Park
Blue Spring State Park, situated on the St. Johns River near Orange City, is a popular destination in Florida known for its cool-water spring and diverse recreational activities. It is the largest spring on the river and serves as a winter refuge for endangered Florida manatees from November to March.
Very clean walk ways and bench areas, well placed signs and cool picture opportunities. We mostly walked around with my toddler because the water looked deep. I definitely will be coming back for the glass bottom boat tours
Brittany B — Google review
Very unique experience! We spontaneously decided to drive up here during our stay in Orlando. We enjoyed the boardwalk, got to see manatees and even one gator when we took the 1h boat tour. Our guide Lee was very funny and we learned a bunch about the area and St Johns River. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.
Milena S — Google review
Blue Spring State Park is beautiful! The spring runs into the St. John's River and pushes out 100 million gallons of water a day. The boardwalk is wide and elevated with several lookouts that provide expansive views of the spring and aquatic life. If you love observing manatees, this is the place for you. On the day that I visited manatees were all over the place, even at my feet. Hundreds of fish were visible. The park is a great place for canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba, and camping. I am going back to stay in one of the cabins. The park is also a great place if you enjoy primative camping but there is a bath house, water spigot, and fire pit. My advice? GO!!!
Rickey M — Google review
Great state park with lots of wildlife and things to explore and do. On my visit we saw 3 manatee there hard to spot in the river that is black but you can see the movement of the leafs on top of the water getting eaten. Look for there mouths mainly sticking up since hard to spot there entire body in dark water. If you go to the clear water definitely easy to spot but can be limited in numbers due to people swimming. We did see 1 in clear water and 2 on the boat tour.
C B — Google review
Excellent park, well maintained walk up and down the inlet for about 1/2 mile each way. Saw a mother and child manitee from a distance, hard to see in dark areas of the water. Best to kayak 🛶 or snorkel to get a close up view.
Rob H — Google review
Blue Springs is a gorgeous state park with lots of Manatees in the winter months. The water is always around 72 degrees Fahrenheit so it’s great for swimming before November 15th. At that date they no longer allow swimming or tubing. There are many wild birds and fish as well. It only cost $6 to get in.
Michelle D — Google review
Lovely boat ride through the natural spring . We saw alligators, manatees and many birds. Everyone was very nice with there were 2 cafe with good food and a store and trails to walk on.
Madhu F — Google review
183 was manatee count. Quite a few baby manatees. Went late morning. No wait into park. Plenty of parking. Great viewing areas. Lots of cool fish and birds. Boat and kayak tours also were available.

Nestled just minutes from DeLand, the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp is a unique community known for its peaceful energy and concentration of mediums and psychics. The camp's name is derived from Cassadaga Lake in upstate New York. Visitors can have their fortunes told by resident mediums or spiritualists and explore various shops and a hotel within a 20-30 minute walk around the camp.
I absolutely loved my experience. I went solo and joined the historical walking tour after getting a reading. I went to all the little shops and had lunch at the hotel restaurant. I ended my day by strolling through the park by the lake. It was all so lovely and everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. I’ll be visiting again, and next time I’m bringing my friends and family ♥️🪽
Melissa M — Google review
The bookstore is the main hub of the camp, and a great place for first time visitors to start. You can schedule a reading from various mediums/psychics/etc from the bookstore. Everyone is helpful and welcoming. Good vibes all around. There is a beautiful little meditation garden directly behind/next to the bookstore that is worth stopping at (3rd picture).
Summer N — Google review
I've been wanting to visit Cassadaga for YEARS! We had a lovely time shopping in the bookstore, walking the labyrinth, and the fairy trail. We will visit again on our next road trip.
Sandra C — Google review
We walked in to see what might catch our attention and they have so many cute items. They had these really cute crystal witches brooms which I would have loved to get but at $85 I could only admire them. Crystals, tarots and some cute items for your desk or home. They had some sage and incense for the home for cleanings and a varying collection of unicorn, angel, dragon, mermaid merchandise which will fascinate everyone. One of the nice things they have is a little 'healing' tree where you write the name down of someone you wish to send positive healing vibes for, it can be yourself or someone you care for.
P R — Google review
Cassadaga had been referred to me four years ago after I had moved to Florida from New York. In NY, I was familiar with Cassadaga’s Northern Sister in Spirituality (Lilly dale) but never had taken the opportunity to visit the Southern center. Arriving at Cassagada, there’s a quiet authentic simplicity that permeates throughout the center. One could get lost in time just by being there. The peace & serenity is a welcome addition to being in a sacred place of refuge for the spiritually weary. There’s nothing fancy, so brace yourself if you go there. One post office, one hotel, one restaurant, one bookstore/welcome center but the rewards, oh those beautiful benefits far outweigh any fancy restaurants and hotels that you can find anywhere. Cassadaga is special - a way to relax and recharge your Soul. I will definitely return but this time for a weekend of more for the sheer pleasure of peace & tranquility. Where I just may partake in some explorative offerings by the residents or classes that are offered there.
Linda G — Google review
Took a road trip there. First stop at the visitor center . Got a small map of the place. Was a very enchanting place. My friend went to a spiritual healer. She was right on time. Don’t forget to go to horseshoe park. See pics
Linda M — Google review
This is the cutest amd best little metaphysical shop and book store with great prices! There are however a few things in there such as white sage and palo Santo which are closed practices specific to the indigenous community and are not labeled as such so you kind of have to just know. But they have a great and organized selection of books! Plus a cute little photo place (pictured)!
Asheron D — Google review
Step back in time to the late 1920's...when Spirits were kept coming back to speak to the relatives through Mediums...at the store you will find any spells, crystals and books that will help you understand the spiritual world...the Natural Law and best of all...interact with great people.

Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum

Museum
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled at the southern tip of Daytona Beach in Volusia County, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum stands as a stunning testament to maritime history. Constructed in the 1880s from over a million bricks, this historic lighthouse reaches an impressive height of 175 feet, making it Florida's tallest and one of the tallest lighthouses in the United States.
What a great visit even on an extremely hot August day. We walked up the lighthouse and the views were gorgeous. Lots of buildings to visit and see how the lightkeepers families lived. We enjoyed the beacon museum too and don't skip the short video about the site, very interesting and I recommend visiting that first!
Veronica B — Google review
Do you enjoy spending a sweltering hot Sunday morning trudging up hundreds of stairs and hauling your sweaty body to the top and around the edge of a railing hundreds of feet in the air in order to take in the oxygen your lungs burn for, the breeze your dripping face yearns for, and the views that make every single step worth it? Well, this is it! This is your place! We met an employee named Todd who truly went the extra mile to make our trip memorable. He was personable and knowledgeable, both making him a valuable asset to the destination. When we completed our journey to the top and around the museum(s), we were gifted a certificate boasting our accomplishment. A sweet touch that will serve as a reminder of the time we climbed the tallest lighthouse in Florida and the 2nd tallest in the US!
Nicole L — Google review
Absolutely loved it here!! The ladies working were absolutely wonderful and helpful!! Got a little lighthouse and a cute bag!! We went and saw all the buildings, even climbed the lighthouse! It was beautiful. Very well taken care of. The gentlemen at the other building; the hotel. He was very kind and helpful as well! We didn't have to wait for a group to tour or anything too. Just get your tickets/wrist band and head on in!
Rem — Google review
Free parking just steps away from the gift shop where you can purchase your tickets. Admission to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is $6.95 for adults (age 12+), $1.95 for children (ages 3-11), and free for infants (ages 0-2). Note: It was one of the hottest/most humid days of the summer so drink up before you get there and dress appropriately. Went right to the beach after to cool off ;) but it is a lovely way to start your day. Our docent took us to the lighthouse, allowed us to climb the 209+ stairs (she didn’t go with us and I don’t blame her), beautiful breeze and a wonderful view.Take the time to take a few videos and photos. However, Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse & Museum offers much more than a climb—it’s a blend of coastal drama, architectural history, and educational exhibits. Whether climbing to the top for sweeping views or exploring the restored Fresnel lens displays, visitors consistently find it worth the visit, whether or not they’re lighthouse buffs. Friendly staff, well-kept facilities, and budget‑friendly pricing all add to the appeal. What a lovely part of Saturday. Thank you
Holly K — Google review
Worth the Climb! Climbing to the top of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse was tough but so rewarding. The views of the ocean and waterways stretching out forever were breathtaking, and the breeze at the top felt incredible. Inside, the museum’s old lighthouse lenses were fascinating, and the Pacetti Hotel Museum gave us a glimpse of the area’s history. It’s a great mix of adventure and learning, and my teens loved it too.

Great value interesting historical attraction. Super friendly and informative staff. Free parking and fantastic views from the top.

