Wonderful Lake. Brings memories of my Grandfather. He had a store and post office at the west end of the lake on the rail line at Red Pass.

Moose Lake is a breathtaking stop along the Yellowhead Highway that feels like stepping into a postcard. It’s perfect for pulling over during a road trip, stretching your legs, and taking in the scenery. The shoreline is easily accessible in spots, making it a great place for photos, a picnic, or just sitting quietly to listen to the gentle lap of the water. If you’re lucky, you might spot wildlife in the area — moose sightings do happen, and you’ll often see birds skimming the surface. There are no big crowds or noisy facilities here, which adds to the serenity. Facilities are minimal, so it’s best to bring your own snacks, water, and anything you need. The beauty of Moose Lake is its simplicity — untouched, peaceful, and a reminder of how incredible British Columbia’s landscapes are. If you’re driving through Mount Robson Provincial Park, this is a must-see stop. Whether you stay for 10 minutes or an hour, it’s the kind of view that stays with you long after you’ve left.

We passed the Moose Lake in the province of British Columbia while doing a VIA Rail trip from Vancouver to Jasper National Park in Alberta, in July 2019. The Canadian National's Rail line and the Yellowhead Highway run along the north shore of the lake and we got very scenic views of the lake from the train window. Moose Lake is the only lake along the course of the Fraser River.

100% worth a visit and certainly is one of the highlights of my trip around the Canadian Rockies. Kinney Lake is a must see and is well worth the 1-1.5hr hike. It is not too challenging or overly steep and the path is very well marked. It is super convenient to access the trail from the Berg Lake trail head car park.

Standing at 3,954 meters (12,972 feet), Mount Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, its snow-capped summit attracting climbers year-round. With scenic lakes, abundant wildlife, hiking trails, and rich flora, it’s a must-see for anyone who loves nature. Welcome Centre, a first stop for most visitors, where souvenirs line the shelves and rangers share tips about the park, the mountain, and its many trails. Its porch is the best vantage point for the clearest, most majestic view of the Mount Robson. The Centre has a museum which contains many interesting facts about the state park’s history, mountain climbing attempts, and the surrounding wildlife.

We visited Mt. Robson on our drive from Clearwater to Jasper. It's the highest mountain in the Rockies. The Welcome centre tells a bit about the history of the first voyage of discovery, as well as the geology. There's a store and some toilets inside as well. Also: WiFi! From the deck at the back there's a great view of the mountain itself. But for the best pictures of yourself and the mountain (as I'm not a big fan of fences in picture), I would move to the spacious lush green field behind the centre.

I only stopped here for a short rest, but the mountain views completely amazed me. Even on a warm day, there was still snow glistening at the top, making the scenery stunning. It turned out to be an unexpected highlight of my trip, worth pausing to enjoy.

On a good (mostly cloudless) day, you can make a stop here, buy snacks or ice cream and have a view of Mount Robson. Great for those that are not planning on going further in or hiking. You still get to see the tallest Mountain in the Canadian Rockies.

This was by far one of my favorite hikes of the trip. We only made it to the lake but even that was worth it. Highly recommend a visit.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I've ever visited. The views here are unparalleled, and there's tons of wildlife.

I come here every summer when I can. One of the most amazing trails on Earth. If you only have a couple of hours, a trip to Kinney Lake is well worth it. If you have a couple of days, the trip to Berg Lake (and Snowbird Pass) are breathtaking. Must book a loooooooooooong time in advance.

Honestly the berg lake trail is one of the nicest hikes I've done. We went up to emperor falls and back (32km+) in one day, and although it was totally worth it it was quite heave on the knees. I recommend everyone to do the hike, as I can only imagine what Berg lake itself will look like, but make sure you got a few days time so you can appreciate it in all it's glory without having to walk around with a knee brace for a week after 😉

Beautiful Jaw dropping mountains and breathtaking views. It's one of the most beautiful part of the yellow head highway drive towards BC. There are a few shops for travellers and tourist to patronize. Also several areas for photo lovers. Ensure your vehicle is in good shape as help may not come as quickly as you desire if needed. Cellular network signals are very poor around these area due to the mountains. Ensure your vehicle has enough gas to avoid disappointment. Not many gas stations are available around the mountain.

Such a beautiful place! Here you get to see snowy and really tall mountains! And because the Mount Robson Provincial Park is near BC and Alberta, you could play around and you jump from province to province, that sounds cool to me!

We usually stop here for 10-minutes on road trips. A good spot to let out the kids or dog to stretch the legs as there is a large field and it's far enough away from the main roads. A few picnic benches of seating nearby as well.

I stopped to get some information, I didn't leave with much. I had to wander around the store to see what the town was about. I asked all the questions, I thought the lady could have shared more helpful information of what the town offered. I left there wondering why I even stopped.

What a joke of a town. Safe to say I’ll never be back — the name Valemount will always be a bitter reminder. Found a “futuristic” self-cleaning public toilet… reality? A malfunctioning mess. Filthy inside, couldn’t even wash my hands. Feels more like a cheap PR stunt — probably a bribe by Telus to keep other phone providers out of town 😂. And that’s another issue. I drove 30 extra minutes just to get here, hoping for a decent place to dine and maybe some cell service. Instead, I found a town that fails in every direction. Dining? Fail. Service? Fail. Experience? Complete fail. Valemount, the “pit stop” you’ll regret.

Great place for a quick stop scenery was amazing

The Valemount Visitor Centre is fantastic! The building is adorable, and the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Like another reviewer mentioned, they are genuinely excited to share their knowledge with you. The gift shop is a gem, offering lots of unique magnets and great prices on items. Some of the same items Jasper and Banff carry, but cheaper. They have shelves lined with brochures of other nearby places, and the staff helped me discover new spots I’d love to check out in the future. Overall, a must stop if you’re in the area!

