Sunday River is one of the best mountains in the Northeast without question. First time visit, loved it. Spring skiing so not as many trails open as we'd have liked but the double blacks were manageable and there was plenty to experience. The igloo is incredible, the Mountain Room food delicious and the apres scene with live band was fun. Plan to return.

Studio with kitchenette was plenty spacious for one or two people. Clean and comfortable! Staff was very accommodating. I enjoyed hiking the trail up to Locke Mountain.

What a nice experience I had at Sunday River Ski Resort! I really enjoyed my friday afternoon there (12- close). At first I thought it was a bit expensive, but I was surprised by : - ski conditions were very good. 😊 - the views everywhere are just wow!!! - not much wait at the chairlifts. - there was a super nice and huge igloo bar at the bottom of jordan bowl peak, SO COOL! One of the main highlight of the day. ✨ - and what to say about those bubbled chairlift anti-wind 👌10000/10 thanks doppelmayr! Shout out! Last but not least, LOVED seeing those ski-doo snowmobiles 👌 #thankyou

Great staff, amenities and skiing experience for all levels. I am a novice skier and liked how many green and blue trails there were to pick from. Icy conditions the weekend we went but I felt comfortable on the trails as a novice compared to some other mountains in New England area. Highly recommend the waffles at the top of the chondola lift. Absolutely delicious! As a novice, I most enjoyed and felt comfortable on the green trails at the South Ridge area but also really enjoyed Moonstruck trail. Staying at a ski in and out condo is great, but be sure to check out the trails first because some are located on difficult trails or you can ski out with no problem but getting back could be a little challenging. Update: I went again a week with fresh powder and optimal conditions and it was amazing, still would recommend even when on icy side. Staff are all wonderful!

We went there in July for a conference, and I found the staff to be really friendly. The food was great, and there are plenty of trails to explore and enjoy.

Best maine mountain for snow making and high speed lift service. Massive in length, you can ski from the top right most peak Jordan, across all 8 peaks to white cap lodge. An amazing long beginner trail Kansas that brings you back to the base. (Sometimes a bit flat for snowboarders depending on conditions) Jordan 8 and Barker have great advanced terrain to lap and you can do a ton of runs even during the spring. White heat and vortex are amazing expert trails steep, groomed, and open most of the season. (Including April) I wish there was a steep groomed double black off Jordan 8 that led back to the lift. They blow snow on tin woodsman let it mogul up, turn to ice, and close it. Why not groom at least one of the 8 double blacks off Jordan. Otherwise it's a massive distance from rogue angel to cyclone closed for skiing. Sucks having to take Aurora or white heat (slow lifts) just to ski steep groomed terrain.

Great place, looking forward to the renovations! Jay at the front desk is exceptionally kind and helpful, and all the other employees were kind and generous.

Was a bit of a drive, and a bit out of the way .. but the scenery was spectacular along the way. This bridge was nice to visit, walk through, and photograph... but just wished there was something more in the immediate area - no town/village; no cute shops; no real restaurants or dining. Just know that it's kinda in the middle of nowhere. But again, the bridge is in good condition and wonderful to visit.

Really only the bridge and river to see, but it was worth the trip down in for us. We enjoyed it.

Another New England Historic bridge. Located off the main road there seems to be plenty of parking on both sides of the bridge for multiple cars. Is it accessible. Maybe the entrance is narrow for a wheelchair. And it is a dirt path leading from the parking lot the bridge. Walking across took me 20 seconds each way. There is no bathroom nearby. You’ll probably have to drive to the Sunday River resort nearby. You can walk down to the rivers edge to take pictures. Its technically open 24 hours, but its not lot so you wont see it at night off the main road. I did not see a plaque explaining the history of the bridge. But the sign does say Sunday River 1872. Enjoy

Great place to bring your kids. We went with a group of adults and teens and we still had a great time. It's more safe than bigger parks, has more of a home feeling than you'd expect. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They're very safe witht the rides and you can bring in food and drinks of your own.

Cute amusement park but kind of dated. The park is storybook /nursery rhyme themed but we noticed most kids did not know Humpty Dumpty, mother goose, the old lady in the shoe and other rhymes. The water park “moo lagoon” is quite nice and they have adorable farm animal mascots. Cinderellas pumpkin coach was cute. And how cool to take it up to the castle to visit and have pix made with Cinderella.

I wish I could live there! Great entertainment, fun rides, saw favorite characters from when I was a child. I sat with Mother Goose and the old woman in the shoe Saw beautiful Cinderella, Captain Hook, the Queen of Hearts, Cinderella, Alice and even the fox. Went in the tea cups, a boat ride on a pirate ship and the train ride around the park. This was my first time there. My daughter and granddaughter brought me and I am so happy. There was lots of walking. They do have rentals for wheelchairs and scooters. (Also strollers). I think it truly takes more than one day to see and do many other things. There are other rides and splash pools in the summer. My granddaughter loves the Polarcoaster! She is 10 yrs old.

My family and I love going to Story Land! We are season pass holders and always get more than our money’s worth every year. My son is on the spectrum and this park is very autism-friendly. They have an amazing calming room (located right over by Humpty Dumpty next to the adult changing room) for when kids are dysregulated or are feeling overstimulated. All of the rides feature sensory ratings posted outside of the rides. We’ve been in June, July and October and the most we’ve ever waited in line was 40 minutes for the antique cars. October was so much fun for the Halloween decorations and cooler weather, lesser crowds, etc. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area with kids.

Great place for small children. There are plenty of rides for small children and things to see to keep them occupied for several hours. The entertainment for cost is excellent. The park is super clean.

Really a 3.5. Kids had a blast but it’s a still a tourist amusement park that nickels and dimes you everywhere you step. Family of four was easily a $350+ day after all said and done. My girls loved the tea time with Cinderella and bamboo shoots

Its a great park we like it there alot of fun things to do for the family I recommend this park also I hope they expand and put more on to it

Parking is in an open gravel parking lot. There is a box at the entry to the trail where you pay through honor system. Restrooms are located at the entry too. Nice hike through lush forest next to the stream. There are small ponds and waterfalls past Diana's Bath. Hiking trail is not easy but less than an intermediate-level hike for some parts.

Outstanding marvel of nature! We spent a ton of time here, when the water level is low you can climb on the rocks. We climbed to the top. In the summer you can get refreshed by the cold waterfalls. Just be very careful as the rocks are worn smooth and are slippery even when dry.

We we're looking for a little walk with a 'reward' at the end and this place didn't disappoint. A really nice cool walk through the trees to Diana's Bath and the relaxing sound of running water. We used our America The Beautiful pass for free parking too.

There wasn't much water due to the drought we've been having, but there were still small water streams and not having as much water allowed us to explore on the rocks a little more which was cool. Definitely want to visit again when we're not in a drought.

Great place for a family friendly experience. Just be cautious of climbing on the rocks, it can be slippery. Very scenic and beautiful rock formations with waterfalls. Nice place to picnic but get there early because it's a popular attraction

It's a short easy hike which leads to a great many rocky steps which sends water cascading down into a plethora of pools. Great place to run around without too many sharp ledges to worry about. Always take care where the rocks look wet, of course! A few brief downsides: when we went there around early afternoon, it did take awhile to get into the parking lot. It's a very popular place! Also, the bathroom was a pig style (and smelled worse than one...)

