It's a small market with not many vendors. Most of them sell cooked spiders and insects, some of them sell boiled eggs. It looked quite clean around. I stopped there for a short time just to use the toilet and took a look around. The sellers were very friendly to let me see around without buying anything because some of those scared me.

Here you can eat deep fried tarantula, scorpions and other animals. Most of them taste sweet because they are soaked in sugar/honey. It is not clear how fresh the food is, so be careful.

Really fun stop on the way to Siem Reap. Saw live tarantulas and got to hold them which was fun. Seeing all the insects was quite the experience. We tried tarantula and it was surprisingly very good…the seasoning was great. Only need about 10-15minutes here. Also a good spot for dried fruit snacks on the road.

I thought it would be interesting with "alive spiders", but there were only 2 alive with 2 girls asking for 1 dollar for 1 picture. A few tents are selling fried spiders, worms and bugs. Most of the tents are selling fried vegetables and dried sugar fruits for tourists. To use the WC you (tourist) must pay 1000 reals, if you are Cambodian it's free. If you don't go, you don't miss anything at all.

Look...spiders are my worst fear, so it's big that I walk amidst these people who carry the tarantulas around and let you hold them. All the things they have for sale is quite interesting. I'd advise to buy a pomelo not pre peeled. You want to do that yourself just to be safe. I did have a bad experience where a girl put a tarantula on me even tho I said a firm no! It was a bit traumatic to be honest...so be careful!

Worldwide famous Khmer snack - deep fried tarantula! Bought 10 pcs at 6.5 USD in year 2020. It's flavoured with sweet and spicy seasonings. Don't miss it if you pass by this area! In April year 2024, the price is raised to 1 USD per piece.

The property is really nice, food very good but it is directly located at the main highway to Siem Reap. This means traffic noise 24/365 and dust in general. We had extra bad luck due to 2 weddings going on at the same moment with equally irritating and loud music. Our room was not prepared as he seemed to have forgotten our booking. so double check with him if you do book. After staying in the room for an hour or so we decided to leave as we anticipated a night without sleeping. Rico, the owner, demanded full pay for the night. This did not seem reasonable. We offered to pay half and finally paid what he asked for as he became pretty agressive. Will never go again and will only recommend to die hard motor drivers (this does seem to be Rico's passion) who bring good quality earplugs and/or are used to lots of traffice noise. :-)

I’ve been to Mekong River through Vietnam once. But this time, Mekong River is connected to Tonle Sap which it makes a wonderful experience. I’ve always wanted to go to Tonle Sap because I learnt about their history way back then in secondary school. The tour boat costs 100USdollar for the whole boat! There are only 6 of us there. If you want to try experiencing Tonle Sap, you can try Sok Chamroeun Tour Boat. Highly recommended!

The Beautiful Like in Cambodia

One of the best tourist attractions of Kampong Chhnang must be the floating village. First, you catch a tuk tuk to the tourist port area (about 5 minutes from downtown) and then a local boatperson takes you down to the riverside and helps you get in a small boat. It takes about thirty minutes to get to the actual floating village, passing a mosque and several groups of fishing boats on the way. The village itself is made up of 100s of clusters of 6 to 8 house boats lashed together and anchored in place. Often there is a communal deck area and a small shop (like a mini mart) attached as well. The house boats range from the very crude such as a tarp over one end of a canoe to the sophisticated, including boats with solar panels and satellite dishes. The villagers go about their daily lives of cooking, doing laundry, repairing boats, playing with kids and dogs and so on, paying little or no attention to the tourists who are there to observe them. At $25-30 (depending on your negotiating skills), it is not the cheapest attraction perhaps but it is well worth it in my opinion

Highlight of my Siem Reap trip was visiting a floating village in Siem Reap. People there live outside the world of convenience. They use alum to filter lake water for cooking, drinking and washing. 😳. Visiting there was a reminder of all the things we have to be grateful for. 🫶

It's the biggest lake in Southeast-Asia and it's definitely impressive. We visited during the dry season, so during our boat tour we got to see the way the houses on stilts were constructed. The sunset is stunning.

