing skill of the builders from centuries ago. Walking through the large stone walls and old gateways feels like stepping back in time. Inside the fort, the Jalakandeswarar Temple adds a divine touch to the place. The lake around the fort gives a lovely view and keeps the surroundings fresh and pleasant. It is a great spot for those who love history, architecture, and photography. The wide open area inside the fort is perfect for exploring, but it can also be tiring, especially under the hot sun. The place is quite vast, so walking all around it takes time and effort. Despite the heat, the experience is worth it because the fort has so much character and beauty. A morning or evening visit might be more comfortable. Overall, Vellore Fort is an impressive structure that reflects India’s glorious past, surrounded by divine energy and natural charm.

Jalakantheshwar Mahadev temple is very ancient and beautiful temple, taken care by Archeological Survey of India, at Vellore Town. Present inside a fort surrounded by pool of water is an ancient marvel. The temple architecture is similar to Dravida type, has a shivling like mahakaleshwar of Ujjain. A must visit in Vellore.

Truly will be a worth tourist place if the maintenance done with good effort. A walk takes more than a hour to go around. But few areas looks like abondanded and not felt safe. No proper parking inside.. car/van are packed in crooked roads itself. I don't understand why maintenance is so poor and destroying the historical monuments slowly.

Jalakanteswarar Temple, Vellore is a 16th-century Hindu temple displaying classic Vijayanagaram architecture. The temple features an intricately carved tower and hosts beautiful classical dance programs. The campus is quite large with a green environment ideal for walking and running. Visitors can enjoy spending time in the park, although some cleaning work is required as people tend to throw plastic waste there.
WOW!!! This temple is inside the beautiful Vellore fort. The temple is low from ground level but the Rajagopuram is stunning. Beautiful and carefully carved sculptures are all around the temple which is heaven. Still a very good place for mediation as a very much positive aura can be felt. Basic amenities are available near temple

Visiting the Jalakandeswarar Temple in Vellore was a peaceful and uplifting experience. The temple structure is very beautiful, with amazing stone carvings and traditional South Indian architecture. The tall gopuram and carved pillars show the fine skill of ancient builders. Inside, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Jalakandeswarar, and having darshan felt truly divine and calming. There is no strict dress code here, but it is best to dress modestly as a mark of respect. The temple complex is large, with a wide area to walk around and admire the surroundings. Inside, there are also small temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Karthikeya, and Goddess Akilandeswari. The temple has a beautiful mandapam, which is used for special rituals and temple programs. We visited on Ekadasi, and there was a lively spiritual atmosphere with sadhus and devotees taking part in prayers and chanting. Though the temple attracts many visitors, the darshan line usually moves quickly and rarely takes more than 30 minutes. The temple also serves Anna Prasadam, which is simple, fresh, and filled with devotion. Overall, Jalakandeswarar Temple is not just a sacred place of worship but also a stunning example of art, faith, and history. It leaves your heart full of peace.

This is the only best part of the vellore fort campus. Please do not forget to visit the hall of pillars just after the entrance on the left. They are the marvelous creation of the Vijayanagara architecture. Having a walk in the outer prakaram (circle) is peaceful and spiritual. This place is worthy to visit at least once (especially for the pillars 😍)

