So beautiful! There’s so many different animals from all over the world. I think they did amazing with their conservation message. I was pleasantly surprised with how much space the animals had. It almost made me happy that I couldn’t see some of them. We were able to see keepers do training and talk with them as well. Overall super fun place!

A hot 90° but pleasant trip to the Living Desert zoo & Gardens. It was off season on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't crowded at all. We were able to take our time. I really enjoyed their model trains and miniature city! Learn names of the plants & Cacti. The big cats are beautiful. Visited the nutrition center and vet hospital. We saw a bunch of baby tortoise, the 2 new super cute baby giraffe, 2 wallaby with joeys in their pouches. And a new comer, a badger. There was a ton of construction happening, so I'll have to come back when that's finished to see the new lion exhibit and during the season when its bustling! Super friendly staff and feed the giraffe.

Visited here with my boyfriend, mom and toddler. We’re from out of town and were skeptical about spending $40 each to get in, but I’m so glad we did. We spent a couple hours there and easily could have spent some extra time there. They let you feed the giraffes which I thought was so cool and probably the highlight for me. They just had babies in September so that was also really cool. We were there at just the right time as they just added an exhibit for monkeys. I love me some monkeys. They also recently added a splash pad for kids to play at and that was a great little stop to cool down for my little one. I loved how open the exhibits were and how much extra space the animals had comparative to some of the other zoos I’ve been to. Highly recommend checking this zoo out.
Katie T — Google review
This place is absolutely amazing. You can tell this is a sanctuary for animals and not a place where they are put on display. The staff care so much for these animals and it shows. My husband and I visit every year and we also love to come for the holiday light fest they have at night during late November through December. It’s such a gorgeous place to visit and walk through. Literally fun for all ages. I fed the giraffes this time too and it was so awesome to be so up close with them. You can also be up close with the wallaby’s in their enclosure and watch them hop around which was so fun.
Sierra C — Google review
We found this on our visit to Palm Springs and decided to take a couple hours out of our day and go. Ticketing was very easy and there was no line to speak of. Loved the way the grounds were laid out and the different fauna and flora, the towering palm trees, the agaves, aloes and the different types of desert plant life. We were surprised to see as many active animals as we did and the number of animals was impressive. The gentleman at the rhino exhibit took his time and gave us lots of info on the rhino’s. Fun and informative way to spend a coupe hours while in the Palm Springs area.
Scott C — Google review
Excellent place for all ages! Great interactions with the animals and staff. Plenty of places to eat or bring your own food and drink. Handicap accessible for a majority of the park. There are several unpaved trails that take you through the botanical cactus deserts. There is also a beginner half mile hiking trail accessible inside the park. Plenty of trees for shade while walking around the park. plenty if chairs and benches throughout the park. You could stay there all day and relax watching the animals. Will definitely make the trip to visit again!
Buttons P — Google review
We were there for the first time this morning. What a great zoo! It is extremely clean and well organized. The animal enclosures and habitats were great. The volunteer man who was working at the bobcat exhibit was excellent! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Those two bobcats we're adorable. We will definitely be back!

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a massive wilderness area that boasts an abundance of hiking trails, wildflowers, trees, shrubs, and cacti. It's considered one of the richest natural-history museums in the nation and features stunning desert vistas that are unmatched in their privacy and beauty. Camping opportunities abound for those seeking a more secluded experience, with plenty of space to explore off the beaten path.
Amazing park, a little off the beaten path but beautiful and with some free camping options. If Joshua Tree is booked or you have a little extra time it’s worth a visit for sure. A nearby giant metal sculpture garden is whimsical!
Adam O — Google review
A very well maintained sprawling state park with tons of beautiful trails and serene desert campsites and well maintained bathrooms and a gorgeous visitor center! Be aware that most if not all trails from what I can tell do not allow dogs, even on leashes
Nash H — Google review
Really stunning area with lots to explore. We focused on the sculptures during our visit, spent hours but still didn't explore all! Will be back for sure.

This place is one of my favorite places in California because of the amazing hike into the canyon. I love the dinosaurs nearby and the town feels like it was frozen in time. Very much old California and the Wild West. Plus you have the mountains that are snowcapped in the winter about half an hour away and the beach 2 hours away. Beautiful place to explore the desert and see wild sheep (borregos) if you are lucky! 🐏
Maymie N — Google review
We had an amazing visit! We went early spring and several things were blooming. The stars were wonderful. The hiking was great. Especially the Palm Canyon trail! The oasis is amazing and some bighorn sheep came close to the trail. The welcome center is nice and the volunteers there are incredibly helpful. One of the naturalists (Ms. Bussey I think, sorry if that's wrong) helped us decided between two trail and her advice was so valuable.
Amanda G — Google review
Off roading is a family favorite! We go a few times a year and use the showers and restroom provided by the park and tent or trailer camp. There is nothing better than waking up to the smell of a 2 stroke and the sound of fun!
Michelle P — Google review
This is an incredible desert park and is a gift that keeps on giving. Plenty of off roading, primitive camping, a great visitor center and a genuinely welcoming town. The desert is beautiful 365 days a year but always pay attention to the weather and park rangers’ advice!
Lynnann M — Google review
Huge area to spread out in, great hiking trails for all abilities, a few cool towns to shop and resupply...mostly great campers from all over the country. Camp grounds were loud with the "city folk" on the weekends but boondocking is better as long as we all respect the minimal rules. Thank you CA parks!

Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

Mentioned on

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
The Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, also known as Hoover Dam Bridge, is a remarkable engineering feat spanning the Colorado River between Arizona and Nevada. The four-lane highway bridge stretches 1,500 feet long and stands at an impressive height of 890 feet above the river. It boasts of the world's tallest concrete columns and holds the title for being the highest and longest arched concrete bridge in the Western Hemisphere.
This was our first stop after landing in Las Vegas. It's a walkway bridge with stunning views of Hoover Dam. I was amazed to walk through the bridge as it is built so high on the Hoover dam that one can easily have a breathtaking view of the Dam. When you are standing at the center of the bridge facing towards the Dam then on your right side is Arizona and on the left side is Nevada state. You have to climb some steps from the parking lot to the bridge. When I visited it was so windy that I was getting pushed by the wind. So, before visiting check the weather advisory for the winds. Plenty of parking slots were available when I visited. They also have restrooms at the parking lot.
Amol M — Google review
Don't look down. It would be a big fall. There can be gust of winds. It's a big climb to get to the bridge. Honestly pretty cool bridge. It can be quite hot up there. Bring water because you will need it on the hike.
Donny B — Google review
Amazing viewpoint connecting Nevada and Arizona! The bridge offers a breathtaking overlook of Hoover Dam and the Colorado River below. Short hike from the parking area to the viewpoint with clear signage. Windy up there, so hold onto your hat! Definitely worth the stop.
Marta S — Google review
The Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, also known as the Hoover Dam Bypass, is located along US Highway 93 at the Arizona/Nevada state line. Its official address is 27953, 28689 Great Basin Highway in Boulder City, Nevada. This bridge spans the Colorado River after water passes by the Hoover Dam power generators and spillways. It was built to divert traffic that used to drive along the top of the Hoover Dam. There is a pedestrian path along the bridge and its wall does a pretty good job blocking the view of the Hoover Dam from vehicles driving the across the bridge. I have not walked across the bridge, but I understand that it provides a great vantage point to view the Hoover Dam. This arch bridge sits 890 feet (270 m) above the Colorado River. Like every bridge, it will flex and sway from traffic driving across the bridge as well as wind passing through The Black Canyon of the Colorado. This sway is intentional as a rigid structure would be damaged by the forces exerted upon it.
Gamera O — Google review
After our Hoover Dam tour, we moved our car to the free outdoor lot (Boulder Dam Bridge Parking) and walked the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. You can visit the bridge before or after the dam, but if you’re joining a tour, it’s best to do the tour first in the morning and save the bridge walk for later. This massive bridge connects Arizona and Nevada, built to ease traffic around the dam. It opened in 2010, is 1,905 ft long (579m), 890 ft high (270m), and is the 2nd tallest bridge in the U.S. and it even won a bridge design award in 2012. It’s named after: • Mike O’Callaghan, Governor of Nevada (1971–1979) • Pat Tillman, an NFL player who left his career to serve in the military and died in action in 2004. You can walk across the bridge to get amazing views of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. You might feel the bridge slightly sway( something to keep in mind if you’re afraid of heights). We visited in late March and it was super hot and dry (over 30°C / 90°F), so definitely bring a hat and water. The bridge isn’t long, but with no shade, it feels intense under the sun. If you have a free day in Vegas, this side trip is totally worth it!
Jenny L — Google review
This was a part of my tour called Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam skywalk tour. Definitely do if you’re able to withstand the heat and the walking.
Victor W — Google review
The lynchpin of a very important bypass of the Hoover Dam. Quite the engineering marvel. The bird's-eye view of the dam is unparalleled. Several placards on the way briefly describe the process to build the bridge. Popular with visitors.