Cleanest and most comfortable washrooms on hwy 5. Great place for a pit stop and some neat merch available inside as well.

Fantastic customer service! We did the Scenic Raft Float for $79 plus GST and really enjoyed it. We felt like we could have spent another hour just floating along. If we are over this way in the future we will definitely use this service again.

We went rafting today July 8th 2025. It was wonderful, we chose the sights seeing. We had a very great time. We enjoyed the whole scenic. The weather also was fantastic. The guider was awesome, she was very friendly and helpful. Totally staff were so friendly and helpful. Well organised. Prices are reasonable. Overall, we had a very good time.

We had scenic float at the end of the season. Kris was wonderful with explanation and showing us around. I took one star out, it was no “wow” effect. We would try white water rafting next time, our daughter is still young to take this year.

Amazing location and view. The walls are thin, but my neighbors were pretty quiet. One of the windows didn't work which is fine for the weather I had, but with no AC or fans, it could be an issue. The host did offer to come fix it, which was super nice.

It's a very nice place. Very clean. It's just keen eared to the next door apartment so it's good to have some earplugs in the bag. But I definitely recommend this place !

We stayed here in June 2025 for a night while traveling from Alberta. It is a lovely place located just a couple kilometres out of town. The area is quiet with lots of birds in the forest to fill the air with songs. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessities for cooking. There were windows to open on both sides of the cabin to allow a cool evening breeze to flow through the. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. There was no air conditioning so it could get a bit warm in the cabin on a hot summer day but the evenings are generally cool so that helps to get a good sleep. I would highly recommend this place overall.

A truly wonderful trip. We went on a 3 hour evening ride with my wife and 2 sons accompanied by Sarah, Darcy, and Lucy. We explored the ranch which was a beautiful mixture of rolling hills, forest, and streams. At the end we stopped by the river for dinner made in an old 19th century wagon, an unforgettable experience. The team looked after us really well, with beautiful and healthy horses, and a strong focus on our safety. Highly recommended.

I did a two-hour afternoon ride with Sarah, and it was a great experience! The team was incredibly accommodating and professional from start to finish, and everything felt well organized. The ride itself was really interesting... the landscape and habitat were beautiful, and Sarah shared lots of insight that made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was excellent, the horses were clearly well cared for, and the price was reasonable for the experience. Highly recommend!

A great memory for two horse novices. Darcy our guide was authentic, charming, helpful and humorous. The ride exceeded our expectations in terms of what we did and where he took us. The trail ride was pretty with dramatic scenery and a mix of meadows, slopes, woods, even a bit by the river. Highly recommended !!! As a hint don’t arrive in shorts, you will be wearing riding boots and going through real country with trees, bushes etc so have sensible leg coverings

We messaged them one day in advance and I got a reply within 10 minutes that they will make the ride work! Super easy, well organized ride. We had an amazing morning at the vavenby trail rides. Myself and my partner had never been on a horse before and thought we would give it a try. We was greeted by Sarah and Antonia from Germany with smiles and a warm welcome, the horses were already out and ready to go. So we kitted up and after a few simple instructions off we went. The horses were so easy to control and so well behaved, any worries I had soon went. The trails around the ranch were breath taking and after a long ride we ended up by the river for food and a chat. With there dog by our side the whole ride it was an amazing experience. One which I would gladly do again. Many thanks ed and Sarah for allowing us to have this time on your ranch.

Very accessible. They have parkinf for car & RV/ campers. Toilets re available everywhere. This waterfall is gorgeous & amazing. A must to visit & trekking there. U can trekking further to the end of the trail. Really nice view & less tourists.

Helmcken Falls offers a stunning view with its dramatic drop into a deep canyon. The viewpoint is just a short, flat walk from the parking lot, making it easily accessible for all visitors. There are restroom facilities near the lot, and the viewing platform gives clear, wide views of the falls and surrounding cliffs. On a good day, the mist rising from the base adds to the atmosphere. If you're anywhere near Clearwater, it’s definitely worth pulling over for.

Beautiful waterfall surrounded by rock formations formed due to volcano, been here multiple times during winter and during spring and the waterfall always surprises with its views. Must visit if driving to Jasper/mount Robson/clearwater if driving along hwy-5 and there is lots of camp sites / RV sites and Cabins available in and around hwy-5.

Very spectacular waterfall!!! We went in late July and the fall was still pretty awesome!! We arrived VERY early in the morning around 6am, we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.

This breathtaking waterfall deserves every bit of the attention and appreciation. One of the most wonderful waterfalls and places gives to us by the mother nature!

Canada's 4th highest waterfall. This is such a great place to visit. Amazing views from the platform. Helmcken Falls is beautiful. Really recommend this place for a visit.

Gorgeous waterfall. Very easy access to the viewing platform from the parking lot. We arrived around 11am on a late July weekend and there’s already some people there. There’s plenty of room on the viewing platform to fit all the visitors. Great view of the canyon.

Great little park for a quick stop while driving. Park seems to be handicapped accessible, with new benches and a clean trail going to the falls overlook.

DON’T miss the tiny brown sign to the right, look for the giant HOT DOG sign to the left to park and do a quick hike to view the falls. If you do happen to miss the parking lot for Sapp Falls, just carry on the road up to the next parking lot. The hike is approximately a kilometer and a half mostly down and can be challenging, but will definitely get your heart beating if you need that as a stop on the road. The fall are absolutely spectacular to see.