The Marine Science Center in New Smyrna Beach is a fascinating aquarium and marine museum that offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn about endangered and threatened animals. The center features exhibits, display tanks, and a rehabilitation area for injured marine life.
Such a cute, inexpensive activity to do for all ages. During our visit here today, we fed stingrays, listened to a talk about their resident pine snake with a chance to pet him at the end of the talk, walked through the raptor bird exhibit, and spent some time learning about the turtles currently staying in the turtle hospital. The staff really care about the animals they care for. A fun and low-key way to spend an afternoon!
Elizabeth V — Google review
The Marine Science is a delightful little gem at an affordable price. They have some great sea life you get to experience and you can touch and sometimes feed Stingrays. Seeing the sea turtle in there stages of rehab is also awesome. My kids loved the raptor section so the aviary component was a pleasant surprise. This is only a few hour trip in my opinion my kids lost interest after a few hours but it was still a great w.
Kristen H — Google review
Inspiring and educational! The Marine Science Center is a gem for families. We loved feeding the stingrays, but what stood out most was seeing the sea turtle rehab area and knowing real conservation work is happening here. Meeting a rescued owl and hearing its story made the visit even more meaningful. This is the kind of stop that sparks conversations and stays with you.
Paula B — Google review
Really cool place to bring the kids! It’s smaller and intimate, and the staff is very friendly. Feeding the stingrays was a lot of fun. My daughter was too excited for the animals.
Melissa M — Google review
The grandkids and I did a stay-cation this week and this was one of our activities. The renovations are great! The kids had a great time. Stingray pool was fun for the kids! The bird sanctuary was very informative with interactive questions and information. Highly recommend!
Lynn E — Google review
It was a delight to visit. This is definitely a neat place for children. The touch pool had stingrays. We loved the aviary and learning about the different birds. The attendant was very knowledgeable about each rescued bird and species. Eagles, hawk, and falcon are just some that have been rescued. We went specifically to see the turtles in rehab. We would have loved to get a behind the scenes tour for them, but that wasn't offered. We watched the turtle tech give them their medicines. It was fun to see that and use the computer available to see each of their stories. It wasn't too busy, we got there early as soon as they opened on a Saturday. We kinda hogged the computer and read about each turtle. They were so beautiful, and you could definitely see the difference from the first picture of them and how they looked now. We spent just under two hours and could have stayed longer. Inexpensive, a learning opportunity and fun.
Karla S — Google review
Very knowledgeable staff and volunteers. We felt like we got a really good bang for our buck. Our older kids enjoyed being able to touch and feed the stingrays. One thing I would hope they could add in the future is being able to see the sea turtles up close. We would definitely stop in here again on our next visit to Daytona Beach.
Marty B — Google review
Fun and educational. All the staff were polite and knowledgeable, chatted to everyone explaining about the species. Will definitely return

Lighthouse Point Park, located at the southern end of Peninsula Drive across from New Smyrna Beach, is a popular destination for beachgoers, naturalists, and fishing enthusiasts. The park offers an unobstructed beach with a boardwalk winding through sand dunes leading to the teal blue waters. Visitors can also stroll along the jetties for scenic views. Additionally, the park is dog-friendly and provides clear views of the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse.
This is a great destination for enjoying a natural beach and coastal environment that also has a huge jetty. Swimming, hiking, sunbathing and fishing are popular activities here. Meandering boardwalks with picnic pavilions are sprinkled amidst the maritime dune environment. Bathroom and rinsing showers are also available. This location is also a walkable distance from the lighthouse museum.

This park is in a fantastic location with plenty of open space, making it perfect for a relaxing day outdoors. There is an entry fee—slightly discounted if you pay with cash—which is good to keep in mind before arriving. The park is well-equipped with clean restrooms and outdoor showers, which are especially convenient for rinsing off after time on the beach. What really made the visit special were the natural sights. While I was there, I was lucky enough to spot dolphins and manatees in the water—a truly beautiful and unexpected bonus that added to the experience. It’s a peaceful place where you can really connect with nature. Throughout the park, there are numerous grills and picnic tables, great for barbecues, family outings, or casual meals with friends. Whether you’re there to swim, cook, relax, or simply enjoy the views, the park has everything you need for a perfect day. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Probably my favorite place to do my photo sessions at! Always beautiful! A large park with plenty of places to walk to. Consistently great photography location in Volusia County

We love this park! Fabulous for kids, great place to clean up and restrooms. Dale, the employee there cleaning and locking up, was so kind, he even offered to help us carry our stuff while my husband was carrying our 2 kids. Such a nice guy!
Raina C — Google review
My first time the here the beach is beautiful. The weather was a little cold. But I do recommend it.
EDGARDO A — Google review
We took our pups here last weekend and had a blast with them! The beach was clean! Loved that they had dog watering stations set up along the walking path! My only complaints are the parking was a nightmare! They were allowing people to pay to enter way beyond when they should have been. There were no parking spots in the parking lot which meant everyone else entering had to park along the road ways. Although it wasn’t a huge deal, it did make traffic get backed up as people were loading/unloading their cars, everyone was walking in the roadways due to cars being parked in the grass areas along the sides of the road. Also, they did not have any portable restrooms available near the beach and depending on how crowded it is, that could mean a longer walk to the restrooms. If you want to make sure you’re able to park in the parking lot next to the bathrooms, get there early!
Ashley — Google review
Admission is around 11 bucks. Pretty good facility with alot of history and artifacts. Would definitely recommend making it an all afternoon events to take your time enjoying it.

Amazing park! Stunning vibes, great water in and out of water for shelling. We got some great finds! Clear water, the sand bar was fairly big, great to walk out on. Dog friendly beach. There are bathrooms, small food truck and showers before walking on path.

A beautiful way to spend a day outside and experience local Florida wildlife and nature. The entry cost is $10 per car and lasts the whole day, including reentry. Certain areas are dog friendly as well. The beach is absolutely beautiful, but beware it's definitely more of a natural beach and not the best for swimming. I enjoyed learning about local plants with signs located around the park. There are pavilions if you want to bring a picnic, as well as a fishing pier. You could truly spend the whole day here as there is much to explore. We can't wait to come back!
Fairooz H — Google review
Beautiful beach! The boardwalk has several access points, and the views at sunset are amazing. The beach is peaceful, with little “pool-like” areas that are perfect for kids to splash around. Lots of wildlife too… we saw butterflies, dragonflies, birds, and even tortoises. A great spot to relax and take it all in.
Gordana D — Google review
The place is simply stunning! A must see if you enjoy walks on a number of boardwalks or dipping your toes in the water on a warm and sunny day. You’ll see surfers and an abundance of wildlife that thrives here. The sunrise is gorgeous and so peaceful. In the afternoon, take a break and enjoy a bag lunch at one of the several picnic pavilions that’s available here. Dogs are welcome on the dog beach. Restrooms are also available.
Roberta S — Google review
Found this place while driving around new Smyrna Beach while family was in town We explored the whole boardwalk from start to finish taking time to walk on the beach and go seashell hunting I will say that this boardwalk or path was extremely well thought out you can see the wildlife in their natural habitat on our most recent visit, we saw several different types of birds, but also a few different turtles. It’s cool to see their home and how they naturally act in their own environment. Also, really great place to take photos
Alyssa H — Google review
Very nice park with great wildlife watching and expansive views in all directions. It’s rare to see this much open land right next to the beach on Florida’s east coast. It’s an easy walk and very peaceful!

UPDATE: We visited this place again and loved it just as much as we did the first time. I've added new photos. PREVIOUS REVIEW: We loved it here! It’s so nice that there’s a boardwalk through the protected habitat to be able to view it all from a safe distance. We even spotted 3 tortoises on our walk. I highly recommend visiting here if you’re in the area!

My wife and I stopped here in the late morning of Thursday, August 14, 2025 while on a camping trip and moving between Apopka and Port Canaveral. I was in my Dodge RAM 1500 pickup and towing my 20 travel trailer, but there was hardly anyone at the zoo yet and there was plenty of grass lot parking to fit both my truck and trailer without having to temporarily unhitch it. On the walk in to the ticket booth from the parking lot, we noted that they have this very cool little "kiddie train" and a mini-train station right at the entrance. There is also an extensive array of zip lines and launch/landing platforms around the park's entrance area for adults and older kids to enjoy but we didn't see any staff on duty on this weekday visit, so it may only be operated on the weekends. The ticket booth staff was friendly, and they gave me a Veteran discount that saved me about $10.00 on my entrance ticket. See my attached receipt on what entrance cost. Once inside the park, we noted that there is a splash pads for younger kids to enjoy, and it was operating with several kids enjoying the shooting water jets and cooling off. We then proceeded to walk and tour the zoo through a nice circular pathway route and series of board walks. It is very well laid out and they have a fairly extensive array of animals from tropical and temperate zone habitats, particularly for a medium sized zoo. It's also very kid friendly and there are several places to get cold drinks and snack foods around the interior of the park. After we were finished the tour and exited the gate we walked inside this conference hall to enjoy some air condition, and saw a picture of Jungle Jack Hannah, who got his start here as a Zookeeper way back in the early 1970s when the place first opened. We've always been fans of his show, this was a nice finish for us. Overall, this is a very nice zoo, and I would not hesitate to recommend it for kids of all ages (and old-aged big kids like my wife and I). It's easily accessible from Orlando or Daytona with lots of nice expressways close by.

This is an amazing facility with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Feeding g the giraffe was the highlight of my Son's entire trip. There are a lot of animals to see and learn about, many of which are very engaging! Would definitely recommend as a family adventure :).

This place is just beautiful!!!! The Sanford Zoo is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and passion that goes into every detail. The animals are healthy, active, and clearly well cared for, with habitats that are both beautiful and educational. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to answer questions, making the visit even more engaging. I love how interactive the experience is—there’s something for all ages, from the lush botanical areas to the fun animal encounters. It’s the perfect mix of adventure, learning, and relaxation. A must-visit for locals and visitors alike!

Well kept small zoo. We took the train ride expecting to see the zoo, but what we basically saw was the woods around the parking lot & cut cardboard cutouts of animals placed near the tracks. We enjoyed the morning. Mid September weather, not so hot.
Meg D — Google review
Not crowded. Nicely laid out and comfortable walking with many benches to sit. Water fountains very sparse, nice cold water dispenser in Bear enclosure info building. Giraffe exhibit a fave, and there's a little butterfly sanctuary at the entrance to Giraffe enclosure that had a nice bench to watch the butterflies fluttering by. One star off because many of the animals were clearly unhappy, even though well tended and cared for. Pretty normal for zoos.

