If you're looking to take home a piece of Lynchburg after your visit to the distillery, the Jack Daniel's Lynchburg Hardware & General Store is the perfect stop. This charming shop offers an extensive selection of Jack Daniel's merchandise, including apparel, barware, and unique souvenirs that capture the spirit of this iconic brand. While it may not be your typical hardware store, you'll discover delightful keepsakes like keychains and furniture crafted from repurposed whiskey barrels.
Such a nice store in the local village to Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Lots of merchandise and to be honest you could spend a lot of money in here. I spent some. But you could kit your entire house out or home bar.
Scott W — Google review
Definitely stop by here whether you've already done or not done the Jack Daniels distillery store. The have extended merchandise sold here, at this store which is right by other neighboring gift shops. It wasn't too busy when we visited on a weekend afternoon, and he staff here was pleasant. I recommend visiting!
E T — Google review
This is a great place to get Jack Daniel's merchandise. Many great clothing options and other whiskey related souvenirs make it a must-see stop in Lynchburg.
Brian H — Google review
Great store for Jack Daniels items.
Benjamin H — Google review
Great stop while you are in town. Has a lot of Jack Daniels items to buy. Prices are as expected. If you do a tour come here after and get a free shot glass with a $10 purchase. One per person. If your a Jack Daniels fan you will find something to buy if your not then you won’t. Simple as that. They have a shop that makes “stuff” out of the barrels. That was worth coming by to check out as if you need something for your bar at home this is the place to get something.
Paul R — Google review
If you love all things Jack Daniel's this is the place to be. Absolutely awesome. Beautiful store with all the Jack Daniel's merchandise you could want!
Stephen S — Google review
The best selection of Jack Daniels merchandise and souvenirs on the town square! Whether you want a sweatshirt, t-shirt, dress shirt, barware, key chain, recipe book, post card, food items, you can find it here! You can even buy a used Jack Daniels whiskey barrel or half barrel here. Your ticket from the distillery tour is good for a free shot glass if you buy $10 of "stuff" - which is way too easy to do here!
Rosalie M — Google review
It's an old hardware store that has ties to the distillery. It is now being used as the official gift shop of Jack Daniels. It's very spacious and has unique items and gifts for the Jack Daniel's lover. My favorite part of the store was the handmade crafts made from the old used barrels.

Jack Daniel's Distillery Visitor Center

Visitor center
Tours
The Jack Daniel's Distillery Visitor Center serves as the perfect starting point for an unforgettable journey into the world of whiskey. Located just a short drive from Lynchburg, TN, this center offers engaging guided tours that delve into the rich history of Jack Daniel and the intricate process behind crafting their renowned whiskey. Visitors can expect to be captivated by knowledgeable guides who share fascinating stories and insights throughout the hour-long tour.
Great addition to a Nashville trip itinerary. It's quite a drive to get there but the facilities and grounds are beautiful. The tour itself is top notch. Amy was knowledgeable and funny and made all-things whiskey intelligible to a bunch of novices. The tour has some stairs but is generally physically accessible and you could skip the indoor parts with stairs and still get a lot out of it. The tasting room is beautiful and I walked away with a much better understanding and appreciation of whiskey making. Definitely walk into the Lynchburg town square after the tour for some food and souvenir shopping. As will be a surprise to no one, the special gift if you buy some merchandise is a shot glass.
Mary L — Google review
This was one of my favorite tours of all time. Beyond what I was expecting which was just a look around an old distillery. Well it was way more than that. It was a walk back in time and through America’s history. This tour was incredible for how it took you inside the day to day workings of Jack Daniel’s which is the same today, more or less, than it was back in the late 1800s. They have been making old number 7 the same way as the distillery’s founders did all those years ago. This was a wonderful sensory tour combining visual, aural, and aromatic moments that truly drove home what it is to make Jack Daniel’s whiskey. And on top of that was the tour guide Matt. His wonderful personality and engaging style made this tour unforgettable.
Philip D — Google review
The “all about the barrel” tour was absolutely fantastic! We learned so much and enjoyed touring the facilities. Kayla was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining everything. This was a highlight of our trip and we would definitely do it again!
Taylor F — Google review
We went on "A day at Jack" tour and our guide was Justin. It was an amazing tour, newly added. Justin did a fantastic job and made the day so much fun. We were learning and exploring the distillery and process, Miss Mary Bobo's and downtown Lynchburg. There were stories shared, Jack was sampled, great food was consumed, and plenty of laughs were had.
Dave L — Google review
The All About The Barrel Tour was great. Kayla was very informative, patient and entertaining. She knows all the answers and if she didn't she found them out. She is an excellent public speaker and great tour guide. We got to see inside barrel houses, had slushies, went to the rickyard, saw the special water source and Jack Daniel's office. We walked through the process watched a video and ended at a tasting with a few small take home gifts. While at the visitor center stop in the White Rabbit Bottle shop. Mr. Flanders, the security guard, is friendly and had a great conversation. He suggested other things in the area, the next area we were traveling to, and hotel options. There are other tour options but All About The Barrel is a good one. Locally there is some controversy and are some hurt feelings between the origins story. Come check out Jack Daniel's Distillery and visit the area.
Rowanda T — Google review
This was an interesting tour. As a Jack Daniels drinker I was able to see how the whiskey is made. My wife who isn't a Jack Daniels drinker for the tour and the information very interesting. It is amazing what goes into each shot of whiskey. This is a walking tour with a tasting at the end. Be sure to visit the gift shop, you will find some items here that are not available in stores.
William C — Google review
We visited the Jack Daniel’s Distillery today and had a great experience. Our tour guide, Debbie, was incredibly pleasant and made the whole excursion fun and interesting. We really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it!
Diana S — Google review
A really great experience. Let me tell you that you are allowed the tasting and one addition alcoholic beverage which was your choice of Jack and lemonade and or Jack and coke, both are slushies and the slushy is for an additional charge. It was my first tour of a distillery. There were some stairs but not a whole lot. Our host was charming and funny. He told us about the history of the distillery and how they make it all. The tasting room was top notch. They taught us how to really drink whiskey which helped a lot. It was a really amazing tour.

Henry Horton State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Retreat offering an inn, cabins, campsites, a golf course & a restaurant serving Southern fare.
We stayed here last week and it was pretty cold so no water hookups which meant using their bathrooms. They were very clean every single day we were there. The park was very quiet with deer running around. Our campsites were great and the staff was great. This was our first time in Tennessee and I would genuinely go back to this park again. We loved it!
Ashley F — Google review
Not the first time coming here! Won’t be the last!!!! This is the first time that I brought all my kids and wife at the same time. We love the trails, we love the campgrounds, we love the playground all of it! The restrooms were clean and easily accessible, kept warm too I might add.
Nate C — Google review
We love this place. Free to pull up and BBQ. They have cabins you can rent, RV parking and tenting if you live life on the wild side. You can rent pavilions for what ever you want. Prices vary. There also a full size restaurant that has a full size bar. I know they also have a farmers market but check the website for dates. Very important. Obey the speed limits. There is a long stretch of 30 MPG. OBEY They are watching. Have fun.
Eric R — Google review
We only had an afternoon to spend here, but loved our short ‘hike’ around the campground loop. The helpful staff here made it possible for my son (who is non-ambulatory)to use one of the all-terrain wheelchairs. There was no cost for this., and it enabled him to enjoy the beauty of the state park. we even got to have a picnic way off the beaten path! High five to the park staff and to the great state of Tennessee for providing this wonderful service and this beautiful park!!
Pamela H — Google review
Very nice experience! Actually clean bathrooms and showers. We went kayaking on the one way river with a 3 mile hike back to out vehicle and it wasn't bad. The only thing is the kids have no boundaries when running around. I know it is a camp site but....
Incognito D — Google review
Great state park in Tennessee near family. We had an excellent experience here. Even the other campers were very considerate.
John S — Google review
Very nice large clean park on both sides of the highway. Walking areas, river access, camping, trails, wetlands. A TN gem!
Luis B — Google review
This park has it all! Fishing, shooting range, golf, Frisbee golf, playgrounds, a pool, bird watching areas, a lodge, camping ( rv, and primitive/ tent camping) they even have hammock camping. They have a nice new restaurant, beautiful hiking trails, and more. Everything is fairly priced for what it is. I took my family here for the weekend and had a blast. We hiked on some very scenic trails, used the pool all day, and stayed in the lodge. The state staff is accommodating and friendly, professional, and speak well on the area. I highly recommend this place for a little family getaway.

Arrington Vineyards

Winery
Food & Drink
Sprawling, tranquil fields with hillside picnicking, wine by the bottle or flight, frosé & snacks.
Great facilities! The open and green areas are fantastic! The one with the trees and lighting it’s pretty amazing. The tasting are super organized and clean, all the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, the wine selection it’s solid and taste for young wines are ok. Highly recommended for a group or couples because it’s very big and open spaces with incredible views. Make sure you are prepared for walked and depend of the year must bring warm cloth
Ja D — Google review
We had an amazing visit at the Arrington winery. We booked a wine tasting with “Dr.” Todd. He was very knowledgeable and very insightful about the wines and processes. He was extremely funny and personable with our girls group. Would recommend visiting and requesting doctor Todd. The area was beautiful and well maintained. Lots to do. Make sure you bring a big blanket or lawn chairs. And depending on the season, you might even want to bring a portable fan. We were just in time to listen to live music and test out the food trucks. They even had a book truck that you could purchase a book and go out lay on a blanket or a chair or a Picnic table and enjoy the sun and read. Love, love, love, Love!!!
Michelle T — Google review
Visited the vineyard winery over Mother’s Day weekend, and although it was busy (as expected), it was still such a lovely experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, even with the crowd. The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine was both tasty and fun to explore with different flights and pairings. The staff handled the busy day well, and everything felt organized. It was a great way to celebrate the weekend, definitely worth the visit, and I’d love to return on a quieter day too!
Sara L — Google review
What a beautiful vineyard! I visited this weekend and it was more than I expected. I enjoyed the live jazz band while looking over the vineyard. The staff was amazing and helpful. I tried the wine flight of four tantalizing wines from sweet to dry. We brought a picnic basket filled with goodies and lawn chairs to enjoy our day here. I can't wait to visit again. Definitely a 10 out of 10. 🍇🍸
KoCo P — Google review
Rolling meadows, splendid sunset views, vineyards and great Wine. A great place for events, picnic with family or friends or just a simple evening taking in the place over a bottle of wine. Would suggest to choose a bright day with sunny skies and towards sunset
K M — Google review
Amazing place to come with large groups, small gatherings of friends, or a cute picnic for two. There's stunning views of the vineyards and the rolling hills that surround it. The wine flights were great and they also offer private tastings led by the staff. There's a large hillside with picnic benches scattered across for tons of seating options. There's also a wooded area with string lights all over for a more private vibe. You could spend hours here or just a quick stop for a glass wine and continue with your evening.
Dakota R — Google review
Ok views. Scenes of hiways and houses. Great staff. No cold bucket for wine to keep white wines cool. Plastic cups no wine glasses. Pulled pork nacho ok at best . No cheese very little pork. Music supposed to start at 3. It’s 3:08. Nothing. White wine average. Overall just ok.
PAL’S P — Google review
The grounds were very pretty! We especially loved the tree covered area with the wine barrels. Would have preferred the wine served in a glass instead of plastic, but that’s not a deal breaker. We got the wine flight and the peach frozé and both were very good! We were there Friday around noon and it was still very open with lots of available seating. The wildlife was also very friendly!

