Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Cohanzick Zoo, located in Bridgeton within a 1100-acre city park, is New Jersey's first and oldest zoo established in 1934. Spanning 15 acres, it offers free admission and educational programs while housing over 100 animals including more than 200 birds and mammals from around the world. Despite not having as many animals as larger zoos like Philly or Cape May, Cohanzick Zoo boasts major species such as tigers and bears without the crowds.
This was a great FREE zoo! A small place but plan on spending a little over an hour. It is an old zoo and the spaces are fairly small but it is easily walkable. We loved the big cats! Two tigers a mountain lion, a fishing cat, and two leopards. There's plenty of fun animals to look at! There's a small bathroom but no other buildings or concessions. It's an independent walk but quiet and right off the main road.

We love this free zoo it’s friendly it’s clean. The animals are well taken care of. It’s a great day with the kids plus there’s a splash park outside in the parking lot so when you’re done, you can take the kids over there and have some fun we’ve been here so many times we love it
Jodilynne B — Google review
It's a free, local, small zoo. You can't really complain too much about it since it is free. You can finish walking through the zoo at a leisurely pace while checking out all of the exhibits within 45 mins. There is plenty of parking as well. The only reason I am docking a star is because of maintenance that was ongoing at the time and because of fall foliage covering the walkways. Otherwise, it is a great place to bring children for a quick stroll. There is plenty of parking as well.
Ken F — Google review
Very nice place to come with the kids. With being handicap accessible and having the splash pad for the children and adults, it's a cool place to unwind with the kids.... One thing that must be said they should open their little mini golf area (maybe make it a little bigger. You have the space) it could bring in a lot of revenue for the zoo. Another thing is that the donation box should have been big and brighter to stand out. I walked passes it but did find it to donate.. Very pleased and glad the Damm was fixed.
Deana A — Google review
Has a small walkable or wheelchair able footprint. Restrooms are in the front. It took about an hour for me and my 3-year-old granddaughter to stroll and see everything. On the other side of the parking lot, there is a splash pad, which I wish it were warmer. We could have stayed longer. But she was freezing a d cut it short. They also have showers and 2 restrooms. I would definitely go again with her when it's hotter.
Evonne H — Google review
Great first zoo experience for my daughter who just turned one. Most of the animals were out and visible. Monkeys were very active! The animals you'd expect to be hard to see, were... raccoon, marmoset, hawk... otherwise everything was out. We got there around 1115a...left by 1230, quick visit. Very nice, would recommend for little ones. Its free to enter, but donations are encouraged, so if youre going, bring cash!!
Amy S — Google review
This is a nice Zoo that's very well kept. The animals are very active, at least from what my fiancée and I witnessed, and the staff were very friendly. Also its free to enter (they do take donations of supplies for all the animals if you wish to help).

Loved this hidden gem of a family place. Great way to see wildlife and its FREE!! The take donations and I strongly encourage you to donate. Great for families and school trips.

Science museum
The Delaware Children's Museum is a captivating destination for families, offering interactive exhibits and activities designed to engage children and adults alike. With a focus on science, animals, art, technology, history, and more, the museum provides an educational and entertaining experience. Visitors can explore hands-on exhibits covering topics such as money management, space exploration, and the workings of the human heart within its 37,000-square-foot space.
My kids love this place. There is tons to do, your kids won’t get bored. I love that most of the activities are locally themed, so you learn more about Delaware. Staff is super friendly. Membership is very reasonably priced. Great place to go anytime, but especially when the weather keeps you from going to the park.
Dani H — Google review
Had family bring grandchildren to spend a couple of hours watching the kids enjoy all the hands-on activities. First time here. Large free parking lot. 2 restaurants with the same parking lot access. Security is a little light on who enters, so be sure to keep a watch over your children. Admission was $12 per person. Can purchase a membership, if desired. Saw at least 2 restroom areas. Many hands-on activities with different themes, including sports, construction, water, and fresh fruits and veggies, produce stand. Activities for all ages, young and old alike. Parents can participate too. Small gift shop, but need to pay at front desk.
Shelly D — Google review
We went for their monthly $2 admission family night they do & it's such a neat place to take your young children...and if you're like me, it's fun for you too! There's SO many awesome things for the kids to do from the massive interactive water table, pirate ship, train, race car, sports area, giant building blocks, art center, fun photo booth & gift shop, little "racing" area, or maybe even to the giant tree climb in the center of everything where there's a slide to get down or they can climb through this netted maze down to the bottom..this place has made education fun again for everyone! 1000/1000 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Edit to add: I've went twice, once with my niece & sister to celebrate my nieces birthday and then again with my sister & niece (she's 5, just for reference 🙂) and brought my oldest daughter along with us (she's 12 & had a BLAST as well!)
Kristen D — Google review
Visited 11/8/25. Great place for the kids to run around and burn off some energy. Plenty of STEAM-related activities for children and lots of chairs for the adults! #PlaygroundAround

The Delaware Children's Museum is an essential destination for families with kids, known for its stimulating and innovative environment that encourages learning through play. The museum features a variety of interactive areas, each designed to captivate young minds with hands-on activities and educational elements. The attentive and friendly staff go above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience for all visitors, making it a fantastic place for children to explore and discover new things through engaging exhibits. Whether you're looking for a fun day out or an educational adventure, this museum has something exciting for every child.
Joseph D — Google review
Extremely fun children’s museum with tons of things for all ages to enjoy. The crochet funnel slide was a big hit. Free parking is a big bonus too.
Christina D — Google review
The Delaware Children's Museum is an interactive place for children 3-4 and up. Ot combines sports, sensory and pretend play activities. There is a water play area where children can play with boats or manipulate their own damn. In addition, there is a Cafe kids can go to to pick their own fruits and vegetables by color, pay for them, and serve their guests. Kids can dress up as pirates, use play swords, and steer a ship. There's a quicker tree trunk nook for reading books. I also thought the little mechanic shop was cool. Your little athletes may also play basketball or test their speed at pitching a ball. There is a boardwalk behind the museum with a mini gold area ad well. The only downsides were the small gift shop and parking lot. Parking is free, but it's a little walk on a hot day.
Ebony H — Google review
This was such a fun place to visit for our family! It is situated on the river and there are other activities and restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed the in/out privileges after buying the day pass, so we left for lunch and a bike ride and came back to finish up our day.

The River Walk is a stunning destination that offers a romantic atmosphere, especially when illuminated at night. As you stroll along this picturesque path, you'll encounter delightful spots like Continental Yards, the Beer Garden, and Banks Seafood Kitchen. The ambiance is perfect for couples looking to create special memories—one visitor even proposed under twinkling lights! This was/is great for out of towners like me. Sometimes you just want a change of scenery. Hop on a train from Chi town... NY.... Charm city.... DC or Philly to little ole Wilmington De. . Just a few hours away than enjoy River walk park... located right outside the train station! There are lots of activities along the walk -restaurants.. variety -from Peruvian to Ice cream shops. Events- movie theater, mini golf, childrens museum. Art work - peppered in along the path. An extensive array of trees, plants and flowers -some native to DE I had never seen before. Yes there are benches along the path and security on bicycles -I felt very safe. I met a friend from PA here... im from MD. We had a great day here- had breakfast at the local market place than walked the path, enjoying activities as we went. Id meet here again~

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem Along the Water — Beautiful, Clean, and Worth the Walk The Riverwalk in Wilmington was such a refreshing surprise. Peaceful, beautifully maintained, and lined with waterfront dining, art, and green spaces — it’s perfect for everything from a morning stroll to a sunset date night. Whether you're out with family, walking solo for some fresh air, or looking for a scenic backdrop for photos or content, this spot delivers. Bonus: there’s often live music or local events happening nearby, which adds to the charm. Safe, walkable, and full of character — definitely one of Delaware’s best-kept lifestyle gems. I’ll absolutely be back.
Amanda T — Google review
Nice walk. Just same here to walk off dinner cause we ate too much. Walked almost the whole thing. Very lively when we came. Especially near the mini golf area and ice cream area.
Justin D — Google review
I strolled through the River Walk this past weekend. The views of Downtown Wilmington are absolutely beautiful, and the area is kept very clean. I also saw what I thought was some fauns on the other side of the river. During the walk, you will see plenty of restaurants, a beer garden, a mini-golf course (which is closed for the season), and a couple of museums that are in close proximity. The restroom is close to the Visitor's Center. This is a definite must-do whether you are a local or an out of towner like me.
Lisa S — Google review
Part Boardwalk part concrete walk, in downtown area, along the Christina River. Several restaurants, one was playing live music. A mini golf place, small playground, but not much else for activities. A beautiful 3-masted ship has a warf there. At the end of the it connects into a nature walk among the tidal flats. Not many people around on a mid-September Saturday afternoon. Bike rentals available. A good place for a walk or food, but not clear how lively the area is.
Michael M — Google review
Nice walk along the river. Paved, clean and landscaped. Some parts of the river are nicer than others. But it's nice for a stroll after dinner. Saw lots of people jogging, walking, skating/scooting. Places to sit, and watch the water. Relaxing.
Lisa L — Google review
Out of towner and staying at a nearby hotel. Several restaurants to choose from without driving was a plus. Nice area to get some steps in without driving.

