I love Spring Bank Garden. One side has a free Wading pool that opens at the end of June and also a beautiful play structure for kids to run back and forth from the pool. Park has a nice soccer field. The other side has a story book garden where u get a ticket to go in and enjoy a fairytale garden with a beautiful splash-pad and a mini water slide. The park has bar b Q stoves that u have to book in advance as told by a worker there.

Beautiful weekend, park and trails were full of bikers, joggers, walkers, people with thier fur babies. We traveled with our RV., and stopped to have a barbq. Park is well groomed and maintained to perfection. A must spot to stop and enjoy the day with your family.
this is a great Park to bring your kids to. There is a very current up-to-date climbing equipment along with a splash pad. The Pats are well maintained although they can get busy at times. The smell of the river isn't that bad if you stay far enough away. There are ample public washrooms that are extremely clean and well-maintained.
The park is spectacular right now with a superb display of blooming spring flowers and giant blossoming trees. Bring the family and friends for some magnificent photo opportunities. A walk through the Graham Arboretum section will definitely put a smile on your faces. There are about 20 kms of paved multi- purpose trails with some parking immediately adjacent to the paths which makes this one of the most accessible parks in London. The signage is clearly marked and it provides excellent information about the nearest public restrooms, picnic areas, and attractions. The long bridge across the Thames River offers wonderful views and beautiful photo opportunities. The ancient willow trees along the shoreline pathway are fantastic. There is a long staircase from the upper parking lot off of Springbank Drive but the lower park can also be accessed by the paved roadway at the end of the parking area.

Good for walking around the park! It's more like a park for nature sightseeing, so most people come here for picnics and relaxation. I got to see a lot of squirrels as well. The squirrels were really friendly (they even stood up to greet me as well).
Very nice park. In the fall, a variety of colors. The river I think is suitable for rafting, the current is decent. Ducks and geese walking on all lawns and paths leave a lot of surprises))) it's a little uncomfortable. .the child liked it, a large area for running and walking. There are many barbecue areas.
Excellent playground with lots of things for the kids to do. Great paved pathway throughout the park, lots of wildlife to see. The wading pool is about 2 feet deep in the middle and it's amazing for kids of all ages. Hours of fun!

We absolutely loved our visit to **Pinafore Park**! It was the perfect spot for a fun and relaxing day out with my wife and son. The park is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery, scenic walking paths, and plenty of space for kids to run around and explore.
Our son had a blast at the playground, which was clean, safe, and full of fun equipment to keep him entertained. We enjoyed a lovely day by the water, watching the ducks and taking in the peaceful atmosphere. The splash pad was also a huge hit—perfect for cooling off on a warm day!
What really stood out was how well-kept and family-friendly the entire park was. There were clean restrooms and ample seating.
Whether you're looking for a place to unwind, play, or just enjoy nature, Pinafore Park is a fantastic choice. We’ll definitely be back soon! Highly recommend for families!🌳👨👩👦💙

We were on the lookout for a perfect spot to have a BBQ, where the kids could run around, and we stumbled upon Pinafore Park by chance. It turned out to be an amazing discovery! The park is absolutely beautiful and so well-kept. There's a fantastic playground packed with fun things for the kids to play on, plus some spacious pavilions where we could enjoy a picnic and relax. We ended up taking lots of gorgeous photos amidst the colorful flowers and stunning scenery. We can’t wait to visit again!

one of those classic, beautifully maintained community parks that has a little something for everyone. It’s large, with paved walking paths, ponds, gardens, picnic areas, and a great playground for kids. The flower beds are always well cared for, and there’s even a band shell for summer concerts. Parking is free and plentiful, and the washrooms are clean and open during the warmer months. The walking trails loop nicely through shaded areas and open lawns, making it great for both exercise and relaxation. There’s also a small splash pad and lots of benches for just sitting and enjoying the view. It’s family-friendly, peaceful, and feels safe at all hours of the day. Perfect for an afternoon picnic or an easy weekend stroll.

Very good park in St. Thomas, there is a lake I'm the park in which you fish in, and also a water fall. The park isn't very big but has a lot to see.

The Avon Theatre, part of the Stratford Festival, is a historic venue with a classic proscenium stage for plays, musicals, and concerts. Situated along Downie Street, it originally opened as an opera house in 1900. The theatre boasts a charming atmosphere and is well-maintained despite its age. Visitors can also spot Justin Bieber's star outside the theatre where he used to busk before becoming famous.
Saw Anne of Green Gables this past weekend. The interpretation was incredible; keeping in line with the main story but adding a new, modern twist. As well, there were lots of comedic and heartfelt moments. The acting was brilliant and the set perfectly done to reflect each time period. The Avon Theatre is a beautiful theatre, with comfortable seating, washroom facilities that were plentiful and moved quickly. There is also a good-size shop onsite if you are looking for show merchandise.

The Avon Theatre in Stratford is a charming venue, with a classic look on the outside and a comfortable, welcoming feel inside. The seats are fairly comfortable with the sound and lighting being usually excellent.
The location is great too — right in the heart of Stratford, close to shops, cafes, and parking. The staff are friendly and helpful.
One thing to note is that the seating can feel a bit tight if the theatre is full, especially in the older sections, as was my case when I went to watch Macbeth there recently. Also, some of the best seats tend to sell out quickly, so it's a good idea to book in advance.
Overall, the Avon Theatre is a nice place to enjoy live performances, especially as part of the Stratford Festival.

The Stratford Shakespeare Festival was launched in 1952 by Tom Patterson, a local journalist. Today, it has grown into one of Canada’s most popular cultural events. His vision was to bring Shakespeare's works to life in the town of Stratford, Ontario, a location that shared its name with the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon, England.
At the time, Stratford was a small town, but Patterson believed that bringing Shakespeare’s works to the town could not only elevate its cultural profile but also serve as an economic boost, drawing tourists from around the world. The idea was somewhat ambitious, given that Stratford was not known for its theater scene at that time.
Patterson's vision eventually gained support from several key figures, with local residents rallying behind the project.
We watched a beautiful reproduction of the Anne of the green Gables in Avon theatre in downtown Stratford. The venue is great with a beautiful layout. The production was also amazing. Strongly recommend watching Anne of the Green Gables.
First time seeing a show here. Seats I picked were wrong for a tall person like me. Avoid seats over a doorway with a ledge, very tight. Beautiful theater, very nice staff
Came here for the first time and experienced the Anne of Green Gables play. To me it was just ok.
Our first impression of going to Stratford was a pain because this city doesn't have enough parking for the theatres so we spent 20 minutes looking for parking with every lot full. Then rushed to arrive on time.
Small issue: this venue lacks having enough washrooms for the amount of people during the 15 minute break.
The play itself was mediocre. The actors/actresses were tremendous but this was a very liberal twist on the story of Anne of Green Gables. They added a gay character. Took a shot at the current USA VP. Among some other things I won't mention. To me, politics should stay out of plays unless it's necessary. The story lacked authenticity in the second hour and I wish I just left at half and explored Stratford.