I am so incredibly glad we decided to pull over and stop at Spahats Creek Falls during our drive through Clearwater! What an absolute gem this place is. From the moment you arrive, you can tell it's well cared for. The trail leading to the falls is exceptionally well done and maintained, making for an easy and pleasant walk. The initial view as you approach the main area is nothing short of breathtaking – a deep, impressive canyon stretches out before you, hinting at the grandeur to come. But just a little further around, you reach the main viewing area, and that's where the magic truly happens. The falls themselves are absolutely stunning and incredibly interesting to behold. Spahats Creek Falls truly stands out because the water seems to burst directly out of a hidden cave in the side of the canyon wall! It's such a unique geological feature and immediately piqued my interest, making me wonder exactly where that water is coming from deep within the rock. Overall, this was a fantastic stop that exceeded all expectations. If you're driving through Clearwater, do yourself a favor and experience the beauty and mystery of Spahats Creek Falls!

Easy short walk to this beautiful waterfall. What an amazing area! Lots of parking.

Spahats creek falls is in a canyon that connects to a valley and it sits in amongst the clouds. Great parking for all. Washrooms on site including pit toilets and running toilets. Trail is very easy to walk. Defiantly worth stopping and feeling the power nature has here.

This is the perfect place to start if you're visiting Wells Gray Provincial Park. You’ll get all the info you need, and the staff are super friendly and helpful with maps and tips on what to see and do. There’s also a cute little souvenir shop, clean washrooms, and even a food truck outside. This spot really helps make your trip easier and more fun.

Stopped at Wells Grey Provincial Park to stretch our legs on route to Jasper National Park - and it really is worth the stop! The visitor centre is an excellent place to start, with lots of information on the different things to see and do, we could easily plan our visit and decide what we had time to see. Plus there is a coffee van parked right outside… perfect! :) The park itself is beautiful, well kept and signposted and without the crowded of the National Parks. Highly recommend a visit here!

At the Wells Gray Park Visitor Information Center, I saw something, I have never seen before at any other park service, including National Parks. They had a tip jar on their counter. ....your job is to provide information and customer service. You get paid or volunteer to do so. The tipping mindset of places that aren't restaurants serving you food at a table is becoming too much and honestly ridiculous. The place does have merchandise, ice cream, and coffee to purchase.

But the Wells Gray Information Centre was something else entirely. What set it apart was Hailey. From the moment we walked in, she went above and beyond to help us create an unforgettable experience in Clearwater and the surrounding area. Her knowledge was incredible — not just the popular highlights, but also the hidden gems that only a true local would know. Every recommendation felt personal, thoughtful, and spot-on. She also pointed us toward Liquid Lifestyles, located just at the end of the parking lot — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. In a time when genuine customer service can feel like a thing of the past, Hailey reminded us how impactful it is when someone truly cares about what they do. Her energy, enthusiasm, and insight turned what could’ve been a quick stop into one of the best parts of our vacation. Thank you for making our trip so special. If more people brought this level of care to their work, the world would be a better place.

This was an awesome adventure for my daughter's Sweet 16th birthday, along with her older sister's 29th birthday. Was a family and friends day. We had a lot of fun, and the kids did the Eagle swing twice! Once backwards! I am terrified of heights but committed to doing the swing. I survived, and it was quite the ride for a person terrified of heights. But I did it! The tour guys are very friendly and helpful. They are encouraging and made our day so much more enjoyable! I would highly recommend this for adventure for anyone that is an adrenaline junkie! Do the Ultimate Adventure Package!! What a GREAT day full of special memories!

Initially had a terrible experience with 1/4 staff members which involved him not wanting to refund $70 to a child that chickened out before starting at all. Extremely over priced and not that fun. The best part was the ride up with the other 3 staff members who were so much fun. Wouldn't recommend it to be honest. Go to the lake instead and save $70 a person.

Amazing, and friendly staff. VERY safety oriented. I was happy with how comfortable the harnesses were. The practice zipline was terrifying for me (being severly afraid of heights). The staff encouraged me nicely and let me take my time. I was able to do it and the rest of the tour, I was excited to do each zipline. They take you up in a cute bus to a valley up the mountain. Beautiful scenery, with a small amount of walking. Everything was paced so well. I enjoyed ziplining over a waterfall! We even opted to walk to the water with the staff to hang out and cool off a bit. It was fun. Heading back and seeing the photos up immediately, then seeing our adventure replay in front of us was awesome! We opted to do the Trust Fall, that was neat but definitely nowhere near the highlight of the Eagle Swing. I had dared to challenge my fears on another level. It was an adrenaline pumping drop as you free fall in the swing for a moment before it's starts swinging like a regular giant swing. I opened my eyes after the free fall. Despite shaking, I had a great time and it was 100% worth it! I would recommend the zipline course for families, as they are safe & kind. But definitely for some thrill seekers if you dare to try the Eagle Swing. Great Anniversary.

I had a great time at the Treetop Flyers with a group of family from of town. Laura and Janelle were friendly and helpful and great time was had by all.

Our whole reason for staying in Chase BC was to go ziplining here. It was amazing fun. I took my three kids, 18, 11 & 9 and chose Treetop Flyers because the reviews said it was good for kids as well as adults. If you're wanting high adrenaline long zipline adventure then this is not it, but if you are a first timer or just want to do a scenic zipline with the family then definitely head here. The staff were awesome, very enthusiastic and professional, explaining everything and safety was too of the agenda. There's a practice line do you know what to expect, then it's up the mountain in a van to the too of the Chase Creek Falls ( with only a short walk to the drop off zone). We were attached to safety lines all the time and all the equipment was checked before each run - there's two runs through the forest, both over the falls and the creek.

It was simply amazing! Expensive but worth it. The views on the zipline were really cool and I would definately recommend the giant swing. The staff were also really fun people and knew their stuff. Would go again for sure!

When our booking at a different RV park fell through, we contacted Chinook Cove and they were able to accommodate us. SO happy they did! We now have a favourite spot for camping with full hookups. Everything is very clean (including the onsite showers/bathrooms) and the staff are wonderful. The golf course is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back!

