Manukan Island is one of those places that keeps calling you back, and after a decade, I can confidently say it has only gotten better. The improvements over the years are evident, from better facilities to well-maintained beaches, but what remains unchanged is the island’s natural charm. If you’re planning an island-hopping adventure in Kota Kinabalu, Manukan Island is a must-visit stop—and for good reason. It’s usually one of the longer stays on the tour, giving you a couple of hours to soak in the beauty of this tropical paradise. The beaches here are pristine, with powdery sand and crystal-clear waters that make for perfect swimming and snorkeling conditions. One of the things I love most about Manukan is how it blends relaxation with a touch of adventure. Whether you want to lounge by the shore, take a dip, or explore the island’s vibrant marine life, there’s something for everyone. The wildlife here is also a treat—expect to spot colorful fish, playful monitor lizards, and even hornbills if you’re lucky. Overall, Manukan Island isn’t just a stopover; it’s an experience. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, it never fails to impress. If you’re in Kota Kinabalu, make sure to set aside time for this gem—you won’t regret it.

A great place to come for healing with family or friends — dining facilities are available, and the island itself is beautiful.
Eja J — Google review
Very clean and beautiful place. Just boat service needs to be more organized. Our experience: We visited Manukan (crystal clear water), Sapi (beautiful but not as much as Manukan) and Gaya (Patang Point). In this last island there are hiking trails. In Sapi we rent a Mask and snorkel for RM10 and enjoyed the corals and fish.
Salvatore A — Google review
Amazing that they charge a conservation fee, when the water is dirty and full of rubbish. Not good for snorkelling as the coral is very shallow (and mostly dead) so cannot be accessed a lot of the time, although I respect them trying to restrict people, as I’m sure they would stand on and damage it further.
Fenella D — Google review
A lot of fun activities; paragliding, undersea walk, Island hopping, snorkelling, banana boat ride and etc.
Spot — Google review
Unfortunately the hiking routes on the Manukan Island are impassable (overgrown vegetation). The southwest tip of the island is full of garbage. I think the conservation fee (25 RM/person) is unreasonably high.
Csaba — Google review
Great place to visit islands and these islands just located near to town. Great way to feel the breeze and nature scene. Recommended.
Chang K — Google review
Superb well maintained natural park with clean white sand beaches, lush forrest and excellent coral and crystal clear waters for snorkelling and scuba diving. Visited in January 2004 on a scuba diving trip with Boreno Divers

Manukan Island is a stunning destination located in the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, just a short ferry ride away from Kota Kinabalu. This picturesque island boasts a 1km white sand beach with clear waters, making it perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Visitors can also enjoy hiking and exploring the natural beauty of the island. The island offers various sea sports activities such as snorkeling and paragliding, as well as amenities like restaurants and cafes.
My visit to Manukan Island was truly unforgettable! The island is stunning, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue waters. It’s the perfect tropical getaway for anyone looking to relax or enjoy water activities. One of the highlights of my trip was the jet ski ride—it was thrilling to speed across the beautiful open waters. Snorkeling was also an amazing experience, as the underwater world was full of vibrant marine life. The water was so clear that I could easily see colorful fish swimming around. Manukan Island is well-maintained and offers a great balance between relaxation and adventure. Whether you’re looking to lounge on the beach or try exciting water sports, this island is a must-visit. I had an incredible time and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Shivani J — Google review
We visited here last weekend. Beautiful crystal clear water, soft sand, PLASTIC everywhere - in the ocean and on the sand. This was extremely disheartening to see. If you wish to snorkel with plastic bottles and bits of plastic, then I suggest you visit.
A I — Google review
Very very nice island it is so unfortunate that there is plastic and garbage in the beautiful south China sea very sad and they make you pay conservation like island conservation fee and before we pay that we said are you gonna do something about the plastic and the cleanup she said yes that’s something that happens and I’m like because it looks like the island has not been cleaned for many many years! The island is beautiful there’s a restaurant which charges an exorbitant rate for beer for half a pint it’s 35 ringgit !! that’s like over $12 Canadian for a half a pint absolutely outrageous! I would visit this island again but I would bring my own beer definitely and sit on the beach and drink ! It’s not that I don’t wanna support local businesses which I do but to charge that it would be almost $25 for a pint and I’m sorry but that is just a little bit way too much! We got here a little bit late in the afternoon and I went to go order food at this restaurant that I’m at and they ran out of food so there’s no food available until after five but that would be more for the people that are locally staying here like you can rent beach villas here I think? So not the beer was super expensive but they ran out of food 🥘 Anyway great island 🏝️ great news lots of trees in a jungle like setting ! Follow Fauzia for more amazing reviews in Borneo and beyond ! We are heading back to Bangkok tomorrow it was a great trip to Borneo you can follow us on our YouTube channel which has all the videos that I record because Google maps limits the videos to 30 seconds we have longer video content there and also on our TikTok channel you can follow us there as well Facebook and Instagram we are there!! 😇😇😍😇😍😇😌

We had a lovely family trip here for a day, enjoying snokelling and the beach. However, the seabed was not as clean as expected and by afternoon it was crowded. A lovely area to escape from the city life. A short trip to the island by bot from Jesselton Point Jetty.
Roslan I — Google review
Had the best day of activities however compared to some islands the water next to the sand was not that clean.
Theresa E — Google review
Visited Manukan Island during my trip to Sabah, and it was absolutely stunning. The clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and gentle sea breeze made it feel like a tropical paradise. We swam, snorkeled, and relaxed by the beach—it was the perfect escape from city life. The island was clean and well-maintained, and the boat ride there added to the fun. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet exciting island getaway, Manukan is definitely worth it.
Olivia L — Google review
This place was amazing. The island is stunning, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue waters. Very recommend doing snorkling here since there are various fishes. Never visit Kinabalu without coming here 🔥
Delia N — Google review
Manukan Island in Sabah, Malaysia, is a hidden gem. For a reasonable RM35 boat fee and RM20 entrance fee, you can experience pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling, and lush greenery. The island offers various activities like snorkeling and diving, as well as a marine park. There are restaurants and small grocery stores, but prices are expected to be higher than on the mainland. For example, an RM1 bottled water would cost RM4 there, so it's better to pack your food before heading to the island. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it an ideal getaway from Kota Kinabalu's hustle and bustle. The facilities are pretty basic and sufficient for a day trip. Manukan Island is an excellent spot for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

Small and serene, Mamutik Island is a great spot to swim and snorkel. With clear water and plenty of coral, it's an ideal destination for scuba diving or snorkeling. The island is also close to Kota Kinabalu city, making it a convenient option for travelers.
I would still give it a 5/5 despite the negative comments. It’s actually not bad. The island is good. I did not see much litter but there are some in the middle of the ocean. Good spot for snorkeling, there are monitor lizards, and they have a decent restaurant. Would recommend this place.
Josh — Google review
Soft white sand beach. Entrance fee rm8 per pax, slight crowd this morning. Coconut drink is rm15. Jetty point can get jam due many waiting for their boat ride
Danny T — Google review
What can i say...awesome, awesome, awesome. Paragliding, sea walking, snorkeling activities accessible from the beach. Had a blast💖❤️💝
Hasidah S — Google review
Good snorkeling place, everything was clean. Not crowded beginning of may. We made 2 islands tour Manukan+Mamutik, it's enough for 1 day trip. You can take official boat tickets at the pier (what we did) or find someone next to the fish market.
Pierre A — Google review
There are many choices in actives but I simply went to relax. I did rent a snorkel and mask for 10 ringgit. Fish are abundant. Water is a beautiful clear green color.
Aaron S — Google review
My most favorite island near Kota Kinabalu when it comes to snorkeling. There are a lot of things to see there!
Зураб В — Google review
Nice little island. Not a lot going on here, just a couple of small beaches packed with tourists. The snorkeling was average as it was very shallow and all the coral was dead. Found a few plastic and glass bottles in the shallows too which was disappointing.
Jesse T — Google review
It's about 20 minutes on the bumpy boat ride from Jesselton. Once you get in, you'll pay for the park entrance fees. Bring cash. The waters around here have a lot of waves so if you are not a strong swimmer, please put on your life vest or you can be pulled out further. Not much corals here except near the rocks. You'll see some fishes here, more than those near the centre. You can hike up the trail as well which is nearer to the rocks, left side of the jetty. It is a small trail of maybe 1km up and back. Just watch out for the occasional snake and spider. There are open shower facilities here so bring your shampoo and soap and towel to clean the sea water off. The other side of the jetty is mostly Borneo divers facilities and only for their guests. Food at the common area is expensive and you should not expect much in taste. Bring your own if you want. Coconuts are Rm14 each and not cold.

