We were genuinely lucky as we had clear skies and about 2 hours of Northern Lights on show, so overall an incredible night. We paid for the extra package which included a walk into a darker area to be privately talked through what we could see. The giant scientific grade telescopes and the talks by the staff we so interesting and you could really feel the passion of the staff who were able to answer every question we had. However, I can appreciate if you only purchase the basic package of just the dome show, this would be disappointing as it's just a projector inside a tent, in a hotel car park, but the full package is well worth the money. There is a rainy day guarantee which is good, if you don't see stars, you have 2 years to return to try again, which is good even if you're a tourist on holiday.

This is a temporary built setup with a very very small dome and folding chairs and recliners inside. It’s on a parking lot of the Fairmont hotel. The hotel itself has a great view and walking area, that we enjoyed more than the show itself. The projection is blurry and the whole story is not well thought. It keeps jumping from one point to another without a logical sequence. Skippable.

The highlight of my summer so far! The tour is fantastic and the staff have so much knowledge it blew my mind. We arrived on a cloudy night but still learned and saw so much in the displays and talks, they have a nice cosy set up with a fire, too! We managed to go back the following evening for a complimentary look through the telescopes on a clearer night which was a brucey bonus. Kudos to everyone at the planetarium for putting on such a wonderful show, especially Gerran! And Beth was great with all the organizing!! I am recommending to everyone who visits Jasper, come clear or cloudy skies!

My partner and I went to the Jasper planetarium and did the dark sky package tour on July 27th! INCREDIBLE RAINY DAY POLICY! We were originally booked for July 26th but the weather was gray, muggy, and cloudy. One simple phone call and the Planetarium had no issue rescheduling us for any day of our choosing. They even let us think about it for a day to see how the weather would be before picking a new tour date. Absolutely beautiful clear night amidst a week of clouds and rain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING FOR THE DARK SKY PACKAGE, we got to walk privately with a small group around Lake Beauvart and see constellations, satellites, and even a glimpse of Saturn (looks like a big star, you can't see the rings through the binoculars on this particular day) through the crystal clear binoculars they provide. Super nice lodge and surrounding area, very fancy. Everything was ran well and smooth. You can tell the people working here love what they do and love teaching/showing others the night sky. Shoutout to Lyn our tour guide.

I went to Jasper with some friends and the Planetarium was definitely one of the highlights! It was a rainy day but they still made sure we had a fun experience and told us so many cool facts about space! Caitlin did our dome presentation and she did an absolutely phenomenal job. She was so enthusiastic and knew so many awesome things that were super fun to learn about! We were handed off to Gerran afterward where we went to learn some other really cool thing! He was also so wonderful and did an amazing job making everyone feel welcomed and entertained by making pieces of the presentation interactive which was super cool! I would absolutely recommend the planetarium to anyone heading over to Jasper, especially if you have an interest in space and the universe. Thank you to everyone at the Planetarium for such a wonderful experience!

Very impressed with the overall experience. The staff were knowledgeable and professional, and you could tell their enthusiasm of all things space related. Our family enjoyed the dark sky package and learned a few interesting points. Book in advance and make sure to dress warm.

What a beautiful trail. Here's the info and experience I couldn't find out before arriving. It is a gradual constant ascent, which actually makes it quite easy. Took us (my wife and I, plus our 4 year old boy and 7 year old girl) a little under 2 hours up, and 1 hour back down. Was well worth it. Not scary, no cliffs or drop offs, just a well traveled constant ascent.

The climb to the top is quite difficult, especially the last 400 meters. The trail runs through the forest, which protects you from the sun, which is comfortable when the weather is hot, and has the appearance of a serpentine. Also, along the way, there are wonderful views of the mountains, you can breathe in the fresh forest air, there are several natural benches for rest. The road took 2 hours to climb and 1 hour 20 minutes to descend, but I was in no hurry, so it all depends on your pace. The view at the top is incredible! I was there on a sunny and windless day and the visibility was very good! The Surphur Skyline Trail is an incredible route with spectacular mountain and valley views. The hike, while challenging, is rewarding with fantastic views and hot springs at the finish. Perfect for those looking for adventure and nature at its best!

This trail is a fantastic adventure for hikers of all ages. It lifts you out of the valley and delivers jaw-dropping views that make every step worth it. As you near the top, brace yourself—the last 400 meters are a bit of a scramble, but the payoff is incredible. Heads-up: it can get pretty windy at the summit, so don’t forget a windbreaker or a cozy layer. You’ll want to hang out and soak in the scenery for a while. Time? Depends who you ask. The posted hiking time is 4–5 hours, but let’s be real: I made it to the top (with photo stops, two water breaks, and a lightning-fast lunch) in under 2 hours—though I’ll admit, I was dragged up. So yes, the timing could use a bit of an update depending on your pace.

It took us 1h30mins up and 1h 15mins down. The walk is under the trees for most of the time and opens up towards the end, where the incline gets more serious. The 360° view is amazing. We saw squirrels at the top (often confused with chipmunks). Absolutely worth the hike.

Wonderful track! The vue on the top is unbelievable and the whole way is so charming, plenty of snow everywhere. It is a bit challenging at the end but totally worth it.

Great trail. It was a pretty easy hike up to the summit. We started early so our wasn't busy up top. Epic views. I would say the best views for the effort. Extremely busy on the way down. Passed SOOOOO many groups. Ended with a cold plunge at the hot springs.

Took us 1h45 return instead of the 4/5h written at the start. We saw chipmunks on top, rabbits on the way down, wild goats in the parking before we started and a black bear on our way back home. What an amazing day! The view at the top is stunning!

Among the most spectacular gems of nature, and it is very accessible to all. Get out there, go for a walk, save hundreds by not doing the Maligne Lake cruise. Seriously - you won't be disappointed!

Great sight! To see more of the Angel, climb the rocks. Please be sure to avoid trampling the delicate rock flora. Look out for Pikas and Marmots too.

Definitely recommend coming here! The drive in itself is exciting as you climb up the mountain you get beautiful views of the surroundings! The hike to see the glacier is relatively short, maybe a mile! Bring umbrella or rain jacket as the weather here can change VERY QUICK!

Angel Glacier is a short drive from Jasper on Mount Edith Cavell. The hike is short but is mostly uphill to the glacier itself. You can stop there or continue on to the meadows which has beautiful wild flowers. The view on this hike is spectacular and what even made it more memorable was that there were numerous mini avalanches that came crashing down on the water below which was pretty exciting to see. It's a must see if you're in the Jasper area that's for sure!

