Oh wow, wow, wow!! What an amazing place to visit for FREE! The staff there were fantastic and so knowledgeable - we spoke to such wonderful and inspirational young marine biologists- i cannot recommend this place enough. The turtles were incredible and the babies were just exceptional. Terrific feeding sessions with excellent commentary from very educated young women. The gift shop was a joy and staff interested in what you had to say. Free parking with access to the Juno Beach were you could see the turtle nests cordoned off and a board telling you how many nests and hatchings for each species. A wonderful few hours spent!!!

Do you want to see baby turtles? Because they have baby turtles! And also adult turtles that are being rehabilitated and they’re all so amazing. The staff is super knowledgeable and told me awesome turtle facts. Totally picked up a super soft shirt and an awesome bucket hat and a cute bracelet. They run on donations so entry is free but a couple of bucks dropped in the box is appreciated.
Caitlin P — Google review
Non-profit so donations accepted but not required. Wonderful work being done at this beautiful facility. Great educational place to visit. Excellent children's exhibits. Knowledge and friendly docente. Nicely stocked gift shop. There's a cafe but we didn't visit.
Mallena U — Google review
What an amazing facility!! You get up close to the turtles and the volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. My wife and I are members other Georgia Sea turtle center and we have been to the Sea turtle hospital in marathon key. This was the last one on our bucket list. We had an amazing time talking to the staff and watching the turtles.

We had a fantastic time visiting the Loggerhead Marinelife Center! It’s an incredible place focused on sea turtle conservation, and you can really see how much care and passion the staff put into their work. The center is well-organized, educational, and fun for both kids and adults. We loved seeing the rescued sea turtles up close and learning about their rehabilitation. The exhibits are interactive and informative without feeling overwhelming. It’s the perfect mix of education and entertainment. It’s also free to visit (donations are encouraged), which makes it an easy stop if you’re in the area. Highly recommend for families or anyone interested in marine life or environmental conservation. A meaningful and memorable experience!

Very nice marine life center. Rescues turtles, jellyfish, sharks and other fish. Excellent for all ages. We spent about 4 hours: did the free presentation, the paid tour, gift shop and lunch. Super interesting!
Bree M — Google review
This place is amazing. They do such good work with the sea life in their care. We went to the early Access Tour and Jen (I think that was her name) did a great job. We were so impressed at her knowledge and the depth of the tour. Please make a donation if you can, as they rely on donations to do all that they do.
Rick D — Google review
This is a marine sanctuary that nurses sick turtles. It has 3 floors - a gift shop, a Cafe, an amphitheater, tanks with fishes, sharks and of course turtles. They have rooms for educational presentations and educational exhibits throughout. It also has a turtle hospital and rehabilitation center. Did I mention free admission? However, they do request a donation and they suggest $10. Here is where you can see turtles, fishes and sharks, up close and personal. Well maintained facility. Free parking. Don't forget to visit the beach in the back where you can see turtle nests and info on how many nests and hatching for each species. Incredible. Really fascinating. I was there 2 hours and I didn't get to see it all. Summary: I cannot recommend this place enough. Great for kids, school field trips or just visiting on your own. You are going to love it. FYI - they survive on donations. Please be generous. Or better yet, Adopt a Turtle. Amount of one time donations, $40, $75, $100 or $250. You will get a gift pack based on your donation that includes Reusable logo bag, a small or large stuffed turtle, a hat, a straw, Sea Turtle Adoption Certificate and a paper framed photo of your adopted Turtle. I adopted Paddles. And so glad I did. I can check her progress online until she is released back to the water. If I return, I can visit and spend time with her. Paddles is an adult turtle with a boat strike. The fracture was stabilized with bone plates. Treating her with antibiotics, pain management, and wound care. Let's pray for her recovery. Visiting this place could possibly change your life or at least get you an adopted Turtle. Miriam C #travelingtheworldwithmiriam #loggerheadmarinelifecenter

CityPlace

Shopping mall
Shopping
CityPlace, situated in downtown West Palm Beach, is an outdoor mall featuring elegant Mission Revival architecture and palm-lined common areas. It's a vibrant area with various residential options catering to young professionals. The ongoing renovations are set to be completed by 2021. This Mediterranean-style shopping destination offers a plethora of shops and dining options, along with Italian-inspired public plazas for relaxation and live entertainment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the snowfalls each evening at scheduled times during the holiday season.
CityPlace in Palm Beach is a charming and beautifully renovated shopping and dining area. It offers a cozy mix of restaurants, boutique apparel stores, and stylish design shops. The landscaping is especially inviting, with lush trees and greenery throughout, and moss elegantly hanging from balconies, giving it a laid-back, upscale vibe. A great place to stroll, grab a bite, and enjoy the atmosphere, day or night. Whether you're window-shopping or meeting friends, the ambiance makes it worth a visit.
Fernando A — Google review
One my most favorite places in West Palm Beach. Urban landscape is designed for gathering and walking with paved streets. Fountain shops and restaurants. It's so beurre and live. Everyone can enjoy this safe family oriented plaza. 😍
Shay — Google review
CityPlace is a wonderful spot for shopping and family time! The location is perfect — everything is within walking distance: Starbucks, cute clothing stores (including kids’ shops), ice cream shops, and great restaurants for every taste. Our kids especially loved the splash area near the “Wishing Tree.” It’s the best place to cool off during the hot Florida days — and in the evening, the tree lights up in beautiful colors. On weekends, there’s live music and fun activities — we were lucky to catch a great band playing while parents relaxed and kids had fun! During our visit, there was also a pumpkin patch — beautifully decorated, even though we caught a bit of rain, the kids didn’t mind at all. Parking is paid (about $11), but the exit is super convenient — right into the plaza with the Wishing Tree and splash area. There’s also a restroom near the parking elevators — always very clean. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back!

Outstanding! I have a ton of food allergies and staff member, Chris, took great care to make sure that I was safe. Chef and the rest of the team put their heads together - and double-checked with me a couple of different times on different things - to make sure that I got a delicious and healthy meal. I will definitely go back again thanks to their amazing service and their concern over my health. Great job, team! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

City Place was such a cute and charming spot! There are so many shops and great restaurants perfect for families to enjoy. The whole area has such a beautiful, aesthetic vibe. Loved everything about it!

I love the happy hour at City Place! The wings are super delicious and service is wonderful. Lots of menu options, and gorgeous decor.

This place is amazingly beautiful and feels like an enchanted park!! The colorful lighting on the trees was a sight to see! (See photos) We had good food and the ambiance was warm and inviting! Definitely visit City Place!

City Place is clean and they seem to be trying to make it more of a destination. The shopping is definitely lacking. There are quite a few restaurants very close options.

Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is a popular family-friendly destination in West Palm Beach, offering a range of activities for kids and adults. The zoo features interactive experiences with rare animals, including otters, tortoises, sloths, and flamingos. Visitors can also explore the rainforest section and enjoy the interactive fountain designed for kids to cool off. Additionally, nearby attractions such as Loggerhead Marinelife Center and Cox Science Center and Aquarium provide further opportunities for animal encounters and educational experiences.
My wife and I visited here (for the first time) on the morning of June 16, 2025. We were en route to nearby John Prince Park Campground (where we couldn't check in until 1:00 pm) and I was towing a small travel trailer with my pickup truck, so we'd already planned to arrive here as soon as they opened at 9:00 am. I was glad we did that because I was able to find and take up two shaded parking spaces under the small solar panel awning near the entrance to their (free) parking lot, and it was not crowded yet. At the ticket booth, the very nice lady who helped us asked if I was former military or a retired first responder, and when I told her I was, she gave me free admission and my wife got a 50% discount on her ticket. The zoo itself is not very big (acreage wise), but it packs a lot of great content into a relatively small package. Just a short walk inside the entrance is a large "splash pad" area (about 200 feet in diameter) for the kids to play in, and it also serves as the center point of the zoo, with each section of the animal displays surrounding it in a spoke-like arrangement. This makes it very easy to navigate the park without the need of a map because you can't get lost here. All of the animals' living areas were super clean and well cared for. The zoo's grounds are also VERY BEAUTIFUL with all kinds of exotic tropical plants and trees that are as nicely groomed and maintained as those found in a botanical garden. The zoo also has quite a nice selection of big cats, monkeys, and other animals from South and Central America, as well as from SE Asia. We have been to about 40 different zoos all over the US and SE Asia, and this one was way up near the top in terms of its cleanliness and easy-to-navigate layout. It only takes about 2-3 hours to see everything. It should definitely be on your MUST DO list if you are visiting the Palm Beach County area of Florida. If you are visiting in the summer months, go early in the morning as soon as they open at 9:00 am to avoid heat exhaustion, because the summer sun and high humidity will get you overheated by noon.

