Great way to see the Guardians, up close. We had seats behind home plate, though the last row so we could sit in the shade on an 82 degree day in February. Parking is convenient, easy access. Great view.

The best MLB spring training ballpark! It’s very family friendly. The tickets are reasonably priced, parking is easy, and the staff are wonderful!

Nice ballpark, clean restrooms, free parking and easy to get to. But please improve your food offerings! Compared to all of the other spring training parks, this is the worst. Limited selections, the lines are super long and you ran out of Skyline chili dogs at yesterday's game well before the game ended. This is our only chance to get Skyline chili dogs for those of us that don't live in Indiana or Ohio.

Great place for events, ballgames and pretty much anything else. Very nice facility.

Every single worker I came across was so pleasant. They have sunscreen available for free in the restrooms which is a nice touch. The only negative is there isn’t a ton of shade and those seats in the sun get HOT. Go Guards!

Ticket prices were affordable. Parking was easy and FREE! Food choices are limited and the lines were long. The ballpark was at best at 50% capacity. Family friendly environment.

The stadium is beautiful. The restrooms are clean, the workers are great. The parking lot experience is a different story. We've been sorting here for over an hour, in one place. There is no one directing traffic out of the 3rd base lot. This is the handicapped lot, you would think they would be a bit more on the ball.

Lovely zoo with aquarium, restaurants and animal encounters. It also has a few rides and tours. We went today, 9/8/2025, and it absolutely as dead as could be. The heat was oppressive (but we knew it would be) and most of the attractions were for the summer. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and we really enjoyed our visit. We will be back in the Fall and in the Winter. We watched the Sea Lion show and we're lucky enough to see every big cat in action. The tram ride was wonderful and provided a great little break from walking. Our guide was great! The knowledgeable staff was friendly and available. The only thing that keeps this review from being a 5 is the lack of seating throughout the park and the aquarium. But, truly an absolutely awesome experience!

We had a nice morning here at the zoo. It's larger than we thought...you can walk for quite a while. We went to the sea lion show and it was a hoot. Penguin feeding was ok...not great. The aquarium part of the tour is good. There are 2 or 3 buildings with aquariums I believe. The hands on stingray tank is cool. They actually love to be touched. We learned they call this type of stingray "Puppies of the Sea" lol. There are some food places on site. We had some brisket at the BBQ place which was just ok. We purchased tickets on Groupon...I think we saved $6 per ticket.

We have been wanting to visit this park since we've moved to Arizona 3 years ago. Since it's located in the West Valley that's a big plus for us because we live in the West Valley and most of the fun attractions for kids are in the East Valley I require a long drive. I had a lot of observations about this venue which I will summarize with pros and cons PROS ~Lots to explore- Over 200 acres! ~Unique venue- zoo, aquarium, amusement park rides all in one ~ No crowds- This was our 1st visit. We went on a Sunday w/ beautiful weather. One person in our group said she had never experienced crowds in any of her many visits through the years ~ Sea Lion Show was very well done and included in admission ~ Lots of shade- which ia so nive on warmer days ~ Large variety of animals ~ Free Parking ~ Several restaurants CONS ~ Admission Price is on the high side ~ No family memberships ~ Walking pathways are dirt, so wear good walking shoes ~ No outside food allowed A Family membership plan for locals would be a great incentive to visit. Memberships that include rides would also be great. I would like to acknowledge EMPLOYEE TROY. He talked to us near the Kangaroo area, and told us all about the baby kangaroos. He was very professional, knowledgeable & friendly. Food was very good at the restaurant that we ate at called SLICE. Overall this was a 3.5 to 4.0 experience for me, but I am rounding up to 4.0, because there were a lot of positive things about our visit. Ultimately for local families I think that the high price is an obstacle. We are an extended family with four grandchildren and we are always looking for Great Value memberships locally that we can bring our grandkids to and enjoy throughout the year. It would be such a benefit to so many to create a family type of membership that would allow us to return on a regular basis at an affordable price. The ability to bring food in would also be great because a lot of families do like to pack food to save money. There are a lot of areas where picnic tables could be added. ~ Thank you for a memorable day!

If you are in or near Phoenix AZ I highly recommend stopping here. Although a lot of the enclosures were empty, there was still plenty to see. A lot of the animals were interactive. I like how they have an outdoor section on the right, then an aquarium section on the left. That way you can go back and forth to cool down. I’ve also been to zoos with snack stands but this one has actual restaurants. I believe only the pizza place was open. Which was good but not great for the price and size. I do wish they put more effort into the enclosures for the animals to cool down. Some just had a puddle of water and no shade. I was on the verge of a heat stroke so I can only imagine how hot some of these animals are in the summer. Overall it was a cool experience. You can feed giraffes, go up in the air over a bunch of enclosures, food and gift shops.

We had a really great time here today. Went on a Thursday in November and the weather was great, had a minimal crowd and virtually all the animals were out to see. We started on the right side of the park, walked back to have lunch at Dillons Bbq, which was delicious, and really enjoyed the huge fish tank in the restaurant. We then ventured around the aquarium park and finished up in Adventure Land where we took the tram tour, which I highly recommend. Spent about 5 hours in total at the zoo.

What a great zoo and aquarium. It seems to be slow but it was amazing to see the animals so up close. Monkeys are on little islands, peacocks are rooming freely. They have giraffe you can feed and various animal encounters too.

Great place to see wonderful animals and make memories with family and friends. You don't want to miss the opportunity to feed the giraffes, birds, fish, and goats - what a blast for my 4 year old granddaughter! If you really like going several times a year, be sure to get the membership. The membership pays for itself after 2 visits. There are refill cup options and reasonable food prices. There is also a nice restaurant attached to the zoo.

It was somewhat of a good environment for a local spring training fan like myself, but could ask better! Not enough shade for a small stadium, seats are not really comfortable and is a tight squeeze, and the food was disappointing! Overall, I think this stadium should go under a renovation to draw more attention for fans, especially since Surprise Stadium is far out west!

Great experience and a well kept stadium! The field is very nice. There was lots of staff and cops directing traffic for parking and leaving which helps with the crowd control. The line moved quickly getting into the stadium. We sat behind home plate which was really nice. The food prices are a little outrageous for a spring training game. $11 for a corn dog? You need to bring a clear purse or bag if it’s larger than a clutch.

Large concourse nice good stands. Prices are a little high for certain things. The teams stores lack big time. Not near as big as they should be. Great views on your seats. If you want to see your favorite players I suggest spending the extra money and getting a little closer to home plate. The out grass areas are wonderful and plenty of room if you have little ones to run around.

Always a pleasant venue to watch spring training baseball. The staff is friendly and helpful and parking is free. Easy to get in and out of the stadium too. Watched the Angels-Royals game and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Came to watch the Rangers and the Cubs in Surprise for the 1st time. Great time and for any good spring training game get here an hour or more before 1st pitch to avoid traffic. It was a blast a recommend for any baseball fan to come check out a spring training game.

Went for dog night. My pup enjoyed his time there, staff was friendly we got a lot of compliments on his behavior. The concession lines were long and it’s a bummer that they don’t sell chicken and hot dogs in the same line. Wish they had more dog nights.

Be sure to ask for Autographs Been promising my son that we’d come out for Spring Training for nearly ten years. We finally made it and have been pleasantly surprised. If you arrive a little early, there’s no traffic and free parking just across the street. Security with their metal detectors and bag checks (clear-bag rule in effect) were quick and efficient, and the electronic ticket-takers were all working smoothly, so entering the stadium took only moments. There is plenty of staff, who all seemed friendly and frequently asked how they could help. Surprise Stadium is small and intimate (like a minor league park), but is in tip-top shape, with everything bright, clean and in working-order. It has an excellent design to maximize the whole ball-park experience. The seats are all close to the action so don’t worry if you can’t get a seat in the front rows. It is small enough to get in close to the players for a chance at a photo or autograph. My son and I were able to persuade several “big-name” starters to sign our caps / gloves. We were lucky enough to get tickets close to the dugout and felt right in the middle of the action. We were right up close to all the starters and quite a few AAA hopefuls. Great ball park food - brats, dogs, fries, beer (cans and draught), fries, nachos, all at (typical) ball-park prices. Food and drink vendors are located in the shaded area just behind the seats. There are plenty of vendors so I was frequently first in line, and never waited more than 2-3 people. The cashless payment system was quick and easy. The bathrooms are conveniently placed with plenty of stalls / sinks for easy in and out. The new MLB rules sped up the pace of play, so the action never lagged. The final out was only 2-1/2 hours after first pitch. A great experience overall. It is in the bright Arizona sun, so bring sunscreen and a hat. Like a minor league game with major league players. We will be back!

