Theaters
The Campus Theatre, a former movie theater built in 1949, has been transformed into a community arts center offering training and rental venues for performances. This cozy and cute theatre hosts a variety of shows including musicals like Elf, with close seating that may make the atmosphere stuffy at times. Despite this, it remains an elegant and must-see destination in Denton with amazing performances such as My Fair Lady thanks to the talented ensemble chemistry, great set design, solid sound quality and vocals.
What a great place to watch good plays! The Campus theatre has a long history and Theatre Denton has made it into one of the best community theaters around. I love that they pull talent from the local colleges, high schools and Denton residents. And the orchestra is awesome - they help make the musicals feel just like you are on Broadway!
Bruce M — Google review
We love seeing shows at Campus as well as at the Annex at the mall. I would recommend y'all set up a separate Google listing for your mall location with location details for out of towners. Specifically letting them know about the back door entrance & parking. It will go a long way in getting the word out about entertainment options on that side of town if it pops up in google & map searches!
Courtney M — Google review
My husband and I enjoyed the production of Jesus Christ SuperStar. Wonderful community production with an extremely talented cast! We also loved the historical theater and the vintage vibe. Free parking was easier to find than we expected!
Jamie C — Google review
I saw Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (CATCF) at Theater Denton on Sunday. What a fun way to spend a couple of hours on a hot summer day. Cool theater off the square. Much of it in its original glory. The over all production was fantastic. The singing, acting and the MUSIC 🎵, all exceeded my expectations. The music was exceptional. Such talented artists. A friend of mine played violin in the performance. She played beautifully. I was actually moved to tears during the show as I was transported back to fond memories of my youth, and to my childhood memories of CATCF. Our seats were perfect for viewing characters across the stage. I didn’t see a bad seat (obstructed) in the house. Parking - Denton can be tricky, especially The Square, and weekends. Come early so you’re not stressing over finding a spot (like I did). They sell snacks and beverages (alcoholic & nonalcoholic) at the concession store. They take cash and credit cards. There’s a cute little WONKA CANDY SHOP spot for photo ops inside the lounge. Candy props and all! Final thought- I expected the theater to be freezing inside. It wasn’t. It was cool enough inside to make me forget about the extreme heat outside. ☺️ This was my first time attending a show at Theater Denton. I’m looking forward to the upcoming shows I’ll see next.
Christy R — Google review
We've seen several slows at this theater and have always enjoyed them. The acting has always been good and the sets and costumes are well done. The theater itself is well designed so you won't get a bad seat. I do recommend arriving early as it is tricky to find parking.
Rachel C — Google review
For $30 a ticket i expected a bit more. Like an air condition that works. Cleaner restrooms. And a staff that could at least act like they want to work there. The play was good even though half the Audience Was Fanning themselves. They could have had fountain drinks which would make them more money. Or ice for your bottle drink so it doesn't get hot by the time you finish it. Come on Denton Theater you could make this place so much nicer and enjoyable
Martin — Google review
Support your local theaters! Just saw Elf the musical to get me into the Christmas spirit. The theater is super cute and cozy. Seating is kind of close and it does get a little stuffy inside, but other than that it was a great performance and experience.

Went to see Carrie the Musical. Very talented group, and I loved the theatre itself.

Beautiful open-air square for family and friends to hang out. Also many fun bars around with college students and locals mingling.

Still a working courthouse for the commissioner's court, the county has made great use of its public space with a variety of displays including a small museum. I understand you can rent out the courthouse for weddings or similar events which would be a nice unique space for such an occasion.

Love hanging at the square, has been a place of music, laughter, families, and couples for over 50 years of my life. I include a photo of The Confederate Soldier, because if we erase our past or hide it away (in a museum) we are doomed to repeat our past. "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana (1863-1952)

Little Chapel in-the-Woods

Mentioned on

Wedding chapel
Sights & Landmarks
The Little Chapel in-the-Woods is a historic and beautiful venue that offers a unique and intimate setting for weddings. The staff provided exceptional support during the pandemic, offering live broadcast options for remote guests. The chapel's rich history and natural beauty make it an ideal location for a wedding, with minimal need for additional decorations. While the venue may be slightly challenging to find, guests ultimately found their way, and coordinators were on hand to assist anyone who needed help.
I had the most amazing experience with the Little Chapel in the Woods, and I can't recommend them enough! Booking with them was incredibly easy—quick, responsive, and stress-free from the start. They provided an amazing coordinator, Kylie, who was there both at the rehearsal and on our wedding day. Kylie was so organized and proactive, arriving early and helping to coordinate with other vendors and guests. She took all the stress out of the day, allowing me to fully enjoy every moment as a bride. The chapel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is just as wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue and team to help make our special day perfect!

I was the photographer for a wedding day at this beautiful chapel in November, and fell in love with it!!! Such a kind staff, and pretty greenery in front of the building for photos! :)) The ceremony I photographed was at night, and felt so romantic in this space!! I look forward to coming back to this Chapel it was such a great space for a wedding ceremony!! <3

I photographed the most beautiful wedding here a few years back, and I have even photographed a TWU grad here! The space is beautiful and I love that it is so close to the garden, pond and greenhouse areas. There are so many beautiful spots around!
Abby P — Google review
This is a beautiful little chapel on the grounds of the university. There are some really gorgeous stained glass to marvel over, and the wood work was amazing too. Our only concern was parking. We finally parked in a permit-only spot, as we decided the risk was worth the amount of time we thought we’d be there.
Tonya B — Google review
Such a beautiful and intimate moody chapel that I was honored to capture at. The staff were very sweet and informative!
Simone W — Google review
As an alumna, having my wedding ceremony here was a dream come true! Nobody needs me to tell them how absolutely beautiful the space is - I didn’t bring in a single flower or ribbon of decoration and just let the chapel speak for itself and had zero regrets. Everyone we worked with, including our day-of attendant Maria, was wonderful, helpful, and kind. Absolutely would recommend it! Note: We had a very large wedding party (seven on each side) - working out positioning was tricky, but gratefully one of my bridesmaids was able to help us figure it out because her sister got married there years before - I’ll include a picture in case anyone is trying to solve the same issue!
Chelsea B — Google review
What an awesome chapel? I was amazed by this wonderful piece of history! I am pastoring a wedding here tomorrow! It is a amazing venue! It was dedicated by Elinor Roosevelt! The upgrades, done entirely by the students of TWU, just blew me away! I was impressed by the coloring if the stain glass windows! Make sure to stop by and see it when you are in the area!

Top O' Hill Terrace

Mentioned on

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Top O' Hill Terrace, often referred to as "Vegas Before Vegas," is a fascinating slice of history nestled in Arlington. Once a bustling casino, restaurant, tea garden, and even a brothel frequented by notorious gamblers and gangsters during the 1920s to late 1940s, this site has seen it all.
Arlington, Texas was probably Vegas BEFORE Vegas?! Who knew! We absolutely LOVED this tour and its fascinating history. Without spoiling it... Gangsters, celebrities, murderers, underground tunnels (we walked through), real life interviews from employees and visitors, undiscovered escape tunnels, and words that cannot be spoken because it will put lives in danger 95 years later... All discovered by the Preacher's wife on the campus of a Baptist Bible Seminary... Do NOT miss the "From Poker to Preachers" tour! This is going to be the next big thing on the HISTORY Channel! I said it first!!!
Alexandrea G — Google review
We’ve passed by this location for over 30 years and today we had the pleasure of touring it for my dad’s birthday. Vickie Provided so much history and knowledge and it was very fascinating to hear about All that had occurred there. Everyone should come check it out!!
Rebecca H — Google review
Vegas before Vegas casino and tea room that operated during de prohibition of the gambling houses in 1933. This place is unique and the curator that explains everything is great during the tour. There were a lot of Texas personalities that visited the place, includes Frank Sinatra and Bonnie & Clyde, other mafia personalities and also politicians.
Jaime C — Google review
I was giving some friends from England a tour of DFW. They were interested in seeing sights related to JFK and I knew this school used to be a casino and that a lot of celebrities and maybe some organized crime were involved. Even though I grew up in Arlington I had never made the time to visit. There's so much history still left underground and unexplored - I hope the city or some benefactor decides to invest because there's so many escape tunnels left hidden and unexplored - this tour will just leave you wanting more! Ask about going to see where Oswald is buried just down the road!
Erin B — Google review
I highly recommend to visit this place and take the tour. Vickie is an amazing tour guide, she knows so much about the place, has met many people who visited as well as their friends of family. This place is called the “Vegas before Vegas” an illicit casino and brothel where many rich and famous people visited during the prohibition era.
Cinthia C — Google review
I had no idea about the history of Top O' Hill Terrace until my sister arranged for us to go on a tour. I was completely unaware that this place was VEGAS BEFORE VEGAS and now it's Arlington Baptist College. If you LOVE or just LIKE History, you'll enjoy Top O' Hill Terrace. This location in the 1930s and 40s was a gambling playground for the rich, famous and infamous. We're talking about some of the big names of that time like Bonnie and Clyde, Mae West, W.C.Fields, Gene Autry, Frank Sinatra,, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Jack Dempsey, Max Baer and the man responsible for Las Vegas, Bugsy Siegel just to name a few. Before it was a casino, it was a tea room but in the 1920s Fred and Mary Browning bought the property and converted it to a gambling mecca. The Browns added an escape tunnel and secret rooms for hiding the gambling equipment during police raids. The tunnel and secret rooms still exist and can be seen during the tour. It's all just fascinating stuff. Tour guide, Mrs. Vickie Bryant, is absolutely WONDERFUL. This tour is a WINNER in my book. 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
C C — Google review
What a treat to be able to learn about and see the property! A gangster casino right in Arlington. That's baller! The tunnels were fascinating. The tour guide was brilliantly knowledgeable. We could tell she's poured her heart and soul in to dissecting the history and connecting the stories wonderfully. Hats off to you and your fantastic work!

Famous people known to visit like Bonnie and Clyde, Ginger Rogers, Sinatra, John Wayne and many more. What a beautiful lake. It's super busy in weekends. Week days are not so bad. Their are lots of covered areas for shade. I saw several boat ramps in just the area I was in. The wildlife was abundant. The sunset was gorgeous. The water was warm.

Clean...beautiful scenery and weather. So cool to watch the planes fly in from different directions. Biggest bonus is the wildlife. Watching them interact is so funny but also very insightful.
Cassandra L — Google review
The lake is huge. Good place to visit during sunset and relaxing. Airplanes keep flying every few minutes and could be a good sight to see as well.
Pranav M — Google review
That's one HUGE and AMAZING lake!!! Pay a visit during the sunset, sit alone, listen to the sound of waves, gaze at the sunset and occasionally the sky that's always filled with flying planes... Observe your soul healing, and mental peace getting straight. And of course, a wonderful place to hang out with friends, to go boating or shore swim.

