I went on a summer day, Friday afternoon and the beach was full of crowds and a whole lot of children running around. It wouldn’t be such a good idea as a getaway, but I guess the dining establishment along the beach would offer something for everyone. I sat down for a drink to cool down and enjoy the sound of the waves and that served my purpose. To my surprise despite huge crowds there, the water really was very clean and the sand was soft and fine. There are more adventurous water sports options there such as paragliding. Very accessible by metro, get off at Dameisha station.

It's one of the best known beaches in China and, combined with different tiers of hotels and shopping arcades, I'm sure it's it's one of the most visited. With the opening of Dameisha subway station right next to it (exit A), it was just jammed with people. Btw, the decorations at the station echoes the beautiful beach outside. Don't forget to take some pictures on the way out.

This is a nice trail ending with the beautiful sea beach and water reservoir. You can get taxi from the end of the reservoir point. Try to bring enough water because there is no shop near the beach or reservoir.

Sai Kung East Country Park is a 44.77 sq. kilometre country park that was designated in 1978 and includes some of the most beautiful and best hiking locations in Hong Kong. Great hike from Sai Wan Ting (西灣亭) to Sai Wan (西灣) beach. Around 1-1.5 hours hike. Expect quite a lot of downhill on the way to Sai Wan, hence the return journey would be quite tough. Many people choose to take speedboat directly from Sai Wan to Sai Kung pier. You can enjoy the magnificent view of Highlands Reservoir (the largest reservoir in HK) on your way and also the small rivers nearby.

It's just really beautiful and peaceful. Keep in mind that the last bus from the area leaves at 6pm (18h00). If you miss it you can always grab a cab but it's obviously cheaper to catch the bus.

Lovely place to bring a yacht. Not too many other boats. Watch out for the little islands covered in sharp shells. They look soft but you might cut up your feet.

Beautiful and yet unpolluted beaches and campsites. There are 10~35kms scenic routes for hiking. Shops in Sai Wan and Ham Tin Wan provide snack & drinks. Popular for trail running events, families and teenages. But may not be easy for families with strollers or without reasonable physical fitness.

World of Copy products. Watches, bags, shoes, clothes, glairs, accessories, Chinese crystals and Feng shui items, foot massage parlor and much more. You must be a pro in bargaining or you will have hard time dealing with sellers. Overall cool place for shoppers.

Great mall with variety of shops selling all different kinds of stuff. The prices are affordable, compared to Hong Kong. Getting custom tailored clothes (especially wedding attire) is common here!

I rarely give bad reviews, and I really wanted to like this place. But you’re constantly being harassed, people following you to force you to buy things. You have to haggle eveeeerry single thing, which becomes exhausting. I was ready to buy tons of things, but I spent two hours here and i only got a T-shirt. People get mad at you if you don’t buy from their stores.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. People constantly walking alongside you trying to sell stuff. They will not leave you alone. Had 2 people following me at the same time. One started following me when I wasn’t even in the building. Wanted to check some stuff but ended up just calling a day and leaving without nothing.

Simply superb! I didn’t have enough time exploring the whole park (it seems like a big park as shown in the map), just a small hike to go visit Deng Xiaoping Statue before sunset. Very nice, clean and quiet place, it feels like a breeze of nature in the middle of a highly industrialized city like Shenzhen. I love the cozy book/coffe shop downhill as well. Good architecture. Another +1 for this place is the seated toilet 😉. Personally like it as a tourist. I will go back to this place and will plan to spend a full day here.

A highlight of my trip to the futian district of shenzhen would be hiking up the garden and viewing the city from this vantage point. Definitely worth a visit! You can see most of the central business district from the top of lianhuashan park. Do note a climb of about 15mins is required and can be quite uncomfortable due to the heat and humidity if you are visiting in the summer. I got to see many kids visiting the park on a school day too! Nice little excursion for the kids.

Huge park with lots of things to do like Picknicks, walking, dancing etc. You can easily spend half a day here. There are many vending machines and many vendors which sell different kind of food, drinks and things. Of course the view of Shenzhen from the top is a real highlight. It’s a pretty easy walk up there but with the heat and the humidity it was really unbearable for me that day. So just take it slow and bring water with you!

