Very nice relaxing Little village. Would be five stars if the Mayflower 2 was actually there to visit. We visited unknowing the ship would be at sail getting coast guard certified the same day. The Shop owners along the pier we're very nice. Once you park there are plenty of nice little restaurants in walking distance to grab a bite and drink. Parking is reasonable with I think a 4 hr max for like 6 dollars.

While underwhelming in size, it is a monumental symbol in American history. The monument that the Plymouth Rock is in is beautiful and gives visitors a good view of this iconic symbol of the Pilgrims arriving in North America. Enjoy the other sights around including Mayflower II and the other monuments around town.

Plymouth Rock is exactly what you’d expect — a rock engraved with “1620.” It’s an iconic piece of history, but a quick stop overall. The rock sits low on the beach behind metal bars, with a viewing platform above for easy viewing and photos. It’s conveniently located right by the water and in the center of town, making it easy to visit while exploring the area. There was a state park worker on-site to answer questions, though their knowledge was somewhat limited. Still, it’s worth a visit for the historical significance and the chance to see such a well-known American landmark in person.

I haven't visited the landmark in many years, but went to show someone up from Rhode Island who had never seen it. The Plaques of historical data were new to me, the statue of the Daughters of the American Revolution was as well. I am a true Daughter of the American Revolution myself, passed on through the generations of my father's Mother, so I was happy to send the picture of the statue to my 95 year old grandmother, who is in Florida still driving and playing bridge! The Mayflower II is still a beautiful site. We saw the three monuments and the Standish Monument in the distance, all in about 20 minutes. Of course there are wonderful restaurants, gift shops, and ice cream, etc. along the waterfront, by the famous rock, as well.

Nice historic town with beautiful sightseeing. Walking is easy and protected. There are plenty of food choices and to stay for a weekend relaxing experience.

Plymouth rock itself is not much to look at. But the general seaside spot is good for a touristy trip. However the Mayfair ship section is quite interesting and the small museum pays homage to the first arrivals.

Honestly disappointed. My family is glad we went for the experience. But truthfully we were really let down. The recorded narration on the presentation contains inaccurate info that a simple Google search would prove to be wrong. Sorry, but getting an entire person’s (Tituba) race, culture, beliefs, and personal history WRONG just to sell the narrative is inexcusable. Very disappointed in that. And the items that were on display in the “museum” were also a let down and had very little/nothing to do with the actual witch trials at all. We saw a much better exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum, that included copies of documents and letters as well as items owned by the victims. Overall, I would never go and pay the $54 to do this again, and honestly disappointed we spent THAT much for our visit, I fully advise anyone visiting in the future to keep all these things in mind. Because after our visit, we fully understand why they don’t allow filming inside. They definitely don’t want anyone to see how underwhelming it is before going and lose their business. 🥴

The first part of the museum was a bit campy and felt somewhat dated. It wasn't terrible and I learned a good bit from it. The second section of the museum was nice and informative. Make sure to get there before your call time because even during the weekday it was very busy. During the month of October they open the tickets 12 hrs before so you have to be strategic to get the slot you want.

We visited Salem two days before Halloween, so the whole town was super fun and festive, even though the weather wasn’t great. We came across the Salem Witch Museum 1692 and decided to give it a try. It was very busy, with lines to get in, but everything was organized well. You scan a QR code on a sign to buy your tickets, and then line up about 30 minutes before your time slot. Once inside, you enter an auditorium with benches along the wall and small tufted circle seats in the middle. The show begins with the story of the Salem witch trials, told through mannequins positioned around the room, paired with lighting effects and narration. It was dramatized in an interesting way — not quite what I expected, but well done. Afterward, you move into a second exhibit area where a staff member shares more background about witches, the trials, and related cultural and historical facts. The entire experience lasted about 45 minutes. Overall, I think the experience was priced fairly. I wouldn’t have paid much more, but it was worth it to get a better understanding of the history — especially while visiting Salem during Halloween season.

I loved the experience but wish it wasn't so structured toward the end. The narrated story was very educational and unique compared to other self guided museums but once you get past that, you get ushered into a smaller room, given a ton of information really fast, and then are expected to head out without being given enough room or space to really observe or read all the displays. I would still recommend going at least once because it's one of those things you just have to do at least once. But I won't go out of my way to go back unless I have a very good reason.

The Salem Witch Museum is definitely one of the most talked-about attractions in Salem, but it’s important to know what to expect before you go. This is not a walk-through museum filled with exhibits — instead, it’s a guided, staged presentation led by museum employees. The experience begins with a dramatized performance recounting the events of the 1692 Salem witch trials, using lighting, narration, and life-sized figures to tell the story. It’s informative and gives a good overview of the history, but the entire presentation takes less than an hour, so it’s a relatively short visit. Afterward, there’s a small second section with some additional information and, of course, a gift shop at the end. I’d recommend buying tickets in advance, as the museum can get crowded and time slots often fill up quickly — especially during October or weekends. Overall, the Salem Witch Museum offers an interesting, theatrical look at a dark chapter in history, but it’s more of a performance than a traditional museum. While I appreciated the storytelling aspect, I found it to be a bit overhyped given how brief the experience is. Still, it’s worth a stop if you’re already exploring Salem and want a quick introduction to the witch trials.

It was fine. I heard some not so great reviews so I just went for the ghosts that allegedly show up in the photos. The ghosts did not show up in mine. It's essentially a retelling of the events of Salem with some staged exhibits or diorama as they are sometimes called, for dramatic affect. Its worth seeing if you have the time and money. But if you're short on one the other or both, you aren't missing anything. Their gift store is however terrific, that I give 5 stars. And Fattys cookies next door are a MUST.

We had a great time at this museum. And of all the museums to choose from I'm happy with my choice of prioritizing this one. Tickets go on sale the night before (10pm) for the very next day. I did check at that time and there were lots of tickets for each slot left so I didn't buy it then. I bought the tickets online the day of (we were able to plan the day more accurately this way). Although it was busy they seemed to still be selling seats at the door. (This time of year wasn't busy in Salem in general). The presentation was fantastic. We got seats in the middle of the room but some were seated against the wall. Their experience would be drastically different as the story is told with the exhibits on the wall going around the room. You get lots of themes that would explain the witch trials that took place in Salem. It's a great starting point into the story of Salem. There's lots of books if you want to further dive into any of the themes. The experience takes at least an hour.

(Visited on 09/13/2025) A visit to the museum was the first thing I had in mind when we planned our trip to Salem. They showcased actual artifacts from the trials and gave detailed stories and backgrounds to the people affected. I also appreciated the timeline of events post Salem Witch Trials.. Also to note, the Yin Yu Tang house was such a marvel! It transports you to another place and time and gives you an insight of generational living of another culture. Kudos to the museum staff! I recommend to order your tickets online prior to visiting, going as soon as it opens, and possibly dedicating most of your day here. We parked at the Witch City Mall parking garage (~$11/day) and parked on the top floor. More spots available and you get a unique view of Salem.

