This 213-year-old Portuguese mansion, once owned by a nobleman and head of the town church, has been lovingly restored and is now open to all visitors. The current owner, Ruben, provides insightful tours of the mansion while sharing fascinating anecdotes from the town's history.
This was an unexpectedly amazing experience! Getting a tour through the old Portugese villa was fascinating as we learned a lot about its history. Not only that, the food was excellent! There was so much to eat that we couldn't finish it all.
Also, we were able to call on the morning of to make a reservation which was nice. I'm not sure if this is possible if you visit during the busy season (supposedly October to February).

A lovely spot to spend a few hours in the South. When you book a meal, you also get a short tour of the restored house. Given the state the house was in, it’s a huge and wonderful job they’ve done restoring it. The meal is a wonderful and large feast that feels one is visiting a friend’s house, and the beautiful thing about it is that it doesn’t feel like a restaurant. It is a bit of a detour irrespective of where you’re coming from in Goa but if you have a few hours to spare, it’s great to add to your itinerary.
A unique experience of touring a heritage house from the 1780 era .. Mr Ruben and his family have done a wonderful job in restoring the beautiful house in all its glory! The meal (made using absolutely fresh in house produce) at the end of the tour was finger licking delicious!! .. overall, a fabulous visit giving a great insight into Portugese culture and heritage ..

Two of us had visited this beautifully restored Portuguese-era mansion 14 years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed the tour through the house, by the owner, then a wander around the lush, restored gardens. We were then treated to a fabulous home-cooked feast.
To our delight the same people still own the house, and as we are in Goa again, we re-visited and took friends with us.
We again were given a tour by the owner, Ruben, who explained the history of the house, the renovations and some of the contents. We then sat down to a wonderful lunch, cooked by Ruben's wife.
To start, we shared:
- Pan-fried mushrooms in crispy cups
- Deep-fried cheese pastries
- Something like a cream cheese on toast
- Crab meat in the shell
- Drumstick (Goan vegetable soup)
Then a feast of main courses:
- Whole seabass
- BBQ prawns (with a delicious coating)
- Spiced chicken pieces off the bone
- Salad with pomegranate
- Chopped green beans
- Pumpkin pie
- Steamed rice
- Poi bread
And to finish, the most delicious no-flour, rich chocolate pudding.
We also had their signature cocktail of pineapple and passion fruit juice with their locally produced spirit, Feni, made from fermented and distilled cashew apples - an excellent drink.
We absolutely loved re-visiting this delightful family in their lovely home and eating a sumptuous lunch.

We enjoyed this tour and it was well worth the small fee. Reuben was very flexible with our arrival time and provided an interesting ten minute tour. We were then free to explore the house and the gardens ourselves. It's well worth a visit if you're in the area. My only suggestion for Reuben would be to provide more information on the website and Instagram about how to sign up for a tour or lunch, as it was not very clear to us initially.
Visited the charming Portuguese-style houses in South Goa during my trip in October 2023. The architecture was truly stunning — colorful facades, vintage wooden balconies, and colonial-era charm. It felt like stepping back in time. The area was peaceful, clean, and full of character. Great spot for photography and understanding Goa's rich cultural heritage.

Our group of five from Mumbai visited this beautiful Portuguese era home last week. We were warmly welcomed by the host, Ruben, who took us on a detailed tour of the home and the adjoining gardens which were magnificent. Our guests were served a delectable Indo Portuguese lunch with unique veg and non veg options, prepared largely with fresh produce grown on their farm! Ended the meal with the most delicious Caramel custard and filter coffee. Overall a truly wholesome experience!
This place is pretty ambur obviously you cannot take any pictures or eat anything here. As it's exclusive for pre ordering also the owner also a guide ( no hates) seemed extremely rude while explaining the property and the inspiration behind it as if we gonna steal it. And wanted money in cash only , STRANGE!

Such a beautiful creation by nature!! An adventurous drive by the jeep for almost an hour to the majestic Dudh Sagar waterfall. On the way it's a lush green rain forest with a few water crossings. The sight of the mighty waterfalls is so mesmerizing. Swimming at the bottom the waterfall is an amazing experience. Visiting this place is definitely worth it!!

While I have been to Doodhsagar falls a couple of times, this time we decided to go on a trek. A total of 12 kilometres from the gate to waterfalls, it was an awesome experience in the morning. Walking through the forest, if you are a nature person, then I bet you will enjoy the early mornings. All is good until you have walk back 12 kms .. it was not at all fun to walk back in the scorching sun ... Yet it was fine .. overall an unique experience.

