Hyundai Premium Outlets Songdo

Mentioned on
6 lists
Outlet mall
Shopping
Factory Outlets
The Hyundai Premium Outlet in Songdo is a high-end shopping destination featuring a vast array of upscale stores that offer clothing, accessories and other luxury items at discounted prices. The outdoor mall is well-designed and spacious, with plenty of options for dining and entertainment. Additionally, there are several restaurants nearby for those looking to enjoy a meal before or after their shopping experience.
Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet is a downtown outlet, not a traditional suburban outlet. As of 2025, it remains, along with Triple Street, the only large-scale commercial facility in Songdo International City. This draws numerous customers every weekend, and its established presence in the local market has earned it the nickname "Song Hyeon-ah." Considering Songdo's sparse population, which makes it difficult to open a department store, the outlet was designed as a complex shopping mall. Songdo Hyundai Premium Outlet is a new premium outlet that combines outdoor and indoor mall styles, boasting a distinctive design. Annual sales consistently rank 4th to 6th in Korea, and competitors like Lotte Mall Songdo and Shinsegae Department Store Songdo are slated to open nearby. Currently, Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo is a space that breaks the stereotype of traditional outlets, becoming a family-friendly retreat rather than a mere shopping destination. It is widely loved by residents. Also within the outlet mall is a must-visit shopping destination: the flea market, where each store showcases a variety of items, including handicrafts, perfumes, and jewelry, at bargain prices on their white stalls. The term "flea market" originates from the French open-air markets selling secondhand goods. It's so named because the items sold are so old that they're teeming with fleas, but it actually has nothing to do with fleas. Furniture, jewelry, clothing, antiques, paintings, old books, and decorative items are sold for prices ranging from a few euros to tens of thousands of euros. The term "flea market" refers to a marketplace for secondhand goods.

A large semi open shopping centre featuring many local and international premium brand outlets and eateries. Prices are cheaper than Lotte Department stores or downtown Seoul, but no real bargains to be found. A well maintained and laid out complex. A great place for the shopaholics.
Raph — Google review
Rather quiet Premium Outlets. Limited choices. Prices don’t seem that cheap. Most interesting basement where there are food options (our favourite donut shop Knitted is there). Tried the pot rice in the basement. It’s ok but no where near what you get at Solsot.
Jeffrey C — Google review
A large semi indoor outlet mall connected with another shopping mall. Great place to shop and dine.
Sam — Google review
This area is a nice area with lots of coffee and restaurants. The outlets is quite big and it’s nice to walk around. There’s area with local stalls too.
Chang L — Google review
Huge outlet with so many retails and unique design. It houses all common names like Uniqlo, Calvin Klein, llyod for gifts and dmany more korean brands and international ones. Restaurants and cafes alike. Quite a Good section for kids that I think is very common in Korean malls.....they really have big section. The rush and energy of the people are remarkable, at 11 in the morning the mall was almost full. Could not take photos as I only had half day to visit places in Korea due to work.
Neemi T — Google review
Spacious outlet but the brands are not really common. There are 3 sections ,called Avenue 1 ,2 and 3. There is also a shopping arcade underground which in my view, shops are nicer to shop that the above groud outlet. There is a big food court underground too.
Tony C — Google review
Beautiful outlet building with open air shops above, and connecting streets to other large stores and restaurants (Triple Street Buildings). Prices in the outlets are just a little lower than main street, but the layout of the buildings are a delight to spend the day away. It is a good alternative to the city centre.

War memorial
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled atop a hill in Incheon, the Memorial Hall for Incheon Landing Operation stands as a poignant reminder of the bravery displayed during one of the Korean War's most significant battles. Opened in 1984 to mark the centenary of Incheon Port's opening to international trade, this hall is dedicated to honoring the soldiers who fought valiantly under General MacArthur’s command in 1950.
A must visit museum in Incheon, to understand modern Korea History, as well as American Troops Operation on early days in South Korea🇰🇷 That will be a plus if you stay until sunset🌇to enjoy a stunning city-ocean view

Came to this place by an incident but I really enjoyed my time here. Something to remind us about the past and thank you our ancestor for a freedom life. It’s best to come here for sunset watching too. They have parking lot but it’s quite small.
Trân — Google review
The Incheon Landing is an important piece of history that's being remembered on quite a few spots throughout Incheon and this simple yet powerful memorial site has an exhibition hall and a small movie theatre projecting 15 minutes long movie. The whole thing can be experienced in about 30-40 minutes, and from here, you can go to the Incheon Metropolitan Museum, which is just behind the corner, to learn about the rest of Incheon's history. Both spots are free to visit.
Elena K — Google review
Such an informative place. Great diorama of the Incheon Landing and some excellent displays. The brutalist architecture just undressing and some excellent views from the memorial.
Dr P — Google review
Nice memorial site regarding the amazing Operation Chromite. Perfect fall weather to walk to the overlook (part of the Incheon Bridge Tourist project). Decent little museum to walk through...can do the whole thing, completely, in well under two hours.

Incheon Grand Park is a vast urban park nestled in the heart of Incheon, South Korea, providing a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Spanning 727 acres, it features a zoo, botanical garden, open green spaces, and various recreational activities. The children's zoo houses over 200 animals including Japanese macaques and ostriches.
Incheon Grand Park (인천대공원) is the largest urban park in Incheon, South Korea, and a popular destination for nature lovers, families, and fitness enthusiasts. Located in Namdong-gu, this expansive park is beautifully nestled between two mountains—Gwanmosan and Sangasan—offering a scenic and peaceful escape from the city. The park features a wide range of attractions, including a botanical garden, a large zoo, cycling paths, hiking trails, and seasonal flower gardens. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom throughout the park, creating a stunning atmosphere for picnics and walks. In autumn, the foliage adds vibrant colors to the landscape, making it a great spot for photography and leisurely strolls. Incheon Grand Park also includes well-maintained playgrounds, picnic areas, sports facilities, and even a small lake where visitors can rent pedal boats. The park is family-friendly and often hosts educational and cultural events throughout the year. It’s easily accessible by public transportation, with nearby subway stations and bus routes. Jahid K — Google review
Incheon Grand Park is the largest urban park in Incheon, South Korea. This is another great park with something for everyone. Walking paths, mountain hiking trails, beautiful gardens including the biggest rock garden I have experienced. Clean bathrooms throughout the park. Lots of food options, playgrounds, outdoor concert venues, lots of great picnic areas, day tent locations. There is so much to see and do here, you could easily spend a couple of days if you’re an outdoors person. Monday is not the best day to visit because a lot of stuff is closed. We spent about six hours and feel we need another full day for mountain hiking. South Gate is on the train line. If you have only an hour or so - nice walking path around the lake.
Michael — Google review
If you plan to come here by public transportation, I recommend that you come by subway and enter by South Gate, grab a map then walk around the park, then leave at Main Gate by bus because South Gate is near subway station and Main Gate is near bus station. This park is huge, so be well prepared that you have to walk a lot. We were here just walking around (not do trekking) and it took us 8.2km (around 2.5 hours) but we still miss some places. They also provide bicycles for rent.
Trân — Google review
Very nice park, but a hassle to get to from Seoul.
Vivian L — Google review
Wow, the park is huge. It has a small lake with visible wildlife. Has a small greenhouse for tropical and desert plants. It wpuld have been grander at the peak of its autumn colors. Nonetheless a pleasant visit.
Miller Q — Google review
Really big, clean, and beautiful park. Easily accessible through the Incheon Grand Park train station. You'll be entering through the South Entrance. Depending on the season, many flowers can be seen blooming as well as cherry blossoms. It's a huge place and to properly explore everywhere, might take at least half a day to a full day. The entrance to Incheon Zoo is also by the south entrance. There are a few shops selling snacks and drinks. There are bike rentals. There are camping areas. There's a mountain hiking area too. Overall, very comfortable, beautiful, family-friendly, and easily accessible. But you'd be hard pressed to find a rubbish bin around though.