Came here for the light show but honestly it was very underwhelming 😂 not sure what we were expecting but this was not worth squeezing and bracing the crowds for. We weren’t the only ones disappointed, you could tell from everyone’s faces when it ended. Would still recommending coming during the day to enjoy the breeze and view when it’s not so crowded!

Visited Victoria Harbor during the day and at night-both were incredible experiences. The buildings lit up at night and it was breathtaking, and the reflections on the water were beautiful. The architecture of the buildings was amazing. Definitely have to come see this if you ever visit HK.

The Victoria Harbour is absolutely beautiful! It gets very crowded around sunset but is completely empty at sunrise. It is a large harbour, so do not feel pressure to stand by the statue with 1000s of other people. Take a stroll in either direction, and you should have no problem finding an open spot to snap a photo and take in the views.

Best way to cross between Hong Kong and Kowloon for 5HKD. The night trip is especially nice with great harbor cityscape views. Morning rides are less busy. You can tap your credit card or digital wallet and don’t need to buy advance tickets.

Very cool experience riding the Star Ferry across to Hong Kong Island. The ferries operate there and back fast, so no worries on a time. Really ideal for early morning or night for the good views and less crowds. Highly recommend!

You have to do this once - crossing the Victoria harbor on a star ferry. It goes between Kowloon and Hong Kong island. For $4HK, which is around 50 cents US you get this priceless view on both sides of the harbor. Service is super efficient. You can pay for your ride by either a token or using Apple Pay or the octopus card. Must do if you are in Hong Kong.

This is a large park in the heart of Hong Kong, with a peaceful atmosphere where locals can take walks with their families or have picnics. There are many famous hotels in the Admiralty area, so there are probably a lot of tourists, but if you pass through this park, you will find the Peak Tram station right in front of you.

Great park in the center of a busy financial city. There are skyscrapers surrounding the park. There is a wedding registry office here. In the park, you can take a break and watch birds, fishes, flowers, turtles, you name it. I like the aviary most, you can watch birds in close distance inside the cage. It is easy to visit here by bus or MTR, very convenient.

Hong Kong Park was exactly what I needed—a quiet, green escape right in the middle of the city. With all the noise and movement around Central, I honestly didn’t expect to find a space this peaceful. The second I walked in, it felt like the energy shifted. There were trees, waterfalls, koi ponds, and little walking paths that made me slow down and just breathe. One of the best parts was the aviary. I wasn’t expecting to spend much time there, but once inside, it felt like I was in a rainforest. Birds were flying freely all around, and you could hear the sounds of nature echoing above the city noise. It really made me stop and take in how much life exists even in a place like Hong Kong. The park is surprisingly big—you can explore gardens, a conservatory filled with tropical plants, a tea museum in an old colonial building, and little sitting areas tucked away in quiet corners. I took my time, walked slow, and just enjoyed being surrounded by greenery for a bit. It’s the kind of place that reminds you to pause. What I loved: – The contrast of nature against the skyline—surreal but beautiful – The aviary and how immersive it felt – It was free, easy to get to, and didn’t feel overly touristy – A perfect reset if you’re looking for peace while in the city If you’re in Hong Kong and need a break from the rush, this park is 100% worth the visit. Exceeded expectations with lots of things to see and do. Lots of rides although a few were not running. There are big rides for thrill seekers if you want to go and there are barely any queues. Lots of animals to see ranging from pandas to penguins and everything in between. There's the panda zone which was pretty busy and has 4 pandas and some red pandas. Rainforest zone with birds, sloths, reptiles , frogs and spiders. Then there's the Arctic zone which has walruses, seals, penguins and Arctic foxes. Also a shark zone and a big aquarium. Bottom line is that this is a zoo, aquarium, theme park rolled in one and it's good value for money. The cable car was a highlight, although those with fear of heights should avoid this as it goes quite high. Only thing missing is that it's not very busy so it's not got a vibrant vibe to it, but it means you can do alot of rides and see alot without waiting in line often. Overall a fun experience with lots to do and worth going to if you are visiting Hong Kong. Not too far from any central area as well so it was only a 30 minute train ride for us.