Probably one of the best zoos I have seen! I felt like I was walking through a place built for the animals instead of for human needs. That being said, there was plenty of tree cover as we walked through and what was built for humans was very nice and well-kept (like the bathrooms for example). The person who was feeding the tortoises when we came through was so kind and answered all of my questions about them and even about the tigers next door. We were also grateful to be able to bring our bags and reusable cups in. We had just come off a cruise and were carrying our two backpacks around with us with nowhere else to take them.
Madison L — Google review
We visited the Palm Beach Zoo and Conservation Society and we had such a fantastic time. The animals all looked so well fed, healthy and lovingly cared for. Their habitats are spacious and lush with so many trees and natural elements that make it feel like they can roam freely just as they would in the wild. It was wonderful to see how much attention is given to their wellbeing and environment. We truly enjoyed every moment exploring and seeing the beautiful animals. A memorable and heartwarming experience. Highly recommend for families, animal lovers and anyone looking for a day filled with joy and discovery!
Jehana M — Google review
Took a trip to the Zoo... What a fun day it was. It was a slow day so parking was perfect and free, the Zoo staff were so friendly, you could tell they liked their job. The park is beautiful, and they were getting ready for Zoo lights, which we'll be going back too. We saw almost every animal that the zoo has to offer, was pleasantly surprised, that the areas for the animals were very large, none were in distress. The zoo grounds clean, neet, and beautiful. The information plaques, were better than any other zoo I've been to. We did eat there and that was also good. However we did not do any experiences on this the first trip. Hope you go and have a fun day also.
Jim B — Google review
My daughter had a great time, and there was a nice splash pad for the kids to cool off in. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the restaurant; the food was excellent. The zoo offers a lot of attractions, especially since you can get a closer look at the animals than in a typical zoo. My advice is to buy your tickets online to avoid waiting in long lines and a few bucks cheaper.
Mazinger Z — Google review
We had a little vely afternoon walking through the zoo. Beautiful greenery and habitats, nice variety of birds and animals. Also lovely stone sculptures of animals to view and purchase. I'd recommend buying tickets in advance. There's a general admission, but additional options for more up close experiences can sell out quickly. Parking was easy, maps were easy to follow. Highlights for me were the tigers, sloths, koalas, capybaras, and flamingos. There was a nice cafeteria to enjoy and break up the walking.
Virginia B — Google review
I'm a 70 year old lady, I came by myself on a Friday morning thinking it wouldn't be to crowded. Wrong. They had some kind of school outing with 50 kids or more running, screaming and pushing their way through. Don't get me wrong, I like kids just fine, but in smaller groups. It was so annoying, I had to sit out awhile just to let them all go further away from me, way further. Thats the only reason I took off a star. It was my first time there and I did enjoy it. The zoo is very pretty and the animals weren't hard to see. I recommend going, hopefully you won't have bus loads of kids running you down and over.
Cheryl H — Google review
We visited during the day and went vammbacknfornthe christmas lights in the evening. Lovely zoo and nice to to see some animals grouped together in nice big enclosures. The animals look well cared for and their habitats well maintained and foe the most part appropriate for them. Just found it a bit sad to see the owls in smaller enclosures with not much flight space. The Christmas lights were lovely. The food was nice but this and concessions were pricey as were items in the gift shop for what they were. Overall well worth a visit!

Such a wonderful and mind-bending experience. So grateful that I was able to take a friend for her Mother's Day, to provide her something "out of the ordinary". I'll admit, we were a bit late by a few minutes, but the staff was kind and accommodated us. It's amazing what only 45 minutes can do to open one's mind and soul. Very grateful for this opportunity and awesome experience
Joshua ( — Google review
Sure! Cox Science Center & Aquarium, West Palm Beach I recently visited the Cox Science Center & Aquarium, and it was an action-packed, educational, and overall enjoyable experience—especially for families with children. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when planning your trip. 🌟 Activities & Exhibits The center offers a diverse range of STEM activities—we counted at least nine interactive stations, each designed to spark curiosity and hands-on learning. From making paper airplanes to exploring basic physics and engineering principles, kids were thoroughly engaged. At the end of the STEM circuit, every child received a small gift, which was a lovely touch! One highlight was the live science show titled “It’s Not Magic, It’s Science!”—a fun, crowd-pleasing demonstration that kept both kids and adults entertained while explaining scientific concepts in an accessible way. Inside the facility, you’ll also find: • A NASA-themed station that was both educational and immersive. • A jumping area for kids to burn off energy indoors. • A colorful lollipop corner that was a favorite among younger visitors. • A baby play zone with soft flooring and color balls, perfect for toddlers and infants. • The aquarium section, which featured a variety of fish, turtles, and what appeared to be baby alligators or a similar small reptile species. It was well-maintained and fascinating to observe. Another major attraction was the aircraft simulation area, though it was very crowded and had long wait times. It’s clearly one of the more popular spots, so it might be worth visiting early in the day. 🌊 Outdoor Experience Outside, there’s a splash pad and an open park area, with water misting stations to help guests cool down. However, it was still quite hot, and if you’re visiting during summer months, plan accordingly—sun hats, sunscreen, and hydration are essential. There was also a birthday party happening in the outdoor section, which seemed well-organized and fun. The venue does appear to accommodate such events nicely. ✅ Cleanliness & Security Despite the weekend rush, the facility was very clean and well-maintained. Staff were present at almost every major station—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. We felt safe and secure throughout the entire visit, which is crucial when visiting with small children. ⚠️ Crowds & Timing Weekends tend to get very crowded, which may lead to longer wait times at popular stations (like the flight simulator). If possible, consider visiting on a weekday for a more relaxed experience. The center is clearly a hotspot for families, especially during peak hours. ⸻ 💡 Final Thoughts The Cox Science Center & Aquarium is a fantastic local gem for science-loving families, especially those with kids between 1–10 years old. There’s a solid mix of education, entertainment, and physical activity to keep children engaged for hours. Just be prepared for the heat if you’re spending time outdoors, and expect large weekend crowds. Still, the overall experience was fun, safe, and enriching—we’ll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5)
Tooba.005 S — Google review
I brought my 1 and 2 year old, it was our first time. We had a blast, there's so many fun exhibits to check out. The outdoor area was really cool, their favorite part obviously was the splash pad outside!
Des D — Google review
Can't wait for expansion completion in 2027. Did expect more, but hadca nice day. Really geared to kids, but fun for adults. Good for a rainy day to explore and keep kuds engaged. Found the video flight simulators the most interesting. The puzzles were fun too.
Michele A — Google review
This is a great place for kid and family activities. I went there over the weekend and it’s kind of pricey for adult honestly because there is not much to do. But for kids, it can be very interesting as they have fish tanks on some area in a lot of game and science on another one. They are still under construction, so a lot of other activities are not available at the moment. They have a little kid water splash area, dinosaur, and giant animals sculpture. The science area has a lot of brain teasers and games that both kids and adults can do. I recommend it if you have kids because they have a lot of energy to get out and they will definitely have fun. For adult just go with an open mind and try to enjoy to the best of your ability because you will definitely learn a few things if you’re interested in science, but there is not that much to see. Kids will enjoy 100%
Erma D — Google review
Took my 15 year old and 3 year old here on a Wednesday. No wait time and no lines! I assume because it was a weekday. The kids loved this place! We spent a couple of hours here enjoying all it had to offer. My oldest loved the shark tooth dig, mining area & aircraft simulator. My 3 year old loved the ball play area, aquariums, coloring, lego table & soft play area. I would recommend this place for all ages.
Tanya S — Google review
Nature Center in Delray, Florida, is a delightful destination that combines the wonders of the ocean with the thrill of prehistoric times. The aquarium is its stunning array of tropical fish. Brightly colored and diverse, these fish provide a mesmerizing glimpse into the vibrant ecosystems of coral reefs. The center has an exciting exhibit of animatronic dinosaur replicas. Walking through the exhibit, visitors can learn about the different species, their habitats, and the evolutionary paths of these magnificent beasts. Enjoy!
Liz D — Google review
My family highly recommends visiting the COX center. It’s a really cute and family friendly center for fun and education. We loved their little aquarium and private telescope experience. The front of the building is currently under construction but it’s still work making the visit.

Park
Nature & Parks
DuBois Park in Jupiter, Florida, is a historic site and beachfront park named after pioneer settler Harry DuBois. The park offers a glimpse into the area's past with ancient Indian middens, historic structures, and views of the Loxahatchee River. Visitors can explore the DuBois Pioneer Home and Chickee Chic, a Seminole Indian structure.
Great family park. Slow current, shallow river great for families with small children. The beach is a short walk away with clear, turquoise waters. Lots of pretty seashells for people to pick. We arrived at 9am on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking and picnic tables. We left at 2:30pm and the lot was full. The tide came in by the time we left but the water was still clear and shallow in the river. We had a great time overall!
J R — Google review
It's a great place if you have kids as the waters not very deep on the beach side. If you go under the foot bridge, it does deepen enough, maybe 3 feet if the tides out. The waters crystal clear and very calm only get waves if boats go through. I love the historical house you can tour on the property.
April J — Google review
Wonderful place for both young and old. Calm little inlet and lagoon on one side. Ocean on the other. Nice, clean water. Family friendly. BBQ stations everywhere. Get there early for best spots. It gets crowded quickly.
Abdel D — Google review
This is the best park I've ever been to. It's clean, the water is crystal, and the colors, the shades of blue there are just amazing!!!! I couldn't believe that nature at this location was so splendid! If you're visiting FL, this is a must see place to enjoy alone or with the entire family. It is absolutely FREE to get in!!!
Lia H — Google review
Dubois Park in Jupiter is one of the coolest and most relaxing places I’ve been to! The lagoon is absolutely beautiful—calm, crystal-clear water that feels amazing to swim in. It’s perfect for families, especially with little ones, because it’s protected from the waves and super easy to wade through. There’s a great playground area that keeps the kids entertained for hours, and the whole park feels safe and welcoming. What I really appreciated was the thoughtfulness of the layout—picnic tables, shaded areas, and even a wash station so you can rinse off the sand before getting back in the car. From the views of the inlet to the well-kept grassy areas and palm trees swaying in the breeze, the whole park just has that laid-back Florida vibe. Whether you’re grilling out, swimming, exploring the rocks, or just relaxing by the water, Dubois Park has a little something for everyone. I could easily spend the whole day here. A true hidden gem and one of my favorite spots in Jupiter!
William D — Google review
Love this place. Love the inlet lazy river is not deep and you can float. Beautiful clean park with lots of parking spaces..you can walk over the bridge to the beach ocean side. Restrooms and outdoor shower to rinse off your sand available.

Amazing views - great sunrise spot - every table has a grill so bring your charcoal - lagoon + beach + river beach front swimming with lifeguards ans playground - great walking paths too and fishing area! City did a great job for families here.

Dubois Park. Tropical paradise + history = THE perfect stop on the way home from a long weekend at the Hard Rock. I’ve been wanting to come here for soooo long. Looking forward to exploring it some more on our next visit. We visited in July 2025 on a Sunday around 9am and there were still a ton of parking spaces available. This park does not charge an entrance fee compared to Sebastian inlet, I honestly loooove this park more than Sebastian Inlet. There is an area where you can walk next to the mangroves in calf deep water. Lots of families enjoying the park, barbecuing, lots of lifeguards around as well. Saw 2 cop cars patrolling. I saw 1 bathroom but did not use it so can’t comment about cleanliness. At the end of the pier people were fishing, they are using 5inch long fish as bait so they must catch pretty good sized fish here. There were lots of seaweeds on the beach side when we visited. I love the foliage on the dunes and the sculpture of a female and male overlooking the water.

