The skating experience here was great! Went on a Saturday night and loved that it was not over crowded. The park was so cute with lights and skate rentals provided on site. There were washrooms and some staff available to help on ice. Skate aids require a helmet rental and are limited to around 4 so it’s first come first serve. We are new skaters and once on the ice, it was manageable but if you need support like rails or barriers then this may not be the outdoor rink for you. There was also ample parking on site. Would recommend.

All times fav park 😌with a lot of activities to do Chinguacousy Park, is the heart of Brampton. It is a nice park which that exemplifies natural beauty and recreational excellence. Spanning over 200 acres, the park features a diverse landscape that includes lush gardens, expansive lawns, and tranquil water features, creating a picturesque setting for relaxation and outdoor activities. It has golf, train ride fountains, farm animals, rides for children and too much to explore. And nice view from the top of the hill. One of the park’s standout attractions is its beautifully maintained botanical gardens. The vibrant floral displays, seasonal plantings, and well-designed garden beds offer a feast for the eyes and a peaceful retreat for visitors. The park's numerous walking trails meander through its natural beauty, providing scenic routes for leisurely strolls and invigorating runs. Families and children will find much to enjoy with the park’s expansive playgrounds, splash pads, and picnic areas. The serene pond and fountain offer a calming backdrop, enhancing the park’s appeal as a place for reflection and leisure. Additionally, the park hosts various community events and activities throughout the year, contributing to its lively atmosphere and strong community engagement. Overall, Chinguacousy Park combines natural beauty with recreational amenities, making it a cherished destination for both relaxation and enjoyment in Brampton.

Ok this park is awesome. We went around 11:30am so still plenty of parking. We did the petting zoo, splash pad, park and mini golf. We had alot of fun although my daughter fell at the splash pad hitting her head, saying it was quite slippery. Will take water shoes next time. Everything else is great though and will go back.

A nice and fun place for family. You can embrace nature even when you live from the city side. It has a huge playground for kids, peacful place for relaxing in the fountain side. There are tables for picnics (Clean as you go). Not too crowded especially on weekdays. Best season to catch here for me is fall. I hope this information helps. See photos for more details. Perfect place for nature-lovers…one can do brisk walk, cycling, jogging and many more other activities while enjoying the scenic beauty of greenery, water pond, blooming vibrant flowers and cool breeze. So many rides for children, along with the splash pads for kids and adults as well. One can have a great picnic time with family and friends there. If not to do anything, just sit, relax and breathe; you will find yourself in the lap of mother nature there😊😊

Perfect place for families with kids to chill out and have some fun! Less busy in the mornings. Pony rides and the petting zoo are a big win for the kids. You can rent scooters inside the park for $5. Pony rides are $4 and entry into the petting zoo is $2. Refreshments are reasonably priced too. Paddle boating is $10 for a boat for 30 mins. Overall a must visit!!

A large and very beautiful park great for having a picnic and parties with family and friends. Play areas are great for kids of all ages. It also has a splash pad and a train ride for kids. The trail is also very beautiful perfect for a walk or cycling. Kids can enjoy riding bikes or scooties on the trails as well. It also has a nice pond and some benches nearby to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Entry and parking is free and has ample parking space. Overall it is a great place to spend a day in the outdoor with your friends and family.

It’s not just an art gallery—it feels like walking through Canadian history. The collection highlights Indigenous history, culture, and traditions in such a thoughtful way, with incredible displays of clothing, artwork, and storytelling. Every room felt meaningful, and the paintings and artifacts helped me connect with the history on a deeper level. It’s the kind of place where you leave not only inspired by the art, but also more educated about Canada’s cultural roots. I highly recommend this museum to everyone—whether you’re an art lover, a history enthusiast, or even someone training to be a teacher. It’s both beautiful and educational, and definitely worth the visit. A true treasure in Ontario! Such a beautiful and meaningful place! I borrowed a pass from the library (a great tip if you have a card—you can get in for free!) and the visit was so smooth. The staff welcomed us right away, and inside the exhibits were breathtaking. The museum shares so much about Indigenous history, art, and culture, and every piece felt powerful and inspiring. A beautiful gallery nestled in a forested area, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, in the city of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, focuses on Canadian art, especially the Group of Seven and Indigenous artists. The space is peaceful, well laid out and full of natural light with a great mix of classic and contemporary works. There are walking trails just close to the gallery. A relaxing and inspiring place to spend a couple of hours, it is perfect for art lovers or anyone looking for a quiet escape. Besides the exhibits, the museum often hosts special shows, artist talks and workshops for children and adults. There's also a small cafe and a gift shop with art books, prints, and handmade items. One of the highlights of my visit was the Morrice in Venice exhibition - a glimpse into the work of Canadian artist James Wilson Morrice and his time in Venice. The collection captures the light, colour and mood of Venice in a way that feels both dreamy and grounded. The Morrice in Venice exhibition runs until September 25, 2025.

We visited the McMichael Gallery for the exhibition of Canadian artist James Morris and his Venetian cycle of paintings. The show was fairly compact but beautifully presented, with many works on loan from private collections. There was also plenty of additional material about the creation of the paintings and the artist’s biography, which made the experience even richer. The gallery itself always has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The gift shop is excellent, and I enjoy the café as well. You can also take a walk in the surrounding park - it’s easy to spend a whole day there. I usually buy an annual membership that lets me bring guests, and it’s a wonderful place to meet up with friends.

Can easily spend 2-3 hrs here, hike outdoors or admire the art indoors. Also recommend their Cafe the Cabin, the food is amazing. I had the squash soup and it was very creamy.

It's a bit of a trek from downtown Toronto, but the selections are incredible. There are a couple exhibits, including over 90,000 drawings from Nunavut West Baffin Co Op. There are many group of seven painters in this collection. The Morrice collection is fascinating, and it has many study paintings. This helps to understand the creative process.

A lovely place to spend the day. The gallery building, the grounds, and the trails are beautifully maintained. The cafe serves tasty light bites. The artwork is, well, spectacular. The history of the gallery as a private home and the collecting passion of the owners are very interesting. Well worth the drive from Toronto.

There were over 7000 Canadian exhibits displayed at Mc Micheal art Gallery and people are happy to learn about Canadian artists. If you have the time I highly recommended it, it's warranted a try. There are natural trails on the ground and Kleinburg is a quaint town to explore as well.

A wonderful little lake, excellent views and nice hiking trails. Easy access with picnic areas and parking. Did not have difficulties ourselves but for some the hike could be longer to go around. Remember where you entered , eg L1 to L18 markers.

It is very expansive and expensive to enter. Approx $28 after tax for a car of two persons. Trails were hard to navigate and very much nothing. The lakeside is lame. This place wpuld be great for a peaceful picnic. Lots of tables and space. The cost would clearly keep the population out. Its clean lots of parking.

Heart Lake is such a beautiful and wide open park. Everything is really well kept and maintained, and even the washrooms are clean, which is a huge plus. There are tons of picnic benches scattered around, so it’s easy to find a spot to sit and relax. The park has a bit of everything: a splash pad, pool, hiking trails, Treetop Trekking, and lots more to do. The entrance fee is on the steep side at around $28 per car, but it feels worth it when you see how much care goes into keeping the place nice. You can come here for a picnic, to hang out, or just to spend a day outdoors. Parking is never an issue either since there’s a ton of it, and it’s also a popular spot for people to host events.

It’s a wonderful scenic area with easy access for trails n family gatherings. Truly enjoyed a race event there. Treetop trekking is another great activity there.

We had an amazing time here! It’s a great place for a family picnic. The pool was perfect for swimming, and the lake offers a beautiful view. There were also other features we didn’t get to try, like the tree-top trekking, which would be a great option for our next holiday trip..

