Nice drive Nice views .. beautiful scenery if your trying to save time getting to Crested Butte it's fairly shorter then going through Gunnison .

We decided we wanted to take Keblar Pass on our way back home, as we came to see the aspens peak season! We were so happy we did, this was actually some of the prettiest scenery we had seen our entire Colorado trip , we came Late September & the views were endless, lookout spots. The road turns into gravel but signage was super helpful and it did not feel unsafe! If you are considering if it’s worth it , this time of year I can vouch it is definitely worth it!

Kebler Pass is one of Colorado’s most stunning fall drives! The golden aspens stretch for miles, creating a glowing canopy of color. The road winds through breathtaking mountain views and peaceful meadows. Absolutely worth the trip for anyone chasing peak fall foliage!

Drove the road east to west on July 7, 2024 as bypass for the closed middle bridge over Blue Mesa Reservoir on US50. With the closure I expected high traffic, especially at the end of a holiday weekend but it was light. Expect about 20 miles of gravel road, but in good condition with only a little washboard and a few pot holes. Speeds of 25-30mph were quite comfortable. I see no reason why ordinary passenger cars would find difficulty, but don’t be in a hurry. Take some of the time you saved by not detouring to I70 to slow down and enjoy the wild flowers and amazing scenery. But please stay in your lane when rounding bends, more than once we met an oncoming car taking the middle of the road. We had a delightful drive.

We had amazing experience driving through Kebler Pass during fall colors (1st week of Oct), it was drizzling on the day and driving on wet gravel road was challenging, but the fall color views were worth it !

Sam was friendly and informative. She got us booked last minute and met us ahead of our tour to ensure we were well prepared. Our tour guide, Jerry, was a pleasure. Not only is he an accomplished outdoorsman, he was the perfect mix of corny jokes + local history + personal anecdotes. We felt totally safe with him behind the wheel and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him for the day. Both Sam and Jerry frequently offered to take photos of our group and checked to make sure everyone was comfortable. If you are in the Marble area, this is a must do!

Crystal river Jeep tours is hands down the best money spent on an adventure. Don’t hesitate to book with Sam , all her staff are so delightful and a joy to ride with . I went into the jeep tour with my boyfriend and best friend a little nervous but the anxiety quickly faded as our tour guide, Jerry, talked us through everything and provided both a good history of the town and prime scenic shots. He kept us informed if there was a tricky section coming up and I felt totally comfortable to look around and enjoy the amazing views and experience. It was his birthday, which he chose to work because he loves his job that much, so we all sang happy birthday on the summit, in the snow, and then started our way down. On the way down we saw some beautiful waterfalls. Jerry also helped pick the perfect place for lunch, which turned out to be the perfect spot for my boyfriend to propose! Needless to say, Jerry will be getting Christmas cards and postcards and everything in between for years to come - he truly is a gem and the tour was spectacular because of him.

This was an amazing way to see part of the Crystal Mill, Elk Mountains and surrounding wilderness that many don't see. Elle was an amazing guide and made the experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend when visiting the Carbondale/Aspen/Crested Butte area.

I had an incredible experience at this mountain resort! The snowboarding conditions were perfect, with well-maintained slopes and plenty of variety for all skill levels. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the overall experience even better. The resort’s facilities, including equipment rentals and après-ski options, were top-notch. Definitely a must-visit spot for any snowboarding enthusiast. I’ll be coming back for sure!

They only rent out the 4th floor & there is NO elevator! Plus, it's 2 flights of stairs to the bedrooms upstairs! I counted 88 stairs from my bedroom to the parking lot! I had a total knee replacement a few months ago & was barely able to survive 3 days here. My aunt who is a senior also had a difficult time. I would NOT recommend this place unless you are fit. Also noted is the fire station has put a ban on the livingroom fireplace & our TV upstairs wouldn't even turn on.

Crested Butte is absolutely beautiful one of the most stunning ski towns in Colorado. The mountain itself is known for being steep, deep, and challenging, which makes it an amazing destination for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. It’s definitely not the most beginner-friendly resort, but if you’re comfortable on the slopes or looking to push yourself a bit, Crested Butte is 100% worth the trip. The terrain is legendary, the views are unreal, and the whole vibe of the town is welcoming and laid back. A must-visit if you love real mountain skiing and want something a little more rugged and thrilling than the typical resort experience.

Tougher location to get to if flying into Denver. We drove through pretty nasty snow storm. Can’t say anything about the rooms or service as we stayed at a Vrbo but the mountain definitely has some tough terrain. The double blacks kicked our asses! Great ski spot. Just be cautious of the rocks. We got to see some paragliders take off which was pretty cool!

This is the 2nd year in a row we have been skiing here and we absolutely love it. The snow and slopes are very good. There is a big variety of green, blue and black level terrain. We love staying at a hotel right at the base so we can walk to everything. There is a decent amount of restaurants and bars in the area. The mountains are beautiful!

I bought an Epic pass with the intent of going all over the place and I only went here. I'm not mad about it! Crested Butte is the best and will always be the best! The fact they are now owned by Vail resorts is the only downside (screw you Vail! Treat your employees with some respect!). Despite that, they are still the best place in Colorado for resort skiing, but don't tell anyone!

The mountain and facilities are great from the start of the day. Everything took a turn for the worst at the end of the day upon arrival to the car. We parked at the main lot, and since it was our first time to CB we asked for information upon arrival to the lot. We were instructed to pay upon exit at the manned guard shack. Apparently the staff is not trained on the policy and procedures. We arrived to a $75.00 parking ticket. Upon arrival to our car, with a parking ticked, there was no staff to be found. Captive audience with no one to appeal to. Thanks a lot CB for the lack of assistance and a simple "pay me more money." I will remember this experience as I frequent many mountains and interact with many patrons. I hope you remedy this situation with your staff as too improve your guest experience moving forward.