Short hike that gives you nice views of the hanging glacier. Longer hike option (around 6km) going into the woods.

very worth to visit. the time we visited is the the end of Jun. However, there's a heavy rain in Jasper park, so we change the plan and decide to visit Angel Glacier first. The rain turns into snow on the road heading to Angel Glacier(about one hour drive). we are in the snow-white world when arrived. it's a very special experience although the glacier has been covered by snow and dirt.

This mountain and lakes should definitely be on the list of visitors! Take comfortable shoes as the path will not be very winding and in stones. The glacier hanging over the lake and pieces of ice in the water is fascinating!

This is a medium level hike. Some areas are steep, slippery and be cautious. This is my favorite place in Jasper. Stunning and panoramic view. Couldn’t go until end of the trail due to time limitation but definitely come back. Parking is very tight. You have to come early morning. Winding roads.

One of the most beautiful mountains and hikes in the world. The drive to the top where the parking area is amazing. This place is a must visit while in Jasper. The parking lot gets full though and it can be hard to find parking so come very early or very late.

One of the most beautiful places we have visited. A road of about a kilometer and a half leads to a beautiful blue lake where ice floats. The leading road is full of many beautiful stones and the lake is bordered by a huge glacier. The height of the mountain is 3,633 meters above sea level and the Angel Glacier is a glacier that flows down the northern slope of Mount Edith Cowell. The mountain is named after the British nurse Edith Cowell who was executed by the Germans in the First World War. To get to Mount Edith Cavell's parking lot, drive from Jasper on Highway 93 (Glacier Highway) and shortly after passing the entrance to the park, turn right onto Highway 93A.

So cool. One of the best hikes I have done in Alberta! Saw a piece of glacier fall off yesterday which was so cool and a little sad. Trail gets hard near the top of mountain, but good for the heart 🫀. Well kept trail and the end is above the tree line which is interesting . The plants were cool.

Parking lot is really small, I had to wait for about 20 minutes to park. Trail distance is very friendly, only 700m from parking lot to the small pond at the foot of the glacier. It is shrinking, it will disappear some day. The water in the pond is really cold, some small icebergs are floating in the pond. A nice, small place to observe and feel glacier.

Easy loop hike for less than 3o minutes. Saw few people went out to swim in this beautiful beach/lake. They have their own private spots which is great. Dead trees and burnt logs are evident throughout the side of the trail but nevertheless, greenery are starting to grow. There's a public restroom on the start of the trail.

Such a beautiful little lake! Crystal clear water, surrounded by rocks and forest, and not too crowded compared to other spots in Jasper. I went paddle boarding here and it was perfect - calm, clear, and peaceful. People also come here to cliff jump, but even just sitting by the water feels amazing. Definitely one of my favorite spots.

Fun and safe easy cliff jumping- less than 20 feet available, water is clear and refreshing. Definitely a great place to go relax, chill, swim around a little bit and have fun! Would highly recommend

Horseshoe Lake wasn’t on our original plan, but we’re so glad we made the stop. Located just off the Icefields Parkway in Jasper National Park, this hidden gem is a beautiful, peaceful spot with crystal-clear turquoise water and dramatic rock formations. Way less crowded than the big-name lakes, and perfect for relaxing, taking photos, or even a cliff jump if you're feeling adventurous. Definitely worth the detour!

Not signposted, but you see the lake on your left driving towards Banff. Small car park. 30 mins loop “inside” the horseshoe. Beautiful views

Absolutely gorgeous lake just a short walk from the highway. The trail is clear to the lake then meanders along up and down the hillside, watch for roots and tripping hazards. The water is clear and cold but super refreshing on a hot day. If you're brave enough (or stupid enough) you can jump off the cliffs into the water. We didn't but saw others doing it; you'd definitely need to know exactly where to jump but there are places where the water is extremely deep. There is also an outhouse and garbage bins in the parking lot.

Sad to see it post wildfire, but still a beautiful lake and fun to cliff jump into.

This is another waterfall that you really need to stop at. Plenty of parking even for RVs. It was a short walk to the waterfall. There is a trail that you can walk around to see the waterfall. Definitely stop here when driving the Parkway.

We visited Athabasca Falls and loved it! The waterfall is powerful and the scenery around is breathtaking, with the Rocky Mountains all around. Great place to click pictures and enjoy nature — definitely worth a stop if you’re in Jasper.

Very pretty fall, the best fast falling with high intensity fall, beautiful views, you can soak in the nature, breathe in and take nice pictures. The parking lot is decent,there’s washrooms and short walk so definitely must try! The whole area can be viewed on wooden planks so super easy.

Athabasca Falls is absolutely breathtaking! The waterfalls are powerful and mesmerizing, surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. Walking through the footpaths is a stunning experience — every turn offers something new to see and appreciate. Even though the area was affected by the fires, its beauty and strength still shine through. It’s a must-see stop in Jasper — peaceful, scenic, and a true reminder of nature’s resilience. 🌿💧We visited October 2025 and it’s less crowded dress accordingly. Weather conditions change drastically.

A must-visit place on the trip to Jasper. An outstanding fall with a strong flow of water. It shows how small are human. A short hiking to the top and bottom of the cliff gonna bring to you a perfect view of the Athabasca river with burned forest. They are healing but look kind of ugly now.

Must visits if you are at Jasper. Parking is plenty and pretty short walk and one can go down the canyon also a bit.

My fave lake during my 2 week, travelling trip to Canada (more so than Lake Louise). It’s quieter (I went at the end of August), it’s picturesque, there are lots of trails you can go on. There’s a beautiful lake view restaurant and a FAB ice cream and waffle shop. I bought a Christmas decoration from the gift shop. You can go on boat trips (I didn’t- pre booking is essential). And you can kayak (booking on the day only, so everyone has an opportunity). We did a route called “moose lake”. The small “pool” lake was very peaceful and moose are often found grazing in there. We actually saw a moose in the main lake that was a joy to see and apparently he’s often there, showing off to visitors! If it’s wildlife you’re after, we saw a grizzly on the way back down the mountain, about 8pm. Having spoke to a lot of people in the area about this encounter, they all had photos of the same bear in the same area, so I think he also is a creature of habit! Finally, we had lots of food in our RV, so we stopped the next day at lunchtime, on the way up to the lake at a river best, rest stop on the left side. It was so joyous! They have fire pits with firewood to use for free! As well as picnic benches and the odd chipmunk to watch. It’s extremely picturesque and well maintained!