I did the kayaking by the lake with some friends. Customer service was great--I called a few times in advance for booking changes and was also greeted kindly and provided with support. We had a great time. Would come again.

In Parking lot, there are so many big nails. Why management is not looking into this. I saw around 8 nails in the parking lot. Be careful while parking. First you pay $28 for parking and then end up with a flat tire.

I love this park. You have it all. It has a beautiful trail along Holland River. Park is specious and you can picnic. It’s great for kids. Great for walking pets. It’s great to spend time with friends and family there. It’s also beside Main Street in Newmarket so you have access to all amazing coffee shops, restaurants and stores. Its a very beautiful park. Just next to downtown. The trees, tracks everything is super nice. Cyclist track is also there. Autumn season colors are the best here.

2022 October 4★ Fairly lake park runs along the river and as such, has multiple bridge crossings. The park is part of the Tom Taylor Trail which runs about 7 or 8 kilometres North to South. Within the park, you'll come across gazebos, benches and Kilometre Trail Markers. There's markers use natural elements, art is inspired by the environment and the native Ojibwe ancestors. 10 trail markers in total will enhance your experience and help track your journey along our trail system. Free Parking within the park or along the side streets. A playground nearby.

It was early December and it was overcast. It was not busy on a weekday Friday. Went along the east side of the lake, continued after the first bridge, to the boardwalk. Crossed the second bridge, then came back from the west side of the lake. The loop was pretty short and easy.

Also known as Wesley Brooks Conservation Area is a great place for everyone. However, need to be careful of the cyclists as a lot of them are just going way too fast even though the paths are so supposed to be shared with everyone. Yet I had to pull my kids over many times because they don't even slow down or stop even for little kids. Some don't even give warnings that they are coming. Still the kids enjoyed the boardwalk and the playground.

A big lake park with so much greenery and biking space. You get to see Canada goose and their poop ( be careful not to stamp on) all around you. Fortunately we saw the Beaver hanging around the pool that connects the two sides of the park. Play zone is quite beautiful.

Beautifully manicured and a trail big enough for walking, biking and other summer activities. There is a lot of wild life around and tree coverage. It's a beautiful spot to walk - dog friendly as well!

A beautiful walkway with trees covered with lights, which makes it a wonderful place to take pictures at night. We were coming back from a New Year’s Eve party, and when we drove by Newmarket Riverwalk comments, everyone wanted to go walk and take pictures. And that’s what we exactly did in the first hours of 2024

Riverwalk Commons is truly within the heart of Newmarket. Live concerts, outdoor theatre/movie nights, farmers markets… there’s always something happening. On a day when it’s quieter in the area, there is a beautiful, looping trail that goes around the pond in Fairy Lake. It’s accessible for wheelchair and other various mobility devices to utilize year-round, and even in the winter, the paved path seems to be fairly well-kept and clear of snow and debris. In the summer, there’s a clean and open-access splash pad that’s always bustling with activity. There’s a ramp leading into the water, which is perfect for young children or those using mobility aids. In the winter, it’s turned into a skating rink that’s maintained by the town throughout the day and they (may) have support bars available for those less confident in their skating skills. Along Riverwalk Commons, there are tons of small shops and local businesses within walking distance. Walk 500 metres to Main Street and you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants, some offering live music on certain nights. Like many small town Main Streets, it’s family-friendly and bustling with events and activities during the day, although it’s important to travel in pairs and in well-lit areas at night, especially if you’re taking advantage of the various late-night restaurants and local bars. The older buildings are well-maintained and some have been turned into historic sites to learn more about the rich history of the Newmarket area. There are tons of hidden gems and no matter how many times you visit, there’s always something new to discover.

A great place to walk around and enjoy. It is very next to the Newmarket's Mainstreet, which was part of the first settlement in the area. Several good restaurants, cafes, and bars are on Mainstreet.

They have really done a great job at the Riverwalk Commons and children had a lot of fun playing in the Splash pad. We went to the music in the park from 7 to 9pm and it was a blast. Great music in spite of the rain.

Great place to wander around and easy pathways. There’s a wading pool with change rooms, paved path around the Fairy Lake to stroll around, children’s playground and plenty of free parking.

Imagine walk beside the river and after that you will find yourself in hearth of Newmarket downtown with several good restaurants and bars also there is a great community which has a lot of fun programs such as music festivals and place for kids to play (technically it is water playground)

This is one of the best malls in Ontario. It is one of my favorite places to go. There are not too many people there and the space is big enough to, not feel uncomfortable. Free and not rushed.

Love visiting Upper Canada Mall! The washrooms are clean, and both floors are easy to get to via stairs, escalators, or elevator. The food courts are good with some halal options, and Toys “R” Us has a fun play area that my son absolutely loves. Great shopping experience overall!

I come here almost twice a week as seniors is incredibly empowering, not so crowded, friendly people and sales person. Everything you want to buy is there at a reasonable price, very clean, bus outside parking big free come and get it. Enjoy the Aircon on summertime.

Was told by an employee I can get a refund. Went to the store and was told that I can only get credit. Explained to them that an employee gave me the wrong information. They refused to make an exception. Ask for the name of the store manager and was told that I can't have it. Referred me to concierge. I told them I can't get through for days now. They said they they respond within 24 hours.I told them I contacted them more than 24 hours ago.They told me they're backed up. One BS answer after another. How do these people stay in business?

Upper Canada Mall is a great place to shop. The mall is always very clean, well-organized, and has a wide variety of stores to choose from. Whether you’re shopping for clothing, electronics, home goods, or just want to grab a bite to eat, you’ll find everything here. It’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to spend time.

Lots of trees and trails, no natural beach, pay to enter swimming pool/splash pad. Many serviced campsites have trees on 3 sides, non serviced sites are more open. Only 1 shower/ laundry bldg, otherwise vault toilets at each camp area. Scout out the trails to get to shower and pool quicker. Serviced site 111 closest to shower.

Had a fantastic hike with friends over the long weekend. The fall colors were absolutely beautiful, and the trails were wonderfully quiet. We paid about $27 for three people, which was very reasonable. A word of caution: beware of ticks! They seem to be extremely active here in October and November. One of the little hitchhikers decided to come home with me. A thorough check once you get back is highly recommended!

It is an amazing place for hiking. The natural habitat and the edifice there makes it an ideal place for weekend picnics, retreat and even recollection of the soul. What amazed me there was the 100 years old cabinet used to produce maple 🍁 syrup. Mind you it's also having a mountain biking trail. It's an amazing place for relaxation and fun.

October 2025 3* Visited the place with my kids over the weekend. It is good place if you are looking for good picnic spot and splash pad for kids in summer. Also this place offer great options for treking and biking. There are many trek for biking and walking with different difficulty level. The is entry ticket for the park. The park charge $9 per adult and $7 per kids. So quite a good amount if you are big group. However there is not much to see in terms of fall colours. Lake has dried up so you can not experience it. Other big issue is that the place has ticks and need to be careful if you going in the wood. So if you are looking to visit, ensure that you are wearing light colour trouser, tuck in socks, ankle covering shoe, mosquito repellent on feet and use brush to clean yourself. Be careful if you are planning to visit with kids and check throughly after return.

Nice location with water/electric hookups. Campsites are pretty close together. Laundry room with 3 washers ($3/load) and 2 dryers ($2/load). Showers were disappointing. No place to put your clothing + shower curtains were covered in mold/mildew.