SO MUCH to see! It says minimum of 2 hours but allow yourself most of the day. We didn't see it all and we were there for over 4 hours. LOTS of history and tons of interactive stuff for little ones, too! You can buy your tickets in advance for any day and they are good for anytime you want to go that day. Start early to see it all.

Easily spend a full day here. Surprising East Asian and asian art collection as well as other exhibits I didn't expect, like contemporary south Asian art. I ignorantly came expecting that the museum would be mainly about the Salem Witch Trials, which are covered with humanizing care, introspection and reflection on justice. But I came away learning a lot more about Salem, it's fascinating history and connection to the global world trade and the cultures shared through artifacts and art represented in the exhibits. There are other children friendly exhibits about the boreal Forrest and overall the exhibits are not text heavy and often contain interactive and or video media throughout.

This museum is beautiful! They have such a wide range of exhibits, and none of them were disappointing. The facilities are very clean, and every floor has very accessible bathrooms and water fountains. I highly recommend making a reservation for the Yin Yu Tang Home tour. It is a stunning! Their museum gift shop has a great variety of items from jewelry to stuffed animals and books. Great for any age!!

What a beautiful experience. We enjoyed every exhibit. We were in awe of the Tin Yu Tang home tour. The architecture was amazing. The other exhibits provided a glimpse into the past and modern art. The staff was so pleasant and there were discounted tickets for students, teachers and seniors.

We came to Salem for Halloween, but the crowds drove us into the museum. If it weren't for the parking situation we could've spent a few more hours here. OMG! What a class museum! The indeginous section was amazing as well as the South Asian Contemporary collection! (You don't see that much in the States) Definitely on the list of places to revisit!

We visited on a Friday afternoon in mid-June 2025 around 3PM. We didn't have much time in the museum and didn't really get to see it all. But we did get in for FREE with our NARM (North American Reciprocal Museum) membership pass. 2 adults and 3 kids. Parking was rough. We found spot in nearby parking lot but had to drive around multiple times. There is no parking at the museum and we couldn't fit in a garage because our minivan with cargo carrier was too tall. The parking fee was actually reasonably priced unlike the parking spaces in Boston. The security at the door was really nice and directed us to the complementary lockers and coat check area. You get the keys for the lockers from the coat check. We were able to fit our backpacks and everything in there. You can walk around the museum with water bottles. The museum stores are right at the front. There are kind of like 2 different ones divided by a hallway. The more kid stuff is in the front one near the door and the fancier stuff is close tot he inside of the museum and opens into the main atrium area. There is actually a gift shop extension just down the street a block or so which opens later than the giftshop in the museum. We didn't know they were affiliated until we tried to buy something and used our NARM discount. Unfortunately with the time we had we had to run through the majority of the museum. We didn't get to see everything even though we basically ran through everything. My favorite was all the glass stuff in the room with the balcony and also the giant floating light square. My wife liked the Salem witch trial exhibit. The museum has a weird floor layout so pay attention or you might miss something. We did have tickets as well for the Yu Tang House. It was the 5 of us and 1 other person for our time slot which was the last of the day. There was a nice person on the main floor who answered all our questions as we walked around. There was a second staffer upstairs who looked pretty grumpy and he just stared at us the entire time and honestly made us feel a little uncomfortable. We did feel a little rushed as I'm sure they wanted to close it down and be done for the day. We'd be a little more upset if we had paid more to visit. There is a pond in the middle but overall a cool thing to explore. We spent maybe 20 mins total in the house. They also gave you like plug-in headphone/earpieces to listen as well while in the house. Overall a great museum and with what we paid, even better. We would 100% visit again because we had to rush our way through the entire thing. If you're in town and want something to do, I'd put this on top of the list.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot! I could have stayed all day, especially with the perfect fall weather. I captured some amazing Boston shots during my mini photoshoot. While there were plenty of people and lots of photo-taking happening, there were also plenty of quiet corners to escape the crowds. Truly loved my time here!

The Boston Public Garden is a must-see! It's a gorgeous escape right in the middle of the city, and a perfect spot to relax and get away from all the noise. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall when the colors are just magical. I love watching the squirrels play and taking a stroll along the paved pathways. The famous Swan Boats on the lagoon are a charming sight, and the park is great for all ages. It's completely free to enter, open from dawn to dusk, and super easy to get to with the Arlington and Boylston T stops nearby. Don't forget to say hi to the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue! It's a beautiful, peaceful place that's perfect for a walk, a date, or just unwinding.

An oasis of greenery in the heart of the city, it is perfect for strolling, relaxing, and enjoying the peace and splendor of nature. Its elegance and romantic atmosphere make it one of the most special and beautiful places in Boston.

We love this place! It’s serene and peaceful. This time around, we rode on the Swan Boat which was so nice since the last time we were here was in the Fall and the lake was empty. So glad we were able to check it out in the Summer. Be aware if it’s hot outside, the Swan boat is open so you are exposed to the sun and the elements, but you get a nice breeze from the water.

Loved visiting the public garden. It was so beautiful when we visited. Each tree has a history behind it and a plaque attached telling you where it’s originally from. Lots of space and great for families

Boston Public Garden, located just steps from Boston Common, is truly one of my favorite places in the city! A very beautiful garden in a very dirty city. This place was great to visit during my time in Boston, especially since everywhere in this city is filled with trash, more trash than I’ve ever seen in a city and that includes Seattle and New York. This garden was well kept, had so many places to walk and see it was just a great experience, do yourself a favor and check it out!

This place not only has a great deal about the whaling industry in general, but also how it affected New Bedford’s growth as a town. Fascinating to see all of the ways the immigrants came from across the globe to the US/New Bedford due to whaling and also how they helped contribute to US history for hundreds of years. The museum strikes a balance between showing the usefulness of whaling and details about how things were done, and a realization that while at first the whaling was a helpful source for humans eventually it became too much due to superfluous desires of materials goods and led to the large population decline of the whales. There’s a lot to see, we spent a couple of hours and plan to go back as we couldn’t take it all in. Additionally there are some areas for smaller kids specifically which is nice for the whole family.

Took my daughter here thanks to Bank of America Museum on Us program. It's small enough to spend an afternoon (unless you really dig into the facts and history). They got friendly staff members and volunteers. The 3D movie was also a pleasant experience.

This museum is hard to find, but it is well worth it. It is incredibly interesting and full of all kinds of New England whaling memorabilia, including a replica of a whaling ship. There are skeletons of whales and just an incredible amount of interesting things in this museum. I must’ve spent at least an hour in just the scrimshaw room alone. I can’t recommend this Museum enough.

An Incredible Cultural and Educational Experience! I brought my family to the New Bedford Whaling Museum to experience the Indigenous People’s culture, and the exhibit exceeded my expectations! It was beautifully curated and deeply informative. Parking can be a little tricky to find, so I recommend arriving early. Once inside, though, it’s absolutely worth it. The 3D sea lion movie was a highlight for all of us — so fun and engaging! There are so many exhibits about the whaling industry, marine life, and ocean habitats, and they really make you reflect on the history and importance of conservation. It even inspired me to plan a whale watching trip soon! If you love history, culture, and the sea, this museum is a must-visit. 🌊🐋

On the one hand this museum was an amazing history of whaling and the local environment. But on the other hand, it bears witness to the wholesale slaughter and near extinction of whole species of whales, and so it's also very depressing. But I learned a lot and enjoyed my visit overall.