Lotte World

Mentioned on

Theme park
Water & Amusement Parks
Amusement park
Lotte World is a 3-in-1 adventure park in Seoul, easily accessible by subway. It's often compared to Disneyland and features a magic castle and two mascots, Lotty and Lorry. The park offers thrilling rides suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families. Visitors can enjoy familiar characters, movie-themed attractions like a swinging viking ship and magic balloon ride, as well as river rapids and carousels at the indoor park.
There is a indoor and outdoor park. Indoor rides and plays are more suitable for children. Outdoor has more adventure rides. Went during weekend, and non school holiday, thus parks are not crowded. Communication is in Korean so may be challenging trying to understand the staff instructions. Parade started at 2 pm, so happy so see so many energetic crew members dancing and bring joy to all.
TEOW N — Google review
This is an awesome theme park for a fun day out. It's a bit like a mix of Disneyland and an indoor park, so it’s great no matter the weather. The rides are thrilling, and the parades are really well-done. The Magic Island part outside is super cool with the castle. It's a perfect place for families or anyone who just wants to have a blast.
Dan — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall, we had a great experience at Lotte World Theme Park. My son is still a little young and couldn’t meet the height requirements for some of the bigger rides, but I was impressed that the park has plenty of similar attractions designed for younger children. It really caters to all ages, so no one feels left out. The park itself is huge—between the indoor Adventure section and the outdoor Magic Island, there’s more than enough to keep a family entertained. Realistically, a visit here will take up your entire day, so plan accordingly. Even though we couldn’t try everything this time, we still enjoyed the variety of rides, the family-friendly atmosphere, and the overall energy of the park. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Seoul with kids!
Heng K — Google review
We came here for a full day of fun. The place was crowded for a weekday. Lots of children running around. We enjoyed the parade even though it was a bit short. Make sure you download the app to see how long the wait times are. We also did the pixie magic dress up which was pricey but cute. Lots of people also dressing up
Stephanie — Google review
For K-drama fan, it was a must for us to experience it. We even decided to rent school uniform to elevate our experience. Booked our tickets through Klook. We got lucky as it wasn’t so crowded. Enjoyed going through the park for three (3) hours. Have been to 5 Disney/Disney world, this was as not big but the atmosphere was great. Highly recommended to visit when you’re in Seoul.
Christopher U — Google review
Highly disappointed, it was sadly a big waste of time. Most of the cool rides are closed without any explanation (yes stuff can happen and for safety reasons obviously it should be closed, but I don't believe that at least 5 things don't work at the same time). They clearly sell way more tickets than the capacity allows it. Very greedy. The waiting times go up to 1-2 hours, and honestly if the ride is super cool, maybe I would even wait 1 hour, but I can't, because surprise, they closed "at the moment". I came with low expectations because not every theme park has a high budget and advanced technology, which is understandable, but honestly this is a big nothing. Not to mention, that beside regular ticket, so many attractions require additional fee. Wherever you look, they ask for a fee.
Melaniaa — Google review
Nice amusement park. There are many things to see. However, even though we came during a weekday, it was really crowded. There is a long wait for the popular rides.
Evelyne N — Google review
Lotte World: A Magical Adventure in the Heart of Seoul Lotte World is more than just a theme park; it's a dual-world adventure that you have to experience to believe. With a massive indoor park, Lotte World Adventure, and a thrilling outdoor island, Magic Island, it's the perfect destination for all ages, regardless of the weather. The indoor park is truly a sight to behold. It's one of the world's largest, and you'll find a mix of family-friendly rides, a beautiful ice rink, and stunning parades that make you feel like you've stepped into a fantasy land. The detail in the architecture and the vibrant atmosphere are just amazing. For the thrill-seekers, Magic Island, located on a lake, is where you'll find the most adrenaline-pumping rides. The iconic fairytale castle provides a beautiful backdrop to attractions like the Gyro Drop and Gyro Swing. The view from the top of the rides, overlooking the lake and the city, is simply unforgettable. Whether you're looking to ride thrilling coasters, enjoy a magical parade, or just explore a unique and beautifully designed park, Lotte World has it all. It's an essential stop on any trip to Seoul.

Military Museums
The War Memorial of Korea, located in the Yongsan-dong area of Seoul, is a museum dedicated to preserving and commemorating Korea's military history. Established in 1994 at the former army headquarters, it serves as a monument to the sacrifices made by soldiers during the Korean War and aims to prevent future conflicts by learning from this dark chapter in history.
The museum starts with the powerful statue of the two brothers, it really sets an emotional tone right away. Outside, there are planes and military equipment that show the scale of the conflict Inside, the exhibits are detailed and respectful, telling the stories of the soldiers and civilians affected by the war. It gives a much deeper appreciation of Korea’s history and bravery of those who fought
Eunji K — Google review
Quite brilliant. One of the best seen. Memorial and full of items from your Heavy weapons (planes, tanks, missiles, howitzers & choppers) to smaller yet equally important items of documentation & significance that range the entire Korean documented history. English summary provides sufficient info to follow the narrative. Interactive, AV & short clips a plenty. Really detailed if you take the audio. In addition to the full struggle for various forms of independence through the centuries, a huge part documents the participant nations that have assisted Korea with its Republic achievements. This includes a BIG thank you & respect to all those nations thru the Korean War who are never forgotten. There are many aspects of War, Military & independence covered here. The Memorial Hall & granite plaques of fallen hero’s, most poignant. 4 hours personally. Free entry.
Leigh D — Google review
Very good museum with lots of information and artefacts from the Korean war. Very detailed displays which helped me understand the war better. Lots of exhibits and interactive things to entertain all ages. Very modern, clean and informative. Highly recommend visiting if you want to learn about the war

Incredibly well done memorial that might as well be called the Korean War Museum as it covers the entirety of conflicts on the Korean peninsula from prehistory to modern day. Huge facility with lots to explore from memorials to explanations of the history to tanks and airplanes on display! I foolishly only planned an hour here and actually had to come back a second time for a couple more hours and still didn't see it all! Free entrance as well, so really a must do for anyone interested in the military history of Korea. Also has free lockers for baggage of all sizes which was a bonus.

Worth a visit if you are in Seoul, especially if you’re American. There is the memorial and a museum which describes the Korean War and other past wars in Korea. I learnt a lot. They have a large display of old military tanks, aircraft and boats and this was well worth seeing. No entrance fee.

A Sunset Experience Worth the Wait! Visiting N Seoul Tower was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Seoul, though getting there tested my patience. The cable car line was brutal—I waited about 30 minutes just to buy tickets, and then stood in line for another hour to actually board the cable car. It wasn’t the most pleasant part of the experience, especially if you're short on time or visiting during peak hours. That said, it was absolutely worth it. We made it to the top just in time for sunset, and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Watching the city light up beneath a fading sky from that height was a moment I won’t forget. Once you're up there, there's so much to do that you can easily spend hours exploring. The tower complex is full of restaurants and cafes with stunning views, art displays, photo booths, and tons of souvenir shops. One of the most charming parts is the Love Locks area—a colorful and romantic spot that adds a unique character to the visit. If you're planning to go, just be ready for the wait (especially if you take the cable car), or consider other ways up like the shuttle or a hike if you’re feeling adventurous. But once you’re at the top, it’s an experience that’s totally worth it—a perfect mix of panoramic views, culture, food, and fun.

