Make sure to dress appropriately as there are sections where the marshlands attract a lot of mosquitoes and can become a nuisance if you stay too long.

Went today after not going for a few years. Caught myself saying to my daughter who was 2 when we first went… why did we wait so long to come again (now 9)
We saw SO many birds. 2 bird nests I have never seen before. Hand fed red winged black birds and chickadees with the provided seed $2 a bag. DO NOT BRING your own seed or food for birds. Gift shop is adorable. Picked up some bird colouring books and paint by numbers on our way out. Make a day of it and hit up Emma Leah farms and westham island herb farm on your way home. We will be back soon for some birding !!!! Thanks
Very cool place for bird lovers. Might be hot walking in the sun so recommend bringing umbrellas or hats. Requires parking reservation for the 2 hour stay, on their website.
Saw beautiful herons and little birds are likely to feed off seeds from hands! Very well kept sanctuary considering how many birds live there.
Absolutely love this Sanctuary. There are cranes, ducks, grease, and tons of other birds.
A lot of birds here are very friendly and will eat out of your hand.

Fantastic spot to visit if you have access to a car, absolute gem of a bird sanctuary with knowledgeable staff and community. Worthwhile way to spend an afternoon in the late summer and I can only imagine how incredible it would be to visit in the Spring!
Such a peaceful spot! We saw lots of ducks and even a few sandhill cranes wandering around. Feeding the ducks was a fun highlight. The trails are easy and perfect for a relaxing stroll. Great way to unwind and enjoy nature.

I'm not a bird watcher, but there were certainly plenty to see. They may be a bit too accustomed to humans though lol.
The trails are well maintained and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view or watch the birds along the way. There is a tower and several blinds along the way. There are picnic tables and washrooms near the parking.
It took us about 2 hours to circumnavigate the area and also wander through the middle a bit.
There is plenty of parking, although you do need a reservation. They don't kick you out after your 2 hour block - I think it's just an arrival window - and they are strict on not letting you in before that time starts.
We went during summer and we may return again during another season to see different birds.
We had a great experience at the bird park. Plenty of birds to view. Make sure you carry pumpkin seeds to feed birds - it's a great experience. Also make sure to carry binoculars, a bag pack, lots of water/snacks and be prepared for a beautiful walk around the reef.

The BC Ferries Tsawwassen Terminal offers more than just a gateway to the ocean. Situated on a stunning land spit that extends into the water, it provides a unique vantage point of the surrounding city and sea. Reserving tickets in advance is recommended, especially during peak times like summer weekends. The terminal features comfortable seating, desk cubicles for laptops, and even a shop with quality items.
Got on my ferry to Victoria from here, pretty cool experience. The ride was about an hour and we didn't really buy anything on the ferry like food or merch or anything but it was really fun regardless. The wind at the top of the ferry is something to behold and the engine makes my voice sound all robotic, truly amazing. I do recommend the experience not gonna lie...

Busy, but very efficient ferry dock for BC ferries and others to go to islands, such as Vancouver Island. Little marketplace with food outlets and shopping vendors. It's great to have a bite to eat before docking.
Fantastic way to transport car $80 over from Vancouver to Victoria. On time, nice big clean boat, and with a cafeteria on board. Amazing views throughout the ship of the journey. Attraction in itself. Buy tickets in advance, they do fill up, especially when going with a car.
I was in Vancouver last week and decided to take the ferry to Victoria Island. We purchased ticket ahead of time and arrived with our car. It was a very smooth and fast process, you check in at the toll station and you show your boarding pass. They will assign you a lane and you go to the lane and wait for the boarding process. Surprisingly the process was very fast and efficient. They loaded over 200 cars and truck under 10-15 min. Once inside you can turn off your car and go up in the deck. They have nice sitting area, work stations, coffee shop and you can go outside and enjoy the beautiful view. It was a pleasant experience.
We got there just less than an hour from the next ferry to leave for Victoria. We paid at the entrance booth to the ferry terminal. The price for the car and two people was very reasonable. No need to book ahead. There was no extra charge for making the reservation.
We got the line to go to and we drove there and placed our car next in line. It seems people get out of their cars and go shopping and eating at the enclosed mall. The building was great! Wonderful quality shops and many nice priced places to eat. Then, off to the car and enjoyed our hour and 30 minute trip. The ferry was pleasant and the view was very nice, Great experience!
BC Ferries are well-organized, speedy and clean. Booking our tickets online proved to be a wise decision, as it spared us any delays upon entering the terminal. Our ferry departed on schedule, and the boarding process was smooth and hassle-free. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking in every direction. Regrettably, the prices are notably steep. Nevertheless, the ferry journey itself was a delightful experience. Brace yourself for the wind on the ferry deck. We captured so many pictures. I thoroughly enjoy boarding the ferry at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal.
Arrived 1:10 early and they said do we want to go on the earlier boat, yes please. Restaurant closed on Sunday but vending machines. Boat really smooth and the views are amazing of the little islands to Vancouver Swartz Bay. Tip make your way to the sun terrace at the top it’s the warmest and best views.
I Love the ferry terminal. Washrooms are always clean. Instructions are which line up to get in are clear. I think there is lots to enjoy as a casual user. Just be sure to get a reservation as sometimes the ferry can be very busy and it does get boring to have to wait a sailing or two….

When exploring Stanley Park in Vancouver, the Brockton Point Totem Poles stand out as a captivating highlight. This remarkable collection of intricately carved totem poles, crafted from red cedar, showcases the rich indigenous heritage of British Columbia. Originally established in the 1920s at a different site within the park, these stunning artworks have since been relocated to their current home at Brockton Point, where they continue to draw visitors.
There's a collection of 9 totem poles in this area. Each has a plaque providing details about the pole. Well worth a stop to admire the carvings by indigenous artists and the histories of these poles. They are replicas and replacements of the original totems which are housed in museums for preservation or returned to their places of origin. There's also a Visitor Centre.

Awesome totem poles that are free to view and take pictures. They have a boundary, so no one is permitted to go directly in contact with these statues. As a result, they're well kept and maintained here. There is a parking lot and a gift shop nearby. Lots of warning signs around the area about wild animals. Wide and clear walkways and paths to go on.
It wasn't busy at all when we visited on a weekend afternoon.
I recommend coming to see the Brockton Point Totem pole amongst other landmarks at Stanley park. It makes for a great walk along the coast line to see Vancouver!