We finally decided to stop and look at this place instead of driving by as we usually do. The young men in the clubhouse were super friendly and helpful. The campground turns out to be very quiet and large enough to accommodate pretty much any size of rv. Very strong wi-fi signal in campground. The golf course was beautifully manicured and was very fun to play while offering a challenge as well. We walked the course on this visit but next time we will use a power cart as there is a lot of elevation changes here which make the walk a little more of a workout.

What a terrific find! This gem of a golf course was in great shape, course is well laid out and was a terrific introduction to golf for a beginner while still challenging a lower handicapper. Tons of parking for a couple truck/trailers. Will definitely repeat.

Lovely little 9 hole golf course. The staff are friendly. Less capable golfers are sure to lose balls on several holes. Green fees are reasonable.

A beautiful 9 hole course 2 par 5, 2 par 3 . Great food ,RV camping , a beautiful setting. I have been enjoying this course for over 20 years. 3341 yards , please go and enjoy.

Nice Gem of a nine hole course. Gets backed up on a couple of holes with 3 groups waiting but it was still under 2 hour nine hole round.

Always a super awesome time at Chinook Cove. Really nice course and the staff feel like friends.

We were visiting family in Sun Peaks who been dog sledding last year and loved it. We went on the hour long tour and can say it was the highlight of our holiday. Chris collected us from the village and drove us up to the base. All of the dogs are clearly loved and well cared for and enjoy their work pulling the sleds. We had time to meet and stroke our sled team before the tour and then afterwards time to stroke all the dogs and meet the amazing litter of puppies - just adorable!! Travelling through the forest was simply breathtaking and we stopped at the lake for photos. Our guides Tempe and Andrew were friendly, informative and answered all our questions. We had amazing experience with Mountain Man Dog Sled Adventures. Taryn made a last minute booking very easy. Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable. Liam made our sled ride enjoyable. The scenery was magnificent. But it’s the dogs that steal the show. They clearly love being on the trail and there was plenty of time to interact with them after. Meeting the puppies was also a highlight. We would recommend the experience. Chris and his team clearly love the dogs and the experiences they create for guests.

Joe took us on a fun Jeep tour through the Sun Peaks mountain range, including to McGillivray Lake, and a couple other lake spots. It was beautiful scenery the whole time, and we saw some wildlife on the drive! Joe is very knowledgeable about the area and can answer all your questions. I booked the ‘ Into the Wild Dog Sled Tour’ for a unique birthday experience. This was a great experience! The dogs are so friendly and love what they do! The owners are really passionate about their dogs and ensure they are healthy and well looked after. A great company and experience overall!

The Monte Creek winery has a wonderful tasting room. The big glass windows really give it a nice atmosphere. The grounds are well manicured. The outdoor patio is a good size. Friendly and pleasant staff.

Awesome wines, beautiful views, and the food totally hit the spot. Everyone on the staff was friendly and made the whole experience even better. A good place to hang out with friends during summer time.

Mmmm, the wine, oh the wine! 4 healthy samples of your choice and a charcuterie board. We ended up taking 4 bottles home. Great selections and all flavourful and tasty. No bombs in our selection and some great stories behind them! Ask about “hands up” and you’ll see a movie in the making.

Plan your wedding here! Not only was it the absolute best spot for an knockout view, the shaded trees and stunning lawn made for a incredible setting for our wedding ceremony! Coordinating with the Event team was a breeze and every detail was taken care of. Our guests enjoyed a perfect afternoon and I couldn't ask for anything more!

I recently had my wedding ceremony at Monte Creek Winery and it was wonderful! They've had some turnover in event coordinators so I worked with a few different people throughout the planning process but they were all very helpful, responsive, and flexible with figuring out all the little details. The wedding was beautiful and everyone loved the wine selections for the cocktail hour. The Living Land Sparkling Rosé in particular was a big hit!

Went to the wine club pick up party last night. Have to say the staff and catering company did an amazing job. Amazing food by Sage & Plate and very friendly and courteous staff. And of course amazing wine. Great job Monte Creek Winery. Another happy member.

Visited in September. BC Wildlife Park was a sweet and memorable stop. Loved seeing the rescued animals—they looked safe and well cared for, which was really heartwarming. Owl Talk was a definite highlight! Getting up close to such a beautiful bird was amazing. The observation hive was super cool too. The spirit bear is the standout, but no luck spotting it this time. Still, a lovely visit overall.

We had such an amazing time at BC Wildlife Park. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Unfortunately, we missed the train ride, but there was still so much to see and enjoy. The park is very family-friendly, with great facilities for all ages. One highlight for me was seeing the cougar laying right at the gate, such a beautiful moment! Also, I absolutely loved the honey in the gift shop definitely worth picking up a jar.

We absolutely love the place. They only have rescued animals and the have signs telling you the story of each animal plus really interesting facts about that animal species. We went in a hot sunny summer day so recommend to bring a hat and a ton of sun screen. The splash zone they have was a blast that gave us some relief from the hot weather. We were able to see so many animals (recommend checking the feeding schedule), we love the bears they have in particular the white one which is only found in BC. They have some timings for you to go a pet some goats and sheep they have, they even provide brushes which are like a spa for the animals, they love to be pet and are super friendly and cute

A bit disappointed by the facilities. Needs renovations. The train 🚂 was not running unfortunately. Off season prices too expensive. When we arrived at 10:30am there was almost no animals out it felt very strange, like an abandoned old zoo. Later on we saw more but some of the cages were not looking very clean. The birds section was great. It is nice to have the story of the rescue of each animal. They definitely should replace most of the fences by glasses. Not that much of “wild” animal.