I visited Albion Hills Conservation Area on a Sunday, just a few days after my disappointing experience at Sibbald Point. The difference was truly remarkable. Here, the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and welcoming. The entire park was clean and well-maintained, from the picnic areas to the walking trails. Even the washrooms were impressively tidy — only one of them seemed to have been left messy by visitors, not due to a lack of cleaning. Compared to the chaos and litter at Sibbald Point, Albion Hills felt like a completely different experience. It was clear that the staff are attentive and take pride in keeping the park enjoyable for everyone. A wonderful place to relax, connect with nature, and recharge. I will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and well-managed park.

Fantastic trail for a late morning hike. The scenery is amazing especially in late October!

For my first camping experience, I couldn’t have chosen a better location than Sibbald Point. The campground offered ample space for parking and setting up multiple tents; we comfortably managed with two tents and one car, and still had plenty of room to spare. The site is meticulously maintained, with a variety of amenities that enhance the experience. There’s a beach and a boat area for water activities, designated spots for BBQs, and a food area, ensuring that all your outdoor needs are covered. One of the highlights is the abundance of washrooms conveniently located around each campsite, making the stay more comfortable. The campsites themselves are surrounded by trees, providing a sense of privacy and seclusion, which added to the overall enjoyment. Additionally, the proximity to a nearby neighborhood was a bonus. It’s reassuring to know that if you forget something or need to stock up on food or supplies, everything you need is just a short drive away. Sibbald Point truly offers a well-rounded camping experience, making it a perfect choice for both first-timers and seasoned campers alike.

Overall I recommend this beach. The beach has plenty of parking most of the time. My family has a season pass as we go here often as its close by. The beach is great for young children as they can go out fairly far and it is still shallow. There are also cool rocks to either fish from or snorkel. We camped here one time and it was a decent experience. One down side is the need to pre-register for each day use, although if you can get passed this its not bad. Another downside is because it's close to Toronto it gets many sketchy and disrespectful people. When we camped with my family and children the camper next to our site started blasting evil music with curse words in it and when we asked them to turn it down they didn't care. The park ranger ended up having to talk to these campers and give them a warning. Also almost every time we get a picnic table near the beach and start using it with our stuff all over it some disrespectful people place their belongings on our picnic table that we are using. I think it's a cultural thing and these recent immigrants don't understand Canadian values and respect for peoples space. Other than these incidents, this park is beautiful and fun for my family so we still will end up going here due to it being close and convenient.

Beautiful spot. You can do a lot of beach activities. You need to bring your own canoe or kayak as rentals are not provided in the provincial park. Couple of Canadians and refugees were feeding sea gulls. Please avoid doing that. Other than that lake simcoe is love.

Spent two nights camping here and absolutely loved every minute. The grounds are very well kept as are the facilities. Such a beautiful and relaxing experience. Took a tour of the little museum and visited the shops as well, friendly staff. The water is clean as was the beach, overall a great place. Highly recommended. We left the dogs at home this trip but the lots are roomy enough to bring your pets and the dog beaches are easy accessible. It would be great if you could get a paddle boat or jetski rental nearby but you can bring your own as they do not have any on site or nearby.

Great place to camp not too far from Toronto. Sobeys is just a 9 minute drive away if you need more groceries. Camp grounds can be noisy, especially in the west camp where there are electric outlets. People blast music on loud speakers, sing and hold parties both at camp sites and at the beach, but it was lively and fun since they happened to play good music when we stayed there. Things quieted down before 11 pm. Electric outlets come in handy for people with electric cars, RVs, campers. Also many of us used the plugs to pump air mattresses, charge cell phones, etc. One family had string lights decorating their camp site at night which was pretty. Beautiful beach and lake for day trips or to enjoy while camping. Beach gets busy and crowded but we got there for 10 am on a Saturday and had a nice picnic table by the lake. Staff at the front gate and at the little amphitheatre were friendly and helpful. It was educational to go to amphitheatre to learn more about bugs. They had nets and containers for visitors for catching bugs which are then gently released back into the meadow. Be careful about ticks! I’ve attached the warning from the guide/guide to the park.

This park offers a great camping experience with beautiful natural views. The beach is decent for swimming, and there aren't many mosquitoes. However, the washroom cleanliness could be improved, and the provided toilet paper is of low quality—it's best to bring your own. On the bright side, the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful park with nice beach and facilities. We visit every year with our family. There is a daily ticket per vehicle that is affordable. You can bbq with the following of safety rules. Make sure you clearly understand the law - drinking alcohol beverage in public is not allowed and we witnessed some people being charged by the Police.

We came here on a weekend to shop and it was pretty ok in terms of walk in traffic, not very crowded which I liked. The outlet offers a wide range of stores in almost every category. It has most of the top clothing brands. However, there is a lack of luxury brands which might be due to the further location form main cities. The whole outlet design, in terms of stores, is pretty nice and spacious. There is a small space for food court and sitting, which compared to the outlet size might come out a bit small. There is not enough seats and tables for the amount of traffic they host daily. Also, the variety of food is not that good. This could have had some better food brands to bring more variety. There is a tim hortons, which is a staple in every food court and is good. There is plenty of free parking outdoor and its usually easy to find a spot even when its busy. Washrooms are also pretty clean and stocked up as well. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, however, I might find pretty more well located and more varied outlets around the city than this one, so coming back might not be an option.

Great place to shop with excellent options for name brands and designer clothing. There is plenty of parking and it is ideally located off the highway exit. A cool place to shop.

If you're heading north of Toronto, it’s a must-stop. I always leave with something I love and never regret the drive. Almost all brands have a branch here like Coach, Nike, Puma, Tommy, Calvin Clain ... Parking is free and there’s always plenty of space. It’s family-friendly and feels safe and welcoming whether you're just browsing or out on a serious shopping mission.

A short visit to Tanger Outlets Cookstown is a well-regarded shopping center with a wide variety of stores, dining options, and amenities. Its convenient location near major highways makes it easily accessible for a day trip from Barrie or the Greater Toronto Area.

There are lots of major brands factory outlets with good deals. The collection is good. Space is sparely crowded so one can shop peacefully. The common sizes are easily available and in stock at most stores. Food opts are not much but if needed you can grab a quick bite.

I am their customer since 2017. I went there almost 3 times a year. They have very good deals most of the time. They changed the Tanger application recently so new app is much better than the old one. The new customer evaluation and rewards system is much better. The deals in the new app is really fantastic. The Under Armour and Columbia always has a good deal. The Mall is very clean and quiet. The only thing I believe they can improve is the number and verify of the restaurant and fast food. I highly recommend.

Get a day pass before reaching the gate, because there are no staff in the vicinity, and it will take a few minutes if you try to do that from the gate and there will be a line up behind you. There are no benches in the parking lot, or on trails. It's a bit hike on all trails initially and some almost throughout so be aware of that, moderate to tough climb. Bathrooms are very dirty, so be prepared. Property (a Barn) beside the parking lot appears to be a private property, no trespass there, not even when walking a dog. There is no picnic area at this park unless you use the parking lot. There are no tables either. The hike starts right from the parking lot. Not many birds there either. A good place for super hikers, and for average people, all 7 hikes are tough hikes.

Best hike I've been to so far! Very rugged terrain, full of nature, loved the scenic views and the many trails you can take throughout. Best advice to give is that you cannot enter the park without purchasing in advance online. There was a sweet old couple trying to come in when I was leaving so I helped them understand that they need a smartphone, they need a credit card, and they need to go on a website. It's frustrating because they don't understand any of that and so they don't get to enjoy the park because of it. I know having a staff member sit there would be expensive but there needs to be an option for people who don't understand the online world. They deserve to see the beauty of the park too.

