What a great automotive museum... Wide variety of autos from early 1900s into the late 1900s.... Nice variety of motorcycles as well... They have a room of New York State made items... Another room that has automobiles trucks tractors that get changed up every year around June.... Room is also available for parties and special occasions to use...

Awesome museum for car lovers! Wonderful asset for the town to have this great car museum. Not fond of the temporary 80s car display, but that's a me problem not a problem with the museum. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Wish I had more time to spend during my visit. Will have to return soon.

This is an incredible collection!! I'm so glad I stopped here on my way North. So many amazing cars! I could have spent the entire day here!! Unfortunately I only had a few hours to spare on my trip.

If you like the old-time cars, this is the place to go. So many classic cars and other relics to see. They even had a Delorean there!

Lovely museum with lots of cool cars from since 1920s! You can find information and fun facts about each item too. Plus the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. You can find merch & a Ford model T to hop on at the entrance/exit. Definitely a nice stop for a roadtrip adventure 🚗

A hidden gem in the hills of NYS. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through or staying nearby. We enjoyed touring this beautiful collection and will return to see new additions in the future!

We recently visited this museum, and I can truly say it is worth a visit. From the very beginning, the atmosphere draws you in and makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. Our guide was outstanding — knowledgeable, engaging, and ready to answer every question. The way he presented the historical facts made the entire experience both informative and captivating. Being inside the house itself felt surprisingly comfortable, as if the history around you came alive. You could really appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of everything on display. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit. The guide was exceptional, and thanks to him you genuinely feel immersed in history. Thank you, Helen

Beautiful preserved mansion in Binghamton that conveys the spirit of gilded age. Mansion is brick constructed not only on exterior but also its interior walls. Guided tour was quite informative. There is ample parking next to the mansion and near the library. Area might be sketchy though as I saw person shooting up drugs in mid-day at library’s parking lot.

Awesome little museum. It’s a miracle that so much of its history gets preserved til today (thank you, Monday Afternoon Club). I am mesmerized by the vintage furniture and the abundance of shapes in this house. Animal elements ranging from fish, squirrels, birds, griffins, lions fill in the nooks of this house. Adorable! I hope more people get to visit Phelps Museum and to see how women’s club is involved in the story of this house. Tour guide Joe knows the inside out of this house, thank you for leading us through history!

The Phelps Mansion is a magnificent Gilded Age home located in Binghamton, NY. The house was built in 1872 by architect Isaac Perry, who also worked on the NY State Capitol building. The mansion was owned by Binghamton businessman Sherman Phelps. Altogether, the house has 9 bedrooms, four bathrooms, a full kitchen, and has fireplaces in almost every room. Some of the best highlights of the house are the wood carvings that can be seen in different rooms. The staircase is also a stand out because of its large size and black walnut woodwork. You will also notice that most of the rooms are very “tall” and have high walls and ceilings. Most rooms also have large mirrors to create a brighter atmosphere. The dining room is one of the best rooms in the house with its long dining table and intricate wood carvings located around it. The library also is unique with its fireplace. Many other rooms in the house are decorated with artifacts from Binghamton’s history. Be sure to check out the paintings throughout the house as well. Most of the furniture in the house is not original to it, but the house goes out of its way to depict what the house would have looked like when it was first built and at the height of style. The Phelps Mansion offers both guided tours and self-guided audio tours. It is best to buy a ticket on their website for a tour. It is possible to buy a ticket at the door. The Mansion does a great job exhibiting the history of Sherman Phelps and his family, but Binghamton as well. This is a great place to visit in Binghamton.

The house is absolutely spectacular. I have already been there twice and intend to go back. The staff is super nice and very informative. Can't wait to return and see the house during the holidays (I've heard it gets decorated). Truly, this piece of history has hit the jackpot when it comes to being preserved and kept as it would have been when it was built. Others are not so lucky. But, I'm sure glad some are. Stepping into this house is almost like stepping into the world of any history lovers dreams. All of the furniture is antique. The woodwork is utterly impressive. And the house has a very rich (no pun intended) history. As a bonus, even the bathrooms that visitors can use are quite nicely decorated, beautiful, and clean. One hundred percent would recommend that people visit. Edit: Went to see it decorated for Christmas and it was gorgeous.

My husband and I immensely enjoyed our house tour with Joe, our very knowledgeable, easy-to-understand tour guide. The property is well-maintained and happily will be preserved as a reminder of Binghamton’s rich past history. Being from New Jersey, I knew nothing of the area at all and this tour enlightened my curiosity.

Absolutely my favorite historical place in Binghamton. Their programs are wonderful. The docents are so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the house and its history. I've come back repeatedly and learned something new every time!

This is a cute little zoo, but it could use some TLC. It’s on the smaller side—we spent about 45 minutes walking through and took our time. The animal selection was nice, though we did notice a strong smell around some of the enclosures. That might be because you can get closer to the animals here than at most zoos, which is both unique and surprising. I loved seeing the wolves, artic fox, red pandas, and I learned that porcupines can climb (who knew!?) It was also neat to see the peacocks full plumage open! Some areas of the grounds, like the garden statues, are a bit worn and could definitely use a refresh. That said, I really liked the little hidden shack along the walking path—it made for a cute photo op! The staff was friendly, there was no wait to get in, and the admission price is super reasonable. I think the zoo has a lot of potential to grow and probably just needs a bit more funding to really shine. I was even thinking a variety of animal encounters (even for an extra fee) might help with fundraising—but I get that it’s probably more complicated than it sounds. If you have kiddos, it’s definitely worth a quick visit!

It’s such a cute zoo with surprisingly good variety of animals! This is the first time I’ve seen sand cat and pallas cat. The enclosures are all nestled among trees, the wolf enclosure especially is very spacious. It seems like the viewing areas are also well planned, I could get good pictures of pretty much all the animals. Additional note for parents: the family bathrooms are quite spacious, which is a huge plus for taking kids there.

Not bad, have bunches of animals to explore. Not really that neat but it’s a fun place to spend the day specially if you have kids or as a date with beloved ones. Just get ready to take a mountain walk for a mile. A lot of the animals felt like they are very weak or not well fed however they have a few nice and unique animals as well.

This zoo was much smaller than I remembered. However it has a clear 1 mile path around it. We enjoyed the penguins and it does have a small snack shack.

It’s a small zoo, but with some cool animals. You get a closer look at some of the animal than you might at bigger zoos. It’s a fairly easy walk that can be done within an hour without rushing.

Hands down the best zoo experience we’ve ever had. We drove all the way from Toronto just to see the Pallas’s cats—my girlfriend’s absolute favorite. When we told the staff about our trip, they went above and beyond: they printed out a full fact sheet on the animal and even surprised us with a hand-painted artwork as a gift. Truly thoughtful and unforgettable.

My favorite place for plants and local produce. 🌷 Huge selection and fair prices. They have farm animals as well which are fun to visit but not applicable to me. I heard others raving about the donuts but I did not indulge this time around. This will be a regular spot for me especially during the spring and summer months.

This place has so much! I love when they run their flat sales! Their flowers are always so pretty.

Fruit and veggies always good. Rabbits amd chickens are not fed properly and do not have access to water. They have large breed fluffy puppies for sale all the time. These puppies are not being cared for properly. They are outside all day in the heat, have no water, are bloody, and have flies all over them.

Walked into the first room when we got there which houses chicks and bunnies, etc. and was instantly hitting the face with the smell of death (which given my profession I I am unfortunately very familiar with). The animals were lacking water, looks lethargic, and then when I looked around the corner I saw dead animals sitting in a bag with flies encompassing them. Comment was made and shrugged off that they have “fly traps”. I advised it was 100% rotting animals and was told they would look into it.

I look forward to going to this farm with my Dad every fall. Great produce. Beautiful area. Great prices! Completely worth the drive.

Extraordinary amount of fresh produce and it was all in great shape when we visited. The donuts are made on the spot and have an incredible gooey texture, one of the best I've ever had. The produce and cheeses and bagels are all local and the prices are as low as you'll find anywhere.

Always a great place for good variety of produce and flowers. Animals are fun to look at for the kids. I took these pictures while I was waiting for a child watching the animals before we did our shopping. We can always count on this place to have in season produce and some local produce.

We visited both parks on the same day, and I recommend starting with the Zoo first. Buy your tickets there, as you’ll get a discount for the Safari. The Safari took about 30–45 minutes, depending on how often animals stopped us in search of food. Passing through different sections felt like going through a toll booth—only instead of attendants, curious animals were waiting to be fed. It was a very fun and interactive experience, but be careful—some animals will stand right in front of your car. The Zoo portion was okay, although most animals were either sleeping or hiding from the sun and heat. We still managed to see tigers, lions, and a variety of farm animals. Next time, I’d like to try the VIP experience for a closer look at the animals. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit! 😉

Very nice zoo. The walk though is easy and not very long. You do get alot more up close views of the animals that larger zoos dont offer. I highly recommend doing the safari. You use your own vehicle and have animals coming to say hi throughout the ride. It took us about 1 hrs to drive though. The animals will stick their heads in your car to feed. Get some cool selfies and give children a unique experience they'll remember forever. Buy the feed buckets. Its kind of expensive but makes the experience so much better:)

We went here with our local friends. We had a wonderful time! This place has such a wide variety of animals. Everything was clean and well maintained. The ability to pet and feed so many animals is an experience unlike any other. I do wish some of the enclosures had more going on for some of the animals as some seemed bored (pacing)... But every staff member we saw was caring and attentive.