Ratnagiri Arulmigu Murugan Temple, Vellore Visited this divine hilltop temple dedicated to Lord Murugan, and it was a truly peaceful and uplifting experience. The temple is located on a small hill near Vellore and offers both spiritual calm and scenic beauty. Getting There You can reach the temple either by climbing around 150–200 steps or by driving up through a well-laid road with a few sharp hairpin bends. The drive is short but scenic, and there's paid parking (₹30) available at the top. The hairpin bends make the drive enjoyable and give a pleasant hill-station feel. History & Significance The temple dates back to ancient times, originally a sand shrine, and was transformed into its current form by Swami Balamurugan Adimai starting in 1968. Known in the hymns of Saint Arunagirinathar, who praised it as “Rathinagiri Vazh Murugane,” this temple is deeply rooted in Tamil devotional history. Lord Murugan is seen here in two divine forms — Thirukkolam (with consorts Valli and Deivanai) and Gurukolam, the youthful form representing knowledge and protection. Unique Experiences The temple is well-maintained and clean, with a peaceful environment. One interesting belief is that milk offered to the deity turns into curd, symbolizing divine transformation. There is also a beautiful hexagon-shaped temple pond (theppakulam) and a stunning view of the surroundings from the top. Festivals Major festivals like Skanda Shasti, Aadi Krithikai, Thai Poosam, and Panguni Uthiram are celebrated with devotion and grandeur. Overall, Ratnagiri Murugan Temple offers a mix of spiritual strength, beautiful views, historical richness, and a slightly adventurous drive with hairpin bends. A must-visit if you're anywhere near Vellore or Tiruvannamalai.

I always give 5 stars for temples but the restroom 🚻 and bath place was pathetic 😞😞😢, They collect 20 Rs from each person but it's utter bad condition. No lights, doors & taps broken. Water is wasted unnecessarily. I'm very much disappointed ☹️ 😔 and people use ladies bath room for urination as well, it stinks 😩 foul and unhealthy environment. I felt vomiting 🤮 and the person getting the money does not bother anything , he speaks on mobiles and lives in his own world. The hill top parking area is very small and narrow. Car 🚗 ticket is 50 Rs. The temple has a serene view. There are shops at the entrance with many items like flowers, statues and many items. Parking is available separately. Hand wash & drinking water is not available. The lord Muruga will be a very powerful . But the barricades are not proper and the line of Queue formation is very much crowded. Con : The seating is not available and only few Area available. It takes longer. Food and other items not available. Parking is not organised for four wheeler. 🌸✨ Ratnagiri Arulmigu Murugan Temple, Ranipet – A Divine Abode of Lord Muruga 🕉️🌺🔥 Nestled on the sacred Ratnagiri Hill in Ranipet district, Tamil Nadu, the Ratnagiri Arulmigu Murugan Temple is one of the most revered shrines dedicated to Lord Muruga (Subramanya Swamy). 🙏🪔💫 🌿 History & Origin The temple’s roots go back to the 14th century, when the great saint Arunagirinathar – an ardent devotee of Murugan and author of Thiruppugazh – visited Ratnagiri and sang soul-stirring hymns in praise of Lord Muruga here. 📜🎶✨ It is believed that the temple was originally built by a pious Siddhar / Samiyar (saint) who, through his meditation and divine vision, consecrated the place for Lord Muruga’s worship. Later, under the Nayak and Vijayanagara kings, the temple was expanded and beautifully maintained. 🏰🌺 🔱 Spiritual Significance Lord Muruga here is worshipped as Balasubramaniar, symbolizing eternal youth, wisdom, and victory over evil. Devotees strongly believe that offering prayers here removes obstacles, grants marriage blessings, and brings peace & prosperity. 🌸💍✨ The Samiyar’s legacy still remains alive, as many saints and siddhars are believed to have meditated on this very hill, leaving behind an aura of divine energy. 🔮🧘‍♂️🕉️ 🌸 Temple Pride & Festivities The temple is celebrated for its Thaipoosam and Panguni Uthiram festivals, drawing lakhs of devotees who climb the hill with Kavadi and Paal Kudam (milk pots) to fulfill their vows. 🎉🥁🎶 Its pride lies in being one of the most powerful Murugan temples in Tamil Nadu, standing tall as a beacon of faith for devotees across generations. 🌺🔥 🌺 Divine Aura & Experience Climbing the Ratnagiri hill with chants of “Vel Vel Muruga Vel” echoes through the air, filling every devotee with spiritual energy. 🌄🔱✨ The serene surroundings, the majestic view from the hilltop, and the divine darshan of Lord Muruga together make this temple a soul-lifting experience. 🙏🌸🌿 ✨🌸 In essence, Ratnagiri Arulmigu Murugan Temple is not just a shrine, but a spiritual powerhouse where faith, history, and divinity meet on sacred soil. 🌸✨ 🔱🌸🌺 Vel Muruga! The temple features intricate carvings, shrines, and statues and is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in South India.
Recently visiting a friends with Kanipakam Sri Swayambhu Ganesha Temple is truly divine and spiritually uplifting. The idol is swayambhu (self-manifested), making the darshan very powerful and unique. The temple radiates positivity, peace, and a strong sense of devotion. A must-visit holy place where prayers feel instantly heard and the atmosphere fills you with divine energy... Temple should avoid practices of asking money as true devotion must remain pure and heartfelt.. Be aware of agents outside temple.. money is not everything.. sad part is even though temple was free enough they made us walk up and down the stairs for min 2 kms (even though people were hardly 10 to 15 members) One small request is to organise a special darshan facility for senior citizens and those unable to walk, which will make the experience even more comfortable and inclusive...