As a season ticket holder at Chase Field, I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite places to be. The atmosphere is always exciting, and I enjoy the games so much that I only miss maybe 15 a season—and that’s usually just because of work. The ballpark itself is a great home for the Diamondbacks, and the fan experience keeps me coming back year after year. My only real complaint is that it’s a cashless stadium. Having to constantly load prepaid cards just to grab a beer or snack is inconvenient and takes away from the otherwise smooth game-day flow. Overall, Chase Field is a fantastic spot to catch a game, but I really hope they make payments easier for loyal fans in the future.

What a great day! Went for Taiwan Heritage Day and the D-backs vs. Phillies game — the D-backs did not disappoint! The stadium is packed with restaurants, entertainment, and more. For a place that holds around 50,000 people, everything flowed smoothly with no hassle at all. We were able to do everything we wanted and still get in and out easily. Awesome experience!

I am from Los Angeles and first time coming to Chase! What an amazing stadium and atmosphere! I see the passionate fans and state of the art facility! It's a dome stadium and I could've used a little lower temperature but I loved the downtown atmosphere, the parking isn't a nightmare like other stadiums I won't name and i would have to say the nicest stadium I've been to and I've been to about a dozen! Good job Dbacks!

We had a fun night and day game at Chase Field watching the Diamondbacks play. The stadium is very comfortable with a lot of great amenities. We sat behind home plate with a great view. The stadium lets you bring your own food and drink in clear containers which is a huge help with my dietary needs. Also, they have gluten free, vegan, and other food needs covered. The stadium is easy to drive or take public transit to and there’a a lot of parking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We didn’t try the restaurants but heard that they are great.

We went to see the Diamondbacks and had a great time. It was 112 outside but nice and cool inside. The pizza was good and the ice cream even better. After the game my son got to “round the bases” on the field. We waited about 15-20 mins after the game but it was worth it. My son loved it, highly recommended.

Enjoyed this field so much!! Came here for my first ever MLB game! No complaints! I love the enclosed field & no matter where your seat is, you will have wonderful views!!

⚾️Chase field is one of the best stadiums⚾️ It’s located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, there’s plenty to explore before or after the game like restaurants and bars. Inside the stadium, there’s a wide variety of concession stands offering everything from classic ballpark snacks to creative local food. The atmosphere is fun, the food hits the spot, and the convenience of the location makes it a great outing. Great place to hang out whether you’re a die-hard fan or just out for a good time! ⚾️

An absolute gem! There is so much history and exhibits at this museum. From the paintings, to the baskets and sculptures, Bob Haozous and HOME exhibits. Incredible collection of Hopi dolls and beadwork. I loved the substance of stars and courtyard. Learning the history of Indian boarding schools was also a highlight. I highly recommend if you want to learn about the history of Native Americans.

What an amazing place — this museum honestly blew me away! 💛 It’s modern, spacious, full of light and air — every corner feels alive. The exhibits are interactive and beautifully put together, and there was even a whole section about the stars — unexpectedly inspiring and so well done. We joined a guided tour that was supposed to be 45 minutes — but it went closer to 55, and it still felt like five minutes. The guide was incredible — so passionate and easy to listen to, sharing fascinating stories about Native American history and art. That hour just flew by. They also have a Family Room — a really lovely space for kids to explore and play while learning. I was there without my children this time, but I know they’d absolutely love it. It’s one of those places that’s interesting for both adults and kids — there’s something for everyone. I came around 2 p.m., and the museum closes at 4 — big mistake, two hours weren’t nearly enough. I didn’t get to see a couple of galleries, and I barely had time to peek into the gift shop — which, by the way, is fantastic. So many handmade things — pottery, jewelry, paintings — all authentic, unique, and full of soul. I could’ve easily spent another hour just there. There’s also a cozy café and a small bookstore — perfect if you want to sit for a bit and soak in the atmosphere. Next time I’m in Phoenix, I’m definitely coming back — and I’ll make sure to spend the whole day here. Such a beautiful, thoughtful, and inspiring place. 🌿

Marvelous museum, so glad we were able to go while I was in Arizona. Many interesting artifacts, artwork, exhibits from Native American artists showcased in several galleries. There are tours you can take with docents. We went through the museum on our own. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the state of AZ.

This is a beautiful museum with lots of exhibits and history. It is nice to get an honest account of what has happened to this culture. The "away from home: American Indian boarding school stories" is a must-see. The docents that work there are very friendly and take you on the tours. The only reason I gave it a four is because the lady behind the counter was not very friendly and very gruff. Maybe she had a bad day. Do not bring small backpacks. There is also a lot of security patrolling the museum at all times.

The architecture of the museum was quite unique and even a bit whimsical—I really liked that. Each gallery had its own distinct vibe, which made exploring the space enjoyable. Everything was beautifully curated and visually striking. However, the overall concept left me feeling emotionally overwhelmed. I usually enjoy viewing art, but the tragic history of Native Americans and the way they were treated made me feel incredibly sad—so much so that it gave me a stomachache. You can truly feel the pain, sorrow, and suffering expressed through their artwork, which is deeply moving but also incredibly heavy and heartbreaking.

My first time at the Heard Museum was memorable. It's not the biggest museum, but it has a lot of galleries and rooms. What strikes me about this museum is that it's has the best Native American antiquities and my favorite was the American history of taking away Native American children from their family to be reeducated in a white American school and way of life. The part that moved me was all the children being ripped away from their parents and once they reached their destination, each child was given a mandatory hair cut, the first step of stripping them of their heritage, culture and identity. It was horrific what these children went through, and having a Native American heritage myself, it was really moving Another part of this museum worth going to is their cafe. The people there are so friendly like our server, Christopher. The atmosphere and the food was worth the money spent. I bought the hummus sandwich since I'm a vegetarian and for dessert my partner and I shared a fried bread sundae which was delicious 😋🤤. I definitely recommend this place and the museum itself

Interesting buildings from the 19th century and small telephone museum, which can be seen in about 1-1.5 hours. There are a variety of buildings like homes, church, dentist office that were either original and moved here or replicas from the late 1880s. Though we couldn't go inside, most had a sign on the exterior giving its history then an open door where you could see the interior contents. Recommend getting a map from the front as there are not maps once inside. We came the day before Thanksgiving and it wasn't busy at all, but did have the modern Christmas decor being put up for the nighttime winter wonderland. It was a bit unusual to see modern lights and frosty displays on 19th century buildings, but am sure it's beautiful in the evening. The workers were very friendly and helpful. Restrooms near the front were clean, and a few cold sodas and waters were sold for $1-2 each.

Some of the buildings looked like they were starting to show signs of neglect, which was a little disappointing. A few houses had open doors or uncovered windows so you could look inside, though they were blocked off to prevent entry. There were still some interesting sights — the miner’s house had old tracks and carts nearby, and the schoolhouse was pretty cool. There was even a wedding happening at the chapel, which added a nice touch. Overall, it was something to do for the price, but I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Wow this museum more than blew me away. There was so much to see. In the front room where you check in, there's various antiques. Then, you walk through a small museum of telephones, and the displays are jam packed. From there, you walk outside. If you go to one side, they have a small shaded picnic table and the Spanish mission with murals. On the other side - you'll see most of the old buildings (and the buildings are genuine; the signs show how some of the buildings were moved over too from other sites). You loop around and see various cabins, a miner house, school house, and more. They all have the doors open so you can look in, and there's interpretive signage so you can look more. For animal lovers, they have a rooster pen, a peacock pen, and also goats. I spent about two and a half hours walking around, there was a lot to see! Accessible parking and they do have accessible paved paths, though some exhibits require you to walk up on sloped gravel path.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a wonderful time at the Pioneer Living History Museum! It felt like stepping back in time — the buildings, the scenery, and all the little historical details were incredible. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they really care about preserving the history and making it come alive for visitors. It’s a perfect place for families, kids, or anyone who loves learning about the past in a hands-on way. We’ll definitely be coming back!

