St. Jacobs Country Playhouse is a cozy and well-sized theatre located in the southwest of the province. The lobby features a bar and can accommodate most guests, while volunteers help you find your comfortable seats, which offer great sightlines and perfect sound. The parking lot is spacious, and the tickets are reasonably priced for the quality of performances offered.
I recently saw Misery at St. Jacob’s Playhouse and really enjoyed it! The acoustics were excellent, and the intimate size of the theatre means there isn’t a bad seat in the house. I was especially impressed by the clever set design. The way they created the different rooms of the house was so well done. It was also really crafty how they managed Paul’s movement around the stage in his wheelchair during the scenes. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more shows here. If you want to escape the chaos of heading into Toronto and avoid the overpriced tickets of most Mirvish shows, St. Jacob’s Playhouse is a fantastic alternative - great performances, reasonable prices, and a charming local atmosphere.

We had a great time watching liars at a funeral play!!! The building itself is so cute and clean on the outside and rustic and abin like on the inside. Theres a bar with snacks and beverages a bit pricey but expected. The theatre area was smaller than i expected very cozy and stage was probably easy to see everywhere. Will hopefully go back aomeday!!

Super Community Theatre, well-kept, clean washrooms, and has a bar. Staff is very helpful. Saw 'Liars at a Funeral' here 2025.

The Sounds of Soul Created by Lee Siegel is an amazing stage show packed with hits of a truly amazing time in music history. An immersive show you will enjoy. I highly recommend!
Wayne N — Google review
Nice, cozy little theatre. We've seen several Drayton productions there and they're always amazingly well done. My only caveat is not to buy front row tickets unless you're really tall as the stage is quite high up.
Amy S — Google review
I’ve seen many, many performances here over the years and it is still my favourite venue to watch a show in. The theatre is the perfect size to feel like you’re a part of something really special and connected to the actors on stage. The stories chosen to be told are always something that gets conversations going and promotes sharing.
Tara A — Google review
This is a very good theater. Well laid out, plenty of parking available. Drinks purchased on-site are allowed in the seating area. We normally select Loges seating. There are a variety of Drayton Entertainment productions. All are excellent. Looking forward to the 2026 Season.

Such a cute theatre. Perfect size that anywhere you sit you can see the stage well. Been here to watch a few shows now and I definitely recommend it.

ChatGPT said:Waterloo Park is a beautiful, lively green space right in the heart of the city — I’ve spent a few afternoons there, and it’s always enjoyable. The park has something for everyone: walking trails around Silver Lake, picnic areas, sports fields, and even a small zoo area with farm animals. It’s perfect for families, joggers, or just relaxing under the trees. The trails are well-maintained, and parking is free but can fill up fast on weekends. It’s clean, spacious, and has a friendly community vibe all year round.

Tom Patterson Theatre | Stratford Festival

The Tom Patterson Theatre, part of the renowned Stratford Festival, is a contemporary gem that offers an intimate experience with its unique thrust stage design. Originally known as the Casino, this venue has a rich history of hosting legendary big bands like Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Visitors can explore public areas such as the inviting lobby and charming café without needing tickets, but to access the theatre itself for shows or workshops, tickets are required.
The acoustics, stage lighting and effects were amazing. The theatre is beautiful. The only complaint that I have was that because of the remote location by the river, it is difficult for seniors with mobility issues to have a choice of places to eat. Therefore the theatre’s restaurant has a monopoly on food and was over priced.
Ingrid B — Google review
Theatre has a lovely outdoor patio. Parking on site is available and wasn't full at all. Good view from all seats inside
Jane — Google review
Amazing venue designed for stage plays! The staff, architecture, washrooms and maintenance were all excellent. The food and drinks at the cafeteria could have had more variety though.
Mahdi K — Google review
We went to see Ransacking Troy, and I was blown away. And not just by the play, but by the theater as well. A beautiful building inside and out, with a store, dining and bar areas and not a single bad seat in the whole house. I will definitely be coming back!
Caryn F — Google review
Lovely modern theatre with interesting architecture and kind staff! It was a joy to watch The Winter’s Tale here with friends.
Cailey H — Google review
Incredible theatre built in 2020. Modern amenities, brilliant architecture, exquisite staging, lighting, and stagecraft. We saw two plays here (The Winter's Tale and Forgiveness) and both were extremely well done and enhanced by their presentation at Tom Patterson Theatre.
Jerry B — Google review
A very nice, modern theatre. The stage forms a narrow peninsula surrounded by the audience. This makes for a very different experience.
Mel R — Google review
An amazing experience in a beautiful, light filled and airy theatre. The common spaces never felt crowded. You can see the river from wherever you are in the lobby. There were an ample number of washrooms and no queues. The theatre space is lovely and seats were velvety and comfortable. Be sure you enjoy the outdoor patio and the adjacent garden.

Avon Theatre | Stratford Festival

Theaters
The Avon Theatre, part of the Stratford Festival, is a historic venue with a classic proscenium stage for plays, musicals, and concerts. Situated along Downie Street, it originally opened as an opera house in 1900. The theatre boasts a charming atmosphere and is well-maintained despite its age. Visitors can also spot Justin Bieber's star outside the theatre where he used to busk before becoming famous.
Saw Anne of Green Gables this past weekend. The interpretation was incredible; keeping in line with the main story but adding a new, modern twist. As well, there were lots of comedic and heartfelt moments. The acting was brilliant and the set perfectly done to reflect each time period. The Avon Theatre is a beautiful theatre, with comfortable seating, washroom facilities that were plentiful and moved quickly. There is also a good-size shop onsite if you are looking for show merchandise.
Tamara H — Google review
The Avon Theatre in Stratford is a charming venue, with a classic look on the outside and a comfortable, welcoming feel inside. The seats are fairly comfortable with the sound and lighting being usually excellent. The location is great too — right in the heart of Stratford, close to shops, cafes, and parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that the seating can feel a bit tight if the theatre is full, especially in the older sections, as was my case when I went to watch Macbeth there recently. Also, some of the best seats tend to sell out quickly, so it's a good idea to book in advance. Overall, the Avon Theatre is a nice place to enjoy live performances, especially as part of the Stratford Festival. The quality of the performances is first-rate.  As part of the Stratford Festival, the productions are top-tier. The Stratford Shakespeare Festival was launched in 1952 by Tom Patterson, a local journalist. Today, it has grown into one of Canada’s most popular cultural events. His vision was to bring Shakespeare's works to life in the town of Stratford, Ontario, a location that shared its name with the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. At the time, Stratford was a small town, but Patterson believed that bringing Shakespeare’s works to the town could not only elevate its cultural profile but also serve as an economic boost, drawing tourists from around the world. The idea was somewhat ambitious, given that Stratford was not known for its theater scene at that time. Patterson's vision eventually gained support from several key figures, with local residents rallying behind the project.
Ravindran P — Google review
We watched a beautiful reproduction of the Anne of the green Gables in Avon theatre in downtown Stratford. The venue is great with a beautiful layout. The production was also amazing. Strongly recommend watching Anne of the Green Gables.
Veria H — Google review
First time seeing a show here. Seats I picked were wrong for a tall person like me. Avoid seats over a doorway with a ledge, very tight. Beautiful theater, very nice staff
K G — Google review
Came here for the first time and experienced the Anne of Green Gables play. To me it was just ok. Our first impression of going to Stratford was a pain because this city doesn't have enough parking for the theatres so we spent 20 minutes looking for parking with every lot full. Then rushed to arrive on time. Small issue: this venue lacks having enough washrooms for the amount of people during the 15 minute break. The play itself was mediocre. The actors/actresses were tremendous but this was a very liberal twist on the story of Anne of Green Gables. They added a gay character. Took a shot at the current USA VP. Among some other things I won't mention. To me, politics should stay out of plays unless it's necessary. The story lacked authenticity in the second hour and I wish I just left at half and explored Stratford. 2/5 ⭐⭐
MJG — Google review
Saw Macbeth and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels playing here this season. Superb. All the theatres in Stratford are excellent, with the Avon being no exception. Comfortable seating. Recommend coming here for top quality theatre.
Dr G — Google review
We watched anne of green gables. Loved the production and set. Well executed. The theater is cozy and everything is well managed.
Afsary A — Google review
We came to see Macbeth and I don't think I've ever seen a show with better stagecrafting! The theater was lovely, with a really nice shop and a concession area where you could pre-order for intermission! What a great idea! We'll definitely be back again!

Shopping Malls
"One Of A Kind Antiques & Collectibles" is a three-floor antique mall located in the former Harvey Woods garment factory. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the merchandise, with Bailey on the first floor being particularly helpful. Visitors are advised to take their time exploring as there are treasures around every corner, especially on the second floor where incredible deals can be found at booths 987. It's recommended to visit on a cool day and be prepared to spend hours browsing through the unique finds.
Be prepared, you need an entire day to fully absorb this mall, it's absolutely enormous. The staff are so friendly and have so much energy. You have the option to take a basket or hand off items to staff to have held behind the front counter, leaving you free to shop with both hands. The three levels are absolutely full, hidden gems everywhere.
Danielle B — Google review
The staff were so incredibly friendly and helped me take down any heavy items I had to be brought to the front desk to wait for me. Some items were way overpriced. I found that particular to that particular vendor and nothing actually wrong with 95% of the other vendors. I will be back and with a bigger amount of money that I can spend. So happy I was able to have gone.
Cole — Google review
This was a really fun place to show up to. I’m happy that I went. They have tons of options and three huge floors of stuff to buy now in terms of prices. Some vendors are reasonable. Some other vendors are pretty heavy-handed with their prices. The staff is really kind and I look forward to coming back here pretty clean by the way doesn’t have any weird smells.
Emerson D — Google review
If you love treasure hunting, quirky finds, and that “I-can’t-believe-this-exists” feeling, the One Of A Kind Antique Mall is your new happy place. This massive four-floor market is practically a kingdom of curiosities—stacked with vintage gems, rare collectibles, and one-off items you simply won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re searching for something special for yourself or hunting down the perfect unique gift for that certain someone, this spot delivers every time. Wandering the aisles feels like going on a mini-adventure—just with better lighting and fewer dragons. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys discovering hidden treasures… or just wants to leave with that satisfied “I scored something awesome” grin.
FilledUpOui — Google review
This place is as much a market as it is a giant time machine. Prices are very reasonable and the variety and scope of items is huge. You will see things here that you haven't seen since you were 6 years old. The staff regularly walk the aisles ready to assist.
Jeff B — Google review
Checked this place out yesterday after seeing it advertised all over social media. I would highly recommend going when you have several hours free. I didn’t even get half way through it and was there for 3 hours. So many things to look at and see! This place has a little bit of everything! It unfortunately isn’t handicapped accessible for anyone not able to use stairs.
Bec E — Google review
My favourite destination in Woodstock! 3 floors of unique, one-of-a-kind collectibles that are a treasure to find😎 Super friendly staff always available to help!
Robert O — Google review
If you enjoy going to antique stores, and Woodstock isn’t too far out of the way, you need to experience this place. It has not 1… not 2… but 3 floors of consignment booths! Prices vary between Really are they serious to OMG I’m getting this! It really depends on how valuable the owner of the booth thinks his stuff is. As it is a consignment place, there is no owner to negotiate with, so the price on it is what you pay. I wish the owners would reevaluate their prices when something hasn’t sold in a year’s time. Might mean you priced it too high right? Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I like to go once every 3 months or so, so that I have a better chance of seeing something I hadn’t seen previously. In closing, you will need a few hours to take in the entire place, which I do recommend you do. Best antique store around.