A place to walk, chill, make your mind in peace . White rock pier is a place full of positivity , serenity . One can go there and sit for some time and take a small walk on the pier. Enjoy the beauty ,nature,water, seagulls chirping , sea shore sound. There are enormous restaurants where you can eat and see sunset peacefully. Easily accessible by car till that point . Less walk for seniors and kids too . One can easily take small bus too to reach till that point .
My absolute favourite place in Vancouver. The most satisfying walk is walking through the promenade and the pier. This place always has something fun to offer .. be it sea festival or some rockband playing some beautiful music. Best place for families to come and enjoy some fresh breeze

This was our destination when we went ebiking this weekend with my son. The scenery was breathtaking and relaxing. Very nice to visit specially in the early morning where there is less people around.
White Rock Pier is a 470-metre-long (1,540 ft) pier in White Rock, British Columbia. Originally built in 1914, it was a dock for steamships that arrived when the Great Northern Railway began operation. On December 20, 2018, the pier was severely damaged during a wind storm. The pier was repaired and reopened in 2019. 🤍

They really add character to the park . People that live here are really fortunate to have such a beautiful park to access. The lake is magical with the fountain. The parking is free and there are plenty of spaces. I can only imagine how crazy busy this park can be on those summer days.

Lafarge Lake Park is like the central park of our city. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family and friends. A true gem in the heart of the community!
I love taking a stroll around the park especially seeing the changes every season. It’s great that there is something for everyone to do. Two ice cream shops/cafes now. Plus free wifi!
This is the perfect place if you want to feel the Christmas spirit.. the park is beautiful with all the lights and music . We went there with my son and he was fascinated… we all loved ..-and it is free …
Having grown up when Lafarge Lake was little more than a former gravel pit filled with water, I can't help but be impressed by the fantastic job the City has done with this park. Loads of amenities and plenty of room to wander, play, explore, and relax. Always a lovely visit!
A great big park for everyone. Lots of sport fields, playground, large big lawn, a big lake.
It's very popular for the lafarge Lake lights Festival in Christmas.
It also holds a lot of summer events too. The big stage by the lake is good for concerts and shows.
The flat trail around the lake is good for a walk. Lots of parking is good for all events. But it will be not enough washroom when the events take place, more washrooms are really important too.
There are also with a electrical scooter station in the park. It has free wifi.
Our family's one of the most favorite places for walk and outdoor play. I had taken my younger daughter there, when she was younger to play at the playground or in the spray park, now I take my grandchildren there. We enjoy each year the Christmas Decoration. Today, we walked in the beautiful garden, which had never been that beautiful before.
An extraordinary and amazing park in downtown of Coquitlam.
This park is really enjoyable, with many different things and spots to visit. There are soccer fields, basketball, volleyball, water park, tennis court, baseball field, a huge and official running field, so many things.
Large parking lot, public washrooms, some places to eat and do small snacks, spaces for a BBQ.
For who likes run or walking, there are a lot of places to do around the park.
I really recommend this place.

This is just a marvel to watch. The place has been preserved and takes to actual historic times.
There's a small café that serves excellent summer beverages.
We spent around 5 hours, still felt it's not enough to explore the whole place.
We absolutely enjoyed this space during our visit. Staff was friendly, helpful and the space was immaculate. And excellent way to spend a day out with the family. And I absolutely LOVED this café, I wish all Vancouver Cafés would start serving this level of healing yumminess.
Intricate stories at every stop provide a welcoming atmosphere for even the faintest of history buffs. Each building is a place bringing back a time in Canada's history in a fun, at times interactive way. Lots to see in every corner. Pull the handle on boxes to be surprised by artifacts. See what Blacksmiths, Traders, Stewards and many others used to do in a time far from the present. Live demonstrations and friendly interpreters make the experience immersive.
Visiting Fort Langley felt like traveling back in time. The well-kept historic site has interesting exhibits and helpful guides. It's a great place for history lovers and families.

Nice to visit here!!! But you definitely need to bring your own car here!!! 🚗🚙🚘🚖 (If you want to hike this mountain!!!) and please do not visit there till autumn - early summer!!! One of my favourite Park. This park is huge. They have a lot of entrances. Some on the left some on right. There are forest, river, big lake, small peace lake, mountains… in the park. Make sure come earlier as so many things to do and see. Enjoy the nature in Golden Ears.
Great place for a quick hike and great trails too! It is very beautiful place, quite occupied, family friendly and fun trails to the creek.
It will take all about 3 hours to explore the trail to the creek and back, especially if you stopped here and there to admire views and side locations to sit. But be careful cause your phone signal will be off if you are at the north beach or go up the trail.
You can find camping sites, bathrooms are well distributed,
BC at its finest, this is an amazing park. It’s got it all. From a pristine lake to waterfalls and hiking trails for all. I can’t say enough about this great park and definitely recommend coming here if you can. Lots has been written about this park, so skip the words and come to this place and experience nature at its finest.
Beautiful provincial park however it is extremely busy. During camping seasons you must buy a camping spot within the literal second the tickets go online or you are screwed. Not to mention you need day passes for certain days during the summer and winter which I find ridiculous. It is also an extremely busy park in general and you will have a hard time finding a nice secluded spot with no people unless you really hike. That being said this park is truly beautiful with amazing waterfalls and lakes with gorgeous surrounding by mountains and forests.

We camped at the Gold Creek campground the week after the long weekend. The park rangers are incredibly helpful, and they maintain the park beautifully. While we camped, I saw them clean the bathrooms 2-3 times a day, checking campsites to be sure there were no squatters, and enforcing the day pass rule so the park wasn’t over crowded. Overall it was a wonderful stay and beautiful weather.