Dams
Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a remarkable engineering marvel from the Depression era. It stands as one of America's Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders and offers tours and scenic views of the Colorado River and Lake Mead. The dam, completed ahead of schedule and under budget in 1936, was built by thousands of men enduring extreme conditions to create the massive 726ft-high structure. The iconic art-deco styled dam redefines the stark landscape and holds historical significance.
Love it here. The greatest engineering accomplishment period. Fun fact. First guy who died on this project had the same name as the last guy to die. They died on the same date - the year as well. The story of how they built this is just absolutely incredible. Need to buy tickets in advance to get down Area 51 like secured access road. Guided with Adventure Child
Cameron S — Google review
America is great. What a sight. What an accomplishment. It is always a must see. You can now drive across the dam again. Also can walk across it. Tours are first come first serve. So you get there and get in line and then get assigned a time. The view from the bridge is also spectacular.
William T — Google review
Love it! Absolutely massive and breathtaking! One of the most incredible sites I’ve ever visited. The scenery is stunning from all perspectives, the engineering is mind-blowing, and it’s such an impressive place overall. 100% worth the trip.
Ada — Google review
Great place to visit, entrance and parking is free. However, DO NOT go into the visitor center because they have ticket ranges from 15 to 40 dollars for exhibitions which last five minutes. Don’t waste your money on that, just walk outside and enjoy it thete
Junaid K — Google review
An absolutely breathtaking engineering marvel! As an engineer, I was truly amazed by the incredible architecture and precision behind the Hoover Dam. The massive structure, the surrounding scenery, and the sheer scale of this monument are mind-blowing. It’s a perfect tribute to the brilliance of civil engineering and a symbol of human innovation. Just 40 minutes from Las Vegas, this place is a must-visit — the views, the backwaters, and the overall experience will leave you speechless. Don’t miss the chance to witness this masterpiece of engineering excellence!”
Hari K — Google review
I had seen multiple pictures of this dam and thought it was big, but this thing is HUGE!!! We did the tour that took us down inside and that was very informative. It’s also very interesting looking around in the museum and seeing all things they used and how they built it. Definitely a cool place to visit!!

Hoover Dam is an engineering marvel showcasing human ingenuity and strength. The view of the Colorado River from the top is breathtaking. A must-visit landmark that beautifully combines history, architecture, and nature.

Amazing views of such a majestic place. Ride the red shuttle all the way hermits rest. Every picture is a good one with the canyons in the back. Continue down for the long hike to the Colorado river , or just stop for a Picnic packed lunch . A few tables offer a a great place to eat and get photos. The red shuttle runs every 10 minutes however the mask rule is still ridiculous. Lots of squirrels and birds make it like a scene from Bambi . Do not feed! Don’t leave your bang unattended either as it may be ransacked by those little furry guys! Be sure to switch your camera to panoramic to get the best pics! Enjoy

If you’re in Vegas and you want to make a day trip to the Grand Canyon this is perfect. It took us about two hours to drive there and the cost for the skywalk and the general admission was about $60. That might seem a bit steep but I can tell you that I felt it was worth it. Though I was scared to death to walk around the skywalk I was blown away by the incredible views of the Grand Canyon. I would suggest this place as a day trip for anybody that doesn’t have time to make the 4 Hour Dr. to the actual park.

Grand Canyon West Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet from the canyon rim, offering visitors the thrilling experience of walking 4,000 feet above the canyon floor. Managed by the Hualapai Tribe, this attraction is just one part of a tour that includes other unique canyon views and points of interest. While some visitors choose to skip the Skywalk due to long lines and high prices, many find that Guano Point offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience.
Well worth the drive! We went in October on a Wednesday and arrived at 9 AM and there were VERY few people there. No wait for the bus out to the Sky Walk. Great experience. Pay the $45 to get 16 professional photos taken of your group. He was hysterically funny! This was one of the highlights of our trip to the area!
David M — Google review
Skywalk at Grand Canyon West I recently visited the Skywalk at Grand Canyon West, and overall, the experience was disappointing. While mobile phones are allowed, the professional photographers stationed along the Skywalk tend to block the best viewing spots, making it hard to enjoy the view or take your own photos freely. It felt more like a sales setup than a scenic experience , with constant pressure to step aside so they can take photos to sell you later. The Skywalk itself is much smaller than expected, and although the view is nice, it's not significantly better than other areas of the canyon that are free and far less commercialized. For the high ticket price, I expected something more immersive and less restricted. Crowds, limited time on the platform, and overall poor value made this a low point in an otherwise amazing Grand Canyon trip. If you're planning to visit, I’d recommend skipping the Skywalk and heading to the South Rim or other less tourist-heavy viewpoints, you’ll get better views, more freedom, and a more authentic connection with the canyon.

Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Skywalk at Grand Canyon West was unreal — totally worth the trip. They give you slippers to put on before you enter the skywalk. Standing on that glass bridge and looking straight down into the canyon is wild… it honestly feels like you’re floating in the sky! Even if ur afraid of heights, by the time you go around the 3rd time(15 min allowed for each time), it’s not so scary and is even thrilling! The views are beyond words — endless layers of red rock, the Colorado River running through, and this peaceful, powerful energy all around. I spent a few hours exploring the area — there are great photo spots everywhere, places to sit and take it all in, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything felt really organized, and the whole experience was smooth. I’d 100% recommend going early because the light hits the canyon in the most magical way. It’s one of those bucket-list places you just have to see in person — no photo can do it justice! The skywalk closes at 5 pm, so there’s really no chance of seeing the sunset, unless it’s deep into winter, but hopefully soon, they will extend the hours. Free parking on site.
Hadasa A — Google review
I enjoyed the skywalk! It was interactive and more fun than I thought it would be. I went early AM on a Sunday and the crew working at that time was very laidback. Everyone was allowed to take pictures and the camera crew didn’t force their services on anyone unless they asked. I would definitely suggest going early if you can and going offseason. I went in mid-October. It was nice because I felt like I had some parks of the canyon to myself! Not sure if it would be something I’d ever do again just due to cost and time restrictions, but I do think it’s worth checking out at least once! It was pretty close to Vegas. I drove out in the early AM and I would estimate it’s a half day trip if you start somewhat early.
Gracie G — Google review
I’ve always wanted to visit GCW since the Skywalk opened and finally got there today and it was an amazing experience. Awesome views of the canyon from around the property and directly down some 3,000’ below along on the Skywalk loop. The Skywalk is a cantilever design with nothing supporting it underneath as it hangs precariously over the canyon edge. There are also authentically correct replicas of several different Indian homes from different Tribes indigenous to this area of the Grand Canyon. There also locals selling jewelry, a snack shop; dancers; restaurant, and gift shop. PS: Some trails can be rugged…

100% worth a visit... Very well run, clean throughout and all staff are super friendly. Stunning photo opportunities of the Grand Canyon West, Eagle Point and the Skybridge
Christopher D — Google review
So amazing!!! To be walking on glass almost a mile over the Grand Canyon floor is amazing. The only negative about visiting here and Guano Point was that it cost 100 dollars plus taxes a person. But worth doing it once. The views are amazing and worth it. As I have recommended on the other stop, I would go in the late fall or early spring. It was so hot when we visited in the summer. Staff is very kind. The shuttle comes every few mins so it’s very easy navigating around.
Suparna B — Google review
Breath taking views from both Eagle point (skywalk) and Guano point. It is a long drive down a single lane highway which is poorly sign posted. You can purchase your ticket 🎟 at the gate. All access pass is about $100 USD and will give access to Skywalk and Zip lining. Well worth the trip, suitable for all ages.

The iconic sign near the South Entrance Station of Grand Canyon National Park is a popular spot for visitors to pose for photos. The staff and bus drivers are known for their helpfulness and friendliness. Winter is an excellent time to visit, as there are fewer crowds and it's easier to access various trails with full views of the canyon. Many people enjoy hiking the canyon, while others prefer to take in the breathtaking scenery at leisure.
An absolutely breathtaking place! The Grand Canyon’s stunning views and massive landscapes are beyond words. Perfect for hiking, photography, and enjoying nature’s beauty. Sunrise and sunset here are unforgettable. A must-visit destination and truly one of the world’s natural wonders!

In love with the grand canyon national Park. Despite the government shut down, we did not experience any difficulties staying within the park.. the employees were amazing and helpful. The paved hikes are really amazing because it was easy taking the kids (4 year and 11months) to watch the sunset and stargazing. God truly is the best painter. Beautiful rims.

Our family visit to the Grand Canyon was incredible. The scenery is stunning beyond words — layered colors, endless cliffs, and views that make you stop in your tracks. The trails were well marked, the overlooks were amazing, and the entire park was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend for anyone looking for unforgettable natural beauty.

Grand Canyon National Park is one of the most extraordinary destinations in the world — a true masterpiece of nature. The canyon’s vastness, intricate layers of rock, and vibrant colors create a landscape that is both humbling and unforgettable. Whether viewed from the rim or explored from within, every angle reveals a new perspective on the Earth’s incredible geological history. The park is exceptionally well-maintained, with a variety of experiences suited for every visitor. Scenic viewpoints offer stunning panoramas, while well-marked trails provide opportunities for hiking, photography, and solitude. The sunrise and sunset views are particularly breathtaking, painting the canyon in golden and crimson hues that defy description. Park rangers and staff are professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about preservation and visitor education. Their guidance enhances the experience, ensuring that guests can explore safely and responsibly. In every sense, Grand Canyon National Park stands as a testament to the beauty and power of nature. It is a destination that leaves a lasting impression and should be considered an essential stop for anyone seeking to witness one of the world’s greatest natural wonders.