One of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen! Located in Jasper, it is quieter than most lakes but still a beautiful turquoise blue that takes your breath away. We took the Maligne Lake Cruise to Spirit Island and I highly recommend it!

Beautiful lake to spend time at. We did a boat trip out to spirit island which was excellent fun and informative. We also did a short walk after along the edge of the lake.

Amazing views with mountain backdrop. Didn’t do the cruise as it felt little overpriced and had other activities planned for the day. It can be an excellent picnic spot however there aren’t a ton of sitting areas near the water (reason I am docking a star). Either, you’ll have to walk further along the trail to find a good spot or sit away from the water. Plenty of parking with 2 overflow lots up the hill from the main parking lot.

Maligne Lake is absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of Jasper National Park. The turquoise water surrounded by mountains is breathtaking, and the boat trip to Spirit Island is unforgettable. There are also great hiking trails around the lake, making it the perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure.

Walking along the trails, every turn offers another stunning view — from peaceful forest paths to lookout points where you can see the lake stretch endlessly into the distance. We took time to just sit by the water and enjoy the calm, and it was incredible watching the reflections of the peaks change with the light. There are boat tours that take you out to Spirit Island, which is truly magical and worth every minute. The air feels so fresh, and there’s plenty of wildlife and scenic spots for photos. Even though the area has been affected by fires, the natural beauty still shines through — and it’s amazing to see how the land is healing. If you love nature, photography, or just peaceful places, Maligne Lake is a must-see in Jasper National Park.

We took the boat ride tour to the Spirit Island, it was wonderful experience worth every penny. Juliana was wonderful host . She shared so much information about the Spirit Island ,Indegenous history,culture and everything you want to know about the lake,mountains, glaciers

I took the Maligne Lake cruise and stopped at Spirit Island, the classic Jasper photo spot. It was cloudy and drizzling today, but that added a quiet and mystical feel. The island feels peaceful, almost like a fairytale. I only wish the stop could have been longer.

Spirit Island is one of the best places I have ever visited in my life. The place is exactly as described and even much more as one can really feel it only when you are there to experience it. Just like all the good things in life, the visit was only for 15 minutes as per the cruise schedule. The island is island when water is more and a peninsula when water is less. There are exactly 27 trees on the island. It is a very serene place and surely lifts ones spirits. I was happy to learn that the Canadian government has allowed the tribes to do their ceremonies after a gap of 💯 years. I'm also glad that no one is allowed to set up their feet on the island. The vegetation in the area is very delicate and only gets four to six weeks to grow every year as summers are really short. Please visit it serenely and delicately.

On a recent trip to Jasper, we visited Maligne Lake and Spirit Island both of which are among the most amazing, breathtaking, and culturally significant sites I have visited. Maligne Lake is a huge expanse of water surrounded by untouched wilderness that could have been an image on a postcard. The stunning views go on and on for miles before reaching Spirit Island. On the way we were informed of the history of the area, the original custodians of the land and how to best respect the area. When we arrived at Spirit Island, we were truly speechless at its beauty. The glacial green water and picture-perfect Island are not done the justice they deserve on Instagram, and I would urge anyone who can see it in person to do so. There is something really special about the place that you can just feel, and you really can understand why the first nations people hold it in such high regard. You could honestly spend days just gazing at the place and still never get tired of it. Nothing I can say, or any pictures would describe how amazing this place is and instead I would urge anyone who can go to just do it and see for yourself.

We took the cruise out to Spirit Island and had an amazing experience with great weather. Would highly recommend either renting a kayak/canoe or booking a trip on the cruise to experience being surrounded on all sides by 1 single mountain range.

Amazing spot with an amazing view. The island is not really an island, but beautiful nonetheless. We went in the morning, so we didn't get very good photos as the sun was directly in front. I understand the best time to go is in the afternoon around 2:30 or 3:00.

Currently, the water still flows dynamically down the rocky ledges, but the cooler temperatures have started to freeze the edges, creating dramatic, hanging icicles that frame and blend with the rushing water. This creates a stunning contrast: the clear flow tumbles against a delicate, crystalline sculpture of ice. As one of the most convenient stops on the Icefields Parkway, it is absolutely worth a brief pause. You can easily pull into the small parking lot located across the road. Toilets are also available in the parking area, making it a perfect spot for a quick break and a memorable photo opportunity.

A lovely quick stop on the way to the Skywalk! This picturesque waterfall is easily accessible right off the road and makes for a great photo op. While not massive, the falls are stunning and worth a brief visit to enjoy the soothing sound of the water. There's also a hike to Wilcox Pass nearby. Be cautious when crossing the pedestrian lines on Highway 93 to reach the falls.

As easy turn off on the road between Jasper and Lake Louise. No hike necessary. One of the most accessible waterfalls to be seen from the road. You need a park pass to drive this road but no other access ticket.

Gorgeous roadside waterfall! Super easy to access — just park and cross the road. No hike needed, and the falls are absolutely stunning. A quick and peaceful stop along the Icefields Parkway. Totally

How can you not give this place 5 stars? You literally step out of your car and BAM—waterfall in your face. No hiking, no sweating, no "are we there yet?" Just pure, majestic nature doing its thing right off the highway like it’s trying to win a beauty pageant for roadside attractions. Pulled over to stretch my legs and ended up having a full-blown photo shoot with this multi-tiered waterfall. It’s like Mother Nature knew road trippers needed a scenic slap in the face to stay awake. If you’re the kind of adventurer who likes your views high-effort-free, this one's your spirit stop.

Very nice roadside waterfalls, you park and cross the road through a crosswalk or stay in the parking and enjoy the view. We were there June 28th , still water is coming nicely from it . It’s part of the amazing Icefields Parkway easy stops and free attractions .

We didn't go into the Glacier on this trip but we plan to next time. We enjoyed wandering through the Discovery Centre and then going abroad the highway to hike to the Toe of the Athabasca Glacier. You can see the people on the Glacier who are on the Glacier tour. There is a fence at the end of the trail but everyone was pushing it down and stepping over to go all the way out to the water. So sad that no one follows the signs. I stopped at the fence. It was beautiful up there. The Skywalk is part of the tour. We also ate lunch in their cafe. The portions were big, so we shared. The parking lot was packed and there were people everywhere. It was crowded but worth visiting.