The village features various historic structures including a gristmill, schoolhouse, general store, doctor's office, blacksmith's shop, and more. This is a great place to visit, to step back in time. We loved the garage with the old cars and gas pumps. The whole place was great and everyone working there is so nice.

This is a beautiful tribute to Tennessee History! Admission is free and it is great for a family day trip.
Adventure Q — Google review
Cannonsburgh village is a charming little place with a lot of history to offer. One of the highlights of the village is the telephone switchboard in one of the cabins, complete with a bed for the operator to connect people to one another. It's a fascinating glimpse into how communication used to work in the past. The village also features a Grismill and offers a nice little walk through history. I also enjoyed the old tractors that are also on display in the village. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
Bryan L — Google review
Cannonsburgh is a hidden gem; a great place to visit and reflect on early years of Murfreesboro and Rutherford Co. I look forward to taking our grandchildren to visit. Very nice visitor's center and staff.
Alan W — Google review
"It was such a nice place. There weren’t many people around, and I loved being able to just breathe and sit quietly to meditate."
Silvia R — Google review
This village is well worth the trip. The site is very interesting. The grounds are well kept and clean. The folks running the place couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. Also very informative on the history of the site. Would highly recommend. They are also planning on expanding their museums by next year.
Mike C — Google review
Gotta love the random gems you find in Tennessee haha. This little town was so fun to visit. We went on a Saturday in the later afternoon and it wasn't crowded with people. We got to enjoy the village and take our time. It was fun to get to learn about and explore life in a different time. It was free too so that's a plus! Great find for a family outing.
Emily W — Google review
Greenway Arts Festival was nice. First time we had been to Cannonsburgh in years. Last time we tried to take the trail over there, there were homeless people hanging out all along the way. One group in one of the tunnels had dogs. So, that had kept me away from the village for a while. This event was nice.

Stones River National Battlefield

Mentioned on
37 lists
Park
Sights & Landmarks
Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro is a 570-acre historic park and cemetery that marks the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Visitors can explore marked trails, visit the visitor center, and take self-guided tours with maps available at the center. Free guided tours are also offered on weekends, including ranger-led walks or car caravan drives through the vast battlefield. For a unique experience, visitors can join Saturday morning bicycle tours during summer and early fall.
Pretty immersive experience. I can clearly see how the landscape would give an advantage in battle. Especially around the "Slaughter Pen" area. I expected a lot less and ended up spending almost three hours touring the multiple exhibits and using the phone guide system. There are 5 designated stops for parking and touring and multiple trails that are marked and clear. Ticks are out in abundance today but other than that this was a great little history buffer.
Michael R — Google review
Nice piece of history here. I always enjoy learning about these places and arrived as they were starting a reenactment. Nice little museum and gift shop. There is also the cemetery across the street that is quite humbling in my opinion. Check it out sometime!!
Shaun P — Google review
Nice (somewhat interactive) museum, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, there’s a short video clip to watch that explains the story of the grounds, and there are trails to explore the property. Some (walking) paths are dirt while others are (drivable) paved. I did not utilize it but there is also audio along the driven tour.
Terah L — Google review
This place has it all! You can dial on your phone and listen to a narrative of each of the areas that are clearly marked with a number and you get to hear the story of what happened at that area...... battlefields , cannons, unusually shaped stone walls within a forest where people fought and died, a visitor center with helpful workers and a gift shop. They had information on my relative who fought in that battle. There's also a large cemetery across the street of the soldiers who didn't make it through the battle.
Lisa D — Google review
Very nice visitor center and very informative attendees. Cost is free. You can drive or walk the main tour. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Chad H — Google review
What a delight! Loved this location and hope to take more visitors in the future. My child did the jr park ranger course and we learned so much. Well maintained aside from some of the exhibits not working.
Jae H — Google review
What a beautiful battlefield. When you look at the historical significance it might be hard to fathom what happened here. Thousands of men lost their lives fighting for something they believed in. The grounds are well kept and very organized. The route is drivable with parking set at the different spots. Many opportunities to explore and take pictures. Immerse yourself in Americas history

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

Mentioned on

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, located just 6 miles from downtown Nashville, is a zoological garden and historic plantation farmhouse. It features multiple habitats with a diverse range of animals and popular attractions like the Adventure 4D Theater, Soaring Eagle Zipline, and Wild Animal Carousel.
They have a lot of great exhibits, and I loved that they always had park staff around to ask where best to see the animals. I can tell the animals are very well taken care of and happy, which makes me happy because I really love animals. The food was a bit on the expensive side, but honestly that's to be expected at any zoo or amusement park. They weren't as pricey as some I've been to and I'm grateful for that. I loved seeing the vet hospital as well, where they were raising a pair of snow leopard kittens on the day that I visited. Their animal hospital is worthy of any of the finest human hospitals, and I really liked seeing the surgical room through the observation window. The only feedback I would have is that if you're traveling with someone who has disabilities, then I wouldn't go on a rainy day. Their electric scooters are not usable when it rains. I'd like to see them get a few small golf carts or similar for days when it rains. It would have really helped my mom a lot, and she wouldn't let me push her in a wheelchair because of my own back problems. Although I would have happily done it. She was in a lot of pain by the end of the day, and couldn't enjoy everything she wanted to because of her limited ability to walk at this time.
Chasity P — Google review
This zoo is great!! Very clean and natural looking. I love the beautiful trees and geometric shaped animal statues throughout the paths. The animals looked to be in good health and were easy to see. My only complaint would be I wish they didn’t serve alcohol inside since there are so many kids that go. That is just my personal preference though. On a Saturday, the zoo was busy but was still very enjoyable. My 2 year old had a blast.
Madison P — Google review
I went to the Zoolumination it was truly beautiful. Everything was stunning the lights, the colors, and all the decorations were amazing. The whole experience felt magical and was perfect for taking photos. It was very well organized, relaxing, and enjoyable from beginning to end. I definitely recommend it for families, couples, or friends. I would absolutely go again. (DO NOT BUY PARKING ONLINE! THE WEBSITE HAS A $10 FOR PARKING, BUT PARKING IS FREE. IF YOU BUY IT IN ADVANCE, YOU WILL FIND OUT WHEN YOU ARRIVE THAT PARKING IS FREE.)
Jenniffer N — Google review
Well worth the membership for the family. Such great landscaping and beautiful exhibits for the animals. Plenty of shade, restrooms and areas to sit and play (for the little ones). Friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout the zoo. Also, they have the COOLEST playground here!!
Natalia K — Google review
pricey, don't think they should charge for parking, or at least lower the cost a bit. zoo was nice. it's very well organized, very clean and displayed beautifully. The staff was very nice and helpful when needed. I did not see any elephants though and I think there should be a few extra animals on site but other than that it was a great day and a nice place to visit. Highly recommend!
Lori W — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We spent the day at zoo for Veterans Day! The park is clean, easy to walk through, and full of great exhibits. Our favorites were seeing the Sumatran Tigers, the flamingos, and walking right alongside and feeding the kangaroos. Such a fun experience for the kids. The Soaring Eagle Zip Line was also a great little thrill and worth the ride! We enjoyed how friendly the staff were and how well-kept the animal areas looked. The lemurs, rhinoceros, and Komodo dragon were other highlights we won’t forget. My only small suggestion, since it’s winter, would be for the zoo to sell disposable hand warmers you find at Walmart at the entrance. I know hand warmers wouldn’t be a big money-maker for the zoo like the pricier mittens in the gift shop, but they’d mean a lot to families, especially on those cold winter days. Overall, an incredible experience and a must-visit spot in Nashville! 🦘🦩🐅
Mari A — Google review
It’s a huge zoo. We just happened to be near here so we thought we would check it out. I really liked that the enclosures were bigger than the other zoos I have visited. Everything was kept up with and clean (as clean as it could be given the huge crowd). There was also the original house that was on the property you must check out if you visit. There was also a kind of zip line like ride that the guys went on that was pretty cool too. It was just a great place for us to spend the day. It was fun to explore here.

Great zoo with a TON to see. They were in between a few events, so we saw Halloween, Illumination AND Christmas displays around the grounds. The eastern half had more dead-ends where you had to back track versus being connected to the next exhibit. I’d definitely recommend 3-4 hours to see most of the grounds. The amount of Halloween decorations was phenomenal compared to other zoos we’ve seen at Halloween time. The kangaroo exhibit was neat that you could walk so close to them.

Cedars of Lebanon State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
900-acre park featuring rock gardens & rare plants, plus 8 miles of trails for hiking & riding.
This park is absolutely beautiful. We stayed a few days to rest, as we're moving cross country from Virginia to Alaska. They accommodated not only our 5th wheel but our enclosed trailer. They're pet friendly too. Showers were immaculate. They don't have sewer.. They DO have dump stations for campers. ❤️ You won't be disappointed with this state park.

It was our first time camping here and we loved it! Campsites were clean and large. Staff members were friendly and helpful. There were also several trails that we went on that were full of adventure. We will definitely be camping here again in the future!

My kids and I enjoyed the paved .6 mile hike, Cave Creek trail, the Nature Center and the playground close by. The Nature Center did a snake event that was so fun and my kids even got to hold a large snake! The only negative I will mention is that I could not find a baby changing table.

