Medicine Lake Lookout, located halfway along the Maligne Lake road, offers a great chance to spot pika, small members of the rabbit family. The viewpoint provides a serene view of the calm and clear water of Medicine Lake. Visitors can also observe the Bald Eagle Nest with binoculars and admire the majestic mountains.
Beautiful look out with some nice trails. Trail was closed this time because of an eagles nest with 2 young in it. A herd of wild goats walked through the parking lot while we were there, then we seen a moose 2 km down the road to malign lake.
Corey R — Google review
We got here in bad weather, but it made the lake even more attractive. The beautiful color of the water is surrounded by trees (unfortunately burnt on one side). There is a trail around the lake and you can take a walk. Also, if you look up, you can meet an eagle that fights with a crow 😅🤣 we were happy to see it.
Ольга Д — Google review
This is an absolutely beautiful lake that has many different aspects and habitats. The views from all sides were beautiful, especially the incredible wetland. There were massive amounts of dead and diseased trees around the edge, but it did not ruin the view. This lake is well worth it!
E B — Google review
The parking area is a well-known spot for eagle watching. I heard that on clear days, photographers often come here to capture the scene. Today was cloudy, but we were lucky to see an eagle chick with its mother.
Judy H — Google review
Amazing Medicine lake lookout point. Lake itself is magnificient with exceptional view of mountains. This look out point wont take long unless you go for a hike. You can even walk to the lake and walkway is doable but not accessible for stroller or wheelchair. Ample parking but on a busy day you may not find spots. No washroom and only one bench. This lake has potential of development I wonder why ita not done yet. Over all I am glad we stopped as views are breath taking. Wild life were very close and the mountains looked amazing. Check out my videos and images. Follow for more detailed reviews.

Very interesting unique lake. We learned about it at other stops because the information signs had melted in the 2024 fires.
Lisa L — Google review
Visited last 10/10/25, you will see remnants of the fire but it does not diminish the beauty of this place 🤍
Joreenah L — Google review
Incredible view with just a little bit of hiking. Wish we could hike more. The magic of the lake is still in evidence. Make sure you look in all directions.

Athabasca Falls

Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Athabasca Falls, located on the upper Athabasca River just west of the Icefields Parkway, is a remarkable waterfall known for its powerful force and stunning beauty. While not the tallest in the Canadian Rockies at 23 meters, it impresses with its large volume of glacial water forced through a narrow gorge. The surrounding pine forests and mountains provide an iconic Canadian backdrop that can be admired from convenient viewpoints along the trail and a footbridge across the canyon.
These falls were fantastic. The thunderous sound reminds you of the power of water and of nature. Seeing the rainbow as the water passes over the falls was an added bonus! Truly a must for anyone visiting Jasper National Park.
Onthegoboomer — Google review
This is another waterfall that you really need to stop at. Plenty of parking even for RVs. It was a short walk to the waterfall. There is a trail that you can walk around to see the waterfall. Definitely stop here when driving the Parkway.
Donna S — Google review
We visited Athabasca Falls and loved it! The waterfall is powerful and the scenery around is breathtaking, with the Rocky Mountains all around. Great place to click pictures and enjoy nature — definitely worth a stop if you’re in Jasper.
Mohit S — Google review
Very pretty fall, the best fast falling with high intensity fall, beautiful views, you can soak in the nature, breathe in and take nice pictures. The parking lot is decent, there’s washrooms and short walk so definitely must try! The whole area can be viewed on wooden planks so super easy.
Ramneek ( — Google review
Athabasca Falls is absolutely breathtaking! The waterfalls are powerful and mesmerizing, surrounded by incredible mountain scenery. Walking through the footpaths is a stunning experience — every turn offers something new to see and appreciate. Even though the area was affected by the fires, its beauty and strength still shine through. It’s a must-see stop in Jasper — peaceful, scenic, and a true reminder of nature’s resilience. 🌿💧We visited October 2025 and it’s less crowded dress accordingly. Weather conditions change drastically.

What a vibrant place. You can hear the roar touching your soul and temples your body. A majestic place to visit. One has to visit and listen to this artistic music. 🙏 Shiva

A must-visit place on the trip to Jasper. An outstanding fall with a strong flow of water. It shows how small are human. A short hiking to the top and bottom of the cliff gonna bring to you a perfect view of the Athabasca river with burned forest. They are healing but look kind of ugly now.

Must visits if you are at Jasper. Parking is plenty and pretty short walk and one can go down the canyon also a bit.

Maligne Canyon

Hiking area
Outdoor Activities
Maligne Canyon, located in Jasper National Park, is a stunning 50-meter limestone canyon known for its waterfalls and captivating scenery. Hiking along the Maligne River offers picturesque views and photo opportunities, especially starting at the 6th bridge. Despite its name meaning 'malignant' or 'wicked,' the only wicked thing about this place is the awe-inspiring beauty it offers.
If you’re in Jasper, this is stop number one. There’s a parking area where you can start exploring downstream. Along with stunning nature, you’ll find bridges over scenic canyons, beautiful nooks, and breathtaking waterfalls below. You can do a short loop and return to your car, or you can go all the way down, though it will take longer. We were even lucky enough to spot some deer greeting us right at the parking lot.
Cirrus S — Google review
The tour bus stopped at a lookout. You can see the canyon and the entire surrounding area. This was the best spot to see all of the damage caused by the wildfires. It was incredible (and a little sad) to see what has become of this area. So much of the area looked like scorched earth, yet it is still majestic and beautiful. What was very interesting is that this fire was driven by high winds (65+ mph) and many of the burnt trees feel in the same direction, almost like dominos). There were also some small patches that were left unscathed, and how does that even happen?! Such beautiful country. Worth the trip!
Scott W — Google review
Maligne Canyon is one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. Carved over thousands of years by the Maligne River, this stunning limestone gorge plunges to depths of over 50 meters (160 feet), making it the deepest canyon in the park. Visitors can explore the canyon via a well-maintained trail system that crosses six bridges, each offering unique viewpoints of roaring waterfalls, swirling whirlpools, and steep canyon walls. The first and second bridges provide the most dramatic views, where the narrow canyon walls close in around the rushing water below. In summer, the area is vibrant with lush greenery and wildflowers, while in winter, Maligne Canyon transforms into a magical world of frozen waterfalls and icy caverns, perfect for guided ice walks. The canyon’s geology and hydrology are fascinating too—some of the river’s water mysteriously disappears underground and resurfaces miles away at Medicine Lake. Whether you're a casual walker or an avid adventurer, Maligne Canyon is a must-visit destination that showcases the raw beauty and power of nature in the Canadian Rockies.
Afaq J — Google review
What a great way to fill your eyes with beauty after a long day 🥰 Way more worth than the touristy Jonhston Canyon. Accesible for families, I did that short walk after a long hike. Would recommend!
Lena G — Google review
Before heading to Maligne Lake, a visit to the canyon is generally organized. It's good that you can visit it pretty much anytime, even with a cloudy weather and it doesn't degrade the experience. Walking around is easy.
Stanislas T — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking place. I loved every moment at the canyon, nature is truly amazing. Hiking from bridge 1 to 5 is a steep downhill, you have to climb up to get back to where you started. Wear shoes with good grip and treat yourself at the tea house by the parking lot.
Zsuzsanna S — Google review
I hiked the trail at Maligne Canyon in Jasper, and I couldn’t help but drop my jaw at the sheer beauty of it. Gorgeous, stunning, and downright marvellous! The canyon felt like nature's masterpiece, revealing a cross-section of Earth's ecological evolution in the most dramatic way. Every twist and turn of the trail seemed to unveil something new and breathtaking. It’s not just a sight to see—it’s an experience, one that immerses you in the power and history of nature. Maligne Canyon is a must-visit, a place that leaves you both humbled and awestruck by the forces that have shaped our planet over millions of years.
Peter S — Google review
Spectacular trail that follows a canyon in Jasper National Park. Waterfalls all along and bridges that cross and allow amazing views of the water below. The rock erosion creates patterns and tones that pictures don't quite convey An absolute must for waterfall fans such as us!

