All-inclusive resort offering eclectic rooms & villas, plus a bar, an indoor pool & a spa.
We had attended a weeding in December 2024 with approximately 150 guests and were amazed about the resort. What an experience!!! The "bungalow tents" are very spacious and offer everything you need. The food was outstanding while we were offered both North Indian and South Indian options at all times. The employees were very courteous and we felt like home!

The resort had a fantastic pool area with plenty of sun loungers. We also enjoyed the live music at the bar in the evening." * Food and Dining: Feedback on the quality, variety, and price of food and beverage options is important. * Example: "The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of fresh and tasty options.

We stayed in two different types of rooms and especially loved the cave room during our vacation. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was excellent. I really enjoyed my time here with my family

A wide variety of villas and suites to choose from. We've stayed in their Villa Suite as well as the Mudvilla. Both exceptionally well maintained and luxurious. The mudvilla in particular is something offbeat and gives a rustic and village vibe. Indoor pool is nicely maintained. Even the Game Room is very well equipped with top notch facilities for indoor and outdoor sports.Prices maybe a bit on the higher side, but totally worth the luxurious stay you're getting in return.

A Wonderful Stay with the Perfect Pool Room! We had an amazing experience at Tathastu Luxury Resorts in Satpura! The resort offers a perfect blend of luxury and nature, making it an ideal getaway. We stayed in a pool room, and it was absolutely fantastic—spacious, beautifully designed, and offering complete privacy.

Never expected such a wonderful service from this resort. From the reception to the restaurant to the room , everything was too good. Each and every staff were very courteous and helpful. We had a personal butler , Basant who was too good with his service. The rooms were very spacious and the food excellent. Overall a great place to recommend to anyone.they hv their branches in Tadoba, Bhandargarv and Satpura.shd soon try them too.

Great place for weekend leisure. This place takes two hours to reach from Nagpur but provides a peaceful environment away from urban hassles. Food is also good with both north indian and south indian dishes available. Enough variety to choose between vegetarian and non vegetarian food items. Being close to nature you need to be vigilant about snakes but I didn't see any. They have good sports options for outdoor activities. Tiger reserves visit is a must and you can see wild animals including tigers if you are lucky enough. However weekends may be a little crowded but still manageable to spend good time. In summer outdoor activities are difficult so it is better to avoid traveling here. Cost is ok but you cannot say budget friendly.

Amazing experience at Tiger n Woods Resort! The staff is incredibly polite and always greets you with a smile, which instantly makes you feel welcome. The food is simple yet absolutely delicious—comforting and satisfying after a day of adventure. One thoughtful touch is the breakfast basket they pack for guests heading out on the early morning safari. It's well put together and adds to the overall great experience. Highly recommended for anyone heading to Pench!

Service, Hospitality, Food, Manager, Staff, Pricing everything is good. The only and Main problem is the Property Rooms, Infrastructure, Bugs, Flies, Lizards, Equipments, Locks. They really need to work on these areas to match up. I didn't want to give this review since the people were really good and loved talking and being with them but then I also want them to work hard to enhance and take the advantage of the big area that too in the deepest buffer location.

Its was great experience staying at your resort... We were escorted by Shri. Raju podiyal.... The manager of resort. The team was well behaved mannered of resort. The food quality was delicious, well balanced cooked foods. The resort kitchen headed by shubham deshmukh and his staff were outstanding. We stayed one night in Royal deluxe suite with attached plunge pool one night in machan both experience was thrilling.

Very cosy and serene place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The host Mr. Raju Podiyal and associated staff are very courteous. Food quality is quite good, except that sweets need to improvised. Bonfire arrangment is available. Karaoke system is also available for musical, vocal singing sessions during evening near the garden area. However, the existing Karaoke System is not satisfactory and gets disconnected frequently, much to the disappointment of singers and audience. A new better quality Karaoke System has been purchased immediately, conveyed the same to Mr. Raju Podiyal. Can plan for another visit.

Pench National Park

National park
Nature & Parks
The Pench River winds through this protected national park with tigers, elephants, gaur & leopards.
It’s very skeptic experience… Not much of animals were there to be seen… Due to its vast area, only 5% can be converted in 4 hours… though not much of bad kind of experience… but yes it’s very good to have a day out of our concrete jungle to nature…soothingly good
Amit K — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience.. Park was so beautiful and green. However did not see a Tiger but saw a Leopard.. Pench is the land of The Jungle Book and is famous for Mowgli and its Bagheera (Black Leopard). The black leopard is actually present in the Park but is very hard to spot… Amazing Pench!!!!
Anshuman J — Google review
Pench National Park, located on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, is one of the most beautiful and wildlife-rich forests in India. I recently visited, and it was an unforgettable experience! The jungle safari through the dense forest was thrilling—we spotted deer, langurs, wild boars, and a variety of birds. Though we didn’t see a tiger, the excitement of the search was worth it! The park is well-organized with trained guides and naturalists who share interesting facts about flora and fauna. The landscape is straight out of a nature documentary, with open meadows, teak forests, and riverbanks. This park is also known for inspiring Rudyard Kipling’s "The Jungle Book", which makes it even more special for literature and wildlife lovers. Facilities at the entry gates are good, and there are plenty of eco-resorts nearby. Perfect for families, photographers, adventure seekers, and nature lovers. Highly recommended for a peaceful and adventurous wildlife getaway in central India.

Entered from Turia Gate. Safari Starts at 6.45 AM after official formalities. The Safari lasts for about 4.30 hours. There are several interesting points near the Pench river. Scenery is eyegasmic. Many birds. If you are after Tiger Sighting ONLY, you may be disappointed. But if tiger is just one of the options and you are willing to enjoy every bit of jungle, then you will be a satisfied visitor. There is one ALIKATTAS restaurant which serves Aloo bonda for ₹20 each and Tea ₹25. This basically provides a place to have your own breakfast and use washroom. I saw regular animals like dear, jackals, Peacocks etc. But I enjoyed the scenery, the birds chirping etc.