Sapi Island Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia

The marine park in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia is home to Sapi, Manukan, and Mamutik islands. These small islands are only a 30-minute journey by speedboat from Jesselton point. The clear waters surrounding the islands provide abundant fish life and shaded picnic spots for visitors to enjoy. Many tourists come here for snorkeling, diving, and swimming opportunities. Sapi island has better coral than the others and offers great views of fish while snorkeling.
It is a very beautiful island but it can get a bit crowded. The water is clear for snorkeling and they do provide a lot of water activities. All in all a great experience and will recommend this island. There are some monkeys and huge monitor lizards too in this island so be aware.
Josh — Google review
Really beautiful island. One of my most favorite ones around Kota Kinabalu. Super chill and beautiful.
Зураб В — Google review
The charm of emerald-colored beaches you can’t experience in Thailand or Vietnam! It offers an indescribable sense of healing. Especially, the speed you feel when coming by boat is undoubtedly the ultimate experience.
DongWook C — Google review
I visited Sapi Island two times. In second one I did Snorkelling also. I enjoyed watching fishes, so it is recommended for visiting.
Girish K — Google review
Beautiful beach and good for swimming and snorkeling. I have been lucky to spot hornbill.
Giridhar V — Google review
The island was nice, clean, and clear water. They have a restaurant and a local shop to buy food and drinks. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed 1 hour early the day I went to the island. The beach area is a bit smaller than the surrounding islands. You can snorkel here and rent a clear bottom kayak if you want. There are lots of trees here to get some shade if it's sunny out. There is also a small covered roof at the jetty, for waiting for your boat to pick you up. Island was a bit busy when I was there.
Expeditionsolo L — Google review
One of the most amazing islands to visit in Kota Kinabalu. We were unlucky though as we went on a tour and there was very heavy rain, so we couldn’t do much. But it was still beautiful to see the island and just relax under the rain. Definitely check the weather before booking your tour, it can be unpredictable but just to improve your chances of a clear sunny day.
Omar A — Google review
Very beautiful little island with a couple of sandy beaches, clear water and shower facilities. However there are lifeguards who constantly patrol with loudspeakers ordering you out of the water if you don’t wear a life vest. If you want to have the privilege to swim normally, they make you sign a long waiver form. It’s all a bit ridiculous given the water isn’t even deep.

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park

Wildlife and safari park
Zoos & Aquariums
Lok Kawi Wildlife Park, situated near Kota Kinabalu, is a top destination for wildlife enthusiasts. The park, established in 2007 by the Sabah Wildlife Department, features a diverse range of Borneo's exotic animals such as tigers, bears, elephants, proboscis monkeys and more. Divided into botanical and zoological sections, it aims to be family-friendly with a focus on the Children's Zoo.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Had a fantastic time at the wildlife zoo! The place is clean, well-organized, and perfect for a family outing. The monkeys were super fun to watch—full of energy and always up to something. The elephants were calm and majestic. One even gave us a little water show with its trunk! Loved the colorful parrots—they were chatting away and added so much life to the aviary. The tigers were stunning. Powerful, graceful, and just awe-inspiring to see up close. The deer were gentle and came close enough to feed—such a peaceful experience. You can tell the animals are well cared for, and the staff is friendly and informative. Highly recommend visiting if you're an animal lover or just looking for a great day out!
Mohamed F — Google review
We visited this zoo and were quite surprised – most of the animals don’t look very well, especially the tiger. He looked like he might be drugged or just very old. Honestly, we came here mainly to see the proboscis monkeys, and yes – they are here and they are amazing! I’m not sure if they just didn’t like us or if they’re not very friendly with people, but they didn’t come close. Still, we managed to take a few nice photos. As for the rest of the animals, there aren’t that many, so don’t expect to spend a full day here. You couldn’t anyway – the park is open from around 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, then it closes for lunch and reopens at 2:00 pm. We went in the afternoon. Getting a taxi back was a bit stressful – no one accepted our booking for more than 20 minutes, and since it’s over half an hour by car from Kota Kinabalu, we were worried we’d have to walk! So definitely have a backup plan for transport. The zoo itself is quite small and can be walked through slowly in about an hour. We spent another 30 minutes just sitting and watching the proboscis monkeys. Other animals you can see here include elephants, tigers, bears, different kinds of birds (parrots, toucans – I think – and owls), orangutans (though they were barely visible and not active at all), otters, ostriches, cows, and a few others. Entrance is 20 MYR per person for non-Malaysians. A taxi from Kota Kinabalu costs about 20–35 MYR one way. Overall, is it worth it? Yes – but only for the proboscis monkeys. They are the main highlight. Otherwise, there isn’t much to see, and sadly, many of the animals seem to be in poor condition, possibly because they’re old or not well cared for. On site, there’s a small snack shop with drinks and a souvenir store.
JOKER'S — Google review
Support your local zoo! ( As long it doesnt abuse the animal) But sadly yes some cage look sad and need to improve. We stumble upon elephant feeding time and it was a good experience to see elephant so near!. At the centre pavi there are small local stall people selling some food and drinks. This zoo really bring back the nostalgic feeling. Hoping there are public transport access to this zoo and there are more activities/festival so more people come to this zoo.
Syahir ( — Google review
For the price of RM10 for Malaysian Adult, I would certainly give a five stars. The animals are all healthy (Just that the space was a bit small for tiger). Can see around 30++ animals if not mistaken. The animal show at 11.15am was good too! Advise to get a higher seat. Be sure to arrive at 11.00am for goot seats.
Taryn O — Google review
I missed the animal show and it could possibly be the highlight of the visit for all I know. There are far too many run down buildings that need clearing and replacing. There is a good sized group of elephants which had two youngsters that I could see. Why are they viewed through bars rather than from a raised platform? Two were obviously bored to death in their enclosure and were just standing swinging their heads from side to side. If you want to see proboscis monkeys, elephants and orangutan there are better setting in Borneo otherwise you could try here. Entry cheap.
Derek H — Google review
Spent some time here with friends. I expected to see lots of animals, but there were only a few. Some of the animals weren’t very active and looked weak. There were also areas where the animals seemed lonely, with just one in a space by itself. I really hope the zoo management can make improvements and add more animals, because honestly, the place felt kinda dull and lifeless 😕. To be honest, I didn’t really enjoy or feel happy seeing the zoo in this condition.
Fateeha A — Google review
Our experience at the Wildlife Park in Kota Kinabalu was unfortunately quite disappointing. When we arrived, we were surprised to find it closed between 1 pm and 2 pm — something we hadn’t been aware of — and ended up waiting 45 minutes before we could enter. Once inside, it became clear that the park is small and poorly maintained. The walking paths were in bad condition, and many of the animal enclosures looked neglected, which took away from the enjoyment of the visit. On the positive side, we did get to see a few interesting animals, including the sun bear, elephants, and the famous proboscis monkey unique to the region. However, the overall state of the park made it hard to truly appreciate the experience. Unfortunately, the kids didn’t enjoy it much, mainly due to the lack of upkeep and the limited attractions. With better maintenance and care, this park could be so much more — but as it stands, it’s not a place we would rush to recommend.
Purple K — Google review
Hi everyone! My sons (8 and 11) and I visited Lok Kawi Wildlife Park on Saturday afternoon. It took us about 25 minutes from Ming Garden Hotel, I used Grab. The entrance fee to the park is still RM20 for an adult, RM10 for a child. Despite the pouring rain, we had a great time! I would like to point out that the animals look very good! The binturongs, clouded leopard and tiger were sleeping peacefully in the afternoon, we got to the otters at the time when they are being fed, apparently the keeper was late, so the three otters swam up to EVERY visitor and "meowed" 🤣. The gibbon chose to hide in his house from the rain, so we only saw his beautiful tail 🤭 Sun bears, parrots, deer, elephants, proboscis monkey (endemic to Borneo) could not leave us indifferent! 💖 I recommend visiting Wildpark! Don't forget umbrellas or raincoats ☺️

I had a very wonderful experience during I ride this train. I can says back to 80's or 90's time. Where by most of the European use this train as transportation. The environment inside the train was cosy and calm. The train was clean and smelled nicely. The staff also very friendly and polite to their customer. Their also provide a good food. I try their Sabahan famous cakes called panjaram and drink with tea as breakfast. Was very nice and soft to eat. I prefer more to try their tradition cakes other than the usual food such as bread and more. The ticket price still affordable. Every time their stop at railway station. The technicion staff will checked the condition of the railway. So, the people inside will be more safe from danger. Beside, most of the people who visited that placed was very friendly and like to talk each other. I really comfortable with them. Futhermore, when the train stop at other station. You can spend your time to go shopping to nearest market. To prevent a wasting time. So, I recommend all of you to visit Sabah and try ride this train.

Amazing experience in Borneo. The steam train was magestic, roaming through countryside with children waving when it passed. The food served was good, way above my expectation. Only couple of trips available weekly so do book your tickets early. The price was reasonable for such a rare and nostalgic trip. Do note that the price already include the meals. Definitely a must in bucket list for those planning to visit Borneo.

Beautiful old steam locomotive, like in the old days , with pass and food and a feeling like thrown back in design and travel A wonderful experience Calculate a whole day , maybe you run out of steam . Not cheap , but an unforgettable day

The kids really enjoy the ride, and it was really an unforgettable experience. The sound of the old time steam train and the rail squeal really feels like you are back in time. You can enjoy the view as beautiful scenery passes through the window. I will definitely be back.

Pros: fun train ride, nice stops to see local markets etc. Cons: DELAYS. Make sure you have nothing booked in the afternoon. Itenerary states back at 1:40pm. Today we arrived back at the station at 5:00pm. Arrange at your own risk. Overall - good trip but delay of 3 hours not worth my day.

North Borneo Train Tour will begin on 10 Nov 2022 every Thursday and Sunday! Take a train ride from Tanjung Aru to Papar town. Enjoy the nice view of countryside and landmarks along the 100-year-old railway and listen to the interesting history stories by tour guides. They will also bring you for a guided tour in local market (lot of food, snacks, and fruits to see and try) and visit the heritage post-war building in Papar town. During this travel passenger will be served lunch in an old fashion way using a steel tiffin carriers to bring back the old memories. At least once in a life time to get this experience.

