First time at Moonlight Amphitheater and we had a great time! Very easy parking, and lots of handicapped parking. The staff are very nice and accommodating, bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. There’s a grilled cheese place if you want a regular sandwich for $14 and their fries are excellent. You can take food in with you and your personal water bottle with whatever you want in it but don’t try to take in a wine bottle because they will stop you. There is a large seating area but it’s the “VIP” section so there are maybe 3 to 4 tables scattered elsewhere so take a blanket and have a picnic.

We recently attended the performance of Prince of Egypt. We really enjoyed the show. The music and choreography were great. There was a problem that did not leave us with a good feel. We’ve been attending the moonlight for many years and we’ve never had a problem like this before but, we noticed in our section. There was a huge gap in seating where there was no one sitting. When the show was about to start, we saw many other groups moving their chairs over so they could be closer to center stage. I don’t think that was a big deal since those areas were all empty. So my wife and I moved our two chairs over and before we sat down, we were approached by one of the staff who told us those seats were reserved. And we would have to go back to our original seating area. I guess that wouldn’t have been a big deal except after she asked us to leave, there was still other couples that were still moving their seats over to get a better advantage point. It was very obvious looking around that we were the only two Black people in the venue. I really gotta feel that that was the cause of the situation. Even though other couples were moving to get better seats, she immediately keyed into us and made us go back to our original seating. it gave us a strong field that we have been singled out because of our race. Photos of the empty seating area are attached. Those seats remained empty throughout the entire performance. After discussing it with my wife, we decided to attend the last show of our series this year and then never attend the moonlight again. This is unacceptable behavior from any company or venue. And from now on, I would not be referring or advising anyone to attend the moonlight amphitheater. Especially people of color. I give it two stars because the performance was great. But the social environment left us feeling very bad. I didn’t mind at all going back to our original seat because that’s what we paid for. It’s just very unfair to allow some and just allow others. I think there’s a word for that. It’s called discrimination.

This place is amazing. The layout is perfect, with easy (free) parking. Sound is flawless, and the lighting is fantastic. Beer and wine are available. You can bring your own water, but bottled is sold on-site, too. Very family-friendly with such a chill vibe.

The Moonlight Amphitheatre is a charming community theatre. I saw Fiddler on The Roof and it was my first and only show I've seen so far. They allow you bring in your own food and drink! People were picnicing while watching the show! So much fun. Love this place, it's a true gem. Keep up the good work Moonlight. Looking forward to attending more shows.

Very cool outdoor venue with Amazing productions! Even the lawn seats are good and they're fun for kids and teens. You can bring blankets and chairs to sit on the lawn, and bring a jacket when the nights get chilly no matter where you sit. Don't forget that you have to walk to the amphitheater a bit from the parking area! It's all downhill though, but on the way back to your car take the shuttle back because it's all uphill!

This is an absolutely amazing venue and every performance I’ve seen here over the years has been top notch. I especially love coming here with a group of friends and enjoying a picnic dinner before the show in the reserved lawn seating or on the grassy knoll. Both locations provide excellent views of the stage. I’ve also tried the grilled cheese and cookies at the food court which were delicious and fairly priced.

I love outdoor theater. The performances are always excellent. I read the reviews about the restaurant and it got fantastic reviews for the sandwich place. I thought the food was OK. Next time I go. I’m going to take my own food or eat ahead of time.

Fun for kids. Get there early or bring your own chair. Shady areas but you need to get there early if you have a large family. Great staff, cheap eats.

The Wave holds such a nostalgic place in my heart...I used to come here as a kid in the early 2000s, and now my own son takes swim classes and attends birthday parties here. It’s definitely a small, community-focused waterpark, but it has everything you need for a fun day: clean facilities, plenty of lifeguards, a lazy river, and a variety of slides. They also offer life jackets for younger kids or anyone who needs them, which gives an extra layer of comfort for parents. Entry is pretty affordable, usually around $15–$20, and they offer season passes if you plan to go often. When you need a break from the water, there are snack options like pizza slices and even a small shop where you can pick up goggles or pool toys. It’s not fancy or modern, but it’s reliable, friendly, and perfect for a family day out.

First time come visit here for water fun for our daughter. She loves it so much, the place is really nice, clean and organized .

We had a birthday party here and it was a wonderful experience. They were extremely organized and helpful any time I had a question. Once we arrived, our guests were able to come in easily, food was surprisingly really yummy, and having all the lifeguards around made it really enjoyable as a parent. The facilities were clean and it kept our 13 year old group entertained for hours. Highly recommend!

Great water park for all. He had our daughter's bday party everything was great except getting charged to bring our own cake?!? Also having a better check in process for groups that don't all show up at the same time would be good.

It was $11 for the last two hours that the park was open! The slides were extremely fast and fun and reminded me of other parks where I've paid $50+ to go. Parking is free, lockers are small but $5, and the employees were nice and chill. My husband and I spent less than $27 for everything! A great place to spend some time at!

Nice park.It has something for everyone.And there was plenty of parking when I got there first thing in the morning.Plenty of life guards that actually walk a routine and make sure nothing is happening.So your kids are totally safe.

We were a group of six, ages 3 to 63, and everyone of us found something to love here. Obviously we couldn't do as thorough of explore as we would have wanted but WOW this place is AMAZING. Incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable volunteers are there to answer questions. The models are varied and so well presented. The Craftsmanship Museum is a real treasure!

Hidden Gem in Carlsbad – A Must-See for All Ages I stumbled upon the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum in Carlsbad, CA, and was completely blown away. Tucked inside a small commercial area, this museum rivals exhibits you'd expect to find in Balboa Park or other major institutions. The level of detail and true artistry on display is unbelievable. Every piece is a testament to lost craftsmanship and engineering excellence. I spent about two hours exploring, but honestly, you could spend days here and still not absorb everything. What makes it even more special is the team behind it—dedicated volunteers who are incredibly friendly and eager to share knowledge. To top it all off, admission is completely free, though donations are encouraged (and absolutely deserved). This kind of craftsmanship is a dying art. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit—and please consider donating to help preserve this amazing space for future generations.

We were nervous about visiting this museum because the website said that most kids under 13 would not enjoy it. Well, we completely disagree! I took 3 families here with a total of 7 kids and everyone loved this museum. There was a 3D printer, scavenger hunts, planes, boats, cars, engines, cranes, miniature doll houses, a model of the Capital building in Washington D.C., and so much more. The scavenger hunts came in multiple difficulties from pictures to fill in the blanks. We found a chef slipping on a banana peel, counted all the cats in the 3-story doll house, found grandpa in the bathroom, viewed one of the fastest remote controlled cars, saw all sorts of moving machines and parts, found the London Bridge, etc. Just be aware that the doll house with the old saloon is as high as it is for a reason... don't lift the kiddos up to peer into the second story (or else they will see a topless call girl waiting for a payer). Otherwise, I did not notice any content inappropriate for kids. I do wish the teaching on machinery and engines was a bit more child approachable, with possibly an area that kids were allowed to touch everything, and maybe kids had the challenge of building a machine or miniature of their own. All of our kids left with 3D printed geckos which were a hit. Overall, this was a fun museum to spend an hour or two (if you have kids, that is all they will handle because controlling themselves not to touch is taxing). Remember to stay with your children at all times to make sure they do not touch anything... and don't forget to fill out the scavenger hunt to earn your surprise. Take the time to talk to any workers using the machines as they are very knowledgeable. Donations are appreciated to keep this museum running... so if you had fun, please donate!

Run by very kind gentlemen, explaining things when you have questions and willing to do demonstration of the exhibits. It's an amazing place, ideally, you should take time to see all the details to really enjoy. I had the time of my life.

Incredible collection of some of the finest miniature homes, aircraft, ships, engines, etc. anywhere in the world! Plan on spending a couple of hours here. The docents are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They do have demonstrations periodically. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and plan to return in the future. A great visit for ALL ages. A small gift shop is on site, too. Free to visit but they do appreciate donations. Do yourself and your budding engineer a huge favor by stopping here. Plenty of parking as well as handicap friendly.

This free museum displays a pleathera of miniature hand-made builds of a wide range of vehicles, aircraft, ships, trains, spacecrafts and work vehicles. Most modules were crafted by ameture builders fabricating all the detailed parts from raw materials taking years to complete. The Museum also includes mini weapons, tools, and vintage toys. Along with a section on wood working crafts, including doll houses and finally crafted toothpick structures of historic structures and wood-worked toys and a scale module of the DC Capital building. A treat for all ages. Friendly Volenteer staff are ready to greet you and answer questions. Donations are gladly accepted and photography is welcome.

Such a beautiful place to visit. So big and so much to see. I love all the plants too. There was a lot of spots blocked off and closed. There’s also wasn’t any peacocks to see which was disappointing.