This has been one of the best surprises I’ve had when in Dallas. I went there for a run but many parts were flooded so I was not able to run all the way along the lake. Even so, the views, the atmosphere and the place is beautiful. Lots of people enjoying summer, having picnics and just contemplating. LOVE!

AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys football team, is not only a renowned sports venue but also a hub for big-name concerts, events, and tours. Recently, it hosted Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo event in partnership with PBR World Finals Championship, infusing bull riding with music and entertainment to create an electrifying atmosphere.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is an absolute masterpiece — home to the Dallas Cowboys and host to some of the biggest concerts, sports events, and shows in the world. The architecture is stunning, the atmosphere electric, and the massive retractable roof makes every event unforgettable. From the moment you walk in, everything feels grand — the giant video screens, comfortable seating, and great sound quality. The staff are professional, and the stadium is well maintained with plenty of food and drink options. Parking is well organized, and it’s conveniently located near restaurants, shops, and major stores like Walmart on Randol Mill Road. Whether you’re here for a game, concert, or tour — AT&T Stadium is a must-visit landmark in Texas! 🏈🎶

I had an amazing experience visiting AT&T Stadium for the Dallas Cowboys VIP tour. Our guide, Todd, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and made the tour truly enjoyable. It was incredible getting behind-the-scenes access and seeing the different parts of the stadium up close. From the locker rooms to the field and all the unique details in between, the tour gave me a whole new appreciation for the stadium. Highly recommend this tour if you want to really experience the home of the Cowboys!
Venita N — Google review
We had a really fun time at the game. We had club member seats and did a pretty game Stadium tour which was really interesting. The staff was nice and professional. However a lot of people can't give you directions. They want you to use the map on the app, which is pretty sad. The brisket macaroni and cheese was so good! Highly recommend that. The club member area was really nice, quite, and not very crowded so that was pleasant. I was in a wheelchair, we were supposed to get a handicap chair, and the rep we worked with to get the tickets/tour at the stadium got 4 seats together in a non wheelchair available row. But the attendant seating us was really great and showed us how we can exchange our tickets for a wheelchair seat. Luckily they ended up being next to each other, just separated by the row of stairs so we were all still together. The elevators get really crowded when leaving so if you have a chance get on it no matter which direction it's going. It will eventually go your direction but it's better to get on. Directions around were clear, and people were nice. Overall a pretty fun experience.
Lauren B — Google review
I attended a Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football game in early November, and although the Cowboys didn’t win, the entire experience was absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, AT&T Stadium lived up to its reputation as one of the most impressive sports venues in the country. I arrived early to soak in the pregame atmosphere at the Miller Lite House, located right outside the stadium gates. The setup was incredible — an open area with a full-size replica Cowboys field, surrounded by bars, food vendors, and fans everywhere. There were plenty of options for drinks, whether you wanted a cold beer, a mixed drink, or something nonalcoholic. Food choices were plentiful and looked great. The Cowboys mascot was out on the field taking photos and interacting with fans, and the live band performing filled the space with music that gave the area the energy of a concert. The crowd was lively, excited, and full of team spirit. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders even performed a pre-game show that had everyone cheering before kickoff. The whole scene was electric and made the buildup to the game just as fun as the game itself. Once I headed inside, I was lucky enough to have club-level seats, which provided an upscale and comfortable experience. The club area had a sleek, high-end look with stylish decor and an open layout. There were several bars and food stations, including a BBQ spot that felt more like a restaurant than a concession stand. You could actually watch the chefs preparing your food right in front of you, which was a nice touch. The seats themselves were padded, spacious, and offered a great view of the field. But it’s almost impossible not to be mesmerized by the massive HD video board hanging above the field — it’s truly something you have to see in person to appreciate. The atmosphere inside the stadium was beyond anything I’ve experienced at a sporting event. Every detail, from the lighting to the sound system, made the game feel larger than life. The fans were passionate and loud but also welcoming to visiting supporters. As a lifelong Cowboys fan from out of state attending my first game at AT&T Stadium, it was an emotional experience seeing the team take the field in person. One of the most memorable parts of the night was the patriotic display throughout the event. Before kickoff, a massive American flag covered the entire field during the national anthem, followed by President George W. Bush conducting the coin toss. During halftime, Medal of Honor recipients were honored, and country music legend Lee Greenwood performed I’m Proud to Be an American live. The level of pride and respect shown for our country was powerful and gave me chills. Even though the final score wasn’t in our favor, the night was everything I hoped it would be and more. AT&T Stadium isn’t just a football venue — it’s an experience that combines entertainment, tradition, and pride in a way few places can. Whether you’re a lifelong Cowboys fan or just a football lover, this is a must-visit stadium that delivers an unforgettable game-day atmosphere.
Nick V — Google review
Im not a cowboys fan but got free club tickets from a friend. The stadium is very nice and modern. The seats were comfortable. I expected food and drinks to be more than expensive but they were reasonable for ball park pricing. I enjoyed the salute to service and seeing the American Flag that covers the entire field. Overall a great experience.
Chris W — Google review
Came in from out of town. Highly recommend the tour before a big game so you can move around the stadium without the crowds. Learned so much about the facilities. Glad I did that. During game day make sure to check your ticket stub to see what entrance to enter from. The only level that circles all the way around is level 400. If your below that you won't be able to circle to the other side of the stadium once inside due to the private suites and vip sections. During game day get their early and enjoy the Miller Life outdoor party.
Jeff D — Google review
Love love love! It's been a dream of mine to see cowboys play in their own field and I made it! We also went to the rally day day before the game and took the tour. So so nice. Lots of information. Lots to see behind the scenes. Our tour guide was ples and Tameka (I think that's her name). Wonderful ladies. Very informative and helpful. I was in a scooter and they made it easy to accommodate me needs. Only issue is there was no food to purchase. Only liquor and maybe water. Upon talking to someone they think it was due to the game being Monday night football. So just be aware that could be a possibility. They did say they usually have food for sale.

This stadium is the hottest!!! As a Redskins fan, I am in awe with Jerry's world. Not a bad view anywhere in the house. The artwork to the food venues and suites are amazing. A must see!!

What an amazing experience! We were there yesterday. It is called the Christmas capital for a reason. Beautiful Christmas atmosphere with dancing lights, snow showers ( not real but felt real!) , Christmas music, pictires with Santa, yummy holiday food samples and so much more! A must visit arpund Christmas time.

These are some of the photos of 38th Annual Main Street Festival. The Festival lasts for May 20, 21 and 22 2022. There are a lot of people at this festival and there are bands, varieties of foods and rides for children. There are also different things that you can buy as well. There's also wine tasting, jewelry that you can buy and more. The booths are scattered throughout the festival and each both offers something different. This particular event is kid friendly and has something for everyone in it.

Perfect place for a nice walk, full of history, shops, restaurants, and lots of spots for great pictures. It has the perfect small town vibe but within minutes of Dallas and Fort Worth.

Rocky & I love visiting historic Downtown Grapevine! Especially during Christmas. Rocky is the 2020 & 2021 Dog Days of Denton SpokesDog and he loves walking main street and meeting so many nice people.

Grapevine is often called the "Christmas Capital of Texas", and going off their downtown you can definitely see why. A majority of the buildings are elaborately decorated, and there is an abundance of photo opportunities if you need to create last-minute Christmas cards. There are plenty of interactive elements, including a model train exhibit in the visitor center, a live blacksmith, and snowman which come to life to sing a "Can't Stop the Feeling" parody at night. I will say a high percentage of the shops fall under the "tourist trap" category: I'm a big fan of weird socks, but once you see the same designs for the dozenth time it starts to get a bit tiring. There seemed to be an outsized focus on small businesses, so that's nice. It gets very crowded during the Christmas season. I first arrived at a Sunday around 5, and the adjacent parking garage was completely full, leading to a 20 minute wait to find a parking spot. It got ridicously slammed by 7. On a Tuesday I arrived at 11am to low crowds but it got a bit busy by 1 and started to really pick up by when I left at 3. The rate for the garage is thankfully very reasonable. If you are in the DFW area, I definitely recommend visiting. Even beyond Christmas, downtown Grapevine has a lot of interesting historical landmarks throughout as one of the oldest incorporated communities in the metroplex, and although I complained about the shopping options, there are some real gems here. Grapevine is right next to the DFW airport and within a 30 minute drive of most major cities in the area, so travel should not be a big issue.

Hurricane Harbor Arlington stands as North Texas' largest water park, sprawling over an impressive 50 acres filled with thrilling rides and refreshing attractions. This aquatic paradise boasts a staggering one-million-gallon wave pool and features unique areas like Hook's Lagoon, which offers three lagoons, a pirate ship, and 150 interactive elements spread across twelve levels—ensuring that staying dry is nearly impossible!
Pretty fun park and good fries. The family rides on the left of the park are the best. Arrive when it opens for short lines. Floors are a little hot and I don't recommend the side salad.

Visited for my first time on a Friday. Got the Silver Season Pass online that morning (it was the same price as a single-day ticket with parking). WHAT I LIKED: Rolled up about 40 minutes after the park opened. There was no wait to enter the lot or the park itself. Slides were fun and wait times weren't bad (with the exception of Sea Wolf). Lazy river was relaxing, wave pool was fun, and the water temperatures weren't too cold. They honor the All Season Drink Bottle from the Six Flags park. There are lots of lockers which are super conveniently located and easy to access throughout the day. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE Not near enough shaded chairs / loungers!!! There's lot of shaded picnic tables. The very small amount of shaded seats get snagged by the first people in the park. They are located to the left of the wave pool (chairs) and by Suntan Lagoon (lounge chairs). You can't bring your own tubes for the lazy river but can rent theirs. Not tubes allowed in the wave pool. Some of the best slides require 2 riders. There could be better signage leading to the rides, entrances to the lazy river (some spots are exit only) and restrooms. NOTE: Some slides require you to step on a scale just before placing your tube to be launched.

The park is great for kids of all ages with lots of water areas for playing and swimming. They're are lots of waterslides to choose from, even a mini version of two fun ones for the littles! The only complaint we had was the all day dining tickets had all kinds of issues! It was frustrating, but we still had fun at the park.
Michele M — Google review
Had a blast! Kids loved it since we got there early to get on some of the best slides without a long wait. Also it helps with some shaded seating areas. Went on almost all the slides, the kids splash pad area is really fun even for the bigger kids. Food and drinks are a bit pricey as you would expect but the quality is above average, no complaints. Can't wait to go back!

We came to Hurricane Harbor on a Wednesday and the lines were short for most slides and there was plenty of parking. The staff members we met were respectful and professional. Hurricane Harbor is a fun place but shade is a premium. We rented a locker, the bathrooms are large and clean. With benches for changing.

I have been having fun at this water park for 30 years! We love cooling off with so much to do in one place. The slides are awesome with lots of levels of wild for all ages. Loads of food, treats, shade, lounge chairs, pools, and gear. A must go for summertime joy!