Saw Macbeth and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels playing here this season. Superb.
All the theatres in Stratford are excellent, with the Avon being no exception. Comfortable seating. Recommend coming here for top quality theatre.
We watched anne of green gables. Loved the production and set. Well executed. The theater is cozy and everything is well managed.
We came to see Macbeth and I don't think I've ever seen a show with better stagecrafting! The theater was lovely, with a really nice shop and a concession area where you could pre-order for intermission! What a great idea!
We'll definitely be back again!

The Tom Patterson Theatre, part of the renowned Stratford Festival, is a contemporary gem that offers an intimate experience with its unique thrust stage design. Visitors can explore public areas such as the inviting lobby and charming café without needing tickets, but to access the theatre itself for shows or workshops, tickets are required.
The acoustics, stage lighting and effects were amazing. The theatre is beautiful. The only complaint that I have was that because of the remote location by the river, it is difficult for seniors with mobility issues to have a choice of places to eat. Therefore the theatre’s restaurant has a monopoly on food and was over priced.

Amazing venue designed for stage plays! The staff, architecture, washrooms and maintenance were all excellent. The food and drinks at the cafeteria could have had more variety though.
We went to see Ransacking Troy, and I was blown away. And not just by the play, but by the theater as well. A beautiful building inside and out, with a store, dining and bar areas and not a single bad seat in the whole house.
I will definitely be coming back!

Incredible theatre built in 2020. Modern amenities, brilliant architecture, exquisite staging, lighting, and stagecraft. We saw two plays here (The Winter's Tale and Forgiveness) and both were extremely well done and enhanced by their presentation at Tom Patterson Theatre.
A very nice, modern theatre. The stage forms a narrow peninsula surrounded by the audience. This makes for a very different experience.
An amazing experience in a beautiful, light filled and airy theatre. The common spaces never felt crowded. You can see the river from wherever you are in the lobby. There were an ample number of washrooms and no queues.
The theatre space is lovely and seats were velvety and comfortable.
Be sure you enjoy the outdoor patio and the adjacent garden.

Pretty awesome park overall. There are lots of geese and ducks that are friendly, too. Designated baseball and soccer fields, lots of benches, and gazebos. Good parking and a skate park as well. Overall, it's the best city park I've been to.

Lovely park, very large. Lots of baseball fields, skate park, memorial garden, decent river running through and waterfowl, splash pad and playground. They hold lots of special events, and July 1st is a great time!
However, there is almost no parking for the size. Most of us park on the grass beside the roads, and create parking spots under trees. And parking on the streets outside the park is difficult. It would be great to have better parking.
I have visited first time loved it the most, must visit Park nice flowers, trees & rock fountain i like the most. Lake and water fall also best location for all in summer 😘
This is a beautiful park. The park encompasses so much you could spend a day relaxing there. You must watch where you step closer to the river as there are many Canadian Geese and Seagulls there, lol. Definitely don't let it stop you from visiting. I am not from the area but would go just to have a nice day!
Quiet and spacious park to visit. This spot is perfect if you want to have a more low-key area with amazing views. There was an interesting amount of things to see such as the ducks and geese, the small lake and the waterfall rock.

Nice park. Always full of kids easy for children to play with one another. Just watch out for that rolly slide as it has left marks on kids legs and looks like it could possibly pinch fingers. A lot of different activities for all ages even for the younger ones. Has a shaded picnic area with tables. Baseball diamond. Restroom area. Has a pond area as well and floral area with a mini rock water fall.
Beautiful park that sprawls over a large area of land. There are several sections to it that, at first glance don't seem connected but are! There is a large pond with many geese, a stream that branches off into quiet spaces with lots of grassy areas and trees, a park for children, a skate park, paved walking areas, pavilions for gatherings, gardens, and more.

"One Of A Kind Antiques & Collectibles" is a three-floor antique mall located in the former Harvey Woods garment factory. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the merchandise, with Bailey on the first floor being particularly helpful. Visitors are advised to take their time exploring as there are treasures around every corner, especially on the second floor where incredible deals can be found at booths 987. It's recommended to visit on a cool day and be prepared to spend hours browsing through the unique finds.
Be prepared, you need an entire day to fully absorb this mall, it's absolutely enormous. The staff are so friendly and have so much energy. You have the option to take a basket or hand off items to staff to have held behind the front counter, leaving you free to shop with both hands. The three levels are absolutely full, hidden gems everywhere.

The staff were so incredibly friendly and helped me take down any heavy items I had to be brought to the front desk to wait for me. Some items were way overpriced. I found that particular to that particular vendor and nothing actually wrong with 95% of the other vendors. I will be back and with a bigger amount of money that I can spend.

This place is as much a market as it is a giant time machine. Prices are very reasonable and the variety and scope of items is huge. You will see things here that you haven't seen since you were 6 years old. The staff regularly walk the aisles ready to assist.
Checked this place out yesterday after seeing it advertised all over social media. I would highly recommend going when you have several hours free. I didn’t even get half way through it and was there for 3 hours. So many things to look at and see! This place has a little bit of everything! It unfortunately isn’t handicapped accessible for anyone not able to use stairs.

As it is a consignment place, there is no owner to negotiate with, so the price on it is what you pay. I wish the owners would reevaluate their prices when something hasn’t sold in a year’s time. Might mean you priced it too high right? Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I like to go once every 3 months or so, so that I have a better chance of seeing something I hadn’t seen previously. In closing, you will need a few hours to take in the entire place, which I do recommend you do. Best antique store around.