The Grand Opera House

Opera house
Sights & Landmarks
The Grand Opera House, located in Wilmington, Delaware, has been a source of entertainment for over 140 years. It offers a wide range of live performances including opera, symphony, ballet and Broadway shows. The historic building was constructed in 1871 as part of a Masonic temple and is known for its stunning Victorian architecture. With more than 120 performances annually across three venues, there's something to suit every taste.
We went to see Opera Delaware's world premiere of the opera "Fearless" here and loved both the performance as well as the opera house. We're lucky to have an elegant, beautiful opera house in Delaware. It was a Sunday performance so we were able to easily find street parking, but there are garages nearby as well.
Naba B — Google review
Really nice old style opera house style theater with good views , from what I could see, for most seating. The sound for Melissa Etheridge was excellent, as it was clear and loud enough, better than some theaters where you still hear people talking and yelling. One negative that I noticed was that the staff were quite rude, sometimes downright nasty and a bit anal to a good percentage of patrons. The way they talked to people and the way they stood in your view of the stage was really disappointing. Maybe they just have a problem with the LGBT community, which in my eyes is unacceptable. Everyone was there to have a great time and no one should be talked to like that. Sorry about the poor quality photos, my phone is old and slow, unlike me. 🤣🤣🤣
Jay S — Google review
I love seeing a show here. The acoustics are amazing. The staff is unbelievably friendly. We've seen Chris Botti, Esperanza Spalding, Trombone Shorty, Get the Led Out and others.
Shawn — Google review
Most of the seats on the second floor have an obstruction. There is a speaker hanging down on the other side of the stage blocking the view otherwise it was beautiful.
Lauri C — Google review
Attended the Fearless: The Taylor Swift Experience. The show was great! I’ve lived here 25+ years and this was the first time attending an event here. The employees were super nice, especially the ladies working the bar. The ushers were polite and made sure everyone found their seats. They even took pictures for folks which I thought was super nice as well. There are a number of parking lots in the area so that wasn’t an issue. We parked near the DoubleTree and it only cost us $4. There’s ample food nearby and all within walking distance. We’ll be back!
Dan M — Google review
The Delaware Rock & Roll Induction Ceremony 2025 was a wonderful experience at the Baby Grand. All the staff I dealt with were excellent!
Laura S — Google review
Worst place ever to see a concert!!! We were told to sit down at the seats that we paid for! If u don't want anybody in front of u dancing, then stay home and watch the concert on TV. Unless it's a rule at the opera house, then the ushers shouldn't be able to tell u to sit down. My hb and I go to many concerts, and we have never been told to sit down by a usher!!! I felt like we were at a nursing home event! Don't bother coming here bc it's a waste of time and money! They should refund our 3 seats for the George Thorogood concert!
Esther C — Google review
Thanks for another fabulous show. It is easy to park and walk in. The volunteer ushers are welcoming, friendly and helpful. They gave 200,000 hours of volunteer time last year! Give them a big thank you! Security inside and outside is top notch.

Nestled in the scenic Brandywine Park, the Brandywine Zoo is Delaware's only zoo and offers a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. This charming little zoo features an array of fascinating animals, including playful lemurs, capybaras, bobcats, majestic condors, and eagles. The intimate setting allows families to connect with wildlife up close while exploring engaging exhibits like the Madagascar display showcasing adorable lemurs.
Me and my wife had taken our grandchildren to Brandywine years ago, we decided to go on our own. The zoo is an amazing little gem snuggled in the Brandywine park area. The zoo is small but it has an amazing collection of smaller animals that in our eyes are just right for little ones. They have a petting area, areas for the kids to explore and a stage for people to sit and watch zoo events. Beautifully maintained in a great setting.
Joe L — Google review
This place is a nice zoo, humble in size ,magical nonetheless. There are a variety of activities for both adults and kids of all ages. Suitated next to the Brandywine River, where there are other park venues not associated with the park however ,a nice compliment for your day. Vendors a plenty, beautiful scenery, happy people. Customer service is wonderful and the prices are fair. Bring a cushion of$ just to be safe.
Aaron M — Google review
It's an excellent zoo for smaller children. Very easy walking, basically one path in and same path out. Not lots of animals but those they have are interesting. Free parking at the park, and nice place for lunch or picnic after. Playground short drive / walking distance from zoo.
Aaron R — Google review
This is a very small Zoo nestled in a very nice park in Wilmington delaware. I wouldn't expect much in terms of size, but the staff is all very friendly and the animals are all very cute and fun to watch I went on a Tuesday morning with my mother and we were able to complete the whole park in about 45 minutes I was very impressed with the amount of caregivers I saw in the animals' enclosures, whether they were feeding them or tidying up the enclosure. the staff were all very friendly. If you wanted you could bring a picnic for afterwards and enjoy that by the creek. Parking was free and I thought the parking lot was a little small. They have a nice little gift shop. I don't think the snack stands were open so I can't comment on that. I would recommend this place for a quick outing before you go out for lunch or dinner.
M. W — Google review
Had a great time visiting the Brandywine Zoo, I'd say a visit would take an hour or two. It is much smaller than most Zoos I've visited but it has no lack of charm. The animals were very lively and the staff was incredibly welcoming. My favorite exhibit would have to be the anteater as I've never been able to see one so close before. I also think having an area dedicated to petting the different goats that also had dedicated staff was an absolutely wonderful touch, I know my family certainly enjoyed it. I think more Zoos could learn a thing or two by the way the Brandywine Zoo is run. What it lacks in size in makes up for with the wonderful staff.
Alekos M — Google review
This was a good place to show up at as an impromptu activity and it was nice to have an attraction that only cost $9 per adult to get into, but it was so tiny, had some closed exhibits, and even while trying to drag the experience out it was only about a half hour visit. Still, it's a nice facility and it's connected to the Brandywine Park and central Wilmington so it made for a solid component of an enjoyable weekend afternoon.
Mark — Google review
I went about an hour before closing, so although I felt more rushed. I was told the animals are a lot more active because of the time of day and it being close to feeding time. I got so many great pictures and had a great experience! Enjoy! 😀
Margie M — Google review
We love visiting this zoo. The people who work there are very knowledgeable, and its a small park where we can visit for an hour and have a picnic lunch. I love having a membership here.

It is a beautiful venue for weddings, with excellent catering provided by JAM caterers. The food is outstanding and has been praised by guests as the best wedding food they have ever had. The Tyler team ensures that all details and decor come together smoothly on the special day.
Photographed a wedding here and the grounds are just as beautiful in-person as they are online. Staff was great too!! Perfect for any bride looking for that Springtime garden vibe for their wedding.

Gravel paths and tar paths great for walkers (rolators) , Use bathroom in The Barn. Easily accessible. Ask at desk where benches are on paths if you need them. Don't forget to stop at store in visitor center. Beautiful any time of year.

This place is beautiful, was able to visit with a volunteer group, I was the bus driver. Lots of old buildings with history back to late 1600s and 1700s. There are paved trails and woodland hikes, they have events, weddings, church groups. It is a very peaceful place, some odd buildings to see. If you visit make sure to find the book to read along the trails, it starts around the goblin house. I was told to buy tickets online, I would save a few $

Beautifully landscaped areas as well as natural hiking areas. There was also a wedding and it looks like a fabulous place for one. Would give 5 stars except the hiking trails are not cleary marked and the map is not accurate.

Lovely! Parking: easily accessible! Very close to the entrance of the arboretum! Restrooms: well maintained and clean! Experience: multiple sights to enjoy! Can go through as fast or as slow as you’d like! I was able to see every attraction on the map and took about 2 hours or so, but you could definitely go through faster! Tickets: I went through my local library for a free pass!!!

Ridley Creek State Park is an expansive area comprising of woodlands and meadows, providing visitors a refreshing retreat to indulge in various outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and picnicking. The park features both paved and unpaved walking trails spread out on over 2,606 acres that are perfect for jogging, biking or dog walking.
It was a pleasant day with beautiful weather so we decided to go for a hike after our stay at Grace winery Inn. We hiked approximately 6 to 8 miles throughout a well marked loop. For the most part, it was flat with light challenging inclines and declines, but overall good workout. An overall perfect visit.

Beautiful area. Hadn't been here in about 38 years or so. The only drawback to this place is the parking situation. I tried getting here early but it didn't work. Had to park down the road on the shoulder. Otherwise, lots of trails and beautiful scenery. For some reason or other, some of the trails did not show up on my GPS. Some of the trails are rather hilly due to the varying terrain. Some historical buildings throughout and lots of markings on the numerous tree varieties. Worth the parking aggravation.

Friends told us to meet them at this park. We are from out of state and never heard of Ridley Creek State park. We walked over four miles but that’s just a short walk here. There are miles of roads and hiking trails to walk on. The trails are well marked. Take a map at the kiosk or take a pic of the map if you plan to walk the trails. We walked on the park road here and only had three cars pass us during our hour on the road. I can’t wait to get back and explore the trails. We met at the Hunting Hill Mansion parking lot above the park office. It was a great place for us to park as there is EV charging. A two-plug, EV station is available for public use for free.

Riidley has a permanent orienteering course that you can find on the DVOA site. There's a regular course with numbers & a long course that includes letters. It's a great way to see the park & improve your map reading skills....while enjoying a fantastic park.

Easily accessible. There are some parts wheelchairs can't get through. But all in all great place for a hike. Couple of bridges over creeks. We even found some Morel mushrooms there too. Love the fact they have multiple trash bins. For dog owners, don't have to hang on your doggies schnitzel in a bag the whole hike. Def one of my favorite places to hike now. Planning on going back asap.

Ridley Creek State Park is absolutely gorgeous at all times of year but especially in the fall. This is a great place to drive through or spend the day and visit with kids or family. Tons of space for activities and fun. The video I filmed showcases the trees in the fall as we drove through the park. I had the 360 camera mounted to a seat and held by the person in the front seat for extra safety. I hope you enjoy the views
YawA — Google review
Great place to go on a hike or bike ride as well as excellent fishing in Ridley Creek thanks to the Delco anglers who stock a lot of brook trout which are the native trout to this area. Make sure you check out the fishing area just off of Barren Rd above the fly fishing waterfall. Great trail and great fishing. I've seen everything from mink, river otters to Make eagles and much much more!!

Independence National Historical Park is a sprawling 20-block area in the city, housing significant landmarks such as Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. The park has seen a steady increase in visitors, with plans to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. Notable projects for this milestone include restoring the First Bank of the United States and the Declaration House, where Thomas Jefferson penned the historic document.
The beginning of our country. To stand where our fore father's stood. Preserving the original buildings is amazing. 90% of the woodwork is original. It is just amazing and well worth to see where our country started. With only a few delagates from our 13 colonies could agree of how our country should be run and we live by it still today. Breath taking.

We had a really wonderful visit. The interpretive ranger staff are so thoughtful and knowledgeable. It is always wild to see this relatively modest place where so many of the roots of our country were planted. I love how we can both acknowledge the complicated humanity of our founders, appreciate the heart of it, and grow to do better. As someone on wheels, I also appreciated the access. The options were mostly obvious, and for the one spot a temporary ramp was needed it was up before I could blink. The whole area is thoughtful and well curated. Be careful though. I came here with my fifth grader who had just finished studying American History - and left with a full set of the foundational documents of our nation. 😳😂 You've been warned. (She has been updating me from the Bill of Rights regularly since then.)