Sprawling paved paths around forested green swimming lake, showers to rinse off outside. There are several entrances, an expansive dog park, ample parking, and a tennis court. Very dog friendly, clean and they have a few trashcans about the trails.
Very fun Lake to take the family to. Hot days can be pretty crowded but you can usually find a small cove with privacy if you don’t want to be near crowds. It’s fun to walk around the entire lake, about 2.5 miles or so. Has some decent size hills. Also good fishing, I have not personally fished the lake but I often see people getting good catches. There are water fountains. The bathrooms get locked towards the evening. There’s a dog park along with an off leash trail. And a playground

This is a very well maintained Park with a pristine and serene Lake. There are 3 entrances ( i believe) to this park, each with its own parking lot and amenities (such as bathrooms, picnic area and playground). We love the bike trail that circles the entire Lake and connects to the mountain bike trails. And yes, you're allowed to ride an E-assist bike here, but please respect the speed limit of 15 mph.
I came here specifically for fishing and while there is a dock for fishing it's dilapidated. The benches are rotted and the deck isn't much better.
Tons of swimmers, kayakers, and people just enjoying their day. Seems like it would be crazy busy in June while the college is still in term.
I spent a sunny morning walking the mostly flat lakeside loop and loved how everything feels compact and easy to use. The main trail is smooth and friendly for joggers, families with strollers, and dog walkers, while short side trails climb into quieter forested spots if you want birdwatching or a bit of solitude. There’s a small boat launch and plenty of picnic space, so bring a blanket and snacks; midweek parking is easy but weekends get busy. Wear comfortable shoes and a light layer for lake breezes.

This is a beautiful park with well-manicured trails, a picnic area, a playground, and plenty of open space to walk around. We visited on a weekend and it was fairly busy, so if you’re looking for total solitude you may want to choose another spot. That said, it still felt peaceful and relaxing, with lots of room to explore and enjoy the outdoors. We’d definitely come back again for another visit.

Amazing and cute little park! The falls are beautiful, with the amenities of a small city park (playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, bathrooms, off-leash dog areas, etc.) but with trails that feel like you're out in the middle of the woods. Waterfalls and small creek are very charming. The pools made by the dams are picturesque. Love that the waterfalls and stone bridge is so close to the parking lot.

Gorgeous urban nature park with a 2.17 km paved pathway around a stunning man made lake complete with sizeable fountain. For bird enthusiasts, various water fowl and marsh birds can be heard and spotted, such as the red winged black bird. You might even spot a painted turtle sunning themselves!
There are 3 playground areas, a water park, outdoor pool, picnic areas and baseball diamond. Plenty of open and shaded spots with park benches available, including a small floating dock for fishermen or anyone wanting to enjoy the lake breeze.
This is a great place to hang out with friends and family on a nice sunny day. Me and my husband usually come here for an after dinner walk. We love how relaxed and serene the atmosphere here. Bicycles are allowed here, pets on a leash are allowed except by the playground area. Washrooms are available and picnic tables are all over the place as well as benches. It’s a good 30-45 minute walk if you do the full circle. I like the bridge area the most especially during sunset. Also, I have seen a few men fishing by the dock and I have asked them what fishes are usually caught and they said it’s mostly trouts here. So, if you like to fish you can try it here. A lot of geese all over the place so watch out for land mines! Lol! Parking may be a challenge during peak hours. This place is friendly to all ages, wheelchair and stroller accessible!
The park is beautiful, well maintained and has a lot of nature. It is family and pet friendly. It has public bathrooms. It is a good place to practice many different sports including jogging and running. Also good for a picnic or to enjoy good time outside with family, pets and friends. The only thing preventing it to be 5 stars is that it does not have lights enough to enjoy it when it is dark.
Fairly nice park with pretty views. Paths are paved. Lots of parks along the loop, with playgrounds, washrooms, benches, and parking. Also a place to fish aswell as a boat ramp. Expect to see lots of ducks, birds and squirrels.
Sadly a lot of homeless hanging out and camping in the area. Was approached multiple times while walking the loop which made me a bit uncomfortable as a young woman. Maybe not the best place to walk alone.
EDIT- this should be called Goose Lake, the park is just ripe with goose droppings. They’ve covered the walkways, paths, all the fields. It’s just absolutely disgusting!
Other than that I could be beautiful park for humans but the geese have overtaken!!! My dog loves to go for walks around the lake but right now he doesn’t even want to walk the pathways and just directs to the sidewalk outside the park!
I loved this park, I went with my partner and my 7-month-old baby, we did the complete circuit, we were able to see many animals and plants, and the view of the lake is very beautiful. I recommend it
Beautiful park with a 2.5 km looped walking trail around the lake. You can see Mt Baker in the distance and there are benches and picnic tables around the park where you can sit and enjoy the view. There are parking lots scattered in different parts of the park and a big playground for kids next to each lot. Very clean and close to residential neighbourhoods. This is a beautiful park to visit for families, friends, and lovers.

I enjoyed a delicious Latte and my son had a fantastic frozen yogurt. I appreciate small businesses like this so much having been a small business owner/operator myself.

The village store is such a fascinating business to go to. I just wish I knew about it sooner because they have been in business for almost 40 years. They have a great variety of different candy, tea and even baked goods such as scones and pies to serve. They have some unique sweets like Cotton Candy Dr. Pepper, Reese’s Wafer bars, Karameller Swedish Candy and Candy Rock Sticks. They even sell a unique selection of beer; however, you can only have it when you are dining in their store. The interior countenance of the store is very old-fashioned yet appealing. There was an old but working fireplace, these historic industrial coffee makers and a lot of other old knick-knacks on display. The people who worked there were very pleasant and helpful too.
I did not take any pictures or videos of the inside of the village store, out of respect for the owners and workers there.
I would very much love to pay my patronage to the Clayburn Village Store again soon. For those of you that have not been there yet, go check it out.
The owners Trish and Bryan are kind , caring people who run a special shop . I’m never disappointed with their selection of British food and treats galore. Their home baked specialty pasties etc. are the best , their soups so tasty and made from the best local ingredients …. We’re so lucky to have them here !
A not to be missed experience. I especially enjoyed meeting and talking with Brian one of the store owners. Not only does he have extensive knowledge of the products in the store but he is so passionate about what he does. Walking around the store packed with items which in some cases are only available in this store, is an absolute joy. Products include British chocolates and candies, Chutneys, Jams, sauces etc.
What a spot! This place has everything for the sweet tooth in the family as well as some delicious savory fresh baked goods. The owners are incredibly welcoming and happy to have a chat to get to know you and tell you about the amazing history of this store. Its the true centre piece of Clayburn Village and its an amazing piece of community.

