(Translated by Google) Yongle Palace is located on the east side of Longquan Village, 3 kilometers north of Ruicheng County, Shanxi Province. The original site was in Yongle Town, Yongji County. Due to the Sanmenxia Water Conservancy Project, all the buildings and murals were moved to the new site in Ruicheng County in 1959 and have been restored and preserved to this day. Yongle Palace, formerly known as Dachun Yang Wanshou Palace, is very grand in scale, with a sparse and orderly layout, majestic halls, and the entire building complex is very spectacular. According to records in relevant Taoist books and inscriptions in the palace, this is the birthplace of Taoist Lu Dongbin. After Lu's death, the villagers changed his former residence into "Lv Gong Temple", which was expanded into a Taoist temple in the late Jin Dynasty. In the fourth year of Shaoding (1231), the Taoist temple was destroyed by fire. At that time, Qiu Chuji and others, the leaders of the Quanzhen sect of New Taoism, were deeply favored by the imperial court. The founder Lu Dongbin was highly respected. The following year, the temple was promoted to a palace, and the real person was given the title "Tianzun". He also sent Taoists from the north and south of Hedong to advise Pan Dechong. Presided over the construction of this palace. According to relevant documents, construction of Yongle Palace started in 1247, and the murals in Chunyang Hall were completed in 1358, the 18th year of Emperor Shun’s reign in the Yuan Dynasty. The construction period lasted for more than 11 years, almost the same as the Yuan Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, small-scale repairs and repainting of murals were carried out. The main buildings of Yongle Palace are mainly distributed along the north-south central axis, including the palace gate, Dragon and Tiger Hall, Sanqing Hall, Chunyang Hall, Chongyang Hall, etc., covering an area of more than 86,000 square meters. The palace gate is a building from the Qing Dynasty. The rest were built in the Yuan Dynasty. Yongle Palace is the earliest existing Taoist official temple and the most complete group of Yuan Dynasty buildings currently preserved. Yongle Palace is famous for its preserved Yuan Dynasty murals that are rare in the world. There are exquisite murals in several main halls of Yongle Palace, covering an area of 960 square meters. They have rich themes and superb brushwork. They are the most beautiful murals in the history of Chinese painting and art. masterpiece. Dragon and Tiger Hall, also known as Wuji Gate, was originally the gate of Yongle Palace. The temple has a towering platform. The temple is five rooms wide and six rafters deep. The interior beams are simple. The murals inside the temple depict twenty-six guardians of the immortal world, including Shen Tu, Yu Lei, Shen General, Shen Li, City God, and Land. The gods, holding various weapons and solemn armors, look majestic. Although the mural is slightly damaged, the spirit of Yuan Zuo still exists. Sanqing Hall, also known as Wuji Hall, is the largest hall in Yongle Palace. It was named because it originally enshrined the three statues of Yuqing, Shangqing and Taiqing in Taoist mythology. The platform base is tall and flat, majestic. The hall is seven rooms wide and four rooms deep. The top of the hall is connected with beautiful yellow, green and blue colored glaze reliefs, forming five ridges. The workmanship is exquisite and the colors are bright; the owl tail is high. It is majestic, beautiful in color, and the immortals and animals are delicate, lively, and lifelike. The interior of the hall is spacious and bright, with colorful paintings on the top. The caisson is exquisitely carved, and figures, flowers, dragons, phoenixes, unicorns and other shapes are in various shapes and colors. The paintings on each component are well preserved, including paintings and sculptures, and a combination of colored sculptures. Very rare. The hanging statue of Tianzun, with a plump face and a calm expression, stands on the sea waves facing the wind, with a vast sea of clouds behind him, just like the Penglai fairyland. The hall is covered with murals, with a height of 4.26 meters, a total length of 94.68 meters, and a total area of 403.3 square meters. They were painted by Ma Junxiang and others in Luoyang, Henan in the second year of Taiding in the Yuan Dynasty (1325). The content is "Chaoyuan Picture", which is the Taoist worship of gods. The image of the ancestor Yuanshi Tianzun is centered on the main image of eight emperors and queens, surrounded by golden boys, jade girls, fugitives, strong men, emperors, stars, immortals, immortals, Zuo Fu, You Bi, etc., a total of 290 There are many statues, with floating auspiciousness on their backs and auspicious clouds wrapped around their feet, creating a fairyland scene. The main image of the mural is more than 3 meters high, and the waiter is more than 2 meters high. There are four or five layers arranged in front and back. The composition is rigorous, the scene is broad, the characters are depicted in detail, and the expressions are lifelike. The painting method of the murals in this hall adopts the method of "heavy color hooking and filling", and the colors are mostly azurite and stone green, which make them appear simple, natural, vigorous and powerful. On the clothes and crowns, a large amount of lime powder is used to gild. It makes the priority of the picture more clear, colorful and exquisite, which can be regarded as a masterpiece among ancient paintings. Chunyang Hall, also known as Luzu Hall, is five rooms wide, three rooms deep and has eight rafters. It has a single eave and nine ridges. The interior of the hall is supported by only four golden pillars and the beams span four rooms, making the space of the hall appear unusually open. . The four walls and fan walls of the hall are covered with a total of 52 paintings depicting the life and deeds of Lu Dongbin, "Pictures of Emperor Chunyang's Immortal Journey". Each painting is self-contained and separated from each other by natural scenery such as mountains, rivers, clouds, trees and rocks. Even, the pavilions, wine shops, teahouses, garden private schools in the picture are well-organized and well-proportioned. Various figures such as noble officials, bachelors, merchants, civilians, farmers, beggars, etc. have attractive shapes and different expressions. These portraits are Precious information for studying the living conditions of the Chinese people in the Yuan Dynasty. On the back of the shrine in the temple, there is also a mural of Lu Chunyang asking Zhongli. The picture is broad, the scenery is beautiful, the brushwork is concise, and the technique is exquisite, which is a typical Yuan Dynasty painting style. The murals in Chunyang Hall were painted by Zhang Zunli and others, a disciple of Zhu Haogu, in the 18th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1358). The Chongyang Hall has five bays. The missionary activities of Wang Chongyang, the founder of Taoism Quanzhen Religion, are depicted in the style of comic strips in the hall. There are 49 paintings in total. The depictions are delicate and have strong artistic appeal, just like the Chunyang Hall.

