Cát Bà Island is the largest island in Ha Long Bay and is known for its diverse natural ecosystems, including marine and terrestrial habitats. The island is home to a national park that covers about half of its area, providing a sanctuary for the highly endangered Cat Ba langur. With limestone karsts, tropical forests, coral reefs, mangroves, and more, Cát Bà boasts high biodiversity.
Stunning and anyone who says otherwise has no appreciation for earths natural beauty. Yes there is a lot of construction going on BUT there is also so much stunning flora and fauna alongside life changing mountainous views unlike anything I’ve ever seen with my own eyes before
Mia M — Google review
Construction going on atm until 2030 at the front but if you take scooter you see beautiful beaches and coast - it’s just one part of the island when there’s so many other wonderful treasures that the island offers
Zuzanna K — Google review
Lots of construction on main beach - no access to beach and a sky full of cranes….id give this place a miss till they finish the work over the next 5 years. We stayed long enough to do a bay day tour (excellent) but the vibe on the main drag sort of ruined it we left a day early
Drinkwater F — Google review
I excepted more, but Cat Ba island is not really what I thought. Everything in the main island is quite basic, constructions, overpriced restaurants, not good quality seafood (some still nice but not all),… Only thing I can enjoy more is going to see the sea with the boat tour: nice sea with sunny light, you can take nice pictures and can go swimming there too, visit some caves bypass,… Think 3 days is enough to visit there.
Thanh L — Google review
Amazing experience in my life time . Thanks for preserving it . Enjoyed each and every moment starting from yatch cruise , swimming , banana boat ride
Shalif A — Google review
Beautiful island but massive construction projects, lack of infrastructure general confusion makes it not worth visiting right now Insanely noisy do to huge construction project larger than the existing city. Every cruise or tour I scheduled got cancelled (4 in a row) so unless you’re planning on just eating, drinking and listening to jackhammers all day probably avoid it for now.
Jason D — Google review
I really like this place very beautiful and peaceful, on the main island of Cat Ba there is a small town, but quite modern. People here live by seafaring and tourism, they are trying to catch up with the hustle and bustle of tourists from outside arriving on the island. However, the service here is not always good, when experiencing the restaurant here you should pay the price before ordering.
Thiep P — Google review
A picturesque place. Peaceful calm, ideally for both couples and family. Best part is it is also very budget friendly. You can spend a week in less than 500 dollars for a couple while staying in good hotels and good food

Hạ Long Bay is a breathtaking natural wonder in Vietnam, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its stunning and unspoiled beauty makes it a top choice for travelers seeking to explore and experience its impressive natural landmarks, unique rock formations, and the traditional way of life of the local inhabitants. The bay offers various activities such as diving, rock climbing, and hiking amidst its tree-covered limestone islands.
Wow! What a place!😍 You must add it to your Vietnam itinerary. The cruise, cave exploration, view & the food, all were amazing! Here you can even enjoy few activities like Kayaking, Bamboo boat & speed boat.

This beautiful place is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a full-day excursion tour with many magnificent caves to explore. The breathtaking scenes are accompanied by various activities to enjoy. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone looking to add a touch of adventure to their bucket list.
Rizwan G — Google review
I recently visited Ha Long Bay, and it was an unforgettable experience. The sheer beauty of the limestone karsts rising dramatically from the emerald green waters is absolutely mesmerizing. The scenery feels like something out of a dream. I opted for a day cruise, which allowed us to explore the caves, enjoy kayaking, and relax while taking in the serene surroundings. Sung Sot Cave was an incredible highlight with its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The boat ride was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you have more time, I highly recommend the overnight cruises, which I plan to do next time. One small downside was the number of tourists in certain areas, but it didn’t take away from the overall beauty and tranquility of the place. The local food served on the boat was fresh and flavorful, adding an authentic Vietnamese touch to the trip. If you’re visiting Vietnam, Ha Long Bay is a destination you simply cannot miss. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a reason, and it truly lives up to the hype!
Om T — Google review
Must see in Vietnam- despite it is so turisted. Were on a luxury cruise which was a great experience in it self - but I assume all boats give the same tours and the nature is stunning.
Ane J — Google review
Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Vietnam, is one of the country's most iconic natural wonders and a must-visit destination for any traveler. I recently had the opportunity to explore this breathtaking bay, and I can confidently say it captivated my heart with its stunning landscapes and rich cultural experiences. The first thing that strikes you about Ha Long Bay is its remarkable beauty. The bay is dotted with over 1,600 limestone islands and islets, many of which are covered in lush greenery. The sight of these towering karsts rising dramatically from the emerald waters is simply awe-inspiring. Whether viewed from a boat, a kayak, or the shore, the scenery is breathtaking and offers numerous photographic opportunities. A visit to Ha Long Bay is often best experienced through a cruise. There are various options available, from day trips to overnight excursions on luxury junks. I opted for an overnight cruise, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The crew was incredibly attentive, and the accommodation was comfortable, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation. The daily itinerary included visits to hidden caves, swimming in the bay, and enjoying sumptuous meals featuring fresh seafood while watching the sunset over the water. Apart from cruise activities, Ha Long Bay offers plenty of opportunities for adventure and exploration. Kayaking through the bay’s smaller lagoons and caves was a thrilling experience that allowed me to get closer to the stunning rock formations.
Nirav N — Google review
Very nice place. A must see when you come to Vietnam. I recommend the minimum 2 nights stay as most of the people only take one night and don’t get to see the most beautiful places. In the first day you only get to see the most crowded places. In the next day we went to a remote location and enjoyed some nice views and activities.
Liviu A — Google review
Superb scenery. Tourist attractions packed but was to be expected. Stay a night and take in the amazing surroundings first thing in the morning. Choose your cruise carefully!
J P — Google review
Ha Long Bay is indeed one of Vietnam's most iconic and popular tourist destinations, attracting travelers from all around the world. With its stunning view from different cave and emerald waters, it's no wonder it draws such a large crowds. Lots of fun activities like kayaking, walking up the stairs to see sun song cave, Tip top island, beach etc. lots of boat sailing on the ha long bay island.