Today my wife and I went for lunch at Ramblin' Road Brewery Farm.
This was my first visit to the brew farm. Thank you to a lot of you posting about their food. Mark Williams for giving me his insight on the food and beer, and Daniel Eynon for his insight from a business stand point why he supports them.
I would also like to give a special thank you to our server Brooklyn. She was an absolute pleasure. Skilled, knowledgeable and efficient. She really helped make our overall experience even more wonderful.
My wife and I started with a flight, wings, onion ring and their house chips and dip. I had the flight as she was driving and I wanted to try and see if I even can handle the taste of beer or not (I prefer whiskey, scotch, dark rum). Brooklyn helped me pick out a selection to try based on my non existent knowledge and likeness of beer lol. She however helped me learn the parts of beer I don't like and recommended 6 samples to try based off of that. I tasted a sip of each beer. Ranked them in order and by the time I was done my meal there. I had finished 5 out of 6 of the samples. The red was the only one I didn't finish.
The wings were crispy and tender. Their house mild sauce made with beer(Roost PurebRED BBQ sauce). was flavourful with smokey notes that weren't overpowering. Everything was well balanced and I wish I ordered more. The onion rings were spot on. They're what I want when ordering an onion ring. The Chips & Dip..... Now listen. I have smashed metric tons of chips and dip in my life time. When I tell you to try the chip dip there. I mean bribe them for extra and thank me later. If I find this on a store shelf. All other brands are done. I want vats of that dip. On top of having one of the best kettle cooked chips on the market. This dip joins forces. Lays and Ruffles better watch their backs. Norfolk's very own is coming out swinging. Oh and if you have any extra dip you don't want. I'll gladly take it off your hands.
For our main. We tried a pepperoni pizza, the grilled cheese of the day, soup of the day, beer bread, Red Pepper Express Burger and Ragin Bull corned beef on a bun.
My wife loves red pepper jelly. So this burger was her first choice. She let me have a bite. It's a solid well rounded burger. Balance of flavours and textures and my wife had dill pickle seasoned fries with it. She was in her glory. I tried the Ragin Bull. This sandwich from reading it gave off some Katz Deli(New York) vibes. This definitely had that traditional NY deli corned beef sandwich soul to it. I got mine with dijon mustard on it and was very happy. This was not what you might remember growing up. The soup of the day was cream of mushroom soup. I paired it with an order of the beer bread. ate what I could of it as by this time I was getting full. The Grilled cheese was mind blowing. The balance of apple butter with, chicken, bacon, brie, caramelized onion and balsamic vinegar. This needs to be a permanent menu item. Then I managed to try a slice of pizza. I can't do it the justice it deserves as by this time I was so full. I drank beer I didn't know I would like and wish I had 2 more stomachs to try more food and beer lol. But that slice was good. If I ordered beer and pizza while sitting there with friends. That pizza would hit the spot for sure.
I also had to hit up the store there as well. Had to get more chips, peanuts and some apparel to wear and represent as many great local businesses as I can.

Usually, this place is awesome, and i have always been a happy customer, but unfortunately, today was extremely disappointing. Was really looking forward to having a chicken burger, but the cook was way off or not feeling it today because the burger was pathetic. Hopefully, they step it up, I did really like this place, but after today, I'm not sure if I will return.
A great brewery with a restaurant upstairs. The food was delicious with lots of menu choices. Some very tasty beer and flight availability. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bonanza was playing on the TV as it had an old western theme. It was very quiet and some subtle (not country) music would be create a nicer atmosphere.
The burgers, beer, and seltzer were great. The burger was cooked perfectly! On the other hand, the corned beef sandwich was very dry and overcooked. Once seated, it took our server 15 minutes to bring over well as take our drink order. Once we placed our lunch order, it took over an hour to receive our meal. I had to look for someone inside to ask if our order was coming anytime soon.
Overall, the burger was great, and we really enjoyed the seltzer. We even bought a few to bring home. The service was very poor on that particular date.
Well worth the drive to the DELHI area through lovely farmlands and RAMBLIN' ROAD is a great reward for your efforts.
Great selection of craft beers and a well-stocked store on the lower level. A small but great restaurant called THE ROOST on the second floor.
Patio areas outside in the good weather but the restaurant is open all year and serving some GREAT food at very reasonable prices.
Their GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH is delicious and melty, the CHICKEN BURGER SPECIAL and the SWISS MELT BURGER were meaty, hearty and looked and tasted homemade.
A VERY popular spot and filled up at lunch with many locals so this is definitely a good spot.
Hours change during these shoulder/off seasons so check their website or phone to confirm hours so as not to be disappointed.
This is a wonderful place to go. Great staff and food. The brew is way above average. Will come again.
Ramblin road Brewery is amazing. Had the opportunity to meet Hayley who provided us such a knowledgeable experience. The chip dip is next level. The beer is amazing and I learned so much from Hayley and the crew at Ramblin Road. Highly recommend and would tell anyone to stop by and take the time to learn about the brewery and process. Amazing experience and a great group of people working there. 10/10.

St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is a cozy and well-sized theatre located in the southwest of the province. The lobby features a bar and can accommodate most guests, while volunteers help you find your comfortable seats, which offer great sightlines and perfect sound. The parking lot is spacious, and the tickets are reasonably priced for the quality of performances offered.
I recently saw Misery at St. Jacob’s Playhouse and really enjoyed it! The acoustics were excellent, and the intimate size of the theatre means there isn’t a bad seat in the house. I was especially impressed by the clever set design. The way they created the different rooms of the house was so well done. It was also really crafty how they managed Paul’s movement around the stage in his wheelchair during the scenes.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more shows here. If you want to escape the chaos of heading into Toronto and avoid the overpriced tickets of most Mirvish shows, St. Jacob’s Playhouse is a fantastic alternative - great performances, reasonable prices, and a charming local atmosphere.

We had a great time watching liars at a funeral play!!! The building itself is so cute and clean on the outside and rustic and abin like on the inside. Theres a bar with snacks and beverages a bit pricey but expected. The theatre area was smaller than i expected very cozy and stage was probably easy to see everywhere. Nice, cozy little theatre. We've seen several Drayton productions there and they're always amazingly well done. My only caveat is not to buy front row tickets unless you're really tall as the stage is quite high up.
I’ve seen many, many performances here over the years and it is still my favourite venue to watch a show in. The theatre is the perfect size to feel like you’re a part of something really special and connected to the actors on stage. The stories chosen to be told are always something that gets conversations going and promotes sharing.
This is a very good theater. Well laid out, plenty of parking available. Drinks purchased on-site are allowed in the seating area.
We normally select Loges seating.
There are a variety of Drayton Entertainment productions. All are excellent.
Looking forward to the 2026 Season.

Saw Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hamilton last week. Situated in an revitalized section of Cambridge next to the Grand River. Lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. Theatre could hold just over 500 patrons, and was sold out for this show. Great performances and ice cream at the intermission. Will ansolutely visit again.