Impressive. Fantastic space with many interesting artifacts and displays. Great combo ticket with the Museum of the American Revolution. Convenient Starbucks in the building. Interesting movie in the round got things off to a good start. Suffrage exhibit was really well done. I think my favorite thing was the room with the life size statues of the signers of the constitution.

Amazing Independence National Historical Park! I visited Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, and it was an amazing experience! This historic site is a must-visit for anyone interested in American history. The park is home to iconic landmarks, including the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. The rich history and beautiful surroundings make it a perfect spot for exploration. Highly recommend it!

You need to reserve your tour time in the visitor's center or on the National Parks App or website. It is a very informative tour with a park ranger sharing important facts during the tour.

Great learning experience. Get there early and grab a map. There’s plenty of American history to learn. Make sure you get you Philly Cheesesteak.

Between Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin's grave site and the visitor center, you should plan to spend an entire day in this area. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance for any tours. All mobility levels can access these sites.

The Liberty Bell, last rung in 1846, is a 2,080-pound symbol of freedom with a biblical inscription and a famous crack. It holds great significance as an icon of freedom and independence in America. Located across from Independence Hall on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, the bell offers a perfect view of the historic site. The importance of Independence Hall lies in its role as the location where the Declaration of Independence was signed, making it a crucial part of American history.
Recently visited iconic landmark of Philadelphia Great quick trip. A lot of information in an organized layout. Touched on a the little detail about the bell and it's history, not just the well know information. The staff are all relaxed and knowledgeable to answer any questions and give a little of background information when asked. Close up 360 view of the bell which is great for pictures and videos. You can also see the current bell and the tower that it's in right behind the liberty bell. Nice walking area surrounding to liberty bell museum. If you are in town or leave near by must visit once.

This is something I have always wanted to see, the history is fascinating. I had planned a whole day but there definitely is not enough to keep you busy for the whole day so do research and take in the city, it is unbelievably walkable, easy to navigate and a beautiful city

The birthplace of the United States Constitution, the Liberty Bell at the Independence Historical National Park is a fun way to spend a few hours exploring and learning more about our country’s history. Surrounded by 18th century architect, visitors can still enter the very same buildings where our founding fathers wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, passed law, and came together as a nation.

Did not know liberty bell symbolizes freedom to so many people. This place provides good history how Liberty bell services a reminder life is what you willing to fight for. The ranger is very knowledgeable even show us how to take a good “daylight “ shot of the crack from the bottom of the backside of the bell.

The Liberty Bell is a significant piece of US history. The fact that they don’t charge to go in is fantastic cues can be quite long but within 10 to 15 minutes you’re in. Really well organised. A must see if you’re in Philadelphia.

This was one of the other items that I was blessed enough to check off my bucket list as well. I learned a lot about the history of the bell, as there is a indoor museum dedicated to it.

The Liberty Bell stands as a witness to America’s journey—from colonization and independence to the abolition movement. Its famous crack has become a timeless symbol of freedom and equality—truly powerful and meaningful. 🫡🔔🇺🇸

I didn't think I would like this museum as much as I did but it was surprisingly good. It's free admission, but there was a significant line to get through security. Once inside it's not that large, but the information and stories provided were excellent. I was amazed at how complete a history they gave, highlighting the contradictions of this symbol of freedom while systematically oppressing women and minorities in this country. It's also why I came in the first place, given how we're currently headed down the same path. It's more of a physical representation of our constant struggle for the fractured freedoms and liberty that we all strive for in America.

Reading Terminal Market is a renowned indoor farmer's market that has been serving a diverse range of food, housewares, and local specialties since 1893. It offers an array of dining options including Townsend Wentz's Oloroso and Jose Garces' Amada.
Reading Terminal Market is a foodie paradise, and my visit was a perfect example of why. The variety here is unmatched—you can walk a few steps and go from authentic international dishes to Philly classics. We started with some hearty Indian food: a rich spinach and stew dish paired with flavorful rice. The rice was perfectly seasoned, and the stew had layers of spice. Of course, no trip to Philly is complete without a cheesesteak, so we grabbed one from uncle Gus restaurant. The bread was fresh with that perfect crunch from the sesame seeds, the onions were caramelized just right, and the meat and cheese were melt-in-your-mouth good. It really hit the spot. What I love about Reading Terminal Market is that you can try completely different cuisines in one visit. In just one meal, we went from Indian flavors to an iconic Philly classic, and everything tasted authentic and delicious. Yes, it’s busy, but that’s the fun of it—it feels alive, full of people and energy. The food quality makes it more than worth it. Whether you’re a local or visiting Philly, you won’t leave hungry, and you’ll probably already be planning what you want to try next time.

This a very unique place! It’s a must see and the perfect spot for lunch. There’s many different food options here, all of a wide variety! From raw oysters to soul food to sushi to Indian. There are a few dessert places as well. The meat market and fish market have lots of things to choose from if you plan on grabbing and preparing at home! We visited on a Saturday and it was overwhelmingly packed with people, however it is open 7 days a week, so I suggest visiting on a weekday.

Incredible space with multiple vendors, shops, and restaurants! Can’t recommend this market enough - we’ve literally told everyone about it. We are so glad we stopped in at the recommendation of our Lyft driver and we were so impressed. Coffee, Chocolate Pastries, multicultural cuisine options, and at least one or two bar / restaurants spaces. Not only was it an amazing adventure just walking the aisles, but everything was clean and the service at all the stalls was incredible. People were polite and it was easy to navigate the space! Highly recommend stopping Reading Terminal if you’re in the area!

We went on a Sunday at noon. I have to say it was busy but was still easy to get around with a toddler. We went to The Original Turkey and it was so delicious reminds me of Thanksgiving but so much better because the turkey was juicy and tender. The stuffing had so much flavor and the gravy was savory. The stuffing club was to die for. Next was dessert and we decided on Wilts!!!! Chocolate strawberries was so sweet and delicious. Strawberries by themselves were fragrant. Then Muller Chocolate Co. We got a variety of truffles and chocolate covered pretzels. As a tourist I definitely recommend these places but I do say go and look around and try things that you might fancy! There is plenty

Oh my. What an incredible place to get a true taste of Philly. From cheesesteaks and pretzels to baked goods and fresh meats and veggies - there’s something around every corner! Enjoyed a fresh pressed juice, bagels and donuts while we strolled. Bought some local libations home with us. Can’t wait to go try some more spots throughout the market

A must visit! TONS of vendors and delicious food throughout the building. Anything you could want, it’s going to be in here. I loved the neon signs and how much there was throughout. Great deals galore, and everyone was friendly and helpful if you had a question. I wish I had something like this closer to home; I would visit Philly again just to come Back here!

Our favourite place in Philly! Open everyday from 8am-6pm. If you visit Philly, this is a MUST! Gets very busy on weekends and it’s sometimes difficult to move around because of how narrow some of the aisles are. There are so many food options here, from Vegan food, cookies, doughnuts, delis, cheese and chocolate boutiques. There are washrooms here and some very limited seating.

What a cultural gem. From cheese steaks, to pastry shops, candy stores, groceries, seafood & meat markets, Amish diner, smoothies, gifts, and more. Prices range from fair to touristy. It's clean, including the restrooms, the service is kind, and the options are endless.

The Franklin Institute is a vibrant and family-friendly science museum in Philadelphia, offering numerous interactive exhibits and displays, as well as a planetarium. It is one of the region's most popular science museums with a wide array of kid-friendly exhibitions. Visitors can explore the abundance of museums and historical attractions in Greater Philadelphia, play in the city's expansive parks and playgrounds, and reconnect with animals and nature. Additionally, the institute features an outdoor spot on its fifth floor that offers breathtaking views of the city.
I love this museum. There are sooooo many things to look and very interactive. I spent almost the whole day to visit all the sections and enjoyed very much. There are good shows at different time too. Highly recommend The Sky Tonigh. One of the best ones I ever watched in a museum. The Liquid air show was also fun. Kids would definitely love it. One negative thing is the stuff in the gift shop is pretty expensive, and lots of them don't have a price.

Very cool place. Full of cool things to keep us adults and my daughter intrigued. The Eatery was a nice way to break up the day and grab some food. Parking garage was easy to use too.

Best museum ever! It's so educational! My two favorite exhibits of the museum were the live show and the heart! I was so amazed by the heart exhibit that I went three times! The love shows that the guy did the liquor, and the air was so cool. I learned that nitrogen can exist in three states: liquid, solid, and gas, and the sheep heart dissection was fascinating. I thoroughly enjoy myself in the museum. Please take your kids to it and read all the signs and interact with the exhibit!

The best museums are the ones like Franklin! It is structurally appealing to look at from the outside, and it looks great. The tickets are the usual price for an attraction like this and are discounted for kids. It's one of the most interactive museums I've ever been to. There were so many different exhibits to see and things to do, so I couldn't do it all in a few hours. Would 100% recommend for a rainy day or overall activity to spend with or without kids. I believe the sports section is temporary, but that was my personal favorite!
Lyla F — Google review
Love this place. Very cool for kids and adults. The one downside is the parking ticket situation. If you're a member, you have to bring the parking ticket inside to the customer service desk for validation in order to get the discount. It would be more convenient to self validate at the parking kiosk using your membership card/number. If you forget you ticket you have to go into the parking lot and the all the way back into the building to get it validated. Very inconvenient for big families with lots of small children. If you forget your ticket your out $25. There should be a work around for when members lose their tickets. Also, note, we went on a Wednesday. Lots of school trips. This is helpful if you have small children who might get trampled in the shuffle of big kids.

I grew up with the Franklin Institute—memberships, school field trips, invention camp, even a 50th birthday party. Now, I bring my own kids and share in the same joy of hands-on, engaged learning. We love the iconic walk-through heart and the massive train you can actually board and explore. The museum is packed with interactive exhibits that invite kids (and adults) to hands on tinker, and discover. The rotating special exhibits are always top-notch, and the permanent ones continue to hold their value over time. On our most recent visit, we stumbled into the planetarium—what a treat. The 15–20 minute constellation show was a great new experience, and my kids gave it a big thumbs up. Highly recommend this best in class museum. We’ll keep coming back—forever and ever.