The Sabah State Museum, also known as Muzium Sabah, has come a long way since its establishment in 1965. It is now located on a 17-hectare land at Bukit Istana Lama and houses an extensive collection of artifacts, installations, and exhibits in various galleries covering history, arts, ceramics, brassware, natural history, archaeology, ethnography, and Islamic civilization.

I visited here on July 22, 2025. The main building is still closed, but I could see the railway exhibition and heritage village. I was able to buy souvenirs at a reasonable price at the museum shop. However, the 2 MYR bottled water was not very tasty, so it would have been better to buy a Coke.
D K — Google review
17/9/25 : We came here mainly for the Craft Exotica event, which was very interesting and gave us the chance to explore the traditional crafts of North Borneo’s ethnic groups. However, most of the highlights were focused on the Kadazandusun and Bajau communities. Suggestion: It would be great if the event could also feature other indigenous minority groups, so both local and international visitors can appreciate the diversity of Borneo’s rich heritage. The handicrafts sold were beautiful, but the prices seemed more targeted at foreign tourists rather than locals. Still, the cultural dance performances were a nice addition and very enjoyable. A little disappointment: the main museum building is still under renovation. Visitors could only access the old locomotive exhibition and the heritage village. Sadly, these areas also looked a bit neglected and could use better upkeep. Overall, it’s a meaningful event, but there is plenty of room for improvement in showcasing the full range of Sabah’s heritage.

Sad to see the condition of the museum. A lot of tourists came but had to go because it's under renovation. I really hope they speed up the reconstruction and wish to come back to enjoy the beautiful culture of sabah.

Interesting place. The museum located in the main building is closed. The library has been moved about a 30-minute walk away. The train is visible and accessible inside as well; the sample village can be seen and walked through, though some houses are closed. The botanical garden is a tiny walk. The souvenir shop is open. There is no ticket — the whole area is free. Overall, I recommend visiting.

I visited here on July 25, 2025. And the main building is closed for upgrading dunno when finished, but I could see the railway exhibition and heritage village....(Looks like the place not in good care)

The state museum in Kota Kinabalu has been closed for renovations since September 2024, though the official website still misleadingly shows it as open. Upon arriving and discovering the museum was closed, we decided to explore the cultural village located within the same compound. The cultural village, unfortunately, feels neglected and depleted, with many of the structures showing signs of significant wear and tear. Even the pathway leading to the village is broken and poorly maintained, making it less accessible and somewhat unsafe for visitors. That said, Phase Two of the cultural village stands out as being in much better condition, with some areas appearing better preserved. While the cultural village offers a glimpse into the traditional lifestyles and architecture of Sabah’s indigenous communities, its current state of neglect and disrepair makes it a disappointing experience. The broken pathways and depleted structures diminish its appeal, and despite the better condition of Phase Two, the visit feels like a waste of time.

Beautiful places to see in sabah. The old train went back to the 1880s. Sabah Museum, the complex, also includes an ethnobotanical garden, a zoo, and a heritage village. The museum was closed when I visited on 25 December 2024. Its main purpose is to collect, preserve, and conserve collections related to ethnography, history, art, botany, zoology, and conduct research on the heritage and culture of Sabah.

Gaya Street Market

Shopping
Gaya Street Sunday Market, formerly known as Bond Street, has become a vibrant and popular spot for locals and tourists. Every Sunday morning, the historical area turns into a bustling market offering a wide variety of goods such as arts and crafts, batik sarongs, fresh produce, local delicacies, antiques, souvenirs, pets and herbs. The market is filled with vendors selling everything from produce to cooked food to local crafts and souvenirs.
A sensory overload in the best way. So many new sights and flavors—from local specialties to exotic traditional foods blending Chinese, Malay, and Indigenous influences. Locals casually buy food and sit on the ground to eat. Smoke rises from BBQ stalls, and the gentle music of Islamic groups dining together fills the air. Truly atmospheric.
The A — Google review
Visited Gaya Street Night Market — it’s an interesting spot if you want to see and experience local food and goods. There’s a variety of local snacks and street food to try, but overall, the prices are quite pricey for what you get. It’s also very crowded, and there’s no proper place to sit and eat — no tables, so it’s not that comfortable, especially for tourists who might expect a more convenient dining setup. Still, it’s worth a visit if you just want to soak in the atmosphere, try a few bites, and see what the locals have to offer. Just don’t come too hungry or expect a proper meal spot!
Mamaamiey — Google review
This place is a great spot to visit with family and friends at night. There are many street food stalls, and all the food is very delicious. The prices are also reasonable. There are also entertainers such as live bands, guitarists, sape players, and groups of children singing. All the songs they played were really nice
Qystina _ — Google review
Gaya Street Night Market is lively with lots of food options and even some busking performances. Prices aren’t exactly cheap, but the atmosphere is fun. Sabah is generally known for being safe with minimal pickpocketing, yet it’s wise to stay cautious here because it can get very crowded.
Bob L — Google review
Best place to find local food & drinks. Accompanied with busker at every corner. Good place to hangout with friends/family. One missing star because lack of trash can nearby.
Humeiyra T — Google review
Some nice eateries, a few interesting shops (such as the Singer "museum"), but otherwise the street is not long, and has too many souvenir shops selling the same made-in-china products. Just come here and eat and go elsewhere.

Once you come hier, its gurantee you will get loads of food, clothing and so on for a very affordable price. The vendors and locals are so freundlich. Every Sunday morgen There ist a morgen Markt and its very beautiful. Even got to See the PM of Malaysia. ♥️♥️

Observation deck
Signal Hill Observatory Tower is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Kota Kinabalu. This iconic landmark offers visitors the chance to ascend its stairs and soak in breathtaking panoramic views of the city, Gaya Bay, and the stunning islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Although renovations are underway at the observatory platform until September 2023, adventurers can still trek to various vantage points around the hilltop for spectacular sights.
Great view of the city and the sea especially at dusk. Parking is on the road side so you may find it difficult to find a spot when it gets busy. By experience though only a few go here. Must visit for tourists to see the view.
Ramoncito G — Google review
The observation platform is permanently closed. Not worth the trip up the hill. You can still take some pictures from the roadside, but the nice view will be blocked by trees, poles & cables and the observation platform itself.
Wi ( — Google review
Steep and a bit creepy entrance. The wooden stairs were not well maintained start to fall apart. Some steps were missing and need to be extra careful. Reached the top and found out that it was temporary closed for some renovation. Sneaked in through a small gap and got to see nice view from the top though.
Aom S — Google review
Make sure you wear comfy clothes and shoes as it is quite steep way up. You will enjoy the view and cool wind upon reaching the top. There is a cafe at the top where you can buy coffee, water, ice cream etc.
Panchita M — Google review
Finally I managed to visit this place. Although it's night time, the view from above was beautiful despite the haze. You get to see the whole of Kota Kinabalu from up here. There's food and drink stalls for those who feel like having dinner up high with a magnificent view. If you have phobia of heights, just come and sit at the chairs provided. You can still enjoy the view without having to stand close to the edge. If you're driving at night and is not familiar with the road to this location, I suggest you drive slow as its quite dark. Overall, its a nice place to just chill and take pictures.
Confuzzled S — Google review
Sunset view at here with whole kk city and the we able to climb up there with 3 route, we take the 2 nd route which is not much Maintenance and go down with the 1st route with is much more shorter and easy to reach. The view is fantastic and you even can see the sea from top of the observation deck. Great place to visit.
Thew H — Google review
The main tower itself is currently under construction but there are benches by the sidewalk so you can still have a pretty amazing view. The hike up and down should not take more than 10min each way. Some planks are broken, so mind your steps. It's heavily covered by vegetation so it's cooling on a hot day
Mei Y — Google review
We are getting there by using a grabcar to the top of the hill. What a beautiful scenery and nice place. After that we are going down through the jungle trekking. We just follow the wooden trail and experience a little adventure, can hear the sound of birds, also feeling so peaceful with surrounds the jungle.

Masjid Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu is a grand mosque with a stunning blue and gold dome, partially surrounded by a lagoon. It offers tours and is a highlight of city tours in Kota Kinabalu. The area also includes Signal Hill, State Government Building, Double Six Monument, Atkinson Tower, Jalan Gaya, and other attractions. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the sea and the liveliness of the city.
The Masjid Bandaraya Floating Mosque in Kota Kinabalu is an architectural marvel and a serene oasis amidst the bustling city. Located on a manmade lake, this stunning mosque seems to float on the water, creating a breathtaking sight, especially during sunset. The mosque's design combines modern and traditional elements, with sleek lines, expansive glass windows, and a blend of Malay and Islamic architectural influences. The interior is equally impressive, with intricate details and beautiful calligraphy adorning the walls. Visitors can take a stroll around the mosque's perimeter, admiring its unique architecture and tranquil surroundings. The mosque also offers boat rides, allowing visitors to appreciate its beauty from different angles. While the mosque is a popular tourist destination, it remains a sacred place of worship, and visitors are expected to dress modestly and show respect. Overall, the Masjid Bandaraya Floating Mosque is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in architecture, culture, and spirituality. Entrance Fee: RM5, Cloth Rental: RM5.

Our visit to the Floating Mosque in Kota Kinabalu was truly memorable. The mosque is beautifully surrounded by water, giving the impression that it is floating gracefully above the sea — an impressive sight even before stepping inside. Its architecture is stunning, and the serene setting makes it a peaceful place to visit. Inside, the design is just as captivating, with intricate details that reflect both beauty and spirituality. The guides were friendly and very knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the mosque’s history, construction, and cultural significance. It was a wonderful family outing, and even the kids appreciated the calm and unique atmosphere. The combination of breathtaking views, interesting information, and warm hospitality made this visit well worth it. A must-see if you’re in KK.