Had a great time here! Ample parking but had to walk a bit from car to park entrance. It would help if there were location identifiers in the parking lot to help remember where cars are parked. Numbered rows or even an animal or shape for zones. Liked all the places for shoes at bottom of rides but they weren't at all the rides.

Six flag water park, hurricane Harbor. It's the biggest water park in Dallas fort Worth, located in Arlington. It's just on the other side of Six Flags. It has a wave pool, lazy river, a new 2025 kids area, o lot of baby slides to every extreme ones. Lines are long as normal six flag, be patient. The pop corn bucket and soda bottle from six flags can be used here. They also have paid lockers. It's a lot of sun, make sure to bring sunscreen.

Cool that high schools can use this once great stadium. Wish it was still in good condition, it’s obviously not being taken care of at the same level.
W C — Google review
We attended a high school playoff game here. It was a great experience. The Budewiser banner and illuminated sign were a little concerning, given UIL rules regarding allowing alcohol to be advertizrd to minors. I'm sure it isn't intentional, but with the number of high school games played here, this signage really should be taken down and or covered or simply turned off.

Nestled in Grapevine, Texas, the Great Wolf Lodge Water Park is a vibrant family-friendly resort that promises an unforgettable getaway. Just a short drive from Downtown Dallas, this destination boasts an impressive indoor water park filled with thrilling slides, multiple pools, and engaging water games that will keep kids entertained for hours. Beyond the splashes and slides, families can enjoy character meet-and-greets, storytime sessions, and cozy PJ parties designed to create lasting memories.
Me and my family visit water parks multiple times a year. Each time we reserve cabana’s. Schlitterbahn, six flags, and kalahari to name a few in the state. Layne was hands down the best server I have ever had. We had a cabana for 2 days and this man treated us like family and was like clockwork anywhere in the park. Even when we weren’t in our private cabana he was refilling our drinks when they got low anywhere in the park. He was very charismatic and genuinely a great individual. Great wolf lodge we were the Langley family in cabana #3 and #4 on 25th and 26th of October 2025. Show this employee a great deal of appreciation he is exceptional. He is the reason we will be coming back and continuing to spend our money on cabana’s As for rooms: I’ve had better but that’s not why we came. They were clean but basic. The dance party for my 2 year old was great and she loved all the activities for her and all the children everyday including children’s morning yoga. If you’re old this isn’t a destination meant for you. It’s geared towards children and that’s what makes this place special. On top of employee’s like Layne who make the experience memorable.

Great Wolf Lodge Review Our recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge was a fun-filled family adventure with a few areas for improvement. Water Park & Safety: The lifeguards were absolutely amazing — incredibly attentive and quick to act. We even saw them step in multiple times to help kids who needed assistance, which made us feel very safe. The water park itself is great, but next time I’ll definitely bring water shoes — the floors can feel a little icky at times. Staff & Service: We had a couple of moments where kids got separated from their families, but the staff handled it swiftly and professionally. Overall, the employees are friendly, though they could use more help during peak times. Lines at the attractions can get long, and service at the restaurants is noticeably slow. Food prices are a bit steep if it’s not part of your package. Breakfast was definitely better than dinner, so I’d recommend going with a breakfast-inclusive deal if possible. Facilities & Amenities: The elevators are pretty slow, so if you’re able, it’s faster to take the stairs. The MagiQuest game is a big hit with kids, but parents should pack patience — and comfy shoes! There’s also a full Starbucks on site, which is a lifesaver for early mornings. Tips for Your Stay: Bring hand sanitizer (there aren’t enough stations around the resort) and water shoes for the park. Overall: Despite some slow service and long waits, Great Wolf Lodge offers a safe, family-friendly environment packed with activities. The staff’s attentiveness and the fun atmosphere make it worth the visit — just go prepared and plan ahead for the crowds.

We had a great experience. I read a lot of horrible reviews before I left and was prepared for a disappointing experience but it was the opposite. Cleanliness: the rooms, resort, main areas, and water park were all clean. I saw mutlple workers cleaning throughout the day. No concerns in this area, rarely saw trash or debris anywhere. Food: yes overpriced, convenient not to leave the resort though. We did breakfast buffet, pizza and salad for lunch and dinner buffet. We also brought snacks and sanswhich stuff. Disappointed in the meal plan only because I thought I waa saving money but turns out the breakfast buffet for the kids was only 12.99 so plus the 30 a day dining credit, I saved 0 dollars (42.99 a person a day). Mediocre food but was not expecting a fine dining experience. Skip the dinner buffet and just get a couple pizzas. Food credits work as a balance on your account, they only expire when you leave but not at midnight like other posts I read. Waterpark: go early in the am and the last 2 hours of ope ingredients 6-8 if you want to ride the slides, all other times were 30 plus minute wait. The tornado and green tube slide were our favorite. There was enough seating even on Saturday. The outside pool waa open too which was great to get some air. Activities: kids loved magiquest, halloween events and Luna story. We got the wolf pass and 2nights/3 days struggled to complete all the activities. We did it though! This place is a whole experience, its expensive. They try to upgrade you on everything (the wand, candy, etc). I knew this going in so it waa no big deal, this was one and done for us bucket list item. Probably won't be back unless we can get rooms super cheap. 2 nights, 2 wolf passes, late check out, upgraded patio, wolf den, and dining plan for 3, parking etc our bill was 1400. Pricey but worth it for a quick get away. Try it out but level set expectations. Other things to note, they dont check bags going into water park, people brought coolers etc, they have towels no need to bring them. A back pack is a must, goggles, snacks, water cups, enjoy your time!

Very upset with GWL. We booked a room a month in advance for my daughters 10th birthday. We also added an extra package (birthday package) where the room was supposed to be decorated just for them and make kids feel special. When checking in we reminded the desk clerk about the package and she said yes and to give them some extra time to make sure it was ready. So we went and had a late lunch. We came back and went to our room and absolutely nothing . So we put our swimsuits on and went to the water park for a few hours and came back and still nothing. Greatly disappointed. So its Halloween time and the app says trick or treating is about to start, so we get my daughter in her costume and go out to go trick or treating and they cancelled it. Also the outside waterpark was closed without any notice. Everything GWL was supposed to do was not done. With the price we paid and flying from California to Dallas for our vacation and then not doing what was paid for was a huge let down We have been to 2 other GWL and never had a problem. This place is much smaller and management needs better training. The food in the corn dog place was burnt and old and I forgot to mention that we planned to have dinner at the buffet however that was closed too for some reason I don't think we will be returning . We paid good money and did not receive what we paid for.

We had a blast. We visited the resort to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We had so much fun, every single employee and staff were amazing all of them deserve a huge shootout, they were always willing to help and support with a smile. We did not have anything bad to say about our stay the kids were very happy, we did every single attraction and we enjoyed them so much we always had something to do and discover. Definitely this is a great place for families. Howls

Our group of five women meets yearly to attend a conference, and this year we chose the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, reserving a suite months in advance so we could all stay together for collaboration and convenience. We booked directly and even confirmed the week of our arrival. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we were given a basic standard room with one bathroom for five adults. After much back and forth, we were finally provided two rooms, but it was not the suite we had carefully planned for. We were also looking forward to relaxing by the pool, only to find it closed “for the season”—despite the fact that temperatures were in the upper 80s during our stay. Our wing of the hotel was under renovation and it showed: messy hallways, water leaks, and multiple maintenance issues. One of our rooms had no hot water, a leaking faucet, and non-functioning AC, and non working appliances. The other room developed a water leak into the wall and hallway, which led to workers needing to enter our space during our stay. The hallways also had large wet areas, suggesting this was not an isolated issue. The food was mediocre at best and very overpriced. By the weekend, the property turned into a madhouse. Elevators broke down, leaving only one set available, which was overcrowded with guests and staff. More than once, we were bumped for service carts. Stairs then were closed for an accident which left us waiting for 35+ minutes for elevators. The restrooms near the waterpark were also in unacceptable condition—wet floors, toilet paper everywhere, and overflowing toilets. To be fair, there were a few bright spots. The front desk staff truly did the best they could under difficult circumstances. Our waitress at Fireside was lovely, and Joshua—the 22-year-old maintenance worker—was outstanding. He came to our rescue multiple times and was the most helpful part of our stay. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed the positives. This was my second visit to a Great Wolf Lodge (the first was in Denver), and both times I encountered significant issues. The concept is wonderful, but the execution and upkeep are sorely lacking. For the price and expectations, I cannot recommend this property.
Tiffany N — Google review
The room was very nice and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pretty pricey but we had a great time! The waterpark was so much fun. I recommend getting the passes for the kids, it’s worth the money for all they get to do around the resort.
Dianna D — Google review
Overall, a good experience. We had some not so awesome things and some awesome things. We had to switch rooms twice, had issues with the smell, once we had our second room our room phone didn’t work nor our refrigerator but they were doing what seemed to be a whole floor construction renovation, so maybe that is why it didn’t work. The Waterpark seems rundown, in need of some renovation and overall The cleanliness of the waterpark was not there. I will say the water was clear, but the walkways were filled with Band-Aids, spilled ice cream, smooshed, cupcakes, wet napkins, etc. the only time I really saw someone clean was about 7 PM when the waterpark closed at 8 PM. Now, I will say that there is some amazing things about this place. There were several employees that went out of there way to make her experience magical. My boys absolutely loved Magiquest , had fun at the bowling alley, had fun at the arcade, And enjoy some other amenities. The wolf pass/pup pass seem to be a wonderful add-on. The kids felt like they had tons of options with this pass and us as parents didn’t feel like we had to keep spending more and more money, as it was already included in the pass. The Luna bedtime story was extremely well done And all of my kids were enamored by the story. We had a ton of fun at the dance party, enjoyed interactive games at the grounds, and Had fun at the virtual trail. However, it is the employees that would make you want to come back. One employee stuck out from the rest and that was Evan. He went out of his way to make sure that we had the best guest experience. We appreciate all you did for our family! Thank you, Evan for making a howling good time.

Water & Amusement Parks
Six Flags Over Texas is a 200-acre amusement park in Arlington, offering over 50 rides and live entertainment. It has been a popular destination for tourists and locals for more than 50 years. The park features a variety of attractions suitable for all ages, from thrilling roller coasters like the Galactic Attack virtual reality coaster to family-friendly rides such as the Runaway Mine Train and El Sombrero. There's also Bugs Bunny Boomtown, designed for young thrill-seekers.
Great Day Out – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic day at the park! It’s easy to reach and there are plenty of parking spaces, which made our arrival really smooth. When we visited, it wasn’t very crowded, so we didn’t have to wait long for any of the rides – a big plus! The attractions themselves are excellent – everything looked well-maintained and fairly new. There’s something for every age group, from little kids to thrill-seekers looking for a serious adrenaline rush. The park really offers a great mix of fun for everyone. We absolutely loved our time there and would definitely recommend it. The overall experience, especially considering the price, is excellent value for money.