The road to the mill is beautiful but a bit scary at times, definetly worth it though, be sure to check out the town of Crystal too ❤️

This is an epic adventure with a beautiful destination. 4x4 high clearance vehicles required. If you are going to do the entire loop do it clockwise, counter is more difficult. Lots of shelf road and very bumpy and rocky road.

This place is absolutely beautiful! We did the Jeep Tour up here and glad we did. Our Rav4 wasn't going to get up there lol. The small jeep compass that was behind us on the way back down, rode high and center, scraping the front end and undercarriage to pieces and popped a tire. Good luck getting a tow truck to come get you and not pay under 1k for it. Be smarter when attempting the drive. Getting there is one thing, coming back down is another.

Love the views nice hike amazing river . Get ready to walk 5 miles up and 5 miles down. But it’s worth it.

The rain poured for most of our four-mile trek to the Mill. Fortunately, it eased up for a quarter of an hour, and I used every second of that fifteen-minute reprieve to snap some quick photos.

We took our kayak out for its maiden voyage a few weeks ago. At first, we had planned to check out Rifle Gap Res but decided to go with the smaller Res for our first time. The park was clean, and the water was absolutely stunning. It was surprisingly crowded this day, but we were able to find an area to launch and hit the lake. It was windy as can be with some choppy waves, but nonetheless, we enjoyed it and can't wait to get out there this summer!

I love morning, ot a great lake to fish, paddle board, and swim. The swim area is nice. They have tables and grills.

Went out to SUP, had a great first experience. Park was free from trash, other visitors were friendly and respectful. Watch for the wind in the afternoon, always be sure to have an appropriate PFD available!

It was a good spot for paddleboarding . The water was nice and warm. We were amazed by the color the water. You can also swim and do picnics. There are picnic tables and some grills in the area. Highly recommend this spot to do some water activities .

Lovely lake views! We happened upon Harvey Gap State Park on our way to Rifle Falls but this ended up being the highlight of our day! The lake was gorgeous and we hiked around and found an unexpected (to us) waterfall!

Had the pleasure of working with Desiree for the group rates. The customer service was AMAZING. She was able to meet all of the needs of our group including switching ski days for some of us who became sick, sign some of us up last minute for ski schools, and refund lift tickets and rentals for some of us that got injured. Ski conditions were awesome! No lines for the lifts, rentals were very nice, trails had fluffy fresh powder. This place is a real hidden gem!

I love this place. We come back almost every year. It’s far enough away from the really big resorts that it feels like you get. Local vibe, and usually the mountain is not too crowded. Great spot for beginners or advanced, as the lifts are super easy and the mountain has lots of great trails. Absolutely recommend taking a day or two here!

Great place to ski with a family. Very affordable and close to Glenwood. We had a group of 6 kids and 4 adults and everyone enjoyed the snow. Snack bar had very good food and was cheap!!! I highly recommend the Chicago hot dog. Delicious. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Locals ski mountain with ample tree terrain for those who want to adventure. Great for families. Lodge has food and beverage, feels a bit nostalgic in ways.

Best run of the season for us, myself with beginner 5 and 13 year old. This place was perfect. Long nice slopes. There weren't many people in the slopes. Beautiful views.

Sunlight is a beautiful gem! Has all the views and great CO snow but isn't crowded. The lifts are definitely a little ancient but our family had a blast at this resort. Everyone is so nice! Has runs for everyone! We stayed at the Gnarly Inn at the bottom which is an experience in itself. About 20 min from Glenwood Springs.

I give this resort 4.5 stars! It would receive 5 stars if the kids in the rental shop were a little better trained. This resort shined in other areas though! First, it's very uncrowded and has some great long runs. The lifts were not the greatest but so many times I would look ahead and behind me on a run and...I was the only one there. The staff was super friendly, from the lift attendants to the lodge cafe workers to Bill in the locker office. The food was great and reasonably priced compared to other resorts. We did not have great snow unfortunately and there were some icy patches but did I mention that I had the mountain to myself many times? I improved so much. We put a 13 year old in ski lessons the first morning and not only were they super reasonable, she graduated to blues by the second day. We visited NYE weekend. The first day we arrived at 8.30 and parked right in front of the entrance. Second day we arrived at almost 10 and had a 1 or 2 minute walk. We used our Indy passes and it was super easy. Just show them at the lift ticket window in exchange for lift tickets. Only once was the beginner lift busy. Again, the lifts could themselves could be better (my boots and skis felt like 500 pound weights without foot rests) but if you want wide open spaces to ski, this is the place!

If you have a handicap tag or plate, you’re allowed to drive up to the entrance and purchase a vehicle pass without needing a reservation. You can go up at any time of the day — no advance booking is required for vehicles with handicap tags or plates. For all other visitors, you must make a reservation in advance with a specific time slot. If you buy a shuttle ticket for a certain time and arrive late, you’ll need to wait in line and board a later bus only if there’s space available. Parking is paid and collected upon arrival. If you wish to drive your own car, make sure to arrive before 8:00 AM — after that, access to the mountain is only allowed via the shuttle bus. Hope this helps anyone planning to visit!

Great hike to Crater Lake. Try to get there early with the shuttle. It a moderate hike with some elevation a lot of boulders and rocks but it's worth while. It's like walking on the moon

We arrived at Aspen Highlands where we parked the car and took a bus ride that took about 20 minutes to the site. There are several easy trails around the lake and also the option of more difficult treks. We traveled in June and the conditions were pleasant, a light jacket was enough. It is worth reserving a place in advance for parking or transportation.