We wanted to go to Dudhsagar waterfall but there were no jeep service available that time hence we took this trekking route for 10 km's.
We have walked through this jungle, its has got lots n lots of surprises.
It was raining and river was flowing on its full throttle.
I can't explain it was so beautiful.
Dodhsagar water fall is present in it, need to carry cash here, good place for trekking, safe haven for endangered species, contribute to environmental education, conservation, and community well-being, provide a space for visitors to learn about biodiversity, ecosystems, and the importance of conservation in a hands-on, engaging way.
An must visit waterfall in Goa India, we can go railway track to reach... It's around 14kms via track, and through jungle its around 9-10kms but you should hire an Guide with you, you'll be not allowed inside the jungle without the guide.
Nice place,., Everyone should visit this place this is completely safe and adventurous,.,. From June to October is close due to heavy rain,.,. Such a beautiful place and peaceful atmosphere here,.,. But you should go with your own food and drinks otherwise you and your friends will be in trouble because nothing is there no shops and restaurants in that area . Beautiful water fall and awesome temples are also there,. Which has it own history,.,. Water is so much pure and clean,. You can not drive your own car you have to go with government authorized vehicle with permitted driver,. All the drivers are equal to guide,. Had great time there love to visit again

The farm is around 4 acres within the 500 acre land at the Adobe of a vast forest. If lucky, you can get to see wild Bysons and deers too. The package consists of authentic Goan food and a tour of the spice garden which consists of assorted spices. There are elephant rides too which is a must.
The place is family and kids friendly. A must visit!!

This doesn't even deserve 1 star. I guess the pictures shown on Google about culture event and elephant belongs to other Sahyadri spice farm and we end up visiting this one, its complete waste of money.
They charge 400 Rs and tour lasts not more than 15 minutes. The food was below average, veg dishes were really poor.
The person over there was really arrogant and spices sold over there are easily available outside in much lesser price.
They will show you few plants during the tour and they claim they have 300 acre farm but when asked to show they say its closed.
Visit if you want to waste your 400 Rs.
This is a complete waste of money! They charged Rs 700 per person for a 5 minutes elephant ride with more than one passenger. You are also expected to tip them after the ride. This means that if you are a 4 person family including small kids, it will cost you about Rs 3000 with the tip.
During peak season, they have more than 200 rides everyday!
My advice, please have beer instead of riding the bare-back elephant. It hurts. Both your pockets and your ass.
The food is also very expensive there. And so are the herbs. It is a poorly maintained place aimed at making profits.

Yes, this is the right place to review about this form. This visit is completely waste of time and money... Actually we went to this form as group of peoples with kids... They received very traditionally and they told that buffet will be provided after that visiting of garden ... But actually what is???.. the food is worst... And we asked them to arrange good food, our kids are not able to eat this food even papad also... but they quarrelled with us.. and they are not ready to return the money... After so much discussion we left the garden without Lunch and visiting of Spice garden... so I suggest you all don't visit this garden....
It is a Spice Firm only. They will explain you different type of spices and their features. Elephant ride is also available there. But for me, It was bit boring. I will not recommend this place to any one. Local travel guide will insist you to visit this place but before visiting please google this place. I had lunch there also, it was good.
Great location, interesting facts about spices. We did not like the elephant experience, since the two elefants seemed pretty stressed out and exploited by the staff.
Worst place I have ever been to. They are just trying to loot people, the guide named BHUNU was horribly rude and arrogant, was shouting at tourists giving them orders, asking them to shut up, not to sit wherever they want to, asking them to follow the orders if they want to have lunch. Management w as least bothered since they already had the money.
Place is not at all worth the money, total waste of time and money.

Betalbatim Beach (often called Belaluim by locals) is a nice, cozy, and peaceful beach — perfect for relaxing away from the crowd 🌊. Kolva beach is around 5 kms from South Goa City of madgaon, Beach is famous for its white sand, water sports like jet skiing, beach is a popular spot for goans and tourists. Wonderful beach with calm vibes and unhindered view of the sea. Being less explored, the beach has clean sand & loads of sea shells. However, the approach road to the beach is very narrow with limited space for car parking.
Beach is good...Infact it is crowded...Seriously this is not beach for foreigners / Indian tourists...This beach is crowded with locals & even normal people...They will be looking at us like strange things,even if we are wearing sleeveless...Police help & guard help is available...but cannot do anything with staring...The main thing is,its not men staring at us,its the women...Most of the women were burkha weared or else saree weared ...So their looks will be uncomfortable for us...So if you are a foreigner,it is better to Benaulim beach which 12 minutes away from this beach...U will be feeling comfortable...