The Grand Canyon is one of the most awe-inspiring and majestic places I’ve ever visited. Standing at the rim, you’re completely humbled by the sheer size, beauty, and silence of this natural wonder. The vast layers of colorful rock formations tell millions of years of Earth’s history, and the way the light changes across the canyon walls throughout the day is absolutely mesmerizing. No photo can ever do it justice — you truly have to see it in person to understand how incredible it is. Every viewpoint offers something unique. The South Rim provides sweeping panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see, while the North Rim feels more peaceful and secluded. The hiking trails, like Bright Angel and South Kaibab, let you experience the canyon up close each turn revealing new shades of red, orange, and gold. Even just walking along the rim, you feel the power and timelessness of nature surrounding you. Watching the sunrise and sunset at the Grand Canyon is an unforgettable experience. The colors shift and glow in ways that almost feel unreal — from deep purples and blues in the morning to fiery reds and oranges as the sun sets behind the cliffs. The atmosphere becomes completely still, and everyone around you falls silent, just taking it all in. The park is also well-organized, with excellent visitor centers, friendly rangers, and clean facilities. There are plenty of lookouts, rest spots, and information panels that make it easy to explore and appreciate the history and geology of the area. Overall, the Grand Canyon isn’t just a place you visit it’s a place you feel. It leaves a deep impression and a sense of wonder that stays with you long after you leave. It’s one of the most extraordinary natural landscapes in the world, and a trip everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

We were in Arizona and visited the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Breathtaking, magnificent, and true natural wonder. No words can describe the experience. A definite add to anyone's bucket list. We cant wait to go back and see the north rim
Denise S — Google review
My second time to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The first time was 50 years ago. Still one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places in the United States of America. We arrived just before sunrise and during the two hours we were there the scenes change as the sun rises higher in the sky. Sunrise and sunset are the times I recommend for viewing this magnificent place as that is when the shadows are long and the definition is high. It's cold that early so wear warm clothes in layers as it gets quite warm fast.

⭐ Visitor Review – Grand Canyon South Rim The Grand Canyon South Rim is a must‑see—every stop delivers awe and unforgettable moments. Our first stop was the Desert View Watchtower, a stone sentinel on the canyon’s edge. Climbing its spiral staircase revealed vibrant Native American motifs, colors dancing like notes on a score. Laughter and the refrain “Gorgeous, it was was” carried us onward. Cruising Desert View Road to the Visitor Center, we made a beeline for the rim—and then the *OH MAN* moment hit. That view. That peace. Photos couldn’t capture the impossible scale, though we tried. A tourist’s wild hand gestures suggested standing closer to the edge; we laughed and wisely backed away. 👉 Highly recommended: The Grand Canyon South Rim is more than a view—it’s an experience etched in memory.

Until this week I didn't even know this National Treasure existed. Needed a place to stay, wanted something new and different so here I am. The first thing that struck me is the absolute friendliness and wonderful Navajo people I've met. Each and every person has been a wonderful host and perfect example of what Americans should be. The Canyon is breathtaking and worth visiting. Yesterday evening we stopped at all the south overlooks, today we went to the north side overlooks. Each and every stop was a treat for this traveling beardedrvtech. I hope my photos do shine justice to the Canyon. This morning I booked a jeep tour with Beauty Way Jeep tours. Our guide Arianna was knowledgeable, sincere and willing to answer our questions. He family owns the property in front of Antelope ruins. We actually had fry bread right where he ancestors act 100s of years ago. I highly recommend you give Canyon de Chelly a visit.

Visited this park as part of a northern Arizona tour my husband and I decided to take. We absolutely loved it! The White House Trail was open, and while challenging, it was completely worth it. Each of the overlooks had a unique view. I saw a few reviews complaining about "panhandlers" at the overlooks, but honestly, everyone was extremely polite, willing to share the local history and their personal stories, and definitely NOT pushy in any way. I felt it added to the experience where I was definitely a visitor in their land. We visited at the end of September, the weather was perfect and the park was not crowded. I differently recommend!

Friendly staff at the visitor center. I recommend driving the saw rim all the way to the end to the vista point then stopping at all view points on the way back. Beautiful views, especially in late afternoon with the sun to the west. It’s also free.

History museum
The Bradbury Science Museum is an educational destination featuring 35 interactive exhibits that cover a wide range of topics, from natural defense to the development of nuclear bombs. The museum's origins date back to researcher Robert Krohn, who began creating exhibits based on classified experiments conducted in Los Alamos during nuclear tests. Initially housed in a disused ice house for protection, the museum is now named after Norris Bradbury, the lab's director who approved its establishment.
I recently visited the Bradbury Science Museum, and it was a very informative experience. The museum offers a detailed look into the science and history of the projects related to nuclear explosions. One of the highlights was a 15-minute informative video shown in their theater, which provided a great overview of the projects and their significance. The exhibits were well-organized, and the information was thorough, giving visitors a deep understanding of the work done at Los Alamos National Laboratory. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in science and history.

I loved my visit to the Bradbury Science Museum — it's a fascinating place filled with unique artifacts and compelling stories that bring history and science to life. The exhibits about the Manhattan Project and the science behind it are incredibly well-done and informative. I especially appreciated how interactive and thoughtfully curated everything was. It is also free! The staff were also amazing — super friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about the museum and its mission. Whether you're into history, science, or just looking for something unique and engaging to explore, this place is a must-visit in Los Alamos. Highly recommend!

This is the place to visit in addition to the National Museum of Nuclear Science to learn about Nuclear science, what made the U.S. starting to develop those weapons during WW2 and how the science still used for energy development on top of other research been created at the National Laboratory up the road. The National Laboratory was an integral part for the development of Nuclear energy and applications today still a research facility for the development of other products and research. The Bradbury Science museum is phenomenal and free to visit. Highly interactive with plenty to learn and explore while there. We spend a few hours and had a great time. You also learn about the atomic bomb and the scientists behind it like Robert Oppenheimer and the National Laboratory. While in the area check out some of the locations from the movie Oppenheimer including the house where he lived, locations around the town and other areas around New Mexico where the movie was filmed. Overall a great experience and highly recommend it for the whole family.

Bradbury Science Museum is an excellent resource for learning about the scientific method. The hands-on exhibits are informative for all ages. Watch the 15 minute film to have a good overview of the work at Los Alamos. Be sure to visit the gift shop for interesting science oriented products.

This great museum is FREE!! From the outside, this museum looks small, but it is packed with fascinating displays. You could easily spend an entire day and not go through everything. It is arranged well, so you can focus on your areas of interest, and skim over the others. Two great videos, one of the history and another of the future. It is exciting to see what is happening at Los Alamos today!

Because I did the Los Alamos history museum tour, I didn't get breakfast. And I was starving when I got to the Bradbury museum so I didn't stay as long as I meant to. However, I still managed to catch both 15 min movies that were featured in their respective auditoriums. It's an incredibly informative museum that is well maintained, with loads of interactive exhibits that really draw a visitor in, regardless of age or attention span. I'm looking forward to visiting again with my whole family! Also, entry is FREE.

The Bradbury Science Museum is a great educational experience. This museum is dedicated to everything regarding nuclear weapons. They gave plenty information about the history of the Manhattan project, nuclear weapons design, peaceful uses of nuclear energy, and current safeguards in place. There were two full size models of the “little boy” and “fat man” bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There were also plenty of interactive simulations. Everything at the museum was free of charge. There is so much to learn and experience at the Bradbury Science Museum for people of all ages.
Frenite — Google review
If you are in Los Alamos for a tour of the Manhattan Project, you definitely need to drop by the Bradbury Science Museum. If nothing else, I found the timeline composition to be a good backstory, add to that the analytical run-down of the different sites (buildings) which you cannot access on the lab grounds, and the full-size mock-ups of "Fat Man" and "Little Boy" the museum highlights filled-in my need for the 'science' side of the story that you will not get from the walking tour. Don't get me wrong, the history of the town is great and looking at old buildings from the '40s that were not snatched up by the park service until very recently, is kind of fun. However, seeing the wiring of the detonation mechanism for Fat Man was really cool and unexpected.

Located in Amarillo, Texas, Cadillac Ranch is a unique public art installation created in 1974 by the group of artists known as Ant Farm. The installation features ten vintage Cadillacs buried halfway into the ground and covered with vibrant graffiti. This quirky tribute to the Golden Age of American automobiles has gained national recognition and become a popular tourist destination. Over the years, the cars have been transformed by colorful graffiti art contributed by visitors, making each visit to Cadillac Ranch a unique experience.
If you’re driving along I-40, Cadillac Ranch is one of those must-see roadside attractions you just can’t miss. It’s quirky, colorful, and full of character. Ten Cadillacs are buried nose-first in the ground, creating a public art installation that has become an iconic stop for travelers. One of the best parts? You’re encouraged to participate! Visitors bring or buy spray paint right there and add their own touch to the cars. Layers upon layers of paint tell the story of thousands of people who have passed through. Whether you write your name, doodle something fun, or just splash some color around, it’s all part of the experience. It’s also a great place to stretch your legs, walk around, and snap some fun, Instagram-worthy pictures. The wide-open Texas sky makes for an amazing backdrop. Cadillac Ranch isn’t just an art installation—it’s an experience that blends creativity, history, and road trip fun. If you’re ever on I-40 near Amarillo, it’s absolutely worth a stop.
Mrs A — Google review
Great place to kill 15 or 20 minutes and stretch your legs. The kids were clearly having a ball spray painting the cars. Judging by the sweet truck and trailer, selling spray paint on the road side is very lucrative! It's worth the stop to get the kids out of the car if nothing else :)

🎨 A good place to visit enroute to Colorado from Texas. This place has got exactly 10 inverted cars available for painting. 🚗 We got our own paints from Walmart at $2.60 each. If you get from the Merch store here it will be $7.50 so plan accordingly. ⚠️ Take necessary precautions since this place is extremely windy and when you face the opposing wind while someone is spray painting, the paint might just get to your face and body.
Raghu R — Google review
This is awesome! Very iconic stop on Route 66 that absolutely lives up to its reputation. This is a MUST STOP on Route 66 and if the merch truck and trailer are you can get your paint, shirts, stickers and other memorabilia from them right there on site!