I can't rate rooms. We camped, or rather we parked out motorhome there. The lot we had was "back in", and they have water, 35/50 amp service, but no sewer at the sites. But they have great rates and we are enjoying our stay.

Love going here, was disappointed that the host had to remove his halloween maze. We were excited had watched him getting this together on several trips. Went halloween night and it was taken down. My grandson was so disappointed. I heard a guest complained. That seem crazy since it was posted that the campground celebrated halloween with the community. Still love camping here but disappointed we missed the host kindness doing something cool for the kids.

It's a great trail! Although my daughter's couldn't go all the way, it was beautiful. Tons of shade from the trees. Beautiful open areas to sit and take a break. Every person we passed on the trail were super friendly as well. We got to see a ton of horses also walking the trail. I can't wait to go back and do the whole thing, without my kids of course lol.

Park it's self is amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful. But keep an eye on the park ranger's around your kids and property never know what bs they are up to. Lied to, manipulated, and treated like shit. I do plan on reaching out to the head of Park Rangers to file a complaint because I've been told by 2 police officers and a State Trooper that what he did was illegal and NO Park ranger's can't do what he did!

Specialty Museums
The Johnny Cash Museum, located in the bustling South of Broadway neighborhood, is a captivating tribute to the legendary musician. Showcasing an extensive collection of personal memorabilia and artifacts, including stage costumes, handwritten lyrics, awards, and even his birth certificate, this museum offers a comprehensive look into Cash's life and career. Unlike other celebrity museums, this establishment is officially affiliated with Cash's family members and has been recognized as the Best Music Museum in the Country by USA Today.
A must see stop in downtown Nashville! Absolutely loved the Johnny Cash Museum. it’s small but packed with amazing history, energy and emotion. You can walk through his entire journey from early posters and guitars to walls full of records and albums. Seeing his guitars, tour photos, and all those vintage vinyls was incredible! Photos are allowed which makes the experience even better. There’s so much to capture! The gift shop is really cute too with great souvenirs and Johnny Cash merch that’s hard to find anywhere else. The vibe is pure Nashville friendly staff, great layout and plenty of photo moments if you’re a music or history lover. The museum really makes you feel the power and legacy of “The Man in Black.” Totally worth it, whether you’re a casual fan or a hardcore music traveler like me.
Lior M — Google review
Content of the museum & gift shop was all good. Not too big, yet enjoyable. The only thing I think could be improved is the lighting, or a better and more strategically arranging of the pieces, since although taking photos is allowed, most of the things are behind glass and indirect lighting is very reflective.

We had a great experience at the Johnny Cash Museum. The collection and content of the museum was good with a lot of history. My husband and I are both fans we learned so many new things about Johnny Cash’s history. Our only complaint is the museum is small and I’d wish you could choose times to enter so you’re able to move around better, read and not keep bumbling into each other.

A gleaming jewel in Nashville, TN. Just off Broadway, the Johnny Cash Museum is worth the $30 ticket price. A tremendous amount of memorabilia from early writing, personal artwork, letters from throughout his life, clothing (of Johnny's and June's) worn throughout his prolific career, musical instruments, letters from those he collaborated with, and a moving journey in vivid pictures, as well as stirring movies of performances with outstanding sound quality. The museum takes you from his birth as John (J.R.) Cash, school days and Arkansas childhood, through adolescence and into military service, then to his first marriage and start of his musical career. Documents highlight his persistence and string of early hits through the 1950s, then his divorce, respite, and marriage to June Carter in the 1960s which reignited his career and deep faith. Highlights from Johnny's entire career are represented through his enduring work in music, TV and film in the 1970s and '80s, and including his final recordings through the collaboration with American Recordings the year before he left this earth. Moving videos, music and pictures throughout! The museum features numerous recordings of memorable songs over speakers and available on headphones throughout the tour. Remarkable country, Christian, and patriotic music from Johnny in his phases and stages over half a century. This Man in Black was such an American treasure and this museum features a presentation of records, awards, artwork, photos, letters, clothing, and the sweet music from a man who sang about truth, people, and this country he loved. Superb experience and worth the money. I recommend at least 90 minutes if you want to appreciate it, and longer if you care to read more of the signs & enjoy more of the songs and videos. Finally, the museum ends in the giftshop where you began which has a few shirts, mugs and touristy items, but also rare, expensive, signed merchandise for sale that is quite unique and cool to see!

he Johnny Cash Museum is one of the best stops in Nashville. It honors the legendary country artist whose deep voice and powerful music made a lasting impact. The exhibits highlight his support for minorities, his career, and even his daughter Rosanne’s music. A must-visit.

My first time at the Johnny Cash Museum and it will not be the last! It was so much fun and we thoroughly enjoyed learning so much more than we already knew about Johnny Cash and his life and his philanthropy. Everything is put together perfectly and they are working on adding more on the second floor soon.
Ramona C — Google review
I'm sad to say, my expectations for the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville crashed and burned down faster than a ring of fire! I bought tickets online because every site said that would let us skip the line but when we arrived, the line was still long, stuffy, and full of people packed close together. Once inside, the memorabilia was cool, but really, that’s just because Johnny Cash himself was so cool. The museum should have done him more justice, but it really lacked life and, most importantly... MUSIC!That’s when it hit us! The one thing missing from the Johnny Cash Museum was Johnny’s sound!!! My sister, a lifelong Johnny Cash fan, quietly pulled out her phone and started playing Ring of Fire. Instantly, the whole place changed! People walking by started tapping their fingers, smiling, and moving differently. It brought energy and soul to what had felt like a stale atmosphere. I get that each display has headphones and video stations, but not everyone wants to stand and wait for those. A little background music would have gone a long way! Especially being a self guided tour. They clearly love Johnny, but it felt more like a library than a tribute to one of the greatest musical legends of all time. At least for a few minutes, thanks to Ring of Fire and my soulful sister, the Man in Black’s spirit came back to life!
How L — Google review
Small venue, but really worth the trip. I loved seeing the guitars, outfits, memorabilia, posters, etc. The videos are awesome too. Beautiful tribute to him and June. Johnny Cash is one of the Greats that we have lost in country music.

Concerts & Shows
Nashville, also known as the capital of country music, is a vibrant city with a rich history and diverse entertainment scene. Visitors can explore various historical sites such as Fort Nashborough, Fort Negley, the Parthenon, Tennessee State Museum, and the Hermitage. The city offers sophisticated dining options and a lively atmosphere for all interests. One of its main attractions is the Grand Ole Opry, where both classic and contemporary country acts perform in weekly live radio shows.
An Unforgettable Night at the Grand Ole Opry Visiting the Grand Ole Opry is like stepping into the heart of American music history. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the energy and legacy of the countless artists who’ve graced its stage. The show itself is a perfect blend of legendary performers and rising stars, all sharing the spotlight in a format that’s both intimate and electric. The sound quality is excellent, the production is seamless, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming—whether you're a lifelong country fan or just curious to experience something uniquely Nashville. The venue is beautifully maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s well worth booking tickets in advance, especially if you want good seats or plan to take a backstage tour. If you're in Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry is a must-see. It’s not just a show—it’s a piece of living history, and it leaves you with a deep appreciation for the music and the artists who make it. The Kody Norris Show, were amazing, we hadn’t really appreciated what Blue grass music was until this high energy band got on stage. The Auctioneer track was just brilliant and is the stand out memory of our US trip.

We were there for a NextGen conference. I'm not a "fan" of country music. That said, it was pretty awesome to be seated in a place with such history. 100 years this month! So many names of so many great entertainers. The show was good. If this is your thing, I assure you, you'll enjoy it! The staff were friendly, the venue was clean.

A must see when in Nashville… the history of the building is incredible.. and when you combine the artists that play there regularly you have a winning combination. Suggest buying a parking pass and get your tickets online as the shows are well attended. The back stage tour is worth it for the hard core fans looking for a deep dive. The dressing rooms and memorabilia is very cool to see.

This Boston Crew had a super fun time at the Grand Ole Opry this Saturday night. We stood in the historic cirlce. A time capsule of history and music talent you need to expirence for yourself. It's currently all decked out for the holidays. Awesome entertainment and photo ops. Some of the entertainment was Don Schlitz, Tiger Lily and the Opry square dancers and lets not forget the amazing Opry band! We took the back stage tour which gives you so much more perspective and totally worth it. Shout out to Lorrie our tourguide. My longtime high-school besties and I also known as the pumpkin patch posse "picked" Laurie. We designed special guitar picks in advance of our trip. Posting our group selfie here in hopes our Lorrie our guide will see it. 😊 Highly recommend paying a vist to the Grand Ole Opry!

What a surreal experience getting to finally visit this beautiful piece of musical history. Having heard about this place thousands of time growing up in a country music loving family, loved getting to see it in real life. Awesome! Maybe one day I will perform here. ❤️

Wonderful venue. So much history. We have done the backstage tour which i highly recommend. This visit we did a show celebrating The Opry 100th year anniversary. It was incredible. We saw legends like Connie Smith and Junior Brown, the iconic Carrie Underwood, and rising star Preston Cooper. I was hoping Dolly Parton would show up. She was there 2 weeks after we were.
Wendy S — Google review
A highly recommended once in a lifetime experience. It’s worth paying the extra money for VIP treatment since you get to go backstage and actually sit on the stage for a few songs. Everyone was friendly and I had a great day.

This was my first time visiting Nashville, and I’m so glad I ended my trip with a visit to the Grand Ole Opry. I’m not usually a country music listener, so I walked in expecting a fun experience but nothing too life-changing. Instead, the show completely blew me away. The performers were incredible, the energy in the room felt electric, and the whole night was this surprising mix of heart, humor, and pure talent. The Opry has a way of pulling you in even if the genre isn’t normally your thing. You can feel the history in the space, but the show itself feels alive and full of joy. It was the perfect finale to my time in Nashville, and honestly one of the highlights of my entire trip. Five stars without question.

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is an upscale resort located near the iconic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. The resort features a stunning glass atrium, indoor gardens, and pools, as well as a spa and various dining options. It's situated close to the vibrant downtown area with its lively District, offering shops, restaurants, music landmarks, and honky tonk bars. Additionally, the nearby Gulch neighborhood is known for its trendy bars and upscale restaurants.
First time here and it was just beautiful!!! The room is very spacious... Housekeeping came in everyday for service which is awesome a lot of the other hotels that I have been to have gone down on servicing the rooms only do it if ask or so many days... Very clean place... I love all of views from at the resort you could just walk around and enjoy the views and don't really have to leave the resort ... Would love to come back when all of the Christmas decorating is done I could already feel the magic... Everyone was sooo nice and informative from the front desk to the bell boys we had... Very good customer service My only complaint was the restaurants within the center... Jack Daniels we walked out twice bc we just waited to long to be waited on at the bar.. and the pizza place I thought was too expensive for what tasted like frozen pizza...