A must on any trip to Seoul. Spectacular views. Be prepared for crowds on the weekends. On previous trips I’ve walked up - cable car is fun but huge queue & a long wait if you do that. This time I cycled up - steep … thank goodness for e-bikes! Don’t miss the small plaque & marker on the top … often overlooked but it’s the geographic center of the city, very cool.

Must visit! It’s so scenic, especially with autumn colors. One gets beautiful Birds Eye view of the city and there are lot of cultural activities. Keeps one busy and entertained. Plenty of buses to take one around. It was lot walking, including some steep but worth every step.

Namsan Tower is another attraction I visited during my business trip. You have two options to get to the top of the mountain: by bus or on foot. I recommend taking the bus up and walking down — it’s easier and more enjoyable that way. Once you reach the top, the view is absolutely breathtaking! You can see the entire city from above, and the scenery is stunning. Don’t forget to check out the love locks area — it’s beautiful and very romantic.

Great views of the city. Recommended to Come here at night. The lights shining on the tower gives it a mystical feel and look. The deck offers great views of the night skyline! The is a mall under the tower A but there is nothing to shout about. No crowds and no vibes. A place that is to be visited only once.
Ron Y — Google review
Purchased gondola ride to the tower. To buypass the ticket line purchase ahead from an online retailer. The gondola queue was long but worth the wait. Just missed the sunset but still got some beautiful scenery around the tower. The view is stunning from the top.

N Seoul Tower is a great place to visit when in Seoul great 360 views over the city and if you like a bit of romance you can lock your love up here. Don’t worry if you don’t have a lock with you can buy them up the tower. They have lots of shops for coffee food drinks while you enjoying the view. You can get the cable car 🚠 that cost 15000 Kyen for both ways and it runs very 10 mins , or you can hike all the way up.
Filippos M — Google review
We took a cable car up to the top and the view is great. I think for 2 people it cost 34K won. There are restaurants at the tower and snack shops. There are all sorts of touristy knick knacks you can buy at the gift shop. The only downside to the view is the smog which was pretty thick when we went. I'm assuming that might be the notm, however it was still a nice view of the sunset.

Embark on a skincare shopping spree at the bustling Myeondong Shopping Street, a popular tourist destination in Seoul. This vibrant area spans just 1 square kilometer but is packed with international and local cosmetic brands, as well as clothing boutiques. The narrow streets are lined with shops, hotels, and cafes. At night, the street comes alive with vendors selling local street food. It's a crowded yet convenient place to explore, especially for teenagers seeking bargains and trendy finds.
SO MANY STORE OPTIONS. IF YOURE VISITING SEOUL YOU MUST GO HERE AND ALSO VISIT THE STREET FOOD AREA. I WOULD SUGGEST CARRYING WON ON YOU FOR THE FOOD, IT RANGES FROM 3000 TO 15000 WON FOR MOST EVERYTHING FOOD WISE.

you can find many2 food and shops here. also have skin care shops. color analysis (walk in)

Its a paradise for people looking to buy any type of skincare products, cosmetics etc. There are nice food stalls all along myeongdong street. The underground market is also worth exploring. There's also a church on one end of the shopping street.

Another Tourist trap with a huge crowd that blocks one to move from shops to shops. I believe there is nothing cheap here because it is definately a touristic area. There is always a huge crowd will welcome you here. Non of the shops are cheap. You can find same products for cheaper at anywhere. Same shops have more that 3 filiales so you feel like you passed from the same street again. But that is not he case. Good thing is that is is safe even there is so many people. You can find variety of restaurants and street food, massage shops, cosmetics shops, Michelin certified restaurants etc. But i do not recommend you to shop here, just go to see as an experience. It is vibrant Athmosphere especially in nice weather.

Go at night so you get the lights and enjoy the atmosphere. Lots of street foods from vendors, once you've seen one street full you'll notice they repeat. Same with shops. But nice to snack and walk and soak it all up. Get out at myendong exit 9 or 10.

Beautiful stream to get away from overcrowding in the heart of Seoul. Bring your lunch and sit by the stream and do little picnic. Do some people watch, there are some birds like herons, egress and ducks there, too. In my opinion this maybe the best investment that Seoul has.made for the locals and tourists. Very very highly recommended visit 👌

This very unique plaza runs east and west in the center of several districts in Seoul. Entry into the area is a ramp down or stairs along the length of the attractive. Several over-hangs can provide shade and several visitors had their feet in the water. Would recommend this area for light meal, quiet social visit, or some peaceful meditation.

Changdeokgung Palace, a stunning remnant of the Joseon dynasty, invites visitors to explore its rich history and beautiful gardens. As the second oldest of Seoul's five grand palaces, it served as the main royal residence from 1592 until 1868. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its well-preserved structures dating back to the 1600s-1800s, offering a glimpse into Korea's architectural heritage before modern reconstructions took over.
Beautiful and most historically original of the palaces in Seoul even if it wasnt the main palace. The secret garden is absolutely worth it. I booked the tickets for the secret garden online and it turned out to be a great decision since all tickets were sold out by the time we arrived in the afternoon.

Very chill hike and great view to see old traditional architecture of Korea. The garden is also pretty to see. Very beautiful and peaceful.
Chyau-Shyang J — Google review
The palace is truly amazing, situated in a calm section of the city and with some beautiful architectural highlights. During Golden Week, entry was granted free of charge, even for those not wearing the traditional attire. Unfortunately, the secret garden still required a ticket and was completely sold out for the day. I likely would have enjoyed the location more were it not for the throngs of people.

This palace wasn’t as busy as Gyeongbokgung palace at least when we went. It is a beautiful palace ground with lots of places to take pictures. There is another section which requires another ticket that was really nice. The path along the lake was nice and peaceful. Definitely recommend a visit here if you have the time
EMT G — Google review
Changdeokgung (Korean: 창덕궁; Hanja: 昌德宮) is a former royal palace in Seoul, South Korea. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Historic Site of South Korea, it is among the best preserved of all Korean palaces. It and its neighboring palace Changgyeonggung have together been called the "East Palace". Changdeokgung was established in 1405. It was the second palace to be established in Seoul, after Joseon's official main palace Gyeongbokgung. Despite Gyeongbokgung's legally superior status, a majority of kings preferred to reside in Changdeokgung instead. In 1592, amidst the Imjin War, Changdeokgung and all the other palaces in the city were completely destroyed. After the war, due to budgetary constraints, Gyeongbokgung was not repaired, while Changdeokgung and Changgyeonggung were. This effectively made Changdeokgung Joseon's main palace for several centuries. In the late 19th century, under the reign of the penultimate Korean monarch Gojong, Gyeongbokgung was rebuilt and the royal family moved out of Changdeokgung and into Gyeongbokgung, although they would again move to another palace Deoksugung in 1897. In 1907, Gojong was forced by Japan to abdicate, and his son and final Korean monarch Sunjong ascended the throne and made Changdeokgung his official palace. In 1910, Japan colonized Korea, and proceeded to heavily alter the palace. The Korean royal family continued to reside in the palace even after the 1945 liberation of Korea and into the late 20th century. Changdeokgung is now a major tourist attraction. In 1997, it was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The palace's Secret Garden [ko], long beloved by Korean monarchs, are now mostly available to the public, with some sections requiring tours to be booked.
Buster I — Google review
It's just a shame that these buildings were all destroyed with the Japanese invasion and it's so important and great that Korea is still working on restoring everything as best as possible. The palace is build a little closer together than at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The only thing I could critique is that the government should be paying a little more attention when including fire extinguishers or fuseboxes and maybe try to blend them in a little more. They often break the immersion and the view of the otherwise beautiful palace.
F. F — Google review
JUST WOW. We visited this UNESCO World Heritage site last November 18, 2025 - and we didn’t regret a thing. Everything is preserved, from the architectural designs of their villages and the nature hidden in the secret garden. How can I not fall in love with this masterpiece? God loves us all, but how come it’s different in South Korea? Kidding aside, it’s a gift from the mighty creator. We will surely come back! 🥹😇🌸🍁