Had a great time while we came in to visit. Small zoo but has a lot of character for what it is. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Exhibits were perfect for viewing and animals were very active.

Spent some time touring the grounds and visiting the animals. Great smaller zoo with a great selection of endangered animals! Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. Good grounds and nice landscaping! Make sure you get a ticket for the train ride, it was so much fun!

The Breezeway Restaurant & Bar, located in historic downtown Sanford, offers a laid-back atmosphere with an open patio area where you can enjoy signature cocktails and Southern-inspired dishes. The restaurant features a scratch kitchen that prepares multi-course meals using fresh ingredients and raw foods. Guests can dine in a chic nautical interior or on the charming open-air patio surrounded by tropical greenery and a fountain while listening to jazz, country, or modern music.
My wife and I are regulars here and always enjoy our time at the Breezeway. However, we wanted to mention our valentines dinner specifically. We had a fabulous time! Our server, Jacob, was attentive, funny, and knowledgeable. We were head over heels with our dinner specials of the seafood pasta and strawberry chicken salad thanks to his suggestion. Thank you Breezeway for making our valentines day special!

Don't sleep on this place. I had a fried hot buffalo chicken wrap with their in-house chips and DESTROYED it. The chicken was SO juicy and perfectly cooked. Their chips weren't over salted and they had the perfect crunch. My photo is of the remaining half because I inhaled the first one before I decided to talk about it.

What a gem! Locals and new friends are always so nice, the staff makes you feel like home and the kitchen takes their time to make your order just perfect! Incredible food at super reasonable prices! Inside or outside…the vibe is awesome for some fresh air out.

Christian our server was AMAZING! He had a bunch of tables but still managed to be attentive. The appetizers, fried green tomatoes & cheese curds were delicious but our main food, mahi mahi taco's and grilled grouper came out cold and we chose to just get it to go after they remade it. We had our pups so we sat on the patio outside which was a little dirty plus it was raining. Overall not a bad experience I would go back even if just to have the appetizers.

Definitely one of the best spots downtown Sanford! Food is always amazing! Staff is friendly, and the atmosphere after dusk is remarkable!! Cassie was the sweetest server I’ve ever had! Very helpful throughout the whole night and never let our drinks run down on a busy Saturday night!

Love this place. I went with my sister and her mother-in-law and had lunch before our Ghost tour. Jacob was out server and let me tell you he took great care of us. I told him he reminded me of Doc Holiday and he stayed I'll be your huckleberry and of course it was over we lived him from them on. Must go see him and get some awesome food and live music came around five pm. Thanks again Breezeway you rock Sanford.

What a pleasurable experience! First as smoker I appreciate the fact that you are allowed to smoke on the outside. I had the shrimp and grits it was AMAZING. You had choice of sides but very limited and nothing that really went with the shrimp and grits so I got fries. The wait staff was really nice. I would totally return again. Oh and they have proper pint size glasses unlike “The Station”

Always a fabulous sunrise at the beach. One never has to guess or question the beauty of nature. If visiting, remember that this beach is clothing optional, so if you go here there will be bits and bobs hanging out.

Great area but sharing parking for nude beach. Sometimes people don’t follow rules and are in parking lot nude. Yes, clothing should be worn in public parking area per park staff.

Nice beach. We went in mid Sept so it was not the tourist season. National Seashore so $25 day pass or bring the Nat'l Parks Pass. We went for a rocket launch. Pretty good spot to see it. Not crowded for it at all. Be comfortable with the human form in all it's shapes and sizes if you are going to be on the beach.

Gorgeous beach. Sand is grainy and you tend to sink when you walk so may be hard to navigate. Lots of shells of many colors. We saw a bobcat! Armadillo and tortoise too. Not for children as there are exposed bodies. Private area when we were here. Only a few people when we went but it was also chilly.

Even on overcast days. It’s a perfect place to feel free and liberated. Can’t wait to go back when it’s nice and sunny out 🌞☀️🌊🏖️ They have a nice parking area and bathrooms right on the road. The road is paved all the way down to boardwalk 5. We did see some beautiful wild life on the way down as well : a few armadillos, a wild hog with her six little piglets and a lot of different types of birds. Great park for anyone who just enjoys nature and nudity. PS. It does cost to enter the state park. We traveled here in dec 2023 and it was $20 for the car and that was good for 7 days.

The very end of the Drivable Rd., Canaveral Beach. And it is stunning. You have the Indian river on the west side of the peninsula and 100 feet in the other direction is the Atlantic ocean. This is a primitive beach, although it had it has a place for fishing. Incredible views in the park service has put in an audio tour that gives a quick synopsis of what you’re looking at. Share is wildlife everywhere we passed several armadillos in pelicans. In the summertime I understand there’s 5000 turtle mess out here.

Early risers get the few spots available for parking. The wait for a spot can be trying on your patience but if you just chill a spot will open up as people leave. The beach is worth the wait Is like having your on spot on a very exclusive private beach There is an entrance fee.

• Visited on Friday morning in late December 2023. Most kids still in school so it wasn’t busy at all. • We went down to pier 5 just to see what all the fuss was about nude sun bathers. There was decent amount of parking. We saw one “old” guy obviously nude way way down the beach to the left. That was it. It was a little cold the day we visited but sunny. Wife said it was a bit too windy and chilly to be sunbathing. On the other side we saw a kite-surfer(not sure what to call it?) That was cool to watch. • We did not see any tortoises as we were hoping for but saw at least 6 armadillos on the side of the road driving down and back up from the beaches. • You do pay at the gate and/or check your national park pass. We would visit again maybe when it was warmer.

Museums
The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art is a historic and family-friendly museum located in Orlando, Florida. While the city is known for its theme parks, it also offers a diverse selection of cultural institutions. The museum, established in 1995 but with roots dating back to 1942, houses an extensive collection of Tiffany treasures acquired from the estate of Louis Comfort Tiffany.
What a gem! Literally - the inside glows from all the colored Tiffany glass. This is a museum almost totally dedicated to Louis Comfort Tiffany - his stained glass windows and lamps, paintings, and even his house, though there are other art deco era artists in the mix. One side has huge illuminated windows and a room of unusual pottery, in the other direction are lamps and painting and period furniture. Then there's a whole wing that somewhat recreates the house Tiffany retired to, with whole rooms and areas as they were, plus a room on his whole history. Don't miss the video room off the foyer/entrance area to start and make sure to leave through the artsy gift shop. There is free parking next to the museum and plenty of shops and restaurants in the immediate area. The ticket price is remarkably low, it seems to be still funded by the fortune of the woman who put the collection together.

Tremendous collections and beautifully curated! Don’t miss the far back displays of the Tiffany home pieces and of course the stunning chapel. This was so much larger than I originally imagined it would be and I feel like you could visit multiple times and see new things missed on previous visits. They’ve done a wonderful job providing details and history, and we’ll definitely be back for a re-visit!

What an amazing museum. I am a lover of everything glass and this place blew me away! The care and detail shown to restoring pieces (and entire rooms) is amazing. Thank you for sharing this with the world. I'm sure LC Tiffany is very pleased to see his art live on and be enjoyed. I will be back!
Tif J — Google review
Impressive museum with magnificent artwork and fascinating history, but I am a frequent museum attendant and have never experienced such intrusive security guards. I felt as though my personal space was encroached upon multiple times and like I always had eyes on me. We still thoroughly enjoyed our visit, but I can definitely see how it’s thrown others off. The peacefulness of museums is paramount to me and the interferences made it a little tough to feel serene and impeded my ability to immerse myself. I doubt I would return due to this. There is also not enough in the museum to justify multiple trips anyway—we were able to soak in what was available during the few hours we were there, and we read practically everything. Despite all my grumbling above, it was a lovely stop and I would highly recommend to anybody looking for some beautiful art and history in the area.
Alison J — Google review
I loved this museum! The Tiffany glass collection was amazing and so were the other pieces showcased. There's free parking for the museum and a giftshop as you exit. They have the miniature version of some of the Tiffany lamps. The bathroom was super cleaned and the place and surroundings are well kept. The entrance fee was $6 for adults. I will definitely go back.

I used to have an annual pass here, so I went a lot. Always had a great time, especially at the animal and insects exhibition. There have a lot of hands-on activities here. It’s great to bring your kids to learn about science!! My friend had a wedding here last year and it was well organized and beautiful. We had an amazing time!! We also went here for their OSC After Dark Halloween event. I was impressed with how organize they were! All the staffs were nice and there were a lot of activities. They also have an open bar here with a lot of drinks stations so there was no wait to get the drinks! The dance floor was full and music was good :) The only feedback I have is it should be longer since the event was only 3 hours long (8-11pm). But overall, we all had a great time and will be back next year.

Had a great time spending a day here..one day is not enough to cover everything with the scheduled shows, experiences and all other activities throughout the building with four levels.. we even missed one of the levels because of all the activities during the day so upgraded the single day tickets to family membership at the end.. really worth paying for the tickets if going with kids..lot to learn and do for all ages together with lot of fun. Definitely going back soon to enjoy everything again..loved it!

My grandkids mentioned how much fun they had when they went with their class on a school trip to the Science Center, so I decided to surprise them on our last day together! They had such a great time! There were some new exhibits, like the DC Super Heroes, and a few they didn’t get to see while they were on their school trip, so they enjoyed having a bit more freedom this time around to explore. It’s a wonderful place for both kids and adults with so much to see and do!