New Limburg Restaurant & Brewery is a charming establishment located in a converted school building between Simcoe and Delhi. The brewery offers a Belgian-style brews and delicious food, with an expanded patio at the back that provides ample seating properly distanced for safety. Visitors to Norfolk Country can enjoy a variety of activities including beach retreats, wine tasting at Burning Kiln Winery, cider at Blueberry Hill Estates, and zip lining at Long Point Eco Adventures.
This is a beautiful spot! We happened upon it while looking around a farm nearby and wanted to stop in and it was even better than we could have hoped for. The owner is lovely and not overbearing. We had the place to ourselves for the first little bit but even once the other tables filled up we didn’t feel overwhelmed or forgotten about. We got the blonde ale and the table beer which we liked and tried the bitterballen, the Dutch sausage, a grilled cheese and a pizza and all were amazing. We loved everything but the stand out was definitely the fries all dressed up because it was new and delicious! You can tell the care that is put into the meals and the quality of Al the ingredients used. We will absolutely be back and definitely want to try their dinner menu!

Our party of 4 enjoyed a great dinner at this interesting Brewery. We received good service from Zandra. She was very friendly too. We left her a 20% tip. Reviewing our bill (sadly after leaving the Brewery)...(receipt posted here too) We saw 1 classic Caesar $15.95 Mock Really? It wasn't as if it was a particularly fancy one, and what would one with vodka cost? It definitely was a mock Caesar because it was for our designated driver. The rest of our party drank 2-3 beers each because we had a DD. I really hope this very high charge (for a glass of clamato juice) was an error. We'll see ...

Excellent service Although they require reservations to dine here, they welcomed us. First time here was definitely a pleasant experience. We ate too much of their wonderful gourmet meals

The couple who runs this is so lovely and authentic. It is just the two of them, and they made an effort to come and chat with us. Their front patio is dog friendly, so we were able to bring our dog and sit in the shade. They got him a water dish so he was also comfortable. The beers are sooooo delicious ! And the fries special, although the combo sounds intimidating, was something I will dream of. Can not wait to go back!

Delightful stopover for bitterballen at this Dutch microbrewery in Norfolk county! Great backyard patio - friendly owners - lovely Belgian style craft beer. We stopped for a snack and a drink - and brought some of their delightful beers with us for camping; would come back to try their Dutch cuisine!

One of the best restaurants in the entire SWO and definitely the best in the South Simcoe area. Great brewery as well. Me and my family went for a late dinner and they made us feel extremely comfortable and well served. The food was amazing and I’m truly glad we had the opportunity to visit and dine at their restaurant (and buy a case of 12 large beer bottles as well! Thanks again!!!

Great experience even tho we met them last minute and reservation was a bit late. Jo and Yvonne have been very patient with us. The food was amazing, the place and set up was exceptional, service was great too. Our guests loved everything. Our small gathering post wedding because of your family was a success. My husband and I are very thankful. We will definitely visit again when we’re back in Canada.

Local hub for sports & seasonal events, with a river, playground, skate park & picnic facilities.
Pretty awesome park overall. There are lots of geese and ducks that are friendly, too. Designated baseball and soccer fields, lots of benches, and gazebos. Good parking and a skate park as well. Overall, it's the best city park I've been to.
Donald B — Google review
Lovely park, very large. Lots of baseball fields, skate park, memorial garden, decent river running through and waterfowl, splash pad and playground. They hold lots of special events, and July 1st is a great time! However, there is almost no parking for the size. Most of us park on the grass beside the roads, and create parking spots under trees. And parking on the streets outside the park is difficult. It would be great to have better parking.

This is a beautiful park. The park encompasses so much you could spend a day relaxing there. You must watch where you step closer to the river as there are many Canadian Geese and Seagulls there, lol. Definitely don't let it stop you from visiting. I am not from the area but would go just to have a nice day!

Quiet and spacious park to visit. This spot is perfect if you want to have a more low-key area with amazing views. There was an interesting amount of things to see such as the ducks and geese, the small lake and the waterfall rock. Parking isn’t an issue as there’s a good amount of free parking spots.

Nice park. Always full of kids easy for children to play with one another. Just watch out for that rolly slide as it has left marks on kids legs and looks like it could possibly pinch fingers. A lot of different activities for all ages even for the younger ones. Has a shaded picnic area with tables. Baseball diamond. Restroom area. Has a pond area as well and floral area with a mini rock water fall.

Beautiful park that sprawls over a large area of land. There are several sections to it that, at first glance don't seem connected but are! There is a large pond with many geese, a stream that branches off into quiet spaces with lots of grassy areas and trees, a park for children, a skate park, paved walking areas, pavilions for gatherings, gardens, and more.

Nestled on the outskirts of Tilsonburg, Coyle's Country Store is a delightful destination that captures the essence of small-town charm while offering an impressive variety reminiscent of larger retail spaces. Visitors can easily spend hours exploring its aisles filled with unique finds, from journals and stationery to one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts. The store has a knack for evoking nostalgia and creating meaningful moments; shoppers often leave with special items that resonate deeply, like ornaments symbolizing cherished memories.
I cannot explain how happy visiting here makes me feel. The pecans and cashews are to die for. The spices are beyond reasonable and affordable. Amish popcorn turned me into a popcorn snob. The staff are very helpful. The variety of everything is insane. Store is organized and always clean.

This was a childhood stop on the way to my aunt's. Stopped in with my oldest son. Brought back a lot of memories. Great atmosphere friendly staff and a great selection of goodies. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

It has been a while since we were here last. The store never fails to add new and awesome products. We bought 3 very special Christmas gifts that you probably can't get anywhere else. All the candy and other items keep you wandering for as long as you like. The store was busy, but you never felt crowded. You can't go wrong with Coyle's County Store

Clovermead Adventure Farm | Honey Shop

Children's farm
Sights & Landmarks
Clovermead Adventure Farm is a top adventure farm in Southwestern Ontario, just 35 minutes outside of London. The farm offers a wide range of activities for all ages, including animal encounters, rides, play equipment, and a splash pad. There are plenty of seating areas for adults and well-placed bathroom facilities. Visitors can bring their own picnic lunch or purchase food from vendors on-site.
Great farm. I picked a sunny warm day to visit. Corn maze is fantastic for exercise. Basketball, bowling balls and slides were fun for a 40 year old. Animals were so sweet and entertaining. Would love to see an adult night with local ciders and beer served. Food was ok but flies were relentless. Bathroom was clean. I always miss the pumpkin cannon show. I would love to see adult bikes (tricycles) for use around farm if possible. More selfie stands would be great especially at the Big Fall Fun sign. I go alone to visit the farm each year and it's very geared towards children. Would love a child free day and night each month with painting, wagon rides, vendors, dance (host a radio station to attend and such. Would be fun to see a few options for the child free demographic. Thanks for the fun day outside. Response to owner: I can't reply for some reason to your response about the children being heart broken over 1 day for an adult only event. Sorry for the suggestion. I'm not from your area to organize this but would attend a child free event if it were available. Example: I enjoy East Park Waterpark Adult only events each month of the summer in London. The attendance was alarming because the demographic is so large and often ignored. Single people looking for a place to happen outside of the city is a suggestion. I'll leave that with you to navigate or ignore

Visited Clovermead Farm in Aylmer, Ontario this past Saturday. Tickets were $22 per person online (kids under 2 are free), and parking was huge—seriously, you’ll never worry about finding a spot! Despite the crowd, it didn’t feel overcrowded, which was a pleasant surprise. This place is a hit with families and schools—lots of activities for kids under 10. Some attractions are small (like the ball-hanging activity) or repetitive (several similar slides), but the kids didn’t seem to mind. They had three wagon rides throughout the day; most were just okay, except the shaky cup ride which was fun—and all of them are included in the ticket price. Food-wise, you can bring your own, or try their on-site spots—we grabbed the 6” pizzas, which were fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. The main reason for the 4 stars: cleanliness. Some areas are really dusty and not well-maintained, especially the “bear place,” which was the dirtiest. I even spotted an insect nest there—pretty concerning with so many young kids running around. I get the rustic farm vibe they’re going for, but it still needs to be child-friendly and safe. Overall, a fun day out for families with young kids, but I hope they step up the upkeep before our next visit.

There’s no way you can fully enjoy everything here at this place. The smash burger and poutine is amazing. All the animals look so well cared for. The family has put so much work and effort into making this place amazing for the Littles to play. The pumpkin show was quite impressive, the Beanery was absolute sensory overload. We watch a young boy with autism have such a wonderful time in there and his mom was able to just enjoy watching him play safely. Overall I’m just impressed with the unlimited amount of things to do.

We had the most amazing time at Clovermead Adventure Farm! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. There’s so much for kids (and adults!) to do — giant jumping pillows, farm animals to meet, tractor rides, and endless outdoor play areas. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up for families to explore. My daughter loved the bee- tracker ride and the zip line and could have spent all day on the play structures. It’s such a fun, safe, and educational place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend for a full day of fresh air, laughter, and adventure!

