Via Ferrata du Diable in Parc national du Mont-Tremblant offers an exhilarating mountain adventure, where you'll traverse the cliffside secured to steel cables and cross bridges over the Diable River. The experience is a blend of hiking and rock climbing, providing breathtaking views of the river below. The intermediate route features additional elements like bridges and planks, culminating in a stunning panoramic view at the top.
It was an incredible experience! The views were amazing and the excursion was truly enjoyable thanks to Jeanne Francoise who is an incredible guide 😃
Judith — Google review
This was my first time doing the Via Ferrata... and while my hands were sweating profusely out of fear, I felt very safe climbing the course. The views were amazing, and the medium course was a reasonable price for the experience.
Kevin H — Google review
Amazing experience. Could be scary if you're afraid of heights, but the action of clipping in/out repeatedly as you move up really keeps you focused. Recommended and I'll try the advanced segment next time.
R G — Google review
I did find the easy version challenging being short and a senior, but my guide Xavier was very supportive and I did the course. It was my first experience at rock climbing, it was a gorgeous day and we had beautiful views.
S E — Google review
Awesome! Quite honestly, the Grand Viree was more technically and physically demanding than we anticipated but in a good way. For two reasonably active fellas in our 50s, it gave us the new, authentic experience we were looking for. Certainly, do not attempt if you have any fear of heights. Otherwise, it is a very well constructed course, and there are no compromises on safety. Our guide, Sophie, was very attentive and excellent at talking us through any trickier sections. Go for it!
Jason P — Google review
My girlfriend signed us up for this Via Ferrata and she had in mind we would go through the beginner/intermediary sections of the via. We ended up going all the way to the advanced section that really was a stretch for her, pushing her limits. It was very challenging at times and we had horrendous rainy weather throughout the 5 hours we spent there. The rain also made the climbing conditions a lot more challenging making all the surfaces slippery. We ended up completely drenched to our underwear but the satisfaction of completing this challenging circuit made it all worth it. If you're afraid of heights, the advanced section will probably not be for you. The via ferrata takes you alongside a vertical rock face several hundred feet above the ground. It also takes you on steel rope bridges and platforms that will test your courage. The views on the other hand were absolutely spectacular; we would have hoped for a clearer weather as the clouds were rather low on that day, but still! The fog occasionally dissipated and we were able to enjoy magnificent points of view. Guides take you through all the necessary safety measures for a safe experience and are always here to help. We had a blast and if this is your kind of fun, I would strongly recommend you try it out!
Mathias R — Google review
We did the grand viree - the longest trek and had a blast. The guide (Daniel) was entertaining, knowledgeable, and helpful, and you certainly get some adrenaline going at points. The safety briefing and instruction is short and to the point and the guide was as helpful (if you are timid) or hands off as you like which is great! I have almost no formal climbing experience, though am not afraid of heights for what it's worth.

Fun & Games
Nestled in a contemporary lodge with an alpine-style exterior, Casino de Mont-Tremblant offers a unique après-ski experience. The casino features table games, slots, live shows, two bars, and a restaurant known for its creative dishes and stunning mountain views. Located just a 5-minute drive from Mont Tremblant Resort, it's the perfect place to escape the cold and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
The casino is nice, it's not too crowded compared to the one in Montreal. They offer free soft drinks and coffee. Also, free parking, gondola and shuttle service from the resort is nice. Tons of slots machines at various prices with a couple of Poker and roulette tables. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.
Chuong N — Google review
We visit every summer. It's pretty and relaxing. We enjoyed the Sommet des Neiges this year.
Irina M — Google review
The casino itself was amazing because of how spacious it was. It has two floors, which was very nice. I was expecting it to be smaller, but it turned out to be the perfect size. Another great feature is the free shuttle service for hotel guests, which takes you to and from the casino. This was both convenient and very helpful.
Leon G — Google review
Stopped by the casino for a little fun — didn’t win anything this time, but still had a good experience! I signed up for a player’s card and got $15 in free play plus some vouchers, which was a nice surprise and definitely made it worth checking out. Grabbed a soda and a coffee while I was there — nothing fancy, but hit the spot. The real bonus was the view — absolutely stunning with all the fall colours in full display. You really can’t beat the scenery. It wasn’t busy at all during my visit, which I appreciated since it’s a pretty small casino. Great little spot to relax for an hour or two. Would visit again, especially for the perks and the peaceful atmosphere.

Friendly staff. Nice vibe. Highly recommend…especially when the pedestrian gondola is running.

Was a fun way to kill some time. I am not a gambler but I noticed there were two types of people there. Some who looked like they had been there for hours and the others thay were merely passing through like us. We spent some time at a few machine and we did win some money so the trip was actually fun.
Chris P — Google review
My second visit to Casino Mont-Tremblant! The first time was in 2021, and now again in 2026. 😄 What a nice place! I’m not really a fan of casinos, but I decided to try one of the machines — and in less than a minute, I lost $25! That’s one meal gone, hahaha. Anyway, it was still a fun experience and worth the visit. 🎰
Anne E — Google review
Lots of pretty colors, big machines, flashing lights…. VERY EXCITING! Really helpful blackjack dealers 💕 Not a 5 because they didn’t have many tables open and didn’t have classic blackjack and the minimum bet was $10 😔

Outdoor Activities
Le Centre d'Activités Mont-Tremblant is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering an array of activities such as canoeing, rafting, rock climbing, dog sledding, ice fishing, snowshoeing, via ferrata, ziplining and horse drawn sleigh riding. With over seventy five activities available throughout the year, there's something for everyone.
My kids favourite spot. Lots of fun activities. However, some part of the highway towards the spot had numerous pot holes which were dangerous. I along with another tourist had flat tires. This part was painful. Quebec should look into these road hazards
Sajjad S — Google review
This was such a fun experience for our family which included kids ages 4 and 9, 2 adults, and a senior citizen. All of us were easily able to complete the course without any difficulty. The kids enjoyed hunting for the squirrels (wooden cutouts) with letters to discover the hidden message. They earned a prize of a free postcard from the gift shop for finding all the letters. There were also some little obstacle courses for the kids to explore right off of the main path. From the top of the tower the views were absolutely spectacular. I’d highly recommend visiting this place.

One of the nicest attractions on the north-eastern side of the Americas is the Autumn colors. That is when the greenery of the forests turns into a majestic sea of color brightness. The colors are observable through New England and all the way to Quebec, with a slight difference in timing from north to south, and let’s not forget about the states of New York, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina, which provide more than their share. So, I decided to top-off the 2025 motorcycle season by riding the Appalachian hills north to Montreal. We call these hills the Laurentians’. A lucky weekend it was as it coincided in many places with peak foliage, a celebration of maxed out foliage colors, from incandescent tints of orange and yellow, to flamboyant reds and fuchsia. More to this, some of the still lakes were like mirrors, reflecting this beautiful scenery, sometimes in a Monet kind of way, providing thus more viewing pleasures. The colors we get here in the northeast are unequaled across the world and serve as a well-deserved pre-emptive boost against November’s « grey-titude ». This helps to keep the spirit up until the landscape turns into a beautiful blanket of snow, to the great disappointment of my cherished triple cylinder horse of steel. Only then, for sure I know, the motorcycle season settles once again. I then reconvene by the fireplace, full of nostalgia, with my cats and my collection of books, my head filled with great memories gathered on the road and from the occasional cops flashing their lights in my mirrors, although from afar. Cheers to all and let’s get the pistons poppin’ next year!

Lovely property and setting. Our guide was wonderful. She truly loves the horses and the clients. Explained everything to us. Including each horses personality and matches us with them accordingly. Always giving us tips on how to handle the horses in different terrains. Also things about the forest and the area. Alot of the Horses are rescues.which is amazing. Big heart to save them and to have a good life. Cheers ! I would like to do the longer ride next time I am there.

Absolutely a must do for anyone wanting to make a lasting memory ... from check in to flight, it was seemless. The pure adrenaline that is staying with me an hour after our flight tells me everything. So exciting with amazing views. Bucket list item checked off 👍

Very nice activity in beautiful nature, ideal for families with bigger kids or teenagers. You can learn a lot about the nature and the loons. Eric is a great guide with lots of experience and knowledge.

I did the dog sledding excursion with Alaskan Aventure and it was a wonderful experience! The dogs were well socialized and you can tell they love getting out for a good run. Guests were able to spend time meeting some of the dogs and giving them pets and affection which they seemed to enjoy. We were also fortunate enough to meet some 2- month old puppies who were adorable. I definitely want to do this again someday!
Lori S — Google review
I had the most fun ever! They took great care of me as an individual who came to snowmobile. I was almost 30 minutes early, but somehow was still the last to arrive lol. Fortunately though, that gave me a private tutorial on how to operate the vehicle with one of the tour guides. They gave me very warm winter gear and I wasn’t able to feel a bit of the cold unless I took something off for pictures in between on one of our breaks. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. It was almost like we were on a street specifically for snowmobiles. They were cute tiny stop signs through out the tour because there are real cars that may cross through. Overall, I had so much fun! Would love to do it again