Pench National Park – Where Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Roars to Life Ah, Pench! Not just a national park, but a real-life, roarin’, prowlin’, leaf-cracklin’ tribute to The Jungle Book. Located on the southern edge of Madhya Pradesh (and spilling charmingly into Maharashtra like a leopard crossing state lines), the Pench National Park is where Mowgli may not greet you personally, but the whispers of Shere Khan and Baloo are very much alive in the breeze. Into the Heart of the Jungle…Literally This park, covering over 750 square kilometers, is named after the Pench River, which snakes its way through the park like nature’s own zipline. It’s an absolute stunner of a landscape — rolling hills, open meadows, teak forests, and plenty of water bodies where animals gather like it’s Saturday night at the jungle pub. But let’s get to the main event — the Big Cat. Pench is tiger territory, and while spotting one is never guaranteed (they’re not exactly into scheduled performances), your chances here are delightfully high. Add to that a supporting cast of leopards, wild dogs (dholes), gaurs, jackals, sloth bears, and over 285 species of birds — and you’ve got yourself an animal kingdom that's part documentary, part safari thriller. Did You Know? * BBC’s “Spy in the Jungle” was filmed here using hidden cameras and elephant-cams to give us intimate glimpses into tiger cub lives. * Pench inspired Rudyard Kipling’s "The Jungle Book", though technically he never visited it. But let’s not ruin the magic. * It’s a part of India’s famed Project Tiger since 1992 and is now one of the most successful tiger habitats in central India. Wild Review: The jeep safari? Bumpy but thrilling. The guides? Encyclopedias with binoculars. The forest? Whispers, roars, and sudden rustles. The tiger? Well, let’s just say he knows you're there... even if you don’t spot him. And when you do, trust me, you forget to blink. Pench is where you don’t just watch nature — you feel stalked by it, in the best possible way. A must-visit if you like your holidays with a side of adrenaline and a soundtrack of cicadas and growls.

Into the Wild – My First Jungle Safari Experience Let me take you on a journey—not just any trip, but a dive into a completely different world. A world where humans are only guests, and the jungle rules in all its raw, untamed glory. This was my very first experience witnessing wild animals in their own home—the dense, mysterious jungle. Our group of 10 adventurers set out from Mumbai towards Nagpur, eager and curious. Three safaris awaited us: one through the lush greens of Turiya Gate (nestled on the Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra border) and two more via Khursapar Gate in Maharashtra. These two gates may belong to different states, but they open into the same vast stretch of wilderness—untouched, majestic, and brimming with life. Our first safari was in the late afternoon—anticipation ran high, eyes scanning every rustle in the bush. While tigers played hide-and-seek, revealing only glimpses of their tails and backs through our binoculars, we were still enchanted by other creatures: elegant deer prancing through the foliage, curious langurs leaping between branches, the powerful Indian Gaur, and a stately Sambhar deer, quietly grazing. Some moments were too distant for our cameras, but vivid in our minds. As we divided into two gypsies—five explorers each—our convoys merged with a line of others at the gate, engines humming with excitement. A safari typically lasts 3–4 hours in the afternoon and up to 5 in the cool stillness of early morning. And let me tell you: patience is your greatest ally here. While deer and langurs greet you early, spotting a tiger is a true test of will—and luck. Our second safari began in the magical hush of dawn. At 5:30 AM, we set off toward Khursapar Gate. After over two hours of searching and holding our breath at every sound, we spotted a tiger’s face—but once again, it was only through our binoculars, far away and teasingly brief. But then came the third safari—the one that turned everything around. At 3 PM, as the golden light of afternoon began to spill through the canopy, we returned to Khursapar. There, by an artificial water pond, she waited—Tigress B2. Majestic, calm, and powerful. As if that wasn’t enough, her cubs began to appear one by one, walking slowly toward her. We didn’t need binoculars this time—this was up close, heart-pounding, eyes-wide-open magic. We watched, awestruck, as all five tigers—mother and her four cubs—chilled in the water, basking in the sun like royalty. As sunset approached, they began to move—time to head home. And just then, right near our path, they crossed the jungle road in front of us. That moment—five wild tigers walking into the twilight, just meters away—was the closest, most thrilling encounter I’ve ever had. Our guide quickly fired a burst of shots, capturing what felt like a once-in-a-lifetime scene. In our earlier safaris, we followed fresh tiger paw prints, reading the jungle like a storybook written in dust and leaves. We also learned to trust the jungle’s own warning system—sharp alarm calls by deer and monkeys that signalled a tiger’s presence. It was wild intuition at work, and our guide explained it all with wonder and respect. And yes—we even paused mid-safari for breakfast under towering trees, sipping hot tea as the forest whispered around us. That’s something no five-star hotel can ever match. Thinking of Going on a Safari? Here’s What You Need to Know: • Book in advance, especially in summer (or post-monsoon October)—your chances of spotting tigers are much higher. • Bring a DSLR or long-range camera—some gates like Khursapar don’t allow phones out during the safari (they’ll be locked until you return). • Rent binoculars—they’re game-changers for distant sightings and are available at the gate. • Go for at least 3 safaris—don’t put all your hopes in just one! • Avoid plastic—only glass or steel bottles are allowed inside. Most hotels provide this. If the jungle calls you, don’t ignore it.

Khindsi Lake, also known as Ramtek Dam, has transformed in the last few years into a vibrant destination offering various water sports activities such as boating, water speed bikes, family boats, and paddling boats. The area features straightforward waterfront lodging with a restaurant and affordable stay facilities ranging from 1000-2000. Additionally, the lake offers get-together packages for families and corporates.
Chill place. Definitely go on weekends with friends and family. Entry feee is 100 each. Boating facility also available. Enjoy Ur Day. Go with private vehicle if possible bike preferably.

Important Note: If you visit this location, you'll find a serene lake view, but be aware that: - The area lacks maintenance. - No boating or other activities are available here. Alternative Option: For boating and other activities, head to Rajkamal Boating Center, located 13 km away from here. Avoid Confusion: Be cautious not to confuse this location with Rajkamal Boating Center, as we did, which led to an extra 13 km journey. Ideal for Nature Lovers: However, if you're seeking a peaceful, natural atmosphere, this spot is perfect for you.