There are several floating villages around Tonle Sap Lake, where people have adapted their lifestyles to the changing water levels with houses, schools, and small shops scattered along the river and lake. It’s about a 40minute drive from Siem Reap city, a great spot to visit when you feel like taking a short break from the temples. During the dry season, some areas become too shallow or muddy for boats to enter, so it’s best to check the conditions before you go. The sunset over the lake was absolutely unforgettable.

A huge lake that shared with 5 provinces. We take a boat through Kampong Phluk, nearby Siem Reap. It took us around 30 minutes to reach here from the town. The lake is nice especially during sunset. You cannot see the shore of the other side from here. There are also few floating village that made for tourist attractions area and you can enter here for 22 usd. Totally an experience being here

This is the largest freshwater lake in southeast Asia, designated as a Reserve by the UNESCO. You need to buy a ticket to get to the port to take the boat to the lake. There are different sizes of boats to accommodate different group sizes. We took a middle size boat that accommodates 10/12 people. We enjoyed the trip very much. The trip was an adventure as small and medium size boats cross each other along the river leading to the lake. Water was low but the trip was fun. You will see interesting homes with long stairs leading to the river. Fishermen families have been living on the water houses for decades if not centuries. There are some floating restaurants that serve local dishes, specially crocodile meat. You may see in these restaurants small crocodile farms. The lake floating village includes a church, restaurants, community spaces and many homes, is worth the visit. This is definitely a place to visit while in Siem Rip.

Tonlé Sap is a stunning freshwater lake that changes dramatically with the seasons. The lake is home to floating villages that offer a glimpse into a rare way of life—but timing is key. In the dry season, water levels drop, and many “floating” houses sit on dry land. The sunset viewpoint is absolutely worth a stop, offering golden reflections over the water. While there are charming floating tea points scattered across the lake, expect high prices and limited choices. Visit during the wet season for the most authentic and beautiful experience.

You may feel like you came to a sea but this is the largest freshwater lake in southeast Asia. It has been designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997 due to its high biodiversity. Now come to the point what you will get as a tourist. You need to buy tickets to get to this lake through a muddy road. There are different sizes of boats of different size of groups. Anyway i would suggest to get a small motor boats if you are alone or 4/5 persons. This will help you to move fast and also see the fishermen families living on the water villas/houses for around 100 years. There are number of floating restaurants that serve local dishes, sea foods along with special crocodile meat; you heard me right…these boats are mini crocodile farms as well. To have the best of tonle sap lake, go more inside to the lake, stop the boat motor and enjoy the sunset. Its so refreshing and relaxing. On the way back to Siam Reap, try road side restaurants for fresh fish grill from the lake. Dont miss it.

Avery well maintained historic park. There is plenty of parking and nice clean restrooms. There was no entry fee on the day I went. The main structure was a marvel to look at even if parts were restored. This is not a very big site so it’s easy to see everything in less than a hour.

Very beautiful even just stepping into the compound of this place. Well maintained and preserved temple. A bit difficult to travel from aranyaphrathet to this place even it is only 30km sth. Need to rent Tuk Tuk for 800bht from aranyaphrathet n wait n sending off to the main road of khouk song district. After all, it is very beautiful n recommended temple to visit if you are in Sa Keo or Aranyaphrathet.

We’ve been visiting this temple for many years — since 2008 — and have witnessed its development with great appreciation. It has always been beautifully maintained, and we were honestly amazed that there was no entrance fee for such a well-kept and carefully built place. Since about a month ago, an entrance fee has been introduced, which we fully support — maintaining a site like this costs money, and it’s only fair. However, what really disappoints me is the dual pricing policy: Thai visitors pay only a fraction of the fee (20 Baht), while foreigners are charged 200 Baht. I find this unfair, especially as a long-term resident and taxpayer in Thailand. I believe equal treatment should be the standard, not the exception. Because of this, I personally no longer feel welcome and have decided not to return. It’s a pity, because the temple and the grounds are truly worth five stars — but I can’t give a full rating out of principle. Unusual geomorphology landscape but beautiful in its own way. You got to use the local service cart ( e-taek ) to go in the place. Paid 250 baht for round trip. Stay safe by grabbing a bottle of water with you.