What a wonderful place. The cable car ride is worth every dollar. Scary but adventurous. Some of the rides in the park are better than the Disney World and truly mind blowing. Overall, great place, day well spent and will definitely visit again.

Came for the rides, stayed for the animals! Weather was very hot though, and was difficult to walk in the direct sun. Wish there were more seating areas and some fans blowing misty water throughout the park to cool people down. Had the best milk tea and egg tart here, although they were overpriced. It’s possible to go through the whole park in one day!

This place absolutely rocks!! We spent our final day in HK at Ocean Park and this place is awesome. Make sure you arrive when gates open, for the best chance to get to things. There is something for everyone, and the chairlift is a bonus! So cool and such a great view (check out pics) Grounds are kept really tidy, and staff are reasonable.

The park itself is quiet old but the pandas and the aquarium are great. You can use the cable car for free or take the train. Many restaurants were closed. The cages could be bigger, they have so much space.

Been here many times but this time was so dissappointed as it looked so run down, also alot of the attractions were closed for some reason. Looks like a bit of cunstuction going on but didnt feel exciting. Almost had a feeling of an abandoned theme park. Was uosetting to see as we always enoyed it here and kept coming back but unfortunatley for what it offer now and comparing price with disneyland i dont think we will return.

Victoria Peak is truly one of the must-visit attractions in Hong Kong. The view from the top is incredible, offering a full panoramic look over the city, the harbour, and the skyline. Beautiful place to see the city from up, good restaurants and souvenirs shops over there; customer service is amazing. We used the tram, we went up a little after sunset on Oct 6th, the peak was busy and line to go up was crazy long, yet we loved the entire experience.

Given the limited attractions around Hong Kong, this is a must see. After all, it doesn't cost much to come here, perhaps only the queue for bus and trams maybe a little long. We had a good time and enjoyed the view overlooking Hong Kong.

The peak is a great hill top for hiking. which offers a spectacular panoramic view of everything from Sheung Wan to Tsim Sha Tsui, as well as Victoria Harbour. Keep following the road until you reach Harlech Road, after which you will see the Lions Pavilion tucked away beside the Peak Tower, which is hugely popular with tourists for the views it offers for free.

Take bus 15 from Admiralty Station exit B. The bus will bring you to the Peak Galleria. Nice scenic route along the way and see the sunset views. Lots of eateries too.

Hong Kong Tramp is a must-visit! We waited an hour, but the tramp experience was unique and thrilling! The view from the top is simply breathtaking – stunning contrast of cityscape and greenery, with the harbour views stealing the show. Worth every minute of the wait!

This is a big theme park with famous miniature buildings / tourist attractions from all around the world. We went at night to see the lights but the rides and shows were all closed. I recommend going around 2pm so you have about 5 hours to experience the shows and the rides. There is a lot of walking, kind of like going to Disneyland. It's a fun place to go with kids and there's some small parks inside for the kids to play in.

The place is absolutely beautiful and worth the walk and effort. However, I recommend avoiding a visit in the morning as the weather is extremely hot and humid. The temperature improves after 3 PM. Make sure to bring a map if you plan to explore all the attractions—it will take at least 6 hours. You’ll need to drink plenty of water, and I highly recommend trying the iced watermelon juice. It’s a refreshing choice! 👍🏻

I visited Windows of the World in October 2024. It was quite crowded, but still a fun and interesting place. The weather was hot, so make sure to bring water and sun protection. The park has impressive miniature versions of famous landmarks from all over the world—Eiffel Tower, pyramids, Taj Mahal, and more. It’s a great place for taking photos and spending a few hours walking around. It’s conveniently located near the metro station, which made it very easy to get there—I took the metro directly. The underground area connected to the station is full of shops, food courts, and small restaurants, so it’s a good place to eat or cool off before or after your visit.