Cadillac Ranch is one of those quirky roadside attractions that perfectly captures the spirit of old Route 66. Located just west of Amarillo, Texas, it features ten vintage Cadillacs buried nose-first in the desert soil, their tail fins reaching toward the sky like a row of colorful sentinels. Layers upon layers of spray paint cover every inch of the cars, creating a constantly changing canvas that visitors from around the world add to daily. It’s free to visit, easy to access, and delightfully weird in all the right ways. Bring a can of paint if you’d like to leave your mark, or simply walk among the cars and take in the vibrant chaos of color and creativity. The wind across the plains, the crunch of gravel underfoot, and the sight of those half-buried Cadillacs make this one of the most iconic and photogenic stops along the Texas stretch of Route 66. Definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates Americana, art, and the beautifully bizarre.
Thomas C — Google review
Fun place to visit. It really reminds me of the 7 magic mountain in LV. This place is better because you can buy a spray paint and do graphite on the cars. Definitely worth to stop by but not make it a trip.
Pinny B — Google review
Super cool spot to stop along the way. We expected it to be packed, but we were there on a Monday afternoon and were able to make our mark on the cars. They had clean grounds, convenient truck that can sell spray paint and gifts. Loved it.
Catie — Google review
This is an iconic spot to visit on your way through town. The spot is pretty well maintained, with trash cans around for the empty spray paint cans, and a fence to keep vehicles (and motorcycles?) out. However, it isn’t obvious when you arrive that you need to park on the street and walk down to the cars, which are about 100 yards off the roadway. They could certainly make an off-street parking lot that makes parking safer and allows a shorter access to the monument. Minor details Definitely worth a break to stretch the legs on a road trip!

We camped 3 nights at the Juniper Campground! The campsite, restrooms, camp hosts, and wildlife visitors were ALL absolutely delightful!! We did several nice hikes and enjoyed them all!! Instead of the Lighthouse Trail, we decided to make it a loop with Givens, Spicer and Lowry to the Lighthouse and Paseo del Rio! We were glad we did! The Lighthouse portion a of that loop was really the least scenic!! What a wonderful place to explore! Texas State Parks does a GREAT JOB!! Thank you!!

Beautiful area. The biking loops were pedally and fun. There’s a bike rack on the lighthouse trail before the steep section. The campgrounds are nice, the one we popped into had water, flushing toilets and showers. We didn’t find out the overnight price. Lots of space on a Monday in November.

Absolutely beautiful state park in America’s second largest canyon. Well preserved and maintained, with a road that goes from the rim—and the visitors center—to the bottom, without too many hairpin turns. There’s even a Trading Post that sells food and drink in the canyon (including ice cream!). In terms of hikes, highly recommend Lighthouse Trail—2.8 miles in and 2.8 back—as well as the big cave at the end of the paved road. Super beautiful, mostly flat, and doable with kids.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is a poignant tribute to the victims of the 1995 Murrah Building bombing. The memorial features a reflective pool and a garden, along with 168 chairs representing each victim of the attack, including 19 children who were in the building's daycare. The museum provides in-depth information about the bombing and Timothy McVeigh's trial, offering visitors context for their visit.
This was really cool. I love that the memorial took out part of the street in order to make the reflecting pool. It is moving and quiet in the middle of the city. It was simple but poignant. My son was with us (18 yrs) and he did not take know any details so it was great to be able to talk him through history that I remembered from when I was 12. We did not have time to do the museum, which would have answered a lot of his questions but we did the best we could but the interactive video screens were extremely helpful. I truly recommended stopping if you are in OKC. I also suggest going across the street to the church memorial and reading the story there. Worth the time.

Review of the Oklahoma City National Memorial ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 Stars) Visiting the Oklahoma City National Memorial was an incredibly moving and humbling experience. The site is beautifully designed, with powerful symbolism throughout—especially the Field of Empty Chairs, which honors each life lost in the 1995 bombing. The atmosphere is respectful and reflective, and it’s clear that a lot of care went into creating a space for both remembrance and healing. One of the highlights of our visit was speaking with a National Park Ranger on site. His deep knowledge and thoughtful storytelling added a whole new layer of meaning to our experience. The insight he shared about the significance of each part of the memorial helped us connect more personally with the events and the resilience of the Oklahoma City community. It’s clear he is passionate about his role, and it made a real difference in our visit. This memorial is a must-visit for anyone in the area—both to pay respects and to better understand an important part of American history.

Amazing memorial! Since 9/11, it seems this tragedy seems to have been largely forgotten, but this memorial and museum does a great job of reminding us how big this event was. The memorial with the reflecting pool is beautiful and the part with the chairs is heartbreaking once you realize the small chairs represent the children that were killed. And the museum is very informative and the videos very moving. Glad we went and I highly recommend it!

What an incredibly touching memorial that can move the strongest person to tears. You can feel the pain at this memorial with so many innocent young and old lives lost. This was a beautiful memorial to honor those lives lost and those left behind. The outdoor memorial was very well constructed and the museum inside was eye opening and jaw dropping. Worth the experience as you will learn, see and hear actual recordings from that day. 💔

Visiting the memorial and museum was a powerful experience. I was 5 or 6 when this happened and don't have the most vivid memory of it so I'm glad to have visited to more truly understand the gravity of this tragedy. Our country would benefit by everyone visiting to see what happens when we give in to hatred and extremism but also to see the best in us when we come together and stand united.

Such a beautiful tribute to all affected by this horrible event. Planned on just going to the memorial but it was so beautiful that I had to come back the next day to the museum. While at the memorial a ranger came out and gave us a bit of history on the memorial, museum, and some facts about the bombing. I recommend everyone visiting at least once.

Garden
The Philbrook Museum of Art is housed in a stunning Italian Renaissance-style mansion surrounded by 25 acres of beautiful gardens, making it a unique and picturesque destination in Oklahoma. The museum boasts an extensive collection of over 16,000 American, Native American, and European art and objects. In addition to its main location, the museum also has a satellite facility called Philbrook Downtown, which opened in 2013 and focuses on Modern and contemporary art as well as Native American art.
Come to visit as I had been very intrigued in the art pieces. I had to come and take a look for myself. I was not disappointed from the inside the atmosphere was very inviting and everything was very well organized. The ambiance and timeless pieces were picturesque. I absolutely enjoyed looking at all the modern pieces. And let’s not talk about the outdoors wow. Absolutely magical. The scenery and the tranquility that exudes in this whimsical garden is something worth coming for. The lush and perfectly manicured gardens with the peaceful sound of the fountains I almost didn’t want to leave. The Gardens were a special treat to walk around and enjoy some peace and tranquility. I absolutely recommend visiting Phil brook art museum if you’re in the area.

This is a grand mansion art museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The grounds are inspiring! My favorite is the swing under the giant oak tree. The sun streaming in my face through the leaves was memorable. The art is interesting to view while having a relaxed visit. We bought some goodies in the gift shop. We ate before arriving, but there is a cute little cafe for lunch.

This was an absolutely beautiful museum and garden. I spent about 4 hours wandering around looking at all the paintings and gardens. There are many areas you can have a picnic or relax and there’s something for everyone.

The art and temporary exhibits are great. My favorites are the mansion and the amazing gardens. The gardens are beautiful in spring and summer, but are great in fall and winter too. The staff plants over 22,000 bulbs every year.

Absolutely stunning building, the museum alone is a stunning structure that houses a lot of different art styles and even their garden is a stunning exhibit of art and beauty. Absolutely worth coming and spending a couple of hours here, well worth the drive. Staff were super friendly and plenty of signage and very clean.

History museum
The Walmart Museum in Bentonville, the birthplace of the Walmart chain, is currently closed for renovations until spring 2024. However, visitors can still explore the Walmart Museum Heritage Lab to learn about the history of Walmart and the Walton family. The lab features original exhibits like the Wall of Returns and History of Uniforms, as well as previews of upcoming exhibits.
I wanted to drive by to take a couple exterior pictures but decided to stop and go in. I'm glad I did because this place is really cool. The gift shop has a lot of neat items. The museum itself is very detailed and has a lot of artiftacts from through out the years. Plus, admission is free.
Fettman1176 — Google review
The museum was very well put together. They take a whole journey back in time. Never realizing how much Walmart had an effect in our lives.. One thing that I enjoy the most was the customer complaint wall. Make sure you read it because it’ll give you some really good laughs.
Csterling 1 — Google review
They remodeled it, and it's completely different inside. The layout is better. I visited before the change, and I also saw the temporary location during the renovation. The outside looks the same. They just rebuilt it. They have Sam Walton's truck parked outside (which I'm guessing is a replica because there's another one inside). We especially enjoyed the LEGO display and the sticker printers, although I do miss the name tag one they used to have. The museum is free. There's a gift shop. It's free to get a pressed penny, but the engraving comes out way off most times. There are two stories now. There's a restroom on both of them. The stairway to the second floor is cool itself. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
Weston K — Google review
Very well worth it! Lots of interesting info & the museum part was put together with much thought & excellence. Hands-on things to do for kids (or all) & interactive components added to the experience. Don't skip the interactive AI hologram room with Sam Walton. You can ask him questions & he will answer. This is a must-do if you visit Bentonville!!!
Melissa H — Google review
I really enjoyed visiting the Walmart Museum in Bentonville. It’s fascinating to see how Walmart began as a small store and grew into a global company. The exhibits are simple, informative, and give a nice glimpse into Sam Walton’s life and vision. The restored Walton’s 5&10 store adds a nostalgic charm, and the Spark Café next door is a perfect spot to relax with some ice cream after exploring. A great little stop if you’re in downtown Bentonville!
Vipila B — Google review
Fun museum of how Sam Walton changed how America and eventually the world shopped. A real American dream story! Proud you can be a born American and still have the American Dream with a lot of hard work. The interactive holographic image of Mr Walton was amazing!
Sharon H — Google review
This is a great museum, telling the story of an American entrepreneur who fulfilled the American dream. The two highlights for me were seeing his office as he left it and seeing his truck with the treasures that he left in it. It’s also interesting seeing the different decades of products I sold at Walmart. This is very well done. It tells the beginning story of Walmart and leaves politics completely out of it. This is a must see if you’re in the area.
Dr. R — Google review
This was a really fun spot. Not too big, but nicely done history. Some neat features such as Sam Walton's office, his Ford F-150, and a holographic version of the man himself. A nice trip down memory lane with displays featuring products from each decade as well as the associate uniform.