Considering it is 20 minutes outside of Binghamton, this place is great. The Zoo itself is a good size, for sure, and it’s spacious, modernized, and relaxing. The layouts of the animal exhibits is well thought out, offering the chance to see most of the animals. The Preserve / car park is much larger than I expected, with major themed sections of the leisurely drive. Overall, the animals are very docile and friendly, with the chance to feed many of them.

I think I may have had more fun than my grand kids and they loved it. The animals were beautiful and to see them so close was amazing. There were white a few cars at the gate but everyone guess at their own pace and once inside we didn't really see any cars until the end

What a great experience. The animals are so well taken care of, the staff was friendly. We went to the zoo first and then the safari, and spent 3 hours between the 2. We will definitely be back.

Well worth the drive for our first visit. Both parks were well kept and very clean. You can clearly see how well the animals are taken care of. As a mom of two young ones I really appreciated the baby spots offered around the park that were cooled with AC and private/clean changing areas. Highly recommend visiting both parks, we did the walk through first and were given a discount for the drive through after.

We just visited for the first time for their winter film festival and had the best time. Lovely classic indie movie theatre. Really friendly staff. Great quality visuals and audio. Good selection of snacks and drinks. Such a reasonable price too for the movie and the snacks compared to the big chains. It’s a 90 minute drive for us but totally worth it. Definitely check it out.

Fantastic small town theater with 4-5 screens. It also serves as a venue for music and entertainment. Regularly shows classics and runs yearly film festivals.

Take yourself back to Main Street Movie Night USA in style. The theater is beautiful and well-maintained. Affordable and tasty snacks. The original theater was built in 1936. It closed in the 1980s and was restored and reopened in 2001. A real gem. We were in town on the 4th of July with our 5-year-old and it’s the only thing open. It’s walkable from The Hampton Inn nearby. Would love to come back on a bustling evening sometime soon.

We saw the Nickelback documentary there tonight, and it was an amazing place. It was like stepping back in time to the movie theaters of old. Full of character, stylish and clean as a whistle. The staff were all dressed in nice clothing and so friendly. The snacks were reasonably priced and the seats are very comfy. If we lived closer, we'd go there often. Highly, highly recommend!

Great experience! So much history of Houdini, and so much to see. Dorothy was very accommodating, went there on a last minute trip and wasn't sure if we would make it on time. Fantastic little gem of a museum. While the history of Houdino is fascinating, well told, and well supported with historic items, the real treasure is Dorothy Dietrich. Her life story is fascinating, and she's one of a few people I've met who are impactful due to their courage to try. Amazing!

The Museum is overflowing with authentic Houdini Magic Props, Posters, Photos and other memorabilia of Harry Houdini, his wife, and his parents. The place is crowded and they're looking for a larger place. Well worth the trip to see.

The place is jam-packed with Houdini history and memorabilia. Dorothy was a great magician..in fact, the most well known female magician for escaping a straight jacket from a burning rope quite a few hundred feet in the air and other stunts. She and her partner were great. The overall experience was fun and a definite must see!

If you are ever interested in the history of Houdini, this is the place to go! They give you a VERY detailed tour of the original artifacts they have from Houdini and the history that goes along with them. Very family friendly environment. The owners are very nice and go out of their way to put on a good magic show for you. This is a must stop if you are in the area (or even out of the area)

Amazing Place to visit while in Scranton PA! Very kid friendly, and interesting for the whole family. You can pay for a ticket to ride their trolley and train ride, which explains the history of the area. There is also the turntable + roundhouse museum, which houses lots of relics and trains, all of which is free to see. Overall an amazing place to stop by whenever you have free time, plus it's a short walk over the bridge to the Steamtown Marketplace & Trolly Museum!

This is another wow, wow, wow moment. Had no idea stopping to check Scanton PA out was going to yield this awesome find. This place was loaded with all kinds of history. Obviously you have to be a person interested in history to appreciate this kind of site. But how could you not be? This may be the best preserved site in America dedicated to the railroad, and steam engine. I'm so glad that this is somehow funded for our citizens to be able to enjoy. It's so cool to see the kids be in awe of these trains. I know growing up, I was interested in trains as well.

This is a very big site with plenty to see. It's pretty confusing to know where to go. I went to the trolley museum and steam town. There's is actually another museum called the technology museum by steam also that I think is work checking out. It's very interesting seeing the history of the rail system and how Scranton became known as the electric city. There are guided tours that take about an hour and brings you to where they work on restoration of different trains.

Even if you're in Scranton for the Office, make sure you go here! I found out they had one of the 8 remaining Big Boy trains and had to stop by. It's out in the parking lot and is beautifully restored. The museum is free. Staff are all friendly. There's easily a half day of stuff to see, but you could easily spend a full day here. Lots of beautiful trains and very thorough and informative walk through exhibits. I ran out of time and didn't have a chance to walk on the walkway above the rail yard, or go to the electric trolley museum. You will not be disappointed!

Couldn't get in due to Federal Shutdown, but posting a few details re parking etc. Large free of charge car park is shared with the Trolley Museum. There are signs for RV and Van parking too. Plenty of blue badge parking spaces. There are many picnic tables and benches, some under cover around the car park. Some locos around the car park Hope to return one day and go inside.

Absolutely wonderful experience! We happened to stumble thru right before their tour! Nick and Bill were very informative and fun! We even got to see some of the workers and behind the scenes stuff! I still can't believe the tour was free! A wonderful must -stop if you're in the area!

We visited early morning on a Saturday in late June 2025. We got there just a few minutes before opening since we were staying at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. Amazing hotel to stay in if you're in town for the Steamtown National Historic Site. It was a converted old train station. There is a giant parking lot and you can kind of look around at the trains in the parking lot and in front of the visitor center while you wait for them to open. The ticket and information center is right at the front when you walk in. We picked up maps, junior ranger books and purchased our train tickets for the 10:30AM ride/tour. Sadly the Locomotive Shop Tour started at 11AM and there wasn't another one until 2PM. The train tour returned at 11:15AM so we wouldn't make it in time and we had a tightly packed itinerary for the day. Next we walked to the left where the Bookstore museum shop is. It's in adjacent building to the Oil House. It's actually a fairly nice sized store with a bunch of neat stuff. This is also where the NPS Passport Cancellation Stamps are for this site. They are right behind the counter and there are 2 stamps. We dropped all the stuff off at the car and went into the first building (Visitor Center). We went through it pretty quite because we noticed that they had a handcar Experience from 10-11AM and a line was starting to form. Never tried a handcar before and it was much harder to get started than you think. Momentum is your friend though. The ranger let all 5 of us get on. 2 on each handle and one opposite of him on the cart. You go out maybe 50 feet, stop and then turn around to go back. It was a lot of fun. By the time we were done we went through the Technology museum to the other side where the train ride/tour was. We had to go fast to get in line since they are not assigned seats and first come first serve. We wanted to make sure we got seats next to each other. We were the second group in line. We decided to sit in the way back. There are 2 passenger cars next to each other and they are not the same. They do have rangers/staff on both trains as you're going. They were very strict about staying in your seat while the train was moving and there were a few kids on our train that the rangers/staff kept having to remind. Conductor will come by and punch your ticket as well. It's pretty cool because the hole punch is the shape of a train. The train doesn't go too far before it stops and turns around to head back to the station. it was a fun experience and for $6 per person it wasn't too bad. I think 5 and under were free. It was also a pretty full train. Not sure if it was sold out or what. After we got off the train at the same place we got on the train, we continued round around the circle into the Roundhouse. Here there were a ton of parked trains with signs and you walk on like a high up platform to see them all. You can't really get super close to them unfortunately. The locomotive shop is also attached to this section of the building and where you would go if you had purchased that particular tour option. We continued lastly into the History Museum portion and looked around a bit. This was the portion we walked through the fastest honestly. Kids weren't too interested in the history. They liked the technology and seeing the trains more. The last building we came across was the theater but it was closed for renovations or something during our visit. So we were not able to watch the park film. I'm sure if we were able to watch the film, the kids would've been more interested in the history aspect. Kids finished their Junior Ranger Booklets and we turned them back in at the front Ticket and Information Center and they got their badges. We ran into museum shop to get them stamped and then we were off to our next stop for the day. Overall it was a great experience and we packed a lot in for just under 2 hrs. Since we had to run through everything so quickly we would 100% come back in the future. Take more time in the museums and also do the other tour. Maybe the theater will be reopened.

I’ve lived in Scranton for around 1 year, but this is my first time visiting this park. This public park is very spacious, with a beautiful waterfall, and it’s a perfect place to visit during the fall foliage season. I brought my cat for a walk — there are so many squirrels here, and my cat was so happy watching them run around.

I was a first-time visitor to Nay Aug Park on Wednesday June 11, 2025. There is something for everybody in this city-owned public space. The day I was visiting there was a health fair being presented and I picked up some valuable information. The trails leading to the water seemed very treacherous to me. Maybe there is an easy trail but I did not find it. Check out the cool tree house platform. Apparently at this time of year the foliage obscures the water from the tree house. Apparently there is a parking lot on location reserved for hospital staff.

Small but very nice. A lot of people swimming in the summertime peacefully, but dangerous cliff jumping. Cops were in the parking lot when we left, probably for the large groups of young people cliff jumping into the deep water by the waterfall

Beautiful place to take a walk or a hike. Be careful in some areas, as the last major storm caused some of the paths to get washed out. Wear good shoes and you'll be able to get around well. Don't forget to check out the coffee shop near the hospital, Blackwatch Coffee. Excellent coffee, cute little bistro/cafe as they also sell breakfast and lunch items. Would go back to try their specialty "monthly" coffee selections.