Harry P. Leu Gardens is a 50-acre botanic garden and estate located on Lake Rowena, featuring a diverse array of flora including roses, camellias, cycads, azaleas, philodendrons, and bromeliads. The gardens offer free admission on the first Monday of every month from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
It's beautiful here! And the origami sculpture is fantastic - I tended to use that map to get around because it's smaller. There are nice big open spaces, wandering trails, and little tucked away hidden gardens, so put your exploring feet on. Of course, in the middle of the day in July it was hot hot hot, but still worth the walk around, and they sell ice cream inside the welcome building. Parking is in two "lobes" around the entrance area, and not a ton of it. Beautiful roses, tropicals, and even an arid garden with cacti, they do a good cross-section here. Don't miss the birdhouses around the trails - they're so cute! Made to look like our houses, there's a plantation mansion, everglades swamp house, even a little English thatched cottage. Super cute and worth looking out for.

Lovely place! It’s very big so please take the map to enjoy the full experience. You can walk around, it’s very peaceful and the coffee inside was actually pretty good. I enjoyed it. Bathrooms are pretty good too, they have one at the entry and another one in the gardens, in the Cottage area. Very clean. Lovely pictures!

All of their gardens are beautiful and well-maintained by the staff and volunteers. We also enjoyed the tour of the homestead which I would highly recommend! They gave an incredible timeline and walkthrough of the home and history of the garden. Would absolutely go back and would recommend this to any travel-goers near the Orlando area!

I recommend this park! I love nature and walking. My husband invited me, but I didn't know where we were going. It was a warm autumn day. There weren't many people around. We walked for many hours, looking at the plants, relaxing on the benches, and talking. It's a shame the museum was closed that day. I love learning the history of the place I'm in, pieces of history about the lives of the people who lived there and created this place.
Tatiana D — Google review
Went here for a visit with my boyfriend, and at the time they were holding a themed scavenger hunt, which guided you through the park and led you to a treasure chest! Extremely beautiful place, all plants are labeled carefully and the terrain is not hard, so most levels of walkers/slow joggers can have fun here! There is some (avoidable) uphill incline and boarded walkways for those with accessibility/wheelchair concerns. Most areas are shaded and there is a beautiful, vintage styled rose garden with a fountain. Overall, all ages would find something to wonder at here. Admission is not extremely pricey, so make sure to check this out if you’re in the Orlando area!

Absolutely lovely garden filled with birds and butterflies. I felt this garden was inspiring and beautiful. I highly recommend!!! ❤️ Located just minutes from downtown Orlando, Harry P. Leu Gardens is truly a hidden gem and a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. As soon as I stepped through the gates, I was surrounded by a lush, tropical landscape that felt both calming and rejuvenating. The pathways wind through beautifully maintained gardens, each section offering something unique—from rose gardens bursting with color and fragrance to towering camellias and serene shaded areas under centuries-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss. I saw an incredible variety of birds during my walk, and butterflies flitted between the blooms, adding to the almost magical atmosphere. The gardens are well-labeled, so you can actually learn about the different species as you stroll, which made the experience even more engaging. The historic Leu House Museum is also worth a visit while you're there, giving you a glimpse into the area's history and the family that once lived on the property. Whether you're a plant lover, a photographer, or just looking for a quiet place to reflect, this garden is a must-visit. I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and connected to nature.

Lake Eola Park is a vibrant city centerpiece offering a variety of activities for both visitors and locals. From leisurely walks or jogs around the lake to feeding the diverse waterfowl, there's something for everyone. The park also hosts a Sunday farmer's market and special events, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and entertainment. Additionally, visitors can rent swan-shaped paddleboats to explore the lake.
Did not get to spend the time I wanted to on this trip. When I finally found parking and walked over the first thing I heard was an announcement that lightening had been detected in the area and all swan boats needed to come in. Rats! I wanted to ride the swan boat. I have seen the devastation lightening does and I want no part of it. None. I snapped a few pictures and left but have plans to go back in two weeks and will write a more detailed review on my experience. The little I did get to see, I liked a lot. People walking their dogs, people walking holding hands, ducks and swans walking and swimming. Very pretty setting. Nice big trees to keep you cool in the heat (or to be struck by lightning, yikes!) Swan boats are $15 for 30 minutes (that’s a bargain). Must be rented 30 minutes before they close at 7:00 p.m. Parking was a challenge. Maybe I missed a parking lot but do not park where you shouldn’t or you will be fined. I’ll pass on that. More to come.

Lake Eola is one of those spots you gotta check out if you’re in downtown Orlando. The walk around the lake is just over a mile which is perfect for a quick jog, walk, or even just clearing your head. The fountain in the middle lights up beautifully at night, and if you’re feeling a little adventurous, you can rent one of the swan boats and cruise the lake for a different view of the city. Sundays are extra special with the farmer’s market with tons of local food, vendors, and chill vibes. You’ll find a Publix right across the street if you need a quick snack or drink, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, from pizza and burgers to more upscale spots. Whether you’re walking the dog, getting a morning run in, or just looking for some peace in the middle of downtown, so this is the place. Definitely worth the stop.

I love watching all the ducks, swans, and wildlife, it makes the park feel so peaceful at the same time it’s the perfect place to clear your head, enjoy nature, or just take in the scenery. Definitely one of Orlando’s gems!

The building was majestic under the bathing sun. Definitely a nice place to hangout. Too bad we didn’t see any 🦢/🦆 paddles ride. Hopefully next time we come back I get to ride it. The only downside to this park is the parking. Very limited unless you pay for parking. So if you do go. Go early 😆

The park offers a remarkable experience, enhanced by the presence of diverse birdlife. Visitors can enjoy running, walking, and sightseeing, complemented by ambient music. The park occasionally hosts Sunday morning activities, including various booths, which are highly recommended. Furthermore, the swan boat rides, accommodating two individuals, provide a memorable experience. The park's ample shade minimizes sun exposure, making it an enjoyable destination for couples and individuals alike.

The facility is licensed by the USDA and Florida Fish & Wildlife. Guests can enjoy close interactions with a variety of animals during group experiences led by knowledgeable guides who provide plenty of individual time with the animals.
Me and my boyfriend did the ultimate experience here and it was worth every penny! It’s a very relaxed and fun environment where you get to hold and hang out with all the animals. All the animals are very sweet and social, you can tell they get a lot of love and are so well taken care of. Leslie and the others that work there are very nice and made this such a wonderful experience. I have already told all my friends that if they are ever in Orlando they have to go!

Giving 1 star due to unprofessional customer service and inaccurate details on website. It states “No Appointments Booked Over 30 Days in Advance.” I tried booking on April 20th for a May 19th (Thursday) appointment and was told there were no more spots available. Wish i knew to book months in advance. I’m very disappointed I can’t go during my stay in Orlando , I was looking forward to the experience.

We brought our son to the Exotic Animal Experience for his birthday on May 1st.. We had such an amazing experience. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They are friendly and very knowledgeable of the animals. For me, what I loved the most was seeing how much the animals love the owner and staff. You can tell the animals are so happy and so well taken care of. I’ve been to other animal experiences and have felt rushed. It was the exact opposite here. They really make sure each person gets adequate time with each animal. The property is very well maintained and very clean. I really like that the owner only books small groups at a time. It gives you room to spread out on the property and feel like you’re alone with the animals. We had an issue paying and had to stay behind about 20 minutes after the experience ended. The staff was so understanding and so willing to help us get the issue resolved. Thank you so much for allowing us to come visit and spend the day with your fur babies! It was such a special experience that we will never forget!

We went to the zoo yesterday! It was my 3 teen girls and I. We did the group experience first...it was amazing! We got to interact with animals you typically wouldn’t get to interact with. Zebra, camel, lemurs, sloth, kangaroo and more! Leslie, Garret and Jodie were very knowledgeable about all the animals and gladly answered all questions. The animals were very active and well kept! They have a huge area that they live in, play in and it’s very clean. You can tell how much Leslie loves her animals. Her dogs were awesome too! My daughter did the simply sloth experience after the group experience for a graduation gift. She was in heaven! She got to hold, snuggle and feed the sloth. They also offered a great deal on photos. It was nice to be able to interact with the animals the whole time and not have to worry about taking pictures. As an animal lover it was great to go to a zoo and actually see happy well taken care of animals:) Thanks again for an amazing experience!

I was looking for something different and hands on for my daughter's birthday/5th grade graduation. Well, this was it! You can tell the animals are very well cared for and several have a very special bond with Leslie. All the tour guides were super friendly and very knowledgeable. Leslie is wonderful and you can tell how much she loves what she does. We will definitely be looking to do this again. From Baby Girl, the most welcoming camel you have ever met, to the fun and rambunctious lemurs, you will truly enjoy your time spent here!

What a experience!!!!!! So happy we didn’t listen to some of these reviews! The animals are so sweet and loving they really love their owner and care takers which was really awesome to see. The animals really are well taken care of. I noticed some complaints on the owner saying she can be a bit mean. That wasn’t the case with our group she was very informative what people have to remember is these are her babies she going to protect them as much as she can if you simply listen you will have a awesome time like we did! At the end she brought out a new addition to the family that was just born. I would highly recommend this tour well worth every penny! Thanks again for such a awesome experience! You have a great staff!

