It’s one of the hidden gems in Jasper. The view is breathtaking and celestial. The roads are damaged due to the catastrophic Jasper fire of 2024. I am unsure when they will be reopened.

The most spectacular glacier in Jasper…do not miss it! It’s a short uphill hike to the point where you have a better view of the glacier. If you’re able to find a quiet spot, you will hear the thunderous roar of ice breaking away from the glacier and falling into the frozen lake below. There are wildflowers along the trail in the summer…simply serene and so beautiful!!

This was a nice little hostel. We actually ended up having a whole room to ourselves. Keep on mind there isn't running water or anything like that. It has a nice main cabin with games and things like that. The manager, Scott actually was able to give us a ride to the lower parking lot so that we could get picked up by someone else for our Tonquin Valley loop hike. That was really appreciated!

Don't be fooled by the fire devastated forest on the way to resort. The resort withstand! It's beautiful! A variety of runs and the quality of terrain made me speechless. I was making runs after runs after runs without crazy lines on lifts. Mind you, there were dozens of ski schools that day from all over the world. The price of the lift tickets is more than reasonable. Plenty of fresh powder in April; where else can you find it?! I liked the way they arranged the parking lots. Doesn't matter which lot you take, you get direct access to a run that leads you to the resort. No shuttles, no walking with the gear! 👍

We had this on our list when we got to Jasper. It was worth the cost. The views are amazing up there. You can also see the devastation from last year's fire. We opted to hike to the summit. My husband, who is 79, stopped not far from where we started but told me to go on since I was in better shape. I was past the false summit when I just decided to turn around. It was worth it to climb if you can do it but don't go past your limits if you are older. If I was younger, I would've pushed on through since I was so close but I had more hiking to do that day so that was enough for me. We ate in the Summit Cafe and shared the brisket sandwich. It was delicious!! The views from the café are spectacular.

These falls were fantastic. The thunderous sound reminds you of the power of water and of nature. Seeing the rainbow as the water passes over the falls was an added bonus! Truly a must for anyone visiting Jasper National Park.

I absolutely loved this! Harkened back to days of old with the train museum. Entry is by donation and although, there was much to see inside, I found the outside to be simply incredible as evidenced by the pictures. As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience. Here is no exception as the staff were fantastic! Helpful, very friendly and equally informative. They give recommendations on some great food choices. Highly recommend multiple visits if you ever find yourself in Jasper. It's a very family friendly venue. LOVED IT!

Went in to take a look and the selection was amazing. Lots of art from local artists and was very happy to be able to support local. The staff member was super helpful and was great to chat with! Will definitely be back again.

Great shop to explore real canadian culture, arts and craft. They have an amazing indigenous carving section and products made from real animal fur. The lady at that counter is super friendly and shared amazing information regarding the art pieces. Must check it out when visiting jasper!

There are informative displays about the park’s geology, wildlife, and history, which make it a great little stop even on a rainy day. We left with detailed maps, new hiking ideas, and a deeper appreciation for Jasper. This place sets the tone for everything that makes the park so special—nature, heritage, and warm Canadian hospitality. Don’t miss it—your Jasper experience will be so much better if you start here.

We were staying at the Patricia lake bungalows and the bungalows is right facing the lakes. The water is quite clear and there is a dock where you may explore the beauty by boats. Come in the autumn and it is worth visiting for several times.

A day that will never be forgotten, The whole area is breathtaking, 1 week before Jasper burnt down. If this place is still good to go after the fires, my tips would be only going on a really hot day if you're going to swim. And do not lather on sunscreen. You're only going to pollute this amazing lake. also I can get very busy parking can be a problem and there isn't a whole lot of places to get back up after jumping in so you probably want to bring a floatie so you don't have to swim so far

Such a beautiful, special space and place - It only took me 12 years to get there - I can’t wait to come back again soon

The planetarium tour was fantastic. The presentation had great information and the visuals were nice. Would love to go back and do the telescope experience if we had time. The drive up was beautiful and the lodge is lovely.