Love visiting here when back in Scranton. Hikes can be difficult with how steep things are and a lot of uneven ground, wet leaves etc. There are some paved paths but still pretty steep if physically compromised or not in fair health. We had some older people in our group and were able to navigate the terrain, though moderately challenging, with some caution. The scenic views are worth the trek.

This area is beautiful for walking. We parked at the end of Mulberry Street and followed the trails to the bridge, overlook, and falls. It's a great spot to spend some time in nature.

Easy to access via bus, jump off at Geisinger. If you can catch the mine tour, it's well worth it. Plenty of hiking trails and picnic areas. There's gazebos and usually decent parking. Don't miss the treehouse overlook!

This a review ONLY for the free RV parking. After you turn off 315 you need to drive all the way back to Lot E where the website says RVs can park. A sign points left to a gravel lot but and others went into Lot E and parked on pavement with the big trucks. You able to use your levels, generator, and slides. There is plenty of room. We parked in the long lanes painted for big rigs. There are no amenities so it is dry camping. It was quiet. AT&T cell service was excellent. Over the air TV was available. There is a covered shuttle stop in the Lot if you want to go to the casino for meals or gambling. We did not use it or go into the casino. There are grassy areas for dog walking and a body of water across the street behind the trees. We would certainly stop here for a free night.

Was there 10/25 and 10/26/25. The room was great, and cleaned very well. Played at the Casino and a wide range of slots to choose from. Not once did we have to wait to get drinks, those gals were amazing. We ate at 2 different places and both were amazing, and the prices very affordable. Check in and out was a breeze. Will definitely go back. As for the comedy show...not so my style. Meeting table and chairs. A different set up would be needed. SA

We didnt stay at the hotel just visited. Casino was clean, looked like lots of good food options. Also the toilet cover thing was neat, i've never seen that! The track was nice but it was a HOT day and there wasn't a lot of shade outside. People were smoking inside so not comfortable in there.

Had a was wonderful time. Food at Ruth Chris was a fantastic meal. We ate at Johnny Rockets. Very inexpensive and delicious. Lots of cocktail waitresses on the cassino floor. Our room was super clean and lovely.

So Smokey from the front entrance and throughout the casino. My wife and I felt the level of fresh air ventilation was poor. We couldn't escape the smoke! We Visited on Monday, November 17th. Many food options were closed also. No Bubble Craps!! If you're not a smoker....Stay Away!!!

Not a 4 star hotel…… more like a 3. Come ready to make your own bed and ask for more towels and other essentials or bring your own if you need them. And make sure you bring your tablet with your own shows properly downloaded for streaming. The streaming service does not work at all…. And the worst part is that after you try to make it work for 10 times and you call the front desk they will tell you….. oh… I don’t know why they still have that because it does not work!

I stayed at Mohegan Pennsylvania for a weekend and the security checkpoint was extremely inconsistent and unfavorable treatment based on sex toward males. The first day my wife and I were able to walk in and out without being stopped. The second day in the AM we were carded and had a picture taken which is not a big deal. Later that night upon walking in I was told I had to get in line which is not a big deal until my wife who was directly in front of me was told she was good to walk in and I was told to wait in line. I asked security about the requirements on enter being able to walk right in and wasn't given an answer. Then, while in line I overheard security tell someone that if you look under 40 that you have to wait in line. I also repeatedly saw women in their 20s being able to walk right in. The line was full of males waiting to enter the casino.

Reasonably priced attraction in Honesdale. We spent about 35 minutes here with our kids. It's not huge but it was the right size for the kids to not get bored. I could have spent more time if I read all the exhibits but they would have been waiting for me

It appears to be a small space however boy does it open up once inside! Beautiful art and an arrowhead collection to knock your socks off!

Small with lots of great local historical objects to see and learn about. Liked that they gave a nod to the families that donated. Kids area was hands on cool. Wish their gift shop had more historical objects to purchase rather than just books.

Only cost $5 for an adult, free for kids! The hands on exhibit was a fun place for kids and had lots of interesting tidbit bits for adults to peruse while the kids played. They could pretend to catch some fish and harvest from the garden to make some food in the house, dress up clothes are provided too! My kid went on a school trip and wanted to go back again she loved it so much.

The arena is great! The suites are great! 10-12 seats inside suite and outside with overlooking arena. Ordered food and drinks. A little pricey! But great drinks!

Nice arena. Went there for a graduation ceremony. No beer allowed, maybe because it was a university graduation ceremony. Ample amount of parking space and an awesome location. Overall very nice.

Nice venue, but seats on the floor are super tight. Very small seats, tight against each other! MercyMe was awesome!

2 great events in the last few weeks. Cirque de Soliel and the WB Penguins special event day as the Carbondale UFOs . Both well organized and both filled with helpful associates. Food is pretty good for arena food.. The Crab Fries are tasty.

Awesome for a multitude of events. Easy in and out free parking with the option for paid premium parking. Vendor's have everything you need for a night at the hockey games. Can see most everything going on from any seat in the complex.

Been here many many times for hockey games (they did great for Monster Jam too!) but seeing Journey & Toto there was an incredible experience, wow! Although super crowded, you could still get around. Facilities are clean. How could anyone not like the Arena?

Went to a concert last night. Show was great. But the head of Beverage must have called out or something. When we arrived we went to get a beer. The beer was WARM. They must have just stocked or were too lazy to pull the cold ones upfront. So we decided to get a red wine a couple hours later. They only had half a bottle of Merlot. It was SKUNKED. I am convinced they ran out of red wine at this stand and pulled wine from a previous event. For what you are charging for drinks.....please be more respectful of people's hard earned money.

We dropped by for a period of about 2 hours on a slightly rainy Wednesday in May, and it was awesome. I suspect it would have been a lot busier in better weather, but we had the place almost all to ourselves. Great trails, beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL spots around the 'Tubs loop'. I wish we had a whole afternoon to enjoy it. As I said, I imagine this place is incredibly busy in nice weather, and it may take away from the experience, but for us, it was perfect. Absolutely free. Bathrooms are one step above an outhouse, but were clean. Hardly any garbage to speak of, and we picked up what little we saw. Well worth going to. 5/5...

This place was worth it quick easy walk to the main attraction areas. We went first thing in the morning before anyone was in the springs. The water was crystal clear and warm we visited in hot August. Super cute. We took a lot of wonderful pictures and enjoyed about an hour or so here.

Beautiful park to visit. Water level was very low in the 2nd weekend of October 2025 but still gorgeous for photos and relaxing near the water. Not wheelchair accessible. Would be slippery if snowing or raining. Multiple trails for hiking. Clean bathrooms. Two parking areas that hold about 20 cars each.

Absolutely amazing walk. It took us about 1h 30 to do the full walk. Plenty of bugs so bring bug spray. Also good hiking boots might be worth bringing also as it had just rained and the surface was slippy. I would recommend this area. Very nice indeed.

Seven Tubs Nature Area is a hidden gem in Pennsylvania. The glacial rock formations and waterfalls are absolutely beautiful, and the trails are peaceful and well-marked. I had a great experience—perfect for a quick nature escape or a longer hike if you want to explore deeper into the woods. Highly recommend going early for the best views and fewer crowds.

Seven Tubs is a very cool area to explore, it was extra beautiful with all the fall foliage. Can't wait to go back and explore more! If you are near the area I would recommend checking this area out.

Really cool spot if you like to hike. Definitely wear proper footwear. Lots of uneven / rough trails. We had a great time, except when I fell & almost slid down waterfall into the creek at the bottom 😂 We did 2.8 miles total out & back following the markers.

This zoo offers a unique experience with interactive animal feedings, including giraffes, goats, and deer, and a close-up view of animals like lions, tigers, and wolves. The staff was friendly and informative. The price to enter was reasonable. It was clean and well-maintained. We did order from the snack stand, options were limited but prices were reasonable as well. It does look like other families packed meals which is good to know..

This zoo pleasantly surprised us. Alot of great animals and a chance to see them up close and personal. Jethro the giraffe stole the show. Such a sweet and kind animal.Drew his handler was beyond awesome. Took time to explain and answer any questions we had. Zoo is perfect for kids and adults. Certainly will keep visiting this zoo when ever we are in this area.

We spent the most amazing day at Claws N Paws celebrating our daughter’s 6th birthday! 🌿 It was so peaceful — we arrived first thing in the morning and practically had the place to ourselves. A beautiful walk through the woods paired with so many incredible animals made it such a special experience. The girls loved every moment (and so did we!). Highly recommend for a family day out!

Well, we spent a little over 2 hours there. The animals were housed apart nicely, so there was a good bit of walking. We found the walkways a bit rough, but truly, we are in the poconos with trees and a variety of weather. It kind of added to the atmosphere. The walkways were very wide...so easy to accommodate large groups. Def a big variety of animals...and well cared for. My granddaughter enjoyed it, especially being able to see the animals eating and moving around. I think it def would be a place to stop in. As described, it truly is open air ..so you may want to double check the weather forecast.

It was a good surprise. I mean, there is nothing fancy about this zoo. It is in the middle of the woods and it is pretty small but we were impressed by the animals they have. When we went there, there was not many people so you can easily see it all in an hour. The only thing is the feeding times, where it is worth waiting and doing it with the star of the zoo, which is the giraffe. People who works here are extremely nice as well. If you are in the area is a good option for young kids, we took our 4 years old kid and he loved it.