I was hesitating to buy the tickets because the admission during long weekend is higher than regular day. I placed order online for a discount eventually. There are so many areas to go to and most facilities are well maintained. For the Fall festival decorations were very eye catching. I love they also have giant selfies pole for photo taking. We had a blast here.

What an amazing experience for the family. We missed many of the events having gone on weekday yet we could have spent forever there. So much fun was still had by my wife and I plus our children. The space was cleverly used. The sites were wonderfully designed and interactive. The train tour guy was great. We spent much of our time telling the kids we needed to move along to see/do everything which we still didn't manage. The kids enjoyed everything and my wife and I were able to enjoy each other's company in a fun, beautiful atmosphere. Thank you for all your hard work. We'll definitely be returning.

Took my 7, 4, and 2 year olds for the first time last week and we all LOVED it! Blown away with how many fun and interactive activities there was to do for the kids. They've never played so hard and were pooped when we got in the car again. The favourites were the splash pad, bean pit, feeding the animals, and playing on all of the cool and unique areas. The food was yummy and large portions. Lots of places and shade to cool off from the hot heat that day, too! We will be back for sure! Oh and also, my 4 year old had a puncture wound on his foot from the day before we visited but he didn't tell me about it until we were at Clovermead when he complained he couldn't put weight on his foot while playing. I asked staff for a first aid kit to clean and bandage it and the most friendly and kind staff member helped us out right away. Half way through the day after that she even came and found us to check on him. Amazing, helpful, friendly, and caring staff! 👏

lots to do for families at this farm. more suited to older children (2+) but still fun to look/feed the animals and take family photos. the honey is delicious, and so we're the Chipotle chicken gyros and donuts. the stones I had in my pay dirt were a nice size and variety. worth 10$ imo. will return when my kids are a little older and can do more activities.

Museum Of Naval History - HMCS Ojibwa

Specialty Museums
The Museum of Naval History - HMCS Ojibwa is a hidden gem located in Port Burwell, Ontario. It offers an educational and fun experience for visitors of all ages. The tour provides insight into the cold war era submarine, with a knowledgeable guide sharing fascinating stories and fun facts. Visitors can explore the cramped yet well-maintained internal space and gain an understanding of the history behind this preserved vessel. The tour is conducted in small groups, allowing for an intimate and engaging experience.
HMCS Ojibwa Museum is a must-visit! The submarine's rich history and detailed tours are fascinating. Excited to hear that starting June 19, it's open 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. Don't miss it - be sure to arrive before 3:40pm for the last tour. Highly recommend exploring this piece of naval history!

We booked tickets online (payment due on visit). I absolutely loved the whole experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable and tour of the vessel was as so informative. It was a hot day and their staff had free water bottles at the entrance for visitors. I will highly recommend visiting and experiencing the submarine.
Kanza A — Google review
Went to visit the HMCS Ojibwa submarine tour. Well worth the money. Book online and pay when you arrive. The tour takes a little more than an hour and the guide was very knowledgable. The sub looks large from the outside but there isn't much living space inside. Hard to believe they jammed up to 70 people inside for months on end. There is a diesel smell inside the sub but I didn't find it too bad. You are allowed to take as many pictures as you want, though in one area of the sub, if you drop your phone or camera you might not get it back. Great fun. Very enjoyable time well spent.
Howard W — Google review
Impressive submarine. You can walk it from one end to the other in an organized tour. Approx 20 CAD a ticket. Not a crowded place. Little restaurants around with patios overviewing the sub. Only approx 2 hours drive from Toronto area.
Cristi B — Google review
A very pleasant experience. Last year I went and visited the submarine in Buffalo but I was not as impressed as this one. Julian helped us have an unforgettable experience, his stories about the submarine as if he was part of the crew made us feel the same experience. Thank you.

Wow! An impressive piece of history. A tremendous amount of pride is taken by volunteers and staff to restore/maintain this beautiful lady. Well worth the trip for a guided tour of this vessel. With any luck you may bump into a Canadian Submariner who served on this vessel, I've heard they tend to hang around here frequently 😉. Grab advance tickets online, there are maximums for tours and they do fill up fast.

Our Tour guide Amanda was absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable and fun. My husband and I enjoyed the tour. My husband asked few questions and Amanda was able to answer them and my husband was impressed that she knows it.

A definite “must see” if you have any interest in Canadian history or the Canadian navy. It’s a submarine that was used during the Cold War. Our guide, Amanda, really made this an excellent experience! She was very knowledgeable; almost as if she had served on this submarine herself. She has had the good fortune to speak with former submariners who have come to visit and volunteer at this museum.

Port Burwell Provincial Park

Nature & Parks
Port Burwell Provincial Park is a coastal destination offering campgrounds, a sandy beach with a dog-friendly area, and a kids' playground. The park provides clean bathrooms and well-maintained sites, some of which offer privacy. The wardens are helpful and the maintenance crew is friendly. Although the beach area is outside the park, it's easily accessible by driving down the hill. Additionally, there are flush toilets with sinks and soap in the Alzora campground.
Port Burwell is probably my favourite provincial park in Ontario. I know it doesn’t have a ton of amenities but it is absolutely the best park if you want to be in a quiet calm place. The beach is beautiful and has the best sunsets. Personally I have gone during long weekends then stay a whole week after and it is just the most relaxing place to be! Highly recommend this park if you want to relax in peace and quiet.
Carrie A — Google review
This beach is perfection. It is Sandy and shallow, so perfect for kids! I have so enjoyed coming here. You get a nice view of the sunset, there’s nothing negative to say about the beach! BUT, one huge drawback, the bathrooms are absolutely horrific. You can smell them from a good 15 feet away, and it’s just beyond disgusting. Because of the smell, the bathroom itself is absolutely covered in bugs. It is the only drawback but it’s a really big one. Having to bring your own portable toilet is not something everyone can do, and it’s really rotten that you have to pay to enter and then deal with that kind of smell from the bathrooms. I was under the assumption that provincial parks would take care of restrooms with the high entry fee.

Good and quite place for camping. Campsites are pretty big and beautiful..washrooms are clean and well maintained. Park design is little weird so you have to walk a lot.. suggestions is to carry your bicycles so it becomes little easier to explore. There are 2 small trails.. Beach is pretty clean..you can not take anything from park to your home.neither wooden stick nor a stone ..😄 which is a their rule. Few major attractions near this park are- two museums Light house Huge Submarine Trails Simply scoop ice cream Few places to shop.

I stayed here with my boyfriend over a long weekend for a quick getaway together. Check in was easy, a bit busy when we arrived but it still only took a few minutes. The site we was spacious and private, although not a lot of grass. The fire pit and grate was in great condition (kudos to who ever used it before us). We heard some noisy sites up pretty late both nights, but it didn’t bother us. The store had everything you would need to prevent having to leave the property, even some additional things like games and a lot of things for kids. The day use area was a decent size with a couple of trails leading to the beach. The beach was very big and clean, many staff were there picking up garbage and patrolling to ensure of this. Although, the water was pretty dirty. The comfort stations were very clean, I saw staff cleaning them a couple of times each day. The porta potty/out house styled bathrooms scattered throughout the park I can’t speak on because our site was right beside a comfort station so I never used one (in my experience they have not been very clean at other provincial parks). The ravine creek trail was nice for a quick hike, only took us about 20 mins. The hike to the beach is longer, but not as nice unfortunately. They had a big recreation field with a basket ball net, volleyball nets, disc golf baskets, and a playground. We forgot the fishing poles (which they did have available to rent) but we decided to opt out of fishing, so I cannot speak on that either.

Love this place. Beach is lovely soft sand and clean. Staff are friendly and there is always someone cleaning the beach and facilities. We come for the dog beach and I feel very truly blessed to live close enough to come here regularly. Great value for a park pass!!!

Provincial Parks are usually our go to for camping. First time at Port Burwell. Found this park to be VERY noisy. I was unable to relax with all the excess noise in the area. (numerous dogs barking, people speaking loudly, parties and music until late after midnight). They did not enforce the quiet time hours but were extremely strict with the one car per site rule. The bathroom facilities were maintained yet always seemed dirty/messy. They ran out of hand towels and toilet paper was constantly on the floor. The beach was beautiful. I understand that Provincial parks are no longer "raking" the beaches so there is sticks and seaweed everywhere. But you can't beat the sand, amazing!! Even though the beach was busy, you could always find a place to set up and not feel cramped or crowded. It is a bit of a hike to get to the beach but worth it once you are there. I would suggest taking the car if you have kids and lots of things to carry along. The town is close and within biking distance. The submarine is worth the tour. Very much a "birding" community. I could not believe the number of birdhouses and all the different birds. Awesome to see and read on the dunes preservation in the area. Very nice, definitely worth seeing.
C S — Google review
Camped here in May which is their off season. We camped with kids and choose campsite 125 near the playground. Our camp site was clean and shady. Lots of privacy and our family had an enjoyable time. Bathrooms where modern and clean. Gate staff where friendly and helpful. We came here for the Dog Beach and we were not disappointed. Burwell had a small town feeling and it was nice. If you get a chance have breakfast at "Beach Patties" it was top notch.
Ashlee's R — Google review
Great Provincial Park - But i likely will not return for the following reasons. 1. The washrooms in the park are disgusting. They need to be upgraded and maintained. 2. The washrooms in the beach are TEN times as worse. I am almost throwing up thinking about it. 3. I wish they had a shower at the beach. They have a few taps in the parking lot, but they were either not functional or next to the aforementioned disgusting washrooms. The park itself has ONE shower. It's not obvious unless you ask or look at the map super carefully. It was backlogged no matter what time we went. 4. The beach is a 5 min drive away, the parking is free if you have a campsite but it's a trek both to the beach parking lot and from the lot to the beach. My boys and I still made a great trip out of it, but I wish it wasn't as badly maintained.