Such a beautiful mosque in the heart of Kota Kinabalu. You can choose to explore either the inside or just admire it from the outside. I chose to stay outside since I wasn’t sure what to do inside a mosque. The heat was intense, and because the location is a bit far from the city center, it took longer than usual to hail a Grab or taxi. I had to look for shade while waiting. I stayed for about 5 to 10 minutes—just enough time to take a photo—then headed back.
Janu-Rey S — Google review
Very beautiful mosque. They will charge you only rm 5 for entrance but with clothes it will be rm 10.. very friendly and kind staff.
Ishari U — Google review
Beautiful mosque and very well worth the visit. It only cost 10 Ringgit or $2.38 US to enter which includes a rental of traditional clothing for both men and women. The mosque is quite small and very limited for exploration because they have a school in the mosque and the school area is restricted. Also some parts of the mosque is restricted to only worshippers.

Interesting visit, pay 10 MYR to go in to the mosque. This includes the Muslim clothing provided. The entry is to the none prayer areas.

🕌 Embracing Heritage and Culture at Masjid Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu Arrived around 5:20 PM via GrabCar, just in time to visit the outer grounds of Masjid Bandaraya before it closed at 6 PM. Entry for foreigners is RM5 (cash), with locals entering free by showing a Malaysian IC. Tickets are numbered and hole-punched, a clear sign that the process is properly tracked. Since we arrived late, we didn’t get to visit the main worship hall, which closes earlier and requires a separate ticket. Visitors may also be asked to wear a robe based on their attire, a small gesture that reflects deep respect for Islamic tradition. The staff were polite and informative, even pointed out Mount Kinabalu’s peak 🌄 and patiently explained how to identify it in the distance, a thoughtful touch that made the visit feel personal. 🧕🏽Pro tip: Wearing modest clothing may let you skip robe rental, but even if not, the fee is not a huge number, a small price to gain insight into Muslim customs and step into sacred space respectfully. Take it as a chance to learn, not just enter. Respect goes both ways. I spoke kindly and clearly, and was met with genuine warmth. If RM5 feels “too much,” maybe it’s not the mosque that needs questioning, but the attitude and mentality of our own.
Gliese — Google review

Rasa Ria Reserve by Shangri-La is a luxurious nature-oriented resort set in a 400-acre beach meets rainforest property with its own 64-acre nature reserve. The resort offers activities for both adults and children, including spa days, an 18-hole championship golf course, and the Kids Club. Children aged four to twelve can join the Ranger Experience or take part in the Bespoked Family Tour.
We spent only two nights there, and I regret not staying there from the beginning. The best hotel experience I ever had: the room at Ocean Wing has the best design, and the outdoor daybed and bathtub are amazing!! Rosslyn, Adrian and everyone at the resort were so friendly and helpful! Let me put it this way: if I ever return to Sabah, this hotel will be the main reason.
Uncle V — Google review
ocean wing room with balcony bathtub and ocean wing pool had lovely romantic views! and driver from airport was really patient (we made 3 pit stops lolol) firefly guide (unfortunately didn't get his name) was humorous, horse riding, jetski, atv, archery, banana boat guides and drivers were all so friendly and knowledgeable! saw an alligator, oyster farm and sea gypsies used lavender oil for sandflies at the beach, spf130 sunblock and basic insect repellant works. better to overpack than underpack because the weather is finnicky. scheduling and rescheduling activities would almost have been a headache if not for the patient staff. breakfast buffet at garden wing, lunch at ocean grill and drinks at garden wing bar was alright - ended up grabfooding from Abadi restaurant (right next to jetski area) twice! amazing crab, prawns and seafood. have to shoutout to room service dining - masala prawns was DELICIOUS! live music in the evening at garden wing bar was a thrill!

The perfect destination for a family getaway! The resort offers a great mix of indoor and outdoor activities to keep both kids and adults entertained throughout the stay. There’s no need to venture far for good food either—quality dining options are available within the hotel itself. Service is warm, attentive, and consistent, making the experience even more enjoyable. Rooms are clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, providing a relaxing space to unwind. For golf lovers, the on-site course is a real highlight—beautifully maintained and enjoyable to play. All in all, a fantastic resort that ticks all the boxes for a memorable family holiday.

Room has fridge, kettle, tea & coffee, TV, balcony, safe, iron & board, hairdryer, complementary water, large sofa, air conditioning & fan in room. Hotel has all facilities you would need including swimmimg pool, shop selling drinks, snacks & gifts. Hotel offers many activities. at reasonable prices. The hotel has several restaurants, a bar & coffee shop, these are quite expensive based on outside local prices. Breakfast buffet is amazing with lots of choice. Room service is available & they offer a reasonably priced laundry service. The staff are very helpful, polite & friendly.

This was my fifth time staying here. Upgraded my room to sea view and we got the room at the 6th floor. Since it is school holidays and it's the weekend, the resort had full occupancy. Check-in was a little bit slow but we were able to get our room right away. My children enjoyed the Adventure Point, the beach and the pool. Room service for in-room dining was very easy; scan QR code, choose the menu and submit online. The food is yummy! Masks, hand sanitiser, wet wipes are prepared for guests. There are many other activities provided at the resort but we didn't manage to enjoy it all. You should stay here at least for 2 nights to enjoy all of it. Great customer service too.

The hikes were easy and can be done for all ages if you are fit, I promise the best sun rise view if you are lucky, in entire Malaysia. The well-maintained course offers a picturesque setting with Mount Kinabalu in the background and abundant wildlife around, including monitor lizards, herons, eagles, and more. While it's an easy course for low handicappers, beginners may find it challenging due to water hazards on most holes. The clubhouse is clean and exquisite, but the restaurant opens late.
The golf course is well-maintained and offers a fantastic experience for golfers of all skill levels. The greens are lush, and the fairways are perfectly kept, making for an enjoyable and challenging game. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with beautiful scenery surrounding each hole. The staff are friendly and professional, providing excellent customer service. Additionally, the clubhouse offers great amenities, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Lovely 18 hole course which is part of the Rasa Ria resort. Challenging course with lots of water hazards. Par 3 11th home is very picturesque. Great wildlife around whilst playing - we saw monitor lizards, herons, eagles, Macau monkeys, humming birds + other birds & insects. Hire clubs available with gold buggies. Recommend early tee off time due to heart & humidity. We played at 8sm & then 6.30am - the latter being the better time. Cost for a round with buggy & hire clubs was c£85. Highly recommended.

Nice scenery, nature-friendly. The green is well maintained. We can see komodo king lizards And dont forget to keep your bag safe from monkeys

We only visited the driving range, which was shooting balls into a lake in a beautiful setting. The course looked great but we didn't actually play it. Staff were helpful and nice and the restaurant was good too.

Just played a round at Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club in Sabah — what a hidden gem! ⛳️ The course is beautifully laid out between the sea, rivers, and rainforest, with Mount Kinabalu peeking through on clear days. Super peaceful and scenic — definitely one of the most relaxing rounds I’ve had. The fairways were in great shape, greens rolled true, and it’s challenging enough to keep things interesting without being frustrating. Lots of water hazards though — so bring a few extra balls 😅. The course winds through the Shangri-La Rasa Ria resort, so you get that luxury vibe. Staff were very polite, helpful, and the buggies had GPS (always a bonus). After the round, we chilled at the clubhouse with a cold drink and watched the sun dip behind the hills — perfect end to the day. Only heads-up: it can get hot midday, so I recommend an early tee-off. And it’s a bit of a drive from Kota Kinabalu town, but worth the trip if you’re in the area. If you're a golfer visiting Sabah, this one’s a must-play. Beautiful, calm, and very well maintained

Tuaran Crocodile Farm is a captivating attraction with over 1000 crocodiles. The farm offers live crocodile shows where workers interact with the reptiles, including feeding, hugging, and kissing them. Visitors can also see various crocodile species such as Buaya Tembaga, Nile crocodiles, Aqua crocodiles, and Gharial crocodiles.
I thought it was a small place. But turnout to be quite big. There was quite a number of crocodiles! And of course few other animals. The koi fish is beautiful. There is crocodile show and after that is the crocodile feeding. There's some really really huge crocodiles! So cool.
Hui Y — Google review
Not sure where to bring your kids during holiday? Here's is a good place for family outing and spend time with. There had crocodile show at 1pm when we arrived. It was breathtaking and very atmospheric. We were very excited. 😆 Besides of a lot of crocodiles 🐊, there have other animals like monkey, pond fishes, rabbit, turtle, snakes, goose, goat etc. There also sell drinks, ice cream, some souvenir, and also crocodile egg 🥚!! You need to buy ticket at entrance. But it's definitely worth the ticket in my opinions.
Ken K — Google review
This place is a damn long way out, with a single-lane road for the last 7 kilometers—traffic jams all the way. When you finally get there, you face two different entrance fees: 35 MYR for foreigners and 18 MYR for locals. But the real shock hits once you step inside. Honestly, I’d say this feels more like a dump than a crockodile farm. The crocodiles are stuck in algae-covered, rusty concrete pits with dirty water. Some even have visible infections around their snouts, which is really concerning. I politely asked the staff multiple times to turn down the incredibly loud music blasting nonstop, but it never stopped. A place like this should be calm and peaceful so visitors can enjoy the animals—not overwhelmed by noise. The whole facility looks neglected and rundown. Considering all that, the prices are way too high for what you get. Overall, this place has a lot of room for improvement if they want visitors to have a decent experience and, more importantly, if they want to properly care for the animals.
Abc D — Google review
Interesting place with fun crocodile feeding shows to watch. There’s also a souvenir shop for keepsakes. Good for family visits. The area is fairly clean and staff are friendly, though there’s a bit of a strong smell sometimes.
Priscille A — Google review
It was a pleasant experience as far as zoos go. Wee got to hold a baby (2 years old) and got to see the crocodile show, which was more a demonstration of these animals fiercesome power. Then saw them getting fed which consisted of someone throwing chickens over a fence. I feel more effort could have been made to demonstrate the crocodiles skills. There were taxidermied crocs for pics and souvenirs to buy as well as a take off cross skin purses and bags.

some of the animals surrounding not very good, like the monkey, otter and the snake. Got entertain by the crocs , have performance at 3pm, got to see the oldest crocs. seems okay and many places to take photo.