We very much enjoyed this little zoo. There were animals and experiences here that we can’t see or get at our zoo at home. Loved that it was mostly shaded so even on a warm day it was enjoyable to walk around. The enclosures are a bit dated compared to other bigger zoos but the animals seemed happy and content. We saw lots of zookeepers around caring for the animals. My daughter especially loved feeding the tortoises and the lorikeets. We had a really fun day here.

The kids loved it. I was there a long time ago and it was awesome and more interactive. Needs a bit of an update and the cages cleaned. As an adult I have a hard time seeing animals in cages but I'm sure they wouldn't live long in the wild being in captivity for so long and I know most of them are rescue animals.

I have been coming to Split Rock for over 20 years prior to moving to West Virginia 5 years ago. I was excited to see that they remodeled the rooms when I booked a trip. The reception was very nice but it went downhill from there. I was told that the elevator was down and would have to carry everything to the 3rd floor. I asked about plates and glasses not being in the kitchen (my friend arrived earlier and gave me a heads up). The receptionist explained that the weekend folks kept breaking them so it’s only available for timeshare owners. Ok, I get it. After lugging my suitcase up 3 flights of steps I open our room to see a windowless box with minimal air conditioning and the most uncomfortable living room I’ve ever experienced. Think straight-backed church pews with cushions. The beds were comfortable and the resort beautiful, but I will never come back again.

My friend and I booked a stay at the resort July 10 through the 17th 2025. It was her birthday and I wanted to surprise her. The surprise was on us when we got there and got a room. The room was so bad that when we asked for maintenance, there was no maintenance people on site so we had to clean a defrosting refrigerator. It was ice and water all over the refrigerator when we opened the refrigerator. Water was falling on the floor when we went to clean the refrigerator. The sink was so dirty. It was a silver sink that turned brown. We had to clean that the countertop the stove it was a mess then we find out we have no cable. Went to the desk to complain about everything there was nobody that could help us because there was no maintenance on site. The place was like a ghost town and in the rooms was dirty couldn’t get no linen. It was real bad. we wind up leaving two days early. That’s how bad it was. We didn’t get maintenance for the TVs for three days. So for you who have a membership or is looking to buy a membership from split rock don’t. They didn’t want to reimburse me nothing I couldn’t get no help from managers because the managers was barely on site. If they weren’t on site they was in a meeting they busy so therefore you couldn’t get any help from nobody, bad situation all the way around. So my warning to you, if you’re looking to buy into a resort, do not buy into split rock it’s the worst.

Resort had many errors upon arrival. I left a vape behind in which I have no problem picking up. Phone numbers don’t work. They randomly hang up on me. Can’t speak to anyone about the matter. No heat, fridge was damaged, no breakfast accommodations for the amount that was paid. Definitely was not worth my stay. I’m hoping my friend had a great birthday. But I felt it could have been better. Customers service is very poor. I called 2 different types of numbers to try and speak to someone about my property being returned but I can even get ahold of someone online. Customer service is disgusting. They aren’t helpful rather the complete opposite. Very unethical and incompetent. They don’t care about their customers. They have a nasty attitude. Do not waste your money in going here. Absolutely appalling and waste of money. Nothing enjoyable about this resort at all.

All the staff we interacted with were wonderful. Size of the time share rooms (2 bedroom ) were amazing. Building 6 rooms 3119 A/B. Rooms themselves, as you know are outdated. Clean, but outdated. New couches are desperately needed simply for comfort. They were incredibly firm and uncomfortable. We had a good stay all in all and the place would be amazing if remodeled. We really booked it for its proximity to Jim Thorpe and surrounding area.

I was extreme dissatisfied with my recent stay at Split Rock Poconos, Willowbrook. While I appreciate that the staff were friendly and helpful and that the breakfast buffet and service were excellent, the overall condition of the resort and accommodations was unacceptable. When we arrived at the building, I immediately noticed several issues: * The exterior was extremely dirty, with visible grime and algae, and the overhang was missing its aluminum covering. * Inside, there was a strong sewage odor and heavily stained carpeting throughout the halls. * Our unit contained bugs on the walls and ceiling, dirty and outdated appliances, and visible dirt on the bed. One wall even had a hole in it. * The in-room phone did not work. We were then moved to Building 6. Although the exterior appeared slightly cleaner, the overall condition was still disappointing. The entryway smelled unpleasant, lighting throughout was dim, and the furniture appeared decades old. The hallway carpets were stained, and trash was present on the floor. In our unit, the appliances and handles were grimy, the dining chairs were stained. The bathroom was poorly lit and visibly unclean, with stained fixtures and a damaged electrical socket that appeared to be burned—posing a potential safety hazard. The resort’s main recreational area was also in disrepair. Several bowling lanes were out of order, seats were ripped and dirty, and buckets had been placed to catch water leaking from the ceiling. These conditions made the amenities unusable.

I Love all the activities there are at split rock resort. I really enjoy the arcade and bowling alley. Me and my bf come every October for my birthday and we always have a great week here with everything there is to do here. A special shout out to Luis and Gerald for being amazing workers and always answering questions we have or if a machine is giving us issues they are there to help.

I was honestly prepared for the worst vacation spot of my life judging from the most recent reviews but we were happy with our little stay at Split Rock. Only the Town Center had the water problems and you can see by my photos that the staff had water out for people to drink there. The reception staff was so so nice and gave us a room at The Lodge and the water there comes from a different source per the staff. I brought my two young kids and they did not mind that the resort is in need of superficial updates and some tlc - they had a blast at the arcade and the water park and in the room which had a great view! The activities and bones are charming but it does need updating.

The park offers a lot to do, is mostly dog friendly, and the campground is ok. The hikes to the waterfalls were lovely even in the rain. The Boulder Field was fun and unique but be prepared for a long drive on a dirt road with lots of potholes to get there. The swimming lake was nice and lots of area to swim. I especially liked that it was smoke-free. There’s three divided large swimming sections. A cute lil goose family was swimming along with us humans. No dogs on the beach, but there’s grass and trees nearby where I stayed with my dog. Of course there’s people that don’t listen and bring their dog on the beach and hike with their dog off leash, which is disappointing. The food is over priced by the pool and only one person works there and she’s slow and unable to multi-task. I think I waited 15 minutes for my ice cream with only one person in front of me who also just ordered one ice cream. The soft serve was very delicious and worth it! If you want to tent camp, sites 302, 304, 306, 308, 310, 312, and 314 are the nicest and most secluded. Sites 298, 299, and 301 are right by the busy road. A lot of the other sites are hit or miss: small, too close together, no shade, muddy, etc. The campground appears a bit neglected with tall grass, damaged trees, falling apart picnic tables, and lots of closed sites. The water didn’t work by my site and there’s no running water in the bathroom, just a port a potty type toilet. If u need to shower you must drive to the other campground. The camp store is small but very well-stocked with anything you might need. But beware, they sold me firewood that was wet and fresh and did not burn well. People have zero respect for quiet hours, but I complained to the park ranger and the next night and morning it was so quiet, the rangers do a great job! Alcohol is not permitted in the park or campground, but again, people didn’t listen to that either. The new visitor center is very nice. They did close at least an hour early on Saturday night. They warned everyone about bears in the area and were great with advice but I didn’t see any.

A large state park with beautiful nature surrounding it and spacious areas recreation. They have picking areas, a seasonal swimming area, a fishing lake, and of course the boulder field plus so much more. Could spend multiple days exploring the great out doors here.

Had a wonderful time visiting Hickory Run State Park—just about a two-hour drive with beautiful, scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, the staff at the visitor center were kind and helpful, guiding us toward Hawk Falls and the Boulder Field. The center itself was clean, well-maintained, and even had EV chargers available. Hiking to Hawk Falls was a moderate trek. The path down was mostly downhill with uneven terrain, so it required careful footing. The return hike was uphill and a good reminder to pace yourself, but it was worth it. The rocks near the falls were large and easy to walk across, making for some amazing photo opportunities. The Boulder Field was a short drive away, first on the highway and then along a bumpy dirt road. Once there, informational signs explained how the field was formed during the Ice Age. Climbing across the massive rocks was both fun and challenging—definitely keep your hands free for balance in case a boulder shifts. Overall, it was a fantastic first visit. I’m already looking forward to returning for more hiking and to explore the park’s camping options.

We loved Hickory Run State Park especially the visitor center. Could use some better trail maps and trail signage but we had a great time so much more than boulder field

One of the most amazing state parks I've been into. BEAWARE : There is no network once you come here so please download offline version of google maps before coming here. The information center is pretty good with clean washrooms and a bunch of maps. Staff was helpful with our questions. We did Trail A- Beach Trail which was 0.5 and was very easy with no elevation. Later we did Trail T- Shades of Death trail which was marked as most difficult. But for me who has NO hiking and NO Gymminng experience I found it to be easy. Takes about 1 hour out-and-back. The boulder field is 15mins drive from the information center. The road is not paved and it sometimes is very narrow for 2 way traffic. So be careful and drive slow. Sometimes this road is one-way only which is a lot easier. The boulder field is fascinating but take care of your belongings - especially your cellphone because it may fall down in between the rocks. Some rocks move while be step on them so it's necessary to balance properly. We enjoyed this state park a lot.

Lovely state park with tons of hiking trails and lovely scenery!! Went on the shades of Death trail. Suggest bringing appropriate foot ware with you as some trails are a little sketchy, a lot of roots from the trees, and small walkways on some parts. Just use caution when in those areas, but it's worth the hike.