A past time we have been enjoying with family every year since 1998! Such an iconic spot. The rainfall for the year determines how beautiful the falls will be. Easy half a mile walk to the falls then climb the rocks yourself or with your kiddos, grandkids and pups. Bring water or hiking shoes with you. Last but not least, get there before 8:30 because the line backs up out the entrance.

I had higher expectations but it was still a nice relaxing ride. 70% of the time was spent riding through a wall of trees and towns. When you enter the train, for best views sit on left side. Once it did open up, the views were great. Definitely consider a fall ride during peak for the best color.

We were so excited to take the scenic railroad train ride. Cut out a scenic drive in the national park to make the trip. The train car was really cool and built in 1923 very detailed features and use to be a passenger train from new Jersey to Manhattan. The ride was smooth and relaxing with the sun coming through all the windows. The scenic views were sub par from construction zones, neighborhoods, junky back yards, businesses, a corn field and one nice view of a mountain range with soccer goals all in front of it. Very disappointed from what was described on the website to what was actually delivered. Maybe the 4hr trip is better but the 1hr was just a train ride without the scenic views. I will say everyone was nice and polite and the car was exceptionally clean. Adding pictures of the #view of your doing the 1hr to save your time.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see the changing colors in the fall. However, I recommend that you do NOT reserve the dome car which has the most expensive seats. The dome and windows are not clean and are tinted so you can not get pics. In addition, we were freezing as there is no heat and the seats appear short than in the main cars. Four hours is a long ride to see more ‘of the Same’. I might recommend a shorter, less expensive option.

We had a really enjoyable experience. We travelled in Dome class which does give you better views. The trees along the track obscure much of the views so you really have to enjoy the journey itself. It is quite an expensive activity so you really have to like riding a train. I feel like they could have made the experience more valuable with a complimentary drink and snack. There is a snack bar on board but queues are long. Overall we are glad we did the journey but I wouldn’t repeat it

We took a 1-hour ride to celebrate our anniversary and had a lovely time! We bought first-class tickets and had the car entirely to ourselves (on an August Sunday). The views were lovely, the seats and car were comfortable (and the A/C had no trouble keeping up with the August heat), and we had a delightful time. For the first half of the trip there was a pre-recorded narration of the sights coming up (in a soothing Mr. Rogers–style voice — we felt like he liked us just the way we are!), which helped me get in position for photos. The second half of the trip (coming back along the same track) had no narration. Probably not good for small children with limited attention spans, but a delightful, relaxing experience for adults who like scenery and history. One thing to watch out for: We did not allow for the dense traffic we experienced on our way to the station, and we ended up being the last people aboard and had to scramble to get our boarding passes. In general, traffic in the area during the summer was a lot thicker and slower than I expected. (Since we were the only people in the first-class car, though, it didn’t matter that we were the last ones aboard.) There were a few fun historical exhibits in the station; it's worth taking the time before or after your ride to check those out.

Riding the Conway Scenic Railroad was a truly unforgettable experience like stepping back in time while gliding through some of New Hampshire’s most breathtaking landscapes. The vintage train cars were beautifully restored, and the ride itself was smooth, peaceful, and full of charm. As we traveled through lush forests and over scenic bridges, the fall colors were absolutely stunning, making every moment feel like a moving postcard. The staff were incredibly friendly and shared fascinating local history throughout the journey, adding depth to the views outside the window. Whether you're a train enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing and scenic escape, this ride is a perfect blend of nostalgia, nature, and New England charm.

We rode the scenic railway at the beginning of October. Overall it was a disappointing experience. We chose the dome class for the best views. Unfortunately the windows were filthy so it wasn’t possible to get good photographs. A lot of the journey is through trees and woodland so the views aren’t great. It does open up towards the end so you can enjoy the scenery. It is expensive for what it is. The ticket collection was confusing, we queued for a long time to board the train and were directed to the wrong carriage. This process could have been better organised . If you love trains it’s worth doing otherwise you’re see more driving around.

Cool store with lots of different merchandise both old and new. Its a lot bigger than it looks. The museum was upstairs and was just a bunch of old stuff with no real explanation to it.

So much stuff. Many rooms to see. Can easily talk you over 30 minutes to see it all. Make sure to buy a barrel fresh dill or sour pickle. Lots of free parking in the back. Restrooms are portapotties in the parking lot.

Such a great find off the beaten path. The store is filled with a lot of great souvenirs and snacks. The museum is free and is up the stairs.

2 words. Pickle Barrel. This place was here when I was young so it was cool to experience it with my kids. I hope they will with theirs.

One of my favorite places to visit in the Lakes Region since my childhood. A great variety of local souvenirs. Be sure to visit the museum upstairs. And...don't miss out on the Best pickles in the pickle barrel near the register!

A really neat little old store, real old world New England vibes mixed with new world trinkets and snacks. A great spot to pick up a few momentos or treat the kids to a couple toys (plus they have original bottled Moxie if you're a real New Englander). Friendly staff and a fun place to just poke around. If you're in the area, stop in and check them out.

In my 25 years of coming to Conway area,I’ve never come here to ski. So for my bday weekend we booked to come here. It may not be the biggest or best mountain in the area, but it was still a great time. We booked a slope side room which sat above the base lodge, I think it was under $500 for 3 nights/4 days stay and included 4 days of ski passes for 2 people. So you couldn’t beat the price. Down the road about 1 minute away, was “traditions” restaurant which offered dinner and breakfast on certain days. Another purity springs lodge that is apart of king pine is located across the street, they offered more rooms, a hot tub, and a nice in ground heated pool. In the summer they have some other options for guests. As far as the mountain and slope side rooms went, the room was nice but basic, the bed was brutal to sleep on for me, and the shower head should be changed. It’s too small. But the water is always hot!, the room was nice enough, and the staff were good with cleaning and re supply. We had a beautiful view of the trails. Lastly, the trails were well groomed, and pretty fun. It’s just not a large mountain. But with that you get more runs in. The lines were small and at times there was none. So overall we had a great time and a pretty good stay, we would stay here again.

A very small nice little ski area. The vertical here isn't huge, but it's still fun. A great place for beginners and/ or families especially if getting started on skiing or snowboarding. They offer night skiing, and they do have a couple of expert runs when they have lots of snow. Rentals are available should you need them. Just a real nice family spot for sure.

Go a tiny mountain, King Pine Ski area, at 1515 Eaton Rd in Madison, NH is fantastic!!! They have wonderful, varied terrain, fantastic grooming, ample lift capacity, easy parking, delicious cafeteria food and SUPER friendly people working there! Because King Pine is part of the Indy Pass family, we decided to give it a try and we’re so pleasantly surprised! I hadn’t skied there since I was FIS racing as a child and didn’t remember much about it. I’m so glad we went! The runs are short of course, with the mtn having only a 350’ drop, but they run it like a large mountain and it is a hoot! A couple of trails have a nice drop, thought it’s predominantly a beginner to intermediate area. It’s very family friendly. I recommend you give it a try! This is a fun ski resort!