The Jingzhou Museum is a remarkable historical museum situated in South China, which showcases relics dating back over 5000 years. It boasts of free entry and features a splendid garden for visitors to stroll through. Despite the advantage of free admission, local visitors may cause some noise within the premises. This museum is dedicated to displaying artifacts and objects that preserve the rich cultural heritage of State Chu, an ancient kingdom that existed for 800 years.
The Jingzhou Museum, located in Jingzhou, Hubei Province—my hometown—has a history of 2,500 years and is a comprehensive museum featuring the culture of the ancient State of Chu. We are the descendants of Chu, and the museum preserves treasures from the Warring States period such as bronze ware, lacquered woodware, silk, bamboo slips, and the famous Tiger Seat Drum with Dragon and Phoenix. Admission is free. Its most renowned exhibits include the Sword of King Goujian of Yue, ancient silk, and Chu bamboo slips—among which the restoration of both silk and bamboo slips ranks among the most advanced in China. I warmly welcome you to visit my hometown and explore the Jingzhou Museum.

Well. Jingzhou is my hometown. I really would be proud to introduce this place to everyone. It’s a small lively city with very long history. If you are interested in what happened 2000 years ago on this land. You should definitely go and check out. However, the city is also well known of its good food, good combination of trading frontage culture and historical stories. I would recommend a stay and just walk around this cute place. I love it, and hope you will love it, too.

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled on the ancient city wall of Yueyang in Hunan Province, Yueyang Tower is a stunning historical landmark that boasts a unique roof resembling a Chinese general's helmet adorned with yellow tiles. This iconic structure, built during the Eastern Han Dynasty, has been celebrated for centuries and is often mentioned alongside other renowned towers like Yellow Crane Tower and Tengwang Pavilion as one of Jiangnan's 'Three Famous Towers.'
Have a look. It's definitely worth it if you are in the town. Nice sunset from her could be experienced. The walk is beautiful and can be a bit crowded during summer evenings, but that's the main thing if you want to experience real-life experience in China.

Changsha Window of the World is a large theme park that offers a unique experience for visitors. It features replicas of famous global landmarks such as Mount Rushmore, the Egyptian pyramids, and the Neuschwanstein Castle. The park also showcases the Xiangjiang Valley, which highlights the rich history and culture of Hunan Province with attractions like the Yuelu Academy and Fenghuang Ancient City Gate.
Although not a perfect place and quite old, it’s a great place to pay a visit during the trip to Changsha. They have some great places for photo shooting and rides together with food stalls. The main set back is that they don’t speak English and the foods are not tolerable for foreigners like us. But overall, it was quite a nice visit.
Khant Z — Google review
Probably the best China could afford in those era to give it's citizens a view of the great places of the world. Now most of them probably afford to see the original ones across the globe. OK for kids, to have a glimpse of the world famous sites and monuments in the same place.
Debasish R — Google review
Window of the world was an experience! The theme park itself was quite old and worn, with a lot of the park looking dirty and unclean. But it had a certain charm and I especially enjoyed the lake's water fountain show to some Disney and opera songs. I really did enjoy it and the lack of stars is only a reflection on the tiredness of the park. Sydney Opera House for example looked as though it had been on a three week bender - looked a bit dirty and smelly, but like lots of fun...
Taylor S — Google review
Came here for a layover in Changsha. Tickets are expensive (180 RMB) and not worth it. The park was tired and worn out with barely any people during the day. Seemed almost like an abandoned amusement park. Performances were not happening and there were barely any staff in the park. Go to the one in Shenzhen...it's 10x better!
S — Google review
Beautiful theme park with very accurate reproductions of world famous monuments. Very nice cultural show in evening. Don't miss to see the beautiful Chinese girl dressed as Chinese traditional wedding girl. Thanks to Ms Zheng Hao who took me to this beautiful place during my visit to Changsha. Must go during visit to Changsha.