Victoria Park, also known as Vicky Park, is a beloved 18-acre green space in east London. It's the largest park in the borough and offers diverse attractions such as a replica of the Whitehall cenotaph, a Chinese pagoda, and opportunities for row boating. The park hosts summer festivals and concerts while transforming into a free skating spot with enchanting Christmas lights during winter.
Victoria Park is truly the heart of London! This beautiful green space offers something for everyone—whether you’re taking a relaxing stroll, enjoying a picnic, or attending one of the many festivals hosted here throughout the year. The park is well-maintained, with plenty of benches, walking paths, and shady trees. In the summer, the festivals and concerts bring so much energy, while in the winter, the holiday lights display is magical. There’s also a great play area for kids and plenty of open spaces for activities. The central location makes it an easy stop for both locals and visitors. If you’re in London, I highly recommend visiting Victoria Park—it’s a gem in the city!

Beautiful park in London, stopped here for a quick walk to see the Holy Roller tank from WWII. And it was well worth it. There are some benches to sit and reflect or rest your legs next to the tank. The squirrels are hilarious and will follow for snacks. I didn't spend a lot of time here, but would definitely stop again in my travels across Canada.

The one thing I love the most about Victoria Park is the different events that happen at the Park most weekends. Today, we caught a Hockey Cup final and some other time, it's a music festival. Victoria Park is a pretty large mostly quiet park in the heart of downtown London, ON. It's characterised by a large black gate and a couple of nice sculptures on the Park. It's very lovely especially during Summer. Although our evening at the Park was disrupted by Bees, but we still had a good time walking in the Park. Parking was not really an issue at the Park as we found a place to park easily. Due to the nature of downtown, I won't advise anyone being at the Park till late but it's definitely a good experience to enjoy the Sun. I heard the Park is even more beautiful during Winter, looking forward to it. Ambience ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Location ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Victoria Park's ice skating rink is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is magical, especially in the evening with the twinkling lights and festive vibes. Definitely a must-visit for some winter fun!

Downtown's London central Park. It's a medium size park but very beautiful, always clean and lively. It's also very vibrant. In summer is when I like it the most. Here, some festivals take place during the day being my favorite the sun fest. You can go running in here, have a picnic or just walk by.

Arena
Concerts & Shows
Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario is a versatile venue that hosts a variety of events including sports games, concerts, and family shows. It is home to the London Knights and the London Lightning. The arena provides comfortable seating with good sight lines and high-quality sound for concerts. While parking can be a bit challenging, the overall experience at Budweiser Gardens is enjoyable with easy entry points and wheelchair access. Arriving early allows visitors to explore nearby dining options before catching an event.
Canada Life Place (formerly Budweiser Gardens) is a solid venue in downtown London, Ontario. It’s smaller than Toronto arenas, which makes it easier to get in and out, and the views are good from almost every seat. The steep seating helps you see over the crowd, even when people are standing. The arena hosts a mix of concerts, sports, and family events. Recent shows include Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, and Sarah McLachlan. It’s also home to the London Knights hockey team, who have a strong local following. One downside is the sound quality—some say it’s too loud and muddy. Bringing earplugs might help. Ticketing can be tricky. It’s a cashless venue, and tickets may not show up in the regular Ticketmaster app. Using Google Wallet or the London-specific site is your best bet. Overall, it’s a convenient place to catch a show without the hassle of bigger city venues.

Canada Life Place is a great venue spot. I have been here for multiple concerts/events and they are always done well. Lights and sound are fantastic. The staff are very kind and easy to talk to. Hassle free process getting in and to your seats. There are lots of places to get food and drinks, as well as many bathrooms. Drink prices are a bit much but other than that it is great!

My wife and I got tickets to go see AEW. The arena was really nice. Had an aisle seat couple times people going up the stairs drop their drinks. Staff had someone come and clean it up right away. Great arena and view to watch wrestling. crowd was amazing. the vibe was good. Highly recommend.
Justin M — Google review
Have attended this place for various things. The most common and popular one is a good old Knights game. Then who can forget the London Lightning games. So much fun and interaction. Great for the kids. Too bad they don’t exist anymore. I’ve been for private basketball games, which is nice to play on a full size court with a black hallow background. I’ve also been for the good for the Harlem Globetrotters which is a world of fun. Last but not least, I’ve been for some concerts. And who doesn’t like concerts. But the most memorable of them all which didn’t happen inside the arena but just outside it on Dundas street, was Jurassic Park and the Raptors championship gatherings. I have lots of great memories and pictures/videos somewhere and I’ll post them when I find them. But yeah, never a bad time going here. And the way to do that is set no expectations, and live in the moment, then you won’t be upset about the outcome which you can’t control. Your level of enjoyment you can control a big part of it. So yeah, any chance I get to go to Canada Life Place (former Budweiser Gardens).

I had an amazing experience at Canada Life Place for the Avril Lavigne concert! The security staff was super helpful, guiding me to my seats efficiently; I had friendly interactions with security team members, thank you! The concert setup was fantastic, great lighting, sound, and overall vibe. Everything ran smoothly, and the venue was clean and well organized, the seats for the pit were also comfy. Big thanks to the security team, once again, for making the night stress-free, and efficent at every step of the way. I’d definitely come back for another live event here!

Storybook Gardens, situated in Spring Bank Park, is a captivating park that recreates the magic of beloved fairy tales and nursery rhymes. This family-friendly destination has been entertaining visitors since 1958 with its themed rides and attractions. Spanning over 20 acres, the park is tailored for children up to approximately nine years old and features play areas inspired by classic stories. It's a delightful place where kids can let their imaginations run wild while enjoying various activities that bring storybooks to life.
Fantastic garden, loved the theme. The train ride and carousel are outside the garden, loved it. Once u enter, there is a mini course for the kids to peddle their own carts. So much fun for the kids. They had 2 more rides like the elephant ride and ride. The ferris wheel was not in use when we were in there. They had a festival going on where they had face painting, kids activities, food trucks and ice cream. They have a huge splash pad, changing rooms and washrooms close by. The story book garden had a frog pond, adventure park with trampoline park and a huge pirate ship.

We visited Storybook Gardens recently and it was a fun day out with the kids. They charge $9 per person for entry, and inside they have a few rides, a splash pad, some shows, and nice pond lookout areas. It’s definitely a good spot for kids to spend the whole day running around and enjoying themselves. They charge $3 per ride ticket, and most rides need one ticket. The Ferris wheel needs two tickets for adults. They also offer an all-day unlimited rides pass for $15, but honestly, I don’t think it’s worth it at that price. Maybe if it were $10, it would feel like a better deal. Some of the rides include a carousel, elephant ride, Ferris wheel, swing, and a mini train. Sadly, the Ferris wheel and elephant ride weren’t working when we went, which was a bit disappointing. It would be great if they had a deal like 10 ride tickets for $15 to make it more budget-friendly for families. The splash pad wasn’t amazing, but it was enough for the kids to have some fun and cool off a bit. Overall, it’s a nice place for a one-time visit, especially if you have young kids. But if they lowered the entry fee to around $5 and made ride tickets a bit more affordable, I think more families would visit more often.

Truly magical! My daughter made enchanting memories. See photos for details of what they have (plus a splash pad). Definitely worth the drive there.

LOVE this place. This is such a cute park for toddlers and young ones especially. The splash pad is huge and I had a hard time convincing my kid to come out to do other things like the rides, small village play area and face painting. We were here for a few hours and still didn't manage to do everything. There are some fun play structures for older kids too. The rides are pretty simple but fun for kids. They had a little race track with bikes and toddler cars that the kids adored too. We will definitely be back. This place is over an hour drive from home for us but we loved it. There are seating areas to eat and you can bring your own food or purchase some from the few vendor areas.

Fun spot for a family day! The kids loved the splash pad and playground, and the little rides were a hit. Some areas feel a bit old and could use a refresh, but overall it’s a cute place to spend a few hours. Prices are fair, parking is easy, and there’s plenty to keep the kids happy

A Magical Day at Storybook Gardens We visited Storybook Gardens today with my girls, and it was truly a magical experience from start to finish. I honestly can't believe this beautiful park has been so close to us all this time—and we never knew about it! From the moment you step through the castle doors, it feels like you’ve entered a storybook world. The kids were absolutely mesmerized. There’s an incredible amount to see and do. The park is filled with charming attractions—rides, multiple playgrounds, pedal cars, a refreshing splash pad, and even adorable miniature villages. Along the way, there are fun photo ops with beloved storybook characters like Moby Dick, Humpty Dumpty, and the Cheshire Cat, which added so much whimsy and excitement for the little ones. What really impressed me as a parent/grandparent was how family-friendly the entire park is. There are plenty of shaded rest areas, lots of seating, and the washrooms were clean and easy to find. For lunch, we enjoyed grilled paninis (which were delicious!) from the on-site café. Overall, I’d highly recommend Storybook Gardens for a fun, affordable, and memorable family outing. Whether you're visiting with your kids or grandkids, it’s a fantastic place to spend the day making lasting memories.

So much fun and soany memories flood backbin here. Things have changed over the years but still an awesome place for family to spend time to get her and having fun. Came here a couple times as a kid myself and now shared Storybook with my youngest 13 yr old daughter. She enjoyed the Gardens emensly! Thanks for having us. Hope to come back again.

Great place for kids! We were here for the first time and spent almost all day there. There are 5 attractions that you have to pay extra for riding on them. Attractions old but still fun for kids. We bought unlimited riding bracelets for our kids and it was great decisions! If you don't want to pay extra for the rides there are still lots to do in the park: jumping pillow, cars rides, splash pad, shows, 3 great playgrounds - for all of these you don't need to pay! Also you have to know that if would be rainy day the train would not work!

Springbank Park is a vast and picturesque park located along the Thames River in London. It spans nearly 350 acres and offers a variety of attractions, including 30 kilometers of trails, picnic areas, soccer fields, and Storybook Gardens. The park features well-maintained pathways that run alongside the wide river, providing scenic views over the water. With its mix of pleasant gardens and unspoiled wilderness, it's a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities.
I love Spring Bank Garden. One side has a free Wading pool that opens at the end of June and also a beautiful play structure for kids to run back and forth from the pool. Park has a nice soccer field. The other side has a story book garden where u get a ticket to go in and enjoy a fairytale garden with a beautiful splash-pad and a mini water slide. The park has bar b Q stoves that u have to book in advance as told by a worker there.