We went to see Ali Hassan’s comedy show at the Hamilton Family Theatre and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. The seating was comfortable with a great view from every spot. Perfect venue for a night of laughs and entertainment!

Port Dover Lighthouse, built in 1904 to replace an earlier structure, is a simple white-painted wooden building with a square iron lantern. It previously had a hand-operated foghorn but now has an automatic one activated by ships. The bustling pier is popular for fishing, especially for the local Lake Erie Perch. I recently visited the town of Port Dover, Ontario, and I have to say the natural scenery and attractions there are truly stunning. The historic lighthouse and scenic riverside walks were an absolute delight. The views of Lake Erie and the surrounding landscape were breathtaking.

Its a small beach which is a great spot for swimming. It is a beach to swim at your own risk. The water seems to be moderate clean and is not survillienced by sea divers. Not a steep shallow beach so swim can be enjoyed with care. Kid friendly. Have a number of tikki bars along the shores. A great number of Restaurants along the entrance. Has paid parking space and crowded during peak holidays.
The water isn’t the cleanest, but people were still enjoying swimming and playing in it.
It gets quite crowded on Saturdays and Sundays, so be prepared for lots of people. Parking can be a bit challenging to find, but I found a spot for $4 per hour in a municipal lot about a 4–5 minute walk from the beach.
This is a nice artificial beach by Lake Erie in Port Dover city. The beach is not big, but it has enough space for the fun and relaxing time you want. You can play volleyball on the beach. Also, you can have your boat in the lake. The water is clean, but you may find some algae by the shore. There are many local restaurants around the beach area that you may try. This is a fabulous tourist spot. I would definitely recommend this place for visiting.

The only beach in ontario with Palm tree around. there is a huge beach side restaurant with lovely view of lake & lighthouse. Walk till the end of the pier and lighthouse. you will see USA skyline in case it is a bright day. The newly constrcted beach area is more spacious and with more amenities.
Great beach I love riding the nearby Rail Trail and then having a great meal and take in the beach.

just visited the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph, and it was seriously impressive! I'm always on the lookout for stunning landmarks, and this one definitely delivered.
Inside, it's so peaceful and beautiful. The light streaming through the colorful stained glass windows was magical. You can really feel the history and the importance of the place. It's the kind of place that makes you stop and just take it all in.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in Guelph. It's easy to find, and wandering around inside is a great way to spend some time. It gives you a real sense of the city's character and history.

This is one of my favorite historic site in Ontario. inside and out are so stunning, well detailed. Though I not visiting church like other Christian I would say I will be regular here if I am living in this area. So beautiful, if you see the interior of the church you definitely be in 'awe' moment.
I visited the BASILICA OF OUR LADY IMMACULATE today, which is in Guelph. It was a half an hour drive from my place in Waterloo and I have been wanting to visit the Bascillica for the longest time ever. Although the website said the Basilica closes at 3 pm, we were able to visit and pray in peace when we reached there at 3:30 pm. The place has a very calm and soothing vibe, it's very peaceful and beautiful. I spent around 20 minutes there talking to GOD. And then witnessed the amazing architecture. One should visit the Bascillica if they need a break from the busy world and want some peace and time to talk to GOD.
Don't forget your 3 wishes if you're visiting the Bascillica for the first time. 🤭
Beautiful basilica! I love coming here during the weekdays, with no one around to calm my mind in thoughtful prayer. I’m in absolute awe with the artistic intricacy and architecture, both interior and exterior. The stain glass windows come to life as the sun shines through it. Beautiful all year round.
Was here for a wedding and I have to say the place is immaculate, the intricate details, the paintings, the stain glass. I mean it was was just amazing to behold. The ceremony was flawless, and the sound when the organ played...wow, highly reccomend a visit

We had an amazing Thursday afternoon at the Twin valley zoo in Brantford. I honestly wasn’t expecting much when we initially decided to visit. I assumed it would be a few “local” animals in a small area and not much else.
I couldn’t have been more wrong! The zoo was absolutely fantastic and we had such a blast for my daughter second birthday. The animals range from deer, pigs to TIGERS! And Grey Wolves?!?
The animals have huge enclosures and appear to be really well taken care of. The sheer amount and variety of animals was incredible and I can say with complete honesty that we had more fun than we do at the Toronto zoo.
The zoo is family owned and has been for decades, we learned. We had such a lovely day that we fully intent on coming back again soon. It’s just a shame it took my 30 years to find this place!

Excellent collections and easy going for kids. Kids prefer to walk and see for themselves all the animals at their enclosures. Well kept Zoo. Need 3 hrs max to cover all enclosures leisurely.
There’s a nice variety of animals to see, and it’s the perfect size for kids to walk around without getting too tired. The staff were all very friendly and happy to answer questions. You can tell they really care about the animals. A really fun and family-friendly place to spend a few hours!
This is a great little zoo we had a great time seeing all of the animals the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I visited with my two daughters and my granddaughter. My Granddaughter brought her barbie with her. At some point she dropped the Barbie and my daughter's and I didn't notice. However one for the lady staff members remembered it in my granddaughters hand and knew whom it belonged to so she picked it up jumped on a golf cart and began searching for us.....she found us and gave it to my granddaughter totally saving the day Thank you so much Twin Valley Zoo and staff for a very beautiful outing with my family.
The Brantford Twin Valley zoo is a great place to visit. The perfect size with a good mix of animals. Bonus for us it was customer appreciation day when we were there so the grandchildren enjoyed face painting, crafts and a bouncy castle as well. Good value.

We had a great family outing to the zoo! It was clean and big enough everywhere for a stroller. There was a fun kids play area and lots of animals to see! The ice cream is also delicious with lots of cool flavors. Parking was free and there was no wait when we went although it was a hot day. We had a really good time and will be back again!
Best zoo for small kids. Has play area as well. Kids can pet Deer, Goat. They have quite few variety of Huge animals Lion, Tiger, Bear. Nice collection of Birds. Lots of trees and be a picnic spot too. My kids loved it.