Kanipakam Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple – History & Experience Located in the serene village of Kanipakam in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district, this temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is famed for its miraculous origins and divine presence. Built in the 11th century by Chola king Kulothunga Chola I and later expanded by the Vijayanagara rulers, the temple houses a self-manifested (Swayambhu) idol of Lord Ganesha that emerged from a well. Legend says three differently-abled brothers—one blind, one mute, and one deaf—were digging a well when they struck a stone. Blood gushed out, and miraculously, all three were cured of their disabilities. The idol remains half-submerged in water to this day and is believed to be growing in size over time, defying scientific explanation. Devotees flock here not just for blessings but also to take oaths, as the temple is considered a “Court of Truth”—where lies are believed to be exposed in the presence of the deity. The atmosphere is deeply spiritual, especially during festivals like Vinayaka Chavithi and Brahmotsavam, which draw thousands of pilgrims. A visit to Kanipakam is not just a religious experience—it’s a journey into faith, mystery, and divine justice.
Manoj K — Google review
One of the most unique features is that the idol of Lord Ganesha is swayambhu, meaning self-manifested—not man-made. The idol emerged naturally from the earth and continues to grow in size slowly over time, which is considered miraculous by devotees. The temple has a sacred well or “Kalyani”, where the idol was first discovered. The well still holds water year-round, and during abhishekam (ritual bathing), the water overflows—regardless of the season—which many believe is divine.

The atmosphere is calm, pleasant, and truly spiritual — a place where you can feel the blessings of Lord Vinayaka in every moment. 🙏🏻✨ Buses are conveniently available from Tirupati Bus Station. Opt for the bypass bus, which takes around 1½ hours and is faster than the regular routes. Om Shri Varasidhi Vinayaka Namaha!🙏🏻

The temple need to develop more as it would helps in generating the revenue from devotees. Nice view from the top of hill. Huge rush for rope cable it will take around 2-3hrs and the management of rope cable is not good they said rope cable will close at 5pm but they started closing at 4.00pm. If you go by steps it will take 45mins to 1hr but the major issue is with monkeys dnt take eatable items when u climb through steps and carry stick for your safety from monkeys. Total steps are 1305 up and down it would be 2610.

Great temple, but very bad queing system. There is no way one can get out of the queue for emergency in a 2 hour long stride!!! They cannot build a queue like a prison. They have to make it more open and put a security to guide people to get in and get out for emergency issues. The rope car is really a boon. Kudos to the management.