Gyeongbokgung Palace, a stunning royal palace from the 14th century, is a must-visit when exploring Seoul. Nestled near Bukchon Hanok Village and Changdeokgung Palace, it offers an enchanting glimpse into Korea's rich history and traditional architecture. You can embark on a delightful walking tour that starts at Gyeongbokgung, meandering through the charming alleys of Bukchon Hanok Village filled with picturesque old homes before reaching Changdeokgung.
A big palace to visit. Inside, you will likely spend an hour to two to really complete everything. Plenty of nice scenic spots and Korean architecture for that photo moment, especially further away from the main gate, where it is less crowded.
Michael — Google review
Good but overly touristy for me. I managed to get the photos I wanted and scooted out of the crossed place. Can’t say much. Beautiful buildings externally but not much in terms of design. Unlike other Asian countries whose palaces display thier grandeur through intrinsic design.
Shena D — Google review
My whole experience of visiting Geongbokgung Palace was the beauty of fall leaves and then women from all around the world flaunting their beautiful hanboks clicking pictures all around the palace premises. Disappointed that I did not get a chance to watch the change of guards as our guide did not add it to the itinerary. The palace is beautiful and every nook and corner has its own beauty.

Must see in Seoul Entrance fee 3000 - worth of it Suggestion - take a free tour (e.g English at 10:30 am, 13:30h or 15:30h) if you are into learning of Korean culture - incredibly great decision of mine Crowded, yes. Pleasant experience, definitely

We had free entry because of some national festival. Great and imposing architecture / you will have to be there in person to savour the size and grandeur of the palace. It is HUGE. The grounds are large. There is even a museum shop for drinks, and some gifts. You should visit that. Lots of opportunities to take selfies and wefies. You will see many tourists wearing the traditional costumes. A must-go for all visitors to Seoul. Highly recommended! Thumbs up!
Ron Y — Google review
We did it all: dressed in traditional garb, traipsed through the palace grounds, watched a 15th century changing of the guard reenactment, scheduled a tour, did a photo shoot... . If you do wear hanboks, the entry fee is waived. Ultimately, an enchanting experience. There are loads of hanbok stores to choose from so check out as many as you can before committing (as designs and quality vary).

A must see location if you are visiting Seoul. Lines moved very quickly, we used the National Folk Museum entrance and there was hardly any lines there. Once inside you can just go left from the entrance and walk around to the Palace.

Nestled in the heart of Seoul, Bukchon Hanok Village is a captivating destination that transports visitors back to the 14th century. This charming village features narrow streets adorned with beautifully restored traditional Korean homes, offering a unique glimpse into the country's rich architectural heritage. As you wander through its labyrinthine alleys, you'll discover not only stunning views but also an array of cultural experiences nearby.
Visually stunning. Wandering the steep, narrow alleys lined with traditional Korean "hanok" houses is genuinely beautiful, especially near sunrise or sunset. Offers iconic postcard views of old Seoul against the modern city backdrop. BUT...be prepared for crowds. Seriously packed, especially weekends. Can feel like shuffling through a theme park queue at points. Constant photo shoots everywhere. It's a real, lived-in neighborhood to respect the residents (keep noise down, don't peek into homes). Worth it? Yes, for the unique atmosphere and photos. Go super early if possible, wear comfy shoes for the hills, and manage expectations about the bustle. More a scenic walk than a tranquil escape. Short visit (1-2 hours max) recommended.

This is one of the most memorable place I’ve been in Seoul. The Village is really nice and Clean. The designs are superb. I love how the government protect and preserve the historic structures in there country. I was there during summer time. Although it’s hot and humid but it was so worth it to see those beautiful things.

Super cool spot to come to(especially if you want to see a scene from kpop demon hunters lol, my wife is a fan). Only thing is it is a bit busier than I was expecting and there is really only one cool main road. There are a few cool side streets but since there is just one main then all the people gather in there. Still very worth visiting though and crowds broke enough for us to get some pics.

Absolute must visit. Beautiful historic neighborhood perfectly preserved and restored. Worth walking around with nice weather and exploring all the small streets and beautiful architecture. Recommend stopping at a tea house for a break. Beautiful. Highly recommend.

I would rate it as must see location in term of easy and interesting walk/city seeing experience. Gives a glimpse of Korean culture and architecture. Negative aspect - incredible number of very load and annoying individuals who are after selfies more than basic respect to local residents Recommended for visit. Enjoy the walk and show some respect toward others

Traditional Hanok Village. A lot of the houses are newly renovated with a traditional Hanok vibe. It's very photogenic. Recommend going right when they open since it can get crowded (but not too early as they are close to public before the road are open for public access). They also have tea shops and other retail stores within the village.
Yikna W — Google review
A traditional Korean village with some modern touches. A very eclectic selection of shops, not your typical tourist shops selling tacky sovenirs. There are many side streets worth exploring. Be prepared to walk a lot! This place is just next to the main palace, so it attracts spillover crowd. Be respectful of some places - they are actually residences. So do keep your volume down!
Ron Y — Google review
Interesting historical cultural village where you can see old privately owned homes from the outside. If you know south Australia, and you know Hahndorf, then this is the korean version albeit better in a historical sense. What is the same is the touristy vibe with the trinkety shops set up in some of the homes. The observatory near the top was good, the rest, not so much. Worth checking out because you came all the way to korea but really just a lot of old historical houses which for the most part you only see from the outside.

Ilsan Lake Park is a serene lakefront escape offering a variety of attractions such as walking paths, playgrounds, sculptures, and even a small zoo. Situated along the Hangang River in Seoul, this park is a favorite weekend spot for locals and tourists alike. With over 1,800 cherry blossom trees and an array of other flora like forsythia shrubs and weeping willows, the park transforms into a fairy tale-like setting during spring.
I spent about 6 months in this area and enjoyed every moment of it. I loved being around the calm moments in the park on the lake and being able to exercise. It was special to witness the changing seasons here. I recommend taking a break from the tourist areas and spending a day here. It is just off the metro station and about an hour or so away from where most tourists are. I think you can also take a bus, and of course, drive. There are plenty of restrooms around the park too so no worries if you are not staying in the area. There are festivals as well with vendors who showcase their talents with homemade goods. I bought special heartfelt gifts here that I will cherish. I was also lucky to see my first drone show ever after a fall flower festival I think it was in October. I will definitely return here.