WOW - this is a fantastic museum. It captures the rich history of whaling in New Bedford and so much more. Ecosystems, multi-cultural contributions, half-scale whaling ship model, indigenous-colonist relations, etc, etc. Worth many visits. I will return.

My husband and I toured the NB Whaling museum on Tuesday afternoon. The facility itself is beautiful and the exhibits are self explanatory. However, we had the priviiedge of a free tour of the museum beginning at 2 PM. The tour was conducted by an excellent docent who really knew everything there was to know about New Bedford in general but most especially about whales. His knowledge was extensive and presented in a very nice fashion, encouraging participants to ask questions on several occasions. The tour really made our day at this museum, so if you go to the museum, be sure that you ask at the front desk about free tours. You won't regret the experience.

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is incredible. There’s so much to see, from classic masterpieces to contemporary exhibits, and it’s really easy to spend a full day exploring without feeling overwhelmed. The galleries are well laid out, and the museum does a great job of balancing large, famous pieces with smaller, hidden gems! I love how interactive and engaging some of the exhibits are, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The museum has a really welcoming atmosphere, and I always leave inspired and wanting to come back. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a fun, cultural day out, the MFA is definitely worth visiting!! :)

Absolutely amazing museum! Where shall I start?! Egyptian art, European art, Greek and Rome art, impressionist art - blew my mind, amazing collections! Musical instruments collection - mesmerizing! And the best part they open till 10pm on Thursday and Friday. I really appreciated that!

So nice, we went twice! But actually we had a morning planned to see the exhibits and loved what we saw , but had only seen a fraction after a few hours. We went the next day when they have $5 late night tickets to see some more. There's still so much to see and it's all so interesting. The cafe was good for a lunch. The staff were all super friendly. Set aside at least a day to visit if you want to see the highlights of all the exhibits.

Extremely popular attraction for tourists and locals. Not too crowded but full and friendly. I would like to return on a quieter day. I loved the museum design and height of exhibit halls. The Japanese art collection is the most impressive in the world.

An absolute marvel of ancient history covering different cultures dating back to 200 BC with so many unique and rare artifacts on display. Looking at those artifacts recovered from Giza tomb brings a different perspective to history and how the civilization used to trive back then. Truly majestic and I would highly recommend. Asian artifacts enclosure was great too. So many exquisite paintings at display which would leave you in awe. Oh yes, did I mention a lovely concept they had going outside the museum main entrance where they have some tables setup, they give you some supplies, click your picture and you can use those supplies to decorate your pictures and get it framed. My Little ones enjoyed it a lot sitting under the shade. Parking can be a challenge and expensive too provided you reach early and find one. We parked in one of the garage and museum was walkable from there. If you are in Boston then this museum is a must see. Cheers!!

Definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend doing an hour long tour which runs throughout the day and it’s included with your admission ticket. The museum is nicely laid out in an organized fashion. There are several dining options. I was happy that there is a casual cafeteria with very reasonable priced foods. The museumwas easily accessible by train, which dropped me off right in front of the museum.

This is the best tour I’ve been on in a long time! The street and local atmosphere is something out of a movie, and the tour is very affordable and informative. The guide was fantastic, telling fun stories of his life in Boston and his 10 years working at the field. We saw everything from the original seats to the press box, the green monster, and the special VIP museum that holds World Series balls, bats, uniforms and memorabilia from over the decades. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know, especially baseball lovers. So worth the time and money!

Thanks to Kevin and Zach (apologise if I spelled them wrong) The tour was amazing! They provided clear and touchable introduction about Fenway Park, the immortal and irreplaceable history of Boston Red Sox, including each detail on and off the court, and what did here happened somethings that were truly iconic, and more little adorable sides of the park, such as Fenway Farm! I was impressed by every step I took without a doubt! It was worthy to take a tour here although there's no baseball matches now. Glad to be here to calmly know everything about Fenway!

We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don’t watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you’re in Boston.

This was my first time visiting Fenway Park, and even though my team wasn’t playing, I knew I couldn’t come to Boston without checking it out. I’m so glad I did, the energy inside the stadium was incredible! From the moment I walked in, I felt the history and passion that make Fenway such a special place for baseball fans. The crowd was electric, and what really stood out was the sense of community. The entire stadium came together, singing songs, cheering, and living and breathing every moment of the game. I felt completely swept up in the excitement. We just so happened to be there for the game the Red Sox clinched their spot in the playoffs with a walk-off win! The stadium absolutely erupted. I’ve never felt that kind of excitement at a ball game before. You didn’t have to be a Red Sox fan to appreciate the moment. Being there for that walk-off and watching the team celebrate was something I’ll never forget. Fenway isn’t just a place to watch baseball it’s a place to feel it. The atmosphere, the history, the energy it all makes for an incredible experience.

Fenway Park is one of the Mecca's of MLB that every baseball fan needs to visit in person. It was great attending a Boston Red Sox game in the one of the oldest baseball parks in America. The food was good and at a decent price, but it was the surrounding bars and restaurants around the park that made it a great overall baseball and sporting experience!

Being a Cub fan from Chicago, home to the most iconic stadium in all of sport, I must say that I continue to be impressed with the condition of Fenway Park. It's no Wrigley Field, and it being a few years older, doesn't make it "grander", but it's a fun place to see a game. The fans are pretty great, and supportive of their team, but the place emptied out long before the game was over because the Sox were getting their butts kicked. You don't ever see that at Wrigley... no matter what the score. I was in Yankee Stadium in this trip out East too, and I continued to be unimpressed with that ballpark.

Came out from California, San Francisco Giants fan. Got a real good look at this beautiful ballpark. I think what makes it special is the foul lines. Makes it look like an old ballpark I used to play in when I was 12 years old. Just kidding. But it does make it look really authentic when you're young playing baseball. We had a great time with the guide. He was very knowledgeable. And he was from California. I would strongly suggest this place if you are a baseball fan. The tour is great.

I haven’t been thinking to be like parking in years and it feels a little bit more modern than when I used to go back in the 90s. Plenty of bathrooms and it’s wheelchair accessible. If you need one, they rent one. There is food on the property and it is so so it’s your typical carnival amusement park food. The staff was super friendly even walking in through security what look like not metal detectors but scanners we had purchased our tickets online and walked in in 10 seconds the website was easy to use and we use the online map if you have young kids anywhere from the ages of 2 to 7 they have an endless amount of rides for them I was actually amazed because most amusement parks don’t focus on little kids too much. Canobie Lake Park. Does they have a great waterpark plenty of lifeguards around. I was a little sad that the train wasn’t running and the boats but everything else seem to be working fine. It appears they do sell alcohol on the property not just during Oktoberfest because there were signs that said no alcohol on this point to get on most rides, we waited no more than 10 minutes. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and a ton of bus parking and handicap spots probably the longest ride we did was walking from the front entrance to our car, which was about a 8 to 10 minute walk. I do believe you can pay to get better parking spots. We went on a Friday and they were plenty of schools and organizations that we’re having trips. Everyone look like they were having fun. The bathrooms were super clean.