The area's rich history, including Spanish expeditions and shipwrecks, is showcased in the museum's galleries. Visitors can also explore outdoor structures such as a pioneer home.
Cool lighthouse that is still actively in use and whose history dates back to the 1800s. The staff here (mostly retiree volunteers) is very engaging, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. It’s quite a hike getting up the lighthouse, but once on top, it has an amazing view. The staff gave us a detailed history overview briefing while we were at the top of the lighthouse. Cost to enter is very reasonable. What’s also unique about the sight is the ginormous Banyan tree at the base of the lighthouse. It’s a one of a kind tree that is a non-native tree of the region. People who are claustrophobic may not want to attempt the lighthouse staircase climb as it’s a narrow and very steep staircase. Also, I noticed when standing at the top of the lighthouse, you can feel the structure swaying in the wind (it’s a gentle sway), but it did make me a little nervous whenever you feel it 😬

Perfect day beautiful place. You even get exercise. Climbing the stairs to the lighthouse. There's walking paths and the views worth it. There's a nice breeze at the top of of the lighthouse, the gift shop sells handmade local items and there's lots of waterfront restaurants nearby, including a really good ice cream shop with espresso across the water.

Mother in Law suggested we visited the Lighthouse on our way up to the PSL. Very sweet sweet group of people working there!! Shout out to Mr. Frank he was such a sweetie! Beautiful history behind the Lighthouse, everyone is very knowledgeable, I absolutely recommend stopping by, the price of entrance is nothing compared to the amazing view!! 10/10 experience!

The history and visiting g to the top of lighthouse was awesome. Pay the ticket go thru it all. Thank you Frank from your Michigan couple, Pat and Jim Walsh

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is truly a cultural treasure. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by breathtaking views of the water and lush vegetation that create a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. The natural beauty of the area alone is worth the visit, but the history tucked within these grounds is what makes it unforgettable. Climbing the lighthouse offers panoramic views that are absolutely stunning—you can see the coastline stretch for miles, and it gives you a real sense of Florida’s rich maritime heritage. The museum itself is full of stories that connect the past to the present, from the Native American tribes who once lived here to the lighthouse keepers who maintained the beacon. This place is more than just a landmark—it’s a living piece of history and an experience that leaves you with a deep appreciation for the culture, nature, and legacy of the area. A must-visit if you’re anywhere near Jupiter!

It was totally worth it the visit. Staff is incredibly kind, and they will give you all kinds of tips to better enjoy the visit. The entrance price was $15/person, and you have access to several indoor exhibitions, outdoors areas, and the climbing to the lighthouse with stunning views!

One of the better lighthouse attractions in the state. Enjoyed walking the grounds, and exploring the inside of a piece of history. Extremely nice staff, and worth the price of admission.

Outdoor Activities
Jonathan Dickinson State Park, located just north of the late Burt Reynolds estate, is a stunning natural attraction in South Florida. The park boasts 16 natural communities and features the Loxahatchee River, where visitors can enjoy kayaking and canoeing surrounded by cypress trees and mangroves. The park offers two campgrounds - the River Campground along the Loxahatchee River and the Pine Grove Campground near the park entrance.
Hands down, this might be the best Florida state park I’ve ever visited. The biking and hiking trails were so much fun and really well maintained. We stayed for a long weekend and everything about the trip was just right. The campground was peaceful, the scenery was beautiful, and the whole place felt untouched and quiet. If you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature, this is the spot.
Bri A — Google review
Been 28 years since I last stayed here. Stayed at the youth site so somewhat away from the rest of the camps. I'd probably give it a 5 star if I was able to enjoy the park more as they have mountain biking, hiking, and some other water borne stuff that I couldn't partake in, sadly. Large park so plenty of room to stretch your arms. Rangers were great! Very helpful and responsive, truly appreciated. The negatives which can and cannot be fixed were the late night trains that run through the park, the mosquitoes the size of VWs, and the observation tower being closed. So go to bed tired, lather on the bug spray (didn't even phase them), and you still get a decent view from the "mountain" top.
Walter A — Google review
This is my first experience at Jonathan Dickinson. It was a very pretty and peaceful campground. I stayed at the River campground location. My dog (Slater) and cat (Zena) enjoyed it very much. We had plenty of places to bike ride around. We hiked up the walk path to hobo outlook. Although the Outlook Tower was shut down it was still quite a beautiful view. One main thing that I would complain about was the constant target practice that was nearby. Gunfire all day long. So if you have PTSD this is not a great place for you.
Laura M — Google review
At the park you can go on guided river tours. Boat rentals are available for 2 hours for $65. Call ahead to check for availability and times due to tides. There is a gift shop that sells refreshments, snacks, and souvenirs. I recommend taking the time to visit the welcome center where they have a small museum and video theater where children or adults can do a scavenger hunt. They have hats and tee-shirts for $10. I would recommend this park for camping, cabins and tents are available, they even have rv sites and a boat ramp, knack rentals are available also. Fishing at the pier is an option to consider it is brackish water.
John J — Google review
HUGE park!! RV site 001 is massive with full hookups and across from a fun playground (only one in camp). It's a drive to get to the actual park, and the fees for tours are pretty steep if you have a large family. Super close to shopping, beaches, a lighthouse, and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
Mary H — Google review
Unspoiled coastal paradise filled with wildlife. Walking paths and biking trails are plentiful. They maintain the camping area well but it is difficult to procur a spot.

I wish I had more time and better shoes! This place has it all for those who enjoy an active lifestyle! Camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, horse back riding, bird watching - nature comes alive in the most unexpected and unassuming way! As soon as I arrived I was saying that I can’t wait to come back here! There are cabins and glamping tents, RV spaces and miles of trails.

Nestled in West Palm Beach, Mounts Botanical Garden is a serene escape that spans 14 acres and showcases an impressive collection of over 2,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants from across the globe. This beautifully manicured garden invites visitors to immerse themselves in its lush landscapes featuring exotic trees, vibrant herbs, citrus varieties, and majestic palms.
Excellent garden with so manu varieties of flowers, butterflies, trees and many beautiful locations for a photo shoot. Would expect to spend like 2-3 hours. Visited on a sunday afternoon and didn’t need to buy the tickets in advance. Ample parking space. Its a well maintained place! Would surely recommend
Neha T — Google review
Online their site looks great and was exactly as they have on the web page, very nice and beautiful with an amazing array of trees, plants etc that were spectacular. The Moab Easter island replicas were really cool. The colorful animals kinda killed it being too fake or cartoonish and that’s perhaps why 400 to 500 elementary students were there. Too bad they don’t warn people of the huge student groups, I have nothing wrong about our youth enjoying, but realistically we went to be at one with the nice flowers, plants and trees to understand and relax a bit, well the noise and the amount of students overwhelmed the experience for us to enjoy, we left distraught and stressed out big time Please consider closing park during the kids turn and don’t allow other people in the park to enjoy until they leave, for they are on a field trip that usually they like other elements in the park then what your average adults enjoy. Just my feelings and was very disappointed by stress and did not absorb the botanical center at all
Paul H — Google review
Been here a few times. Always enjoy the walk, especially the butterfly garden and the maze. Today was the end of summer plant sale and there were plenty of exotics as well as native plants available. Nice selection of food vendors. Live music was awesome.

The layout of the garden is very inviting. It's a beautiful place, the only objection is the entrance fee which I find too high for the exhibits and plant inventory we saw. If Yu have time to kill at the airport, this is probably the closest option to see some nature.

I've been wanting to visit for a while and did not disappoint. The garden was beautiful, really enjoyed the animal sculptures and art work throughout the place. The beautiful garden was also very nice and we definitely fed the fish. It took us about an hour to walk through the whole place, we went during the week and basically had the place to ourselves.

Found this botanical garden and knew immediately that it was a must-visit. The variety of plants, tropical trees and overall scenery are all peacefully breathtaking. The staff here take meticulous care of the entire garden and it’s felt throughout every inch of this property. We didn’t even know that we could have a picnic here so we’ll definitely be planning another trip again.

Bathtub Beach is a family-friendly destination with a unique feature - during low tide, the reef creates a shallow pool resembling a bathtub. This makes it an ideal spot for young kids and those who want to swim without worrying about the tide. The beach offers limited parking but provides amenities such as a gazebo, shower, and bathroom. Additionally, Bathtub Beach is handicap accessible with designated parking and wheelchair-accessible sidewalks leading to an overlook pavilion and sun deck.
Such a great self-serve beach with a few daytime lifeguards and excellent snorkeling for being right on the shore with a massive collection of seashells, small fish, and birds. A clean bathroom with a drinking fountain but no on site restaurants- however lots of great options within a 2-15 min drive would 10/10 recommend

My boys 10 & 15 loved this beach! It was the favorite of the ones we visited. There are shells, but not a ton. If you go early in the morning it isnt crowded. Parking is limited, so be prepared if you are arriving after 9/930! Bathroom and showers on site. Short walk to the beach.
Kalla M — Google review
Plenty of parking, nice bathrooms and showers, + lifeguards. Clean beach right on the ocean at the southern tip of Hutchinson island. Excellent shelling here. This location has the most shells over 3 other locations on Hutchinson Island that claim good shelling conditions.

Had a great time swimming and snorkling, the water was great, thte reef was cool. There is construction on going there but the bathrooms were nice and clean! I hope they add outdoor showers or rinse stations outside the bathrooms to wash the sand off after leaving the beach.

It features an exceptional car collection, as well as historic collections, making it a must-see for those interested in Florida's past. The museum also includes a gift shop on its second floor, where local artist works are available for purchase. With accessible facilities such as handicap access and elevators, visitors can fully enjoy this treasure coast gem at an affordable price with senior and child discounts available.
Excellent car collection. Was not expecting it. Artwork was beautiful. Restaurant adjacent had live music on Sunday and the beach was right behind it all. What a great way to spend a Sunday. Highly recommend.