Bottom Line: 10/10 experience. Phenomenal slopes, extremely friendly staff, incredible views and they are super service member friendly! Was visiting NH for my 30th birthday and we decided to go snowboarding. We didn't realize they offered FREE lift tickets for active duty and their spouses so, essentially, we snowboarded for free (minus the rental). This was an incredible experience and we will definitely be back.

Always a great time skiing at King Pine. My son decided to take up snowboarding this year. His lesson with Alex was great. She was so encouraging and he improved alot with her instruction.

This is a great ski spot to take your family. It’s located right off of the road and has plenty of parking. The mountain isn’t huge so you can hit all of the trails and there isn’t a bad trail. They offer private and group lessons for skiing and have a tubing park as well. Staff are great and they have a general cafeteria, a bar, ski rental shop and a gift shop. Definitely give King Pine a look if you are planning any day or night skiing!

Excellent place to go for beginner alpine skiing. Plenty of low-grade winding trails to improve novice skill, as well as some more advanced trails if you are working on advanced technique. Set up for lunch was efficient and the food was fresh. Highly recommend

I grew up at this mountain and have skiied and snowboarded here for over 20 years. I am not particularly fond of the name change, as this will always be Shawnee Peak to me. I was happy to see so many upgrades and renovations with the new chairlift, bathrooms, snack shack, etc. I will say that sometimes we noticed that it would be helpful to have a staff member directing traffic to get onto the lifts. The night skiing was not great, pretty icy. Otherwise a great mountain for beginners and intermediates.

Lovely mountain! I like most things about it, but I find it weird just how much they upcharge you for ordering at the window. I got my lift ticket on the website for $55 and my friend got hers at the window for 80 something dollars. I get wanting to give people a discount for ordering online ahead of time but it's a bit of a nasty surprise for some people to get to the window and find out they're paying (in my opinion) ALOT more just because they may have wanted to be spontaneous that day.

Very beautiful scenic rides up the mountain. Just a strong warning..DO NOT TAKE THE SKI LIFT IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!!

Pleasant Mt is the most family friendly, high service, beautifully challenging, fun ski resort in New England! Pleasant is a real gem of a resort offering a superb winter experience day or night and a must see and experience family resort... check it out, you're family deserves it!

Fun place and very well kept. Small food court has grab and go food that was surprisingly very good and reasonably priced. Got a sausage smothered in peppers and onions for $7. I would give this place 5 stars if I won money....but I didn't so they get 4 stars.

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton inn across the street and wanted to grab a couple of drinks and an appetizer after a long day to relax. We go to the restaurant and get seated in a booth. Both my husband and I ask for an espresso martini with a tiny splash of Baileys. When we received the cocktails we both noticed they were extremely creamy and it practically tasted like a White Russian. We decided to send the cocktails back, which is something we NEVER do and felt terrible for doing. I believe that is what set off the whole experience. We receive our espresso martinis, which tasted great as well as the food. we mentioned we might get another round of drinks. A little bit later the manager comes to our table asking if “anyone told us the alcohol policy” and we politely said no. She said that we can only have one drink every 30 minutes, especially if we’re playing games in the casino. My husband and i weren’t planning on playing any games In the casino. the manager ends up coming back to our table. My husband asked if the alcohol policy was true because we couldn’t find it anywhere on the website or online. The manager immediately started getting defensive/aggressive with us and and said “I know what I’m talking about, I’m the food and beverage manager” etc. etc.. my husband asked in the most polite way because he also works in food and beverage and understands how the work place can go. We decided to just get our check and leave. This was the most discouraging and terrible experience we’ve ever had. I feel like we were treated poorly for asking for a new drink. We also felt like the manager was lying to us About the 1 drink policy every 30 minutes being maine state law. If that is the policy it needs to be posted somewhere and not just told to us by an aggressively upset manager.

After some research I found out this casino has their RTP set somewhere between 89.5-94.5. If you look around for the right slots you have a good chance winning more than you think. Play was fun, none smoking which is very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks for the fun time.

I absolutely love this casino. The rules on the low limit and high limit blackjack tables are wonderful for the player. The staff was there is wonderful. Some of the dealers were new and slower but not too bad. The slots are fun but table games are where its at. I traveled from out of state and really enjoyed myself. I am looking forward to returning soon. Next time I will have to stay in a room. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was ID at the door. Good thing I planned to play rated anyways.

I was pleasantly surprised by the casino and the rooms. The machines were great! Played for hours . The rooms were nice and roomy. Dinner was nice and the drinks were really good. Definitely going back soon!

We make it up to the casino in Oxford, Me 3-4 times a year. We have a timeshare in Ogunquit which allows us close proximity at only about 1 hour away. The hotel rooms are very nice and clean and the hotel staff are always pleasant and cordial in making reservations. My wife and I are "casino go-ers" so our 2-nite stay rooms are generally "comped" due to play but rates are reasonable. There is a wide variety of the latest slot games and many table game options. There is only one restraunt on the with premises but the food is good in the $25-$40 price range however there are many local restraunts nearby and breakfast at Daddy O's is a must.! We always make fall one of our destination times as the foliage in Sept/Oct is breathtaking.

My husband and I recently stayed at the hotel for his birthday. The rooms are very clean the staff very friendly and helpful.We ate at the Pub the food was good and the service was great. A day after we left we discovered we had left my husband shirts in the closet.i called the hotel and Brittany got back to immediately they found the shirts and could ship them to us....so very impressed with the service and the honest integrity of the staff..highly recommend and we will be visiting again soon

Awesome place! We love all the animals, but the fact that they are rescue animals is even cooler! We had a great visit. First time I have been face to face with a Moose, They are huge! We saw so many animals and birds, bears, you name it. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Very well maintained Park, nice, clean and well laid out. Tickets were very reasonable too. If you enjoy wildlife and a nice walk through nature. This place is a must visit!

This place is such a fun and educational experience—we absolutely love it! There's plenty of parking, a convenient snack shack, bathrooms, and tons of picnic tables where you can enjoy your lunch. The animals were either rescued due to injuries or being orphaned, and now they have a safe, loving home. You can really tell they're well cared for and content. It’s a wonderful spot for all ages to learn, explore, and connect with nature!

This Park is AMAZING! We always have a great time when we go. Our recent visit was right around noon and all of the critters just got their lunches. so we were able to see every animal! The small critters eating veggies was the cutest thing ever.

Thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Maine Wildlife Park! The animals are here because of being unable to be released into the wild for a variety of reasons. It is not a zoo! It is a place for these animals to live well, in a simulation of their natural life, in a manner that we can visit and learn more about them, engage in a manner not possible in the wild. This said, be prepared to see them sleeping thru the heat of the day! Or not necessarily out and about visible! Here are my tips to get the best views of these wild animals...acting like wild animals should. Be quiet! If you want to see them, and they aren't visible, sit quietly for awhile, often they will show themselves, start poking their heads out if its quiet and you are relaxed/ seated/ non threatening vibe about you. The park is set up well for children with places to sit, snack, rest, inside displays/ educational displays etc. There is a lot of tree shade and structures with shade to get kids and babies out of sun/ heat/ rest etc. There are good, clean, bathrooms as well. The grounds are very nice to walk! Walkways have nice walking surface, shaded by trees, places to sit down. I visited while recovering from serious knee injury/ in a brace. The walking surface and seats were perfect therapy for my knee AND delightful day out! It's suitable for those with mobility challenges and you would be able to get around in a wheel chair or scooter in my opinion. There are snacks and drinks available to buy. Lovely gift shop with lots of tempting items!!!. Ample parking that has tree shade and grassy areas if you want to bring picnic with you and just sit of the grass in the shade. There are also picnic tables under shade inside the park. My impression is week days, even in summer, are not very crowded. I can't speak to weekends, as I've never been on a weekend. Regarding tickets, I just showed up on a weekday and had no problem buying a ticket, no lines etc. However, I think its wise, if you are planning to drive there, have kids and family coordinating for a visit> buy your tickets ahead of time to play it safe. I've never gone on the weekend, guessing best to buy tickets ahead to avoid hassles and disappointments!

This our second year coming here. This year was better than last year. More animals were awake walking around wasn’t very crowded kids under a certain age are free adults I believe are $10. They have a picnic area where they have grills tables etc. they also have a section where the fish are and you can feed them. Just make sure u bring quarters for the fish food.

I joined my son’s school for a field trip, and we had a great time! I love that it’s just a nice walk through the woods and it takes just a couple hours to get through everything if you take your time. The park was so clean! There’s even a little gift shop and a place to grab some snacks. Don’t forget quarters to feed the fish!

I’m from Ca and really wanted to see a moose so we found this awesome wildlife park and got to see one he came really close and was actually laughing. The other animals were fun as well. Saw a porcupine climb the fence of his enclosure and watched the raccoons playing.

Saw the Fiddle Experience here. What a great little venue. The sound was fantastic. The drinks were cold. The ushers were polite and very helpful. Do not hesitate to attend an event at the Rochester Opera House.

Every year they show up in such a positive energy for a fun might for both the bands and more importantly, the patrons who come to this amazing venue. Its an absolute privilege to be able to work with every single person at Rochester Opera House. Thank you to Anthony and Kelly and all the team who support the arts!

Be aware, the Opera is located in the City Hall building next to the Police Station. There is plenty of parking behind. Beautiful venue with an incredible "moving floor" , unique mechanism that raises orchestra floor at an incline for amphitheatre seating and levels the floor for dancing. We went to Salsa night with a live band and were impressed with the building and staff working that night.

We went to see Annie. The cast was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the performance! Will definitely go to more shows!

We saw The Great American Trailer Park Musical... It ended with a standing ovation preceded by so many laughs and the building of a bunch of new memories for my friends and I to share. This venue is great and the staff friendly and fun. I highly recommend attending this play specifically, but I am confident anything at this venue is well worth the ticket price. :) Make More :) and Less :( ... Was in the Handicap section and the seats weren't super comfy but hey it did the job. The auditorium is fairly spacious and there's concessions with booze. 2 levels, but I never passed the first. Audio was perfect and there isn't a seat too far from the stage. And the comedy show was great!

It’s such a unique spot—you don’t expect to find a sandy desert in the middle of Maine! The visitor center was welcoming, and the trails were well-marked with interesting signs explaining the history and geology. We enjoyed the mix of walking paths, art installations, and learning about how the “desert” formed. It’s a fun stop for both adults and kids, and it only takes a couple of hours to explore. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the Freeport area.

This place is truly magical! It's like stepping into a dream! I mean, I attached a picture of the view from the bed. How does it get any better?!? We rented the geodesic dome and IT WAS PERFECT!! It's amazing how they thought of EVERYTHING! I am already planning our next trip back here. (The wife wants to build one for our retirement house!) Thank you for such an amazing birthday weekend for my wife and I. Can't wait to come back!

This place is amazing! Not only is the campground top-notch impressive, but the desert area is so well done! I highly recommend a stop here and a stay in the campground. High quality facility! My friend and I were wishing we had our grandsons with us for the desert activities.

Obsessed with this place! Insanely peaceful and beautiful! We stayed at the campground, haven 1, it was spacious, clean and cozy. And the actual desert was so cool! Great history and so many cool activities for families!

We came for the camping and stayed for the mini golf. This is by far one of the best areas around to camp with a bit of luxury if you can afford it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cabins and large tents are nicer than hotel rooms but still give you a feel that you’re connected to nature. We couldn’t afford a cabin but they look super cool. I think we still made out better with a tent, it’s just as luxurious plus it feels more like camping and the top of the tent is clear so you have an awesome view of the sky at night. Airflow is good, plus there is an oscillating fan. If you can’t take the summer heat the cabins win with built-in air-conditioners (I believe I read that, don’t quote me). You have wi-fi, electricity, mini-fridge, lighting, and personal bathrooms in the cabins, the tents have access to one of the cleanest, nicest campgrounds bathrooms + showers I’ve ever seen. Firepits (with built-in grill) and nice adirondack chairs come with every campground. There are some free activities in the public space like a big connect-4 game, ring/hoop toss and horse shoes. All the other campers we met were friendly and laid back. Quiet hours are strictly enforced (from what I can tell but we didn’t have to test that). It was super quiet at 10pm-8am. Even with a fairly full house the camp sites are spread out enough so you can see your neighbors but don’t feel like you’re crowded. There isn’t allot else to do on the campgrounds but tons of great hiking spots 5 min away by car; like wolfs neck trails. Cons: The cleaning fee is $50 which is understandable, and they were done in time to let us check-in early at 1pm. The room looked beautiful, only very minor nit-picking the keurig coffee machine tank was a little dirty and the tea pot had some water left in it and needed a cleaning. I texted the staff and they immediately brought a new coffee machine just to minimize the inconvenience and fix the issue. I only mention it because for the premium price of these cabins plus the room cleaning fee , I would expect the made would have been thorough. Again this is minor and the staff more than made up for it. The mini golf is cool and priced fairly reasonably; plus if you’re camping you can get 15% off. With that said, for the price of camping I think mini golf should be thrown in or at least 50% off. Notes: we brought some sparklers for the kids to use, the staff said they are not allowed. Bummer, seems a bit strict but I get it. In the campgrounds there is a kiosk open 24/7 you can buy firewood, drinks and some snacks with cash, credit card or touch-pay. Really a nice feature.

We had a great time playing mini golf with our daughter, her husband and kiddos, age 5 and 2 oa Friday late afternoon. The playground is super fun, I enjoyed the tree house/fort and I am old! Even went on the Seesaw with my daughter and granddaughter! The mini golf is quite challenging and full of fun features. Grounds are very clean and well taken care of. Lots of shade which is a plus. They have incorporated the history of the area and the desert into the mini golf. There's a food concession, that even had wine/beer. We got some ice cream which was delicious. We'll certainly be back, next time have to check out the desert.