Lake Annette Beach is a charming spot located near Jasper townsite, easily accessible by vehicle or bicycle. The lake offers cold and clear water suitable for swimming in the summer. It features a paved loop trail that is wheelchair accessible, offering scenic views all around. Despite being popular during hot summer days, it remains less crowded compared to other larger lakes in the area, providing ample free parking and clean facilities including a kids' playground and picnic tables.
In May, parking is convenient for RVs, the water is shallow, and there are picnic tables and chairs by the lake, making it perfect for a picnic.
潘先生(帥潘) — Google review
Lake Annette is gorgeous and relatively untraveled. There were only a few day-trip hikers we ran across in the 3 hours we spent here. The lake is likely wonderful in the summer when you can swim in it's crystal blue waters without fear of frostbite. It also is an early season attraction given it is one of the few lakes that is melted by early May. A must see!
Karol G — Google review
One of the best picnic spots in Jasper, featuring a clean beach and crystal-clear water—though the water can be a bit chilly.

Sameer B — Google review
A nice lake with a sandy beach. There's a paved trail around the lake.
Seun ( — Google review
Lake Annett is a hidden gem in Jasper—peaceful, scenic, and not too crowded. The calm waters reflect the surrounding mountains beautifully, making it perfect for photos, a quiet walk, or just relaxing. A great spot to unwind and enjoy nature away from the busy tourist areas.
Joel S — Google review
Lake Annette Beach was breathe taking! With its clear water and plenty of space to sit. While we walked around we noticed a grounds keeper cleaning the area. The picnic areas was clean and very well maintained. It was unfortunate that the day we went was chilly and rainy. This is a must to come back too.

The Jasper Planetarium & dark sky telescope tours offer an unforgettable experience for stargazers. The Dark Sky Festival celebrates Jasper's Dark Sky Preserve designation with two weeks of programs, featuring talks by notable figures like Bill Nye and George Takei, as well as musical performances under the stars. Visitors can enjoy stargazing at Lake Annette and attend workshops on night sky photography.
The planetarium tour was fantastic. The presentation had great information and the visuals were nice. Would love to go back and do the telescope experience if we had time. The drive up was beautiful and the lodge is lovely.
Cassandra P — Google review
We were genuinely lucky as we had clear skies and about 2 hours of Northern Lights on show, so overall an incredible night. We paid for the extra package which included a walk into a darker area to be privately talked through what we could see. The giant scientific grade telescopes and the talks by the staff we so interesting and you could really feel the passion of the staff who were able to answer every question we had. However, I can appreciate if you only purchase the basic package of just the dome show, this would be disappointing as it's just a projector inside a tent, in a hotel car park, but the full package is well worth the money. There is a rainy day guarantee which is good, if you don't see stars, you have 2 years to return to try again, which is good even if you're a tourist on holiday.
Rebecca D — Google review
This is a temporary built setup with a very very small dome and folding chairs and recliners inside. It’s on a parking lot of the Fairmont hotel. The hotel itself has a great view and walking area, that we enjoyed more than the show itself. The projection is blurry and the whole story is not well thought. It keeps jumping from one point to another without a logical sequence. Skippable.
N N — Google review
The highlight of my summer so far! The tour is fantastic and the staff have so much knowledge it blew my mind. We arrived on a cloudy night but still learned and saw so much in the displays and talks, they have a nice cosy set up with a fire, too! We managed to go back the following evening for a complimentary look through the telescopes on a clearer night which was a brucey bonus. Kudos to everyone at the planetarium for putting on such a wonderful show, especially Gerran! And Beth was great with all the organizing!! I am recommending to everyone who visits Jasper, come clear or cloudy skies!
Rachel K — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at Jasper Planetarium! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the sky show was truly amazing. Seeing the stars through the big telescopes was unforgettable. Highly recommended for visitors to Jasper! — MM Taxi Jasper 🚖✨
MM T — Google review
My partner and I went to the Jasper planetarium and did the dark sky package tour on July 27th! INCREDIBLE RAINY DAY POLICY! We were originally booked for July 26th but the weather was gray, muggy, and cloudy. One simple phone call and the Planetarium had no issue rescheduling us for any day of our choosing. They even let us think about it for a day to see how the weather would be before picking a new tour date. Absolutely beautiful clear night amidst a week of clouds and rain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING FOR THE DARK SKY PACKAGE, we got to walk privately with a small group around Lake Beauvart and see constellations, satellites, and even a glimpse of Saturn (looks like a big star, you can't see the rings through the binoculars on this particular day) through the crystal clear binoculars they provide. Super nice lodge and surrounding area, very fancy. Everything was ran well and smooth. You can tell the people working here love what they do and love teaching/showing others the night sky. Shoutout to Lyn our tour guide.
Erika L — Google review
I went to Jasper with some friends and the Planetarium was definitely one of the highlights! It was a rainy day but they still made sure we had a fun experience and told us so many cool facts about space! Caitlin did our dome presentation and she did an absolutely phenomenal job. She was so enthusiastic and knew so many awesome things that were super fun to learn about! We were handed off to Gerran afterward where we went to learn some other really cool thing! He was also so wonderful and did an amazing job making everyone feel welcomed and entertained by making pieces of the presentation interactive which was super cool! I would absolutely recommend the planetarium to anyone heading over to Jasper, especially if you have an interest in space and the universe. Thank you to everyone at the Planetarium for such a wonderful experience!
Chris K — Google review
Very impressed with the overall experience. The staff were knowledgeable and professional, and you could tell their enthusiasm of all things space related. Our family enjoyed the dark sky package and learned a few interesting points. Book in advance and make sure to dress warm.

Such a beautiful, special space and place - It only took me 12 years to get there - I can’t wait to come back again soon

A lovely little gallery tucked in the Fairmont hotel, but available to the public. Many paintings and sculptures were on display, including works related to the area such as those of local mountains. A quick walk through, but worth the stop.

Admittedly, I am not an art expert by any stretch of the imagination but....I spent an hour admiring several pieces and paintings all by Canadian artists. This gallery is located in the Fairmont Lodge in Jasper National Park. Come for lunch, take a walk around the lake and enjoy the Gallery.