Betalbatim Beach is One of the best beaches in South Goa. Clean, golden sands and clear waters, it's an ideal spot for relaxation. It is located right between Colva and Majorda. It’s a way better choice than the commercialized beaches in the south region. Suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers seeking a quiet retreat. The beach provides picturesque sunset views, enhancing its appeal for evening visits. The beach has fewer shacks and shops compared to more tourist heavy areas. Overall it’s a must visit beach for first time travelers to Goa. One downside being there is no public transport to this beach.
Beach! It’s clean, quiet, and much less crowded than other beaches in Goa. The sunset view is stunning, and the cool breeze makes it perfect for long walks. Truly one of the most relaxing beaches.
Totally, totally worth visiting Betalbatim Beach! I was staying near Benaulim, and it was hardly 2 km away. This place is absolutely beautiful — calm, clean, and not at all crowded. It’s a perfect spot if you want to swim or just relax peacefully.
One thing to note: avoid going at night, as the way is quite dark and the area isn’t very crowded, so it’s better to visit during the day. For girls, it’s a very comfortable and safe beach — you can wear whatever you like and just enjoy freely. I stayed for 3 days nearby and had an amazing time. You’ll also find many friendly foreigners around.
Definitely a must-visit beach in South Goa — peaceful, free, and totally worth it! 🌊✨
Beach sand is different when compared to other beaches around. They have good party places near beach. The bioluminescence thingy was not visible eve though we visited in best time of occurrence.

Kadamba Shri Mahadeva Temple, Tambdisurla is a 12th-century Hindu temple located in the serene surroundings of the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. The journey to this location situated in the Mollem wildlife Sanctuary was breathtakingly beautiful with lush forests on both sides of the road. The road which connnects from the main road to the location was well maintained and was a pleasure to drive on. We started off from Mapusa and proceeded to Valpoi via Bicholim, proceeeded to Honda and took a right turn at Cotorem untill we reached a junction where we took a left turn. From here the temple is about 15 km. The road is straight and simple. The road is being widened at certain areas. If you continue going right for another 7 kms you ll reach Bondla Park and Zoo. It took us about 90 minutes or so to reach this destination. A charge of Rs 10 per person is charged by the Panchayat at the Mollem Sanctuary checkpost to take care of the Garbage as per their receipt. On the way there were ample opportunities to click beautiful pics with mother Nature. Upon arrival you are greeted with the locals selling fresh flowers to offer to the temple diety for 30 Rs a bunch. (Wrapped by a large leaf) an eco-sensitive move. There are a couple of eateries which serve you lime soda, softdrinks etc. Along with mirchi pav, kaapa, maggi noodles etc. There is a small bridge built over the stream and after a brief walk (100m) leads to the main temple arena. Chilled and hygienic drinking water is available. There is toilet facility. Car parking is ample but on weekends it could get a little crowded. In one corner of the area there this beautiful tree with Pajakta flowers(parijat) also known as night jasmine. It made a pretty sight. There is provision to light incense sticks. The structure of the temple is made up of Basalt rock and has multiple carvings which has been detailed by the ASI(Goa circle) in its information board at the entrance. This place would be worth visiting during rains however no swimming is permitted which can lead to fatalities. A warning board is seen to that effect. We were lucky to see small animals such as the cute monkeys who eat from your hand, monitor lizards and mongooses. we also saw a school, a health centre and a car workshop in this area. Looks like things are developing in this area. All in all this temple is a masterpiece of a carving dated to 12th or 13th sanctuary. While in Goa, put this destination on your travel list!