I took my wife here to celebrate her birthday and it was fantastic! We did the basic group visit. We were grouped up with about 10 or so other people. Courtney guided us through the different animals and gave us lots of information about all of them. Even though we were in a larger group, they made sure that everyone got plenty of individual time with the different animals. I never felt rushed. First, we got to pet a zebra and a sloth. Then we got to actually go into the lemur's pen and interact with them! My favorite part was getting to play with the kangaroos and bottle feed some of them. They're so gentle and friendly! The entire experience was incredible! You can tell that Leslie really cares about every single one of her animals and takes great care of them. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Joe C — Google review
How this place has anything but 5 stars, just proves why animals are better than people most of the time. 😂 There is nothing I can say sufficiently in the characters allowed in this review. This is not a Zoo, it’s an experience. Leslie loves what she does, and it shows immediately. The staff are passionate, and happy. The animals are comfortable, and relaxed. There is no pressure or exploitation of any of these animals. Leslie is authentic, and loving to her pets. (She is quite possibly on saint level, with how great with people, after taking care of these animals so well all the time.) So any review talking negatively about her, was likely missing the entire point of this experience. The Animals. What you see here is epic, and special. What you experience here is unique, and inexplicable. Call, and book. You will not regret it, I promise you. My wife and I had an incredible time, and can’t stop commenting on the obvious care, and passion this place contains. They have something special here. For the experience you receive, you will leave feeling truly good inside, knowing that the animals are happy, loved, and you are helping them to continue being cared for. The energy from the animals, and the people, remind you that there is in fact so much good in this world. The opportunity to experience these beautiful, exotic animals, without feeling as though they are prisoners in cages. These are NOT zoo animals, they are Leslie’s pets. What a difference!!! Thank you again Leslie, for letting people into your “home”.

Canaveral National Seashore Administration Headquarters is a beautiful and natural beach located in Titusville, near the Space Center. It offers a clean and uncrowded environment with opportunities to observe wildlife and enjoy the wonderful water. Visitors are advised to bring their own supplies for the day as there are no commercial facilities available. The area is well-maintained, with informative staff and pleasant surroundings. Additionally, visitors have the option of purchasing an annual pass for multiple visits throughout the year.
One of our favorite beaches because it's clean and never crowded. Yes, parking lot 13 is a nude beach. Don't park there and you won't even know it exists. The waves and shelling are better than Cocoa, but be prepared to put one of those camp shower bags of water in your car because there is zero running water. The public restrooms are compost toilets.

Why don't you announce that access to the shoreline is closed? This might be the only shoreline in existence where beaches reach capacity and guests are turned away. There is absolutely no communication of this whatsoever, and the only way to know is to drive all the way to the entrance where police are posted.

So beautiful, still a natural beach with no commercialism, clean beach, many animals to observe and the water is wonderful and so was a man we saw fishing's luck ! Thank you for keeping this jewel pure !!! And btw... You can get a pass good for 1 year that about equals the cost of 1 1/2 regular admissions and go visit as many times a week as you want ! Well worth the $$ !!

Mission of the National Park Service: "The National Park Service preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park Service System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations. That being said, this is an administrative office, not a beach or recreation site. Ain't no enjoyment or inspiration happening here. Visited this Canaveral National Seashore administrative office for a business transaction. Its sign stated that the hours were 8 to 4:30. Rang doorbell at the front door numerous times, but no one answered. Additionally, phone calls were unanswered. Finally, went to the back door, into the back foyer, and knocked. Finally, an employee came out and said business should be transacted at visitor centers. Zzzzz...

I called to get information on the beach if they were going to be open today. Since there was no reason for the beach to be closed on Sunday at 12 noon. So she put me on hold to connect me to someone else, and no one picked up the phone so basically she put me on hold. I thought that was a bit rude.

The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is a sprawling 140,000-acre preserve in Orlando that offers a wide variety of habitats for hiking, fishing, and hunting. One unique experience is nighttime kayaking under the stars, where disturbances in the water activate bioluminescence, creating a surreal sight. The refuge is home to over 1,500 types of plants and animals including 300 bird species and sea turtles.
Not to be missed for bird and wildlife lovers. In a few hours in September 10, I spotted some 30 bird species, many at close range, as well as box turtles, wild pigs, and a few snakes at safe distance. Stunning, varied land and sea scapes.

We drove around looking for Roseate Spoonbills but sadly found none. The welcome center is closed for remodeling and the temporary trailer was closed as well. We saw egrets, white herons and storks, Mangrove flats, painted barricades, NASA launch pads, several pull offs for fishing, no restrooms so go before you go over the causeway bridge. We never got out of the car, side road paths are not paved. Would like to go back to find the Roseate spoonbills and flamingo’s when cooler and welcome center opens.

The beauty of this place is incredible! It is hard to put into words, for a reasonable summary, how cool this place really is! Go early in the morning and start on the Black Point drive. Sure, the regular *touristy* stuff can be fun, but Merritt Island National Reserve is WORLD CLASS!

Went there at the end of October and was so happy to see manatees at the manatee viewing spot and across the way by the boat launch! There were around 20 of them feeding on the bottom of the river (so got to see their pancake tails) and sometimes rolling around in the more shallow spots. Was amazing to see! In addition to the manatees we saw so many bird and even a tiny alligator. It’s really worth a stop if you are looking to see some wildlife.
Julie K — Google review
It was a nice drive, but because of the weather, which was way too hot. There was really nothing to see. I was surprised not even an alligator was laying around.

Wow, best highlight of my vacation. Went there with no expectation. As the visitor center, my wife was abled to borrow some binoculars while, in my case, was carrying the camera. After the proposed way to visit the Refuge was given, i was going nuts when we reached Black Point, not even when the loop started, I could have spend the whole day just down there, there was sooo many birds to look at and pictured. We had plan to walk the trail, etc etc.. time fly so much that we had no time to walk the trail (5 miles walk). Coming from the North, was great to see so many birds species I am not familiar with. I do suggest to have either a good identification book or use Merlin app. Even if a good part is done by car, on the 7 miles drive, you spent a lot of time outside, do not forget the sunscreen and water.

If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure, look no further than Airboat Rides at MIDWAY! Nestled along the scenic St. Johns River, this experience offers not just thrilling airboat rides but also a chance to meet Pork Chop the pig before you embark on your journey. As you glide through the waters, keep your eyes peeled for majestic bald eagles and alligators basking in the sun.
Our family of four had so much fun on this tour of the St. John’s River and wetlands! The landscape was so beautiful and we enjoyed getting to see all the wildlife and learn more about this area. Our tour guide, Anne was amazing and so much fun! Our kids loved holding the alligator at the end as well. If you’re thinking about taking this tour, definitely add it to your itinerary! We’d definitely go again! Thank you Midway!

Wow what an amazing experience. We saw a few gators but the beauty of the area is something worth seeing on an airboat. You can’t get that experience anytime else other than on an airboat. Keep in mind that gators like hot weather and no wind. They also get scared by noise and something big. They do a great job of making it entertaining and fun. I’d go on this even if I wasn’t there to see a gator.
C B — Google review
We had an amazing airboat ride today! Captain Alex was both informative and entertaining, making the entire experience unforgettable. Even on a day when spotting wildlife was supposed to be difficult, we saw multiple gators and so many beautiful birds. Cruising through marshes, swamps, and winding rivers gave us incredible views and nonstop scenery. The tour ended with the chance to hold a young gator — the perfect finishing touch to an already fantastic adventure. Highly recommend this tour!!

This is a super fun thing to do!! You see plenty of alligators, learn about the ecosystem and area. Our guide was super knowledgeable and cool! They have snakes, the best birds, Coco is the sweetest and you get to have your picture holding an alligator at the end. He also takes a pic on the boat! First trip on an air boat and definitely not the last. Next time I come to Florida I’m definitely coming to Midway again.

So much fun! We saw around 20 gators of varying sizes, lots of birds, and we were excited to see a Bald Eagle. Our boat guide was Alex and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He provided lots of information about the river and the ecosystem. We will be back again in the Spring to see go again.

So fun. Our guide was knowledgeable, personable, and found lots of gators for us to see along with herons, egrets, and bald eagles. Loved holding their baby alligator. And the views out there were to die for. Worth every last penny!

Switchgrass Outfitters & Airboat Tours provides an unforgettable adventure with their 90-minute airboat excursions, perfect for nature enthusiasts and families alike. Guests can embark on these tours at various times throughout the day, including specialized bird-watching experiences. Captain Seth, a local expert who has deep roots in the area, leads the tours with enthusiasm and extensive knowledge about the St. John River's history and ecology.
Just amazing, first time and it was the greatest experience ever. Seth was a fantastic guide, highly recommended to anyone looking for an air boat ride in the area. This is the one to go to. You won’t regret it!

My family and I had an amazing time with Switchgrass Outfitters & Airboat Tours prior to leaving Florida. Captain Seth was such a pleasure to have as our guide and this was not even the extent of all the gators we saw that day, but a vast percentage of these clips came from a single video and I still have more to go through. Captain Seth has extensive knowledge of the area as he not only grew up there, but he is also raising his family, and uses the surrounding land for sustainability. We got to learn about his swamp soup amongst many other things, like the secrets that lie beneath the lands, how locals come together to care for the acreage so everyone can still prosper off of it, and so much more. I highly recommend if you're in Christmas, Florida to book a tour with Captain Seth because it'll be nothing but a good ole time. #Switchgrassoutfitters&airboattours #florida #ChristmasFL #Gators #portsaintjohn #portsaintjohnriver

Had a great sunset airboat ride with Seth from Switchgrass Outfitters. Saw a LOT of alligators and birds as hoped. Saw a lot of unexpected things as well, notably the largest cattle ranch with cattle grazing in the alligator-dense water. Learned about the history of the St John River, including surprising info. You need to book a trip to hear about this from the local people who ranch the area when they aren’t running the airboats

I'm going to tell you, this is the airboat guide you want. We had Seth, he was great. Showed us around and we saw well over 100 gators. My wife and it was our first time ever doing this. Go to Christmas FL. And do this tour. Thanks so much for a wonderful time. A++++

Seth is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the boat tour was incredibly fun. I 100% will be coming back to do this again with my boyfriend. We saw more gators than I would’ve ever thought possible (and not just small ones!), 2 bald eagles, turtles, and so many other bird species. Seth knows the lay of the land like it’s his backyard, this experience is SO worth it.