Came on Memorial Day to camp, goo's choice...beat the weekend crowd. A lot of pretty sites. 2 loops are electric, one loop has some 3 ways. Restrooms are clean. But only one Restroom/Shower house for 2 loops. I think it would be a little crowded on a weekend or holidays. Nice beach area and plenty of hiking.

A week ago was my first time here.. my fiancee and I got lunch meat at rodnick's there great sales on ham turkey cheeses etc... it was absolutely crowded the auction was filled with so much to look at to buy it was more bigger than I thought the whole place had so many deals from antiques veggies produce candy lunch meats cheeses household items clothing way too much to type here ... if you want to get great deals and get out for a day and get a bite to eat Go here a must ... everyone is so nice .. I would recommend go in the morning we went afternoon and it was very crowded... I wish they would be open on a Saturday

Great Place! Many fruit and vegetable vendors and deals to go along with it! Many other vendors as well. Food of all kinds available. Nice way to spend a few hours on a Wednesday.

Very enjoyable....I got a Jan and Dean 33 record, a Penn reel, a blueberry crumb donut, a star wars toy, an old man hat (embroider and says catfish) and a dog bed...was a real good trip highly recommend

Very clean well kept market. Lots of fruit, vegetable, bakery and new item vendors. Not much flea market. I'm told it's $30 for a small space to set up for flea market.

Absolutely love this farmers market. Only open on Wednesdays but definitely worth it! I go all the time in the summer for fresh fruits and veggies

We liked it. It was interesting. Parking is free and admission is cheap. I don't know if you can stick a wheelchair in the mine cart but I did see a person get a walker in one and use a walker in the mine. It's an interesting little tour. Tour takes about an hour. You meet your guide in the museum then you ride with a group on a mine cart or mine train maybe that's what it is. But you go into the mine everything is pretty flat and the guide will talk you through the exhibits. Outside of the mine they have the museum and a gift shop that sells souvenirs and snacks. They have bathrooms there and there are other exhibits on the grounds, old train cars and mine cars.

My husband I went on the mine tour 9/14/2025. Our tour guide was Daryl and he was amazing! Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable he was also funny. He has so much information he wanted to share I wish we could have spent hours in the mine listening to him. He is a 5th generation coal miner. His first hand experience paired with the stories from all the generations before him made him the most perfect guide. I am already planning a return trip with the rest of our family. Thank you for such an amazing experience I will never forget.

Very cool experience. The guide is extremely knowledgeable. It is a serious look at the coal mining industry. There is an excellent museum and video presentation. You ride a coal train into an actual coal mine that is no longer in service. The trip take roughly one hour. It is well worth seeing and feeling what it was like in the cold damp earth. The tour and museum is one ticket.

If you visit the museum definitely plan it around the tour times since that was well worth it. The size of the tunnels are hard to image unless you are walking through them and the effort it took to create. Our tour guide was very know and made the tour very interesting.

This past July marked the first time since 2011 visiting the coal mine and my wife & kids' very first time here as well as PA in general. Browsed the museum & store but it was the train ride and mine tour with an informative narrative that made the experience even better. Come from the flatland (IL) we were visiting my dad's siblings in Tamaqua & Coaldale. Everyday in PA we did something different and was sure looking forward to this again. Now my 10-year-old son can go tell his homeroom teacher and his classmates at the start of 5th grade that he explored a coal mine along with a few other attractions in PA. For some ppl this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance and PA is rich in history. To all those who lost their lives while mining and trying to provide for your families, may you rest in peace.🇺🇲

What a fantastic and well preserved part of American history. This place illustrates the importance of the coal industry and tells the much forgotten dark truths about it like child labor, job danger, and low pay and practices that made many workers intentioned servants. Hour tours give a lot of information. Notes, it is cold and you may want a jacket but they provide some before entry. Also, wear good footwear and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. The floors are muddy and you will have water drip on you frequently.

Coal mine tour was a great time! Perfect spot to visit during the spooky season. Janet was a very knowledgeable tour guide.

I remembered the old Mount Airy Lodge commercials from when I was a kid in the 1980s, and I wanted to see how this place changed since then, even though the original structure was demolished in the early 2000s. I came here for a little weekend trip for some gambling and a little spa treatment. This whole place is absolutely gorgeous. One of the best resorts I have visited. My room was clean and I had a nice view of the lake/golf course. The room has a fridge, but it only holds beverages (including alcohol) from the hotel that you are automatically charged if you remove anything. Same goes for snacks. The casino can be a little off putting since it is a tad smoky since smoking is permitted. Otherwise, they have a great selection of games to play. I really enjoyed the different slot machines. I took advantage of the Spa my second day and I was very satisfied with all my services. Shout out to Alyssa and Liana who did a fantastic job with my facial, manicure and massage. The Spa is very clean and well organized. Definitely recommend checking out. But be mindful that all services automatically charges 20% gratuity. They have several restaurants and a bar in the casino area along with a cute little gift shop. The coffee shop is downstairs on the other end of the hotel. When I arrived they had plenty of parking. It can seem like a nuisance to drag luggage from the car and have to cut through the casino to get to the front desk. I also attended an event in the conference area that was fun as well. And it wasn't that expensive. Overall, I had a wonderful time here and I will definitely come back again in the future.

Fantastic and very beautiful casino in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. The rooms are absolutely amazing and both the hotel and casino are great! The selection of slots and number of them ensure that you can almost always get your machine. The buffet is the best we have had at a casino, and is very reasonably priced. Every Wednesday has a 30% discount on the buffet. The Noodle bar and Italian restaurant are top notch as well. The payouts seem to be very generous as well!

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The overall cleanliness is unacceptable — everything feels dirty and neglected. The pools are very dirty, and the jacuzzi that is advertised simply does not exist. The service is terrible, and the staff look tired, unprofessional, and untidy. The food in the restaurant is awful — absolutely tasteless, the dishes are dirty, and even the tables are sticky and not properly cleaned. The dining area feels old and unpleasant. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is depressing. There is literally nothing to do here — no entertainment, no energy, nothing modern. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such a high rating. The hotel looks like it hasn’t been renovated since the 1990s. Everything — from the furniture to the decor — feels outdated. Maybe this place would be fine for people in their 70s or 80s who just want a quiet place to sit, but for anyone younger who expects comfort, cleanliness, and a nice experience — I do not recommend this hotel at all. It’s a waste of money.

Really beautiful and clean rooms. I stayed here when on a work trip. Multiple places to eat. Room service and valet available. I don't gamble but the casino floor looked well run. The only complaint is there is a smoking section in the casino and that smell travels throughout the entire floor. No smoking in or near the hotel rooms though. No children allowed. Nice pool.

Mt. Airy casino was kind to me during my visit. Had the buffet with some other family members and we really enjoyed it. Baked and fried fish, shrimp, excellent soup, fried chicken that was nice and moist. Peanut butter cake and ice cream for desert. Had so much can't remember everything. Dinner buffet was 40 dollars a person. I would encourage everyone to give it a try. Next stop was the casino floor. Soon as I walked out of the buffet I found an older quick hits machine that was screaming at me to play it. Played for an hour and walked away 300 dollars up! Of course I lost all of it by the end of the night. Had a great time and broke even.

We did a one night stay at this property and it's supposed to be an adult only casino... There's no entertainment for adults, no night clubs and the joke of what they call entertainment is setting up a few plastic cubes by the poker bar and have two people singing that you can barely hear. This place is filled with cigarette and marijuana smokers, my wife and I had to wear a mask. Totally disgusting. I would never recommend this place to anyone and do not plan on ever going back. Tom

I did not stay in the hotel, but the casino was one of the worst I have ever seen. First, the air quality is beyond poor, if you're a non smoker who values your lungs, this is not thr place for you. They have a no smoking section, but you would never know it, thr ventilation system is inadequate. Many machines are not just old but damaged. Card slot and entry keys not working on 75% of machines I played. Really couldn't review much as my lungs were irritated and my clothes smelled like smoke. Will never go there again

I cant even begin to tell you how happy my husband and I were that we decided to do this tour. Leah, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and you could honestly tell how much she enjoyed the history of the mansion and the stories. Great job Leah, thank you for being so interesting and invested! This is a must see while visiting Jim Thorpe! Everything inside was fabulous and I would go through this tour again just to take another look! 😀

Museum tour is filled with interesting facts about Asa and the Packer family. You can not tour the home alone. Tour is owned and run by the town of Jim Thorpe. Fascinating to see tech advances from the 1800s. The full mansion is not available to be toured.

We didn’t go inside, but the exterior of the mansion is impressive and beautifully maintained. It’s worth a quick stop to admire the architecture and take some photos while walking around downtown Jim Thorpe.

What a great time! This was such a worthwhile trip. Make sure you get Eric as a tour guide. I even had a question about a statue outside of the premise. They called me back and though they didn't have an answer they will call me back as soon as they get an answer.

The Queen of all historic homes!! The Asa Packer mansion is so beautiful- a definite must see if you love elegant craftsmanship and architecture. I drove 5 hours round trip in one day to tour the home and it was worth every minute! The only downfall in my opinion, is no photos are allowed inside. You have to see it to believe it.

What a cool house with wonderful history. We enjoyed our visit to this spectacular mansion so much because of Erik,our amazing tour guide. He knows every nook and cranny of this mansion along with all its historical facts. He's loves this place and it shows through his detailed tour. He really made our visit and tour special. It's so refreshing to see someone enjoy what the do for a living. Go visit the Asa Packer house and ask for Erik, you won't regret it.