I'm glad I came here at the right time of the year. They have the World Flower Exhibition, and I spent around four hours inside, enjoying every single part of the event. I think it's worth visiting at least once—you'll fall in love with it! The ticket price is reasonable compared to others, and I even got a discount because I used my public transportation card to get here. The lake is a bit outside of Seoul, and the journey took over an hour. I also took some time to walk along the lake—such a great spot for a medium-length walk! In the summer, they have a musical fountain show at night. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

The only reason I visited this lake again to see the pretty hydrangeas. As you see, I visited here a bit late, the hydrangeas already burnt? by the hot 🌞. Besides the pretty hydrangeas, there are many other photo spots as well. If you plan to go here, better arrive before 12pm, otherwise, you're gonna find line of cars waiting to enter the parking lot. Even if you can enter the parking lot, you have to keep circling the parking lot until you find free space.

Although this place is an artificial lake park, it seems like natural park because of lots of tree. It boasts an impressive array of marine life, including fishes, sharks, and penguins, as well as land animals like monkeys, goats, and ponies. Visitors can enjoy daily educational programs featuring feeding shows and interactive musicals. Additionally, ticket holders can receive a 10% discount on meals at the food court.
Very good place for children and adults. Entry fee is costly. We gave 54,000 krw after discount. My baby is 9 months old so they didn’t count him. In the website the price is higher but if you buy pickets on spot and by person i think you will get more discount. Food stalls, baby nursery room everything was there!

It's a good aquarium, but is not as big as the one in Coex mall. In addition to the aquarium, there are also some Amazon animals and a small farm in the rooftop to feed the goats/sheep. There is no discounts for children so you'll have to pay the ticket rate equally for all, which comes out to be expensive (33,000 krw each when I visited). For this reason, try to book the tickets online as they offer discounts. Overall, it's OK. If you're near the area, come visit. Otherwise, I don't see a reason to come only for here.

Lovely aquarium and pretty empty on the weekday we went which was really nice while walking round. Lots to see and different to other aquariums. There's even a section of various animals which were cool to see. Loved seeing the stingrays being fed.

Love this place! My wife and I came here after our engagement party as we loved every bit of it!! And it was one of the first places we brought our firstborn to when we visited Korea~ Our son, who's about 21 months old had a hard time paying attention to the animals, but there's so much to see, and lots of fun ways to engage with the animals here! We'll definitely bring him back once he's a little older :)

They have a nice selection of aquatic animals and even some other animals like ringtailed lemurs and some farm animals on the roof. Many different species are sharing an exhibit. For most animals they also have some info in English, not for all though. Tickets are not that cheap but when they are taking good care of their animals that is no problem. But do they take good care of the animals? Most living spaces are small, some even really small. Some animals show obvious signs of stress, like the penguins.

A medium-sized aquarium with a good assortment of marine life. It's well laid out and there's enough space to move around even if it's crowded. It's hard to go on a rainy day but I imagine it's very nice on other summer days ! Even a big open court to grab food and sit at! I loved it ! Visit here ! (Even though I didn't get to see the water park)

Are you watching Love Alarm on Netflix right now? Yep, this is where they shot the skating scenes! There are 2 parks - the snow park and the water park. We were only able to visit the snow park due to limited time. Me and my family went here last June 2018. We had so, so, so much fun!! Helmets and thermal jackets are provided, pick a color! It must be worn before entering the ice for safety. The park is kid and adult friendly. This is our first time skating! Well with sleds, we hope to try the skates soon haha. The entire place is a fortress, with lot of shops, cafés, boutiques, and restaurants around.

A water park and a shopping mall next to each other. In summertime it will probably be packed. Right now it wasn't crowded at all. Decent shopping. Zara and H&M. Some other shops. Bot as crowded as western dome.
Bong K — Google review
The place is quite small for only one indoor floor and one outdoor floor with 3 slides. Outdoor floor is opened at 11:00am. People are not too many, so the waiting time is fine around 15-20mins. Tickets were cheaper if bought online. Half day here is fine.
YY N — Google review
I thought sledding for hours and hours would get old but it was actually fun. You can choose between a guided slope you slide down with a partner or a solo freestyle slope. Climbing the many stairs to switch between the two, then waiting in line eats up a lot of time, but the exhilarating trip downhill makes it all worth it. When it does start to wear a little thin, there are several picture zones, a cafeteria with tasty fries and the whole indoor ice rink where you can skate, jump on a trampoline or have real dogs pull you around on a sled (kinda weird but they looked healthy enough).

So many ppl here today, Friday. Arrived here at 11 pm. I bought ticket from tmon. Pls remember and be careful, I asked the staff there and I clearly said I bought ticket from tmon, but she said I must get waiting number and must get the entrance ticket from the locket! Lucky I tried to check myself. I input the ticket number into the ticket machine, and yes I got the ticket! They need to educate their staffs again!! When we enter the entrance, we ll get locker key that we can use to keep our shoes or sandals and we can use it to pay for something we ate, drank, bought inside. For the most interesting rides here, boomerang, I waited in line for 1 hour! The ride was so short. Not worth the waiting.. one of the staff (guard) even tried to send people who queued alone coz boomerang is a ride for two. The ticket is of course cheaper compare to carribean bay but the scale is also smaller than carribean bay!

The Garden of Morning Calm, located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, is the oldest private garden in the country and covers a vast area of 330,000 square meters. It features themed sections with diverse plant and flower collections that bloom throughout the year. The garden offers a serene escape with its tranquil walkways and stunning natural landscapes.
The Garden of Morning Calm is absolutely breathtaking! 🌸 Nestled in the mountains, it’s one of the most peaceful and beautifully landscaped gardens I’ve visited in Korea. Every section is thoughtfully designed, with vibrant flowers, serene walking paths, and stunning photo spots throughout. The air feels so fresh, and it’s the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. The garden is well-maintained, clean, and easy to navigate. There are also cozy cafés and snack stalls nearby to enjoy a warm drink. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a calm and scenic escape from the city.

We visited the Garden of Morning Calm as part of a tour package, and it turned out to be a very beautiful experience. The garden is well maintained and has several themed sections, each with its own charm. It is calm, quiet, and filled with lovely photo spots, making it a great place to enjoy nature. That said, I would recommend it only if you are already in the area. It does not feel worth traveling all the way from Seoul just for this. Also, accessibility is limited as the grounds are quite hilly, so be prepared to walk.

Our afternoon drive from Seoul to Gapyeong-eup was wonderfully enhanced by a stop at the Garden of Morning Calm. Although we arrived a bit late at 5pm, this turned out to be the perfect time to visit, with most of the day's crowds already gone. We had the spacious garden largely to ourselves, allowing us to fully immerse in its calm, peaceful, and truly mind-refreshing atmosphere. The garden is a masterpiece of landscape design, beautifully blending natural elements with artistic touches. We were captivated by the majestic thousand-year-old Millennium Juniper. The stunning variety of flowers and plants, and the serene water streams and ponds adorned with charming bridges and pavilions. The addition of unique structures like a chapel, a Western-style cottage, and Korean house added fascinating layers to our stroll. It was the perfect way to break up our journey, offering a moment of tranquility before we continued to our final destination. I highly recommend this beautiful garden for a visit.

Aahh… this one is definitely my favorite. Right at the entrance you’ll find food stalls selling Korean favorites like corn dogs, fish cakes, and more. The food was delicious, and the best part is that even though it’s a tourist spot in a remote area, the prices weren’t jacked up. Big plus! To be honest, at first I thought this garden would be just “meh” 😑 , the usual flowers, benches, fountains, and bridges. But I was wrong. The garden is massive, and what really took my breath away was the area where the garden meets the mountains. The view was stunning and the atmosphere instantly felt calm and serene. The name truly fits. This is a must visit in South Korea. We’ll definitely come back and spend more time here. Pro tip: Book this with the Nami Island tour on Klook for convenience. If you want to enjoy the garden longer, consider booking a private van so you can spend the whole afternoon there.