The owner Sue is very nice and showed me how she organized her work. Decor is cozy and romantic. Highly recommend. This shop only opens Saturday in Abbortsford.

A beautiful oasis just 1-2 hours outside of Vancouver! Cascade Falls is absolutely stunning, and the short hike to the suspension bridge is both fun and scenic. It’s a great spot to cool off on a hot day, with crystal-clear pools perfect for swimming and refreshing cool water. Just a heads-up—make sure to bring bug spray, especially if you’re planning to stay later in the day. Enjoy!
Loved this spot! A very short toddler friendly hike up to the waterfall. There is a bit of an incline but very manageable for kids 2+, just hold their hands. There are some stairs along the way as well but doesn't take more than 15 mins if you're walking slowly.
You can take some great pictures at the waterfall and the bridge.
At the base, if you go right, there are a couple of sheltered tables for a picnic and then in the same area you can get right into the water flowing from the waterfall.
This waterfalls is always a refreshing sight. I saw it on Fall and Summer time. The picnic area is tiny but the river below is a lovely spot to go for a quick dip. The restroom could get a little bit of cleaning.
Nice, short walk to an absolutely beautiful waterfall. Great for the family to get some air and explore, totally worth a visit. No drones, no flippy floppys...doesn't say anything about pants though!

The ice cream was insane! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the line ups were manageable. The best part? Absolutely fantastic value! Get the water park and adventure park pass for less than $50 each. All day fun for cheap! We will return for sure. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't as busy. Love it!

I really enjoyed the place — the park is fantastic! It’s a great space for both adults and children to spend time, relax, enjoy the fresh air, and unwind.
That said, there were a couple of things that slightly took away from the overall experience.
First, the staff. I wish they were more friendly and engaged. It was rare to see anyone smile or show interest. It often felt like the younger staff members saw themselves as being “in charge” and behaved in a somewhat condescending or superior way. That kind of attitude isn’t very welcoming and doesn’t encourage return visits. If the staff were more open and positive in their interactions, I would happily give this place five stars.
Secondly, the food at the food court was underwhelming. Some of the vegetables looked like they had wilted long before they made it to my plate. The tomatoes, for example, were completely inedible — I couldn’t even manage to eat them. On a positive note, though, the poutine was delicious — so thank you for that!
A excellent Waterpark located just a hour across the Canadian boarder from Washington State. The Staff was outstanding, very helpful and and friendly.

Fun-Filled Family Day at Cultus Lake Waterpark!
We visited Cultus Lake Waterpark last Saturday with the whole family, and it was an absolute blast! The kids (and adults!) had an unforgettable time. The park offers a fantastic variety of rides suitable for both children and adults, ensuring everyone finds something to enjoy. The highlight of our day was the colossal canyon - grabbing a four-person tube and navigating the twists and turns was thrilling and had us all laughing like crazy!
There are plenty of picnic table areas throughout the park, perfect for setting up a home base to relax and eat. We also loved discovering the hot tubs scattered around—see if you can find them all for a relaxing break between rides!
A few things to note: There’s a bag check at the entrance, and open bottles will be emptied, so plan accordingly. Also, once you enter, there’s no re-entry, so make sure to bring all your essentials with you.
Overall, Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fantastic spot for a family outing. With exciting rides, great amenities, and plenty of fun, we can’t wait to return!
Cultus Lake Waterpark is considered as one of the best in British Columbia. It's only a couple of hours away from Downtown Vancouver or about an hour away from Surrey. The drive to this place is wonderful. The rides are amazing and for most rides you don't need to be a swimmer. There are lifeguards watching you from everywhere so you're pretty safe. Beware: some rides do need you to be an expert swimmer.
Please buy your tickets in advance as on weekends they are mostly sold out. You can carry your tents, umbrellas, mats, wagons full of food and drinks, etc. They have a ground which can be used for having a picnic. You can get lockers there to store valuable belongings. As for parking, you get two options - free parking at the back of the park (unsupervised), and paid parking ($10 for the day) in front of the park. You can check their website for all the good things you get. It's well written over there. A must go with friends or with family.
The park has a great, fun, and family-friendly atmosphere. Lots of slides and activities for kids, and the whole place is well-maintained. The staff are friendly and make you feel safe.

Since it was a bit cloudy, it wasn't as busy as I feel it would be if it was sunny.
We were able to get a covered table and that made a different compared to being on the grass (as we didn't prepare for that).
Staff was friendly and helpful.
I honestly enjoyed all the slides and raft rides.
Price was $40 CAD (I'm from California) and I felt that was about right.
Food is always pricey, but there is an option to bring in sealed food. I did buy "Valley of fries" which was like $12.
Also there is a coffee/expresso/frappe' bar too.
Valley of Fear, Speed Slide and Freefall were awesome.
Again, honestly impressed with all the slides.
And if it is a bit cold at 1st, there are hot tubs dotted throughout the park!

Such an amazing waterpark!! The best I’ve been to in BC. It’s got a whole bunch of slides ranging from easy to difficult, and ones for all ages. The lineups aren’t terrible, they seem to cap attendance at the right number to keep everything flowing smoothly in the park. There is food available and it’s not too expensive. I recommend the fish and chips, it is excellent! Don’t fear if it’s raining, you will still have a blast at the waterpark because the lines will be shorter, and there are hot tubs everywhere. I’ve been here on a rainy day before and it was one of my favourite days in the park. You can’t beat a sunny day though, even with the longer lines! Highly recommend checking out this waterpark, you will not be disappointed!

Spectacular falls to see while heading to or from Mt Baker. About 90 feet tall, it plunges over a sharp rocky, and mossy, fern covered edge into a narrow shadowy hole, joining another tumbling water way just from the east. It is fantastic!
Easy access, plenty of parking, with short but not flat trails to the viewing area. Beautiful trees and foliage. There is signage telling the history of the falls and the water works that once existed there. It is extremely steep, slippery, and potentially dangerous on the edge of falls, so the viewing area is edged by a chain-link for safety, but it does not block or diminish the view at all. You can also view the tumbling waters and pool at the top of the falls, from a bridge the crosses just above it. There is parking on both sides of the bridge, and trails heading off up the surrounding mountain, through the shady, mossy , and pine needle strewn under growth. A very magical place, indeed, and very worth a visit. Highly recommend!