This is a very cool park, I was so excited to visit since it's the original six flags park. a few rides were closed like the train and observation tower, but the rest of the park was open and running well. They have a nice assortment of coasters and other rides, and although I had a little trouble finding my way around the park, I did manage to ride everything that I planned to. The park was clean, I felt safe and the employees were great during my visit. I enjoyed it very much.
Sarah P — Google review
We had a great time at Six Flags! The rides were awesome, and the overall atmosphere was full of energy and fun. Definitely a place where thrill-seekers can have a blast. That said, a few things could have been better planned for. Some of the more popular rides had wait times up to an hour, which slowed down our day a bit — wish we’d known that ahead of time so we could have prioritized better. Also, the food prices inside the park were quite expensive, which caught us off guard. We ended up stepping out for about an hour to grab lunch elsewhere, which worked out okay but took time away from the park. Lastly, it would be really helpful if there were more public water fountains especially on a hot day. Staying hydrated shouldn't be so difficult! Overall, we still had a wonderful day full of memories, just recommended to come prepared!

We had a great time! Lines to get in were quick but the ride lines were all about an hour or longer. We got the membership though so we came the next day for the last night of fright fest. I love the membership option! I'm glad I get to experience the park with my kids like I did with my dad. I do miss the old show at the Blackburn Theater. I always wanted to sing and dance so watching the performers was always my favorite. This year's show was called Toxicity I think. It was more acrobatic but not what I hoped for. Amazing skills none the less. The trampoline skeletons were my favorite lol Can't wait for Holiday in the Park.

I took my boys here for a day on our way back home to Phoenix from Arkansas. I hadn’t been to six Flags since 1996, so my expectations were low based on what I hear people say about the Six Flags brand. Unfortunately, those people are usually comparing six flags to Disneyland. It’s just not a fair comparison. Six Flags Over Texas is a great one day theme park when you factor in the price. We paid $150 for three tickets plus my two year old, which is a third of the cost of Disneyland. The unlimited drink cup is an absolute blessing that every theme park needs to adopt. I was extremely happy with the amount of family/kid friendly rides at the park. That was a big concern for me with smaller children. We spent about six hours in the park on a Monday and rode probably twenty rides total. Early in the week is Devin the way to go. I really wish Six Flags would open a park I. The Phoenix Metro area. We would be frequent customers for sure (Hurricane Harbor doesn’t count).

Hawaiian Falls Mansfield, located in The Colony and Garland, Texas, features slides, rides, a wave pool and lazy river. It is set to reopen on June 4th in The Colony and June 5th in Garland. This water park is themed after the tropical paradise of Hawaii and is family-friendly. Limited capacity ensures visitor safety while staying in line with Governor Abbott's recommendation of 25%.
First time to this Hawaiian falls, and we all had a blast , bought season passes w buddy pass . So we all gained from the experience with savings and tons of fun for my 6, 4 and 1 year old. Recommended if your on a friendly budget. And staff at kids area did the best job 👏 🙌

I’ve been a loyal guest at Hawaiian Falls for years and have never had issues—until now. During our recent visit, the park was in poor condition: trash everywhere, filthy restrooms, and an overall unsanitary environment. It was so bad we left within two hours. When I raised my concerns, my family and I felt singled out and disrespected. Although management initially responded, I was only offered a season pass transfer or VIP experience—no refund, despite the seriousness of the situation. I’m leaving this review not out of spite, but in hopes that Hawaiian Falls will take feedback seriously and improve conditions.

The waterpark itself is fun, but most of the staff is very young, customer service here lacks, and you can tell. For example, they sell Pretzels With Cheese... They make you get the Cheese from the Sharkey's Bar, which is a separate line and is normally very long. Then, after you get the Cheese from Sharkey's, you have to go back and stand in line again at Surfside Snack Shack to buy the Pretzel. Why not just pre fill a bunch of cheese containers and keep them in the small warmer with the Churros AT THE SURFSIDE SNACK SHACK. NO ONE WANTS TO GO STAND IN A SEPARATE LINE WHILE THE ICE IN THE DRINKS MELT. Do better Hawaiian Falls.

We brought our daughter here and was pleasantly surprised by how much bigger it was than we thought it would be. I was expecting a tiny little local "neighborhood" feel but this place is actually pretty big. It's like a smaller version of hurricane harbor. My daughter had a lot of fun and we did as well. The blue and yellow big slide was a lot of fun. My only disappointment was the wave pool. We sat in it for about 25 minutes because when the "waves" would start, we assumed those weren't the actual waves considering they were barely noticeable. I mean, literally you can hardly tell there's waves coming, I kept thinking those waves just meant the machines were starting up and the bigger ones were coming soon, but it never happened. I guess with it being a more smaller-kid focused park, it's understandable though.

Great way to spend quality time with your kids... Really great play areas for little kids. I have never had to wait to get in. We like to go early and the wait for the big slides is minimal. The only downside is that if you want to buy lunch there, it always takes forever.

Took incredibly long to ride any rides. Learned later that you could speed up ride time slightly by renting a tube. There are not enough tubes on any of the rides. One ride near wave pool have a deflated tube. I guess if i were to return, I would rent a tube to at least skip the wait on the free tube.

Ray Roberts Lake State Park is a must-visit! 🌊🌳 It feels just like a small beach — soft sand, clear water, and peaceful surroundings. Perfect for a relaxing day out, picnic, or just soaking up some sun. A hidden gem for nature and lake lovers! 🏖️☀️

Great place for camping! The park is peaceful and well kept, and I loved being able to see both the sunrise and sunset over the lake. Lots of wildlife too – we saw deer walking near the campsites. A beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature.

The Best of North Texas Camping - Spacious Sites, Great Trails, and Lake Access! Ray Roberts Lake State Park (Isle du Bois unit) is an absolute gem and our favorite spot for a weekend getaway near DFW. It perfectly balances a beautiful natural setting with fantastic amenities. What We Loved: Spacious Campsites: We stayed in the [Deer Ridge/Quail Run/Juniper Cove - pick one if you know!] area, and the sites were large, grassy, and offered a great sense of privacy. The trees provide excellent shade, and the setup with water/electric hookups, a picnic table, and a fire ring was perfect. The Multi-Use Trails: The paved trails are immaculate and ideal for biking, jogging, or a long walk. We especially loved exploring the scenic routes that lead right down to the water. The access to the larger Greenbelt Corridor is a huge bonus for long-distance enthusiasts! Clean Facilities: The restroom and shower facilities were some of the cleanest we’ve encountered at a state park. Hot showers are a welcome luxury after a day of hiking. Lake Access: Whether you're fishing off the pier, launching a kayak, or just relaxing at the designated swim beach, the lake is beautiful and easy to get to from the main campgrounds. Tips for Your Visit: Book Early: This park is extremely popular, especially the lakeside spots, so reserve your site well in advance. Watch for Deer: We saw several deer grazing right through the campsite area in the early morning and evening—a treat for nature lovers!

This very large state park has something for everyone. There are trails to hike, bike, walk your dog or ride your horse. Plenty of camping slots, whether for tent, car, or RV camping. Only surprise is that there are no full hookups for RVs (or we never saw any). They have water and power, but no sewer/black or gray water drainage at the individual sites. To dump waste, they do have a waste station, though, so you can use it upon arrival or departure. And so many trees, so many paved trails! Lots of deer (do not feed the wildlife, though). The lake has catfish, crappie, and bass fishing with a fish cleaning station for convenience. Very nice, smooth launch area for your boats. Plenty of parking in lots of areas. Swim beach without lifeguard. Free life jacket loaners. Playground. Picnic areas, sandy volley ball pit, pier to walk or fish from. So much in this huge park. We love it here!

I went here for one day camping and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was in the Quail Run area and had easy access to the water. The water wasn't very deep where I was, unless you went out about 50 years from the shore, then it got to about chest high on a 6 foot person. While I personally didn't visit the pier or dedicated swimming areas, they are here to enjoy. Alcohol is strictly prohibited and the 10 PM curfew is enforced, as well. It is a beautiful lake, quiet and peaceful. God bless Texas!

The park is well maintained and easy to get around. Trails are peaceful with plenty of shade, and the views are worth the visit. Great spot for picnics, or just a quiet day outdoors. Definitely a relaxing escape from the city.

My wife and our dogs went camping at the Ile du bois unit, park has a great walking and bike trails, and the campsites were well arranged, if a little small and crowded. Close to dallas, with almost complete cell coverage, but pretty quiet and beautiful.
Phillip V — Google review
We loved this place. Entrance fee is a little too high for the services. Restrooms are not well kept but regardless you can still have a good experience ranging from swimming in the water and going on a hike and spotting the deers. I would highly recommend this place. Picnic areas are also available and accesible.

The aquarium boasts an array of interactive exhibits, including a popular 360-degree shark tunnel and a sea turtle rescue center. Visitors can marvel at over 5,000 sea creatures such as seahorses, jellyfish, and stingrays while learning about conservation efforts. Fantastic time! Very knowledgeable staff. Shout out to Greenlee for taking the time to talk about the animals in the tank. Interactive kiosks were cool with English and Spanish options. Great experience overall! Will visit again!

We here a couple weeks ago. My friend had his kids birthday party there. We had a private room to celebrate and have fun activities for kids and everyone. It was pretty nice just make sure you know the rules first we wasn’t aware we couldn’t separate to go to the aquarium until we were done with the birthday but it all worked out anyway. The people there were nice and helpful. When we went to the aquarium, it was pretty nice and bigger than expected. Just know there are other kids there so it can get crowded at times but in the end, it was still fun. In case you looking for it it’s next to the Lego place.

I had a wonderful time here! We celebrated my granddaughter’s 1st birthday party here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the atmosphere and aquatic attraction they have here. You don’t expect it to be as big as it is by the way it looks from the photos. We were shocked by how big it was and talk about beautiful, you can tell that they take care of there fishes and other species. I give it a 10 out of 10.
Lashae — Google review
Was okay. Was super crowded, so we couldn't get to see well or enjoy the exhibitions. But they have the tunel, with sharks and etc...that was a +A and the sea turtles..."I love love, love them ". Kids had fun,so my goal was completed. We found a dead cockroach!! -100 on that Gift shop was okay as well and the staff was nice. Nothing bad for a aquarium inside the mall.