Mount Edith Cavell, located in Jasper National Park, is a picturesque mountain offering various hiking and climbing trails with stunning views of the distinctive glacier. The 8.4 km Mount Edith Cavell Meadows Trail is a must-see, leading to three incredible viewpoints showcasing the Cavell Pond, Angel Glacier, and Sorrow Peak.
It’s one of the hidden gems in Jasper. The view is breathtaking and celestial. The roads are damaged due to the catastrophic Jasper fire of 2024. I am unsure when they will be reopened.
Tabassum H — Google review
This mountain and lakes should definitely be on the list of visitors! Take comfortable shoes as the path will not be very winding and in stones. The glacier hanging over the lake and pieces of ice in the water is fascinating!
Ольга Д — Google review
This is a medium level hike. Some areas are steep, slippery and be cautious. This is my favorite place in Jasper. Stunning and panoramic view. Couldn’t go until end of the trail due to time limitation but definitely come back. Parking is very tight. You have to come early morning. Winding roads.
Sepali S — Google review
One of the most beautiful mountains and hikes in the world. The drive to the top where the parking area is amazing. This place is a must visit while in Jasper. The parking lot gets full though and it can be hard to find parking so come very early or very late.
Punit J — Google review
My favourite place, the most beautiful mountain view with glacier falls and lake in the middle. Good for everyone easy to hike. Make sure to arrive early for the parking lot.
Jecil — Google review
One of the most beautiful places we have visited. A road of about a kilometer and a half leads to a beautiful blue lake where ice floats. The leading road is full of many beautiful stones and the lake is bordered by a huge glacier. The height of the mountain is 3,633 meters above sea level and the Angel Glacier is a glacier that flows down the northern slope of Mount Edith Cowell. The mountain is named after the British nurse Edith Cowell who was executed by the Germans in the First World War. To get to Mount Edith Cavell's parking lot, drive from Jasper on Highway 93 (Glacier Highway) and shortly after passing the entrance to the park, turn right onto Highway 93A.
Yossi G — Google review
So cool. One of the best hikes I have done in Alberta! Saw a piece of glacier fall off yesterday which was so cool and a little sad. Trail gets hard near the top of mountain, but good for the heart 🫀. Well kept trail and the end is above the tree line which is interesting . The plants were cool.
Noa S — Google review
Parking lot is really small, I had to wait for about 20 minutes to park. Trail distance is very friendly, only 700m from parking lot to the small pond at the foot of the glacier. It is shrinking, it will disappear some day. The water in the pond is really cold, some small icebergs are floating in the pond. A nice, small place to observe and feel glacier.

Nestled in a narrow valley near Mount Edith Cavell, HI Mount Edith Cavell Wilderness Hostel offers a rustic and secluded retreat for nature enthusiasts. The hostel provides basic shelter in cabins without electricity or running water, but purified water is available for cooking and there's a refrigerator on site. Guests can enjoy stunning mountain views and access to nearby hiking trails such as Cavell Meadows and Tonquin Valley.
This was a nice little hostel. We actually ended up having a whole room to ourselves. Keep on mind there isn't running water or anything like that. It has a nice main cabin with games and things like that. The manager, Scott actually was able to give us a ride to the lower parking lot so that we could get picked up by someone else for our Tonquin Valley loop hike. That was really appreciated!

Wonderful experience up here, I rode my bike up and felt welcome from the second I walked in and was greeted with a cup of tea. They do have wifi but I wasn't really there for that I was there to be outside. Friendly, personable staff, would definitely recommend for anybody looking to be in the middle of the wilderness and be away from the city or town. I left my hat there and the amazing staff made sure I got it back, thanks to them for that.

Excellent excellent. Excellent what more can be said definitely do not go here It has much WiFi Stay away, keep this place a secret. The stuff is amazing. The location is wonderful. The dorm rooms are exquisitely rustic with wood-burning, stoves, and nice firm mattresses. The linen is all clean and soft. . The floors are clean. Fresh clean, drinking water delightful cooking facilities with attached common area. Plenty of games and books with Maps for travel planning. Knowledgable staff with helpful tips and advice. Parking is available for guests only as well as brand new sunlight toilet facility.

Great for a stop over. The rooms were clean and provided duvets and extra blankets! The kitchen had everything you would need and it was a lovely communal area. Sadly no washrooms just a toilet. Very pleasant place with a bonfire lit in the evenings. Friendly staff too.
Charlotte W — Google review
Ernie was a great hostel manager and the hostel was very well equipped. Water is available and there is even a gas powered refrigerator for food storage. There are a few good trails to hike straight from the hostel. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Jasper.
Chris M — Google review
Really lovely hostel. Basic but very welcoming. Only issue was that the lights didn’t work very well in the kitchen, so when making breakfast very early in the morning we had to use a torch! The beds were very comfy and the dorms big & spacious!
Emily W — Google review
Great place to stay! Takes about 30 minutes to get there from town but you’re up in the mountains in a cozy wilderness lodge. Ernie takes great care of the place, and it has enough “luxuries” for a comfortable stay: solar powered lights, drinking/cooking water, even a gas powered refrigerator. I’d stay there again for sure.
Julia W — Google review
Very secluded, very cool tho. Everything about it is removed from society which we loved. No cell service, no wifi, no running water, solar powered lights, incredible views. Wood stove heated cabins. They wash the sheets but don't wash the blankets which was questionable to us. There were maybe a dozen people on the whole mountain which is pretty cool.

Angel Glacier, located in Jasper National Park, is a stunning natural wonder that resembles an angel with outstretched wings. The Path of The Angel Glacier offers a family-friendly hike with well-maintained paths leading to a dramatic viewpoint near the glacier. Accessible by driving along a thrilling 14 km narrow mountain road with switchbacks, the journey itself adds to the adventure. The short but mostly uphill hike leads to the glacier and continues on to meadows adorned with beautiful wildflowers.
The most spectacular glacier in Jasper…do not miss it! It’s a short uphill hike to the point where you have a better view of the glacier. If you’re able to find a quiet spot, you will hear the thunderous roar of ice breaking away from the glacier and falling into the frozen lake below. There are wildflowers along the trail in the summer…simply serene and so beautiful!!

Among the most spectacular gems of nature, and it is very accessible to all. Get out there, go for a walk, save hundreds by not doing the Maligne Lake cruise. Seriously - you won't be disappointed!

P N — Google review
Definitely recommend coming here! The drive in itself is exciting as you climb up the mountain you get beautiful views of the surroundings! The hike to see the glacier is relatively short, maybe a mile! Bring umbrella or rain jacket as the weather here can change VERY QUICK!

Angel Glacier is a short drive from Jasper on Mount Edith Cavell. The hike is short but is mostly uphill to the glacier itself. You can stop there or continue on to the meadows which has beautiful wild flowers. The view on this hike is spectacular and what even made it more memorable was that there were numerous mini avalanches that came crashing down on the water below which was pretty exciting to see. It's a must see if you're in the Jasper area that's for sure!
R F — Google review
Short hike that gives you nice views of the hanging glacier. Longer hike option (around 6km) going into the woods.

stunning! short and easy hike with great reward!

very worth to visit. the time we visited is the the end of Jun. However, there's a heavy rain in Jasper park, so we change the plan and decide to visit Angel Glacier first. The rain turns into snow on the road heading to Angel Glacier(about one hour drive). we are in the snow-white world when arrived. it's a very special experience although the glacier has been covered by snow and dirt.

Jasper Park Information Centre

Association / Organization
Jasper Park Information Centre is a historic cobblestone-and-timber building that serves as the visitor center for Jasper National Park. Originally built in 1914 as the park administration building, it now offers maps, travel tips, and information on trails, backcountry hiking, wildlife viewing, and interpretive programs. Designed by architect A.M. Calderon, this National Historic Site is a prime example of rustic Canadian architecture. Visitors can also explore the gift shop for souvenirs.
The Jasper Information Centre is an absolute treasure and the perfect starting point for any adventure in Jasper National Park. Housed in a beautifully preserved heritage building right in the heart of town, the centre offers not only practical information but a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel connected to the spirit of the Rockies. The staff here are phenomenal—knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the area. Whether you’re planning a multi-day hike, looking for hidden gem viewpoints, or just trying to figure out where to spot wildlife, they go above and beyond to help you tailor your visit. Their insider tips made our trip unforgettable. Beyond the helpful advice, the building itself is worth a visit. The rustic stone-and-log architecture is iconic, and there's a real sense of history in its walls. There are informative displays about the park’s geology, wildlife, and history, which make it a great little stop even on a rainy day. We left with detailed maps, new hiking ideas, and a deeper appreciation for Jasper. This place sets the tone for everything that makes the park so special—nature, heritage, and warm Canadian hospitality. Don’t miss it—your Jasper experience will be so much better if you start here.