(Translated by Google) You can enjoy the world-famous murals of Yongle Palace in peace and quiet. The main "Chaoyuan Picture" is in the main hall. The light is slightly dark, and the entourage in the museum will stare at your behavior anxiously. The other halls are more relaxed, and you can enjoy it freely. In fact, the ban on photography is a very strange rule. Important museums in the world only have "no flash". For the sake of convenience, it is prohibited here. I just feel that banning flash is to respect and protect cultural relics, and other things have less relevant meaning. There is a copying and restoration center here, which contains many similar large works. It is worth asking before entering and visiting. Although this is also a forbidden area, the people in the place are kind, and as long as they respect each other, it is a good start.

Mountains
Huashan Mountain, also known as Flower Mountain, is located 120 kilometers east of Xi'an City in China. With an elevation of 2200 meters above sea level, it is one of the Five Great Mountains of China and offers breathtaking natural beauty that has inspired legendary tales of martial arts masters. The landscape features sharp terrain and mist-covered peaks reminiscent of classical Chinese paintings.
What an experience! Our group took the cable car up and then split off in to those who wanted to go to the ‘easier’ peak and those of us who wanted to scale the Dragon’s Back portion of the mountain. The climb wasn’t as difficult as we thought it would be and the views were absolutely spectacular, we were very lucky to have a clear and sunny day. We only had a few hours here but could have easily spent a day, there are places to stop to get food and drink - I would recommend the ice cream. The hike itself didn’t appear as dangerous or difficult as it’s made out to be, but you definitely have to watch your step and be careful of those who suddenly stop in your path taking a rest so that you don’t bump in to them. If you spend the day here then it’s very busy to get on the gondola and leave, so be prepared to wait.

It was a rainy day, but the view was worth the cold. A marvellous experience that is an essential stop in Xian.🏔️❤️ Suggested hiking shoes and windbreaker.