This is now by far my favorite Washington waterfall. Amazing! The amount of water coming down and another river joining it is incredible to watch. The drive is long from Olympia, but worth it at least once. There are snakes in the area, but we didn't see any. All snakes west of the cascades are non- venomous.
In Washington state, the only venomous snake is the Western Rattlesnake, also known as the Northern Pacific Rattlesnake. It is primarily found in the eastern part of the state, east of the Cascade Mountains. There's plenty of parking of everyone parks next to each other.
You drive down a windy gravel road to an open gravel parking lot. The walk down is only like a minute from the parking lot. The falls is beautiful and fenced in from the cliff. No restrooms available.

I first climbed under the bridge and down some big rocks which put me on Top of the falls which was an Amazing perspective. If it had been wet the rocks would have been dangerous and slippery but luckily I was there on a dry day. Just around the corner you can see the falls falling. So very beautiful. And I also liked that there was no hiking needed.
Highly recommend these falls.
Easy to get to and pretty but the very tall fencing takes away from the glory of it all. I understand it's necessary for safety purposes but it does take away from the beauty.
This is my favorite spot to escape from reality and enjoy nature, I've also siphoned gallons of water from the falls and its the most refreshing water I've ever had.

We went on a misty morning on a Wednesday in December thinking we’d be the only tourist types going in the rain but there were small groups of people coming and going. There really isn’t anywhere to park but a road edge and it is a fairly steep hike for 15 minutes up to the falls. Very scenic area and a beautiful falls.
Went there in the morning for a short walk during weekend with friends. Better be there early on weekends to get parking spot. Trails available and going up to the right you will able to see the amazing Bridal Veil Falls. Their Picnic area, tables and pit washrooms are better than Shannon Falls. Although these parks have their own must see great views. Dog friendly on leash park and trail but didn’t see any playground for children.
Beautiful waterfalls conveniently near highway 1. The short hike is worth it. But i hope they place more direction signs. It may be a short trail, but we still got a bit lost as there were 2 intertwined trails. Parking can be full, so a little bit of patience is needed even on a not so busy day.
Are you getting sleepy on a long commute? If yes, then here is a quick little hike to get the blood flowing and wake you up. Trail will take you about 15 minutes hike to the top, and the waterfall waters are good for a quick cold shower (if you choose to ignore the signs and hike the rest of the way up). It is worth a stop 100%
The trails and paths are extremely well maintained and clearly marked. The viewing area at the waterfall has a taped off area to prevent people from climbing up to the falls, but someone cut the tape.
Beautiful picnic spots near the parking area with plenty of restrooms close by. The picnic tables are right next to a small stream which is incredibly peaceful to listen to. I would imagine the place gets very busy in the sunny months though.

Wonderful place for a short (uphill) hike to the falls. There are two trails up -- one is steeper and shorter. We took that one up and then the longer, less steep one back (has some stairs). Other trails as well for longer hikes.
the walk is steep in some places, but not incredibly difficult if you have no physical barriers. Some slopes are about 30*+ and you feel it. The view is worth it. There are two paths up, the short one from the parking lot has the steepest slopes. The other one has some stairs to help.

Great destination for hiking, camping, and snowshoes. You can ski, too. And they all come with great views if Baker, Shuksan, ridges, lakes, and (in season) fall colors of blueberry and Sumac.
Road is a little rough, but my '98 Jetta made it no problem. Great little lake to walk around, can't wait to see it after it snows!

Been here before and decided to bring our road trip to pass by here. Although online suggested buying tickets online, this place was not busy at all with zero line ups and ample parking.
The airtram experience was great offering great views to and from its lower facility. This place features multiple exhibits, gift shop, gold panning station, cafe (reviewed separately), bridge, and fudge store that offers a decent experience to the average tourist.
Compared to my previous experience, this place feels a little dead. Perhaps it's not the summer season yet, but I feel like the shops they had originally have turned to exhibits for the sake of cutting manpower costs.
The gold panning station was kind of lacklustre without anyone teaching about the mechanics like before.
Overall it's a solid 3 and very hard for me to place a 4 like before.
Spectacular views and a unique experience, but a few things to know before you go.
Hell’s Gate is definitely worth a visit if you’re driving through the Fraser Canyon. The gondola ride across the canyon is short but breathtaking, and the views of the rushing Fraser River are stunning. The suspension bridge and historical displays add a nice touch, and the whole place feels like a piece of BC history.
However, parking is very limited, so try to arrive early. The on-site restaurant has a very limited menu — mostly sandwiches (around $14), two soups, fries, and burgers. The food is overpriced and not very impressive. Also, the gift shop, while fun to browse, is quite expensive.
Still, the scenery makes up for the downsides. If you manage your expectations for food and shopping, the overall experience is memorable and well worth it.
Also there's only one bathroom at the bottom of the Canon
Been running since 1968 and well worth stopping and doing the tram. A good history lesson on it being part of the gold rush. Great gift shop and restaurant, staff are very friendly.
A great place to stop and stretch your legs on a long road trip and well worth the time spent. A great look into the history of the salmon runs on the river. There’s a great little ‘spooky’ self-guided tour and the suspension bridge was definitely a bit hair raising. Also, they have a penny crusher machine so make sure you have some loonies!
Skip it! Don’t waste your money here. They had the most unfriendly staff, if you can even find one. The place is like a ghost town. If I knew how rundown this place had gotten, I wouldn’t even pay $5 a person to get in let alone the hefty price of $37. Thank goodness my son under 5 still otherwise it’s $32 a kid! There are zero activities there, the “gold panning” is a disgrace - the water is a biohazard and there was barely any gravel let alone any “gold”. I feel offended for all the tourist that come here and think this place represents Canada in any way shape or form. Also, 1 single gum ball at the candy store was $23.09…. Excuse me whatttt?!?
I've been to hell's gate a number of times and it has a nice view of the Frazer river but there isn't really much to do once you've taken the airtram to the bottom. The gift store is lacking and doesn't have much things to offer but the fudge on the other had is really good. The tickets for hells gate are kind of expensive but understanding this place is more of a tourist attraction. 7/10