Great little Gaming hideout on west side of Milton North of Hwy401 on Guelph Line . Good floorspace with on premise live horse racing. Feeling like something different? Go down grab dinner/drinks, watch the races then if you continue to feel lucky grab a beer and play the tables and Slots.... there is plenty!
A racetrack that is very nice! Big grand stands that are glassed in, lots of lights, food hut outside as well as a bar with a good selection of drinks, a small patio area around the food hut to eat at, small smoking section, and lots of picnic tables, chairs and some patio couches.
There is a trackside restaurant, usually you need reservations but they gave us a table in the back we couldnt see the track but they gave us drinks (even doubles, casino wont do that) and took our orders, the food took aome time but when it came it was yummy broccoli soup and the beef brisket with onion rings. It was pricey as expected and the bar tender was our waitress since we were seated so close to the bar, overall it was an ok restaurant it did the job and filled us up..
There were 13 of us who booked an evening out to enjoy the buffet and have some fun with pony betting. Thankfully, we still had a great time together—but now onto the disappointing part.
The food and selection were shockingly poor, far below what you’d expect even at a basic Cuban resort. In fact, the service at a Cuban resort would easily outshine the service we received at Mohawk. For $188.00 for two people (one drink each, plus taxes and a mandatory 18% gratuity), we honestly would have had better quality and variety at a premium restaurant.
The “hot food” options were ham, sliced turkey roll, burnt mashed potatoes, and a mysterious Alfredo something to. We ended up clearing our own plates because our server was nowhere to be found. I guess with an automatic tip added, there’s no incentive to actually provide service.
Not once were we asked about food allergies—something we were asked daily at a resort in Mexico last year. And looking around the buffet area, we noticed how empty it was. Makes us wonder if others already knew to stay away and we just didn’t get the memo.
Come on, Mohawk—this is supposed to be an enjoyable night out. You can do much better.
We went to bet on the horses on Sunday night and had a very fun (and profitable) experience, in big part because of the helpful and cheerful teller. Shoutout to Janet for her enthusiasm and great betting tips!

We came for the $60 buffet which is ridiculously overpriced. Wait staff absolutely sucked. At one point we did not see our waitress for at least an hour. We had to ask for drinks, ask for dishes to be removed, etc. Also, my husband has an allergy to olive oil and the kitchen staff could not advise him which foods contained olive oil. Not even willing to investigate and advise.
To top it off we had to pay an 18% gratuity because there was 13 of us. If there was a zero star rating, that's what I would have rated this place.
I highly recommend the fries. Are good. The sangria was nice too.

First time coming, and I really enjoyed my time there. Full of beautiful historic planes and equipment.
I appreciate the volunteers and people who work there, doing what they do to preserve and maintain these amazing machines and honoring the men and women of the time and what they did.
I look forward to returning on Canada Day when the Lancaster fires up.

Great place to bring kids to, lot of different war time planes to see. There are 2-3 different types of aircrafts where the kids can go in and even sit in the cockpit. Lot of historical information related to specific planes and the role they played during various wars. They have 2 propeller planes which offer the opportunity to fly in them as well. They also have free flight simulators which are a lot of fun. There is a small merchandise shop which is nice. There is ample parking. overall lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Overall must visit place for anyone interested in WWII, Canadian history and aviation history.
Great place to learn about Canada's contribution to the world wars. Minus one star for the aged and disabled who wish to visit the open flight deck but have to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Thanks to all the young and experienced cadets who are really impressive with their product knowledge. The restorers and engineers are doing an amazing job fixing up this rare collection. The Runway cafe is really good value with all the usual fast-food you'd expect. And acknowledgment to the pilots who give their passengers an unforgettable experience
A surprise birthday flight on the C-47 Dakota was a very memorable experience. My original flight was cancelled due to poor weather conditions so I rescheduled the next available date which was Rememberance day. The pilots and other volunteers provided excellent information about the history of the plane. We flew over multiple Rememberance day services during the flight and experienced the excitement of banking into a turn. I've flown many times on commercial and smaller planes to northern communities but this flight will always stand out as unique with the rumbling roar of the piston engines and the bare bones interior. Would highly recommend to any plane enthusiast, a truly unforgettable experience.
Excellent place to visit and see the planes and learn how they were helpful to RCAF in defending sovereignty of our country. Interactive videos of decorated airforce personnel, who are not amongst us but the museum has kept them to see and learn about their lives. Place worth visiting.
We had our wedding here in October 2025. Stevie-Jane couldn’t have been more accommodating and easy to deal with. She communicated everything to us clearly and set expectations appropriately!! The day went as smooth as can be! All of our guests said the venue was so unique and fun! If you’re looking for a unique, and classy wedding venue, this is the place to be!!
What an awesome place. My 13 yr old wants to be a pilot and just being there with him was such a great experience. There was a large group of air cadets when we were there so we could not get a guide, but the self guided tour of the museum was fine.
Would absolutely recommend to any plane enthusiasts and also anyone wanting to see some really neat Canadian history.

The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is more than just a museum – it’s an experience. What I loved most was the hands-on aspect. Unlike many museums where everything is kept behind ropes, here you actually get to climb into cockpits and explore the interiors of some of the aircraft. It felt amazing to sit where real pilots once sat and imagine what it must have been like to fly.
The collection itself is incredible. Each aircraft comes with detailed stories and history. I was especially impressed that many of the planes are still in flying condition — it’s not just a static display, but a living museum.
The museum is also very family-friendly. Kids seemed to love the interactive displays, and adults could spend hours taking in all the history.
Overall, the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum offers more than just a look at planes — it’s an immersive, hands-on experience that connects you to Canada’s aviation history in a very real way.

One of the highlights was the tour of the Longhouses. It was both educational and fascinating to learn about Indigenous history and culture in such an interactive setting. The interpretive signage was informative without being overwhelming.
The visitor center is small but very charming — a great little stop with helpful staff and interesting displays. I also noticed quite a few families enjoying the area, including parents with strollers, so the trails are definitely kid-friendly and accessible.
Highly recommend for a day out in nature with a bit of culture and history added in!

Why visit:
1) This lake is beautiful but more than that it is a geological gem as it is a MEROMICTIC LAKE . Where the water layers in the lake do not mix . Thus helps scientific research to learn about the generations past studying the lake sediments.
2) Great trails around the lake and towards Rattle snake conservation area.
3) You can picnic the whole day here with family.
4) Being a green belt,even during the highest temperatures in the summer,you will get cool breeze and dense forest cover from the intense sunshine.Perfect respite from intense heat.