Fun & Games
Aquaclub La Source offers both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as hot tubs. It also features a fitness center with group classes. Families can enjoy the heated pools, with activities suitable for young children such as a small slide and poolside seating. The club is considered a great place to take kids for relaxation and fun, especially after skiing. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for parents to unwind in the outdoor hot tub while their kids enjoy the pool structures.
This place is a whole bunch of fun. It's one of the better places in the village to get inside if the sun is beating down on you. The prices are a little high, but it's what you might expect given the location. We paid a little over $50 for two adults and two <5 year old kids. The tickets were good for 3 hours. There's a little slide that is easily handled by young kids. They love it. Tarzan rope, "cliff jumping", and plenty of seating by the pool side. There's a pool and hot tub outside too. Some of which is restricted to adults.
John H — Google review
Kids swimming area actually isn't as big as it seems from some pictures and it's not exactly a water park either because there's only 1 or 2 activities. You can see the jumping rock and the hanging "Tarzan style" rope in the pictures I captured. The jumping rock is actually in the very deep end i.e. 10m so not all kids would feel comfortable jumping off it. Other than that, kids have very little to do in the water. Similarly kiddie pool has a small slide and that's pretty much it. Non-swimmers pay around $6 (including taxes) to get in.
Abba J — Google review
I regret to inform you that I had an unfortunate experience at the water park today. The staff's behavior towards my children was extremely disappointing and disrespectful. I am unsure about the appropriate channel to address this issue, so I am expressing my dissatisfaction through this message. I kindly request that you refrain from advertising on your Facebook page, as it contradicts the lack of concern shown towards your customers. I cannot recommend your water park to any families with children based on my experience. I hope this matter will be addressed promptly.
Elena S — Google review
Very expensive approx 60$ for 3 hours with kids. Yet it's a great place to play with your kids when it's raining or no snow to ride. It will be worth the money in 2020 when the upgrades are done. Currently the pool is closed for renovations until fall 2019.
Jason S — Google review
Everything in good repair and clean. Lots of lifeguards. Nice area to eat a picnic lunch. Could have more for kids to do, but my 5 and 9 year olds enjoyed it for three hours. Pricey, though.
Dawn P — Google review
Incredibly racist staff at this facility. Was harassed by their staff repeatedly for wearing a rashguard and swim tights in the water (despite the fact that both items were cotton free and designed for swimming), while other white patrons wore cotton tshirts and were not bothered at all. When the management was approached about their obvious discriminatory behavior they replied that "racial profiling" was just a part of how they ran their business. A terrible experience for me and my family, and definitely an establishment I would not visit again ever.
Fatima B — Google review
This is a great place to take the kids to relax and have fun. Some kid had an accident in the pool while we were there and the staff was very efficient with getting everyone out and cleaning up properly before allowing people back in.
Kasper B — Google review
The place is lucky that you have to give a star. Lifeguards are rude, too much chlorine, high prices for a terrible pool, and I was drinking my own water and a lifeguard knocked it out of my hand and said "NO NO NO". Also let’s just start with the changerooms I dont want to get undressed in front of people I’ve never met, stalls are needed and I bet all those locker have never bean totally filled up. Anyways if your children or you really want to swim any other place would be better!!!

Amazing experience, highly recommend! The kids had a blast, the crew is kind and attentive, they take the time to explain and make themselves available for questions.

Expedition Wolf was such amazing experience. Dog sledding we did 2 times before but this time it was so much better. I had a sled with 4 dogs about 10 k sledding up and down the mountain terrain. It is truly an experience worth having. Staff so amazing with the dogs and costumers.
Anna Z — Google review
Unforgettable Dog Sledding Experience with Expedition Wolf I recently had the pleasure of experiencing dog sledding for the first time with Expedition Wolf, and it was truly an unforgettable adventure. Sophie, Matt and the rest of the team, sorry I didn’t remember your names, were exceptional guides who made my first dog sledding experience a breeze. Their expertise and patience made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the journey. The dogs at Expedition Wolf were not only friendly but also clearly well taken care of. It was heartwarming to see the strong bond between the guides and their furry companions. The dogs looked amazing and were clearly well-loved and cared for. The entire experience was incredibly fun and exciting. The thrill of gliding through the snowy landscape with a team of energetic dogs leading the way is something I will never forget. I cannot recommend Expedition Wolf enough for anyone looking to try dog sledding. The experience was priceless, cannot wait to do it again. Thank you, Sophie, Matt, team members and all the wonderful dogs at Expedition Wolf, for an amazing experience that I will cherish forever!
Monica B — Google review
Amazing experience. Five of us had a great ride. The guides were helpful and fun. One of us is disabled and received extra attention and care. The dogs are well loved and cared for dogs, include a large number of rescues. Would definitely go back.
Barbara H — Google review
Wonderful dog sledding experience! The well-trained and well-cared for dogs, breathtaking scenery, and knowledgeable guides made this adventure a 5-star thrill. Highly recommend!
Jennifer G — Google review
This place is wonderful!!! We had Stéphane as our guide, and he was so helpful and kind and clearly loves the dogs so much. The experience is safe and exciting and wonderful!! We did the Forest tour and got to meet the dogs after, they were so friendly. I can't wait to go back again!!
Zoey J — Google review
Stopped by today for a spot of dogsledding. Both of us had never been before and had high expectations. We were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the dogs seem happy. There are 220 dogs currently at the facility, 80 of which are retired. Every dog here is either a rescue or the offspring of a rescue. Bring some treats for the dogs and you'll be welcomed like family. Part of the experience is that you help to harness and unharness the dogs. Seeing their enthusiasm to get going is a great way to start off the day. It can get windy while you're underway, so make sure you've dressed warm and have something to cover your face (cheeks and nose will get very cold). If you're 'driving' the sled, expect to spend a few calories as you have to get off the sled to go up hills. Coming from the Mont Tremblant resort area, it took about half an hour to get there on a clear day.
Adam C — Google review
The staff were awesome and very attentive to our safety. The facility was clean and well maintained. The dogs are clearly well taken care of, and are healthy (coats and teeth looked good!). As a dog lover, this was very important to us.

Ofuro Station Zen

Day spa
Spas & Wellness
Polished rooms with whirlpool tubs in an Asian-inspired spa hotel with free breakfast & a pool.
It was my first Nordic spa experience and remains my favorite 16 years later! I love how beautifully designed, down-to-earth and peaceful all the spaces are. And the way it is nestled into the woods is really special. I especially love the net hanging in the trees over the river and the fact that you have the option to cold dip in the river. It activates all the senses, from the delicious tea offering at the reception to the eucalyptus aroma of the steam room. I loved every minute of it and left feeling incredibly rejuvenated. Already looking forward to my next visit!
Tana P — Google review
Went midweek and it was very quiet. The location is nice, there's no traffic noise and a stream runs through the property which allows you to take a cold dip in running water. Price was good but there were two disappointing aspects. Some of the relaxation areas were cold for sitting. The yurt, where are ate our snacks, and the far rest room have fires, but they're not real wood fires and don't output enough heat to keep the rooms warm. Most disappointing was that the dry saunas were too cold to sit in. I went to reception to ask if at least one could be made warmer. One of the staff went to check the sauna above the men's changing room and said everything was fine as it was 100 degrees. This is barely above body temp and a quick look on Google will show you that the temperature should be 140 minimum. I don't know if this is done for cost-cutting reasons, but it's a bit much calling them saunas if they are always set to such a low temperature. I'll look at reviews to see if improvements have been made before visiting again.
Gordon A — Google review
Visited on a Friday afternoon with my partner and had a splendid experience. The location was completely cut off from the regular traffic with zero traffic noise. It’s into the nature with a beautiful stream flowing through the hills which is open for customers to take a dip in. The pools are very well maintained with three different temperature controls in three different thermal pools. The staff were phenomenal in taking a walk through of the entire place and helped in suggesting the best way to pamper your body. Andre has been very amicable and welcoming with a huge.
Partha C — Google review
Some rooms were cold. Paths were icy and not marked out well, could easily have an accident. Relax room where dry and wet sauna is, is very busy with a lot of traffic going in and out. So cannot relax in this room. Not well laid out. Temperature of pools hot and cold were good. Value for money with holiday special was good.
James — Google review
We have been coming to this spa for the last 10 years because it is beautiful, quiet, affordable, and close to many beautiful hiking trails in Quebec. We are from Toronto and love thermal spas. This one is our favorite in all of Quebec and Ontario. The rooms are very nice with a Jacuzzi. Management has changed for the better recently. We felt more welcomed as regular customers than ever before and our breakfast was actual nutritious food with some variety each day. Thank you! Part of the spa recently had some updates, renovations and a new sauna. There are more updates coming which we are very excited about! We came during the weekdays and snuck a few photos because we were the only couple there that evening. It's important to note that what we love the MOST about this spa is how quiet it is. No one is on their cell phones and people are generally very quiet at this spa which makes it different from all the modern spas nowadays. Finally, I want to thank Zeina at the front desk for making sure we had the absolute best stay and arranging our rooms for us. We also want to thank Jean Marc for all his help to ensure we had everything we needed and for making us feel right at home. And to the new owners for welcoming us! We look forward to the new and improved updates on it's way!
Edina H — Google review
I enjoyed a very relaxing overnight stay at Spa Ofuro and am really happy that I was able to go midweek when it was nice and quiet. The service was super friendly, location beautiful and rooms very comfortable. I spent the day doing the entire thermal circuit outside & then loved being able to go back to my room to relax. The hot pools were peaceful, cold dips great and brand new sauna & eucalyptus steam rooms were really nice. I did not spend any time in the 'relaxing' areas as I had my own room and preferred alternating from pool to sauna, sauna to pool. In the evening I made my own dinner in the room & was pleasantly surprised by the delicious breakfast that was included the next morning (toast, fruit, hard boiled egg, cottage cheese, yogurt, granola, berries, tea & coffee). Overall I found the vibe super chill and the place big enough to accommodate more people when busy. Looking around you can see that many improvements are being made & that recent renovations have helped spruce the place up! I will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful day at the spa with a relaxing ambiance and excellent service from all members of the staff. We have been to many spas across the Montreal and Laurentians and this was our favorite. Left feeling relaxed, pampered and very pleased. Highly recommend to those who want to relax in a heavenly setting.
Diane M — Google review
Came here with my partner for Valentines day, and I must say the pictures on their Google listing dont really do the place justice! The staff was fairly friendly, the place was pretty big too! They have many saunas with different temperature, same thing for hot tubs. The aesthetics are old-fashioned, but that's part of its charm. Also had a lovely massage, the therapist was very good! The only thing that was odd for us is that they included the fees both acess to the baths and the massage on the insurance receipt. When we asked to get it corrected, they said that’s how they typically proceed.

My massage therapist was amazing and did the best with what she could, the reason why I am giving such a poor score for this experience It’s because the room had no heat, and when I say no heat, my nose was cold and dripping every time the blanket was moved to massage a new area of my body. I was freezing. When I mentioned it to the front desk, their response was oh we’re really sorry about that and that is all.