I picked up a Philadelphia City Pass earlier this year, and by August we finally decided to cash it in. Three outings crammed into nine days: because why pace yourself when you can binge museums like they’re a Netflix series? First stop was the Franklin Institute, a place I hadn’t visited since childhood. Back then it felt like a temple of science and wonder. As an adult, it still has its magic, but it’s more of a mixed bag: part awe, part “well, that could certainly use some WD-40.” The day started off smooth. The City Pass check-in was easy, and the whole place never felt oppressively crowded. We could take our time at exhibits without standing in lines or being elbowed aside. And the good stuff was genuinely good: that massive steam locomotive in the collection hall is still jaw-dropping, the revamped optical illusions section is both playful and a little disorienting, and the “Your Brain” exhibit was hands-down the star of the day. It managed to be both engaging and eerie—the neuron model in particular was mesmerizing, glowing webs of activity that looked like they’d been lifted from the Upside Down. The kids were hypnotized; pulling them away from it felt like trying to separate a teenager from Wi-Fi. The iconic walk-through heart is still around, a bit dated but endearing in a “retro science fair” sort of way. Even the cafeteria pulled off a minor miracle with fruit, whole-grain snacks, and prices that didn’t require selling a kidney. The building itself, though, might outshine everything else. Between the soaring dome, the columns, the tucked-away crown molding, and the ceilings painted like quiet treasures, it’s a place where you almost forget you’re there to look at exhibits because the walls themselves are art. But let’s not romanticize it too much. The parking garage was cramped, overpriced, and about as relaxing as driving through a car wash with your windows down. Once inside, the museum’s layout was a mess. Poor signage, confusing hallways—it would’ve been easy to miss entire sections if we weren’t deliberately combing through. And let’s talk about security—or rather, the lack of it. No bag checks, no real staff presence, just the feeling that you could wander around unmonitored forever. Efficient, yes, but also unnerving. And the interactive exhibits? A letdown. Too many broken or outdated to the point of embarrassment. Nothing ruins the energy of discovery like hammering on a button only to watch it sputter out a dim, apologetic light. A lot of these things desperately need tuning, updating, or straight-up replacing. The “special exhibit” was the final insult: some “wonders of the body” deal that cost $20 extra. It looked as thrilling as reading medical pamphlets in a waiting room. I couldn’t help but compare it to when I was a kid and the Institute was showcasing Jurassic Park’s dinosaurs—life-size, in-your-face, unforgettable. Once you’ve seen animatronic T-Rexes roar down at you, a hallway of anatomy posters just doesn’t cut it. So we saved our money. And while I was happy to linger, read, and soak up information, I could see the attention spans of kids wearing thin. For every moment of excitement, there were two where the pace slowed to plaque-reading mode…and not every child is built for that kind of grind. All told, the Franklin Institute is still a worthwhile stop. It has genuine moments of awe, especially in its architecture and a handful of exhibits that really land. But the cracks show: broken equipment, lack of staff, and a general sense of being behind the times. It feels like a place leaning on nostalgia and reputation instead of being fully polished for the present. A few updates, working buttons, and maybe a return to bold, thrilling special exhibits would restore the magic. Until then, it’s a mix of marvels and missed opportunities, equal parts temple of science and cautionary tale in museum maintenance.

The Barnes Foundation is a treasure trove of art and culture, featuring an extensive collection of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modern art. Visitors can admire works by renowned artists such as Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, and Matisse alongside African sculptures, Native American textiles, metalwork, Grecian urns, and other eclectic antiquities.
This is a wonderful hidden gem. Most people tend to visit the famous art museum, and they pass by this amazing museum on their way, but don't pay it attention. I must have passed it myself a hundred times, maybe more. But not on this day. We arrived and were surprised even before entering the building. The most amazing evergreens, s beautiful pond, very serene. Inside, tons of Monet, Renoir, Picasso. Works of amazing, famous artists within an arms reach. Very powerful. We will definitely return, perhaps even make it an annual event.

Wonderful art collection - never seen so many Renoir and Cezanne paintings in one gallery before, except in special exhibitions. Also really liked the architecture of the gallery itself. I took a paid tour of the current special Rousseau exhibition and the docent (Wendy?) was fantastic - so much knowledge and shared in a great storytelling way.

A beautiful building that contains rooms with art from an amateur collector. Mostly European art that is hung precisely how the owner of the art intended to hang This museum can become very busy so be mindful of buying your ticket. The restaurant has a beautiful garden but the menu was a bit lacking in interesting food items.

We loved our visit to the Barnes! Due to the size/scope of the collection, and how it is displayed, I highly recommend the Private Collection Tour with a docent to guide your experience. Our docent guide was amazing, super knowledgeable, and made sure we saw all of the pieces that we were most excited about (the Renoirs) during our tour. The collection is obviously incredible, but hearing the back story behind certain acquisitions, Mr. Barnes himself, and the relocation to the Parkway, was invaluable. If you're going to visit the collection, I strongly encourage upgrading to the Private Tour, and don't forget to stop by the gift shop downstairs on your way out! They have some great stuff!!

If you love the Impressionists, THIS is where you must go. The collection is just mind-bending and achingly beautiful. I’m no art expert, but found it really moving. We spent several hours here, but if you really know art, I’m sure you could spend a day. It’s across the street from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, so hit them both.

I had an absolute blast at the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art! Of course, I had to channel my inner Rocky, run up those steps, and snap a selfie at the top, cue the Rocky theme music in my head. Afterwards, I sat and watched wave after wave of people doing the same. Some made it like true champions, others had to stop halfway and “go the distance” just to catch their breath. 🤣😂Such an awesome and iconic Philly experience. Yo Adrian, I did it!

Museums
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a grand and iconic space known for its impressive entry staircase and Renaissance masterpieces. Situated at the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, it consists of three buildings, including the Rodin Museum and the Perelman Building. Housing over 240,000 artifacts and artworks, such as sculptures, paintings, armor, and decorative arts from various civilizations around the world. The museum is one of the largest and most visited in the world.
It has a beautiful collection of different ages and cultures. Start from the top floor and, most probably, you will spend there most of your day in the museum. There are unique pieces of European Medieval Art, Asian Art, and American period. It's like swimming in the waves from one culture to another. Another thing which is notable about this museum is that it tries hard to recreate the atmosphere of each period and culture through bringing up of their correspondent architectural authentic elements which fills the rooms with distinctive spirit of each place. It's a definitely nice place to visit for Art & Culture lovers.

This is a must visit when in Philadelphia. Gorgeous museum filled with inspiring artifacts. There are so much to see , and you can get lost inside, since it was our first time here, it took us a while to figure it out how to exit the exhibits. We had a great time inside the museum , spent hours inside the museum enjoyed everything we saw, only wished we had more time to spend here. Tickets pricing are reasonable with military enter for free at certain times. Friendly and attentive staff. Great location. Can arrive on one of the city bus tours as well.

I haven't been to the museum since I was in 8th grade. The experience of the museum inside was great. No complaints. But upon entering and purchasing my admission ticket, I had tapped my card. On the screen that faced me, it read "approved". But the lady behind the ticket counter told me it was "declined". I thought that was odd considering my side said it wasn't. And she insisted that it was declined. So I tapped my card several more times and then finally on the 4th time it was approved. I found it weird but continued my visit into the museum. As I was getting ready to leave, I checked my bank statement through my app and right there it said I was charged twice for my admission. 2 charges for $30. So I stopped at the ticket counter on my way out and they denied me any kind of help with returning my money, even though I showed them right there On my phone that they had charged me twice for one admission. They told me basically they can't do anything about it and that my bank statement wasn't proof enough basically. And then told me to contact my bank because it wasn't their problem. I thought it was rude and inconsiderate, when they were the ones who charged me twice and the proof was right in front of them. I walked away and immediately called my bank. Thank God they are amazing and saw what the museum did and were able to stop it as a duplicate charge. I really don't know what their (museum staff) problem was or why they were rude about it as if I was not being truthful. Even though I showed them right there, that they charged me twice. So I would pay attention to your bank statements when purchasing your admission tickets. Other than that, the museum is a beautiful place to visit and the rest of the staff throughout the museum was friendly and extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. So I will give 4 stars for the rest of my experience. 😊

What a great way to spend a day in Philadelphia. Not only is it fun to run up the museum steps and have your picture taken near the Rocky Statue, the entrance to the museum is right there. Large museum with 3 floors and multiple wings filled with various forms of art and plenty of branches throughout to sit and rest. The grand entrance staircase is impressive with the gold statue of the Roman Goddess Diana. All of the exhibits are worth a walk through, some are extremely detailed but others offer only a glimpse into the art on display.

This museum offers art from many periods that are nothing short of exquisite! There are four floors of exhibits. I recommend to start at the third floor and work your way down. There are stairs and elevators for those who are handicapped. The third floor offers armor, European Art from the Medieval period to roughly 1850 as well as Asian Art. Not only are art pieces displayed, but also parts of buildings to showcase the artful architecture of Europe and Asia. The second floor includes contemporary European and American artworks. Paintings, sculptures, and displays make up most of the floor, each demonstrating the variety of creativity the modern mind can produce. The first floor encompasses the special exhibit and American Art up to the early nineteenth century with and emphasis on Pennsylvania art and furniture. The gift shops are also on this floor, featuring exceptional books, prints, magnets, stickers, and other souvenirs one may take home with them. The ground floor includes some African and Asian artwork from a special exhibit of artistic clothing. The security people did not make you feel uncomfortable (in fact, many were welcoming). Overall, this is a museum that one has to check out if they are in the Philadelphia area. Be prepared to spend four hours there at least if you like looking at every single item!