Museums
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a renowned art collection housed in a striking structure set on 120 lush acres. The museum features works from artists like Rockwell and Warhol. It is located near various attractions such as the John Q. Hammons/Rogers Convention Center, Arkansas World Trade Center, and the University of Arkansas Campus. Additionally, it hosts popular annual events like Bikes, Blues & BBQ Motorcycle Rally and War Eagle Craft Fair.
Crystal Bridges Museum is an absolute gem, both for the art and the experience! The galleries are stunning and thoughtfully curated, with a perfect mix of classic and contemporary pieces. But beyond the exhibits, the entire visit was just smooth and enjoyable. Parking was incredibly easy, plenty of space and just a short walk to the entrance, which is a big win when you’re visiting with a kid. Speaking of which, we stopped by the on-site restaurant and I was genuinely impressed. I had a hamburger that hit the spot, juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My kid devoured the chicken fingers, and I may or may not have stolen a few bites. They were crispy and delicious, perfect for little hands. Overall, it’s a place where you can enjoy world class art, good food, and a family-friendly environment without any stress. Highly recommend!

Such an amazing experience that you have here! The art and sculptures on display are super interesting and unique. This is truly an experience like no other! Fun for all ages. Loved the outdoor walking trails. Not too busy either for a Saturday!

The museum is beautiful and the only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is due to the challenge of finding a parking space and bc I didnt actually enter the museum, so I can't review what I haven't experienced. I saw the outdoor flower (art work, not natural flowers) exhibit by the Asian artist (I think Japanese), Oct. 2025. I highly recommend it and will go back since I am from and live in Little Rock, AR, and it's only about three hours away.

What an incredible museum! The architecture and layout are absolutely stunning, and the art collection is top-notch — such a cool mix of classic and modern pieces. We really enjoyed exploring the surrounding trails too; they’re beautiful and well-maintained, with great views of the museum and nature. I’d definitely recommend visiting on a cooler day though, as there’s not a lot of shade on the paths. Overall, a must-see stop in Bentonville!
BradandJen M — Google review
The buildings and grounds are amazing. The art exhibits not so much. While the museum is free there may be a charge for certain exhibits. The Frank Lloyd Wright house is free but you must get a ticket for a time slot. This information is not readily apparent. The place could definitely use more signage. Did not know you had to take an elevator down 3 levels to get to the entrance. People were wandering around trying to figure out how to get in. There was no sign. If and when you do make it to the entrance lobby be sure to get maps of the museum AND the trails.

Amazing, beautiful, interesting, provocative, unique, FREE! This place lives up to hype and is a MUST in B'Ville! Absolutely worth a vist and few hours! Fantastic for ALL ages and interests. The Frank Lloyd Wright house is monumental find and addition to and an already INCREDIBLE MUSEUM! Also, the outdoor, walking Trail/Art Installation is pretty accessible for folks and so nicely done. Next time we visit, I want to do the Night Walk when the light up the trail, likely making it more fabulous. Oh, and there are REAL Crystals on the trail..no kidding!

I had heard about this museum for years and wanted to go back to the place where I went to college and see this outstanding collection of art. The grounds are so extraordinary, the collection of art is a magnificent curation of American artists with many women and immigrant artists on display. The food was excellent too!

Crystal Bridges Museum is a stunning destination for art and architecture lovers alike. Nestled in a lush natural setting, the museum’s multiple buildings are beautifully designed with outdoor water features and scenic walking paths connecting the spaces. I enjoyed the multi-floor layout for interest (elevators available throughout the entire museum for accessibility.) The permanent collection is impressive, and free to the public. During my visit, the temporary exhibit (Maws) was $15. The museum’s growing collection is thoughtfully curated and beautifully displayed, showcasing both classic and contemporary works.

Crater of Diamonds State Park is a distinctive geological attraction situated on more than 37 acres of land. It offers visitors the opportunity to search for diamonds, rocks and minerals in a thrilling treasure hunt experience. The park also boasts a well-maintained campground with access to excellent shower facilities and picturesque walking trails leading to nearby rivers. Although camping fees may be considered expensive at $42 per night, overall, Crater of Diamonds State Park is an enjoyable destination worth visiting again in the future.
This was my first trip to Arkansas and it was a great one... Love the walking trails and there's so much information in the visitors center on site. You can go look around at the Diamond Mine without paying the $15.00 entry fee... They only charge if you are planning to dig... An awesome gift shop with really decent prices all around... Got most of my souvenirs from that one spot... If you are ever in Murfreesboro Arkansas you need to make a trip thru here you won't be disappointed....

We came to look for diamonds and stayed in the park's campground for one night. Spent 4 hrs playing in the dirt. Found no diamonds but had a great time. Campground was very handy. Full hookup, leveled sites and fair priced. Checkout time is 4 pm so plenty of time to wash up and depart. We would do it again if passing through. Great experience for the whole family.

Great place to take the family! Finding a diamond is a lot harder than you'd think. We had fun finding interesting rocks to take home. It was very hot and there is some shade, but I suggest you bring a large umbrella and a cooler. The staff was super nice and very informative. You can bring your own tools and sifters or you can rent or buy them there. We had a good time!

I visited the weekend of 11/7/2025 to 11/10/2025 with a Cub Scout Pack. The camping area was fantastic, the hiking trail was well maintained and the facilities were outstanding. The staff that booked our weekend worked with us as we wanted our entire group of 15 families close to one another, and they made it happen, for that I am very grateful. We took about 30 youth to the mining field Saturday morning and they were given a brief history on the park along with a Mining 101 course led by Park Interpreter Emma O’Neal, who did an absolutely fantastic job. The kids loved her presentation, she was very knowledgeable and professional. The biggest take away for me was her ability to talk to the kids in a way they would understand. The park has a fantastic interpreter in Emma. She definitely gave the kids motivation to be able to go out to the field and search for diamonds. This location will definitely be on our list to return to in the future.

The staff were very informative and knowledgeable. They were kind and considerate. The park was clean and in good condition. Wish we had gone to the interpretive program on mining 101! Bring a bucket and getting a wagon was a great choice. We wish we had planned better by having rain jackets during the rain and more hydrating drinks but that was on us ha can’t wait to go back!!! Best anniversary place we have gone 💚🎉

Wonderful campground with plenty of room for tent areas and RV's with electricity and water. We tent camped at a walk in site that shared water and trash bins, no electricity. It was designed so nice! And, we watched a deer leisured through the woods. Crater of Diamonds field was huge. Plenty of areas to dig and wash your finds. Videos to watch and helpful staff. Gift shop and a museum, interesting fact boards of the history of big diamonds are place throughout the areas, too.
Jackie K — Google review
We came in through LIT airport and chose our hotel roughly 50 miles away from the Diamonds State Park. We opted to be there when the park opens in the morning which was a great choice - less people, easier picking for a spot to start and comfortable to „work“ outside. I recommend to order the admission ticket ahead of time and online. Our group had a lot of fun and looking for the „one“ is much more challenging as it might seem. There are helpful posters and areas to learn more about the prospecting. The staff here is friendly and helpful, the entry fee and loaner fees for equipment to dig for fame are reasonable. Knowing how this all works now, we will be back at some point.
Tom H — Google review
Still a great experience, even if you don't find anything! Early October is still hot but not very busy. Very friendly staff. Camp grounds was AMAZING. Wi-Fi, private showers with warm water, outlets, water fountains with water bottle fill up, well maintained and cleaned.

Nestled in the woods, Thorncrown Chapel is a stunning piece of architecture made of wood and glass with 425 windows. It serves as a non-denominational worship center and a popular wedding venue. Inspired by one of Frank Lloyd Wright's students, it has been recognized as one of the most beautiful churches in America. The chapel welcomes visitors to admire its design and offers a spiritual experience. Eureka Springs also boasts other attractions such as St.
Absolutely breathtaking! Thorncrown Chapel is a hidden gem tucked into the woods near Eureka Springs. The architecture is stunning—walls of glass and intricate wooden beams that let the forest light shine through in the most peaceful way. It’s incredibly serene, perfect for quiet reflection or just admiring the blend of nature and design. Free to visit (donations welcome), and the short walk from the parking area just adds to the peaceful vibe. A must-see if you’re anywhere near the area!

Thorncrown Chapel is a truly magical and peaceful place nestled in the heart of nature. We visited on a Sunday and arrived during a prayer service. They kindly asked us to remain silent until the service concluded, which we appreciated as it maintained the sacred atmosphere. After the service, we were welcomed inside, given an envelope, and told about the chapel’s fascinating architecture and the vision behind its creation. The setting is incredibly serene sitting quietly inside or around the chapel feels like your soul is connecting with nature and peace. If you’re seeking spiritual calm or simply a beautiful place to reflect, this is it. A quick note: restrooms are located down the path. Also, across from the parking lot on the left side, there’s another small chapel-like structure, but it’s closed to the public best not to try accessing it as it’s chained off. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Eureka Springs a perfect blend of spiritual peace, nature, and inspiring architecture

Thorncrown Chapel is one of the most stunning and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. It’s gorgeous and ever so magical. Designed by E. Fay Jones, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, the chapel is an architectural masterpiece that blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings. With over 6,000 square feet of crystal clear glass and a soaring wooden frame, it feels as if the forest is part of the structure itself. The way the light filters through the trees and into the chapel creates a calm, almost spiritual atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting for quiet reflection, appreciation of architecture, or just to enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks, it’s an unforgettable experience. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully maintained, Thorncrown Chapel is truly a must-see in Eureka Springs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Masterpiece in the Woods We stopped at Thorncrown Chapel during our road trip from Texas to New York, and WOW - what an unexpected gem! This place is absolutely breathtaking. The chapel itself is a work of art - nestled right in the middle of the forest with floor-to-ceiling pristine glass walls that make you feel like you’re worshipping among the trees. The way the natural light filters through the towering windows and mingles with the surrounding Ozark forest is nothing short of magical. The architecture is stunning yet humble, and the peaceful atmosphere is exactly what we needed before our big European adventure. Whether you’re religious or not, this space has a way of making you pause and appreciate the beauty around you. It’s the perfect blend of human craftsmanship and nature. If you’re anywhere near Eureka Springs, this is an absolute MUST-SEE. We’re so glad we made the detour - it was hands down one of the most beautiful and serene places we’ve ever visited. Already recommending it to everyone we know!