(Translated by Google) I was prepared to go after seeing the reviews saying it was old, but it was even more beautiful than I expected. It was nice that there weren't many people. I took my 1-year-old with me, and it was nice to take a walk, and there was also an indoor amusement park for kids. The staff seemed to be taking turns taking a break, so there were some play equipment that I couldn't ride on. Boats and VR require additional fees. When I ordered gyudon at a shop next to the roller coaster that rotates once, it was seasoned like a hot pot. There were also other stinky tofu shops. Although you can't see it on the map, there are many hills, so if you have small children, we recommend renting a stroller. The Ferris wheel had a lot of stairs so it was a little difficult. It was a nice change of pace. I think 20 yuan per person is cheap considering you can play this much.

Yuelu Mountain, located on the west bank of Xiangjiang River, offers a stunning display of red maple trees from mid-November to early December at the Autumn-Admiring Pavilion. The mountain is home to the Ancient Tree Botanical Garden, featuring ancient and famous trees dating back to various dynasties. Visitors can explore historical sites like Mawangdui Han Tomb and Hunan Provincial Museum while marveling at the extraordinary moon land and Tianxin Pavilion.
If you’re a foreign visitor, you can go without making a reservation. It’s a beautiful mountain right in the city. You can enjoy drinks or tea and relax at the top of the mountain. Plan to spend at least 2–3 hours in this area. it’s rich in the history of the mountain, the city, and the nearby university.

It takes around 45mins of uphill walk to reach the peak from the main gate entrance near 溁湾镇(地铁站). Was a tiring hike up, but there is an option of a tram ride. Hike up and on your way down, you can visit An Wan pavilion, then Yue Lu Academy.
Kelly Z — Google review
This one was quite overrated for me. Once you get to the entrance you pay for a bus service to go to the top assuming you don’t want to take the long walk. Once you are up there you can see a nice view of the city but that’s about it. The other attractions here are kind of mediocre.

Chairman Mao was giving birth at this small villages in Shaoshan farmer family. This residence where he lived for 17 years with his siblings and parents . The old residence show case of his childhood and the farming works. He loves to study instead of doing the farm work as one of the eldest son, he has high expectation from his dad to inherit the family business. Great to visit if you happen to be here to see his childhood residence ! This is just another 10 mins walk from the bronze statue. You may expect to have Long queue into visiting if his house and you also need to keep your camera and big carrier in the locker!

The Zhurong Peak hike was one of the highlights of our trip to Hengshan. The trail passes through forests, small temples, and beautiful viewpoints before reaching the summit at over 1,300 meters. The scenery changes as you go up, and the air gets noticeably cooler and fresher. The small Zhurong Temple at the very top sits right on the rocks and feels like something out of a painting. Entry to the scenic area is 100 RMB, and if you don’t want to hike, you can take the eco-friendly bus for 78 RMB. We decided to hike up and then take the bus down, which worked out perfectly since our legs were exhausted after the climb. The weather can get intense very quickly. When we went, it suddenly turned windy and rainy, and we had to buy ponchos on the way up. Definitely bring a rain jacket, windbreaker, and waterproof backpack. The stairs get slippery, and the wind near the summit can be surprisingly strong. Good shoes are a must. It’s a long and steep hike, so start early if you plan to go on foot. The views are incredible when the clouds part, and the sense of accomplishment at the top makes it all worth it. The only downsides are the commercialization in some parts and the crowds during holidays. Still, this is a must-do for anyone who enjoys hiking and doesn’t mind a challenge. Just be ready for changing weather and bring the right gear.

The Longji or Dragon’s Backbone rice terraces were built over 500 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. The terrace fields are found in Longsheng about a two hours drive from Guilin. From a distance, during the growing season, these winding terraces appear as if they were green woven cables laid out over the hillsides, starting at the riverbank and ending near the mountaintop. Visitors can meander through the paddies and villages, greeting and being greeted by horses, pigs, chickens and hard working locals.