It was amazing. The only thing that I would say is I think it's a little overpriced but it blows away the one in Dallas. My daughter went to the one in Dallas when she saw these pictures she said wow where's this one! I really liked when you're walking What looks like through the water that was really awesome and my grandson loved it. I just think it should be a little bit cheaper but it's beautiful

First time to visit and would definitely do it again. The kids had so much fun. Since I do have a special needs daughter, I look out for our community. Sea Life Grapevine is wheelchair friendly. Everything is open inside for all to see. The peak through tunnels are the only issue inside, as the child has to be removed from their chair if possible to look through, but you can the fish without doing the peek bubble. Handicap bathroom is large, but only has a changing table for babies. I added the $7 tour behind the scenes. Our tour guide was amazing and what we saw was worth the price; however I wouldn't buy it again it. Tickets were less on their website compared to Groupon. We had 3 adults, 3 kids, 1yr old who was free. I ONLY paid $179 and this included behind the scenes. It was a fun-filled day with my kids.
Patricia N — Google review
Sea Life is an amazing place to visit! There’s a wide variety of fish and sea creatures to see, and you can tell they take really good care of them. The ticket price is quite reasonable for the experience you get. The staff are passionate and happy to explain things, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Shelly H — Google review
Loved going to this place with my family. We bought tickets the day before, and you can't take food or drink in the aquarium, but it is inside the mall, so you can go eat at the nearby food court. They also have VR section, but that is an additional thing to pay for when you buy your tickets. You do have the option to print the tickets out, or just show them on your phone.

I haven't been here in years. It has changed so much! It's so easy to spend 2+ hours in here. There's a little bit of everything for everyone and highly recommend coming here on a free day! ☺️

Great mall, excellent food court and a lot of stores. It has a lot of outlet stores too. They also have a place that can duplicate keys and program key fobs for cars. This mall is just like the Katy Mills Mall in Houston.
Alex C — Google review
Grapevine Mills Mall is my second favorite Mall in the DFW area. I have been there numerous times. But my favorite is still The Stonebriar Mall, I just don't live close enough to the Stonebriar, to make it there more often. Anyway I like the numerous Cologne and Perfume stores that they have there and have purchased a few different colognes in the past few months. Recently I visited the Aquarium with my sister and that was fun. So it has a lot to see, a decent food court of course lots of parking space etc. It's visited by both locals and a lot of people that you can tell have just arrived from the nearby DFW airport. So it's definitely one of the hot spots for the DFW area.
Dennis G — Google review
Favorite mall to explore with my kids. We love all the food court options and that there are so many stores for each of our interests. Hot topic, box lunch, earthbound, round 1 and the custom t-shirt kiosk are some of our favorites. Its cool there is five below and Boba tea options also. When we're feeling fancy we spend forever in bath and body works and I take a walk through Victoria secret. Legoland, the movies, sea quest, meow wolf and rainforest cafe are all super fun! Overall like I said it's our favorite mall.

Grapevine Mills in Dallas-Fort Worth is a premier shopping destination featuring over 180 stores, outlet boutiques, and a massive food court. Visitors enjoy entertainment options like a movie theater, Legoland Discovery Center, and Sea Life Aquarium. With scheduled events, ample parking, and proximity to DFW Airport, it’s ideal for family outings.
Manikandan — Google review
Grapevine Mills shopping mall is a gigantic, better than average brand name discount outlet center. It offers a nearly complete set of top fashion brands, as well as a few European ones, but not Vitton, of course. Discounts vary from brand to brand, store to store, but generally can be 30% to 50% in some cases. Some brands, like Ralph Lauran, are usually only 10% except for "special sales." These are augmented with some American discount retailers like Ross's and Marshalls, along with specialty fast food take away restaurants in the large food court, and a couple of sit down ones like Chili's. We have shopped there countless times and found some very good buys over the years. It has TWO full length full store aisleways. It can be quite crowded on weekends and holidays. It is about one half miles+ long and takes about 20 minutes to walk end to end. There are good restroom and baby changing facilities throughout. There is more than substantial parking, but you may have to write your parking spot down, because the parking is equal to, or exceeds Disneyland in size with NO trolly to ferry you back and forth. Customer service is generally quite good, but varies from store to store. We do recommend it if you prefer name brand clothing. I highly recommend you review it online before you go to see what brands are there and what clothing models or retail items are being offered.

Beautiful place with whole bunch of animals at a reasonable price. Kids enjoyed feeding animals. Petting zoo was a real hit . Kids stayed there most of the time. The treasure hunt was an interesting part of it though our kids couldn’t find any. Still they enjoyed searching for those. We all loved it 🥰 Must visit for animal lovers and those with kids.
Kayalvizhi R — Google review
This place was fantastic. Highly recommend. So much more interactive and educational than any other zoo we have been to. The feeding schedule is perfect to follow along and learn about the animals. Our kids loved being so close to the animals and getting to ask the staff all their questions. We will definitely be back. Our family favorites were definitely the hyena, tiger and the bears!
Bethany B — Google review
We had such an amazing time. The animals we were allowed to pet were so sweet and friendly. Only thing I’d caution is very small children going into the petting zoo w feed bags the goats are…. HIGHLY food motivated 😅 but it made for some hilarious memories. All in all excellent experience, will definitely be returning.
Nicole N — Google review
A great place to take the kids and the whole family. Almost every animal was rescued and they take great care of them. There is a feeding/educational talk every half an hour, a chance to get up close and even feed half the animals there. All the donations go straight to the animals. For $100 6 people can go up close with a lemur for 20 min. I will be coming back for my sons 8th Birthday party.

Best kept secret in North Texas!!!! The exhibits are very nice, the staff is helpful & friendly & the prices are great (check Groupon for even more great discounts). Bring a picnic lunch & enjoy the picnic area or stop by the food trucks. We've been several times & loved every experience.

I can't believe I only recently became aware of this place. It's about an hour from Dallas and we went here for my son's birthday. He had the best time! We easily could have stayed longer than the 5 hours we were already there but it was pretty hot. The splash pad they have put in for the kids is amazing and nice because our summers are so hot. We did one of the experiences with the Lemurs and that has to be one of the coolest things ever. Next time I want to do the sloth experience!

This place is fantastic! 🐷🐫🦙 If I had ONE tip... It would be... Do NOT go in without buying food for the animals at the ticket booth. They will follow you around... They will make strange noises at you... They will try to eat your cell phone... Until you feed them. Then they'll be happy happy happy 🥰🩷 Lol Seriously. This place is super cute!❤️

Lake is good. Boat launch area was good. The beach was good. The CHECKING in took way too long. Not enough parking place in the RV parking site. Charging extra for each guest was too much. Charging for boat extra is ABSURD. Also, you should charge by the car NOT per person. Grass not mowed in the RV parking area.

This park is awesome for camping we went here on my son's birthday and the campgrounds are very nice and clean and well-maintained and they have really good hiking trails and they have a lake that you can get in it is absolutely beautiful! This place is also good for other trips such as Boy Scout trips which we noticed when we were there a lot of people were taking family trips and group activities such as youth groups and family reunions. Still with all the people the noise level wasn't bad.

Texas tulips perfect excuse to walk around by pretty blooms and spend the afternoon outside. $7 per person, $3 per stem for the 2025 season The longer you walk with your picked flowers the faster they wilt. I walked the whole field first comparing what tulips I should pick then I started picking. Some sections are taller than others depending on when you go of course. We went the second week they were open and blooms were plentiful. Friendly staff though you are mostly on your own. Signs on how to pick and baskets are provided for your tulips while picking.
Mya M — Google review
It is beautiful for sure. We came early March so some haven't blossomed yet. I'd definitely recommend later maybe April to visit. I think it's a bit overpriced. $7 to walk around then $3 per tulip. You are paying to pick your own flowers and then paying for the flowers. We did enjoy ourselves and will probably be back. So it's all worth it in the end to have the memories. The tulips really are beautiful!
Robin P — Google review
Always a great place to visit. Much of field is easy to navigate, but be prepared for part of the tulip field to be muddy. Lots of variety of colors and shapes. A great place to be outside and enjoy beautiful flowers. It's hard to resisting picking some to bring them home. The team does a great job trimming and wrapping them to get them home in great shape.
Kjerstine N — Google review
Went on last week of March for the first time ,the experience is kind of disappointing as in many rows the tulips arent blossomed (attached pic) . Only 2-3 rows were abundant with flowers. Not sure if it was wrong time or we over expected. Travelled around 3 hrs to visit and wish there are more flowers available. Entrance fee -$7 ,packaging for flowers -$3.
Deepak — Google review
We were waiting for them to open for the season. And so , when we saw on their website that they are open , we decided to pay a visit. It's a 7$ per person entry fee and 3$ for each tulip, if you wish to pick some for yourself. As others have reviewed, there were definitely a few varieties of tulips that had not yet bloomed. But there were quite a few rows of them that were in different stages of bloom. The farm wasn't much crowded as we visited on a weekday. We got to take some lovely pictures. There is also a small area on the other end of the farm with a snow white structure , a huge chair , a white carriage etc which are great for photo ops.
Aarati — Google review
After living in Texas for 9 years and 4 years since I found out about this place, it did NOT disappoint! I only live an hour away and my husband and I took our kids and they loved it. The flowers were all perfectly bloomed and the variety was amazing. Definitely worth the trip and money.
Valeria C — Google review
I like the simplicity of this place. Free parking and plenty of rows to pick flowers from. My girls loved every minute of it. It’s $7 per person to enter and $3 per stem. Was about $100 total for 4 of us but we made out with a bunch of flowers.
Brittany C — Google review
Beautiful and charming experience! The fields are stunning and make for amazing photos. The only thing to keep in mind is timing—it’s important to go early in the season when the blooms are at their best. Later in the season, the flowers may be picked over or wilted. Perfect for a spring day trip! 💐✨

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park in West Plano, offering a variety of outdoor activities. The preserve features 3 miles of paved hiking trails, a playground, picnic pavilion, and public restrooms. For those seeking solitude, there are also 3 miles of unpaved trails that wind through the property's hidden pathways. Cycling enthusiasts can explore off-road cycling trails in the southern part of the preserve.
I visited Arbor Hills today. I used to frequent this area just to spend time in nature and enjoy my walk. I haven’t been to this area in a while until today because I moved out of the area. But today was a special day because I decided to come back and visit this beautiful nature preserve. Indeed, Arbor Hills is a nature preserve. As you’re walking this season, you will notice the beautiful grassy plains swaying in the wind. There are an abundant of trails that you can take to explore different areas of the preserve. It is a great place to casually ride your bike and is also a popular destination for photography. The nature preserve also has a well equipped playground for children to play and bathrooms for men and women and a family bathroom. There is also a picnic area that you can reserve to have gatherings. Arbor Hills is a great place to walk your dog as they provide poop bags along the main path. After finishing your walks and explorations, treat yourself to some ice cream from the ice cream truck that usually is parked near the restrooms in the afternoons, ready to happily serve customers.

This park is on a smaller scale, but diverse. There are three types of habitats, with various fauna and flora. The paths are well maintained, easily accessible by strollers, or wheelchairs. There are bike trails. We walked the cca 2-mile loop in about 40 minutes, but there are more paths for longer walks. There are occasional elevation changes. The restrooms are not the best looking, but had soap, water and toilet paper. The best feature is the ice cream truck positioned at the parking lot. The parking lot is quite large, for about 100 vehicles.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is one of my favorite places to relax and reconnect with nature. The trails are clean, well-marked, and surrounded by beautiful trees, open fields, and scenic views. I love how there’s something for everyone — paved paths for easy walks, dirt trails for a little adventure, and even a lookout tower with an amazing view!