Built in 1861, this Victorian Italianate architecture-style home was constructed over a span of two years at a total cost of $14,000 dollars. The Asa Packer Mansion listed as a National Historic Landmark was the home of philanthropist, railroad magnate, and founder of Lehigh University, Asa Packer, from Oct. 16, 1861, to Oct. 29, 1912. Located in Jim Thorpe, this building is recognized by a red-ribbed tin roof and a central cupola proudly atop Packer Hill with the commanding stunning views of the surrounding Pocono Mountains, where my partner, his aunt and I came for a tour today. Tickets were easily available and reasonably priced for the 1pm tour, which covered the entirety of the first and second floors. Our tour guide was a young lady (she mentioned she is a senior in high school) who obviously loves her job and is personally interested in the history of the mansion and family. From the furniture, woodwork, and stained glass to the artwork, she spoke about the history or significance. The mansion is not a restoration where pictures and video are prohibited inside. An amazing walk back in time, for which we can recommend this place.

I recently took the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway train trip out of Jim Thorpe, PA, and it was such a pleasant experience! The ride takes you through some absolutely beautiful scenery along the Lehigh River and deep into the Pocono Mountains. The fall foliage made it even more breathtaking — it’s the perfect time of year to go if you love the colors of autumn. Get there early if you're visiting during peak season — the town and the train was crowded, especially on weekends in the fall. There is no booking in advance option in this period! The train itself has a charming, old-fashioned feel, with both open-air and enclosed cars. The ride lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, and it’s just the right length — long enough to enjoy but not so long that it drags. The narration over the speakers gave us a bit of history about the region and the old railroad line, which added a nice touch without being too intrusive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and boarding was smooth and well organized. Jim Thorpe itself is a lovely little town, so it’s worth making a day of it — grab lunch, walk around the shops, and then hop on the train. Overall, the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway is a great, family-friendly experience that offers a peaceful way to enjoy some of Pennsylvania’s most scenic landscapes. Highly recommended!

Such a fun and memorable experience! The ride itself was beautiful — you can choose between open-air cars and enclosed cars with windows. The scenery through the gorge is stunning, especially in the fall. The car hosts were super friendly and pointed out interesting landmarks along the way so we could get great photos. My two toddlers loved it! We went on a Tuesday in late October and were able to buy tickets on-site. Arriving about 20 minutes before departure was plenty of time to get tickets, and board comfortably. Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Jim Thorpe!

This train is beautiful, vintage decor, great service, beautiful views. It isn't a long ride, which I was fine with, I paid about $75 pp which included a small breakfast of sausage, egg, fruit and mimosa/coffee. It was just ok for me, my husband was happy to finish his and mine. We enjoyed this very much and highly recommend it.

Scenic train ride offered for all 4 seasons including holiday themed rides - highly recommended! Definitely suggest arriving early as tickets for certain rides are first come first serve. I also recommend trying to sit on the right side of the train as the left side you'll mainly see the mountain side. Also dress for the weather because, at least on my visit, the train cars are not climate controlled.

This was a fantastic fall experience. The town and the train ride were an amazing end-of-fall must-do. The town itself was lovely and had plenty to do. I recommend bringing a blanket if you’re visiting late fall with little ones. The prices vary depending on your seat, ranging from $22.00 to $24.00 for adults and $9.00 to $10.00 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the train booth, not online. The train ride is 45 minutes.

Beautiful views. Have been 4 times in the last Couple years. Only improvements I could suggest is adding more comforts and heating to the open air cabin, and having the docents be more informed to be able to answer questions. We asked the one in our car about something In the area that the voiceover presentation had mentioned but he knew nothing.

A cute experience to enjoy while visiting Jim Thorpe. We arrived just in time to jump on their noon time ride on a November week day. There were plenty of tickets available for the later rides as well. The track you go on isn’t the most exciting or scenic, but it was fun to take a ride on the train. The best part was the narrator and train staff. They did a great job telling stories and keeping people engaged.

Nice park. Everything was chill and smooth. Rides were good and my kids enjoyed everything. The only thing that was a big problem was the fact that my wife and I waited in line for more than an hour to order food at the bar for our kids. It was really annoying watch 1 person try to service the bar and the guests ordering food. She handled everything professionally and quickly but it's sad that she had no help.

I'm so disappointed. I went with my husband and 2 kids we went because my son wanted to go for his bday which is 9/3 which clearly they are closed which is understandable this is why we went on 8/31 we got there early so we didn't have any issues with waiting on long lines . If you ask me the price for parking is absolutely insane $12 to park far away $35 if you want " mid " way and $40 dollars of you just wanna walk up about 15 or so steps 🤦 so before we even enter the park we are already paying $40 for parking . Then we purchased 4 day passes which was about a hundred and 40 something I believe my husband said . Anywho so the temperature showed it was about 69 going up to 73 I believe so yes the sun was shining and hiding because it kept coming in and out . So first we walked over to the lazy river 🥶🥶🥶🥶 omg that water was absolutely freezing cold I don't know how people were even in the water freezing there behinds but I just couldn't it's a " Lazy River " not a frozen riven you are supposed to go in and just relax . Alot of life guards had on sweaters everywhere you looked there were people wrapped with towels because it was so 🥶🥶🥶🥶 you just couldn't enjoy the water . Then we walked over to the Olympic pool we walked in and pretty much wet our legs because it was so cold you couldn't even swin and enjoy it . Then we tried the wave pool 🤦🤦🥶🥶🥶🥶 another area of water that had freezing cold water . Which completely sucks because you pay money to go to a water park you figured the water would be enjoyable but nope that's not the experience we had . So while I was shivering on a beach chair wrapped in my towel I decide to call guest services to see if anything could be done . So I explained how we paid money to park and enter the park and we aren't able to enjoy ourselves because everything is extremely cold is there some type of compensation we can receive maybe some type of discount to return next summer but I simply got told NO ! once your ticket is scanned there really isn't much that can be done . So I told the guy so basically we spent almost $200 to come in and just touch cold water he's like a there's nothing we can do . And don't get me started on the price of the snacks in there 🤦 talk about highway robbery a bag of m&m was $6.00 freaking bucks for a regular small bag a small bag of chips was like $5.00 bucks 🤦 a small drink from the fountain machine was $2.50 smh . It really sucks that we went and drove 2 hours to come and enjoy this park and that's the last thing we did because the water was way to cold to enjoy . So that is why I'm only leaving 1 start because we were extremely disappointed and my son did not get to enjoy his bday after we traveled for about 2 hours . So we came back home disappointed.

Staff is very friendly and professional. Rides are well-maintained. Parking seems a bit on the expensive side ($12, $30 or $40), but whatever. Great variety of food stands.

Great outdoor water park. The kids loved it. I highly recommend renting a cabana for the day as it used it to take a break and get lunch and to rest in between all the rides.

It is great that they are doing Fireworks Fridays this Summer! Open to the Public at 7:30pm and typically piared with some kind of entertainment leading up to the Fireworks. Enjoy some Rita's, Beer, and food and have.an enjoyable evening with the family.

This place is crowded like crazy on Sundays. DO NOT GO! Price is cheap but that makes the crowd VERY HUGE. Line is about 1hr wait so we bought the $30 express pass. BUT! Express lane has the same lane as the normal lane, we had to ask people to move away to go through the line. PEOPLE LITERALLY THOUGHT WE WERE CUTTING THE LINE and they were mad. We had to explain. And it’s frustrating and embarrassing. Aside from that, the slides were fun. Side note: I would suggest going to other water parks, unless you want to save money.

Had a great time. Went down the 1000 ft. line since the 4000 ft. line was not operating. The mountain slide was okay. You too Groupon off you want a deal on tickets.

Will never stay here again. Booked a room with a balcony, got a patio on the first floor looking at a brick retaining wall and electrical boxes. When asked, was told it could be a balcony or patio. Can't seem to find that disclaimer anywhere. But the best part was the mold in the room. I have COPD and couldn't under why my lungs felt bad. Didn't notice the mold until the morning we checked out. When I mentioned it to the front desk, her response was I'll call maintenance. No apology, no discount. NOTHING. OH, and let's not forget the late night text, after midnight, regarding our valet parked truck. Came in and nobody at the valet desk. Gave key to the front desk but apparently that wasn't communicated to the correct person. Hence the text, claiming an issue with our vehicle. My husband, in a panic, heads to the desk at 6am to find out everything was fine. How about a text saying that. Plus, they don't answer the phone when you call the front desk. Wish I could share the mold pictures...and our shitty patio view.

I was there last weekend, a very large ski resort, it has everything, a variety of parking from $12, which is a little far, to $35, which is right at the entrance, lots of very nice staff, always providing excellent service with a smile, the guests on site were also very nice, everyone helps if someone falls. We were there on the last weekend of the season, so there were only 3 lifts, but the variety of trails is wide for all levels, ages, etc., I will definitely go back there next year, there is a bar and restaurant inside the site (a sports bar like that) it was amazing, great prices and good quality! In conclusion: it is suitable for all types of people, young people, couples, families, etc. A very interesting place worth trying!

Oh all the staff are so friendly and helpful!!! So absolutely amazing!! They had activities for the kids too! One night was a magic night with a magician! Then they had arts and crafts and last but not least a person who came to talk about snakes and actually brought live snakes!!! Amazing! All of the staff super awesome to the kiddos and just wow!!!