One of the most unique hotels I've ever been to. The three atriums have me in awe. It's like the whole hotel had its own indoor ecosystem. It is so beautiful! It looks like Kauai. The water features mixed with the plants and bridges and walkways are so artfully put together. There isn't a corner that wasn't thought about. I enjoyed eating at the Jack Daniels restaurant as well as the Cascades breakfast buffet. They had omelets and pancakes made to order. Wonderful variety, including chocolate gravy! The Bravo gelato made in Nashville was also delicious. My son got the banana pudding flavor and it was such a taste of Tennessee. The bed was so very comfortable and it was very quiet, even with a window facing the biggest atrium. It was fun to watch the boat go by.

Let me start by saying this place is beautiful. Went for Christmas and ice. Even though nobody in my family likes Charlie brown or any of the peanuts. We actually can not stand Charlie brown to be honest. Anyway we went a couple of years ago when they had polar express and absolutely loved it. I love the atmosphere of the hotel with the 3 atriums. They make this place beautiful. However for as much as you pay to stay the rooms are really not that great in my personal opinion. The design of the room we stayed in was actually strange because the tv was sitting where you could not see it because of a wall blocking part of the view due to the design. Went to a couple of shops and restaurants. Extremely disappointed I dont see how they can even charge as much as the do $5 for a Pepsi fountain or bottle that is absolutely absurd. Cinnabon did not ha e strawberry lemonade and pizza restaurant did not have Pepsi machine working. The hamburger place had Pepsi but one machine worked and the other did not. It's really frustrating to spend over a $1000 just to stay 2 nights and can't get simple things like this.the bakery we stopped at oi get something we looked in the displays and it was full of nats. This was absolutely disgusting. Asked for a room with balcony looking at a water fall got one to the back of a water fall that we could bot see anything. Door to the room was hard to shut had to force shut to make sure it was shut. Staff was not extremely friendly. Love the boat ride love the light displays. I would definitely go back. The parking lot was completely confusing trying to leave. I just would expect more with paying that much. It would have been perfect the way it was if it would have been about half $500. Then oli would have given 5 stars.

I stayed here for a conference. I arrived rather late and check in was very easy. The room was very large and had two queen beds and an en-suite. Convention food was delicious and had a range of vegetarian options too. The interior of the center contains a lot of foliage and water/waterfalls. Since I arrived at the beginning of the holiday season it was already beautifully decorated with lights and trees. This was absolutely the best American hotel I’ve stayed at.
Vladimir Z — Google review
I came here for a large industry convention. The hotel itself is really quite amazing. The entire interior is fun, huge and worth exploring. There are loads of guests here most of the time, and they can be a little loud at night. However the entire stay was very good. The wifi is decent for a hotel (I stayed in the G rooms) and got ~20mbps up and down with decent ping (~30ms) the rooms themselves aren't super modern but they are adequate. Cons: The pricing for drinks/food/snacks has a very large markup, so expect to pay $5 for a 20oz soda, $28 for a burger, ect. The burger was average at best. I also killed a fairly large roach in my room. However this is Tennessee and it's near impossible to eliminate all roaches. I never once got the feeling that the hotel is dirty or infested. It's quite the opposite. Some of the elevators are well worn and dinged up but work fine. Overall it was a pleasant stay, but I feel as if certain areas are getting close to needing refurbished or refreshed. I would recommend a stay here. It's not just a hotel, its a resort with it's own attractions.
Juan C — Google review
If you want to eat at a restaurant it is imperative to make a reservation. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. It smells so clean and fresh inside. There is a really neat feature inside where there are river boats to ride through the hotel in the garden area. It is so overwhelmingly beautiful and romantic. I would say this place is best for adults, and couples. It is so romantic. The pools may be kid friendly, but we never ventured to swim. There is an app to help you find where you need to go. It didn’t take long to download. It is the type of app that can find you where you are, and gives you detailed walking directions from where you are.
Emily E — Google review
I was here for a work conference. Yes, it's true the atrium area is impressive to look at. The rooms are not what I would expect for the cost of this resort. I had a "basic" room which even at the event rate was $300 a night, but the quality and amenities of the room were more what I would expect to get for half that cost or less. Even Super 8 has microwaves in the room - but not my room at the Gaylord Opryland! Everything was expensive - parking and food were way more than I would spend it if this was on my own dime. So, come and see the hotel for its magnificence, but don't bother staying here.
Sarah B — Google review
Warning, long post ahead. This is my favorite hotel in the world. This makes the third year in a row I have stayed here for my birthday. Everything about it is wonderful, from the rooms, to the restaurants, to the staff. We love walking the paths at night after dinner. This time of year, we love visiting the giant Christmas tree and watching a peaceful night time showing of the water show. The bartenders are always kind and accommodating and the food is always delicious. There's almost always live music somewhere on property to enjoy. This place offers a vacation where you never even have to leave the building if you don't want to. Now, the reason I'm really writing this review: This year, we were having some trouble with the reservations for one of our rooms. To be honest, I was freaking out. Carlos, the night audit manager, was so patient and kind and took the time to work out the situation for us. Because of Carlos, I was able to spend my birthday with my mom and my "other mother", both of whom I only see about once per year, and we were able to make it to my bridal appointment in the morning. Thank you, Carlos! Because of you, I got to "say yes to the dress." So many amazing memories were made. I am SO THANKFUL for him and I hope to be back to celebrate again next year. My mom has already started planning her next stay here as well. She was in awe of the property. I will always recommend this place, and would give it an 11/10 if I could.

Located just outside of Nashville in Hermitage, Tennessee, Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage is the former home and resting place of the seventh U.S. President. The beautiful whitewashed mansion offers a glimpse into Jackson's life through exhibits and tours, showcasing original family belongings and furniture. Visitors can learn about his military successes, controversial presidency, and life on the plantation where he enslaved over 95 people.
Really great place to visit while you're in Nashville. So much history in this town. It's unbelievable. The Andrew Jackson house was something else and seen all of the artifacts that he himself used or that they were still from that time. Era is just crazy to think. There's wallpaper on the wall that's over 200 years old. They're still original flooring inside the home as well. The grounds are massive and there's so much to visit outside of the Mansion. The guides were knowledgeable and did a great job. If you're into history in doing things like that, I would definitely book your visit. Well worth money.

The grounds are beautiful. The walking audio tour is great since it gives you the ability to go at your own pace. There is plenty of benches along the way so you can rest if needed. The guided mansion tour was nice the mansion is beautiful no pictures are allowed inside though. The museum is big and full of information and artifacts. All of the staff was super nice and offered to take pictures.

Had some time before our flight so we took advantage and visited Hermitage. Grounds are fabulous what you imagine a large southern estate to be. The mansion is modest and functional. Seeing Jackson tomb was impressive and reflective. Highly recommend a visit and take the time to learn about history and see it visually. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time for a tour inside the mansion or a visit through the museum.

This is a really cool historical site to visit. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The house is a gem that’s been beautifully preserved, with many of the original furnishings and even wallpaper still intact. There’s a wagon ride that we didn’t see mentioned in the material, so keep an eye out for it and its schedule at the back of the mansion. They also have slave cabins and a section dedicated to the history of slavery.

Great historic place, bummer the rooms are blocked off and you are only allowed a view in and no photography. Some places were closed do to construction. Large grounds recommend comfortable shoes. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Worth the trip would be nice to have a lower weekday rate.

President Andrew jackson lived here for twenty years of his life. His descendants lived here for another forty years. it is fascinating to see the home of a former president. The excess and the luxury are quite breathtaking to behold. Despite his prestige it is a sobering reminder that he did not have many of the luxuries that we take for granted today. Refrigeration, running water, bathrooms and more. Also was fascinating to hear about his collection of slaves. A list was presented of their names, their families, and their job titles. after emancipation , it was cool to know that some of them stayed on the property to work for money. Photos are not allowed inside. My photos include a view of the front from the outside, a panoramic view of one of the exhibit rooms, a poster of an early painting of him, and a photo of his and his wife's actual graves. Go and learn not only about the man but also about your own country!
Dave F — Google review
It is a wonderful experience to learn about the history of not only this president but slavery in America and America in governance itself. I learned so much in their self-guided tour after visiting the mansion and the Western frontier of America in the early 19th century. I really believe that school groups should go and study this mansion and the history behind it. I should note the tour guides are exceptional, especially Steve who took the time to show me and my mom apart of the mansion's history that I couldn't find.

Former Native American hunting ground now features a lake, campsites & 6+ miles of hiking trails.
Amazing park, campground, and staff! It is always a great time at Bledsoe. We love to camp there and walk the great trails through the woods. They have great spots to fish the lake, including a dock. They often have activities going on, so if you are camping, be sure to check out what events are going on. The staff in the visitors center and gift shop were great. The Ranger, I want to say Amber?, was super friendly and helpful. They will even bring wood to your campsite! Be sure to check out Bledsoe Creek and keep our parks beautiful and funded!

Very nice visitors center and staff! Welcoming, dog friendly, clean, hospitable! Trails are well maintained and marked. Be aware there are 70-80 stairs on the trail so you may want to do the Connector Trail, to the High Ridge Trail, to the Shoreline Trail, and go DOWN the stairs rather than up. Lots of wildlife and pretty scenery, with many well-placed benches to enjoy the views. For those who follow the BARK Ranger program, tags available for purchase (always happy to support our parks). Very enjoyable visit!

I have come upon a new place of attraction located in our neck of the woods. The park provides camping spots all throughout. And the hiking trails are great for exercise. The water sports access is great for boating enthusiasts .

We LOVED this park! The Park Rangers definitely drive through often to make sure everyone is good. They wave and say hello, they also stopped by after we checked in and asked if everything was good. The campsite was very clean when we arrived and after going out for the day we came back and our firepit and grill was completely cleaned. All the ash from the charcoal was all cleaned out for our next BBQ and campfire. We saw so many deer too, even a baby nursing from the mama deer which is rare to see. The bathrooms were really clean along with the showers They have a cool path you can walk that's flat by the entrance and trails that are in the woods too. They even have kayak Tours with clear bottom boats there and the night tour has lights that light up the boat. It looked really cool. The views on the lake were amazing too! Will definitely stay again!