I visited Arbor Hills 2 days ago. I discovered this area for walking and spending some good times in the evening. This place is good for enjoying sunset, walking, walking dogs, jogging, and cycling, and it is kids friendly. It is preserved by nature. You will pass by exotic species of vegetation, bridge, creek, playground, etc! They also have an observation tower where it is located in high elevation, and you can see beautiful sunset and view from there!! There is an abundance of trail, where you'll discover beautiful nature. All the trails will meet at one end, finally! It is a great destination for cycling, chilling out, and even photography!! They have a kids friendly playground, and they have safe and clean washrooms. You can also reserve/book a picnic spot to have a union or gatherings. This place is pet friendly as well. After finishing the long walk, sighting a best view, you can also treat yourself to some refreshing ice cream 🍨 usually parked near the main parking area or near restrooms, mostly in the afternoons. (P.s. I have spammed the photos for you guys, enjoyyyy 😁😁)

Toyota Stadium is a sprawling 145-acre complex that serves as the home stadium for the professional soccer team, FC Dallas. The stadium boasts an impressive atmosphere for watching soccer matches, with DJs playing music before games and a laid-back vibe among fans. The parking is easily accessible and going through security is hassle-free. Clean bathrooms are available throughout the complex. On Military Appreciation Night, there were fireworks after the game that were well-received by attendees.
Went to the FC Dallas and Philadelphia Union Match. It was a great experience, I sat next to the fan zone and loved the energy. Can't wait for all of the updates to be completed. I wish there was better access to the Soccer Hall of Fame during the match.
Jonathan — Google review
Toyota Stadium is a fantastic venue for watching a football game. As a soccer stadium, it offers a more intimate atmosphere compared to larger venues, making you feel closer to the action on the field. I’ve only attended one game here, so I can’t speak for every section, but from what I observed, it seemed like there’s not a bad seat in the house. We were seated in Section 131, Row 13, Seats 6 and 7, with a great view of the field. We entered and exited via Lamar Hunt Way, moving efficiently through security in just a couple of minutes, which was impressive given the sold-out crowd of 20,000. The biggest challenge was getting an Uber after the game. Traffic was heavily congested in all directions, and there wasn’t a designated ride share area that we could find. We didn't even see signs mentioning ride share. We had to walk a couple of blocks to find an open street where we could meet our driver.
Brian S — Google review
I always enjoy getting to go see the FC Dallas games here. The seats are great, the food is usually pretty good and the staff are typically very friendly (especially when the metal detector goes off when you walk through it 🤣). It's always funny watching/hearing the entire stadium Booing at a player from the opposing team the entire game because said player was being unsportsman-like and causing trouble. Then you have the elementary school-aged boys who like to chant the entire game and jump up and down, hoping to get noticed by the players. Overall, it's a great experience and I will absolutely come back to watch another game. Also, their after game drone shows are top tier!
Rachel W — Google review
Low grade because its under construction and a lot of the food options repeat, not a lot stood out. They did have a souvenir cup but stopped selling standard drinks like water in the 75th minute which was not cool at 90 degrees and 30 mins of game time left. Easy in and out and lots of parking were a plus. On this particular night they had a drone show which helped with the shortfalls.
Jonathan W — Google review

The stadium is easy to get in and out of. It’s a fun time with the family! Plus they often have drone shows. They did a fireworks show for the 4th that was amazing! Everyone is passionate for the team so come out and support!
Alex Z — Google review
Great stadium. It's not a big stadium, so all seats have a great view of the field, no seat is too far. I prefer to have a more angled view of the game, so the higher seats are actually better for me, since the stadium is small. However, if you prefer to be very close to the players, the lower seats are the best option, as they are very close to the field. Food is not too expensive and from time to time they have $1 hot dogs and $3 beers. Great experience overall.

The night of the Jung/Young Bobblehead give-away was eventful, with some frustration over people receiving multiple bobbleheads. Despite this, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially in getting stamps for the MiLB Passport Stamp books. Unfortunately, a power outage caused a two-hour delay and led to a lack of energy in the stadium as many fans left before the game even started.
Fantastic experience—cheap, fun, and a great opportunity to watch quality baseball with a small crowd. The Rough Riders are the Texas Rangers’ double-A affiliate, so the quality of play is high, but the ticket prices are not (tickets for the grass in the outfield are only $14 a person). A great time for the whole family, and much easier to access than the Rangers stadium in Arlington. Also the stadium is beautiful and feels new, and the entire place has the vibe of a well-manicured theme park—as if Disneyland had its own baseball team. Only 30-minutes from downtown Dallas, this is a great option for those looking for unique things to do and see in the city.

We had a blast for the Frisco Rough Riders game. If you can give when the lazy river is available, it is a must. Kids and I had a great time watching the game from the lazy river. Plus, the lazy river is the only way to cool off in this heat. Good food and drinks as well.

I love riders field. It's such a great cozy place to watch a baseball game. I've never had a bad time here. The food is usually very good except for the time I was asked if I wanted beans on my nachos and they poured a laddelfull of baked beans on them. I've never been one to throw away a plate of nachos, and I tried to power through the sweet sauce but it really made them inedible. Luckily I've learned my lesson and just get the regular stuff now.

This was my first time visiting, and I can honestly say the place is beautiful, spotless, and full of good vibes. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the overall experience was so much fun. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We have been visiting the ballpark for years and it's truly the most family friendly place to watch baseball. Not a bad seat anywhere. The playground and lawn are super fun for kids of all ages. I love the cashless payments everywhere. Plenty of food and drink options, very pricey as expected. We always have a great time.

Reunion Tower is a renowned observation deck that offers stunning 360-degree city views, light shows, and a gift shop. It's a popular choice for couples seeking unique experiences in Dallas. Additionally, there's an exclusive 'Love is in the air package' that includes VIP elevator service, complimentary sparkling wine, and commemorative Reunion Tower flute glasses.
The view of Dallas from the top is absolutely stunning! My wife and I had a day out and decided to visit Reunion Tower. We arrived around 6:30 PM, just in time to enjoy a lively Mexican dance performance at the top, such a fun surprise! We stayed to watch the sunset, which made the whole experience even more magical. I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance, you will saves money and makes entry quick. Upon arrival, you can even have your picture taken for free, which is a nice touch. The elevator ride to the top is smooth and takes you straight up in no time. Parking, we parked close by from the tower paid $10 for 4 hours.

Reunion Tower was a pretty cool experience. Offers 360 degree views and a great view of the city. While not the highest observation deck we’ve been to it was still a fun experience. One unique thing about this observation deck is that it gives you history on the assassination of JFK along with a perfect view of the building where the shooter was. Overall not the most exciting observation deck if you’ve been to other cities like New York or Chicago and not something I’d come specifically for but if you happen to be in town and have some free time it’s worth checking out.

Reunion Tower is such a unique Dallas experience! Parking is pretty easy with garages and lots nearby, and if you want extra convenience, you can valet through the hotel it’s attached to. Once you head up to the 50th floor, the views are incredible. The observation deck gives you a full 360° walk-around view of the city, and it’s designed so you can enjoy both the indoor space and the outdoor terrace. There are tons of opportunities to take photos. whether you want skyline shots, sunset views, or just fun pictures with family and friends. The space is well-kept, staff are helpful, and the whole vibe feels memorable. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit for the panoramic views and photo opportunities!

This is a must visit landmark in Dallas offers an 360 degree view from its lollipop style observation deck. The city skyline is a sight to behold, especially breathtaking during sunset or at night when the lights illuminate the city. The interactive displays provide an engaging and educational experience, while the friendly staff enhances the overall visit. A special mention goes to Willie, the elevator operator, whose humor, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm make the experience truly memorable. I sincerely hope his boss recognizes his contributions and considers giving him a raise which he truly deserves it. Whether you’re a local showcasing the city to friends or a visitor exploring Dallas for the first time, Reunion Tower offers an unforgettable experience with its stunning views and positive atmosphere.
Chunyao C — Google review
Parking is horrendous. No good parking directions. The construction going on around the tower and the hotel is confusing making it hard to get into. Once inside the hotel you are in the convention hall and very little clear signage directing you to the tower entrance. $19 dollars per person to go up an elevator and walk around for just a few minutes is not very economical. The only reason I agreed is because it was what my son wanted to do for his Birthday. The views were ok, but not really what I was hoping for. The one redeeming factor (the only reason I am willing give 3 stars instead of 1) is the staff in the tower was very warm, friendly and inviting. Was able to strike up a good conversation with a couple of them and they were amazing. The staff at the Hyatt was also great and directed me a much easier way back to our parking spot using a tunnel. It was a nice walk back.
Jeremy G — Google review
The view from this high altitude mesmerizes us as we enter the top of the tower. We spend quality time there. Specifically at the sunset time :) One thing recommended: They will ask you to take photos while entering the elevator. Take as many as possible because they will email you all, but you must purchase at least one. That will cost 25-30.
Dewan R — Google review
It was fun to see such a great 360 view of Dallas from so high up. Loved that the telescopes were free, well included in price, as was a souvenir photo. We did not go to the restaurant.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

History museum
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is a poignant tribute to the life and legacy of President John F. Kennedy, situated in the very location where his tragic assassination unfolded on November 22, 1963. Nestled within the Dallas County Administration Building, this museum offers an immersive experience that delves into JFK's presidency and the events surrounding his untimely death.
We didn’t get to go inside because of prior commitment but we were met by a gentleman by the name of Arthur who gave us an impromptu tour the site of the Kennedy assassination and some historical facts. He was everything you would expect out of a tour guide. If you walk along the grassy knoll I’m sure you can find him there eager to share a part of history with you.
Joanna G — Google review
This was very interesting museum, it covered JFK before he was president, up until the assassination. It was eerie seeing the view to the street from the 6th floor. 7th floor with the children's view was well done as well. Very reflective.
Elizabeth S — Google review
Visiting the Sixth Floor Museum is an emotionally charged and captivating experience. Situated in the former Texas School Book Depository, it provides an in-depth exploration of President John F. Kennedy’s life, legacy, and the tragic assassination that forever altered history. The thoughtfully curated exhibits, featuring a blend of photographs, films, and artifacts, bring history to life, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the events that unfolded. Standing near the corner window where the fateful events transpired evokes a sense of chills and surrealism. It’s impossible not to feel the weight of the view that changed the course of history. The informative audio guide enhances the experience by providing context and shedding light on the significance of that day and its profound impact on the world. The museum’s well-organized layout, respectful approach, and deep educational value make it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and curious individuals alike. Whether you’re a seasoned history buff or simply intrigued by one of America’s most defining moments, a visit to the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas is an unforgettable experience.