Reed Flute Cave, located about 5 kilometers from Guilin's center in Guangxi Province, China, is a vast cavern known for its stunning underground karst formations. The cave stretches beneath the southern shoulder of Guangming Hill and has been a popular tourist destination since the Tang Dynasty. Visitors can explore the 240-meter deep, 500-meter long cave on guided tours to admire diverse stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, curtains and more.
One of the Top limestone caves. The entrance is 90 RMB. The tour takes between 75-120 Minutes. Some Stalactites are more than 30m high. It is a great experience
Andreas W — Google review
One of the amazing things you can see in Guilin. It is astonishing to see how nature forms these interesting stalactites and stalagmites. A few of them resemble animals, people, fruits, vegetables and landscapes. The way they are lit also makes it even prettier. I would not recommend this for people with mobility problems because it involves quite a bit of walking up and down stairs. The men's toilet was also special. The urinals are enclosed in glass and you can have a nice view while peeing 😁 Make sure you visit this place if you are in Guilin. Not to be missed.
Joseph T — Google review
I’ve always loved admiring natural scenery, and this time I had the chance to visit Reed Flute Cave. It’s a well-known karst cave relatively close to the city center and has even hosted several national leaders. Inside, you’ll find an incredible variety of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, curtains, and flowers—each with unique shapes and truly spectacular. Thankfully, it wasn’t too crowded on the day I visited, and since the cave is quite spacious, I could take my time to enjoy the sights and snap photos. Just a heads-up: you need to purchase a ticket to enter. A must-visit for nature lovers!
Perri — Google review
We made the right decision to take the tram up to the entrance to the cave even though this is a separate cost apart from the entrance ticket. There are 2 prices to the entrance ticket. The more expensive one basically includes an entrance fee to a specific section in the reed cave itself. Can do without, I find nothing spectacular in there, it's just some manmade photo spots with some artificial lightings. The cave was wet and could be slippery so wear suitable shoes with good friction. Interesting guided tour (included in entrance ticket) in Mandarin. I think it's worth a visit if you're in Guilin for a couple of days.
Viva V — Google review
Nice cave walk exploration here to spend 1hr in it. Recommended. But beware that the floor can be wet. The cable car ride is just not worth it. Better walk up and down on your own.

Pretty cool spot! The place was easy to navigate and the cave was cool but I feel there's a lot of these worldwide and this doesn't really stand out from the others. Definitely worth checking out though.

Nice place, but totally skippable. The colored lights make it a bit trashy, and there is no highlight really worth the visit unless you are in love with caves.

Nice maintained paied park but all activities inside need to add ticket cost
Fabrice T — Google review
Used to come here often as a kid, but the scenery inside is not worth the entrance price. The highlight for me are the several hills inside the park that can be easily hiked for good views of the city, a hill shaped like a camel where Bill Clinton gave a speech, and a mosque and several modest Buddhist temples, but they may have renovated and gone commercial. Qixing Cave can be skipped if you see Reed Flute Cave. If you are put off by the ticket price, there are a few places where the park fence intersect the river where one could sneak in for free, just watch for poop along the path.
John R — Google review
The park itself is fine, OK to visit, ticket isn't too expensive, but need another different tickets for here and there, the famous CAVE is one of them, need an extra ticket to enter. The pavilion on top of the middle small hill is not that worth it after reach it, not well maintained and not very clean, either. The view for surrounding terrains are just fine.

Nice park in Guilin, you could climb up a mountain inside the park to get a great view of the city and surrounding mountains. Had some beautiful sculptures and nice amenities. The high ropes course is cool, but much more suited to kids than adults as we found out the hard way 😂

Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park is a unique destination in China that showcases various aspects of Chinese culture. Situated in the Shanhu Lake area, the park features two pagodas, known as the Sun and Moon pagodas, which offer visitors an opportunity to learn about Chinese heritage as they climb each level. Nestled in downtown Guilin, this park is a picturesque blend of natural beauty and cultural significance.
The twin pagoda (Sun and Moon) is definitely worth a visit at night when it is beautifully lit up. Very picturesque. There will be many people so just be patient and you will get your chance to take the shot.

Elephant Trunk Hill is a famous landmark in Guilin, China, known for its unique rock arch that resembles an elephant's trunk dipping into the water. The city of Guilin has long been celebrated for its stunning natural scenery, with attractions like Lijiang River scenic area, Yulong River scenic area, and Xianggongshan Hill offering breathtaking views.
This is a wonderful experience when in Guilin. The hike to the top of the"mountain" is radars by spectacular vistas. I recommend going early, as it can get a bit crowded.

I think it is interconnected with Guilin 2 rivers & 4 lakes because it is nearby to one another. The place is nice, the view is beautiful and it is quite crowded with so many tourists. The entrance is free and there are so many booths and stalls that sell food, drinks and souvenirs. The place is also clean. You can see an elephant shape on the hill and there are also activities like river Cruise and so on here.
Hafizun M — Google review
"Elephant Trunk Hill, located at the confluence of Taohua River and Li River in Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is named because the shape of the hill resembles an elephant drinking water by the river and is known as the symbol of Guilin's landscape. The main scenic spots in Xiangshan Scenic Area include Water Moon Cave, Elephant Eye Rock, Puxian Pagoda, Yunfeng Temple, and the exhibition hall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Revolutionary Site in the temple. Water Moon Cave is close to the riverside, and the Li River flows through it, like a floating moon in the water. One scholar in Jibei of the Song Dynasty wrote a poem Water Moon Cave Rhyme which was carved on the cave, saying "In the water, there is a bright moon, over the water, there is a floating moon. The water is flowing, while the moon is still there. The moon is gone, while the water is still flowing." The poem graphically depicts the beautiful scenery of the Water Moon Cave. In 2017, it was rated as a national AAAAA tourist attraction, covering an area of 118,800 square metres. It is a natural scenic spot of Karst landform. It has been a famous tourist attraction since the Tang Dynasty and has a tourist history of more than 1,000 years."