Visited BC Wildlife Park on Canada Day, and despite the hot weather, we had a wonderful time. We got to see a variety of animals, including the bear, which was a highlight. Though not as many animals as you'd expect from a zoo since this is wildlife refuge. The little train ride was a fun and relaxing way to explore the park, especially for kids. One of the best features on a hot day was the water sprinklers, the kids had a blast cooling off and running through them. The park is well laid out with shaded areas and great for families. A fun, educational, and refreshing day out, highly recommended!

This is such an extraordinary place to go. There's a vast amount of things to learn, and Animals to see. It took about an hour to walk around the park, but was very easy for me even with a bad hip. The grizzlys were super interactive as well. Definitely worth the drive. I'll be coming back with my kids.

We visited late on a hot July afternoon and only had 1.5 hrs to tour. As expected, it was hit and miss with seeing the animals in their enclosures, and at that time of day we had the park pretty much to ourselves. That said, everything appeared to be well laid out, well signed, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the birds of prey exhibit, and noted there is a family farm where visitors can interact with farm animals. Judging from the sandwich board sign of the day’s activities it is better to arrive in the morning to take advantage of feedings and demonstrations.

Green heart of Kamloops! A beautiful Riverside Park that’s perfect for all ages! The water park is a great spot for kids to cool off in the summer, and there are plenty of benches and picnic tables in the shady areas for a relaxing break. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s a lovely place for a walk. Don’t miss the Rose Garden and the peaceful Japanese Garden — they add a special touch to the park. A must-visit in warm weather!

Riverside Park in Kamloops is an absolute gem! We visited in the summer and had an amazing time. The park was full of life, families, kids, and people enjoying the beautiful weather. It offers stunning views of the river and has a clean, well-maintained beach that’s perfect for relaxing. The atmosphere is vibrant and peaceful at the same time. A huge thanks to the city government and park management for keeping this place so clean, safe, and welcoming. If you’re around Kamloops, this is definitely a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Riverside Park in Kamloops is a beautiful riverside spot with walking trails, playgrounds, and a splash pad—perfect for families. The views of the Thompson Rivers are stunning, and summer concerts add a lively vibe. Parking can get busy, and shade is limited in some areas. Overall, a clean, relaxing park worth visiting — I’d rate it 4/5 stars.

A beauty of a park for everyone. We visited the park early September. There are many large old trees to sit under for shade from the hot sun, its close by the river and has a long walking path alongside it. I was told there is live entertainment each evening during July and August.

Awesome place to play, watch and have fun in the splash park. They have an updated playground that is wheelchair accessible. The water park is so much fun. We stayed and watched the sunset. It was beautiful. Would definitely come back

Excellent amenities, busy with lots going on, this is a great gathering place. Great people watching, lots of entertainment, and a lot of shade on hot summer days. There was even a concert when I was there on a Thursday! There is a water park, limited parking, a swimming beach area that is sectioned off so it is a safe place to swim in the river, paved trails and much more.

Beautiful park for baseball and other activities. As we were there for a baseball tournament (considered an "event") so we were allowed to camp there at a cost of $16.50/night. Lovely facilities with a beautiful 3.2km path along the perimeter of the island. Washrooms and garbage kept up nicely.

It's an island not a park. The design of the park is good. There are a few big sport fields around the road. If you are a visitor, you may drive a little half round of this island. There are many parking and washroom along the road. We go there in the late evening so we didn't see any wild life. If you have time, I think there are a good trail goes around the whole island. I see people using bikes to stroll around. It may take some time for a round stroll.

Safe, well maintained park I love coming to Mac Park for a morning blade. Beautiful venue for soccer and ball. Great paved running path. Hockey arena.

Great location for sports. We've attended the BC youth rugby 7s tournament here the last 4 years. Super jealous that Kelowna doesn't have anything comparable. No wonder they call themselves the tournament capital! Good job, Kamloops:)

This park’s a full-on activity hub. You’ve got soccer fields, baseball diamonds, a skatepark, disc golf, and even a big indoor sports centre. I liked the 3.1 km paved loop — great for walking or rollerblading, and it passes through some peaceful riparian areas with birdwatching spots. It’s family-friendly and well-maintained, with lots of free parking. Downsides? No dogs allowed, which might be a dealbreaker for some, and it can feel a bit too busy during tournaments or summer weekends. Some areas could use more shade or seating. Still, it’s one of the most versatile parks in town.

Lovely walking trails, lots of wildlife and great sporting facilities

I've taken to walking here daily and it is a great place to start getting active. Always clean, and very well looked after. I like that there are several public washrooms available and several different options for how far you want to walk.

So disappointing. Was in town for a wedding, decided to end the night at the casino. A couple groups of us went, the second group arrived at 120am. Approached the bar & was told last call was done at 130am. Started ordering for the group, got bounced to a different bartender bc one wanted to cash out, pass on the order and then was told sorry, cant serve you anymore its 130am. It was implied that they wanted to avoid more work for themselves. Tried a couple slot machines after and both smelled like spoiled food. Bizarre experience. Kamloops is cool though.

The person taking id was unfriendly. We always greet people positively. So we didn't stay long

Very nice customer service and the setting was clean, the choices of restaurants within the casino.

While playing poker, the dealer made a mistake and gave the turn to one of the guys he knew from before. That player took advantage of being the last to act and raised, even though he should have been the first to check or raise. We noticed the mistake, and the dealer admitted it was his fault, but no one did anything about it. The dealer was also shuffling the cards by hand, which is unusual since other casinos use machines for that. This is the worst casino I’ve ever been to.

Beautiful lake close to Kamloops, easy lake access and boat dock for boats an kayaks. Big lake , downfall always someone driving to fast making huge waves close to SUP s and kayakers :( . One my fav places to spend the day .

Stayed at the provincial park campground. Very clean and relatively quiet. Roads in campground paved and each site is gravel. Has a wonderful playground for kids. Nice big campsites and lots of little trails. Lake is very nice and calm. Really enjoyed our stay!