Small visitor center in the middle of town in a lovely historic building. I wish there was more to it, especially considering the significance of the park, but the town is small. There aren't any displays or information to speak of, but the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Also, come back at night and there are some neat illuminated sections. Jasper the bear is right around the corner. Too bad the gift shop was not open when we went, since it looked interesting and better to support Parks Canada. No free parking.

As a local taxi service provider in Jasper, I’ve had the pleasure of regularly picking up and dropping off guests at Forest Park Hotel. From what I’ve seen, the hotel maintains a high standard of hospitality and cleanliness. The staff are always courteous, organized, and professional, which makes our job easier and creates a smooth experience for visitors. Guests often share positive feedback with us about their stay—mentioning the comfort of the rooms, the helpful service, and the beautiful surroundings. The location is also convenient for transportation, with easy access and a well-managed front entrance. Forest Park Hotel is clearly committed to guest satisfaction, and it shows. We’re proud to serve their guests and look forward to continuing our partnership!

Compared to Banff town, this place feels much quieter. There are fewer busy shopping streets and more residential areas surrounded by mountains, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurants are a bit pricey, but the environment is very pleasant and a good place to enjoy dinner after coming down from the mountains. Just keep in mind that most shops close around 9pm

I love HWY93, we start from Bang but next winter we will go from Jasper, I really think this is one of the most magnificent drive in NA, Jasper Park also has quite a lot to offer, from fine dining tp casual cafes, lots and lots of trails to bike, hike, walk, amazing lakes, even if you are at! 5% to go there, trust you will not regret it.

Our Native Land is a unique store in Jasper National Park that offers a wide selection of arts and crafts, making it a great place to find one-of-a-kind souvenirs. Visitors can explore real Canadian culture through indigenous carvings and products made from authentic animal fur. The store also features First Nations art and quill art, providing an opportunity to take home something truly special. While some visitors have had mixed experiences with the staff, many appreciate the fantastic service and friendly interactions.
Great shop to explore real canadian culture, arts and craft. They have an amazing indigenous carving section and products made from real animal fur. The lady at that counter is super friendly and shared amazing information regarding the art pieces. Must check it out when visiting jasper!

Two months ago, we purchased an arrow with the delivery option, and we were assured by the vendor that it would arrive within a week or less. However, despite making six phone calls and sending emails over the past two months, our product was never sent. This has been particularly disappointing as it was intended as a gift. We are only leaving this review to bring attention to this issue as they are not responding to our calls/emails. Please contact us and fulfill our order promptly.
Marlène K — Google review
There are some talented artists represented in the inventory. Go when it's busy to avoid being hounded and don't commit to buying anything on your first visit. If you don't care for answering personal questions about where you're from etc. ask your own about the store and where it's owners came from instead.
Tatty T — Google review
Beautiful store and inventory. The young woman who was the sales associate was VERY diligent in accompanying us through the entire store (we were there for at least 20 minutes). Initially, we thought this was so that she could share information on the items we were looking at but when others came in to the store, she still focused on us. After awhile, it felt very uncomfortable and we left. We drove all the way to Jasper to see the store (and mountains) but ended up leaving the store so that the other customers could benefit from her full attention. Some beautiful pieces involve the ammolite and a burled wood piece as well as most of the hand crafted items.
Selena R — Google review
I absolutely love their products! I visit this store everytime I am in town ❤️ they have a great variety of items in every price range. The artwork is incredible!
Tori S — Google review
One of the more unique stores in Jasper, we went in here because my wife was curious about the quill art. It was fairly busy but our experience with staff was fantastic and there were a lot of unique and interesting souvenirs in the store. If you are tired of all the repetitive souvenir shops along the main drag, come here!
Vulpine M — Google review
Unprofessionally my post was deleted and not shared by this racist business. My mother and I were shopping for turquoise rings. The young woman who was helping us suddenly gasped and startled us. When we asked what happened she said oh I lost track of what you were touching, Hahhaha I m paying attention now. My mother and I both looked at each other, surprised by her boldness my mother showed both her hands and said these are all mine! The lady just laughed and said oh it’s ok I’m watching now. We had already overlooked her in sensitive comments about how we could make our own beaded earrings so the ones on display weren’t good enough for us? Sadly, I cannot bead so the assumption was silly to me and I laughed. Oh did I mention we are indigenous? I’m not easily offended but this was too much! For a store called “Our Native Land” it is not for us. So beware of insensitive remarks if you are also from OUR NATIVE LAND!
Brenna H — Google review
Soon as I walked into this place I was greeted with friendly and educational titbits on the art within the store. I ended up purchasing this piece in the photo. Absolutely love it. And throughout the town you’ll find a lot of aboriginal art that seems to be very high price. Where this was fairly priced.

The Jasper-Yellowhead Museum & Archives is a charming local museum that offers a glimpse into the rich history of Jasper National Park and the Yellowhead Corridor. Through its extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and displays, the museum preserves and shares the area's Indigenous heritage, fur trade legacy, and pioneer developments. With three distinct galleries showcasing historical exhibits and a showcase gallery featuring local art, visitors can immerse themselves in Jasper's early days and gain a deeper understanding of the community's origins.
I absolutely loved this! Harkened back to days of old with the train museum. Entry is by donation and although, there was much to see inside, I found the outside to be simply incredible as evidenced by the pictures. As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience. Here is no exception as the staff were fantastic! Helpful, very friendly and equally informative. They give recommendations on some great food choices. Highly recommend multiple visits if you ever find yourself in Jasper. It's a very family friendly venue. LOVED IT!

The YellowHead Museum and Archives in Jasper, Alberta, is a true gem! I was captivated by the unique exhibits showcasing the rich history and vibrant culture of the Canadian Rockies. From the compelling stories of early pioneers and Indigenous communities to the fascinating displays of local wildlife and geology, there's something to pique everyone's interest. The museum's passionate staff and volunteers clearly love what they do, and their enthusiasm is contagious. Don't miss the chance to explore this wonderful institution – it's an enriching and memorable experience for all ages!

I discovered the Jasper Museum through Instagram and decided to check it out and I’m so glad I did! It’s a perfect 1–2 hour stop, whether you’re a history buff or visiting with kids. The museum is filled with fascinating displays, historical artifacts, and even taxidermy animals that give you a deeper appreciation of how Jasper National Park came to be. Everything is well organized, informative, and engaging a great way to learn about the local history, early settlers, and the railway’s role in the area’s development. There’s also a lovely little gift shop with unique items, local art, books, and thoughtful souvenirs. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Jasper and looking for something meaningful, educational, and family-friendly.

This is a lovely small but very informative museum. If you are interested in how the area developed and how the railroad unified Canada, there is a wealth of information here. There is also a very interesting section on how the area was surveyed and mapped out. Well worth a visit.

I recently visited the Jasper Yellowhead Museum, and it was a truly lovely experience. The museum is clean, cozy, and full of local history that’s both engaging and easy to explore. One of the highlights was the interactive golf corner for kids — such a creative and fun addition! It kept the little ones entertained while also teaching them a bit about the sport. The space feels very family-friendly, and the staff were warm and welcoming. A great place to visit if you're in Jasper, especially with children!

Great museum, well worth visit to see how life developed in and around Jasper. Nature, mountaineering, commerce, local cultures lots for everyone. We were asked for a donation as a ticket entry which we were very happy to give.