Very likely the best art museum I ever visited around the world, on par or even surpass the MET. Large collection of Monet. You get to see a European cloister, Persian palace, Japanese garden all at one place. The best laid out museum so far

One of the best museums I've experienced in the states! It's very big, nice, clean, and a lot of collections that you might want to see desperately! And they offer 15$ per adult every Friday night with DJ/ music stuff. Although I think the event is not necessary, however, it's very good to see a museum try to attract different areas of people to come in again to appreciate the pure beauty of arts!

Museums
Eastern State Penitentiary, located in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood, is a gothic-style prison that has been transformed into a popular attraction. The prison once housed notorious individuals like Al Capone and Willie Sutton. Visitors can take tours of the historic cell blocks and explore the haunting architecture of the penitentiary. The museum offers a glimpse into the lives of those imprisoned within its walls, including a look at Al Capone's lavishly furnished cell.
I’ve attended both a daytime tour and Terror Behind the Walls on separate occasions, and each visit was incredible. The guided daytime tour shared fascinating insights into the prison’s influence on the criminal justice system, and Terror Behind the Walls—both times—was an unforgettable experience. The option to be tapped by staff for access to hidden passages added an extra thrill that was absolutely worth it. Even with light sensitivity and a nervous system prone to panic, I found Eastern State to be both accommodating and endlessly impressive. A truly one-of-a-kind experience.

The eastern State penitentiary is a great self guided walking tour. The tour starts with audio headphones and nine points of interest that you can listen to. However, you can walk at your own pace and get through the museum in roughly an hour.
Carlos U — Google review
One of the coolest and creepiest places I’ve ever visited! The Eastern State Penitentiary is massive, and walking through the old cell blocks feels like stepping into a movie set. The audio guide is honestly the best way to experience this place—it’s super engaging and really brings the history to life. The fact that Al Capone’s cell is here just makes it even more unreal. I ended up spending almost 3 hours exploring because there’s so much to see. If you’re in Philly, this is hands down a must-see—history, mystery, and a little bit of spookiness all in one.

We came to see the Mütter Museum, but we couldn't leave without experiencing Eastern State. This was truly the highlight of our trip. This place is remarkable, and it's difficult to convey just how surreal it felt to be there. We opted for the self-guided tour without audio to fully absorb everything it offers within its quiet, cool halls. We plan to return, as this destination certainly warrants multiple visits.

This is my third time being in Philly (I feel like it’s pretty rare for tourists to visit Philly three times, but I do love this city). This was a real hidden gem and one of my favourite things I’ve experienced in this city. The audio tour, architecture, and atmosphere is truly captivating. WELL worth the $21 honestly.
Louis Z — Google review
Really cool self guided tour. It’s nicer when it’s not as packed (obviously) so you can spend as much time as you want in each place. The tour is voiced by Steve Buscemi which I don’t know why but that was just hilarious to me. Buy tickets online for a few bucks off the price.
Just J — Google review
Prison known to have housed infamous inmates such as Al Capone and Slick Willie. Did the audio guide tour which was good enough. You learn about the type of prisoners that passed through here; some petty crimes others not so much. The design of the prison is rather interesting. The cells tell a story! Different type of attraction, which is worth visiting.
Legends L — Google review
There was an event on our day of visiting however they set up guided tours instead. The gravity and history are amazing. The displays bring to light the stark differences in our country's policing and view on incarceration. Definitely an educational tour and worth your time.

We went to Bury the Hatchet in Bensalem to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we had such a great time! Richie took amazing care of us — he was super nice, patient, and very helpful the whole time. He made sure we were having fun and gave us great tips for throwing. Thank you, Richie, for making our celebration even better! 🎉🎯

My wife and I had an incredible experience at Bury the Hatchet! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a lively atmosphere that set the stage for an exciting evening. Our instructor, Jesse, was absolutely fantastic! Jesse took the time to teach us the ins and outs of axe throwing and even how to throw stars. Her enthusiasm and expertise made all the difference. With her patient guidance, I was able to hit the kill shot not just once, but four times! Earning a trophy for those successful throws made the experience even more thrilling, and I couldn’t help but beam with pride as I held it up. The venue itself is inviting and well-organized, with ample space for everyone to enjoy their time. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, Bury the Hatchet offers a unique and exhilarating experience that you won't want to miss. We left feeling accomplished and are already planning to return with our friends for another round of fun. A huge thanks to Jesse for making our night so memorable! Highly recommend this place for an exciting date night or a fun outing with friends!"

I had a great time at Parx Casino even though luck wasn’t on my side this visit. The atmosphere is lively, clean, and full of energy, making it a fun place to spend time. One thing I really liked is that if you play for more than 15 minutes, they offer you free drinks, coffee, or water, which adds a nice touch to the experience. The staff are friendly and quick to assist, and the food options are surprisingly good and reasonably priced, especially for a casino. Whether you want a snack or a full meal, there’s plenty of choice. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, enjoy some games, and grab a bite. I’ll definitely be coming back again — hopefully with better luck next time!

Water & Amusement Parks
Sesame Place Philadelphia is a vibrant amusement park based on the beloved children's show Sesame Street. Located just 30 minutes from Philadelphia, this family-friendly destination offers over 25 attractions, including rides, live shows, and water slides. Perfect for kids under 7, the park features favorite characters like Elmo and Big Bird. Families can enjoy rides at Elmo's World, Big Bird's Balloon Race, and Cookie Mountain.
Have visited weekdays, weekends, and even holidays like Labor Day weekend. Crowds are lower on weekdays but there’s usually more character meets available on the weekends we’ve noticed. They have so much to do and it’s ideal for any baby that can walk up to mid elementary school age kids. Staff always friendly. Park entry always smooth and organized. Entertainers always give 100%. It’s a truly great place to visit. I’m so lucky to be local and get to enjoy all the seasonal events as well.

We visited for the first time and really enjoyed our time with kids. Nothing much for teenagers but they can still have some fun on the rides. Some of the rides were not functional as you can read in most of the reviews. I visited on a weekday and didn’t experience any wait time. Parade was the most amazing experience for my kids. Salute to the artists who were performing with such an enthusiasm on a super hot day

I had an AMAZING time with my little one at the Sesame Place. This theme park is full of colorful fun packed streets. We did not cover all but the bit we covered was memorable. Things are a pricey like the parking, food and most items at the gift shop. But nonetheless, it is a MUST SEE especially for kids. The parade was our highlight. I highly recommend for tourists and even locals. 💯 Kids Friendly ✅ Paid parking✅ Gift shop✅ 🚻 Restroom ✅ Lovely Ambiance ✅ Good Music ✅
K A — Google review
"Elmo, Mama. Elmo, Mama!" - 2 yr old pointing with excitement. Where are we? "Special Place, Mama!" - 2 yr old. He couldn't say "Sesame" so called it "Special Place" instead of Sesame Place. Wednesdays are the least crowded day in the summer. Get a season pass. The parade is cute but if you go often skip the parade and go on rides without a line. Kids must be able to walk and sit independently to go on the rubber duck water slide. My son loved it at 2 years then 3-4 was scared. Then went back to it when older. My son was so excited to be to be tall enough for the rollercoasters. Oscar's taxi was closed the first time he was tall enough then got stuck with us on it at the finish but my kid needed to go to the bathroom while we were waiting to get the seat belts to release, luckily he held it and had no interest in getting back on. Grover's rollercoaster is way better but for adults who don't like rides, this is a real ride, not simply a preschool thrill ride. Get to shows early. Seating can run out at the indoor theater. Get a spot for the parade early if going. I miss when they allowed kids to interact with parade characters. Core memories for my child. Skip character meals...too expensive for picky eaters, vegetarians, and kids with food allergies. Wish bathrooms were cleaner. Elmo's Flying Fish was my son's favorite ride. And he loved climbing on the ropes when he needed to jump around. Bubbles were a great distraction in line on days when lines were longer. Season passes can be bought in August for the end of the season and Halloween and Dec holidays' spectacular AND the following summer. Pass includes parking. Worth it if going 3 or more times. Sesame Place was my son's happy place ages 2-7 years of age.
Laura G — Google review
It was a great experience with our granddaughter and family, just as fun as 20 years ago with our children. food, merchandise and extra activities are pricey but that's with all theme parks. Definitely recommend purchasing tickets online you save about half the price.
Grecy L — Google review
This experience was everything I wanted it to be. Food- I purchased the food pass for the 3 main places to get food from (ABC, Big Bird's, & Elmo's). Preparing in advance for the food I would highly recommend as theme park meals are expensive. The pass offered one entree, one side or dessert, and one drink ( no alcohol ) every 90 minutes. In my eyes for 3 adults and 2 kids it was worth it and at about $137 vs an approximate $375 Rides- I am no thrill seeker... but my kids (18 & 10) enjoying plenty of them with shorter wait times averaging around 4 to 15 minutes depending on the ride and the time of day. Oscar's coaster had the longest line at about 30 minutes, however it had an delayed open at around noon. What I did notice about the rides, is that they do not all start at the opening of the park. I'm not sure if this is due to staffing, maintenance, closure or whatever else one could think of but there is so much to explore that by the time you make it back around to a ride that was "closed"... it may be open. Characters- the meets for the characters were pretty easy going. The lines were tolerable and were consistently moving. Not all the characters were available for meet and greets but there is a way to find all of this stuff out. Parade- We went due Labor day weekend & 45th Birthday celebration. The parade was awesome. The songs were catchy and not the normal songs we all know! With some ABC'S & 123's, floats, bikes, and dancers... you can bet that they all did great! All of the characters were in the parade. Elmo, Abby, Big Bird, Oscar, Zoe, Kelly, Cookie monster, Bert, Ernie, and the count. What really tied this whole experience together was the Sesame Place App. This app held my tickets and passes, had a in depth map of the park, and give you a schedule. You can navigate the App to pull up your passes for easy convince instead of navigating through emails or printing out passes and tickets. The map will offer you directions to and from different areas. If you're looking to find a shop or the playground the map will give you directions on how to get there. The schedule is a little wonky and my best guess is because the characters are human and there is some error in all things human. With that being said characters are subjected to change without notice. So dont get your hopes up looking to see someone and they're not there. This disclaimer is also on the app. The schedule will help you plan your day based on what you like to do. For us it was helpful because we were able to plan for the little one to meet her favorite friends while the others were able to play until meeting for food, parade, or at Count's castle in the water. There are plenty of things to do and a variety of foods to eat. The park was clean, colorful, and encompasses people of all ages and races to come and enjoy. Not quite as diverse as Disney but its not as popular. I will be going back with my kiddos because they want to go back to Sesame Place!
Destiney T — Google review
Place was very clean and never had to wait more then 5 mins per ride if any. Bathrooms were plentiful and always well kept. Parade and staff was so much fun and oscar was a g.
Peter M — Google review
It's a good time with our toddler but it is pretty overpriced, understaffed, and could be better maintained. We got value with the season pass and a teacher pass, but won't be doing it again. We really enjoy everything Sesame Street, but this feels like a cash grab.