Overall good experience. Would be great,if it will be possible to learn something about the residents of the farm. How long they are there, how often do they eat? Etc. Other animals like monkey, civet and bearcat, poor indoor design... These 3 look quite depressed :(

A Thrilling and Heartwarming visit As first-time visitors, our family had an absolutely unforgettable day at Ladang Buaya Tuaran! Right from the start, we were met with such a warm welcome, which immediately made us feel right at home. The experience kicked off on a high note, as we got the chance to have a photography session with a baby crocodile straight away—a unique and exciting moment for all of us. The park is incredibly family-oriented and considerate. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that admission is free for senior citizens (warga emas) and children under three, which is a wonderful gesture that makes the attraction accessible for the whole family. The entire setting is very kid-friendly, and I was particularly impressed with the clean and well-maintained toilets. Of course, the absolute highlight was the crocodile show! The suspense was palpable as the skilled stunt performer interacted with the massive crocodiles. Watching him bravely kiss and pose with one of the giants was a breathtaking spectacle that had us all on the edge of our seats. Beyond the thrilling main event, there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy. We loved watching the majestic arapaima and colourful koi fish swimming in their ponds, and the kids were delighted by the cute rabbits. It’s clear that this isn't just a crocodile farm but a well-rounded animal park. We had a fantastic time and are already planning our next visit. I'm especially looking forward to checking out the leather products in their shop. Highly recommended for a fun, clean, and exciting day out for all ages!

It’s fun and creative, especially for taking interesting photos. The staff were friendly and gave a short guided tour explaining the concept and details of the house. The only thing to note is that photography isn’t allowed inside, which was a bit disappointing since the interior is the most interesting part. Still, the tour was short and informative, and there’s a small souvenir shop at the exit. Overall, it’s a fun and quirky stop, great for families and anyone looking for something different to see in Sabah.

Not bad. Just too bad didn't allowed to take photo of the inside of the Up Side Down House. The 3D interactive gallery was kinda fun. A bit stuffy inside as the aircon was turned on quite late.

Couldn't take a picture inside The Rumah Terbalik, unlike the other Rumah Terbalik in other countries. Well, it's the management's right to do what they think is best. Shared some old photos here back in 2014.

It is such a unique place to visit but unfortunately you are not allowed to take photos from inside the upside down house. A lot of things in the house reminds me of my grandma's place. A lot of nostalgic things there.😊 And the staff there are super nice too!
Nadia N — Google review
Very unique. A place of attraction. The owner is innovative to construct an upside down house to attract the attention of the tourists in order to introduce the culture of the local bajau where the house has a distinct open concept. The kitchen, the sitting room and the common area are not divided with walls.

Fun family trip. Greeted right away by friendly guides. Site also houses a museum of sorts and clean toilets. We signed up for the short hike to see the Rafflesia before coming back to hose off our shoes and checked out the museum. A lot of information about Rafflesia sp, I wish there were more children-related info/activities board. Toilet is really clean and plenty of parking around. One of the must-do for visitors or locals alike.
Emily H — Google review
We drop by this Rafflesia IC, and we need to hire a guide. Cost to hire a guide is RM50 while to enter is RM5 per pax. Need to drive out to the main road, turn left and drive until you see the brown wall on the left. We entered, parked our car and looked for our guide. We have to do a little walk and hike in the jungle to spot the Rafflesia.
Gary O — Google review
Really knowledgeable staff. 15MYR to enter, as a conservation fee, and 100MYR per group (up to 5) for a guide. I highly suggest the guide, because they will bring you to the flowers, which would otherwise be very hard to find. They will also answer your questions. Went in February and saw 2: about 30cm each. One on day 3 of bloom, one on day 1.
Cassy J — Google review
About 1.5hrs drive from KK. Entrance fee was RM5/pax and RM50/5pax to hire tour guide (compulsory) for Malaysian. Foreigner will be x2 the price. Great place to see rafflesia. Have to trek 700m down on the day I visited. Sadly, it was raining on that day when we trek up. Recommended to standby a raincoat and wear covered shoes.
LengLeng — Google review
We turned up here to see the flower and there was one rafflesia on day 4 of bloom! It was only 350m into the forest! We paid 130rm for 2 people. Our guide was really good and he also took us to see the other dead flowers and the berry tree that is used to make coffee here. We only stopped here for around 30 minutes.

You can call or visit Sabah Tourism Board at Gaya Street. The number on this page is yet to be updated, they will update the contact number. Sabah Tourism Board at Gaya Street would be able to tell you there are how many plots that are having Rafflesia flower on that day as the Rafflesia Information Centre in Tambunan will keep them updated. The entrance to the Rafflesia centre is RM5 fpr Malaysian and the guided tour is RM50 for Malaysia (maximum 5 person in a group, if you have 5 person, RM50 will be devided into 5 person), I went alone, so I paid RM50, the tour is worth it. The tour guide is Wanisa, the lady in the photo. She is very informative, and kind enough to share her experience and knowledge about Rafflesia. Be extra careful with your steps cause you won't know what you will step on, follow the tour guide steps. I had a really great tour and learnt a lot about Rafflesia. Thanks to Wanisa. Do visit the gallery to read about Rafflesia before going to the tour.
Terence T — Google review
The museum is nice you can read a lot about the flowers and even about some other things, the guide was friendly and was really thoughtful to make sure we are careful and safe while we were walking even though the path wasn’t neither dangerous or hard at least for us but still very nice from her, and we were also so lucky to see not only one, but three Rafflesias blooming that day! Had a really good time, I would recommend to everyone who loves nature and flowers to come here, I think the money you pay is nothing to see this unique flower, really amazing! So thankful for this opportunity!
Rebeka E — Google review
I was driving from Tambunan to Kota Kinabalu when I saw this on the right. I pulled in. I only had 30 minutes max to see a Rafflesia in the wild. I was on my own so the RM115 was pricey but you are seeing a Rafflesia Pricei so what do you expect. A friendly guide drives you down the road and you clamber down a muddy track to see three flowers. One live, one dying and one sort of half way. I was lucky. Sometime there aren’t any blooming or they are far away. I’m glad I did it.

A day that we could thoroughly reckomend. Started with a lovely driver that collected us from our hotel and who was very generous with his time and knowledge. Then the quad bike instructor who was a very nice young man with patience and great smile. The bike trip was really fun and challenging. The lady who we organised the trip online was very helpful and responsive...We would highly recommend this day as a great day out.

Beautiful waterfall, well maintained place with path to the falls. No hike at all. We went in the afternoon yet nobody was there. Was nice to have the place for ourselves. There a hiking trail that you can take to see a huge tree.

Came here during a roadtrip to sabah..it wasnt a plan actually..i just drove till i reach this beautifully and magnificent waterfall..based on my sabahan friend suggestion..it was an hour and 20 minutes drive from KK via penampang..and the road to this waterfall are well paved...not too far from main road..approximately around 6km..once u arrive there, u need to register first and pay some entrance fee which is RM6 for malaysian (adult)..from the main gate, just walk for about 500 metres more...not too worries as it is mostly flat and very well paved trails ..the weather were so nice..it was cool and airy..until u see the waterfall at the end of the path..check out my photos...i highly recommended to you if u guys ever visited tambunan..please give a thoughts of this place...

Not too deep from the main road. Carparking freely, and walking distance to the water fall. After purchased ticket from the counter then walk in freely and enjoy the nature all the way to the waterfall. First time here to explore the natural wind from the waterfall. And the weathered rock just felt the years of edification.