What an absolutely wonderful place! A fun gander back in history with things to learn and see! Connie Jo greeted us with such cheer and a background on the museum. Very friendly and positive atmosphere! I would definitely visit again! Beautiful area and lots to experience! Thank you!

Oh my goodness! If you love old towns, museums, reenactments, dressing in old western wear, or if you have a class that does field trips in the fall, this is the place for you! We had so much fun. The woman who checked us in was awesome and knowledgeable. The parking lot is massive and gravel. There is an RV park nearby as well as a shooting range if that is something you like to do too. They have festivals in the fall, you can have weddings on site, and it makes for a great morning out and about just a little ways from Phoenix. They have picnic tables on site, and you can bring your water bottles/ lunch bag in with you.

Was looking for something to do on a recent trip to AZ. Stopped in at this site after reading reviews and checking the museum’s website. We arrived to find the entire property was closed. This was a Wednesday when they should have been open. No indication they were closed on the website or Facebook. Poor form not to post an unexpected closure. That is one of the beauties of social media. Wished we could have toured.

The Phoenix Zoo is such a fun place to visit! Definitely bring good walking shoes — there’s plenty to see and explore. We went in December, and the weather was perfect, though we did need light jackets. We especially loved seeing the lion, and the ZooLights experience was an absolute blast. A great place for families or anyone who loves animals!

It is a good size and very accessible with adult scooters, kid and adult animal themed scooters, and stroller rentals. The zoo membership was worth it since it pays for itself in about 2 visits. The cafe is decent and if you come on less busy days or less peak hours, it is really peaceful and serene with lots of areas to sit. The animal variety is pretty good for being in the desert and it even has a Siberian Amur tiger, one of the most expensive zoo animals and endangered big cats, that not even the San Diego Zoo has.

Had a great time at the Phoenix Zoo! The animals seem well taken care of. Enclosures are fairly large and well kept. There are animal ambassadors at most of the areas that are very informative and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all our questions and some were quite funny. They have the only open walk through attraction with squirrel monkeys in the United States, which is in my opinion a must see for any visitor to the zoo. Also you can feed giraffes, ride a camel or play in the water park. Their is something for everyone. Overall my experience was enjoyable and I recommend if your are in Phoenix to add a stop at the zoo!

We recently went here for zoo lights as part of an event from work, and it was beautiful. We have never been here for this, but now that we have, we enjoyed it very much. All of the lights and the details that they did to make all of it happen was worth it. I didn't take many pictures as I was enjoying my self that I forgot.. but it is beautiful and a really great experience. The animals are sleeping so you dont really see them. The trails are closed to some areas, but they make the animals come to life with, all the lights! There was only a few things open for snacks and drinks, and they had long lines so I guess bring yoir drinks and snacks with you? Otherwise is a really great experience for everyone!

Beautiful zoo. Lots of remodeling and upgrades being done. Nice tram tour of park, only $6. Today was the Dia de los muertos event, was awesome.

We had a wonderful time at the Phoenix Zoo! The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. For being in the desert, there was plenty of shade, which made walking around very comfortable even on a warm day. There were lots of drink stations and food options throughout the zoo, so it was easy to grab a refreshment or snack without having to go far. The layout was easy to follow with maps and signs everywhere, which made exploring stress-free and enjoyable. The giraffe area was absolutely huge, and we loved the elevated platform walkway that connects exhibits that gives a unique view of the animals below. Overall, the Phoenix Zoo is a fun, family-friendly place that clearly takes pride in both guest experience and animal care.

You can't go wrong with the Phoenix Zoo. Plenty of wild animals and you'll get your steps in. They offer strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters for a fee. Kids love this place. Annual pass is affordable for the entire family.

This is one of our favorite "happy places"! Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, unique and fun events, educational support for our own plants, and so many more things are what keep us coming back. It has something for everyone. Some of our favorite things so far have been getting married here, enjoying the yearly Boo-tanical Garden with the kids, having regular date days/nights here, and attending their plant sales. The restaurant and cafe are delicious, and the gift shop always has something worth taking home. We absolutely love the Desert Botanical Garden and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice date night, family time, or even just some "me time".

I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! The Desert Botanical Garden is absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. Every trail and exhibit is thoughtfully designed, and you can really see the care that goes into keeping everything in top shape. The staff were attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable; they were happy to answer questions and share insights about the plants and desert landscape. It’s such a peaceful and inspiring place to explore, whether you’re a local or just visiting. There’s also a restaurant on site that feels like fine dining without being stuffy. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was relaxing, and they cater to a wide range of dietary needs. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in Phoenix.

The botanical garden is a must visit. The trails are no lesser than any state park/national park. The gathering tours were really informative. The staff is friendly. Gift store is so beautiful. There are water stations every now and there. Hydration is not all a problem. Loved watching butterflies and hummingbirds in the butterflies trail. Saguaros are unique.

Must experience. Absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate to arrive after the monsoonal rains. Everything was green and blooming. We arrived a little before sunset, so we're able to see the gardens during the day, at sunset with a beautiful Arizona sky, and the gardens lit at night. The Botanical garden is open till 9:00 pm. If you have a layover at Phoenix Airport, the gardens aren't very far away. I would encourage anyone younger old to take time to visit.

The park is lovely. I went later in the afternoon at the end of October and it was still very warm. You can bring your own water bottle to fill at multiple filtered water stations - water comes out cold. Bring sunglasses, water bottle, sunblock and a hat. Gift shop is very nice.

The Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix is absolutely incredible! I was blown away by the breathtaking views—towering saguaros and colorful cacti create this surreal, almost magical desert landscape. There are so many cool cactuses, from spiky barrels to funky agaves, and I loved wandering the shaded trails snapping photos. It’s super peaceful, like a total escape from the city, with hummingbirds zipping around adding to the calm. The paths are easy to navigate, and the sunset glow on the red buttes was unreal. It’s about $40 to enter, but worth every penny for the curated beauty. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves nature or just wants a chill, inspiring outing. Bring water if it’s warm, and go early for fewer crowds. I’m already excited to come back!

I was somehow expecting an overpriced patch of sand with a few saguaro cactus in it. I instead found a magnificently curated and highly developed garden featuring the huge diversity of plant life to be found in a seemingly empty desert space. There is a surprising amount of beautiful garden infrastructure and architecture in place that enhances an enchanting desert experience. This is a totally morthwhile experience and it's a mere three miles from a major airport. It could not be more convenient. This garden is a participant in a National Garden.Reciprocity program so is easily accessible in terms of admission cost. My local garden card gave me access to this beautiful place at no cost

Excellent museum! It is a huge place. You wear a headset which plays music as you approach the various exhibits. Exhibits are well labeled and so many interesting details. I loved hearing and seeing people playing the instruments on display via the headset and videos. There is a room where kids and adults can play a variety of instruments. Highly recommend!

Very amazing and educational museum. Would definitely recommend to anyone to go! 2 stories of history and cultures! Plan for it to take a good portion of your day. They have a cafeteria on site that has amazing food as well! Also an interactive instrument room where you can try out some of the different instruments you saw in the exhibits!