Museums
Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the Mercer Museum is a captivating destination for history enthusiasts. Operated by the Bucks County Historical Society, this six-story concrete castle showcases over 17,000 pre-Industrial tools and various domestic equipment used in early American life. The museum offers self-guided tours where visitors can explore nooks and crannies filled with intriguing displays of hornsmithing tools, weathervanes, animal-powered treadmills, and even a whaleboat suspended from the ceiling.
This was a very cool museum featuring all sort of tools and objects used in all the various trades that were common in the 1800's and early 1900's. They are collected more like an archeologist would collect items, numbered with white paint and collected by trade across six floors in a single extremely large room. The collections surround the center atrium of the room where many of the larger objects (stagecoach, boat, etc.) are suspended. The building itself is made nearly entirely of poured concrete, just like Mercer's castle (another great spot to visit). Definitely worth a few hours of browsing.

I was captivated by the exterior of Mercer Museum, and stepping inside was a must! The real treat was being able to explore almost the entirety of the building, immersing myself in Mercer's extraordinary collection. His vision was truly unique. It's an experience that defies description; you simply have to see it for yourself to appreciate its wonder.
Michelle S — Google review
Not quite what I expected, but it was an enjoyable self guided tour. The location is in a beautiful section of town. The building is quite majestic from the outside as you approach. The inside is more of a museum of past tools that were common trades in the day, wagons and heating stoves. There is even an old vertical saw from an old mill inside. The only 2 issues I had was the inventory numbers on just about every item ( as it seems ) that take away from its historical reminiscent value. The other issue is had was that there was nowhere near enough signs that tell you about interesting items that you are looking at. And those signs are not necessarily at the items. Overall it was a nice experience and worth the ticket price for the 2 of us.
Kyle S — Google review
This museum deserves more public attention and the 20 dollars admission fee totally worth it. The collection displays how people a century ago live and prosperate and reminds us how rapidly the technology evolves. 1.5 to 2 hours is needed and simply allowed to walked through all the windows.

This place is unbelievable! So much to explore, look at and read about. The building alone is so interesting. Very informative staff throughout. Don't miss the library. It is gorgeous. Easy to spend hours here! Well worth the visit.

If you are into history and have an afternoon spare, Mercer museum is the spot for you. It has a very good collection of items that showcase the day-to-day life of early Pennsylvanians. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is the price. At $20 a ticket, it's a bit steep, but not overly so. I was still pretty shocked though when we were told the $40 entrance fee for two of us, but that's inflation for you.
John H — Google review
What an incredible tour! The castle is a masterpiece on its own, and the collections inside are unlike anything we’ve ever seen. My husband and I loved exploring it at our own pace - absolutely worth the visit.
Mrs P — Google review
A very interesting museum — we've never seen exhibits placed on the ceiling and all over the walls before, it's extremely unusual. It's stuffy on the upper floors, but there are large fans running in some areas, so you can cool off near them. The staff is incredibly polite and shares fascinating stories about the museum's history. I highly recommend this place. There’s so much to see that you’ll need hours to explore all the household items, crafts, and more. We specifically traveled to this small town just to visit this museum.

Sellersville Theater is a historic and intimate performing arts venue that hosts live music and comedy shows featuring both local and national acts. It's a great spot for date nights, offering live entertainment, dining, and lodging all in one place. On most Tuesday nights, the neighboring Washington House features live bluegrass or jazz music in the bar area. Meanwhile, on weekends and some weeknights, Sellersville Theater showcases performances from top musicians across the country.
Went to see Shonen Knife. They are an all female band from Japan, whose music is a combination of 70's style punk (Ramones) and Japanese Pop. The theater is intimate with good sound quality and not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of free parking in the area, but you might have to walk 1 or 2 blocks. Beer and wine are available in the lobby. Many local bands as well as natiinally known comedians and magicians have performed at the Sellersville. You have to watch the lineup because some big names also perform here and sell out fast!

Absolutely love Swllersville Theater. They have great seats, acoustics in the theater are fantastic. The music sounds great, and the artists/musicians are fabulous. I'm a member of the theater, and I often get a seat at the very front at a table or within a few rows. What's great is? Most artists will go up to the lab after playing and meet with the attendees. Just a few photos.

We came here for a show in mid-July. I bought tickets online the day of the event. My cell signal inside the building was basically zero and there is no WiFi so I had to go outside to reload my tickets for the scanner. The employee scanning tickets was very nice about it though. The seating goes straight back from the stage to the door. I am guessing this was a movie theater at some point because the floor is somewhat sloped so the seating rises as you go towards the back of the room and this means not to much struggling to see over other people’s heads. Even in row S we had a good view of the stage. The venue is pretty small. The seats are padded but weren’t the most comfortable I’ve been in. (Sorry no pic). They also weren’t the worst. The staff we interacted with were friendly. The band we went to see fell a little flat for me. I don’t know if it was just the sound set up for the full band or if their energy was just low that night. The opening act however sounded great but that was just two people with two instruments. Ticket prices were reasonable. Parking seemed easy for us. We arrived just as the show was starting and there was a parking lot across the street that we parked in. I had looked at the FAQs on the website before we came to find out about parking so we knew what to expect. We had no issues getting out of the lot either. We had fun.

What a gem this Sellersville Theater is for a band to play! The acoustics were amazing, and the intimate setting was so nice versus a huge arena. Everyone of the staff members were friendly, helpful, and seemed to love their jobs. I would definitely go there again for a band.

I go to concerts here relatively frequently. It is a cozy theater that books top-notch talent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a bar for drinks and snacks either before the show or during intermission. And if you are so inclined, I also recommend dinner at the Washington House next door before or after a show.

Peddler's Village

Sights & Landmarks
Peddler's Village is a charming, old-fashioned village with 65 shops and an inn that hosts various events and festivals. One of the highlights is Stories in Sand, a summer-long display of larger-than-life sand sculptures depicting beloved stories and characters like Brothers Grimm fairy tales, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, Winnie-the-Pooh, Mother Goose stories, and Alice in Wonderland. Families can enjoy toy-filled sandboxes and free storytime sessions on Saturdays.
It's a great village of shopping fun. If you need some retail therapy, this is your haven. I shopped in a few places and do recommend getting Ice Cream at Nina's, especially in the heat of the summer. Then walk it off by visiting every shop, look around, browse and find that great unique item for yourself or to give as a gift. Stop by Sticky Situation and let the ladies explain the many benefits of Honey and taste the delicious infusions. Can't wait to try the Dark Chocolate infused Honey on Chicken Fajitas😋 Then get your stones and crystals or maybe an awesome sword at Ice Imports. What a place. From incense to Armour and all in between. Don't forget to visit the Visitor Center and meet the lovely ladies, Melissa and Marie. Not only were they helpful and knowledgeable but we chatted about the old country...New York. 😉 They gave us some historical facts on Peddler's Village, explained details about surrounding communities and fun facts about the really cool sand art exhibits and how they can stay in place, even when it rains. Yes, I joined the mailing list because I can't wait for the Fall events and the Scarecrow Competition. There was so much to see and do at Peddler's Village that I need to come.

This is a great spot! Its quite large, many, many shops to meander through. Many are crazy expensive so its not your every day shopping experience but there is a ton of variety including a little something for everyone's taste and budget. We came for the scarecrow festival and did eat and shop while we were here. Spent the whole afternoon. It was quite busy and parking was a challenge but we did find some. Definitely recommended for a day out with family or friends.
Ingrid H — Google review
You just can't go wrong here. We've been coming here for over 20 years and it's just done right. I think one of the greatest places you can go is the village itself. It's free. You don't have to pay for anything and you can just walk around and have the option to shop or dine. Sometimes the beauty of this place is just that. Walking among the shops and enjoying the nature and especially during season changes. But the other part is the availability of some absolutely incredible places to shop and eat or grab a drink. From sweet spots and bakeries to bougie places to buy clothing and seasonal outfits or even a good old-fashioned hat store and shoe store, you can also get world class koi for your koi pond or have someone build a koi pond for you. There's wine tasting and a Harry Potter themed fantasy store and even an authentic German food and cuckoo clock store. I dare anyone to try to find all of these things in one spot anywhere else in the world. Peddlers gets crowded for a reason but somehow it always seems like a bustling paradise.

We took a ride out there on Thursday October 2nd, since it’s a beautiful day and we had time. Unfortunately we didn’t expect the place to be mobbed, including restaurants. Apparently schools in the area were closed. But at least the scarecrows didn’t disappoint!

This was a place I've been meaning to visit, I learned about it last year. Saw a video on YouTube which reminded me of it and today finally made the trip.1st parking is free there multiple locations where you can park. This beautiful area offers a variety of different shops, eateries and beautiful sand sculptures. Stepping into this unique place is walking into another world which makes a great idea for a day trip specially on a nice summer day. Area has beautiful well maintained landscapes benches available to sit and relax. Definitely add this cool place to your bucket list, definitely one of the most beautiful places I've visited definitely recommended. If you're driving from nyc like I did, it was under two hours. There's also a area that offers games like arcade, play area for kids, merry go round. Definitely family friendly environment, also pet friendly. Restrooms are also available here. They also host different events throughout the year, so visiting at different seasons will feel like a different place.