Parking was straightforward (there’s a paid car park at the base), but everything after that was a real endurance test: 1 305 steep, winding steps The staircase zigzags up the hill with several turns, so it isn’t a simple straight climb. The last 100 steps are the steepest and have no sun-shade, so you’re exposed to full heat just when your legs are burning the most. Aggressive monkeys everywhere: Every 10–15 steps you’ll meet a troop scanning for anything they can snatch—flowers, coconuts, water bottles, shawl, even jasmine from women’s hair. Bring offerings hidden inside a bag or under a shawl; keep bottles out of sight and avoid plastic carry-bags. Despite temple staff trying to net off entrances, a few monkeys still get inside the mandapam and prasadam area. Hygiene & cleanliness: Monkey droppings are scattered along the stairs, making footing slippery and the smell unpleasant. Workers clean, but the sheer monkey population makes it an uphill battle—literally. Seating at the summit is limited; I ended up perching outside the rest-room and later at the rope-car platform while waiting hours for family members still stuck in the queue. A small paid-prasadam counter (puliyodarai, pongal, etc.) is handy but also crowded once rope-car pilgrims arrive. Overall Visiting this ancient hill shrine is spiritually rewarding, but be ready for a physically punishing, monkey-dodging ascent and long, cramped waits—especially if the rope car is your fallback for elders. Plan for half a day (or more), carry minimal, well-hidden belongings, and pack patience in bulk.

A Peaceful and Divine Experience My visit to this temple was truly a nice experience. The entire atmosphere was filled with peace and positive energy — a perfect place to reflect, pray, and find inner calm. One of the highlights of the visit was the rope car ride to the hilltop temple. The journey offered beautiful views and made reaching the temple easy and enjoyable. Just a note for visitors — the rope car service closes at 4:00 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. The temple itself is serene, well-maintained, and spiritually uplifting. I felt deeply connected and refreshed after the visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a moment of peace and divine experience.

The present day Cholingapuram (Sholingar) in Ranipet district of Tamil Nadu is one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams and one of the 22 Vaishnava temples in the Thondai region, and is considered a very good place of prayer. Thirumangaiyazhwar, Peyazhwar, Nammalwar etc. have performed Mangalasasana and sung songs to the Lord of this place. The Azhwars called this place Kadikashalam after the mythological name. The seven great ascetics, namely Vama Devar, Vasishta, Kathyapar Atri, Jamadagni, Gautama and Bharathuvaja, desired to see the lion in his gentle form and prayed to the Lord. Lord Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy, as soon as he wished, granted them a vision in Tirumala for a moment (a moment), and this place came to be known as Kadikashalam. This place was called Cholasimmapuram Cholingapuram and is now called Cholinga. If the Narasimha avatar stands out among the avatars taken by Sriman Narayana, can it be denied? Isn't that the incarnation that clearly revealed the truth that God is everywhere? The greatness and power of the one who incarnated as a lion to help the boy Prahlada, who was studying in school, to make his words true, is the greatest strength of the devotee. Such a lion-like deity is the one who has the temple of Yoga Narasimha Swamy on Thirukkadigai Hill. Before entering the city of Cholingapuram via Arakkonam, the Thirukkulam and the Thoranavai, which are thick with shady trees, point to the hill of Emperuman. The beautiful pond is also known as Brahma Theertham or Thakkankulam. Since it is the pond from which the curse of the four faces is removed, it is also called Brahma Pushkarani. The Utthira temple is dedicated to the venerable Bhaktoshitha Perumal (Thakkan is his name). The flag raising ceremony and flag lowering ceremony are held on the Thiruvadhirai star in the month of Chithirai and the Chitra Pournami star on the Chithirai star. After the Brahmotsavam in the month of Chithirai, when people go up to Periyamalai to watch the flag lowering ceremony and to see the Dvaada Saradhanam, the Tirthavari is seen in this pond, which has become the Takkan pond. There is a beautiful temple and a 30-foot tall statue of Anjaneyar on the banks of this pond. In this temple, you can still see the wonderful statue of Lord Kachchiyappatti appearing in the Garuda Vahanam, especially in the temple of Lord Kanchipuram and the Devaraja appearing in the Garuda Vahanam to his true devotee Swami Thottacharya. If you bathe in the Thakkankulam, wear clean clothes and think cleanly, and go to the foot of the Periyamalai, you will find a pond. This is the Narasimha Theertham. This is the Theertham where Lord Shiva got rid of his Brahmahatti dosha by bathing. Giving alms and charity on the banks of this pond is more beneficial than going to the market. After bathing in the Narasimha Theertham or sprinkling the Theertham on your head, if you walk a few more steps, you will come to the steps of the mountain temple of the Lord Singha. How can I describe the wonderful scenes that you see when you climb the mountain with the grace of the Lord? The Periyamalai, which is 750 feet high and has 1305 steps, reaches the top of the mountain, worships the flagpole and enters. First, you should worship the auspicious Amritbalavalli Mother, the goddess of the festival. Arulmigu Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple, Sholingar - 631102, Ranipet District. The temple is dedicated to the god Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu and is referred to as Kalyana Venkateswara. This is the place where Venkateswara with his consort Padmavathi stayed for the first six months of their marriage. The presiding deity of the temple is Venkateswara (a form of the god Vishnu) who is referred to as Kalyana Venkateswara. The deity faces East and is in standing posture with four hands: one right hand in varada mudra and the other holding Chakra and one left hand in kati mudra and the other holding Shankha. The temple also hosts the deities of Lakshmi Narayana and Ranganatha, both forms of Vishnu.