Hiked Mono Cliffs in late summer and was captivated by its tranquil trails. Spillway and McCarston’s Lake paths weave through lush forests and serene ponds, while the Cliff-Top Side Trail’s lookout deck reveals stunning Niagara Escarpment vistas. Jacob’s Ladder’s staircase adds a fun, rugged twist. Book parking in advance via Ontario Parks—spots fill fast. Bring sturdy shoes, water, and a map due to patchy cell service. Washrooms are basic but functional. Great for hiking, but picnic facilities are limited to basic tables. A must for nature lovers!

Good place to hike. It didn’t take long to complete and it has nice views. It’s an easy hike and beginners would love it. Some section has slight steep incline, use a stick or hiking poles for support.

The trails are decent and it's big enough to get lost... Especially since there's no signal. We found the bathrooms gross, the smell was so intense you couldn't even walk in. The cliff area felt more like a photoshoot area as well. Thought there would be more substance to them, it was kinda underwhelming. Overall it was a decent experience but they need to clean up the washrooms and get some cellphone reception.

Lovely park with some amazing scenic views. Most stunning and popular are the scenic rock cliffs. I was expecting it to be more busy on a Saturday early afternoon but it was actually pretty quiet and peaceful walking the trails and admiring the scenic rock cliffs. They also have a few great lookout points that are photo taking worthy with friends and loved ones. There is plenty of local fauna and flora here for you to discover during your hike. It's also a great spot for bird watching. Lots of exposed and raised tree roots on the trails so be careful. The green Cliff-Top Side Trail has the most scenic views.

This is a very nice park for anyone to enjoy. We went for a long walk right on the waterfront and stopped to workout at the outdoor workout stations along the way. There are benches and washrooms available. Parking is easy and close to the walking path. From the park there are many coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance. There was a large playground for children as well.

Nice beach front in Barrie city, every year during the civic holiday in August, they have the Kempenfest festival and it is such a nice weekend long event. Nice concerts, food, crafts and much more!

A wonderful and quiet place in the heart of the city with a variety of views and sports. Lush green lawn, basketball courts, a wide range of watersport activities, beautiful trails and lot more. Great place to reflect on Canadian history and have a moment of reflection. Ron Baird's Spirit Catcher. He states that the inspiration for his sculpture stemmed from the oral traditions of the Anishinaabe. I photographed this sculpture using a Kodak Brownie Bullet. This camera was manufactured in the same year that numerous residential schools opened their doors. For example the "Amos Indian Residential School" (1955-1973) was essentially a concentration camp where thousands of innocent children were mercilessly abused at the hands of the Church. When I removed the film roll my finger slipped and the 127 spool loosened a lot. They allowed for massive light leaks and caused major damage before I secured it. The damage to the film stock is indicative of the damage done to the European and Anishinaabe relationship. Furthermore the light leaks appear as if they are erasing the sculpture much like Canada's efforts to erase Indigenous people.

There is nothing but one sculpture, for that will have to pay 10 dollars for just one hour parking. Does not worth it

The Spirit Catcher- the big sculpture is little on the hill. So view was great! And also a harbor was there. So can see many boats too. Parking lot fee is $1 a hour.

Beautiful boardwalk, so in love with it: excellent for family times, biking, long walking (I did 10 km back and forth). With the autumn, you don't even notice that you do the workout : it's so beautiful out there

Very big metal statue of a thunderbird called Spirit Catcher donated in 1986. Created by Artist Ron Baird. Looks rustic. Parking is available right beside the statue but it is not free. We came in the winter months and the path is not clear so you have to climb over snowbanks if you want to get closer to the plaques to read information about the art installation. It’s a good 5 min break or for a quick drive by as a point of interest if you happen to be in the area.

We had a great time! Our room was upgraded to a jr suite, which was awesome. It was huge, comfortable and very nice. The pool area and sauna/steam rooms were perfect after a long day of walking the casino floor. The property was really nice too, lots of apple trees down the walking trail.

Amazing resort. I am not much for gambling, but really enjoy the concert venue. Rooms are beautiful, very clean and spacious. Great staff. Food at Match Restaurant is excellent (we didn’t get to try the others). Tim’s on site is open 24 hrs. Lovely shops as well featuring local indigenous artists. Well worth the drive!

The hotel is very nice, and decorated beautifully. Room was large and clean. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, some at reasonable prices. I'm not really a casino person but it seemed ok but hate to see live dealers replaced with machines on craps and roulette.

Rama Casino is definitely one of the best casinos in Ontario. It’s a great spot for entertainment and enjoyment, especially for spending weekends. The gaming platforms are exciting, and if played properly, there’s a good chance of getting returns and having fun at the same time. The only area I’d say could improve is the complimentary drinks — taste-wise, they aren’t the best quality. Otherwise, everything else is excellent. Overall, I would give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars.

2024 September 2.5★ Located near the port, this beach is small and has a lot of pebbles. A small playground and washrooms are available, but really, It's just an ok beach. It would be better if the beach was combed and rocks removed. No dog signs are around, but you still see them there. People need to be more considerate for everyone and at the very least, pick up after your dog. Otherwise, the waters are ok. Overall, the beach is fine for those in the area. However, not quite a place to venture on to.

It's such a beautiful beach park in Orillia. Water is so clean, almost transparent. Sand was so nice. The water was cold but still we enjoyed this beautiful beach a lot. All the areas in the park, slides, and picnic shelter all were very nice and clean. We look forward to returning here again!!

Couchiching Beach is a charming spot located in Orillia, Ontario, perfect for a relaxing day by the water. After lunch we took a stroll down to the waterfront in Orilla, and to our surprise it was absolutely beautiful. This was our first time visiting the waterfront. There were plenty of trails to walk, a couple of sandy beach spots with public washrooms/change rooms, a fantastic kids jungle gym, splash pad and an outdoor theatre. Plenty of picnic tables and beautiful grounds to have a picnic with your family and friends. There were many options for snacks and ice cream to purchase, and the nearby restaurants are a short walk.

Beautiful beach located in Orilia. A great place for the family. Kids can enjoy the small park, a short train ride and safe swimming for all to enjoy. Well maintained area (clean bathrooms facilities, and green areas). Enjoy admiring the boats along the water horizon. With a welcoming community, this beach park is a must to visit with the family!

The entire waterfront was under construction, part of the Centennial was closed. Managed to find a parking near the railway for kids. The scenery along the boardwalk was beautiful. Still in late May, not many boats in the water yet. A little windy, pretty quiet.

Great beach, very spacious with lot of trees and spacious park, picnic tables, some playgrounds for kids and a train ride for all ages. Great for family. Lot of free parking. It also has a restroom.

Tried Snow Valley out because they were running the Wednesday night Slide and Dine promo. It was the best value for skiing I've had in years! $35 gets you a evening lift pass and dinner with a drink. We had poutine, and it was delicious. The ski conditions were great. Lots of fresh powder and nicely groomed hills. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a chairlift, in fact most times there was no lineups at all! The runs are short and nothing too challenging, but we had a really fun time! The chalet had nice wood fires burning to warm up by and dry out your gear. Thought it was a nice touch. Will definitely return again. Free parking right in front of the chalet too! We skied right to the car :)

My daughter and I had a blast during our visit. Weekday all day! Staff are super friendly and helpful. Clean and organized. We were going up and down until 4:30 in the afternoon. Will definitely be back!

Had a lovely day skiing. Nice groomed hills and all the staff I encountered were lovely and helpful. I find the price is a bit steep for tickets and rentals. I also struggled to find anything online about the food options on site making it a bit annoying to plan for the day. I also think each hill should have a marker at the beginning. Some do and some don't.

