After a few days of hiking this is the perfect place to relax. The bus from the Huangshan Park entrance gate can drop you here on its way back to town. Beautiful pools and pretty good service. There is a snack bar included in the price of entry.
Latonya W — Google review
The place is clean and the service is good. Staff is practically everywhere. There are numerous basins with varying temperature and themes. However, when we were there they only had 5 basins filled (due to low attendance). It should also be mentioned that the water is not mineralized (like in Japan), but simply water taken from the mountain stream and heated. Otherwise the place looks gorgeous with good views on Huangshan. We went during the week, during weekends it probably gets crowded.
Fabian B — Google review
The best hot spring in China, I've been there twice already and it is just fascinating!!! It has everything you need for free in the garden, where you also can listen to beautiful Chinese music. You can definitely be healthy again, just get relaxed in there! The hotel near there is cheap, and the ticket for the hot spring has a low price as well. 100% recommended!
Guangnan Y — Google review
This place is not an option for anyone wanting to use Muslim swim suits at their pools. They won't allow you to get in without traditional swim wear. Not that I care about Muslims but I do believe anyone should be able to be them selves any where.

Amazing place, you can spend wonderful time there. Suprisingly cheap for a high standards that it offers. Clean changing rooms, very nice pools, additional SPA center with great massures. Worth cheaking out!

A really nice hot spring to relax after one day on the mountain! Normally the price is cheap if you buy in your hotel than in the hot spring lobby.

The views are unquestionably outstanding! We went in November which is out of season but the place was still so busy. Large tour groups go around the park with guides who shout constantly through loudspeakers which takes away from the serenity of the park. Also, we needed to get down via cable car but had run out of cash from paying for so many bus transfers, tickets and entrance fees. We were told by a hotel that they will take MasterCard but they didn’t! We were stuck and the cable car was soon closing. The ticket officer was just laughing at us which made it even worse. We luckily found a very sweet group of ladies who paid our fare and we made it down. Terrible service from the park though!

Xihai Hotel HuangShan

Xihai Hotel HuangShan is a relaxed hillside establishment with stylish rooms and suites, some featuring balconies. The hotel boasts two restaurants and a bar. Despite its location at the top of a mountain, the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization. There are two sections in the hotel- one primarily for Chinese travelers and another for foreigners designed to resemble Las Vegas that exudes luxury. However, there is a personal preference towards the first section due to its laid-back vibe.
Xihai Hotel Huangshan offers spectacular views of the mountains. we stayed there for 4 consecutive nights as we wanted to cover as many trails as possible. our room is in A wing and has a walk out balcony. it is comfortable and clean. towels and bedding are white and soft. we had all our meals at the Hotel restaurant. the food is tasty. ingredient fresh with many choices. Staff is friendly and professional. highly recommend.
Anne C — Google review
The Xihai hotel is a very convenient starting point to explore the Xihai valley which was the most impressive scenic area in Huangshan 'yellow mountains' for us! (there are many more scenic areas arround) We liked the overall setting of the hotel with interesting architecture and good infrastructure (e.g. we had a dryer for clothers in our rooms which was useful after one rainy afternoon). We had some troubles with the food but there is enough choice to find something decent in the buffet. Nice staff!
Philipp S — Google review
Can't beat the location, and it also looks right over the ridge. The rooms are small sized, but comfortable. The hotel itself can feel crowded. Their lunch is a buffet, 120,and dinner is also a buffet, 180 rmb, both don't have much vegetarian. Service at the hotel and restaurant is fine.
Mini R — Google review
Put a night or 2 at the hotel in the Mt Huangshan scenic area if you want to capture sunset and sunrise. Room rates are very much higher than outside. In general, they provide good service, clean amenities and good breakfast included. There are several spots for photographers, each hotel will recommend suitable locations nearby their hotel. The hotel staff will lead the group to and from the spot.
Vincent T — Google review
Stayed 1 night to attend sunrise / sunset. Prices are similar among the hotels on the top. (I paid ~1100¥ for a 2 single beds room) Breakfast is buffet and was included but for dinner, I ate a the hotel, was a buffet as well. Not the best food but considering the altitude is still pretty nice. (Paid 180¥) The hotel organised a trip to go watch the sun rise ( leaving hotel a 4:40am) and every room has winter jacket with the hotel logos at disposal (it is still quite chilly windy in the morning) The receptionist 小马 was really helpful : provided me all the info I needed, a spot to go watch sunset, an itinerary for my way back down the mountain the following day
Jiang J — Google review
This hotel is clean, tidy and not what you'd expect at the top of a mountain. After a couple of hours of mountain stair climbing, this hotel is downright luxurious. The hotel has two parts: a section where mostly Chinese travelers stay (and where I stayed), and another section where mainly foreigners stay. The second section is luxurious and is designed to look like Vegas. I prefer the first section, personally.
Yang W — Google review
Stayed here with friends one night. Hotel is located top of the mountain. Okay for staying a night. Since the place is located top of the mountain, you don't have much choices for your meal. You have to eat from hotel and very crowded. Rooms are cleaned but pretty small for the price. For one night? It is not bad~~~ Most people stays here for sunrise...
Andres K — Google review
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is standard. Nothing to shout but I think it is better than the other hotels up in the mountain. Lunch and dinner is great depends on what you order. The rooms are not too big but the heater is appalling. We went there during winter and was from - 6 to 0 degrees Celsius. We set to 22 degrees but the maximum it went was 14. The air was too dry. I don't know why they don't provide humidifiers. We requested for an extra heater which the housekeeping gladly provides. Also mineral bottled water isn't provided so you need to purchase it at the convenience store at the lobby from RMB15 per bottle to support the people transporting it up to the hotel. Hotel located quite strategic to a sunset point which is about 10-15 min walk. Massage is expensive but the messuer is good.