Smaller than expected. It's a community maintained area so it receives no funding from the central government. I came during the afternoon so it was blazing hot. Better to come in the evening or late afternoon. You can rent a car for 200 baht (300 baht) from the visitor center. It can fit up to 6 ppl. Alternatively, I bargained to park my car in the temple and walk in there myself for 50 baht.

Amazing place with amazing scenery. We were there with family and friends and we really enjoyed it. We have not seen anything like this before. I recommend bringing water and hats with you. The cost of a walk-behind tractor is 300 baht. I recommend this place to visit.

The hotel looked good from the outside, but the interior felt somewhat outdated to me. Unfortunately, there was a strong unpleasant odor in the bathroom coming from the drainage system, which was quite overpowering. Additionally, the towels didn’t seem very clean and had a yellowish tint. However, the overall facilities were decent. The main issue I encountered was the poor service from the IT team. I attended a seminar at the hotel and needed to use the projector, but the screen quality was terrible, with numerous lines appearing across the display and distorted colors. When I asked the staff for assistance, they had little to no knowledge of how to fix the issue or even how to properly connect my laptop to the equipment. They seemed very young and inexperienced, which made the situation even more frustrating. That being said, I was impressed with other staff members, such as the drivers and restaurant staff. They provided professional, attentive, and friendly service, which made my stay much more pleasant.

It would be an extremely beautiful and stylish gas station with Italian flair. I wasn't in the hotel, just at the rest stop. An absolute standout of a golf course! I would rate this in my top 10 methods of Thailand. This course knows how to make their customers feel welcome. From the moment you drop off your bag, you are made to feel welcome. The course has a great layout with short and long holes, exceptionally well maintained with excellent, challenging greens—very strategic bunker placements. The caddies, are some of the most well trained I have encountered. From knowing your club selection to reading the greens. Very few courses in Thailand can say they have caddies like this. The Japanese hot bath is a great way to end your round.

Interesting golf course, the course condition is absorbing the water in wet condition still problem some in some area, especially in rainy season which shower every afternoon. But so far the first 9 holes are in good green condition and challenging layout. I like all par 3 which has variety of distances and flag position. The water hazard is every where, beware of it. The food in the restaurant is decent taste and portion. The cleaness in the locker is good.

So good golf course with wonderful journey for completing 18 holes. Caddies are very welcome and good for assisting to complete the day perfectly

Beautiful and nice view in shrine, fresh air at top floor. I also pray for my health and happiness, they have so many staffs to help prayers. A cat in shrine is so lovely and friendly. No car parking lots, so I have to park my car on the street near there.

I just spent 2 to 3 hours in this temple, and I could of explored a bit more. Every wall, every corner has such intricate artwork and detail. That will excite and blow your mind! If you’re a photoshoot type this is the best place for the full experience!! Under $30 you can get dressed up, make up, and a photographer… talk about a super deal!! I will be back and I might just have to do the full photo experience

Beautiful temple with details everywhere. They are 2 sides to this temple across the street and it is huge. Very quiet because there aren't a lot of people. It is also free. You can pay to wear Chinese clothing and have a photographer take non-stop pictures for 1500 baht all included.

Lots to see, buy, drink and eat in Lat Krabang, at the Paseo Mall. Relaxed vibe throughout this retro style mall, which is spaciously spread over several indoor and outdoor sections and, split over two (2) levels, with ample enough car parking at the rear, too. The Food Mall is a great spot for lunch and diner and there are plenty of services, ranging from banking to educational and health, here too.

It's a pretty standard shopping mall. I just came today to put some credit on my phone at the AIS shop. The ladies were helpful, I got good service. There is a Chester's, McDonalds and KFC for the westerners and the usual array of Thai cuisine on offer.

Nice place to kill some time and spend the last Baht. There's a small food "mall" outside which is quite simple but connected to this there are lots of Western restaurants and cafés, a small "mall" with clothing-, tech- and pharmacy-stores and billions of ATMs. There are also two(?) larger supermarkets with a great variety of worldwide food and in the evening the outside part turns into a lively streetfood market - and it's clean!!! Ate for 85 Baht all in all and it was the cheapest and best Thai food I had during my whole holidays.