Enjoyable park with water park. The park isn't too large and all the attractions are very close to each other making it very efficient to visit. Most of the riders are decent. There are good offerings for smaller kids but kids taller than 48" will have more fun. Depending on the ride, the waiting lines will advance in average every 5 minutes. To calculate your waiting time, check how many people fit per ride and guestimate how many people are waiting. One big negative for me is the average food quality that is really not great. The BBQ is likely your best shot. I hope this can improve.

Canobie Lake brings back so many nostalgic memories! We recently returned to Screemfest after years had gone by. It still has the same vibes, same rides, and same food. While some of our childhood favorites have disappeared, they have been quickly replaced with some new favorites. Untamed is by far the best ride in the park! The anticipation and excitement that followed made me want to ride it more. Other favorites include the Yankee Cannonball and the Pirate Ship. The lines aren't too long compared to other theme parks - the longest we waited was about 40 minutes for one of the haunted houses. Canobie does an awesome job with their Screemfest. The decorations and set-up were well done. My only complaint is that they shuffled the line through the houses too quickly - not much scares when you see what to expect directly in front of you. In my opinion, Carnivus was by far the best house out of the five. I absolutely love this park and will continue to visit for future generations. However, I need to let everyone know that the price is steep, and in line with more famous parks. $136 for two people seems outrageous, but I had a great time nonetheless.

We had an amazing time at Canobie Lake Park! I went with my fiancé and we absolutely loved it — especially the haunted houses! 👻 Everything was so well done and full of fun details. One thing that really caught my attention was the art piece “Helena,” it’s stunning and adds such a mysterious touch to the park’s atmosphere. The staff was friendly, the lines moved fast, and the whole experience was worth every minute. Totally recommend visiting during the Halloween season — it’s magical and spooky at the same time! 🎢🎃

Canobie Lake Park, awesome time for the family!! We spent the day, short lines on a Friday. And ALL of the fun rides and experiences we had as kids, that we can now share with our family!! Plenty of places to stay hydrated, food options are plenty in the park, but expect to pay park prices $$$ for food & drinks. A Steak & Cheese and a beer 🍺 for lunch hit the spot. Parking was free and park access was easy. Buy your tickets ahead of time, and an easy QR scan for entry. Staff was friendly and great with the whole group. Thanks Canobie Lake Park team.

We had a blast taking the kids to Canobie! It was just as much fun as I remember from when I was a kid. The food is a bit pricey (it is an amusement park) but there is a good variety, gluten free options, and allergy information available on the website. There are water fountains throughout the park so refilling a water bottle is no issue to stay hydrated! There are various gift shops and food vendors spread across the park so you are able to get snacks (and things like bandaids!) when you need them. There is also a decent amount of security officers so you can feel confident leaving a stroller at the end of a ride. There are lockers at the entrance of the park and you are also allowed to leave the park and come back (you just need to get your hand stamped) so you can securely lock items in your vehicle as well. While the park isn't huge, good shoes are a must! If you plan on visiting the water park, you will need appropriate swimwear. There are rides for all ages, but the options are the most limited for those under 36", but there are still rides available.

I’ve been going to Canobie Lake Park for over 20 years, and it’s still one of my favorite places to visit. Every time I go, I notice how well they keep the grounds, everything is clean, beautiful, and inviting. They’ve been extending the theming around the rides too, which makes it feel more special. For example, the Wizard of Oz area has a rainbow of flowers planted, and there are shaped bushes around the Davinci ride, plus gorgeous floral displays all over the park. It really gives the feeling of a small Disney park. There’s so much to do here: a boat ride around the lake, sky ride, train ride, a big water park, and plenty of games. The shows are fun, the food options are good, and there are lots of clean bathrooms and shaded seating areas. Yes, the ticket price may seem a little high, but once you’re inside the experience is worth it. It’s a full day of fun for all ages, and the park just keeps getting better.

Was disappointed to find the visitors center closed during the posted open hours. There were no rangers or anyone around. I'm sure that's due to governmental budget cuts and not the fault of park personnel. It's a beautiful park with incredibly preserved historical structures and plenty of informative signage. The trails are well-kept and there were lots of great birding opportunities and I saw turtles and frogs/froglets in the pond near the visitors center. I do plan on getting over here more since it's my local park.

Beautiful National Park with loads of American History. Walking paths galore, some shaded some without shade. Locals clearly enjoy the park for cycling and recreation. Two visitor centers, the main one has very limited hours, the North Bridge has more regular hours. Many rangers out throughout the park and available to answer questions and tell the history. Tours are also available for a fee. Park is also close to many other great historical spots in MA.

I learned so much more about American History! We only had one day to spend in the area. So we visited 3 sites: the North Bridge in Concord, the Minute Man National Historical Park in Lincoln, and the Lexington Battle Green in Lexington. We could have spent an entire week here visiting all of the Revolution sites as well as the literary sites from the Transcendentalist era, which I had no idea were so related! If you have time, rent a bike and follow the path of the British regulars as they were pushed back to Boston.

Very nice historical place, describing the beginnings of the American Revolution. I recommend the video at the visitor center and also walking the trail that connects the different building and places of interest. Concord is close by and worth visiting.

The Beginning of Independence! My daughter (13) and I visited the Minute Man National Historical Park on July 1, 2025. The Park Rangers were extremely knowledgeable and the park was in excellent condition. The Park marks the first "battle" of the Revolutionary War at Lexington & Concord. This is where things escalated to a point of no return between the British and the Colonists. Highly recommend visiting and taking in the very place that led to American Independence.

We loved this non traditional visitor center. you have to walk a ways but there ia a nice path, no stairs to the building. The mocie ia unique and aboit 45 minutes. We thought it was very good. Check the official website for times, they are different than the posted ones in the parking lot. They closed at noon because they dont have air conditioning.

An absolute MUST visit for EVERYONE who visits Massachusetts! This is where the Revolutionary War began! You are walking through History! You can just feel everything in the atmosphere! I could have spent all day here and still it wasn’t enough. Take your time, pay your respects to the events that happened here, go visit some of the museums. You will not be disappointed.

Me and my mom had a great time staying here at the Lizzie Borden house. Truly a fun way to experience history! Our tour guide (I forget her name, a shorter woman with purple-ish/red hair) was great and very informative. The mother and daughter who work there, Luisa and Tori, were amazing as well! So kind and personable. They made a wonderful breakfast and told us even more history about the house. Definitely creepy at night! If you’re a fan of dark history and spooky things I recommend, 10/10 😁 (Also the area is fun to walk. Beautiful neighborhoods and the Oak Grove cemetery is a 20 minute walk away and worth seeing!)

In my group of 3, we all had a wonderful experience. We had scheduled both the Oak Grove Cemetery tour and the Lizzie Borden House Tour with the Basement add on. We were very lucky in regards to having Nicole as a tour guide for both of the tours! We basically got private tours which allowed a more personal tour for each location. Nicole was very knowledgeable and incredibly personable. She was able to address ALL of our questions (Nicole knows lol). Nicole made our Fall River trip fun and educational! Would highly recommend.