Beautiful weekend, park and trails were full of bikers, joggers, walkers, people with thier fur babies. We traveled with our RV., and stopped to have a barbq. Park is well groomed and maintained to perfection. A must spot to stop and enjoy the day with your family.

this is a great Park to bring your kids to. There is a very current up-to-date climbing equipment along with a splash pad. The Pats are well maintained although they can get busy at times. The smell of the river isn't that bad if you stay far enough away. There are ample public washrooms that are extremely clean and well-maintained.
Jay B — Google review
The park is spectacular right now with a superb display of blooming spring flowers and giant blossoming trees. Bring the family and friends for some magnificent photo opportunities. A walk through the Graham Arboretum section will definitely put a smile on your faces. There are about 20 kms of paved multi- purpose trails with some parking immediately adjacent to the paths which makes this one of the most accessible parks in London. The signage is clearly marked and it provides excellent information about the nearest public restrooms, picnic areas, and attractions. The long bridge across the Thames River offers wonderful views and beautiful photo opportunities. The ancient willow trees along the shoreline pathway are fantastic. There is a long staircase from the upper parking lot off of Springbank Drive but the lower park can also be accessed by the paved roadway at the end of the parking area.

Good for walking around the park! It's more like a park for nature sightseeing, so most people come here for picnics and relaxation. I got to see a lot of squirrels as well. The squirrels were really friendly (they even stood up to greet me as well).

Very nice park. In the fall, a variety of colors. The river I think is suitable for rafting, the current is decent. Ducks and geese walking on all lawns and paths leave a lot of surprises))) it's a little uncomfortable. .the child liked it, a large area for running and walking. There are many barbecue areas.

We came all the way from Hamilton with 20 of our friends and family to celebrate my child’s 4th birthday in port Stanley in order to ride the train! It was every penny, moment, and effort worth it. The conductors and ram made it so, so special for him. Shouting him out over the loud speaker. We rented the birthday car! Everything was very organized and ran on time. The tour guide announcements were super interesting, and the little walk around exploration of some old train cars at the pit-stop was perfect. This activity was a hit for the children aged 0-11 in our group. Lifelong memories were made! Thank you all so much!

Port Stanley Terminal Rail is an absolutely gorgeous piece of history. The train conductors are very friendly. They not only ensure your safety but give out a full history lesson on how the rail head evolved. My family and myself enjoyed the 1 hour ride on this train. This trip is highly recommended.

Port Stanley Beach is a picturesque spot located on the shores of Lake Erie in Ontario. The area boasts a charming village feel with century-old houses and a bustling marina. It's popular among windsurfers and sailors, offering a boat ramp at the southern end of Main Beach. Visitors can enjoy two clean beaches, one wide and one small, both perfect for families seeking a friendly environment.
Port Stanley is a hidden gem on Lake Erie that completely exceeded my expectations. The beach is clean, spacious, and has that soft, golden sand that makes you want to stay all day. The water was surprisingly warm and perfect for swimming. The town itself has such a laid-back, welcoming vibe — from the cute boutiques and ice cream shops to the fantastic local restaurants. We had an amazing meal with a view of the harbor, watching boats come and go. The Port Stanley Terminal Rail was a fun and nostalgic ride that added to the charm. It’s the kind of place where time slows down a little, and you can just relax. Great for a weekend getaway or even a day trip. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a small-town escape with big personality!

Port Stanley Beach is a hidden gem! The beach is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing day trip. The water was calm and great for swimming, especially for families with kids. Plenty of space to lay out, enjoy the sun, or take a walk along the shore. The nearby restaurants and cute little shops add a nice touch to the experience. Parking was easy compared to other busy beaches. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Over the weekend, I took a trip to the London/Kitchener area and explored some charming small towns along the way. I stopped in St. Thomas and Port Stanley, treating myself to Shaw’s Ice Cream before heading to Port Stanley Beach. I soaked up the sunshine, enjoyed the breeze, and cooled off with that sweet, creamy treat.

Port Stanley Beach is a gem along Ontario’s Lake Erie shoreline, offering soft sand, clear waters, and a charming small-town vibe. The beach itself is perfect for families, sunbathers, and water sports enthusiasts, with ample space to relax and enjoy the scenic views. The nearby shops and restaurants add to the appeal, making it a great day-trip destination. However, the experience is marred by the overzealous parking enforcement. The officers are relentless, issuing tickets for even a minute’s overstay or minor infractions. It feels like they’re more focused on revenue than fairness. Worse, if you try to contest a ticket or explain your situation, you’re met with robotic responses and no human empathy—good luck finding someone willing to listen. This draconian approach to parking detracts from an otherwise delightful beach visit.

It's an okay beach, there are a lot of sticks and stone, semi convenient parking, you do have to pay. The pear is nice, there is a sitting area; Didn't go into the water, but it seems good, and there is lots of space. Beutiful view over the water. It's worth going to if you're close, Its very much a tourist town, but it's cute, it looks nice, and it seemed clean, worth a walk or two.

I would give 10 stars at least!! Loved my first experience in Petrolia and at this gorgeous theatre attending the opening show of Sweet Soul Music on July 6th. Oh my goodness! Another amazing, soul uplifting and magical creation by the uber-talented Mark Payne whom I had first seen at The Crooner in St Jacob Village in 2023 and which I LOVED! Do attend this "hit parade" of toe tapping and singing hits from the 60s and more! Justin was brilliant, fun and charismatic as the lead singer and our host; his voice was so versatile and perfect for the different songs sung. I especially loved his singing the Stevie Wonder songs and how he engaged with the audience. His girls/ladies, Maddy, Imaari and Olivia were gorgeous, talented, as a trio and individually. I loved the fact that they were each spotlighted with their own songs which had been perfectly selected for their voices. Olivia's VPP debut was super sweet and memorable; I could see and feel her gratitude from being on stage from where I sat and I was super excited and proud of her! I look forward to seeing where she and the rest of the artists will go next! The Starbright band was super talented and such a joy to see and hear. Loved seeing Mark sing and have so much fun with everyone. The atmosphere in the theatre was fun, positive and the energy was super high! Thank you to David Hogan for the brilliant direction and choreography. I sat in the first row of the balcony and it was fine for me but if you are tall or are afraid of heights, that row would not be right for you. Staff at the theatre was friendly and the butter tart I tried at intermission was delicious! Do go see this Fun and Fabulous show before it is gone....You will have the Best time, guaranteed! Thank you to Marlon for speaking with me after the show - another fan girl and arts lover magical moment for me! ❤️🎉

I have have been coming to the Victoria Playhouse since 2000 and during the last 10 years I have been coming with 14 to 16 friends and every year more friends want to come because the musicals are absolutely tremendous, fun, visually attractive and the voices are equally great. I credit David for producing such amazing productions. We thoroughly enjoyed Rockin' the 50's and we are coming again to see the Abba musical. Keep up the great work and I would love to see Million Dollar Quartet next year. Worth every mile of the drive from the Detroit area. Thanks for the enjoyment.

First time there. Quaint old house. Sound system very good. Could here the play clearly. Had seat in the balcony. Only problem was that the washrooms were in the basement. Nestled along the banks of the St. Clair River, Algonac State Park is a stunning destination that spans over 1,000 acres and showcases rare oak savannahs. This park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts year-round, offering excellent camping opportunities alongside picturesque views of river freighters gliding by. Fishing draws many visitors eager to enjoy quality time in nature, while hiking trails and cross-country skiing provide adventure seekers with plenty of options to explore the scenic landscape.
First time here and they just got done fixing it up and putting in more full hook up sites. We went mid April ao the water wasn't turned on yet but you could fill up at the front. There was nobody at the booth so you just checked in with the yellow phone. It was beautiful watching the boats go by. Not a lot of tree cover so it probably gets hot in the summer and if you have small children I wouldn't get a site right next to the river since it's a super busy road and not a fence that will keep kids in. We will definitely be back to this park.
Alicia C — Google review
Awesome state park with lots of privacy and cool views of the freighters going down the river. We stayed in the wagon wheel part of the campground and it was nice with every lot having a pretty level asphalt pad to park on. Some of the spots are a little tight with all the trees around but nothing too crazy just might have to ask your neighbors to move their trucks. The bathrooms were older and outdated but fairly clean and well stocked for the most part. The front area of the campground would be a nice part as well but it’s a lot more like a crowded parking lot. We liked the wagon wheel because there lots were so private.
Nathan W — Google review
We camped in algonac state park, it was beautiful. Great campground with fun views of the St. Clair River. Check-in was easy and park is well kept. Playgrounds are very small (swings and a slide), but there is an amazing bike path which does lead to a big playground and dog park. Highly recommend bringing bikes. There are also lots of picnic spots with a large field to play, horse shoe, and corn hole. Dump stations were probably the best we ever experienced with 4 stations and all equipment you would need without having to unpack your own including a sewer hose already attached to the drain, water hose, and a bucket for filling with water.
Aubrey P — Google review
Algonac state park sites 213 (fifth wheel) 214(travel trailer) and 215 (empty) 216 is also empty in the background of 215 so dont go thinking it is just a massive site lol As the state website says, yes on 214 we did need an additional hose, luckily we heeded the warning and were prepared. As a side note, a fair amount of the lot is located on the slide out side of the camper. Not bad for setting up and at least there isn't an obstacle blocking things but it does make the site feel smaller than other state parks once in place because it has a lot of wasted space on that side. Still plenty of room on the awning side to be comfortable but I thought it was worth noting for informational purposes. Also the sewer setup is new and I am happy to say that the opening for the sewer connection is well below the level of the trailer so that it drains properly (unlike the last full setup we had at a non state park site). For sure, 214 in particular, the parking pad is nice and level but it has a significant drop off to the lawn area of the site. Our 3 step unit is usually set quite short as our trailer does not sit insanely high off the ground. At this site our legs are fully extended and we had to put some 1 inch pads under the stair legs in order to get them to sit nicely. Still fits but the bottom step is a bit taller than most would like it to be, especially for someone with mobility issues (like my parents in the fifth wheel next door.). None of this is meant to be a complaint, purely informational. Overall the site is beautiful, the agent at check in was personable, we had no trouble getting in our space (though there is a tree that goes right up against the back of the parking pad on 214 and it meant there was not enough room to park our truck in front of our trailer which is 30 feet from tip to tail.). The view of the water from these sites isn't amazing but it is there. If you are desperate to see the ships go by it can be done from the site or a short walk down the street leaves a decent view as well. This page warned us of bugs at this park this year but so far it has not been bad. Just a few gnats flying around at dusk, but there are a lot of ants it seems. Still overall I highly recommend this park and these sites are pretty solid all around. (P.s. of all these three sites, 214 is the only one with no natural shade at any point during the day). Also the shooting range is perfectly adequate and exceeded expectations. But still is far enough away from the campsites that it does not disturb anyone. P.P.S. the cell phone service signal coverage area is fantastic. I am sitting on my site right now and have 2 to 3 bars of 5g Verizon service.
Jessie B — Google review
I cant really find any negatives. Will be coming back next year. I guess if you dont like guns or gun noise there is a shooting range here that you can hear from time to time. Fun to watch freighter go by on the river.
Joe P — Google review
Great place to camp with the family. Seeing the boats was absolutely amazing for the first time. They were HUGE. We will definitely be coming back
Nick K — Google review
Great place to watch freighter. Campground is clean and well maintained, although they could do with fill dirt in many of the camp sites. We had a pretty good pot hole in our site. Another had a small standing puddle after a rain and several other sites had potholes as well.