This place is extremely calm and quiet. It is a great place to take a break from shopping when on holidays. The post officer nearby sells souvenirs and post cards with imprints of the elephant trunk hill. Be warned that it can get extremely crowded at times due to the large influx of people trying to take photos with the hill

Located about 9 km southeast of Nanning, Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Spot Zone is renowned for its lush greenery, undulating hills, and clear air. It's considered one of the Eight Famous Sceneries of Nanning and offers a wonderful hour-long walk. Visitors can take a shuttle car to the top for panoramic views of Nanning city and visit a temple for prayer. The spot also features an orchid garden that's around a 15-minute walk from the entrance gate.
Such a lovely place to visit. A really big park which has many different areas to see. The transport within the park is good too. Friendly for elderly people.

A very very big park. Great for morning exercise. There are many attractions within the park so you have to be selective. The easy way is to take a tram to the top (when most people get off) and walking down to explore. There is only Chinese signage and even that it is not very clear. There is Buddhist temple and viewing deck at the top. The other attraction I visited is the Longxiang Tower 龙象塔, which offers a 360 view of the city. The Confucian Temple 南宁孔庙 is near the south gate.

This is an absolutely huge park or mountain with several entrances. The park is manicured throughout with several themes, with temples, gardens, lakes, bridges, etc. scattered around. To enjoy it in full, at least a good half day should be allowed and to be prepared for a lot of walking, or there are shuttle buses for different routes that would take to different beautiful spots and attractions with stops enroute. There is a metro exit right next to the Western entrance, which is most convenient. From the top, by the temple, there are observation platforms that offer a superb view of Nanning.

Very nice place. A must see when you come to Vietnam. I recommend the minimum 2 nights stay as most of the people only take one night and don’t get to see the most beautiful places. In the first day you only get to see the most crowded places. In the next day we went to a remote location and enjoyed some nice views and activities.

Superb scenery. Tourist attractions packed but was to be expected. Stay a night and take in the amazing surroundings first thing in the morning. Choose your cruise carefully!

Oasis Bay Classic Cruise is a luxury cruise that offers a party atmosphere starting at 9pm. The two-day tour includes activities like kayaking, jacuzzi relaxation, and squid fishing. The crew is attentive and the guide speaks English fluently. Guests are treated to delicious meals and various excursions to caves, islands, beaches, and kayaking spots with stunning views. Despite the boat being slightly old, it is well-maintained with all necessary amenities.
Very nice experience. Well organised tour and cruise. Friendly staff and tasty food. The boat is a bit old, but all the amenities are present and everything is clean. I would definitely recommend.

Best during summer time *April to September* ONLY It was quite cold and very few ppl on the cruise. In such a case ideally the cruise should cancel so that there are more people and as everyone knows- the more the merrier!! Unfortunately for us the day was gloomy and cold. Sun was out only the next morning. Our guide Victor was really good and a sweet chap. Kayaking, trampoline, Jacuzzi was fun. We couldn’t swim as it was so cold. The food on the cruise was just alright. For the first meal they ran out of a few dishes, which seems illogical considering the number of people!! The second meal was decent, the third and last meal was like a favor on us! So so poor. Id recommend you to carry a few things from the city- snacks, tea/coffee and most importantly water. The bar staff and servers were sweet. Rooms were really spacious. Included toiletries. I find it weird they ask us to leave the room by 8.30-9am. It simply pointless as we waited a long time at the restaurant level to get to the port and then into the boat. So be prepared to wake up early after a long party night. Besides the worst part was the house keeping simply walks into your room. Zero sense of security!

Given 3 stars as the cruise it self was good ...but after reading some reviews ..it is easy to get relieved of you're money pretty easy with out a full explanation what services you should have taken part in ..DO NoT buy from a ticket tout even in the main cruise building ..or hotel you will end up paying heaps more and trying to track the tout should anything go wrong is a knight mare...go to the main desk ..ask what options are ..such as what food and what excursions you wish to go on like the row boat as that costs more on to you're ticket ..beware don't rush Into purchasing a ticket from just anyone you won't get the full enjoyment otherwise

Great experience. The food was delicious, the room spacious and clean. The only con was the cold water at the shower. We met nice people, we played cards, danced and had a good time together.
Ioana S — Google review
This was a let down considering the amount of money we paid. The hot tubs were cold (and it was barely 15 degrees outside). The “happy hour” was buy 2 get 1 free but had to be cocktails (the website said 2 for 1 any drinks). Drinks were expensive and the bar tending was slow especially considering there was only 25 other people on the cruise. We asked if more people would be joining us and they lied, saying there would be others joining us the next day. On the last day we were not fed lunch (despite it being on the itinerary) and so if you didn’t get up for breakfast (which was at 7am) you didn’t eat until 6pm that night back in Hanoi. Wish I had not purchased this expensive cruise.