I love it! It's an easy round trail. If you would like a more challenging hike, you could take the trail to Crater Lake. Before going, people should buy round-trip shuttle tickets online. Remember the last bus of the day.

Lovely, smaller amusement park with plenty to do. Our group went during the week (Thursday) and had a blast. Line wait times were short and all the rides were exciting. The food was also pretty decent (burgers and chicken tenders - as to be expected with these locations). I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance and paying a little extra ($10 when we went) for preferred parking. It's absolutely worth it as you can park right next to (if not very close) the gondolas that take you to the park.

Took my dad and my son here. My dad loves these rides. They’re unique because they’re hanging over the mountain, which adds a little extra thrill. It’s a great place not a lot of lines. We usually go in September October. Beautiful view from the mountain tops and the food is not that bad. The Cape tours are pretty cool too. The people that give the tour seem like they really enjoy it and are very knowledgeable about how caves work and all of the formations..

The views are stunning. The prices are reasonable. The coaster is probably one of the funnest things I’ve ever done and the cave tours are absolutely amazing if you have kids or even just if you’re an adult, the gondola ride is really fun and just the views when you come out of the caves or up top I absolutely love it here and if you’re visiting, you should check it out and do all of the rides and all of the cave tours, the guides and the tour guides are absolutely amazing extremely knowledgeable extremely funny. I absolutely love every time I come to visit going to Glenwood Springs and go to the adventure park.

Being a park and coaster enthusiast I’ve been to many parks. I had heard mostly good things about Glenwood Caverns and decided to take a day trip up there with a friend. I was thoroughly impressed with the park! The pricing felt reasonable for the attractions offered, service and staff were excellent, the atmosphere was quite nice, the food was decent, and the rides were of a good quality overall! I especially enjoyed the cave tours and 4 coasters! The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made for a fun experience inside both caves! I do wish they had a few more rides with more variety, but what they have is great!

After I got around the hiccup that was me figuring out the free parking, the GCAP was a excellent addition to my Glenwood experience. The views up there are hard to beat, and while we intitially were up there in nothing but rain and fog, when the clouds finally parted it was truly magical. It is to be noted that the adventure park is a bit limited to what younger children can do (think 10 and under) and some of the rides are a bit too high intensity for those of young age and wrangling any youngsters in caves can also be a hassle. I wasn't wrangling children myself but parents be aware. The caverns are absolutely stunning but the Fairy Cavern miiiight trigger the unknowning claustrophobic (don't find out the hard way folks) Overall - lovely experience - definitely recommend.

Yes you can drive up on Transfer Trail, up to the lot where I took these picture. Transfer Trail is a free public road. There is a separate back service only private road with restricted access to Glenwood Cavern Adventure park that is not open to the public. It is gated with no trespassing, but all other roads are free and open to the public. It is a totally free drive, mostly gravel, but no need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Nice place to stop, enjoy the views, enjoy your picnic lunch. If you like, you can also visit Glenwood Adventure Park, ride the Gondola up and enjoy all the park has to offer. Gate passes run from $37 to $84 per person per day. I didn't see any family friendly pricing options on their website. Enjoy.

We visited a weekday at the end of October and it was fantastic. Only one food vendor was open at this time but that’s the only downside. The rides are fantastic for adrenaline junkies and there were little to no lines. We love a good cave as well and the tours were great! Highly recommend the black light tour of fairy caves.

First time on the mountain and what a great time it was! Came out for a bachelor trip and it didn’t disappoint! The weather was warm but there were a couple nights we got snow and really brought some fresh pow onto the mountain Didn’t get to ride all the mountains but highly recommend! Will be back!

I love this ski mountain. It has a variety of runs. Amazing variety. They have all kinds of national or like world wide competitions from time to time. Mountain is huge with so many different lifts. It’d take like 30 mins to traverse from one side to the other. The blue/black runs are on the easy side. But double blacks are standard double black difficulties. Mountain is not crowded at all. There are many many food options. Even a decent proper restaurant on the top of the black run area on the bottom left. Pretty decent views. Parking lot could be hard to find unless paid parking. Then there’s public transport which people take but it’s super slow compared to driving yourself. I also love the Aspen logo cap. I bought 3 in different colors 💀 after I left. The downtown is nice too. Many boutique stores like almost anything you can think ofz Only few months to go till the next season🙂‍↕️what can I say I love this place.

Beautiful place to go with your family! It has many things to do including rental of ski and snowboard, they also offer classes until 3:30PM to teach you how to ski or snowboard, it has many restaurants to eat with your family or friends and many stores to look around for something interesting, it also has attractions for the little ones. Tamarack, it's an amazing place to stay, super clean and comfy, I recommend. Overall and amazing experience with astonishing views and a lot of fun the only bad side is that everything is overpriced so if you want to have a great experience save some money and pray to not spend more than 2000$ a day with restaurants and ski rentals.

Après-ski in the village is just as magical, offering a perfect mix of lively bars, upscale restaurants, and boutique shopping. Aspen Snowmass truly has it all—world-class skiing, stunning views, and a vibrant atmosphere. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable trip!

Aspen Snowmass is truly one of the best ski resorts out there! While the prices can be on the higher side, the amazing experience you get makes it all worth it. The resort takes great care of its groomed pistes, with most slopes being maintained daily to ensure you have fantastic skiing conditions. At Snowmass, you’ll find a fantastic variety of trails to suit all skill levels—whether you’re just starting or looking for a thrilling adventure on double diamond runs. One of the best things about Snowmass is the super short lift lines! This means you can spend more time enjoying the slopes and less time waiting. The spacious pistes allow for plenty of room to ski at your own pace, and the trees around help with visibility too. Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to help, which makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, Snowmass Mountain offers a ton of activities and experiences. In my opinion, it really outshines Aspen Mountain, giving skiers a more well-rounded and enjoyable skiing adventure!