Bucks County Playhouse, a historic theater located in an old grist mill, has been a prominent entertainment hub since 1939. It has hosted renowned actors such as Grace Kelly and Angela Lansbury. The playhouse offers a diverse range of performances including musical revivals, dramas, children's shows, live music, and stand-up comedy. In addition to its entertainment offerings, the playhouse is surrounded by beautiful scenery that visitors can enjoy while taking in a show.
Ventured to Bucks County Playhouse on the draw from the Leader of the Pack show. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the show, atmosphere, hospitality, and the On the Deck restaurant after the show. Talented cast and genuine good time! Great story flow, musical and dancing!!! Total seratonin surge experience! Shoot out to our superb waiter Ryan! GF options are available! 🎉🎊

Whats with the staff strobing their flashlights in the audience over, and over, and over during the show? Unbelievable behavior and volume of interruptions. I didn't take my phone out once but certainly was aware when anyone else did because of your STAFF. Extremely excessive with the interruptions and blinking flashlights in patrons’ faces. I have never seen such aggressive behavior at a theater. I will not return to this venue for this and other reasons, including the terrible view. Show and audience were fine.

I was lucky enough to score tickets for one of the final Rocky Horror shows starring Frankie Grande, and what an experience! This was my first time at this theater, and I loved the intimate setting. Every seat felt like a great seat. The set design and scene transitions were fantastic, and the talent on stage was absolutely shining. The audience participation was everything you’d hope for. People were shouting the classic one-liners, plus a few fun modern twists that had everyone laughing. The goodie bag with rice, a newspaper, and cards was such a fun touch! The best part came at the end when every attendee was invited on stage to “do the Time Warp” with the cast. It was organized, energetic, and so much fun! Frankie Grande was incredibly gracious, he met every fan outside afterward for photos and autographs, taking his time with each person. He was warm, sincere, and clearly grateful for everyone who came. I also want to give a huge shout-out to the theater staff. During “The Time Warp,” a guest had a medical emergency. The house lights came on immediately, clear instructions were given, and within seconds, two doctors in the audience stepped in to help. The situation was handled with incredible professionalism and compassion. After a brief intermission, the show resumed, and we were later told that the guest was going to be OK, which was such a relief to hear. Thank you to the cast, crew, and staff for creating such a memorable and heartfelt night. I’ll never forget it!

Date of Visit: Sat Aug 19, 2023 We came to Buck’s county to see a show at the Buck’s County Playhouse – The Bridges of Madison County starring the great Broadway star, Kate Baldwin. The area around the theatre is absolutely beautiful. The theatre is situated right on the Delaware river overlooking New Jersey. The theatre is a renovated historic gristmill right on the water. The seating is nice and comfortable – with a little leg room – its not too tight. The stage is easily seen from most seats without issue – as the theatre is small-ish. The sound quality if fantastic - we heard every word and song as clear as can be. I am glad we came to see this show because otherwise I don’t think I would have known about the town of New Hope and what a charming and historic little town it is.

Nice theater with friendly staff. The well directed show featured talented actors. Drinks were fairly priced, not the cheapest but not as expensive as NYC shows. **The one thing you must know, GET THERE EARLY, PARKING IS AN ISSUE. Fortunately New Hope is a cute little town, so you can always stroll through some shops to kill time or get lunch or dinner before the show.

Absolutely fantastic place to both perform at and see a show. Not a bad seat in the house and the staff is great. I have been coming here for years and have seen many incredible shows here. I’m also a professional musician and perform my acoustic duo at both the playhouse deck restaurant and out in the court yard. It’s always a lovely experience and an absolute staple when in New Hope.

Embark on a delightful journey with the New Hope Railroad, where history and scenic beauty intertwine. This heritage railroad features both steam and diesel locomotives that traverse an 18-mile route through the picturesque rolling hills of Bucks County. Passengers can enjoy a captivating 45-minute narrated ride aboard vintage passenger coaches or an antique bar car, all while being pulled by a charming 1925 Baldwin Steam Locomotive or historic diesel engines.
New Hope has been on my radar for awhile, and when I finally got there, I was really disappointed. Billed as this quaint town with a vibrant business area of diverse shops and boutiques, most are not open during the week, and if they are, their hours are 11 AM-5 PM. The railroad was the highlight of the whole town, and is a nice little historical area. It was almost worth the trip there just to see it.

A good place to spend some time with family, just depends on what you are expecting from the trip. If you do not have small children I would suggest to take the trip before 1:30 or after that, the one at 1:30 was completely booked and had plenty of small children. This way you will have a space on the train and less people around you. If you would like to have a date, go for the first class ticket. And if the weather permits go for the open windows space, you would see more. Booking in advance is a good idea only if you know what time you need and which class you want, if you are not sure, you can do it right there at the station. Also, if you have the whole day, then you can visit both places, New Hope in PA and Lamberville in NJ. I love both and can spend hours there, especially if you come before Halloween, so you can enjoy tge decorations.

An absolutely fascinating place! It’s truly spectacular to see such an old locomotive still running 🚂. The whole town is soaked in history and antique charm — it feels like time has stopped here. 🕰️ And the bridge over the river is something special! Right in the middle, you actually cross from Pennsylvania into New Jersey – such a cool feeling to stand between two states! 🌉🇺🇸 A must-visit spot for anyone who loves history, trains, and authentic small-town vibes. ❤️

New Hope is a very atmospheric town, and the railroad adds even more charm. Here you can feel like a lady or gentleman from the 1920s. But remember, life in those distant years only looks romantic in pictures. Soot and lumps of coal will fly out of the locomotive's chimney. If you're in an open-air train car, don't wear white. And to protect your eyes, you'll be given special goggles.

Took a ride on the New Hope Railroad and it was an unforgettable experience! The vintage trains are beautifully restored, giving you that perfect mix of old-time charm and scenic relaxation. Rolling through Bucks County’s countryside feels like stepping back in time — the views are peaceful, the cars are clean and comfortable, and the whole ride has that nostalgic magic. The staff and conductors were incredibly friendly and informative, adding stories and history along the route that really bring the journey to life. Whether you’re a train enthusiast, a family looking for a weekend outing, or a couple out for a relaxing day trip, this is a must-do experience in New Hope. Be sure to check out the gift shop and nearby restaurants — it makes for a perfect afternoon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stepping aboard the New Hope Railroad feels like entering a time capsule—where vintage charm meets modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was steeped in nostalgia, with classic train whistles and friendly conductors in period attire. The ride itself was smooth and relaxing, with plush seats and large windows that framed the Bucks County countryside like moving postcards. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone craving a beautiful, comfortable ride back in time.

Gravevine express - we came to this same experience about 2 years ago. While today was great, the experience definitely decreased in quality. The last time I remember it costing way less per person, and there was a bar in the area of first class that we were all seated. They offered a glass of bourbon on our last tour and allowed us to order multiple glasses of the wine we tried depending on how much we finished. This time around; they only offered us the 4 glasses of wine and it was over 350$ per couple. In addition, the parking situation was very misleading and it appeared like it was $15 per day when we intially looked at the screen when went to park in their SMALLLL parking lot. When we went to leave, they charged us $48 dollars for “2 hours and 5 minutes” even though they let us off the train later than “1 hour past our start time. The lady who was our tour guide advised us next time we should park elsewhere and we were totally unaware that it was HOURLY rare. We would’ve parked somewhere else but the kiosk screen did not clearly state it and there was ZERO signs in front of the kiosk. We are very disappointed bc we have visited twice and not sure we would come back due to the ridiculous pricing… cute but not sure it’s worth it at this point..

Quakertown Farmers Market and Flea Market in Bucks County is a bustling hub where locals and tourists alike come together. The market offers a wide variety of products, from fresh farm produce to unique items like video games, jewelry, and even pets. With numerous shops of all sizes and types, visitors can find everything they need at decent prices. It's advisable to bring cash as many vendors only accept cash payments.
Absolutely love this place, especially when the outdoor flea market is open. The inside has plenty of stores with great and unique finds, generally at a good price. They offer have a huge selection of various foods and a few delis. Literally anything you need from diapers to a pet rabbit can be purchased here. The outdoor flea market (as opposed to the indoor farmers market) is very cool because it is such an incredible assortment of vendors every week and you’ll never know what you’ll find. If you’re bored and you got a spare few dollars, it’s definitely worth the trip. Everyone is always very nice, there’s plenty of parking, and there’s indoor and outdoor seating. It really is a good time.

I think I've had more fun reading the reviews and comments than my actual visit. The Quakertown Farmers Market or the Q Mart as locals refer to it, is a local institution. Yes, maybe an ode to days past, but there are good aspects and yes, some negative aspects, but it is an experience. The kind of experience depends on your state of mind, and reference of experience. If you come to the market expecting the freshest of fruits and vegetables, farm to table meats, the latest in fashion, nouveau cuisine, guess again, that's a big fat nope. It's more of spectacle, a flea market if you will, where vendors hawk various wares, some fresh, some not so, some old, some new, some used, some that have seen better days, so I say in advance, buyer beware. There are baubles, doodads, trinkets, chatchkes, collectibles, dribbles and drabs of everything under the sun. Yes, you can find produce here, it's not the freshest, or locally sourced, but its here. There are restaurants of every persuasion to add to your caloric, if not not diabetic misery, some of them are delicious, and some...are just meh. On weekends, it can be crowded, you'll shuffle among the crowds, kids, parents, walkers and wheelchairs, oh my. Everyone once in a while, you get a glimpse of a real artisan, selling an authentic items, and at others, it's mass merchandise, some past or at the sell by date, secondhand, traded in items or a previous generations fashion choice. It is a kaleidoscope, a mash up, a carnival of goods. Its all relatively cheap, relative and cheap being the operative words. There are smells of fresh baked goods, fried foods, incense, body odor and a general dankness. I've visited here several times and there are few places like it. Sometimes I come for the Amish pastries, at others random tshirts, phone charger cables, or batteries for my watch. It's one of those places, that you just never know what your reach into your pocket to pay for. The Q Mart is always a mystery, wrapped in a riddle to me, like that box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. Sometimes just people watching is enough. Oh, and pro tip, drive slowly through the parking, between the people and potholes, you don't want to be surprised. Should you go? Oh by all means, leave your high expectations behind and surprise yourself with what you'll find, or not find. It's one of the most base human experiences you'll find, whether you enjoy it or not, well that's up to you.