The staff was very friendly. The hiking trails were clean and orderly. A great place to go on a 3 mile hike through the shaded woods and along the lake shore. Not very crowded. I wish people would not wear cologne when they are out hiking. It’s just weird to smell when you’re in the middle of nature 🙄

The acoustics in the hall were fantastic, and despite having a heart attack and a stroke in 2023, he played for 1:45. His voice was strong, and he looked and sounded great. He told stories and connected with the audience. We saw him at the Opry several years ago, and I always seemed to miss him touring. ( I am the concert booker)After we came out of the show we both decided that this was not the last time we would see him. I can't encourage you enough to go see him in person. He has enough songs to do a show with all original material, but he works covers into his set and makes them his own. During Six Pack Summer they pulled out the old Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs song Stay. They sounded fantastic and I must confess that I wondered if his backup singer had used vice grips on certain parts of his anatomy to hit those high notes. Go see Phil Vasser if he is within driving distance. In a world of auto-tuned music and getting a song writing credit for one word offered, he is the real deal. Phil Vasser is a vocalist ( singer ) musician ( piano player ) but most of all he is an ENTERTAINER!

Bring your slot strategies and have some fun at this casino just outside of Tennessee. This spacious facility has slot from the penny slots all the way up to high roller machines. There is both smoking and non smoking gaming areas, a couple of restaurants, and a bar. Looks like there is some construction going on which means expansion. There is a hotel next door which gives the option to take a few days to play. Restrooms were very clean which is a plus.

This establishment is rigged. I’ve been to both locations in bowling green, KY and Franklin, KY, and I lost about 6 hundreds total, I got about 6 or 7 bonus and maximum win from the bonus ($50) and Most of wins from the bonus are less than 15 dollars. Didnt care much about the loss because I was there to have fun. For the service, I was there for hours only able to get 1 drink (lemonade).. service is non existent lmao. Good amount of people though, sad this is the only casinos they got here or close to Nashville.

I love everything about the casino and sports betting area but ..... You can't get a drink ever unless your sitting at the bar . Very few taking drink requests on the floor. If you don't drink alcohol and prefer water/soda or coffee you are completely out of luck. We would have to stand where they come out with drinks and ask. Every single time ! Super annoying and we will be patronizing at the competition at the Oak Grove Casino. Put in a self serve drink station or lose lots of business.

Everyone is always nice and helpful.. only thing I dont like is that they have free drinks but u usually have to track someone down to get one and then if u eat there they want you to pay for a drink. Every other casino hace fountain drinks available 24/7 even with your food. Other than that no complaints

Is always a good place to go when I don’t have nothing else to do is late night and I’m I got a little extra money to spend to try to make a little bit more. Try to triple it I always come here. Have a good time I meet great people And I like the different variety of games that they have racing games and it’s always gonna be a 10 out of 10 for me I’ll be trying to bring my friends so I can get me a little free play and yeah I love it

Grounds are beautiful. Facilities are very appealing and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were no horses running when we went but the machines were easily accessible. The bartender was very skilled and practiced. Alcoholic drinks are not free but water is. There was a cafe open for food. We broke even and considered it a few hours well spent, entertainment cost wise. Also worth mentioning they do allow smoking inside but their ventilation system is so well done you can't even see smoke in the air. And the smell in the air is faint. We vaped in there without issue. The hotel attached had free EV charging, which we happily took advantage of. Left with more charge than we came with.

Lost River Cave is a captivating limestone cave complex that offers subterranean boat tours, taking visitors on a journey through its mysterious underground watercourse. The cave is adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, and calcite draperies, creating a cosmic masterpiece sculpted over time. The 70-acre urban park also features wooded trails, rivers, blue holes, sinking streams, and a restored prairie.
First of all, and I cannot emphasize this enough, this is a non-profit cave! I was very worried that this was going to end up being one of those overhyped and under delivered commercial kind of caves because I've been to a lot of them. But that fear was completely unfounded! This cave is the opposite, it is completely under hyped! The entire tour is conducted from the boat. And I'm sure there's probably some variability based on your tour guide, our tour guide was Sophie and she was awesome, but regardless anyone would have a good time here. Where else are you going to get to go underground and float down a river in a boat! On top of that it was just naturally very beautiful. And I've been to a lot of caves but this was totally unique. I would definitely highly recommend everyone to visit.

This was a great tour. Hopefully you will get tour guide Sophie, as she is phenomenal and so entertaining. There was a lot of history provided. The tour is short, too short, but we'll worth doing at least once. Id suggest planning when the butterfly exhibit is open. There is also a beautiful trail to get in a little exercise.

We had a great time at Lost River Cave and definitely give it 5 stars! The price was very reasonable — just $24.99 for an adult ticket — and well worth it for the experience. The tour starts with a 15–20 minute walk to the cave entrance, guided by someone who shared interesting local history and fun facts along the way. Then we boarded a boat and went into the cave itself, which was such a cool and unique experience! The guide continued sharing stories and history during the ride, making it both fun and educational. After the cave tour, we explored the trails, visited the butterfly garden, and saw three of the natural blue holes on the property — all beautiful and peaceful spots. We ended our visit at the gift shop, which had a great selection and surprisingly reasonable prices. This was such a fun and different stop — perfect for all ages. Highly recommend if you’re in the Bowling Green area! Thankfully, we had purchased our tickets in advance. There was a man at the counter asking for same day, walk-up tickets and they were out, so I do highly recommend purchasing your tickets before arriving and arriving at least 30 minutes before so that you can check in and walk down to the area for the tour to begin.

The Lost River Cave tour was a fun and interesting stop on our trip. It’s definitely geared toward tourists, and while we enjoyed it, it’s more of a one-time experience—I likely wouldn’t return if we visited the area again. Our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and shared great insights about the cave’s history and unique features. The surrounding nature area was also enjoyable to explore, and we especially loved the children’s nature scape—it was a hit! Overall, it’s a fun stop if you're nearby, but not necessarily a must-see attraction in the area.

Great trail and great scenery. I loved the cave and the river flowing through the cave, such a beauty to capture. We we got there, the river was flooded therefore we couldn't do boating. Regardless, I enjoyed, natural trails, butterfly habitat and other landscape. Our guide did good job in explaining throughout the trip.

Our guide OLIVIA was knowledgeable, fun and made the experience the best memory of our trip (so far). Make sure to sit on a bench on the trail and take in the sights and smells. The gift shop was worth a visit. L HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Attention spelunkers: Family friendly, interesting history, clean visitor center / gift shop, cave tour itself didn't take too long. Our guide, Sophie, kept us informed and entertained plus drove the boat the whole time. (Good job ma'am!) Worth a visit.

The National Corvette Museum, situated in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is a captivating indoor museum that showcases the rich history of the Chevrolet Corvette. With over 70 different car models on display along with an array of memorabilia and more, it offers visitors an immersive experience into the evolution of this iconic American sports car. The museum underwent a significant expansion in 2009, adding 47,000 square feet to its space.
Took a guided tour and it was great! Learned lots of little secrets about some of the cars. Loved looking at all the cars especially the old ones. Nice tour, I recommend take it. It was only 1 hour and you have plenty of time to explore the museum. You get to see one of the cars that fell in the sink hole.
Roxie T — Google review
My bf is a car guy and loved it, I know nothing about cars and also loved it! We drove his corvette so he could drive on the race track. - I LOVED the sinkhole information. You can even look down into the sinkhole, and see a car all crumpled from the sinkhole. We visited mammoth cave national park on this trip, so learning about the cave region really brought it full circle. - well put together museum, it appeals to everyone. I loved the history and seeing the body changes of each generation. Fun to see the paint choices and how they choose interior/ exterior color schemes. I also enjoyed learning about the clay models and wind tunnel testing for aerodynamics. - we played on the racing simulators, fun and challenging! It’s like a vamped up arcade game with full size cars. - I was disappointed that the assembly plant was closed for tours. Still awesome museum visit though! - I collect patches and found patches in the gift shop.

We had a private group tour which far exceeded my expectations. Then we had dinner which rivaled a 5 star restaurant. Everything was so good. The simulators were exceptional, feeling like you were on a real track. Thank you for the amazing experience.

Great place, displays are well done. Wish I would have taken a guided tour to learn more. Plenty of videos and plaques to read. Clean bathrooms and a nice Diner. There is a sampling of eight cars in the lobby you can see without paying before the cashier line. A Corvette library with records open weekdays only. Went through in about an hour and 45 minutes. Would spend longer watching videos in the future. I imagine the reason there aren't more variety of different vintages is that enthusiast are keeping and driving their Vettes. Gift shop has a great item, managed to escape with only a sticker. To the ladies, this place is husband/boyfriend safe. There are no Corvettes for sale or financing available.

Great experience picking up a new 2026 ZR1 Corvette at the Museum this week. Mack who oversees the PDI process probably spent an hour with us going over in detail the process his team goes through to get such special cars ready for delivery. Chris also took a lot of time with us the day prior to our appointment. Great folks everywhere at the Museum. Finally, Shane kept in constant contact with us for several weeks prior to delivery to ensure everything went off without a hitch.

All enthusiasts should visit this place. The museum highlights many of the great Corvettes produced by GM . Classics like the 1963 split window coupe as well as videos of the production of the new C8. The museum has a gift shop with corvette centered merchandise. There is also a place to grab a snack…
Roger C — Google review
The Corvette museum was one of the coolest places I've been in my life. I saw some awesome cars from all generations of Corvettes, and I mean awesome in its purest sense--awe inspiring or inspiring great admiration. I met some great people. Some of them were there because they loved Corvettes. Some were there because they loved racing and recognized the Corvette's significance in that, but we were all there--together. All said, it reinforced, in my mind, the importance of teamwork, ingenuity, and the great American spirit to keep "creating rockets". It also reminded me of the incredibly great things Americans are capable of when they tirelessly and truly work together. The staff at the museum are second to none. As a Corvette owner, I've never felt more at home. I found that I was frequently reminding myself that while it was my first trip here, it was my Vette's second trip. If you like fast cars and/or Americana, the Corvette museum is must see.