Two years ago, we, sixteen schoolmates, went to Huang Shang, Shixin peak was our first destination. After the raining, all mountain was full of mist and fog. It’s spectacular view with mysterious feeling. Frankly speaking, I had never experienced such view, the atmosphere was so zenish, the look just like Chinese painting. You had to come here to see it yourself to fully understand what I meant. It’s definitely a place that you must visit at least once in your life time.

Huangshan Mountain, also known as the Yellow Mountains, offers a choice between ascending via cable car or climbing stairs. Opting for the latter provides an invigorating challenge and unparalleled views throughout the journey. The summit is renowned for its stunning sunrise and scenic vistas of clouds seen from above. This mountain peak is simply breathtaking in its natural splendor and beauty, attracting visitors from far and wide to witness its grandeur firsthand.

Huangshan have 2 entrance, and i think 3 cable cars (in diff direction), to get to diff places faster, eventhough its all connected up there. its a a very majestic mountain complex with a lot of beautiful peaks. when we was there its raining all day, but still can feel the serenity, the greatness of the Huangshan Mountain. if have time, please visit TUNXI with its ancient pedestrian market.
Hendrik P — Google review
I went to Huangshan on a cloudy day, and what I saw was completely different from the photos on Google Reviews. Beyond the path beneath my feet, everything more than 5–10 km away was hidden in the clouds — just a vast white mist. With the cold wind blowing, I honestly felt like a wandering monk on a pilgrimage. It’s interesting that there’s really only one main trail connecting north and south, but it goes up and down constantly — extremely tiring. The uphill sections are steep, and on the way down, the wind hits from behind, making it easy to slip. I’d actually recommend not wearing those plastic shoe covers that the shops sell — they make it even more slippery. Also, try not to wear brand new shoes because of the mud. I don’t know where my confidence came from — I thought sticking heat patches all over my body and wearing a skirt would be enough to conquer Huangshan. Later, I realized I was probably the biggest fool on the mountain. My fingers turned purple from the cold; my body felt warm, but my hands and feet were freezing. The wind was strong, and the tour groups heading from south to north were packed (the stairs are separated by metal ropes into two directions). We went from north to south, so at least it was less crowded — we could walk much faster. There are food stalls near Guangmingding, and surprisingly, the grilled sausages (¥100) there tasted absolutely divine — the best thing ever after all that hiking. I did feel sorry for the cleaners, though, as there was rubbish everywhere near the stalls, not even in bins but scattered on the ground. We passed the only toilet in that area — it’s quite large — and many aunties were using the hand dryers for warmth. They kindly shared the warm air with me when they saw my fingers had turned purple. After finishing the trail, we reached the cable car station. The Chinese tour group in our cabin was talking very loudly in such a small space that my Apple Watch even sent a noise alert. My ears were ringing, and although I politely asked them to lower their voices, they acknowledged me but didn’t actually get quieter — probably just their normal way of speaking. All in all, the nature was breathtaking, even if I didn’t get the picture-perfect views.
Mao S — Google review
When travel to Huangshan, recommanded to take cable car from North Gate afternoon session, as less people it is closer to the mountain hotel. Otherwise, if enter from south gate may face a long queue to trek up to mountain. It's better to go during low season or on weekway to avoid weekends and local school holiday.

March 2025 1 day trip from Hangzhou. (Bring passport) 715am-first high speed train from Hangzhou East railway station, 1.5hr duration. 845am-reach Huangshan Bei(north) station. Buy 1 way coach ticket to Huangshan entrance SOUTH gate 50 mins ride. 930am-purchase a 20min bus ride ticket to 云谷寺站 cable car station. 10am-purchase entrance( ¥190 for China citizen, 50% discount for foreigners) & 1 way cable car(¥65-¥90 off/peak season) tickets. 1030am-reach the peak of the cable car station. Explore the other peaks and enjoy the scenery BUT DO NOT GO 西海大峡谷 that direction as there is not enough time. Spend a maximum of 10mins in a spot for photo taking. 1610pm you must reach 玉屏索道 station because 1630pm is the LAST RIDE!!! or you will have to stay overnight on the mountain. To really enjoy Huangshan mountain, it is recommended for a 2 day trip but it is very tiring on the joints of your legs. A lot of steep climbing which is really torturing. Not suitable for children under 12, old and frail, handicapped or with medical conditions. Human Carriage service depend on distances, the nearer the cheaper, price from ¥400-¥2000++.