I was stunned at the amount and quality of their items. This is an absolute jewel and a must see. I was not disappointed. Cost is minimal for the value of seeing great works. If the docent is available for the cars, ask to see it. They have a racking system unlike anything I've ever seen. Take your time and take it all in. I think they have other exhibits that are invited and showcased. When I visited it was Tut and Faberge eggs replicas. Active duty and veterans were admitted free with ID at the time of this post. Great way to spend your time.

🏛️ Great museum! Really worth a visit. 1st floor is filled with unusual antique cars and bicycles. Plenty of interesting historical facts about local residents and inventors. 2nd floor is filled with myriad of unique artifacts of Florida history. Most of them are just displayed in a makeshift old store. You can spend hours just exploring this area alone. 🎧 They have an excellent and free audio guide. 🚗 Make sure to check out “car vending machine”. Plus at least two electric cars from 1900s and 1970s. Fun fact, most of their cars are drivable. They rent them to movie studios, news productions, weddings and just take them to auto shows. They have 1930s “Woody” (Ford Model A Staton Wagon) that you can sit in and explore. Make sure you do it and find out just how much more comfortable our cars are today. 🏕️ Moonshine tent display on 2nd floor is excellent. ⏱️ Give yourself ~3-4 hours to explore the museum. 🅿️ There is plenty of free parking in front of the museum. Plus public beach parking right next to the museum. 🍹There is a “Tiki Bar” on site. If you are hungry, you can visit it too. 🚽 Bathrooms a nice, roomy and very clean.

I was very impressed with this museum. I didn't expect so many rooms to view. I expected that 1 hour would've covered everything. I was wrong. You should allow at least an hour and a half 2 hours possibly longer depending. I definitely recommend it.

A very nice local museum that has something for just about everyone. I spent 2 hours there and could have stayed longer. I investigated because i saw a King Tut sign. All the display items were replicas but you got a feel for the size of the artifacts found in the tomb. The museum has a 50+ car collection with mostly card that are from before 1950. It has a baseball card collection with some bats and balls on display. It has a replica Faberge Egg display which is very large. It has a large selection of Highwayman Paintings which were pretty good. I recommend a visit.

First time visiting and we were delighted with the place. Small but loaded with many fascinating details and historical facts. It’s well worth a visit and recommend taking your time to understand the small items on display. Impressed with the historical items from our area in Florida.

My husband and I drove two hours to check this place out. Loved it. It may be a smaller museum but so many exhibits. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is a 57-acre research and educational site featuring a network of nature trails, a lagoon, and saltwater tanks. Visitors can explore the building's interactive games, learn about Florida's water and animals in the museum, and take advantage of restrooms on-site. The attraction offers a chance to feed stingrays and invertebrates while observing large saltwater turtles and fish up close. Admission prices are $8 for children and $16 for adults.
Last week we went to the Florida Oceanographic Center during our stay on Hutchinson island. It obviously is extremely hot outside this time of year so I recommend bringing water and sunscreen. There are some AC and shady areas to cool down but a good portion is outside. We loved the indoor area that was an aquarium inside with tons of cool fish in it. Highly recommend spending some time visiting.
Rocky 2 — Google review
It was neat, but with how much it costs compared to the other things in the area I expected a bit more. The mosquitos there are super terrible. I feel they should just hand out bug spray for free. My kid got eaten alive just walking around the sting ray and where they feed the fish. The gift shop was decently priced. A boys hat fell in the lagoon and the employees did a great job of safely removing it.
Kalla M — Google review
A wonderful facility! The talks were informative and accessible, and the employees giving them were both knowledgeable and passionate. We walked away with lots of useful information, including how we can make a difference in our own lives when it comes to conservation! The animas seemed well cared for, with many of them being here due to an inability to be released back into the wild rather than just being here “for show.” Would highly recommend a visit!

We greatly enjoyed our afternoon here! We saw the big game feeding demonstration, did the interactive sea critter and sting ray touch exhibits, and walked around the inside area as well. Well worth the price of admission! The only thing we didn’t do was the walking trail. It was very muggy and mosquito filled due to recent rain. Shout out to Jasmin at the sea critter touch tank as well as the sting ray area!! She was very knowledgable and funny :)

The staff is fantastic, they truly are friendly & informative. The place itself however, has little to offer. You can view it all in about an hour or less. You can walk the mangroves & be led to the inlet 🫤 which isn't beautiful obviously. Kids can touch some sea life & view a couple of things indoors away from heat. Other than that, it's just okay to visit.

The sanctuary offers kid-friendly trails through woods and wetlands, providing visitors with the opportunity to observe a variety of animals, including deer and owls. The exhibits are designed to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings, creating a picturesque setting for both visitors and wildlife. While there is no entrance fee, donations are encouraged to support the care of the animals.
What a great place to go & see Florida wildlife. Excellent access for walking the path, pushing kids in strollers or taking someone with a walker or wheelchair. Entry by optional donation. They make it easy- goes to a good cause. Great gift store & educational opportunities. Nice clean facilities. Well done on the new build. Thankful they are rehabbing area wildlife & giving locals (and tourists) a nice place to see animals outside a traditional zoo setting.

This place is better than a zoo—and it’s completely FREE! (Donations appreciated) Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a spacious, peaceful haven where animals are not just on display but actually cared for in environments that mimic their natural habitats. The animals are well-kept, with proper environments and things to play with The sanctuary feels close to nature, with beautiful trails, shaded spots, and thoughtfully designed enclosures. There’s a reptile room with A/C (perfect break from the Florida heat) and an amphitheater with amazing fans, making the educational talks super comfortable and fun. The staff is kind and visible throughout the facility, ready to help and answer questions. Whether you’re local or just visiting Jupiter, this sanctuary is 100% worth your time. It’s educational, family-friendly, and a great way to support wildlife rehab and conservation.

What a great outing with the family! It is donation only and has such a nice set up and beautiful animals! Kids and adults will enjoy this! Highly recommend!!!

This is a very nice, well maintained animal sanctuary. They have different birds, owls, foxes, bobcats, panthers, bears, and more. The caged areas are a good size overall. I've been to some sanctuaries where the panthers' enclosures were only a fraction of the size. Summer is getting hot, and there aren't any fans or misters as you walk around so I'd bring water, a hat, and a portable fan if heat is an issue for you. I would say 1-2 hours is enough time. We were there almost 2 hours but went slow, reading all the exhibits in the welcome center and looking at all the animals and reptiles. I know they also have shows and presentations, so you'd have to check online or call for the schedule. They have a gift shop that also has a few drinks and ice creams/popicles. It's donation only. They have a cash or card option.
Kristen D — Google review
This is an awesome wildlife sanctuary that is definitely worth visiting if you have an hour or so. It's not super large, but if you go at the right time, it's really cool. We went right after it rained (it actually drizzled a little on us here) and about an hour before they closed, and all of the animals were super active! We got to see the panthers running around playing with each other (they were in separate areas but still ran at each other and played), the otters running around and swimming, the owls making noise and eating their dinners, and much more.

Ed and kary were amazing they helped us with a hurt raccoon and informed us a lot! They were super sweet and provided us with care after handling the situation, they kept in contact and handled the animal properly. They took the time out there day to come get the poor thing and im super greatful for them!!

I recently visited Busch Wildlife Sanctuary’s new location, and it was absolutely beautiful! The best part of the experience is seeing how well the animals are taken care of. The sanctuary’s space is clean, well-maintained, and you can truly tell the staff cares deeply for each animal. One of the volunteers, Edward, was incredible! He was so knowledgeable and shared some fun facts about the animals that really made the visit special. The layout is perfect, especially for little ones like my two-year-old, who loves to run around. It’s spacious, and they’ve made it super family-friendly with both indoor and outdoor areas. If you visit on a hot Florida day, there are large umbrellas outside to offer some shade, which is a nice touch. They even have a designated kids' play area, which my daughter loved! The gift shop is also adorable, and there are so many cute items to check out. Plus, it’s donation-based, and everything goes toward such a great cause. This place is definitely a must-visit. I highly recommend it for families of all ages. Can’t wait to come back!

McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is a refuge for more than 170 animals. They offer guided tours and interactive programs for children, but reservations are required. The animals appear to be well-kept and healthy, and the staff are organized and friendly. Restrooms are available on-site, but visitors must be escorted if they need to use them during a tour. Guests must stay with the group at all times and touching or handling the animals is allowed at their own risk as stated by signage in the area.
Our recent visit was a delightful experience filled with learning about animals. Josie, our guide, was exceptional—helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate about the sanctuary's mission. Her insights made the visit truly enriching. However, the sanctuary itself is quite small, which was a bit of a surprise. While it's well-maintained, I couldn't help but wish they had more space and larger enclosures for the animals. Hopefully, with more funding, they can expand their facilities to provide a better environment for the animals and enhance the visitor experience. Overall, it's a wonderful place with potential for growth, and we look forward to seeing how it evolves in the future.

5 stars aren't enough. 1st time visit, Took my son and daughter-in-law and it was such a plesent experience. Josie was our guide and she was so personable and knowledgeable. Her dedication and passion was so evident. The interactions with the animals was pure joy, you can see how well they are cared for and maintained. Created and operations completely on donations and love. I highly recommend a visit. Check their website as they have limited hours as to not over stress the animals which I certainly appreciate. Completely ran on donations and love

The place was clean. The girl who did the tour was knowledgeable but the two people that came with me and myself started getting bored, she talked WAY to long on each animal. I'm sure we weren't the only ones to feel that way. After awhile you kinda just zoned her out. Aso I'm handicapped and needed to sit down occasionally. It would have been nice had an employee at least clean the chairs & benches ( which I appreciated ) they were so dirty, you didn't even want to sit down. That is why I deducted a star. Animals were really cool. If you are able to stand in one place for 10 to 15 minutes on each animal, and listen to a tour guide go on & on, I highly recommend this place.