Peaceful and Divine Experience at Gad Mandir, Ramtek. Visited this beautiful temple recently, and it was such a peaceful and spiritually uplifting experience. The place is well-maintained and has a calming atmosphere that instantly brings a sense of peace.
Sandhya M — Google review
On my way to Pench Tiger Reserve from Nagpur International Port, we passed through Ramtek and visited Ramtek Sriram Temple in mid September 2025 The temple is located in a fort at approximately 1500 ft and is a picturesque location with a large lake on one side and green hills and valleys on the other side. The temples located inside the fort complex are grand and spiritually elevating. You feel blessed. The fort also has an imposing structure with deep cliffs. The pathway to the temple is also comfortable. The only distraction disturbing the serenity of this beautiful place are too many shops especially eateries right up to the fort gate. Inside the fort complex there are monkeys which devotees feed with comfort. There is a proper assigned place inside the fort prior to temple main entrance for shoes but generally people step out their shoes at fort gate itself in a haphazard manner giving a discomfort picture to this beautiful location. This place really deserves a visit where it is believed that Lord Rama took 'Tek( Rest)' during his vanvaas or ' Tek ( Pledge)' to demolish demons disturbing the peace of the surrounding area.

What a breathtaking haven of tranquility at Ramtek Fort Temple! Nestled amidst majestic mountains and cradled by a shimmering lake, this place radiates serene vibes that soothe the soul. After exploring the sacred temple, dive into the exhilarating boat ride—it’s a burst of pure joy, gliding across crystal waters with stunning views all around. This vibrant blend of spiritual calm and natural splendor makes for an unforgettable, refreshing adventure!

Had a great experience visiting Shri Ram Temple & Fort in Ramtek. The temple is peaceful, and the view from the top is absolutely amazing. You can see the lakes and greenery all around. The climb is worth it, and the vibe inside the temple is very calming. The fort area and old stonework add a lot of character to the place. Definitely a good spot for a short trip or weekend outing.
Prem.k — Google review
It gets its name from Sri Ram of Ayodhya, who took a Tek or a Vow here to rid the earth of Asuras. It can also mean the place where he rested for a while during his southward journey. Earlier this hill was called Tapogiri, which literally means the hill of Tapas or the place where a lot of sages perform Tapas. You may think why only this place? Well, this is where Agastya Muni had an ashram and Sri Ram visited him during his 14-year exile. We know from Ramayana that during his journey through the forests of India, he killed many asuras. This relieved many sages and saints who used to have their ashrams in the deep forests.

The grand and ancient temples of Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman are very attractive. Their architecture and the carvings on them are also very beautiful. There is also a temple of Bajrang Bali here. The view of Ramtek city from the fort temple is very beautiful.
Virendra G — Google review
Divine stone architecture made by the Bhosales of Nagpur during their regime, this temple stands over the Ramtek fort at the very place where Lord ShreeRam, Sita Mata and Lord Lakshmana spent brief period of time during their 14 years of forest exile(vanvas). Reaching here is extremely easy from Nagpur Via AH 44 and NH 753 in about 1-1.5 hrs. You enter the beautiful gate of this temple at the foothill right on this highway. Go here to experience calm and composure of Lord ShreeRam in the very air. Stone temple and fort will amaze you in many ways. Few points to remember: • Generally not very crowded if you go early in morning. • Beware of the monkeys, they’ll snatch food from your hands. (Even Lotuses and garlands for god) • Do not click pictures inside the temple. • Don’t forget to eat- Kachha Chivada, Bor, etc. on your way down. • Please don’t dirty our heritage.

Ramtek Lord Ram Temple is a peaceful and spiritual place with deep historical significance. The temple's architecture is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very calming. one of the best parts is the stunning top view of the village from the temple, which makes the visit even more special. An ancient place of worship in the heritage fortress, considered to be from the 11th century, this temple complex dedicated to Lord Ram is one of the oldest in Maharashtra. According to legends, God Ram during his Van Vas,(exile to the forest) visited this place and met Sage Agastya and on the advice of Sage took an oath to destroy the evil kingdom of Ravana. There are many temples within the premises including dedicated to Lord Ram, Laxmana, Kausalya Devi, Ekadashi Mata, Varaha, Agastya Ashram and many more. There is also a memorial to Maha Kavi Kalidas. The path to the complex is dotted with shops and eateries. The view from the top is scintillating. Lots of monkeys around so one should be careful in protecting any fruit bag or eatables. As this is a sacred place, one should maintain decorum and dress code. A must visit to understand the culture and heritage of Bharat. The view from the top is just mesmerizing. The fort has an old-world charm, and the local guides shared many interesting stories. A peaceful and enlightening experience overall. By road, it takes around 90 mins to reach from Nagpur. After reaching, you may park at the base of the mountain and take the hundreds of steps to the temple, or you may drive to the top and then you would just need to climb around 25 to 30 steps that come after intervals. The temple compound is clean, The temple area is supposed to be full of monkeys, but fortunately we didnt see more than one troupe of 5-6 monkeys. These monkeys are know to snatch things from your hand, hoping to find food. It is advised that you do not carry any purse or mobile phone or any bag while visiting the temple.

It is a magnificent ancient temple complex with beautiful architecture. It is a fort like complex spread over a vast area on a hill. People throng to this place. Beautiful views of surrounding plains are visible from this complex. There is pucca road upto this and a big parking lot is available. There is temple of Ram- Sita and a separate dedicated temple of Laxman which is a rarity. A separate Hanuman mandir is there There are small shirines of Kaushalya, Sumitra, Ekadashi and other dieties are there.

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway near Nagpur, Ramtek is the perfect destination. This scenic town, known for its historical and mythological significance, offers a serene environment that allows you to unwind and connect with nature. One of the best experiences in Ramtek is enjoying the breathtaking view from Ramtek Tekdi. The hilltop provides a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes, making it a great spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty. The calm atmosphere, cool breeze, and greenery around make it an ideal place for those seeking peace and tranquility. Apart from the mesmerizing view, the visit becomes even more special when you get to indulge in local delicacies. One must try the traditional Jhunka Bhakar, a simple yet delicious dish that perfectly complements the rustic charm of the place. The spicy gram flour-based Jhunka paired with freshly made Bhakri (jowar or bajra roti) adds a flavorful touch to the experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a history enthusiast, or just someone looking for a refreshing escape, Ramtek promises a memorable time with its scenic beauty, peaceful vibes, and delicious local food.