This museum is now firmly within my top 5 favorite museums in the world. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the museum is after deciding to visit last-minute. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and include not only visuals but optional audio for everything you are viewing. With interesting facts about instruments, artists, and music styles from around the world. I only had the chance to see about 1/4 of all they have in my quick 2 hour visit so I’d recommend planing a few hours to come here and experience it all. There is a gallery where you can play a variety of instruments which as a musician was a dream. I’ve always wanted to play a harp and got the chance to do so here! The gift shop had such a fun variety of unique items, I came away with jewelry made from piano strings that I love! And on top of it all, this museum was truly inclusive for folks who need special accessibility accommodations. I recently injured my foot putting me on crutches. The staff kindly offered my choice of a wheelchair or electric scooter at no charge to use while in the museum. I can’t wait for the day I can come back to experience more!!

It is the best museum I ever seen! I am not a fan of music, but I am deeply touched by all kinds of music and instruments from all over the world, hundreds of countries and hundreds cultures. Staff in this museum are super nice, they are ready to answer your questions and provide useful information you need. This museum is not only good for adults, but also great place for kids! If you want your kid to learn instruments, bring kids to this museum and kids will start to fall in love with music. I will definitely come back to this museum again with my kid. Overall, I strongly recommend this museum. It is the No.1 best museum among the hundreds of museums I have seen.

An incredible collection of instruments spanning the globe. Our visit was particularly auspicious as it coincided with the "Stradivarius and the Golden Age of Violins and Guitars" exhibit. The violins and bows were exquisite. Plan to spend the day wandering through the various rooms to learn about cultural context and history.

MIM is worth the drive, no matter where you're staying in Phoenix. It's not just for music lovers, but also about history and engineering. We drove up from Tempe with our ASU student - we already plan to go back! The mechanical music room was fascinating and the artists room had so much variety - do not say no to the headphones. The experience of floating in and out of the sounds of the instruments on display really was magic. We finished with watching the short introduction film they offered. After experiencing the museum, it really brought home the universality of music through out all of human history... and it seems all to be represented right there in MIM. Really well organized and displayed: unique instruments, how instruments are made, antidotes from artists, instruments and musical styles from every corner of the world. Love!

A very fun place to visit! I thought a museum about musical instruments may not be very large or interesting, yet MIM changed my mind completely. It not only shows music from different countries, but also demonstrates the deeper cultures behind the music. As the picture shows, “Music is the language of the soul.” I think everyone who love music should visit this place, and you will see a much bigger world!

Great hike for easy to moderate hike with 360⁰ views. While there is a fair amount of elevation change, the 2 mile trail is very well maintained with steps, benches, and signage. It's a 4 mile out and back or can be through-hiked. The park facility is very good. I'm not a super fast hiker but did the out and back in about 2 hours.

Great 3.2km (2 miles) one-way trail with beautiful views. Gets a bit challenging by the end but easy-moderate to hike

We had an amazing hiking experience here today. Along our way a volunteer, Gary, told us some impressive facts about the plants, trail, and tips to see the best views. He then proceeded to continue the hike as our guide. He made our whole experience better than we could have imagined. Lots of laughs and plenty of sweat was had haha

What a fantastic hike. Absolutely beautiful views. The visitor Center has a place to fill your water bottles as well as clean bathrooms. There is no fee for the parking or for the hike. Bring sunscreen and plenty of water. Like most of the desert There is almost no shade.

Beautiful views of homes I wish I could afford. Nice pleasant hike but there are some tough parts. Parking lot fills up early but spots start to open up around 9 am.

Fun hike, lots of good views of the surrounding neighborhoods and greater area. The parking is limited, but everything is super well maintained and the trail is well marked. I will say it was harder than I expected. A lot of significant inclines and declines. But a fun hike for sure.

Really nice, very clean paved walking path around the lake. It is a reclaimed water lake so a little smelly at times. There is a really cool splash pad. A very nice playground. A musical instrument play area. Multiple covered areas to sit at. Such a nice little community surrounding it. Multiple bathrooms and drinking fountains. Parking was pretty easy.

Absolutely beautiful! The fountain is breathtaking to watch, especially when it shoots high into the sky — it’s the perfect centerpiece of the town. The park itself is very clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, with plenty of walking paths, green spaces, and spots to relax by the lake. It’s a great place for families, couples, or even just to enjoy some quiet time outdoors. Whether you come for a picnic, a walk, or just to see the fountain, it never disappoints. Very nice and peaceful park with a nice walking trail and a Frisbee golf course. It's a well maintained park with nice bathrooms and plenty of benches. Come right before the top of an hour and watch the magnificent fountain for 15 minutes. I've visited twice now and I enjoy this park.

I was heading out of town but wanted to see th famous fountain. Found out it only goes off every hour on the hour for 15 mins. When I drove up it had already been going off for 8 mins. It is beautiful. Neat to see. They cut it off and water comes cascading down. I found that they normally only run 2 pumps so it shoots up about 300'. Only on special occasions do they use 3 pumps to get it 500 or so feet. Which I'm sure would be awesome. If you are in the area check it out. Parking was easy off a side street. Looked like the surrounding grounds were home to disk golf. And FYI the grass was sopping wet in certain areas so be mindful of that when waking to the waters edge.

The park was super relaxing and peaceful. It had a wide variety of birds, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I especially loved watching the Red-winged Blackbirds and the vibrant red patches on their wings. The park was clean, and thanks to the fountain, there was a refreshing breeze that felt amazing—especially in the Arizona heat.

Beautiful and excellently maintained park and lake and mile plus trail around it. Although I live 20 minutes away, I'll drive there often for a walk with wife and dog. People (and dogs) are always friendly and courteous. Get there on the hour in the evening so you can watch the fountain for 15 minutes.

Visited Fountain Hills, Arizona around noon in early October. The weather was pleasant, and the place was calm and scenic. Plenty of open spaces and activities for kids — a great spot for a relaxing family outing.

Offered a free room for Friday night. Called and booked and got a room with two queen beds which is fine. Room was clean and well appointed with coffee, tea and water. Nice linens, pillows, towels and toiletries. Room was quiet and had wonderful blackout curtains. We slept awesome. Casino has a nice variety of slot machines, table games, poker, etc. bars are scattered around the casino and had long lines for the most part. Later in the evening. Drinks are expensive. Some good some mediocre. We ate at ember steakhouse and were so impressed by the service, food and cocktails. Nice little mini vacation. Highly recommend.

I'm here for a work conference, not for the casino but just wanted to write to say how nice the rooms are. The bed has these amazing silky sheets and comfy pillows that feel amazing. Also, the outdoor pool and hot tub area feels like a nice vacation resort. Definitely a nice place for a weekend getaway. Also, the bathroom with tub is super nice.

Feels like a nice getaway. Halloween was extremely fun. We had dinner in the sports bar. We left to go change our clothes and when we came back to listen to the live music they told us we had to eat. We had just finished eating. So we had yo pay. Wasn't happy about that. We opted out and went to play the machines.

Seems like this place is losing its appeal. Used to be one of my favorite staycation alot but since they made all the changes to the casino, its not as fun. Check in is lengthy, staff is not that accommodating or courteous, and there is alot of turn over. I dont ever see the same employee twice except in the restaurant. Its a lovely property with lots of amazing artistic features and the pool area is nice.

It's been years since I've gone to WE-KO-PA Casino.They have some real unlikeable employees dealing cards here. It will be another 20 more before I ever return. They apparently all still work there. I encountered an extremely rude Black Jack dealer today that had nothing but passive aggressive insults to deal out. I heard every insult spoken under his breath clearly yet I remained polite, saying nothing to him. I was seething, but I stayed silent. This is not the place to come to relax, laugh and have fun. The employee dealing cards seemed to really hate me and yet I never saw this guy before until today. I contemplated calling over his Pit Boss to let him know about what this Human Speed Bump working for him was saying. I doubt the Pit Boss could hear his insults under his breath. Even the lady next to us commented to me. Too bad I didn't record the whole conversation. I was there only for my Father's Birthday and I wanted him to have fun so I said nothing until now. I will inform everyone I know at work, in my neighborhood, online and at church who and where to avoid. This guy & this place.

Didn't stay at the resort, just played golf. What a beautiful course. Definitely one of the nicest courses I've ever played in my life! We loved it!

Definitely one of my favorite parks. If you're going to be in the area, it's absolutely worth a stop. If you're looking for a spot to camp for free, basically all of the roads outside the park allow dispersed camping.