A grand temple of Bhagwan Venkatesh. It is believed that he stayed here with Ma Padmavati for 6 months after their marriage. The temple is clean and well maintained by TTD. There is Rs 5 ticket for special entry. The girls who intend to marry can ask for sacred thread from the priest doing archana. It is a yellow colour thread which he will tie on girl left hand and gurl will soon get auspicious arrangement for marriage.

Kailasa Kona falls

Nature & Parks
Hindu temple
Waterfalls
Scenic, all-year waterfall observation area at the bottom alongside swimming & walking paths.
Lord Kailasanatheshwara performed the marriage of Lord Venkateshwara Swami and Goddess Padmavati and later performed penance here. The water here at the Kailasakona waterfalls is crystal clear and is rich with minerals and is believed to have medicinal properties and healing effect. The foot of the waterfall can be reached and one can only gape at the awe-inspiring sight. To reach the waterfall, look out for the 10 km milestone on the way to Puttur and take a left deviation and drive for about 2 km. The specialty of the falls is that, there is water all through the year. There are 3 falls here. Apart from the main falls near the temple of Lord Shiva and Parvathi, there are two smaller falls with a height of approximately 4 to 6 feet, halfway through the main road to the main falls. These two smaller fall waters fells into small ponds.

Beautiful temple water falls near puttur narayanavanam . Hard to see no cleanliness, lots of shampoo covers, waste items , clothes thrown every where. No responsibility taken by AP tourism, collecting entry and parking fees but zero maintenance. Have to keep the premises clean and save the nature surroundings. Requesting APTDC or endowment department to consider the request and make the temple and falls with clean premises and expand the foot falls floor. Need security, lots of people visiting for drinking . Thanks.

I visited Kailasa Kona waterfalls and while the place is naturally beautiful, there are several issues that need attention: 1. Monkeys everywhere 🐒 – They try to grab bags and food, so please be very careful. 2. Poor maintenance – People are shampooing their hair in the falls and throwing empty covers all around, which spoils the environment. 3. Entry fee & footwear care – A small entry fee is collected, and one person looks after slippers, which is a positive. 4. Clothes lying around – The area is filled with discarded clothes, which makes it very unpleasant. 5. Lack of dignity – Many men were bathing in just underwear, which was quite uncomfortable to watch. At least basic decency should be maintained in a public place. 6. Girls’ changing room issue – The so-called changing room has no door at all. It’s just a common space where groups of people change together, which is unacceptable. ✨ Overall, Kailasa Kona could be a peaceful and refreshing spot, but proper maintenance, stricter rules, and basic facilities are badly needed. 📍 We visited on a Saturday and surprisingly, it wasn’t crowded. But it’s best to reach early if you want to avoid the crowd.