We stayed 2 nights at Desert of Maine, our first night was in a glamping tent and our second in one of the A frame cozy cabins. Both experiences were phenomenal!! The cleanliness, abundance of accommodations, and customer service were beyond what I could’ve ever imagined. The luxury feel and cozy decor of each stay made you feel like you were in a walking Pinterest board. We loved the camp store and used it quite a lot for wood as it was cold during our stay, it was super user friendly and had s’mores kits too!! Not to mention the owner Doug did me a huge favor, I left my ID in WV and Doug was so gracious to allow me to have it overnighted to his personal home where he then dropped it off at our tent. If I’m ever visiting Maine again I will be returning to Desert of Maine!!

A lovely space, great for families, excellent snacks and the pizzas were top tier with a delicious base and well cooked. The highest is clearly the beer. Lunch/Dinner are well known in the beer community, super clean and delicious. If you are travelling past Portland this is a place you really need to visit for a quick refresher. Good merchandise too!

Came to Freeport just for the Maine Beer Company! Greeted warmly and sat at a table with a menu. We ordered up at the bar - boyfriend got a beer tasting and I got a Strawberry Moon cocktail and a pretzel to share! They have a food menu with a good amount & some pizza - we didn’t get but looked good! Indoor (upstairs & downstairs) & outdoor seating, great gift shop (where we picked up a lot of gifts!), spot to grab some beer to bring home in 6 & 12 packs. Really awesome place, can’t wait to come back!

We knew we liked the beer - Lunch is a family favorite - but until today we didn't know how good the food was! Our party of 4 ordered one cheese pizza, one with sausage and Calabrian chiles, plus the veggie "sandwich" and we took leftovers home from everything. The sandwich is a whole Neapolitan style pizza crust cooked and wrapped around an incredible mix of cheese, roasted veggies, and dressed lettuce shreds that is one of the best vegetarian meals I've had in a long time. A Wolfe's Neck IPA complemented everything nicely. The atmosphere is great, staff is friendly, food and drink are unimpeachable, and to top it off they were donating 20% of food sales to a mental health organization. We'll be back soon, and often.

Beautiful space.. They definitely put thought into the design and details. Love the stories and the conservation.. The beers I tried were decent. The help was great. Food was fabulous.

A staple go to while in Freeport. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and of course, amazing beer. They have their staple Lunch IPA as well as rotating options. Post ride snack is a session IPA which I really enjoyed. Their pizza is delicious as well! They have crumble sausage toppings which I personally love!

Great spot in Freeport!! One of our favorite breweries through our trip to Portland and Bar Harbor! Space was exceptionally clean, beer was the best we had, and pizza was amazing! They also don’t accept tips - only donations which I think is super cool and rare. They have it down pat here, gonna miss it!

A hostess stand greets you when you walk through the doors, with a host or hostess that is required to seat you...in a brewery. Picnic tables are your seating options and a small food menu. Orders must be placed at the bar so get in line. If you want bottles to go, there's another bar set up with a large refrigerator behind it that has the available brews. You stand there and wait for someone to come over. In my case I waited 5 minutes or so and no one came. They delivered our pizza to the table so I went back to the table. Pizza was good, and you can't go wrong with Lunch on tap. When we finished our meal, I went back to the bottled beer spot, two people working it at this time so I placed my order. Lady behind the bar couldn't locate our tab, stated we must have closed it, which we didn't. She eventually found it in their system. Closed our tab and left. On the way out they have a little merch room, just past that is an outdoor patio with seating, and where dogs are allowed. Big parking lot which I am sure fills very fast. 3 stars because this place was cold, physically and from just about each staff we interacted with were indifferent or a tad haughty. Very uncomfortable. I won't go back again. Miss the days before they expanded, when it felt more local, more friendly and you hoped the pretzel lady had made a delivery and there was still a pretzel left to go with your beer. Sometimes bigger is not better. The beer is great though. I'll buy it in the store and skip the brewery.

A nice place to spend a morning or afternoon in the city. Super cool exhibits along with a historic home. The building itself is quite stunning as well! Could easily spend 1-2 hours here. They have discounts for students, youth, and seniors!

I really enjoyed the Portland Museum of Art. It’s a manageable size, which makes it perfect for a casual visit without getting museum fatigue. The first floor has some real gems, including an impressive Whistler and a few stunning works by Sargent. There are also a few Monets that kind of sneak up on you with how peaceful and luminous they are. The whole space feels welcoming, thoughtfully arranged, and not too crowded. It’s a great little cultural break if you’re spending time in Portland.

This museum is in the heart of beautiful downtown Portland Maine. Great adventures short walk through the city to get there. The staff is just wonderful and very informative. Fabulous works of art. 1 of My favorite was the marble statue of our 18th president Ulysses S Grant. It's a must see for all art lovers. I'm looking forward to going back.

A classic modern build US art museum, architecturally pleasant and well thought out. Cafe and shop. Not cheap to enter. Art is mainly contemporary or modern. None of it great but little is poor. Some I would call folk art. Much of it is interesting. All labelling is achingly woke, and certainly not objective, as befits Portland's status. Beware of large quantities of street sleepers in the area throughout the day. The locals just pretend they are not there since it conflicts with their perception of the place as a liberal heaven.

The real deal- I had a rainy afternoon before a flight, and finally decided to check this museum out, I had passed by several times before. It's surprisingly well-curated, small enough if you wanted to linger over every display in the place you could, but also something you could enjoy in an hour without feeling like you skipped too much. The surprise for me was that museums in smaller cities can be hit or miss, but this one is easily on par with big city collections (just on a small scale). There's public spaces to linger, a variety of art including some loaned masterworks, fun gallery designs that separate the people moving through so it doesn't feel crowded. Regional artists and themes are also well represented. The museum was founded in the late 1800s, so it's not a newcomer- adding to the pedigree is an affiliated art school, and for us visitors, that also means a cool cafe culture in the immediate area- be sure to get your caffeine fix in the area.