Public place to have a good time with friends or family. The facilities are good except the washroom which wasn’t up to standard. It’s also free to use. The map may tell you it’s closed but you should find out yourself

Lac Le Jeune is a peaceful and pretty lake, located within a Provincial Park of the same name in British Columbia. Beautiful at Sunrise and Sunset, otherwise it is quite average. I am uploading two photos taken at Dawn.

A very well maintained campground. We went here for a night with kids. The campsite is very clean and spacious. The washrooms at the campground are equipped with flush toilets and are hygienic. Night sky view is amazing as the trees in campsite are spaced. The lake has a very nice beach and a great day out picnic spot with groundhogs roaming around in the park. All in all a great peaceful place to be at.

Walking in this beautiful park during off-season is so peaceful and calming. The park attendants have done an amazing job of keeping the place clean and natural. I also love the fact that I am a senior , and they have some outhouses open in each loop.

The campground was so beautiful! The park rangers were super sweet and helpful which made our stay more enjoyable. There was a large group that was VERY loud during quiet hours and playing music late into the night. They were so loud that four different parties had complained about them. They also left food out which is a big no no when camping with the risk of bears. I applaud the park rangers for how well they handled the situation judiciously by removing the group from the campground.

Looking for an amazing Provincial Park camping spot? You have to go visit Monck! We arrived mid-day and the check-in staff was so friendly and kind. We went and set-up our site and we luckily got one with a view to the lake that had a little path down to a beach. Everything was clean and well-kept! The site was on the larger side which was great! The facilities were well maintained and clean. The park staff came by to ensure we were all set-up okay and came around later asking if we needed more firewood. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short as I came down with food poisoning but we want to come back for a full stay soon!

Super nice campground. All the toilets (including the outhouses) are flush toilets and kept very clean (just be aware there aren't showers). The site hosts are all lovely. Unfortunately our trip was very bad timing because it was in the middle of a heat wave (38°!), their water system was having issues so it wasn't clean water (okay for washing dishes but not okay for ingesting) and the lake had toxic algae blooms so swimming wasn't recommended. All of these things are obviously out of their control and not permanent problems. The only reason I took one star is because I wish the spots were more shaded.

One of our favorite places to camp (if not our top fave). Hosts are awesome and friendly, everything is always clean and well cared for, sites have space and trees between, noise curfew is well enforced to make it a great experience for families and those who enjoy a quieter setting. The algae bloom was cleared when we got there which was amazing!

The lake has algae in it that makes it unsafe to swim and fish when it is blooming. If you are planning on booking a site here and want somewhere to fish and swim, I would suggest booking elsewhere. We went while it was about 35°C weather and had to go to other lakes each day which took away from the camping experience. Other notes: - The tap water also unfortunately had manganese in it making it unsafe for consumption. - The campsites do not have many trees so the sites get a lot of sun. I would suggest bringing a tarp or multiple tarps and a lot of rope just to help make some shaded spaces on your site. - The park staff/rangers were very helpful and nice. - The lawn/beach/picnic area is beautiful and would be perfect for lawn games.

Merritt downtown is a tourist destination. There is a very easy to find Visitor information. They provide a walking map to find Country & Western's Walk of Fame. The stars are framed upright, with handprint & signature (unlike Hollywood where you find them in a sidewalk). Some nice little shops and a bandshell that may have live music on weekends. Quaint little town but don't need more than a day or two stopover. It was 35-38C in July. Stay hydrated.

Super friendly staff! Cute nostalgic place with some souvenirs, local products, and donated knickknacks for sale. They also serve ice cream and have space for picnics out back.

we dropped in for information and were offered free coffee, lemonade and delicious home made baking (while it lasts). Lovely and knowledgeable staff, nice gifts made locally. A chance to meet some of the locals and start your trip to the interior with a friendly small town welcome.

Absolutely wonderful people, easily the most welcoming, friendly, and helpful info centre I have been to - which is saying something, as I've only ever had positive experiences with info centres! The ladies here really go above and beyond; they even, very kindly, mailed me something overnight when I forgot it behind after using the centre's bathroom, to ensure I would get it before I moved on to my next destination!

Amazing tourist info place with free lemonade and interesting things to see and buy. Stopped here to use the wash room (single stall) with the family and there was plenty to keep the interest while waiting my turn. :)

Been here before and decided to bring our road trip to pass by here. Although online suggested buying tickets online, this place was not busy at all with zero line ups and ample parking. The airtram experience was great offering great views to and from its lower facility. This place features multiple exhibits, gift shop, gold panning station, cafe (reviewed separately), bridge, and fudge store that offers a decent experience to the average tourist. Compared to my previous experience, this place feels a little dead. Perhaps it's not the summer season yet, but I feel like the shops they had originally have turned to exhibits for the sake of cutting manpower costs. The gold panning station was kind of lacklustre without anyone teaching about the mechanics like before. Overall it's a solid 3 and very hard for me to place a 4 like before.

Spectacular views and a unique experience, but a few things to know before you go. Hell’s Gate is definitely worth a visit if you’re driving through the Fraser Canyon. The gondola ride across the canyon is short but breathtaking, and the views of the rushing Fraser River are stunning. The suspension bridge and historical displays add a nice touch, and the whole place feels like a piece of BC history. However, parking is very limited, so try to arrive early. The on-site restaurant has a very limited menu — mostly sandwiches (around $14), two soups, fries, and burgers. The food is overpriced and not very impressive. Also, the gift shop, while fun to browse, is quite expensive. Still, the scenery makes up for the downsides. If you manage your expectations for food and shopping, the overall experience is memorable and well worth it. Also there's only one bathroom at the bottom of the Canon

Been running since 1968 and well worth stopping and doing the tram. A good history lesson on it being part of the gold rush. Great gift shop and restaurant, staff are very friendly.