We had a great time with family. I have 2 kids, 1 above 42 inch (8 years old) and the other one under 42 inch (3 years old). A lot of resorts around us don’t have options for little ones, which is why we chose to go here. The older one had the best time ever and so did the little one, we were 4 adults and 2 kids. We went on a weekday so we took 5 all day passes above 42 inch and 1 all day pass under 42. We alternated spending time at the kidz zone while the other ones enjoyed the big slide. The wait time was nothing for the big tubing slides. At one point I was even able to go up and down in 10 minutes. Weekdays are the best. The slides were fun enough for a 3 years old. The 2 zones, are right beside each other and beside the cafeteria so it works out perfectly. The whole family had fun. The only negative point was the wait at the cafeteria, more than 30 minutes just to order food and then you have to wait for the food.

Came on a Monday and got all day passes for snow tubing since we didn't realize the 2-hour passes aren't sold on this day. We ended spending 3 and a half hours so it worked out. The snow falling during our visit was so beautiful too! There was at least one school field trip here at the same time but despite that, the process of getting up the lift and taking turns to snow tube down are pretty organized. Giving 5/5 stars for all the kind and courteous employees. A special shout out to the employee who we requested to push us as hard as he could down the steepest hill. He delivered and we sped and spun down the hill for our last ride of the day which was so fun. Thanks again man!!

Great place to visit with friends and family. We did the tubing and it was on a weekend. We were able to do so many turns and it was a smooth experience. The staff is amazing considering they’re out in the cold through out the day but they’re always smiling and nice to everyone. Had a great time!

Tubing is fun here at Snow Valley Ski Resort. We did not buy our ticket online as we are not sure if Monday is open for tubing. But I recommend that you buy a ticket ahead of time as there is no assurance that you can get to the location. The lady was really nice on that day. She allows us to get in and have a ticket from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for $45.00 each person. Is it worth it? Yes, it does. We have so much fun!

We enjoyed our stay here during March break for a ski vacation. The hill is nice and well maintained and the cost was good for the ski package. The pool is nice but a bit crowded as they allow people from off resort to use it. The food is the low point see my review on that below.

Rooms are outdated. Definitely not for adults. We tried the “glow in the dark” mini golfing, and it was just strips of coloured LED lights. We had to hold our flashlights to play. Kayaking was fine. However, we got tickets for 10 people and when we got to the water, they didn’t have enough kayaks. They should have told us in advance that they wouldn’t have enough. Also, everything closes pretty early. Spend your money elsewhere.

We stayed in a loft room in the hotel. The room is dated and was not cleaned very well. For the price we paid it was extremely disappointing. The railing up to the loft is all chipped and the carpeted stairs are dirty. There are stains on every piece of furniture. Honesty, I really did not want to sit on them. There were chips left under the chair in front of the fireplace from the previous guest, and the stairs were dirty going down to the fireplace. The bathrooms and bed seemed clean. The service was amazing. The food at the Crazy Horse restaurant was excellent. I was extremely disappointed to see all the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap made in China... Can you not support a Canadian Company in any province???

We did not stay overnight. We spent the day this past summer, experince are abundant and staffs are friendly. We did the mining experiment, ski lift, wall climbing, pulled tube on the beach, mini golf. And we did treetop trekking with separate cost. Perfect activity for family

The hotel stay was nice but you will not get to enjoy privacy of the amenities like the pool and hot tub because the residents that had special need (autism) will be in your face (closer than 30cm) constantly asking what your favourite colour is and not listening to you at the same time, while following you around. Their care givers will not do anything because they expect you to give extra attention otherwise you’re not a good person. I feel for the families that have special need children and I respect them, but following this incident I feel the individuals monopolized the area where others have to give out their rights in order to make ways for the special needs. Edit: in response to the owner’s comment, please review the fact that the disabled individuals (male) are constantly FOLLOWING girls around, intruding a safe distance and CORNERING the girls to “answer their questions”. If expecting the least bit of help and support is called “wanting exclusivity” then I have no words. Putting the victim in blame because the other party is disabled discarded the last bit of expectation that the management and security of the resort can do the right thing. Best of luck!

Horseshoe resort didn't meet our expectations.Old building needs renovation. Dirty,stained armchairs in the lobby. Crowded small outdoor pool. Five 🌟 to staff and one to a manager. Breakfast isn't included. At the front desk, was one staff member who was doing a job for two. There is no beach,it's a small pond for kids to play. For the same amount of money that we had to spent here, we decided to go to Dominican all-inclusive next time. And 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟 to staff. Young guys are doing a really great job there!

Just finished a 3 day/2 night stay in a slope side room. Staff have always been friendly, food at the Iron Horse is good but a bit pricy and we had to wait about 45 minutes for dinner. When we entered our room and had ice cubes fall on the floor I wiped the floor and it was so dirty. We couldn’t walk bare foot in the room as your feet were filthy from the dirty floors. Don’t think they had been moped or it was the same dirty water used from other room. Quite disappointing for paying $856 for 2 nights. My real concern is we killed 2 cockroaches at 3:30am and when I informed the desk at check out there was no discussion or offer of discount etc. The back 9 on the golf course is horrendous as there is no irrigation and it’s been a dry summer. Even the greens are brown and the ground is all cracked. They shouldn’t be charging people for 18 holes when only 1/2 of the course is what I’d call a golf course. Golf price definitely needs to be adjusted to the cost of only 9 holes.

We had such an amazing time on the Muskoka Steamship "Pirate" Boat Trip! I went with my 6-year-old daughter and her grandparents, and it was the perfect family outing. The experience was so fun and interactive, the crew did a fantastic job keeping the kids entertained the whole time. It was also budget-friendly, with affordable drink options on board. I loved that there were lots of seating choices both inside and outside, so you could enjoy the beautiful views no matter the weather. The boat was also accessible, with washrooms and even an elevator on board, which was great. This is such a fantastic family vacation idea, and there’s lots to see and do in the area before or after your cruise. We would definitely go back ... highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun, affordable, and memorable day with the family!

Today, we had the pleasure of taking a delightful 2.5-hour cruise on the beautiful Lake Muskoka. The weather couldn’t have been better—warm sunshine, calm waters, and fresh air all around. The entire journey was accompanied by captivating stories told by our knowledgeable guide. Lake Muskoka is truly vast, stretching roughly 30 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide, with depths reaching up to 70 meters in many places. The cruise departed from Gravenhurst, just about 150 kilometers north of Toronto—a perfect distance for a day trip. What makes this lake so unique is not just its size, but the sheer number of islands scattered across its waters—each with its own charm and story. At one point during the cruise, we sailed through a narrow channel between two islands, only 9 meters wide. The ship passed so close to the shores that it felt like you could reach out and touch the trees. It was magical. This incredible experience was made possible by Muskoka Steamships, a company that operates two historic vessels on the lake. One of the ships is an astonishing 125 years old and still proudly cruising. Both offer a variety of tours—with or without meals on board—and provide an unforgettable way to explore this iconic Canadian destination. We loved every minute of it. The cruise, the scenery, the stories—it was all absolutely worth it.

A great way to see the Autumn colors around Muskoka Lake. The trip takes about 2.5 hours. The wharf and the boat are clean and well maintained. The staff are nice and the guide is very knowledgeable about the history of the lake and surrounding lake.

Reservations made in advance made it very simple and easy to get our printed tickets. The 2 1/2 hour trip was wonderful and the host extremely well versed in the Muskoka lakes trip was outstandingly and humoursly informative.