Five star cruise, five star service, great hosts, great staff, good food and the party night was amazing.
Vipul L — Google review
We booked February 16-17 2023, The jacuzzis were all freezing (except for the smallest one which has a capacity of 6 on a boat carrying 70 passengers), on a day where the temperature was 17°c and the staff kept lying to us saying "it is heating for the big party tonight" which we later discovered was only to make us shut up. Also didn't do the drinking games they promised us, there was zero animation and the alcohol is fairly expensive for vietnam. We basically paid over 200$ for a kayaking trip. Ha long bay itself is nice though, you should book with another boat
Justin D — Google review
We booked this tour from our hotel (Fancy Hotel in HaLong). We were picked up from the hotel and were delivered right at the tour boat. The guide spoke English well and was enthusiastic and energetic. Lunch was provided on the boat as well. This tour took us to caves, islands, beaches and kayaking spots and provided us with enough amazing views. We chose this day tour instead of the one night two days tour, and I didn't regret that decision for a second. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Our " Sticky Rice " Tour group stayed 2 days 1 night. Food and Service was amazing. Everything was catered for. Appreciate you all. Our Tour guide Mack from Vacation Indochina Travel was spectacular. Thank you for our Cooking Demo and site seeing adventures Cảm ơn

First time on a cruise in Halong Bay. The rooms were decent. The bathroom was see through and flooded every time the shower was used. The crew were friendly, polite and looked after us well. The food and drinks were average. The spring roll making and karaoke was great fun. I wouldn't stay overnight again as it was difficult to sleep with the sounds of water splashing against the boat all night.
Andrew — Google review
We did a 2 night cruise, and had 2 different guides who didn’t communicate and the second day was a repeat of the first, so we stayed on the boat. The food was average and the room wasn’t cleaned on the second day, which is awful when u can’t flush the toilet paper. Also my husband and 3 Kiwis got an upset stomach after night 2. The food looked good but didn’t taste good. The boat is old and tired and has fake grass covering the uneven deck. Please consider paying a bit more and choose something a bit better.

We had a lovely cruise on Halong Bay on Lavender Cruise. Alex, our tour guide was friendly and informative and provided an enjoyable cruise ensuring we ticked off the highlights of the bay including Ti Top Island and Secret Cave. Alex is extremely knowledgeable about the area and ensured we made it to Secret Cave before the crowds on the second morning. The crew on board the boat ensured we were well fed and looked after. Highly recommend.

One of the best experiences during my stay in Vietnam. The cruise was booked last minute because other cruise company tried to cheat us. And we are so happy we booked Lavender cruise at the end. The guide Bobby is very nice, helpful and tried to make everything so the passangers were satisfied. They upgraded our room so we had a big corner room surrounded by windows with stunning view. Main attractions of the cruise - Titop island, kayaking and Surprising cave are very crowded but thanks to Bobby we had kayaking only by our small group. There are also night attractions - karaoke and squid fishing. The food on the ferry is very delicious. Mostly they serve seafood so if you have other preferences you need to inform them in advance. The cocktails on board are quite expensive (6-7$ per one) but it is a common practice on ferry cruises in Hà long. We were very lucky to have a great weather and to meet great people on the boat so if I could, I would rate this cruise 6 out of 5 because everything was way better than we expected.

This overnight cruise exceeded all expectations! A truly wonderful experience, made even more memorable by the exceptional service of Jackie and Tracy. Their attentiveness and warmth really elevated the trip. We highly recommend opting for the room upgrade; the extra space was a luxurious treat, and the expansive restroom was a pleasant surprise. The private deck provided a serene escape to enjoy the breathtaking views. The culinary offerings were incredibly plentiful, with a diverse range of delicious dishes that satisfied every palate. To top it all off, the mixed drinks were not only expertly crafted but also surprisingly affordable, making for a delightful and relaxing evening. This cruise offers incredible value and creates lasting memories.

We really loved our 3-day, 2-night cruise, it felt like a soft landing in Ha Long Bay. The staff were incredibly kind, generous, and always eager to accommodate anything we needed. The trip was well-organized and peaceful, with just the right amount of activities like kayaking, cave & pearl farm visits, swimming... easy and enjoyable for both adults and kids. It was also a very family-friendly experience. Our kids felt welcome, and the staff made them feel seen and included, which made it that much more special. Something small that didn’t resonate with us as much, though offered in good spirit was live Vietnamese violinist playing a Vietnamese violin. He played beautifully, but only Western/American songs - which felt a little disconnected from the local setting. We would’ve loved even one or two Vietnamese pieces to connect more deeply with the culture. During the spring roll-making demonstration (which was fun, cute, and surprisingly practical to learn how to make them) hygiene could be improved. Only hand sanitizer was used by staff and guests, versus everyone washing their hands and having gloves available for all. That said, overall it was a lovely and memorable experience. A clean, calm, and welcoming cruise that helped us experience Ha Long Bay in a relaxing, effortless way. We’re so glad we did it.