Fantastic experience, good and clean water, water will come only raining seasons, easy access to Main road and also less walkable distance from parking to falls, near by temple is there, they didn't allow footwear in temple and falls also, good safety place to visit with family members, also available some oyo rooms, hotels to stay, street food only available, good enough parking, too many monkeys is there

Wonderful place to visit and very less distance to reach the falls by walk, so that everyone can access it and all kind of shops were available so we dont need to worry. Also sivan temple is very good in that place near the falls. One major iritating thing there is monkeys so you have to be very cautious they are tearing the bike petrol tank cover also they are trying to attack the childrens and the people with the bags. So we used one stick so that it will not come near to us other than that very wonderful place.

Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara featuring a lavish entrance tower, a courtyard & a pond.
Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta ... The Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple is located at a distance of about 16km, from Tirupati. This temple has its uniqueness with the presence of the presiding deity of Lord Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy in 'Abhaya Hasta Posture’, which is considered the ultimate blessing posture. The Lord's blissful posture is pleasant and rewarding for a devotee who wants to divulge deep into the Swami's realms. ... This is the place where the Lord Venkateswara Swamy graced the conglomeration of Sri Siddeshwara and other sages on the occasion of his marriage. As the temple was the place for the Lord's union with his consort Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, here he is considered the most pleasant and granting. Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta 🌟 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A spiritually enriching experience at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, located in the serene village of Appalayagunta, about 16 km from Tirupati. This temple is managed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and is a must-visit for devotees who seek peace and blessings away from the bustling crowd of Tirumala. 🕉️ Historical Significance: The temple was consecrated in the year 1232 AD during the reign of the Pandyas, and later patronized by the Vijayanagara kings. The presiding deity here is Lord Venkateswara Swamy in a rare Abhaya Hasta (hand blessing pose), hence the name Prasanna Venkateswara – meaning the “ever-gracious Lord.” It is believed that Lord Venkateswara stayed here after marrying Goddess Padmavathi Devi, before proceeding to Tirumala. The temple is rich in history and divine aura, making it a spiritually significant destination. 🕗 Darshan & Puja Timings: • Temple Opening: 6:00 AM • Suprabhatam: 6:00 AM • Sarva Darshan: 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM (with a break between 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM) • Archana & Thomala Seva: 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM • Ekantha Seva: 8:00 PM 🎉 Special Sevas & Festivals: • Kalyanotsavam (every Friday) • Sahasra Deepalankara Seva (every Saturday evening) • Brahmotsavam – grand annual festival held during Jyeshta Masam (May–June) • Vaikuntha Ekadashi – celebrated with special rituals and darshan 🙏 Vibe & Ambience: The temple is calm, less crowded compared to Tirumala, and surrounded by hills. Perfect for families and elders seeking a peaceful darshan. The premises are clean and well-maintained by TTD, with ample parking space and good facilities. 📍 Travel Tip: Located just off the Tirupati-Renigunta route, this temple can be visited on the way to or from Tirumala. A hidden gem that’s worth your time if you’re seeking divine peace and historical heritage.

Srivari Mettu - Srinivasa Mangapuram

Sights & Landmarks
Srivari Mettu, also known as the alternate pathway to Tirumala, is a popular route for devotees and visitors heading to the Venkateswara Temple. This pathway, which consists of over 2000 steps, offers a well-developed and relatively easy climb through picturesque countryside at the foothills of the Seven Hills.
Climbing to Tirumala – A Peaceful and Memorable Journey Recently, I had a wonderful experience climbing to Tirumala, one that will stay with me for a long time. The serenity of the hills, combined with the spiritual atmosphere, made the journey incredibly fulfilling. I took one of the two main footpaths leading to the sacred Tirumala temple. Interestingly, the path I chose had very few shops or rest points, allowing for a quiet and focused ascent — just me, the steps, and the surrounding nature. It felt like a truly personal and meditative journey. On a previous visit, I had taken the other route, which is lined with shops and stalls selling snacks, drinks, and devotional items. That path is lively and more commercial, offering plenty of opportunities to rest, eat, and shop along the way. While both paths lead to the same divine destination, the experiences they offer are quite different. Whether you're seeking a quiet, spiritual trek or a more vibrant and social climb, Tirumala has something for everyone. For me, this recent climb without distractions gave a deep sense of peace and connection — an experience I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting the holy hills.
Jagankumar E — Google review
It was a wonderful experience climbing with so many people of all ages. The steps are well laid and the best part is along the route it is totally guarded with railings. Drinking water points and toilets were available in plenty. You also have a choice to deposit your luggage and collect it later. Go slowly by taking rest in between, hydrate properly and don't forget to carry your food ( if required). Everyone should experience this at least once in life time .. Om Namo Venkateshaya.