Muskoka Brewery is a great stop if you’re in the area. They’ve got a solid selection of drinks to choose from, whether you're into craft beer or just trying something new. The place has a relaxed, vacation-y vibe — perfect for a casual afternoon. They also have some really cute merch and even a few fun, fragrant hand soaps that caught my attention. All in all, it’s a cozy, welcoming spot that fits right in with the laid-back Muskoka feel. And don’t forget to play a quick round of cornhole while you’re there P.S. — the images isn’t of the brewery itself, it’s from the Muskoka cruise — just wanted to share the overall feel of the place!

Detour ISA it’s the best Canadian beer. It’s just perfect. One the best beer recipe around the world. Should be sold everywhere not only in Canada, other countries should know what’s this guy do.

Was a fantastic stop on our way to Algonquin! Awesome beer selection and a cozy, welcoming vibe. The tall guy behind the bar was on another level. I accidentally ordered the wrong drink, and he immediately offered to replace it without any hesitation. I tried the beer flight with the bartender’s choice, and you could tell he really put thought into the selection. It really made my day after a long drive from Waterloo.

This place is truly incredible — I highly recommend everyone to come and try it! It’s the most delicious beer in Ontario. The people who work here are very friendly and professional. After visiting this place just once, you’ll never forget it.

I went to Santa’s Village with my family and honestly, I had never heard of it before. When we arrived, I was really surprised by how much fun it was! The new Yeti roller coaster was a blast — my kids loved it and we went on it many, many times. The whole place has a great family vibe and lots to do for kids of all ages. Just a heads up, there are only a few food stands, so it’s best to plan ahead and line up early for lunch before the crowds. Overall, it was a fantastic family day and we’ll definitely be back!

10 Stars, great place to take the family, likely to be enjoyed by kids under 10 but still great for all, staff at all the rides and venues are super friendly not like most Carneys, only food is extra and a few additional like Elf ID card etc, not constant cash grab , there is a gift shop at entrance/ exit. Food was good, rides were good and Yeti coaster was excellent. Great value for your money, free parking even, went on a Saturday and no wait in any line, absolutely amazing experience. Recommend 100%

We had an amazing time at Santa Village! The natural surroundings are absolutely beautiful — tall trees, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true getaway from the city. It’s the perfect place for families, especially with young kids. The attractions are really well done and fun for all ages. Our children had a blast exploring all the rides and activities. Everything felt safe, clean, and well-organized. What really stood out to us was the Halloween event — it was magical! The decorations, costumes, and themed activities created such a fun and spooky atmosphere without being too scary for the little ones. It was clear that a lot of thought and effort went into making it special. Santa Village is a fantastic destination for a day trip or weekend adventure with the family. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Spent the day at Santa's Village with the family. An annual trip to Santa's Village is a family tradition and we always look forward to it. The weather was hot today but it didn't bother us at all as we were able to remain cool thanks to the breeze coming off the water and blowing through the trees.That is one of the things I love about Santa's Village, that it is nestled in amongst the trees along the riverside. The rides are great and the natural setting is a beautiful bonus. This visit we were able to test out the new roller-coaster The Yeti! It got two thumbs up from every member of the family except the youngest. We also rode on our family favourite rides like Santa's Summer Sleigh, The train, and the Pepermint Penguin. We decided to give the Yule Log a try for lunch and we're pleasantly surprised. Service was fast and friendly and there was something on the menu to please everyone. Added bonus was the AC and washrooms inside. The highlight of Papa's day was attending Elf School. A fun time was had by all! It is always worth the drive to Bracebridge as every summer needs a bit of Christmas magic!

My wife and I took our daughter. We went this year during the Halloween Spooktacular. She loved the rides had a blast. This is a great family fun park. 2nd time we have gone here, will take her again. Staff was also really friendly. Ohh and got to meet Santa early. Highly recommend for family fun

The Pumpkin in the Pines trail, cheerful inflatables, and riverside photo spots made it feel truly magical, and staff kept lines moving and areas spotless. Big thumbs up for the new Yeti Trek coaster: smooth, zippy, and just the right dose of thrills for families without being intimidating. We stopped here on our way to Huntsville and had such a great time! I visited as a kid, but it was even better coming back with my family. Our daughter loved every part of the day—especially the elf training! The rides were a lot of fun for the whole family, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The lines weren’t too bad, and we were pleasantly surprised that the food and ice cream were very reasonably priced. The Yeti Trek Rollercoaster is definitely a must-do! We’ll most likely be back again next summer for another fun visit.

We were short on time, but Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre still ended up being one of the highlights of our day! Even in a quick visit, we saw lots of animals, which was such a nice surprise. One of the staff members even brought out a bird for us to see up close – such a cool experience! All the staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Definitely worth coming back for a longer visit next time. Great spot for nature lovers and families.

We had a wonderful at the marsh. Staff were friendly and helpful. We walked the trails which were well maintained and beautiful. At the marsh we saw turtles, frogs and lots of birds (3 lifers!). After walking, we took the canoe tour which takes about 20-30 min. it was fun to enjoy the waters in a different perspective. The highlight for me was watching some Sandhill Cranes flying above the marsh - magical! We loved it here, definitely a must see for nature and bird lovers.

Wye Marsh Wildlife Conservation Area is a beautiful place to spend the day! Admission is only $12 per person, and it’s well worth it. They do incredible work helping injured wildlife recover and survive, which makes visiting feel even more meaningful. There are lots of peaceful trails to explore and a really nice boardwalk with amazing views. A perfect mix of nature, wildlife, and relaxation

We had a fantastic time visiting Wye Marsh with our toddler. It was the perfect mix of nature, wildlife, and space to explore. Our little one loved spotting turtles, frogs, and a wide variety of birds along the trails. We even got lucky and saw some migratory cranes flying overhead, such a special moment. The marsh is peaceful and well maintained, with easy paths. It’s a great spot to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and connect as a family. Highly recommended for anyone with young kids looking for an accessible nature experience.

I just found this hidden gem while coming back from muskoka region . I just stopped nearby to fill gas and had sometime to kill before heading home , luckly I found this place and kids loved it. Marsh land wildlife is quite different from the rest and at the end of fall season , we didn't see a lot of wildlife but place is still an experience for us.

This was such a wonderful spot to visit with the family, especially with small kids. We had a really relaxing time and loved that our dog was welcome too! Be sure to bring your own snacks since there aren’t any food vendors or vending machines around. It’s the perfect place to enjoy some time in nature, and we found the birds of prey to be absolutely fascinating to watch! You do have to pay to get in.

Amazingly well thought out facility, if you enjoy nature and want to experience the incredible biodiversity of our wetlands, be sure to visit. This is a not for profit, so be sure to bring some extra spending money to support such a noble cause.

We had just gone up to visit and see the church and the overall shrine together as a family. It was recommended to us by another family member who had gone. There was a pilgrimage and they were celebrating the Virgin of Guadalupe. The space itself was magnificent. Big open fields and lots to do. We didn’t realize we could have a picnic there. We were able to bring our dog along (keep in mind, pets are not allowed inside the actual church) to walk around the overall shrine. There was lots of parking space and accessible bathrooms. The only complaint I guess I had was that entry fee was $10 per person. I know that’s not a lot but especially with a big family it got pretty costly. Otherwise beautiful place.

This is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The church is located on the highest hill in the area and is beautiful inside and out. Relics of the martyrs are inside and can be viewed. The grounds are well kept with several shrines and an area called "Brebeuf's Prayer Garden". What impressed me most was the canes and crutches on the walls of the shrine left by people who claim to have been healed here.