This was an amazing experience. As a historical true crime nerd, a tour of the Lizzie Borden house has been a longtime goal of mine and it did not disappoint! Larry was a phenomenal, engaging, and knowledgeable story-teller. For me, respect for those involved in this event and understanding the facts of what transpired are most important and not so much the celebrity/gift shop type things that come with that celebrity. The staff at the Lizzie Borden home does a wonderful job of balancing this. It was incredibly eerie listening to the details of that day while in the same space. Will recommend to anyone with an interest in history, true crime, and of course, anything a bit chilling or spooky.

If I could rate higher than a 5 I would! We loved our guide Ashley, she was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable, accommodating, and overall a very sweet person! The Morse room was clean and inviting upon arrival for our stay (Abby didn’t move an inch throughout the night, so that’s a plus lol). We highly recommend the house tour with the basement add on, the ghost hunt, and staying in the infamous Morse room! Thank you so much for a great experience!

We did the tour that included the basement. It was very informative and really interesting to be able to see first hand the layout of the house and hearing the story from room to room. Our guide was Megan. She was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions. Very passionate about the house and the history. I highly recommend taking this tour!

My best friend and I stopped here for a tour on our way into Newport and we honestly had the best time! it ended up being a huge highlight of our trip and might’ve actually been the best thing we did during our entire weekend! We were absolutely obsessed with our tour guide Megan who really set the scene for us, went above and beyond, answered all of our questions, and made it so interesting. The story is so unique and we were transported back in time thanks to her captivating storytelling! It’s clear she loves her job and in turn, we loved the tour. Honestly, the entire trip, we kept jokingly saying “I miss Megan.” Anyway- do yourself a favor and stop here for a tour!! If you’re at all into ghost or true crime, you are going to be obsessed! We didn’t stay here and honestly, I don’t know that we would because we were a little scared lol but MEGAN WAS THE BEST AND WE LOVE HER!!!

Our tour of the Lizzie Borden House was absolutely incredible, and that’s all thanks to Karen! From the moment we started, she captured everyone’s attention with her storytelling, humor, and deep knowledge of the history behind the house. She has such a natural way of making the past come alive mixing eerie details with fascinating facts that kept us hooked from start to finish. Karen struck the perfect balance between spooky and informative, giving us chills one minute and laughs the next. You can tell she truly loves what she does and takes pride in giving her guests an experience they’ll never forget. If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Karen. She’s amazing and made the whole experience one of the highlights of our trip!

This June, we were thrilled to visit here since we hadn’t been in for many years. Finally, we made it. We really enjoyed it so much - all of the entire Gillette Stadium area! We spent 5 hours walking around and also went to the Lighthouse for viewing Gillette Stadium, which was amazing to see from the top. The Lighthouse attendant was meh. Later, my friend, who hadn’t been here for years, came back here with me last week, and I gave her a tour. We went back to the Lighthouse, and I asked a question to the new (top) attendant, Dylan, but he admitted that he was new. He is a very nice guy, very helpful, humble, and led us to the views with his explanation. We were very impressed with him better than the first one. I just want to say that Dylan is the best Lighthouse (top) attendant! Applaud Dylan for his excellent job!

Go Pats! We visited from out of state. Great facility for football fans. The pro shop is well stocked, the museum is great and the view from the lighthouse is spectacular! The lighthouse cost $5 per person, well worth the expense. Unfortunately, our vacation dates didn't align with a home game...

Great place! Gillette Stadium is a great place to catch a game or concert. The views from the seats are solid, the sound system is powerful, and the crowd makes every event feel bigger than life. Whether it’s a Pats game or a show the atmosphere is great. Beyond the action, the stadium itself is well-kept and easy to navigate. The food options are solid, and Patriot Place next door has plenty of spots to eat or hang out before and after. One of the coolest features is the new lighthouse making the venue stand out in a way that feels unique in Ne. If you ever get the chance to go, it’s absolutely worth it.

One of the better NFL stadiums I've been to. Very fan friendly. The ramps are gradual inclines, and there are alot of them. Food is decently priced for stadium food and is pretty good! Didn't look like there was a bad seat in the house. Overall a great experience for this Steelers fan.

Gillette Stadium is a really nice venue modern, clean, and well-organized. The atmosphere is incredible, especially on game days or during concerts. The facilities are top-notch, with great seating, good visibility from almost every spot, and plenty of food and drink options. Parking and access are well managed, and the energy of the crowd makes every visit memorable. A great place for any major event!

What a class act Patriot Nation is! I've been in the loge seats before and they were great, I've been in the Club seats before and they were outstanding, now I've been in the Luxury suites and there's nothing other than Heaven that could top it! Mr Kraft you are a serious class act! Thank you for the on field experience! The service and the food was second to none. If you ever get a chance to go to a Luxury suite you're a fool for not going! Gorgeous mansion for visiting! We bought the tickets online before the visit, arrived late but they allowed us to get in anyway. Remember to download the app per the instructions posted there and bring your own headphones/earbuds so that you can listen to the descriptions and interesting stories as you step into each room. I was mesmerized by the decorative details. The place is perfect for visiting in the fall when the weather is cooler. You could sit in the back yard enjoying the vast sky and sea and grass field. It was a delightful experience!

Be sure you bring your headphones and get the Newport Mansions app so you can listen to the tour while you visit. This mansion is an awesome place to visit and learn some of the history of some of the Rockefeller family during the gilded age. The craftsmanship is spectacular and a bit over the top, but it really is an amazing place to witness. Highly recommend a visit!! As an added note, we visited during a day in port off the cruise ship. It's definitely an easy self guided excursion you can do, just a couple miles of the port. We saved a lot of money, saw multiple properties, did the tour on our own timeframe. It's an easy Uber ride or a nice walk to the property from the ship!

Very nice experience after watching the TV series Gilded Age. This maison should be the stage for the spring social season. The decoration is competitive to the royal palace even the size of building is much smaller. The architect is for sure trained in Beaux-arts as a general requirement at that period. The ceilings of many rooms are worth to study: they are clean, simple. The Roman Empire style decoration is perfectly adapted and applied here. One beautiful case for architecture students to learn the 20 century house design with European style.

Went on a Sunday at 9am, walked from the port from my cruise, really enjoyed the walk. The Breakers was beautiful in October. Nice cool breeze from the ocean outside. The Breakers showed a lot of rooms on display. The gift shop had a little bit for everyone with decent prices as well. Took me about two hours by myself to walk through the self guided audio tour, visit the shop, and walk around outside. I did not try the cafe. There was one restroom by the front ticketing area.

Went on a rainy and foggy day. Amazing historic building. Truly a must see, the self guided tour was great. Be sure download the app and connect to the wifi near the Welcome Center. Friendly staff and just amazing overall.