A real gem. The 1km trail circumventing the lake is iconic. The 2.5 km escarpment trail is also interesting. The part from CL01 to the lookout is slightly difficult with some rock sections but the part from the lookout to CL02 is easy. The visitor centre closes at about 4 pm and so does the access to the washrooms, which is not ideal.( There is another one near the picnic area which is rustic hole-in-the ground). A good place for a summer picnic with friends and family. Would recommend buying tickets online as the gate is not manned till 11.00 am, making it a little complicated. Also cheaper.
Lovely place to roam several trails and boardwalks, around the lake or through the woods, one trail connects to Rattlesnake Point.
Visitors centre has souvenirs and basic snacks with a coffee machine, also plumbed toilets.
The reconstructed village is excellently layed out.
I visited the area in the weekend. I paid online the fees , $10.50 per adult.
I purchased the tickets when I arrived.
We went in three trails. The one I liked was escarpment trail.
The nature is beautiful.
However the washrooms don't have soap and water. I recommend having your hand sanitizer and your toilet paper 🧻.
Well, this is truly an amazing place. I recommend a visit here and a visit to the wildlife care centre while in the area. The walk down to Lake Crawford is similar to a hike down to the Don River in Toronto from south Leaside. It isn’t something I would recommend for elderly or wheelchair individuals. The re-created long houses are really spectacular and harken you back to a time when these were community houses for entire families of indigenous peoples. Pick a sunny day, get in the car and head west. Enjoy

Beautiful, historic place to see. The tour lasted 45-60 minutes and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of this place and the people who lived here along with servants. The tour brings you back into 1830 with 42 rooms, original furniture, pictures and clothing..
Amazing how things were 'done' 200 years ago, before the industrial revolution. The castle was full of servants and everyone knew their duties.

A cool step into the past. Our tour guide Roxanne was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour. So many interesting artifacts to see and a fascinating history.
Tickets also included entry to another military museum at any time, looking forward to checking that one out in the future.
We planned on always visiting but something came up so we decided on that day to just go and we did. We loved it beyond words, from start to finish. The atmosphere was incredible, clean, friendly with the staff always greeting us answering anything we needed. The tour guide was the sweetest person very polite and informative as were the other members inside.
I would highly recommend visiting and taking a tour.
If you’re from Hamilton I would recommend getting your library card to cover the cost.
No issues with parking as there was ample space.
I would suggest taking the tour twice to fully embrace the experience.
Another National Historical Site in the City of Hamilton. Very well-kept and well-maintained grounds. Free entry for those with a Hamilton Library Card. Gift shop available. Decent size parking lot available. Hall rentals available. No free WiFi. Benches around for you to sit and enjoy. There is a playground as well as a coffee shop.
We stopped by Dundurn Castle while driving around and only explored from the outside this time. The grounds were beautiful—we even caught a glimpse of a wedding, which made the visit extra special. The highlight for us was the Kitchen Garden, a large and well-kept space where staff dress in period costumes. It’s a lovely spot for a stroll, and we look forward to coming back to do the full tour another day.
This place has a completely different vibe. It was my first shoot here, and I’m definitely coming back for more. A true photographer’s heaven — stunning architecture, diverse backdrops, serene water, and lush greenery all in one spot.
What a beautiful historic castle. Beautifully decorated and set up. Taking the tour was well worth it, our guide was a wealth of information. We very much enjoyed our visit.
Even just seeing Dundurn Castle from the outside was worth the trip! The architecture is stunning, and the grounds offer amazing views that make you stop and stare 😍. It’s easy to imagine how grand life must have been living here back in the day—like stepping into a history book, only with fresh air and geese for company 🦆. Next time I’ll definitely go inside, but for now the exterior alone gets 5 stars!

Such a beautiful place. Its far from us, but we went for the fall pumpkin trail and it was a wonderful night. Everyone we spoke to there was also so kind. Its like stepping out of thrle harshness of the world and letting this beautiful place refill your heart with joy.
Went here during day time for the pumpkin display. Beautiful decorated. Although most activities are closed for the day time and there isn't much food options, the display was nice to walk through and take photos.

One of my favorite places in Ontario! I’ve visited during summer, spring, and fall, and each season is stunning in its own way. The gardens are beautifully maintained, with peaceful walking trails and scenic spots for photos. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and there’s even a nice café for a quick break. A perfect spot for nature lovers, families, or anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors.
Very beautiful w a waterfall, reflection pool, gazebo however there seemed to be a lot of weeds and various sections were closed for a $17.00 ticket. That was a bit surprising. But overall we got some beautiful photos.
Words cannot describe how beautiful this complex is… combination of Mediterranean Greenhouse, with a nice collection of indoor decorative unique plants and European style outdoor gardens perfect for romantic occasions like weddings, it’s just walking distance from jungle where you can find wild life such as snakes, chipmunks, frogs and even bluejay!!!

What a view of Lake Erie! The water: clear, calm, and vast. Fossil beach is amazing, you can easily locate a fossil on this rocky beach, a great place for children. The lookout is well maintained and has beautiful views. A good place for families to spend a day on the beach which is covered by pebbles, clean and smooth.
Camping here was just like camping at most Provincial parks. The sites are clean, average sized and well spaced out for privacy. The beach was gorgeous though. We loved exploring on the 'rock point' and finding fossils on it. The water was warm for swimming and plenty of space on the beach to set up for the day and play. The day use beach was the better swimming area. The staff was super helpful when I made a booking boo boo and accommodated us no problem! Will return soon.
We camped at a different park, but visited this park for the day as it was relatively close by. Sites all appeared to be good sizes. Can't remember the trail name but we did the one that took you to the rocks with all the fossils. It was a beautiful day to be down by the water and have a breeze coming off the lake. The fossils are really cool and I think most curious kids, and kids at heart would find this really cool. The trail continues to a stair case and look out, its worth the hike!
I was so impressed with this provincial park. Campsites are very nice and clean. Sites are big enough for small group to play games. The Site we had was having good privacy and washrooms were close enough. Beach of this provincial park is very clean and water is good to swim during hot summer time. Beach is very good for morning walk and trails are decent.
Absolutely gorgeous and seriously underrated national park! So serene and quiet. The campsites are well maintained and so is the comfort station. The store was great and would recommend grabbing a scoop of grammy’s cupboard ice cream! The beach was stunning and the water was awesome! Wear water shoes because it’s rocky/shelly and filled with awesome fossils. Make sure to check out the lookout point too! Biggest recommendation is to watch the sunset at the beach and rise in the morning - absolutely stunning! Definitely a great camping experience for some peace and quiet!
This place is so serene and quiet, even on busy days. Lots of sun and lots of shade. Photos are just of interesting parts that I saw including the rock formations where you can find fossils.