Attended very enjoyable TGIF evening May 30 at spa. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the appetizers very tasty. I really liked the hand beauty treatment by 2 lovely ladies. Along with the music and baths, a truly "feel good" evening. Look forward to the next one. L

We enjoyed the experience but some of the small touches you see at other spas were missing. That would include more water stations with different types waters, herbal teas, in the bathroom it would be nice to have shampoo, conditioner, soaps and full body creams. Our experience at other similarly priced spas included these. The shopping area seemed somewhat limited. However, the thermal baths were lovely.

Massages were great. The pool we went to was missing quite a bit of water. When the wet sauna turned on, it sounded like the machine was about to break (loud, machine was struggling. anything but relaxing). Multiple poeple walked in, heard the noise and left. Our meal at the bistro was microwaved with the exception of the salad. My 16$ piece of quiche was microwaved and soggy. No one enforcing the cell phone and spa étiquette rules. Overall experience was ok at best. It's not great, not horrible, but it's definitely not worth the 500$ we spent. Unfortunately, we had a much better service and experience at the amerispa in Cantley.

Location is great, 360° greenery on site. Welcoming staff, good check in experience. Lack of staff in the bath section leaves little to no enforcement of spa etiquette, even though clearly indicated. Also, for the price they charge for a tandem massage, you would expect both therapists to show up, but no. Thankfully one of them was present and my partner was able to receive her treatment. After spending 20 minutes in their waiting room I was informed the therapist would be late and should arrive within a few minutes. 10 more minutes go by and, still nothing. Luckily the staff was understanding of the situation and offered a voucher and an additional discount to make things right, which I am grateful for. Overall decent experience, but wouldn’t go again.

Great place. I sent my mother there for a birthday Massage and she was very happy with the whole experience. Massage Therapist Karine was great with my mother and she is definitely going to return often for a good reset ! Thanks again :-)

This was a fun walk to take because there were interesting things to see all along the way. There were not a lot of people on foot so it didn't feel crowded but there were a lot of cyclists out for a good ride. It was mid week when we went so that might have made a difference. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

What a beautiful colourful walk! The foliage is stunning! There was a light rain that made the colours pop even more and the fresh scent of the trees was enhanced as well! So happy I didn’t shy away from walking in the rain! Enjoy!

Stayed at a bed and breakfast nearby and went for a walk on this trail. Superb scenery and great trail. Enjoyed the trees and path in the woods. Easy to walk since it is built on the old train trail. A must to visit.

Excellent ski hill, great variety of runs. Only disappointment was that we were there on a Friday and only 2/4 lifts were running, so we didn't get to explore all the runs. But overall it was a very fun experience. Staff are super friendly and its very family friendly.

It’s our first time to visit Morin Heights Mountain Good points: 1- family friendly because the mountain is lower than Saint-Sauveur and Avila besides 2 of 4 cables could reach green pistes and there are mostly whole families. 2-snow is a little better and thicker than main mountain. 3-less crowded 4-replace the season pass free(first time) Unluckily I left my card in another coat today and I asked for replacement a new one and it’s free. If I remember well in Saint-Sauveurs it will be charged 10 or 15$ (not quite sure) 5-reasonable price Bad points: 1-short open hour Today express Soleil and Rivière Simon close at 4pm and we had to shift to Avila to go on the joy 2-Little far to Highway 15 Exit 60 and to drive around 9 km for this Ski resort 3-No music, fireplace and outdoor chairs

Worst service you can have. I didn’t even go, and I still got the worst service. I called to ask if I can rent snowboard boots only since online on their website you have to rent the whole bundle equipment (boots, helmet, snowboard). The reception transferred my call to Morin Heights rental. I asked my question, and he wouldn’t even answer me properly. He told me that it’s possible to rent only the boots, and while I ask him how much it would be, he just told me to check online. I told him that I already checked and it’s not possible for me to rent only the boots online, so there’s no price for only that item. He keep telling me to go look online, and told me he has 5 clients in front of him and ended the call. Like, how hard could it be to just tell me the price to rent snow boots? Well now, I can say that they just lost 4 clients

Nice cosy little ski centre. The chalet is great with it's roomy cafeteria and warm atmosphere bar. For me the main perk is the Alpine touring / télémark ski trais. The Katia climbs directly to the summit in the woods on the sunny side with view of the surrounding. For those more into touring a trail good around all summits.

I loooved this experience. My husband and I went together. I have never done zip lining and I am very afraid of height! But I was able to finish all the 4 zones and I truly enjoyed it. It was physically demanding, and I needed a lot of focus, but it went wonderful. We allowed more professional participants pass so they do not have to wait. On one of the ziplines, I could not reach all the way to the end. My guide Laura was super nice and instead of bringing me down, she was able to send me a rope and somehow help me to arrive on the pole. I mean it was a small distance and I am sure she did not have to do it! But she did. 😊 thanks! She also gave me good advice and encouraged me on the most physically challenging part of the obstacles - for me at least- The price for the extend of what was offered was wonderful. It was my first experience and it was extraordinary. Thank you

This was my second zip line experience and my brother’s third, but this place was by far the best of any Zip line experience we had. Every encounter we had with the staff from checking in to guides along the routes were incredibly helpful and kind. We went during a heat wave, and there were several water stations along the way and cooler in the trees. By the end of zone 4 we were really exhausted! (Edit for spelling)

over all experience is nice.beautifull grounds and challenging courses i was there with a group, we didnt find the guides very helpful and some were very not pleasant to deal with. i would also suggest that they add some type of system to let the next person in line know that she can come on the zipline, we were busy screaming asking if we can come. alot of people got stuck on most ziplines i think its time for change .

My family and I (son, brother, and cousin) did the junior zoomer course at Acro Nature. It was an exciting experience for all of us until my son sustained a head injury. We went over the safety precautions with Nicole at the beginning of the course. She was the staff member who was overseeing multiple families doing the junior zoomer course. ONE staff member for multiple families. ONE person. I’ve done zip lining before in New Zealand and I saw a stark difference with how they handled safety issues and injury that unfortunately happened. My son and I were on our last zone and because there was a lack of specific information on how to properly harness and Nicole was not there as she was most likely with another family, my son suffered a head injury upon impact when he landed. The harness was too high and he most likely hit his head on the carabiner. This last zone was different from the first zone because of the height difference of the zip line thus the placing of the carabiner would be different (but how would we know that without a staff member supervising us). At one point in the middle zone which was a very challenging balancing course, my son called for Nicole several times for help. It took awhile since she was with other families. In New Zealand, a staff member was WITH US AT EACH LANDING ZONE TO PROPERLY HARNESS US. That was not the case here. I love zip lining but I also didn’t feel safe without inquiring with a staff first since all the zones were different. After my son was injured, bleeding, and hysterically crying, I noticed the lackadaisical attitude of Nicole. As a pediatric nurse, I thought this was inappropriate. She asked me TWICE for a tissue that I didn’t have. Why on earth do they not have a first aid kit on site?! She kept saying “you’re okay, you’ll be fine” and used her glove to wipe the blood from his nose. So inappropriate and lacks blood safety precautions! If you see someone bleeding, call the medic already! I HAD TO ASK FOR A MEDIC TO ASSESS HIM. That should’ve already happened especially with possible concussion. Michel was called in. He adequately assessed him and gave us post-care instructions. Also at the beginning, Nicole told us there was a beehive in one of the zones, under a wooden step. She told us that a girl was stung earlier. It was clearly not closed and we were given an option to go through this zone or not. Another safety issue that they were reckless about. Shouldn’t they have closed it to get rid of the beehive? What if a person got stung and had an allergic reaction to beehive? Or anaphylactic reaction? What then? Like I said they didn’t have a readily available first aid kit and were irresponsible when an emergency happened. Don’t leave it to the customer to HAVE TO ASK for a medic to come. My brother and cousin didn’t ever want to do zip lining after their experience here. All this could’ve been preventable if they had adequate staffing, better safety precautions, and medically responsible staff who were more proactive. So disappointed with my experience here!

Had a great experience yesterday! I was happy to find out how long the zones were and the difficulty level is perfect for someone like me (active but not an expert). Pricing was fair for the activity level. The staff were helpful and friendly, able to serve customers easily in English and French. I appreciated the ability to do things at your own level, with staff around to help if needed (at specific locations in the track). Kids had a great time. Highly recommend!
Kat B — Google review
We really had a great time! Our guides were nice and fully dedicated to the both of us. We would recommend the experience, especially early October with the yellow leaves! Autumn is gorgeous from up there, and not too crowded at all! You can expect to do the full experience in round 2 5 hours if you are accompanied. PS: the extreme section is seriously more difficult than the rest of the sections.
Thibault L — Google review
What a thrill! My husband and I were searching for something adventurous to do this past weekend, and zip lining was the perfect choice! I booked our tickets online to get a bit of a discount, which I would recommend. Our instructor guided us through the first few obstacles, but after that you are able to go through the course on your own, which I really appreciated. I don't think that I have the best upper body strength, but I still managed to get through the expert course. Challenging but very rewarding and fun! We spent just over three hours on the course, so it's good value for the price you pay.

We recently visited this eco parc and had a mostly enjoyable experience. While part of the road leading to the park was unpaved and bumpy, the overall setting was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed a pédalo ride with the kids, which was a fun activity. The trails in the park were in good condition, and the wooden paths looked recently renovated. However, it’s important to note that if you’re planning to rent a pédalo, kayak, or any other equipment, make sure to reserve in advance, especially on sunny days and during the high season. This helps ensure that you can enjoy the activities without any hassle.

Very clean park surrounded by untouched forest. It's super quiet and the atmosphere is relaxing. We came for a hike around the lake. You can also rent a treehouse or camp. The road to the tree houses takes you through a short hike. So they provide small carts to bring your things. Make sure not to forget anything in your car. There's an entrance fee of $10 per adult.
Mishka — Google review
This is our second time there. We were there the first time 7 years ago for a stay in one of their treehouses, and this time for a hiking along the lake. I see they have made some improvements to the treehouses, and we loved the trails. The only complaint I have is there are a LOT of mosquitos, so make sure to bring your repellant. The trails are very well marked, and there is a map at all the forks. The "you are here" is marked with a small red sticker on the maps, but in some cases the sticker is gone. If you have followed the trails and maps well, you should be able to tell where you are. There is no mobile connection, so make sure to grab a paper map at the dépanneur, where you pay for the entry, as the pavillon d'accueil is closed. The scenery is beautiful and this place is so quiet.