We had the most AMAZING time with Capt Seth. He was so knowledge about the area, history, wildlife and nature. He was friendly, fun, and really catered to the interests of the group. The boat was easy to get in and off (my grandma and great aunt had no issues) and the duration was just the right amount of time. Would absolutely recommend this tour and will book again if we find ourselves in the area!

Located in Brevard County, Florida, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is a must-visit destination for space enthusiasts and families alike. Situated just an hour away from Disney World, this center offers a unique opportunity to explore the history of space exploration and witness iconic spacecraft like the Space Shuttle Atlantis. Visitors may even have the chance to witness a rocket launch, although these events are sporadic. The complex provides an immersive experience that showcases NASA's achievements and ongoing missions.
We visited Kennedy Space Center for the first time since we moved to Florida in 2019 and why did we wait so long. Ive wanted to visit KSC for a long time now and took the entire family for the day. We were bummed as we had tickets for the space launch the same day, but it was canceled due to weather. Good news is we did see the launch the following day from the beach. Back to KSC, make sure you buy tickets in advance to avoid any lines, parking is very easy, but does get full pretty quick. I did not know what to expect when visiting but it was amazing. All of the staff were very nice and very helpful. There is mich to learn about Space and you get to experience so much. There are a couple rides here that we did nit go on because our kids were busy having fun around the rest of the park. We did sign up and pay for the VR moon landing mission that cool. Make sure to stop at the gift shops, explore and have fun. This was amazing experience and need 2 full days to really get it done. I would come back again to do it over for another experience.

I am so impressed with KSC! Thank you for extending a free entry to veterans and discounts for family. We came in on Veterans Day and had a fabulous time. I was here years ago and I loved all the updates and changes made. This is an exciting day of exploration for young and old alike. The up close and personal views of these massive flying machines takes your breath away. The bus tour that is included in the entry price was very informative and the eagles were in their nest! Awesome day!

🚀 A Wonderful Place to Explore Space History This museum is a wonderful place to learn about the history of the space race. The exhibits are fascinating and make the visit truly worthwhile. However, I would recommend that the management consider investing a bit to improve some of the areas that are starting to look very dated, specifically the animations and screens. They seem quite old and updating them would significantly enhance the visitor experience. Overall, it is definitely worth visiting! Would you like me to translate or write any other reviews for you?
Gustavo G — Google review
A wonderful experience overall! There’s an impressive amount to see and do. From start to finish, everything was engaging and well put together. You’ll definitely want more than one day to explore it all. There’s just too much to appreciate in a single visit. If you’re planning a trip, give yourself plenty of time!
Ashley L — Google review
I left much later than planned as I kept finding cool things to do! I did the experience with the bus tour at the start of my visit and it was well worth it. The two hour trip with a few stops along the way deep within the complex and the excellent narration of Jerome gave me great insight into what I was seeing (excellent if you have attention challenges). Seeing rockets on the pads preparing for launch hours later from a distance at pad 39, standing in front of the massive vehicle assembly building and more during the bus tour was great. The last stop is the Apollo 8 firing room which was extremely well done with the actual communications from the control room. At the main complex, do not miss the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. And a bonus near the end of the tour seeing the eagles up close at their nest. Overall, exceeded my expectations and could have spent many more hours.

Absolutely amazing experience with so many authentic pieces. My wife and I made an entire day out of this and would probably have done more with extra time. We took this as part of a hotel package but looking g back would have made a dedicated trip. I learned so much about a subject that I had been fascinated by as a child but let slip away. They were I teractive and engaging with most activities but gave you a do it yourself pace to explore.

We went November 3rd and really enjoyed our day. Loved the bus tour, I recommend doing that first. Loved that I bought the digital photo package for $20. Then getting dressed in a space suit and doing pictures was really fun. Lots to learn and explore, you won’t be disappointed.
Lora G — Google review
Extremely enlightening especially for fools who doubt the Apollo missions and the Moon Missions in general. Exceptional Layout. The entire facility is far grander than many people can imagine. The sheer amount of infrastructure and legacy alone are reason to visit and peer into the era of American excess and innovation as well as see new Giga innovators like Space X, and Blue Origin, the only 2 providers in the world to land Orbital rockets. 🇺🇸💚💙 Do this, use a whole day, take your time, bask in the glory.

The facility showcases over 75 species of snakes along with lizards, crocodiles, alligators, and turtles from around the world. Visitors can witness live venom-milking shows and gain insight into the importance of venom collection for producing life-saving anti-venom remedies.
Having passed this place since 1996 ( going to Melbourne Beach) We always thought it was a shop .. got told about it being a little zoo .. we stopped there.. Wow the snakes are amazing.. they had a couple of gators / crocodiles & turtles too .. we were there about an hour ( we had to get off to go the airport 😪) we will definitely call in again next time we are over .. the owner was a lovely guy too

Animals: Absolutely beautiful specimens showcasing incredible species from across the world and native species you may find in the backyard. Many examples of venomous and non-venomous snakes, including a black mamba, yellow anaconda, king cobra, rat snakes, ball python, and many others, including some albino variations. Loved seeing the turtles and alligators up close. 10/10 Enclosures: small, neat, tidy. I didn't notice an extremely strong scent sometimes found in reptile exhibits. There is a smell, but I mean that it isn't a bad one. Just like at the zoo. You can tell the animals are cared for, and the people there are passionate about what they do. The fence containing the alligators is studier than it may seem at first glance. The gators themselves seem very content. The turtles will swim up to you for you to feed them, very cute. Scenery: lush plants, simple building. You can tell the facility has been there a while. But it's well kept and clean. The native plants are beautiful. One note though, there was a wheelbarrow of packaged dead rats by the bathrooms, I assume for feeding the snakes. Not exactly what we wanted to see in the middle of the walkway at the beginning of our experience. Venom show: this was the turn-off for us. The actual show is very cool!! Seeing how the snakes are handled is an experience, especially since the lecture before the show explains the reasoning behind why snake venom is important to harvest. The problem came during the lecture as well, however, because the topic tended to deviate from just educational, to politically opinionated and motivated. I don't mind that so much, but when it lasts half of the lecture, then it made us uncomfortable. Especially since there were only 4 of us at the show. Another thing, the language used wasn't entirely rated pg, but more like low level pg-13. The worst of it was one use of "shit". The show did start late but we were warned that happens often so that fine. It started a little after 3 and the lecture lasted 40-50 minutes. At that point we were expecting someone else to be showing the snakes while the man there was talking. No. He finally went back and then we got to see the snakes and watch them be milked for their venom. It's definitely educational and I'd say seeing the species on display is a great experience. Just be aware of slightly less child friendly elements in the lecture and be prepared to sit for a good 45 minutes listening before seeing any snakes on the show. Oh, and after the show he will let you hold a non venomous snake, very fun! Wish I could have held it longer, the scales were such a cool texture.
Jada M — Google review
It is a roadside stop that was great. It was a bit smaller than I expected, but the people there were extremely nice. We got to see a snake milking, which is a first for us. Also, I got to hold a snake, too. The only thing I could complain about is that the information signs need to be updated since some are falling apart and unreadable. I would recommend this as a great stop for anyone liking snakes. I was expecting to be there maybe 2 hours, but we spent over 3 hours there. We all left very happy for the experience.
Kurt D — Google review
This place was likely very popular in its prime but currently is a bit run down. Some of the things advertised about this place are no longer available and several of the pens are empty and seem a bit unkept. The owners seemed nice and were friendly, and we were able to feed the turtles in the pool. There is an impressive display of snakes (venomous and non venomous), but their tanks aren’t very enriched. I don’t know a lot about reptile keeping so I can’t speak to whether the animals are healthy or not. There is a venom milking show the runs a couple times a day but we didn’t stay for it. For the admission price of $15/ticket, I think this was ok but I don’t think I’d come back unless they add more and update some of the environments.
G B — Google review
Loved feeding the turtles! Seeing the variety of exotic venomous and non-venomous snakes was amazing! They are expanding the park which is exciting for future visits. It was great watching the venom show and bearing about their story. I can't wait to return later to see the new exhibits!
Alyssa G — Google review
Such a cute stop! All the snakes and animals looked so well cared for and healthy it was such a nice sight. The turtles and gators and snakes were all so active. They do live venom collections twice a day that I wiiish we saw but overall a very cute side quest!
Stephanie M — Google review
I wanted to stay for the snake milking, but as a fellow reptile owner and enthusiast, I am genuinely afraid for the animals here. I believe the owner cares about them a lot. I really do. But he is neglecting them severely. Everything has the same or no substrate, river rock. No heat control. He has an Asian water monitor in a small, dry cage with some sticks. Everything has stuck shed. Everything. Nearly every colubrid was overweight. A boa had visible mouth rot. Nearly every animal was cohabed and not for mating. A cobra had a facial wound, likely from extreme rubbing. Another was actively face rubbing every surface. The blood python was having visible and audible breathing issues. The birds are covered in wounds. The tortoises had shell damage and deformation. I was excited to finally see some amazing snakes that I've never seen, and though I did see them, I am extremely sad about it. If you are the owner, I am begging you to get staff to help you better care for these animals before the state takes and euthanized them.
Tru B — Google review
Definitely a place to check out. Educational and hands on when they let you pet and hold one of the snakes. Plenty of reptiles to see

Central Florida Airboat Tours is a popular choice for exploring the unique landscape of Florida. Located at 6901 Highway 192, Melbourne, this tour offers an exciting and educational experience. Captain Dusty, known for his friendly and professional demeanor, provides an informative and entertaining ride. The two-way headsets provided allow for easy communication among guests while protecting their hearing. With smooth rides even in choppy waters, visitors can get up close to wildlife such as alligators and various bird species.
We contacted Dusty the morning of our ride due to another company needing to cancel our tour for medical reasons. Dusty responded immediately and was able to squeeze us in that same morning a few hours later. We were very thankful for this as we were due to leave the next day! He was very knowledgeable about wildlife seen on our tour as well as answering any questions we had! He made the tour fun and enjoyable and we would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to book an airboat tour. Thanks again Dusty!