Martyrs’ Shrine is a truly special place. The church and grounds are peaceful, beautiful, and full of history. It’s a meaningful site where you can reflect, pray, or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere. The architecture is inspiring, and the staff and volunteers are welcoming and kind. Whether you visit for spiritual reasons or to learn more about the Canadian Martyrs, this shrine leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Midland area.

Beautiful place of worship. Many friends and family have indicated their prayers have been answered when praying here. I am not of Christian faith however after visiting here for the first time I can definitely feel the energy. They have a casing of Father Brebeauf's skull which is also very unique.

Remarkably stunning and memorable, the Martyrs Catholic Church Shrine is a testament to the history and religious faith of the Canadian Martyrs. Will leave you astounded at the two reliquaries where preserved bones of the Martyrs lie and surrounding canes, crutches & others ex- votos adorn the area as witness to the healing and graces received. Beautiful and expansive grounds with parking available. On site is visitor information chalet, restaurant with optional outdoor patio and gift shop with religious relics, gorgeous rosaries, holy water and books. Suitable for young children however, access to the shrine is via stairs only and somewhat steep/ lengthy. Admission also includes “Sainte -Marie among the Hurons”, Ontario’s first European community & headquarters for the French Jesuit Mission to the Huron-Wendat people. Amenities on site. Enjoy the walk to the Sainte-Marie among the Huron through the guide footpath or by car ( across the street) with onsite parking. Enjoy a full day of history, gardens, food & exploration of both ensuring lasting memories!

Spectacular Gateway for those who want to experience a local pilgrimage. An entrance of 10Cad p/h adults. 12 under free. You can bring your picnic basket and have some nature’s family get together under the trees(available tables at the parking site). Don’t forget to get your souvenirs at souvenir shop.

Reached just in time to attend Mass, walked around the complex. Keep your entry reciept to be able to visit Sainte-Marie among the Hurons. A day well spent.

Great hometown theater. The Midland Cultural Center is the heart of downtown. They have great shows at great prices. It's the best place in town to have a good time!

We went to see the show at MacMillan’s and truly enjoyed the music and the band — very talented performers and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, during intermission, we returned to our seats only to find that a group of older attendees (around 70 years old) had taken them. Since our tickets had no assigned seating, it created confusion. We waited politely, hoping they would move or that other seats would be available, but none were. With no staff and no lighting to help, we were left with the choice to either confront them or leave. Sadly, we chose to leave. It’s disappointing that something as simple as seating etiquette disrupted an otherwise enjoyable evening. Maybe next time, clearer guidance or ushers could help avoid this kind of situation.

First live show I’ve attended at MCC. Forever Seger is a great band and their musicianship is top notch! Extremely high energy performance! I chose to see/hear this group based on Forever Seger’s online demos, which were a mix of live and studio productions. Unfortunately, the mix for this concert, in my opinion, was poor. Drums and bass severely overpowered the rest of the band. I don’t know why a drum shield was not used, nor why the bass could not be balanced with the rest of the band. The solo vocals and backup harmonies were completely negated throughout the evening, to the point where I could rarely make out the lyrics. I’m assuming that it was the MCC’s in house sound techs that were responsible. Hard to imagine, based on the YouTube videos, that the band’s personnel did the mix. I wish I could have broken my rating down in to categories. The 3 star rating in no way reflects the quality of the band. They we’re fabulous and I’d like to see them again, but in a different venue to compare the sound.

A beautiful establishment for many venues. We often enjoy a Huronia Players show in the theater, and I've seen many events in the event hall they have there. It's a beautiful building with lots going on for the community to enjoy!

We saw Gordon Lightfoot tribute band. Best performance I have ever been too. Amazing!!

Very nice little theatre. We were near the front and felt almost onstage. Nice washrooms. Good parking in the evening but may be difficult during the day.

It is only a 10 minute drive from the 400. Well worth the detour. The Big Chute is a very interesting place to explore. We also had lunch at the marina restaurant and the food was very good and the staff were very friendly.

Fascinating Marine Railway boat carrier from a higher elevation to a lower elevation near Port Severn near end of the Trent Severn waterway containing many locks including the Peterborough lift lock, picturesque Fenelon Falls, and houseboat rentals. This waterway makes up part of the Great Loop around Canada and the U.S.

Very beautiful place, nice and quiet , so relax when you walk around the lock.

Beautiful lookout, nice city view, river and the forest behind. Fall Colors where wonderful. Parking is tight on weekends. There is one parking lot on to and one at the bottom for those who done want to hike.

You don't need to purchase advance tickets to visit this place. It's free for entry and open 24 hours. You drive all the way upto the lions lookout point on the top of the hill. Their is a small parking place on top. You can also find parking lot at the entrance of the hill near lookout sign. However, I recommend drive all the way to top if you wanna skip 1km steep hike Breathtaking Fall Views at Lions Lookout is a Must-See in Huntsville! 🍁 . If you're anywhere near Huntsville in the fall, a trip to Lions Lookout is an absolute must. I visited during peak foliage season, and the views were nothing short of magical. The entire landscape was painted in vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold — it felt like stepping into a postcard! The lookout offers a panoramic view over Fairy Lake, the Muskoka River, and the town of Huntsville, all framed by rolling hills ablaze with autumn color. Whether you're a photographer, nature lover, or just out for a peaceful walk, this spot won’t disappoint. The short hike to the top is a bit steep, but it’s well worth the effort. There are benches to rest along the way and once you reach the top, the scenery makes it all worthwhile. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset over the colorful treetops. **Tip:** Try to go on a clear day for the best visibility, and bring a camera — you’ll want to capture this view. Highly recommend visiting during the fall. It’s one of the most beautiful places in Muskoka to experience the changing leaves! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Really nice when you got up to the top, you can drive up and park there where space are still available or park below and hike up to the lookout (shuttle train in summer months). Be sure to check out the scenery in various directions; beautiful view of Huntsville and Fairy Lake especially in the fall.

Worth the hike. DONOT take your car up but park at the community centre there, if you don’t hike, you miss the on road fall wonders. Most beautiful pictures ever taken there by us. Will visit again and again. It’s a free point, no ticket required.

Do NOT go on a weekend 💀 The traffic was from the bottom of the hill to the top parking lot We luckily made a U-turn and parked somewhere else near by and made the walk up the hill which I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues or seniors When I left to walk down the hill people were still in traffic going up the hill that I recognized when I was walking up, they didn’t get very much farther along. The actual viewing area is very over crowded. View is decent.

Lion’s Lookout is a lovely spot with great views over Huntsville, but be prepared for some parking challenges—especially on holidays or long weekends. The parking lot at the top can get quite crowded and there’s often a bit of traffic going up. If you don’t mind a short uphill walk, parking at the Heritage Place lot is a good alternative—it’s not far, though the slope is a bit steep. Funny enough, it always seems to be cloudy or rainy whenever I visit, so I haven’t seen the view on a perfectly clear day yet—that’s my little regret. Still, Huntsville is such a charming town that I always enjoy coming back.

Went here with my girls for my bachelorette party and had a great time! We did the tour which was really interesting and then enjoyed wine and food. The pretzels were the best!Overall we had a great time and I would love to come back again during harvest season to see the bogs filled up!

The staff were amazing — from the friendly lady at the reception, to the staff member at the cranberry plunge pool, the kind lady at the shop, and the gentleman who gave us great suggestions for places to eat. Everyone was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the cranberry fields. I definitely want to come back again! I loved the time I spent here, and their cranberries are absolutely delicious.

My boyfriend and I visited Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery today, and we had the best time! We began our day with Bob's guided wagon tour of the farm. Bob is worth the price of admission alone - he is hilarious - and made teaching us about the workings of the cranberry farm a lot of fun, as well as informative. Browsing through the gift shop, with its rustic charm and cranberry-themed everything, was a unique and fun experience. We sipped samples of wine and fresh cranberry juice, while enjoying our day in the crisp autumn air at this welcoming and relaxing farm in Bala ON.