I regularly dive with Bigfin and have had many memorable experiences with them. It was actually Bigfin that introduced us to a whale shark encounter, which I was fortunate to capture on video. That very video went on to win a competition—a moment I’ll never forget. Our dive last week was nothing short of amazing, with excellent visibility and vibrant marine life. If possible, I would love to dive with Bigfin every two weeks!
Ho M — Google review
Over the past 15 years I've had over 350 dives around the world and have never come across anywhere like Bigfin. It's not going to be for everyone. People who DON'T enjoy amazing diving whilst staying at a friendly all inclusive resort should not go as you'll ruin it for those who will have an incredible time. My niece took her Padi OW with Jack as her instructor. We joined her for her 4th dive and her buoyancy, air consumption and understanding was beyond what I've encountered with many Advanced OW divers with 20+ dives. I'd recommend anyone considering their OW to train with Jack. The fun dives at Bigfin's "special" location were a surprise. We were a little unlucky with the weather as we caught the tail end of a storm from further north and Kindu cautioned us that the viz may not be the best. The viz was around 10m but there was so much to see that we begged to return here on every subsequent dive. The variety of marine fauna and flora was a real surprise. Coral Cat Sharks Bamboo Sharks Rays Peacock Mantis Small octopus and the largest octopus I've seen anywhere All types of colorful nudibranchs and flat worms Crocodile fish **Frog Fish** Along with many other creatures. Kindu was one of the best Dive Masters I've dived with. Thorough, fun, safe and didn't miss spotting the smallest and largest creatures underwater. The boat was handled brilliantly by Capt Omar. There were never any safety issues on the drops or pick ups and he ferried us to the dive spots comfortably in the well laid out boat. The equipment was mostly Mares and all was in good condition. Water temp was a comfortable 30°C so a shorty wetsuit will more than suffice here. The food at the resort is local style. Brekkie: banana pancakes /eggs and toast/ fruit Lunch: Some form of meat dishes, rice /noodles, veggies and fruit Dinner: Different meat dishes, rice/ noodles and veggies. We all really enjoyed the food. If you get to visit and sample Chef Awie's fried chicken or his Nasi Lemak, you'll be comparing it to fried chicken and nasi lemak everywhere else you travel in Malaysia. The rooms are really well designed. No air-conditioning which was a slight concern as I personally like to sleep cold but the location of the rooms allows for a good breeze and the fan is more than adequate. A lot of our downtime was spent in hammocks. There are hammocks on your deck, where you can enjoy views across the bay to Mt Kinabalu along with hammocks around the gardens and on the beach. We stayed 6 days and wished we could stay longer. Kayaking to the island is easy and takes 20mins at a leisurely pace. Snorkelling was mixed with some days being amazing where we saw eels, clown fish, Squid and nudibranchs and other days after the storm when we could barely see each other. There is absolutely no doubt that we'll be returning! Tip: pack light /use rucksack and wear swimmers/boardshorts and flip flops for the boat transfer from Dragon Beach to Big Fin as you may need to enter the boat in knee deep water on certain sides.

I had a wonderful time at BigFin divers. What a wonderful team we only were able to stay for one night but huge thanks to Awie for taking care of us and his awesome meals. And thanks to the diving team, Kinda, Jake and Jo all legends and what a beautiful place you can call work. I hope to inspire my kids to take up scuba-diving so I can come back and see you all.

We stayed here for 3 nights after 4 nights staying in Sepilok and Kinatangtan. The speed boat transfer from Dragon Pearl Beach resort was a fun start to our stay. Although we didn’t dive, we (family of 4 with kids age 6 and 8) still had plenty to do - snorkelling, kayaking and playing games on the beach etc. The beach and sea were clean, the staff were happy and friendly and the food was fantastic! So impressed with the delicious food they prepare in a small kitchen with limited electricity. The rooms were clean and tidy and all had beautiful views. We got lucky and had a bunch of lovely other guests staying at the same time. This place seems to attract people who were are kind and friendly and it was nice for the kids to hang out together.

We had an amazing time diving with Big Fin Divers. We were taken care of all the time, the difficulty level was properly adjusted to our needs (AOWD and intro), the atmosphere was great, our divemasters were helpful, kind and informative. This Diving Centre is a great choice, highly recommend and 100% will dive with them again :) The gear, the boat, the meals - all great.

Beautiful beach resort that host various activities especially diving! A divers paradise and a beautiful view away from the hustle and bustle of Kota Kinabalu City. Located in a remote area near Kota Belud this resort is magnificent with the beautiful skies, scenery and breeze that it offers all day long. Their dive sites are pristine too! With 20M plus visibility on good days it’s a really good experience for divers who hunt for new experiences. Their rooms are fully equipped with everything you need, and feels very cozy and warm. The staff are very friendly and professional.

We had such an amazing time here. Family of four (11yo, 5yo) and it was just perfect. Food was amazing (chef Awie makes everyone three meals a day - best pancakes, excellent local style lunch and dinner). All the staff were super friendly and chill. The vibe was just right - doesn’t matter if you’re a diver or not (we weren’t but we did kayak and snorkel). Beaches are out of this world and the rooms, although basic, were all you’d ever need. Highly recommend!
James G — Google review
Overall a great experience to stay and learn diving. The place is well maintained, clean, serene, and self sustaining through its water and electricity supply. WiFi is provided in common areas with lights off at 11:30am due to lack of cellular reception. Diving instructors here are friendly and patient. As for mine, he clarified uncertainties and was patient throughout the whole process. A huge shoutout to Jo, Kak Ros, Ella, Jel, Lee, Maman, Faizal, Sal and the rest of the team who made it an enjoyable vacation from start to finish. Despite being injured, they made a smile throughout the stay. *Note: If you’re looking for someone to drive you here, you can reach out to Faizal. His contact can be shared by the hostess here. ** Corals here are bleached. However, if you swim to deeper areas, the marine life here is magnificent. Was able to see an olive ridley turtle, lion fishes, angel fishes, clown fishes, and many more during a dive. Whale shark are seasonable (January) while manta rays are rare. *** A place to relax and dive but not really for snorkelling. **** The accommodations are located on the hill. Would recommend to bring an easy carrying bag such as a bag pack/duffel bag as guest are to carry their own belongings up. However, they’ll assist in bringing your items into and out of the boat from common areas.

This is the first time me and my family going to the beach resort in Kota Belud to celebrate family day with friends. The beach is so clean. And the view is so beautiful. They have a restaurant, cafe and mini store for snack and drinks. There is a lot of activities you can do here. The room price is affordable. We decided to stay one night to see what it's like. It's rain at night, and some of the roof is leaking. Two of the mattresses and pillows is wet. The room need to repair. But at 3 o'clock at dawn, the rain has stop. Me and my husband got awake by someone trying to get in our room. I shout until that guy run away while stealing my husband slippers, and leaving his own slippers halfway on the stairs through our door. In the morning, 2 person coming in front of our room, and giving back my husband slippers without saying anything until we ask what's going on. They said it was their brother that got drunk and forgot the way? It's weird? Theirs room is below us. Anyway, it's was nice listening to the ocean when you sleep. We enjoy and like the place. We would like to come again. There's a lot of activities we haven't try yet at dragon beach resort.

We visited for the day only . Firstly the beach is stunning ! By far the best beach in the area . There was not a single piece of trash on this beach, and the water was calm and clear . The staff do a great job keeping the beach clean (if only other beaches were like this) We had lunch and dinner and a couple of tiger beers whilst there . The food was basic but good and the beer was cold. All in all, this is a great place to spend a day , maybe next time we will book a room

Nature & Parks
Nestled within the breathtaking Mount Kinabalu, the Mount Kinabalu Botanical Garden is a paradise for nature lovers. The well-maintained trails offer a leisurely stroll amidst a diverse array of vibrant flowers, exotic plants, and rare orchids. Visitors can revel in the tranquil atmosphere with the soothing sound of flowing water and the harmonious melodies of birds and insects. The garden's affordable entrance fee makes it an accessible destination for immersing oneself in nature's wonders.
I visited the botanical garden in Kinabalu Park. The air was very clear in the morning, and the temperature was around 25 degrees, which was cool and didn't make me tired even while walking. In this botanical garden, you can observe many endemic and wild plants of Borneo, such as orchids, ferns, mosses, and carnivorous plants. It is a must-visit spot for plant lovers! There are quite a few insects, so if you're not fond of them, please take insect repellent measures. We enjoyed the botanical garden with explanations about the plants from a local guide. If you are staying at a hotel near Kinabalu Park and can visit this park early in the morning, you can enjoy birdwatching. Please give it a try.
Kazu-kun — Google review
We visited Kinabalu Park as part of a guided day tour, and our primary focus was the Botanical Garden within the vast and picturesque park. Though our tour covered the entry fees — RM 50 for foreign visitors to the park and RM 5 for the Botanical Garden. We felt the visit was worthwhile as a brief stop amidst other local attractions. While the garden showcases a variety of flora, our experience would have been better had there been more orchids and any Rafflesia in bloom. If you're primarily interested in wildlife, be advised that animal sightings were limited to the occasional squirrel, lizard, and butterflies. The garden does offer a chance to appreciate the delicate beauty of a damp forest environment. We did not hike Mount Kinabalu, which wasn’t part of our itinerary, thus our exploration was restricted to the paths. We spent around 30 minutes wandering through the garden before moving on. Overall, while it may not warrant a dedicated trip, it serves as a pleasant interlude in a day filled with other local sights.

People will see different value in the botanical gardens depending on their level of interest in plants and whether or not they have a guide to explain things to them or not. This was an additional fee to the national park entry however from memory this was a very low fee. I came here by myself unguided and to me, the main appeal was just the photography. I got lucky in that there was a low hanging mist and fog through the gardens which made for some cool photos. However I think you would get more value from this if you did it with a guide who could point out the different types of plants to you. The Browne Town.

Located within the Kinabalu Park, and known for its rich biodiversity and well-maintained trails. You can choose to explore it on your own or hire an optional guide to enhance your experience with detailed insights into the unique flora, including rare orchids and pitcher plants. The Kundasang War Memorial, established in 1962, is one of the earliest memorials dedicated to honoring the British and Australian soldiers who perished at the Sandakan POW Camp during World War II. It pays tribute to those involved in the tragic Sandakan Death March, a series of forced marches that resulted in a devastating death toll.
Kundasang War Memorial is a must visit place in Kundasang. It commemorate a horrific event of WWII where 2428 prisoners of war died. The memorial is on a hill behind Kundasang market. Inside we will find Australian Garden, English Rose Garden and Borneon Garden to mark the origins of the many POW. And the Contemplation Garden offers a poignant reminder of the horrors of war. Plenty of parking nearby. There is a small entrance fee.