Wow!! Didn't know what to really expect, but this place was a little slice of heaven on earth! We booked a day tour from Seoul, and this was a stop along the tour. By far, out most favorite stop along the tour. Its pure tranquility, and serenity. You almost feel as thought you are in a different world. The gardens are stunning, and peaceful. We saw giant bunnies roaming around, also babies. Its definitely a place that will make you happy 🪷 hopefully, you can try and miss the crowds. Although, we went on a Sunday, which was crowded, but still managed to find plenty spots to relax in solitude, and just absorb the breathtaking gardens. Felt very fairytale like...wonderful place to take many pictures 🪷💫🍃

A big garden, with beautiful scenery. It's thematic garden with plenty photo spots. Unfortunately I was there when raining. Ok lease watch the weather when you plan in advance. But as long as it's not heavy rain, we can still enjoy it.

Took the tour back mid March of this year. It’s part of our Nami Island/Rail bike tour through Klook for $133.00. We got lucky and enjoyed the natural beauty of the garden in winter with snow-covered paths against the backdrop of Chungnyeongsan Mountain. We enjoyed some Korean snacks and hot cappuccino to compliment with the weather. Garden wasn’t in full bloom season and no early spring flowers during our visit but the snow made it unforgettable and rewarding experience. Highly recommend!

THIS. IS. MY. FAVORITE. Literally guys, this is the most MAGICAL view i've ever seen. I cant describe. From my trip in Korea this is my favorite! I went on late April and the cherry blossom was supposed be fallen off already, but i can still see it in this garden. I love it and i will comeback. Every corner of the garden is magical and i love it. Very aesthetic. You'll feel like youre inside of a book with historical theme. A lot of flowers, tulips, cherry blossoms etc. Very calming and clean.

A large field of flowers and a nice place to relax. Not easy to go, but it is totally worth it. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this hidden gem offers a serene escape for those seeking tranquility. As you approach, the vibrant colors of the blossoms create a stunning tapestry that dances in the gentle breeze, inviting you to step closer. The sweet fragrance of the flowers fills the air, uplifting your spirits and calming your mind. Here, time seems to stand still, allowing you to forget your worries and simply immerse yourself in nature's beauty. You can find a cozy spot on the soft grass, where you can lie back and watch the clouds drift lazily across the sky. Nearby, the soothing sound of a babbling brook provides the perfect soundtrack for a peaceful afternoon. Whether you choose to read a book, meditate, or simply enjoy the scenery, every moment spent in this flower-filled paradise rejuvenates the soul. I recently visited this Korean garden and was impressed by its natural beauty. The landscape was thoughtfully designed and included traditional Korean elements such as a pond, pavilion, and various trees and plants. The garden was peaceful and provided a nice escape from the city. The only downside was that some areas were under construction, but I look forward to visiting again when it's fully completed. Overall, a lovely place to relax and appreciate nature.

Pocheon Art Valley is a captivating park-like destination nestled in a former granite quarry, where art and nature beautifully intertwine. Visitors can explore an array of outdoor sculptures, enjoy the serene lake views, and take in performances at the concert stage. The picturesque surroundings make it an ideal spot for couples or families looking to unwind together. A highlight is the monorail ride that offers stunning vistas without the need to tackle steep hills—definitely worth considering for a round-trip ticket!
I went here on 28th December. Because of the weather is not that cold so the view did not look the same as the internet. But if you like hiking or just walking, it's nice
Nguyễn T — Google review
It’s amazing view. The water from the bottom of the valley. Beautiful. You better buy a monorail ticket at least going up. Good place for kids.
Connie P — Google review
This is a nice picturesque place located in the countryside of Seoul. We can reach here by monorail which departs in every 15 mins. It has stunning natural views. Some of the Korean drama took place here.
Sanchita J — Google review
Not worth visiting. Only nice small lake, but the view is ruined with some stage
Arūnė A — Google review
Was quite disappointed with it. Apart from this valley that many Korean drama took place, overall just like any park. And the ugliest are all the status that looks not so artistically blend. Different perception of what is called arts. Took the monorail to go up the hill. The experience wasn’t that fantastic. Firstly the Korean aunties were just too noisy in the capsule. Secondly, the capsule windows was darkened don’t have the natural sunlight so it defeat the purpose of viewing outside view nicely. Overall, one time experience is enough.
JooZoo W — Google review
Nestled in the picturesque Seoul countryside, this is a lovely destination worth visiting. The tickets are reasonably priced, making it an accessible outing. One important consideration is the frequent monorail service - departing every 15 minutes. However, the monorail can become quite crowded during peak hours when group tours are prevalent. To ensure an enjoyable experience, I recommend planning your visit strategically and arriving early to avoid the busiest times on the monorail.
Divine F — Google review
Very amazing place. Be awake you have to walk mountain veeeeery much but its really worth it the view is amazing if the fine dust is not too much also the water and the rocks are so amazing. You should not be scared of heights if you wanna go that stairs of the picture or you need to look at the handrail like me 😅
J. T — Google review
Excellent place to spend time with your friends and family. Offers a variety of activities at a pocket friendly prices. Monorail is an unique experience. Sanmaru Concert Hall will give you a glimpse of Korean Culture as well. There's an Astronomical observatory for kids. Sculpture park with nearly 30 sculptures made of granites are on display. Reaching this place is a bit difficult by public transport. All in all a very good place to spend a day.

Imjingak Tourist Information Center

Tourist information center
Nature & Parks
Imjingak Tourist Information Center is a park located in South Korea that houses monuments commemorating the Korean War, along with historical information and scenic views of a bridge leading to North Korea. The center also includes the Imjingak Resort, which was constructed with the hope of eventual unification between North and South Korea. Additionally, visitors can explore the North Korea Center of Unification Board, which features numerous photographs and documents showcasing the harsh reality of life in North Korea.
I joined a DMZ tour and stopped by this place as the first destination to learn more about South Korea during the war era—and I really enjoyed it! The park features several important landmarks like the Freedom Bridge (where prisoners of war were once released), the Mangbaedan Altar (where people pay respects to loved ones in the North), and remnants of the Korean War such as an old locomotive and military installations. Traveling around South Korea is a lot of fun, but dedicating a full day to visiting the DMZ and Imjingak is absolutely worth it. This place gives real insight into the history that shaped the country into what it is today. I think if you can drive here, that’s even better—it gives you more time to walk around slowly, explore the exhibitions, and reflect on everything you’ve seen. Without tour guide, I think you can still enjoy because there are many signs in English.