I give you one ✨. I was there yesterday for a walk with a friend of mine. The trail that was recommend to us was #1 around the lake. Apparently it tells you 4.7 k and 100 minutes. Not so!! We're 2 very active woman and in all it tooks us 3hrs and 50 minutes from beginning to end l!! The trails are treterous , very narrow and dangerous one wrong fotting and you're over the Clif. There are no signs with an emergency number in case of injury. That was the case yesterday, a lady sprained her ankle. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed our outing fresh air, the scenery was amazing. You have to look where your stepping at all times and this particular trail should be done only if your in great physical shape.

My family, including 17 year old daughter visited last month and had an amazing morning with Sonia and the huskies. The hike, and run in some places (where the dogs got a burst of energy) is a little physically demanding as the dogs are so excited to be taken out. You will be matched with a suitable strength dog, so don’t worry. Just make sure that is something you are comfortable with. I’m not personally experienced with dogs which was fine. We took Elsa, Ewok and Zoro. We would thoroughly recommend this unique activity. Make sure you book well in advance as it only runs twice per day for small groups.

We visited in the summer for a cani-hiking tour. Our family of three had a fantastic time. This is truly a unique experience that we will always remember fondly. Sonia and her daughter led us on a ~1.5 hour hike through the beautiful trails around the property. The dogs are the highlight - seeing how excited they are to run can’t help but put a smile on your face. Our family all wore running shoes. Hiking boots would have been better (as they recommend), but we were still fine.

Wow Wow Wow we had such a wonderful experience with the beautiful and extremely well behaved dogs. The owner Sonya was our Dog Hiking guide and it’s clear how much she loves her dogs. You get to choose your own “dog guide” and it’s a hard choice with all the dogs you can choose from. :) Bring bug spray and wear long sleeves and long pants. It’s a good walk through the forest so wear closed toe shoes. We will definitely go back summer or winter!

Arrived here for lunch at 11:30, at which point a simple yet savoury vegetarian plate was served with a side soup and a bottle of water. Very tasty. Good exchange of smiles and cordial salutations with other patrons who were non-English speakers (!). Thereafter a visit of the statues was a great way to finish the visit.

Nice and interesting place. I'd say it's "different". We were impressed by the scale of the territory the monastery occupies. There are huge statues all around the park. However, there is only one place where you could read something in English. It's totally understandable that tours were not planned there as this is a holy place, but taking into account that English and French people are also visiting it, having some readable information at least in one of those languages would be a nice add-on. General information about the visit can be found on the monastery official website. We also got some insight from a YouTube video dated back to 2015. It gave us a idea of what could be seen there. One more thing to keep in mind is the road to the monastery. Before choosing the route, consider checking in Google maps how the last couple of kilometers of the drive look like in reality.
Natalia T — Google review
We had the chance to visit Tam Bao Son Buddhist Monastery on our way from Mont Tremblant to Ottawa on weekend and it turned out to be an incredible experience. The monastery is set on a vast, serene property surrounded by nature. As soon as we entered, the staff kindly guided us to the parking area and gave a warm introduction along with some visiting guidelines. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the grounds are beautifully maintained with pleasant hiking trails, wooden stairways leading to different levels, and statues of various sizes placed throughout the area. Everywhere you look, there’s a sense of calm and tranquility. A few things to note for visitors: modest dress is required shoulders and knees should be covered. If needed, they even provide long dresses to ensure everyone feels comfortable and respectful. The entry is free, parking is also free, and for just $10 you can enjoy a fresh vegetarian meal on-site. They serve lunch untill 3pm. For seniors and people with limited mobility, transportation carts are available for $10. The friendly staff also give a tour of the area on these carts, making it easier to experience the beauty of the monastery without the steep walks. Main Temple opened at 1pm. There’s also a small gift shop where we picked up traditional Vietnamese straw hats, which were perfect for the sunny day. We recommend setting aside at least 2–3 hours to explore and truly soak in the beauty of the place. While most paths are well kept, some areas with stone steps can be steep, so comfortable shoes are helpful.

I have been coming every summer with my family since the founding of the monastery. However, our last visit on Saturday might be our very last. Horrendous staff attitude. We witnessed other guests being YELLED at. Got followed by “security guard” to enforce my 8 year old daughter to wear the praying gown they provided at the entrance, even if it was nearly 40•C out and it was a floor-grazing gown. No leniency for kids. She was just wearing long biker shorts and a tshirt. We even got threatened to be kicked out of the premises. I would be understanding if they wanted to enforce the modesty rule on teens or adults showing up in inappropriate outfits. Regardless of all the negativity, and after coming this whole way, my kids still wanted to visit every single statue to pray, even if they almost had a heatstroke in the process. The only nice people were the man at the main hall and the volunteers at the canteen. Everyone else let the little power they have boost their ego over the top.

The superior suite was absolutely stunning, the view is incredible and the atmosphere is to die for ! The tubs are cute and the best part is its limited amount of people, so it’s quiet and comfortable. My massage was very relaxing. Just over all a great weekend ! Wonderful spa getaway.

One of the best spa experiences I've ever had! Eco Spa Highland is a small hotel spa that offers 2 hot baths, 1 cold bath, and 2 saunas (although only 1 sauna was turned on during our stay). I must begin my review with the service that we received. The staff was incredibly accommodating, welcoming and kind. At breakfast, they were out of hot chocolate, and the manager offered to go to his home and bring some back for me! It highlighted how generous they are. The rooms (and the hotel in general) were clean, cozy, and had balconies, which was a nice plus to our stay. We were lucky to have good weather. My friend and I opted for the table d'hôte for supper. The food was good, the service was efficient, and we were surprised by a live music show! And we were doubly surprised to learn that the manager is a great singer as well! Another factor that contributed to my incredible stay was, incidentally, that we almost had the whole place to ourselves. Apart from us, who stayed in the hotel proper, there was just another group of 4 who stayed at the glamping site. Most of the time, my friend and I were alone, so it felt like it was our own private spa. The place is well-located, cut off from the city in the middle of nowhere, at the top of a mountain, so we had an amazing view of the valley below and we could disconnect from the buzz of our every day lives. Note that since you're surrounded by trees and grass, there will be insects flying around during warmer days. All in all, I adored my stay at Eco Spa Highland ! It was relaxing, cozy and intimate. The hosts took good care of us. I will definitely visit again!

Calm, beautiful and clean resort. Not glam at all, relaxed and at the top of the mountain. Quite the drive up the mountain from Highway 50, bumpy and need to go slow (locals drive faster). Owners super friendly, talented (they provide musical entertainment ) and supper was delicious (all homemade , including delicious raspberry pie!) Each had massages and were relaxing and wonderful! Only downfall was breakfast (veggie). Got a plain croissant, yogurt, clementine and juice box. A good option would be Egg/cheese wrap, and or overnight oats. Would recommend more for adults. View was stunning. An amazing weekend, Thank you!!

We stayed two nights at the Eco Spa Highland as part of our Unexpected Journey experience. It was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for an intimate, peaceful and lovely getaway. Even though all rooms were booked up, it still felt as though we had the place to ourselves many times and remained a calm atmosphere. The spa area was relaxing and we spent the bulk of our day there after a hike in the nearby trail. The room was comfortable as well. The hosts, Philippe & Michelle were so nice and attentive. Our evening meal on Saturday was delicious, followed by live piano and singing which we loved. It got us up and dancing! We appreciated the ease of the box breakfasts in the mornings. A great place to relax and disconnect as there is not a lot of guests. Dinner was excellent - we had braised beef and ribs. The view was fantastic, the pools and saunas were great. The hot room was so peaceful with a great view of the forest. Our room was spacious and well appointed.

What a fantastic weekend getaway. The owner’s relaxed but efficient vibe really trickles down into the resort. It’s a a secluded small resort that is very relaxing and has a spa just big enough that allows you to do some hot-cold circuits, all the while enjoying a beautiful view. The dinners were quite tasty and the live music really hits the experience out of the park. Highly recommended for an enjoyable weekend to disconnect and reconnect.

Had so much fun for our first time rafting thanks to our guide Phil😊 We couldn’t have asked for a better guide!!! He made us feel safe and kept us safe. He also provided us lots of fun facts and trivia regarding the river and its history. All the staff are bilingual and super friendly! The facilities are well maintained as well as the campsites. We’ll definitely be back!!!

We had the privilege of rafting with this company for the second time, and it was yet another amazing experience! The scenery was breathtaking, the river was gorgeous, the best prices , beautiful photos and the staff were friendly .I can't recommend them enough! If you're looking for a fun and cool adventure, look no further. 5 stars and a huge thumbs up from me!

This was an absolute blast. A must do adrenaline rush right here at home. Great lodging, friendly bilingual staff. The equipment was in tip top shape. They had a great safety tip seminar prior to going out. I suggest going as early in the season as possible when the water is high and you fly down the river. Making for a more intense ride. Note* Make sure the heavier people in your group are in the front. That way when you flip the lighter people do not get squished against the rocks by the heavier people.

We had an amazing time with family and friends its such a beautiful place and the staff is awesome. Our guide Jeremy was the best, friendly funny and always putting safety as #1 priority. We fell out before the Washing Machine which made for an awesome video. All staff on the water made sure everyone was safe. Thank you Propulsion Rafting!

This was our first time white water rafting! New World is a great place to start. The nicest and expert staff. It was an amazing experience. Wet suits are included, but get the water shoes too ($5). Better if you are a big group.

Had a wonderful river rafting experience! They took us on about a 20 minute bus ride to the rafting spot, where we were given all the necessary safety gear and clear instructions on paddling and safety. The boat had about 8-10 people plus an instructor who guided us throughout. The whole experience was exciting, well-organized, and so much fun.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Leading up to the event, some of my friends were concerned about the weather so I reached out and the communication was quick and clear. All our questions were answered. Facilities are nice and the whole experience was smooth, we all had a great day! One issue however is some of the jokes felt inappropriate for the crowd (there were kids). In addition, some of my friends didn't feel comfortable with the comments that were made to them. Other than that everything was great.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an amazing experience river rafting here! The staff were super friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe while still having a blast. The guides were knowledgeable and kept the energy high throughout the trip. The scenery was breathtaking, and the rapids were the perfect mix of thrilling and manageable—even for beginners. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to add some adventure to their day. Will be coming back for sure!