I should have read the reviews beforehand, as all the negative feedback turned out to be true. I’ve never been to a ski resort where I had to pay for parking, and the prices were outrageous: $45 or $50 for premium parking. To make matters worse, I later discovered a hidden/further $12 general parking lot which was not offered from the beginning. Buying tickets online is cheaper than in person, but the process of creating an account is unnecessarily complicated—be prepared for the hassle. Costs were steep across the board: $120 for the lift ticket, $70 for rentals, $50 for parking, and $25 for food/drinks. The resort’s operations were disappointing. Only 1 out of 2 magic carpets was working, and several lifts were down, creating long lines with no staff to manage the flow where two lines merged into one. Seating areas were scarce, both for resting or simply leaving your gear while entering bars or restaurants. The slopes were fantastic in the morning but became dangerously icy in the afternoon. The only positive thing was that the employees help with putting on your boot rentals. While the resort is large and can accommodate a lot of people, it leads to overcrowding, making it difficult and unsafe to navigate the slopes with so many people falling. For the price, the comfort and experience do not match the cost.

We had a great time snowboarding at camelback. It’s about 2 hours from the city and 20-30 minutes from the Poconos. We went on Saturday and was pretty busy - as expected. But the rental section was very organized and efficient. The prices do go up closer the the date , so I recommend buying your tickets in advance ! The lift lines were about 10-15 minutes wait time. trails were well groomed but got icy towards the late afternoon. Really cool lodge on top of the mountain with nice views , good food & drinks. There’s even live music in the main lodge at night.

Excellent large Outlet mall! Tons of stores and something for everyone. Public restrooms and tons of free parking. We appreciate that the walkways are covered and protected from the rain. Some places don’t offer low “outlet” pricing, but there are lots of deals and good prices if you look around.

The Pocono Premium Outlets offers a vast variety of great outlet stores and a few restaurants. The mall was very clean and had plenty of available parking. I’d certainly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for some outlet stores with great deals!

Good evening Google Family. I visited to purchase some jackets and some much needed footwear. I visited the Five Below first to see if they had blue light glasses and they did. April, the associate, helped me to find them. I purchased three pairs on the self checkout, and paid cash for them. Then I left and used the rest rooms. They were clean and neat. Then I searched for a place for footwear. I need shoes badly. I have enough sandals. I need shoes for the fall and some boots. I spotted Famous Footwear. I have purchased many shoes and sandals from this merchant. I found a pair that I liked, I tried them on and I decided to go with the 10 size instead of the 9 1/2. My shoe size is 9 1/2 but I felt the 10 would be more comfortable on my toes. I tried them on, both of them, went with the 10 and then I paid for them, by debit card. Katelyn was the Assistant Store Manager and she was very nice and efficient. They had places to sit to try on the shoes in the front of the store. Also I looked on the clearance racks, but I didn't find anything interesting. I would visit this location again. I had a good experience here. Pocono Premium Outlets is an absolute shopper’s paradise! The prices are fantastic, making it easy to score amazing deals on quality brands. The variety is incredible — from clothing and shoes to home goods and accessories, there’s truly something for everyone. The stores are well-organized, the staff is friendly, and the whole shopping experience feels relaxed and enjoyable. Whether you’re hunting for bargains or just browsing, this place is worth the trip!

This place has seen better times. You see the parking lot full of cars but I don't know where people are. You walk into the stores and see more employees than customers. Customer service is nonexistent in many big stores like Calvin Klein where I walked in and saw a group of employees talking between them and nobody greeted us or offered to help. I was a few minutes browsing the shelves and left without buying and without any of the employees asked us at any point if they could help us. Another issue with this outlet is that some time ago they had printed directories of the stores and their location within the mall and they stopped printing them. I do agree with saving money and benefit the environment by not printing those guides but they should be more billboards to help customers find what they're looking for. Billboards exist but not in sufficient numbers so you have to unnecessarily walk around which is not good if weather conditions are bad. The directories you can find online on a format that you can download and print are not accurate. Some stores are not longer open while others have changed their locations.

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is a lovely nature escape in this part of Pennsylvania. It’s easy to get to, with a large parking lot that makes arrival stress-free. Admission is about $10 per adult, which you pay at the bookstore inside. They’ll give you a wristband for hiking, which gets checked as you enter the trail area. All of the trails start from the same main point, making it simple to navigate. The sanctuary has a small but informative indoor space with educational displays about birds of prey and the local ecosystem, along with a nice little gift shop. Facilities include vault toilets, which are basic but appreciated after a hike. Right next door, there’s a beautiful garden worth strolling through, as well as an amphitheater for events. The trails are well-marked, and the lookouts offer peaceful views—especially lovely during migration season. While the vistas aren’t the most dramatic you’ll ever see, they’re still scenic and satisfying after a short, accessible hike. Overall, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is a great option for a relaxed day trip—whether you want to learn about raptors, enjoy a few miles of hiking, or just soak in the fresh mountain air.

For the big loop that covers most of the sanctuary, some parts are mark as Difficult while some are Most Difficult. About 1000ft of elevation, though you can take it just as fun with good pace and caution. Very rocky, definitely should have hiking shoes/ boots for traction and watch your steps. If you do the big loop of over 5 miles, counterclockwise is better imho as you hike and the North lookout is rewarding towards the end, also you can see better for the boulder parts. Family friendly with different levels of fitness, small kids can check out the garden and around visitor center. Well marked trails. Shorter hike can be done from South to North lookout for all the good view. Then if you climb from there, you’re committing to the challenge by clockwise route. Plenty of parking spots, nice and very helpful volunteers. Bring your binoculars and some snacks to enjoy the amazing views of the birds

Nice hikes, if not a little challenging. I did the Outer loop ( river of rocks trail and then took the golden eagle trail up to the north lookout). Lots of scrambling, which was fun. Make sure you have good shoes on. Total was about 5 and a half miles of hiking. Saw some vultures and the view was beautiful.

I'm 76 and the trail was very manageable. Beautiful view on the north lookout- helpful staff. Suggest going early before school classes arrive although birds don't start moving until it warms up (thermals). Visitor center is great.

Absolutely beautiful!! This is a must see there are different trails for everyones ability beautiful walk takes about 2 hours if you take your time to get to the top where the views are. 4 to 5 hours for the difficult trail start early.

Great hiking, access, and education. And you can make it as easy or hard as you want. I’ve done all of it, and it’s well worth the cost of entry. This last time my 5 year managed to hike from the south to north lookouts and had a blast.

Pennsylvania is so wonderful for hiking. Just an endless parade of mountains to explore and climb. This was my first experience paying for admission in PA to a state park sized recreation area. I'll be back again to really experience the trail when the crowds thin out. Beautiful views to the north over rolling farmlands. On arrival we were guided to the parking lot furthest from the park office by an army of hi-vis vested personnel. The final vest did some male bonding with the car to park after us. He told the visitor that this wasn't his "real" job and they both had a cute chuckle. Walked to the park office skipping the very nice native plant garden we've enjoyed on a previous visit. 2 adults 20 dollars to hike. Put on the paper bracelet. Checked out the native plant sale. Wanting. Started the hike after interacting with the 10th employee since we've parked. They've all got to greet! Trail continued to first overlook and immediately went to poop. Meaning typical Pennsylvania arid, rocky summits. I'm quite comfortable and will be back. However, when an amusement park's worth of visitors have to watch every step the entire hike they can't afford to be polite for their own safety so they just run into each other. It is bizarre that there happens to be some fake park ranger every 5 feet but they haven't pulled the rocks in the trail out. There were so many employees out that I just had to ignore the greetings after a while to stay sane. We saw 1 hawk. There were 2 songbird species on our hike. At the hawk overlook 1/3 of the area was taken up by, again, staff. They were teens with official vests that read "trainee". You can see a disappointed visitor in one of my photos. On a hike such as ours during peak season peak days you can expect to be in view and earshot of other hikers the entire time unless pushing out on far loops. A great number of parents exhibited anxiety and distress that their child would be hurt. Saw one boy scout flop down on rocks but he was crying 4 nothing. Bring first aid kit and instant ice packs if possible. The overlooks were the most crowded places with a mob of people unable to enjoy space because of the crowd. I can understand why they'd want such an excessive staff around to control the crowd. They haven't provided a venue suited for it and people could get hurt trying to find a space for their family to relax or take a photo. Overall, if this is what privatization of state parks would look like, count me waaaaaaay out. The long benches are an example of hostile design. See photo. Arm in the middle so a visitor can't lie down. WHY? I hope that boy scout is ok.

Absolutely beautiful outdoors store. Large two floors of everything needed for the trip or sports you take or do. You can even pay your Cabels credit card bill there. And use your points you collected using the credit card.

It’s like a big shopping store for hunters, fisherman,sports enthusiasts and outdoorsy types. We love walking through the enrapture store with our list to find essentials for our next adventure.

Absolutely wonderful store. This is perfectly positioned for my travels with my rv. They allow RVs to park for shoppers and the store is amazing! This is the largest store they have! It’s massive!!! I always shop here when I’m coming through on my travels and the huge parking lot allowing space for RVs to park works perfect for my tiny camper.

There was a lot to look at! Lots of taxidermy displays! Cool aquarium and lots and lots of fishing and hunting items. There are clothes for men and women. Boots and socks and jackets. Kayaks, quads and utvs too. Four stars for over priced everything!

This is top notch hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking ANYTHING outdoors. The amount of inventory is unbelievable. The animal displays are mountains high. On those mountains; mounted animals with signs of what each animal is. Not only is it one of the best shopping experiences but it is educational. They even have a target practice area reflecting the gold mine era. (So cool!) My son and I visited for 3 hours and honestly could have stayed longer. Thanks Cabela’s for having us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You could spend hours in this store. There is so much to look at and the store is very neatly organized. The walk through aquarium and deer exhibit are pretty cool and I’m sure people of all ages enjoy it! There is even a second floor!