Exceptional service. Beautiful wood boat! Room was so comfortable and well- appointed. Tien took amazing care of us. We were on the Legend, only 3 staterooms so we had it to ourselves. Such a spectacular bucket list experience.

Beautiful 3 day 2 night trip with Bhaya Legend 4. The cabins, dining room and sun deck are amazing. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are delicious. Kevin, the boat manager, took great care of us. The kayaking tour through the caves and lakes was a unique experience. Rest of the staff also extremely friendly. Highly recommended experience when you are in Vietnam

The cruise was fine however was very disappointed with the village trip, this looked like a staged village with restraunts setup by the cruise company. Booked 1 night stay and plan to visit the caves by canoe but the village trip took the afternoon up and due to 1 night stay the only offer to canoe to the caves was at 7:15am. Would have been better time spent in the afternoon canoeing and visiting caves rather than the village and offer village trip next day. Feel.like it's been to commercialised to warrant 5 stars.

My wife and I had an amazing cruise. Transfer to and from our hotel in Hanoï was organised for us, we were on a small 3 cabin boat, in a wooden cabin with all comfort and equipment we needed. The crew spoke English, and were very helpful, especially Phuc, always making sure we were having a nice trip. It was our honeymoon, and we have a couple of surprises waiting for us for the occasion, which we both highly appreciated ! Many thanks again to Bahya Cruises

The Au Co Cruise in Halong Bay offers a modern yacht experience with top-notch services and professional staff. It's conveniently located just 2.5 hours from Hanoi, accessible by limousine buses. The cruise features 35 spacious luxurious cabins with modern amenities, private sun terraces, and bathtubs in each room.
Au Cô cruise was definitely one of the nicer cruise ships in the bay! We were so happy we went with this cruise - all of the staff was so friendly and attentive and the ship was very well maintained. The views were absolutely stunning and majestic. Not a lot of wifi but you shouldn’t need it anyway !! The schedule of activities was a perfect balance of staying busy while also having time to relax. We went bike riding, had a cooking class, enjoyed happy hour at sunset, morning kayaking and stopped at a beach. My husband did the night squid fishing and caught a squid. We had a deluxe room near the front and the room was more spacious - highly recommend especially if you have a lot of luggage. Everything was nice and clean. There was a welcome lunch buffet, seated dinner and breakfast buffet. Plenty of food available. They accommodated for vegetarians like myself and other dietary needs. There was made to order options like eggs, noodle soups etc. Loved it and can’t wait to take our friends and family on this cruise next time we’re in Vietnam!

Traveled on the Au Co as part of a large (50+ person) wedding group. Beautiful ship with extremely friendly and caring staff. The best ever experience I got, having a most unforgetable moment journey with this luxury cruise. Everything was perfect. I had the pleasure of being on the Au Co 2 for two nights and tree days in February. Besides the amazing natural beauty, the staff is dedicated to making your stay the highlight of your Vietnam travels. I was a solo traveler, but the crew always made me feel welcomed and important. Tom was an amazing cruise director, and Cindy and Joy were personable and highly professional. I can’t thank Elijah enough for helping me find transport back to Hanoi after discovering my planned transport was not at the port. Treat yourself to a trip of a lifetime by taking the Au Co cruise in Ha Long Bay – you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time on the Au Co. Standout service and incredible value for money. We could not believe the quality of the rooms, food and drinks for such an affordable price. The staff were so friendly, always helpful and would go out of their way to make the trip extra special and memorable. We loved that the company is also doing so much for the local communities and environment. Kevin, Ben, Viking, Iris, June, Ruby, Kevin, Khue, Tiger P, Gin, David, Mahn, Ngyu thank you to you and your teams for making our trip so wonderful.

Lan Ha Bay

Bodies of Water
Lan Ha Bay is a stunning destination in Vietnam, located to the east and south of Cat Ba Town. It boasts over 300 karst islets and smooth white-sand beaches, offering a serene and secluded atmosphere for visitors. Unlike its famous neighbor Halong Bay, Lan Ha Bay sees fewer tourist boats, allowing for a more isolated and authentic experience. Travelers can explore the marine life, including seals, dolphins, fish, and coral reefs while experiencing the local way of life.
This destination is a true gem, with island hills that look like they’re straight out of a postcard, offering scenic hikes for those who enjoy a bit of adventure. The gentle cruise ride is a lovely way to soak in the views, with stops at fascinating caves that add a unique touch to the experience. The highlight is definitely the sunset – watching it from the top deck is simply breathtaking and makes for the perfect photo opportunity. It’s one of those rare moments where nature’s beauty truly stuns. However, a few aspects may not appeal to everyone. The location has become quite popular, so expect crowds, especially at peak times. The beaches are beautiful but can feel packed with tourists, which slightly detracts from the natural vibe. Additionally, if you’re staying on a cruise overnight, be prepared for a lively rooftop scene. While some may enjoy the music and social atmosphere, it can be noisy for those looking to relax and unwind. Despite the crowds and noise, the experience of cruising through these beautiful landscapes, exploring caves, and watching an unforgettable sunset makes it all worthwhile. If you’re open to the bustling energy of other travelers, this place offers an amazing island adventure.