We visited on a late Saturday afternoon in mid-June 2025. We arrived with only about 2 hrs before the museum closed. Parking was a bit tricky but we found street parking about a block away. We were prepared to use our NARM (North American Reciprocal Museum) Membership discount which included 2 free adults and kids under 21 are free. BUT It was the Pride Portland Open House. Free Admission All Day 10-6PM. There had a bunch of decorations inside and outside. They had free candies and other merch too. It was cool and very rainbow. When you walk in there was a security guard and a info table to the left. The museum gift shop was just further back on the left. The gift shop was a fairly large size and had some really cool items for sale. The layout was a little confusing but I've been to way more complicated art museums. This one was actually a little bigger than I thought. We started on the main floor we entered in and went all the way to the back of the museum. There were a number of themed rooms back here. I did get scolded by a staff member about taking photos in a section that didn't allow photos. To be fair the no photography signs were TINY and a little symbol on the info plaques for those pieces. I did complain that no one would see that. They told me it was because those pieces were on loan to the museum and with specific instructions that they are not to be photographed as it would decrease their value. Sounds dumb to me but I'm not the owner. There is a large outdoor sculpture area but you have to enter it from the outside of the museum. The front desk lady said we could walk outside afterwards to visit it but that came to bite us in the butt because with 15 mins before closing we decided to head outside to see it and the gate was locked. We went back inside and the lady said oh, the staff must've locked it up early. Sorry... big eye roll... Anyways we went upstairs and there were 3 floors up and a basement I well I think. The other floors were great with art of all type. There were a ton of very colorful pieces which I thought was very fitting for pride month. There are some awesome sculptures on the top floor included what the kids dubbed "seal torpedo". Also the diamond stag like Harry Potter's Patronus. We did take the elevator up and then the stairs back down which were hilarious as there were tons of birds and seagulls hanging from the ceiling and there was a giant window covered in bird poop. I don't know if that was on purpose or not. All the way in the basement there is a small cafe shop. There was no one there and we were not sure if they were open or not. The bathrooms and water fountains are also in the basement. There weren't very many people in the museum honestly. We only saw 5 or 6 groups the ENTIRE time. Overall it was a great visit and we'd definitely visit again. Especially if the price is FREE. It was nice to have the museum mostly to ourselves. Most the other ones we visited on our road trip was SUPER packed. We sort of saw everything in those 2 hrs we were there (minus the outside sculptures) and had time to shop the gift shop. We did run through pretty quickly. I think 3 hrs would've been perfect and we have 3 kids. One of which is ADHD and we survived.

If you have 2 hrs to spare, why not stroll through the halls of this museum of art. My favorite painting is one of tattered boats overcoming the elements in the aftermath of the storm. I don't understand the contemporary arts but I guess I don't have the eyes for them.

Nice little historical home in Portland. House was been renovated when we arrived so the front was largely in construction. The inside was well maintained and the docents were very knowledgeable and friendly. It is walkable from most of the hotels downtown and by the harbor which was good as there was only street parking. There is a nice little gift shop as well. 2 friendly mainecoons prowl the ground.

Must do a tour! An eye opening view into the rich history of a home built by true craftsmanship and finished by artists. Each wall is hand painted with exquisitely detail. House is completely furnished with all furnishings original to the house - not the era - original to the home when built. With the price of admission to see the home as well as the furnishings. A very knowledgeable volunteer staff provides in depth information on each room and explains the history of the families which owned it and artistry of the build. Home was built in two years!

This was a lovely mansion located close to the Old Port. It's standouts were the ceilings and glass inserts on the doors and windows. Its an hour guided tour. The docent was very informative and friendly. We toured the first two floors. The mansion was well kept. It was fun and interesting.

Victoria Mansion blew me away with its incredible Italianate design and rich details. The soaring tower, intricate woodwork, and stained-glass skylight are just breathtaking. Inside, nearly everything is original—furnishings, artwork, and even the heating system! Our guide, Tom, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the mansion’s history. He really brought each room to life. If you're into historic architecture or interior design, this place is a must-see. Truly inspiring.

When searching for things to do in Portland, we came across this. It is definitely worth a visit, as it is a Victorian mansion that you can view almost all of. All of the workers were very knowledgeable and friendly, and it was really neat to be able to see the main floor and the upstairs. The third floor was closed due to fire codes, but we saw a lot more than what you usually get to when you see an old house.

Fantastic experience with a guided tour. Victorian Maine is encapsulated in this mansion where you can learn about the families who lived here and see some beautiful woodwork, plaster work and Victorian housewares and furnishings. The gift shop is well-curated with whimsical gifts. A show stopper is seeing Roofie, one of the loveable mascots 🐈 They are renovating the exterior but it does not affect the tour inside. Small wait in the gift shop for the guided tour to begin, but not a big deal.

We loved visiting this authentic estate. Very unique house and history. Our young tour guy was very knowledgeable and answered almost all of our questions.

There’s something magical about Portland’s Commercial Street and Wharf Street at night. The cobblestone paths, bathed in the warm glow of string lights, make you feel like you’ve stepped into another era. Music drifts softly from tucked-away cafes, mingling with the scent of fresh espresso and the occasional note of cannabis from quirky little spots like Higher Grounds. It’s the kind of place where you wander without a plan—pausing for creamy gelato, lingering over a glass of wine, or settling into a corner to watch the world pass by. The brick buildings hold the city’s maritime history, the flowers spill color over wrought-iron railings, and every bend reveals a cozy nook. Commercial Street and Wharf Street aren’t just places—they’re a vibe. A little romantic, a little bohemian, and absolutely perfect for a night of slow strolling, easy conversation, and making memories you’ll want to relive again and again.

Plenty of options for eating and souvenir shopping. We were expecting a more scenic experience of an actual port .. our bad on that. Basically it's walking up the street and down the street. So we were a little disappointed.

A great area to explore, shop, dine, enjoy with family and friends. Right across from the harbor, views are gorgeous. The alleyway behind commercial street is lined with great little spots to eat or grab a drink.

The view is just breathtaking. Such a picture perfect place. We got some amazing pictures. Lots of place around for the kids to play. Paid parking We visited first week of October. Make sure to go around sunset and you get amazing photos when the light hits the water.

I visited the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth on a beautiful Friday evening, and it truly lived up to its reputation as one of Maine’s most breathtaking landmarks. The panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean with waves crashing against the rugged cliffs was absolutely stunning, a perfect spot for photos, quiet reflection, or simply taking in the coastal beauty. Parking was very reasonable at $6 for 2 hours, and there was plenty of space when I arrived. The park closes sharply at 5 PM, so it’s best to plan your visit earlier in the afternoon if you want enough time to explore and enjoy the scenery. Despite being a popular attraction, it wasn’t crowded during my visit, which made it even more peaceful. The historical significance of this lighthouse adds so much character. Built in 1791, it’s the oldest lighthouse in Maine, and you can feel that sense of heritage as you walk around the surrounding Fort Williams Park. The nearby museum gives a quick but insightful peek into its past, from guiding early ships to serving as a symbol of maritime resilience. Overall, Portland Head Light is a must-visit serene, scenic, and rich with history. I walked away feeling both relaxed and inspired, watching the sunset cast a golden glow across the lighthouse and the sea.

Such a wonderful lighthouse with BEAUTIFUL views. There is a small museum with admission only being a couple dollars per person and it is very worth it. So much history there, it’s fascinating. The trails were maintained and plenty of parking. Several food and coffee trucks scattered throughout the grounds as well.

Beautiful views! Parking is plenty, but the light house area is quite a walk from parking - BUT this little spot in the world is so beautiful!! There are food trucks in several areas in this park - we tried the blueberry pie ice cream and the black raspberry ice cream truck near the light house and it was AMAZING! There is a small fee for parking, but the parking meters are easily accessible. There are porta-potties near the parking area.

I don’t even know where to start — Portland Head Light did not disappoint! The scenery was absolutely amazing. My husband, our toddler, and I wandered around for a few hours just taking in the views and snapping tons of photos. Our little one was thrilled watching all the boats out in the bay. It was so fun to see everyone enjoying the beauty of this place. If you’re in the area, take the time to go check it out, it’s 100% worth it!