My Experience at Tambdi Surla Temple
Visiting the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple was a truly enchanting experience — a perfect blend of spirituality, history, and nature. Hidden deep within the lush forests of the Western Ghats, the temple felt like a timeless treasure untouched by the modern world. As I walked along the narrow path surrounded by towering trees and the soothing sound of a flowing stream, I could already sense the sacred energy of the place.
The moment I saw the temple, I was mesmerized. Built entirely out of black basalt stone, every inch of it is adorned with intricate carvings that tell ancient stories of devotion and craftsmanship. The cool stone walls and the soft fragrance of incense inside the sanctum created a divine peace that’s hard to describe in words. The sight of the Shiva Lingam and the majestic Nandi facing it filled me with a deep sense of reverence.
What struck me most was the serene silence all around — broken only by the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves. It’s amazing to think that this 12th-century temple has stood strong through centuries, protected by nature itself.
Tambdi Surla is not just a temple; it’s an experience of divine calm, architectural brilliance, and natural beauty all woven into one. It reminded me that spirituality often resides in the quietest, most hidden corners of the world.
One of best and peaceful place . The temple is small but the architecture was very old which tells a lot of history. Temple is located middle of the forest the road was good you can easily reach the temple no need to walk. It's better take one vechile or rental cars . Public transport is also available but only 1 time from Panjim to tamde surla that reaches 2:30 pm and will back After 2:30 again to Panjim . From madgaon also you'll get but you have to change 2 more bus . Madgoan to ponda to mollem from mollem you have to take bike on rental ( piolet) they will charge 250/- per person . Beside the temple there is small channal is there and the water is very clean looks like filter water . Temple was very neatly maintained . From temple arround 1km there was a water fall is also there but when we visited in that time it was closed due to some reason. In front of temple limited snacks shops are available the taste is very good. Overall my opinion is very good place visit with your family and friends.

There is a Shivalinga inside the sanctum and pooja is still offered here. Opens at 9.00am in the morning and closes at 5.30 pm in the evening.
Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla, is that of the Kadamba style, dated 13th Cent. It is reminiscent of the temples at Aihole Karnataka.
This temple was built with Basalt, carried here from the Deccan plateau. It is perhaps the only Kadamba architecture made in Basalt. It survived all types of invasions due to it being located deep in the forests at the foot of the western ghats.
Just our floundering luck, of being unable to see the inside of this Mahadev temple. First the premises were locked and after being opened for us to troop in, the temple was not accessible , since the priest wasn't there.
I personally loved the serenity the place.
A beautiful and timeless 13th century temple built by kadambas. The Shiva Linga fills you with devotion the moment you see it. The peaceful water stream with small fishes adds to the charm. The drive to the temple is awesome, and the place is very clean and well maintained. A must-visit spot for a calm, divine experience.

Peaceful and less crowded than other beaches. Perfect for sunset view. There are 2-3 cafés too that offers good food with shacks.
Nice beach of the Goa near to madgao, clean and usually less crowded, so you can enjoy your trip. To reach there you can hire a scooter and go through the road parallel to sea. You can go any time of the day between October to February month, but evening is specially butiful.

Went there on an evening. It's very relaxing beach. But the thing is if u want to go to the beach you have a cross a very minute stream of water. The sand is usually soft. Since it was monsoon it was okay-ish. The water is clear. Dosen't have the fishy odour. The fun fact is there are people who braid your hair on a charge of 100₹ it's quite expensive. First they say it's 150₹ but I would suggest to bargain a bit.

A good guided trip in the plantation to understand the different spices, their tree and usage. The garden is well maintained. Entry fee is Rs. 500/- that includes food and tour. They have their own store for selling spices and some byproducts. Considering the charges, veg food was not up to the mark.
Spent the afternoon at this beautiful farm, and it was nothing short of magical. The wooden bridge over the creek was so beautiful. We were surrounded by nature, and enjoyed an incredible buffet made by the locals and an insightful and informative guided tour that brought the stories of all spices to life.
It was truly an authentic experience, peaceful, grounding, and full of charm. The perfect escape from the usual. Highly recommend!
A beautiful spot in Goa that everyone should experience!
I visited with my family on October 4th, 2025. The entry fee was ₹500 per person, which included a decent buffet lunch with fish and chicken dishes. Truly worth it for the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
An awesome revelation of how the spice, herb and other tropical plants and trees are grown. We were welcomed with a fabulous ready drink Solkadhi, a soothing, digestive drink made from kokum and were even offered lunch upon our reluctant leaving of the plantation. Overwhelmed at the counter which had plenty of seeds to sell thankfully, since I wasn't going to leave without them either.
Best spot for family visit. Food is unlimited and tasty. Both Veg and Nonveg options available. Staff is very cooperative and gave nice information about all the spices plants they have.
Wonderful experience at this scenic plantation. Although it is a 100 acre private property, we tour a small part of it with a guide that teaches us the therapeutic, cooking properties of the various plants grown there. We’re also served a welcome refreshing hot clear tea at entry followed by a varied sumptuous lunch buffet prior to the tour. The entry fee of Rs. 500 is worth it. Really enjoyed this trip today, recommended to us by our taxi driver whilst on holiday. We travelled a 4hr round trip to experience it and dont consider the time wasted at all. The guide was excellent, very informative with excellent English. The location is stunning. The entry included a meal which we both found was exceptional, my wife is very fussy and vegetarian and she had 2 servings. Would highly recommend it to anybody that wants to experience something unique.