My family did the airboat ride with Dusty, and it was amazing!! I had a fear of gators from a previous gator tour, but Dusty was very good at reassuring us we were not in danger. Dusty was also making us laugh the whole time. I was able to really enjoy the ride and ended up loving seeing the gators up close!! We also saw cows, birds, different plants, and baby gators. I had such an amazing time doing this with my family, and I very much recommend Central Florida Airboat Tours to anyone coming down to Florida or looking for a tour!

He could name every single bird or wild animal we saw - there were herons, egrets, mallards, cranes, snapper turtles, and so many more I can’t remember the name of. I would take this tour again and I’d highly recommend it!

I had a tour this past weekend and although we only saw one alligator it was a lot of fun to experience! He did mention doing the tour in spring is good if you want to see a lot of gators as the water is lower so there’s less places for them to hide. Definitely recommend!

Dusty was a great guide and very funny! Got to see the Florida wildlife and beautiful scenery! A great activity to do on vacation. We saw lots of water Buffalo and sandhill cranes and a baby gator 🐊

Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable about local wildlife. The ride includes headphones with microphones so the guide doesn't have to turn off motor to talk to guests and guests can chat with guide. Great to ask questions. Highly recommend.

We've been out with Dusty a couple times now. Each trip was a different time of year so pretty different scenery but both times Dusty has been great. Fun rid, with a great balance of humor and info about what we are seeing. I highly recommend !

Whether you opt for the late morning or evening cruise, you'll be treated to an array of slot machines, roulette, and table games while enjoying the picturesque views of the water.
It was a lot of fun. Got a package from Groupon with the cruise, dinner/lunch, a couple of drinks, and some credits for the slot machines. Was definitely worth the money, which is a great bargain from Groupon. Definitely recommend it for any occasion, we went on our anniversary and for it being our first cruise, it was amazing

We had a great time, but I would have loved to dance and it was extremely cold..... I would have loved to have seen one of those concerts when ppl cosplay as famous people. Maybe you could create a type of residency like the Vegas shows to turn up the fun. Everything else was well worth it. I overall had a great experience 💛

Look man, I'm not a boat person, so I couldn't handle it. I tried so hard for the whole 4hrs. I love my family their the only ones that checked on me. Boat staff They just there. I could've fell over the boat they probably wouldn't gave a shit anyway. But after some time I got it together was able to enjoy a lil bit. Beautiful from what I could enjoy .

Spent an afternoon on this casino ship sailing from Cape Canaveral. There is 2 daily trips from 10am to 4pm and from 700pm to 1 am. I purchased the package for $35.00 dollars.Which includes $10.00 in slot, play, two free well drinks and a complimentary meal . The ship is a little dated, but kept in pretty good condition. There are four decks with an outside area with entertainment on the fourth deck. There is several bars throughout the ship and one dining area. As for the games, they have plenty of slot machines and all the other table games. Some of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and some of are not so pleasant. The food was not great. I had a cheeseburger, and it comes with pickles and potato chips. The burger reminded me of something I would get at a high school cafeteria.

First time on this cruise and it was a great time. Perfect day and weather for the ride, no overcrowding at all. Food and drinks were satisfying. An endless amount of slot games to play and table card games. If you get motion sickness, make sure to take something before, you can definitely feel the movement on the lower decks. The top deck is beautiful and a great place to enjoy the fresh air, drinks and the live music

Nice clean beach with lots of shells 🐚 $20 parking. Parking lot is very close to the actual beach and there aren’t any stairs to the beach which makes it easy to bring a beach wagon. They have 2 volley ball courts. Multiple bathrooms. Chairs and umbrellas available to rent.

We recently got into cruising and our trip to cocoa beach pier was absolutely awesome there was a waiter named Harvey. I was really thankful for his service I was so impressed with him that he got me my coconut drink for me that I have been wanting everywhere we have been. My only regret is getting him to sign my coconut so I named him HARVEY after him. Wonderful experience He was really great deserving of a raise. It’s a place I would love to visit again. So Harvey you’re awesome thank you so much…from Tennessee

We stopped by the Cocoa Beach Pier early in the afternoon while exploring the area and were pleasantly surprised. The pier itself is fantastic, a vibrant mix of eateries, shops, and great ocean views, all right on the beautiful, pristine beach. The beach atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a stroll or simply soaking in the coastal vibe. We were able to park right out front, which was convenient, though it cost $20. We didn’t really look for other parking options, but the ease of access made it worth it for us. Overall, it's a great spot to take in the scenery, grab a bite, and enjoy a classic Florida beach experience!

My wife and I stopped here late in the morning of August 15, 2025 while on a camping trip to Jetty Park a few miles to the north of it. We tried to go in the morning after breakfast, but the parking lot was closed and the attendant told us it opened at 11:00, but it was going to cost us $15 to park. I wasn't real happy about that, but we came back after checking out nearby Ron Jon Surf Shop for a few hours. It appears the Westgate Mall company bought out the pier a few years ago and has done a good job of cleaning it up and renovating it. There are several restaurants along the pier now and we dined at the giant Tiki Bar way out on the end of it. You can also rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Overall, in spite of the expensive parking fee, this is definitely a nice place to go if you are visiting Cocoa Beach.

Cocoa Beach Pier is the spot to be—lively, full of energy, and with amazing waves, especially on the right side of the pier. Spent a month here and loved every minute. Great surf, ocean views, and a vibrant atmosphere make it unforgettable for locals and visitors alike.

Beach is clean. Expect crowds. We took our beach blanket and stuff but there are chairs and umbrella rentals in the beach. Thing is all those close at 5pm, then they collect them back. There were washrooms, we were able to change clothes in them. Enough space for that but not too clean. There were showers to wash off sand. Also there were gift shops and restaurants. We were able to buy some beers and food. Don’t forget to take your ID for that. 1 beer for 1 ID. Other than sunbathing saw people surfing, playing volleyball as well.

Excellently well maintained, there are ice cream shops, souvenirs stores, a restaurant , restrooms and some space to walk and admire the ocean and the beach and the surfers. Really refreshing to go up there 100% recommended . It’s Free. Opens with good weather because if there is a bit of bad weather it will be closed for safety.

Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands, located in Viera, is a popular destination for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts of all ages. Accessible by vehicle, it offers the opportunity to observe wildlife without having to hike. Visitors can spot alligators sunbathing along the pond banks and witness a variety of bird species. The wetlands are a great example of habitat restoration and provide a peaceful environment with plenty of nature sounds.
If you go when the weather is comfortable for you it is awesome. There is a bird island you can watch which was filled with all kinds of bird activity. I went in early April with my sister was a beautiful day we saw alligators, spoonbills, and other birds!
Mary L — Google review
I recently visited the Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands, and it was an unforgettable experience! I was thrilled to spot a myriad of bird species, including some rare ones. The highlight of my visit was the abundance of alligators! I lost count of how many I saw, lazily resting in the sun or gliding effortlessly through the waters. It was exhilarating to see these magnificent creatures up close. Another interesting aspect of the wetlands was the numerous red ant houses scattered throughout the area. It was fascinating to observe these intricate structures and imagine the busy lives of the ants that built them. Before visiting, be aware that the drive-through is currently closed, so be prepared to walk throughout the wetlands. Fortunately, you can bring electric scooters, scooters, hoverboards, or golf carts to make navigating the area more manageable. The wetlands offer free parking right outside the entrance, which is a definite plus. However, there are no washrooms or eateries in the nearby area, so plan accordingly. I would recommend visiting during the early morning or late afternoon for the best wildlife viewing opportunities.
Pallavi H — Google review
The Ritch Grissom Memorial Wetlands are a great place for biking and hiking and very easy to reach from the Viera/Melbourne area. The trails (roads) are generally well maintained and dry. You can walk, run or bike various loops to do whatever distance you want. The area is never crowded and you won't pass by more than a few other people on a typical outing. This is a very popular place for bird watching, but it is also a great place for other wildlife spotting. Alligators abound, but you can also see dear, bobcats and other interesting critters at times.
Mark P — Google review
Beautiful park teeming with all kinds of different birds and plenty of gators. Easy access and lots of parking with ample trails to get your excersize!
Bill W — Google review
We took a bike ride there on a weekday in February. Not at all crowded. We got in a 5.5 mile ride by crisscrossing and doubled a few spots. Was disappointed that after their renovation last year that they removed all of the viewing platforms and the gazebo. Absolutely nowhere to sit and only a portapotty for a restroom. The Orlando wetlands is much bigger and better in my opinion.
Lisa D — Google review
The grasses have been allowed to grow into the lak s so that you can barely see the water and the Brazilian peppers are out of control. Only lots of gators. Disappointed
Michelle R — Google review
Beautiful wetlands with a lot of birds, snakes and alligators. Nice for a short walk or cycle up to 5k or 3 miles. 1 of the paths through the area seems to be closed. No access to motorised vehicles and plenty of parking available. Area open from 7am to 7pm after which the access gates are closed and locked.