This is a lovely light House outside of Portland in Cape Elizabeth. If you have a car you can drive there and pay for parking. There is a public bus that will take you half way but you will have to walk 45 minutes the rest of the way. Your best bet would be Uber or Lyft. Its not much going ($15) but double the price ($41) returning. It takes about 15 minutes. Reception is very bad there also so it'll take a while for a signal. You may want to reserve an Uber back. It's worth it for the views. There is also a cliff walk and Fort Williams. The Lighthouse museum is $2 located in the Lighthouse keeper's house. They also have a short tour conducted by a park ranger at 11:00am. They have three food trucks located in the park. It should take about 4-5 hours.

Beautiful lighthouse! The wind was really strong and chilly here even on a sunny day in the second week of October. You can walk along the coastal trail to see various views of the lighthouse.

The Cliff walk is closed indefinitely. Even to locals who live there because the storm in January made several places impassable. A woman died falling there two years ago. It’s a sad loss for all. The black point road is also closed at the inn because the road is literally falling into the sea after the storm. That should be repaired by next year. The town is working on it.

We paid to park at the beach, walked the beach to get there, and then were blocked from walking it by an older gentleman. There was an unofficial sign that was laminated that said "path closed today". The man had on a yellow flagging vest on and a clipboard, he told us that it was closed due to erosion. But when we went back to the beach and told the person taking money at the beach, they said they hadn't heard about the erosion, and weren't notified of anything from the police. And from talking to someone else, supposedly the gated community that lives near the cliff walk, doesn't want hikers near their houses. So, we think we were scammed into thinking there were dangerous conditions and this man was just paid to stand there looking official to keep tourists away. There was no official state or police sign, and this person stood in our way and basically threatened us from walking on the path. We tried to walk it on a Saturday.

This on the cliff walk website: “No bikes or wheeled vehicles are allowed on the Cliff Walk. No unattended bikes are to be left by the entrance area.” So you must walk to this spot from the public beaches or somehow carry your bike with you along the rocky trail.

There is no public parking, so there is no way to access this trail unless you live in the area, or park at the beach ($9 a person for out of state residents) a mile or two down the road and then hike to the trail.

Beautiful, but you do need to bike to it. No parking!

This walk is CLOSED. If it does re-open there is NO PARKING.

We were visiting from out of town and my 9 year old son who is a train enthusiast heard about this place from a local, so we decided to give it a go. The history here that you can touch and learn about is amazing. We rode the trolley to the park and back and them explored the trolley sheds. They have some very unique pieces at this location. Afterward we went in and toured the museum and gift shop. They also had a very nice large model railroad in one of the other buildings. All in all we spent about 2hrs here and could easily have spent more. There is an entrance fee, but you get to do everything off the one ticket. Parking was pretty easy when we were there, but they do have overflow lots so they may get much busier during certain days/times. Worth the visit if you are interested in the history of the local area or are just into trains and trolleys!

Excellent museum, rideable trains are super fun. Being able to stand on the observation deck of the machine shop was delightful. I loved seeing the progress of the restoration projects. The miniature train display is a work of art, and still in progress. I was pleasantly surprised with the collection of busses available for exploration as well. I look forward to seeing the plans for that exhibit. The staff are knowledgeable, funny, and kind. I sincerely hope the museum continues expanding, it's a historical hidden gem of the northeast.

Quite the place! Had a wonderful time on two refurbished train cars that were over 100 years old. We enjoyed two 40 min rides around the property and into the woods. The conductors on board talk a little bit of the history of the cars in about different historic places you can see at the museum. There is one building where they physically work on and refurb the cars, and there’s other building where they just store old train cars. Majority of the cars that are in the storage shed areas you can walk in and get a feel for them, there was some that were also double-decker buses! Old and rustic. There’s other junkyards that have old school cata buses, along with old T lines, ex. Red and Blue line. Also go and check out the model railway trains building that’s across the parking lot from the main museum entrance. It’s all volunteer service, folks will bringing their trains in and run them around all the tracks. Quite a fun place if you like really old train models, and even take a ride on some of the oldest railway cars! It’s amazing how they remodel and keep them in good shape, and they even run off of just electric! FYI for the train rides, you need to purchase tickets for the ride, but one ticket is good for as many train rides as you want. The train rides are 40 minutes long, And every train ride goes off every 45 minutes. Come and enjoy a few hours at this cute little train museum. A fun family activity. Super cute museum, pretty small. The train ticket is $15 per head for a half an hour drive. The train is 120 years old! The gift shop is has some cute items as well. We got to ride the pump car as well!! I was looking forward to rail biking but they have this closed it.

Wonderful jewel of a place. I've been taking groups here for 17 years, the experience is always pleasant. Everyone is helpful, kind, knowledgeable and professional. It's a chance to go back in time. The museum is well maintained with plenty to do and discover. Going on the trolley ride never gets old. Fun for all ages and the museum gift shop and new diorama exhibit are a delight as well. Featured are the residents of the Wardwell in Saco. We were there today and had a great visit.

Nice place for the family to go to,a lot of history about the old trolley systems in Boston and in New Hampshire. Also, an HO model Railroad club has a huge model. Railroad layout replicating the white mountains in North Conway down to the sea coast.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time here! The staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We took the trolley ride and perused their trolley collection.

This beach was so beautiful. The whitecaps were perfectly patterned against the backdrop of the coastline and were so refreshing to play around in. This beach was one of the cleanest I've ever seen, and the water was pristine. It was busy but not overwhelming.

The beach is nice. The parking is 15$. There’s a beach side and a kind of pond that’s a bit warmer with no waves, also big rocks on the right of the beach, and nice waves, but the water is cold. Overall nice variety and view, with bathrooms and lifeguards.

Wonderful time with my family. I love the cold, clear Atlantic. We missed Maine almost right away. One of the most beautiful stares I've ever seen.

We visited Ogunquit Beach on a Sunday in October and couldn’t have been more happily surprised! The tide was low, which made it absolutely perfect for our two little girls to run and play. They loved chasing seagulls across the wide stretch of wet sand and splashing around in the shallow pools formed by the tide. It was so beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of space to spread out. Flying a kite was a highlight, and watching the girls run free in such a safe, open area was wonderful. It turned into such a fun family day—Ogunquit Beach is definitely a gem, even in the off-season!

The BEST beach. Amazing beach, cold crisp clear water .. amazing river side for exploring- and loads of beach area for playing in the sand or small tide pools. If you her hungry there is plenty of food near by or a short walk up town. Favorite beach by far especially if you have kids who love to swim and explore.

What a spot! We visited in winter so there was plenty of parking in the lot and no one at the gate collecting money. We were hoping to find sea glass but definitely not a sea glass spot. It is an absolutely beautiful beach with tons of space and we really enjoyed watching the waves. We saw several dogs on the beach too.

The first show I saw here was 'Singing in the Rain' oh my gosh - such a grand show!! Then I attended the Davinci Code, which was also great, in a different way. The Playhouse is clean, staff is friendly, parking is a dream - so efficient. Cannot wait to go again! Maine, here I come! Just saw their new show 5/29/25. Amazing!!! Hoping to go back to see Titanic later this season. Next year, I think I will get season tickets, worth it for sure.