I only recommend this if you're already around, but it's a great mall for food lovers. First, there's a food market with great variety. Second, there's a lot of famous food chains like McDonald's, kfc and pizza hot.

The water park was a highlight, especially the giant wave pool and long water slides—it was refreshing in the Bangkok heat. The pools were clean and well maintained, and lifeguards were attentive. Food options inside the park were decent, with a variety of Thai snacks, fast food, and drinks to keep you energized throughout the day. ✨ Overall, Siam Amazing Park is a great place to enjoy with friends or family. It offers both relaxation and adventure in one spot. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok who wants a mix of thrill and fun.

This amusement park has a lot of fun rides, though some were closed during our visit. The water park area is great, but a few parts were under maintenance. The new pirate ship zone is very exciting and the kids loved it! Some areas look a bit old, but it seems they’re gradually improving them. The food inside is tasty and reasonably priced. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for families to relax and enjoy a full day of fun with kids.

I had lots of fun it’s not a huge park, but there’s a few solid things to do in the regular park and the water park. I was able to get front row seats on all the roller coasters and the food was surprisingly good too. No waits for the rides either

The waterpark wasn’t as fun as the one we used to visit a few years ago, but the other rides were just as enjoyable as those we’ve tried before. The weather was perfect, and overall, we had a really great experience. I tried a few rides, and since we went on a weekday, there were fewer people—and best of all, no lines at all for the rides! The buffet was also a highlight, with plenty of options and even ice cream. The only downside was having to walk back to the entrance, which was a bit inconvenient.

If you plan to visit Safari World, note that you can either drive your own car through the park or pay 100 Baht per person for the safari bus (in addition to the admission ticket). The safari itself takes about 30 minutes — it’s nice but don’t expect the kind of up-close tiger encounters you might see in promotional pictures. If you’ve booked a ticket with lunch included, you’ll enjoy a buffet meal at one of their restaurants. The lunch was really good — they had separate counters for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, which we appreciated. For feeding animals, the prices vary from 100–300 Baht depending on the animal. Restrooms are available at many places inside the park, which is convenient. A small tip — bottled water (500 ml) inside costs around 30 Baht, so it’s better to carry your own bottle. You can refill it during the buffet lunch. They played 2-3 indian songs during dolphin show. We went on a group tour. Well this place is good for children and adults with 4 different shows that happen everyday (chimpangee, dolphin, sealion and elephant show). It takes you whole day. Giraffe feeding was 200 bhat each and taking a picture with eagle was 400 bhat each. We were fed indian buffet lunch(not recommended). We eneded up eating outside the buffet as it was very much unorganized. The resturants are all animal themed. The safari world is where you drive with you van or car inside a protected area. We did not enjoy it. However we got to see tiger, bear and more animals. The zoo was supercrowded as many tour groups and students from school were there when we visited. An okish experience.

They also conduct rituals and poojas for those interested. Overall, a lovely place to visit for some peace and spiritual reflection.

The place itself is beautiful and aesthetic, with lots of charming corners perfect for taking photos, especially around sunset when the lights start to glow. There are many souvenir shops selling cute and unique items at reasonable prices, much cheaper than in many other tourist areas. The food options are great too, from street snacks to proper restaurants, so you can easily spend hours walking around, shopping, and eating. There’s also a ferris wheel, which looks beautiful at night, though the ticket price is quite high compared to other attractions. Still, it adds a nice touch to the riverside skyline. One tip — when you’re waiting for a Grab or Bolt, don’t do it from the front entrance, as it’s usually very crowded and confusing for drivers. Instead, go to the north gate, where pickup is much easier and faster. Overall, Asiatique is a must-visit spot for shopping, dining, and sightseeing by the river!

Evenings are a bit better, less hot. Pretty busy but not overcrowded in my opinion. Another must-do in Bangkok.