Really enjoyed watching the ships come and go. Site was level, bathroom and dump station were newly updated.

The first time I came to the DIA I was suprised to see they had a native American wing. Michigan is home to a few tribes. Was bummed to see nothing about the local tribes there. I asked a docent " you have so many local tribes one being the largest remaining tribe in the united states and there is no mention of them " is there some reason why? I know most museums repatriated a lot so injust said i think your really missing out on showcasing the art of the ojiibwe the rest of the annishinabeeg tribes. Some ofntheor art and embroidery is stunning. That was in 2023. 2025 im on public radio and I hear your opening an exhibit of a contemporary indigenous ojibwe artist? Wow. That's really cool im impressed. I love the DIA but now I really dig ya! Keep on getting better and giving me good reasons to come in. By the way their open sketch is way cool! Thank you DIA your one of a thousand reasons ill never move out of this city!

Beautiful building filled with great art and historic artifacts. Only spent 3 hours in there so I didn't get the chance To explore the whole thing, it's definitely worth another trip or 2 to really take everything in. The Cafe was super busy by the time I got hungry so I skipped it but it looks like a nice relaxing courtyard to take a break in if you're planning on spending the whole day there. The Diego Rivera mural is truly a masterpiece. Shout out the lovely Michelle at the front desk!!!

It was a dream of mine to visit this museum one day. I finally got the opportunity while visiting the University of Michigan and had some hours to kill while waiting for my flight. The access was very quick and the staff gladly took out carry on luggage and bags at the cost check so we could visit the place, something other museums don’t usually do. The place was even more magnificent than I imagined and crowds were light on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The store is also worth noting, since I collect museum catalogues I purchased one and was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices, compared to New York or Paris, where you can find world-class museums such as this one.

Workshops, preformacnes, two delicious places to eat, and an amazing gift shop that is its own art gallery. So much fun, I cant wait to go back.

Exceeded expectations! A very cool collection. Spent a few hours there. I especially liked the boards they had up near some of the paintings explaining what you're looking at. If limited on time I'd start on floor 2, then do floor 3, then 1. Great vibes! 20$ per person. Wayne County residents are free with ID. Bought tickets there. Parking was 8 $ nearby.

Visited with my mom and had a great time. She uses a wheelchair and we didn't have any difficulty getting around the building. The docents were extremely helpful and friendly. This museum has one of the best collections of the old masters in the Midwest. Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian, plus Holbein and Van Eyck. The Impressionist and modern art were mostly off view due to current renovations. So we will have to come back for sure! Even without everything on display, the museum is well worth the visit.

Comerica Park, the vibrant home of the Detroit Tigers since 2000, is a must-visit destination for baseball fans and food lovers alike. Nestled in Downtown Detroit, right across from the iconic Fox Theatre, this stadium boasts unique features like impressive tiger statues and a charming 50-foot Ferris wheel. The diverse food court offers an array of delicious options—from classic Detroit-style pizza to mouthwatering hamburgers and international flavors that cater to every palate.
Loved experiencing a baseball game here. Lots of restaurants and things to see around the park and less than a 10 minute drive to the tunnel if you're coming from Canada. The park itself had so many neat features from the noteworthy tiger statues to the carousel right in the middle of the food court. Seats were great and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be coming back for a ball game here.

Tigers game!! Comerica Park is a great place to take in a baseball game with something for everyone. There is a carousel and Ferris wheel for kids and those young at heart. There are plenty of bars for the over 21 crowd. It is an airy stadium that managed to stay cool in the shade despite a very warm Detroit day. Sight lines are great from every seat. They have a newer type of netting for fan protection that is more transparent and less obstructive of viewing the game. 100% recommend!
Hagz — Google review
Great experience and view, while waiting for the game to start I recommend going to the Farris wheel. The seats inside the stadium are very comfortable and quality. The food is great, especially the hotdogs. Overall I recommend going and buy tickets in advance.

Hadn't been in about 3 years and my bf had never been! The baseball ferris wheel was a lot of fun at only 2 dollars! I wish it had a better view / view of the field ideally. There's so much to do outside of watching the game. Come prepared to over spend on food. We payed 6 dollars for bottled water. We went on August 23rd. The tigers played against the KC royals and won 4-2! Great game to watch! Go tigers!!!!🐯

The stadium is fabulous the food was great . It had everything for everyone. Young ,old and in between. There is a ferris wheel 🎡 and a merry-go-round in the stadium. The BBQ is some of the best i have had at a baseball park . Seats were spaced out right for a comfortable rest as you watched the game .

Comerica Park truly stands out as one of the best ballparks in the country, offering an incredible experience from the moment you arrive. Getting in and out of the park is remarkably easy, with clear signage and efficient security checks that keep lines moving smoothly. Once inside, navigating the wide, open concourses to find your seats is a breeze, even for first-time visitors. The design of the park ensures that almost every seat offers fantastic views of the action, whether you're behind home plate or in the outfield. It's a truly fan-friendly environment that makes attending a game a stress-free and enjoyable outing. But what truly elevates Comerica Park is its culinary scene. Forget typical ballpark fare; here, the concessions are a gourmet delight! You'll find an impressive array of options, from local Detroit favorites like National Coney Island and Slows Bar BQ, offering delicious sandwiches and mac & cheese, to fresh Smashburgers and a variety of Mediterranean selections. The craft beer selection is equally impressive, featuring a fantastic range of local Michigan brews alongside popular national brands. Whether you're craving a classic hot dog or a more elevated dining experience, Comerica Park has something to satisfy every palate, making it a true foodie destination within the world of baseball stadiums.

Great seats, friendly staff, and an coverall great experience! We had family in town from out of state and they wanted to see the Tigers play. We were able to secure some tickets on the first baseline about a week before the game. We enjoyed showing them Tigers stadium and downtown Detroit for the first time. It was unbearably hot, but the Tigers won! Cant wait to go back.

Italian restaurant
Andiamo Detroit Riverfront is an upscale Italian bistro with a sophisticated atmosphere and stunning views of the river. It is part of an award-winning chain known for its dedication to using high-quality ingredients in authentic northern Italian cuisine. The restaurant offers connections to nearby entertainment, including shuttles to event venues and dinner and ticket packages at discounted rates. Andiamo also hosts special events like plated Easter dinners and buffet brunches at various locations.
Andiamo did not disappoint! I celebrated my birthday here and everything from the ambiance to the flavors was on point. I sat outside on the patio overlooking the Detroit River and…whew. Beautiful views, great weather, and even better food. I can’t remember the exact names of the dishes, but just know that every plate hit! That pasta with the fresh crab and tomatoes? Chef's kiss. The other dish had sausage in a pesto sauce that was straight up good. And don’t even get me started on the birthday dessert. Simple, classy, and delicious! Service was kind and attentive, the food came out hot and flavorful, and the whole experience just felt special. Detroit has gems, and this is one of them. Thank you for making my 35th birthday special.

This is Quite a Gem in the Travels that I have found. It was a fine Thursday evening with jazz music in the background. It was quaint with all the nice furniture that shown excellence even in the wait staff Very professional top notch and very attentive like I was in a really nice steakhouse. I did sit at the bar and Julia (I think that’s what I remember) was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of and the Italian food was so delicious as I had the pepper chicken with angel hair pasta in a nice creme sauce. It came with soup. I had dessert to end my meal off with a mocha cheesecake to die for!

We had a group of 12 of us that went in for dinner before a show at the Fox Theatre. It was fairly easy to get reservations of that size which was lovely. Andiamo’s is located inside the Renaissance center. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with the view of Canada across the river. It gives off elegant, high-end restaurant vibes. Frankee and Ahmed were our servers. They did a wonderful job with recommendations. I went in with one flavor in mind and ended up picking one of the specials instead, based on Frankee’s recommendation. Instead of Bolognese lasagna, I got a delicious lobster tail, scallops, shrimp with a side of the best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was cooked perfectly with delicious flavors and tenderness as you expect with seafood. I’ve been to a couple other locations and in my opinion, this one was the best so far. Every single person at our table was raving about their food and how nice the place was. Highly recommending this for groups, date, nights, and anything in between.