I've visited twice—once in August and again in early October—and the seasonal change offers a completely different experience. This October, the trail was already covered in fluffy, early snow, transforming the area into an all-white, magical kingdom. Absolutely amazing!

The Columbia Icefield Skywalk has exactly the same concept as the famous Grand Canyon Skywalk — a glass-floored walkway extending over a canyon. However, this one is much smaller, roughly about one-third the size of the Grand Canyon version. Even though it’s on a smaller scale, it’s extremely well maintained and very clean, which makes it a pleasant experience overall. I wouldn’t describe it as very thrilling or scary, especially if you’ve been to the Grand Canyon Skywalk before. That said, it’s still worth visiting as part of the Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure package, especially if you’re also doing the Glacier tour on the same day. It’s a nice way to round out the experience. We went on a Monday evening, which turned out to be perfect — there were very few people, and we practically had the entire walkway to ourselves. It gave us plenty of time to stroll slowly, enjoy the views, and take photos without feeling rushed. This was a huge contrast to my past experience at the Grand Canyon Skywalk, which was very crowded and hectic. Ticket tip: If you buy tickets for the Skywalk alone, it’s around CAD $50 per person. However, I recommend purchasing a Pursuit Pass or a bundle that includes other attractions, which you can easily find online. If you pre-book online, you can usually get around 20% off, making it a much better deal.

The whole experience was great! Both our drivers on the bus and ice explorer were very social, giving us cool facts, and cracking jokes. On the glacier itself was really cool but the zone we were allowed to go on was pretty small with a lot of people. There was great places to take pictures and even a Canadian flag. The skywalk was my favourite, the little 10 minute walk to the actual skywalk was cool with little facts about animals and plants that are native. The skywalk itself was great but the glass was a little dirty and muddy so it wasn’t the greatest for pictures. Also there were so many people that it was hard to get a good picture with people walking in your way all the time. Besides that it was amazing with the views and views of waterfall down below. It’s a little scary at first but after you’ll feel great about doing it. Highly recommend!

What a spot! The Skywalk gave us absolutely stunning views — the glass-floor platform hanging over the valley is one of those things you’ll remember. We walked the interpretive trail, took in the rugged landscape, and yes, walking out onto that suspended walkway 918 feet (280 m) above the valley floor was both thrilling and calming. We weren’t actually on the glacier itself, but we still felt like we were right in the heart of the wild. The view of the ice-capped slopes and the surrounding peaks framed by the valley is something you’ll struggle to capture in a photo. All in all: definitely worth doing, especially if you’re visiting the area and want something memorable without a full-blown hike. Just go with your eyes open: pick a less-crowded time if you can, and don’t expect it to replace a full glacier walk.

A remarkable experience! Walk on the glacier, and learn about its critical importance and history. Our "Ice Explorer" driver was very knowledgeable, kind and humorous. It was windy, cold and rainy the day we were there, but we still had a fantastic time. Dress for freezing temperatures and wear waterproof boots if you have them. After the ice walk on the glacier, we got onto a bus that took us on an 8 minute ride out to the "Skywalk" where we walked out onto a see-through platform that hangs way out over the canyon. I think from beginning to end, our experience was about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I would consider this a "must do" when visiting Lake Louise, Banff, or Jasper. They do have RV parking, and an overflow parking lot across the street if the main parking lots get full. I believe they even have overnight RV parking available for a small fee. Enjoy your adventure. I know we will remember ours for our lifetime.

Visited in May 2025. All of the staff I encountered throughout were fantastic and knowledgeable. Especially the young lady who had a little stall with info of all the wildlife (sorry, can't remember your name). The views on offer are incredible. Also visited the glacier which cool. (It's quite slippery - wish I chose more suitable footwear!)

Absolutely amazing experience and I would recommend anyone that hasn’t been here please go visit and understand and see how beautiful the nature feel it drink it literally drink that glacier water it’s refreshing . Get ur glacier facial feel how beautiful that feeling is . Also for the team Andy was the best driver it was my second time and my moms 1st and she has an absolutely blast weather was perfect when we visited and I was super excited to share that experience with my mother . The staff is amazing shops cool many awesome things to buy as souvenir and pictures u will get tired taking . Everything is amazing abt this place and experience .

It was first time I was on a glacier, was amazing to see something as beautiful and magnificent at the same time. But sad to see how global warming is impacting all. The ride was good, a 1.3 million Mercedes benz Explorer

You should be prepared to lose phone coverage over 200km and be aware to have enough fuel as the nearest gas station was charging above average around 1$ extra. Other than that enjoy the road as it is amazing the crystal phyerouzi color are wonderful Get a jacket as the glacier area are colder

The glacier visit was amazing. Nice weather, beautiful blue sky. The ride on the bus was amazing and the guide very knowledgeable. Once in a lifetime adventure, great with family and young kids.

One of the most beautiful roads I have driven. Views, stop offs its mesmerising. Would recommend over any other experience in the park.

Information centre building and experience are stunning. The centre has a great gift shop, gallery, washrooms restaurant, lodge and Starbucks. It is the start of the journey by taking the bus to the glacier. It is a life time experience that should not be missed.

We really enjoyed this. We got to walk on an actual glacier, make snow angels and stick our face in the run off, I'd say a once in a lifetime experience. The drive up is just as beautiful.

Absolutely amazing trail. Recommend wearing hiking boots as well as using poles. Lots of uphill and quite the workout. It’s about 9.5 km up and back down if you do the whole trail. The views during the hike are amazing and beautiful. Lots of little patches of running water. The view at the top is gorgeous. It is a lot colder at the top, so be sure to dress warm! Takes about 3-4 hours for the whole hike, depending on how many breaks you take.

What a wonderful view of the Athabasca glacier from the Wilcox Pass Trail! It’s a moderate hike with sweeping views of the glacier throughout. Highly recommend doing this trail instead of paying to take the bus that parks on the toe of the glacier….seems like the worst way to view a glacier while destroying it at the same time!!

By far one of the most amazing trails I've ever done,make sure you dress well and are prepared for a few hour hike.Once you finish switchbacks you are quickly above the treeline and looking at the sheer beauty of the icefields parkway and all the glaciers and the highway way down below.I would say 10 years old and up should have no issues at all keeping in mind there are some places you would not want to fall off of if too curious,this is a hikers,nature lovers and photographers paradise.Once you hit the red chairs keep going the views improve all the way!!