A cute little historic ranch with some ties to old Hollywood. You can go inside most of the small adobes, take a short nature walk and see some wild peacocks on the grounds. There wre also pecial events, such as classic movie nights, which are free with reservations.

Their upkeep on the grounds is excellent both the landscaping and the housing. It's amazing you can walk around these grounds for free.

Do not miss this beautiful, well preserved ranch! You could easily spend 2+ hours here. Very popular for class field trips. Since there is a dirt parking lot (with at least 4 handicap spaces) they do close after heavy rains. Best to call ahead to see if they are open. Numerous clean, modern restrooms. Paths for wheelchairs are clearly marked. Areas for picnics are available to reserve, too. There are some elevation changes but manageable for most. Don't miss!

It was fun to see the wild peacocks that hang out at this park, and learn the history of Leo Carillo and how this actor used this ranch as a second home to get away from Hollywood in the 1930s and beyond.

I didn't see a single peacock here. This place is on tightly-packed dirt, so your shoes and the bottom of your pants will get dirty. You can see the historic home of the original owner, but sadly, you cannot go inside as they are locked and closed. You only see them from the outside. There is nothing to do here other than walk under the sun (hardly any shade), and that's it. They do have nice, clean bathrooms. I wouldn't recommend this place. Definitely not a fun place for kids, either, in my opinion. You can walk through this whole place in 15 minutes. The best part, for me, was seeing the plants.

Always enjoyed our visit here at the ranch! We started visiting in 2020 when the pandemic started. The ranch is spacious and open. This provides ample of distance between our family and others. There are many benches and tables for people to have a picnic and kids to run around. It was fun and educational to walk around and see the architecture of the houses. The best time to visit is March to June. One can hear and see wild peacocks in the ranch. Local residents may not like to hear them because the peacocks are really loud during mating season but it is a joy to many to see the beautiful birds. Did I say that these are wild birds? Please don’t feed the birds and respect their space!!!

Bernardo winery is a wonderful place to spend the day. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and it feels like a small village. The tasting room looks rustic, it is always cool inside, the staff if very friendly and knowledgeable. There i a gelato/sweet shoo, an Italian eatery, a coffee shop and various gift shops, too. The food from the Italian kitchen is outstanding; we especially loved the mussels and the Arancini.

Wonderful scenery, staff, and wine. On top of that, the food was perfect for a night of sipping and strolling. One of the best wineries we’ve been to on the west coast 🍷

We love the Bernardo Winery! It is one of our favorite places to relax for brunch or an early dinner. The ambience is unmatched. We’ve long since grown out of our college bar/party phase, so a visit here this is a fantastic way to decompress after a long week or to bring family and friends when they come into town. The food is excellent! The portion size for the fries is fantastic. I love to get a salad plus a side of fries to share with whoever I’m with, and maybe a pizza. The wine pours for the tastings are generous. The only thing I’ve ordered and not been crazy about was the bruschetta because it had olives and pistachio which I wasn’t a huge fan of. The best part about our visits to the Bernardo winery are walking around the shops after. It is incredibly romantic too! Especially during sunset. At night, there are outdoor heaters that make it very cozy too. If I could leave 10 stars I would!

I recently officiated a wedding at the Bernardo Winery. It was my first time to this venue and it did not disappoint! The grounds were beautiful and very private. The greenery was well kept and the ceremony area was beautiful. Loved the cocktail area, it was shaded and perfect for hanging out. What a great place to get married - thank you Bernardo Winery for a wonderful experience - I hope I am back there soon!

I really wish they would care about the customer experience here. It's such a beautiful winery, in an ideal location. I've personally been visiting for the last 15 years. Many additions have happened throughout that time but the dismissiveness of their employees continues. Specifically the employees in the tasting room, it seems as they are being forced to work there with zero enjoyment. That along with their food ordering system, table hunting, fetching your beverage from a separate building from someone who looks annoyed cannot be the final system - its a shame.

Really weird visit on a Saturday afternoon. The tasting room was closed and there was a little bar set up outside to the left. Looks like they were doing that for awhile but no signage. A man walked over from an outdoor table where he was sitting with a couple of others and asked us what we wanted. No menu and there were only two bottles of wine opened. Both reds, no whites. No wine tastings. I had to ask how much it was for each glass. I was told it's $10. Wine was ok. We came to look at the art anyways. A very eclectic collection and fun to walk around. This place has definitely gone downhill since I was last there a few years ago. There's a giant chest board that's literally falling apart with holes in the floor. The place looks a little unkept now, which is sad to see.

Experience: five stars. Wine: three. My boyfriend and I came for sunset and a tasting. Service was excellent. The setting was romantic and interesting with all the art. The cheese plate was delicious. I want to give this place five stars, but a winery with wine that disappoints can't quite pull that off. But if you don't go for the wine, you'll have an incredible experience. We will be going back!

What I think is happening with all the 5 star reviews for this winery is that they're all based on the Art and atmosphere. Which are incredible and I definitely encourage everyone to check this winery out for that sole purpose. However, one must also leave a review in regards to service and the wine itself. Upon finding the random corner for a tasting, the guy said it was over and the two remaining bottles on the counter was what was left. I asked if I could purchase a new bottle and he said he would open it up and let us buy a glass. We finally sat down to enjoy our wine and I refrained from spitting it up on the ground. It was horrible! I would give this place 3 stars if it weren't for the unique surprise and surroundings. See this winery, yes. Drink the wine, if you're used to box wine from your youth I suppose.

This place is just a really cool ambiance with interesting statues and art all over the premise. They have some food and plenty of wine options as well. All with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.

Last year and again this year- online says open at 11am. No would answer the phone both times gates stayed closed. A local said these people are not opening every day. Sad this place is what we wanted to visit again while camping. Long drive from campground to wait there with no1 opening..we have lost our interest in seeing all the at work.

A very fun experience and a beautiful area to come and explore. The trains are great it's a short circuit but you get to go around twice and they have three different engines.

Took a walk around the park after eating at the Hamburger Factory. Never seen this before. Cute park! Well taken care of. It was a nice walk.

Steam locomotive ride was a big hit with families with small children but be prepared to wait due to the long line. The gazebo featured singers singing railroad themed songs. Historic house and museum were interesting to visit.

Old poway park has history, creativity is a very interesting place to enjoy. Have a picnic areas and food places around it. Plus a great I will call mini train with is very atractive to raids with friend family and children. I love the experience

This is an Awesome place to take the kids, walk your dog etc. The little creek is nice, The big trees offer great shade, the picnic tables and BBQs are great for picnics. On Saturday is a Wonderful Farmer's Market and the Ole train runs around the park.

I’m so glad I visited this historical part of Poway. Monday morning and no one else there except a few people walking their dog. 🐶

Great place for everyone! Took my little girl and the park is nice all by itself. Plus it has added bonuses. If you go on the right day (schedule on website) you can ride the little train for only a couple of dollars. Additionally, the park has several really nice public grills and picnic tables, that would be great for a family or a group. Several restaurants walkable nearby too. Totally worth checking out.

Prepare for a hike. This is a wonderful beach. Yes its a nude beach. Everyone there was friendly. Not everyone was nude. No one was judging and everyone was friendly. The beach is clean and good sized. Has volleyball courts and is easy to walk up and down the shore. Be sure to be ready for the hike down and back up. The cliff is steep but there is a man made path with stair. I suggest good footwear and bring extra water.

Beautiful spot. Not a ton of people. Yes, it is a nude beach. Couple very talkative guys but everyone was nice and respectful. Would go again. A LOT of stairs, A LOT! lol if you don’t mind a hike back to the top, I would highly recommend this beach.

Really breathtaking high ground views, nude people walking by the shore but not much, cafe by the parking lot too. Great area for the breeze and sunsets

This beach is amazing, but the bathrooms are pretty bad. It’s not really a public area, but you can still enjoy a nice walk along the shore. There’s a small town up the hill, which makes the view even better. The beach part is open to everyone and that’s what makes it worth visiting. You can park your car in the lot and easily walk down to this spot. I’d recommend bringing some snacks and water, and maybe stay for sunset. It’s a chill place to relax and enjoy the ocean.

Hands down to this beach. It is unbelievably stunning! There is a bar/cafe and paragliding field before you hike down to the beach. Going back up was tiring but it’s worth it. As tourists in this place, we were surprised by nude beach goers, at first it was awkward for us but people seemed didn’t care about our skin and we got comfortable eventually. The water and sand were beautiful as well as the cliff and paragliding views. Definitely, it becomes one of our favorites and hopefully we can come back soon.

The hike down is part cardio, part “oops I almost slipped” so bring good shoes or take the stairway… the cliffs, waves, paraglides, sky and of-course the freedom to let it all hang out.