Visiting Muskoka Lakes Farm & Winery was one of the highlights of my Muskoka trip! Nestled among beautiful cranberry field, the place offers a wonderful mix of nature, local flavor, and authentic Muskoka hospitality. The cranberry bog walk was fascinating — it’s not every day you get to see how cranberries are harvested, and the staff do an amazing job explaining the process. The wines are delicious and different ofcourse as they are not traditional wines made of grapes—yet they are light, refreshing, and full of character and at a very affordable price. The on-site café and shop also have great treats. If you visit in the fall, the Cranberry Harvest is a must-see specially during the Cranberry festival weekend.

You won me over from the moment I spotted the old truck beside your cranberry patch! THEN, a lovely senior playing guitar and singing. Nice first impression! We had just had our lunch elsewhere so we were unable to take advantage of the great little snack shop and stay for a set. We were looking for a red & a white wine to take to our hosts for dinner. One of the lovely ladies spent ten minutes with us explaining the background, preferences and suggestions. We bought two for our hosts, two to take home and a bottle of portage that I plan to use in my famous butter tarts soon. Highly recommend the gem in the forest.

I am giving this place 1 star. I went yesterday and it was the first time I experienced racism in my life and it was by 1 of their employees. Their website is also awful for not explaining the times for the activities when you buy an all access pass. What happened? Boyfriend and I are visibly minorities. There's no doubt about our backgrounds when you see us. I am latina and boyfriend is black. I bought 2 all access passes. The girl at Information was able to get us both for 3pm for the wagon ride (she was awesome). When we got there that's when we found out that since our wagon ride was at 3p the wine tasting was at 3:30p and the plunge was for 4:30p and we couldnt change those times. Our tour bus was leaving at 4:30p. We walked to the plunge. At 2:30p the lady came and asked the 1st couple for their time slot. They said theirs was for 3:30p. Lady said that's fine they can join the 2:30p plunge. We were next. I explained ours was for 4:30 and we cant do the plunge for 4:30 because our bus leaves at 4:30p. Lady said, no. They were all booked up and had no spots. NO SPOTS AT ALL. Just no. (I mean 2 just opened up for 3:30p). I was very shocked. It was clear what was happening. I've never experienced this before and we walked away and I tried to forget it. This was the lady who was thin/average size, black and white hair, wavy/curly, about my height maybe a bit shorter (5"5). I didn't get her name. I should have. I honestly tried to think of other reasons why it was an instant no for us but a yes for the white couple before us. Racism is really the only answer. We should have been able to atleast take that couples time slot if the time slots were full. I can honestly say I will never visit again. I will be reaching out to the bus tour company about the situation as well as I think they should know what their customers are experiencing and should consider another location if possible. Everyone else was really nice and friendly, except that 1 lady. Unfortunately it takes 1 person to ruin an experience. I will also reach out to the company and send them an email and request their employees receive training.

Lovely place but unfriendly service. The woman staff member yelled at the visitor, who had to wash their hands after touching the cranberry, as it had a smell on their hands. That's why we want to wash our hands. No information on where to wash hands, and it's not really 30 minutes in the Cranberry plunge, just 15 minutes. The staff in the shop isn't friendly either.

Course in great shape. It's a tough track, takes some thinking for shot placement and you must be accurate going into the greens, or you will be punished. We loved it.

Amazing golf course and excellent patio lunch. Enjoyed a delicious Swiss mushroom burger overlooking the 10th hole. Thank you to Madi for the recommendation and friendly service.

We try to eat at the rock a few times a month. It's amazing, the food is outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond. It's a hidden gem! This was my lunch today. Great value as well.

Had an absolute blast at the course. One of the best courses I’ve played on, super scenic, and well worth it. Once we finished our round of golf the girls, (Maddy and Paige) allowed us to still grab food and drinks even though they were closing up. So seriously thank you girls! They deserve a pay raise!

Course is in excellent shape despite the dry weather, huge shoutout to the grounds crew! Staff was super friendly and everything was very well organized from start to finish. No complaints at all. Great value too: $200 for 2 juniors and 1 adult with a cart. We’ll definitely be back!

This golf course is absolutely gorgeous and kept in pristine condition. Insanely difficult track though. Good thing I played like a tour stick, but it was difficult to watch my friends get beat up like that.

Great golf course aslong as you are ok with a challenge. Leaving your ego at that door and playing the proper tees based on your skill level is paramount to enjoying your day.

I stopped by Screaming Heads in Burk’s Falls during the day, and it felt like stepping into a surreal open-air gallery tucked away in a huge field. The place was almost empty—maybe 10 people total and about the same number of cars—which gave it a strangely peaceful, almost eerie atmosphere. Workers were setting up tents for the upcoming Harvest Festival, so it was clear the space was gearing up for something much bigger on the weekend. Walking around, the sculptures themselves were impressive, but I could tell the real magic happens at night. They had fire bins set up where logs would normally be lit to cast dramatic shadows on the art, but in the daytime, they sat unused. Same with the light displays—I could imagine how incredible the massive concrete “heads” would look illuminated against the dark sky with music playing in the background. Even without the night effects, it was still a cool and unique spot. Free to enter, wide open to explore, and perfect for taking photos of the unusual and haunting artwork. If you’re nearby, it’s worth checking out anytime, but I’d recommend going after dark or during an event to really see the place come alive.

Such an amazing place to visit! I was blown away by all the incredible sculptures and how huge the property is. We were lucky to meet the owner while he was doing some maintenance, he took the time to share some of the history behind the place, which was really cool. We went in October and the fall colors made it even more beautiful. Can’t wait to come back in the summer for some of the fun events! Also no bugs in October;)

An extraordinary and unexpected 40yr effort by an artist on his 350 acre farm. Takes about 1 hour or so to walk through and muse the meaning of the many structures. Free but voluntary donations welcome into a box on your drive out. Free parking too.

Have been looking to visit this place for quiet sometime now and finally did last week and what a unusual creepy interesting place... so beautiful eerie looking sculptures spread across this massive beautiful land.... some sculptures have a different meaning if you look from another angle...cant imagine how amazing and scary it would be during the night with all the lights and firepits lit up. It is definitely a must visit if one is around muskoka or Huntsville area and entry and parking is free only donations...

This is a very interesting art installation. We arrive late in the day on a Wednesday, and basically had the whole place to ourselves. The property itself is HUGE and very beautiful. There was part through the spider we gates that was closed, so we couldn't go in. The trails aren't marked very well and there is no map. We walked to many dead ends and had to turn around, and only saw about 20 heads because we walked in so many circles. We saw more across the street as we were leaving that we had no clue about, which made us realize we had probably had missed a lot, and further investigation on Google confirmed that we indeed had. Most of what we saw was overgrown with grass and weeds. Lots of horse and deer flies, so be sure to spray down with heavy bug spray, and close toed shoes for the overgrown trails. The heads themselves make you wonder what the artist was thinking as he created them, but they are fascinating, and very beautiful in their own way. They might seem creepy and scary to young children, so I would consider that when bringing kids. It would be a good family activity for families with older children though. Personally, I would go back to explore some more, but I would arrive much earlier and plan to spend the whole day exploring.

Pretty cool park, full of whimsical installations. I arrived at 6:45 on a rainy day so did a quick run through, would be best to plan a few hours on a sunny day. The installations are in several fields, not sure if there is a map... lots of different areas, looks like a Frisbee golf course set up too.