One of my favorite place to ski and spend my winter vacation. It’s got all level Of slopes for all skier. Staff, coaches and all people in town are so super friendly and nice. The town is beautiful and clean love coming back always!

Came here for a tour of the distillery with some friends - great way to spend an afternoon. Maddie was our tour guide and was phenomenal. The whiskey is top-notch, and the ambience is great throughout the distillery. Highly recommend spending an afternoon/evening here!

This place was such a great stop on our bike ride. Stopped here for a quick cocktail from our bike ride on the Rio Grande bike trail. Bartenders were super friendly and drinks were Delicious. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic skiing and fantastic vibe (and absolutely stunning) — I only warn that it is a more difficult mountain for beginners If you’re a beginner, maybe start at Snowmass or Buttermilk (which are just a brief shuttle/bus-ride away)

Aspen is one of my favorite places to ski, because of the abundance of snow and challenging terrain. Some of the best powder I have ever skied in. The snow is incredible. Only downside is the scarcity of real ski in-ski out accommodations. I recommend the Shadow Mountain condos which are truly slope side. You can ski up to the condos, within 10 feet of the door.

This is a very nice area with gorgeous views. You can see for miles. We had lunch at one of the little cafes and the food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating and the area was clean and well kept. We had an enjoyable day at the top and would love to go again.

Very nice ride to mountain top. The mountain top restaurant is a excellent place to enjoy some wine. During inclement weather the ride stops for several hours so plan accordingly.

Very nice ski resort, with helpful and friendly staff. The Gondolas were well maintained and clean. As well the ride to the top of Ajax mountain was very pleasant with the breathtaking scenery all around you. The Sundeck restaurant at the top is a great spot to warm up or take in a luncheon as you overlook the city of Aspen and all the beautiful surrounding mountains.

I'm from Kentucky. Not as much fried chicken as I would expect... But I came here to ski. The app is great. The employees are very helpful. The resort is currently respectfully of covid protocols. Much appreciated. Great lifts and diverse terrain.

Beautiful place. We had trouble finding the actual walk. There was a homeless guy sleeping in some trees by the river tho. But we had a short wander, cruised an old bridge, saw some art, said we would come back next visit.

I loved this place. Went there several times during my stay in Aspen. It is so well manicured and beautiful in the morning and sunset. I took a million pictures and became John Denver fan!

Very nice way to honor John Denver. The sanctuary is well thought out and a tribute to his love of nature. The rock garden can be emotional with the lyrics of some of his most popular songs on them. Parking can be a challenge. There were games going on in the adjacent park, so had to park down the street.

The John Denver Sanctuary is pure magic. Peaceful paths, inspiring words carved into stone, and an atmosphere that feels like shooting hoops up in the sky ⛹🏼 Everything here is serene, uplifting, and unforgettable.

Even in light rain this place is beautiful and Free. Footing can be a little tricky when wandering. Not really wheelchair friendly.

As a John Denver fan, I figured I would love this place, but it exceeded expectations. The flowing water and manicured grounds provided by this little sanctuary are incredibly well conceived. The fall colors during peak week made the garden pop. Highly recommended during the first week of October for anyone looking to breathe in some peace and serenity, not just those who appreciate Denver's songwriting. Insightful quotes and beautiful scenery are a perfect way to reflect, regardless of your taste in music.

I had to wake up early to arrive there around 8 with my family. For entry, a reservation is needed to be permitted in; lucky, we were prepared with one. Before entering the trail, there was construction happening to the parking lot and parts of the trail that were blocked off. Near where the hiking trail begins, a section of the sidewalk is blocked, and we walk where barriers are connected to the other side. There are no struggles that happen at the beginning of the trail, thankfully. When hiking up, I thought it would take many minutes to get to the lake, but it was shocked when I saw the last stone staircase under 30 minutes. I am amused how the trail, known to be really rocky and loose with rumble, was a simple journey to walk through. Now, the lake itself is gorgeous to look at and take photos, but the path too has delightful details that make the journey already worth the visit. Honestly, writing a review on this location is a favor to go outside and take a break from the clutter-y week. Take care of yourself ❤️

The Hanging Lake Trail is about 2 miles long with some elevation, but it’s an easy hike thanks to the steps along the way. The lake at the end is beautiful, and the view is absolutely spectacular. We’ll definitely do it again!

We ran out near the top of the trail. My 10 year old with asthma made it and said it was absolutely worth it ! The lake is gorgeous, dreamy, better than expected. Absolutely worth the hike. Bring a snack to lunch at the lake before heading back down. In total took us 2.5 hours round trip moving at a reasonably slow pace.

The trail is long it’s better to start early so that one can finish before 2 pm and you are below treeline by 12 pm, we started at 5:15 am and finished around 1:30 pm but this included all stops and time at summit the moving time was around 6:15 hrs. The trail should be known for it’s false summit. There are atleast 3 before you hit the real summit. The day today was windy and it hit us hard above the treeline and at the summit. The views at the top were rewarding and worth the effort. The parking gets full early so it’s better to be there before 5 am on a weekday, even earlier on weekends. A great hike and the elevation does hit you at 14200 Feet, but nothing too bad if you have good lungs and are fit. Overall the trial is well kept and maintained, great class I hike to start with the 14neers

We chose the North trail, and while it’s not a bad route at all, it is quite steep. I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners or for anyone who hasn’t had time to acclimate to the altitude. There is a free parking lot with a restroom, but that’s where the infrastructure ends – which is a bit of a shame. In Poland, mountain trails often lead to huts with full service at the summit, where you can order food or a hot drink after a demanding hike. Here the trail feels wild and untouched, which is definitely worth appreciating. Still, I think it would be helpful to have small, empty huts above the tree line where hikers could take cover from the wind, which can be very strong (at least in September). That said, I’d still recommend the hike. It’s a fun adventure and a rewarding challenge.