The way to this place is beautiful, however as you reach the destination there is not much to do, no particular activities or things to do. It's a very casual place for either taking a walk or jog. You can see good view from a high above point and click great pictures of nature. There is a rocky hill to climb, through the forest, a great place for a casual treak. However there is no place to sit, insufficient parking space and very narrow roads. It's difficult to navigate at night as there are no street lights whatsoever. You will find ducks, chickens, wild pigs and some wild scorpions around. There is a restaurant at the beginning of the track to refill and freshen up.

If you need a quick getaway from Nagpur, into the amidst nature and lush greens, this place in the outskirts of Pench Tiger reserve is a suitable place. Approximately 60 kilometres from the City. Roads are nice, most of the part is Highway. Winter is preferred.

Shri Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Mandir Koradi is a beautiful and well-maintained temple with a huge surrounding area. Visitors can find multiple water coolers, clean washrooms, and a feeding room. The Prasadalay serves delicious Prasad including rice, daal, roti, sabji, and sheera in a spacious and well-lit seating area. The temple emits amazing vibrations for spiritual people and healers.
Its a bliss to be here. We went during the late hours, after 6 pm. There no waiting line, neither was any rush. Temple is clean and well managed. Security is good, people are accomodating while visiting with babies. There is no hassle or rush if you go in the late hours. I've been told it gets busy in day time and during festivals. You can observe peace and calm in the environment of the temple. One of Maa's blessing.

🌟 A truly serene and spiritual experience! 🕉️ The temple Corridors are immaculately clean, creating a peaceful atmosphere for devotees and visitors alike. The evening lake view adds a touch of natural beauty, especially when paired with the temple’s stunning lighting that brings the entire area to life. The highlight is the 151-feet tall God Hanuman statue currently under construction—already an awe-inspiring sight that promises to be a landmark once completed. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility and devotion in one place....!

I recently visited the Mahalakshmi Jagdamba Koradi Mandir and had a truly peaceful and serene experience. The temple environment is calm and spiritually uplifting. I visited during an off-season, so there was no crowd or waiting. However, during Navratri or other festive seasons, long queues are common, so plan your visit accordingly. For travel, both personal vehicles and public transport are good options. If you're using public transport, you can catch a direct bus to the temple from Sitabardi Bus Stand-Morbhavan. Overall, a wonderful and divine place to visit.

It's an important landmark in the Vidarbha region, featuring idols of prominent gods like Shri Hanumanji, Shri Shrinathji, and Shri Lakshmi-Narayan Dev.
Swamynarayan temple is an example of very beautiful and eye catching architecture. The night view and light show is superb and pleasant. So no worries if you missed visiting temple in day time. Green area, garden and trees around the temple is also very well maintained. There are couple of restaurants in temple premises. The Swaminarayan Temple in Nagpur is a stunning blend of devotion and architecture, but it's in the evening that its beauty truly shines. As the sun sets, the temple glows with warm lights, highlighting its intricate carvings and serene surroundings. Decent temple to spend around 2 hours. It is well maintained and very beautiful place but there are too many restrictions here. Food arena is good with many options to eat.

I’ve never had complaints about the temple before, but today was disappointing. Meal passes were given only to relatives and close contacts of the volunteers. One of the volunteers told us that passes were distributed until 12 PM, yet we never saw or heard anyone actually giving them out. As a common visitor, you can enjoy the “Anna Kut,” but don’t expect to receive the full mahaprasad meal unless you have inside connections.

It's also known as Akshardham. Swaminarayan temple is famous throughout India. There is no need to buy any tickets as it's free for all. It's a Temple. Light and Sound show needs no ticket either. Timing for the show is 7:30 pm. Don't forget to check the "Neelkanth Mandapam" under the main temple.

This Hindu temple boasts a rich heritage, characterized by its ancient architecture and spacious surroundings. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shri Balaji Mandir in Ladpura, Itwari, Nagpur, and my experience was nothing short of wonderful. The temple's architecture is both magnificent and welcoming, with intricate carvings and traditional designs that reflect the rich cultural heritage of India. The main idol of Lord Balaji is resplendent and beautifully adorned, exuding an aura of divinity that fills every devotee with a deep sense of reverence and peace. The temple grounds are immaculately maintained, with lush gardens and serene surroundings that enhance the spiritual ambiance. I found the entire experience to be profoundly calming, as the soothing chants and melodious bhajans resonated throughout the temple, creating an environment that is perfect for meditation and prayer. The temple staff and volunteers deserve special mention for their warm hospitality and unwavering dedication. They ensured that all visitors had a comfortable and enriching experience, providing guidance and assistance with genuine care and respect. The cleanliness and hygiene standards maintained at the temple were exemplary, adding to the overall positive experience. One of the highlights of my visit was witnessing the elaborate rituals and aartis performed with great devotion and precision. The sight of devotees immersed in prayer, the fragrance of incense, and the rhythmic sound of bells created a truly mesmerizing and uplifting experience that left a lasting impression on my heart. In addition to its spiritual significance, Shri Balaji Mandir also plays an active role in the local community, organizing various cultural and charitable events that bring people together and foster a sense of unity and harmony. In conclusion, my visit to Shri Balaji Mandir in Ladpura, Itwari, Nagpur, was a deeply fulfilling and memorable experience. I have had the most wonderful experience at the store. It perhaps the only store in Nagpur that has a fantastic collection of art, paintings, collectibles, gifting, all under one roof. I love the feel of place and the fact that it's a heritage property the curator has painstakingly retained the old world charm. There is no hurry I could browse through the store at leisure, ( over a cup of coffee) and ask as many questions I wanted. I appreciate the knowledge and chive of the owner who has put toghther such unique pieces all under one roof. If you are in Nagpur ... You must visit Sachee. . . The staff was well versed with their collection and provided me great tips on what would look good in certain sections of my house (based on interior pics of my house I had taken along). Their ready collection of artefacts is massive, can cater to a variety of tastes. The gallery itself is very beautifully fashioned! and adorns a grand and rustic look.

Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi is a centuries-old temple located on a hilltop in Nagpur. The temple houses a colorful statue of Lord Ganesh and is believed to be the place where the idol was discovered during the construction of a railway line in 1875. It is said that Raja Raghuji Bhosle used to visit the idol, which was initially placed under a peepul tree, by riding up on a boat.
Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi is one of Nagpur’s most revered and iconic temples, attracting devotees from all side of India. Situated near Nagpur Railway Station, the temple’s location on a small hill (tekdi) adds to its spiritual charm and peaceful ambiance. The surroundings are neat and clean. I like how they protect the trees by not cutting them and building the structures around them. It is quiet spacious. The people here treat everyone as one of them, gives as prasad. The trees around keeps the area cool especially in the evening, while the sun's setting and with cool breeze and all.. It is quiet sutable place to spend some peacefull time with yourself or with your loved ones. Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi is a must-visit for those seeking spiritual solace and a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Nagpur.