One of the two pedestrian paths to reach Tirumala from Tirupati, it is an absolutely divine experience to climb these stairs to reach the Lord’s abode. Nestled in thick woods, and very well maintained by TTD, I was able to reach the top within 55 minutes, thanks to the love and devotion for the Lord in the heart, and more importantly the strength he gave. There are a decent number of small stalls and hawkers who sell food and drinks on the way, and there are small shrines dedicated to the Lord on the way. The stairs are mostly covered from the elements and for those interested in the token, it scanned around halfway in the 2,388 step way, around the 1200th mark. One can breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the amazing hike up to the most holy place on earth. I highly recommend it for an exceptional spiritual experience, it makes one feel very close to Lord Narayana.

This is very good and sacred place to reach tirumala by foot. The belief is srivaru himself went to tirumala via this root. 2388 steps to reach tirumala . I feel this is better way to reach tirumala than alipiri root as I travelled via alipiri twice before. Among 2388bsome 1000 steps are steep remaining ok. It took 1 hr for me , I think it will not take at most 2 hrs for any other person. Important point is this route will be open only 6 am to 6 pm and whoever getting SSD token there will be separate quota of 5000 everyday and now a days means 20 th nov 2025. Tokens are given one day advance only at bhudevi complex unlike other SSD tokens available at sreenivsam, vishnu nivasam and bhudevi complex so better to check with security staff which line is for what as it is seperate quota there are more chances to get darshan ticket here unlike normal sarva darshan tokens are 10000 and they are distributed at 3 different places. But srivari mettu tokens 5000 and will be given at only bhudevi complex but one trick point is there as of now tokens are giving for next day so you can only go next day as this token is scanned at 1200th steps and that too same day where darshan scheduled on your ticket and you have to mandatorily walk as it is scanned at 1200 th step but other free darshan token same day only you can go by bus or alipiri walk way or srivari mettu walk way and reach tirumala and visit other temples and next day immediately you.can go for darshan early morning so this has some advantages over srivari mettu tokens and food options also not many as it takes only 1 to 2 hrs to reach uphill. Auto will charge 250 rs from busstand and from alipiri 150 per person from alipiri garuda circle. One free bus is there but the frequency is 45 minutes to 1 hr so I would suggest from busstand you don't have option but from railway station many apsrtc buses available charge is 40 rs per person

Srivari Mettu is a peaceful walking path to reach Tirumala. It starts from Srinivasa Mangapuram and has around 2,400 steps. The way is clean, quiet, and full of trees and fresh air. It is not very crowded, so you can walk slowly and peacefully. There are places to sit, drink water, and rest on the way. You can also hear people chanting God's name, which feels very special. This is a good way to go to Tirumala if you like walking and want a calm experience. A very nice and spiritual place to visit.

The path from Tirupati to Tirumala offers a deeply spiritual experience as devotees climb through lush forests to reach Lord Narayana’s abode. Maintained by the TTD, the 2,388-step route includes food stalls, drink vendors, and small shrines along the way, with a token checkpoint around the halfway mark. The stairs are mostly sheltered, making the 55-minute climb enjoyable and serene, filled with fresh mountain air and devotion. The journey is highly recommended for those seeking a divine and peaceful spiritual experience.