Amazingly beautiful church! As per the available history, a small church was built in the year 1510 to commemorate the victory of the Portuguese over the muslim army that ruled the area. Later a new church was planned for construction on the remains of this church. The constitution was started in 1562 and completed in 1619, but the church was was consecrated only in 1640. A must visit place if you are in Goa. The church has dress code for entry. It seems they want to restrict a purely sight seeing visit inside the Church devoid of any respect or devotion.

I recently visited this beach with the hope of enjoying a relaxing day by the sea, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing for several reasons.
The beach feels extremely congested. The number of shacks, restaurants, and bars set up right along the shoreline leaves very little open space to actually enjoy the beach or its views. There's hardly any breathing room, and it’s difficult to find a peaceful spot to sit and relax. It seems like every inch of the beach is commercialized, which seriously takes away from the natural charm and openness you'd typically expect at a beach.
Another downside was the constant pestering from locals trying to sell water sports activities. While it's understandable that water sports are a part of the beach economy, it becomes frustrating when you’re approached every few minutes, even after politely declining. It really disrupts the peace and makes it hard to enjoy your time.
Most of the restaurants and beach shacks are quite overpriced, especially for the quality and portion size offered. Even basic refreshments or snacks are charged at premium rates, which seems to be targeting tourists rather than offering fair value. If you're planning to spend a day here, be prepared for high prices without necessarily getting a premium experience.
I went to Anjuna beach early morning and evening. I would say if you need less crowd and play in water it’s better to go in the early morning around 6.30Am and If you need good music and enjoy drinks then go in the evening!
Anjuna Beach has a unique charm — a perfect blend of rocky coastline, calm vibes, and bohemian culture. It’s the ideal spot if you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the busier beaches in Goa.
Take the main road and not the roads which goes from the village. We almost got lost out in nowhere the Google maps can be wrong in such a place. So take the road which are used by most peoples. The beach was very pretty. Saw the most beautiful sunset.
Not a clean beach. Other beaches like Calangute are better. Baga is also good but too much of crowd. These are all in North Goa

Do note: the fort closes by 5 PM, so plan your visit accordingly to soak in the sunset from the top.

The coastal defence planning, particularly at an estuary (a place where a river enters the sea) from the 14th to 15th century onwards, called for the construction of a fort.
Such a fort not only offered protection to the coastal areas, but more importantly, it also insulated inland areas from enemy attacks by denying the enemy inland entry through the river. Based on the same doctrine, Chapora Fort is strategically located on a high hill feature on the southern bank of the Chapora estuary.
Fort has an all-around clear view from its commanding height.
The complete hillside and the fort are surrounded by lush greenery and look beautiful. The view from the fort is simply amazing.
For the fort, full marks for its scenic beauty and the amazing 360-degree view it offers of the surroundings.
What is wrong is the neglect by the civic authorities.
Signage giving direction to the fort and to the parking areas is woefully inadequate. Parking areas need better management. At the fort itself, the Signage, the information boards are totally faded and can not be read. Fort also needs to be provided with strategically located small gazebo-like shelters where visitors can relax in the shade or be protected from the rain.
Ruins of the fort, calm and beautiful with a great view of the ocean. It can be maintained and cledned a bit more properly. Rest it is all famous for that dil chahta hai pose where that picture can be clicked. Overall a good place to hang out and chill in calmness and silence. Have a very small hike of 5 mins and you're there.