Unforgettable Adventure with Nouveau Monde – Jonathan Was Exceptional! What an epic experience! Our day with Nouveau Monde Rafting was nothing short of exhilarating, and the memories will stay with us forever. The rapids were wild, the scenery was breathtaking, and the entire experience was incredibly well-organized and safe—yet full of adrenaline. But what truly made it next level? Jonathan. From start to finish, he was an absolute legend—calm, funny, encouraging, and deeply knowledgeable. You could feel his passion for the river and for giving guests the best possible adventure. His energy was contagious, and his leadership turned a great day into an exceptional one. If you're even thinking about rafting in Quebec—stop thinking and book with Nouveau Monde. And if you’re lucky enough to get Jonathan as your guide, prepare for a ride you’ll never forget. Thank you for the thrills, the laughs, and the pure joy. We'll be back for more!

Had an amazing time. Worth buying the photos! It's very safe but can be a bit scary, there are guides watching over everyone and a kayak following in case anything happens. My buddy fell out a few times and he was fine. Some of these 1 star reviews are pretty silly.

We had an amazing experience at Rafting Nouveau Monde! Our guide, Arine, was absolutely fantastic. As the only English-speaking group in our batch, we really appreciated how she made sure all the briefings were done in both French and English so we felt fully included and comfortable. She struck the perfect balance between fun and safety, making sure we had a great time on the water. The hospitality at the facility was also top-notch. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, which made the whole day even better. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable rafting adventure!

What an amazing discovery! Decided to drop in to try something new, and we we're not disappointed. A nice selection of wine to taste and a great menu for food. The family run business makes you feel at home, especially with the dogs and the cat greeting you. They have a great space to taste wine outdoors as much as indoors. They staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return !

Amazing winery! We went for my friends birthday this weekend and everything was perfect. I tried a couple of wine flights as well as their wine slush. All the wines I tasted were fantastic. We also had lunch, I split the charcuterie board and a margherita pizza, which was perfect to split between 4 people. Everything was amazing! They apparently have live music events which I would definitely go back to see!

Look for the painted silo and you'll find the winery. They have some interesting items for sale in their shop. I recommend taking your wine to sit outside with a view of the vines but they do have interior seating. They were constructing an outdoor bar when we were there.

Had a lovely afternoon visit to Vankleek Hill Enjoyed a bottle of the rose gris orange. Light and fruity chilled and paired with cheese platter. While they can’t guarantee vegan, the wines are gluten free. We brought a bottle of Pinot noir home for another day. There was a couple singing so the live music was nice under a tent. Great place to stop by and try the wine.

What a delightful venue! It's a fantastic spot to enjoy some wine outdoors. They offer a great variety of grapes, and you can try a flight alongside a delicious charcuterie and cheese board. We even had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, whose passion for her vineyard truly shines through. They're open Thursday to Sunday, with corporate events available on other days. Definitely check it out!

Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality, eco-friendly products! 💚 As a family trying to reduce plastic use, I am incredibly impressed that their packaging is almost entirely plastic-free—just a little tape on the box. I also love how the seasonal soap varies and everything smells exactly as described, without any harsh chemicals (another thing we are trying to avoid)! We’ve also been loving their all-natural home products—the dish soap works great, but it does leave a film if you do not rise in fully, and my husband swears by their shampoo bars. Plus, from what I understand, they source ingredients ethically and locally whenever possible.

Me and my family have been buy hand soap and detergent for years from here and have spent lots of $$$$ to support. But after the last time we got hand soap and all our hands got have been getting dry and we all got a rash on our hands pretty bad. Also the detergent is all vineagar now we are not able to use it. Its sad because they put $$$$ over quality.

This local shop makes great soap and bath products in an environmentally conscience way. Our family is a fan of their soaps, shampoo bars, and bath bombs. They smell great, are friendly to sensitive skin, and are consistently high quality. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced or even grown on site, and the palm oil that is in some of the products is sustainable and organic certified. The soap is wrapped in paper, so totally recyclable. They have products that are specially made for certain skin conditions, including a line of baby products and for rosacea. Online orders are fast, and shopping in the small shop at the farm is a delight.

I ordered several items the othere day to stock up, but first time using the dishsoap bar for the kitchen. I have never used a product like this before for so I had no expectations. One swipe with my wet kitchen sponge and I had more soap than I could imagine. The suds were still there 2 hours later on an item I was soaking. I am so please to be using an eco friendly product from one of my favorite local Ontario businesses. Thanks for these great products!

Beau's Brewery

Brewery
Food & Drink
Delicious beers, amazing location, and awesome staff! I was able to visit here on a Tuesday afternoon while in town for the Limitless retreat. Since it was a weekday, it was a quiet afternoon, but I could tell the place gets hopping at the large patio space out front. Next time I'm in the area, I'll plan my trip around time to be here for an event (or two). Enjoyed a flight with a tasty range in beer styles and flavors. Hard to pick a favorite as each had their own unique high points. Although the crème brulé stout was a delicious treat. My favorite part was chatting with the team about the area and the history of the brewery. Come in once and you'll be a regular!
Andy A — Google review
I had been wanting to visit this brewery for a while and finally went and some things were great others a little disappointing. First off the most disappointing aspect is that the brewery was recently acquired by Steam Whistle so nothing is brewed on site anymore, it's all done in Toronto, so you can't see the brewing operation. They did however have 8 beers on tap including this time around the iconic Lugtread, a Lugtread light, a sour, a stout, a red and a few IPAs. All of them were quite good and you can order by the pint or sample in flights of 4. They had several of the bees in cans also so you can take some with you. They also serve snacks and food. They have nice Beau's schwag for sale too including Ts, caps, hoodies, beer glasses and mugs amongst other things. They had a few hot sauces made with their beer and the one we bought was amazing. On the cool side too now is part of the area has been taken over by Dunrobin distillery and you can try and buy their products on-site. They had vodkas, rhums, whiskeys, and gins, etc and the ones I tried were quite interesting. There is a small parking, clean washrooms and In the summer they make an outdoor terrace area.
Michael Q — Google review
Beau's is a perfect place to stop for lunch with plenty of interior and exterior seating. They offer limited sandwich options but there are extremely flavorful. A wide variety of uniquely named beers to drink onsite or bring home. A live band entertains some afternoons. You might get lucky and meet Magna, their sweet rescue dog.
Karen K — Google review
Beau's has been my favourite brewery for the last decade. Finally experiencing the brewery in-person was an absolute pleasure. The bar staff were attentive and detailed in their description of the beers, making appropriate recommendations based on my stated preferences. The highlight of the day was tasting the beers which are not widely available (& not sold in any LCBO or Beer Store). I sampled a flight of 4 which included: Night Märzen, Double Juiced, Curse of Knowledge, and Gravity Well. My ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE was Curse of Knowledge. This is one of the best brews I have ever enjoyed! Beau's was unfortunately sold out of this brew (but I can understand why) so I purchased my go-to beer, Wonder Crush. Looking forward to finding an opportunity to go back to see if I can get my hands on some Curse of Knowledge. I highly recommend spending an afternoon at Beau's Brewery.

Came here on our way to Montreal to break up the drive a bit. What a cool stop off of the highway. The staff was very friendly and their outdoor patio is extremely inviting with the vines growing all over it. Our daughter loved the tractors and that she was allowed to play on them. Beer selection was pretty good, though I was hoping for something darker. Their artwork on the beer labels is pretty good, made it pretty tempting to buy a shirt. We got an amber and a Juiced AF. Both were quite good, perfect for the warm weather. I definitely would come back.

Awesome pit stop. Had some food like chips and sandwiches but maybe there is more on the menu. Patio was great. Nice facilities and staff too. Oh and Beaus on tap is 100 percent better than cans in store speaking personally. I can't explain it but their beer in house tastes so fresh.

Today, Beaus. Need I say more? Beau's had us over for a full tasting and experience at their brewery and it was one of the most incredible brew-day I had in a long time. Laura, their taproom manager was so friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and service oriented, she herself made the experience a 5 star one. The products are amazing. Beaus really worries about the quality of the beers they brew and are very cautious about how the whole process in their facilities. The brewery is impeccable, super clean. Their Halcyon Barrel aged beers are very creative and unique in taste. I am so happy I spent the afternoon at Beau's with my peeps. Definitely a top experience I cannot wait to repeat! Thank you Beaus! Thank you Laura! ///// Aujourd'hui, Beaus. Est-ce que j'ai besoin d'en dire plus? Laura, leur gestionnaire de bar était gentille, accueillante, informée et orientée à fournir un excellent service client. Son service a rendu l'expérience une journée 5 étoiles. Nature & Parks
Omega Park is a nature park that offers a variety of activities for visitors. One of the main attractions is the opportunity to interact with wildlife, including feeding the animals up close. Visitors are advised to bring plenty of carrots for this unique experience. The park also features walking trails, picnic areas, and First Nations totems. Additionally, there are accommodations available such as cabins and tipis, providing an immersive experience in nature.
Parc Omega is truly one of the best wildlife safari parks in Quebec, Canada! From the moment we entered, it felt like stepping into a magical outdoor adventure surrounded by breathtaking nature and amazing animals. We drove through the wildlife safari trail and saw elk, bison, wolves, bears, and even arctic foxes up close—all in their natural habitat. The highlight for me was feeding the friendly deer and elk carrots right from the car window (don’t forget to bring a bag of carrots with you!). The park is very well-maintained, clean, and family-friendly. There are picnic spots, hiking trails, and even a wolf and bear observatory for those who want to explore on foot. The Parc Omega accommodations looked incredible too—staying overnight in a log cabin or glass dome with wildlife right outside must be such a unique experience. What I love most is that the park balances fun with education, teaching visitors about Canadian wildlife, nature conservation, and Indigenous history. It’s a perfect day trip from Ottawa, Montreal, or Gatineau and a must-visit for anyone looking for a Canadian wildlife experience. If you’re searching for a wildlife safari near Ottawa or Montreal, Parc Omega is the ultimate destination. Great for families, couples, photographers, and anyone who loves animals and nature. I can’t wait to come back in a different season to see how the landscapes and animals change!