Very nice and beautiful temple in nagpur. It is situated on the Station Road in Nagpur, Sri Ganesh Mandir Tekri is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple boasts of rich architecture; the idol of Ganesha can be seen seated under a tree inside the premises of the temple. Tekdi Ganesh Temple is said to be 250 years old. The shrine of Lord Ganesha is believed to be self-existent, and its size is increasing over a period. During the early years, Tekdi Ganapati Temple used to be an ordinary shrine with a tin shade and a small platform.

Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi is one of the most peaceful and spiritually uplifting places in Nagpur. Located near the railway station, the temple sits atop a small hill (“Tekdi”), making the visit feel special and calming right from the climb. The moment you enter, you feel a strong sense of devotion and serenity. The idol of Lord Ganesh is beautifully adorned, and the atmosphere is filled with positive energy. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and the surroundings are always pleasant for a short walk or quiet time. Despite being a popular temple, the darshan is usually smooth. This is a perfect place to start your day with blessings or to spend a few quiet minutes away from the city rush.

Title: A Sacred Hilltop Abode of Lord Ganesha – Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi, Nagpur’s Timeless Treasure Location: Perched atop Tekdi Hill (a prominent landmark in Nagpur), Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi is one of the city’s oldest and most revered temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Situated near Central Railway Station, this hillock shrine offers panoramic views of Nagpur and is a spiritual haven for devotees and history enthusiasts alike. First Impressions: The temple’s serene location, surrounded by lush greenery and rocky terrain, sets it apart from urban chaos. A short climb up the well-maintained steps leads to the temple complex, where the simplicity of its ancient architecture evokes a sense of timeless devotion. The white-painted structure, crowned with a traditional Maratha-style dome, blends seamlessly with the natural beauty of the hill. Spiritual Ambiance: The sanctum sanctorum enshrines a self-manifested (swayambhu) idol of Lord Ganesha, believed to be centuries old. The idol, adorned with fresh flowers and vibrant chandrika (vermilion), exudes divine grace. The atmosphere is charged with devotion, amplified by the rhythmic ringing of bells and collective chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya!” The morning and evening aartis are particularly soul-stirring, drawing crowds of locals and pilgrims. Unique Rituals & Offerings: Devotees perform abhishek with holy water, coconut, and flowers, seeking Lord Ganesha’s blessings for success and obstacle removal. A special ritual involves offering modaks (sweet dumplings), Lord Ganesha’s favorite treat, which are later distributed as prasad. The temple also holds significance during Ganesh Chaturthi, though its tranquil vibe contrasts with the city’s grand public celebrations, offering a more intimate worship experience. Historical Significance: This temple is deeply intertwined with Nagpur’s history. It is said to have been a place of worship for the Bhonsle dynasty rulers and is among the oldest Ganesha temples in Maharashtra. The hill itself is believed to have geological and spiritual importance, adding layers of cultural heritage to the site. Facilities & Cleanliness: The temple premises are well-maintained, with clean pathways and designated areas for footwear. Drinking water facilities and shaded seating spots are available, though the climb might be challenging for elderly visitors. The small marketplace at the base of the hill sells flowers, coconuts, and souvenirs. Community & Hospitality: The priests (pujaris) are approachable and deeply knowledgeable about the temple’s history. Regular devotees often share fascinating anecdotes about the temple’s legacy, enhancing the visit. The temple’s role as a community anchor is evident during festivals, where locals volunteer enthusiastically. Surroundings & Accessibility: The temple’s hilltop location provides breathtaking views of Nagpur, especially during sunrise and sunset. Nearby attractions include the historic Sitabuldi Fort and bustling markets of Sadar. Auto-rickshaws and taxis can drop visitors at the base of the hill, but parking space is limited. The climb involves ~100 steps, so comfortable footwear is recommended. Festive Highlights: - Ganesh Chaturthi: Though low-key compared to public pandals, the temple is beautifully decorated with lights and flowers. Special bhajans and cultural programs are organized. - Nag Panchami: The hill’s natural setting adds charm to this festival, with rituals honoring serpent deities. Tips for Visitors: - Timings: 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM (extended during festivals). - Footwear: Remove shoes before climbing the final steps to the sanctum. - Photography: Respect signage; avoid photography inside the sanctum. - Best Time to Visit: Early morning for tranquility or sunset for scenic views. Final Thoughts: Shri Ganesh Mandir Tekdi is not just a temple—it’s a journey through Nagpur’s spiritual and historical roots. The combination of devotion, natural beauty, and ancient heritage makes it a must-visit.

Tekri Ganeshji Temple in Nagpur is one of the most peaceful and spiritually uplifting places to visit in the city. Located on a small hill (tekri), the temple offers a serene environment away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The climb up to the temple is not too difficult and gives you a feeling of calmness even before you reach the main sanctum. Devotees believe that Lord Ganesha here is very powerful, and many people visit to seek blessings before starting something new in their lives, whether it is an exam, a job, or any important venture. The temple architecture is simple yet divine, and the idol of Ganeshji radiates positivity. Early morning and evening aarti are truly soul-soothing and give a sense of inner peace. Situated in Nagour, Maharashtra, Tekdi Ganapati Temple is an ancient and famous temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh. The temple is built on a hill hence the temple got the name Tekdi Ganesh Mandir. Initially, the temple was built on a small platform. The construction of the new temple started in 1978 and was completed in the year 1984. This is an old cricket stadium of Nagpur. This ground has hold some of the historic moments of cricket. I have watched Ranji Trophy matches here. I also wached SMAT T20 matches here. Today I gone here to see current Team India 🇮🇳 Practice Session. This is a good ground but now no International Matches are held here as there is already a new ground in Nagpur.