Thorncrown Chapel is absolutely breathtaking! The architecture blends perfectly with the surrounding forest, creating such a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Stepping inside feels almost magical, with the light streaming through the glass and the trees all around you. It’s an experience that’s hard to put into words but definitely worth it. A must-see if you’re anywhere near Eureka Springs!

Thorncrown Chapel! It was an absolutely amazing structure to see! It was designed by E. Fay Jones, who was an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright. It opened in 1980 and has over 6000 ft.² of glass covering 425 individual windows. From April to October they hold two church services every Sunday morning - unfortunately, we weren’t in town for that, but we decided it would be very hard to pay attention to the message – we would be looking around and out the windows the whole time! Ha! Note that Thorncrown is also very accessible to people with mobility issues. It’s a very short walk from a nice parking area to Thorncrown on a nice, stone paved pathway. It was definitely wot a visit if you’re in the area! Heck, what am I saying – we plan a whole road trip just to come see Thorncrown!

A must see. It is free admission and is a beautiful work of art. The serenity of the inside makes you want to linger. The beautiful fall colors on display now is definitely an added bonus!

As a destination wedding photographer based in Puerto Rico, I recently had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Thorncrown Chapel, and I can genuinely say it’s one of the most breathtaking venues I’ve ever worked in. The chapel itself feels like a hidden gem tucked inside the Ozark woods—completely surrounded by trees, flooded with natural light, and built almost entirely of glass. It creates an atmosphere that is peaceful, intimate, and visually stunning from every angle. For couples planning a destination wedding, this venue is incredibly special: the architecture merges perfectly with nature, giving you a ceremony space that looks cinematic and timeless without needing extra décor. As a photographer, I was blown away by how beautifully the light moved through the space, creating soft, clean tones and symmetry that made every photo feel editorial. The surrounding forest, the walkway leading to the chapel, and the reflections on the exterior glass all offer endless opportunities for stunning portraits. Not only is the venue gorgeous, but the overall experience is serene, intentional, and perfect for couples who want something unique and unforgettable. If you're considering a destination wedding in the U.S., Thorncrown Chapel is absolutely worth traveling for, and I would be honored to capture more love stories in this magical place.

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a 450-acre facility that provides a safe haven for abandoned and rescued lions, tigers, and other big cats. Visitors can enjoy tours of the refuge while also learning about these magnificent creatures through educational talks. The unique design of the refuge allows visitors to observe the animals from various angles, including an open-air tram ride around the habitats and walking down the center of the sanctuary.
Incredible! This is such an amazing organization that allows you to support them by staying there! We had a wonderful stay in the tree house. The views were stellar and we would have coffee(provided) and muffins(also provided) on the deck overlooking a forest and to the sounds of the big cats calling to each other. This is an experience like none other!

This place is wonderful I’ve been coming here for years. They have a variety of animals (although obviously mostly big cats) and they will tell you their stories on the free tram ride you get with general admission. It’s a great place for all ages, and not a ton of walking like a zoo would have. The gift shop is also very cute. This place does great things.

Wonderful! The staff was very friendly and informative. Caitlin gave us a behind the scenes tour that was magnificent! The Safari lodges are awesome! The lady who decorated them made sure there is absolutely nothing that you want for. We were fortunate to meet Tanya (the daughter of the couple that started it) while we were eating lunch in town and she is an amazing person. The work they are doing at the refuge is definitely God's work. They have saved so many animals from horrible conditions and existences. I would I highly recommend supporting them and enjoying the experience.

We came one morning during a trip to Arkansas and it was so worth it! The sanctuary is amazing for what they do in truly rescuing wild animals and not forcing them to be entertainment to the public. They choose to either be in their shelter or out in the public. They are accommodated to according to their needs and do not receive human touch. The tour is amazing in telling each of their individual stories. The animals appeared relaxed and well nourished. They are truly cared for as they should be in being animals previously held in captivity.

We visited this place while in Eureka Springs, Ark. Adults $35, seniors $25. Entry will get you a paved pathway through various pens with rescued animals, mostly cats, but also bears. Not all are visible as they get to live their lives, but most are. Then at you get an open air tram ride around the facility while a guide describes the animals, their stories, and how they came to be there. Some of these cats were rescued from the Tiger Kings cats. Then you can exit thru the gift shop. There are very nice restrooms and bench seating around the walkways. I really enjoyed the tour.

Turpentine Creek is by far our favorite place to camp when we visit Eureka Springs!! The RV park is well maintained and provides 50 amp service and good water pressure. The views of the surrounding area is spectacular and listening to the lions caroling from your campsite makes your stay an unforgettable experience. The tour guides are all outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. They answer any questions you might have and provide invaluable information about the history of TCWR and the residents who have been rescued. Staying onsite is an experience you won’t soon forget whether you choose their lodging or bring your own RV! Highly recommend a visit!!

My husband and I stayed/visited Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in the Siberian suite last month (Oct 2025) for 2 nights. Words alone cannot express how amazing TCWR is. The care they give to every single animal and the rescue stories are heartwarming. You can truly see how much the animals are loved, and the love the animals give back. The tigers chuff to the animal care staff. (A tiger chuff is a sign of affection and contentment). The animals romp and play, roll around their habitats, and just love their rescued lives. Being in the Siberian suite next to and being able to see Joey Tiger walk and play in her habitat was an amazing experience. She even "talked" to us when we spoke to her by giving gentle moos. Hearing the lions carol throughout the refuge, especially at night gave a sense of calmness. We booked the Carnivore Caravan tour and ended up being the only ones on the tour, and we got a personal private tour by Mary. She was so informative, stopped many times so we could take pictures. I loved seeing all my favorites; which are way too many to list. Seeing how the vet hospital runs was in itself amazing, and we saw keeper Jade and another keeper preparing charts, but of course didn't interrupt their work. A huge shout out to Janell (lodging manager) and David (lodging) for our amazing stay. I personally spoke with Janell and she was so nice and accommodating, and David was the staff member that made sure the suite was spotless, brought extra towels and conditioner when I requested them. He also decorated it when my stepdaughter contacted the refuge and purchased a birthday package, as this trip was in celebration of my 60th birthday. Oh and I cannot forget to mention the new rescued lions from Canada. We were fortunate we got to see them about a week after they got to TCWR. Nirvana is such a great mom to her cubs Archie and Reggie, and seeing her actually be able to bring up the cubs, not have the cubs taken away, as what happens with roadside zoos was do sweet to see. These cubs will only know sanctuary life, all thanks to Turpentine Creek. If you are reading this review and thinking of visiting, you absolutely MUST. You will not be disappointed. Thank you TCWR for everything, not only for our stay, but for all you do to give the best care for these amazing and beautiful animals.

Water & Amusement Parks
Leafy theme park with rides & waterslides, plus demos of basket weaving & other old-timey pursuits.
We love Silver Dollar City and have season passes every year. The park is beautiful, clean, we'll maintained, beautifully landscaped and has many festivals and events. This trip is during the Fall Harvest Festival. They also have great entertainment, yummy food, shops, craftsman to watch, fun rides and a beautiful cave to tour that is included. The fall and Christmas lights are totally out of this world and their stage presentation of A Christmas Carol during Christmas is right at Broadway quality. But I must say, they definitely have something for every season!

Beautiful at Christmas time. Although, it isn't like it was in the early 80s, it's still great family fun. We really enjoyed the musical, A Christmas Carol. The actors are phenomenal! The prime rib buffet was excellent. We were there on a Friday and Saturday. It was very crowded but both days went very smoothly.

We went last week for my birthday.. I took 2 kids (11 &2). I was really looking forward to the children's part for them, unfortunately it wasn't open. Any of it. None of the rides nor the fire station. And that wasn't posted online anywhere that I could see.. I almost feel like I wasted my $$. I really wanted to see the pumpkins and let them ride those rides all day. The pumpkins were a nice decoration fun especially at night.. But in a back corner there are 3 small rides they rode for a few hours. I guess next time I will call to make sure the specific part of the park I wanted to see was open. And I agree w it could have been more clean. No one was cleaning anything and the bathrooms were also not very clean. Bugs flying around the drink stations and food areas. Which it's outside but still.. we will go again for Xmas and call and make sure that part is open!

Silver Dollar City is so festive and fun! This was our first time visiting, and we very much enjoyed ourselves. The Christmas decor was already set up, making for a nice start to the holidays. Live music and demos. Family-friendly rides. Cute shops and other attractions. So magical!

Have and have had season tickets for several years. Always get the Blazer pass since I love roller coasters and SDC normal does them well. Was here today and two of the main ones were down. It happens, so be prepared for that eventuality. Lots of parking with shuttles running constantly. Can get paid parking which is a little closer, but with the shuttles it's kinda redundant. They keep adding new attractions and features. Highly decorated for the fall season. Love watching the craftsman make their wares for sale. A combination of numerous items, metal, wood, furs, pottery, food to view and/or purchase. My only complaint is the cost of the food and drinks. Be prepared to spend a good sum to eat and drink. You can bring in your own.