I planned on visiting this park to hike and explore. I knew there wasn't much hiking here but the beach is stunning. I brought my bike and was about to ride around the camp ground paths as others were doing so. To bike the entire park too me around half an houe. There are few fossils located on the beach. They are not hard to locate either. Seems like a hot spot for trailers. Dunville is close by if you need amenities and there is a very large ontario parks store within the park.

We attended the Whiskey weekend and took the tour. A great place and very informative. Bonus was the live music, BBQ, corn hole game, bottle signing, gift shop and the free samples. Definitely going to make this a yearly event. Well worth it.
Tasting experience was great! Taylor was friendly and informative regarding the whiskies and liqueurs offered at the distillery. Online reservation is highly recommended. Pricing is worth it for the tasting!
Forty Creek has been one of my favourite Whisky’s for a while, since the Tariff’s took away Kahlua is no longer obtainable, I decided to try Bolivar’s Coffee Liquor and it is easily a superior product. I always order directly through the distillery and they always get the package to me the next day. This last order was suppose to come with a free 50ml sample of Pickled Vodka that never came in my package, but the shipping is so quick and everything else was right that I don’t really care. The packaging they send the items in is also really nice and ensures the bottles do not ever touch. I hope to get the 3L barrel they sell soon and maybe in the future, get a chance to tour the distillery in Grimsby Ontario.
We had a terrible experience at Forty Creek Distillery after driving roughly 20 minutes out of our way to visit them. The moment we walked in, we were treated like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Despite arriving 30 minutes before closing time, they immediately shut down the tasting option and seemed annoyed when we asked to try just one whiskey. The three girls behind the counter had a negative energy and made us feel unwelcome. We were the only customers in the store after a few others left shortly after our arrival, yet they still couldn't be bothered to provide decent service. We ultimately decided not to purchase a bottle from them and will be looking for another local distillery to support. Overall, I was incredibly disappointed with the service at Forty Creek Distillery and would not recommend them to anyone.
If you are in the area, it needs to be added as a "must" stop. If you aren't in the area, make it a destination!
The variety, service and exceptional offerings are well worth it.

Had a fantastic day at Jack Darling Memorial Park! The free parking is a huge plus, with plenty of spaces even on a busy weekend. The Lake Ontario shore is beautiful, and the fishing scene is lively – tons of people casting lines and having fun. Great for picnics, walks, or just chilling by the water. Highly recommend this vibrant park!
This park is the perfect spot to launch your paddleboard or kayak and enjoy a peaceful sunrise or sunset on the water. It offers convenient amenities like public washrooms, a foot rinse station, and plenty of picnic tables and open space, ideal for a family BBQ or picnic. Just be sure to arrive early; while there is ample parking, it fills up quickly!
The park is pretty, beaches are nice, but it's very crowded on the weekends and we couldn't find space in the parking lots. We saw that many many cars had parked on the right side of the road where there are signs that say parking is forbidden on certain hours and days. The lakefront views are beautiful, and One of the best parts is that the park connects directly to the Rattray Marsh Conservation Area via the waterfront trail, making it perfect for a longer, scenic walk through nature.
It gets busy on weekends, so parking can be tight, but it’s a perfect place to relax or spend time outdoors with family, friends, or your dog.

When visiting Port Colborne, a must-see attraction is the Port Promenade located on West Street. Port Promenade was the best part of our day trip to Port Colborne! The sun was shining and it was warming up a bit on the chilly October day that we went. This is where we got the best view of some really big ships going along the canal ... probably the biggest I've ever seen in my entire life! It appeared they wouldn't make it through the locks, but they did! It was such a nice walk along the water and there were lots of lovely shops lining the street on the opposite side. We ventured into the gift shop and the jewellery store where the workers were very knowledgeable and helpful. It was so nice to sit down in the Adirondack/Muskoka chairs afterwards and just enjoy the peace and tranquility. It was a great way to end a wonderful day! 😊👍💜

Port Colborne is a great place for a day trip. The promenade area is nice to walk, enjoy watching cruise ships on the lake, little cute shops, cafes etc. Later, take a history walk in this town covering areas of friendship trail, old fashioned bridge, downtown, railway marine museum, well land canal etc.
We stumbled onto Port Promenade via TripAdvisor. It's a nice small port with a cool looking bridge (that is remotely controlled). The water is calm and there are plenty of quaint shops along the port/pier. Grab some fish and chips or some small treats and walk along the port.
Port Promenade is a great place to visit in Port Colborne, It was an excellent location to spend and enjoy time with family and friends.

A beautiful old carousel by the lake! The kids had a great time and it felt like stepping back in time for just five cents. Some of the original animals are still there. We also enjoyed the beach. The water was nice and the kids had lots of fun! Only challenge is getting a parking nearby.

The carousel is right by the beach, surrounded by trees and picnic areas, so it’s easy to make a whole family outing of it. The music and hand-carved horses give it a nostalgic feel, and it’s always well maintained thanks to the city and volunteers. Parking is available nearby, and washrooms are close by in the park. It’s busiest on sunny weekends, but the line moves quickly. Whether you’re visiting with kids or just want a bit of old-fashioned fun, this is a must-see stop in Port Dalhousie — timeless, affordable, and full of heart.
This carrousel I believe is the oldest one in the country. It is iconic and a wonderful piece of history still cost only a nickel and it’s situated at Lakeside Park the popular Rush song it talks about Lakeside Park, beautiful beach, and park and a lot of amenities around there from dining to exploring solid five out of five in Port falhousie would highly recommend once you’re finished navigating around the park you can walk the pier to have a great vantage point of some of the best sunsets around. Great place to visit whether you are a local or a tourist.!

The Welland Canal is a ship canal in Ontario, Canada, connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. It forms a key section of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes Waterway. Traversing the Niagara Peninsula from Port Weller in St. Catharines to Port Colborne, it enables ships to ascend and descend the Niagara Escarpment and bypass Niagara Falls. What an incredible place for a hike or especially a bike ride! I’ve done the entire welland in Canal. There are so many different things to see. It’s so wonderful and it’s paved all the way. It’s pretty cool watching the big ships come down the canal.
These canals are always interesting. Such a great idea of moving ships up or down. Nice to walk around when it's not that busy and watch the ships pass.