VCA JAMTHA STADIUM As the city expanded and the areas surrounding our stadium witnessed construction activities and as international matches were held regularly at the Civil lines stadium, parking of vehicles was a big issue. Also, there was felt an imminent need for a larger stadium having facilities of international standards. Thus in 2004 Mr. Shashank Manohar, the then President of our Association, taking a very bold & visionary approach decided to construct an international level stadium at Jamtha, 16 kms from our present Civil Lines stadium. Once again this proposal was met with skeptism, yet Mr. Manohar's decisiveness saw through the construction of the Jamtha stadium, now considered as one of the best international cricket venue and stadium. In 2008, Jamtha stadium hosted its first international Test Match between India and Australia. A FEW NOTABLE FEATURES OF THE JAMTHA STADIUM ARE: Total Capacity - 44904. Corporate Boxes - 39 boxes with sitting capacity of 15 each. Members Stand - with a capacity of 2715. State of art Press box - capacity of 187 with advanced technology and hi-tech facilities. Entry Gates: 13 numbers of gates for easy approach to 4 stands. East Stand - 6 bays with total capacity of 16347. West Stand - 5 bays with total capacity of 13608. North Stand - 3 bays with total capacity of 3777. South Stand - 8 bays with total capacity of 11172. TILL NOW JAMTHA STADIUM HAS HOSTED: 6 Test Matches 12 T20I 3 IPL 4 Women's ODI 2 Woman's T20I

I had the blessed opportunity to visit Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Dargah during Urs 2025, and the experience was nothing short of divine and soul-soothing. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, spiritual, and deeply moving. Despite the large number of devotees gathered for Urs, the arrangements were well-managed. There was a calm, sacred energy in the air as we entered the dargah premises. The chants of "Ya Tajuddin Baba", the fragrance of rose petals and incense, and the sight of devotees in prayer created a very powerful spiritual aura. The Dargah Sharif itself is beautifully maintained. The white marble structure, green dome, and the intricately designed interiors reflect both heritage and serenity. We spent time offering fateha, praying quietly, and just absorbing the positive energy around us. It truly felt like a moment of connection with the divine. What touched us most was the hospitality of the staff and volunteers, who were courteous, helpful, and ensured that everyone got a chance to offer their prayers in peace. The langar (community meal) was another highlight—simple, but filled with warmth and spiritual essence. During Urs, the spiritual gatherings, qawwalis, and the sea of people from all faiths coming together in devotion made the visit unforgettable. It reminded us of the unifying message of Sufi saints like Baba Tajuddin Auliya (RA)—of love, peace, and compassion. 📍 Highly recommended to anyone seeking spiritual solace, historical insight, or just a peaceful space to reflect. Whether you are a believer or simply a seeker of peace, the dargah offers a truly divine experience.

The Japanese Rose Garden, located in the Civil Lines area of Nagpur, is a serene and picturesque floral oasis. The garden features a variety of vibrant roses and lush green shrubs arranged in the traditional Japanese style. It's a popular spot for leisurely activities such as walking, jogging, and yoga. Couples are drawn to this romantic setting with its panoramic views and refreshing breeze.
Visiting the Japanese Garden in Nagpur felt like a refreshing escape from the city hustle. The garden is lush and full of greenery, with winding walking tracks amidst tall trees that make it feel almost like a mini forest in the heart of town. I enjoyed a peaceful stroll here; the area is so well maintained and tranquil that it’s easy to forget you’re still in Nagpur. What stood out most was the trekking like experience. The uphill paths, especially around Seminary Hills, offer a light, enjoyable challenge for anyone who loves nature walks. Walking here felt invigorating like a blend of garden walk and soft trekking, perfect for fitness lovers or those simply wanting to immerse themselves in nature. If you visit after the rains, the greenery is even more vibrant, making it ideal for an early morning or evening walk. It’s a spot I’d recommend for anyone looking to unwind, take photos, or simply spend some quiet, active time outdoors...

Nothing "Japanese" or "Garden" about this place. Parking: 2 wheelers are parked at the front of the gate. 4 wheelers don't have a spot. The place is full over overgrown, and unkempt plants and trees. Walking on the tracks feels like walking through a thick foliage. Perhaps some would like it. Picnic area - all benches were occupied by couples. 10/- entry fee

This place must have been good many years back, but today it is a place flocked by "Love Birds"..you have couples in various intimate postures all over the place...and it is only general public which may get embarrassed!! There is nothing Japanese about it except probably the design.. Greenery is in plenty though..and Bamboo Clump/Clusters are all over which gives the place a distinct identity..with thick trees/foliage giving green cover all over... It is supposed to be a Japanese Rose Garden but of course Roses are not there always!!

Dropped by around 7:00 AM, and the cool breeze paired with dense shade made it perfect for a morning walk. Some parts felt a bit wild and slightly unkempt, but it actually gave the place a nice, natural vibe-almost like a mini trek. Saw people walking, doing stretches, and even playing badminton. Peaceful, green, and quietly alive.

Disappointing Experience at Japanese Garden, Seminary Hills, Nagpur I recently visited the Japanese Garden in Seminary Hills, Nagpur, hoping for a peaceful retreat amidst nature, but unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. Currently, the garden is undergoing renovation, and the entire area seems more like a construction site than a place for relaxation. Internal roads are cluttered with building materials iron rods, piles of cement, and other construction debris making it not just untidy but also hazardous for visitors. The once serene pathways are now lined with scattered garbage, further diminishing the garden’s charm. What’s even more disappointing is that despite the ongoing renovation, the authorities are still charging an entry fee. It feels unfair to pay for access when the place is clearly not in a condition to offer any meaningful experience. There’s little to explore, and the usual tranquil vibe of the Japanese-style landscaping is completely overshadowed by the chaos of construction work. In its current state, I would not recommend visiting the Japanese Garden. There are many better options in Nagpur for nature lovers and families, such as the Futala Lake, Ambazari Garden, or even a stroll through Seminary Hill’s forested trails. These spots offer a far more enjoyable and clean environment compared to the garden’s present condition. It would be more responsible for the authorities to temporarily close the garden during the renovation period, ensuring visitor safety and preserving its reputation. Until the work is completed and the garden is restored to its former beauty, it’s best to explore other, more well-maintained spots in the city. A disappointing visit overall, hopefully, the renovation brings positive changes, but for now, it’s not worth your time or money.