When you search for things to do in Newport, this is one of the things that always pops up. We are very glad that we were able to visit the Breakers, along with two other properties. The self-guided tour was very nice and we were able to enjoy the amazing views from inside and outside. If you are able to visit when you are in Newport, we highly recommend this place.

Our recent trip to the Roger Williams Park Zoo was a perfect outing for our family, earning it a solid four out of five stars. My wife and I took our five-year-old daughter, and it was a joy to watch her excitement as we explored. The zoo is incredibly well-suited for families with young children and provides a day full of fun and discovery. ​For a five-year-old, the highlight was undoubtedly the farmyard area. She absolutely loved brushing the friendly goats and getting to see them up close. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that made her feel connected to the animals. The train ride was another big hit, giving us a playful way to see parts of the zoo while taking a short break from walking. We were also thrilled to see the giraffes towering over us and the elephants in their indoor enclosure. Seeing the golden lion tamarins and the beautiful blue hyacinth macaws in their habitats was also very special. The clear map at the entrance was a huge help, allowing us to easily navigate with our little one and ensure we saw all the animals on her list. ​The zoo's focus on conservation is a huge plus, and we felt great about supporting their mission. ​In short, Roger Williams Park Zoo is a fantastic destination for a family outing. It’s a place that creates lasting memories, and we highly recommend it. We can’t wait to go back again soon.

Highly recommended!! Truly incredible experience at the Pumpkin Spectacular! We booked tickets for 8 pm. Arrived with a fast moving line, which had no wait. Check in was a breeze and for a Saturday night it was packed but didn’t feel like so as the trails are wide enough to accommodate a crowd. The pumpkins are amazing to look at, especially the artist carved ones. One of the coolest and most do October bucket list items in New England! We parked above the zoo which was a 10 minute walk to the entrance as it was free. The lines to park were long and do create a wait. Parking is free or you can pay $15 for premium parking which the lot was quite empty for. Bathrooms are available and food trucks of fried dough, adult beverages, snacks etc. Definitely an awesome date night or a fun night out with the family

A great zoo for all age groups. There is so much to see that you can easily spend the day admiring the incredible collection of animals in a recreated microcosm of their native environment. Easy, leisurely, paved walking paths everyday along with signs and educational info on the various sights before you.

Came here for the Jack o Lantern walk, but I’ve been to the zoo proper before, albeit many years ago. Very cool attraction. It’s about a mile walk, takes about an hour to get through. Hundreds, if not thousands of pumpkins throughout. Some are very ornate. There’s some trivia related to the art on some of the pumpkins throughout as well. Great fun for all ages. This is the fourth year we’ve been and plan on returning for many years to come!

Quick trip to the zoo when we traveled through Rhode Island. Morning was a great time to go. Animals were out and it felt we had the park to ourselves with the little traffic that was there. Only downside is that they weren't fully owned but understandable since there wasn't a lot of people. We went on a Thursday morning.

We came for the Jack o lantern Spectacular and it was a great experience! So fun and beautiful art! We went on a busy Saturday night for the 9PM slot. There is free parking on the side streets or in the zoo parking lots. You can pay $15 for “vip parking” right in front of the event entrance. We parked at the back of the zoo lot and walked a little. It took us 15 min to get to the lot to park due to traffic. There are people directing you where to park in the lot. Once you’re inside, you can stroll as fast or slow as you want. We spent an hour inside. The trivia questions are fun. The answers are at the end of the path.

My wife and I went for the jack-o-lantern spectacular. This is an annual event held at the zoo in the evening. As always, it was absolutely amazing and outstanding. We both highly recommend it to anyone who wants to bring their children and or just themselves to see pumpkins car in the most artistic and fantastic way possible. There are over 5,000 pumpkins available to see, many of which are carved to be like Museum pieces of Art.

MONTAUK *Montauk: A Scenic Stop on Long Island, New York* Montauk, located at the easternmost tip of Long Island, New York, is a charming small town with a historic lighthouse. We visited Montauk by train, arriving at a simple platform-style station. Taxis are readily available outside the station, and we opted to take one to the lighthouse point. The taxi driver was friendly and reliable, dropping us off at the lighthouse and agreeing to return at 2 pm to take us back to the station. The lighthouse point itself is picturesque but can be explored within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants or refreshment options nearby, so we spent the remaining time wandering around. As promised, our taxi driver returned on time and took us back to the train station. On the way, we grabbed some snacks since there are no amenities near the station. Given the limited options, it's advisable for tourists to have their own transportation. However, if that's not possible, taking a taxi from the station is a good alternative. *Tips for Visitors* - Have your own transportation for flexibility. - If taking a taxi, confirm the pickup time and fare beforehand. - Bring snacks and refreshments, as options are limited in Montauk. Overall, Montauk's scenic beauty and historic lighthouse make it a worthwhile visit, but plan accordingly to make the most of your trip.

It’s very cool but also very small. They also have the original document from George Washington chartering the lighthouse as president in 1790, which is neat. Definitely worth going up in the lighthouse once to see the views, and then hike down to the beach for some beautiful scenery.

After living on long Isalnd for 16 years we finally decided to see the light house and it grounds. We were not disapointed a wonderul experiance. We really enjoyed the climb to the top of the light house and the museum exhibits. The views were breathtaking

It's important to note that there is no line to enter the lighthouse museum itself. However, visitors should be prepared for a long queue, with possible wait times of up to an hour to reach the top. There is only one staircase for both ascending and descending, consisting of about 137 steep, narrow, and twisting steps, which limits the number of people allowed at a time. Despite this, the experience is definitely worth it. Climbing to the top provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding landscape. Overall, a visit to Montauk Lighthouse is a perfect blend of history, education, and natural beauty. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

A must visit for anyone living, or visiting N.Y. I make it out there at least twice a year. I use to go more often when I lived on Long Island. It's so beautiful out there. I've also walked up to the top of the lighthouse, which wasn't easy, but worth it. Pack lunch, or stop at one of the restaurants on your way through. Its a nice day trip.

I was a surreal experience. We went there on a weekend. You should be there by early afternoon to have better experience. There are picnic spots near the light house too. There was line of 40-50 minutes to see the top of the functioning lighthouse.

I've been wanting to come here for atleast two year and finally made the trip here. The parking fee its $8 and if you want to visit the museum and lighthouse is $15. The museum has plenty of cool history not just of the lighthouse but of the area in generalm here you'll find cool artifacts and items related to the area. The lighthouse its self its bigger than it looks in pictures. I recommend checking out the lighthouse 1st them the museum due to a line tends to build up.restrooms are located at the entrance begind the giftshop/ticket booth. This is because only a certain amount of people are allowed at the time. Also small children and babies not allowed so keep that in mind. Its 137 steps from top to bottom. Once you reach the top the views are amazing. There's a guide at the bottom and top who will answer any questions you may have. They will also provide the instructions on how to walk up down and down the steps. Once at the top they also give you the opportunity to see the light it self which is pretty cool. As you walk the grounds you take the the stunning views. They have benches to sit and relax and take in the gorgeous ocean views. Or you can relax on the grass or walk down by the water. They also have a section behind the museum & lighthouse about the marine life in the area. Overall it was a very unique awesome experience. Definitely addex to your bucket list.