Third time climb to Mt Elbert, one time on black cloud(south east)trail, two times on north trail. The North trail was most easy way to the summit, the black cloud was definitely the most beautiful trail and the hardest trail, the summit was amazing, will visit again.

highly recommend bringing spikes, hiked this weekend probably would've been a lot easier with spikes unless you like sprained ankles :) some ice up up top at the summit, pretty windy, about 16 miles, 5k feet elevation gain, and almost 8 hours there and back

Very informative ! This is a great place to learn about the history of mining in Leadville, State of Colorado and the entire United States. There is a lot of information for gold mining to coal mining and everything in between if your in Leadville and have an hour or so and want to check out the museum you won’t be disappointed. This is in the old school house we were told.

Such a neat place. You could easily spend a few hours here learning about history of the area and interacting w/displays. Staff is super friendly and happy to tell you anything you need to know about Leadville area.

As a descendant of an immigrant miner and also Baby Doe on my husband's side, the museum held a lot of significance. The interactive exhibits were very realistic. You can spend a few hours here and learn quite a bit.

Awesome old School Building turning into a Mining Museum and Hall of Fame. Lots of cool mining facts and artifacts to see. There's an awesome Miniature room, and several immersive walk through rooms that transport you under the earth. Also didn't trigger my Claustrophobia at all.

Just a perfect museum. Either a willingness one comes away with such an incredible treasure of new knowledge. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service! Camelot Balloons was by far the most fun I have ever had in any sort of recreation aviation! The service was superb, the staff were delightful and cheerful, Merlin was spectacular and a true flying ace, the whole experience was magical! Bring an extra $100 for the pictures and slide show because you'll be begging to get a copy from their professional photographer, Scott. Again, I can't stress enough how amazing this experience was, I would go again in a heartbeat.

We had a nice experience though we did not venture far from the take-off spot through out our entire flight - a little disappointing but likely necessary given the terrain. There was a nice post flight champagne gathering with other patrons with some fun story telling by the pilot of ballooning history and personal flight experiences.

Nice place but 2 hour trail ride was mostly traveling the same hill and area - would have liked more variety and different scenery... horses were docile enough and the stable help were pleasant. Guide was a great guy but needed to be able to answer questions more about the area, plants and what we were seeing. It was pricey too for a horseback riding as we gave been on several now as a family abd paying over $500 was about 25% more than I have ever paid...

Could not be more pleased with our experience with Bearcat Stables! It’s a privately owned stable, the owner is present and friendly. Everyone we interacted with was knowledgeable, kind, and professional. We had such a wonderful day - a 2 hr ride - with a wrangler and 7 others. All of the horses were docile and matched up well with the riders. I would go back anytime! You won’t be disappointed!

This is a friendly stable. They have nice trail guides, friendly staff, and calm horses. They also have a friendly cat and dogs. We enjoyed our 2 hour trail ride. It is recommended to tip your trail guide. This ride is more out in the open with a lot of up and downs. I recommend this place to all that want to get a horse ride in and great views.

We came for an hour and a half ride in August for a bachelorette trip! We had 11 people and 2 wranglers. We had a couple nervous riders who needed up having the time of their lives!! The views are beautiful and the horses are very calm. The staff were so friendly and we ended up getting drinks in the cozy cabin and sat outside afterwards! Definitely come here for an amazing experience!!

It was a great ride and I’d do it again! Very friendly people and quality horses. Diane was our guide and she did an amazing job! We were lucky to see several elk including a nice bull.

We hosted a 2 year old birthday party here and it was perfect. It could host a big group or small. The horses were great with the kids and the staff were awesome. They had a full bar and made great cocktails. The kids also loved the little playhouse on the property. Definitely will be going back for more horse rides and a future party venue. It would be so fun to do an adult party there with a band. Great vibes all around.

We had a beautiful 4 hour mountain ride with Taylor (alias mushroom queen). Great horses and spectacular views and trail with a lunch stop included at a mountain top meadow. It seems like the owner’s daughter runs the show and met us in the parking lot and herded us to the checkin station. Sweetest thing on earth. We’ll come back to ride with Taylor again but that 4 day ride sounds pretty sweet

Our experience at this resort was truly exceptional. The breathtaking mountains provided a fantastic backdrop, and the ski and snowboard school exceeded our expectations, with outstanding instructors who were both skilled and engaging. However, what truly distinguished our visit were the dedicated employees who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. When my son had a minor fall on the mountain, Olivia in rentals took the time to listen to my mother’s concerns and addressed them with great care. Her thoughtful assistance made a significant difference. Additionally, Winter from first aid was incredibly patient and understanding, providing excellent care to both my 5-year-old and myself. We are already looking forward to returning for another memorable experience!

Absolutely love Ski Cooper!!!! I love smaller resorts- less crowded with a family feel. I went on Saturday thinking it would be busy. There was quite a crowd, but not bad at all. I love the runs- perfect for beginners. I love that with the main ski lift you can already access greens, blues, and a few blacks without going any further, if you don't want to. My only take away is I wish they had a bigger or another retail store. Other than that, another favorite resort of mine!