We stayed one night in a pod in the village from a Sunday to a Monday last week and went through the park two days of our visit. Our family had a wonderful time. The pod was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Our kids liked staying in the loft. Staff were friendly and provided clear information. We had our dinner by the campfire and were visited by many deer. Be sure to bring plenty of carrots for both driving through the park and for the visitors to your pod if you’re staying here. Highly recommend going to the morning wolf education session if you stay overnight. It was far less busy than the one we attended in the daytime within the park. The staff at the educational sessions were knowledgeable and answered our kids’ questions following the session. The animals here seemed well cared for and their enclosures were big enough that you might not necessarily see them all, for example to see the wolves you are likely best to attend one of the educational sessions where they come out to be fed. The elk you will most definitely see a lot of approaching your car for carrots which is very entertaining. We enjoyed the little trail around the trout pond. We hope to return again someday.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Parc Omega Parc Omega is a must visit for any animal lover! We stayed for two nights in one of the 1400 square foot chalets located in the wolf area, and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. The accommodations were spotless, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed,it honestly felt like a home away from home. We brought our own groceries from Metro and enjoyed cooking some delicious meals right in the chalet. It was the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. As for the Parc itself, it’s very well maintained and offers a great variety of animals to see up close. From elk and bison to arctic wolves, every encounter was memorable. The hiking trails were a nice bonus, peaceful, scenic, and a great way to stretch your legs after the drive-through portion. Overall, we highly recommend Parc Omega. It’s a unique experience that blends nature, wildlife, and comfort beautifully. We’ll definitely be back!

Love this park!!! The ticket is totally worth it! The views of the park itself is beautiful, very spacious. There are couple of stops that you can hike and enjoy the view, also some tables for picnic. The animals are well taken care of, they look happy and have enough space to run around.

it is one of the best safari parks I've ever been to - an amazing experience for all ages who love animals and nature. The whole park is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully divided into different zones for various animals, making each part of the drive exciting. Deer are basically everywhere, even right from the entrance! We arrived before 11am., and it was already packed with friendly deer eagerly waiting for carrots. But don't let them fool you - save your carrots, because there're plenty more deer throughout the park. Or you could buy carrots later in the shops in Zone 11. We brought about 10 pounds of carrots and found it best to cut them into halves or quarters so the smaller deer can eat easily. Zone 4 is where you can take a trail walk by the lake and we also went to Zone 11 to watch the wolf presentation, which was both fascinating and educational, and enjoyed some surprisingly good poutine at Zone 11,too. another quick tip : when you reach the first gate that says "Parc Omega", drive straight in - the ticket check comes afterward. If you're staying overnight, then you turn left at that first gate for the accommodations. It's truly a full-day adventure, and if your budget allows, staying in the Deer Cabin or Wolf Lodge makes it even more unforgettable.
LingJ — Google review
Written in September. Wonderful place for kids. The animals come to eat right from the car. It's recommended to buy 2 large bags of carrots and bring them. It's worth buying tickets on Black Friday when the price is lower. The fall foliage was very beautiful- with a great short hike.
Yo S — Google review
I tried to buy tickets in advance for a discount, but the website was having issues. I ended up having to pay the regular price at the entrance. The park lets you feed deer which is a really funny experience. You can buy your own carrots at the supermarket for cheaper. There is a drive-through safari where the deers are and we also saw boars and bison. Some animals are caged in like the wolves, coyote, foxes, bears, wolverine, prairie dogs and horses. The arctic wolf enclosure wasn't visible due to construction work and the grey wolves werent near the lookout so we couldn't see them. The wolf presentation at 12pm didn't happen for some unknown reason. For a safari of this price, I find the variety of animals to be a bit lacking. Also, the cart ride to the farm was closed without notice, and people were lining up for 20 minutes just to be told it was closed. The farm only had alpaca, and the feeder was broken and ate a woman's coin. If not for the deer feeding part, it would've been a worse experience overall due to management issues.

As a first-time visitor to a park like this, I was amazed by how close and interactive the experience was. It’s a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and comfort. highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone who loves wildlife. it was absolutely unforgettable! Parc Omega is a self-drive wildlife safari located near Montebello, about an hour from Ottawa or Montreal. You drive through 12 km of beautiful landscapes forests, lakes, and open fields while getting incredibly close to Canadian wildlife. * You can feed deer and elk right from your car window bring your own carrots (lots of them). We also saw moose, bison, wolves, bears, and arctic foxes. * The park is open year-round and offers different activities each season like dog-sledding and snowshoeing in winter, or bird shows and walking trails in summer. * They even have unique overnight stays,glass-fronted cabins where you can sleep next to a wolf enclosure! * Family-friendly with picnic spots, a small farm, play areas, and well-kept facilities. Tips: * Arrive early to avoid the crowd and enjoy the peaceful environment. * Be cautious when feeding animals, some have large antlers and can bump your car. * Plan 3–5 hours for a relaxed visit and to explore both the drive and walking trails.

Fromagerie Montebello, a charming boutique cheese producer in Quebec, has been delighting visitors since its opening in 2011. The small production facility not only crafts award-winning artisanal cheeses but also offers a delightful retail store showcasing the region's finest flavors, from maple syrup to honey, mustard, jams and jelly.
Very nice store! Lots of cheese choices. They also have a fresh deli and other items such as meats, wines, drinks, chocolates, cutting boards etc. There is a patio in the back to enjoy your fresh treats! We only bought the cheese curds and they were DELICIOUS! If you’re in the area, or just like us, if you see the sign on the highway, be sure to stop in! You won’t regret it!!

Delicious squeaky fresh made same day curd cheese which wasn't salty and tasted so good. We also bought Aged Cheddar Cheese 5 Year reserve and oh wow.... the little cheese crystals are very refined. No bitter taste. When we visited, it was past the summer visitor season so the snack bar eating area was closed. Nevertheless we visited for the cheese and it was well worth it. Took some videos for all to see.

What a delightful stop! 🧀✨ Fromagerie Montebello was one of those unexpected gems on our drive to Mont-Tremblant — the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. The variety of cheeses and jams here is incredible! From rich, creamy local favorites to unique flavors, everything looked (and tasted) amazing. I especially loved the orange and pineapple jams — they were so delicious that I genuinely wished I’d sampled them earlier... I would have taken home a few jars of each! 🍊🍍 The gentleman behind the counter was wonderfully patient and knowledgeable, walking us through the different cheeses and helping us choose just the right ones. The shop itself has such a warm, welcoming vibe, full of local charm and authenticity. And then there’s the patio — a lovely spot overlooking the lake, perfect for enjoying a cheese board or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. 🌿🧺 If you’re driving through Montebello, this place is an absolute must-visit. Great flavors, friendly faces, and a beautiful setting — a perfect little stop that captures the heart of Quebec hospitality. ❤️

Fromagerie Montebello is such a nice spot to visit! The cheeses are absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I also tried the coffee — it wasn’t extraordinary, but I still enjoyed it. What really made the experience special was the environment and the beautiful view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the charm. A place worth visiting if you want to relax, enjoy good cheese, and take in the scenery.

I loved this place, I used to drive from Montreal and buy products there and sit in the patio and have lunch sometimes. I went Saturday and a little note at the door saying that the restaurant was closed. I got inside and asked the service woman there the rhetorical question: Is the restaurant closed, expecting a little conversation like “ Yeah, it’s closed for the summer and we are doing some renovations and stuff like that. The lady there noticed my French wasn’t perfect and answered, we got only cheese and sandwiches, and whispered to her coworker something like: why they are asking is written on the door, my son overheard. It looks like she was bothered and not very happy to be there. My daughter wanted to buy some cake and my wife some cheese, but I told them I wouldn’t spend a dollar in a place i don’t feel welcomed. It’s a shame, because I’m not going there anymore, only because of some poor service and unhappy employee.

Such a wonderful spot in Montebello! It has made our trip here! Kind and patient service, and super fresh and delicious cheese and bread. We really enjoyed everything we have purchased. All the staffs were kind and helpful. I highly recommend their bread with cheese and tomato sauce: the outside bread is crunchy, the tomato sauce has generous garlics in it; every bite was enjoyable! The squeaky cheese is the most squeaky one we have ever had! Again, very fresh and yummy.

Excellent choice of cheeses and condiments At this time of year the restaurant is closed but they still serve a good variety of sandwiches and beverages to eat in.

Fromagerie Montebello is a delightful stop for anyone visiting the region, especially for food lovers and photographers who enjoy capturing artisanal craft in action. This charming cheese factory specializes in locally produced cheeses, combining traditional techniques with a modern touch. The rustic setting, with wooden accents and open production areas, makes for excellent photographic opportunities—think golden wheels of cheese, staff at work, and the textures of aging cheese on racks. Visitors can watch the cheesemaking process firsthand, from curd to wheel, gaining insight into the craft while experiencing the rich aromas and flavors. The tasting area is equally inviting, offering a variety of cheeses that pair beautifully with local products such as honey, charcuterie, and fresh bread. For photographers, Fromagerie Montebello provides a mix of still-life and lifestyle opportunities. The warm tones of the cheeses, the craftsmanship on display, and the friendly staff create a welcoming environment to capture both detail shots and candid moments. It’s a small but memorable stop that combines culture, taste, and visual appeal, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring Montebello.

Incredible chocolate! Like, WOW chocolate! Their coffee is NOT great unfortunately, it’s a coffee machine and it tasted more like water with milk :( …but their CHOCOLATE is amazing and they are a chocolate place after all! 5/5 for chocolate!

Manoir Papineau National Historic Site is a historic estate that was home to the Papineau family from 1850 to 1929. The property, including the house, outbuildings, gardens, and grounds, is now open to the public and managed by Parks Canada. It commemorates Louis-Joseph Papineau, a prominent figure in Canadian politics.
Really enjoyed the tour of Manoir Papineau. We took the English and French tours because we had to split up, and the two tour guides did an amazing job. Worth visiting!