Absolutely amazing experience! I was paired up with a very experienced and fun pilot, Alex. He made me feel completely comfortable and safe. But he did some tricks and let me take over for a few minutes as well. The view and the feeling of soaring with the birds is hard to describe. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Do call to check the winds or go early and sign up then hike around the area and come back when you see gliders going up. Brought my gopro and got great video. But they also will take pics of you. Tuesday and Thursday if you pay cash you get those free.

Great walking trails. Loved this. Also access to the beach via stairs. It's a long walk down. Beautiful homes on the cliffs. It's not a difficult hike up and down, but a lot of fun.

Under construction right now beautiful place to walk our dog take a hike have a little snack and listen to the bands that come and play there. Great place to take the kids for the afternoon

Visited this spot to watch the hang gliders and hike the dirt paths. We followed the winding dirt path down to Black’s Beach where we walked along the water averting our eyes from the nude sunbathers. If you aren’t aware, the nudity at Black’s Beach will catch you by surprise. Everyone was minding their own business though, so it was no big deal. The hike back up the cliff was exhausting with the many stairs and steep incline. We stopped by the cafe for some lemonade and then rested on the upper deck while the hang gliders came and went. Watching the whole process over and over made it look easy and very safe. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. The bathrooms were closed when we visited, but there were portapotties available. Mid-day on a Tuesday, the parking lot was pretty full, but I was able to find a spot close to the entrance. I don’t recommend visiting right after a car wash because the parking lot is very dusty and bumpy. The flights are $200-$275 per person for a 20 minute ride and I believe they offer free photographs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Otherwise, you have to pay for the photos they take. Might have to return soon to check “hang gliding” off of my bucket list!

The glider port is a friendly place. I'll be at a little difficult to navigate If it's your first time. Nothing beats the views where you get a up close experience with the pairagliders landing and taking off. Good food and libations can be found as well. There's plenty of trails along the cliffs around the Gliderport.

Great area for family. However they don’t seem to keep up with the playgrounds. They are covered in spider webs. A quick power washing would help this. From the of it it has not been serviced in a while. I would think to prevent spider bites for kids they would. Also 3 big wasp nest in the bathroom. Looks like they haven’t been cleaned from critters as well.

Our family has been coming here for about 4 decades. It's a nice place to take a walk and let the kids ride bikes safely. Lots of parks and overall pretty clean. One thing I have noticed on our last few visits was that it is becoming more evident that people live here full time. I don't care about someone's living arrangements, but it's a bit strange when it starts looking like a swap meet with random kitchen appliances laying around while the rangers tidy up and rake patterns into the lot next door. Also, I've never noticed people smoking before in the camping section, but this last trip, there were several.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve is one of the true treasures of East County — a place where nature, recreation, and community come together. Their volunteer work and behind-the-scenes help with the Santee Street Fair mean so much, and it's just one example of their ongoing commitment to making Santee a better place to live and play. We’re incredibly thankful for all they do!

We just go to Santee Lakes for picnics, and sometimes to just walk around. There is an entry fee to park inside, but you can also walk in if you park out on the street close to the entrance. On some weekends it's actually easier to park on the street for free than to look for parking in the lake parking areas, so we usually just stick to the street parking. It's nice here, the lakes look clean, grass is nice and well maintained, and the bathrooms are good. I enjoy coming here.

The man on duty driving the parks truck on Sunday was way too aggressive and driving like a crazy person. He needs to relax and realize families are here to enjoy the park. I hope he’s not armed, he seems unstable. This was Sunday 9/7/25, 3:30pm

I've been to these lakes 5 times.. paid the fees to fish and never caught a single fish. I've come on the day after they "stocked" the lake.. or when they claim they stocked the lakes and not ever a nibble. There are way too much grass in the lake and not enough fish. I wonder if they even stock the lake when they say they do. I've fished lake 3, 4 and 5. I've done night fishing when they had it. I've tried all kinds of fishing styles. I might as well have drove up, thrown my money into the lake and gone home.

Last summer my grandkids wanted to try out fishing. I bought a pole for each grandkid and all I wanted to do was supervise and teach them how to fish. I did not have a fishing pole nor was I fishing. Why did I get charged an adult rate to fish, especially when lots of people sneak in without paying. Hmmm

Viejas is a beautiful Casino. The chandeliers and lighting are exquisite. The rooms are beyond beautiful and the decor is priceless. They have many new slots I've never seen before with high end graphics. The only thing I found odd was that we were not allowed to use the refrigerator even though we had purchased the food at Viejas. But all and all a fantastic place. I highly recommend it. The snack shop has a lots of healthy food and is open all nite and is very reasonable. I found an interesting way to get up there rather than just taking 8 frwy. There's alot of side roads that offer beautiful scenery and no traffic at all.

I feel like I'm at home whenever I visit Viejas Casino. Atmosphere is so casual & friendly. But you can dress in the finest too & feel very comfortable. Great selection of games & there promotions & free offers are outstanding. The whole surrounding area is so Serene and a beauty to look at. I feel very tranquil looking at the scenes from anywhere at Viejas. The rooms are outstanding. Very clean throughout the whole place. And every staff member are so nice, friendly & helpful. I felt like family & like I belonged. And plenty of great places to eat with some of the best food I've ever eaten.

I Actually Like This Casino, Hotel & Outlet Center. I Definitely Had A Good Time In Casino With My Friends From LA. I Definitely Found Some Good Sale's @ The Gap. We Had Lunch @ The Grab & Go. A three sounds about right for this one. The staff is nice in all departments. The variety of slots are nice. The variety of table games isn't the great compared to others. Food is really good. Did have a problem with the pool at The Willow. I don't know how they would let someone bring glass candles to the pool. They had to shut down the pool and re drain it. I do recommend this location to other as long as an incident does happen like that again.........

We didn't stay at the hotel, we went for the ZZ Top concert. The only service we used was at the bar. Great service and a generous pour. The venue is nice under the stars but the folding chairs you sit on were not at all comfortable. They are zip tied together so you can't move them which makes sense, but the main issues are: The chairs are too close together, I was shoulder to shoulder with the guy next to me, not comfortable. The other issue with the seating is there is no center aisle. Our seats were in the middle so to get out, I would have go past about 22 people! Seriously, the rows had 45 chairs in the row and we were 23. Great seats for the concert and ZZ Top was amazing! They still got it. Loved the concert, venue, not so much.

I love this casino.... especially playing "2cent whales of cash" and the workers are nice..... they do have alot of informants walking around trying to snap a quick picture of you , acting like they are on the phone, knowing dam well theres nobody on the other end of the line.....

Coming from a NorCal avid casino goer, this was a very good casino and only 40 minutes from SD. Rooms were a little cramped and the floor had a ton of machines only feedback was the weird layout. Food options were great as well as a 24hr grab and go.

The Levi Store staff was attentive and very helpful. They were busy but everyone seemed to be satisfied with the staff.

There weren't that many stores of various brands, but there was a Nike Clearance outlet, so I shopped very cheaply. There were only a lot of restrictions on size, but it's highly recommended for those who wear a big size. I bought shoes, hats, and many other products at a low price. Please check it out

I'm not sure what happened to the outlets. They used to be busy and full of stores. They still have some stores but nothing like it had before. I honestly won't waste my time on the outlets and head right to the casino instead. The casino is really nice and worth the trip. Just an additional note: during the holiday season they have an outdoor ice rink to skate at.

After visiting for the first time in the year 1999, we came back in 2024. Still very good for a stop in-between.