This is a modern market with plenty of shops and drinking and eating establishments specifically tailored to tourists. In fact I see most were brought here by their tour group guides. As such the prices are much higher than what you can find in the more traditional ones. Buyers beware I suppose. They did offer the free shuttle boat to/from the Sathorn pier FYI.

Great place, plenty to offer, from the very young (game arcades) to the more mature. There are so many different choices of food, great choices and the quality of food we had was great. You can also go onboard a boat after buying a ticket and go up the river enjoying the food and drink aboard. Or simply sit in one of the bars and people watch the others passing by. The area opens up from circa 5pm. Really good vibe to the place, it's busy but not overwhelming.

Wat Pho is actually considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, and you can see murals and inscriptions that teach about healing, meditation, and ancient Thai medicine. It’s such an interesting place if you enjoy culture and history. But the absolute highlight for us was the Reclining Buddha. I was honestly in shock when I saw it — it’s HUGE and absolutely stunning up close! The gold, the details on the feet, everything… it’s breathtaking and impossible to capture fully in photos. Definitely one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. Beautiful, educational, and unforgettable. Photos do not do it justice!!

I’m Bangkok people ,I visit this place almost 100 times hahaha never get bored every time that i come here.This place is a source of high-class Thai art inherited from the Ayutthaya kingdom period🇹🇭 everything is so beautiful that it’s called the city of angels. For practical information -Thai people (Free) just show ID card at entrance -Foreigner 500 THB/ person One important thing for visiting is that you must dress appropriately, especially for women don’t dress provocatively 😊

This is Bangkok's most important landmark 🇹🇭. After visiting the Grand Palace, don't miss this temple, which is featured on the Thai 10-baht coin. I was so happy to wear traditional Thai clothing. The interior is beautiful, and the pagoda is huge. Everyone comes here to take photos in traditional Thai clothing. You can rent traditional Thai clothing at many shops behind the temple, with prices ranging from 100 to 500 baht. Admission is free for Thais and about 100 baht for foreigners. Open time from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you've already visited the Grand Palace or Wat Pho, you can take a ferry across the river to this temple.

The Temple of the Sunset is a must-visit. It’s very beautiful and worth exploring to learn about its history. Originally, it was the first thing ships would see in the distance to know they had arrived in Bangkok. If you have time, go to the opposite riverbank and watch it light up at sunset—it’s a stunning sight.

I absolutely love coming to this place. From the narrow streets outside with all the super local spots, to inside at the temple. Its amazing and the energy is something to feel. Outside you can rent traditional Thai clothing to venture in and have photoshoots done (amazing experience btw). They have great food places around. You can access Wat Arun by car or boat (recommend taking the boat in atleast once). Traffic can get bad depending upon the time of day. At night this place is insanely beautiful viewing from a distance as its all lit up. Must see spot for sunrise and sunset. Bathrooms easily accessible. Entrance easy going and quick (you get a free water). I always visit whenever I am in BKK.

Beautiful temples and Chinese-Thai heritage. The stones, carvings, marbles, paints and colors are simply breathtaking. Had a beautiful experience. Bring e-fans, fans, umbrella and hats. Wear your sunscreens. Gets hot and crowded. Entrance fee for foreign visitors is BAHT200 each. **If you will not be in traditional thai costume, please be mindful of your attire.

We only experienced Wat Arun from the boat, but it still made a huge impression. The temple rises beautifully over the river, and the details on the spires are stunning even from a distance. It’s one of those places that instantly catches your eye. If you’re doing a Chao Phraya River cruise, make sure you slow down and really take in the view — it’s unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back and explore it properly!

We visited Wat Arun, a beautiful Buddhist temple located by the river. The architecture is stunning, and climbing the temple gives amazing views of the surroundings. The entrance fee is 200 THB per person. It’s a peaceful and culturally rich place, definitely worth spending some time exploring.

what a huuuge amazing temple! went there and experienced the thailand traditional costumes and took some pictures just how tourists did 😆☝️ 200bath for the entrance fee, very recommended to go there early morning or in the evening. the sun is no joke the other day we went for a cruise dinner and pasaing by the wat arun at night and its really beautiful pictures turned super good!!!