Took a high speed train from Hangzhou to Mt JiuHua on 11 June 2025. Mt JiuHua being 1 of 4 sacred mountains in Buddhist pilgrimage in China. It's the seat of Kitsigarba Bodhisattva. Booked a seat in their business class. Do not have to queue to enter the gate. In fact, I'm amongst the first few travellers to go down the platform , to enter the train carbin to my allocated seat. The seat cushion was comfortable . There's a display panel at the front of the cabin displaying the original station & final destination, the train speed and the station name where it stopped. Toilets & hot water dispensers were available at each end of the cabin. The whole ride was extremely smooth and I could rest, even sleep during the 2 hour plus journey. Ticket cost S$55-63. An excellent experience.

... (Translated by Google) A place to experience Buddhism in all its fascination. The temples are very well preserved and impressive. Unfortunately, the complex is only accessible to individual travelers as it is far away from all tourist routes. The advantage of this remoteness is of course that you can take photos in which there are no more tourists than locals. Speaking of recordings: recordings are not permitted in the temples. Therefore 1 point deducted.

(Translated by Google) Located on the top of Chaxiao Peak at an altitude of 871 meters in Jiuhua Mountain, it was originally named Zhaixing Temple, also known as Wannian Zen Temple, and is one of the "four major jungles" in Jiuhua Mountain. The Centennial Palace does not have the configuration of a single building. From a distance, it looks like an ancient castle reaching into the sky. This shape is extremely rare among existing temple buildings in my country. This place is dedicated to the Immaculate Real Bodhisattva of the Ming Dynasty.

It has a mountain gate, a main hall, a physical body hall and other buildings. It is the place where Master Wuxia, who traveled here to study during the Wanli period, sat and died. In addition to worshiping the physical Bodhisattva in the fleshly body hall, you can also light a lamp of peace. Lamps pray for blessings and peace. But please note that the last cable car goes down the mountain at 16:30p.m. If you miss it, you will have to stay on the mountain for one night; and the monks in the temple will start chasing people away as soon as they get off work. There are two ways to go up. The longest is doable and 3 hours or go the hardest routes which takes 1 hour. The hardest splits into 2 different trails, one being steeper but takes the same amount of the time. Along the way there are cute things to do like drink tea and smash the cup for being brave for walking on the glass bridge or so I was told by my Chinese friends. It was a fun hike.

This was one of the most epic experiences I've had in China. Whether you're looking for a thrill, crisp air ( hard to find in China ) or nature at its best, this place has it all. The hike is steep and tiring, so be sure to wear comfortable clothing. There are stalls situated strategically along the hikimg trail so you don't have to carry your own drinks. Fortunately, there is an option of taking the cable cart ascending or descending at a fairly reasonable price and I'd suggest taking it if its a really hot day or if you're doubting fitness. Whether you use the cable cart or hike yourself, the glass bridge is spectacular and absolutely breathtaking. I would strongly recommend visiting this place.

The place is very good. we took high speed train to Fanchangxi station and once we got off from there, there were so many taxi drivers. we took a taxi for 80 yuan and we were shared for each cost around 20 yuan. there were about 3 Km walk from the road to the ticket point and we paid 60 yuan for the glass bridge. we had special ID card and park entrance were free for us and it should be around 30-40 as remember. then it was a very hard journey for top of the mountain and before the glass bridge can see the statues and climb the mountain. it is not advice to carry little babies and bit difficult, little hard journey. before enter to the glass bridge these is a refreshing area for side view and LED screen with animations. its kind of relaxing your mind and refresh the journey. the bridge is waving and some times scaring , but its fun and about bit long way to cross the bridge. please keep your strength to climb down of the mountain after the bridge. you can have juise and fresh fruits from the shops and bit expensive like 30 yuan for one cup of fruits. its interesting to have journey to this location where close to Nanjing. so finally it is a a very good place to enjoy

(Translated by Google) Thrilling experience, to be avoided if you suffer from vertigo. Upon arrival you will find many car parks, don't stop at the first one, there is plenty of space further up. Lots of people to buy the ticket, if you have a Chinese acquaintance it is much better to buy the ticket online (100 yuan). As soon as you enter on the right side you will find a lake where you can take a ride on a water bumper car or jump on a rope, several shooting gallery or virtual reality games, a beautiful temple and some kiosks where you can eat inside a bamboo park. you can choose whether to walk up to reach the bridge or use a small cable car (40 yuan each way). Once at the top, to cross the bridge you have to queue again and pay 80 yuan. The view is breathtaking and the experience unforgettable.