My wife watched her grandparents go to this theatre 70+ years ago. She said she'd go one day. I'm pleased to report she finally made it. They've obviously kept up and improved technology. The seating is very spacious. Sound is excellent. Technology for the stage is up to date. The show was excellent too

The Ogunquit Playhouse is a gem! At 93 years old, it’s full of history and charm, and our aisle seats (rows N & O, left side) had a perfect view. Elvis Meets the Beatles was high-energy, fun, and superbly performed, with colorful sets and a great storyline. A fabulous night in a legendary theater! Elvis was spot on. Little Richard was fantastic The Journalist Chris was convincing and the Beatles were entertaining.

Excellent production- grateful to watch a beautiful show excellent pricing and seating! Staff was super helpful and friendly which was so much appreciated. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say "I'll be back!" ~Sillygirl

From the first moment we entered the carlot, to the final trip to the head after the show, we felt cared for and cared about. The show "Come from Away" was excellent! Set, costumes, casting, lighting, sound design and (particularly) the "subtitles" were all so good as to allow me to immerse myself in the plot of the show while I fondly remembered being Screeched-in in 2017! Welcome to the Rock!

Great place. We saw "When Elvis Met The Beatles ". Great show. Had a really enjoyable time.

High Society play was amazing. I thought we were on Broadway in New York City. This id6a must see play. The actors are great. This is by far the best play we have seen in Ogunquit.

Touristy but cool. Take a sailboat with captain Jack on the Silverlining. He’s super cool and the boat is a classic.

I ordered some bulk live lobsters from the lobster shack, while picking up my order and I parked in the loading zone with my car and a 50 gallon cooler, the municipality gave me a parking ticket for parking in a loading zone, The police department said if it was a commercial transaction that it would be allowed, I own a commercial business but I bought lobsters we could play the word game but I was trying to be honest and they were not very receptive.

A quaint little sea side town. Sure, it’s mostly a tourist trap with all the shops, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t super fun and that I couldn’t find cute things. The smell of the ocean is amazing, and all the boats are amazing to watch folks work. Worth the visit. Plus, leads to the gorgeous Marginal Way.

Beautiful spot!

Finally! I didn't have to be stuck in traffic in the summer to visit! I walked the Marginal Way trail from Stearns Rd, which isn't very far. Enjoyable short walk around the Cove and across the bridge. Nice views of the ocean 🌊 and the fishing 🎣 vessels. I'm not certain how much parking 🅿️ is, but, space is limited and there is a parking 🅿️ meter to pay. Public restrooms available. Restaurants and shoppes to check out. I only visited a cafe since my time was limited. Go off season, end 🔚 of April, to avoid the crowds and go early.

Nice groups of shops, but parking is a night mare.

This place is really nice. Take the walk on marginal way and end up at this cove full of shops and restaurants.

This park is dope. They bring really good rising acts that people should know about during their summer concert series. They also do a good production each summer with some mediocre cast but they try. They also hold an acting camp for the kiddos. I’d bring a blanket here & have a picnic or you can just stroll through the flower garden. Beautiful place for real. 10/10 I’m always back.

We visited during our weekend getaway in Portsmouth, NH, and were blown away by how beautiful and peaceful it is. The gardens are perfectly maintained, full of vibrant flowers and lovely walking paths right along the water. It’s such a relaxing spot to stroll, sit on a bench, or just take in the views of the harbor and nearby bridge. It’s also conveniently close to downtown, so it’s easy to grab a coffee or lunch nearby and enjoy it in the park. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or live nearby, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the charm of Portsmouth. Can’t wait to come back in the summer for one of the concerts or outdoor shows!

I absolutely love this place. I'm a PCA/CCMA and I bring a couple clients here to walk around and take in the beautiful gardens and water fountains. When ever the landscaper's are around we ask the history of the gardens (even though I remember...lol) my client's enjoy hearing it from them and interact with them. The workers love telling us about their hard work and they are very proud of what they have all have accomplished. As they should be. Absolute Beauty!!!

This is an excellent place to visit for history and culture in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The buildings are well preserved, and it’s really fun to walk around and visit all of the buildings and see the exhibits inside. It’s definitely a must see for the history of the city. The buildings are very old from the 1700s and 1800s, and some of the buildings feature period actors. There are employees at many buildings to answer your questions, and everyone was very friendly.

This place is really something special. I had an idea of what to expect from their website, but man it is so much more if you take the time to really absorb it all and learn about everything there. Such a wild and rich history in this area.

Great time! You can spend a couple of hours but we spent all day here! So many diverse aspects of historical events, people, the trials and tribulations of settlers and indigenous natives of this area, and more. Well worth the admission! And if you’re a Baby Boomer, don’t miss the 1940’s corner grocery store and its proprietor, nor the WW2 multiple displays and recordings of the sacrifices made, and the impact on Americans during that time; as well as the victory garden.

Amazing neighborhood preserved as it was from its first inception. Only one structure has been moved. Most buildings were homes and had multiple owners and modifications through the years. Beginning in early 1600 through the late 1950's families lived here together. Theuseum has done a fantastic job of preservation through time.

I visited the Strawberry Banke Museum with my sister and brother-in-law the other day and we were all completely amazed and thrilled with the quality of the historic buildings in the historic neighborhood. I visit a lot of historic sites and I have to say this is one of my favorites and I became a member so that we can go whenever we would like. It was truly like taking a step back into history and the knowledge that one can gain there is limitless. I am so thankful that people had the foresight to preserve this beautiful neighborhood for those of us to enjoy many years later! I had been planning on visiting the museum for years and I am so thankful I finally made it happen. I can’t encourage people enough to go visit if it has been in one’s plans. I can guarantee that you won’t leave disappointed and your life will be enriched from the experience. I can’t wait to go back again! It truly is a wonderful piece of history and a true gift to society!

If you are anywhere near Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Strawberry Banke Museum is a must see! Staff excellent, gardens beautiful, and exhibits very interesting and some interactive!

Arrived at about 2:30, an hour and a half before they close. We were told immediately that we would have time to go through all the houses but that they would be closing up in a little over an hour. No problem. We were sent to a room with some other folks to wait for an orientation about the site and to get a map. Waited around for 10 min with no communication from staff and decided to just a grab a map and get started without the orientation because we had already been told we would need to hurry to see everything and felt that we were wasting time. Maybe that's when they would have mentioned that multiple houses were closed and you could not even walk through them? Feel like that's something u could mention when folks are buying tickets. The ones that were open were nice, and the gardens too, hence the 3 stars. Again, very little interaction with staff except when we were stopped by a worker inside one of the buildings and she demanded to see the tags proving we had paid to enter and would stop talking about the house whenever anyone entered so she could ask to see their tags if she couldn't spot them at a glance. VERY ODD. Maybe give out wristbands instead of tags if you want them on everyone's wrist? I would say the ticket price is steep for the amount of attention given to guest experience. Would not pay again or recommend to anyone.