Beautiful crater with an interesting history as to its formation and magnitude. Trails at the base offer unique views.

Small, but wonderful park. It doesn't seem as over run with people as some ofvthe others. Very peaceful. It's a shame that so much of the park was burned in a fire in '22. Some of the trails are closed. Still some very interesting walks to take, getting up close the the lava. Beautiful views. Nice visitors center.

We were there on Dec. 4.2023. We had Ben hear back on April 2018. We found this place simply awesome . Seeing the lava flows. Around and the nice walk ways around the Crater part is really nice also have nice trials to walk on to . There where area when come in to park you can pull off and get a good Picture of the Sunset Crater . And the Mountains behind you when there they had snow on them . It was really pretty to see.

We love coming here, it's peaceful, has great trails and I love the "crunch- crunch" sounds when walking on the rocks of the lava flow. Beautiful!!

Very cool! Glad I stopped to see it. The have it set up nicely. Even though you can on go out so far (to prevent humans from damaging it) you still can see how everything was setup and the way of life. The visitors center has a lot of information and items to buy (I got a mug).

Awesome sunrise and sunset shoots at wukoki Pueblo. Great sunrise at the Wuptaki pueblo, barely any ppl here, lovely dark sky park for astrophotography, bathrooms at most Pueblos, easy walking distance to view each Pueblo.

We drive to the park, but the park was closed. Looking some structure, sink hole and beautiful view.

Very cool ruins. The house structure was neat and my husband was very impressed with the blow hole that blows cold air.

Wupatki is a well preserved gem and a must visit place if you're interested in ruins. It is a place that gives you a true sense of what living must have been like in the harsh environment of the area. Never crowded and easy to get to. You could explore here all day and not seeing everything

We decided to drive through Wupatki, Az. It was really amazing to see these structures that were built so long ago still standing. You are allowed to walk on the ruins. The natural blow hole was interesting. The hat kept getting stuck on the bill. The rangers were so nice and informative. We saw a raven and it was really friendly too . Haha

What a great experience, from the pueblos to being able to hike in a lava field, this was awesome!! The "mothers breath" vent that blew COLD air, I did not want to leave!

The vast beauty of the wide-open spaces took my breath away, and the stunning views were nothing short of spectacular. The family-friendly visitor center was a great addition, providing informative displays and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely pack your own snacks and water- no food onsite. I also want to highlight the knowledgeable tour guides who made our visit even more enjoyable. They were passionate about the area and shared fascinating insights that truly enriched our experience. I highly recommend visiting The Creator for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Arizona!

We had a great visit to the Meteor Crater! The drive itself was beautiful on a cool Saturday morning - calm and pleasant with little traffic despite the rain warning. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating details about the crater’s history and science. The museum and 4D experience were engaging, and the highlight was getting to see and actually touch a real meteor - truly the star of the show! If you enjoy astronomy, you could easily spend the whole day here.

What a spectacularly massive site to see!! Even the little ones easily made it to the top. There are free water bottle filling stations and a great coffee shop. The children’s play area is neat. The gift shop is great too and even has meteor shards for sale. I’ll never forget the smell of the meteor chunk either-like a huge bag of nickels and iron. The amount of informational displays in the visitors center is phenomenal and fun! We’ll absolutely be back!!!

Visited 11/1/2025 Amazing to see - we were greeted with smiles and welcomed in. The building was clean the restrooms were clean very well kept. The grounds were beautiful. Getting to the crater (the view point) was steep walk the rails came in handy. The rails were nicely painted. They do have an elevator to assist getting to view point. The gift shop was great loved all the mineral rocks they do have space items also. They have tours, attractions, a little museum and other room for kids. It was an interesting. Place. Price 29.00 adult or each.

We had a a great time! The kids and husband loved it and I’m a space nerd so I really enjoyed this! I was like a kid in a candy shop! Just 20-30 minutes out side of flagstaff! Worth the money and the time! Worth the experience! There is soo much to do kids zone restaurant/coffee shop gift shop a 4D movie and a 3D ride! Hayden did the tour and was amazing he made the whole group laugh and he was very patient with our 5 year old answering ALL the questions/statements he asked! We highly recommend stopping for a visit if your around meter crater!!

The entrance fee was a lot higher than expected, but I knew i would regret not going if I chose to not pay thier fee. The guided tour was nice and the person gave us some background and stories. The views from the visitors center were nice allowing a full view of the crater. There is a 6ft astronaut figure at the bottom to help with the size perspective and you need a zoom lens to find him. This crater is large! I loved everything except the price of entry.

I spent 30 bucks when all I wanted to do was check out a crater. It was cool I guess but the 30 bucks honestly just passed me off. It did include a guided tour, a movie, and the museum (which i did enjoy that one) but I did not want the others.

So other than the corner and a couple of bars and gift shops there's not a lot to do here. It's really easy to get too just off the interstate, but if you're driving an RV parking could be challenging. If you're looking for a short stop and a bit of food at an old fashioned tourist place then this is the perfect place to go

A fun afternoon standing on the corner! Nice shops for souvenirs. I was here in '22, but didn't stick around long r/t homeless on each corner. Happy to day none this time. The town has added outdoor eating/pubs since then. You have to see the world smallest chapel n garden area. Overall definately worth seeing, esp if you like Eagles music!

We had a lot of fun there taking pictures.. The surprise was the tiny Church and the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel immensely. Don't miss the famous hotel if you go to Winslow.

If you're an Eagles fan then you will want to stop at this "famous" corner. It's nice that a small town can create a tourist attraction from song lyrics! As I was driving around Winslow on my way to the corner, I figured that my wife and I would be the only visitors. I was surprised at how many other people took time to stop by this iconic corner. It's a terrific tribute to Glenn Frey and the Eagles and worth the time to stop by!

This is tough to write. The actual homage that has been created is really well done and very engaging - but Winslow is the 4th most dangerous city in Arizona and you can really feel it as you are driving in. I was by myself and felt as though I had to keep my head on a swivel the entire time, rather than enjoy the spot. Just beware and be safe.

If you know the musical group The Eagles then you know this site. Famous for being mentioned in the lyrics of the song Take It Easy, written by Jackson Brown and Glen Frey. Also a popular spot on Route 66.

We had a great time at the park! We saw the coolest lizards, crows, donkeys and a wonderful view! The ranger at the visitor center was very knowledgeable and helpful. They also have an excellent gift shop.

Amazing campground within the state park. Most sites have electric and water. There is a dump station and new bathrooms and showers. Views and sunsets are fantastic. Wild burros throughout the park and sometimes in the campground. Ancient Pueblo ruins within the park.

Such a beautiful park! I wish I could have stayed longer! The spots were great not to close. Most sites had a covered picnic table and grill. I was on site 5 and mine didn't have a cover but a nice tree that my picnic table was under. There was a restroom and look like showers but I didn't go in. The building itself looked new. It was pretty busy.

This was a great place to camp while az was getting rain for days. It's up on a bit of a hill so we are fine. I really enjoyed watching the wild donkeys. We walked to homolovi in and loved seeing all of the pottery shards. Homolovi ii had more intact buildings and really nice walkway.

Surprising nice campground! This was a last minute unplanned stay and turned out to be so nice! The sites were large and next close together. Each site had a covered area with a picnic table and fire ring. Showers were clean. Wild burros free roam the park which is really neat! We could hear them braying in evening when we were around the campfire. The ruins were really neat and there’s broken pottery everywhere! Overall a great park/campground, would stay here again!

Extraordinary park to learn about the Hopi culture and archeology. Ranger Ken and Gwen are incredibly knowledgeable having spent 35 years at the park. We had the best tour and pottery demonstration rivaling any park I have ever been too. The campground is great and has 50 and 30-amp service and a sewer dump. The bathrooms are very clean and the views and space between campsites is great. Lots to see in the Winslow area, Crater. petrified forest, LaPosada,,,,, A must on your Arizona experience list!