We had a wonderful time visiting the animal sanctuary and were happy to contribute by purchasing some donation items for the zoo. It was heartwarming to see the rescued animals being cared for, although it was sad to learn that many had been mistreated in the past. The highlight of our visit was getting tickets to feed the animals, which was an unforgettable experience. Visitors could choose to feed lions, bears, or tigers. My husband chose to feed a lion, which seemed to be the most popular option. Unfortunately, the first couple in line took a long time feeding the lion, so by the time it was our turn, we were only allowed to feed it three times. While we understand the staff needs to regulate feeding portions, it would have been nice if they managed the time more equally for everyone. This sanctuary is best suited for visitors 18 and older, as feeding the animals is an activity reserved for adults. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the venue itself is unique and versatile. It’s a cool place to host events or simply relax while spending time with the animals. We’re looking forward to staying overnight next

We can't say enough good things about the amazing work done at Lions, Tigers & Bears on Alpine, CA, just 40 minutes from downtown San Diego. It's a truly certified & accredited sanctuary - no touching the animals, no photos next to them, they are in huge enclosures with grass and dirt under their paws, and may live out their rescued lives in peace. I have close-ups of the animals, but you don't see the huge areas they live in that mimic their natural habitat as much as possible. The white tiger in with the orange tiger, we saw them when they were almost babies and maybe 20lbs, they are now 150lbs. We always see something different each time we go. Being a member is a great way to go often. San Diego is lucky to have the Zoo & Safari Park out here, but Lions, Tigers & Bears is another not to miss experience if you are nearby. These are wild animals that have been saved from lives of abuse - like two of the lions rescued from that Tiger King scum. Lions, Tigers & Bears help save 70 of all his Tigers and found accredited homes for the other 68 felines. Did you know white tigers are from specific purposeful inbreeding and they have eye and health issues due to it - pretty yes, but WRONG to be bred like that. They also just got a "liger" (pics 13&14) - purposefully bred lion & tiger - WRONG!!! So many health problems. Poor thing. In person, we could see her very faint tiger stripes. She is getting used to seeing people go by and acclimating to the sanctuary. Never stop at an unsanctioned or non-accredited roadside "zoo," nor anything involving wild animal petting, ANY animal circus, animal fights, exotic animal "hunting," or where animals are chained up and/or in small, concrete floor enclosures. Those are not safe for the animals - tell your kids "no" and that you'll take them to a real, safe zoo or sanctuary (and always check their credentials). And if it is a domestic animal farm, still look for cleanliness, do the animals look well feed, humane conditions, no choke-chains, antagonizing, or other harsh behavior. Stop by and see the Lions, Tigers & Bears whenever you can - it should be on everyone's SoCal experience list!

The pre tour video is a bit long, and the story is sad as it describes the poor treatment the animals received in the movie and circus industries, as well as by prior individual owners. However the animals are well treated now and the volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable l. They clearly care about the animals. The tour guide on Saturday is a school teacher and did an amazing tour! Everyone in our family enjoyed the visit. A great value.

It was a great experience! You have to buy your ticket in advance, because the experience consists of an organized tour (1.5 hrs), and then you can roam the grounds on your own. Eddie the Jaguar was amazing. The sanctuary was very clean, with well-maintained enclosures and spaces that made both the animals and visitors feel safe and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to answer questions or provide more information about the animals and their stories. You can also feed some of the animals, which is cool. The sanctuary itself was beautiful, set amidst picturesque surroundings that added to the peaceful atmosphere. It was easy to get to as well. Large highways most the way, and NO winding mountain roads, which is nice. I left feeling inspired and grateful for the work the sanctuary is doing. It’s a perfect place for animal lovers and families. However, small children may not like some of the images of abused animals during the 20-minute video at the beginning of the tour. Great experience. Highly recommend!

The park is very clean, and the animals are well taken care of. The website says to wear comfortable shoes as the paths are dirt. A more accurate description is that the pathways are gravel and sand and slippery. Had I known, I would have worn hiking boots. I slipped as I was walking down a hill on the way to my car and sprained my wrist. Badly. Railings or steps should be installed around the property. The terrain is uneven and gravelly. More attention should be paid to the people who visit and not just the animals.

My husband and I visited the sanctuary from the east coast as part of a week long vacation in California. Even though this was only two hours of our trip, it’s all we’re still talking about now that we’re home. We did the Feed With a Keeper tour and had Chris as our volunteer guide. I was impressed with how passionate and knowledgeable she was about the animals. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. We even got to talk to Bobbi briefly and the lead keeper, Cody. Our tour was closer to 3 hours, even though we only paid for 2. She wanted to make sure we had plenty of opportunity to meet and feed all the amazing animals. Being that close to and interacting with the big cats and bears was absolutely awe inspiring and I’ll never forget it. I work in the animal behavior field and spent many years working in an animal shelter and was impressed with the care and enrichment the animals at the sanctuary received. Truly a special place. I wish we lived closer, we would come back again and again!

This is a review based on a recent, highly disappointing visit to SeaWorld San Diego. Having been excited to return after four years, I found the park has severely lost its charm. The most frustrating issue is the value proposition: they still charge a premium price of $130+ for a single-day ticket, yet a significant number of rides were non-operational. To make matters worse, the park now employs various cheap and manipulative tactics to extract more money. They fail to disclose upfront that many of the major rides require an additional $6 fee per person to ride, a charge you can only bypass by buying an expensive annual pass. Furthermore, their advertised "bonus ticket" offer is a complete fraud. They print on the website that a single-day ticket grants you a bonus ticket valid throughout the year. However, upon trying to claim it, they immediately hide behind fine print, claiming it's at their discretion when the ticket is issued within the year. They even resort to actively tracking guests—if you visit with a friend the very next day, they know you've already been and will suddenly issue the bonus ticket, making it impossible to use for the very next visit you planned. This deceptive behavior feels like a complete betrayal of the customer. Finally, a major warning for families: if your child is under 42 inches tall, it honestly doesn't make sense to go. The vast majority of the rides have a 42-inch height minimum, meaning you will pay full price for a child who can't enjoy most of the attractions. Between the broken rides, the deceptive pricing schemes, and the outright fraudulent bonus ticket policy, SeaWorld San Diego is no longer worth the visit.

It's a beautiful place. Not overhyped. Most rides and attractions were operating. Relatively clean park. It is overpriced but ok if you get an annual pass and can return over and over again for a year for that price ($99-230 I think). Customer service is really not top notch when it comes to dealing with the benefits and perks for Platinum and annual card holders. Get your systems in order or choose either online or face to face only for printing cards. Food is overpriced but good. Maybe have roaming staff that helps people find their way. Get rid of those vendors that charge $5-35 per game. Clean the kiddie pard and baby coral a bit. Okay sorry for the over analysis. I love Sea World. I may spend more time than I should there and really am stating every problem I could think of. It's such a fun place and staff are really happy to be there. The animals and sea creatures seem calm and playful.

This park had very friendly staff, it was clean and well maintained. The rides were fun and I enjoyed the orca and dolphin shows. It received 3⭐️for the following reasons: 1) The park was open until 7:00pm but there were quite a few attractions s that closed at 5:00 or 6:00 and at least one - the Jellyfiah - were supposed to close at 6:00 but they closed it at 5:30. There really needs to be some notification on the website when you buy tickets (not I. The fine print if it’s there at all). And it also wouldn’t be hard to put it on the app. 2) The food was exorbitantly expensive for what you received. The chicken sandwich, for example, was $18 plus tax and was a bun, chicken patty, and two pickle slices. It can with a side of fries but we’re definitely not a ‘large’ fry. Paying amusement park prices for food is expected but at least make the food worth the price. Overall I would go back but I would definitely verify the actual park hours and bring your own food if it’s allowed.

This place is amazing, the park is clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Only addition that would have been awesome to see on at the park is designated areas for service dogs to relieve themselves at. Like a small little tiny classy area with a small fence and gate where you can let your service dog relive themself like they have at Disney and Knott's Berry farm. Other than that the park is amazing.

I was curious about Seaworld because I wanted to see the orcas. Seaworld has stopped its breeding program and the remaining orcas will be its last. I went on a Friday and the place wasn’t too crowded or busy. If you plan to come here, I would recommend visiting the attractions and checking their showtimes and plan around their shows. They don’t have a physical map and their app is a little hard to navigate with to figure out where you are in the park. They have water tanks where you are able to touch the sea creatures like the spotted shark and manta rays. They also had booths where you could purchase feeding trays for $10 to feed the creatures but they were all closed during my visit. Seaworld is quite small compared to the SD zoo and I didn’t realize but it is an amusement park with rides. You aren’t allowed to bring bags to the rides so you’ll have to rent a locker to store them or have someone hold onto it. Can’t comment on the rides since I didn’t go on any of them but being an extra change of clothes in case you get wet. The orca show lasts about 20 minutes where you’ll be able to see orcas do tricks and splash you. I would recommend getting there about 20 minutes beforehand if you want to sit in the center. They have rows labeled as “wet zone” so avoid if you don’t want to get wet. If you want a more personalized experience, I would recommend the “close up encounters” but it is quite expensive. They can range from $100-$500. We paid for a beluga whale experience that lasted about 15 minutes, where meet the whales and they allow you to touch the animals and chat with trainers. It was a nice experience especially since I wasn’t able to see them in their tanks. Overall, I would skip Seaworld if you are only here for the animals.

Took my son here for his birthday and we had a really good time! It can be expensive but options such as the all day dining make it worthwhile! There was no long lines and the staff was very friendly. We went around the Halloween season and there was a lot of activities to do and the kids were able to dress up in their Halloween costumes and go trick or treating at certain stations! Overall, an experience I think every child should experience at least once!