This was our 6th time here and it never disappoints. Everytime you come is like the first time! Always something new, always another example of selfless people caring for beautiful animals. Our guide this time was Josie, which was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality. My son was in town from Ft Drum and when asked what he wanted to do, he said to come here. This is our favorite day trip adventure. They even had umbrellas delivered to us mid-tour when it started to rain. Five stars is not enough!

Never in my life have I had such an exceptionally amazing meal. There is no contest that the food we had here was unequivocally the best I've ever consumed; utterly unparalleled. The appetizer of Scallops with caviar on top and a truffle slice was the best version of scallop preparation I've ever had. It started the meal off with a high bar that only continued to get better. I enjoyed an entrée of Coconut Crusted Hogfish in a Cashew Curry sauce that was beyond any ability to express how delectable it was. Every single bite was worth raving about; my taste buds never got used to how outrageously excellent the flavor was. Never before have I been so amazed at the flavors of each and every mouth-watering bite! My husband had the Roasted Maple Leaf Duck which he said was the best duck he's ever had. This was a better anniversary dinner than I could have fathomed (never before have we spoken so little out to eat because it did was so delicious). I cannot rave about this place enough and I look forward to the opportunity to return again for more!!

Frank took excellent care of us throughout the evening! He was professional and friendly! We are locals since 2014 and this was our first time dining here! Absolutely loved it! Beca took our reservation over the phone. So sweet and friendly. Michelle was our greeter when we arrived she was friendly and attentive to us. We had perused the menu prior to our arrival and enjoyed each course. I began with a delightful glass f Sancerre French Sauvignon Blanc, we then shared Oysters Rockafeder, a bowl of crab & shrimp tortilla soup, apple walnut salad, crab cakes is what my husband ordered and I enjoyed the coconut Crusted Hoggish! Everything was delicious! We will definitely return! The menus selection all inviting! 👍👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Five stars truly isn’t enough for this place! This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time visiting Stuart and unfortunately (but fortunately, in the end) we didn’t find this gem until our last day! We had the absolute best meal of our trip. The atmosphere is so lovely and cozy. The entire wait staff was so kind and attentive. Every dish we got was a must try; the pull apart bread, crab cakes, maple vinegarette salad, honey bourbon filet special and the coconut curry fresh catch. We will absolutely be making this place a staple on our next trip.

Megan the bartender is fantastic. The food is always good. The burger is pretty decent but id skip getting it with gorgonzola. It's a tad on the small side so be aware. The seasonal soup they had was amazing this week. The drinks are solid and its a decent happy hour.

Brunch too! Wowza! The pictures tell the story. Just go and thank yourself after. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Even the coffee was on point. Okay okay. We didn’t know what to order because we wanted it all so each of us got what all of us wanted as we usually do. Lol and Holy Buckets, Batman! It was 10/10!!! I just cannot get over how yummy and savory each bite was.

Love the food! Had the filthy oysters and scallops- absolutely amazing and delicious! Unfortunately our server and us did not click- which was a bummer. Although coming here every week for the last several weeks- need to take a break. If spending money for enjoyable outing- need to ensure all aspects on point.

Service was great and the chef accommodated my seafood allergy by specially preparing the veal dish. The veal was tender but a bit flavorless. We sat inside since rain was coming. The table next to us was 12" away but was the only open table. The salad that came with the veal was delicious! Appetizer pear purses was also fabulous. My friend and I split one appetizer and the veal dish and after the upcharge for splitting to get extra salad, total bill including 20% tip was $90. (We each drank water). It was plenty of food and we left full.

The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum

Museums
The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum, situated near Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County, Florida, is a top-notch naval history museum dedicated to preserving the remarkable legacy of the Navy's Sea, Air, Land (SEAL) and Underwater Demolition (UDT) Teams. Established formally in 1985, this museum boasts an impressive collection of rare SEAL-related artifacts such as WWII-era demolition training obstacles and Vietnam-era Patrol Boat Rivers.
🎖️ Very interesting museum! Given that SEALS originated in Fort Pierce, this museum is a must-visit! 🪖 They have a very good collection of original artifacts! Very interesting stands with engaging stories! You can even “board” some of the boats and a helicopter! 🚁 ⏳ You will need ~3-4 hours to take your time and view all of the artifacts. 🎥 In the begging of the museum they have a video room where a series of videos about various operations are shown. The total run time is ~2 hours. But, each video is about 15-20 mins. long. I would suggest going through the museum first and visit this room at the end of your visit. 🎁 Make sure to stop by the gift shop. They have a lot of pins and memorable coins! 🅿️ There is plenty of parking on site. 🚽 There is a bathroom in the “middle” of the museum. Everything is nice and clean.

Excellent show of history dedicated to those who served. Stories told you probably didn't even know about, tons of cool artillery and history you get to experience unlike other museums that we've been to. My personal favorite was the boats they had outside on display and some of the weapons they had inside of the building. If you are in the area or if you have an interest in this stuff I highly recommend giving this place a check out to see some truly incredible things.

Had a great day visiting this amazing museum. I went with two marines brothers and the site is great. Be prepared for a long visit, at least if you like to check every exhibit and read the whole history about, due they share all the data and items are plenty. The store I believe it could have more stuff but stills fine. 💯 % recommendable

A lovely visit to this museum right next to the beach by the way a huge plus…. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ the outdoor exhibits are free to wander, able to enter the huge ship was a nice touch - I did enjoy taking pictures from the height of the ship, they had educational videos about war & the ship’s history. The outdoor was a nice walk & it had an obstacle course for the kids. The inside was $16/but they offered military discounts. All items have been donated and actually used somehow in someway so that was interesting. Well maintained but did spend more time outside than inside. A day out visit was worth it!!!

Love the interactive displays. Great history sections like a real natural museum. Memories of the O course was something. Great memorial plaque wall. And all the challenge coins I ever heard of

Don’t let the size fool you this place is packed with awesome history! Carve out about 2-3hrs there is a lot to see and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Phenomenal museum show casing the sacrifices we “entitled” Americans take for granted to live free, love this place and makes me proud to be a Floridian!

It is a very interesting place that I could spend a lot of time reading and learning about Navy Seal as there're so many exhibits and historical artifacts. There're nice and clean restrooms inside and also a gift shop.

Lion Country Safari

Mentioned on

Wildlife and safari park
Nature & Parks
Lion Country Safari is a fantastic drive-thru safari where visitors can see lions, rhinos, and other animals roaming freely. The park also features an amusement park with various activities such as mini-golf, a waterslide, water park, and a restaurant. Visitors can opt for VIP tours that provide an up-close experience with the animals and knowledgeable guides like Kimberly who offer insights into the wildlife. Additionally, there are walking tours that include a petting zoo and giraffe feeding.
My husband and I were unsure if we should go without our kids, and im glad we still went. We had an absolutely amazing time. We arrived around 130pm, and the car drive through the safari took us about 1.5 hours while listening to the audio guide and stopping while seeing animals. We then went into the park (bring your bathing suits). Enjoy the day. Everything is included except the additional feeding of animals, but you can still get close and encounter them all. We grabbed a dole whip to cool off. By 4pm, we were done with the park, but if we had the kids with us, we could spend all day at the water slide and water park. We decided to drive through the safari one more time as it was getting dark as it was about to storm. I'm so glad we did. The animals were way more active and out walking around compared to mid day when they were hiding in the shade. Lions were active, and the workers were actually putting them away, and they were up roaming around. It was faster, only took us 30 minutes as we passed by other cars that were still enjoying the animals.
Hannah L — Google review
This place is great. Kiss loved safari drive through ans got to see animals. It was hot so some were hiding in the shade but we were still able to see. After drive through, we went to the park are and there is more things to see and do. They have petting and feeding opportunities there. They have merry-go-round and a few other small rides (great for kids 3-7). They have 2 big water slides (have to be over 48 inches) and a splash pad with smaller rides for smaller kids. I remember making a day out of it. Our family had a great time there.

We love Lion Country Safari! It’s such an amazing place to bring the family and friends. You are allowed to respectfully drive through the park and take in the surreal sights of the diverse array of animals and habitats. You can take your time to truly appreciate everything that’s available. Once you’re done driving through the safari, you can spend some time at the park to continue to observe Gods creatures, grab a snack, let the kiddos play at the waterpark, or purchase some souvenirs. I highly recommend spending a day at the Safari.
Ben L — Google review
What an incredible safari tour! With so many animals to view it was well worth the admission cost. When driving through, you receive (at your wish) a voice guided tour that you can get scanning the qr code which provides you with facts and history of each animal within the park. What makes this park even more incredible, is you can walk through another park where you view birds, flamingos, giraffes and go on a boat tour (extra fee). There is a small amusement park along with gorgeous flowers and fascinating decorative paths to walk through. Definitely a place for those between 2-120 years!!!!
Sarah W — Google review
Amazing experience! 🦁 The safari was so much fun — we got really close to the animals, especially the giraffes and zebras. The place is clean, well organized, and perfect for families. You can tell the animals are well cared for. Definitely worth the visit

It was a nice visit! Although I would like to have had the windows down the animals didn’t seem interested in approaching our vehicles but we had our windows up, it was nice to drive through once and walk around we did the feeding and petting area we enjoyed the boat tour and the maze. We didn’t eat there but we stopped by a Mexican restaurant close by avanges or something like that. But it was a nice time we left there happy. Wasn’t too hot walking around we ran through splash pad but didn’t stay there’s

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Lion Country Safari and it was such a wonderful experience! Seeing the animals up close from the comfort of your car is truly unique. Everything is very well organized, the animals look healthy and well cared for, and the drive-through safari is so much fun for the whole family. After the ride, there’s also a walk-through area where you can feed some animals, enjoy games, and other activities. It’s the perfect place to spend a full day surrounded by nature, learning, and fun. 🦁🦒🦓🐘 🫶🏻🐘🦒🦓

We had a great experience. We arrived at 9:30 and all of the animals were alert and active. Some were running and playing. You can drive through the safari multiple times. There are other animals in the walking portion of Lion Country Safari. I didn't take many photos because I wanted to enjoy the moment.

Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce is a stunning outdoor attraction spread across five acres. Established in 1985, it features the impressive James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery, home to over 100 beautiful trees, making it the largest public tropical bonsai collection in the United States. The gardens also offer various themed garden rooms including contemplation gardens, herb gardens, Japanese gardens, palm and cycad walks, and rainforest displays.
This botanical garden is a little jewel. The bonsai collection is amazing and a must see in Fort Pierce, FL. Beautifully planted and taken care of. There is a playground, a butterfly garden and many whimsical painted metal sculptures. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the gift shop is well curated with many affordable items. Just a few photos. An absolute delight.

McKee Botanical Garden is an 18-acre tropical paradise located in Fort Pierce, Florida. This lush and serene garden features exotic and native plants, trees, waterfalls, ponds, stone bridges, and bamboo statues of birds. Visitors can explore the beautiful landscapes with lily pads and historical cabins that create a fairytale-like atmosphere. The garden also offers a library, cafe, gift shop, and hosts events for kids.
We had a great time. Definitely bring bug spray. We bought the wipes they had in the gift shop but they’re pricey for a big group and not as effective as spray. My husband rarely gets bit by mosquitoes but he did here so use spray even if you don’t think you’ll need it. Teenagers & little kids alike will enjoy all the plants and the playground is adorable. We went in July so it was as hot as expected but almost the entire walk through is shaded. The cafe is cute, we got an oatmeal raisin cookie (yum) and an iced coffee (not great). Took us 1.5 hours to walk the entire place but easily could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

This is absolutely a beautiful place! From the moment you get to the tickets to the moment you leave. People are warm and friendly and super helpful. The gardens are so well kept and a great atmosphere! I would say it's the best kept gem because I have lived here over 25 years and had no idea about it till today! Definitely a must-see :)

We got there and little late so we didn't get to see everything. If we had had more time it probably would have gotten a 5 star rating. We will definitely come back. We drove 2 hrs to get there and at 4:40 the entrance gate was locked. We went around and came in through the exit, so we did get a little time. We can't wait to see the "jungle lights" in December.

Beautiful botanical garden where everyone in any age can find something interesting. Lovely playground with splash space for kids and even some musical instruments. We had a fantastic time walking through this garden. You have to do this slowly, so many details around…don’t miss ☀️

Absolutely beautiful garden to walk around and enjoy. Spacious and beautifully maintained grounds. Nice and quiet. Not as much wildlife as others I've been to. Mostly just lizards. Not too much was in bloom but the Lilly's. All of the Lily's were in bloom. It was incredibly hot outside but it was still a good time. Honestly the 2 most impressive things there were the cypress stump outside, over a thousand years old. Absolutely massive. And I found a snake skin next to it so that was neat! And inside they have a building with the absolute longest single slab of wood for a table I have EVER seen. Very impressive. I wondered if it was from the cypress stump out front.
Brandi M — Google review
Beautiful park. Lots of history stuff about how it was created and how it survived so long. Tons of cute little anoles everywhere. If you know someone who loves pants, take them here. Side note, if you're worried about $20 entry in a tourist town, you might wanna reevaluate your finances. Because considering the location, this is a pretty standard price. Most botanical gardens are the same price or more given the amount of labor involved in keeping everything thriving and interesting.
Tru B — Google review
It's a beautiful place to relax and/or get your steps in, search for little treasures (like real blue crabs, exotic plants, and historical references), and walk under the shade of trees and palms. The children section is a little paradise for kids to play, explore, and get wet.

Spring training facility for the NY Mets. Older facility. Could use some more hand rails on the stairs. Park on grass $10. Lots of friendly and helpful volunteers. Local police help with traffic control. Bath rooms are small. Tiki bar. Berm behind fence on 1st base side, with sun deck behind. There is an adjacent practise field. Main field has no dugouts. Nathans hot dogs but no Nathans mustard. The announcer got the name of the visiting team wrong (!). Too many commercials, too loud, on the announcement system.

Left after 2nd inning....life long Mets fan, very disappointed. Was always a dream to visit here, big let down. Just moved to the area so this was on the top of the bucket list. Most annoying was Q-tip old timers in section 205 refusing to let people sit in the seats they purchased. Its reserved seating, not first come first served. What are you supposed to do with a bunch of geriatrics on their last legs though? Heard the argument over seating for the 4th time and just took the family and went home before things got ugly. No usher presence didn't help matters. Plus half the stadium was closed off for renovations compounding issues. Food options were decent, that was about the highlight. Wish this night ended differently, will probably be going to Rays, or Tortugas games moving forward.

Great stadium but they need to be more prepared for an abundance of fans they ran out of Nathan’s fries on the second game of spring training. But all and all great too bring the family

Vero Beach Outlets is a spacious outdoor shopping destination featuring a variety of stores offering discounted clothing, housewares, and accessories. While some stores have departed, the remaining selection includes well-known brands like Skechers, Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Michael Kors, Williams and Sonoma, Carters, adidas, Hanes, Sunglass Hut, Gap and Crocs. The outlet complex offers ample parking and even provides a courtesy shuttle for convenience.
I love this outlet because it's huge, it is located on spacious beautiful grounds, and it is NOW HOME to my favorite store, BATH & BODY WORKS! The buildings are architecturally appealing and well designed. Bath & Body Works recently moved from the mall to this location. It is new, bright, well stocked, clean, neat and I love the staff. Bealls outlet is here, as well as Coach, Puma, Columbia, Sketchers, Calvin Klein, Crocks, and many more stores. Sometimes they will have small craft fairs in the parking lot. It is Definitely worth visiting and shopping here! A great Highlight to mention is for older folks or the disabled there is a golf cart that will ride you around from store to store so look out for the pick up and drop offs. I took my mom and she can walk fine but she wanted to get a ride anyway, lol. The heat is another factor. What a great idea! Photos from my visits-The Bath & Body items in the photo; that's not even the half of them. Columbia, we visit often for the quality and most often discounts and clearance if you are visiting grab one of these shorts. It's additional spf protection. Bealls is a favorite for housewares and at times you can find Columbia in there as well at a discount. Happy shopping and abundant blessings to our fine outlet stores.

We've been wanting to get down to this outlet to check out their shoes. They had a good selection. They even checked in the back when I couldn't find my size in a particular style. The prices were higher than I thought they would be for an outlet store though. I was only going to get two pairs but they did have a special to buy two get one free so I wound up with three pairs. Not too bad doing it that way.

A lot of stores have left since my last visit but I’m still very happy with what’s left. The stores are clean, the employees are friendly. You can make a nice few hours and walk the entire outlet complex. Skechers, Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, Michael Kors, Williams and Sonoma, Carters, adidas, Hanes, Sunglass Hut, Gap, Crocs. Plenty of parking and they have a courtesy shuttle that operates during the day for elderly, disabled, or just lazy :). I really hope more stores come back. It’s a great location right off i95.
Thomas D — Google review
Good outlet mall with a variety of shops to choose from. There are a few hotels here as well as two restaurants. The Cracker Barrel and the steak and shake are the only two available. There are outparcels to build on in the future. Most of the outlet shops are clothing related though there are a couple of nice shops that sell furnishings. Close to 95 and excellent ingress/egress onto SR 60.

Such a cool little place! We stopped in as we were driving through Okeechobee and definitely glad we did. It’s self walk through and by suggested donation. My son loved walking up to all the animals (which were double caged) and it really allows him to feel apart of the experience. It’s cool so see so many different animals in one place and cohabiting!

What can I say except this place is AMAZING! We were staying locally for doctors appointments in Orlando. With spring break going on as well as a Pandemic - we were a little hesitant. We didn't know what to expect (We have a high risk child). We arrived a couple hours after they opened - there wasn't much people at all. You are immediately greeted by the welcoming committee of Arnold's though (the cats lol) as well as a very friendly deer. It's not too big but we saw almost every single animal. It's not like the zoos at all. Your able to see each & every animal. There's no crowd of folks you've gotta walk by or put your kid on your shoulders just to be able to see the animals. There's also a nice garden to take a stroll through. Not huge but cute! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful as well. My child LOVED coming here and as parents - we did too. It just felt so much less stressful - you can easily enjoy and breath. Lol Beware of the deer walking around though. He saw my husband saying hello to HIS ladies behind the fence and didn't like it. He decided he was going to try and take on my husband until he moved away from the fence. Can't blame him though :) As for fee....they run on donations. Kids are free but they do ask a $10 donation for adults. Honestly - if you were considering donating anywhere I would say donate it here. You can obviously tell while there that it's going to a GREAT cause.

What a fantastic adventure. You can tell the caretakers love the animals, their jobs and making visitors happy! Short staffed and still took the time to bring out two baby animals for us to hold and pet before we left. So much more than I imagined for a small rehab facility. Great Job!

We are South Florida residents and LOVE Arnold's Wildlife Rehabilitation because it is truly a hidden treasure. The staff is knowledgeable and provide a real hands on experience if they have any available animals. They are great story-tellers and truly care for the animals that have been brought to them. This is not a zoo--this is more of a rescue and with the hope that many of the animals can be released. Cierra and Kimmy are dedicated staff members and truly made our family feel special while we were there. While we were there we fed the chickens, took pictures with the peacocks, walked through the butterfly garden and learned about all of the animals. We received a special treat because they had an influx of rescues and were provided the opportunity to hold a baby raccoon and armadillo and then feed a fawn. This was truly like no other experience I have ever had. It is $10 per adult and children are free--but please remember they do take donations as well. We brought towels, dish detergent, extra money and lots of fruits and veggies for the animals. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this place! Do not miss out on this adventure;) Go to Lake O park after and bring lunch. Great day trip!
Valerie G — Google review
It was a wonderful place to bring a young boy. There were so many animals that kids could interact with firsthand. There were two panthers there and they were really exciting to see. Sometimes you go to these wildlife places and you don't end up seeing half of the animals because they're all sheltering from the sun, but that was not the case with Arnold's. Our tour guide (I think her name was Celeste) was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to share with us. I recommend Arnold's Wildlife Rehab Center.