Overrated place, charging entrance fee claiming as maintenance fee but not doing any maintenance. It was very obvious this place is lacking maintenance, dirty and everywhere stain of alga or lots of dried leaves. Many photos on google review are old photos, yes, they looked nice but that was many years ago. Now it look totally different and feel like abandoned place, yet they charge entrance fee. There is a small shop there, one of the guy working there has super bad attitude. When asking the direction to toilet he basically stared without answering, but, remember, on top of charging entrance fee they also charge toilet fee. And for the toilet is was super weird that they wrote on the wall asking you to save water DONT FLUSH….. I don’t recommend coming here, for any tourist.
Siauhwa T — Google review
I had no idea this place existed and I found it almost by accident but I'm really glad I did. It tells the tale of the prisoners of war from Sandakan, the death march and of the local heroes who tried to help them along the way. There are different gardens in remembrance of those from Australia, England and the local population as well as good views out to Mount Kinabalu. The cost of entry was 15 ringgit for a non-Malaysian (I think?) but this is definitely worth it. The gardens are very well kept and there is enough information to make it interesting. A place of memorial and tribute to all those lost lives during world war 2. Didn't learn this in Sejarah though. Great opportunity to learn about the real history with the existence of this kinda memorial.
Mohan K — Google review
For Malaysian you need to pay rm5 for entry. But its a good price to commemorate the fallen soldiers and their sacrifices. It's peaceful. The flowers are tended, the place is clean.
Wahidah K — Google review
It's very disappointing that this place is not well managed. If I come next year, there will most likely be nothing that has changed. For example, the landscaping of the area, the flowers are not in order, the pool water is dirty, and a lot of RM1 money & coins is thrown in, probably as a token of appreciation to the soldiers. Maybe the management can collect the money for the purpose of repairing the area. Bagi sa lh kn masuk d sini teda yg bikin WAHHH, cuma mmmmm seja🥲

Enjoyed every moment step to historical place which my kids keep asking what it said and why it happen. They took a lot of picture which really enjoy to see them learning it..the garden build if own nostalgic memory within the cabin hang a lot frame that had it story, picture and letter that touch ur ❤️ heart...will visit again

If in the area worthy of a visit. A memorial to celebrate the lives of all those that perished on the death march, separate dedicated gardens for the Australian and British troops, the gardens are a bit run down and need some TLC, still worth the time to visit.

Sosodikon Hill Kundasang

Mountains
Sosodikon Hill in Kundasang is a popular spot for a short and easy hike, suitable for people of all ages. The 1465 meters tall hill offers stunning views of the valley and Mount Kinabalu on clear days. It's recommended to wear proper hiking shoes due to slippery and rocky slopes. The trek is not advisable for those with knee issues. Visitors are advised to arrive early to avoid cloud cover obstructing the mountain view.
If you want to see sunrise on this hill, you need to notify the staff 1 day before. The hill is not steep but it still gives a hiking experience because 80% of it is rocky terrain, not stairs. The wind in the morning is very strong. If you can't withstand the cold, please wear extra clothing or a sweater. Only high performance drones that can withstand strong wind are able to fly. I brought my DJI Neo but didn't dare to fly it.

Sosodikan Hill is an excellent location for a spectacular view of Mt.Kinabalu and Kundasang. A short climbing height of around 65(?)m and 12mins effort would bring you to a height of 1465m above sea level. The platform constructed at the peak of the hill allow for a safe viewing spot. You would not be disappointed. This short trek and the well maintained trail makes it suitable for families to attempt. There is a small fee for the climb and there are parking for your car nearby.

Short climb up in the heat but the view to the left was very nice. To the right more agreculture. Nice flowers and butterflies and the swallows that flew over. Maybe the platform etc to collerfull. It does not comply with nature. But for RM 10 oke
Pjotr M — Google review
The walk up to the hill is much more gradual than the Pyramid hill. Its better for the less fit tourist. Nice view of the kinabalu mountain from the peak of this hill. Its a nice location for good photo taking. Place is kept clean. However parking space is limited. The souvenir sold here are nice. I like this hill view.

Here’s a refined version of your review: Sosodikap Hill, Kundasang – Review Sosodikap Hill in Kundasang is a great spot to visit after completing the Mount Kinabalu hike. It’s a simple hill, but the view is absolutely stunning offering an amazing sight of Mount Kinabalu and the surrounding nature. I truly loved the scenery and the peaceful atmosphere. A beautiful place worth stopping by!

A breathtaking hidden gem in Kundasang! 🌄 Sosodikon Hill offers one of the most stunning panoramic views of Mount Kinabalu. The short hike to the top is quite easy and suitable even for beginners or families. Once you reach the peak, the scenery is absolutely worth it — rolling hills, cool mountain breeze, and a perfect view for sunrise or sunset photos. There’s also a small stall near the parking area where you can buy local snacks and drinks. The trail is well maintained, and the locals are very friendly. If you’re visiting Kundasang, Sosodikon Hill is a must-visit spot for nature lovers, hikers, or anyone who wants to enjoy peaceful mountain vibes away from the crowd. 📸 Tip: Come early in the morning for the best light and fewer people.
Wardah M — Google review
You need to come here before 7am to get the best view! We came here at 7am and the gunung kinabalu still visible without any cloud. Can get the full view of gunung kinabalu. Price is rm5 per entry. There will be dogs follow you around, might be their tour guide. But the dog is good dont worry. Gotta hike for 600m maybe till you reach the top. Quite tired if you’re not fit enough :p
Win — Google review
Tips to someone who rarely go hiking, bring your water with you! The hike is not long but still being hydrated would be beneficial for you. The view is MESMERIZING.

Poring Hot Spring is a popular resort complex located in Kinabalu Park, offering outdoor pools filled with natural mineral-rich hot spring waters. The attraction features an outdoor pool consistently at about 33 degrees Celsius (92 Fahrenheit) with natural minerals and a cascading waterfall, known for its therapeutic properties that can relieve tense muscles and skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
Bring towel and change of clothing with you. If u want privacy, take the private hotspring pool with a fee. To cool down, you can visit two waterfalls way down the path after the We skipped the canopy walk due to time constraint.

Amazing park and it is one of UNESCO heritage sites. Very beautiful place to enjoy nature. but better be prepared and come in with right outfit, shoes and a big bottle of water if you plan to go to the Canopy walk since the hike will take aprx. 1000 meter up.
Sosa K — Google review
Canopy walk is closed for major maintenance. Butterfly garden with very few butterflies. Hotspring footspa is free, and 10rm to rent a tub for 3hours. there is a mini water park, fee applies. good to spend a hot afternoon there with family. 15min trek to a very cooling waterfall, that worth visiting! Overall a well maintained park.
Bel W — Google review
Absolute waste of time and money for foreigners. The entry fee if MYR 50 per person entitles you to NOTHING except just to enter. If you like to use the hot spring you NEED to pay, if you like to use swimming pool with FREEZING water you need to pay. Overall this whole complexis very rin down and poorly maintained. Better to go to Kundasang for free breathtaking views.
Marino T — Google review
place is pretty far out but worth coming for the hike to the 2 waterfalls. note that the langanan waterfall hike is pretty tough and requires hikers to start it before 9/10am. only went to the nearer waterfall and spent an hour there. there are mini fishes in the shallow waters where you can dip your feet into. very fun! there’s a restaurant inside for you to grab a meal - food was delicious.
Anna K — Google review
Well-maintained (improved from the last time I came. Price breakdown for one adult: Parking RM5 for 1 car, park entrance fee RM10, cold water pool with slides RM3, hot water pool RM10. There is also private bathtub room with RM35 per room The toilet is clean. The area is clean. The counter receptionist is friendly. Good job Sutera Sanctuary Lodges team.
Syazwani — Google review
50rm entrance fee for foreigners and 10rm for malaysians. I partly understand the higher tax for foreigners and if it.s for conservation purposes i.m happy to pay it. But this is one of the very few times when i feel scammed. The canopy walk was closed for maintenance, the rafflesia was not in the blooming season, the biggest hot spring was closed as well, the small ones were just some small bathtubs with faucets, Langanan Waterfall could only be reached if starting the hike before 10am (the park opens at 9am) and the butterfly had just a few butterflies. The disappointment was that none of this info was told at the ticket office, neither was it available on the park website. So basically the highlight of our visit was a 4m high waterfall and the A/C where they had the dead bugs. Would have never willingly paid 50rm for that..