Water & Amusement Parks
Beech Bend is a popular destination in Bowling Green, Kentucky, offering a range of activities for visitors. The amusement park features a race track, campgrounds, go-karts, and roller coasters that cater to thrill-seekers and families alike. Additionally, Lost River Cave provides an urban 70-acre park with natural attractions like caves, wooded trails, and rivers as well as man-made features such as butterfly habitats and event venues.
Beech bend is a great place to watch some racing, attend a car show, or anything automotive related. I have never been to the park portion as that is not my thing but the racetrack is top tier. Yes, the seats are wood and the stands are "old" but they are well maintained and give a great retro racing vibe. Prices feel very reasonable depending on the event and I have never left disappointed. Sometimes it can be hard to find staff while at an event due to the size of the property but usually it is very easy to figure out where you need to go.

This is a nice getaway for the family (with two teenagers) who needs a pool to relax in. If you think you'd visit more than once, BUYING SEASON PASSES is DEFINITELY the way to go! You DEFINITELY NEED TO KNOW, Wednesdays are water park ONLY! One of my biggest issues is the price of concessions. They ARE quite proud of their food!
Mark N — Google review
Not my first visit but will definitely be my last. Its been about 7 years since we've been . We visited on a Wednesday and the crowd size was perfect, I bought tickets online becuase they are heavily discounted if you buy online. First stop is to get a locker, the first 2 kiosks didn't work wouldn't accept my payment a little frustrating but the 3rd one finally worked. The newer cluster of slides were shut down so we just hung out by the lazy river n kids area by the wave pool. There was green algae growing all over the outside of the slides and the ropes, like slime gross algae, there were some spots around the edges of the concrete in the water that also had clusters of algae. The big bucket thats supposed to fill with water and dump wasn't working and some other things that should spray water weren't working either. I like their lazy river but the palm trees that spray water there weren't working too. We went to the pool and there was white gritty stuff floating all in the water, you can see it on my bathing suit top so that felt gross. My son asked why the slides were shut down and was told it was due to green water, um nasty. They finally opened the slides back up around 3 p.m. . The lifeguards need more supervision and training. There were a total of 6 boys that came out of a slide together. The blue slide. Somehow they positioned theteselves to hang on inside and wait for their buddies, the lifeguard at the top never paid attention that nobody was coming out the bottom before they let another one go. See the pics. Another lifeguard was in the pool collecting money off the bottom acting like it was a pay day. The place was filthy, trash, water standing, algae growing. Doesn't look like they reinvested in this place in many years, definitely looks like its going down hill. Looks like there is plenty of staff but seems most are standing around and dont have much initiative to do much.

Our family visited Beech Bend for the first time, traveling from Tennessee, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The park felt very out of date and not well taken care of. A lot of the areas looked run-down, and it didn’t seem like much effort goes into keeping the park clean or inviting. The “magic show” was the biggest shock. It included a man popping a Tic Tac out of his eye, which was honestly gross and definitely not kid-appropriate. We brought our kids expecting a fun, family-friendly experience, but instead, we felt uncomfortable and let down. We won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to other families looking for a safe, clean, and fun day out.

We came the weekend of sept . 26,27 &28 for holly ford fest. We had a wonderful time except dont stop coming off the cat-walk even if your legs cramp up or for an emergency. One of the workers came over and said we were blocking a sign which stood 6ft taller than me standing up and it was as wide as a school bus, So idk how I was blocking it but I will say this even when telling her she had no remorse! Im sorry you may not like your job but hokding a chair down dont seem too hard 💁🏻‍♀️ Evidently she upset some other spectators because they were even upset with how she did. They actually were pretty furious. If you have leg issues or trouble walking long distance bring your own scooter. they rent them but its not affordable to just everyone.
Alice L — Google review
We lived the water park and Amusement rides. I wish there had been lockers in the Amusement Park instead of only in the water park. Some rides would not let me ride with my small over-the-shoulder purse and I refused to allow my purse to be left unattended. This rule NEEDS to change. The kids were frustrated over it and so was my husband. Gift shop was nice and the restaurant gave free ice water. Go cart track cost extra, which is ridiculous with the price you pay to get in. The cost depends on the height of the person, not the age.

We arrived a little early as we new the GPS guidance would be a problem, and it was, a little. As we got closer, we followed the signs which really made it easy! We had arrived early and reserved a table for lunch (amazing!) and then took the 'remarkable tour' with Alexis as the guide. Alexis was also remarkable! It really is a fascinating tour, and the property from the visitors center (more like art gallery!) to the gift shop, to the rickhouse, tasting room celler, and grounds are just stunning! Our hands down favorite place for dining, and tour! A must on everyones visit to the bourbon trail, and we are already planning the next visit here!

What fun! Our tour guide, Bailey, was so much fun! She made the tour very enjoyable! Loved hearing the history of Maker's Mark. I'm not a bourbon drinker, my husband is. We both enjoy doing distillery tours and this one was top notch! We had lunch at the restaurant before the tour. The fool was amazing! They also had a Dale Chihuly display which was fantastic!! All in all, definitely worth the time and cost!

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Taylor, went on a brisk fall day and enjoyed walking through. My favorite part was probably the fermentation room, but everything was very interesting. They currently have a Choluly Glass exhibit which added to the beauty of the grounds. Many people go for the tasting at the end, we participated, but are not really big bourbon drinkers. We went just for a fun thing to do on a Saturday in the fall. The drive from Louisville to the distillery was also quite beautiful and took us on some back back roads. I would highly recommend a visit if you’re thinking about it, whether you’re bourbon drinker or not I think you’ll have a great time!

Simply one of the best, if not The Best, distillery tours I have ever had the opportunity to see. The grounds are amazing. The people are friendly, informative, and have personalities. The tasting was fantastic. If in the area, this, in my humble opinion, is the one you must absolutely visit. But you only live once. Visit as many as you can while in town. Bardstown.

Our second time touring the property and actually the same tour, but it has been three years and this time we had Chad, who was awesome and knowledgeable. An overall great time, beautiful property, and some of my favorite whiskies made to date. Got a bit of history about the family an distillery, visited a number of sites and of course, finished it off with some great whiskey. At the end, we dunk a bottle to take home and headed over to their kitchen, which again was amazing. Food was on point, well priced as was the whiskey and a quaint location. I know the drive is a bit out there, but I promise it is worth trip.

Great tour overall, very educational but also very fun. I think everybody with even the slightest interest in liquor or bourbon would have a great time. Our guide, Laura, gave an amazing tour and really elevated the experience. She was hilarious, super knowledgeable, and made everyone feel like old friends rather than just guests. The tasting was fun and informative, helping you figure out what flavors you enjoy, and the gift shop had plenty of unique items, even if they were a bit pricey. Getting to dip our own bottle was a really fun and memorable touch and makes for a great long-lasting souvenir. Overall, it was a fantastic visit, and Laura set the bar for what every tour guide should be.

Sept. 2nd. Quite possibly the most beautiful distillery we visited in September 2025. Chet was our tour guide. I love the fact Chet gave my wife and I a great tour based on our likes and our professions. He picked up our conversations that we liked gardens and he took us straight to the beautiful Star Hill gardens and the mushroom gardens as well. It was well paced and educational. Oh, the juice was good too. Cellared 2025!!!!!

We visited in August 2025: In the heart of bourbon country, where the whispers of history dance through the trees, we found ourselves on a journey like no other at Maker's Mark. Our guide, Ethan, was nothing short of phenomenal. His deep knowledge and passion for each step of the process, from the lush landscape to the growing of mushroom, and the intricate art of distilling made every moment feel alive with history. We embarked on a private walking tour, a thoughtfully crafted experience that led us through the serene grounds, where the gentle sound of the creek accompanied our footsteps. Standing beneath the canopy of trees, we savored our first tasting, the flavors weaving stories of craftsmanship and tradition. The tour was a masterclass in attention to detail, culminating in a breathtaking stop at a scenic spot that felt like a hidden gem, perfect for our next tasting. Ethan's warmth, humor, and enthusiasm made an already memorable day even more special, and we hope he sees this review after all, I was the gal from Texas who inadvertently booked a single ticket for my husband’s birthday trip! But thanks to Ethan’d quick response, we were able to make the day perfect for my husband. As we wandered the enchanting grounds, we were captivated by the stunning Chihuly art pieces that adorned the property, each one a testament to Maker's Mark's commitment to artistry and brand identity. They understand the customer journey in a way that feels personal and inviting, ensuring that every guest feels valued. Every team member made us feel as if we had the whole place to ourselves from the moment we arrived, whether in greeting, during the tour, at the gift shop, or while enjoying a drink at the bar. The opportunity to dip our own bottle in the gift shop was a delightful touch, allowing us to take home a piece of our experience in a way that felt truly special and personal. Even during a time of shutdown, we never felt shortchanged. Instead, we experienced a slice of bourbon heritage that was both enriching and fulfilling. The stunning landscape, layered with history, invited us to linger and explore, and every interaction was infused with a warmth that deepened our appreciation for what Maker's Mark represents. And let me not forget to mention the restaurant, a must-visit! Whether you’re a local or planning a romantic date, make sure to carve out time to indulge in the culinary delights they have to offer. In the tapestry of experiences on the bourbon trail, our visit to Maker's Mark stands out as the highlight. It was more than just a tour; it was a celebration of craftsmanship, community, and the art of bourbon-making, a true masterpiece in every sense.

My dad and I were in Frankfort visiting distilleries and we came across Willett Distillery. We decided to make the quick 45 minute drive over to Bardstown. As we walked in we were promptly greeted and signed up for an available tour. Jacob and his trainee Jasmine led our tour. Jacob did an outstanding job leading the tour. We could feel that this was definitely a family business and not a corporate money trap. We really enjoyed how the tastings were provided throughout the tour instead of rushed in at the end. You could also personalize your tasting by choosing between 2-3 items at each taste. We even got to keep our tasting glass. After visiting over 15 distilleries and being on multiple tours, Willett was our favorite. I would recommend reserving your tour in advance to ensure you don’t miss out on this distillery!

We had so much fun on this tour! Mary was a great guide. Lunch was absolutely AMAZING! We were so excited when Mr. Even arrived for lunch on the patio. What a wonderful story and amazing tastes and bites. Highly recommend!