We visited here as our first stop on a 5 day Xian tour. It was a bit cloudy so we had some beautiful views with clouds. We first took a bus to the Mountain entrance where we had to ride special HuaShan buses to the cable car station. The cable cars are quite modern and offered incredible views of the special mountain features. After exiting the cable cars, there are 2 main options, climb the North Peak or the South Peak. We only took the North Peak as it had the famous HuaShanLunJian (DeepSeek intro): Huashan Lunjian (literally "Discussing Swords on Mount Hua") is a legendary martial arts contest from Chinese wuxia (martial heroes) fiction. Popularized by Jin Yong's novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes, it refers to a grand tournament held atop Mount Hua where the world's greatest martial artists duel to determine the ultimate champion and claim a powerful martial arts manual. The term is now a popular Chinese metaphor for any high-level competition or summit meeting among masters of a field. (End of intro) After descending, there are many lucky artifacts and shops. PSA: Beware of scammers, they have people pretending to be customers to try to impress on you that the shop is giving them a fantastic deal when it fact they are incredibly expensive. We were looking at some herbs when the fake customer insisted the shop first grind the herbs before weighing it, saying there will be some weight loss due to the grinding, the shop agreed only when the customer agreed to buy it once grounded We almost fell for it. The fake customer also pretended that his boss called him on the phone. We did agree but and they ground the herbs, then the price was announced and it was incredibly expensive (remember they didn’t weigh it before so we had no idea how much we were buying) We called their bluff and walked out. Luckily they didn’t gang up on us. It was a lesson well learned. Beware!!! Almost ruined a wonderful event.

Many ways to enter the mountain. We took a 45min bus up towards the West summit, followed by a cable car up and another 30min hike towards the west summit but it was crowded so we decide to hike up to the South summit first and then downwards to the west summit which turned out to be a great idea. There were a few rest stops with food stalls and merchandise purchases and we found one with really nice food. Slightly more expensive but worth a try. We had corndogs, dumpling soup, cold noodles 凉皮and Chinese hamburger 肉夹馍. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes, dress light as it can get pretty hot. Expect lots of narrow stairs with chain rails and some parts even without handrails. To get to the top of the South summit, steps were small and almost vertical so you will need both hands to get up. love this. the mountain tops on a good day are so beautiful and truly are amazing. the stairs (manual walking all the way up) is a challenge, but they do offer cable car services (which offer some truly amazing views, albeit a little scary sometimes 😅). Definitely a must visit if you go to Xi'An.

We joined a local tour and took nearly 2hrs from Xian to reach the park entrance. Then another 50min on a park bus to finally reach the park. We rode the toboggan to the cable car station. Took us another 20min to finally reach the West peak station. From there we walked to South peak, Nantianmen and end at the West peak cable car station. Quite a challenging hike, mostly uphill steps. We travelled 7 hours to spend 2 hours hiking there. It's better to stay a night in the vicinity and start your hike early.

From huashanbei station, walk straight out and turn left to see bus terminal. There are many touts to offer 5¥ “taxi” or even offer us free “taxi” to take us to Huashan tourist center. Pls do not take them, I think they will drive u to buy expensive tickets from their agent. U can take the free shuttles bus or 5¥ blue direct bus(official) to the tourist center. U can buy tickets online via trip.com for the Huashan bus & entrance ticket to cable cab center, and cable ticket is also available for sale at the cable car station. All official. Total u need 3 tickets, shuttle from tourist center to cable car, entrance and cable car ticket From train station, take either blue bus 5¥ (direct) or free line 1 or lin 2 bus at bus terminal (multiple stops).

Your experience will depend a lot on the weather. Not worth going if the area is covered in mist. I was up there and there was no view as you can see in the video. Gets insanely crowded. The easiest approach is by cable car to the west summit. You can spend 1 to 2 hours, making your way to the plank walk and down again by cable, all very easy except for stairs. If you want to do the plank walk, it will help a lot if you can speak Chinese. This attracts very few foreigners despite what you see on YouTube and the staff do not speak English.

You can also choose a short luge down at 30RMB per pax. View is breathtaking. Will go back again.

Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum

Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum is home to the famous terra-cotta warriors, crafted around the 3rd century BC. The museum, opened in 1979, encloses three major pits where visitors can see lifelike sculptures of warriors and horses. The soldiers exhibit remarkable individuality with their various features and attire.
A must-visit landmark in Xi’an — the world-famous Terracotta Warriors site. You can easily take a Didi ride from downtown Xi’an for around 100 RMB. It’s highly recommended to book your entrance ticket in advance to avoid confusion at the gate, especially for foreign visitors. Official guides are available right at the entrance and can greatly enhance your visit with detailed historical explanations. Inside, you’ll find three main excavation pits open to visitors, along with a museum showcasing ancient weapons and artifacts discovered at the site. After finishing the tour, you’ll pass through a lively food street — perfect for lunch — before continuing to nearby Lishan Mountain, believed to be the actual tomb area of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Plan about 1–2 hours for the visit. It’s an unforgettable experience that perfectly combines history, culture, and the legacy of China’s first emperor.

Visiting the Terracotta Army is one of the most impressive experiences in China. Seeing thousands of clay warriors — each with unique facial features and details — is absolutely breathtaking. The site is well organized, with clear signs and a smooth visitor route. It’s best to come early in the morning to avoid the big crowds. Tickets can be bought online, and there’s a free shuttle bus between the entrance and the main hall. You can also see exhibitions and reconstructions showing how the army was discovered. Overall, it’s a fascinating and unforgettable place — definitely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime.

A must-visit historical site in China. The site is large and the actual museum is far from the ticket entrance, so advisable to buy the electric buggy tickets (additional cost per person) if travelling with seniors, kids or just unable to walk too far. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance but you will be hounded by tons of tour guides charging few hundred yuan to be your guide once inside. You can rent an English audio guide for 40yuan (if i remember correctly) after entering instead. After touring the 3 pits, you are forced to exit through a maze of restaurants and shops - another unnecessarily long walk. Once you finally reach the entrance again, you can queue up for a bus to take you 1.5km to the mausoleum site, where it is just a few more uncovered pits. This is another huge site, and you have to pay for another electric car buggy to bring you around because it is quite impossible to walk when you are already so tired! Once we got off the buggy at the first stop, we were told we must follow one direction (flow) from the first stop to the last stop and are not allowed to turn back if we missed anything. This was told to us in Chinese... so Im not sure if foreigners would have been informed of this seemingly important instruction. The actual tomb of the emperor is not yet open. So this site is really just giving some history of the site, some other uncovered pits featuring horses and bronze charriots, and a very large museum showcasing how they made the statues and figurines in the olden days. Overall, the site could have used a lot more signages to guide us in the right direction. Felt a bit annoyed having to pay for the electric buggy on top of the already expensive ticket fees at two sites.

Seeing these magnificent statues in person, after years of only encountering them in history books, was an absolutely unforgettable experience. This is a fantastic museum and an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the area. Truly a historical marvel! We were fortunate to have a fantastic tour guide who enhanced the visit immensely. She not only provided us with amazing historical facts but also entertained us with funny, relevant stories, making the experience both educational and highly engaging.

Amazing artwork eveywhere. The best place to buy clay soliders is in the back in a at shop that was kinda hidden from the front shops. They sell life size replicas and all the other smaller sizes. Skip the tourist shops at the front selling plastic. One shop owner even gave them me a pottery factory tour after buying a statue. Once in a lifetime experience . I loved it!

A fantastic day! You will need at least 2.5hours inside the exhibition complex to absorb the wonder and glory of the terracotta warriors! The mausoleum is 50 mins away from the city centre - we took a didi and it was around USD15 one way. There are 3 pits to enjoy along with a host of displays, just like a museum. Food choices are plenty and toilets are aplenty

I can honestly say that visiting the Terracotta Army was an overwhelming and deeply moving experience. The sheer scale of this place is something photos and documentaries simply cannot capture—you have to see it with your own eyes. I was utterly amazed and profoundly glad I made this trip; it truly is worth the once-in-a-lifetime effort. The Pit 1 (The Infantry): This is the main attraction and where the breathtaking scale hits you. Seeing thousands of life-sized soldiers, chariots, and horses lined up in ancient battle formation, guarding the First Emperor for over two millennia of the Qin Dynasty, is just jaw-dropping. I was amazed by the Bronze Chariots. The intricate detail and preservation of these half-scale pieces are often called the "Crown of Bronzes" for a reason. Warning: The site is huge and popular, so try to arrive early to beat the biggest crowds, I will recommend consider hiring an audio guide to truly appreciate the historical context.