Just a facinating place to visit. I felt like the place was frozen in time of November, 1963. Loved all the displays and must say that we spent the better part of 3 hours taking it all in. The corner of the 6th floor, where Oswald fired his shots, is on display behind glass so that it can be preserved. It's best to buy tickets and make a reservation in advance.
Robert K — Google review
We visited The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza during a long layover, arriving about an hour before closing. The museum is small but packed with a lot of information about JFK’s life and assassination. There’s a lot of reading involved, though they do include some video portions, which help break things up. It was very busy the day we went, so it was hard to see all the exhibit pieces clearly. The areas on the street marking the shots are also a bit hard to spot. There’s also some loitering outside near the memorial, which felt a little off-putting. Overall, it’s a good museum with important historical content, but I expected a bit more from the experience.
Taylor M — Google review
I was really excited to visit this museum due to my fascination with the Kennedy era. The museum has a lot of information about JFK’s campaign and time in office. There is a section of boxes in the spot where the fatal shot was fired from, with a replica of the gun sitting on the other side. My favorite section of the museum was the one dedicated to shutting down conspiracy theorists. Of course, when I left the museum I asked my fellow patrons if they thought Oswald acted alone. None of them said they did. It seems like people are still hungry for the truth many years later! There is an exhibit of children’s drawings on the top floor and the gift shop has some nice souvenirs if you are into JFK nostalgia. Overall though, I found this museum to be a bit overpriced for what it is, hence the four star rating. If you wanna simply see the spot where Kennedy got shot, just drive down the route for free.
Joe G — Google review
This is a very interesting museum to visit for sure. It offers a lot of details about the JFK assassination, and even information from before he became president and his family. Staff was nice and knowledgeable.
Leidi C — Google review
Interesting museum. I would say if you are interested at all in the assassination / politics its very worth going. I love their gift shop too. The nostalgic items were great. The image is from the 7th floor, the same angle the shot was allegedly fired from, just one floor above. (No politics, just a statement. :))

Dealey Plaza is a significant city park and National Historic Landmark in Dallas, Texas. It gained notoriety as the site of President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. The 'grassy knoll' outside the area is where the museum is located, marking the exact spot on the roadway where JFK was shot. The former Texas School Book Depository at Dealey Plaza now houses the Sixth Floor Museum, dedicated to preserving the memory of this tragic event.
very cool to see in real life, the area felt safe enough to walk around for bit and really understand what happened there. it wasn’t super crowded. we visited the plaza after the sixth floor museum and had a great experience.

This plaza is the location of the JFK assassination in 1963 and a landmark location with quite a few things related to the assassination. Here you will find the grassy knoll, triple underpass, Sixth Floor Museum (Texas School Book Repository) and not far from the JFK Memorial Plaza. This is also the location of a monument to George B. Dealey while the Old Red Museum is just across the street as well.

Visited Dealey Plaza in Dallas today — the spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Standing here gives you chills. It’s one of those places where you can feel how much history changed in a single moment. JFK was more than just a president; he believed in progress, equality, and pushing the nation forward. From the space race to his call for public service, his vision still matters today. I wanted my daughter to see this and understand why moments like this are important — to know that history isn’t just what we read about, it’s what shaped the world we live in.

I had a great time there at the Museum of Nature and there are 5 floors worth of knowledge. There's a floor that focuses on space, another one of geology and another one biodiversity. This is a great place to visit solo or with a group. It is also family friendly. Parking is across the street ans them one would walk to it from there. If you enjoy learning and science, Perot Museum of Nature is the place to visit!

Had a great time with my teen boys. They enjoyed the exhibits and interactions. Definitely recommend! Plan for at least 2 hours. We got our tickets online and chose the time to arrive. There's a splash zone in front of the building; young kids were really enjoying it.

Me and my boyfriend love to come here for a fun date and it was pretty fun. We went on a Thursday so we thought it would be less busy but there were a lot of field trips so it was quite busy. A lot of the interactions didn't work or were broken down for the moment. I understand that there were a lot of visitors and kids that day but at the same time should have been a bit more prepared. It's still a fun activity at the end of the day and the service is always wonderful.

This museum was fun. I really liked the Bug exhibit. It is worth the extra $10. We also watched the 3-D movie. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that entry to the museum is free for military and veterans. There are fun interactive activities that you can do. Good for both adults and children.

Great museum for the family both for those local or visiting! The process of reserving tickets online is a breeze. Everyone in my family has their favorite exhibit and although it has been a little crowded each time we've gone, it's generally possible to view or do the things we want to. Staff is always pleasant, informative and helpful during our time there. Parking is straightforward and we appreciate the discounted rate as museum members. This past visit, we took the opportunity to view the newly remodeled children's area downstairs. It was nice and pretty and all...but I would be lying if I didn't say that I was just ever-so-slightly disappointed: The use of space for is great (particularly the outdoor area) but where has all the pretend play gone? There is not a trace of it left. Also gone is any local flair that was once there. This could be a children's museum area literally anywhere in the world. The area overall seems like they wanted a "sensory" sort of vibe but even in that way, it comes up short. That all being said, the outdoor portion (with it's pretty generous shade, climbing wall, really cool water table/feature) and the LEGO table (with the camera/AI photo generator) were big hits with my kids.
B D — Google review
This is a really awesome Museum for any age! We were going mainly for my 3 nephews ages 3-5 and honestly the only thing they really enjoyed were the lower level kids Museum where they could play-they weren't much interested in anything else! There is lots of exhibits and lots to read which kids that age could care less about! But honestly if you're wanting to just entertain your kids you can go to a park for free! Now as teens and adults I thought it was really cool but we had to hurry through the entire thing bc the kids (3-6yrs) old would get bored very easily but what I saw and read was very interesting and informational! The pics below are of the entire kids part! Just so you know! Even with young kids expect to spend 1.5-3 hours here easily
Farmers M — Google review
It's one of the most enjoyable places I've been to with my 14 month baby. We spend a quality bonding time in the children's area until he was done playing, then we visited the other sections in the museum. The science and natural exhibits are amazing, educational, and very enjoyable.

Fantastic! I can’t believe I’ve never visited this museum. I went to Thursdays on tap, adult night! So many interactive moments, and it really brought out my inner child. Also food trucks outside were the icing on the cake. Mambo Taxi from Mi Cocina and Lobster rolls and tacos from Maines Lobster? I believe that was the name. Do yourself a favor and go visit!

The Dallas World Aquarium, located in the Historic West End District, is a captivating aquatic wonderland housed in a refurbished warehouse. It features diverse marine life from around the globe, including stingrays, piranhas, electric eels, poison dart frogs, and Orinoco crocodiles. Visitors can stroll through a 20,000-gallon exhibit with a glass tunnel where sharks swim overhead.
Unique and full of surprises. It is not the biggest aquarium you will ever see. But what you will see is amazing. They pack more awesomeness into every square foot. It feels immersive but safe. You have the different climates and geographic homes for the critters that are so well thought up and they flow from habitat to habitat well. The penguins are worth the price of admission alone. I felt like I saw it all, but if I go back I will see something new in every enclosure.
Nicholas L — Google review
The aquarium is wonderful. Interesting varieties of amazing fish, corals, birds. The shark tank is a fun place for kids and adults seeing shark swim over your head and all around you is mesmerizing and there’s a huge sword fish too. The only thing is the aquarium needs some tender loving care the bathrooms are old and not clean. The whole place needs a face lift, it’s a little dirty and stinky around the edges. The walkway outside between the front entrance and exit is pretty but when you walk through it there’s an overwhelming smell of urine. The whole outside can use a good power wash. I went several years ago when it looked newer and smelled better. The management needs to do a better job with the place. But it’s still worth visiting there are also gorgeous tropical plants.
Lidia M — Google review
Really good for all ages, I went with my husband and my adult son, we wanted to do something laid back relaxing, The aquarium was great! We did a lot of running around and outdoor activities, we went on a Sunday afternoon so the town was pretty quiet and so was the aquarium. They had monkeys, different types of birds and sea creatures. Not a huge aquarium but worth going Takes about 1.5hr to 2hrs to do the whole aquarium. And plenty of parking across from the aquarium.
Jo “ — Google review
This aquarium has some gorgeous fish, an amazing octopus, and very unique birds, but this feels more like they are on display rather than an educational and sustainable environment where the animals live. Education is an afterthought entirely. It was also incredibly inaccessible for wheelchair users and anyone with disabilities. Walkways are steep over the alligator pit, so if you’re in a wheelchair you face the very real danger of rolling through the wooden rails down into the pit. None of the animals/fish/birds were labeled, and we did see a few dying/ill fish in the tanks. Some tanks/wall were leaking, and it is an old building, but that seemed weird to me that you might touch a wall that’s wet from a leaking tank. The ocelot was a really cool animal to see, but it had a very small enclosure for being a big cat. They also had a few open tanks that visitors were reaching their hands into, such as the puffer fish tank and rays tank, which seemed neglectful of the fish. The staff were friendly though and seemed to be doing their best, but I really question the management of this aquarium and the possible exploitation of the creatures.
Dil J — Google review
First of all, as others have said this is less of a fish aquarium and more of an assortment of land + sea. I think this works out in its favor though - traditional aquariums can be a bit repetitive after a while, but the combination of aquarium plus rainforest mini zoo keeps things fun and engaging, particular for kids. My 3 year old wasn't interested in the fish at all, but he could have watched the flamingos all day. My older son loved all the bats. And I loved the manatee! I think the variety makes it easier for families with different interests to enjoy. We went as soon as they opened on a Monday and we were practically the only people there - it was great! I think we saw 2 other people the entire time we were there, and we spent several hours there. The map is borderline useless, but it turns out that's intentional - I was told by one of the employees that it's designed that way so that you don't skip by a bunch of animals looking for a specific one from the map. Honestly that makes sense! The layout was easy and enjoyable, an easy walk up and down the different levels, we visited each level twice because there was so much to see, we thought we saw it all and then spoke with an employee who said "oh, did you see the octopus?" No, actually, we hadn't! One of the employees there, Brian, was so great! He spent the time to talk with my kids about the animals they saw and gave them different facts about them. You could tell he had a genuine care and enthusiasm for all of the animals. Highly recommend going with the realistic expectation that you'll see many more birds than you do fish, and at least from our experience first thing in the morning was a great time to go.
T M — Google review
Holy packed. I get we went on a Sunday midday but they can definitely slow down how quickly they're letting people in. You have 0 leg room, there are countless people stopping to take selfies with birds, and very minimum workers on the floor as you go through. Half the information cards we couldn't look at because of the swarm of people. The price we paid was way more than the experience we got as at least at other aquariums you can look at stuff without smelling the nasle cavity of a stranger. It hit the point we were like we just want to leave but we paid $40 per person (after tax.) Outside of that we had fun but other museums, and events we went to we were at least breath during as they had staggered entry.
Johnny S — Google review
I love aquariums and this one didn’t disappoint. While it didn’t have as many large ocean style tanks as many of the other aquariums I’ve been to, it was still a great experience. Like a little oasis or getaway that makes you feel like you’re outside of the city without having to leave. There are lots of restrooms spread throughout so you’re never too far from one. There are also lots of restaurants and even resting areas for people with children or babies that may need a place to take a break. You can prepay for parking and you’ll be able to stay in the lot until 5pm. There is not time limit to the time you can spend in the aquarium as well. Overall great experience, would go again.