What an exceptional place in a place where it is so hard to stand out. They are so successful in not only the exceptional product they produce, but the tour was unique, with a small family-owned feel. Our tour guide Matt was incredibly friendly, with a deep knowledge and personal understanding of the process. We especially loved the tasting being throughout the tour, which led to a better appreciation of the product, rather than the 5 or 6 half ounce pours over fifteen minutes at the end of the tour. The property and buildings on the tour were beautiful and well maintained, and the area was so picturesque! Thank you Willett Distillery, you've found a customer for life!

Visiting Willett Distillery is an unforgettable experience for any bourbon lover. Tour was so fun - the grounds are beautiful and steeped in history. You can feel the family legacy in every detail—from the charming barrel houses to the artfully designed tasting room. The pours themselves are exceptional—smooth, complex, and full of character. Whether you’re a seasoned whiskey enthusiast or just curious, Willett offers a genuine, welcoming glimpse into Kentucky bourbon at its finest. Book a reservation at the restaurant in advance!

If you ever have the opportunity to do the Estate Tour at Willett Distillery, don’t hesitate—it’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Getting the chance to fill a barrel yourself is something you’ll never forget, and the access you get throughout the tour is incredible. You’ll see and taste some wild and rare stuff you’d probably never get your hands on anywhere else. Nick and Mason, the creators of the tour, were absolutely amazing—super knowledgeable, passionate, and full of energy, which made the whole experience even better. Our group even got lucky and ran into Drew in the rickhouse, which was an unforgettable highlight. The lunch afterward was fantastic as always, and a perfect way to wrap up the day. A special shoutout to Luciano, the bartender, who was awesome and made the post-tour drinks a great time. All in all, the Willett Estate Tour is something every bourbon fan should experience at least once
Alexander K — Google review
Matt was a great guide and super knowledgeable about all things whiskey and Willett. Big fan of the "progressive tasting" method and even better that you get to keep the tasting glass. I was very surprised they only had one pot still that has created all this delicious bourbon. Cute kitty laying around the factory floor. Definitely make the journey!
Clemens W — Google review
This was our first stop on the trail and I couldn’t imagine a better start. The tour gets you so close to the production - you can literally touch and taste it! Shea was an awesome tour guide, the property is amazing, and the bourbon is, of course, second to none. My only complaint is we didn’t schedule enough time to truly enjoy the patio bar!

Same as the distillery don't miss this place it was great and the staff were awesome do not close but just promote it more!!! The best Bourbon Balls and free tasting. Do not shut down the History of this place its amazing. The free bugs is a nice touch. The Bourbon Liquor was so good. Management would be crazy to stop the tours but promote it more instead would help the brand for sure. Cater to the audience at hand.

Small group, so we were able to spend a little more time and ask some more questions and get a little more info. It was cold the day of our tour so dress warm it was alot in n out and outside. The bourbon was delicious, the chocolate and bourbon cream were smooth. Worth your time.

Old Bardstown Village & Civil is a historical site in central Kentucky that offers a glimpse into the past with its collection of 10 colonial era log cabins and the nearby American Civil War Museum. The village exudes a quintessential Southern small town charm, surrounded by nearly 200 National Register of Historic Place buildings and featuring a charming circular Courthouse Square.
Worth the visit. Very informative and well kept.

What a great place, so much history! Alot of great displays with plenty of artifacts. Then you can go outside to the little village, real cabins that you can go into and check out some more history. They also have two more museums up the street but we were running out of time and were unable to check them out. But your ticket is good for 2 days, we will definitely go back to check out the rest.
Brenda B — Google review
A large, well-preserved collection of artifacts that offers both fascinating insights and educational value. An overall memorable and enriching experience.

Cool old log cabins and tons of books for sale. The woman working there was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I enjoyed the village more so then all their displays while it is informative, I think that it can be arranged were it can be more interesting to read all the information. This would be a great place for students writing a report on history.

I was impressed with the museum! Well laid out and very informative as to the different battles. Lots of weaponry and stuff. Highly recommend it. My wife/navigator/genealogy expert researched and found we both have ancestors from here.

A gem in Bardstown! The staff saw that we had arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled opening, and they opened early for us. They were extremely personable and made the experience all the more special. Visit the website for the unique displays. Plan to spend several hours or several days as the ticket can be used for 2 days. You can view the separate buildings and authentic log cabin village at your leisure while seeing the other gems in Bardstown.

Churchill Downs is a historic and iconic thoroughbred horse-racing track located in Louisville, Kentucky. It is most famous for hosting the annual Kentucky Derby, a prestigious event in the world of horse racing. The site also features a museum that offers tours to visitors year-round.
If you visit Louisville, KY and have the opportunity to visit Churchill Downs, I would highly recommend going. This time, I attended the evening racing on a Thursday and had a great experience. The crowd was smaller and temperatures were more comfortable. They had $2 beer, live music, and food trucks. Churchill Downs is a beautiful place and they keep making it better. (See the pictures I posted from an upper level at the track) I have gone to Churchill for Oaks, Derby, evening races, and wedding receptions. Check their website for events and special occasions throughout the year. You won't be disappointed!

Our group of 4 enjoyed our experience here. All the tour guides were knowledgeable and readily accepted and encouraged questions. We did the extra early morning track tour and got to see horses finishing their am work out and the track grooming begin. This was followed by an informative movie in the Great Room covered by the general admission. We had time afterwards to wander the museum displays on 2 floors. We remembered triple crown winner Secretariat and enjoyed the 2nd floor info on him including video of all 3 races. We finished our time there with the barn and backside tour which was quite interesting. There are many horses stabled here plus about 600 trainers, etc. that live above the barns or in the dorms. We saw many stables, horses, and their care givers at work.

We did the backstretch workout tour. Our guide was Ferguson who was simply great. The tour started off at the Museum at 6:45am.. if you do this tour.. it will seem like no one is around at that t, but there folks at the museum entrance who are inside.. just knock on the doors and staff will let you in. Your DSLR camera might be welcome with no flash, so be sure to ask. This tour was 2 hours and well worth it. You will get to see the horses working out, as well as the ponies that are used to walk out the thoroughbreds on race day. You will also get to see the stables and the race horses.. We were shuttled around by golf buggy so no worries about walking. You will have to pay for the museum in addition to the tour. We had a wonderful experience and got to see and learn so much about this iconic place. Reservations are required. Parking is free.. no restrooms once you start to tour but there are rest rooms in the museum prior to the start.

We're really not horse racing people or gamblers but we decided to come visit anyway because of the iconic reputation and we're so glad we came. The horses are beautiful and the facility is amazing. General admission was $10. The surrounding area is rough not what you'd expect with such a prestigious venue close by. Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times and don't feed the wild animals. Absolutely recommend visiting Churchill Downs though if you're in the area.

Go early and have the full museum tour experience! Take your kids if you have any. They have nice things to buy at their shop. Their cafe has a bar & a good variety of food. The museum is full of history, pictures, trophy, dresses, etc. My favorite part was the tour.

We visited Churchill Downs for the Survivor’s Day Races and it was an unforgettable experience. We had tickets for Millionaires Row, and everything from start to finish was exceptional. The atmosphere and views were incredible — truly a one-of-a-kind racing experience. The food and drinks were top-tier, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service was outstanding as well; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the day. There were four of us in our group, and we all had an amazing time enjoying the races, the energy of the crowd, and the overall luxury of the Millionaires Row experience. It made the day truly special and memorable. If you’re planning a visit to Churchill Downs, I highly recommend Millionaires Row for a first-class experience — we will definitely be returning!

The Kentucky Derby Museum, located at Churchill Downs, offers a captivating experience with films, interactive exhibits, and more that narrate the history of the renowned horse race. Visitors can also explore other attractions in Louisville such as the Muhammad Ali Center, Cave Hill Cemetery where Muhammad Ali and Colonel Harland Sanders are buried, the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory showcasing the iconic wooden baseball bat, and the Frazier History Museum serving as the starting point for the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
Really cool to see a little bit of the grounds outside, I never thought I'd get to see it in person. I enjoyed the museum, seeing all the history and the trophies! I wish I had gotten there earlier so I could've taken the tour but I had other things to do that day so I just enjoyed everything inside. Do yourself a favor while your in Louisville and stop by. Also the gift shop was great it had a lot of good items/designs for everything.

The museum is fantastic. I recommend taking an early tour of the track. The horses usually work out between 6-10 am. It is amazing to see the size difference between 2 year old and 3 year old. The history of the track and horses, jockeys and trainers is fun. Enjoy a mint julip or old fashioned in the cafeteria bar.

Wow so much history here. Great tour with our guide taking us around and out to the track. Lots to see with all the displays of trophies and memories of past Jockies and owners. The people who helped make Churchill Downs the best horse track ever. We had lunch in the cafe and got to see horses out back of the cafe. It was a good day spent visiting the Kentucky Derby Museum. The run for the Roses.

Great way to learn about the history of the Kentucky Derby and see a lot of memorabilia. Our tour guide was fantastic. Lots of cool displays. They did have a lot of private events going on so some areas were closed. Still, worth the trip!

We really enjoyed the museum. On display were trophies, photos videos and costumes from the rich history of the Kentucky Derby. At the time of our visit there was a special exhibition of memorabilia from arguably the greatest race horse of all time.. Secretariat. This was an added bonus that I really enjoyed.

Great museum. Even better Barn and Backside Tour. Worth the extra few dollars. Ally, our your guide, was knowledgeable extremely enthusiastic with great sense of humor. Really felt like we came away knowing much more about thoroughbred racing and the traditions of Churchhill Downs. Don't miss.

I did the Ultimate Churchill Downs Tour and it was actually pretty cool. I came into it as someone who has never watched a horse race and I left the tour wanting to come down for the Kentucky Derby. My guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell he loved sharing the stories of the derby. I would recommend this to anyone who likes learning about history and especially those who love horse racing. One thing that was good to see is they clearly take very good care of the horses at Churchill Downs.