Loved our two night stopover here. There are showers and flush toilets that are all very well maintained and clean. The park is beautiful and very quiet ... no train noise but you see them off on the horizon and I know there are reviews of other parks that mention the noise so that was a bonus for us! The sites are large with a cabana and picnic table at each one. Just a 13 minute drive to the infamous "Standin' on the corner" location. Another review mentioned a very bumpy ride into the site, that has been fixed and it's not bad at all... would NOT stop me from going at all! Highly recommend this spot!

Brantley, the 87 year old owner, and his daughter, a former teacher, gave the tour personally. We were first shown artifacts hat had been found around the ranch. Then we were taken on a very in depth tour of the ranch's archeological sites. Then we were shown the canyon and given as much time as we wanted to explore with a "call us when the last one of you leaves so we can lock up". Brantley and his family have so much passion for the land, preserving the artifacts, and history of the indigenous people who once lived or passed through there. Be advised that while there is an overlook with seats and picnic tables, getting into the canyon is not the most accessible. The stairs are rock stairs and are steep in places. Also, you must call to book a reservation for the tour. They do one a day and they do not take walk-ins, as the canyon is a decent drive from the parking area. The road leading to the ranch is dirt and gravel. The roads to the various sites are mostly dirt. We had a fwd Pacifica and wished we had taken our suv. A car may struggle. However the canyon is beautiful and we would go back on our next trip out here.

A family operation, Rock Art Ranch is well worth the time and entrance fee. Great photos, stories, displays and, of course, petroglyphs and pictograms.

If you want to see petroglyphs up close, this is the place. Must reserve in advance. Total time is around 4 hours for visit to barn, museum, ancient Pueblo sites and petroglyphs. Take lunch, liquids and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes for walk on sandy boulders.

What a hidden gem. Wonderful family run ranch and museum with a long personal history and a love of the ancient history and people of the land they live on. A friend and I just went last week and were fortunate to get a very personal tour. A huge thank you to the Baird family who care for the land and its history and are willing to share it. It is very remote but also accessible even in my prius. Plan to spend most of the day for this trip even if you are already in the area!

If you are interested in the old west and historical ancient ruins and petroglyphs this is your place. This is in a private ranch. The current owner has been here since he was a child. (70ish years) One if the universities have done several archeological digs for ruins. The owner placed a cover building to protect the open dig site. There is a small museum with old ranching items and small bunk house. Some amazing pottery discovered from the land. A small area where a Navajo family lived for many years. This family still maintains the Hogan house. The main event is the petroglyphs in the canyon. A set of steep stairs of rock and metal get you down into the canyon. A couple of bridges help cross the creek. There are so many to see. Some that may be so old that the desert varnish has cover them again after they were pecked into the rock by the desert dwellers. I had read that there may be 3000 pics. I don't know but there were a lot!! So if you can handle the hopping around boulders and sand you can find many with a up close in personal look. This would not be a good place to visit during the heat of Arizona summer.

Absolutely a great place to go. You need to call for reservations as part of your tour of the sites is guided. The canyon is steep but worth it as there are hundreds of petroglyphs. The main ranch building is full of pioneer artifacts and a room with the best preserved pottery I have ever seen. I visited the ranch and was there 4 hours. It includes the main building, an old university archeology dig, a group of hogans and sweat lodges, and the canyon. Well worth the $35 admission.

Absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately, it is now closed for tours, possibly for good. Incredible pottery found on the ranch. Also, amazing petroglyphs down by their canyon. If they open up again, don't miss this.

Don't miss this outstanding area. Words can't describe what is expecting you. I've seen so many bandlands during the last couple of years but this is by far the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen.

Absolutely beautiful. We stopped on our drive from Roswell going to Las Vegas and it was definitely worth it. Cloudy when we got there but the colors are still amazing and vibrant. My photos I didn't use any filters but I did adjust the shutter speed and ISO setting

No signage, so you need to know where you're going beforehand! A hidden gem. Gorgeous views of the Painted Desert (better than at the NP, imo). The roads are rough and not kept up, but it's highly worth the visit. Far fewer people than at the national park. Free to enter.

It’s really too bad this has been abandoned, because it has absolutely incredible views. Unfortunately, it is only a matter of time before the road falls into such disrepair that it becomes impassable and the natural beauty is destroyed by locals using it as a dump site. Very sad, since it’s one of the most breathtaking sights in the area.

This is a colorful, beautiful area of Arizona rich with history that is a must see. The area has been left to the elements to decay. The "road" is sketchy but my family sedan made it fine. We went around 530PM and were rewarded with beautiful colors, we also went the next morning but the colors didn't show up.

Beautiful scenery! Standing on the edge and looking out may make you want to climb down inside the area and look around in more detail; there were railroad ties made into stairs at one time but they are eroded and not usable currently.

The Little Painted Desert is a hidden treasure on Arizona 87 near mile marker 360 west of the highway. The road is unmarked, so slow down approaching mile marker 360. Be cautious, as this jem is no longer preserved by any Parks Department and the Rim Road is rough so DRIVE SLOW. This is on private land on Navjo Nation, so please show respect. There are no restrooms here. Picnic areas are no longer kept up. 20 minutes north of Winslow is well worth the trip for an amazing view.

Coveniently located near the entrance to the Petrified Forest, this huge shop offers a wide variety of items including raw materias as well as finished goods. The shop has many interesting displays including the fossil of Wild Bill the alligator, vintage toys, insects and native artifacts. It us a good place to grab souveniers fro the area. Enjoy the photo ops outside with donosaur statues. Plenty of free parking and clean restrooms.

I absolutely loved this place. They had tons!!! Of petrified wood for sale. If you love crystals you will love this place! Don't miss it. They have some very cool private collections on display!

This place is a must see store! Thousands of items to look at for sale… massive, whole petrified wood logs, beautiful displays of rough & polished petrified wood slabs, huge log pieces down to small pieces the size of a quarter. All different types of gem quality rocks & minerals and collectibles, rough and polished. Absolutely AMAZING store! We went shortly before closing time and wanted to spend way more time there!

This store is definitely worth the stop. The owner has a beautiful "personal" collection inside the store plus MANY beautiful pieces for sale. #Arizona #Route66 #Holbrook

If you are into rocks and minerals this is the place to visit. There are so many different options and at the very least, it has a very cool museum with lots of collectibles, artifacts, fossils, etc that aren’t even for sale. I was so impressed with this place that I came back a second time with a friend who uses rocks and minerals for healing. We overheard people talking about how much they overpaid at the previous place they stopped by. They couldn’t get over how good these prices were. I happen to agree. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and it was such a pleasure buying from this store. Definitely worth a stop by if you are in the area. Not too far from Petrified Forest National Park.

This place is amazing! There are a lot of cool items, and the staff are very friendly. They had a lot of interesting items on display, and its definitely worth visiting to get some great crystals and fossils. I had fun just walking around and looking, and also bought a shark tooth and some rocks and petrified wood. There is a huge selection, and I added some photos of things that caught my eye.

A MUST STOP FOR ROCK LOVERS!!! Excellent selection of carved and raw specimens at pretty great prices!! Their Labradorite is pretty cheap too!!! Love their stuff for kids as well as us "Kids at Heart"! Staff is super friendly and packed our purchases well for our travels!

Nice and quiet but do don’t bring your outside pets to this location. Tons of stickers everywhere. Also, not a very good spot for big rigs. But we felt safe and the stars are beautiful. No highway noise.

The Petrified Forest was closed due to Federal shutdown. However the gift shop was open. They have lots of wonderful things and the prices are reasonable compared to some shops we visited. Very nice displays of private collections. See photos, clock is amazing. One of my favorite piece I have seen.

What a great gift shop. They have everything that you would need from large expensive pieces to small, not expensive pieces.

This is a quaint shop as you enter the park! I appreciated the diverse deals around the store. I was able to purchase a geode bookend set at 50% off for my younger sister, which I'm sure she'll love! My only complaint was that there was a series of nails sticking out of a shelf around thigh-level, resulting in a small tear of my favorite pants 😩.