Our visit to the St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre was an absolute highlight of our trip to explore the area around the Welland Canal and the many communities that it runs through. This place offers an experience that’s equal parts historic, scenic, and totally unique.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, making it a peaceful and inviting spot to wander. But the true showstopper is the canal viewing platform, where we got front-row seats to watch massive ships navigate Lock 3 of the Welland Canal. Watching those vessels rise and lower is nothing short of mesmerizing—a real testament to human engineering and perseverance.
Inside the museum, the exhibits are thoughtfully curated, covering a wide range of topics, from regional heritage to the remarkable history of the canal itself. We especially loved the Lacrosse Hall of Fame, a hidden gem within the museum that celebrates the deep-rooted cultural and sporting significance of Canada’s national summer sport. It's interactive, educational, and gives the game the spotlight it deserves.
Whether you're a history enthusiast, a ship buff, or just looking for a unique stop in Niagara, this spot is a winner. We left feeling inspired, a little more informed, and already talking about a return visit. It was the perfect spot to start our Welland Canal History Road trip.

What a beautiful and interesting place to learn about the history and how the Welland Canal works. It's also an excellent spot to discover and get familiar with one of Canada's national sports: lacrosse. The view of the canal from the observation deck is spectacular, and if you're lucky enough to see a ship in that water lock during your visit, the experience becomes even more impressive. The facility includes clean restrooms, large parking lot, gift shop, audio-visual room, rentable event spaces, picnic tables, an adjacent playground, and a beautiful memorial honoring the many workers who lost their lives over the canal's 200-year history.
The St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre is one of those local gems that beautifully blends history, engineering marvels, and quiet charm. I stopped by on a sunny afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see and learn—especially for a museum that often flies under the radar compared to other Niagara-area attractions.
The museum itself is well-curated, offering a deep dive into the history of St. Catharines and the vital role the Welland Canal played (and still plays) in Canada’s transportation story. I especially enjoyed the exhibits on early shipping, local industry, and the stories of the people who built and lived around the canal.
But the real magic is outside, on the viewing platform. Watching the massive cargo ships pass through Lock 3, right in front of you, is absolutely mesmerizing. You get a true sense of scale and the incredible engineering that goes into canal navigation. It’s great for kids and adults alike—you can spend a peaceful hour just ship-watching.
Your kids can borrow a backpack of explorer. It is free and welcome for donation.
The staff are friendly and informative, and the building is clean and accessible, with plenty of parking. Whether you’re a history buff, an engineering fan, or just curious, this museum is well worth the visit.

It’s an absolute credit to the town and the museum founders/staff/managers to have the foresight and dedication to amass such a wealth of history and their culture from colonial times right up to modern history.
Excellently preserved classic cars, lacrosse history, but the small stuff too e.g. a display in the towns Soap Box derby which ran I. The 60s & 70s.

Best to time your visit to coincide with some of the big ships passing through the canal (check the ship tracking apps/websites) and then check out the museum, all of which is free.
A great place to visit in St Catharines. Completely free though donations are accepted. A history of the Welland canal system and the Ontario Lacrosse museum. There is also a nice little park on site.

If you're looking for a wholesome, relaxing way to spend a few hours, Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm is a must-visit. Nestled along the shores of Lake Ontario, this charming spot offers a mix of nature, history, and animal encounters that’s perfect for all ages.
We were delighted to see a variety of farm animals available for adoption, including cows, horses, donkeys, pigs, and ducks—all well cared for and clearly loved. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about animal care and even consider giving one a forever home.
Beyond the barnyard, we explored the waterfront walking trail, which winds through peaceful greenery and offers beautiful lake views. One of the most moving parts of our visit was the 9/11 Memorial Walk, where trees are dedicated to individuals—many from the local area—who lost their lives in the 2001 attacks. It’s a quiet, reflective space that adds a meaningful layer to the experience.
The grounds are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Whether you're visiting with kids, friends, or just looking for a solo stroll, this place offers a refreshing break from the bustle of everyday life.

Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm – A Family Treasure by the Lake
Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm is such a special place where the love for animals, family time, and nature all come together. It’s both a sanctuary for rescued animals and a welcoming spot for families to relax, play, and connect with the outdoors.
The farm is home to a variety of animals including a deaf pig 🐖, cow 🐄, goats 🐐, sheep 🐑, horses 🐴 (a mother and her baby), ducks 🦆, geese 🪿, and more. Over the years I’ve also seen llamas, chickens, and other animals. It’s heartwarming to know each one has found a safe place here. While dogs aren’t allowed in the animal area, they are welcome on the trails outside, so you can still enjoy a walk with your pup.
The property itself is stunning—tucked into a natural forest 🌳, surrounded by tall old trees and overlooking the lake. It’s the perfect spot for a hike or picnic 🧺 with the whole family. A scenic trail winds past three connected ponds that lead to the lake, home to geese, ducks, and turtles 🐢.
Families with children will especially love the large playground. It’s spacious and well-designed, with swings for babies, bigger kids, and even accessible swings for children with disabilities. There are five different slides 🛝, a tractor 🚜, a boat swing 🛶, and interactive games like loops and hooks. Picnic tables—some shaded—make it easy to enjoy a meal outdoors, and the washrooms are big and clean.
Another unique feature is the lakeside memorial walk, which honors the lives lost on 9/11 with dedicated trees and plaques—a peaceful and meaningful space to sit on the benches and reflect while overlooking the lake.
Parking is never a problem, with plenty of spaces both on-site and nearby street parking.
All in all, Happy Rolph’s is more than just an animal farm—it’s a place where kids can play, families can bond, animals are cared for, and everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature. I’ve been visiting for several years, and it continues to be one of my favorite local spots to return to. This is such a lovely place for the whole family. If you’re just looking for a nice place for a walk, or a place for the kids. This place is truly lovely. I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid and im so glad it’s still here. The whole place is super clean.
Happy Rolphs is truly at the core of family and simple pleasures. Gorgeous walkway and sunset, tons of ducks, turtles, a resident skunk and of course all the little petting zoo animals.
It has a huge playground for kids that looks to be updated annually because all the equipment looks brand new.

An amazing place to stop for a picnic with the family. A small farm animal sanctuary with lots of trails and beautiful views. Very clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly.
It was a great experience at Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm. The animals look nice and healthy. The area with the animals is a little small, but the farm itself and the trails are quite big. There are a lot of geese on the trails, so beware of that. There is a free parking and even on Sunday there were free spaces. Additionally no tickets are needed.
Considering it’s free this is a really nicely done place. The grounds are worth exploring and the 9/11 memorial trail was striking. Make sure you donate while you’re there. Very easy via the QR code. The hook and swing was weirdly addictive.