An evening at Andiamo Detroit Riverfront unfolds like a well-rehearsed symphony. Each course, each detail, paced with poise, evoking both comfort and craft. Nestled within the glass-lined expanse of the Renaissance Center’s Wintergarden, the restaurant commands a rare perspective. Detroit’s city lights shimmer across the river, with Windsor just a breath away. It is a setting that feels cinematic, the sort of view one leans into between courses, glass in hand. The meal began with Gamberetti di Andiamo, a composition of colossal shrimp, tender yet assertively seared, bathed in a lemon-tomato broth fragrant with white wine, garlic, and softened leeks. The toasted sourdough, given more than a passing thought, offered a rustic foil to the bright, aromatic sauce. A dish that plays to both northern restraint and southern exuberance in equal measure. Bread service, often overlooked elsewhere, here became something of a ceremony. Warm breads and crispy sticks accompanied by a vibrant olive oil infusion punched up with garlic, cracked pepper, and herbs just bruised enough to release their oils. It set a generous tone, one that carried forward throughout the meal. The house salad was a quiet triumph of simplicity. Crisp field greens, ribbons of carrot, cool garbanzo beans, cucumber, and tomato, all pulled together by a creamy garlic dressing that whispered rather than shouted. Pasta e Fagioli arrived humble in presentation but deeply rooted in flavor. White beans, sausage, and greens melding into a rustic, soul-warming broth. It is the sort of dish that could just as easily have come from a grandmother’s kitchen in Emilia-Romagna as from a polished kitchen in downtown Detroit. The centerpiece, a ten-ounce filet cooked precisely to medium, was as well-executed as any steakhouse might promise. Elevated here by its companions, tender scallops, a meaty portobello cap, fingerling potatoes roasted just to the edge of crisp, and asparagus kissed by heat until its bitterness mellowed into something sweet and green. Dessert was a restrained finish. A tart raspberry sorbet, bright and palate-cleansing, followed by a cappuccino of admirable structure. Dense crema, deeply roasted notes, and no trace of bitterness. The detail that sealed it was almost whispered into the experience. A delicate stick of rock candy offered as a stirrer. It was not just charming. It was considered. The sort of flourish that speaks not to trend, but to tradition and intention. Service, too, deserves its due. Mike H, my server, struck that delicate balance between discretion and attentiveness. His recommendations were unforced and well-considered, and his timing impeccable. Never rushed, never distant. Andiamo Riverfront is no stranger to high expectations, bearing the name and pedigree of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group. But it is not merely riding on legacy. This is a restaurant that still believes in the ceremony of dining, an ethos built not just on what is on the plate, but how it is offered. The result is something rare, a meal that does not just satisfy, but stays with you. Many thanks to Frank Knox for the recommendation.

The Motown Museum, located in Detroit, is a renowned landmark and a must-visit for music enthusiasts. It was the birthplace of Motown and played a pivotal role in launching the careers of legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Smokey Robinson, and many more. The museum preserves the '60s charm of Hitsville USA and features Studio A where iconic music that transformed American culture was created.
I literally couldn’t tell you the awe I was in finally going here. I absolutely love and adore soul and blues, and coming here myself (despite the location being local) was in the works for a long time. Firstly, phenomenal museum; I recommend getting your tickets in advance and then showing up for your tour. The tour is lead by one person usually, and you’re in a larger group. So there’s really no pressure to the visit. You’ll learn some neat little facts about Motown Records and see some of the coolest memorabilia ever. You walk in the studios, basically as they were during the peak of Motowns musical presence in Detroit. If you’re reluctant to go, don’t be! Genuinely one of the best hours spent.

This is MOTOWN so there's not much to say because the history speaks for itself. To see and hear about the history in person was a great experience. There are plenty of facts to learn about Motown that will surprise you. To see the original items and hear the back stories is captivating. Viewing the wall with the album covers was interesting because I still have 11 of those albums. The staff was courteous and friendly. The tour guide kept you informed and interested throughout the tour. They are in the process of expanding, so it will become even more intriguing.

So I really wanted to give this place five stars however be aware that it is a very short tour and when they have accomplished their new building I am sure I will be coming back to edit. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and we definitely learned a lot. My aunt who I was there with is high functioning autistic so people sometimes dont notice and I felt like the tour guide was a little short with her. The tour I believe last less than hour and the end of it getting to walk through such an iconic studio is very cool. The gift shop is well stocked and what made this place was the knowledge of the tour guide. I feel that with out her I would have not really learned much and as I said even though she was a little short with my Aunt I will not take away from her knowledge, her enthusiam, and cadence was superb.

Pure history! highly recommended. By tickets in advance is a MUST. In 2024 i tried to walked-in 4 tickets and they were sold out!. This year 2025 i got my tickets in advance through the web site and it was easy and affordable. There are guided tours only but they give you enough time and space to walk around, enjoy the exhibits and take pictures. No videos allowed. Street park and highly get the app before your arrial time, i had luck and found a free parking spot in a nerby street. You can feel the history in this walls, it is an amazing life experience. I dont recall the name of my guide but he was so easy going, fun, entretained, the best.

Absolutely essential to visit. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. And a performer in the best possible way. Thought we knew alot but learned so much more! Also. A woman on our tour had worked there in the early 1970s. This was her first return... 2025!

Such a historical beauty! The neighborhood is well maintained. While we did not go inside, the grounds were manicured and the staff appeared to be engaged with the customers in a positive way. Side street parking is available, but there may be a short walk on a busy day. Do not park in the funeral home parking lot next door. I admire the work being put into maintaining this historical gem.

I did the tour and it was very interesting. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun. The history was amazing and hearing the stories brought the place to life. The grounds were well kept and really made you feel the vibe of Motown. I learned so much and would highly recommend the tour.

The hotel also boasts bars and restaurants including Neros Steakhouse and Vegas-style nightclub Ariius.
I rarely ever take the time to leave reviews.. but I must share I stayed here with family & we had an amazing experience at Caesars Windsor thanks to Neha at the front desk. She was incredibly professional, kind, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and welcoming. Even during busy times, Neha handled everything with grace, efficiency, and a smile. As a QSR franchisee myself.. she truly stands out as one of the best hospitality professionals I’ve ever encountered!!! Caesars is lucky to have her we will definitely be back

Absolutely love this place. It's an amazing experience every single time. It's not really family friendly because the pool and most restaurants are in the 19+ tower. There is a great variety of restaurants and casino games. The dealers are welcoming and fun to be around. The rooms are beautiful. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful at all times. I will 100% be returning to this location for future vacations. I recommend asking for the river view.

“I had a great stay at the casino! The room was big, clean, and very comfortable. The service was really, really good from start to finish. The food was delicious, definitely a highlight of the trip. It was also cool traveling to Canada to get there — no wait at the bridge at all. Didn’t have much luck winning, but I still enjoyed my stay overall. I’d happily come back!”

Nice casino, friendly staff. The have a very nice selection of slots and card games. No smoking, but have heated smoking area. Better than MGM in Detroit. Although if you’re looking for a casino to smoke in go to the Hollywood in Detroit. Caesar’s had good food and restaurant selections. My wife and I had a great time. Would recommend stopping in and having a good time.

We got married in the Augustus 27 in May 2025 (ceremony and reception). Can't recommend this venue enough, the view, food, drinks, hotel rooms and everything in between was amazing. Truly the best view in the city, especially at night. The onsite coordinator (Jennifer) makes planning with vendors really seamless. All the staff we encountered were lovely (special shoutout to Ramona and our bartenders night of). We got many compliments from guests on the venue and the convenience of staying at the casino. We are so happy we booked it. Thank you to the team for giving us our dream wedding!

We had the immense displeasure of staying at this hotel over the weekend for a wedding. The parking is a mess. The room walls are paper thin, and so we were forced to listen to men violently expell their insides both nights we stayed. There are minimal amenities on the Augustus tower for families, with apparently no access to a family friendly pool or non-dinner food establishments. Their Tim Hortons is on the Adults Only side, which allowed no access for the children. Granted that oversight was on the Wedding organizers for planning a wedding at a Mainly adults only hotel. The valet attendents are incredibly rude and damaged my vehicle while it was in their care. They claim it was just "wear and tear" and they aren't responsible for damages because the valet attendant "didn't maliciously cause the damage" since he didn't "punch the buttons" when he was using my vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous and wildly inappropriate customer service. The only thing I could POSSIBLY say was nice about this hotel was the riverside rooms had a nice view.

I rented a room on a weekday during home renovations. To my surprise, the room was 330/night including resort fees, although we have players cards. The shower had moldy corners and the bathroom door had dirty finger prints on it that haven’t been wiped in months. I left the room an hour after check in because it was disgustingly dirty. On a subsequent visit I valet parked, and when I picked up my car, both front seats were moved from the original position and there was a strong spray odour in the car. I called management and reported that I am allergic to fragrances and complained about it. Spoke to five unhelpful people. Finally, one ‘manager’ told me that they checked surveillance, and that no one smoked or sprayed anything in my car. Can’t believe I paid $45 for parking (including tips) just to get sick in my own car. Both my mom and I smelled it and noticed the seats. Two extremely disappointing experiences and managers who do not take any responsibility. You can do better than that!

Our stay at Caesars Windsor. It was a very relaxing Wasn’t the overly rush, rush around of a typical Las Vegas casino. The staff for the most part was very friendly. The best part of our trip was at Nero’s steakhouse, the food and service were fantastic. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if Jennifer T is behind the bar. She has a pretty good following of regular customers with some fun and great stories. Being from NH celebrating our anniversary it was a delightful experience!

What a fun discovery. Lots of history, trails, and places to enjoy being outside. The only restroom I could find was at the library (which is right there). This park is so big! I didn't know they had the nature trails(pics)! It has the historic vibe upfront with the pond and the fake small park look. The forest is amazing with all kinds of growth and overgrowth. Be careful if it's muddy, that stuff is sludge. I can see where it would be wheel chair accessible on the path because it's well maintained, but again, not in the mud. Unless you have the coolest wheelchair in the world.

The gardens feature various themed displays such as the Great Lakes Garden and Bonsai and Penjing Garden. Visitors can explore diverse habitats in the 10,000+ square-foot conservatory which houses a renowned Bonsai Collection.
Very nice botanic gardens. It was like... 6 dollars for parking and entry to the garden was free itself. There were parts of the Botanic Garden which were quite unfinished, but, the overall walk was peaceful and beautiful. It is definitely worth the trip if you're nearby.

Matthaei Botanical Gardens is an absolutely beautiful and magical place, especially if you're into photography. My daughter and I spent 5 hours there (inside and outside) and it felt like no time at all. There is so much to marvel at from familiar native plants to tropical fruit trees to 75+ year-old bonsai trees, hummingbirds, frogs, bees, more flowers than you can count, and the occasional chipmunk. 😁 You can stroll through the building, walk the trails, or just sit on a bench in the flower garden and enjoy the scenery. This place is nothing short of spectacular.