We first stumbled upon Jasper Park Collieries’ Pocahontas Mine last year, and returned this week determined to learn more. Stopping at the museum was the best decision. Karen, the archivist, shared a trove of maps, photos, and stories that brought the site—and the community that built it—to life. Her guidance sent us in the right direction to find pieces of history that are quietly fading from view. This experience reminded us how vital preservation is. The remaining foundations and artifacts deserve care from a restoration society or government partner before they’re lost to time. Thank you, Karen—you are truly a keeper of knowledge. This museum safeguards a past the region can’t afford to lose, and it’s absolutely worth a visit.

Marmot Basin is a charming ski resort nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains within Jasper National Park. With a history dating back almost 100 years, this destination offers diverse terrain for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. The resort features 91 runs serviced by seven lifts, including high-speed quads, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all visitors. Marmot Basin's season typically runs from early November to early May, providing ample time to enjoy its stunning views and snow-covered slopes.
Don't be fooled by the fire devastated forest on the way to resort. The resort withstand! It's beautiful! A variety of runs and the quality of terrain made me speechless. I was making runs after runs after runs without crazy lines on lifts. Mind you, there were dozens of ski schools that day from all over the world. The price of the lift tickets is more than reasonable. Plenty of fresh powder in April; where else can you find it?! I liked the way they arranged the parking lots. Doesn't matter which lot you take, you get direct access to a run that leads you to the resort. No shuttles, no walking with the gear! 👍
Arkady G — Google review
Marmot Basin is one of the best ski resorts in Alberta. The runs are well-groomed, varied, and perfect for all levels, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. The lift system is efficient, and I rarely find myself waiting long to get back up the mountain. The scenery is breathtaking, with mountain views that are worth the trip alone. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the vibe is welcoming without feeling overcrowded. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in Jasper, and hands down one of my favorite places to ski.

This is a great hill with solid parking set up. Seems to be never over crowded. Easy in and out for drinks or food. Lots of great terrain. Worth a little hike here and there for sure
Darryl C — Google review
What an amazing ski resort! Great lifts, lots of run varieties, lots of open space, not crowded, and easy parking. Amazing for beginner/intermediate skiiers because you can even get down from the highest lift points using blue or green runs!
Cory S — Google review
Such an awesome place for beginners to even professionals! Close to where i live (still a few hours away but its one of the closest best ski resorts) and close to jasper as well. Snow is always good and double black diamonds are super fun as well. Highly recommend for all as well as the Park Junkies! Would add more photos of my action but cant find them
John W — Google review
Fun mountain, wasn't a lot of snow yet this year, but still plenty to ride. More of a blue square to black diamond difficulty, there are harder runs, just waiting on snow. Would definitely go back when there is a thicker base and whole mountain availability. No lines when I went on christmas wknd. I think I had to wait behind 1 set of people once, in the 2 days I was there, other than that, straight to lift and up. How the sun goes, they'll be alot more light in late January and February; starts setting on slopes around 2 pm over Christmas time.
E — Google review
I personally LOVE Marmot. The people are so amazing, the mountain is great and both challenging and relaxing depending on the run you choose. I will say the drop off on the Knob Chair is dangerous and has to be built up, I bailed as it's a rapid drop from the chair and I watched the next 6 groups getting off the lift bail as well... But otherwise, Marmot is one of the best in Alberta in my opinion. I am definitely going back.

Incredible ski resort, but my God is the chalet expensive. Evreything else about it is Incredible, there's also a lot of paths through the trees that were fun. And the ski school instructor (we were forced beacause it was a school trip) she was incredibly nice.

Nestled in Jasper National Park, Patricia Lake is a serene and picturesque destination offering a range of activities for nature enthusiasts. The 5km loop around the lake provides stunning views of meadows, valleys, and possibly wildlife sightings such as elk and moose. For more adventurous hikers, the trail to Geraldine Lakes offers options for both easy and challenging treks. Visitors can also enjoy stand-up paddleboarding on the tranquil waters or try yoga on a paddleboard for a unique experience.
We were staying at the Patricia lake bungalows and the bungalows is right facing the lakes. The water is quite clear and there is a dock where you may explore the beauty by boats. Come in the autumn and it is worth visiting for several times.

A really beautiful Lake about a 45 minute walk from Jasper, with its clear water and stunning surroundings, it is easy to see why it is a very popular Lake to visit for tourists on the way to pyramid Lake, mainly due to the easy access by car. If you walk here, bring bear spray. Lake freezes Iver in the winter.

Stunning location. One of the most beautiful spots in Jasper National Park. It’s amazing how peaceful this place is. You really get impressed by the nature. Definitely is a must seen location!

A very nice lake to take a canoe on and paddle around. Parking unfortunately is rather sparse and it can get quite busy. They have different types of watercraft and the only motorized is an electric boat which is nice for keeping it peaceful. We took a canoe out for an hour and that was plenty. They also have kayaks, paddle boats, row boats and a motorized family carrier.

Ascend to the top of Whistlers Mountain on the Jasper SkyTram, the highest and longest aerial tramway in the Canadian Rockies. As you soar to an elevation of 2,263 meters (7,425 feet), breathtaking panoramas unfold before you. From craggy snow-capped peaks to pristine lakes like Pyramid and Patricia, the views are simply awe-inspiring.
We had this on our list when we got to Jasper. It was worth the cost. The views are amazing up there. You can also see the devastation from last year's fire. We opted to hike to the summit. My husband, who is 79, stopped not far from where we started but told me to go on since I was in better shape. I was past the false summit when I just decided to turn around. It was worth it to climb if you can do it but don't go past your limits if you are older. If I was younger, I would've pushed on through since I was so close but I had more hiking to do that day so that was enough for me. We ate in the Summit Cafe and shared the brisket sandwich. It was delicious!! The views from the café are spectacular.

An excellent day out and on a good weather day well worth the effort. The scenery was stunning. The staff ( Max & Cally ) were knowledgeable and will answer questions on your journey. The tram cost about $80 each . Very safety conscious lots of information. The shop and restaurant well worth a visit to sok up the scenery and get a souvenir.

Absolutely worth the money. It stops operating around 2nd November 2025 and back again in March. Beautiful views from the top. We were there late October so the snow made it more difficult to hike to the summit but views below submit great as well. We had a bite to eat at the restaurant.

The Whistler Mountain Tram was a highlight of my trip to Jasper. Spectacular views of the entire region including the surrounding mountains, rivers, lakes and the town of Jasper. The tram ride is smooth and at a good pace - not too fast but not poking along either. Staff are knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the upper level is superb. Great food with impressive views. Don't miss it. The dirt hiking trail to the top is not difficult for those in good health and physical shape. But seniors and those with limitations should stick to the decks and platform areas. Bring warm clothing for the mornings and evenings but late mornings through the afternoon can be warm.

The tram “drivers” were friendly and informative. It had recently snowed and was very windy at the top. We didn’t hike to the peak as we were not appropriately dressed for the winter-like weather. Amazing views and the food at the top was phenomenal

An essential part of the Jasper Experience!. What a rush from starting slow out of the station to picking up some speed on the line and ascending that mountain in no time - and it's steep. The little boardwalk at the top is perfect for just relaxing but there are also many trails to explore and how easy after being plopped right onto the peak of Whistlers Mountain. LOVE THIS! Moose Lake is a serene and easily accessible destination, offering a peaceful hike along the shores of Maligne Lake. The trail leads through an ancient debris pile from a landslide, showcasing lichen-covered boulders and mossy trees. Visitors can explore the Moose Lake Loop or take the longer Bald Hills Hike for stunning forest views. Situated in British Columbia, it provides scenic views from VIA Rail's route and Yellowhead Highway.
A gorgeous, pristine lake in Mount Robson Provincial Park. There is only one small pullout along the lake with a boat launch. If you get the chance, get out on the lake in a boat or kayak. Venture to the other side and discover the creeks that run into the lake, the sandy beaches or an American Pika living in the rocks.