The animals are amazing! The shows we saw were good. We love seeing the orcas and sea lions. The issue with this park was the we got there at 10 when it opened, our ticket said go to guest relations for the all day dining wristbands, we qued up for them and when we got seen they said no, go to the restaurant directly. Only 1 restaurant was open until 11am. Then we thought ok let’s go on some rides but most of them were not working until after 12. Maybe we got unlucky? We did eventually go on all the rides. Parking was easy but $35

The outside of the hotel & resort may not look like much, but the room was amazing! We got a deluxe queen with two very comfortable beds. The room came with a mini fridge, several complimentary bottles of waters and a full set of nice toiletries. The shower was just incredible! I visited the spa. My massage therapist, Cory, was superb! Definitely a fair price for the quality of service. The sauna and steam room were lovely, but the hot tub was strangely constructed. If you sat on the benches built in to the hot tub, the water would be up to your neck. Wonderful relaxation room! Finally, while the gaming floor is lively and has lots of slots, the games were super tight. Unfortunately it didn't take long to go through my play money. I'd certainly come back for the amenities, but the gambling is better in Vegas.

It's always so much fun doing a staycation close to home. When your staying here you feel like your on vacation, from the pool to the dining we really love getting away just for a night or 2 here. We went for a Thursday night concert at the pool and had so much fun, a nice up close venue for sure. We followed that up with a relaxing pool day with prefect weather. * I will also add a review of the steakhouse separately.

Meetup continues to allow groups and event organizers to operate even when they retaliate against individuals who report discrimination or mistreatment. By allowing these organizers to continue using the platform without investigation or accountability, Meetup is enabling an environment where racism and discriminatory behavior is tolerated. Meetup advertises itself as a platform to “build inclusive communities,” yet in practice it does not enforce those standards. When discrimination is reported, the burden is placed entirely on the person who experienced it, while organizers face no review, no compliance checks, and no consequences. This is unacceptable and places users at risk. I am requesting the following: A formal internal review of the group and organizer involved. Confirmation that Meetup will open a case and investigate the discrimination and retaliatory conduct. A written outcome or explanation of the enforcement measures taken. You are responsible for the safety of your users and the public environments your platform facilitates. Failing to address discrimination is not negligence—it is complicity. I expect a written response acknowledging this complaint and confirming that a case has been opened.

From the moment I arrived, Sycuan Casino truly lived up to its legendary reputation for service. Even though valet was full, the attendant went out of his way to guide me to the best parking spot closest to the entrance. I was in awe of how clean and well-kept the entire hotel was. At the pool check-in, I was greeted by an associate who helped me get settled. The highlight of my poolside experience was the hostess, Hailee. She was incredibly attentive and kind, making sure all my questions were answered and that I had plenty of cold water throughout the day. This is exactly the kind of service that makes you feel valued and comfortable. After a relaxing day at the pool, I headed to the casino to sign up for a players card. Deshauna at the players club absolutely blew me away with her enthusiasm and warmth. When I told her it was my first time visiting, she celebrated with me and even gifted me a complimentary sunshade, which completely made my day. Her genuine excitement and care left such a lasting impression that I couldn’t help but rave about my experience to others. Sycuan has mastered the art of hospitality and legendary service. From parking to poolside to the players club, every detail was handled with care. I am already planning my next visit to include an overnight stay.

This casino/resort was the best place we've stayed in years. So clean, very kind people that will assist you with whatever you need. Food and Entertainment 100% as well as the pool and cabana area. We will definitely go back in the near future.!!!

I lost a $300 voucher, and was fortunate enough to run into Jonathan and Neil. I let them know what happened, and they were ON IT!!! They took time out of their busy schedule to cater to the situation, investigate quickly, and has my money back within 10 minutes! They were both kind of professional, and totally saved the night. I hope they somehow get recognized for this! I can't thank you guys enough!

The rooms are nice. And pool area is great with the lazy river. It’s also a plus that’s there’s no kids allowed. Food is mediocre, but it’s also a resort in the middle of nowhere, so to be expected. I will say that service and general information from staff is extremely inconsistent. When you call depending on who u speak with you get different information. And it’s the same with the staff on-site. No one is on the same page. Staff training is very lacking. But if you don’t care so much about the service then, it shouldn’t be a problem. It would really make this place so much better if they had their customer service in order.

A nice state park filled with history. I had a pleasant experience walking around and seeing the historic houses and museums. The Fiesta de Reyes area had nice variety of food and shops. Parking is free, and there is no entrance fee.

Old Town is a great place to visit. It’s like a living museum with fantastic Mexican food all around. I’m not sure what could be better?! It’s walkable and family friendly. There’s a trolley stop next to it along with decent parking. Some of the buildings are open with static displays showing the history of San Diego. There are Park Rangers and an information office in case you have any questions.

Pretty average tourist area with some nice history plaques near each building and agood information center. Lots of touristy trinkets to purchase at tourist prices. Very easy walk through the whole town. Employees are dressed in historically correct clothing in many of the shops. Plenty of food available at several vendors on the property.

This State Historic Park is one of the few in the California State Park system with free admission—and free parking, too. Visitors can explore historic buildings filled with period furnishings, enjoy authentic Mexican restaurants, and browse dozens of colorful souvenir shops.

Loved this place. It is a must visit for any tourist. Its huge and spreads out for many blocks with restaurants and shops. Live music and even a broken down old museum like place (doesn't have much though).

Nice place for photo. That is historic site of California. Must be there yo exploring with many interesting things. Specially a lot of mexican food restaurants and coffee shop around there.

We stopped in for a stroll on a Wednesday evening in the fall and found it pleasantly uncrowded. It was fun to walk around and see the historic buildings and shops. Worth a visit if you have some time.

This is 100% a world class zoo. They make use of the space extremely well. There's plenty of walking to do, but they make it a wonderful experience. I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of conservation and research that they do as well. I learned all about it on the fantastic double decker bus tour, which I highly recommend. This was an experience that is second to none.

The San Diego Zoo is a must see on a San Diego visit! I would say it’s an all day event if you plan to see the entire zoo. I was there from 9am to 5pm! Make sure to bring your comfortable walking shoes! I would recommend taking their bus tour from the start and sitting on the to deck on the right side. You’ll see more of the attractions during the drive than the left. The bus tour is a great starting point and allows you to see a lot of the zoo and animals from a high POV! From there I recommend choosing your important must see animals and go from there! The air cable car is in the middle of the zoo and stops at the polar bear attraction so plan accordingly. Some people like to take it down at the end of their visit because you’ll end up at the entrance but there is more of a line. They do allow water bottles and food. Highly recommend drinking water as it does get hot!

Kendal and I visited the San Diego Zoo for his birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Although I’m not usually a huge fan of zoos, we couldn’t pass up the chance to explore this world-famous destination and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked through the gates, we were surrounded by lush greenery, vibrant habitats, and some of the most beautiful animals I’ve ever seen. Every exhibit felt thoughtfully designed to give guests an up-close look while still respecting the animals’ space. We saw elephants, lions, pandas, and even a few playful monkeys who put on quite the show. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and it was clear they genuinely care about conservation and animal welfare. One of the highlights was taking the Skyfari aerial tram, which gave us a stunning view of the entire zoo… perfect for catching our breath after all that walking! Speaking of walking, this zoo is massive, so definitely wear your most comfortable shoes. We also lucked out by visiting in October, when adults pay regular admission and kids get in free, a great deal for families! Between the breathtaking exhibits, fun learning moments, and the joy on Kendal’s face the entire day, it was hands-down one of the best birthday adventures we’ve ever had. Even if you’re not a “zoo person,” the San Diego Zoo might just change your mind. A must-visit for anyone traveling to Southern California!

I visited the zoo over four years ago and noticed significant improvements and new sections have been added since my last visit. The upgrades have enhanced the overall experience, making it much better than before. One of the highlights was the convenience of valet parking. I particularly enjoyed the reptile section, which was quite impressive. However, I did have to wait nearly 30 minutes to access the Panda section, which was less than ideal, but it was worth it for my kids.

Had the best experience visiting the SD ZOO, definitely not a 1 day experience, so many beautiful animals to see. So beautiful walking thru all the green forest/bamboo. Loved the tour bus & flying thru the sky... Staff was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Able to bring in own drinks & food. Which is super helpful when bringing kids.

An absolutely amazing experience! 🐯🌿 The San Diego Zoo completely blew me away hands down one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. The layout is beautiful and super easy to navigate, the animals are clearly well cared for, and the whole place feels like a mix between an adventure park and a nature sanctuary. The staff were just just sooooo friendly, knowledgeable and amazing i never seen employees that care so much for their job and love it so much like the people in this zoo, the exhibits were clean and immersive, and there’s something new to see around every corner from playful pandas to majestic tigers and adorable koalas 🐼🦒. You can tell the zoo really prioritizes conservation and education, not just entertainment. Also, the Skyfari aerial tram was such a cool touch seeing the zoo from above was unreal! 🚡 Highly recommend spending a full day here if you can. It’s 100% worth it whether you’re with friends, family, or even solo. A true San Diego must-visit. 🌞❤️

There is so much to see at the San Diego Zoo, from animals and birds to plenty of shops and restaurants on almost every corner (be ready to spend some money). It is all worth it though. Walking through felt like a scenic hike. We got to feed the giraffes, checked out the reptiles, and even ride the sky tram and had a bus ride at no extra cost, which gave us the best aerial view of the entire zoo. I could easily go back again. It is best to arrive early in the morning since there is a lot to see and do. Kids will love it too, with fun activities like face painting available. Overall, it was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend.