They’ve got all the usual stuff (hats, shirts, stickers, magnets, mugs, etc) but this place has TONs of petrified wood, and ICE COLD BEER! Plus, overnight camping in their parking lot.

Thank goodness they were open. The museum that we drove to see closed up early. The gift shop has the same items. It was wonderful. I bought souvenirs to take home. Thank you for being there!

This was a fun shop to poke around in after leaving the Petrified Forest. There are tons of things in there ranging from different types of petrified wood (claiming to be collected from legal sites not within the PF) to fossils to minerals and to even some Native American souvenirs. We felt that lots of stuff in here was overpriced, especially the petrified wood and fossils, but the minerals and Native American souvenirs were decently priced for the most part. We did buy a few small things for future Christmas gifts, and the shop owner was nice. We especially liked the goofy setup outside with the cars trying to haul off giant chunks of petrified wood.

If you are going to do one hike in park do this one. Especially if you have never had chance to visit badlands national park. Mini version of badlands. Also cool to see if you can’t make the hike worth driving down this loop road just to get out and see at overlook.

Blue Mesa is well worth the short drive/detour off the main road through Painted Desert, and the short hike around the well paved trail an absolutely fabulous way to spend 30-45 minutes. The colours of the mesas are subtle but beautiful, and the area strewn with lovely petrified wood. Overall, one of the highlights of the Painted Desert.

It's a short but occasionally strenuous trek through the gouged-out beauty of the Blue Mesa. Which actually isn't all that blue. The dominant hues are white, gray, red and brown, with a little blue mixed in here and there. The sides of the mesa seem to be melting away, creating canyons and enormous piles of stoney soil. The tableau you see looks like a snapshot of scoops of ice cream melting.

Nice easy walk down below. I expected it to be more blue, but it wasn't even its in the name.. You get to see some petrified wood around the area too upclose.

Blue Mesa has become my favourite place we've visitied in a road trip in the US, amazing and magical place. Breathtaking colors, couldn't get enough of it!

Hidden gem. My kids and I loved this place. Junior ranger activities to earn a badge. Fun hands on activities in the center. Lots of history to learn in the post. Art to see in the tour of the house. Fun general store to buy souvenirs with authentic Navajo art and rugs.

What an amazing and historic location. I was amazed to find out it’s still a fully operational trading post as it was 100+ years ago. The Navajo artifacts were just breathtaking! I was able to find the perfect opal ring! Well worth the drive!

We stopped at the Trading Post for a rest stop and to look through the Visitor Center and gift shop. The restroom ms were very clean. The Visitor Center was interesting and informative. The gift shop/store was also interesting with a variety of souvenirs and gifts. I bought some magnets and handmade soaps.

A must see especially if you are a history buff. Very original structures. Ranger will give you a tour of the house and you can guide yourself thru the store, barn, and grounds. Beautiful Navajo items like baskets, jewelry and blankets for purchase.

We drove all through vast country to meet Hubble. He wasn’t there. The trading post still stands, so we did a little business, learned some history, and continued on our way.

I loved visiting this historic site. It was authentic and is a great place to shop for Native American books, jewelry, artwork, etc.

Driving down HWY 53, as you come around a bend in the road, off in the distance, a tall, beautiful, and commanding sight comes into view. El Morro. A mesa that is a natural History museum in its own right. The Park is beautifully maintained by the NPS. The museum has beautiful pieces of history in it. The gift shop has so many cool things inside. The restrooms were clean, the water fountain had ice cold water available. Park Ranger Boone stands out almost as much as El Morro itself. Ranger Boone welcomed us as we entered as if we were entering his own home. He told us the tale of the history of El Morro, it's cultural significance, walked us through the map of the park with expert experience. He told us about how he came to El Morro as a child and now has his dream job of working there. His passion and knowledge of the park and history made our trip to El Morro so much more special. Thank you Ranger Boone for making us feel so welcomed to El Morro. Thank you NPS for keeping the park in such excellent condition. So yeah, definitely come here. It was a fantastic hike, beautiful views, and cool history.

El Morro is a beautiful hidden gem in western New Mexico. The 2+ mile loop trail is super well-marked and scenic, with stairs carved right into the rock. Definitely go left at the trailhead, it’s an easier climb that way. The views from the top are incredible, and the historic carvings along the trail make it even more special. The park ranger we met was super helpful and friendly, pointing out cool spots we would’ve missed. The campground was also a nice surprise, quiet, clean, and surrounded by trees. Great stop if you’re passing through or looking for a peaceful place to camp.

Wonderful place to visit. See petroglyhs, inscriptions, take a hike up to the Pueblo ruins on top. Well worth the trip. The staff here is excellent , knowledgeable, and super friendly. Everything was well kept. Go see it.

Visited on 9.17.2025. The hiking trails to the top and along the perimeter of the rock formations are very easy and they provide some dramatic views. Highly Recommend spending a few hours here during a visit to New Mexico. Make sure you have plenty of water.

Been here many, many times over the years. It's a bit out of the way,but one of my favorite places to visit. A beautiful NM gem with a rich history. There is no charge for this site. A nice visitor center houses a small museum and gift shop. A mo is of the history of the area can be wat he'd upon request. There is a short trail, about a mile, that takes you to a pond, many signatures carved into the rock, and that goes up and over the buff, where there are spectacular views. You overlook a box canyon on top. There are also pueblo ruins. A long steep staircase brings you back down. I do like to pack a picnic lunch, as there is nowhere you can count on for food and the gift shop doesn't sell food. There is a water refilling station. It's definitely worth the side trip.

We had a fabulous day here hiking and climbing. Easily accessible. Trails are easy to follow and the entire place is photo worthy.

Closed. Really stupid to have this closed when nobody's needed to be there for you to walk around and do the hikes and such. Their website doesn't even have everything described correctly, it doesn't say that it is closed just that the visitor center is closed. Others drove around this and found that there's a big gate that's closed that doesn't let you go any further.

Visited on 9.17.2025. I walk through the Lava Flow to the cave is amazing. The fun begins Once you get to the cave. About halfway down the steps you can feel the temperature dropping from hot to cold, and once you are in the cave area, it is freezing inside. The views of the Ice and ice flows along the cave walls are amazing. It's fascinating that birds actually live in the cave walls. Highly Recommend.

Beautiful hike through the lava field lots of marked stops with numbers to read about on the guide. This is a self guided tour. Good shoes recommended. Bring a bottle of water and if you are prone to getting hot save the ice cave for last its 31° F all year. The Cinder cone of the Volcano is a good first stop then follow the loop down to the ice cave.

I visited this spot per the recommendation of my Uber driver from the airport. I had never heard of an ice cave before so I was definitely intrigued. Arriving at this location, I was greeted by an older gentleman who gave me a quick overview of the location and some history. I was also greeted by a darling Aussie named Rosie. I first hiked to the caldera, and I will say I was pretty underwhelmed. I was surprised to learn that New Mexico's geography was deeply shaped by volcanic activity long ago, but once it became very apparent that this was the case looking at the rocks. Along the path, you can find three different types of lava rocks. I then took the short hike to the ice cave and THIS is what made this trip worth it. What a unique feature and an experience climbing down into the cave. You go from scorching 90 degrees heat to a sudden drop in temperature as you descend into the cave. I was surprised to even see icicles! What a cool geologic feature and something I would suggest others seeing if they come to the area. The trading post was quaint, featuring a small museum of old pottery from indigenous people and had a selection of a multitude of trinkets.

Beautiful scenery, accessible and easier hiking for great views. Geological phenomenon with ice cave. Overall took about 1-1.5 hours to explore gift shop and complete the hike to the volcano and scenic trail to ice cave. Ready to get to from Albuquerque NM

I LOVED this!! I see the signs on the interstate but always have a horse trailer. Today I was in a car, yay! Cool little spot, awesome that it's privately owned, self guided with an info pamphlet; little gift store, super nice people; very interesting little spot!

The volcano was very interesting. A short, easy hike on a loop that includes the ice cave. The ice cave (really part of a collapsed lava tube) was fascinating, but a little disappointing that we could only look inside from a viewing platform. Well with a stop.