Realistic recreation of a early century village. Some of the time period tools and equipment were really interesting and all powered by animal or human. The wood lathe with the foot treadle and leather belt blew me away, although I did not get to see it in action as the representative was on break. The staff were all engaging and knowledgeable on their respective cradlfts. Definitely recommend stopping by.

Old Sturbridge Village is a true treasure for anyone who loves stepping back in time. This living history museum is beautifully done — from the authentic buildings to the period clothing, everything is designed to immerse you in the early 19th century. Most of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They were eager to share stories and fun facts about daily life in the 1830s, which made the experience feel alive and personal. The only reason I wouldn’t give it a full five stars is that a few of the “characters” didn’t seem all that enthusiastic about their roles. It wasn’t enough to ruin the experience, but it did make certain areas feel less engaging than others. Still, wandering through this recreated New England village — where mills once turned, blacksmiths shaped iron, and communities thrived — was an unforgettable experience. It’s easy to imagine what life might have been like here nearly two centuries ago. If you love history, this is an absolute must-visit, and I’d highly recommend setting aside plenty of time to explore every corner.

Historic village with restored buildings and staff that represent life in New England in the 1830s. Very educational, beautiful grounds. Fun way to step back in time and enjoy the day. Shops sell items made in the pottery shop and the tin shop. The pottery studio and printshop were our favorites, because of the interaction with staff. Everyone we met was knowledgeable and friendly.

This post is specifically regarding the phantoms by firelight event during Halloween season after the museum is officially closed. It was by far my husband and my favorite part of visiting (primarily Newport, RI). The scenery is beautiful and seeing the history reflected in clothes, architecture, tools and crafts is just so neat. The themes of the event were on the darker side of things, which is expected for Halloween, but it was appropriate for the time periods, not grotesque and no jump scares. Tastefully done. The event started at 4:30 and the parking attendants were not set up until maybe 4:45pm. They should really have people there assessing the parking well before the event because there were tons of spots randomly open but by that time group mentality sets in and you tend to follow the car in front of you. We had intended to eat at the event but the lines were super long. Not all good stands have the same items so we walked to the side stands and we're disappointed to see you can only get basic theme park food that wasn't gluten free friendly. I was willing to just eat some chips or popcorn but my husband didn't want to spend half an hour waiting for an expensive sandwich that wasn't going to even fill him up. More food tents and options would be nice. We ended up leaving around 6pm to get food which was a bummer.

I have been here several times with my husband's family and I am always impressed by how beautiful it is. I appreciate that the animals are well taken care of and that the staff are all very friendly. This is a lovely place to visit with children or anyone curious about how different "old world" trades worked.

Fabulous experience. You SEE how various tools and daily chores get accomplished. And start understanding how interconnected each person, and their particular trade / skill set is beneficial and supports the community. A Living Museum. Much better than just walking through a display without seeing the tools and trades in action.

Very interesting and historic. Be sure to ride the horse-drawn carriage around the lake and through a covered bridge. Living history museum throughout with staff in costumes. We were very fortunate to visit during the cow parade art installation.

Mystic Aquarium is an excellent spot for children, especially between the ages of 4 and early teens. The exhibits are engaging, and the attractions they do have are very well done. The sea lion show is free, fun, and worth planning around—just make sure to check the schedule ahead of time. Since it’s outdoors, you’ll also want to be mindful of the weather. While I was a little disappointed with the overall size of the aquarium, what’s here is high quality. Be prepared though—most extras cost money, so definitely bring your wallet. With more funding and awareness, this place has the potential to grow into an even larger attraction. Overall, it’s still a great family experience and well worth a visit.

Fantastic experience at the Mystic Aquarium. It is a lot smaller than I expected and the majority of the exhibitions are outdoors so thankfully, we choose the perfect sunny day to visit. Our highlights were seeing the Beluga whales swimming about outside and seeing the sea turtle inside. We also loved that they had a Del's Lemonade stand by the gift shop. A lovely little treat on our way out. Definitely a fantastic experience with the family. Now for my standard comments. Parking is plentiful out front and free. Location is well kept and clean. Very comfortable walking outside assuming the weather is good. Indoor exhibits never got too crazy, at least during the time that we were there.

Where do I begin, this Aquarium is the best I've been to. The staff are all so friendly, and care so much about each and every animal in the facility. They have staff stationed at the enclosures in case you have any questions on a particular animal or exhibit, and they are so knowlegable. The Beluga whales are so cool, and almost seem like they interact with anyone who's at the glass and seeing everything they do for them is a bonus! The Main gallery has so many different tanks with all kinds of aquatic life and detailed plaques on each one, with any information you might want to know about a specific species. They even have not one.. but two touch tanks! This Aquarium is the perfect spot for a family day trip, the staff at the touch tanks were so friendly making sure any kid that wanted to participate was allowed the opportunity to do so and the layout was so cool to walk through. The pricing is extremely fair for what you get to do and see. The photo you they take when you enter of you and your family is 100% worth the 35 dollars to have it as a memento. Parking is a breeze and highway access is easy as well. I would give this aquarium 6 stars if I could, and my family and myself cannot wait to go back!

I had the opportunity to visit this famous aquarium last Friday, and the pictures do not do it justice….it was an incredible experience! I saw the Beluga whales, along with so many fish and other animals, including a turtle. I learned lots about the Amazon rainforest, too. I also highly recommend going to the sea lion show; it was awesome! The show is included with your admission, so make sure you check the times so you don’t miss out. I recommend heading over to the show early so you get good seats. Not to mention that all of the staff were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You can tell how much they love their job, and they really go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great experience! This aquarium is the best one I have been to by far and definitely a must do if you’re in the area! If only I could give it ten stars…..

Sad to say we feel like it wasn't what we were expecting.The tour of the whole place took us under an hour.And it was fifty one dollars per person. We do understand it's a research facility. But I think they should update their exhibits. And maybe offer a few more attractions without the extra cost. I had my first virtual reality experience, it was pretty cool. But it was at a $9 extra fee per person. The beluga whales are cool, and so are the african penguins.And the sea lion seals, but I feel like those are the only three real attractions that they had.

Relatively small but nice aquarium. Easy to navigate and many different types of aquatic life to view. Great place for kid’s with a lot of interactive areas. Being a Monday, it was super easy to get in, around and out of.

This aquarium is so nice, not too big to navigate and the staff is really super friendly. I only gave 4 stars because we went during the start of the NorEaster last weekend and it was not enjoyable for my kids, unfortunately. I must add that the food at their cafe was very good - was impressed with the quality, actually. Better weather def would have made for a better experience, but a nice place to go with the fam for sure!

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes — it’s definitely a minimum 3-hour tour with so much to see and do. I highly recommend staying with the guides, as they make the history come alive and really enhance the experience. An unforgettable stop that I’ll be telling others about!

From the moment we walked inside to purchase our tickets to the time we left, Mystic Seaport Museum didn’t disappoint. The staff were very friendly! We toured most of what was offered. I think our favorite was the shipyard. It was incredibly interesting watching active restoration projects. The amount to view and experience was so much more than we realized. This was a wonderful stop for us on our New England road trip.