A great place to stop and stretch your legs on a long road trip and well worth the time spent. A great look into the history of the salmon runs on the river. There’s a great little ‘spooky’ self-guided tour and the suspension bridge was definitely a bit hair raising. Also, they have a penny crusher machine so make sure you have some loonies!

Skip it! Don’t waste your money here. They had the most unfriendly staff, if you can even find one. The place is like a ghost town. If I knew how rundown this place had gotten, I wouldn’t even pay $5 a person to get in let alone the hefty price of $37. Thank goodness my son under 5 still otherwise it’s $32 a kid! There are zero activities there, the “gold panning” is a disgrace - the water is a biohazard and there was barely any gravel let alone any “gold”. I feel offended for all the tourist that come here and think this place represents Canada in any way shape or form. Also, 1 single gum ball at the candy store was $23.09…. Excuse me whatttt?!?

I've been to hell's gate a number of times and it has a nice view of the Frazer river but there isn't really much to do once you've taken the airtram to the bottom. The gift store is lacking and doesn't have much things to offer but the fudge on the other had is really good. The tickets for hells gate are kind of expensive but understanding this place is more of a tourist attraction. 7/10

Super disappointing and limited experience. This is my Honest review with no filter or sugar coating. I would have given it one star but fell sorry because nature and surrounding elements are spectacular indeed. Where do we start with negatives?! First off the price set at $35 is not only steep but completely unjustified. I read a review before I went there that it’s very rundown and nothing really to do there. I didn’t believe it until I saw it with my own eyes. Once you get up across the river after a very. Beautiful but short tram ride you have a suspension bridge, a counter that was once a restaurant, a sad, overpriced and limited store, a small gallery history museum and a Fudge and candy store that sells terrible fudge by the way. The restaurant looks so run down that we didn’t order anything. They had 5-6 food choices on the menu and it’s an actual counter self serve cashier. The store sells some items and cheap souvenirs some you’d find in Vancouver aquarium and bc ferries but much more pricey. The sweet shop / ice cream fudge was a total joke. I got a sea salt and caramel. If you’ve never had a fudge in your life there is a small chance you might like it. It was salty like they dumped the salt and rolled it into a mushy paste with some hint of sweet caramel. I almost died in the first bite. The whole place seems unkept and rundown. It really is a shame because it is such a heritage site and deserves to shine. I imagine if a better owner take care of this place it could receive some boost and major upgrades.

Yale Historic site near hope, 25 $ for 5 member family or per head 10 $, they display year of 1858 medical clinic, saloon, grocery store, also small musium, and beautiful church open for public, highly recommended for visit this place with family

This is a wonderful place to visit if you’re interested in history and want to get a sense of what life was like during the Gold Rush era. The Yale Historic Site is well preserved, with informative displays, artifacts, and friendly staff who are happy to answer questions. Walking around the buildings gives you a feeling of stepping back in time, and the museum itself is small but filled with interesting stories. The site is not huge, so you can easily explore it in an hour or so, which makes it a nice stop along the way if you’re traveling through the Fraser Canyon. I especially enjoyed the church and the original homes, as they give you a very authentic vibe.

Great for a quick stop and learn on your way. Free but donations are welcome, since they are a non-profit organization.

Not worth the money unfortunately. We arrived in the entrance, and it was 25$ for a family. We had hoped it would be by donation & we could just do a short walk around. There didn’t seem to be much to do, the staff didn’t give us any info or encourage us to come in, and there weren’t any other people there. We have been to many other small local museums similar, and they were always free or a small donation. We saw the church from the street, and that was enough. There are bathrooms and a small parking lot if you need a rest stop.

Great rest area. A lot of room can even stay overnight with self contained RV. There are toilets as well as EV charging station and a plaque that explains the history. Unfortunately, people do not put their garbage in the garbage bins so there are some areas that it is a bit of a mess

Last stop on my trip through the Kootenays! Didn't know there was an EV station here. But there are pit toilets! The info on the hope slide is very sobering. The power of nature unleashing itself is just incredible sometimes. There was a lake here????

Unexpected discovery during our roadtrip to Osoyoos this year. We stopped to get some leg rest and found this interesting historical spot. Stop by and visit this place, read about historical events happened here in 1960s. There is parking with EV charging stations, washrooms, and picknick tables with a killer view.

Not much to say here, its a big memorial of a tragic slide and also a marker for a Canadian Air Force plane crash. Thank you to all who serve.

Fascinating piece of Canadian history I knew nothing about until I went for a motorcycle ride and stopped at this place. When you actually see the volume of rock that moved with your own eyes, it is quite humbling. A single rock slide reshaped an entire valley, took out a lake and killed 4 people. Don't fight mother nature is a valid saying; she will win every battle.

Absolutely stunning🌟!! Beautiful mix of nature and history. It’s short walk from the parking lot (5mins). We visited over the weekend and it was pretty busy, parking gets full pretty fast but there’s plenty of parking alongside the road you can use, if you don’t mind walking a few extra meters!! Tunnels are extraordinary. Walk alongside the canyon, with rushing water - its just beautiful😍 Definitely check them out while they are still Open!!

Beautiful place. Wonderful nature with peaceful sound of the clear water. We could enter three tunnels, or actually 2,5; Halfway the last tunnel was a wall built, with a note with the message repairs are needed on the tunnels so we couldn't go further. Despite it was very worth the (15-20 minute?) stop. It was a very little walk of approximately 5 minutes. (Would have been possible/ accessible with wheelchair I guess.)

Absolutely gorgeous, it was amazing how the tunnels turn around to fabulous views. It's a nice walk towards the entrance and get dark, better to have some form touch or mobile flash would do. The bridges are quite the catch with the view. There are more tunnels and could walk down the way. Definitely a place to visit!