This place was amazing! Super friendly staff, family friendly, great alternative to the zoo. I would highly recommend this as a fun place to take the kids on a day trip. There are picnic tables under a pavilion where you can eat your packed lunch. You can even bring apples and carrots for the deer! Great place!

My mom & I had took 4 kids, ages 1 - 8, to Arnold's to have something fun to do while they were off for teacher's work day. We had a wonderful time & learned a lot about the animals. We had lunch under the pavilion and my niece's were even invited to paint rocks that they donated to the center for them to hide for the other kids who come to the center. I highly recommend it!!

Such a neat animal sanctuary! We drove over an hour to check out this place and it was great. We got to pet some of the sweetest animals, walk through a beautiful butterfly garden, and even hold a baby raccoon! We were able to see so many different kinds of animals and got to feed the deer. Staff was beyond kind and welcoming to us; they made an effort to have conversations with us and brought out a sweet baby raccoon for us to hold and love on. This was a really fun place and we will definitely be back again!

The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the Golf Course & Country Club and Civic Park. It's also just a short drive away from Lake Okeechobee and Truevine Pentecostal Church.
Called to book a fishing trip with my girlfriends daughter on the big O and was hooked up with Capt Bo White. This guy knows his stuff! He took us out a few miles out in the dark before sunrise and felt wicked comfortable with him driving the boat. Guy is first class! It was July and the bite was slow compared to winter months and he put us right on the fish. We caught over a dozen largemouth bass. I will definitely be back to fish with Bo in the prime time. The girls at the desk were also very pleasant to deal with.

Been coming here for 5 years. Have stayed in both the condos and hotel with no problems. Anyone of the staff was nice and helpful. They have done upgrades since we have been coming and would recommend this friendly, nice, and convenient place to anyone. Met The man himself, Mr Roland Martin today finally. He signed my hat and took a pic. Then we talked about fishing, where I lived and talked with me for a long time. Roland himself was the best and his marina and staff is incredible. Bo White is the man! We elected for the 6 hour guided trip out on the Big O. My cousin and I had an absolute blast. Bo put us on some good fish. He was super personable and very knowledgeable about Lake Okeechobee. He’s very chill and I highly recommend his services!

Place is great for staying at to go Bass fishing on the lake but you need to have a boat. Took my son there and we were limited on where we could fish as we don't have a boat. Food was good and service was good but like I said fishing was limited for us but it was a few days of father son time instead of him on the video games.

This a really friendly marina, staff is great and compassionate. I stayed at the marina for two nights at a reasonable fee plus they allowed me to park my truck and trailer in their parking lot for four days with no charge while I traveled to Captiva.

Just spend 4 days fishing will Roland Martin and Captin Bo. My 1st trip to lake okechoobee. Incredible fun and fishing. Great service by all staff. Appreciated all the extra effort from this amazing team. We will be back soon. The is conveniently located for all type of fishing you want. Special thanks to Roland and Bo who went above and beyond the call of duty to make our trip memorable, aloha from chris and itza baker from oahu hawaii.

I find it a bit odd that you have staff that work at marina but are unwilling to do their job until after daylight. Due to snakes on the dock, no less. Will not even allow return customers to fill their own boats so they can get on the lake at a decent time, yet will let them fuel their own boats in the daylight.
Tori M — Google review
We had a 3 night stay booked at Roland Martin's, and ended up staying an extra night, it was that good! The park model accomodation was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The tiki bar was lively on the weekend with live music and a good crowd. The staff are friendly, from the check-in staff to the waiters and the guides. We had a guided fishing trip on the Sunday, in the great hands of Captain Curly. He was flexible to our preferences, got us on fish and was great company to boot. With the marina access, the guides and boat rental available, together with a reasonably priced tackle shop, Roland Martin's Marina is a one stop for a bass adventure, I'll be back if I get the chance.

Seminole Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino

Hotel
Casinos & Gambling
This high-energy casino features slot machines, poker & bingo, plus a 24-hour American restaurant.
Beautiful, clean, modern rooms. Very kind and welcoming staff. Casino is clean and nice. The restaurants aren't that good but there's no closer restaurants around the area. You'd have to drive over 15 minutes to get a restaurant. Security is on top of their jobs. I felt very safe. The pool was clean as can be, there were some bugs but that's expected as there's palm trees around the pool. Other than that, I love the atmosphere, the rooms, and everything else.

I put 3 stars for location only. Don't know what's around. The hotel and casino are newly built and its very nice inside. Small compared to others we have stayed in but size doesn't matter. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful! King size room was very big. Has small refrigerator, safe, robes, coffee maker, tv. Hotel is pet friendly so you might hear a bark now and then (lol). Lots of slots. Smoking and non smoking room to play. We ate dinner in the grill place and it was good. We had basic like hamburger and fries and chicken tenders and fries. Late night had a piece of cheesecake with hot chocolate and hot tea in the coffee place that is open 24/7. We would stay at this hotel again!

First visit for wife and I. Very clean (basically brand new. Just opened in February of 2025. The whole grounds inside and out was clean and beautiful. The rooms were perfectly laid out and the bed and pillows top notch and very comfortable. Again, the rooms were impeccably maintained like we were the first staying there. Definitely looking forward to staying again. The staff were friendly and efficient at checking in and answering all questions. Glad we came for the fun. Next time a concert.

This is my third time coming to this casino and I’ve met the most wonderful bartender. Her name is Christina with bright red hair. Very nice and always on top of her duties. I recommend everyone ask for her. She’s very delightful

The WORST customer service. They do not operate with integrity. I tried to use my comp rooms online for a birthday visit, but was unable to book it (ongoing issue with website booking system). I called the front desk to see if they could book it (which they have had to do for me before). They informed me that a comp wasn't able to be booked because of availability (was told call was recorded). I understood and made arrangements to stay at an Airbnb nearby. We still went to the casino the same night I was trying to book the comp room. Drank at the bar, ate at Josiah's steakhouse, and did plenty of gambling on my Unity card. The next morning, I received a charge on my CC for a "no show" to a reservation I never had. I called customer service, who spoke to an assistant manager and eventually a manager (both refused to speak to me directly) and they would not credit back the $113.51 charge even after I explained what I was told by their "customer service agent" and with evidence that I was on site and spent over $1500 that night. I am through the area often and have frequented this new property (and previous property) dozens of times since opening in Feb, but I do NOT intend going coming back unless they are willing to make this right. To me money isn't nearly as important as the principle. If a company doesn't operate with integrity they won't have my business.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an absolute thrill! Just wrapped up a weekend at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, and it's hands down one of the best getaways I've had in years. From the moment I pulled up I knew I was in for something epic. The hotel itself is pure luxury—spacious, modern rooms with plush king beds that felt like sleeping on a cloud, floor-to-ceiling windows offering killer views of the pool or the bustling casino floor below, and bathrooms decked out with rainfall showers and high-end Molton Brown amenities. Check-in was a breeze with their app, and the staff? Friendly pros who remembered my name and even upgraded me to a Hard Rock suite as a welcome surprise. The vibe is electric but chill, with live music spilling from the lounges and that signature Hard Rock energy everywhere. But let's talk about the real star: the Casino. Oh man, it's massive and mesmerizing! Over 3,100 slots humming with jackpot potential, high-stakes poker rooms where the action never sleeps, and table games from blackjack to baccarat that had me glued for hours. I hit a sweet streak on the progressives and walked away up a few hundred—pure adrenaline! The non-smoking areas are generous, the drinks flow freely (shoutout to the complimentary cocktails at the high-limit lounge), and security is top-notch without feeling intrusive. Whether you're a casual player or a serious gambler, it's got that perfect mix of excitement and indulgence. Dining was on point too—scarfed down mouthwatering steaks at Council Oak and fresh sushi rolls poolside at Tanuki. The pool scene is resort-level fabulous with cabanas, waterfalls, and a lazy river that melted my stress away. Even squeezed in a spa treatment; the deep-tissue massage was heavenly. If you're craving Vegas-style glamour with a Florida twist, Seminole Hard Rock is your spot. Can't wait for round two—book it, you won't regret it! 1ComputerOutlet #HardRockVibes #CasinoWins

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park, located 25 miles northwest of Okeechobee, is a vast grassland offering activities such as camping, stargazing, and birdwatching. The park spans 54,000 acres and is home to diverse wildlife including crested caracara, deer, gopher tortoises, rabbits, red-shouldered hawks and wading birds.
Great camping experience! Stayed in the family loop, made reservations online. Spot had electrical hookup and water for RVs, but we were just in a tent. Bath house was clean and even had a large outdoor sink and a clothes dryer. Easy little trail to hike here as well. The sky looked beautiful at night, can definitely see more stars out here than in the city. Lots of little critters to see out here as well!

Had a wonderful camping experience here. They have charging point at each camping spots. And water tap as well. They have good washroom facilities too. I visited the park with my friends for star gazing. Had fun! Just need to book the camping spot well in advance if booking for a new moon day. Lots of folks come here for star gazing.

My friends and I had a great time at the campgrounds! The check-in process was seamless and the volunteers were very helpful. The campsites themselves were in good repair. Although, some of them did not provide adequate foliage as cover between neighboring sites. The trails were very nice to walk on, and the bathrooms were clean.