The trail is very steep for the first half, but it's short. Beautiful falls and slot canyon! Designated parking for RVs and 3 or 4 big rigs.

Mistaya Canyon is a standout stop on the Icefields Parkway. The trail can be steep in parts, but the breathtaking views of the waterfall and canyon make it well worth the effort. With multiple viewpoints and access to the river, this loop trail is a must-visit. I stumbled upon the trailhead by chance and was blown away by its beauty. Even with kids in tow, we were all in awe of the stunning scenery. Highly recommend this place.

Mistaya Canyon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful stops along the Icefields Parkway. Located about 75 kilometers north of Lake Louise, the trail head begins at a parking lot, from which a partly steep hiking trail leads about 10 minutes down into the valley and to a bridge. The steadily increasing noise then announces an extraordinary natural phenomenon: Mistaya Canyon - a winding, dark gray gorge with white-foaming whirlpools and impressive small waterfalls. Despite this impressive natural spectacle, you should be careful: the edges of the rock slabs can be very slippery! If you have a little more time, bring sturdy shoes and food and hike up on the other side to Howse Pass (10 km there and back), from where you have more great views of Mistaya Canyon. If you don’t have that much time, a stop at the canyon alone is absolutely worthwhile!

Very cool spot just off the road. It looks a little shady and it’s a steep descend/climb on a dirt path where you can’t see much. The end isn’t far at all, and so worth it. Don’t get too close to the edge!

This was one of my favorite hikes in the area, all the waterfalls and canyons were so pretty.

Take a charming moment to stretch your legs and indulge in the breathtaking beauty of nature around you. And don't worry — there's a toilet available too! : )

A must do trail ride! Horses were all amazing and so kind to all riders. The staff were the best! Fun, kind, caring and loved to chat and share their stories! 3 hr tour was so worth it! Will be coming back to ride again!

Love this place. Beautiful tents and the staff is wonderful. Im glad there is an electic fence around the tent. We found cougar prints outside our tent in the morning but we were perfectly safe. Going back labour day weekend!

A fantastic experience that almost makes me want to move back to Alberta. Stunning views, gentle and well trained horses, as well as kind and genuine guides (thank you Gauge and Parker!). I haven’t been on an horse for over 15 years and I felt very comfortable and confident on my horse Cactus. Our three hour ride was relaxing and included a tasty lunch overlooking the canyon. I would absolutely ride with MTW again and consider going for a longer multi-day trek. Thank you kindly!!

We stayed at McKenzie’s Trails West as Airbnb guests in one of the tents – and what an experience! A perfect mix of luxury and true Canadian outdoor adventure. The tent was super cozy, with a comfortable bed, thick warm blankets, and a wood-burning stove that gave us a real romantic feeling. On the first night, the stove worked perfectly. On the second night, we had some trouble – it filled the tent with smoke, possibly because the flap inside the pipe needs maintenance. Still, we absolutely loved the stay. The campfire spot outside was awesome, with firewood ready to use. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and all the staff were very kind and welcoming! The highlight for us was the horseback ride. Our guide Tjasmin, originally from Australia, was amazing! I rode Hudson, and we really clicked. The trail was stunning and peaceful, with amazing views and that real cowboy feeling. Total cowboy vibes – exactly what us “German krauts” were looking for! Also, we booked a helicopter tour across the road with Rockies Heli Canada – absolutely worth it and easy to combine with a stay here! Thanks for an unforgettable experience – we’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I had a blast during our trail ride today! Our guide Lane was fantastic, and Mingo & Mr Big were amazing horses to ride!

Just a city girl who wanted to ride a horse and what an amazing experience. This was my first time riding a horse and these folks made my experience all I had hoped it to be. I figured I'd go all in and do the 4 hour trail ride which gave the full experience. Amazing mountain views and a nice little creek with to have lunch. The horse I was given was Navaho and she sensed my curiosities and she showed me a few things a horse can do! So much fun. Parker was our guide and he was very helpful and made me feel safe. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. Thank you folks for my experience. 💜

Just finished up a 6 day trip with McKenzie’s and there aren’t enough adjectives to describe just how amazing this trip was. Honestly, just book. You have to see it for yourself. Anneke and Kenzie went above and beyond to ensure we were full to our eyeballs, comfortable and equipped for each day. Both experienced horse women, they gave us tips and answered all our questions and had some hilarious anecdotes from the outfit to keep us entertained. Logan and Lane’s family ties and respect of the land, horses and outfit is evident in their passion, enthusiasm and pride when guiding us through. Both charismatic and intelligent cowboys, they welcomed the opportunity to impart knowledge and encourage participation in all aspects of the trip. Kate and Maddy were my points of contact for logistics and questions (I had lots of them lol) they were both super friendly and excited to have us there, they took all questions seriously no matter how trivial. A true hidden gem on our road trip! We visited Abraham Lake and were lucky to catch it under the sunshine 🌟 absolutely stunning. We even spotted some wildlife while we were there. Just a heads-up: it gets super windy

This is just an incredible lake! I have never seen such a bright light blue color of water! There are mighty beautiful mountains around the lake. I am really impressed by this area. I highly recommend everyone to visit. Sanatoriums and hotels could be built here. Because unfortunately there is still not enough appropriate service. I am sure it is a matter of time.

Awesome hike! 6 km roundtrip out and back, a few inclines but overall the trail is pretty moderate and flat. You move across the plains and into some forest/shrubs, then into a beautiful thick forest. Trail runs along the river for quite some time, super refreshing! View at the end is totally worth it.

Moderate 6 km walk. Starts on a wooden pathway, cross over the river on a suspension bridge and then a well groomed pathway. Couple of steep hills but manageable. Gorgeous views of canyons and the waterfall is impressive.

Low effort. High reward. I would recommend this hike to anyone passing through the area. A short walk with minimal elevation gain takes you across two bridges, a boardwalk on the plain, and a great waterfall. Not to mention the amazing spot next to the falls where you can have a snack. The first falls are only a 45min walk. You can take the trail a little further (10min) and see another fun formation with raging water. The second and third set of falls are more of a hike. Be prepared for more effort. Commit to another 3 hours to get there and back to the first falls. Precarious ridge trails along the gorge, steep inclines, and forest paths. There is enough tree coverage to create shade for much of the hike. Some of the trail is not for the faint of heart, but the third set of falls is impressive as you can get right down to the riverbank. Total trip time from the parking lot and back was 5 1/2 hours (with a 30min lunch). Highly recommend the first waterfall. Super easy walk and suitable for kids.