My favorite place to ski!!! I’ve been to a few mountains, but always want to come back to Ski Cooper. My husband and I have been going here for 15 years now. We did take a big break since Covid and having a baby, but the renovations are amazing! The staff is always the best! The most friendliest people. We love ski cooper ❤️❄️

We took it family here to ski and snowboard Christmas week and we loved it! This was it first time skiing and boarding so we took lessons from the ski school. Our ski instructor, Larry, was awesome and very patient with us! Our daughter’s snowboard instructor was also amazing! We didn’t make it off the Family Ski Slope but we had a blast. By the end of the day, we had all gained a lot of confidence. Every employee we encountered here was very nice and welcoming. We rented all our gear from Cooper and for folks who don’t know anything it was fine. This is a very unpretentious ski resort, it was not very crowded, and it was easy to get around. We are lunch at the cafeteria and it was pretty good. Our only critique is there aren’t any places to sit and take a break except in the lunch and bar areas.

What an amazing ski resort!!! I've been all over CO. and I always see rude employees... NOT at Ski Cooper!!! The staff was super friendly, very patient and kind!!! What a spectacular venue, family friendly, full of beginner and intermediate runs, but with those double blacks as well to satisfy the seasoned skiers/snowboarders! Everything about the place was chill, not even 1 person on the slopes was angry and yelling about lines, because everyone was very respectful to everyone else!!! Of course, there's a taproom and it's very quaint but such a cool vibe inside!!!! I highly recommend taking your family here!

I’d love to keep this place a secret but man it’s just too good! Amazing prices and vibes. Came on the Thursday before Christmas and the crowds were TINY! Only con to this ski resort is the slow lifts, it took about 11 minutes to gain 1000ft of vert.

However, I have been trying to reach someone this week with questions, and the phone line is engaged no matter when you call. The online form still isn't working. No email listed on their website. Beautiful gondola ride and scenic views from the top. I am not sure if It is year round or not but they have 5 person chairs and gondola cars running on the same lift. We had beautiful weather so we rode up on the open air chairs for the best view. I recommend that... weather permitting of course.

We loved our week long stay. Our son had great ski school lessons with Sean in level 5. Truly a magical place. Exceptional skiing as well as an incredibly beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return.

We just went to see Beaver Creek Resort for the first time. We walked around the Village. Very quaint, but a little expensive. I thoroughly enjoyed the art gallery, especially the whimsical photography. My favorite was the cowboy playing golf with a putter in one hand and a rifle in the other. His caddie was a buffalo with the bag of clubs slung over its back. It started to rain, so we ducked into Citrea for brunch. What a lucky break! Again, a little expensive, but very tasty. I recommend the French toast with berries, real maple syrup, and a scoop of maple ice cream. (I did gain three pounds over the weekend.)

Beaver Creek is a really nice, fancy, and luxurious place to ski or snowboard. The resort feels upscale from the moment you arrive beautiful lodges, heated walkways, great service, and a super polished vibe. The terrain is fun and well-groomed, and the whole experience is top-notch. That said, I personally prefer Vail over Beaver Creek. Nothing compares to the back bowls in Vail they’re absolutely legendary and Vail can actually be more affordable, especially when comparing lodging and lift ticket options. Beaver Creek is still an amazing resort, perfect if you enjoy a quieter, more luxurious mountain experience. But if I had to pick one… Vail wins for me every time.

In the summer, the hiking is fantastic with scenic trails, and in the fall, the vibrant leaves are a stunning backdrop. Winter skiing here with our family is always a highlight. It’s such a family-friendly resort with something for everyone to enjoy. The Red Buffalo Express is our favorite spot to ski as a family, offering awesome and varied terrain. Plus, you can’t beat the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies they hand out daily at 3 PM—such a fun touch!

Beaver Creek is a great Ski resort with slopes for everyone and no lines as the lifts are fast, it also has an incredible village full of choices of shopping, restaurants and bars. It’s was a surprise to find lifts closing at 3pm as I’m used the 4pm close times… Beano’s Cabin is a great visit for great creative food while skiing, Chase is an awesome server and GM Ben runs a great ski restaurant. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect going in, but our guide Simon was incredibly helpful, informative, and made me feel completely safe and confident throughout the adventure. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much—our guides were absolutely hilarious and brought so much energy to the day. The zip line course itself was thrilling and so much fun from start to finish. I highly recommend this experience and will definitely be coming back for more!

We had the best time! I was very nervous and the guides were so friendly and encouraging! Jonathan and another guy, I sure wish we remembered his name! The photographer was so sweet too and the girl at the front desk. The waters and the snack and the places to rest along the way were an added touch! We felt very safe, but got that thrilling rush! Had such a fun time here with my daughters ages 11 and 15! Guides were entertaining, safe and knowledgeable. We had an A+ experience from start to finish, check in was smooth and easy, we played corn hole while waiting for the rest of the group to show up and then were treated to a ride in a really cool vintage military vehicle out to the zip line canyon. All of the zips were fun, they kind of start easy to hard. Views were incredible, they gave us plenty of cold water and snacks along the way. Definitely do the canyon drop, soooo fun, really gets the heart rate up haha! I highly recommend this, we can't wait to come back! A must do on any trip to Vail!

Really fun experience for a networking event I attended. The guides were friendly, offered facts about the area, and made jokes along the way. You get to drive to the course in some old historic military vehicles too that adds to the experience. They had snacks and water throughout the course too.

This trip was absolutely amazing! We were welcomed by the manager Eric and he gave us a run down of everything and invited us to explore the ranch (beautiful ranch btw). Then we played yard games and soon after our guides, Simon and Dustin got us ready for the adventure. I gotta say this guys really rock, they were entertaining, enthusiastic and overall they just made our day. The adventure includes a surprise that I promised not to spoil for others but I am definitely looking forward to do this again. Well done guys, me and my friends loved it.