Where do we start with negatives?!
First off the price set at $35 is not only steep but completely unjustified. I read a review before I went there that it’s very rundown and nothing really to do there. I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes. Once you get up across the river after a very. Beautiful but short tram ride you have a suspension bridge, a counter that was once a restaurant, a sad, overpriced and limited store, a small gallery history museum and a Fudge and candy store that sells terrible fudge by the way.
The restaurant looks so run down that we didn’t order anything. They had 5-6 food choices on the menu and it’s an actual counter self serve cashier.
The store sells some items and cheap souvenirs some you’d find in Vancouver aquarium and bc ferries but much more pricey.
The sweet shop / ice cream fudge was a total joke. I got a sea salt and caramel. If you’ve never had a fudge in your life there is a small chance you might like it. It was salty like they dumped the salt and rolled it into a mushy paste with some hint of sweet caramel. I almost died in the first bite.
The whole place seems unkept and rundown. It really is a shame because it is such a heritage site and deserves to shine. I imagine if a better owner take care of this place it could receive some boost and major upgrades.

Absolutely stunning🌟!! Beautiful mix of nature and history. It’s short walk from the parking lot (5mins). We visited over the weekend and it was pretty busy, parking gets full pretty fast but there’s plenty of parking alongside the road you can use, if you don’t mind walking a few extra meters!!

We could enter three tunnels, or actually 2,5; Halfway the last tunnel was a wall built, with a note with the message repairs are needed on the tunnels so we couldn't go further. Despite it was very worth the (15-20 minute?) stop. It was a very little walk of approximately 5 minutes.
(Would have been possible/ accessible with wheelchair I guess.)
Absolutely gorgeous, it was amazing how the tunnels turn around to fabulous views. It's a nice walk towards the entrance and get dark, better to have some form touch or mobile flash would do. The bridges are quite the catch with the view. There are more tunnels and could walk down the way. Definitely a place to visit!
Made a pit stop here on route from Vancouver to Sun Peaks and I’m so glad that we did. The tunnels are incredible. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before. The views are amazing. I highly recommend visiting this place from some unique sights and amazing pictures.
The nature here is absolutely beautiful, and it’s a very interesting historical place. This is a great destination for anyone who loves the rich history of our province.
I just have a couple of small suggestions:
1. On weekends, it’s really difficult to find parking — there clearly aren’t enough spots, and there are a lot of tourists.
2. There isn’t much historical information available on-site, so I often had to use Google Search to learn more about the place.
Other than that, it’s definitely worth visiting!
Finally revisited the Othello tunnels since their full re-opening, the restoration crews did a great job. It may only be a short portion of the historic kettle valley railway, but it's beautiful, the tunnels are a little spooky, and everything feels very safe. Don't forget your flashlight, or the flashlight on your phone.
Visiting this place is like a small lottery — sometimes you get to see it, sometimes you don’t. Very unexpectedly.
Our group tried twice. The second time we even called ahead, and they confirmed the Tunnels were open. We drove more than 150 km — only to find them closed. Why? For how long? Nobody could answer.
I hope you’ll be luckier. From the parking lot, it’s just a 12-minute walk along a wide, flat road, comfortable even for seniors and children.
On the bright side, the road to this location is very picturesque, which helps soften the disappointment.
And by the way, you can also visit the famous Bridal Falls, just 42 km away.

Great hill, great terrain, and super fast lift lines. The triple chair especially. I have never had more than one person in front of me. Great variety of terrain, with some expert runs plenty of gladed skiing and it is a steep mountain. Ski patrol awesome, my daughter ended up with a spinal compression fracture they took great care of her we have been back many times since.
Hill was more than I was expecting. There were lots of nice steep pitches to keep you entertained. Snows was great, groomers were fast. With lifts in the mid 100s, I'll be hitting Apex up again.
For a skiing area with only 2 chairlifts, the amount of terrain accesed is absolutely huge! It feels more like a larger locals hill, not an international destination resort. The vibe is relaxed, the ticket pricing simple and clear, good steep runs at the top, friendly liftees, old school hand scanned tickets, beatiful views (you can see both Big White and mt Baldy from the top) . Would recommend to ski here for a couple days to try out all the runs.
Nice hill to go to if you are local. Not an easy hill! If you are new to snowsports, this might not be a hill to start on. Mostly groomed runs with lots of powder options.

We stayed for three nights in December of 2023. We could tell it had lots of potential, unfortunately the weather wasn't great for ski conditions at that point in the season. That said, the rooms in ski in ski out were amazing, the tubing was our favorite and the groomers were phenomenal. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious in the base area restaraunts.
I hope to return for another trip with better snow and the skate loop open.

We went up at 3:30 wanting to skate in the loop that was open until 10pm. My boyfriend needed to rent skates and they told us that we could but we needed to return them by 4:00pm or 9am tomorrow. Because the skate loop is open until 10 we assumed there would be a drop box or someplace we could drop the skates off when we were finished with them as we were told on the phone. We travelled 2 hours from lake country to get there and with the lack of misinformation on the website and the cluelessness of the rental shop it was completely disappointing. For an activity that is open until 10pm there should be some sort of service open until then as well. We left extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

What truly made our day, though, were the amazing staff. They were so welcoming, patient, and engaging with my daughter, making sure she felt comfortable and confident throughout her adventure. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it really added to the overall enjoyment.
My daughter absolutely loved soaring through the trees, and watching her face light up with each zip was priceless. It's a truly great place for families, offering an exciting and memorable outdoor activity.

Booked the morning of for 2 of us to do the full 6 line tour. Loads of fun, and the only thing you need is bravery to make the first step off the platform.
Things that help are a strap to keep glasses on your face, keeping hair tied back under your helmet so you get a clear view, clothing with zippered pockets to avoid dropping items, and the ability to do a short hike back up to the top when done. Absolutely worth the price, and a terrific adventure to add to your to-do list!