Easy in and out trail. Gorge lookout before falls is awesome. Falls are small but mighty. This is a great hike. Carry bear spray. Keep dogs on leash. Upper Falls - The trail past the main falls is more difficult. But worth the walk for the views. Not suited for elderly, out of shape or young children as it’s steep, has tricky traverses across steep, rooted, slopes and canyon edge. Hiking poles recommended. If you make it to the rock wash DO NOT go turn left on the edge of this creek bed. Stay right / straight then drop down through the bush (if it looks bad you’re in the right place) you will see the trail above the creek bed on the opposite side. You have to climb around and over water stream and slippery rock. Continue on trail for another 2 klm or so up the Siffleur River Canyon. At the end there is a very steep muddy drop off down to the rivers edge and another small waterfall. 🙂

It was gorgeous just like that entire area its so beautiful.hurry up and go see it because last friday i have never seen so many people there its horrible its becoming slowly like Banf.. to many noisy people. Garbage and loud music ect. Go on a monday or tuesday.

Went there on a whim. Its aboout 2hr drive from Abrahams Lake. The trail is too long and not very comfortable apart from those bridges. Have to cross 2bridges and then there is about half hour steep hike. In the end it was all worth the sweat. The time is for back and forth. The view from up top was beautiful. Must visit especially before sunset and take that beauty in from there! Parking is free. Restrooms are where you park and nowhere else. The trail mostly is dog friendly but make sure they have comfortable shoes on feet for hot ground and lots of water.

Peyto Lake is an absolutely mesmerizing lake, with a brilliant turquoise colour that looks beautiful in any season. The main viewpoint is a very short hike from the parking lot. You can also hike down to the lake, but is harder than the viewpoint. The atmosphere is unforgettable whether it’s foggy, snowing, raining, or sunny.

Beautiful view. Easy short hike. For best view, go there in the late morning or early afternoon before the sun goes behind the mountain and shadow the mountain covers the lake.

The trail was a very steep trail but easy very short hike, its a bit challenging for new trailblazers so recommend support or slow route option. Definitely worth the view, look is so blue and pretty and shaped like a wolf.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful lakes in Alberta and in all of Canada. The short hike to the viewpoint is absolutely worth it, offering stunning scenery and photo opportunities. It can get quite busy, so it’s best to arrive early to fully enjoy the experience in peace.

I loved Peyto more than Lake Louise. Blue water surrounded by mountains was breathtaking. Pretty normal hike (<1km) that leads to the deck to view this beauty. Parking available.

Peyto Lake was one of the most beautiful lakes I visited during my trip to Banff and Jasper. The short hike up to the viewpoint was absolutely worth it — the turquoise color of the lake is breathtaking and looks almost unreal. A must-see stop if you’re exploring the Icefields Parkway!

Peyto you have my heart ❤️. Around 700m hike from parking lot. Its hidden gem. Peyto lake looks very beautiful. Parking lot is big, washrooms on site. Observing Deck is great spot to enjoy this beautiful turquoise lake. Family friendly environment. If you are travelling to Columbian Icefield or Jasper its a quick scenic stop.

A gorgeous lake with stunning views year round. Each season offers something different. Quite peaceful and serene in the winter, vibrant in the summer. Atmosphere is beautiful, definitely worth a stop.

Beautiful lake that perhaps has a less dramatic viewpoint than Peyto Lake but still worth a visit. Do note that it is more difficult to get out to the lakeshore when it’s wet as the foreshore area turns into mud.

It's a really nice lake, even if it's not as well-known as Louise or Moraine. Definitely worth checking out, but the parking and facilities weren't great.

Alberta has many big and beautiful lakes. Lake Bow is also a great lake! It gives me relaxation and comfort. I recommend you to go if you have a chance.

Personally, I prefer Bow Lake to Lake Louise. Bow Lake has fewer people, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere amidst beautiful natural surroundings. It’s only about a 30-minute drive from Lake Louise to Bow Lake, making it a worthwhile destination. If you enjouy hiking, there are several impressive trails, such as my favorite trails, The Onion and Iceberg Lake.

Bow Lake is one of the largest lakes in Banff National Park. Laying at the base of Bow Summit, you can observe beautiful mountain scales set with this gorgeous lake. Bow lodge, once a private residence and sold in 1996, has a “Provisions” area and small patio where you can enjoy a sandwich, coffee or dessert. They have a parking lot and it’s a very short walk to the lake.

Easily reached by car with roadside parking and a viewing platform Bow Lake is a must-stop for any Icefields Parkway journey. Its striking glacial colors, peaceful atmosphere, and accessibility make it ideal for both brief visits and extended exploration. Whether you’re snapping a quick photo, paddling the turquoise water, or hiking toward the glacier, it’s a highlight that outshines its roadside appearance.

The last 500m, we passed through 2 ft of thick snow. I recommend doing this after late June because you can barely see any water in the frozen lake, but views are amazing from the top.

This first 3/4 of the hike is a steady climb, in a forest. The rest is a beautiful meadow. The lake was still frozen (June 26th) when we went. The water was high in the creek so we had to walk through the water bare foot. Saw lots of wildlife hiking at 9am.

From all the hike i have done this september, this one was the hardest, 6km to arrive at the Lake but..... the view of the lake wooooorth it a million time. My friend brought cupcakes to celebrate my birthday there and it was a winter wonderland dream becoming true.

We did not start this hike until almost 4:30 pm and were the last ones going up. There had been quite a few sightings of a grizzly bear earlier that day but we just made a lot of noise along the way. There were a lot of people coming down so there was activity. The flowers on the meadow and hillsides up higher were amazing. It took about 1 hr 45 minutes going up( and there is a LOT of up) and almost 1 hr 30 minutes going down it it was worth the views.

The lot was full by 10:30 so I parked at the Crowfoot Glacier viewpoint, requiring waiting for a break in the busy Icefields Parkway traffic to cross back over. One outhouse is available at the trailhead. It's 12Km return to Helen Lake but we decided to venture beyond to explore the ridge above it. Photos taken August 8, 2019

The lake was frozen when we visit but still look amazing. Very scenic. Will come back one summer so we can kayak in this place.