Such a beautiful oasis in the heart of the city. The zoo is the big attraction here but the Japanese gardens, natural history museum, air and space museum and many other attractions are in this park. You could easily spend multiple days here without running out of activities!

One of the best city parks ever! It’s large, well maintained, and in a pretty central location. Has tons of interesting places to explore, from the impressive architecture to the many museums and gardens. Lively, very aesthetic place and it’s easy to spend a whole day exploring this park!

How was Balboa Park? WET. A few folks mentioned how rare this was. We were also there on a local free day. I guess it is an honor system, as no one asked for ID, but we were willing to fess up to being from another State, where rain is a regular occurrence we are currently avoiding. Finally got into the large Botanical Building. The free Timken Museum of Art is closed M-Tue, RATS! Given that it was a free local day, there seemed to be adequate parking at 10, rain stopped by 10:30a, and we headed out. Expected a bit more of the Japanese Friendship Garden, and was surprised by cats comfortable enough to sleep in the open. Other spaces were hard to take photos of, absent other people. A public park being... public.

Balboa Park is a true San Diego treasure, and every visit confirms why it's a world-class destination. It’s more than just a park; it's a breathtaking escape that combines stunning architecture, lush gardens, and phenomenal museums into one unforgettable experience. You could easily spend an entire day—or an entire week—and still not see everything. We spent our day strolling along the Prado, captivated by the ornate Spanish Colonial architecture that transports you back in time. The gardens are a sensory delight, from the serene Japanese Friendship Garden to the vibrant blooms in the Rose Garden. The Botanical Building is a must-see, with its towering wood lath structure and beautiful koi pond. The best part? So much of this beauty is completely free to enjoy. For museum lovers, the options are endless. We visited the San Diego Museum of Art and were thoroughly impressed with the collection, but you could just as easily lose yourself in the Fleet Science Center or the Museum of Us. The options mean there's something for every interest and every age. Now, for those complaining about parking: 😡stop being lazy and get there early like everyone else. We arrived around 9 a.m. and found a great spot in the free Inspiration Point lot with no hassle. If you're not an early riser, there's a free tram service that will get you where you need to go. The park is massive, and a little planning goes a long way. Don't let your own poor planning diminish this incredible experience for others with a one star review😡😤. In short, Balboa Park is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is vibrant and inspiring, the grounds are immaculate, and the variety of things to do is unmatched. This is a five star experience from start to finish, and we can’t wait to go back.

Balboa Park will leave you in awe. With several museums, garden and San Diego Zoo to visit, you will never run out of things to do. It’s a great place to bring the whole family. I how educational and historical this park is. I would highly recommend this beautiful park to anyone visiting the San Diego area.

The environment is diverse, welcoming and secure. It can be busy but its worth the experience. There was ample parking regardless of the crowds. Me and my daughter visited the natural history museum, admission price was reasonable and the atmosphere was good. The exhibits were interesting. I would visit again.

I loved this place. Totally random visit, not planned at all. Was in SD for a week and on the last day we decided to visit on a whim. We went mid afternoon around 12:30 left around 4 and didn’t get to finish. Wish we could have stayed longer but had to leave. Would definitely go back! So many things to read and hear and conversations with employees to have. Got to meet a gentleman who lived and navigated the ship over 60 years ago! Even if you don’t care at all about this type of environment I assure you you will have a good time.

Let me start by saying I do not like museums. I LOVE this museum. I also love that they hire people and procure volunteers that are veterans so you obtain knowledge from the source. I loved their personal stories, hearing of their experiences overseas and of the carrier. I wish we had more time. The tour said 4 hours to complete. We had four hours. I wish I had four more, but we had a plane to catch. I would advise to download the parking app to pay over phone because I had to extend our time twice. I would say to stop by the Verizon table to pick up the audio tour guide that you tap at every station. Bring a water but if you forget there are vending machines and a diner on the carrier. Stop by the gift shop for memorabilia. Take the tour of the captains quarters, see if you have what it takes to be military intelligence, and tour the upper levels which requires ladder climbing so comfy tie up shoes is wise. Please come and listen to our service men and women that dedicated their lives to protect our country. They have wonderful stories to share. This museum is highly recommended.

Amazing amazing amazing!!! We visited the USS Pampanito years ago in SF and it was awesome! So we were definitely excited to see this one. Love that it gives us a small glimpse into what these guys had and went through because only they know what they saw and what they did during their time there. We walked through almost 90% of the ship but because we had our 3 younger boys we weren't able to finish the top portion. They do have a little quiz for the kids which consists of 6 questions they need to answer along the tour and at the end they get a pilot wings pin which is cute and cool. Definitely a must if you're visiting in the area. Beautiful views and the weather was perfect. During October kids do get in for free so get that deal and also I saw online that that EBT holders can get in for free(up to 4 people), its the Museum for All program so whatever the case go and visit!

I had to rate this wonderful exhibit of military history and power. My Navy daughter, granddaughter, and I, thoroughly enjoyed touring this historic aircraft carrier. From the long flight deck, numerous aircraft, to the interior halls, cabins, war room, and “Top Gun” fame, this historic exhibit should not be missed. The volunteer staff was friendly and knowledgeable, answering all of my questions. We got there a little late, and did our own walking tour, rather than utilizing the audio devices. However, we will probably go back again sometime in the near future. Thank you, US Navy for your service and protection of these United States!

This is one of those "must go to" spots in San Diego if you love history and appreciate our military. Give yourself at least 3 hours. We were at 4.5 hours when we called it. We saw everything except the island, as there was still an hour wait to see it. This is an amazing piece of history and allows for a whole new respect for the men and women that serve on our ships. We learned some new things we didnt know about naval history. The displays are well done. There's alot of walking so wear walking shoes for the most comfort. This does have wheelchair accessibility to many areas, but not all due to the nature of the ship, but definitely enough to make the trip worth it. There are also some height obstacles (my hubby knocked his noggin a couple times. Hes 6ft tall). But this museum is set up so incredibly well that you might get emotional. I also recommend the 15min movie about the Battle at Midway. Totally worth the wait. This is also kid friendly. Family friendly. But do keep in mind the timing to get thru the ship. Younger kids/ederly may wear out sooner than you're ready to leave. You can also get a hand stamp for re-entry if you wanna break up your day. We went too late in the day to do this, but its a nice option had we realized it ahead of time. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend and know you wont be disappointed visiting this amazing piece of history.

Seaport Village is a great place to visit. Take a stroll down the boardwalk it has lots of nice views of San Diego Bay and the Coronado Bridge. Lots of concrete walkways wind through the village. Lots of shops and great food and ice cream for the kids! The USS Midway Museum is very close to Seaport Village. Many different things to see in this area from the Gaslamp quarters, the Convention Center and Petco Park all very close by within walking distance from each other. I was very impressed with all the shops and great food and wonderful atmosphere. Alot of people smiling and saying hello to each other. This place is fun for all ages!

The USS Midway Museum is an absolute must-visit when you’re in San Diego! It’s such a fascinating place filled with history, and walking through the ship really gives you a glimpse into what life was like for sailors on board. There’s so much to explore from the flight deck to the engine room and you can easily spend hours here. I recommend starting your visit from the 41 Deck up to down, as the upper deck (Flight Deck) closes earlier at 4:30 PM. You definitely don’t want to miss it because the view and the aircraft displays up there are incredible! The volunteers and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to share stories and answer questions. It’s a fun and educational experience for all ages truly one of the highlights of my San Diego trip!

My daily running path runs through SV. I love to stop for some water or coffee and take it in. You can really feel the soul and pulse of the city right there. I'm usually there early mornings and it's so beautiful. Night time is magical too. I'm so grateful the city built amazing places to run

It’s been years since I last visited Seaport Village. I recently stopped by with my cousin, who was visiting California. I thought I would take her to some of the places I used to frequent during my childhood. I still remember when the buildings used to look more brown. It has a more appealing look with its white paint. Against the blue skies, it just looks more attractive. It still has that charm that I remember. I remember walking along the walkway between the shops and bay. These used to be a wall of boulders and stones that separated the walkway from the waters. It’s now cemented for a polished white wall. The large fountain that I remember is still there. It still looks maintained and the restrooms are clean. There is a fee to park at Seaport Village. Overall, Seaport Village is a nice spot that’s calm and has a relaxing vibe with a view of the bay - and, if you’re lucky, you’ll spot some naval ships pass by.