Awesome experience! Views were fantastic. Kudos to guides Twig and Vulture! They were great - explained everything in detail, had awesome personalities, even went extra with my son that got cold feet last minute. Highly recommend.
Just a heads up that the road is no longer paved about 1km coming up to the location.
Loved it. It seems kinda like a goofy thing to do, but the views are gorgeous, and it's damn fun flying through the air. The staff are wonderful tour guides as well as extremely safety conscious and thorough. I'll definitely bring visiting friends/family on this very cool adventure, at least so I can do it again and again and again. Luv it!
I'm scared of heights so decided to conquer my fear of it by going on the bucketlist lines.. the highest and longest/fastest lines they had. I loved it! And will definetly be going back the next time im in peachland to do all 6 lines.

Dirty Laundry Vineyard in Summerland is a down-to-earth and welcoming winery with a fantastic selection of delicious wines. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent, making it a great place to visit. The winery also offers a wonderful patio where visitors can relax and enjoy food and drinks. Additionally, the wine club is worth considering for those who want to access their selections from afar, especially for Calgary residents.

The wine is delicious!!! But it is NOT Dog Friendly anymore!! Right now Google labels it dog friendly, so we drove all the way out there just to discover it is not. There is a red umbrella and bench out by the parking lot, with no view, where you can sit with your dogs and the might agree to let you drink your wine there. Make sure you have plans for a cool place for the pups.

Our visit was completely lovely from the moment we entered to room. Our tasting host was pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging. She managed to host three separate tastings with ease and shared the winery story with the group of us. Her delivery was funny while informative. The winery decor cleverly plays up the dirty laundry theme.
I came up to the Okanagan with a girlfriend and she wanted to visit a winery. Out of all the wineries up here I chose Dirty Laundry for her to visit. I have brought family from Germany here, so I knew she would enjoy this one. The wine tasting was good and for only $6!!! Viktoria was very informative and super friendly, when we were looking to purchase wine she came and asked if we need helping with any of our choices. After we were done wine tasting we sat out on the patio to listen to live music and have some pizza. Oh was the pizza ever good!!! And the views and ambience on the patio were beautiful. When we left my girlfriend said to me, thank you so much for bringing me to this winery, I loved it!! So sounds like my choice of wineries to visit was perfect!
Absolutely incredible place. We arrived on our travels from Ottawa, to find out sadly that no dogs were allowed on the patio. Sherri the Manager was fantastic and found us a spot to accommodate us and Lewis our Golden Doodle. Moreover, she went above and beyond with a bottle of the Vineyards Pinot Gris - gratis. An amazing spot and great customer service Sherri and love the vineyard.
Wow, wuat a hidden gem and concept! Excellent ratings, tastings, wine, atmosphere, pizza and smokehouse. If you wine touring finish here! Smokehouse and pizza are very impressive. Staff excellent and trained, red wines are excellent. We will be back. It's a goto for Summerland wine tastings!

We cycled out purposefully to find out about wine tours. It was challenging to get the information we wanted. One would think that at a place like this you would get advice tailored to your desires. Not so much.
And when I told the fellow that I had almost cut myself on some broken glass outside he seemed to take a very nonchallant attitude. We ended up just going on our own - self guided touring. Actually, the best way to tour the vineyards, I think, is to take a bicycle on the trails! That was amazing!!!
Stopped by here to pick up tickets to Fest-of-Ale and was really pleasantly surprised by the friendly and helpful staff. They had lots of helpful advice and some great resources for touring the surrounding wine country.

Awesome. This the BEST visitors centre. They were knowledgeable. Had an up to date list of local activities by day. Asked about our interests and length of time we were in the area. Then gave us a card with activities, date, time and directions.

Skaha Lake Park is a 21-acre park located in Penticton, Canada, and has been recognized as one of the best beaches in the country. The park features a sandy beach perfect for building sandcastles and offers various amenities such as picnic areas, playgrounds, sports courts, a waterpark, and a duck pond. Beautiful beach setting with a walking path around. Clean sand. Lots of places for lounging. There are a couple slides in the water.
This beach is the ending point for the Penticton channel (offered by Coyote Cruises) there is a large hidden current in where the channel meets the lake and it is *EXTREMELY DANGEROUS* stay out of the area.
There is a nice playground steps away from the beach that offers two slides and a Small ropes course that can offer a challenge for kids ages 5 to 12. They have Beach volleyball court steps away from the parking lot. With year-round washrooms and change rooms available nearby.
There is a Tickleberry's concession just beside the playground, so if you are not traveling into Okanagan Falls, you have the experience to visit in Penticton.

My dog and I love walking around this park. The views are beautiful. There is lots to do here. The beach is lovely but dogs aren't allowed on the beach.
I was very disappointed my last visit, however, as my disabled friends walker was stolen as soon as we left the park. When I drove back to retrieve it, was gone.
Are you having a rough day? Do yourself a favor and walk along the beach. If it's not the scenery, that never fails. It's the people, and don't forget the fury family members that are walking around with smiles, I kid you not.

Such a beautiful place to go walking, and enjoy the beautiful views. I loved the exercise equipment, and how clean the bathrooms were, I greatly appreciated the heat in the bathroom. ❤️ This will definitely be one of our go to walking spots, when we visit family.
Nice facilities. Seems like a more secure lot than in post with the gentleman thats posted at the front with park info. Trails are great, views are great. Some property lines are not marked well with signage, possibly can walk onto private land if heading towards lake direction.
This park is awesome! Was here for an outrigger race event. Lots of space and big old trees for shade. The washrooms are pretty good. They have a snack shack by the washrooms. Parking is plenty. There's a spray park for the kiddos. The beach is fairly steep as there's a sharp drop off from shore. Highly recommend for an outdoor gathering.
Great park and beach. Some bonfire pits, volleyball area, Mexican food and Tickleberry's Ice Cream shop. Gondola, out door workout machines, basketball courts, playground, dragon boating, boating launch, soon to have Dragon Boat Pub, paddleboard/kayak rental spot. Lots to do and great place to relax for a bit or the day.
Park is nice and clean. Sand here is better than the okanagan lake. It's peaceful here and you can find some water activities during the weekend. There should be some rides or playarea for the kids.

Their food is incredible and guests can also indulge in a wine tasting experience with knowledgeable staff who provide great information and service.