There is not much to see in the terms of the fort in my opinion, but the view is really amazing.
It's one of the highest places that can be easily climbed through a few flights of stairs.
Nothing much to do other than just look around
Beautiful place with a picturesque view of a Arabian Sea. This beach is hardly 2 kms from Chapora Fort. You have to walk uphill to this fort but in the way various small juice shops having chairs are there where you can rest and go. Paid parking available. Prices at the shops here are more or less same as other street shops in Goa. After parking your vehicle, drink one coconut water and then proceed for the fort climb as it really gives you energy.
Chapora Fort offers a decent viewpoint after a short climb of around 50–70 steps. The view from the top is quite scenic, especially if you enjoy nature and open landscapes. However, the condition of the fort itself is very poor. Most of the walls are either collapsed or in ruins, and there’s been almost no maintenance, which is disappointing for such a historic site.
A helpful tip: carry a water bottle with you. The climb, though not very long, can be tiring, especially in the heat. Staying hydrated is important.
Despite the lack of upkeep at the fort, our visit was made special by a lovely local lady (Aai). She was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She offered us freshly made limbu pani (lemonade) and genuinely asked about our well-being. It was a heartwarming moment and the highlight of our visit.
If you’re visiting Chapora Fort, don’t miss stopping by Aai’s small refreshment stall. It’s a simple but memorable experience that adds a touch of local warmth to the trip.
Also known as the "Dil Chahta Hai" Fort, it is famous for filming the widely popular movie "Dil Chahta Hai". The Fort itself is in ruins but provides breath-taking views of Vagator and Ozran beaches. You have to hike for 120 steps to reach the fort, but the climb is completely worth it. Enjoy amazing views and sit and chill with your friends, family or loved ones. The sunset views from the top of the fort are amazing. Entry is completely free and there are no tickets. However, you have to pay 30 INR for parking your scooters. Parking is available for cars as well.
I visited Chapora Fort with two other friends, just like in the film, and it was a memorable experience! The key thing to note is that there is no fort now, only ruins are there. What remains are the strong, laterite walls and a large open space on the hill top.
The journey up requires you to climb the steps to reach the ruins of the fort.
The real attraction that makes the visit worthwhile is the sea view—it is absolutely stunning. You get a clear, panoramic vista overlooking Vagator and Morjim beaches and the entire Chapora River estuary meeting the Arabian Sea.
I highly recommend visiting in the evening so you can watch the sunset as well. If you can watch it, it will be a wonderful experience and absolutely worth visiting. There are small shops at the base that offer water and other refreshment drinks, but, like every other tourist place, they felt a little bit overpriced. Go for the view and the nostalgia, and you won't be disappointed!

Arambol beach is not as good as people say online. I visited Arambol Beach in July during the monsoon after seeing so many good reviews. But honestly, it was very disappointing. The beach is way up north, so it takes a long time to reach if you’re staying in Candolim area or Central Goa.
The road to the beach is also in bad condition, full of potholes. For a state that depends so much on tourism, decent roads is a minimum requirement.
They charge 100 rupees for car parking. I don’t mind paying, but the parking area should be proper. It was not well maintained at all.
When I reached the beach, I was shocked. It was dirty. There were plastic bottles and trash. Tourists should act more responsibly, but it also seems like the local municipality doesn’t maintain it at all.
Don’t trust the online reviews blindly. Not worth visiting this beach.

It has become a big attraction and has become quite crowded in recent years. Hence, if you really want to enjoy the bounty of nature then you should visit the place early in the morning. During monsoon, as the place comes alive, many road site eateries also come into being selling tea, coffe, maggie, sweet corns, fritter (pakora) etc. As the day progresses getting parking space becomes a challenge. Their are police men trying to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and restricting people to park on the side of the road. Government has come up with a toilet complex which is a great boon for the visitors. It rains heavely and rain wear is highly recommended. I also strongly suggest to carry extra clothing as the excitement pulls people to get soaked under the waterfall(s). Amboli is a must visit place during monsoon.

Not a single time I miss going to this place, when I visit my native place. Best place, where you can take a whole lot of selfies with your friends and family.

Very nice beach to enjoy for All everyone people of all age group.Clean and tidy.There is also fish market in morning and evening where you can buy fish in bulk. People here also nice and food is also good.There is lots of water sports available like kayaking and boat surfing.They have also built a bridge recently which good for taking pictures with cool air poking you😁.Hope you enjoy.