Our first trip to Silver Dollar City and it was great! We enjoyed the holiday buffet upon arrival and happy a great day walking and taking in the park. When it got dark and the park lit up, it was magical, like nothing I have seen before. Absolutely beautiful! The lighting of the tree and parade were so fun!

Silver Dollar City is one of the best places to spend a day in the Ozarks. It has a charm that feels real, not manufactured, and the park is always spotless and well-run. The staff are friendly and seem to genuinely care about making sure everyone has a good time. The rides are fun and well-kept, and there’s a good balance between excitement and relaxation. You can go from riding a coaster to watching a craftsman at work or catching a live show. The food is excellent, especially the skillet meals and the warm cinnamon bread that everyone talks about. It’s the kind of place that never loses its appeal. Whether you’re going for the rides, the food, or just to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere, Silver Dollar City always delivers a memorable experience.

The TITANIC Museum Attraction offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and immerse yourself in the experience of being aboard the iconic ship. With hundreds of artifacts from the original Titanic, visitors can take a self-guided tour through the hallways, parlors, cabins, and Grand Staircase while learning about the ship's history.
Very nice and educational tour, 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Wear a sweater as Air conditioned. Alot to see and read. On line app to hear narrative on your phone. Also staff explained details. Everyone receives a boarding pass with details of a passenger aboard as first class, second class or third. Memorial wall of those that lived and died. Would recommend seeing.
Kathy G — Google review
Nice museum with lots to read and learn. All of the staff was kind and in character which made it more fun. We spent about an 1.5 hours. There is a free audio tour, chance to dip your hands in frozen water, and climb what the deck felt like as the boat sank. Plenty of photos, videos, and interactive trivia for kids. The price is expensive but its a tourist town, what does everyone expect?
Heather F — Google review
Location and parking are good. There’s a Walgreens across the street if you need it. Complaints Buying your ticket in advance you must wait in the same line as if you hadn’t. The lobby area is super loud and someone shouts instructions every ~ 15-30 mins? Entry doesn’t seem to be staggered and there are far too many people per group to really be able to see anything. Since most people are pretty inconsiderate. Not many staff giving stories/details. The person who takes your souvenir photo takes it before you pose. Doesn’t check it or retake it when your eyes are closed. Pictures are printed and shoved at you for $46 - even when your eyes are closed bc the person taking pics of didn’t tell you or check ? lol. You’re “welcome” to go back and retake but it’s kind of a lot to go back the way you came out. The app is out of order for some exhibits. Also the exhibits have numbers and things that don’t work any longer. Think for the price paid the exhibits could be maintained better. Praise Someone was monitoring and stopping the bottleneckers taking pictures. The Titanic is a very interesting story Dog details are sweet Staff we interacted with outside of the photos was great.

8/9/25 Came today with my group of family around 10:30am. I highly recommend attending this attraction. Worth the price, informative with amazing staff. Everyone was so pleasant. Made the experience more fun. Definitely stop by the gift shop.
Shi C — Google review
We thought the tickets were a bit too much (about $50/person after fees/taxes) which made half my group back out. It was more expensive than quite a few of the shows we went to. The few of us who did visit thought it was a nice museum. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. One of our party was in a wheelchair and they helped us get around with no complaints. At the start, they give you a card with a passenger's name and at the end you see if "you" lived or died. My whole group got siblings, so we were pretty invested in their survival from the jump. It was a wonderful touch. All the exhibits were well cared for and contained little info cards, so a bit of reading was required, though the text wasn't too much. They also provided audio tour guide devices. I would love to go again, as it was extremely crowded and I felt a little rushed through sections due to the flow of people, but I'm not sure I could justify another $50 to do it. Hopefully there's tickets on sale somewhere next time I'm in town.
Linda — Google review
Felt like first class as soon as we walked in the door. Staff was super knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Can not wait to visit again when we are in town. Definitely recommend going at least once.
Rachelle D — Google review
The museum has lots of artifacts and loads of information covering the history of the Titanic. Unfortunately, our experience seemed rushed. There were a lot of people let in all at once that made us feel like we were holding up others. I personally would have appreciated a guided tour providing tidbits of interesting information rather than having to stop and read about it myself. Unless you have a way to get discounted entrance fees, or if you have a diehard interest in the Titanic, I would not recommend paying full price to see this museum.
Kayla W — Google review
Such a fun experience! Each person is given a passenger profile and at the end you learn if yours survived or perished. No pictures allowed in the first floor but they were allowed in the second floor of the tour. There was a download options with audio to listen to during your tour. First floor had artifacts and the second floor had more interactive experiences. On the second floor you could ask a crew member about your passenger to learn more about them. You also got to see the last few remaining life vest, spin the steering wheel, learn about the boat, take a picture, touch the cold water temps, try to stand on the deck at different angles of the boat while it sank, and lastly learn if your passenger survived.

Sight & Sound Theatres offers immersive live theater experiences that bring Bible stories to life in elaborate productions. It has become a classic attraction in Branson, with new shows every year based on well-known tales such as Noah, Moses, and Queen Esther. Unlike other theaters in the area, Sight & Sound Theatres stands out for its grand scale and captivating performances.
Just saw the David show this evening, the amount of love and creativity poured into this show was astounding! It really felt like everyone involved genuinely love the Lord. At the end of the show, they asked if anyone needed prayer. I thought that was a beautiful thing. Would HIGHLY recommend
Liz G — Google review
There just aren't enough or proper words to describe how phenomenal this venue/show is! The theatre itself is gorgeous; lush and so well appointed. Staff are tremendous. Happy, helpful, caring. David, the show itself is a feast for all senses. The sets, costumes, lighting, all exceptional. Actors (even the non-speaking ones 😉) we so amazing! Songs were beautiful and the giving of the Gospel at the end made the whole experience just perfect. I will definitely be back!
Shelly M — Google review
The most beautiful theater in Branson, MO! We came for "David" and we're immersed in a awesome live theater experience that included live animals. It was a 2-hour stage performance the left you wanting more after every scene. The stage is unique in that it's 3-sided. In several scenes you feel as though you're part of the spectacular evolving around you. If you're in Branson, be sure to book a show at the Sight & Sound Theater. Spoiler Alert! Don't wait to get your tickets. Shows sell out quickly. We had to wait 4 days to find 4 tickets together. We got lucky and found 4vseats on the final nigh of our stay near the back of the theater. They were still good seats though. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and Highly recommended!
Steve O — Google review
Pure magic. I have been to a lot of performances, but nothing compares. The actors/ singers are incredible, but that is just part of the magic. The theater uses a full 180° plus the aisle as the stage. The sets include a 3d holographic matrix to provide full immersion. The story was powerful and well delivered. Well worth the trip, and worth repeating!
Scott P — Google review
We watched David, it was grand! There was hand food sold in the inside like nachos, almonds, hotdogs, and more. The seating was packed and we got seats last minute. That said, I would NOT recommend the first 1-3 rows!!! You cannot see over the stage if you have children and fog will be in you face the entire time. I did enjoy the show and the effort they put into everything.
Jeremy B — Google review
The props and sets were wonderful. It's awesome that you don't have to fight sound booth, polls or screens to see. It smells like animals in there, but the fresh roasted Almonds help with that. I enjoyed it.

Going to Sight and Sound is always special. Took our GGdaughter. Her first trip there. She loved it, she is 7 and loves music. The show was just amazing. Thank you for providing what we can take a child to see.🙏🏻

God is so good! Sight & Sound puts on an awe-inspiring performance every time! We've been to Branson over the years and have seen Samson, Noah, Jesus, Queen Esther, and David. Some we've seen twice and all were perfect! This time was a little different in that no one scanned our ticket, we simply walked in...just seemed odd. We will return! Photo is from yesterday, November 8, 2025.

The Fordyce Bathhouse Visitor Center and Museum is a grand 1910 bathhouse that has been transformed into a museum, featuring stained glass and marble. It offers exhibits and films about the baths, providing visitors with a glimpse into its operation from 1915 to 1962. The museum showcases the luxurious spa treatments and entertainment that were once enjoyed in this architectural marvel.
One of the best National park visitor centers I’ve been to! It hosts a 4 floor exhibit full of information for FREE! It also includes a 14 minute short fill which plays every half hour (I highly recommend it was super interesting and funny)! Make sure you make it to the basement which shows the water pumps and the hot spring! The center closes at 5, however the top 2 floors close at 4:45 so plan accordingly!

there is absolutely no set parking for the national park or visitor center and museum. just have to drive around and find a spot along the street or in one of the few pay for parking lots. i didn’t find the museum to be very interesting but it was well done and had a beautiful interior and exterior. bathhouse row was neat to walk by but couldn’t imagine myself spending more than the 30 minutes we did in the museum. it was free entry so if you’re in the area and looking for something to do it’s an cool place to stop but definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.
Alyssa W — Google review
If you're visiting from out of town, this is one of those places to check out. It offers some history and gives you an insight of how bathhouses ran. Admission was free as my family took a self guided tour. After finishing the tour we even got a nice presentation from park ranger James Byrd. He gave us information about the types of local birds and ended up by giving my kid an activity to work on. There weren't other people who attended his presentation (which was a bit sad), but my family took the opportunity to learn one on one. Overall it's something to check off when you're visiting the area.