Super cool experience! The scenic views were amazing and super beautiful. It’s crazy to see how vast and big this bay is. It really tops the pictures and videos you see. It’s like King Kong was about to pop over the side hahah. But overall it was super peaceful the water was cold when we went but not terrible if you want a refreshing dip. It was very clean and taken care of where we went. I definitely recommend checking it out if you want to.
Luc D — Google review
After boarding; a safety briefing; and lunch, we head off to Lan Ha Bay (at the south of the Halong Bay maritime national park area), where we visit the “Dark and Bright Cave” via local bamboo boat. Must admit though … as caves go, I have seen better.

Best experience ever in Vietnam! Our tour guide, Tony, was incredibly kind. The food was absolutely delicious, and we made so many new friends from Europe. After dinner, we had a fun karaoke party, tried squid fishing, and even learned how to make spring rolls. The highlight of the trip was definitely kayaking—the area was peaceful and less crowded. The biking adventure the next day on Cat Ba Island was equally amazing. The scenery was breathtaking. 100000/5 stars! Thanks to Sunlight Cruise

Must visit! Amazing natural space definitely needed to be seen when coming to the north of Vietnam. Unfortunately the level of rubbish in the water is pretty shocking and I definitely thought that we treat ourselves with a very big cruise which is the end is one of the few options available to visit the sea. If you can avoid an old-style
Rafael G — Google review
It’s definitely a must see and the view over the bay on our beautiful luxury ship was a real treat- BUT I was shocked about the rubbish floating around and the murky water. Why is nobody taking care of the so promoted unesco world heritage nature wonder??? Please do something about it. Would NEVER swim in it. Kayaking was nice but I worried to get sick just by touching the waters. Shame

Amazing experience in my life time . Thanks for preserving it . Enjoyed each and every moment starting from yatch cruise , swimming , banana boat ride

Visitors can explore World War II-era underground tunnels and other tourist attractions such as bunkers and gun emplacements nearby.
5 star for price. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Laid back hotel. The simple breakfast is enough to kickstart your day. Clean rooms. Shower is combined with toilet so expect a wet floor in there, normal for small hotels. Good location.
Alan G — Google review
Good people, very friendly and helpful. In the morning there is not often someone at the desk as they are preparing food for breakfast. You have different options for breakfast. 4 egg options and 1 pancake option. Due to some problems we decided to stay longer and that was no problem. Our laundry didn't feel properly done though as it felt like a lot of softener was used but no stains were really removed. Other downside was that the elevator didn't work for 2 times/days. But there was construction going on next door so I think that was the problem. All in all good nice hotel.

Service was amazing! Breakfast was very simple, just eggs or an average pancake. Location was great! Rooms were clean, door didn't close properly for the private bathroom but that didn't bother us much. Was very happy here

The price for hotel was very affordable so we couldn’t expect a great service. We were surprised . The room was very clean. The staff so helpful and friendly! The breakfast was simple but delicious! Thank you very much ❤️ Happy Independence Day 🇻🇳

Rather overpriced. Photos look much better. This is a very basic room worth 10$ not 20$+ We saw they used to have a great breakfast... But reading the other reviews they have changed it after Covid. It was a disaster. We decided to skip the breakfast the following days. They send you to the neighbour hotel. It is the most horrible buffet we had in Vietnam. Consisting of just some toast and awful soup. Owner seems to do some drill where he offers to help whenever we need, but this all seems fake.
Rob D — Google review
This is such a nice little hotel. My wife and I stayed four nights in a double room with very spacious beds and everything was super clean. The breakfast was nice. The cheese and ham omelette can be recommended. The people who run the hotel are also really sweet. They helped us rent a scooter and extend our stay with two more nights. This place is such good value. The only downside is that the rooms are not that well sound isolated within the building, but it does a pretty good job keeping the noise from outside away. And the hotel is nicely located a bit away from the main street.
Daniel H — Google review
Stayed here for three nights in a private room. The location was really good and the staff were mostly helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, no complaints at all there. Price was very decent. The negatives for me was that the hotel lacked a bit of personality, which is why I don't give it the highest grade. This is maybe something that not every traveler seeks, but personally I enjoy a hotel with charisma and a good vibe, and here it was a little bit stale unfortunately.
Lukas F — Google review
Amazing quality for a great price. Been traveling Southeast Asia for two months now and this is one of the more memorable hotels. Good location. Very clean. Quiet. Huge beds. Delicious breakfast. I came with my friend for her bday and the staff helped me arrange to put a birthday cake and champagne in her room (which I paid a little extra for) but then they also got her a beautiful bouquet of flowers which made the room smell so good.