Roads around this beach are very narrow. No proper parking facility available. Not very clean.
Good atmosphere in the evening near newly constructed bridge. Boat ride and kayaking available and enjoyable with nice people.
Mahrashtra Government really need to work hard on tourism Buisness which is bread and butter for many countries including Dubai.
Beautiful beach like Vengurla needs a proper attention by local muncipal corportation and Maharashtra government. Lack of cleanliness, narrow roads, parking issue needs to be addressed on time.

Gud beach but carry your own food hotels and hotel people are worst they will charge you for everything even if you eat there. And as compared to other beaches you can feel the sand bit rough here
Clean, less crowded, peaceful and best the blue water. This place is quite popular for all the water sports including scuba diving and parasailing. This Beach has long stretch of white sands and is lined with several trees of coconut,mango and cashews.There are bar and restaurants also available.
What an amazing place to visit 😍...felt like in heaven. Got a chance to spend one morning on the beach..coz of off-season there was absolutely nobody on whole sea line. Just close your eyes and feel the calmness of samdura raja. Water was also preety clean. BTW if there is a heaven then there should be hell...saw many beer bottles laying on the beach sand.
This is a very nice beach. Less crowded. The beach is Clean and tidy. No troubles on the beach. Good place for family outings. There is also scuba diving available here.
A sunset scene is a delightful scene, the mellow sun going down on the western horizon looks like a golden disc..

Check in Date 01 May 2025, When we reached here, we were disappointed to know that Scuba is closed, for which we had booked this MTDC resort.
We had called here before booking but no one answered,they should put some information on website or notify us after booking because this MTDC resort is exclusive for Scuba.
What you get after booking is not worth it, apart from location advantage and some good people, there is nothing good here...
Maintenance has been neglected in the entire property, the wooden pathway is completely damaged, there is grass n weed all around specially near viewpint and towards going to Beach,garden are poorly maintained,swimming pool was closed. Renovation work is going on in the property.
If you want to spend time on the beach and sleep in the room then choose this property only, except this dont hope more.

Serene and beautiful. Located right on the beach, this resort offers stunning views of the ocean from almost every corner. The property itself is beautifully landscaped, with well-maintained gardens and pathways leading straight to the beach.
The rooms are spacious & clean. Food options could have been better.

I had a fantastic experience in MTDC. The location is excellent, and the place is incredibly spacious. I had the opportunity to try scuba diving, which turned out to be a great experience. The training provided in the 18 feet deep swimming tank was thorough, with clear instructions that eased any concerns about diving.
The actual scuba dive near the lighthouse the next day, around 9-10 AM, was truly remarkable. Although the scuba prices are on the higher side, the quality of trainers, equipment, timing, and overall management make it worth the cost. In comparison to other scuba groups that offer brief 10-minute dives, MTDC IISDA provides for 30-minute dive, allowing for a more enjoyable experience.
The training caters well to both first-timers and elderly individuals. However, while the stay is good, there is room for improvement. Nevertheless, the advantage of a great location and ample parking space enhances the overall experience.
In conclusion, MTDC IISDA is an excellent choice for both accommodation and scuba training, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and frustration following our recent stay at your resort.
Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the swimming pool was completely non-functional—something that was never disclosed at any point during the booking process or prior to our visit. This omission is not only unacceptable but also extremely misleading, especially since the pool was one of the key reasons we chose this resort.
To make matters worse, the scuba diving facility has been non-operational for the past two days, removing yet another major attraction we had planned our trip around. Combined with a grueling 12-hour drive, we arrived with expectations of a relaxing and activity-filled getaway—only to be met with disappointment at every turn.
Adding to our dismay, the entire resort appears to be under construction. Large areas are covered with tarps, many amenities seem broken or outdated, and the overall environment screams for urgent renovation. It felt more like a construction site than a vacation destination.
Customer service was equally disappointing. The staff seemed disengaged, often on their phones, and showed little interest in guest experience or support.
This trip has felt like a complete waste of time, energy, and money. We expected a professional, enjoyable resort experience and instead encountered mismanagement and misleading representation. I sincerely hope steps are taken to improve transparency and service standards for future guests.
This is a beautiful resort situated right on the Tarkarli beach. It has its own private beach. This is a newly opened MTDC with Scuba diving training centre.
It's restaurant, "Dive and Dine" is open for Non-residents, too. So you can have lunch here and chill afterwards.
Food is really delicious here. We tried Surmai thali n it was awesome. Solkadi was refreshing as it was freshly made.
They take minimum 20-25 mins for the food, so it's better you order in advance