Wonderful Lake. Brings memories of my Grandfather. He had a store and post office at the west end of the lake on the rail line at Red Pass.
Bill L — Google review
Moose Lake is a breathtaking stop along the Yellowhead Highway that feels like stepping into a postcard. Surrounded by rugged mountains and framed by the towering peaks of the Rockies, the lake stretches out in a long, peaceful ribbon of deep blue-green water. On a calm day, the reflections of the mountains and clouds are so vivid they look almost painted. This is a place where you can truly slow down and soak in nature. It’s perfect for pulling over during a road trip, stretching your legs, and taking in the scenery. The shoreline is easily accessible in spots, making it a great place for photos, a picnic, or just sitting quietly to listen to the gentle lap of the water. If you’re lucky, you might spot wildlife in the area — moose sightings do happen, and you’ll often see birds skimming the surface. There are no big crowds or noisy facilities here, which adds to the serenity. Facilities are minimal, so it’s best to bring your own snacks, water, and anything you need. The beauty of Moose Lake is its simplicity — untouched, peaceful, and a reminder of how incredible British Columbia’s landscapes are. If you’re driving through Mount Robson Provincial Park, this is a must-see stop. Whether you stay for 10 minutes or an hour, it’s the kind of view that stays with you long after you’ve left.

The Mount Robson Visitor Centre is a must-visit spot on your Vancouver to Jasper journey, located just a short drive from Rearguard Falls. As the tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, it offers breathtaking views and an opportunity to learn about Mount Robson Provincial Park. The center provides amenities such as a cafe with stunning views, free WiFi, and helpful staff. Visitors can also enjoy a spacious deck facing Mount Robson and access to water fountains for reducing plastic waste.
The Mount Robson Visitor Centre is much more than just a quick stop – it's an experience in itself and a definite must-visit if you're in the area. We were truly impressed with everything it had to offer! Downstairs, they have a really nice exhibit that provides fascinating insights into the park and its natural history. It's well-designed and engaging. On the upper level, you'll find a lovely gift shop stocked with a great selection of souvenirs, but the real showstopper up here is the gorgeous view you get right from inside! Just next door, there's another building where you can grab even more gifts or some food if you're feeling hungry, which is super convenient. The people working at the centre seemed genuinely nice and helpful too, adding to the positive atmosphere. But for us, the absolute highlight was the very nice outdoor deck on the back of the building. This is the spot for some extra special pictures of Mount Robson – the views are absolutely unparalleled from there. 100% worth a visit and certainly is one of the highlights of my trip around the Canadian Rockies. Kinney Lake is a must see and is well worth the 1-1.5hr hike. Standing at 3,954 meters (12,972 feet), Mount Robson is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, its snow-capped summit attracting climbers year-round. With scenic lakes, abundant wildlife, hiking trails, and rich flora, it’s a must-see for anyone who loves nature. Welcome Centre, a first stop for most visitors, where souvenirs line the shelves and rangers share tips about the park, the mountain, and its many trails. Its porch is the best vantage point for the clearest, most majestic view of the Mount Robson. The Centre has a museum which contains many interesting facts about the state park’s history, mountain climbing attempts, and the surrounding wildlife.

We visited Mt. Robson on our drive from Clearwater to Jasper. It's the highest mountain in the Rockies. The Welcome centre tells a bit about the history of the first voyage of discovery, as well as the geology. There's a store and some toilets inside as well. Also: WiFi! From the deck at the back there's a great view of the mountain itself. But for the best pictures of yourself and the mountain (as I'm not a big fan of fences in picture), I would move to the spacious lush green field behind the centre.

Mount Robson Park is a breathtaking expanse of protected wilderness that beckons outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Nestled in British Columbia, this park is not only the second-oldest provincial park in the region but also home to Mount Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies at an impressive 3,953 meters (12,969 ft).
Mount Robson Provincial Park is indeed a stunning destination, especially on a road trip between Jasper and British Columbia. The towering peaks, serene lakes, and breathtaking views make it unforgettable. However, your experience highlights an important consideration: winter travel can be challenging due to icy roads, slippery conditions, and unpredictable weather. The lack of gas stations within 100 km and the closure of many hiking trails and waterfalls during winter further add to the difficulty. For those planning a trip, visiting in the summer is definitely advisable. The warmer weather ensures safer roads, open trails, and a more enjoyable experience exploring the park’s natural beauty.

This was by far one of my favorite hikes of the trip. We only made it to the lake but even that was worth it. Highly recommend a visit.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I've ever visited. The views here are unparalleled, and there's tons of wildlife.

I come here every summer when I can. One of the most amazing trails on Earth. If you only have a couple of hours, a trip to Kinney Lake is well worth it. If you have a couple of days, the trip to Berg Lake (and Snowbird Pass) are breathtaking. Must book a loooooooooooong time in advance.
Adam J — Google review
Honestly the berg lake trail is one of the nicest hikes I've done. We went up to emperor falls and back (32km+) in one day, and although it was totally worth it it was quite heave on the knees. I recommend everyone to do the hike, as I can only imagine what Berg lake itself will look like, but make sure you got a few days time so you can appreciate it in all it's glory without having to walk around with a knee brace for a week after 😉

Beautiful Jaw dropping mountains and breathtaking views. It's one of the most beautiful part of the yellow head highway drive towards BC. There are a few shops for travellers and tourist to patronize. Also several areas for photo lovers. Ensure your vehicle is in good shape as help may not come as quickly as you desire if needed. Cellular network signals are very poor around these area due to the mountains. Ensure your vehicle has enough gas to avoid disappointment. Not many gas stations are available around the mountain.

Such a beautiful place! Here you get to see snowy and really tall mountains! And because the Mount Robson Provincial Park is near BC and Alberta, you could play around and you jump from province to province, that sounds cool to me!

Cranberry Marsh/Starratt Wildlife Management Area

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Cranberry Marsh, also known as Starratt Wildlife Management Area, provides visitors with the opportunity to observe wildlife through two observation towers. The marshlands are home to muskrats, which have adapted well to this environment and can be spotted near the marsh edges where they feed on water plants. Beavers also inhabit the area and their lodges and dams can be seen. For those seeking more outdoor experiences, Larry Hall Trail is located nearby.
It's good for a little walk. If you go in the evening, I recommend bringing bug spray.

Great nature trail loop, especially if you are a bird nerd. Mosquitos were a challenge in the forested portions though so stopping to check out a bird was a pain penalty. Bring big spray and dress in pants and sleeves if you plan to take your time.

The Valemount & Area Museum, housed in the historic Valemount Railway Station, offers a fascinating journey through the region's history. Visitors can explore three levels of colorful displays and artifacts, including a restored CN caboose. The museum covers diverse topics such as local pioneers, railroad towns, Japanese internment camps during WWII, and the contributions of minorities and women to the area's heritage. Additionally, it hosts community events and summer festivals like Valemountain Days and Bike Fest.
Staff were very friendly. For a small town the exhibitions were cool! The kids loved the model railway. Definitely worth not passing by on the highway.

Really fascinating things to explore in the museum. Alot of info on how the railway changed and helped in the towns development. Must see. Donation based entry.

Wonderful museum telling the stories of people who built the rail and road infrastructure that opened up the area for settlement by incomers. Well curated, engaging and balanced. Popped in for a short visit and stayed for over an hour. Well worth stopping by.