China's first emperor is sleeping here
Dodou W — Google review
It's quite misleading to call this place a parking lot. This is the actual tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. The final resting place of the first emperor of a united middle kingdom. After walking for miles (took a wrong turn, failing light, about to give up 🤤), I finally arrived at the top of a flight of steps, where an inconspicuous tomb stone erected in front of a hill with the base stretching as far as my eyes could see. I told myself : "This has got to be it!". Awesome! (Until the tomb is being excavated, we will never know what's inside, the whole world is waiting with bated breath for the day)
Sukuan H — Google review
No doubt thousands of statues still remain to be unearthed at this archaeological site, which was not discovered until 1974. Qin (d. 210 B.C.), the first unifier of China, is buried, surrounded by the famous terracotta warriors, at the centre of a complex designed to mirror the urban plan of the capital, Xianyan. The small figures are all different; with their horses, chariots and weapons, they are masterpieces of realism and also of great historical interest. 🇮🇳

Distance approximately 1.5 km. No additional cost. When you get there, take the train. The cost of the car is 15 yuan per person. It is recommended to use the service. Don't walk at all because it's very far. When we were driving it looked like we were going up a mountain. We went to see 3 locations in total: Pit K9901 and Pit K0006 that are currently being excavated. I also saw the officials working. And the last point is the name plate in front of Qin Shi's tomb. Behind the sign is a large mound of earth where the royal body was buried. Each point must take the electric train to go. When we reached the final point, there was a name board in front of the grave. It's a bit of a walk. The size of the mound where he was buried was larger than the pyramids in Egypt. If you look from a distance, it's a hill full of trees. It is said that there are valuable treasures buried within the tomb. Huaqing Palace

Hot Springs & Geysers
Huaqing Palace, also referred to as Huaqing Hot Springs, is a renowned historical site that has served as an imperial palace for over 3000 years. Situated at the foot of Mount Li, it was initially built by Emperor Zhouyouwang of the Western Zhou Dynasty and later used by emperors from various dynasties including Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang for winter retreats.
This historical site is tied to the tragic love story of Emperor Xuanzong and his beloved concubine Yang Yuhuan (Yang Guifei). Yang was one of the Four Great Beauties of Ancient China, but during the An Lushan Rebellion, officials blamed her influence for the empire's troubles. As a result, she was forced to take her own life at Mawei Po in 756 AD. Today, Mawei Po is a memorial park where visitors can see statues and inscriptions honoring Yang Guifei's sorrowful fate. Her story has been immortalized in poetry, opera, and literature, including Bai Juyi's famous poem, "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow". Like Romeo and Juliet, all great love stories end in tragedy like this one except this one is not fiction as historical records have verified more or less. So sad 😭. I wonder if I’m related to Yang Yuhuan since we share the same family name (楊)… I understand how it’s a curse to be so damn gorgeous hehe!

Loads of traditional shows, great exhibition halls, and generally very well maintained place for a couple of hours to wander around 😀

Well kept and well organised, get yourself a guide or follow a tour group around to get the download on all the back stories! Fascinating history ancient and recent plenty to see. For those looking for a challenge make sure to bring your hiking shoes! We went during the off season so no shows and renovation works.