This was a cool experience not too far off the highway. It was a great break to stretch our legs during our drive from Arizona to Texas. I believe they had activities for kids but we didn’t have kids with us so I can’t say for sure. Definitely worth the stop.

Neat place. Unfortunately they were closed from 12 to 1 for lunch so we didn’t get to go inside. Cool stuff out back and front.

Very knowledgeable staff. Friendly and helpful. Very interesting to go into the uranium mine replica. They had lots of informative interactive displays.

I have 3 Minecraft loving kids, so when we were traveling across the country and I saw a sign for a real mine, we had to stop! We were not disappointed! It was small, taking maybe 30 minutes to walk through, and my kids could not have cared less about the history exhibit upstairs, but we walked that mine down below twice because it was a "real life mine!"

We had a great visit at the museum. The ground level features native artifacts, some as old as 1000+ years, and various mineral samples. We took the elevator to the lower lever mining exhibit, and the stories told by miners themselves (recordings available at each station) were fascinating. You can really appreciate the complexity of technology and the sheer enormity of human labor during the early mining endeavors.

A very nice museum. We learned a lot about uranium mining in the area. The staff was extra nice. Highly recommended.

This museum was very cool. Our kids absolutely loved the replica of the mine. I would rate it 5 stars but communication could have been a little better. There were a couple field trips when we arrived there. The woman at the front desk made it sound like the mine needed to be done as a guided tour. We waited around for 20 minutes until we learned we could go in on our own. The staff was nice and everything else was great.

The cultural center and museum have a small sample and history of the Acoma pueblo. The primary reason to visit is it is the place to get tickets and visit the Pueblo itself. The Pueblo is very interesting, being one of, if not the oldest continually inhabited cities in North America. Some notes here are worthwhile. Bring water. It is not available for purchase on site, so buy or bring some from where you are coming from. The website does not indicate this, but the tour is one and a half hours, and the Pueblo is on a high,dry, hot mesa. Also, signs and the website indicate pictures are not allowed, nor are cell phones. Our guide told us still photos are allowed, just not in the church and other religious locations, and cell phones are permitted, so if you want to send a selfie, you can. During the tour, local artisans have various items on sale. You can buy them, and they are open to discussion on price. To leave the Pueblo, you can take the bus, or use the "stairs". These are not normal stairs, but are carved into the side of the mountain to get down. There are railings and handholds, but the elevation is close to 8000 feet and the descent is about 350 feet. I recommend the stairs if you are reasonably fit and have good balance, otherwise, take the bus back down. One other recommendation. Bring and wear sunscreen. Much of the tour is outside with little relief from sun exposure.

Amazing! Our tour guide Jeremy was such a nice, genuine person. His knowledge as an Acoma tribal member was deep. Sky City is a place that has been inhabited since 1100 AD (at least) so there's lot to learn, understand and just absorb. Native tip: last tour is 3:30pm. That's when we went and we got a personal tour, just me, my girl and our tour guide. (he let us blow out the candles on the altar at St Esteban since we were the last tour!) Also show your tribal ID for a discount (Thank you!!!).

The cultural center is where one is able to watch a short video about the history of the Acoma and how they came to live on the mesa, as well as purchase tour tickets. Then a van drives visitors a short distance up the steep road to the top of the mesa. Once there, the tour guide (our wonderful guide was Gail. Amazingly knowledgeable) explains the physical features of the homes (old and newer), how the few who live there live day to day without electricity and running water, the church, the culture and it's vibrancy still today, feast days, and where and how the Acoma are actually living today. Super interesting and enjoyable.

Acoma is a very special place to visit. It's a treasure that everyone should take the time to tour. The people are warm, welcoming, and love to share their art and history. As an American citizen, we take so much for granted. Acoma helps us to realize just how fortunate we really are and have been.

Nice getaway. It's educational. Lots of history. Great tour guides. Relaxing. Tour is about 1 hour in length.

We arrived at 10am as we saw in the website that tours are at 10:30, apparently at this day there was a tour at 9:30 for vip group so the next tour was at 11:30 so we had to wait 1.5 hours. The tour itself was very interesting. We enjoyed it. The only thing that bother me was that they are trying to sell their products every where in the tour.

What a hidden gem! Magnificent landscape, beautiful people, rich history. Our tour guide, "Gubi," is among the few people who still live on top of the mesa. We learned so much from him about the Acoma dating back to 1140 AD, with stories of his own family's history. Highly recommend!

When we arrived they were doing construction on their hotel area and we had to enter over by the pool area, it was a little confusing and that exterior door was locked, so a gentleman that worked there helped open it for us. When we booked the reservation the desk Clark stated for us to enter through that door; however, it was locked and you could not. The rooms are basic, nothing special, but the beds were extremely comfortable and they did have a nice large refrigerator for your personal use and a Keurig machine which is always a plus. The room in bathroom was clean and very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. We played a few slots and they are some of the tightest slots we have ever played. It's a nice stopping point during your travels, but I definitely would not stop there to play in the casino because of how tight everything was and you rarely got into any of the bonuses. We did have dinner and watch a ballgame with a few drinks in their sports bar that was very good.

This was an unexpected stay but impressive stay. The room for handicap accessible was not just accessible but useable as well!!! Kudos!!! Well designed for the ability to move around and function. Even the bed was the perfect height. We had a great night's rest after a fun evening in the casino plus a visit to the Stadium 66 for dinner. Stadium 66 perfect place for watching a game and picking up a bit to eat. Service was amazing! Thank you for a memorable stop!

Ok I usually like to play in this establishment. This time however was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. First of all I am an amputee and I have a hard time getting around with my prosthetic. I was told that if I needed help they would assist that was never offered. They are currently doing construction and THERE IS NO HANDICAP PAKING had to park 6 rows back on the far side of the casino and walked forever and had 2 rest twice.i had problems with the lamp and the shower was leaking I made a request with maintenance I called at 8 am nobody comes by until after 3 calls he gets there at 6pm and says he can’t fix either. He says someone will changes room after 3 hours of waiting for that call they say all supervisors are gone for the day we are now on day 3 I asked to speak to the supervisor at 8 in the morning because I was woken up at 6:30 by construction vehicles beeping constantly. I make 6 total trips to the front desk and waited till 4:20 still no manager she leaves at 2:30 so I finally sit and wait at the front desk I wait for 15 min for a supervisor and she sends the maintenance guy I asked why nobody called to change my room 2 days ago he said he didn’t know I WAS IGNORED the whole time. No help getting help to getting my things to the car. The only good thing I had the most amazing housekeeping staff who on the last day fixed the lamp. Do not stay here if you can avoid it. I spent over 2000 dollars there and could not even get anyone who would even acknowledge me. Stay at Sandi’s or isletta where they take care of you and want your business Also the rooms are outdated and no microwaves in the rooms and you have to request your room to be cleaned they don’t do it automatically

If this casino spent as much concern with the inside of this hotel, as they do the outside, it would be a decent place to stay. Hair on the floor hair in the sink, dirt in the sink, old a c heating unit that kept only one side of the room to the right temperature. Thin enough walls that you could hear clothes being hung up next door and a water bottle that had already been opened. The pillows were nice and the refrigerator was large. But with the lack of cleanliness, it was kind of concerning to sleep in the bed at all. The food on site is very good, which is good because it's too far out from doing anything.

DO NOT STAY HERE OR EAT HERE! 3 food places had the worst food! Old food, been out ALL day, and dried out! Bathroom sink didn't drain. No towel racks in bathroom. ALL elevators were down and they allowed the fire escape OUTSIDE door to be left open (unattended) ALL night! Take my word for it! They don't care about their customers but they don't have to because they are sovereign law so they can do what they want!!

I've been to a concert at Legends Theater but I decided to bring my wife here for her birthday and she loved it. We also tried the buffet which was on crab leg night and it was worth the price. I can't wait to come back for more fun

Great stop for traveling thru. If you get a players card and play some slots, they will send you some awesome perks. I got 2 free nights, 30 for food and 30 for gas. I left better than I went in on this trip. Love it!!