Louisville Mega Cavern is a former limestone quarry that has been transformed into an underground adventure playground. It offers a variety of activities such as zip lining, ropes courses, tram tours, and e-bike tours. The cavern's history dates back to the 1930s when it was used as a working limestone mine and quarry. During the Cold War, it served as a fallout shelter before being repurposed into a commercial storage facility and later into a tourist attraction.
Awesome experience! I went with my mom who’s not big on informational tours but even she enjoyed it! We did the Tram Guide Tour and our tour guide was so funny and nice! She answered questions after the tour and gave us witty jokes when traveling down the caverns to keep us entertained! They had stunning lights and exhibits to see when you go deeper. It wasn’t packed today since it was during a Tuesday, so I’d suggest going during the week if you can. All staff were really nice to my mom and I, and were very helpful when it came to signing in and receiving our tickets or asking questions! 10/10 for it all and I’m so excited to come back in a million years and see it all again! (You’ll get that joke when you go on the tour)

🌟 Big thanks to Sebastian for giving us such an amazing tour at the Louisville Mega Cavern! 🌟 We had a great time learning about the history of the cavern—Sebastian was so knowledgeable and made the experience fun and engaging. 🚋✨ Although we only had time for the Mega Tram tour this trip, we saw just how much more there is to explore—zip lines, ropes courses, biking, and more. Definitely worth another visit! If you’re ever in Louisville, the Mega Cavern is a must-see. 🪨🙌

We had a blast! We only lasted an hour. The workers said no one lasts more than 2 hours. So yes there is a time limit but not really. It is actually really hot down there. We definitely did not need jackets. I was sweating like crazy by the end of it.

Had a great time with Tour Team 2 (Lizzie and Sydney). They took us through the cavern crossing 5 zip lines and two suspension bridges. Shoes are important since there are some muddy/slick spots, and since it was summer we didn't need any covering, but in the winter that'd be a different story. Favorite zip lines were the longest one (3 Football fields) and the last one where you can race another guest. Thanks for the great time, Team 2!

Mega Cavern was a fun spot to visit. There are many activities to do within the cavern. There is a ropes course, a walking tour, a tram tour and a zip line course where one of the zip lines is a long as the titanic. My family chose the tram tour and had a good time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. I recommend visiting if you are in the area.

We went ziplining and had a blast! We had four of us in our group and were paired up with a few other people plus the two tour guides. The group wasn't too big, and it was a very fun/different experience right in the heart of Louisville. Our tour guides out did themselves (Cam & Caroline for group 3 - I highly recommend these two!!) and made sure we all had a ton of fun while also being safe. The actual ziplines and bridges we took were fun! The only thing we thought would've made the experience better would've been to have music to go along with the lights they had. I will definitely do this again!
Ashley C — Google review
So much fun! Jj and Norbert are the best! Ask for them!! We did the zip line and it was our first time and they made sure we knew what to expect and felt safe the entire time! Give these 2 a raise! They deserve one!

Fantastic zip line course. There’s 5 fun zip lines and a couple of suspended bridges across. Takes about three hours to do everything. Here’s the biggest tip, wear your crappiest shoes because they will get really muddy and dirty. Austin and sarah?? were the tour guides and they were very upbeat and friendly

The zoo also offers unique wedding venues where couples can exchange vows surrounded by their favorite animals. From intimate ceremonies to larger receptions, this venue provides an unforgettable experience for couples and their guests amidst stunning wildlife habitats.
We went from open to close and managed to walk through everything only avoiding the park and splash park area (we wanted to see every exhibit). Kids had a great time. Would recommend buying tickets online. There are member discounts on things like camel ride , giraffe feeding and tight rope walk . If you frequent location I’d recommend getting membership

Great little getaway with my family! I like that you can bring in your own food and coolers. The opportunities to feed the giraffes and birds were absolutely awesome and well priced. It was $3. That's very affordable. The only complaint I had was over half of the buttons that open the doors for a wheelchair did not work, and we had a family member in a wheelchair.

The Louisville Zoo is a fantastic destination for families, animal lovers, and anyone who enjoys the outdoors. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with spacious pathways, shaded areas, and plenty of spots to rest or grab a snack. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed, giving visitors great views of the animals while still providing them with natural, comfortable habitats. Highlights include the Gorilla Forest, Glacier Run, and the Islands exhibit—all of which are engaging, educational, and fun to explore. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly dedicated to the care of the animals and the experience of the guests. The zoo also offers interactive and seasonal events that make every visit unique, from animal encounters to themed festivals. It’s easy to spend an entire day here without running out of things to see or do. The Louisville Zoo strikes a perfect balance between conservation, education, and entertainment. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s a must-see attraction that provides memories for all ages. Truly a gem in Louisville!

First time here and it was amazing! When we travel we try new zoos and wildlife sanctuaries and this one is one of our new favorites! The only gripe was the menus included food for the Halloween event but didn't state it was only available in the evening during the event times. Had to work at finding food after being excited about several things on the menu and it not being available.

Slightly disappointed that there aren't more animals to look at. 1 tiger, 1 hippo, 1 rhinoceros, 1 polar bear ... the list just goes on and on. But overall it was still enjoyable to see that they are still very well cared for and their environments were quite sizable compared to other zoos I've seen.

Great animal talks, demonstrations, and exhibits. The bear talks and seal show are really cool to see the animals up close. The tram is a relief from the hills and to get to a certain area quicker. Suggested donation is $1. Wait time for a tram may be 15 minutes. The Splash Park is fun (check website or call ahead to see if it’s open or closed for maintenance). There are several employees making sure kids use the slides one at a time. There are two playgrounds near the restaurants.

The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is a must-visit attraction in Louisville, offering tours and exhibits on the iconic sports equipment. The museum showcases the handcrafting process of the famous Louisville Slugger baseball bats, which have been an industry standard for nearly 140 years. Located in Downtown Louisville on Museum Row, visitors can explore interactive exhibits and learn about the history of baseball while admiring iconic artifacts like Babe Ruth's bat.
I had no idea what to expect when we went to the Slugger Museum in Kentucky. My husband and the kids were excited, which made me curious as to why. The tour turned out to be very thorough and engaging. Our guide was knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and answered all of our questions along the way. One of the most memorable parts for me was learning about the machines brought over from Germany in 1964. They’ve been in operation ever since, and I was amazed at how well they still work. When I asked about repairs, the guide explained that there are mechanics on site who specialize in maintaining them, with that knowledge passed down from generation to generation. I also learned something I had never thought about before… Slugger bats are made from three types of wood: birch, ash, and maple. The history behind the bats and the precision that goes into how they are made, even down to the way they are positioned, and how the decals or stamping are carefully placed, gave me a whole new appreciation for the bats themselves. I would highly recommend making the Slugger Museum one of your stops if you’re visiting the area.

We love this place! We took our kids there because they play baseball and I highly recommend doing the full tour experience. Their shop has a nice variety of bats at an affordable price. Their cafe staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Go visit!

I had the best time at parklands today!! The louisville loop is a beautiful trail to walk there are so many tress with beautiful flowers and natural nature beauty. The restrooms are VERY clean and maintained. My favorite part of going today was climbing to the top of the climbing silo (it was stairs) and looking at the beautiful view of the park. I will definitely be visiting this park again this summer on my own time!

We only had time to ride a 6 mile section in the middle, but The Louisville Loop is THE BEST BIKE PATH IN THE WORLD. I would give it 50 stars if I could. It is excessively wide, wonderfully smooth, and comes with many cool bridges over the scenic river. And best of all, it felt like I was riding downhill, BOTH ways! 😆

Rode my bicycle through 4 of the 5 parks connected by the Louisville Loop. I was worried it might be noisy and big city sights. I was pleasantly proved wrong. This was a beautiful ride through the parks. The trail is well marked, with numerous trailheads to access the trail. Cyclists, hikers, walkers were all using the trail. Plenty of CLEAN, well maintained bathrooms at the trailheads. Make sure to stop and read about the history of the area at the Trailheads.

What a beautiful park! There are great open spaces, access to trails and natural areas, and a dog park. There are parking lots spaced throughout, making it convenient to get in and get to relaxing quickly. There is a HUGE open lawn with a trail around it. It's perfect for just about anything from laying out, playing catch, flying kites, having a picnic, and so much more. There's sooooooo much room. If you like having wife open spaces and access to some other park amenities, the Parklands is perfect.

While Beckley Creek and Pope Lick Parks are beautiful, Turkey Run Park and especially Broad Run arem more of what many of us go to a park for. Peace and tranquility. They all have great hiking and biking trails but those two are the best. BC and BR both have spraygrounds and playgrounds so that is sure to please the little visitors. They all open at sunrise and close at sundown. The Parklands website is a fountain of info on what they have to offer. As well as the few rules they have.

Great staff, very knowledgeable and friendly, Kevin did great at the tasting. We absolutely love all of the different barrel finishes that Starlight comes up with. From the wine to the bourbon they take great pride in the product they produce. Always a staple on our bar !!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a fun place for all ages! We picked fresh fruit, explored the farm, and enjoyed some great wine. Everything was well organized and super family-friendly. The staff was kind, and the whole experience felt relaxed and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back during the fall season!

Wonderful experience at the Huber Farm and Winery. We went on a tour of the winery and distillery and it was very fun! June did a great job explaining the different parts of the tour. At the end, we got to do a tasting and the wines and bourbons were very tasty! Afterwards, we listened to some live music and walked around the Farm Market - very fun experience overall!

Hubert’s Apple Orchard in southern Indiana is a beautiful destination that combines charm, variety, and convenience. The property offers plenty of parking and an easy layout that makes visiting stress-free. Their market is well-stocked with a large assortment of fresh seasonal fruit, including apples, grapes, and peaches, along with a great selection of canned goods and baked treats. The winery and tasting area are thoughtfully arranged, creating a welcoming atmosphere enhanced by live music that adds to the overall experience. Whether you’re there for fresh produce, unique local products, or simply to enjoy the winery setting, Hubert’s delivers a wonderful outing for families and friends alike.

We had a great time here. We were able to get lunch in the restaurant. We had a great tasting. You get a 7 drink flight. There was a band playing outside. We even got ice cream. Awesome

Had a great time at Huber’s today! Stopped up for the Loft Tasting for the first time - a couple of us did the wine and a couple did the spirits. Gary was awesome! Was as interested in teaching my son about the process as he was about the drinks themselves.

This place exceeded all expectations. We tasted the dry wines which were wonderful and well priced; the spirits which were also very good with a lot of options for finished whiskeys. Taste and price comparable to across the river in KY. The place is huge (800 acres) and I do suggest visiting on a weekday as opposed to a weekend. Very family friendly with everything from food, pick your own, ice cream shop, cheese shop. Farm stand as well as the winery and distillery. If you are in the Southern Indiana or Louisville area, definitely a must stop.

Another stop on my wine tour; 1st time at this particular winery; the lovely ladies working there suggested the Razzy Apple and Blackberry (sweet) wines 🍷 also purchased the turkey club sandwich with chips; there is a dining area for wine sampling if interested;