As I embarked on an unforgettable journey with my dear friends from Morocco and Yemen, we found ourselves immersed in the enchanting allure of Huaqing Palace, nestled amidst the majestic landscapes of Xi'an, China. Our adventure was marked by discovery, awe-inspiring sights, and profound cultural experiences that left an indelible mark on our hearts. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the grandeur of Huaqing Palace, its ancient architecture standing as a testament to centuries of history and tradition. The entrance fee of 120 yuan granted us access to a world of wonder, where every corner revealed a new story waiting to be unveiled. Eager to explore every facet of this historical gem, we opted to embark on a cable car ride, an additional 40 yuan well spent. As we ascended to the mountaintop, the panoramic views took our breath away, offering a sweeping vista of lush greenery and the sprawling grounds below. The cable car journey itself was an adventure, allowing us to soar above the landscape and soak in the beauty of our surroundings. Upon reaching the summit, we were greeted by the serene tranquility of the temple perched atop the mountain. Stepping into its hallowed halls, we were enveloped by a sense of reverence, as if time itself had stood still within these sacred walls. The intricate architecture and ornate decorations spoke volumes about the rich cultural heritage of Huaqing Palace, inviting us to delve deeper into its storied past. Descending from the mountaintop, our exploration continued as we wandered through the myriad temples and museums that dotted the landscape. Each step revealed new treasures, from ancient artifacts to beautifully landscaped gardens, each offering a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of Chinese history and culture. But beyond its historical significance, Huaqing Palace also captivated us with its natural beauty. The tranquil ponds, lush gardens, and towering trees provided a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, inviting us to pause and reflect amidst the serene surroundings. As the sun began to set on our unforgettable day at Huaqing Palace, we couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to experience such a breathtaking destination with cherished friends by our side. Our journey had been filled with moments of wonder, laughter, and camaraderie, leaving us with memories that would last a lifetime.

Really interesting with the little stories about how the emperor and the concubines used the facilities. Will take about 2 hours to go through it all. You can see remains of the bathhouses used during Tang dynasty. I would recommend that you combine this with a cable car ride to the top of the nearby mountain as well as the park Tang Paradise.

Banpo Museum is a fascinating destination that showcases objects from the Banpo archaeological site, revealing a 6,000-year-old civilization. Situated on the relics of Neolithic Yangshao culture, it offers an enriching experience for history enthusiasts. Visitors can easily access this museum by driving eastward for Lintong or taking City Bus U5 (306) from the railway station's east square.
6000 years ago... banpo village ruled by women. Quiet place. Not so many tourists. Very dusty. If you want to see actual village, skeletons, burial sites, earthen wears, etc. May finish in an hour or so.not as famous as the other sites in china. Worth to see past culture.

Worth visiting if you have already hit up the other big tourist attractions in the area. They have excavated a village from 6000 years ago. Lots of earthen jars used to bury children. The outside activities were all closed when we went (January).

Close to Subway Line 1 - Banpo Station (Exit A) If you have the time, this is an interesting place to vist. 6000 year old relics & remnants of a civilization is something you don't see every day. Original excavation sites makes this visit interesting. This place doesn't have the grander of the Terracotta Warriors, But it is fascinating in its own realm. Surrounding tall buildings makes you wonder (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) the city planners were thinking when they allowed all the construction- makes you wonder how much history was destroyed. Not crowded during the visit; 55CNY entrance fee in October 2019.

Absolute gem. Tells you a lot about how the Neanderthals in Xi’an 6000 years ago lived and built their houses. It is also very accessible by the nearby Banpo metro station.

I wouldn't go as far as saying "must see" but it isn't every day you see 6000 year old skeletons. Some of the museum buildings look run down and derelict but the main excavation site building is pretty incredible and the gallery has some interesting exhibits. I'd say go there if you have time!

Turned out to be quite an interesting and modern museum. The "kids" area is very interesting, and for 20 yuan they can help you make fire (and light a torch) using prehistoric techniques!

Lijing Former Residence

Sights & Landmarks
Architectural Buildings
(Translated by Google) Li Jing's former residence, also known as Dongli Garden, is located in Sanyuan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, China, 3 kilometers away from the northern suburbs of the city center. The park retains the Ming and Qing Dynasty style of gardens, covering an area of 48 acres. According to legend, the garden was the former residence of Li Jing, the general of the Tang Dynasty and Duke of Wei. He conquered the north and south for many years and opened up territories. He was a famous military strategist in the Tang Dynasty. He was later written in classical literature as the King of Pagoda and the father of Nezha. Coupled with the recent outstanding box office performance of Nezha's movies, many tourists also visited Li Jing's former residence. In 1930, Yang Hucheng lived here when he was in charge of Shaanxi, so it is also called Yanghucheng Garden. After the Xi'an Incident, Zhou Enlai came here to discuss with Yang Hucheng. In 1992, Li Jing's former residence was considered a key protection unit. Although the attraction is not big, it is a must-visit attraction when visiting Mihara.