Window of the World is a very big theme park in Shenzhen. It features replicas of all the iconic and famous landmarks in the world. It is divided into 8 geographical zones. They are World Plaza, Asia Zone, Oceania Zone, Europe Zone, Africa Zone, America Zone, Sculpture Zone, and International Street. Among the landmarks reproduced here are the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Great Pyramid, Taj Mahal, Big Ben, Angkor Wat, Arc de Triomphe and Kek Lok Si. There is a elaborate cultural dance and acrobatic show at 8.00pm every night. It is very entertaining with attractive lights, music, costumes, props and backdrops. Do not miss this show when you visit this park. Entrance ticket to the park (inclusive of the evening show) is RMB220 per adult, no discount for foreign senior citizens.

Love from India 🇮🇳❤️🇨🇳. Walked a distance of 1.5km from Shenzhen bay park 🏞️. (Lost the route midway 🥲). It's actually a OKOK kind of. Entry fee is around 200rmb ig. I didn't go in. 200rmb is very high as a tourist.

Nice huge park. Many interesting smaller-size famous buildings from around the world. Plus a lot of things for kids. Best for visiting with kids (only for adults maybe less interesting). Can easily spend 3-5 hour here. Available places for eating too.

The ride takes around 25 minutes, we went on Sunday so the queue is quite long but it was moving fast (around 20 minutes wait). Great view of the landscape and the wind can go inside of the cable so it’s not too hot.

The Ngong Ping 360, is a cable car to Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The 25-minute scenic journey connects the town of Tung Chung with the Ngong Ping area, with great views of the surrounding mountains, Hong Kong International Airport, and the South China Sea. It's pricey buy worth doing once and getting the bus back down. It drops you off at a touristy but nice souvenir selling village at the top next to the Buddhist monastery. The wait without a pre paid ticket even on a week day can be 90 minutes plus so buy one. The staff were very organised and efficient so the operation runs quite smoothly. Toilets are clean. Recommend doing it at least once.

The crystal cabin (with glass floor) is highly recommended — it makes the experience even more exciting! 😍 The journey takes around 25 minutes, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the view and take amazing photos. At the top, the Ngong Ping Village is clean, organized, and full of local shops and cafés. 💡 Tip: Go early in the morning to avoid long queues, and check the weather for the clearest view. 🌤️

What an amazing experience!!! A 25 minute ride over water, lush green hills, past waterfalls, into the mountain to come out the other side seeing the Big Buddha and temple come into view. Then you are dropped off into a village to walk thru and explore this hidden gem in the mountains.

Definitely the most disappointing and unpleasant experience of our holiday in Hong Kong. The cable car itself is scenic and enjoyable, but your day will be completely ruined by standing in line for 2.5 hours to get on it. This was on a normal working day, not even a holiday or a weekend. The worst thing is the misleading practices of the company: they ask that you buy a ticket when you first join the line, and you think the line is just what you can see. No!- that is just the first line out of four…! But you are stuck with an expensive ticket that will be completely wasted if you do the sensible thing to turn around and go home. So after standing for 30 minutes outside the building, you go up the escalator. And there’s another massive line for another hour. Then you get to the front of that line, and there is another 30 minute line to get to the boarding area. (But for anyone who didn’t already buy a ticket, they go to the ticket counters and get skipped straight to the front of that line.) And then in the boarding area you wait another 30 minutes! In each line you can only see that line, so you think you can just about endure it. And then you turn the corner and see you have to join yet another one! So, if you’re thinking about taking the Ngong Ping 360 cable car, maybe just decide what you value about your day and your life… - If you have young children or are with elderly people that can’t stand in line for 2.5 hours,,,probably don’t bother. - If you value your day and want to see the sights of HK,,,definitely don’t waste your day coming here. - If you want to finish your holiday with your marriage still intact,,,don’t risk this. We saw hundreds of sad and grumpy faces— this will be you too… - But if you really love wasting the best hours of your day standing in a 2.5-hour long line in order to take an overpriced cable car, then this is definitely the place for you! Otherwise just take the bus!- and you’d be at the top before you’ve even got halfway through this line.