This is the best aquarium that I have been to. There were so many interesting birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles to see. The aquarium was easy to get through to see all the exhibits. We took our 11, 4, and 2 year old grandchildren, and they loved it as well. I highly recommend anyone visiting Dallas to make plans to see it.

It was an amazing experience at this park. It offers a variety of fun activities, especially for family and kids. A big water fountain and sprinklers for kids to play is a prime attraction. It has a lot of play spots, ground to relax, food trucks etc. A very good spot for picnic, time to spend with family or to stay relaxed. I drive nearly 20 miles to go the park, and play with my kid. Just don’t drive scooters on that block they’re not allowed in the park, so if you use them you have to park across the street.

Incredible experience here at the George W. Bush Presidential Center! We visited on Memorial Day. There's a parking lot right across the street - parking was easy & cost $10.00 (if I'm not mistaking). Right on the campus of SMU, the center is beautifully surrounded. The center has a bunch of discounts for entry, I did not fit any of those criteria so my admission was $26. Everything was very informative & we enjoyed all of the interactive elements. I loved the decision-making simulator, it really puts things into perspective. I also loved getting to see all of the gifts that President George W. Bush received while in office. Seeing the oval-office remake was also a wonderful experience. There is an option to get your picture taken. I enjoyed seeing all of the 9/11 exhibits, always brings a tear to my eye - they did an incredible job with the exhibitions. Awesome experience! It’s the first presidential center I have been too but my son and I really enjoyed it. It’s not huge but the exhibition is well done and laid out well. During our visit, they had some of the exhibits closed but it was still great. They have an EXACT replica of the Oval Office as it looked when GWB was president. It’s located on the SMU campus and highly recommended.

This was a great experience. The tour was self guided, but there were several volunteers who were happy to provide additional information. The 9-11 section was amazing, overwhelming, and very emotional. Also, a full replica of the Oval Office is on site, and you can get your picture taken. While here, don't miss out on Cafe 43! The food was fantastic!!

Good museum! Other presidential libraries are better and more detailed, but it covers the time period well. It would have been nice to have more information regarding the WMD decision and nuance in Iraq. It touches on the financial crisis but felt rushed. Worth visiting!

Great museum that offers a fascinating look into the Bush presidency. The George W. Bush Presidential Center does an excellent job showcasing the major policies of the Bush administration, with a strong focus on the war on terror. One of the highlights for me was the replica Oval Office—it was very cool to see in person. But even more impressive was the actual situation room from the White House (circa 2006), which added a real sense of history and authenticity. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions and provide more context. There are also plenty of interactive exhibits that make the experience engaging and informative for all ages. The location on SMU’s campus is beautiful and adds to the overall atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in the Dallas area!

This is one of 13 presidential museums around the country. Kenneth greeted us on our way in to the check-in desk. Gifts from other countries, given to president Bush and his wife, are in the main area. The Situation Room, presented by Lee, was super cool. Linda, in the Oval Office, explained the replica artifacts well.

Visiting this location reminded me of how lucky we are to live in the U.S.A. Each area was informative, some interactive and the ladies and gentlemen offering stories and histories about the president was so worth the visit! The 9/11 section was emotional. The lighthearted message from Jenna and Barbara Bush was fun!

I was driving through Texas and decided to visit this place to see the Bush administration through adult eyes after growing up with him as POTUS. It’s mostly a standard museum exhibit wise but there are a few things that really make it stand out. First, it has an in depth explanation of some of his more controversial policies such as No Child Left Behind and the Iraq War, as well as highlighting some of his major successes like PEPFAR and protecting over 3M acres of wetlands. Obviously there was a bit of a slant in terms of how things were presented but it was still informative in nature. Second, it has a replica of the Oval Office, you do have to pay for a photo op but I think it’s worth it. There is also a Rose Garden replica outside which is where George and Laura will be buried someday. Third, there is a piece of metal from the Twin Towers on display which you can actually touch. That whole section was emotionally moving, you got to hear him say his famous “and those people who knocked the towers down will hear from all of us very soon” quote while you are looking at the images of what happened that day. And fourth, I think the best part of the museum is the Decision Points theater, which is an interactive game you can play where you choose what to do during several key moments of the Bush administration. You get policy advice from “experts” and see breaking news before making a final decision, and then you get to see Bush explain why he did what he actually did. Since I was the only one in the theater, I got to pick all three scenarios I did, and my decision was the “final one” (normally if more people play it’s whatever the group collectively decides). The gift shop at the end has a couple of his books and a lot of baseball related souvenirs, as well as Bush/ Cheney campaign merchandise. If you have small kids they may like the reversible donkey/ elephant plush toy. You do have to pay for parking, it’s ten bucks but it’s right across the street. Likely the cheapest parking you will find close by, from what I have observed with Dallas. In closing I would like to say that even though I disagreed with many of his policies (having grown up in a Democratic family), I think George W. Bush was a true leader who cared for the people of this nation and always did what he felt was the right thing. Sometimes those policies worked and other times they didn’t but you will see how much he cared by visiting this museum and listening to him give speeches at some of the exhibits… lastly, make sure you check out the somewhat hidden video right after the Rose Garden, there is a short clip of him singing in a cowboy hat which is really funny whether you like him or don’t. A great museum for anyone (regardless of party) to visit.

Nature & Parks
Nestled along the picturesque shores of White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a stunning 66-acre retreat that offers visitors a vibrant escape from the urban hustle. This botanical paradise features an array of colorful gardens, expansive lawns, and lush groves filled with pecan trees, magnolias, cherry blossoms, and azaleas. It's truly a feast for the senses!
The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. Spread across 66 acres along White Rock Lake, it’s full of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, shaded walkways, and relaxing water features. Every corner feels like a photo moment, from buzzing bees and colorful blooms to quiet, tree-lined paths and sculptures tucked among the plants. It’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone who just wants a calm day outdoors. The Jonsson Color Garden and Red Maple Rill are stunning highlights, and even with some areas under construction, the gardens still look incredible. Definitely wear comfy shoes, bring water, and go early for parking. The gift shop is adorable, full of garden-themed décor and souvenirs. The Arboretum also hosts amazing seasonal events like Dallas Blooms in spring and the Pumpkin Village in fall, such we attended today. It’s worth every penny of the ticket price, a must visit spot in Dallas for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who needs a peaceful escape. 🌸

I love it here! I came for the autumn festival. It’s a beautiful walk in nature. Would definitely come back for their Christmas event! I would recommend walking shoes, and plan to stay for a few hours. There’s a few cafes you can dine at as well. We saw a lot of people with picnic blankets and their own food or crafts, which would also be a great idea when visiting.

The Dallas Arboretum was absolutely beautiful and very well taken care of! There’s plenty of space for large groups to walk the trails comfortably. During my visit, there were two weddings happening, and both setups were stunning. The picnic area was peaceful and relaxing the view of the water made it even better. I also loved that they include areas for kids to play and learn, making it a great spot for families too. An employee mentioned that next week the Arboretum will be Christmas themed, which sounds amazing! Every staff member we came across was friendly, checked in with us, and made sure we were having a good time. I absolutely loved my experience here and definitely recommend visiting!

Took the family a few times now. Fall is beautiful with cooler temps and changing leaves. Their “12 days of Christmas” event held during the holidays is a must see. At night with all the decorations is a neat experience. Day visits we’ve seen bald eagles, falcons and all sorts of wildlife out there including coyotes early in the morning streaking through the empty open grass area!

The botanical garden is a wonderful place to experience silence, stillness, and peace. The staff is attentive and makes sure you enjoy your visit, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. However, drinks and food are a bit expensive, so it is a good idea to bring your own water. Overall, this place is excellent for spending quality time with family, disconnecting from stress, and appreciating nature in a calm environment.

While visiting family we visited this beautiful arboretum. It was decorated for October with thousands of pumpkins and gourds throughout the grounds. Lots of walking through beautiful grounds, they have guides that offer nature talks. A gift shop, restrooms and benches to rest and admire the scenery. Lots of parking available in the covered parking lot across the street. They have a children’s area to explore as well.

The Christmas experience is incredible. The grounds are well maintained and the lights on the trees at night are breath-taking. The DeGolyer House is decorated with the greatest of care and detail ... absolutely stunning. The Christmas village is lots of fun and the attendants make it very kid-friendly.

Great music venue for new artists. Clean beautiful and safe downtown. Has a nice community park. Their October community dinner for 200 is always a cool party to be a part of. Lots of food options and a farmer’s market is great. Don’t forget to stop by Green Vine Market - really good grocery store. 🌿🫑🥑🥭

We walked around downtown. Loved the feel. Walked around the exterior of the interurban museum , we did not go in due to timing. Outside displays were interesting, I learned a lot. Downtown has a great vibe. Again, everyone is so friendly. My grandson has a Sumner job in Plano, he says everyone is so nice and proud to be from Plano and Texas. I think that comment goes a long way. Have fun.

Pretty downtown with good eateries. We enjoyed the rooftop of urban pizza and matcha at fourteen eighteen. It doesn’t have as many shops as I would’ve liked though. All in all a cute spot to walk around.

Cute little historic downtown. The boutiques and eateries were stuffed with great retail items and wonderful menu options. Spend a few hours enjoying history with the owners of Main street shops and restaurants. Purchased a handbag, earrings, summer shawl and a wonderful recipe book for newlyweds at Lyla’s and enjoyed coffee and pastries from the local bakery.

One of my favorites areas that I’ve found in the Dallas area since moving here two years ago. Good restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other shops, with more than one public parking lot so plenty of space to park within a max of a block or two to walk if street parking for a particular place full. My favorites are: 32 Degrees (rooftop bar above urban crust pizza), 1418 Coffeehouse & Better than Sex (dessert shop). There’s also a plaza area and frequent events there. The whole area is cute and feels well kept and safe to walk around. My favorite time to go is during holiday season when everything is decorated and lit up😊

This is an awesome place for dates or to hang out with friends. Easily accessible by train and lots of locally owned businesses to support. Or if you are looking for a free date, the park is beautiful. There are also events and community theater performances on occasion, so check the downtown plano website for the calendar.

Beautiful place to walk around with fun events year round, with plenty of easily accessible parking. The square is also wheelchair accessible. We visited this weekend to see the Dickens Christmas event! Carolers, Christmas-themed ballet and hip hop performances, and theater performances. Everyone was friendly and the shop owners in the district are always happy to chat and give recommendations. Definitely stop by for a few hours if you’re in town!

I had a blast at downtown Plano! They were having a Halloween festival, and my family love the time we had there. Definitely will be going back to try several restaurants down there.