Very interesting starting point for DMZ tours. The facilities are clean, there are several meal/snack/drink options to choose from before heading out on the tour bus (we were on one of the first tour busses for the day, the 0920 bus) There are a few monuments/items that have fascinating historical significance, I would highly encourage you to check them out (our tour guide gave us an excellent mini-lesson on them, 11/10! Shout out to Vincent 🙌)
Maxl D — Google review
Close to the DMZ, this national park is full of history. Ideally it would be better if you came here with a tour group so the guide can explain to you in details how were the Koreans affected by the war and how conditions were for females back then. If you came here on your on, it is hard to feel what the Koreans went through without someone sharing.
SL W — Google review
Heading to the DMZ, I stopped here to switch vehicles as you can only go to the DMZ with the branded buses. I had thr privilege of seeing the Imjingak Tourist centre and had fun while I got my ticket. Watched a short video on the Korean/Japanese war with the Turtle ship.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Dorasan Station is situated at the northernmost point of South Korea's railway line, and it is hoped that one day it will connect North and South Korea when peace prevails. Although visitors can combine tours to create a full day experience, JSA tour was no longer being offered as of April 2018. Nevertheless, the DMZ tour remains available and provides an incredible yet surreal experience. The Third Tunnel of Aggression is a must-see attraction in this region.
Very modern, interesting and odd station to nowhere (so far). Will be nice to go back when it's connected to Pyeongyang. You can have a free stamp in the station (NOT recommended to put it in your passport)
Antonio M — Google review
Dorasan Station was intended to connect the South Korean rail network to North Korea's and hopefully the rest of the Asia rail network. The station was built for international use, but because of the ongoing tensions, the huge station is mostly empty, save for some memorabilia. You can take the DMZ train to the station or visit it as part of a tour, but there is not much to see here other than the railway tracks that go into North Korea. The DMZ train only runs once per day and you have to take it from a South Korean station. If you're visiting as part of a tour, you will need to pay 1000 won to access the platform with the tracks. Strongly recommend you to do that as there is not much to see in the station itself. Perhaps in the future you can take a train from here to Pyongyang.
Luke P — Google review
Newly built and renovated railway station artificially opened only for tourists as no regular trains stopping here. Station is planned to be used as connection point with DPRK. Nice souvenir to get the memorial stamp for 1000 won.

Last weekend I finally was able to go to DMZ tour and it was so thrilling! We went to the Tunnel, Observatory and then we went to Dorasan station which is basically will be the first train station to North Korea in case of Unification. All in all, I definitely enjoyed my first trip to DMZ 🇰🇵
Lovtana — Google review
The northernmost train station in south korea. Also you can buy North korean wine here
Jason L — Google review
Dorasan Station is situated just south of the DMZ and serves as the last stop before reaching the border with North Korea. It is part of the Gyeongui Line, which historically connected Seoul with Pyongyang. The station holds significant symbolic value as it represents the potential for future connectivity between the two Koreas. Visitors can access the platforms and view the tracks heading north. It's a moving experience to stand on the platform and imagine the journey that could one day continue into North Korea. Check the train schedule in advance to plan your visit. Although there are occasional train services to and from the station, they may not be frequent. You can get a commemorative stamp from the station as a keepsake of your visit. Dorasan Station is included as part of our guided DMZ tours (Dora Observatory, the Third Infiltration Tunnel and Peace Park), which provided a structured experience and informative insights into the station's significance.

Sights & Landmarks
Dora Observatory is a hilltop post offering a close look into North Korea through pay binoculars. Visitors can witness the North Korean propaganda village, Kaesong city, and other sights. The nearby Dorasan Station is the northernmost train stop in South Korea and symbolizes hope for future inter-Korean connections. The observatory provides organized tours of the DMZ and JSA, with advance reservations recommended. The site features informative displays about the peninsula's history and artifacts related to the conflict.
Dora Observatory (도라전망대) offers one of the most surreal and poignant views of North Korea from South Korean soil. Located within the DMZ, this mountaintop vantage point provides a clear, binocular-aided look into the North, including the propaganda village of Kijŏng-dong and the skeletal Kaesong Industrial Complex. On clear days, you can even spot the *Reunification Flagpole towering in the distance. The observatory’s somber atmosphere is amplified by informational plaques and the palpable tension of the divided peninsula. While the experience is more contemplative than thrilling, it’s a powerful reminder of Korea’s unresolved division. Note: Access requires joining an official DMZ tour, and visibility depends on weather conditions—dress warmly in winter! A must for history and geopolitics enthusiasts.
Alvin L — Google review
Interesting theatre to look into the border between north and south Korea. There is a border town on both sides but according to the tour guide to DMZ, the town in North Korea border is fake and there is no one actually living there 🤔 They don't allow us to use your own binoculars but there is a pay one to use at the observatory.
Penny G — Google review
Great experience looking over the DMZ towards North Korea. Our excellent guide, Jones, was able to point out interesting sites including the various bunkers, the starting point of the third infiltration tunnels, the now abandoned industrial village, the jamming tower and more. An added bonus was that Jones brought his own pair of powerful binoculars so we did not have to queue for the public ones. As luck would have it, the weather was perfect to allow us a clear view over the DMZ. And whilst the JSA is closed to visitors, this is the next best option.
Alex T — Google review
Unique and thought-provoking view into North Korea Dora Observatory is one of the most fascinating stops on a DMZ tour. From here, you can actually see into North Korea, including the North’s village of Kijŏng-dong, which, according to our guide, is mostly a ghost town built to give the illusion of prosperity. On the South Korean side, you’ll spot Daeseong-dong, a real village where people still live, and the massive South Korean flag is clearly visible from the observatory. Photos aren’t allowed here for security reasons, so it’s all about being in the moment and taking in the reality of the division between the two countries. That said, the view is striking and definitely leaves an impression. There’s also a small café and sitting area on the second floor, where you can rest while literally facing North Korea, a surreal but peaceful experience. Photos from other areas. More pics at my IG: @ogolphotos Highly recommended as part of any DMZ tour. It’s not just a tourist stop, it gives you a deep sense of the ongoing tension and hope that exists in the region.
Gustavo O — Google review
Visiting the DMZ today on the Korean Peninsula was not as I expected at all. I was completely caught off guard how I would feel emotionally. Before I booked this tour, I was thinking - cool, let’s go check out this place. Let’s see the solders with their guns, the military check points, and get a glimpse of the Hermit Kingdom. It started out just as I expected. It felt so cool to be so close to North Korea. It wasn’t until we went to the Dora Observatory and had a chance to see the city, buildings, and farm on the other side, with binoculars, that it really hit me. All I could do was imagine what life is like for the people right in front of me, who were just a mere 4-5 kilometers from me. Here I was observing them from a far as if they lived in a zoo. These photos were not taken by me because you can not take photos of North Korea from the observatory anymore.

Such great organization and set up to show the story and history behind the North and South of this peninsula. So many artifacts are on display and it is hair raising driving through and seeing the signs of mines in the field. The expos are well put together and provide an accurate description of what happened, how and why. There are times group viewings on the top floor with binoculars pointed towards North Korea. This is time well spent and well worth the drive understanding the conflict. Highly recommend!

The Third Tunnel, also known as the Third Tunnel of Aggression, is one of four tunnels dug by North Korea with the suspected intention of invading South Korea. It has the potential to transport a large number of soldiers at an alarming rate and there may be other undiscovered tunnels. Despite North Korea's claim that it was part of a coal mine, evidence found on the tunnel walls suggests otherwise.
Kudos to the management !! This place is beautifully managed. Going inside The Third Tunnel is unique exciting experience. Sports shoes are must, as you need to walk almost a mile inside the tunnel, wet surface. Outside the tunnel, there are many picturesque points to capture memories and spend quality time. Cafeteria and shopping is also available. If you are in South Korea, DMZ is must go !!!

We went to the 3rd infiltration tunnel as part of our DMZ tour. As the bus takes you to the tunnel, you cross an innocuous blue line painted on the road. This marks the start of the DMZ. At the 3rd tunnel there is large carpark with an old tank, museum and some sculptures at one end and the entrance to the tunnel at the other. When you enter the building housing the tunnel entrance there is a photo opportunity with some much guards. You then have to deposit your mobile phones as they cannot be taken into the tunnel. You then have to collect a safety hat which turns out to be a vital piece of kit. Don’t take it off! Now for the fun part(!) - the walk to the tunnel is 350 metres down a steep walk. Then you walk along the tunnel itself for 250 metres until the first (of three) concrete blockades; you cannot go further than the first blockade which is actually only about 170 metres from the border with North Korea. The walk along the tunnel is quite low in many places - I am 6 foot tall and spent 80% of the 250 metre walk bent over and hit my head on the jagged roof at least a 8-10 times. I was very grateful for the hard hat. The tunnel has a number of area with dynamite holes made by North Korea and the tunnel is a nice piece of history. But other than that, there is not much to see. Then you have to walk back along the tunnel for 250 metres half bent over before the 350 metre steep climb back to the top. So make sure you have comfortable walking shoes and are prepared for the walk - I was reasonably ‘puffed’ by the time I reached the top and the souvenir shop.