Best way to see Hong Kong I took the Crystal Cabin up and Standard back and the glass floor was worth it for views of the airport and sea Bought tickets online and saved a long line the ride took about 25 minutes and drops you right by the Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery I also walked the Wisdom Path staff were friendly and cabins were clean Recommend you go early on a clear day and prebook to skip lines also check wind and weather alerts as i read they can pause during high winds.

I absolutely loved the cable car ride. It was beyond amazing and the view is breathtaking. I would do it over and over again. For the best experience take the crystal cabin with glass floor. Round trip per person is 315 HKD. When you enter the cabin one of staff will take your picture and once you arrive on the other side you will see it printed. The price for the picture is almost the price for the ride which is expensive. And you see most of gjr people not buying them which ends up in waste. They should reconsider their prices for the pictures I guess. Other than that it's a beautiful experience and I'll do it again.

If there is ever one place in Hong Kong that you must visit then it's lantau Island with the Beautiful Buddha. take the cable car up , climb all those stairs and appreciate the beautiful culture of the Chinese whilst looking at the beautiful hills and nature . now take a walk to the gorgeous temple and take a moment to reflect . after this stunning tour take a bus down to the coast and catch a super fast ship - Ferry to Kowloon . Your life will definitely be different after this tour - BTW - it's really cheap to do it yourself - ask the hotel Concierge

There are limited accommodation options on Lantau with a few properties available at Mui Wo, Tai O and Tung Chung being the most accessible. Peaceful and beautiful place to visit in Hong Kong. The monastery is very calming, with stunning traditional architecture and the smell of incense all around. Perfect spot to take a break after seeing the Big Buddha. Worth a visit if you want a mix of culture and relaxation.

I've travelled all across Asia for decades and Po Lin monastery is one of the nicest, cleanest and most peaceful monasteries or temples I've ever seen. It's on Lantau Island, Po Lin means Precious Lotus and is one of Hong Kong's most important Buddhist sites. The monastery is most famous for its association with the Tian Tan Buddha which sits on a hill opposite the monastery. The monastery grounds are home to ornate halls, gardens, and a popular vegetarian restaurant. I highly recommend everyone visits but please respect local culture and dress appropriately covering knees and shoulders at least.

The structure is really beautiful and it gives you a very ancient feeling. But inside, it’s unbelievable because the architecture and the craftsmanship from the roof to the bottom is on another level. All the statues and everything are so shiny and beautiful. You can’t believe your eyes when you look at them. Also, the landscape is crazy because it’s situated between the greenery and the mountains, which adds a lot of wow effect.

This is a stunning place to visit whilst visiting Hong Kong. Definitely take the cable car for breath taking views along the way; I say this despite hating heights but the ride was so smooth. Don't be put off by the many steps. Take it easy, especially in the heat. It is truly worth it.

I had the pleasure of visiting po lin monastery as part of an itinerary scheduled by get your guide. Altough we didnt spend that much time in the monastery i must say the details from the colours and the shapes, whilst sourrounded by nature make it very impressive! The location is also great if you are planning to visit neaby sights such the big bidha, ngong ping village and the Tai O village. Incredible experience! Lastly its worth visiting Lantau island as part of your guided group since transportation options as well as frequency to island can be a bit tricky.

Fantastic monastery to visit. Very intricate work on the walls. Don't skip the Ten Thousand Buddhas shrine inside the Po Lin Monastery. It opens at 9:45am. Would recommend to skip the Veg Restaurant in here which is quite bland.

Really enjoy the experience! We went there with ferry+bus combo and went back to the city with cable car+train train. It was amazing to combine both options to with the area and the temple!

Must visit place in hong kong, stunning view and really a magical experience. The cable car was non operational due to the typhoon alert so visit by bus but was a really good experience. Only thing is that the shops nearby are not accepting the card payment so be sure you cary cash otherwise you may need to hold your hunger like me. The place is kept so well and spiritual.