My family and I enjoyed stepping back in time and experiencing this beautiful bathhouse in all its splendor. We found it interesting in learning more about the early beginnings of physical therapy and the fascination that many had with what the restorative springs could offer them. It kind of reminded me of the movie “The Road to Wellville.” Definitely needs to be on the bucket list of unique and obscure places to visit if you’re interested in medical oddities.
Laura — Google review
It doesn't cost. When you walk in. Don't be alarmed. It has security guards. They have cute little badges. Its okay. They are there to give you information. This is kinda weird. It is a visitor building. 3 floors of history for the bath house. Truly it seemed like this could've been a horror movie. It's clean, but knowing what it was and the diseases they had. I didn't touch anything. THE tile and stain glass work is truly amazing. There's abundance of history. They have an elevator or you can climb the steep stairs. On the second level is a trivia room and a movie that plays every 20 minutes about the history of the baths. Anyway its really neatand everyone should do it. I dont think kids should go. They like to touch everything. They wouldn't understand it.

A beautiful look back into the history in Hot Springs. Take some time to walk through the Fordyce Bathhouse whether you do your own self-guided tour, a phone guided tour they offer, or even a tour led by one of the Rangers. I loved all of the stained glass and preserved details of the bathhouse.
Faith M — Google review
Amazing experience! Felt like being in a time warp. Great information and history made you feel like you were there 100 years ago. Will definitely visit again. Don't forget to go the the third floor to see the gymnasium!

Time Capsule! The Fordyce, one of the eight historic bathhouses on Bathhouse Row, is now a visitor center and museum of Hot Springs National Park. We took a self-guided tour of this four-story building, exploring different rooms and displays. The building has undergone substantial restoration to preserve its original appearance as a bathhouse, complete with marble flooring, stained-glass windows, a gymnasium, and numerous bathing rooms. We learnt the science underlying the thermal springs, the evolution of bathing practices in Hot Springs and different medical terminologies associated with this place. Our visit was deeply engaging and impressive.

The William J. Clinton Library and Museum in Little Rock offers a fascinating look into the life and presidency of Bill Clinton. The museum spans three floors and features a wide array of exhibits, including documents, photographs, and artifacts from his time in office. Visitors can explore replicas of the Oval Office and Cabinet Room, as well as displays showcasing daily life at the White House. Additionally, the museum is set within a 30-acre park, providing a scenic backdrop for visitors to enjoy.
In May 2025, we visited the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Clinton Library is impressive. The displays are amazing and it is clean and well laid out. Even though I do not agree with many of Clinton's politics, I left having more respect for Clinton and what he accomplished as a US President. I highly recommend visiting the Clinton Presidential Library.

Amazing museum - a must see for anyone in the area. They've done a really nice job at bringing the story to life and you really get to relive the era in your mind. The exhibits are really well done and very detailed. The staff is super friendly, warm and welcoming. The cabinet room is a favorite as well as the oval office of course. I brought the kids (under 10) and they had enough to keep entertained for a few hours while I walked down memory lane.

We LOVED this museum! We didn’t have any expectations— just knew we wanted to go and check it out. Well lucky for us, we were blown away. The architecture and intention behind the building’s design was just as amazing as the exhibits inside. The best part was our tour guide, Mark, who was so friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about the building and US History. He truly made our visit extra special and memorable! The second best part was the portrait gallery! The art work of the Clinton’s was unbelievable! We also loved learning about their pets, Boots and Socks and seeing all of the treasures they were gifted by foreign diplomats. A must see for $12!!

Going back to my home state can be more than just visiting relatives. I had to make time to visit the Clinton Library again. When I visited the first time, it had just opened and my husband didn't get to see it. The library is a fun, educational experience and we both enjoyed our visit. There are exhibits on all three floors and lots of interactive things to do. We visited a special exhibit of portraits first and then went through the rest of the library. The gifts from visiting dignitaries areas are always fun and fascinating. The library covers all aspects of Bill Clinton's life and does a good job of it. Having visited several other presidential libraries, I did find the layout (it was built to be like a bridge to the future) a little confining. But overall it is really great place filled with so much history. There is a restaurant located in the bottom floor of the building, but it was closed the day we visited so we went to lunch nearby. I was told it is best to make a reservation if you want to eat in the restaurant. You can leave and return the same day as long as you keep your ticket.

Well organized displays. Very helpful, friendly, and well informed staff. Loved seeing personal correspondence and photos and other memorabilia. Stunning replica of Oval Office. Cabinet room too. Very reasonable price for admission but a little pricey and regrettable up charge for a photo in the Oval.
Fr. N — Google review
We had a guided tour. Melissa, our tour guide was amazing! She discussed many Clinton Family events at the White House and pointed out lots of memorabilia that we might have missed ourselves. Sabrina, our guide for the oval office provided a lot of interesting points of history regarding the oval office furnishings.
Nancy G — Google review
The library is a powerful memory of the Clinton presidency from 1993 until early 2001. The history lessons transcend political views, making it an interesting visit for anyone. The grounds also offer wonderful scenery and have great walking and running trails.
Michael N — Google review
I walked in expecting a library, shelves of documents, maybe a display case or two. What I found was something else entirely. This isn’t just a collection of papers, it’s a time capsule—an immersive experience into President Clinton’s legacy, decisions, and the era he helped define. My family and I stood there, stunned at what we didn’t know. The exhibits pull you in, not just with facts, but with context and feeling. We sat at the President’s staff table, snapped photos in the replica Oval Office, and found ourselves taking a genuine interest in his life and presidency—something I didn’t expect to happen as deeply as it did. This visit changed our summer plans. Since then, we’ve explored two more presidential libraries, and we’re already mapping out a trail for next year. There is an entry fee, but it’s more than worth it. This place opened a door for us we didn’t know we wanted to walk through.

This celebrated "living" cave system has 3 levels of lighted, paved trails & guided tours.
We enjoyed the tour in the cave. It was fun and educational. I even took my special needs child who uses a wheelchair. You definitely need to be strong on holding it while walking but very manageable. It was a nice family outing. Make sure you purchase tickets online to ensure access upon arrival. There are also exhibits to explore while waiting for the tour as well as a gift shop

Been to caves in Pennsylvania, Virginia and now Arkansas! I'm always amazed at what I see! It's amazing to see all of this space underground and to know how long its been there is even more amazing! My family love finding caves in the areas we go. Definitely recommend checking this cave out!
Vicki F — Google review
Great experience! The drive is interesting; if you have a problem with motion sickness you won’t be happy. Check the tour times before you arrive. The cave closes at 5 pm. It’s a mile hike, steep and slippery. It is NOT for anyone with mobility issues. The gift shop is fine for a wheelchair, but don’t take a wheelchair into the cave. The Forestry Service handles the tours because all of the guides were laid off due to budget cuts.

We've visited several caves and this was by far the most incredible! The part we walked was big and it's the upper part of the cave. There's 4-5 times that much underneath that's a little more challenging and is only offered during Summer. It's a pretty easy cave to walk but there are a few inclines that might get you winded a little but they have great paved paths to walk. I've posted several pics and a video below but as always, pics just can't capture the true beauty and expanse of the cave. I would recommend this as a "must see" and I don't think you'll be disappointed. The drive there is somewhat curvy but it's most definitely worth it. Just give yourself time, slow down and enjoy the beauty all around! ❤️

This was a fun little adventure. We took our two year old in a stroller and it was very manageable. The main cavern is huge! The tour guides were fun and make sure everyone was having a great time!

What a great experience this was! You have to make a reservation now because they are short staffed so they only have a limited number of tours. You start the tour by taking an elevator 200 feet down to the caves. Our guide was very knowledgeable and also funny. He did a great job giving us all the facts but also interspersed some jokes in there to keep us entertained. The caves are soooo cool! Literally. They self regulate the temperature down there to a nice cool 58 degrees. So if you get chilly easily, please take a light jacket. Once you are in, the caves are enormous! The Cathedral Room is the size of 3 football fields! It's hard to take pictures that actually convey how big it actually is! The path is concrete and for the most part easy to walk with some slight elevation and some steps. There are handrails. There are so many interesting facts about these Caverns and we throughly enjoyed our experience! I highly recommend that you go if you are in the area! And if you do go, also go and see Mirror Falls because it is nearby and sooo beautiful!

I do not think pictures will ever give this place justice. I 100% would come back again. Remember to book in advance because there might not be any spots if you just show up. The day we went they were sold out, but I always plan ahead and bought our tickets at least two months in advance. Not sure how fast they sell but I always plan ahead so Im glad I did not miss out this experience. Johnny Cash was my tour guide as he joked at one point. I trully do not remember his name but omg his knowledge and explanation throughout the tour made the experience well rounded. I learned a lot about the cave and he even answered lots of questions. Id say my experience was great because of him. You do go down 245 feet I think in about 1-2 minutes or something like that. Can’t quite remember. Please go and support our national parks! This expericence was worth so much more than what we paid and that was $30 about. Just know coming from Hot Springs this was a trip, lots of turns and no signal! We are from Louisiana, so super different terrain from our flat lands below sea level. Will be coming back for sure!!

It was with the hope of delight that the family and I sought entrance to the Caverns. I felt certain that the marvels of the patient centuries, who use the most subtle of tools to carve their wills into the living stone, would not be lost on my children. Surely the gradients of mineral tone change denoting the purity of the calcite would enthrall and enrapt. We were led into the maw of the caverns by our able guide, Eden. True to her namesake, she was perfect! Park Ranger humor? Check! Expertise at dodging the slings and arrows of unknown political agendas that could sprout from the smallest comment or answer? Check check! Eden was patient, knowledgeable, and kept the science interesting for old kids like myself! We left the Caverns and were herded onto a waiting bus. Blinded by the light and Confounded by the heat we stumbled back to the gift shop. I got a very cool bandana that tells you what to do when you aren't wearing it. Very handy! 5 stars to all! What a time to be alive!