⭐ Beautiful tranquil Emerald lake, which takes its name from the lovely green color reflected from the sediments in the lake. There’s a flat walking trail that we could take to walk round the lake, but it is quite a big lake. There are also bear signs/ sightings around the area so need to be careful if walking the trail. Can also rent a canoe 🛶 to go around the lake but it is rather expensive. Pix were taken in early June in the late afternoon.

Visited in early October and the lake was a mesmerizing emerald green. Renting a canoe is a must! the red boats against the green water create a beautiful, striking contrast. Absolutely spectacular scenery. Highly recommend

Emerald Lake is one of the most breathtaking spots in Yoho National Park. True to its name, the water shines in brilliant shades of emerald green, especially on sunny days, and the surrounding peaks reflect beautifully off the surface. The lake is easily accessible, with a flat walking trail that loops around the shoreline, offering peaceful views from every angle.

One of the prettiest places in all of Banff! Get there early so you can enjoy the peace and quiet before the buses show up (also for parking). I highly suggest canoeing if you can. It’s absolutely stunning from the water! There’s a path to walk and a boardwalk/road for those who can’t with beautiful views too!

It’s no surprise this spot is one of the most photographed places in the region. Canoeing across Emerald Lake was the highlight of my visit. Gliding gently over the calm, jewel-toned water felt magical — like floating in a dream. The silence, broken only by the soft splash of the paddles, was deeply relaxing. There’s also a cozy lodge nearby with a café that serves warm drinks and local food — the perfect way to end a day of exploring. The staff were friendly, and everything felt peaceful and well-kept. Emerald Lake is not just beautiful; it’s healing. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe deeply, and feel grateful just to be alive. I left with my heart full and my mind calm. A truly five-star natural wonder — serene, stunning, and unforgettable.

I don't have words to explain the beauty of this place. Its must visit place stunning view around the falls, breathtaking scenery and beautiful running water . when you park the car you can't imagine whts next . Just walk towards the bridge and enjoy the water fall at the end. Note: Baby stroller can easily Go there. Note: Washrooms are not that standard, no water access so just sanitizer. Try to avoid to use.

It was an amazing sight, very simple and accessible on the way to this waterfall. You can see it from afar, and it looks majestic, huge, and tall. When you arrive, you have very easy access to the waterfall itself, and you can truly enjoy the view. There are quite a lot of people, and the parking lot gets full, but you can park a little further away and take a short walk. A wonderful place for kids, adults, and seniors. Absolutely stunning!

A must-see destination for all nature lovers! This is the second tallest waterfall in Canada and it’s absolutely breathtaking. The area is pet-friendly! Be sure to dress for the weather, the water is extremely cold, and you’ll definitely catch some mist but the views make it completely worth it.

Pretty cool falls that you can walk right up to. Short walk along the river and across a tiny bridge then another short walk to the base. Turn around when you arrive as the views of the surrounding mountains are almost as good as the falls themselves. Come early as parking lot fills up quick! Don't follow the signs for the toilets as they don't make sense (they are to the right of the parking lot, by the river). Well worth a visit.

Had a wonderful experience exploring takkakaw falls..though to get there was bit of a ride ( some part of the road is narrow) we went there last august after a hot drive and canoeing,it was an amazing view and the water from the falls splashing in our face was refreshing and help us cooled off. Will explore the whol3 area nexr time

The falls were quite loud and powerful rushing over the cliff. As you're driving down you can see it from the road, bouncing off the rocks and creating a beautiful mist. Parking was a challenge and we thankfully found a spot on the side of the road. There were a lot of people but we were able to maneuver around most of them. There are pit toilets at the start and the walk to the falls is an easy, flat .50 mile. Be prepared for crowds.

This is a MUST DO on your Banff trip. The walk to the falls is paved so very easy to make. If you want to approach the falls, do so in boots because the incline is great and the surface is very loose and rocky. Go early in the morning to beat the crowds.

This park is absolutely stunning! The color of the lake is breathtaking. There is an easy scenic trail around the lake with beautiful views of the mountains and wildflowers. It can get overcrowded so it’s best to visit early in the morning or after 3 PM for a more peaceful experience. Otherwise, it is hard to get a parking spot. June and July are the ideal months to witness the beauty at its peak. A must-visit for nature lovers!

The emerald lake was picture perfect place to visit! Emerald green lake, green tree, well-maintained and pretty place. The cafe is cute. The service was nice. I went in with my family while it was raining hard outside (which doesn’t impact the beauty of the lake). Apparently, my family didn’t want anything since ut’s close to the dinner time but the server was very nice and still took a good care of us despite we only order one cocktail—rose sangria which was delicious. I would recommend this place for anyone.

This is such a beautiful place. I didn't get much time in this park. But everything I've seen is absolutely stunning. I love how beautiful Mother Nature can be. ( the creator)

One of the absolute best national parks! Emerald Lake with its highly accessible, indescribable beauty. Takkakaw Falls, Natural Bridge…just couldn’t be better. Slightly less crowded than neighboring Banff, but still crowded at popular spots in the summer.

The park was beautiful… at least the bits we could see! Went at the end of May and almost lot of the major attractions were still closed. This seemed unnecessary given the lack of snow at this time of year. Lake O’Hara busses services weren’t running yet and would have had to walk 11km each way to see it. Takakkaw falls were closed entirely. Only really got to see emerald lake which was super busy. I’m sure it would have been a beautiful 5-star park had we been able to see some of it.

So gorgeous. By far the prettiest place on earth I've been in my life. Please visit if you get the chance, visit all four of the neighboring national parks, they're well worth it.

Amazing scenery at this national Park. Dog friendly trails which is great. Parking is limited at Emerald Lake so get there before or after lunch bus crowds. Nature's bridge is fantastic, small parking lot though

A wonderful rapid mountain river, with a so-called natural bridge made of stones, surrounded by forest and mountains. You can walk and relax, admiring the beautiful scenery. There is a large parking lot.

It's just a stop off the road but probably one of my favorite ones. You can walk right up to the waterfall, although some are probably braver than they should be as they get too close ... or even walk over the rock bridge!!! It's truly amazing watching the water and it's calmer upstream. My daughter even made a little sand structure with the silt.

The Natural Bridge is an amazing stop in Yoho National Park. The Kicking Horse River has carved right through solid rock, creating a powerful natural arch with rushing water beneath—it’s fascinating to see up close. Easy to access with short walking paths and viewpoints, so it’s perfect for a quick stop on the way to Emerald Lake. Beautiful, unique, and worth a visit!