Such an amazing experience! My partner and I have been snowmobiling a few times in Washington and this one was the best experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made us feel safe while giving us a really fun tour. The grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in vail and booked the PM half day and it was such a great day. Left the hotel right before noon and made it back around 6.

Our ATV guide Shane was superb! He explained everything beforehand and was very careful with us. During the stops, he described the mountain ranges and areas so we could learn more about our surroundings. He was fun, friendly, and professional. Definitely an asset to your company.

We had the best time on our 4-hour, Side by Side, self-guided tour! We were greeted by a friendly and helpful lady (unfortunately I did not catch her name) and she got us checked in quickly and fitted us with our helmets and goggles. We received a safety briefing from Nico and he gave us detailed information on the trails, which ones we could drive on and what type of trail we could expect. Some are smooth and easy and others are much rougher and rockier. My husband and I both said it was worth every penny. The views are stunning and we saw lots of deer, marmots and chipmunks. We recommend going in the morning when the animals are more active. The history of Camp Hale is interesting too. Imagining the training that the 10th Mountain Division went through while driving in their "shadows" was exciting to think about. We HIGHLY recommend the Nova Guides tour as it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.

What a wonderful experience. One warning: don't settle for two hours - go for four hours - you won't regret it. We rented the side-by-side for two hours, took a picnic lunch with us, headed to the top of the mountain, sat on the log rail and ate at the top of the world. I got to drive the entire time and wow, what fun! Speed up a little bit and enjoy the ride. I kept steering into the divots to get more excitement. What a rush! Don't skimp, don't go too slow, enjoy the ride, the scenery, and the fun. Wish we had the time to go back the next day to cover some of the trails we missed!

My wife and I had a fabulous time riding snowmobile we rented from Nova Guides! From the onset, the reservation agent provided a wealth of information regarding the snowmobiles and mountains we would be riding and made suggestions to allow us an opportunity to have a great experience. The tutorial of the snowmobile provided by the instructor was helpful as was the map to navigate the mountain. All the staff were very friendly. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time on the unguided four hour excursion. The scenery was amazing! Breathtaking! We look forward to returning and highly recommend Nova Guides snowmobile rentals!

AMAZING TIME! We did the 4 hour unaccompanied snowmobiling and it was perfect!! We were able to go at our own pace and revisit trails that had awesome views. My wife and I had a two person sled and loved the heated handle grips and the seats were super comfortable. We highly recommended this activity and this company for your next adventure!

The rental team was very helpful. The trails in good shape. Overall a very nice time on ATVs.

Peaceful quiet park and alpine garden. There is a cool gift shop near the amphitheater. Bathroom is available in visitor center and kids playground. We really enjoy the nice stroll through the garden and it was raining for a bit so we sat by the garden bench and meditated till it stopped.

Spectacular gardens, free and open to the public, dogs allowed if on leash. We visit these gardens every year and bring a picnic lunch. There is a park next to the Gardens with picnic tables. Also, a very informative visitor center and cute gift shop in a historic school house

While I didn't come at the best time of year for blooms there were plenty to see and the colors of the trees made up for it. The variety of plants here is stunning and the information is really nice I always learn something when I come here. Mostly just being in amongst the trees and plants and the sound of running water in the various ponds and waterfalls throughout the garden are so soothing and relaxing it really is beautiful. Beautiful gardens! Nice place to enjoy a relaxing walk. Good for adults, kids and dogs. Picnic facilities and large playground. Plenty of parking and accessible by bus.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful parks in the country. There was endless fun for the kids - we basically had to pull them away after many hours there. It’s a must visit for young kids in Vail.

The Garden was beautiful but the tour was not what I anticipated. I typically look for interesting information or tidbits that I could not have learned otherwise from a knowledgeable guide. The tidbits we did get were things that were not particularly interesting or helpful to except for you can snowshoe in winter.

Beautiful gardens and amazing flower varieties. It is free to enter the garden. The nearby parking lot costs $2 an hour so if you can park somewhere else try to.

A wonderful experience! 🐎 Riding across 10,000 acres of open space with breathtaking views - freely, without having to follow the horse in front. We were able to simply ride, practice the turns, and enjoy the scenery, the horse, and the company of other riders. We were lucky to have amazing weather, which was a bonus. The small group and our knowledgeable, engaging guide made it even better. A truly unforgettable two-hour ride. I want to go back already 😆 It’s a bit of a drive from Breck/Keystone, but totally worth it. Highly recommended!

5/5 for Rusty Spurr Ranch!! Absolutely worth the easy, beautiful drive from Breckenridge. Our 2 hour trail ride was nothing short of amazing - from the beautiful scenery to the well-taken-care-of (sweet and gentle!) horses, to the “free range” riding, all the way to the experienced guide, we loved our experience. We were even offered the chance to watch the herd be released for their days off, nothing like seeing nearly 50 horses run for fun! Couldn’t recommend this ranch more, we will be back!

What an unreal experience! We drove to the ranch from Breckenridge and the ride to the ranch itself was jaw dropping. My husband has never really rode before and John, our wrangler, could not have been a better teacher. He was not only so helpful, but he was full of great information and an overall joy to be around. The property itself is STUNNING and the views of the surrounding area were unbelievable. We always look for “ethical” adventures when traveling and this place is definitely that. It is great to see how well cared for and healthy the horses are, and their way of life on this ranch is hard to beat. 10/10 experience and we will be back!

Do not sleep on Rusty Spurr Ranch when you are in this area! The most beautiful and well done trail ride I have ever been on! This group of folks at Rusty Spurr loves and takes care of their horses and ranch, and it shows! Our guide, Jean, was so friendly and knowledgeable with our group and all of the horses. The 2 hour trail ride was the perfect way to see the mountains, and we were able to explore and do more than your head to rear trail ride. The views, pictures, and moments were beyond breathtaking, and we are so happy we made this part of our trip!