Made a pit stop here on route from Vancouver to Sun Peaks and I’m so glad that we did. The tunnels are incredible. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before. The views are amazing. I highly recommend visiting this place from some unique sights and amazing pictures.

The nature here is absolutely beautiful, and it’s a very interesting historical place. This is a great destination for anyone who loves the rich history of our province. I just have a couple of small suggestions: 1. On weekends, it’s really difficult to find parking — there clearly aren’t enough spots, and there are a lot of tourists. 2. There isn’t much historical information available on-site, so I often had to use Google Search to learn more about the place. Other than that, it’s definitely worth visiting!

Finally revisited the Othello tunnels since their full re-opening, the restoration crews did a great job. It may only be a short portion of the historic kettle valley railway, but it's beautiful, the tunnels are a little spooky, and everything feels very safe. Don't forget your flashlight, or the flashlight on your phone.

Visiting this place is like a small lottery — sometimes you get to see it, sometimes you don’t. Very unexpectedly. Our group tried twice. The second time we even called ahead, and they confirmed the Tunnels were open. We drove more than 150 km — only to find them closed. Why? For how long? Nobody could answer. I hope you’ll be luckier. From the parking lot, it’s just a 12-minute walk along a wide, flat road, comfortable even for seniors and children. On the bright side, the road to this location is very picturesque, which helps soften the disappointment. And by the way, you can also visit the famous Bridal Falls, just 42 km away.

It is overall a great campsite, our site was spacious enough (some sites are too crowded/near each other) and well maintened. Not sure year round but there were a bit of bees. The water is clear and with some fish. The forest logging roads on the way is a beginners level and not much rocks but plenty of potholes. Easy camp within 2hrs from the lower mainland. Please be diligent in researching and booking campsites via the BC parks website.

INCREDIBLE, BEAUTIFUL hike. I do recommend being prepared. If you go early, there will be a lot of spider webs on the path. You need a stick. We didn't see a another human the entire hike. Very nice walk, easy difficulty. We saw the bear poop and knew he was around. We only had one can of Bubbly with us. We were city slickers not prepared at all. The threat of the bear is real.

Definitely enjoyed the campground, very clean. The park Rangers, we're constantly driving around, making sure that all the garbage cans recycling cans were all clean and emptied. Outhouses were clean. It's nice. Sandy beach area with lots of picnic tables. Make sure you bring extra tarps. In case it gets windy, so you can make a wind shelter. To block the wind

Beautiful place to relax , if you coming for camping there is a lots of good spots to choose from. Swimming, walking, or relaxing with the book you choose what you like 💖🌞🏕

Hicks Lake is a hidden gem! The water is clean, calm, and surprisingly warm - perfect for swimming. It’s a great spot for kayaking, with a few small islands you can paddle to and relax on their quiet, scenic beaches. Peaceful and beautiful, it’s a perfect escape into nature.

Beautiful lake, very well kept! The drive up isn’t super rough either which was nice!

This lake is absolutely gorgeous. Warm water great for swimming. Lots of beaches and rock areas so there’s room for everyone. There are dog aloud areas and no dog allowed areas. Multiple bathrooms pick Nick tables and swimming areas. Great trails to walk and explore. Lots of free parking and wheelchair accessible. There is camping available as well. Great Lake to take the family to. Sun and shade areas. Lots of geese to enjoy but with that comes a lot of geese poop. The geese poop is the only downfall to this lake

It was a little basic and I feel as a tourist it was not a memorable experience. My suggestion is to make it different and memorable. Maybe plastic plants, Buddhist statues, affirmation messages, sounds of nature and things like that. Offer meditation. You might even charge more for a better healing experience. I think this place has the potential to be amazing given its location across from the beach.

It's such an old mineral swimming pool I do not like it. My kids didn't have fun. It doesn't have an outdoor swimming pool, but it is an expansive pool.

Nice hot mineral pool shallow to 4 ft deep. With cement sitting places inside the pool under water. Sitting on it puts you up to the neck. Recommended pool time 15 minutes. Out of the pool lots of beach type chairs. It wasn't too crowded midweek. Lots of metered parking outside. One can rent lockers and towell. Need to take a shower before going into the pool and after. The water was hot but not too hot.

Although the pool felt awesome after our long drive -I felt it was very run down. The hand blower did not work in bathroom. The Matt's in change rooms were ripped. One of the two toilets was plugged and the place was dirty, no bathing suit spinner or plug to dry your hair. Radium and Ainsworth were beautiful outdoor springs and charged 2.00 more. We were through here in 9 years ago and remember the beautiful pools outside now it's not open to the public very sad!

2025-Nov-15, the cashier boy seem doesn't like his job or people (impolite). Hope you smile more when you do customer service. Pool is not crowded, clean. A lot of locker and changing room. There is a big window facing the lake.

A bit outdated. But overall staff are okay and the pool water is comfortable and warming-hot. Worth a visit. Make sure to call in before you drive over though to make sure they are open. Parking is free 5 minutes walk away before the visitor Centre, or paid parking within 1 minute walk away. Entry is CA$16 per person general ticket, all tax & fees inclusive.

I took my granson son twice at the posted times it said on the web site , it was Not Open..Several other people , tourists were there outside also disapointed it wasnt open. When I eventualy got in and asked the life guard why it was closed he said there was a shortage of life guards for The Publc Mineral Pool ? third time lucky ? I followed the times posted on the pool doors after the second attempt failed. I have been going to the pool over the years and For a World Class Destination , the Public Mineral Pool has gone down hill big time . The pool tiles need a good clean as do the pool water gutters and a coat of paint and wood stain would be a good idea also .New curtains in the changing rooms to brighten it up. Very disapointing to see a World Class Destination used by people from all over the world that are not staying at the Hotel neglected like this . :(