We love visiting Seaport Village! It’s such a beautiful area to walk around, watch the ducks, enjoy the water, and do a little people-watching. The atmosphere is relaxing and scenic, perfect for a casual day out. For food, Louisiana Charlie’s is absolutely delicious and always hits the spot, and just across the way, Broadys house of flavors is a must for a sweet treat.

One of my favourite ball parks that we have been coming to for over 10 years. Amazing views of the city and lots of good options for food and drink. Came for a Padres v Dodgers Friday night game this time and it didn’t disappoint. The small wine place across from the Lexus Lounge was great. Very easy to get served, which was a challenge in the lounge itself. Friday night games are the best as the crowd is loud and engaged. Padres fans are have always been friendly when we visit and everyone had a nice time.

Great park. Been to like 40 different baseball parks (current and retired ones). This is one of the best! Amazing setting. Great views of the city. Interesting features inside like the Padres HOF. They were having Hispanic Heritage weekend when I went in late September. Definite playoff vibe as well with Mariachi band (they played the national anthem - never heard that before) and Latina dancers and sitting room seats in outfield. Super fun.

This has to be one of the better MLB stadiums I have been to. It was easy to get to and find parking for. The employees were friendly and nice, and it was fun seeing the fans get into the game and cheer for the Padres. The food in and around the stadium were also good. I look forward to being able to come back to see another MLB game here when I'm able to.

This review is all about Petco Park itself, not the Padres—though I’ll always bleed blue for my team! This stadium easily ranks in my top four. The views, the electric vibe, and the food make it a standout. The highlight? The famous Seaside Market Tri-Tip Nachos (aka Cardiff Crack nachos). These are an absolute must-try—loaded with juicy, slow-smoked tri-tip, nacho cheese, BBQ sauce, sour cream, and green onions. They’re so YUM, even a traditionalist like me, who lives for ballpark hot dogs, happily deviates for these. Trust me, they’re worth it! Escaping triple-digit Arizona heat for a game at Petco each season is a highlight. The back-and-forth rivalry cheers in the stands create an unmatched atmosphere. From the stunning views to the incredible food, Petco Park delivers an unforgettable baseball experience. Can’t wait to return next season!

Great stadium, fantastic area, great staff and service, and had a great time! I got the steak nachos, which were fine, but could have used hot sauce or salsa. One bottle of soda was $7…pricey. Great viewing area with large screen!

9/6/25 Parking is a zoo so come early for dinner and so you can check out the merchandise. On Saturday, we parked at the Hard Rock Hotel and paid @$90 for valet plus tip. The park is clean and has lots of meal options. The people who worked there were friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait in line for a bathroom! So nice! I'd suggest hanging out for a bit because there is so much traffic after the event, no need to rush. Overall, a good experience. I'd bring my comfy walking shoes because you'll be walking to get there and up lots of stairs. (There are elevators.) Pro tips- don't get the mixed drinks, stick with the beer on level 1. I had the rum and pineapple juice drink and it was watery. Also, make sure to have a plastic bag.

Petco Park as a stadium venue. It's absolutely beautiful. I've now been there 3 times back to back in a row for the Dia de los Deftones music festival. I'm from the central valley and even though it's a 6 hour drive back and forth it's SO worth it. Every year I look forward to this concert because of the city, the concert and the venue. Dia de los Deftones is my favorite music festival of ALL time and at this point it's a tradition that I've accepted into my life and love sharing it with friends and family for the first time or returning. If this festival didn't happen at Petco park I can honestly say it wouldn't be the same.

Wow! Breathtaking bridge that connects San Diego to Coronado. Access from San Diego Freeway. There is no access to pedestrians and cyclists due to the height. You're able to see the scenery of the bay area. Highly recommend if you love architecture. See San Pedro Bridge also.

The San Diego–Coronado Bridge, commonly referred to as the Coronado Bridge, is a bridge crossing over San Diego Bay, linking San Diego with Coronado, California. It is part of State Route 75. The construction of a bridge across the San Diego Bay was proposed several times since the 1920s, but was turned down feared a bridge could collapse due to an attack or an earthquake and trap the ships stationed at Naval Base San Diego. By 1964 the Navy supported a bridge if there was at least 200 feet (61 m) of clearance for ships which operate out of the nearby Naval Base San Diego to pass underneath it. To achieve this clearance with a reasonable grade, the bridge length was increased by taking a curved path rather than a more direct path to Coronado. The clearance would allow an empty oil-fired aircraft carrier to pass beneath it. This was then approved and construction began and completed and the bridge was opened for traffic in 1969. At first it was a toll bridge until 2002. The bridge contains five lanes: two eastbound, two westbound, and a reversible middle lane with a barrier. The pillars supporting the bridge on the eastern end are painted with huge murals as part of Chicano Park, the most extensive collection of Chicano art murals in the world. The Coronado Bridge is frequently used as a suicide bridge; trailing only the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco as the bridge most-often used for suicide in the United States.

We enjoy visiting this bridge because you can see Mexico, and you can see all of San Diego's Skyline , pluss Coronado Island from this bridge. When you are traveling under the bridge, it looks like the shape of a bell.

It’s definitely a cool bridge to go over, and the only way to get to Coronado Island unless you go by boat. It’s a short ride of a little over about two minutes but fun. There is a great view on either side, and it’s neat to see ships passing below as you drive over. Overall, it’s a good experience and a solid bridge, especially if it’s part of your daily commute.

Rode the ferry ONCE in 1965, Watched the construction of the bridge, great saving time and fuel. Sailed my boat under it many times, great for sunset photos, especially from the water.

My mother, tour group and I have been on a tour bus through the bridge. The view going to the ocean side was wonderful with the ocean views and going to the city side was wonderful because can see the San Diego skyline. Also, there were vehicles crossing the bridge too, and ships crossing below.

The first thing I noticed about this casino that bothered me is that it's a smoking casino. They don't just have a part of the casino that's for non-smokers or just for smokers. I can't stand the smell. Went to Tony gwynn's buffet for all you can eat seafood. It's pretty decent food at least most of it. Some of it is not so good. It's what you would expect at a buffet. I'm not overly impressed but I'm not disappointed. It's all right to go there once in a while, especially because my friend pays for it. I wouldn't spend $75 on a buffet for myself though.

Review of the new Jamul Spa: New resort spa at Jamul Casino. Many things to like about it, and some areas that can be improved. Good: New beautiful facility with lots of amenities. We tried everything; sauna, steam room, hot tub, massage chaise in lounge, terrace seating. All very nice and new. Bad: Co-ed hot tub, small outdoor terrace (only shade, no sun from 11:30AM - 4PM during our visit) no hooks to hang towels/robes near any of the amenities and spa guest do not have access to the hotel pool. We were told the pool is for hotel guests only. Our visit was within 2-3 weeks of them first opening but they still have some kinks to work out. The biggest issue was not having access to stairs to get to the spa. My friend has a phobia of confined spaces. She never takes the elevator. We spent 30 minutes trying to get approval to use the stairs. Per the Security Director, she could not use the stairs to go UP one floor to the spa but they would allow her to use the stairs to go DOWN one floor to the lobby. MAKES NO SENCE AT ALL. We considered cancelling appointments but worried we'd be charged a no show fee and she didn't want to ruin our day. She took the elevator but the incident put her in a bad place physically and emotionally, initially. We expected to enjoy a stress free day to reset and relax with a massage but because of the nonsensical issue with no access to stairs going up, it wasn't the best way to start our day. It took meds and some time for her to calm her nerves and the massage helped, too. We appreciated the concern and service from everyone in the spa and made the best of our day. The security issue is separate from the spa, but something to consider if going to this facility. In regards to the pool, even if they allowed spa guests to use, I don't know if stairs would have been available -- it's a rooftop pool.

Great service, pretty resort! Nice mountain views. Pool is not heated, so we did hot-cold dips from the jacuzzi to the pool.

I've had one of the best experiences here then one of the very worst - I was thrown of this casino for simply trying to watch a game of baccarat - they claimed that their policy is that Nobody is allowed watch any game that is reserved... I wanted to play because it looked like a either a really great shoe of cards were being dealt or there was MASSIVE CHEATING going on... I simply stood there for a few minutes just to watch as these 2 homeless looking old asian women that had reserved the table started to make grunting noises, as i waited and watched wanting to see more hands being dealt.. Anyways they stopped betting and the dealer stopped as they waited for me to go away... They didn't want anyone watching their silly game. I was patiently waiting for them to either bet or unreserve the table, instead they went to a female asian manager that came over demanding that i leave the area. It was insulting, rude and very obnoxious. By the way I have the highest card they have available, the Onyx card and they still treated me like absolute poop! I recommend that this and all casinos be shuttered for ever, they are in essence a plague of leeches. The security guard - Hasar #2604 was especially threatening and disrespectful. For one the drive to Jamul Casino is absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of parking & easy to get to the main casino & there brand new very modern comfortable reasonable clean spectacular beautiful hotel. There promotions are plenty & well worth the trip. Outstanding friendly, helpful, happy , nice kindly staff is amazing. Great selection of slot machines & plenty of table games to play with a seat at almost any table always available. Very fun atmosphere & beautiful scenery.