1st time I camped here I had am amazing experience but the 2nd time I had a bad experience so im giving this place 2 and half star. We rented Camp group site C for and bought firewood and charcoal and used there BBQ grill. I spent totel of about 1000$ for a 1 night camping experience. For a large group. First off, The view was amazing. ( could of been better) The service at the front office is amazing. The camp ground workers are horrible and lazy. The security and camp ground police are amazing and respectful. I felt very safe. Things that PISSED ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right in front of the camp tents are 2 giant trailers ruining the entire view. I asked the camp ground workers to move it and they said no because they cant move them. So now I paid 700 bucks to stare at trailers all day long when I could of stared at the mountain and nature. Also when we were playing infront of the tents, we had to crawl under the trailers to get the ball and Frisbee. It was annoying to deal with. They could of parked it anywhere else. Even 15 feet to the left and it would of made the world of a difference. The portable bathroom that they had near the site was extremely Dirty!!!!!! You can tell no one cleaned it in weeks. No toilet paper and pee everywhere. We just drove to the base of the camp to use the bathrooms at the office. The ziplining and rope course and summer adventure stuff opens at 10 and close at 4!!!!! Which means after we checked in at 3pm we couldn't even do the activities except for taking the lift up the mountain. This place is designed for people who go camping for multiple days. Not good for camping 1 night!!!!! The garbage bins were clean and the campfires were nice and organized. The grass was cut good. The tents were beautiful. Showers were clean. The parking lot is spacious. The view from the Summit was amazing. The stargazing at night was breathtaking. Overall I was going to give it 2 stars but because I had a good experience the first time I gave it 2 and half stars. The camp ground workers ruined the experience for us. I wish I could of went to another camping resort and tried other place instead of this place.

Nice atmosphere, our waiter, Conner was excellent and friendly. He was great. The food was at best, mediocre. It was our first visit and will return in the hopes that the menu items will improve. Cocktails were also excellent.

Great experience. They let you pick your own Tent site if you are early enough and it isn’t crowded. I definitely recommend camping here. I also tried the restaurant out and it was really amazing and fairly priced.

Blue Mountain Resort is a fantastic winter destination with plenty of activities for all ages. The skiing and snowboarding trails are well-groomed, offering options for beginners and experienced riders alike. The lifts are efficient, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our visit was the tubing area. There are three hills dedicated to tubing, and unlike many other resorts, they were not crowded at all. This meant little to no wait time, allowing us to go down the slopes multiple times without long lines. The runs were fast and exciting, making it a perfect activity for families and groups looking for some winter fun.

We came here for mountain biking race. The event was well organized. It was different to see it in the Fall. My family used to come here in winters and skied so many times that it has a dear spot in my heart. Now we have another reason to visit it!

I went to a wedding there on May 25th 2025 and it was hands down one of the best venues I've ever been to. Gorgeous views and a beautiful lodge. Staff was great as well

Absolutely beautiful driving through the Gap and checking out the trails!

Should be called "no-toll booth", at least for now. Love passing into the serenity.

This zoo has a special place in my heart! The entire staff is so wonderful and you can tell they love the animals. I highly recommend their animal encounters (feeding the giraffe, meet a penguin, etc.), it would be a dream come true for any animal-lover! I got to meet an African penguin and nearly passed out from the excitement! Their winter spectacular is also a must-visit experience. It is just such a gem and I’m so grateful to have this place in the Lehigh Valley! Very kid-friendly!

A cute little zoo situated in the middle of forest. You may see animals on the road while going there. It is small in size, but hosting many animals like giraffe, penguins, wild cat, eagles, parakeets, goats, etc. Sessions for feeding anomals need to be booked in advance. It's a fun place to spend a day with children especially. Pandas are cute and a beauty to watch. Food is available for a reasonable price inside. Zoo admission I found a bit expensive compared to Lake Tobias which was 19$ including a wild life safari. Leigh zoo costs 16$ just zoo visit. There was free car parking available.

We absolutely loved this zoo. The giraffe feeding was the highlight of our time there! The fact that we were able to be so close to all the animals was amazing. Usually, I've seen a lot of zoos put more space between the visitors and the animals. Here, the cages are up, but you are right there...it just seems amazing. Its a large zoo with so much to experience. You will just have to visit this zoo.

This was such a cute, fun, and clean zoo. It was great for my little family the staff members were all so kind and the food from their picnic area was delicious. Our highlights were getting to feed the giraffes from the platform and all the little fun things to include the little water crossing and Buffalo when leaving. My toddler is still talking about the creek crossing. Highly recommend checking this place out.

When I was a kid, we would go on a field trip that the bus drive through the creek on the way out. Vivid core memory. No one else remembered. I thought I was crazy until today. We brought the kids and the grandparents to the Lehigh zoo. I was so happy to leave and find that I didn't make this adventure up in my head. Great day. Accessible for Grandma in the scooter and great aunt with a walker.

Its a great zoo if you have little kids. Unfortunately my girls are teenagers now so they're outgrowing this place. But we loved feeding the giraffes and it was still a great dat Y!

The kids have been multiple times and do the zoo camp in the summer so I am not rating the zoo as a whole cause it’s a good day for the price . I am rating the giraffe painting experience. The biggest downside is the cost. At 250 it is not a good value for your dollar . Yes it includes admission and 1 painted canvas (not per participant) and a feeding but it is more a $195 experience . If we didn’t ask questions about the giraffes the keeper didn’t offer any fun facts or lessons …. You get more animal information from the free penguin feeding program from their keepers than from a paid experience with the giraffes. The kids had fun , the pictures are great but not worth the money . Lower the cost OR include a canvas per person AND a keeper who is giving an insider look at the day in the life of a giraffe, his habits and fun facts. It would have been 💯 worth the cost if these upgrades are made. For now do not recommend .

Nice little local place exploring in a Crystal cave.... the staff were nice and helpful... our tour guide Jamie was excellent while exploring the cave. Nice little gift shop, plenty of bathrooms that were clean. Plenty of seating areas for picnics. They have a small restaurant and an ice cream shop. Also a hiking trail if you want to walk around in the woods to see nature. I'd recommend you go early... it opens at 9am but things don't get rolling till about 9:45am for the first tour into the cave. By the time we were exiting the cave it started getting crowded but things were still flowing nicely. Overall experience was great, prices where fair on crystals, minerals and fossils. You can buy a bag of crystals or fossils and take it to the water truff to shift through and find crystals and fossils. My boys had a great time will visit again when we are coming through Rt422 into Reading Pennsylvania!

First time at Crystal Cave with the kids. Went early at 1035 am, had our tour at 1050 am. Nicola our tour guide was lively and very knowledgeable. The walk to the cave from the parking lot was steep. There was a 15 min intro movie before getting into the cave. The cave was cold so bring a sweater and wet in certain areas so wear the proper shoes. Cave itself was very interesting and such a nice learning experience. Kids wanted to do mini golf afterwards. It's cash only at the mini golf stand but you can pay by card at the trading post and they give you a voucher to take back. There is also a nature trail which we didn't get to do due to the impending storm coming in. The kid's got to do some gemstone panning which they truly enjoyed. Would come again as it was a lot of fun. We didn't eat there but looked like basic fast food. The gift shop was neat and there is a mini museum to see as well.

Cool place to bring the family!! They have an amazing cave tour that will make you laugh. We went here for my nephews birthday, he enjoyed every minute!

This was such an amazing lil tour...it is small the cave but the tour is what made it even better..I'd def the tour an movie is about a hour-isg .Our tour guide was so nice and so much history.. showed us so many cool little things you'd never notice!! 20.00pp for the tour but .. worth it ..if you see how well kept the place is ..the $ for the tour is Worth it . I couldn't believe people would be tied together and holding a ladder climbing over rocks to go to church 🤯The staff in the store was very friendly and welcoming. They have a lot of cute things to buy .I'd love to come back in Oct for the lantern

Perfect place to take the kiddos. Dress warm for the cave and be prepared to walk up a steep incline with stairs to get to the cave, watch a 12 minute video about the history of the cave, and there are also stairs inside the cave leading to the top as well as places where you have to duck or potentially brain yourself. It's worth the trip for the glittering minerals, hand dipped ice cream, panning for gemstones, and most importantly, watching your children create core memories to share for years to come.

My boyfriend and I visited on 9/14/2025 and had a wonderful time! No wait and we had an awesome tour guide named Jada who really made the overall experience great! I’m not sure which was more enjoyable, the cave itself or the gift shop! I would suggest calling ahead if you plan to visit later in the day! This is not wheelchair accessible! If you have trouble walking, standing or using steps I would not suggest visiting! Make sure to bring a jacket!

Went on a Friday afternoon & were able to get right in for the next cave tour (tour was starting in about 10 mins from time we got there). $20 ticket (per adult..children up to age 11 are cheaper). Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly & made the tour entertaining. After our tour we went into the gift shop & got a few things to remember our trip by. Reasonable prices & a large variety of items available. They do have group rates for larger parties (which I suggest buying tickets in advance) & hours sometimes vary depending on certain months or holidays & they are closed for the winter months so best to check their website. They offer other things like mini golf, gemstone panning & icecream parlor (again check their website to make sure these will be open when you go). Unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible to see the cave & there is a lot of steps to get up to the beginning of the cave plus a lot of walking throughout the cave. Where comfortable shoes (I suggest sneakers) & even if it’s hot outside, bring a sweatshirt or light jacket because inside of the cave itself, it’s in the low 50°’s. Definitely a cool part of PA & USA history and fun for all ages