In May, parking is convenient for RVs, the water is shallow, and there are picnic tables and chairs by the lake, making it perfect for a picnic.

If you’re in Jasper, this is stop number one. There’s a parking area where you can start exploring downstream. Along with stunning nature, you’ll find bridges over scenic canyons, beautiful nooks, and breathtaking waterfalls below. You can do a short loop and return to your car, or you can go all the way down, though it will take longer. We were even lucky enough to spot some deer greeting us right at the parking lot.

Beautiful look out with some nice trails. Trail was closed this time because of an eagles nest with 2 young in it. A herd of wild goats walked through the parking lot while we were there, then we seen a moose 2 km down the road to malign lake.

We had a great experience moving lake. It was amazing view. There is some few trails down there if you are interested to do some trading, but you can go with your family and spend some time there. There is a really nice restaurant there. You can try the food. It’s amazing you can also do a cruise which will take you to small tour. We did not do it.

The highlight of our trip! We had the most incredible experience on the Maligne Lake Cruise, a true 5-star adventure that exceeded all expectations. The history surrounding Maligne Lake is fascinating - this glacial masterpiece dates back millions of years, with depths reaching an astounding 300 meters and a temperature that'll give you chills, but the breathtaking beauty warms your soul. As we sailed, I couldn't help but reflect on the spiritual and cultural significance of this place to the Indigenous peoples. The mountains surrounding Spirit Island hold a special energy, and visiting this iconic spot felt like a sacred pilgrimage. Speaking of Spirit Island, its history is awe-inspiring - imagine the stories it could tell of the countless visitors who've marveled at its beauty over the years. We were able to experience this cruise through the Banff Pursuit Package, which was a fantastic decision as it significantly reduced the cost. The 1.5-hour cruise was perfectly paced, and the 20 minutes spent on Spirit Island felt like a dream. For those planning to embark on this journey, I have a few invaluable tips. When you first board, snag a seat near the front to capture those stunning photos of Spirit Island framed by majestic mountains. After your must-have shot, head to the lower area for closer island pics - you won't believe the detail you'll capture. And don't forget the back of the boat while it's moving away from the island - the perspective is simply magical. For the best lighting and most picturesque moments, I recommend booking the latest cruise. The way the sunlight plays with the water and mountains is truly enchanting, and your photos will be nothing short of extraordinary.

Definitely a tough climb but there was a wide range of folks on the trail, kids all the way to seniors, so you can do it! The panoramic view at the top is so worth it.

This is a great family place close to town; it doesn’t matter the season, everyone will enjoy. I usually went for hiking during spring and summer. But this year we started to learn about cross country skiing and it gave us a total different perspective. Lot’s of fun we had with the skiing and the sledding; this is definitely a place worth the visit.

Great 1 km trail around Kelly's Bathtub that can be continued to a longer trail around the attached kettle lake structure Jarvis Lake. Easy and virtually all flat, the view is brilliant and concludes with a small beach area right below the Visitor Centre. Great place for family and pets. Visit at sunrise or sunset for a chance to capture rising fog and a magnificent view of the shadowed mountain range behind the two connected lakes.

My family loved our time here! The dock was available for us to use. Water is shallow enough for people and dogs to swim. However please still be cautious as water can change quickly. Beautiful view of the mountains. Most definitely will come back. Also close to walking trails.

Visited June 2024. Went twice, not a lot of wildlife when we first went at 4 pm but plenty of beaver action when we came back again at dusk. They didn't seem phased by human presence at all, they just go about their business. Absolutely gorgeous.

Very friendly and informative. Tyler really took his time helping us out. With a lot of trails in Jasper closed right now, he really came through in pointing us towards some hidden gems around Hinton and Jasper. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area

Honestly, Margaret, the museum curator, takes the museum from interesting to amazing. She oozes charm and enthusiasm and needs her own youtube channel! We really enjoyed our visit. Also, the museum has great bathrooms...