Three Ranges Brewing Company is a craft brewery that prides itself on using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients to create beers with bold flavors. Their diverse selection caters to every taste preference, from light and refreshing options to dark and hoppy brews. As part of the BC Ale Trail, this cozy establishment offers a rotating menu of seasonal drinks alongside their classic offerings.
In town for a work project, we stopped in to try a flight of Three Ranges Brewing CO’s beers. We were NOT disappointed! Such a diverse and flavourful collection of beers (and clever branding and names too). The patio was a great place to hang out and enjoy the small town vibe. Especially enjoyed “Resplendent Raspberry Sour” and “Swamp Donkey” brews. 👍

seems to be out of business, property is for sale Edit: actually I did check the website in advance and couldn't find anywhere on the website that the brewery would be closed. I'm not on social media. I couldn't post this comment on Google maps without giving a rating. Let me make it a 3 star then - that's more neutral. I'm sorry you went out of business. Are you planning on opening again at some point?

Perfect dinner. A good selection of craft beers. My first visit and I asked for a Pils and was given a delicious lager to try and my friend ordered an amber ale and chose from 3 tastings. We sat outside with our dogs, ate good food from the food truck and relished the warm summer evening.

So sad to hear about Three Ranges closing. I know an establishment like theirs is really important to a smaller community. We always enjoyed their beer and the pub when we’ve been through a couple times. We live in Edmonton and sadly can’t support them the way I would want to. I’ve even searched out their products here in Edmonton. I hope something good comes of it. Cheers! (With a Skippity Pap - my fave)

Alpine Country Rentals is a top-notch rental equipment experience with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They provide thorough pre/post-use inspections for snowmobiles and Avalanche packs, ensuring all details are covered. The store offers Stihl products, repairs for small engines, ATV's, and snowmobiles, as well as a selection of clothes, gloves, and helmets. It's a go-to place in the community for parts for saws or sleds and reliable rentals.
Brought my kids out for their first mountain sledding adventure. On the first day we lost a bolt off my son’s sled because Dad forgot to tighten it during some repairs. Stopped at Lordco because it was the first place we came across. They had a great bolt selection in fact I think they had everything except for a metric cap screw to replace the one that my son’s sled was missing. They told us about these guys so we headed over. As soon as I entered the store and seen how well stocked they were I was immediately hopeful they would be able to help and they had exactly what we needed! When in the store we noticed a solid amount of quality sledding gear, chainsaws and a variety of other stuff! Thanks again and you will be our first stop every time we are in Valemount! 🍻🍻

What a rip off! I blew the belt on my 2012 CAN AM Renegade and gave Alpine country Rentals a call and they said they could fix it and that it would cost me a hour in labour and a new belt. As it is a quick job. Two days later they said the quad is ready for pick up. They charge me $250 and gave me back a box of parts saying the quad a ''peace of junk'' and can't be fixed. Brought the quad home and put a belt on it and worked right away. Makes you wonder if they know anything about machines at all or if they are just looking to rip people off.

A big shout out to the employees, especially the lady's at the front counter, forgot my gloves in avalanche back pack, they found them, found us and returned them to me, in nova scotia! Big thanks to them and the rest of the crew. Happy sledding!!!! Dave.

Best rental equipment experience I’ve had to date! Super kind staff and easy to work with. No detail was left out, between the Avalanche packs to the snowmobile pre/post-use inspections by Josh, all boxes checked all questions answered with confidence. Can’t wait to rent more sleds off you guys next season!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Brought in three balloons to them to fill with helium and came out with only two, but got charged for all of them. They popped one of my balloons, which I brought from out of town for an event, and they blamed it on the balloon, the weather, and everything under the sun, even though it popped because it was overfilled. Super disappointed and will not be trusting them for events again. Didn’t have time to argue so tried to call them to talk to them later. They hung up on me! So much for quality customer service.
Rayelle H — Google review
Brutal service. Rented a backpack the night before sledding, for 3 days. Didn't use it, came back the next morning and the girl told me no refund. She asked the boss, he said a refund is fine, but she took it in her hands to still charge me $15 for the paper work she did. It would have taken less time to give me a full refund, but instead took 20 minutes for her to charge me the $15. I'm sorry, but that is terrible service. There was not much paper work, and I did not use the bag at all. They should be serving their customers, not laying a guilt trip or making a scene. The paper work was nothing and completely irrelevent. This was not an Av pack either, just a regular backpack with a shovel. Give me a break.
Evan L — Google review
Rented a back pack for 3 days. Only used 2 days. Didn’t mentioned there was no refund for returning early. I will not be renting anything from them again. $45 wasted! Hope you get the crabs!

Valemount Visitor Centre is conveniently located just minutes from the town core and offers a variety of trails suitable for different biking experiences. Visitors have praised the helpful staff, particularly mentioning Ernie, who provided valuable insights and assistance with trip planning. The center's clean facilities and informative brochures make it a great stop for travelers looking to learn more about Valemount and its surrounding attractions. Although lacking air conditioning, the friendly atmosphere and helpful resources make it a worthwhile visit for anyone exploring the area.
Stopped by Valemount Visitor Centre for a bathroom break on the way to Jasper. The centre is clean, bright and airy. We picked up lots of guides and brochures of nearby places of interest.

We usually stop here for 10-minutes on road trips. A good spot to let out the kids or dog to stretch the legs as there is a large field and it's far enough away from the main roads. A few picnic benches of seating nearby as well.

I stopped to get some information, I didn't leave with much. I had to wander around the store to see what the town was about. I asked all the questions, I thought the lady could have shared more helpful information of what the town offered. I left there wondering why I even stopped.

What a joke of a town. Safe to say I’ll never be back — the name Valemount will always be a bitter reminder. Found a “futuristic” self-cleaning public toilet… reality? A malfunctioning mess. Filthy inside, couldn’t even wash my hands. Feels more like a cheap PR stunt — probably a bribe by Telus to keep other phone providers out of town 😂. And that’s another issue. I drove 30 extra minutes just to get here, hoping for a decent place to dine and maybe some cell service. Instead, I found a town that fails in every direction. Dining? Fail. Service? Fail. Experience? Complete fail. Valemount, the “pit stop” you’ll regret.

The Valemount Visitor Centre is fantastic! The building is adorable, and the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Like another reviewer mentioned, they are genuinely excited to share their knowledge with you. The gift shop is a gem, offering lots of unique magnets and great prices on items. Some of the same items Jasper and Banff carry, but cheaper. They have shelves lined with brochures of other nearby places, and the staff helped me discover new spots I’d love to check out in the future. Overall, a must stop if you’re in the area!

Golf Courses
I have only experienced the golfing aspect of Valemount Pines Golf & RV Park, but I can attest to the fact that the course is incredibly pleasant and well-maintained. With 18 tee areas and 9 putting greens, it offers a variety of options for players. The fairways are spacious and accommodating, although they do require some distance to cover. While there is only one water hazard present, it adds an enjoyable challenge to the game.
Everyone is super friendly and accommodating, the golf course is well cared for and has some very challenging holes for everyone!, the campground is very close to everything and we enjoyed our stay very much😀🤩

To the owners of this beautiful place, I would like to send a BIG Thanks to Brian and his team for doing all they could to make our stay welcoming. We have been there three times this year and stayed in July, Aug, and Sept. In July I was there three days and woke up to having vehicles all over the place. Jasper was evacuated and Valemount Pines welcomed them with open arms. I got to witness how great Ethan and Brian going full on board to make sure EVERYONE was as comfortable as possible. I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked another week's stay in August. I could not wait to come back to camp and play golf again! Our stay in August was more relaxed because Jasper is now open and people could return. What an awesome week! At the end of the week, we invited Brian to play golf with us and he was great to teach me how to better my game. I had such a fun time that we decided to book another week in Sept. Sept's stay brought a new level of respect I have for Brian and Ethan. Our one-week stay turned into a two-week stay because my husband ended up being in hospital. The boys made me feel safe and would do anything to help. What could have been a nightmare of a trip was made very bearable stay at Valemount Pines. I will recommend this place to all my family and friends. I love the course and the views on each hole are breathtaking. I have golfed many courses over the years and the greens are in excellent condition. We left wanting to come back because these green are so sweet. I have witnessed how well Brian manages the course and it shows. The restroom where always clean and enjoyed showering with hot water. This place is a hidden gem and so looking forward to coming back. Suzanne & Gary McCarthy

This is a clean and welcoming spot with amazing views. We stayed during the off season on our way through Valemount and the campground had everything we needed. The sites are spacious, and the facilities are clean and functional. Our toddler loved running around the playground and open space. We would stay here again!!