I went there for a company hiking event. Many of the people had not been to the monument in the past so we explored the museum, the vistas, the lighthouse, and all the trails we could. We didn’t get to hear any of the doses talk about the history, but we read a lot of the information inside the museum. The weather was perfect. It was in the low 70s and there was a good cloud cover for most of the time. The parking lot is very large and can accommodate any size vehicle. The area at the monument is very large also and can accommodate a good number of people. There’s accessible parking and good way finding signage to get to each of the destinations. Our favorite part was all the trail system that we did a trail run on. Being able to see the Bayside and the beach side of the point was a really special thing. The new trail that was installed that went down to the tide. Pools was really well laid out and was not that difficult. I encourage you to bring water and snacks to enjoy on the trail and then a lunch to enjoy after your time in the parking lot or on one of the many benches along the trailsor in the park area. Make sure to take advantage of all the different areas within the park.

Incredible national park! Been here a few times even though I am not a local/Californian. Such variety to offer: great history, tidepools, great gift shop, junior ranger, lighthouse, and views of the city. Always great weather, with a nice breeze. Park film informational as well. You can often times see naval ships leaving nearby navy base as well. You will not be disappointed. Also of note is the nearby Rosecrans national cemetery. Amazing stuff there as well. The NP does require a fee, parking is plentiful, and bathrooms are great.

this was the first trail i walked in the state of california so the experience was amazing! the trail was long and one stretch of downhill/uphill walking so good shoes and water are a necessity! The view is unmatched and each step brings a new angle of the natural beauty!

Great location to soak in the pacific views and ocean breeze. You will need to go through a military installation to get here. Park rangers were super friendly and helpful. The ticket to get in is valid for 7 days. Walk in with a bike was $10.

This place is beautiful!!! We couldn't find the tide pools even though we were in the tide pool area so maybe high tide idk? But the views are amazing , the people were super nice, the visitor shop is also super cute!! Alot of history here, and beautiful hiking trails. A must see! If you have a military ID and or your America The Beautiful pass it's free :)

Absolutely stunning views of San Diego, the harbor and even Mexico. Watched jets take off. Friendly park rangers too. Unfortunately, during summer, the only times the tidal pool has a low enough tide is the extremely early low tide (4:30 am on this Aug day) and the park is closed at that time. The midday low tide was covering the tide pool by a few inches. If we came in October, we would definitely be able to see at midday. From La Jolla it was a 45 minute drive (11miles)and we paid $20 to get in.

Went on a Sunday around noon, overcast day, and little breezy. The view from there is amazing. Even though there was no sunshine, the color of the ocean looked so beautiful. Excellent spot to see the city, and if you like airplanes, you can have a good time just watching them take off and landing. I didn't have the rim me but I wish I could have hiked on the trails. Definitely will do in another visit.

Huge outlet. Lots of stores especially sports & perfume. Some good deals but you need to look. Unfortunately they didn't have an Eddie Bauer store. Food court playgrounds were scattered around as well as seating areas for the husbands. At the front of the outlets there were 4 Mexican food trucks. We ate lunch there. The Birria food truck especially had good prices and the food was delicious. But I'm sure they were all good.

Outdoor mall near the Mexican border... We enjoyed shopping here! The free parking and convenient restroom are much appreciated! We didn't have time to peruse the Food Court. I visited SKETCHERS (got 2 pairs of shoes) and The Last Chance Store (Amazon returns). My cousins got work shoes and clothing. Prices were reasonable and service was okay! We'll be back if we're in the area again!

It’s been years since I’ve been at this place. So many more shops, so many more options. We came on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. The place was buzzing, parking lot was crowded as expected, but you can find a spot, people are always coming in and out. Very well kept. Definitely worth the drive every once in a while, especially if you are coming from Orange County like we are. Prices are ok. Somethings are cheaper, some others are at the same price as your local shops. Good way to spend a few hours here walking around, browsing the stores, grabbing a bite, etc.

Big, open mall at a walking distance from pedweast cross border. They have a lot of stores in different blocks, you have to use your phone map to locate stores. They have a couple of coffee shops and restaurants. The restrooms are not many and have to walk around to find them.

I love this mall, i’ve been visiting since I was 2 and lived in Baja California, years have passed and even though i moved back to Mexico City, everytime i go to California i always come here, it has a variety of stores (my favorite are Sephora, H&m, Ulta Beauty and Zara) and discounts are amazing too :D!!

You'll find all sorts of clothes and shoes from many brands, electronics, you can eat and drink while you are at it as it has options for food and snacks as well. I would recommend to wear tennis shoes and be comfortable since it is a huge place you'll probably be walking around all day from shop to shop.

The brewery is not open for tours, only the tasting room is open. This is not the location of the tasting room, do not go to this pin. On maps look up JARDIN CERVEZA TECATE, the entrance is just west of this pin. They give you one free Tecate on draft, you can't purchase any additional beers.

I miss the placita, and I don't know if there are ever going to be more tours again (thanks covid) but it's still rad to go have your free beer once a day and take it all in.

I want to rate the Cultural Center higher, but as a whole, it needs some love and care and money put into it. The signs in the botanical garden have been highly vandalized and the statues are plastic replicas. The art exhibit in The Cube was really interesting though and I do recommend it. For $5/person it's a great deal and totally worth it.

It’s a very nice museum with fascinating architecture and a clear, engaging presentation of history — from cave people to the U.S.–Mexico War. The photography exhibitions were excellent, especially the photos about the U.S.–Mexico border.

Fascinating walk through the history of the Baja California peninsula from the Age of Discovery to the Second World War. Again, the US is the aggressor. I was most interested in the models of ships and diorama. I used to make those.

This place is so nicely setup inside. The pottery exhibits are extremely impressive. Could do with a bit more upkeep on the exterior.

Attended the Binational Conference of Social Work Post-Pandemic. Excellent location on a Friday. Vendors galore set up all day with food, can lots more. So much fun. It is across from a beautiful mall. Lots of traffic as there is a turn circle, be careful. I enjoyed the cultural experience. Very friendly people and helpful all around. Will go again. The exit at the border was about an hour, so be patient, and go with a buddy for company and to chat with a long the way. Remember your passport.

The play was great, but the theater needs to be more organized, we were standing in line for over an hr waiting in line to watch a play. The ushers have no control. Others just floked and ignored the line.

My daughter and I are here again after a few years and it never disappoints! If you’re looking for a glitzy, high-end spa experience the ranch may not be your cup of tea but it suits us perfectly. The grounds are serene and beautifully maintained, the food is wonderful and the staff bends over backwards to make your time here memorable. We love the earthiness and serenity of it. Even if we had unlimited funds, we would choose RLP to go to. I highly recommend it.

It’s our first time here and I’m absolutely in love. Service is amazing, and everyone you see guest or staff, is inevitably happy. There is an earthiness and authenticity about this place. It may not be the most modern and fancy, but certainly very charming and serene. Every corner of this place is impeccably maintained. It does not look aged or outdated at all for being 85 years old. It seems to just bring peace when you are here. The classes are also great, instructors are consistently high quality. For other reviews that mention the negatives, to be fair, yes you can hear some traffic on the side of the resort near the road. But it didn’t bother me and our villa is on the other side facing the mountain so it’s very quiet. The food I’d give a 7 out of 10. I’m not vegetarian so that could be a factor. Lunch options are typically salad, sautéed veggies and a soup, maybe a fish taco. Dinners sit-down coursed style but I wish there is more variety in the seafood offered. It’s mostly just white fish. I have not been wowed by the food but it certainly is not unpleasant.

RLP is food for your soul. Treat yourself. It can be hiking and workout classes or spa treatments and relaxing or meditative and healing the mind and body. There are so many options that everyone’s interests are met. Water Dance/Therapy was my favorite. Worth checking out

This was our second visit for a week at the ranch. I did not expect it to be as overwhelmingly wonderful as the first time, but to my surprise it was. This is a very special place with wonderful people both attending us and attending the ranch. It is a visual, physical, and emotional Feast.

This place is magical. It is Heaven on Earth. The staff, the food, the classes are all amazing.

Excellent directions to the main gate to the residences at Rancho La Puerta, which tricky to navigate