Brevard Zoo, a community-built zoo established over 22 years ago, offers an immersive wildlife experience with over 500 animals from Florida, South America, Africa, and Australia. The zoo's landscape features distinct geographical zones and specially designed enclosures that blend with the natural surroundings. Visitors can feed giraffes and enjoy a kids' water play area.
What an amazing zoo! Very interactive, very fun! We kayaked and did the zip line. Took about three hours to do everything. They have big swamp coolers throughout the zoo. Learned a lot about the zoos history which made it even cooler. Visited all the way from Washington state and it was definitely worth it!!! One of my favorite zoos!
Melanie R — Google review
I haven’t visited this place in a while, and it still feels as interesting as ever! There’s a wide variety of animals from all around the world (including here), spread out into multiple exhibits! I do like some of the animals in here, such as giraffes, lemurs, and birds. Recently, they’ve added a lot more digital activities such as in the Rainforest Trek exhibit (you can scan multiple QR codes to take mini quizzes and learn more about the animals). There’s even murals you can take pictures in front of, made by talented artists! I recommend you take your kids to this zoo, since there’s a lot to explore and do!
Aidin K — Google review
This is a lovely zoo with nicely shaded paths and great visibility. They have a creative boardwalk and several feeding opportunities available. It is not a large zoo (done on about 2-3 hours) but an enjoyable one with healthy and active animals.
M W — Google review
We visited Brevard Zoo for the first time today, and we absolutely loved it! 🚗 The drive from Orlando took a little over an hour, but it was definitely worth it. The zoo is very green, clean, and perfectly designed for families with kids. The children were especially excited about the giraffes — you can get really close and even feed them. The Halloween decorations created a fun atmosphere, and the Star Wars characters made their day! We got amazing photos 😄 There are lots of shaded areas, clean walkways, and the staff is friendly. It’s a perfect place to walk around with kids, take pictures, and enjoy the activities. Our children had such a great time that they came home tired but happy. We’ll definitely come back again and highly recommend it to other families!
Daryika T — Google review
The best zoo or animal park I have been too (besides Disney's Animal Kingdom). So well maintained and perfect balance of areas and things to do. Great activities for kids and feeding a Giraffe was icing on the cake.
Dennis F — Google review
It is always a pleasure to visit the Brevard Zoo. It is easy to navigate, especially for those who have difficulties walking. The zoo is divided in several sections from Africa to Australia, the Rainforest, and Florida. I personally enjoy the giraffes. At their enclosure you can buy food for the animals and feed the giraffes on a platform high enough to look them straight in the eye. The lion enclosure is newer and quite large, and it includes three brothers. Another cool enclosure is in the Australia section, where you can experience kangaroos without barriers - however, you can only observe, but not touch or interact with them. There are numerous volunteers to answer any questions you may have about the zoo and its animals. They know the personalities, history, and quirks of certain animals which they will happily share with the visitors. This zoo is worth every penny.
Monika K — Google review
GREATLY IMPROVED! OK so admittedly I had not ventured to the Brevard zoo in probably what has been 20 years now. Boy does time fly, right? but they have really made some huge improvements. It's really pleasant and the walkways railings are all in good shape and well maintained. The vegetation has been trimmed and pruned and it just makes for lots of nice greenery surrounding you as you stroll along. there were enough animals and exhibits to keep it interesting and was very good the way everything was laid out!
Jodie — Google review
My kids and I really liked this zoo! I’d consider this a medium sized zoo (not as big as Miami Zoo but definitely bigger than the Palm Beach Zoo). There are a lot of animals to see and there are quite a few volunteers around the park who are happy to tell you about the animals. There is a little kids water area which is great for cooling off, a petting zoo, and areas where you can feed certain animals. The food options are good but expensive. My children and I spent 3.5 hours visiting and were able to see everything. I plan on visiting again in the future.

Great beach access from this park. Plenty of parking during weekdays. Looks like some beach access boardwalks are being improved and under construction. Clean restroom. Nice and in working order outdoor shower to rinse off. Shower has convenient option to rinse off just legs, which some other beachside parks in the area are lacking. Looks like the volleyball courts are also being well cared for.

It was awesome! We went for my daughter's 11th birthday and had a blast. It was an hour and a half drive from us but it was worth it. Everyone was very friendly, they had so many arcade games, two different racing tracks for adults ( 54" & taller) and one kids track. They also had a drop tower, paddle boats, laser tag, mini golf, and batting cages. It is worth getting the whole day wristband to get on rides and play Lazer tag as many times as you want. We went on Tuesday and basically had the whole place to ourselves. I would definitely go again.
Jezabeth R — Google review
Being able to get $35 off for the tickets was somewhat better than the actual price of $49 per person for an all-day ticket. For one the golf course really needs work, there's supposed to be water running through the entire thing and it's bone dry along with some of the carpeting on each course very tore up and mangled. There are random plastic PVC pipes just poking out of different places it looks really old and non playable. Some courses were uphill and wonky so we had to chase our ball down the sidewalk so it wouldn't roll through the fence outside the park. I don't feel like even if it's an entire day worth of fun here or what they considered fun anyway, it's not worth the price. They also do not allow food or drinks inside the establishment which makes it very hard to enjoy anything outdoors because you die of heat stroke. We had to keep going outside to our vehicle to get our drinks and then go back inside. All around really annoying because I do not want to pay an arm and a leg for drinks either. The arcade is small and not much to choose from. You'd have to spend quite a bit to get any good prizes. i noticed a plushy in the claw machine that had a significant amount of black mold on it. Disgusting! ☢️Overall The Establishment is very old and run down and definitely not worth the price. I would suggest going elsewhere because even with this coupon that saved us $35, at the end of the day I still feel like we could have went to somewhere better. Update, the complimentary card that comes with the Groupon, you are not allowed to use on claw machines and does not work with getting points for prizes. Completely stupid.
Punkie T — Google review
Buy the Groupon! We had a blast! We caught it on a good day where there was no wait for any of the attractions! Go karts, rock climbing, batting cages, bumper boats, arcade, laser tag all included in the Groupon! Everyone was super friendly too!

What I can say considering the weather was not in our favor. The staff is amazing. At the time of our visit. The courtesy was incredibly. Every step of the way. They worked hard around the weather and catered to guest beat they could give the situation. My son loves the experience so much he requested to go back. And because the service of the staff, me as the parent supports his decision.

We used a Groupon and enjoyed ourselves. The go-carts were fun. My daughter loved the 360 ride and the rock climbing. The baseball bats were bent, and they were uncomfortable to use. The pitches were inconsistent. The girl in the laser tag was very nice. She was fun to talk with. All the team members were nice and seemed to like their job.

Went twice 2 months apart. Usually half of the rides and attractions are unavailable. Wait times per turn are up to 25 minutes. I had an incident where my wristband time went out. But I was standing in line for 20 minutes and missed it by 1 minute and was unable to use the attraction. Not worth the price and will not return.

I came here with my wife for the first time to check it out before coming with extended family. The broadwalk was well maintained and provided a nice path for most people to travel on. Nice signage and paper guide with descriptions of areas of interest. There was plenty of shade on the broadwalk. There was ample parking across the road. There is a library next door with parking as well. We visited the learning center which is located before the broadwalk. It is a nice little center to learn about the animals in the area. There are multiple trails off of the broadwalk as well.

Amazing local hidden gem. Pictures are from the flood trail. It had rained alot so the water was just on level with the wooden path, it almost felt like walking on water. Definitely a beautiful and serene walk

Very nice walk with well marked trails and maps alomg with warning signs and identifying plants. The board walk has engraved memorials You can purchase a board to be engraved for a fair fee I believe was $75. We saw lots of turtles, lizards and a manatee, unfortunately no gators were visible on our walk. Although the sign at the beginning of the trail said the mosquito level at a 4 rating we weren't very bothered by them.

I have lived here in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area for almost 3 decades and probably passed by this place over a thousand times. I guess I didn't know what I was missing. I arrived at the crack of dawn and found an extensive trail system with plenty of boardwalks and off-boardwalk trails (and the occasional spider web). I saw a bobcat run by as I was walking the Hammock Loop (which isn't closed btw). I also saw several manatees in Turkey Creek as well as a turtle or three. Back along the trails, I happened upon a racoon and several squirrels. It was overall a relaxing and amazing experience. I will definitely be returning.

What a wonderful hidden treasure in Palm Bay! Free parking and the first thing you walk up to is a butterfly garden. There is a variety of paths you can take for your walk - a path for those who like to exercise that have various exercise stations throughout; a hiking path that meanders through areas of shade and some sunny spots. My favorite was the boardwalk. This meandering walk features boards engraved in quotes, people's names, groups and honoring a loved one's memory. For a small donation of $75 to this nonprofit, you can have a board engraved. The path features little side areas where you can view beautiful scenery. It's also a self-guided tour with information on the fauna throughout. Don't miss the walk on the boardwalk near the water! I saw many turtles, fish and to my excitement, two manatees swimming slowly by. Stop by the information center for a bottled water, displays and purchase inexpensive jewelry as a memento of your special day!