Visiting Natural Bridge was an awe-inspiring experience that reminded me just how powerful and artistic nature can be. The bridge itself — formed naturally by centuries of water carving through solid rock — stands as a symbol of strength and timeless beauty. It’s one of those places that leaves you speechless the moment you see it. The sound of the roaring river below adds to the thrill, as turquoise water rushes powerfully through the stone arch. The contrast between the deep, clear water and the rugged rock formations creates a dramatic scene that’s both humbling and breathtaking. Standing at the viewing platform, I felt a mix of peace and wonder — it’s hard not to be amazed by what nature has sculpted here. The area around Natural Bridge is easy to explore, with well-maintained walkways and several scenic viewpoints that allow you to see the bridge from different angles. Each view reveals something new — swirling rapids, moss-covered rocks, and sunlight dancing through the mist. The energy of the place is powerful yet calming, perfect for anyone who loves photography, hiking, or simply soaking in the beauty of the earth. The nearby trails and picnic areas are clean and well-marked, and the staff and park rangers are friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great spot to visit in any season, but especially stunning in summer and early fall when the colors and light make the entire area glow. Natural Bridge is not just a sight — it’s an experience. It reminds you that true beauty doesn’t need to be built; it’s already here, carved patiently by time and water. A perfect five-star natural wonder — majestic, powerful, and unforgettable.

Very beautiful. It’s just off the highway on the way to Emerald lake, so it’s a two for one attraction.

Free to visit, with a small car park. No specific RV parking, but we parked our 30ft'er on the side of the car park fine. Got busy by 11am. Nice place to stop after Emerald Lake, as along the same road.

The bridge is located in BC, walking through it offers you a beautiful panoramic view for the river and the fall, I went there for a short time by a touristic bus, me and all members of the group enjoyed the place.

This is a very beautiful park with hiking trails,waterfalls and Emerald Lake that is a must see. The views of the Rockies are amazing. The parking can be a problem near the Emerald Lake at times but you can park on the side of the road. You can rent a canoe if you want to do that $100/hour. I saw people swimming as well. Takakkaw waterfalls are gorgeous. There is a long and winding road to get to the falls but it is worth it. There are few lookout points on the way. The parking can be busy at times but you can always find a spot. There are other attractions that you don't want to miss and you need a whole day or more to explore this park.

If you have not planned your national Park visit, you need to stop here too get your permit and plan your day or time. They have info on everything you can do in Yoho national Park. There are flush toilets here. They have a store here. You can get Canada version of passport cancellation stamps here. Park for a car is ready but if you have an RV or trailer it will be very tight to get in and out but there were some in there. They also have some interrogative signage and Yoho brothers across the street. Give this review a like 👍 or ♥️ if you are going to the visitor center or just looking thinking about it.

When they hit you with the park entrance fee, you might think, "Wow, that's almost a nice dinner." But then you drive in, and the park, in its infinite Canadian smugness, delivers a sucker punch of pure, unadulterated beauty. Takakkaw Falls is so majestic, I'm pretty sure a bald eagle landed on my shoulder and wept. Emerald Lake is so impossibly turquoise that it made my Instagram filters redundant, and that's a small tragedy. I had to pay money for this, and honestly, I'm not even mad. The sheer, overwhelming prettiness of it all changed me. I used to be a cynic who scoffed at nature. Now? I am a person who has seen god-tier mountain views. My friends back home are still posting pictures of their backyard vegetable gardens, and I'm over here with my selfie stick, posing in front of a waterfall that looks like it was created by a moody demigod. I'm better than them now, and it's all thanks to the Parks Canada annual pass. Was the park pass expensive? Yes. But consider this: you're not paying for a park. You're paying for a personality upgrade. And frankly, I'm worth it.

Lovely visitors centre and rest stop. Has a small but very good selection of fossils from the area, very helpful friendly staff, a nice little shop, a play park and nice lake with a beach outside. Loads of information about Yoho and the surrounding areas.

Clean, bright, bustling facility with various amenities including a small pond with clear, swimable water, a playground, picnic tables, washrooms with multiple, well kept stalls and sinks (warm water!), seating areas, exhibits, a mini library of local wildlife and history books, cool water fountains, and a bank of phone charging lockers(?). Park employees are in and outside waiting to answer questions and make suggestions.

What a great stop along the way to Calgary or Banff national parks. It’s a fantastic place to learn some history , eat and take a break from driving.

Walcott Quarry hike was excellent. The scenery, including Yoho Lake, Wapta Mountain and views from high above Emerald Lake are amazing, and our guide Antoine did a great job of explaining the geology and fossils that we saw. It’s a long hike, about 8 hours return with 800m of elevation gain, so not suitable for everyone but a great experience.

We did the Mt Stephen hike on our first day of our vacation here and it was the BEST way to start our trip! This was such a cool and unique experience and the views were amazing. Our guide, Chelsea, was extremely knowledgeable and made the hike even more enjoyable.

A guided hike to the Burgess Shale led by the Geoscience Foundation is a must do on your trip to Yoho national park. Our guide (Hugh) was masterful at providing the scientific content to the group in a way that was interesting to folks with all levels of interest and background. We had a mixed crowd of grade school children as well as adults who had been fossil enthusiasts for 60 years and everyone came away having learned something and appreciating the fossils even more. Can't speak highly enough of the guide's knowledge and enthusiasm for engaging with us :)

Amazing experience. The hike was incredible -- through a beautiful forest with amazing views -- and reaching the fossils beds was so cool (for lack of a better articulation). On top of it, our guides were amazing. Both Steven and Antoine (I can't spell) were engaging, friendly, knew the right pace to hike at, and were insanely knowledgeable, the both of them. This added so much to the experience! Highly recommend this if you're in the area ... Or, better yet get to this area so you can do this hike!

On Sunday, August 24 we were guided up to the Mt Stephen Trilobite Beds by Chelsea. She was excellent in managing the group up on a hike for fun ( not fitness), introducing us to fellow hikers/friends and filling us with facts about plants and of course fossils. We wish Chelsea all the best in her future exploration of Glaciers in her master’s pursuit.

We recently did the Mount Stephen hike with the Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation. Our guide Antoine was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful throughout, and made sure the experience was enjoyable and educational. Such a great experience.

We had such a great day with Antoine and Kennedy and learned so much from our conversations with them about geology and paleontology. What our leaders shared gave an invaluable perspective! They long hard hike to the top paid off. Thanks so much.