We decided to visit the National, site but didn't realize it was closed during the winter as the driveway entrance was clear. We did read up on the history of the home and the family. Interesting fact of the distant relations of the Papineau and Trudeau family. Sharing some photos of the exterior.

I enjoy visiting historical places like this. It wasn’t open in the moment because it was too early in the season but it was still interesting to walk the grounds and enjoy the scenery. I always imagine what it’s like to have lived in a house like this back in the day. Louis Joseph Papineau once lived here. He was a politician who helped the rebellion against the British government back in the day. 👍😎

Absolutely delightful staff; Jennifer ensured we had brochures and pamphlets with ever point of interest within 100km, and Sylvie showed us around the beautiful garden and l'orangerie which were in full bloom. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely wonderful tour! Sarah was excellent and was very knowledgeable. Tours are available in both English and French and well worth the nominal entrance fees. The major renovations (long overdue) are amazing and I’d highly recommend spending some time here!!

Educational visit. Very pretty ground and Manor. Good guided tour through the house for about a half hour.
Natara A — Google review
A wonderful National Historic Site and well worth a visit. The Manor can only be visited through a guided tour, which I highly recommend. The 45-minute tour gives fascinating insights into the Papineau family, their bourgeois lifestyle in the 1800s and 1900s, and the history of the region. About 80% of the artifacts and furnishings are original, which makes the experience even more impressive. Beyond the Manor itself, there’s also a trail nearby that leads to the Fairmont Hotel or Montebello Village, perfect for extending your visit. Overall, a memorable experience and a must-see if you’re in Montebello.

Amazing spot, an hour and a bit from ottawa, we went this weekend and it was not busy at all.. beautiful cabin with chairs and tables where you can sit indoor and rest. Washrooms, running water and a shower too! They have a nice out door seating with benches as well. We took trail number 7 which was about two hour for us, we were a big group with kids. It is not easy in a sense that there is lots of ups.. but the views are definitely rewarding. A great thih about this trails that you can drive up to the view point. One of our group couldn’t hike but she kept meeting us at the viewing point.
Hadia — Google review
Amazing hike! The mister at the reception was super helpful and explained to us which trails to take to have a good challenge. We took the trails 7 and 12 together, and the hike took us 3h to complete, exactly as the mister at the reception said! The entrance fee is 10$. Some parts of the trails were confusing, as we didn’t know which side to go to, and there were a lot of leaves on the ground, which makes it harder to see the trail. However, we just followed our gut, and there were a few signs here there with the number of the trail, or some red tape around a tree branch that lets us know we’re on the right track. The trail 7 was pretty easy, and we met a lot of people on the way, either to the Belvédère or the Tour d’observation. I think that’s the park’s most popular trail. The views were amazing. Right after the Tour d’observation, we took the trail 12 and that’s when we were alone in the woods (we did not meet anyone, except towards the end of the trail), and it felt so peaceful, with all the leaves on the ground and the trees with so many colourful leaves. There was one part, as the receptionist said, that’s really steep, and it gave us quite a challenge. I highly recommend the hike of the trails 7 and 12 to any hike enthusiast! I would definitely go back and try the other trails someday!

This park is about an hour drive from Ottawa. It's not very busy and the wavey and uphill trails made it very fun for me. However, I did think the trails were NOT labeled very well. Trail 7 was what we took and there were a number of times that we had to wander in the wrong direction because of the lack of signs. This is a bit surprising considering its $8 per adult to visit. While I enjoyed the trail, I wouldn't be going back due to the distance, short trails and entrance fee. If you need a change from trails you visit it may be worth checking out for you. 🙂

Came here before when we would parc at the bottom and hike to the top. Now we drive to the top (gettin old) and enjoy the view from the tower. In the same evening we watched the sunset from the tower then walked to the other side of the mountain (1km) and watched the moon rise. Beautiful!

The property features a golf course, multiple restaurants, and a spa with great treatments and facilities including an indoor pool, whirlpools, and a dry sauna. With over 90 years of history, this impressive log cabin resort offers more than 40 unique activities on-site.
A magical night at Fairmont Le Château Montebello! We stayed one night at Fairmont Le Château Montebello and it truly felt like stepping into a cozy, luxurious log cabin retreat! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming perfect for families and kids looking for a fun yet relaxing getaway. The lobby, with its grand fireplace and rustic charm, immediately caught the kids' attention (they called it a “castle in the woods”!). The check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had that classic chalet vibe. We enjoyed a lovely dinner by the fire, and in the evening, we took a peaceful walk around the grounds followed by hot chocolate in the lounge. It was cozy, relaxing, and just the break we needed. Even though it was just one night, it felt like a real escape into nature and comfort. We’re already planning to come back next time for a longer stay!

I was there from Tuesday to Friday last week for a work event. Most of the time I spent there was amazing, but on the last morning of my stay, I found several bugs on my bed. I’m almost certain they were bedbugs (see photos, I also have bite marks on my body), though I can’t confirm it with 100% certainty. I have mixed feelings about how the hotel handled the situation. They didn’t dismiss it right away and came to inspect the room, but their main concern seemed to be protecting the hotel’s reputation rather than helping me. They didn’t confirm that it was bedbugs, but they gave me garbage bags to wrap my carry-on, backpack, and winter coat. I was also asked few times that if I was in any other hotel before there, like it is my problem the room had so many bugs. I was left holding only my essentials, laptop, phone, and wallet, in my hands. When I asked for a tote or something else to carry my things, they offered the hairdryer pouch, which was way too small for my laptop. The odd part was when they said, “Oh, you can have this for free!” Like, great, it’s from a room full of bugs. In the end, the receptionists (who were actually very kind and concerned) found me a paper bag. So I had to leave the hotel with three garbage bags containing my belongings and a paper bag holding my work laptop, phone, and wallet. It was freezing outside, and my warm jacket was sealed in one of those bags. The whole situation was extremely awkward and embarrassing especially in front of my colleagues. The hotel staff told me pest control would come to inspect and that they would update me, but I haven’t heard anything since. I’d honestly be shocked if they publicly admitted to having bedbugs. Overall, the experience was bizarre and very uncomfortable. That issue aside, I genuinely had a great time and was looking forward to coming back. But even if it wasn’t bedbugs, it doesn’t change the fact that there were so many bugs on my bed and that I was left going back home in the cold holding my stuff in a paper bag.

Beautiful property, but we went in November so activities are limited on the property. Rooms are on the small side, along with the bathroom. Gym is good with squash court. Nice big pool. Breakfast buffet is amazing with great selection. The juice bar alone is worth it, with less common choices like carrot and blueberry juices.

Château Montebello: come for the history, stay because no one can tell you what’s open. We booked a “rustic” room on the Papineau 400 level (rusted, not rustic). The carpet hadn’t changed in over 30 years (we have photos from 30 years ago), now featuring bumps and pulls as if it were trying to form its own mountain range. The shower curtain had seen… things. Iron stains, mystery markings, and hair from what I can only assume were former guests who left a part of themselves behind. The toilet seat had clearly been through several administrations. When we checked out and mentioned the issues, the front desk shrugged with the enthusiasm of a wet log. The confusion didn’t stop there. We tried booking activities — told “no reservations needed,” then arrived and were told the opposite. We were promised curling every day, but apparently that meant only during mysterious “specific times.” Luckily, we managed to sneak in one day. The gym and squash courts were closed for construction — something that might have been worth mentioning before check-in, or at least in an email or by front desk staff. Meanwhile, contractors were wandering freely, leaving doors propped open in winter temperatures so the pool area could double as an unadvertised ice bath. The change rooms had mirrors hanging off the walls and an overall aesthetic best described as rough bar night chic. The concierge line might connect to another dimension, because it never gets answered, and the in-room phone seems to be for decoration only. Staff on-site had no idea what was open, when, or why. No activity board, no information, no in-room booklet — no clue, literally. Every question turned into a guessing game: • What time does the lobby bar open? Unknown. • Are activities running? Possibly. • Can you get a drink? Only if you’re in the right place at the right moment. The building itself is stunning and the setting is gorgeous — but the experience felt like Clue: The Resort Edition. Who’s serving dinner? Where’s the curling? Why is the pool freezing? Nobody knows, and management doesn’t seem to care. Then came the kicker — a charming, utterly coothless letter from management informing guests that the power might be cut off and that we could “purchase coffee” if our in-room machines didn’t work. Nothing says “luxury resort” quite like being told to buy your own caffeine while the hydro’s out. It’s not as if they own, say, multiple canteens and banquet halls designed for hosting events or anything. Even a few simple fixes — a touch of paint here, a bit more foam in the lobby cushions, and some actual communication — would go a long way. Would I stay again? Only if they start marketing it as a live-action mystery retreat.

We had a great experience here after Labour day weekend, great staff, and a beautiful property. Overall would recommend, but some things to be mindful of before booking What was not well communicated to us, and is something I think needs to be made clear during the booking process, is that certain amenities are unavailable after Labour day. The outdoor pool, kayaking/watersports, and the BBQ restaurant are amenities I (now) know for certain are closed after Labour day. It was a beautiful week so it was unfortunate that we could not use the outdoor pool. What was frustrating was that we had called to confirm and front desk staff said it was open. Proper communication will prevent disappointed guests, it is important that people can make informed decisions when making a reservation. The front desk staff did try and make this right for us, but improvements must be made in this area because I overheard a lot of guests who were disappointed about the same issue. We had some issues during our stay with our room, but these were dealt with quickly and effectively. Some of the rooms are aging, but I believe the hotel is in the process of updating rooms. During booking there are options for suites or updated rooms.

Decided to go back to the chantigniole for their Sunday brunch.(haven't went back since pre-pandemic) used to be the best brunch around. But it did change a little and unfortunately not for better. There was no sugar pie....the number one reason for the brunch....but also we decided (7 friends) to meet up at the foyer to enjoyed the beautiful fire place with some nice cocktails before the 13:30hrs brunch....nothing bar tender showed up....we showed up at 13hrs and it supposed to open at 11hrs....the c9ncierge gave us 3 free drinks...at that time we were 5 out of seven that had arrived....so we shirt strayed to see who would get the drinks...not impressed by the non challant way to deal with mistake that a "Fairmont" Hotel not making sure that all their guests are well taken care of... although we do appreciate the 3 drinks it would of been nice that all of us would of got compensated. Looking forward for the next experience.