Sutera Sanctuary Lodges @ Poring Hot Springs is a hidden gem located in Kota Kinabalu, offering a 2.5 to 3-hour drive from the city. Nestled amidst lush tropical vegetation, the accommodations provide clean and hygienic rooms with a colonial feel, ensuring comfort for guests. In addition to enjoying the hot springs, visitors can partake in various activities such as canopy walks while immersing themselves in the peaceful and serene environment surrounded by towering trees and bamboo.
A Perfect Getaway at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge, Poring Our recent stay at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge, Poring was truly an unforgettable experience. We stayed at Palm Villa 1 & 2 as well as River Lodge and Kelicap Twin Rooms, and from the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking villa, cozy ambiance, and fantastic décor. The attention to detail in the interior design created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making us feel at home instantly. We were warmly welcomed, and it was comforting to see that staff were on standby at the villa, ready to assist us whenever needed. The hospitality was top-notch. The check-in process was smooth, and we were delighted by the friendly and professional service provided by the staff. A special thank you to Mr. Redzuan, the Service Manager - Resort Operation, for ensuring that every aspect of our stay was well taken care of from arrival to departure. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly made a difference. The staff members were exceptional—Ange, Talia, Alice, and many more whose names we, unfortunately, couldn't list, but they all played a significant role in making our stay memorable. Their warm smiles, attentiveness, and willingness to assist made us feel incredibly welcomed. What stood out most was their quick response to our needs, especially in accommodating elderly guests and individuals with disabilities. Their readiness to assist at the villa showed their commitment to top-tier hospitality. Dining was another highlight of our stay. The BBQ and steamboat dinner were simply delicious, offering a perfect blend of flavors and a delightful dining experience. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a great variety of choices to suit different preferences. Overall, Sutera Sanctuary Lodge, Poring exceeded our expectations in every way. The beautiful villas, outstanding service, and warm hospitality made our stay incredibly special. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed retreat in nature. Thank you once again to the entire team for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here as part of a Trailfinders trip and our room was really nice, right next to the water filter station and only a short walk from the restaurant. The dinner and breakfast was great and varied. The area itself has lots to offer including a canopy walk, butterfly garden and hot springs. WiFi only available in the reception and restaurant areas. It was lovely and highly recommend.

I loved this place! The waterfall hike is beautiful, the hot springs very relaxing- 10 Rigits for a private tub you can fill at pleasure- and the cool rock pools are for free. Moreover, if you stay overnight at Sutera , you can use the pools after closing hours, giving them an even more relaxed vibe. The restaurant offers very delicious food, the breakfast was fantastic. Not to mention the super friendly staff at the reception that gave us a free upgrade. Btw- as we had climbers’ tags from the day before we did not have to pay any park entrance fees.

We stayed here as part of our tour in Borneo with EXO tours as a trailfinders package trip. the accommodation was very comfortable and clean, evening meal and breakfast was served in the restaurant in the park. The food was excellent and service was amazing. Staying here allows entry in to the park after 3pm. good base for the canopy walk and walks around the park.

We stayed in the riverside cottage which consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a hall. Ideal for 2 small families or one big family. It is very cosy just beside the flowing stream. Very comfortable stay experience. This place is far from the main town of Ranau so you are solely relying on their restaurant. We like the food. But not very happy with the breakfast options. This place is within the Hotspring KK National Park. So everything is within walking distance. A good piece of advice is to carry your rain gear because it rains very unpredictably here. Also if you are planning to visit make sure you arrive early because activities close by 3 pm.

A quiet place. Overnight here before going up Mt KK. Need to walk a little to the restaurant. The food choice is limited. I enjoyed my stay here.

Healed our tired soul and body from a long bus trip, although we didn’t have the chance to try out the hot spring and gardens’ exploration, but their heart felt services have won our hearts. We’ll definitely come back again

Stayed at villa 2. Super clean and luxurious. Loved the location as the nature reserve and hot springs are just right at the doorstep. Food was limited to rainforest restaurant, but we don’t mind as the food was tasty! Sue and her team were super welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again!

Sg. Moroli Fish Spa is a delightful escape nestled in the heart of nature, perfect for those seeking relaxation and fun. Located about 45 minutes from Kundasang Town, this serene spot features a fast-flowing river where visitors can choose to wade or dip their feet among hundreds of playful fish. For just RM4, you can enjoy the shallows, while RM8 allows for a more immersive experience.
Definitely most interesting thing to do in Kundasang/Ranau! 30 mins drive away from kundasang city centre and swarm by fish that you can feed ( fish do not eat dead skin, only fish pellets). These are koi fish/ carps so does not naturally found there but still interesting to do! Entrance fee is rm5 and there aren’t an any place to keep shoes safe and can get quite cramp so best it’s to be there early
Doodle F — Google review
This is our second time visiting Fish Spa Sg Moroli, and it’s still a fun and unique experience — especially for kids! One thing that makes it special is that the fish here are bigger than the usual tiny ones at other fish spas, so you can really feel them nibbling away at your feet. They also have fish food available, which makes it even more fun because you can attract more fish to come to you. My kid really enjoyed feeding the fish and watching them gather around. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area — relaxing, different, and a great memory for the family!
Mamaamiey — Google review
The staff really nice, good personality. The river "tagal" full of grown fish. Do not recommend the fish massage if you have any skin problem or disease, one of my student got his leg bleed because of thin skin.

🌿 My Experience at Sg. Moroli Fish Spa, Sabah 🐟 What an unforgettable experience! At Sungai Moroli Fish Spa, I got to dip my feet into the crystal-clear river while hundreds of small fish gently nibbled away the dead skin — it felt ticklish at first but super relaxing after a while. The water was so fresh and cold, surrounded by beautiful nature and friendly locals who explained the history of the place. If you love something different and close to nature, this is definitely a must-visit spot in Sabah. A perfect blend of relaxation, laughter, and natural therapy — highly recommended for everyone visiting Ranau or Kundasang area! 💦✨

Sabah Tea Resort Restaurant

Restaurant
Sabah Tea Resort in Ranau offers a unique breakfast experience with a backdrop of lush tea plantations and stunning natural scenery. The resort's restaurant serves fresh and healthy morning dishes made from high-quality local ingredients, including the popular choice of toast with tea jam. While the factory may appear abandoned, the cafe is fully operational and offers paid attractions such as a treetop deck and traditional costume rentals. Visitors can also enjoy various photo spots, although some areas of the tea farm may appear less dense.
Nestled among the lush green hills of Sabah, this restaurant serves more than just tea. It serves serenity. From the first sip of warm Sabah tea to the last glance at the misty hills, everything here feels like a postcard. If you’re ever in need of a peaceful escape paired with hearty local flavours, this is the place. Highly recommended for tea lovers, nature seekers, and anyone who needs a deep breath of calm.
Mrsrozanna — Google review
The farm isn’t very big and the tea plants aren’t neatly arranged so if you’re expecting something like Cameron Highlands, this isn’t quite it. But on the bright side you can cover the whole area pretty quickly. It can get hot, so wear something light and bring an umbrella. Most of the activities and attractions are in one area, which makes it easy to get around. The tree house canopy walkway was short and not too high, don’t expect anything super adventurous but it gives a nice bird’s-eye view of the ladang. It’s also quite breezy up there. The cafe was okay. The scones weren’t great, but the tomyam was good. We also had salted egg prawn, which was pretty sedap. Plenty of parking too, so no worries there. Tips: Get the exotic flavour series of Sabah Tea as a souvenir. I grabbed a few, lemongrass, cinnamon and ginger. Wanted to try the agarwood tea at the cafe but it was sold out and I couldn’t find it at the souvenir shops either. When I tried looking elsewhere, they only had the usual teh o ais type. Thank god i got some already at the farm!
Rabi'atul A — Google review
Stopped by Sabah Tea Restaurant for a quick bite — we only had the pancakes, which were average in taste, nothing special. But the menu does offer some unique local dishes, and we saw other diners enjoying their food, so maybe the other items are better. The view of the tea plantation adds a nice touch, though it’s not exactly stunning — parts of it look a bit abandoned or not well maintained. Still, it’s a peaceful spot to sit and relax with a cup of tea. They also have a souvenir shop, but the prices are really expensive. Even the tea costs more than what you’d pay for the same Sabah Tea at retail shops down the hill.
Mamaamiey — Google review
Wont come here again and not recommended. Service is fast, venue is well maintained, view is nice. My friend ordered tomyam noodles and had “worm” on the prawn. Nobody apologised for the worm but only said free of charge for the tomyam noodles but I couldnt continue to eat my mee hoon curry. We also found a fly in Teh Tarik Pandan and the waffles is below average. Additional 1 hour drive here from kundasang is not worth it

June 2025 Nice place to chill and relax for short drink. Ordered teh pandan cold RM 7.00, tham cold RM 9.00, and pandan waffle RM 18.00. Total RM 34
David L — Google review
The drive to this place is scenic and beautiful, but do note that some parts of the road are bumpy with potholes and damages—drive carefully. It gets quite hot in the area, but there’s ample parking. There’s a tree house with a short canopy walk, which is chargeable for 10 minutes (price is shown in the picture attached). We enjoyed a lovely walk along the tea plantation trail—great for taking photos and soaking in the lush greenery but bear in mind when we were there, the place was super hot. So some umbrellas or hats are advisable. We didn’t try their actual hot or cold teas, so we can’t comment on that. We only had some snacks, desserts, and drinks. Here’s what we tried: • Green tea smoothie was not good • Sirap Bandung was average • Banana fritters were okay • Green tea pancake was decent • Green tea ice cream was good • Mixed fruit platter was alright (pineapple was a bit sour, but watermelon was okay) They have traditional clothings for rent for those who are interested. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit for nature lovers and casual bites, with photo-worthy surroundings.

Nice food from the set menu of rm40 each. Would have been interesting to have an informative or educational tour of the history and process of tea making.
Joan L — Google review
The food here is not up to taste. Kimchi fried rice tasted bland for a kimchi?! Sweet sour fish tasted more like sweet sauce. The most dish that I am super frustrated is the FISH FINGER. How can you serve FISH CAKE as fish finger in a RM30 DISH?!!!! RIDICULOUS! Please improve and use right fillets!!!!! The tea? Not so good to me. The scone? So so but at least that’s the most edible we could have here. Meanwhile they have no good view here, just a short hanging bridge but is chargeable at rm5 per head haha not worth it at all. It’s not like you can get a view out of it. Bad experience here I must say.