Brian is a legend! Very helpful and relaxed, he let us choose our camping spot, advising the best positions for views. We lucked out as Brian was putting on a massive firework display on our first night, it was amazing! We had a 3 night stay, full hook up. No fresh water but Brian sorted us with some bottled water when we were low. Also an ideal location for Mount Robson

We were evacuated from Jasper and had to head west with no destination in mind. Valemount Pines Golf & RV Park welcomed us off the road at 2am and told us we could stay for as long as we needed without charge. I cannot express how helpful it was and how much it eased our stress. We will forever be grateful for their immense kindness. I absolutely want to visit again and stay as a guest when able. It’s a beautiful place. Thank you.
James B — Google review
Stayed four nights in the campground. Beautiful and all facilities very clean. Golfing was wonderful. Not to busy so never felt rushed on the course. Host is extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed. Checked on us daily to make sure we were happy with everything. Will definitely return.

Valemount Pines is a wonderful place to golf or camp or do both. The views are stunning as you are surrounded by mountains and get the views wherever your camping spot is. The manager is exceptionally forthcoming and everybody else is super friendly and helpful as well. Easy to arrange , great pre flight safety, calm pleasant pilot, vehicle drop at trailhead, beautiful flight path, . Good value
Ian M — Google review
They got us safely to Robson Pass to do our Berg Lake day hike. But a few things could be done differently. Highway construction caused a few of us to be 10 mins late for our 8:00 booking. So we expected to be one of the last to fly up. Fair enough. Little did we know that they had booked 20+ people for the 8:00 slot and that they didn't start flying the first group until close to 9:30. There were enough people there by 8:00 AM. I don't understand why they wouldn't start flying groups right away instead of waiting for everyone to get shuttled back. It was just inefficient considering It takes 25 mins between each take off plus refuel delays .We were the second last group so we weren't at Robson Pass to start our hike until well past 11:30 AM. Also, For a big group, safety orientation could easily (and more effectively) be done by video. They also could have organized the shuttle to trailhead so that they saved some time instead of picking up one or two people at a time.

We stayed here in June 2025 for a night while traveling from Alberta. It is a lovely place located just a couple kilometres out of town. The area is quiet with lots of birds in the forest to fill the air with songs. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessities for cooking. There were windows to open on both sides of the cabin to allow a cool evening breeze to flow through the. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. There was no air conditioning so it could get a bit warm in the cabin on a hot summer day but the evenings are generally cool so that helps to get a good sleep. I would highly recommend this place overall.

Mount Robson Whitewater Rafting Co. offers a range of rafting experiences in the Canadian Rockies, catering to both beginners and experienced adventurers. The season runs from May to mid-September, with peak water levels in June due to snowmelt. The Ottawa River is one of their popular destinations, offering high volume rapids and the option to navigate through Middle & Main channels.
We did the 2 hour float, Great customer service, friendly knowledgeable staff, we were told stories of the mountains, people, and the rivers in the area… it was a great relaxing trip. We had a 2.5 year old to over 50 year old…. I’d definitely recommend.

This is a terrific experience with wonderful people. Tyler was our guide and Mady our lookout and Abby our photographer. The safety aspect is comprehensive and the gear is excellent for warmth and maneuverability. The scenery is beautiful and the whole rafting experience brilliant. Thanks!

I can’t express just how grateful I am we went with this company!!! Tyler and maddie were amazing, entertaining and knowledgeable guides… we had so much fun and my husband And I are hoping to be back before the end of this season if our schedules align again or for sure next season!!! Tatt or Natt (the photographer anyways I couldn’t figure out which name I was hearing) did an amazing job capturing our rafting adventure!!! When we couldn’t bring our phones I was concerned we wouldn’t get great pictures! But without our phones to take pictures I was able to enjoy the entire experience and we ended up with awesome pictures anyways!!! (And for all of them they were only $40 at the end!!!) Myself and another gentleman had medical issues and the guides ensured we were taken care of and checked on us throughout the experience… Definitely above and beyond!!! Will be back 100% Thanks again to the entire team, driver, photographer, our guides and anybody else I may have missed that helped make this possible for us!!! You guys are awesome!!!

Amazing and fun activity for a day trip! We did the white water rafting, but I’m sure the scenic tour is also beautiful. The white water rafting was fun and easily done even though we didn’t have experience. The guides are amazing and takes you safely through the rafts, so you feel safe even in the wilder parts of the tour. As a bonus the ride down the river is also so beautiful (when you have time to notice)

Staff were so friendly and excited to see all their clients get onto the rafts. Our guide, Ryan, was so knowledgeable of the local mountains and back history as well as the local wildlife we witnessed during our float. He provided so much education about the water we were on and how a river actually works. Our kids had an amazing time, as did we! Met wonderful people on our raft from all over the world. Beautiful weather and great waters! Definitely recommend!! 100 out of 10!!

The staff/crew were incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive — making sure we were safe, comfortable and having fun. We also couldn't ask for a better guide than Tyler. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, and had a great sense of humor that kept the energy high throughout the trip. He made us feel confident on the water and made the whole experience that much more memorable. If you've been rafting before or are considering rafting for the first time, this is the place to do it. We hope to be back in the future when given the chance :)

We went rafting earlier today and it was a great experience! Liam, Justin, and Brooke were an excellent guide. They make sure we are safe and will have an exciting experience! It's pretty affordable as well compared to the other rafting company we saw. I will definitely come back to this rafting company when we go back here for vacation

Fantastic customer service! We did the Scenic Raft Float for $79 plus GST and really enjoyed it. We felt like we could have spent another hour just floating along. If we are over this way in the future we will definitely use this service again.

I recently went whitewater rafting for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience! We chose Stellar Descents, and I was impressed by how accommodating the team was, especially on short notice. They allowed my dog, Lucky, to join us on the scenic raft float, and he seemed comfortable and happy throughout the trip—a special thanks to Justin, Kris, and the entire team for making this experience so enjoyable. I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to embark on a fun and memorable rafting adventure!

Rafting with you and my family on the Fraser River has been one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. Thank you for your professionalism, for enjoying the work you do so much, and for making every trip feel like the first. We had scenic float at the end of the season. Kris was wonderful with explanation and showing us around. I took one star out, it was no “wow” effect. We would try white water rafting next time, our daughter is still young to take this year.

Today I had the most incredible experience with Cariboo Snowcat Skiing, joining my brother in law and a dozen of his friends! From start to finish, everything about the day was flawless. The guides are highly skilled and professional. They made everyone feel welcome and safe throughout the adventure. Their passion for the mountains and skiing was contagious, and they truly went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. The terrain was breathtaking, with untouched powder and stunning views, including the majestic Mount Robson. The snowcat rides were warm and comfortable, adding to the unique charm of this backcountry adventure. Special shoutout to Terry, the snowcat operator today and company CEO, for his expert driving and to Max, Matt, Joe, Craig and the entire guiding team for their knowledge and enthusiasm.