Specialty Museums
The Central Museum of Nagpur, established in 1863, is one of the largest and oldest museums in Central India. Under the guidance of Sir Richard Temple, it houses a diverse collection including dinosaur fossils, minerals, ancient coins, stone sculptures, weapons, tribal arts, manuscripts and paintings. The museum also features gardens and a cafeteria for visitors to enjoy. It offers an opportunity to explore historical evidence dating back millions of years and showcases remarkable artwork and sculptures from different time periods.
The Central Museum in Nagpur is a hidden gem for history enthusiasts and cultural explorers. Rich with heritage and meticulously curated exhibits, this museum offers a fascinating glimpse into India’s ancient past. One of the most captivating aspects of the museum is its remarkable collection of sculptures and shilalekhs (inscriptions). These stone inscriptions date back as far as the 10th century, with others from the 12th, 13th, and 16th centuries. They are written in Devanagari script, Sanskrit, and several local languages, reflecting the diverse linguistic and cultural history of the region. The main attraction, however, is nothing short of legendary—the Waghnakh (वाघनख), the iconic weapon used by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to eliminate the Mughal general Afzal Khan. This historical artifact, originally housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, is now proudly displayed here, making it a powerful symbol of Maratha valor and strategy. The entry fee is just ₹10 per person, making it accessible to all. Though a part of the museum is currently under renovation, and some sections are temporarily closed, the available exhibits are still enough to make your visit worthwhile. The water filter is available, free drinking water available and washroom also available which is neat and clean.

Great place to learn about Nagpur’s history! I visited the museum on a weekend and was surprised by how much there is to see. It has everything—from dinosaur bones and fossils to old weapons, coins, and tribal art. The building itself is beautiful and peaceful, with big halls and open lawns. The best part was the Natural History section where they show real fossils and stuffed animals. They also have QR codes near each exhibit to explain things, which is really helpful. Some parts need better lighting and a few screens weren’t working, but overall it’s clean and well-managed. Entry fee is just ₹10, totally worth it. Great place for students, families, or anyone interested in our culture.

They should renovate it as soon as possible. I used to visit very often about 15 years ago, and it was a peaceful experience. But yesterday, it was a total disappointment. They are investing in the maintenance of a huge place, paying salaries to staff, and the MSF included in the return ticket is only ₹10. In the name of a museum, there is just a single hall of weapons and a few stone sculptures.
NARGIS K — Google review
Entry fee is just ₹10 per person. The museum is still getting built. I went on a weekday and there were 2 other person. The building is painted in red and white stripes and reminded me of the British architecture that I have seen in kolkata The tour starts with stone sculpture unearthed at various places in and around the area. It would take about 15 mins if all sculptures are to be seen thoroughly and the details read The next is the museum of arms and ammunitions used. I have seen them many time across many museums thus spent about 10 mins to complete it After that you will come out and walk towards the exit. As you walk you can read through various sea forts and fort built during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji. Takes about 10 mins max. I think the entire museum needs a lot more content. Personally I love museums as it helps me connect with the history of the past. However for the population to drop in a lot of work is required. I am Sure it will take time as it also requires investments

The zero mile freedom park is the best place to visit in the morning or evening time to spend some time in garden and reading history of nagpur . In the zero mile freedom park war tank is available . The zero mile freedom park having one small fountain is also available to visit in the evening to capture photographs. In the park one demo metro railway is constructed. The zero mile freedom park having very cool surrounding environment. We visited the Zero Mile Freedom Fighter Park during our last trip to Nagpur, and it was a peaceful and memorable experience. The park is well-maintained and beautifully landscaped, offering a calm escape in the heart of the city. The highlight, of course, is the historical Zero Mile Stone and the monuments dedicated to freedom fighters. It’s a place that evokes pride and respect for India’s history. The information boards are informative and add educational value to the visit. It’s a great spot for a relaxed walk, quiet reflection, or simply spending time with family. The atmosphere was clean, and the surroundings felt safe and inviting. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Nagpur and interested in heritage and patriotism.

Nice space for a small event like a drum circle as it has an amphitheater. Better to visit at night when the lights come on. A T55 army tank adorns the park with a history wall that has information about Nagpur.

Located just 6 kilometers north of Nagpur's city center, this historic site was established by the former rulers of Nagpur and holds significant cultural importance.
Very big campus temple. This is situated on Seminary hills and we have to climb more than 50 steps to reach here. There are several statues of God. There is a big hall for community feeding (भन्डारा) . Two large areas with tin roof where various types of worship were going on. Crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but well managed.

Jai Shree Ram🙏♥️ This Hanuman temple is truly powerful and beautiful. Beyond Lord Hanuman, you'll find all gods, goddesses, Rishis, and Navagrahas darshan here. It's a vast space where every corner breathes peace. Every evening is peaceful, but the Saturday 7:45 PM aarti is electrifying – the devotees / Bajrang dal energy during the prayers is simply transformative. Once Experience the peace here, and you'll crave to return every day. I bet you. Ram Ram pa_love_vi

Device place. Luckily I attended the evening Aarti and one must reach there by 7 for the aarti. I guess it's the most famous temple of Nagpur and always crowded. Make sure to go with some prasad. Huge campus and many other small temples are there, usually it will take around 15-20 mins of time to visit each temple .

Telankhedi Hanuman Temple — Nagpur Telankhedi Hanuman Mandir (also called Telangkhedi Hanuman Temple or Shri Sankatmochan Bade Hanuman Mandir) is an ancient and much beloved temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located in the Seminary Hills / Civil Lines / Telankhedi area of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Location & Access The temple sits on a hillock in the Seminary Hills area, near Telankhedi Garden, Futala Lake, and close to Kalyaneshwar Shiv Mandir. It is approx 5-6 km from Nagpur city center. Nearest metro/bus access: Gaddigodam Square Metro Station (~1.9 km), LAD College, Dharampeth College are among nearby ones. Several city buses also stop close by. Hours: Opens early morning (around 5:30 AM) till about 9 PM. Entry is free. History & Significance Believed to be very old — local tradition holds the temple (or the site) is hundreds of years old; some say as far back as “Satyuga” in myth. It is considered a Swayambhu Hanuman temple in some accounts — meaning the idol is believed to be self-manifested. “Sankat Mochan” is part of its name — Hanuman in the form that relieves devotees from hardships (“sankat”). Architecture & Premises Located on a slope / hill, so reaching it involves climbing a number of steps — this elevation gives good views and a sense of being somewhat removed from city bustle. Inside the temple complex there are many small shrines (mandirs) of other deities: Ram, Saraswati, Ganpati, Panchmukhi Hanuman, etc. There is a large hall for community feeding (भंडारा) during special occasions and regular times. The site is clean, spacious, tranquil (especially in early morning/evening). Reviews highlight its maintenance. Religious & Cultural Life Devotees throng the temple especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which are considered auspicious for Hanuman worship. Also on Hanuman Jayanti the crowd is much bigger. Rituals: regular aarti (morning and evening), prayer offerings. The atmosphere during aarti is described as very energetic / charged by devotees.