I recently visited Matthaei Botanical Gardens and had a wonderful experience. The conservatory is impressive, with separate sections for tropical, desert, and temperate plants. It feels like stepping into different climates all in one place. The outdoor gardens and trails are peaceful and very well maintained. The children’s garden and prairie area are especially nice for a calm walk or quiet time with family. Parking is convenient, and admission is free, which makes it an easy spot to visit anytime. Overall, this is one of the best places in Ann Arbor to enjoy nature, take a relaxing walk, and explore a wide variety of plants. Highly recommended.

WOW what a beautiful experience!!!!! This place is absolutely magical the bonsai garden is stunning one of them is over 1,000 years old you absolutely must see if you are a bonsai lover !!!!! I went with my fiancé and we both thought it was really cool there were people on site trimming all the bonsai answering any questions we had about our own plants loved that 😗 the gardens themselves extremely wonderful 😍😍😍very well organized each plant labeled which I really enjoyed !! It’s such a peaceful place even with others there you don’t even know it !!☮️they have over 3 miles of trails as well so you know we had to go see that it’s connected to the parking lot of the gardens so it’s very convenient 💖 we didn’t walk deep into the trails because it was very hot out but what we did get to explore let us know want to come back !!! The view of the pond in my photos is one of the pictures from the trails !! If you are looking for something free*** and beautiful to do I suggest putting this place on your list !!!

Great place for some nice nature walks on well marked trails. The wait was to pay for parking as they only have 2 machines...my advice to keep things moving if there's a line is to just pay the max of $6 rather than to try paying for a few hours. Everything else is free to enjoy so $6 for a carload is a pretty good deal!

I'm an alum. The education I received here 10 years ago as an engineer was less than stellar, but this institution has gone even more downhill since then. It's not a university anymore. It's a business. Capitulating to the Trump administration and getting rid of all its DEI initiatives is the final straw. They'll never get a penny from me again. They've completely forgotten that they're supposed to be champions of learning, and a beacon of free speech.

Overhyped school. Sometimes teaching is good, other times it's not. Overwhelming size of the school also makes it really difficult to get to know others and you will likely never get to know any of your professors. Although there are a lot of nice people here too, there are also a good number of people who are rude who will try to act as though they are better than you. Fans can be annoying at times as well. This school isn't exactly a beacon of progress either as they have recently rolled back all their DEI initiatives. Lack of windows in so many of the classrooms will also certainly leave you feeling "blue" (maybe that's what's really meant by "go blue").

The University of Michigan boasts one of the most stunning campuses in the world, offering not only breathtaking surroundings but also a vibrant, supportive community. I couldn't have asked for a better place to call home—both academically and personally. The student vibes and sense of camaraderie made the experience truly unforgettable.

Trying to get an appointment with your doctor is now even a longer process. When I call I need to be evaluated by a nurse before I can make an appointment. You are placed on hold for 3-6 minutes. I usually go to urgent care when sick because it is much easier than trying to get an appt at u of m. I need to look elsewhere for medical care. It’s really a shame because I really like my doctor, but impossible to get in. If I send medical email question, you are charged. Completely out of control. It’s not a pleasant experience.

Great university campus, happy students, friendly and ethnically-diverse atmosphere every time I've visited. Weighted against about ten comparable universities I've spent time around, this is in the top 3. Ann Arbor is a really nice place. :)

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is a vibrant, 4-story space filled with over 250 interactive exhibits designed to engage children in the wonders of science. Housed in a historic firehouse in downtown Ann Arbor for over three decades, this museum has become a hub for science education. Visitors can explore exhibits like The World Around You, The Lyon Country Store, and Michigan Nature, offering immersive experiences that spark curiosity and imagination.
This is such an innovative way of having a museum. My husband and I wanted to bring the kids here for the first time. The bad news is there was an art fair and no parking only $20 parking. That did not kill our vibe. Tickets are $16 a person and under 2 is free. We purchased the tickets and we parked our stroller. The kids walked up the stairs and went into this water room. My son loved it so much. He was squealing and running around. My daughter loved played with the balls and throwing them in the water. Once we were done with this floor, we decided to go up the stairs. We were shocked to see a massive preschool room suitable for ages 4 and under. They have tons of toys for the kids. They had another water station. My kids were dry at first. However, a little boy sprayed water at my son and soaked him as his mom watched and said nothing. This didnt make our experience bad because luckily we had a change of clothes. I only say this to warn you to bring a change of clothes just in case they get wet. We didn't really go to the third floor. My husband said it was more for older kids when he went to check. The kids were having too much fun inside the playroom. We will definitely be back and hopefully not on a day where an event is taking place.

Haven't been here since I was a child myself! Came here for an elementary school field trip and had a great time even as an adult. So much to look at and the kids had a blast. Very well organized with multiple schools and classes there. Friendly staff that did a great job- especially during the lab portion!

I’ve visited the Hands-On Museum in Ann Arbor a couple of times, and each visit has been a fantastic experience! It’s the perfect spot to bring your kids for a fun-filled day of learning through play. The exhibits are interactive, educational, and designed to spark curiosity in science and technology. The environment is welcoming, clean, and family-friendly, with something new to explore around every corner. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, the Hands-On Museum offers an engaging way for children (and adults!) to learn through hands-on discovery. Highly recommend for a weekend outing or school break adventure!

Visted here with the family during the week. Lots of learning experiences with interactive excercises. Kids loved running around trying everything out. Clean and organized for a place that children have their hands on everything. Little shop at the entrance. Vending machines with small sitting area availiable. Staff were super friendly. Will return.

It was the perfect Saturday afternoon for this! The weather was perfect and it was not too busy. My son has an upcoming field trip which apparently im required to accompany him on the bus..however i wanted too feel this out first. The concept is amazing and there really are a ton of interactive mechanical exhibits. Its interesting, very much so. I would not come here more than twice in 1 year though. Tons of kids, running loose. Parents of course but most not paying close attention as they are distracted or tending to other screaming crying children. Its ok here n there if thats your thing but kids running not watching where they are going. Its warm. Theres a small vending area with tables and chairs sitting area. There was a birthday party that was being hosted personally by staff. I suggest they have staff for each "area" to guide children who are so overwhelmed with everything crammed so closely together. It's cute in the firehouse here in Ann Arbor not too much parking..the museum itself... really cramped.. kids are just piling on top of each other, fighting for areas and stations. Pushing shoving no order most no manners 🙄It's like there's only really a few really exciting things to do.Everything seems rather boring unless you're gonna sit there and read it or have it read to you by a tourist guy that's the best way I can explain it. But we had lots of fun as we always do. Hey if you got the $35 and dont mind the drive and have the quality time...meaning put the phones away.. everyone. Quality time counts! Throwing a phone at a child to passify them is lazy. Ayy im not perfect just honest and would like everyone know exactly what to expect. I bought tickets in advance online. Have a wonderful experience. Oh yeah, for children with Autism, they do have light and sound sensory kits available. Its a unique place to each its own.

Took my niece to this children’s museum last weekend and it actually turned out pretty fun. The place has a bunch of hands-on activities that kept her busy for a good couple hours. Some of the exhibits looked a bit older, but everything was clean and the staff were friendly enough. I liked that they had spaces for different age groups, so the little kids weren’t getting run over by the older ones. Parking was easy too, which is always a plus. Overall, it’s not the biggest museum around, but it’s a nice spot to spend a relaxed afternoon with kids.

My dad bought us a family membership here! I LOVE that it includes grandparents! None of our other memberships do! I have a 4yo and 2yo and was worried my 2yo wouldn't have enough to keep him occupied, but there was so much for all ages! They have areas where you can eat, so next time ill pack lunches so we can stay all day!

Sights & Landmarks
The Big House, the historic 110,000-seat football stadium at the University of Michigan, hosted a free Spring scrimmage event that was enjoyable and recommendable. The game was entertaining, and some penalties and calls by referees made it even more amusing. Children were allowed to meet players, get autographs and step onto the field. The stadium is an impressive piece of real estate with a rich history that can be appreciated even by non-Michigan fans. Highly recommended for all visitors!
We were in the area and a Michigan home game was going down the day we were here so my son and I had to visit the Big House and watch the game. It is pretty unbelievable that over 107k people are watching a football game in the stadium with you. In any event seeing a game at Michigan Stadium was an awesome experience!

My buddy and I headed to the Big House on August 30, 2025, for Michigan’s season opener against New Mexico, and it was a blast! The stadium was electric with over 110,000 fans rocking maize and blue, roaring from kickoff to the final whistle. We soaked in the buzz of the night game, watching freshman QB Bryce Underwood sling his first touchdown and Justice Haynes tear it up with three scores. The Wolverines dominated, 34-17, but New Mexico’s trick plays kept us on our toes. Tailgating at the golf course beforehand, swapping stories, and cheering with the crowd made it an unforgettable day at the largest stadium in the country!

Visited "The Big House" for the Zach Bryan concert while it was at max. capacity!! I was surprised there were no long lines for food & drinks because concession wraps around the entire stadium. Also, that goes for the bathroom facilities. It should make you feel safe there was plenty of S.W.A.T & Police everywhere from the stadium to all the intersections.

Michigan's Football Michigan Stadium aka the Big House is an impressive stadium for the 110,000 fans that can fit into the stadium. The Food/Beverage areas, Bathrooms, and other amenities are in the outside walkways that offer all the amenities for the massive crowd. Out the top three biggest stadiums in the Big 10, it's the quietest home crowd, but it's great for watching the game action!

I mean, it's the Big House. Who doesn't love watching their favorite college team with 110k+ of your best friends. The atmosphere is amazing, the people are kind, they sell high noon (and let libations). The food choices are plentiful but it is a LARGE stadium. So be prepared to walk. Cashless venue, as are almost all of them these days. Buy a ticket, get there early, talk to people, and have a great time!

Hands down the biggest facility I have ever been to. Parking was pretty simple and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Seating was pretty easy to navigate as well as concessions. Was there for the largest ticketed music event in history ( Zac Brian with John Mayer). It was amazing.

The absolute best! The big house never fails! They sell alcohol now, so it isn't just yummy foods, but now many drink. All in good fun - Go Blue! ❤️ A true alumni. Advice, bring a stadium pillow for your booty! 😊