I grew up with something similar to this we called "The Auction" that was the exact same indoor round about of vendors, shops and food stands. Plenty to look at here if you are into a little thrift shopping, bargain hunting or looking for odds and ends. Haven't been through the outside part of it much. If you're looking for a place to just walk around and shop you will likely get much of that here. My personal issue is that the hallways are a little cramped and can't really walk more than three people side by side.
Ryan S — Google review
This place has so much to offer! There is something for everyone here. Video game stores, rugs, blankets, jewelery, vintage toys, vintage furniture, bikes, pets, crystals, vacuums, etc. Most vendors are pleasant and helpful. There are also restaurants serving food and drinks.

Nice visit however not as busy due to 4th of July holiday! Inside part of the mart there are lots of neat stores. Some new and some that have been here for years. Lou's surplus is in a new location around corner from old place. More visible. Fresh meats and fruits and vegetables. Fresh baked goods from Flecks ( still going strong) Cheesecakes are now $8.20 and single sticky buns are $2.50 There is a large pet and aquarium store and just a little bit of everything with quite a few places to grab a bite to eat or a snack. Now, outside behind the indoor market is the Flea Market with outdoor tables and a few barns with lots of antiques and collectibles from classic bicycles to collectible glasses, antique furniture and too much to write but I took a few pictures to help you decide if it's worth the visit. I think it is! Oh and if you happen to be in the back barn looking at some collectibles, say hi to Harry (dirty harry) the long time friendly knowledgeable older fella with the white beard and a friendly smile who can share some history and some stories about the Quakertown Farmers Market and Flea Market.

Ringing Rocks County Park, located in Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, is a 128-acre park featuring a unique field of boulders that produce ringing sounds when struck. This seven to eight-acre field is filled with ten-foot high rock piles that create an unusual ringing sound similar to that of a bell when hit with a hammer. Additionally, visitors can enjoy hiking through the woods to reach High Falls, which is the largest waterfall in Bucks County.
Unique attraction. The rocks does make sounds when we hit with hammers. They kept few hammers but not sufficient for all, so it is suggested to bring our own 🔨. Easy to navigate. Plenty of parking spots but mostly they get filled in noon time. By afternoon & evening more spots be available. 2 directions as shown in the video. Going right side is near and train is also good. Going left is little long and muddy trail. The rocks doesn't really ring or make music. They just make cling sound when we hit a glass with spoon. Each rock does make different sound. This attraction is free. It attracts all kind of age groups. We can play with rocks how much time we want. Starting from one end and walk on rocks to the other end we can use the trails to reach the starting spot or parking lot. Portable restrooms are available near the parking lots. Tables also available to rest or have food. Trash bins are available. No water supply or stores, so good to with packed food and water. If parking is full inside, we can park the side outside of the attraction.

The boulder field was fun to climb around on and bang on them. Not all boulders ring, but the ones that do have different pitches and tones. Was neat to hear how different they sound from one another. The hike to the waterfall was short and pretty easy. The waterfall was beautiful. Felt great going under it and letting the cold water wash over you.

Beautiful park to explore. Kids have a great time hitting the large rocks to hear them ring. There is a waterfall near the rocks however it has been dry the past few times we visited over the course of a few years.
Michael S — Google review
C'mon it's a cool place. Bring a hammer and have some fun. Maneuvering on the boulders can be tricky, so wear good sneakers or hiking boots. The loop trail is rocky and short. I would suggest making your way down to the creek bed and then work your way to the falls...which may not exist certain times of the year. You would then need to climb a few rocks to get back up to the trail. The creek bed at the top of the falls is interesting to see. It's slippery so be careful. We hiked up from the lot on 32 to gain some incline.

We loved this place, they have sequoias all around, which made the place feel even more peaceful. There is no Wi-Fi but they do have cable which my husband was happy to get. Cell phone service was limited and or sporadic. If you want to detach and be in a beautiful place, we highly recommend you come.

My whole life of living in PA and I finally got to ringing rocks. Such a cool place to just relax and enjoy nature and with some really cool sounds. If you don't remember to bring a hammer, there was a box of them you could borrow by the map. Mind you, Please be careful when climbing over the bigger rocks. I almost lost my shoe.

This was so fun!! Pretty small park, good for an afternoon when you just wanna go see something fun and walk around a little but not do a massive hike. They have a box of hammers at the front of the park if you forget your own! Easy drive from Allentown

Very nice. Beautiful rocks. Bring a hammer and a good pair of climbing shoes 👟. If it is a sunny 🌞 day bring water as navigating the rocks is cumbersome and there is little shade if you try to reach the best ringing rocks.

First time coming here, drove from Long Island! Well, it was nice. Just a regular market, I love the support of small businesses and definitely did my shopping. Coming from New York? Prices were reasonable (except the glass blowing items). My experience: was crowded and very narrow ways. Not many were wearing masks, it was an "indoor" tent, so enforcing mask mandate was not so great (vendors weren't wearing them). Entering the food court area was alright, not that much variety as advertised. It was usually the same food on every spot. I was looking for more German stuff, but the closest German thing was the mulled wine. (Ask for extra rum) After that, I sort of wonder why we paid to get into basically a mini mall. Either way, this is more of a one time thing, no reason to come again every year.

this was so awesome. i took so many photographs and the person who designed this little industrial park really took into consideration the trees placed around it. i loved looking up and seeing the trees overlay the steelwork in the background. so nice and it’s a great place to go when it’s cold and blue outside because it just adds to the atmosphere. i wouldn’t even go if it was sunny because the vibes would’ve been completely different :)

If you're in the area, or even if you're not, this place is worth the visit. Being from Baltimore, I'm familiar with Bethlehem Steel but had no idea these are the original factory. They have made a very cool exhibit to walk the stacks and learn the history of the factory. Then they've transformed the surrounding area to include a stage for concerts and a huge musical festival every summer. There's outlets, casino and restaurants within walking distance. This is a cool place and you should absolutely check it out. They even have an elevator for mobility challenged to get up to the stacks.

So cool. You can walk next to the old steel factory on a ramp. Came during a food and music fair that I had no idea was going on at the time. Supposed to cool during Christmas so I’ll come again during the holidays. Enjoyed foot and music. And just one drink. I was too sleepy for more.

This is a very interesting place!! We love how they took something old, and not being used anymore, and made a venue!! We would love to see more places like this, rather than being torn down!! Preserve the history and let others be amazed by it!! My husband worked in a much smaller steel mill for 42 years and his dad worked at Bethlehem steel in Texas!! Very interesting!!

I'm not a huge fan of the industrial era, but this is a fascinating piece of history and interesting landmark. It's too bad that the native Americans that own it won't give it at least a spray coating to protect it, but I can understand their viewpoint. If you get the chance, I recommend one of the walking tours, where if you are lucky, you will have it led by one of the guys that used to work there.

Not a great casino. Was there about 20 years ago and went again in 2025. Need players card to order drinks. Must play $5 to order and can only have one drink every 30 minutes. At least 40 slots broken. Casino is half smoking as well.

Came to this casino for the first time. At the entrance the security was very rude & disrespectful. 0 starts deserved earned at an entertainment service business before even entering the casino.

The table suddenly became very busy, and the dealer kept blowing cards, but they changed 4 dealers within 10 minutes. The staff called a few people to look at it, and said it was very strange, as if we were cheating. , they said they were going to close this desk and they were going to get off work. No way, the rules of the game are theirs. The next day, I went to the same table and kept losing. The dealer kept getting 20 and 21 points. I asked the staff when the table would be closed today. The dealer told me that in addition to changing the cards, the table would be replaced with new cards. , will not be closed. Yes, shameless behavior can only make you lose, not win. When you are lucky, they keep changing people to deal cards, or close the table directly. There is no justice at all... don't go gambling in this place, their behavior is so bad

Bush league services and amenities. Unhealthy conditions and clown shoes service. It is clear there has been a recent management change for the worse. Our stay started with the front desk being unable to locate our reservation. Despite it being made months ahead of time. Next my coworker discovered that our shower would not drain. When maintenance arrived they pulled 3 hair extensions worth of hair out of the drain. They have done away with complimentary breakfast (which my coworker would not stop complaining about for our week long stay), the attached restaurants are over priced. One night I ordered medium steak, at "market price", and received a brunt piece of charcoal that was no where near worth what I had paid for the meal. Next security saw fit to give my company vehicle a "parking warning" threatening to boot or tow it. With no explanation for the warning. The vehicle was legally and parked in a valid area. No signage, no markings, no attempt to contact me. When I contacted them, they admitted that the warning should not have been issued. It never occurred to them that the vehicle was parked for more than 24 hours, because the guests were staying for longer than 24 hours. All these above mentioned things are annoying but what is unforgivable is my coworker and I both observed the house keeping staff clean our room one day. The house keeper took the reusable glasses and coffee mugs, washed them in the room's sink without soap, and replaced them. There were no new glasses or mugs on her cart, so this must be a standard thing for this staff. Dog feces located everywhere in the landscaping and parking lot. The room does not have a microwave and the refrigerator barely cools drinks at the max setting. The computers in the "business center" in the lobby are running illegitimate copies of Windows, the styling of the rooms and public areas are clearly cheap and tacky. The free wifi is open, public, and not in the least bit secure. It is clear the powers that be are cutting corners where ever possible. In short, anyone staying here should not expect the most basic level of customer service and expectations to be met. For the cost of the room alone, I would expect NONE of these issues, let alone one of them to be experienced during a week long stay. The only people that have any idea of what they are doing is the polite and professional maintenance staff. But that is not enough for me to reserve a room here next time.

Reserved a room for Friday Night May 11. Arrived to check-in only to be rudely informed By an employee at registration desk that despite having an itinerary Number with a Confirmation Number confirming our reservation, They were over booked and they had no rooms available. After 15 minutes of waiting the hotel manager (I guess as she never Identified herself) rudely offered to shuttle us to another hotel off site. I recommend not wasting your time visiting the Sand Casino. Your better off visiting another resort.

Wasn't allowed to bring my 20yr old son through the casino to eat at Emeril's Burgers and More. Don't know why security couldn't escort us to the restaurant. Last thing we wanted to do was waste money on the slots. All we wanted was a bite to eat. Security said the only option was the food court. Definitely not worth it.