The Telangkhadi Hanuman Temple is a peaceful and spiritually uplifting place dedicated to Lord Hanuman, surrounded by scenic greenery and a calm atmosphere. Located slightly away from the city crowd, this temple offers a perfect spot for devotees to connect with divine energy and inner peace. The surroundings are clean and beautifully maintained, and the natural setting adds to the temple’s charm. The chanting of Hanuman Chalisa, the ringing bells, and the overall positive energy make this a must-visit place for both devotees and nature lovers

The place is located just beside Samosewala. A calm and beautiful place from inside. When you enter the temple climbing the stairs, you can never imagine that there's a lot more inside. There's a lot of space behind the Hanuman temple where people can perform hawan. There is also a place called 'Navgrah' which means 9 planets. The back side which people generally don't notice is widely spread and beautiful. You can sit there and experience the calmness and peace.

To have 'Darshan' we visited Sankatmochan hanuman Temple located in Telangkhedi, near futala lake in Nagpur. It has a peaceful atmosphere & realise that this is good place for spiritual activity. The premises includes a good hall/auditorium for musical, prayer & cultural activities. On the day visited it was Saturday. Outside of the temple there are flower shops and also very good cafeteria where Indian veg food was available at a reasonable price.

A hidden old temple inside the city. I have visited here for the first time and could see that the temple is very old. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. There you'll find some Pujaris always chanting mantras and it literally purifies your soul. The architecture is really nice. You can also sit here on the seats. If you're in Nagpur then it's a must visit place. It's free to visit and parking availability is there.

I am glad to share more about my wonderful experience at the Kalyaneshwar Shiv Temple. Beyond its stunning architecture and spiritual ambiance, there were several other aspects that made the visit truly special. The temple's serene and scenic location added to the overall charm of the experience. Nestled amidst nature, the temple seemed like a tranquil oasis away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The gentle rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds seemed to harmonize with the divine energy of the temple, creating a sense of harmony and oneness with nature. Inside the temple, the sanctum sanctorum was adorned with ornate decorations and illuminated by the soft glow of oil lamps. The atmosphere inside was serene, and I felt an overwhelming sense of peace as I stood before the magnificent Shiva ling. It was a moment of spiritual connection that I will cherish forever. The temple premises were clean and well-maintained, reflecting the dedication and care of the temple management and the staff. The peaceful and organized environment enhanced the overall experience, allowing devotees to focus on their prayers and meditation without any distractions. I was also impressed by the temple's efforts to preserve and promote Indian culture and traditions. The temple authorities regularly organized cultural events, bhajans, and discourses, which offered an opportunity for devotees to engage more deeply with their faith and learn about the rich heritage of the region. Additionally, the temple's charitable initiatives and community outreach programs were commendable. It was heartwarming to see the temple actively involved in serving the underprivileged and contributing positively to society. This aspect of the temple's work added a sense of purpose and social responsibility to the spiritual experience. In conclusion, my visit to the Kalyaneshwar Shiv Temple was nothing short of remarkable. It combined the beauty of art and architecture with the divine energy that permeated the atmosphere. The temple's commitment to preserving culture, nurturing spirituality, and serving the community left a profound impact on me. I would highly recommend anyone seeking a spiritually enriching and culturally rewarding experience to visit the Kalyaneshwar Shiv Temple.

The Lake is fine in terms of Natural Beauty BUT attention of authorities are required for keeping the place clean out there. Natural Beauty is good but people throw the garbage alongside the beautiful lake. Moreover, there are Benches but not alongside the lake. Where there are Benches, lake views are restricted from there. Placement is an issue. More Surprisingly, Public Toilets are locked, so you don't have Basic facilities... Jaago Nagpur Municipality Jaago...

Futala lake is very famous in nagpur but I don't think it is worth it place... Only couples are here and nothing more... View is also not much attractive... But so many food stalls are here where anyone can have some local and streat food... Fountain is not functioning all days... Fountain will work only special days just like 26 January and 15 August etc...

When I saw the coins, a type of curiosity arrived in my mind. I had many questions in my mind. I asked too many questions to the person who was present there. He answered all my questions in the polite way. The experience was very good. In this place we get to know about our history. Indian history as well as currency in different places of the world. I want to share that the person who was present there. He was just came to nagpur from an exhibition. It was holiday for everyone. Having said that he was there and gave me an hour. But they are great with the principles they maintained. I absolutely loved it. If you're around Nagpur, visit here, you will be happy for sure.

The park frequently introduces appealing packages for groups, as well as exclusive offers for corporate groups, schools, and colleges.
Located in the heart of Nagpur. Many amenities are there. Because of road construction and metro's construction it was closed for many days. Marriages, receptions and birthdays also takes place. The landscaped water park, west of Gaza City,[7] featured 3 swimming pools, a canal 100 meters long, three water slides, ponds with pedalos, a restaurant, a cafe, and a quiet area shaded by a tent where adults could sit on carpets and listen to music.[2][3][5] The atmosphere was secular, with popular secular tunes playing over the loudspeakers and women in international-style clothing.[5] A lifting of the government ban on women smoking in public made it legal for women to smoke the popular nargilas at the Park's cafe.[8] The park was built with materials assembled from war-torn buildings as well as materials brought through the Gaza Strip smuggling tunnels.[2] Construction was completed in six months.[2] Admission was 10 shekels, the equivalent of about $2.60 as of mid-2010, but using the water slide costs another 5 shekels, and going into the pool costs an extra 20 shekels.[2] The park cost $2 million to build.[5] According to Ayman Barawi, the Park's financial manager, "This park is a form of escape. People need a chance to escape from the stress. We brought 'air' to the people.