Another impressive sight in Lantau island, making it an interesting destination to explore. Stairs are very duable even for people who are not fit. So i would say in maximum 10 minutes you should be on the top. The statue is simple but also imposing due to its size. Finally you can enjoy the beautiful ladscape from the top, such as the sourrounding natural habitat, the sea and few little islands.

its such a nice half day trip. we took the cable car, walked around the village and climbed the stairs to the buddah. the views were great. you should also visit the monastery next to it and wander around the different paths. you can also take the bus to tai o fishing village and take a look at one of the last real fishing villages of hong kong

I took a long hike up and the cable car down. Quite touristy but stunning and breathtaking. I recommend the hike up for a peaceful and spiritual time. Lots of little places at the top for snacks and gifts and refreshments. So stunning! But be prepared for crowds.

Watching the sunset reflect over the pool in front of the museum was really spectacular.

Recognisably a Portuguese fortress, here is the historical military facility of the Portuguese in Macau and the current Museum building was the former barracks. A peek over the ramparts offers some great views of the city.

This iconic hotel was built in 1970. Today it is visible from the Macau Tower and stands tall amongst the other newer casinos. It is in need of updating and smells old inside. The staff are dressed in uniforms that look like bellhops. Worth a visit.

My mobile data got used up since this was the only place that is near, I tried to connect to their wifi and it was fast. Went inside the casino which was full of people playing. In their lobby there were art displayed. I really like the architectural design of the place.

Just within Senado square near market area. You’ll pass by this yellow church like structure, you wont miss it. If you’re into architecture then it’s a good photo op moment. Senado square right down to St. Paul ruins is very touristy so patience is a must.

Very old church of the Dominican order in Macao. Made in 1500s, this is well maintained and clean. A major tourist spot with an active mass and functioning going on in the church. It is right at the central area of the Senado Square. Place is really crowded with tourists and people strolling around everywhere. Do visit!

In front of the church, there’s a local shop along the street. I walked around here, and most of the items were cheaper than in other areas. I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for gifts, souvenirs, or food

Being Catholic, finding St. Dominic's Church within the famous Senado square of Macau is a pleasant experience. At least, there's a quiet refuge in the middle of the busy square. Went in to say our prayer and to appreciate the old architecture.

On your way through the historical interior of Macau, you will come across the yellow façade of this very old church. When I visited in November 2024, the church was closed for renovation, and you could only visit the three floors, which had religious relics and items. It was just fine.

Baroque-style church is a late 16th-century of Roman Catholic architecture. They have some beautiful architecture and statues but lighting are quite dark in there.

The world's largest casino. 5 times bigger than the Las Vegas Venetian 🤯. Surely worth a visit to see the opulence and take a gamble if you are in Macao. No free alcoholic drinks for gamblers like in Vegas though. Managed to win and quit while ahead. You could easily spend a long time walking through the massive interconnected casinos!

My family and I spent an hour here just to try our luck at the slot machine and experience the casino. The place was humongous. The architecture and details were patterened after venice giving a european feel of the place. Despite the ultra luxurious design of the place, I was not comfortable to be in a place where people literally squander their money away. Honestly, the experience was so-so. Good for taking a few pics and seeing what the casino scene was all about. I saw a couple of friends fighting over what I can assume to be a money issue. Security was fast to act and escorted them away. Overall, if you are a casino goer, you will love it here. Otherwise, id just wander outside the casino to enjoy their replica of the venice canals.

The most captivating part of The Venetian Macao for me was the shopping arcade, beautifully designed with a strong Venetian atmosphere. Walking through the mall felt almost like stepping onto the streets of Europe. The sky-themed ceiling is incredibly realistic, with lighting that mimics natural daylight and shifting shadows, making you slow down and take it all in. The artificial canal and gondola rides are iconic features, and the detailed building facades along the walkways make it a fantastic place for photos. There’s a wide range of shops—from luxury boutiques to everyday brands—and the layout is easy to navigate, making it a pleasant place to wander around. Even if you’re just here for shopping, the immersive, European-style ambiance makes it a great spot for strolling, taking pictures, and simply spending a relaxing afternoon. Although I haven’t stayed at the hotel yet, the shopping area alone is genuinely worth experiencing.