What a gorgeous historical hotel. Its design is spectacular and the rooms are reminiscent of splendour and luxury. The entry with the multi sided fireplace is stunning. The linens were of great quality and we had a very comfortable stay. The resort has so many amenities and we cycled, played mini golf, forest bathed, and strolled through gorgeous surroundings. The dining and bar staff were not terribly attentive, but reception and the front entrance team were amazing. We loved our stay in this majestic and magical place and would love to return.

A beautiful setting with river views and a large private park, decent activities to please the family…the main lobby is also very welcoming and distinctive with its log cabin tower and giant hearth. All this is nevertheless very let down by subpar service throughout, very expensive prices for food and drinks, and worst of all pre-70s room standards feeling overall dirty and cheap: no ventilation, old smelly carpets everywhere, curtain type shower…for a premium price this is not acceptable. The pictures by the way vastly oversell the reality of the place. There is something here but think twice.

Very cool little Park. You could stop there if you take the 148 going east or west. We took it from Montreal to Gatineau and it was very scenic and this little place was like a picnic tables. Waterside wildlife quietness peaceful. Plenty of trees. Very beautiful. Very nice. There is history there and statues and art as well as plenty of picnic tables and parking. So turn in and come and check it out. It's worth it. It's really really cool. I would recommend it. We stopped there the other day and smoked a little one and it's really a cool place so I would recommend to go there for a picnic or just the chill. Yeah that's on route 148 between Montreal and Ottawa or gatino. So go there. Check it out and enjoy it and write a review about it if you like it. All right. Go

It seems to be a nice SEPAQ park but I only went to paddle board along the river. You can rent boards but I brought mine. Parking was free but you have to pay $10 to get into the park. The access to the river was right next to the parking so that is cool. However…my mistake to spend 2 hours paddling up stream…some areas the current was so strong it was hard to advance…this is due to the recent rain storms. So forget stopping because you flow back and waste all the hard work unless you want to hold onto a tree lol. I slugged it out to under the bridge. I wanted to get to the view of the falls but after 2 hours I caved and enjoyed the easy return. We took a drive to see the chute by car. I heard there are some nice walking trails but I didn’t use any to report. I hoped to be able to jump in for a swim but the water wasn’t appealing…very murky and brown. I much preferred Rivière rouge where we parked up river, flowed down with the current and taxied back…way more fun and the water is clear enough to see the bottom!

This national park is great. Amazing nature, caring staff, affordable price for renting kayak, bicycle, and canot. It was not very populated. We rented a kayak for two people, for one hour, just for $21. The bicycle for one hour is $18.5. The river for kayaking is amazing. There are three ways to go, and they are all perfect. The water does not flow, so it is suitable for kayaking. The parking is big and there is a lot of spots.

My favorite of Sepaq's parks. It's not too far from Montreal or Ottawa, and it's very peaceful. There are some great hiking trails and bike paths, but where this park shines in canoe/kayaking. They have sheltered bays , so the water is very calm and accessible to beginners. They even have some campsites where you can launch your boat directly into the water. The sites are on the small side, and some of them there's no cover between neighbor's. There is some sort of hall with tables inside, and this is also where some bathrooms and washing machines are located. There are other washrooms located near other campsites. Also, take note that during the off-season, you can only rent boats from the main reception and not the smaller dock near the campsites. Good idea to call and ask first.

Papanack Park Zoo

If you're looking for a unique and engaging experience, Papanack Park Zoo is the perfect destination. This charming zoo offers an array of fascinating animals, including monkeys, snow leopards, lemurs, owls, and crocodiles. Visitors can immerse themselves in learning about various habitats and intriguing animal facts while enjoying interactive moments with friendly sheep, goats, and llamas that eagerly approach you.
I don't understand the hate some people are giving to this zoo. Either they are too sensitive or they are just not aware of how to conserve animals in captivity. I love zoos and I have visited many around the world. While this may not be like the San Diego Zoo or the Toronto Zoo, as a family-run business, this place is a treasure for young people and animal lovers like myself. First of all, the place is a small sanctuary. I visited all the animals, and it took me around 2 hours to enjoy everything. It was a very hot day, so I didn't want to stay outside for too long. The animals looked well-fed, the lions looked healthy, and most were sleeping, but two of the African lions appeared to be playing. I loved the gibbons; they were playing tag with each other, and experiencing zebras up close felt like being in an African safari. The most unique experience in this zoo is getting really close to the animals. Sanctuaries like the Toronto Zoo are heavily protected by barriers, so you never get the feeling of being close. However, in this zoo, you will feel the breath of each animal. The place was very clean and there was no crowd. The animals looked happy to me. There were lots of seating areas throughout the zoo, and they had playgrounds for children at every corner. The only complaint I have is that there was no map of the zoo, and in some parts of the zoo, the vegetation is becoming a bit long, so trimming would make it more attractive. Other than this, I loved the small place and it is a great getaway for kids. My suggestion is to give this place a try and see if you like it. I loved the natural feeling of visiting this zoo, it felt like I was back in Thailand or Africa.

Papanack was never an incredibly amazing zoo, but the last time I went, about 7 years ago, it was a lot nicer looking than it is now! When we walked in to pay, the woman working the cash was incredibly rude when speaking to us. My client has a disability, and this woman looked at us as if we were not wanted. She also couldn't understand why a group of 6 of us were paying separately instead of together. We are all adults... We weren't holding up any lines either because there was no one else in the store. However, what's the point in acting up like a Karen, right? Hopefully, she had the day she deserves. The paths were rocky, and the rocks were sharp! There was mud and uneven ground everywhere. Some of the pet enclosures look like they need to be redone. There is no picnic area anymore either. The poor animals were baking in the hot sun. What happened to shaded areas? One of the animals got out of their enclosure, and we told the lady at the front, and she said it always happens and not to worry about it... and the goats were putting their heads under the fence. They could definitely get stuck or hurt. I'm sad about how horrible it looks now.

We have loved visiting this zoo for years, making wonderful memories with our children and parents. It's a beautiful place where we've enjoyed seeing and learning about the animals, especially in the summer and fall. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was rather disappointing. About 30 minutes in, our young children became fussy. Understanding their needs, we asked the staff at the counter if we could leave to feed and nap them, then return later in the day. The person at the counter assured us that they would be there all day and that re-entry would not be a problem. When we returned an hour and some before closing—well within the zoo’s stated policy for last entry—we were denied re-entry by the same staff member who had earlier confirmed that we could return. We were surprised and disappointed by this inconsistency. We understand that policies are in place for a reason, but clarity and consistency are essential, especially for families with young children. A simple acknowledgment of the misunderstanding or a willingness to honor what was initially stated would have gone a long way. We hope this feedback helps the zoo improve its communication with visitors, as we have many fond memories here and would love to see it continue to be a welcoming place for families.

I don’t know why this place is still even running, to even call this place a “zoo” is crazy. these animals are stuffed in wired fences with nothing but mud and sludge to walk around in, their “shelter” is literally just half assed wood huts & shipping containers. they have little to no entertainment or quality of life. not to mention how ugly this place is, driving by, it’s so ugly and it literally looks like someone ran to the hardware store, bought some chain wire fence and wood and locked some animals in their backyard. also just was extremely taken aback by the female lion that was locked in a SHIPPING CONTAINER with bars on it to keep her from getting out? this place is disgusting and id extremely encourage not letting them profit off of you and your children. we should not be giving these people any money, because even being open for YEARS they clearly haven’t used a penny of it to expand and give these animals a better life and environment. sickening to see that it’s even still up and running.

1. Availability of Maps: When I asked the front desk for a map of the place, I was informed that none was available. It would be very helpful to have a map at the front desk so visitors can take a picture of it with their cellphones to help navigate the area more easily. 2. Path Maintenance: The path to see the animals could use improvement. I suggest having at least 4 inches of gravel above ground level to prevent visitors' shoes from getting destroyed by muck, water, and slushy soil. 3. Quick Responses to Urgent Questions: There should be better efficiency in providing directions to essential facilities like washrooms. When I approached the front desk to ask for washroom directions, I had to wait for 5 minutes, which could have been answered in 2 seconds. This is particularly important as some visitors may have urgent needs. 4. Signage and Visitor Information: The signage for directions could be larger to improve visibility, especially for those who have difficulty reading from a distance. Additionally, it would be beneficial if the front desk staff provided a brief orientation, especially about the washroom locations, to every visitor during payment. 5. Washroom Facilities: There is a need for clean, well-maintained, and permanent washroom facilities on-site to ensure a comfortable experience for all visitors. Overall, these improvements would greatly enhance the visitor experience.

Animals are in a very poor condition, no food, no water for them to drink, super small spaces (the space is very poorly used.)we can feel and see how stressed they are. I do not recommend this place and I demand an inspection. This animals deserve to be well care.

Went today, yes some of the enclosures are small but what the hell do I know about their care, maybe they're just viewing enclosures and they're moved to other enclosures at different times. There seemed to be other much bigger enclosures that weren't accessible to the public. All of the enclosures we saw had little dens and lots of greenery for shade and to hide. As for water, I noticed a lot of natural source water. I thought the animals looked healthy, they were curious and interactive so they can't be that sad... ultimately it has greatly improved. There was also a bear and cheetah show where a handler was right there with the animals and the animals obviously loved her. I saw no signs of abuse. The cheetah was purring away and looked very healthy. Also there were people doing work on some of the enclosures. It's improving, and that's what matters. Portapotties were clean, gift shop is cute and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My 8 year old and 6 year old had an amazing day out. Thanks Papanack!

Very nice small zoo. Ottawa should be grateful to have it. African animals section is amazing. Wolves are really huge and awesome. Most of active animals have enough space. Maybe only birds like parrots should have more space to fly inside. Lions, wolves, bobcats and other big mammals have big open spaces for running. In overall, the impression is good. In rainy weather wear boots because some roads can get a little muddy.