Wow. Not only is this place absolutely beautiful with mountains all around you, but the service and the horses are incredible! I did a 2-hour trail ride with my fairly inexperienced mom one day, and then I came back the next day for the cattle drive. Both were amazing in such different ways. If you want a more relaxed, sight seeing experience: trail ride. If you want a more active/adventurous experience: cattle drive. You’ll get more out of the cattle drive if you have riding experience and are comfortable on horse back; moving side to side quickly at times and going up and down hills quickly at times. It might be a bit much for a beginner, but definitely doable. And they encourage you to not do anything you’re not comfortable with! Highly recommend. Can’t stress that enough. I’ve got horses at home, but riding in the mountains and moving cattle was new for me and SO worth the money and sore butt lol!

I can’t begin to describe what an incredible experience I had today at Rusty Spurr Ranch! I went on a cattle drive with Han as our guide. He was awesome. So knowledgeable and patient. And really taught us how to drive cattle. For me, this was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. This is the real deal. 10/10 would recommend.

This was our second ride with the ranch and wonderful again! If you are looking for a ride that is NOT head to tail, then this is your place. Connie was knowledgeable, very kind and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. We were treated with a bear sighting up on the mountainside.

We had a fantastic time doing the Upper Colorado with Mad Adventures. We were vacationing in Granby, CO with another family. We had kids that were ages 8 to 14 with four adults in one boat. Big Ben, our boat captain was great! He made the trip so easy. He knew all the history, told us all the wild tales, and was fantastic with the kids. He also was a great guide and captain, as he knew exactly where to go to keep the kids safe, but also let them play and have a wonderful time. It was clear he had over 20 years of experience in whitewater rafting. Highly recommend the trip for kids and beginners, and ask for Ben. He Really did a wonderful job and made it a great day.

Great activity for the whole family. While staying at a local dude ranch (Drowsy Water Ranch), I went on a float trip with two of my kids (13, 10). Everyone had a great time. Tex, Sophie, and Mán were excellent guides. Highly recommended!

We had the best time ever. Our guide (mon maybe.i forget his name):was super attentive and great with the young ones 7 and 9 on board with activities ,water fights, jumping the cliffs, spinning the raft. Total fun.

The team at Mad Adventures were great. Such a easy going, fun, and energetic team that made our trip (2 Adults/3 Kids (10, 8, 7) such a success for our girls first time white water rafting. Special shout out to Ben our guide. He ensured everyone had fun and making the girls feel safe as well. We will return.

Fabulous experience! We opted for the more mellow ride, upper river, because we were traveling with younger kids. It was the perfect level of excitement for our crew with kids ranging from 6-12. Our tour guide threw in some fun games and we all stopped to jump off a rock.

We had our wedding at Aspen Canyon Ranch this summer and it was absolutely perfect. We had over 60 guests and the majority of them stayed at the ranch Friday and Saturday night. The staff was incredible and they made the entire weekend special for us and the guests. They went out of their way to accommodate all our requests and help us solve last minute issues. I would recommend everyone out there who is getting married to go check it out and see how beautiful the ranch is!! Not only for weddings but also for weekend getaways.

We had the most amazing stay this past weekend! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! We had a group of 9 and stayed at Aspen Canyon for 2 days. Everyone in my group absolutely loved this place! We stayed in the cliff house. Every morning we woke up to the most amazing views of the sun coming up over the mountains. The staff is super Friendly and helpful! From the time we showed up Ryan, Amber, David, and Doug made us feel right at home. The food was delicious! Doug is the cook and does an amazing job. We even got dessert after every dinner which wasn't expected! Everyone in my group of 9 people left very happy wanting to make this place an annual destination. I for one will definitely be coming back next year!

Perfect spot for a wedding! It was beautiful in fall. It was so laid back but still an elegant wedding. We had the entire ranch and it was night to be able to hangout with everyone, whether by the large campfire, playing corn hole on the deck, or chilaxing in a hammock by the stream. Only complaint would be what seemed like a transition period with staffing. It was nice they let us run the place without monitoring everything constantly, but there were a couple instances where being able to find a staff member would have been helpful. Overall definitely recommend for a wedding venue!

This ranch is amazing! I can see this place being one of my meditation spots. Beautiful cabins, horses, stream and just plain peaceful. The staff is great and ready to make your experience great. I saved the best for last, it is also 420 friendly. I recommend Aspen Canyon Ranch for a great experience.

We had a great time on or honeymoon at the ranch. The UTV was exciting, and the views are amazing in the fall. It was so relaxing to just hang out and do whatever we wanted. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the food was so good, and the scenery was unbeatable!! It was great to be up i the mountains totally unplugged from cell phones and cable TV. I would definitely recommend this place for a low key relaxing vacation.

We just had our wedding there and it was amazing!!! The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The wedding site was beautiful and the family had fun with the horses, pigs, goats, chickens, shooting range and fishing. It was really a once in a life time experience for my now wife and I, and we owe it all to the ranch. Amazing times and amazing ppl.

We were here for a wedding. The Good: I've never seen such a severely understaffed crew do so much with so little. The Bad: Everything else. This includes the understaffed crew. There were 2-3 employees trying to run the entire ranch while management and owners were never available. Everything they were able to get to was perfect, but the entire property was grossly neglected. The front end of our vehicle needs work just from driving on their property because the roads have not been maintained in years. We paid extra to stay in one of the two houses, but this too was completely rotting from the inside out. The mattress on our bed was manufactured back in the 1980's. I'll let you do the math. The mattress was also completely ripped open on one side. All in all, the mattress was an extremely accurate representation of the rest of the property. The entire place is falling apart.