If you're making a wine tour stop in Oliver, Tinhorn Vineyards needs to be at the absolute top of your list. This place is a solid five stars, and for good reason!
First off, let's talk about the setting. The breathtaking views of the valley from their spot are just incredible. You could honestly spend hours just soaking it all in with a glass in hand. It's truly picturesque and adds so much to the whole experience.
Then there's the wine itself – absolutely delicious wine, of course! They have a fantastic selection, and every sip was a pleasure. You can tell a lot of care goes into their production.
And finally, the staff. They are truly *knowledgeable. You can ask them anything about the wines, the grapes, the region, and they're happy to share their expertise. They make the tasting experience informative and genuinely enjoyable without being pretentious.
They offer the perfect trifecta: stunning scenery, fantastic wine, and wonderful people to guide you through it. It's an essential stop for any wine lover in Oliver!
The vineyard is absolutely beautiful...which is why we went back that evening for dinner. We started out very impressed. We were greeted by the most friendly gentleman, he was both professional and welcoming. We both commented what a nice person he was when we sat down at our table. From there our experience went downhill unfortunately. Our servers name was Sam and she could not have been more disinterested... there was no personalized service explaining any of the wines or entrees, she kept running from the table with comments like " I'll be back". It appeared a couple came in that she knew personally and she spent time visiting with them while we were waiting to be attended to. If it had not been for the pleasant busboy clearing dishes and bringing out our water, wine and food we would have been sitting a lengthy amount of time in between. Very disappointed... our experience and evening ended with us having to ask for our bill and then had to ask another hostess for the machine to pay the bill. Not the experience we expected considering we had been to the Burrowing Owl and Hester Creek Vineyards and were treated with such gracious staff. We do visit Osoyoos often and we will definitely try the restaurant again. Hopefully we have better service next time. Customers spend a lot of money when they go to these type establishments ...service is a large part of the experience. Thanks to the rest of the staff and wonderful food we do recommend trying this restaurant...grounds are stunning!! 🍷🍷🍷
We've been to a zillion wineries over the last 40 years, and I'm not even exaggerating that this is the best we ever went to. We had a terrific time from when we stepped through the door, to our tastings, to our wonderful meal at their restaurant. Betty Ann was terrific helping us with our tastings. We sat outside and enjoyed a very casual environment and terrific view as we were allowed to take our time and savour each selection of three wines each. When we were done, we went to the restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful pizza, possibly the best Marguerita pizza we've ever had. This is a compliment since we've eaten pizza in Italy and this was easily just as good. The tomato sauce, the crust, and the mozzarella were incredibly flavorful. Not to mention the views were absolutely astounding. Jamie was our server and he was incredible, great guy, lots of fun. This was one of the best days of our entire 2-week road trip through BC. Thanks to everybody at this location and the staff for making us a really wonderful wine tasting and meal. We bought a full box of wine to show our appreciation!

We had an outstanding experience at Tin Horn during a recent wine tasting, thanks largely to our server Pamela, whose warm, welcoming demeanor set a relaxed tone from the moment she greeted us. She paired solid knowledge with approachable explanations, and her enthusiasm was contagious; you could tell she genuinely cared that we left happy and informed, making the visit memorable and highly recommendable.
The building was beautiful, from outside and inside. Did not spend too much time inside the main building as the lady who approached us quickly suggested my wife and I to go for lunch at the adjacent building. Nice suggestion but we were kind of hoping for some wine tasting and walk around in the property before eating something. That gave the impression she did not want to spend time with us, maybe?
Anyways, we went to the restaurant. A male server (sorry, won't be able to remember his name) assisted us with a corner patio table facing all the vineyards around, great service and great wine suggestions. This was June 2025.
We were very excited to visit Tinhorn Creek and it did not disappoint. The views on the patio were wonderful and the variety of wines we were able to taste offered a lovely experience for all.
I highly recommend making a reservation for the wine tasting and booking a premium tasting is best. Our group was very pleased and left with many bottles at the end of our experience.

1000/10. Best winery I have genuinely EVER been to. Every time they said a different note or smell or taste in the wine, you could taste it very prominently. The owner was absolutely fantastic and gave so many details about the grapes and different wines. You could really tell they cared about the product they were selling and the experience you had.
The property was fantastic, I felt like I was in a European Villa. Atmosphere, customer service, wine all 1000/10.
The only way to get this wine is to get it shipped from them or to go to the winery directly. I highly recommend stocking up. Do yourself a favor and come here!

Our absolute favorite winery! We always end up buying a full case for ourselves and another for friends — and then keep ordering online, because their wines are the only thing that make those long Saskatchewan winters survivable (honestly, they should be prescribed for it!). Every wine is a gem: the unforgettable Sage white, their exquisite dessert wines, and the excellent dry reds that are impossible to resist. Tastings are free and include everything, so you really get to explore their whole range. Anna and her sister are true enthusiasts who know their craft inside out — warm, welcoming, and full of passion for what they do. Every visit feels special, and you will definitely not leave empty-handed. We absolutely adore this place!
This place was such a cool and unique experience! The wines were really different and we loved it. From the moment we got there, everything was great—the rose gardens and statues were beautiful. Our hostess was awesome and made it a really fun time. Definitely worth a visit!

My boyfriend’s family and I had such a wonderful experience here. We went for a tasting, as we found out they have a special selection of wines, specifically fortified wines.
John was extremely knowledgeable and had such a great sense of humor. He had us laughing and really enjoying our time there. We were so impressed with the wide selection of dessert wines. Every single one was delicious, and had unique properties, and reflected high standards for their production process.

We stumbled upon this lovely winery for a spontaneous tasting and had no idea what a treat we were in for. The wines were exceptional — beautifully balanced and full of character — but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the owner. We enjoyed a generous tasting of 13 fruit-forward wines with no fee, guided by a witty and knowledgeable server who kept us laughing throughout. Honestly, I could have taken home a bottle of every wine…. they were all that good! We ended up buying four bottles. Don’t miss this gem- hands down our favourite winery in Osoyoos!

Their wines are absolutely delicious — the Pinot Blanc is light and crisp, like taking a bite of a white nectarine 🍑, and the Gewürztraminer with sage is so unique and aromatic.