Was really pretty, we went tent camping at site #15. It was nice, saw lots of animals and pretty plants. Didn’t see any stars but that’s because it was cloudy. This isn’t the parks fault but I do wish they had a warning listed on this campsite as we were the only site that flooded during 30 minute heavy rain. We ended up leaving two days early since all our stuff got flooded out (again no fault of theirs we knew it was going to rain site #15 was the only that was flooding) Possibly put a warning on that campsite for tent campers. Otherwise loved all the flora and fauna we saw and the guy working the office was nice as well

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park is hands-down one of the best places in Florida to experience a truly dark night sky. Once the sun sets, the entire prairie opens up to a breathtaking spread of stars, you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye on a clear night. It feels quiet, wide-open, and almost otherworldly. If you’re into stargazing or astrophotography, this place is a dream. Just bring what you need and be ready to stay awhile; the sky show is worth every minute.
VR T — Google review
The park overall is amazing. There are many trails and the area is super isolated and peaceful. It's definitely one of the unique parks in Florida we've visited so far. Unspoiled experience of the Real Florida. Having said that, it seems to be understaffed and underfunded. The restroom area is outdated and the cleanliness is not the greatest. Regardless of a few of the shortfalls, we have truly enjoyed this park and the abundance of wildlife we've seen while staying here. We picked a great camping spot and enjoyed the laid-back quiet atmosphere.
Z B — Google review
Stayed here to try and get a glimpse of the Milky Way and was not disappointed! The sky was a bit cloudy in areas which made it lighter than ideal but we still saw a ton of shooting stars as well as the moon and Saturn rising in the morning. Lots of bugs so be prepared! We also saw lots of deer at all times of the day, lots of different sparrows, turkeys, hawks, and a couple of caracaras on our way out. Super cool! If you’re camping you can hear the cows mooing in the distance at night which made me laugh but also made it harder to sleep lol. Definitely want to come back again to see more stars and wildlife- just wish the light pollution wasn’t encroaching from the surrounding areas but what can you do. Bathrooms were clean so that’s always nice. Also! I called about my reservation beforehand and Karina (I hope I’m remembering correctly) was really really helpful and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Can’t wait to come back.

First of all the entire staff is awesome, very friendly and welcoming. Shout-out to my instructor Adam he is the bomb.com💣. Made me feel very comfortable and definitely enjoyed my experience gliding with him. 📢📢📢Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the ultimate you get the most air time and when I tell you it's worth every second. This is nothing like sky diving if you've done that before it literally felt like I was butter knife gliding across a fresh batch of butter no lie. It was that smoothe and the scenery was just. AMAZING 😍🤩🤩🤩 I'm definitely going back 🙌🏽❤️

The reservation was easy to make online, which also gets you a 20% discount. Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The weather was iffy with lots of cloud cover moving in, so I had to wait for about an hour before they deemed it safe to fly. I did not mind for a couple of reasons: 1) It showed me they were concerned about safety, 2) It's a relaxing setting out in the country. The young woman in the office, Lauren, was great at keeping me up to date on the status of my flight. My pilot, Allen, was awesome! He explained everything we would be experiencing in the flight very calmly which took the edge off my initial nervousness. The flight itself was an incredible experience! It was the closet thing to flying like a bird you could ever do, and it was a great way to celebrate my birthday. Thank you Florida Ridge Airsports!

This place is so cool! Smaller than other gator places I’ve been to, but the team here is very kind and funny. They do feeding shows twice a day and you can pay to feed the gators or do a “meet and greet”. Well worth the money! Loved this place and will definitely be back.

Found this place by mistake as we were driving by . It was a great time free parking lots of gators. The zoo keeper Brian was so friendly and gave us so much information. He took the time to tell my 6yr grandson about the gators. They have a small play area for the little ones . Also they have pigs, birds , turtles a donkey the gators are of all different sizes . The crocodiles were the scariest. Had a great time saw some of the shows and my grandson did the animal encounter going into a small tank to catch little gators Brian showed him how to grab the gators and lift it out of the water fun to watch . Brian is his new hero he told us . Planning to return with more family to have a great day . Go see for your self they are on US 27 .

Everyone we encountered on the farm was friendly! Kyle specifically did the gator feeding show on the bridge and did a great job. We also saw him multiple other times and he was happy to educate us and give us more information and experiences including information about the pigs, goats, bobcat, donkey, and Ricky the peacock. We got to see him feed the bobcat too. He really enjoys his job it seems and it shows- very friendly and personable. The shelters for the animals were impressive and you can tell that the animals are well taken care of and loved which I appreciate. Everything including the animal habitats were very clean. Lots of gators, crocs, and other animals! Nice experience if you have an appreciation of wildlife and the out doors. Several activities and fair prices.

I had such a great time at Gatorama! They have alligators and crocodiles on display, and it was so cool to see the different kinds up close. The highlight of my visit was the egg-hatching presentation — we even got to open an egg ourselves! Watching the baby gator use its little “egg tooth” to crack the shell was amazing. Overall, it was a really fun and memorable day. Highly recommend for families and anyone who loves wildlife!
Celia R — Google review
Great experience! The employees are super knowledgeable and it is obvious they care for all of the animals. Kyle did a phenomenal alligator feed show and his enthusiasm for his job was impressive. Great experience, I would recommend to anyone interested in alligators, crocodiles and other wildlife.

This was our 4th time going to Gatorama and partaking in the gator hatching. Every time it has been amazing! Once in a lifetime experience. We had a great time. People who work there are really nice. There's a lot of information. There's a walking thing that you go on to see all the animals. There's different age alligators, a donkey, some turtles, lots of stuff. Highly recommend. In the entrance building where you pay there's also lots of souvenirs.

They use their own orange juice to make their own soft serve orange ice cream and it is the most refreshing ice cream ever. Couple all of that with sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair or a swing while the breeze blows through and you have a perfect afternoon. Now they’ve added some fun little things like cornhole and pool to the mix. It’s a great little stop!

Babcock Ranch Preserve is a vast conservation area that boasts breathtaking landscapes and offers an array of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping. This nature preserve covers more than 73,000 acres of land and features stunning natural beauty that is a must-see for tourists visiting the area. Visitors can take in the sights while enjoying delicious food from the snack shop or browsing souvenirs in the gift shop.
This was so much fun! The extended family will enjoy the Babcock Ranch Eco Tour. It's a very good price for 90 minutes of entertainment and education. We saw lots of animals from "the buggy", a converted school bus. Several groups of animals came running enthusiastically for the corn the driver threw out to them. Lot's of great photo opportunities and ALLIGATORS!

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled along Route 31 near Babcock Ranch, the charming 31 Produce/Cracker Shack Cafe is a delightful stop for breakfast and lunch. With its rustic exterior featuring an old water tower, this cafe exudes a down-to-earth vibe that welcomes visitors. Before stepping inside, you can browse through fresh fruits and vegetables available for sale. Families will love the kids' area where little ones can enjoy gem mining activities—it's a hit with school groups!
Delicious breakfast and very little wait time- even though the sign said they were short-staffed. After breakfast, we walked around to see the animals. We didn’t purchase any produce on this visit but will return for that another day. We enjoyed this place very much.

31 Produce/Cracker Shack 12-17-24 This place is along route 31 near Babcock Ranch. The outside of the building is old and beat up with a water tower along the front area. There are some fruits and vegetables for sale before you go inside. The water tower in the front of the building is part of kid’s area mining for gems and such. A School bus full of kids were mining and having a great time while we were there. They do have a couple outside tables to dine at. Once inside there was an area with Jelly’s, Jams, Toys, Salsa, Munchies plus other old and ends for sale. We found a seat quickly. This place was larger than it looked but it was clean and neat. Our waitress came over fast and I ordered the 31 Club which had Ham, Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, American Cheese, and Mayo served on Bread of your Choice. It also came with Cole Slaw and Chips. I ordered Fries instead of chips. The wife ordered a BLT which came with Chips. Our sandwiches came out fast and they were huge and looked so good. Everything on them looked fresh and that Club was very good and so large I could not finish it. All at a price that can’t be beat 11.49. My fries were done perfectly and there was plenty of them for 2.49. My wife loved her large BLT, Bacon was done to her liking. The Tomato’s and Lettuce and looked fresh and this sandwich had plenty of Bacon on it all for 9.49. You can beat their prices. Even the sodas are in large 32 oz cups and believe it or not they have some Beer and Wines. This is old Florida at its best. It doesn’t look like much on the outside or inside and is not fancy at all. If you want fancy go elsewhere. If you want large budget friendly sandwiches you must stop here. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars for the large sandwiches, friendly service, and inexpensive menu items. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More Reviews Gulf Coast Terry

The cafe part was very disappointing The server at the restaurant was very rude from the moment we sat, to taking the order and bringing the check. The outside where the fruits and vegetables are and the petting Zoo is way nicer and the lady was very informative. If I could rate the outside I would with 5 🌟 next time I will met sure I eat before going.

Went here for a school field trip with my youngest. I felt the activities were a bit rushed with the little ones in my opinion. But it was a good experience.

I would give zero if available. We waited 15 mins to be seated in a restaurant that had 6 open tables and tons of staff. We left at 15mins so it would have been longer. All the orders going out to tables were incorrect as well. Ideally you could shop as it’s super cute in there and a whole produce area outside however all the shelves were empty inside and out. Love to support local but not if they don’t have their act together

We stopped here with my baby goats, and they loved the place. They especially loved all the animals, and the tiny goats and the donkeys in particular. The crops and grounds are all very clean and tidy, and the people are friendly. I observed that few pesticides and herbicides are used (if any). One of the nicest produce farms I have ever seen. Lovely club house. Great golf shop and clean lockers. Not really ideal to get the pro shop staff to open the locker all the time. Also, bar and restaurant is really really loud. Aside that, great sport to have a bite after golf.

The lodging was OFF the chart! It took me a couple of days, just to take it in. But teamed up with world class golf.... Hold on. Red or Blue? Both have one of a kind greatness. Special holes that take your breath away. Black? I can't say. Equally spectacular, but to me Red or Blue. Period. I walked, with a caddie. In the future I would walk with a cart. On a personal note I don't like those old English buggy 2 wheeler. I wish they had the modern 3 wheel push carts. ( Red, Blue, black are the golf course names )

Such a great experience every time I come here. Course is in excellent condition. Love the taco stand @ the turn. "Big Country" was our caddy and he did a great job. Highly recommend every golfer comes and plays here.

The scenery is incredible, elevation changes, water hazards, wildlife, and two great courses! Service was outstanding. From the moment I stepped out of the car, the shop staff, the caddy, and the restaurant at the clubhouse, all were impressive! Can't wait to get back. Difficult courses, so bring plenty of golf balls and play the correct tees!!