This was part of our dmz tour, it has unique historical background, but the tunnel itself is not very tempting. Easy way downhill for just a cement wall and then obviosly lot harder way up. Not really worth it going down since you are not allowed to take pictures.

Emotional in many ways to visit here. Cameras are not allowed in many areas...gor obvious reasons. Definitely worth the visit. A short drive from Seoul. Many tours available, but can also go on your own. We arrived and were able to get tickets without a reservation. We did arrive early, however. If you decide to go into the 3rd tunnel, its quite strenuous. The decent is steep, and low ceilings. Then the hike up. Wear comfortable shoes. Very glad we went the the DMZ while in the area.

North korea built tunnel to attack South Korea, but it was discovered in time and is now a tourist site. The walk down to the bottom and back up is brutal, wear walking shoes and take it seriously it is tough. No photos down there either. Overall a cool experience.

Fascinating experience, however do take note that it requires physical stamina to walk through a tunnel with safety helmets (those who are tall ie. 1.70m and above will need to bend down) and walk up a steep slope to return. No handphones are allowed in the tunnel. Lockers are provided prior to entering.

Interesting historical incursion into south Korea via underground tunnel. Limited photo opportunities due to being in military zone however, still well worth booking the tour and hearing about the history, and going into the tunnel itself. Fairly steep access and exit so need a level of fitness, however you can take your time.

The Third Tunnel was part of a DMZ package tour.. it was well worth it , to see what people did and endured during this period in history. The cost was very reasonable for half day including transportation from Seoul, the Dora Observatory and meeting with someone who escaped North Korea a few years ago..

The Third Tunnel

Pocheon Herb Island

Theme park
Nature & Parks
Pocheon Herb Island is a whimsical park with various themed attractions, cafes, and a souvenir shop. It's an ideal summer destination, especially when combined with a visit to Dumulmeori Lake. The park features a large shop offering plant-based items like skincare products, tea, and candles. Visitors can also enjoy a foot spa area and stunning light displays at night. This unique and beautifully detailed location offers a refreshing break from busier tourist spots.
I was so lucky to see Pink Muhly in this place. This is my 2nd time visiting this place and still so beautiful and worth to visit.

A unique attraction you can take thousand of photos from. Must see Pink Muhly Sand Sky Herb.

We didn't know what to expect, but we were afraid of getting spirited away in this phantasmagorical nightmare filled with dilapidated sculptures, labyrinthine paths and exhibits not found on the map. Bizarre, scary. Lightly dystopian. The bibimbap at the café was very good though.

The worst place I have been in Korea. The place is very poorly maintained. Although there are many theme areas. But really poor maintained and is so rundown. There is only one restaurant. I ordered the beef rib soup. The worst I ever have. Cold, 2big ribs with not much meat. Cost 17,000. I think I prefer to eat back in Seoul! And self-service There are a few cafes. Maybe it will be better to have some like grab in the cafes or if you wanna be there, eat before you go. The only place that was full of humans, was the pink theme pink mully grass with an artificially colored shocking pink sand slope. Anyway, the ticket and all the pay pay pay inside this area, simply not worth it. But because you want to post on social media coz’ of the shocking pink zone, Maybe… The management of this place should rethink how they should manage this place properly.

Not worth your time! I can't flush the toilet, the lights won't turn on, everything needs to have a ticket, I can't turn the sink on, and I should've lowered my expectations on the pink sand! There was so little pink sand!
Nani N — Google review
We were in the area and had nothing to do so we stopped by here in Autumn 2023. The big attraction was a field of pink muhly which is a pink coloured grass. That part is quite beautiful, and possibly worth the 12,000 Won entry fee. Otherwise the gardens are not that impressive and overall theme is odd. We had our kids and there was just so many ways they squeeze more money out of you. Despite the entrance fee, everything else costs a lot of extra money and is not that great (big swing, sand slide that takes 1 second etc.)

There's more than 250 herbs here. It's also an amusement Park and place where there's lavendar, edibility garden, shops, rides and lots of pink things. Very picturesque

An interesting place to go if you have time to explore the area. Be sure to go to the spa and get some DIY projects. A good spot for families. Go in the evening so you can enjoy the lights more. The bakery and botanical garden was a huge favorite for our group.

"This is a famous spot where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of ancient terrain while walking on the waterway if you visit in winter. (UNESCO World Natural Heritage)"

A geographically interesting area that seems to be quite a popular spot for kdrama filming. It has a nice pavilion perched on the hill side overlooking a river. A quick hike down to the pavilion from the entrance.

This is an amazing place where we can see 100 mil. years of geological history. It shows tremendous value in understanding the status of the past. It shows very diverse appearances according to the angle we look at. We may feel God's gentle touch on nature for us.

Great place to visit in Cheolwon. Don’t recommend on hot and humid days as it gets super sweaty. Recommend to wear comfortable shoes for a lot of walking and stairs. It’s shooting venue for a lot of historical dramas as well.

Goseokjeong Pavilion, or 고석정, stands as a cultural gem amidst the tranquil landscapes of South Korea. Nestled in the picturesque Gangwon Province, this pavilion offers a serene retreat with its breathtaking views and historical significance. Perched on the rocky cliffs overlooking the Sokcho coastline, the pavilion provides an awe-inspiring panorama of the East Sea and the surrounding mountains. The pavilion's architecture showcases a harmonious blend of traditional Korean design, emphasizing simplicity and elegance. Visitors can appreciate the cultural significance of the pavilion, as it has been a source of inspiration for poets and scholars throughout history. The calming ambiance and natural beauty make it an ideal spot for contemplation and reflection. Surrounded by lush greenery, Goseokjeong Pavilion serves as a gateway to explore the adjacent Seoraksan National Park, renowned for its diverse flora and fauna. The hiking trails leading from the pavilion into the park offer a delightful adventure for nature enthusiasts. While Goseokjeong Pavilion may not be as widely known as some other landmarks, its serene beauty, historical relevance, and connection to the stunning natural surroundings make it a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered by those seeking a peaceful escape into South Korea's rich cultural and natural heritage.

First time being here and I’m speechless with the beauty of it. From the pavilion to it’s very beautiful bawhi (rock) that form by the eruption since 100 millions years ago It’s a worth place to visit especially during the day. The place is all free to visit. But if you want to take a ship near the site, you need to pay around 6000won if im not mistaken hehe

It is a charming and beautiful place. But you have to stand in a long queue for a ticket. There was a crowd of people waiting to buy tickets. Since we went on a university trip, we didn't have to wait. The tickets were arranged by the university. Otherwise, you may have to wait for hours to get a ticket on weekend.

I visited here to join in DMZ Peace train music festival. My friend suggest me to ride on tourist boat. It cost about 6,600 won by card per person. The boat sailing about 15 mins and captain give touristic information during driving(But I think they do not able to operating English version). We could enjoy beautiful scenery on daytime before enjoy festival.