With something for everyone, Mystic Seaport Museum is a must-do vacation stop. One can see skill craftspersons in the process of restoring historic sea craft or recreating life in a seaside town in the early 1800s. Great for the whole family. Kids will especially love going on board the last wooden whaling ship the children's museum. Not into ships, history, or old architecture? Then visit in the spring and summer and see some of the most beautiful floral arrangements Ive seen in a long time.

What a great experience for the whole family! Lots to learn! You can see ships being refurbished. And you can go onto Schooners! The historic buildings are amazing! Teaches you all about Ship Life! Places to eat and also a great gift shop!

We had an incredible day with family at Mystic Seaport Museum and honestly did almost everything there was to do. The whole place is such a vibe, full of history, craftsmanship, and surprises around every corner. One of the highlights was catching the fireboat with its hoses on full blast—something we learned doesn’t happen very often. We watched the blacksmith at work, explored the cooperage, wandered through the historic ships, and soaked in the magic of this living museum by the water. We spent way more time there than planned and still didn’t see it all. Mystic Seaport is truly one of those places that keeps you discovering more at every turn.

Really nice museum with outdoor and indoor exhibits. We paid $44/adult and $22/youth. We had an amazing time. The museum was nice, not too crowded and with nice live explanations when needed. Learning was also pleasant. Easy with kids. The outdoor area was pet friendly except inside the boats.

This was such a fun experience! perfect for all ages and an ideal way to spend a cozy fall evening. The ambiance felt straight out of a PG-13 Halloween movie from the '90s, full of nostalgia and charm. It had that warm, festive energy of a small-town holiday market, bringing a real sense of community. Will visit again!

Wow! This was my first time visiting here and it won't be the last! There are candles, food, toys, games, candy, a Christmas area, and more! All of the staff were friendly and helpful! It's a fun place that I could spend hours in!!

Very large store with ice cream and food along with many themes in different sections. It’s quite interesting to go through. There are also some interesting animatronics shows.

Way too cool! The store has a beautiful Christmas display with ornaments and scenic things for purchase. Of course, plenty of candles to be had in various sizes as well. There is a restaurant outback, and the food was pretty good. The Landscaping around the facilities was beyond words. Next-door was an outlet that is worth stopping into as well. Definitely recommend stopping in here.

Candle lovers paradise . You can create your own scents.make your own candles plus find all your favorites and more. There is so much to see and do. Its not like their store location in the malls this is like their own mall! Also thru have lovely flower gardens outside too!

It’s a tourist trap but a lot of fun if you enjoy shopping or looking at Christmas villages. They have “create your own” candles of various kinds and price ranges. We like going whenever we are in town.

Absolutely worth a stop off the highway, this village carries an amazing variety of gifts and items. It's not just candles, it's everything you can imagine for the house, pantry, and an entire children's shop as well.

A lot of fun - I’ve been to both this one and the one in Williamsburg, Virginia. My only complaint about this one is the middle area that features coffee, ice cream, and food, as well as check out areas. It does not have enough seating. My husband and I nearly had to in the floor today to eat our food. They have very small tables and not enough chairs. Also understaffed during peak season so getting food and navigating the area because of the resulting long lines is a pain. Checkout lines also take forever to get through on weekends and during peak season (October-December). The one in Williamsburg featured a lot more local artists, and I would love to see that reflected or acknowledged here. Positive things, I like the toy area a lot, the set up is nice. Love the Bavarian village (but would love if we could stop spreading the German pickle myth) and the snow room. I particularly like being able to buy German imported goods, like the Sauerbraten spice packets, which is what we make for Christmas every year.

My favorite park and enjoying it since I have a ton of benefits that sadly expire this year but my local park has a ot to offer if you plan it right!

They took out a bunch of handicapped parking spots to put more preferred parking spots which is annoying because the handicapped spots get full now and we end up having to go to the back parking lot.

Great place for everyone to have fun. With a variety of Rollercoasters and rides. They have a Waterpark as well and there is a place for children to enjoy aswell. Would recommend coming here.

One of the best historical tours I've ever been on (and I've been on a lot)! So much rich history and too many stories to tell in just a 1-hour tour. The property is well kept, and the house is restored to as much genuine detail as could be. Plenty of parking, folding chairs in each room for those who cannot stand for long periods of time, and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Tour tickets are a bit pricey but definitely worth it! No photography allowed inside the house, so get ready to take mental snapshots....you won't want to forget!

The Mark Twain House & Museum has a sprawling campus with different exhibits and tours. Plus, if you're a local, they have plenty of ways to visit for free. We did the General House Tour. Beth was our tour guide, and she was fantastic! A five-star guide, and I would highly recommend you request her if you go. She was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about Mark Twain's life, which brought everything to life on the tour. I particularly enjoyed how she covered the real story of who he was: the good, bad, and ugly. She was very kind and patient with our 3-year-old niece who was on the tour, and helped get her involved. The house is pretty cool (I wouldn't recommend for young kids though... or adults with severe ADD). I'm not a big fan of Mark Twain, on account of him being negative after his visit to the great state of Utah, but coming to this museum helped me realize he was kind of just a jerk to and about everyone. The gift store might be the real highlight. There are some great gems here (I featured some favorites). A vibe I got from some of the employees was they were super passionate about history and Mark Twain's life, but having visitors to the museum was a necessary evil. That was from some, but not all, which is a fun irony since Mark Twain probably felt and acted the same way. I chalked it up as creating an immersive experience. If you like Mark Twain, history, or architecture, definitely plan your visit.

Immaculatly restored historic home where Mark Twain and his family resided for 17 years. Parking, the museum, gift shop, cafe and grounds are all free to check out. There are only guided tours of the inside and there are no photos or videos allowed of the inside. We purchased tickets ahead on line. The regular tour lasts about 1 hour. The home is absolutely gorgeous and the history fascinating. You do not need to be a literary genius or even a fan of the author to appreciate the history of this home and the family.

Great experience. It's a must for any literature, architecture, or Victorian fan. The house is stunning, and the stories and fantastic. No photos allowed in the house! Makes the experience more memorable to be honest. One of the great quoted figures of all time.

Absolutely AMAZING. Alex. Our tour tour guide, was informative and humorous. If you're a Mark Twain fan, it's truly a necessary stop, because it's the only home that Twain truly thought of as his. He said about the house, "To us, our house was not unsentient matter—it had a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals and solicitudes and deep sympathies; it was of us, and we were in its confidence, and lived in its grace and in the peace of its benediction." It was so cool to see where he worked, played with his kids, spent time entertaining, and lived for so many years. Note for those who have mobility issues: there are a lot of steps to climb. If you're unable to climb stairs they will only be able to accommodate you on the first floor and then you'll have to exit the tour.

When I was young I used to read a lot of books and some of those were by Mark Twain. It is a wonderful place where you can see it originally from creation and see the atmosphere where author was built it. Nice architecture and magic in the air.

Great experience visiting this museum. Olivia the tour guide portrayed herself as “Susy Clemens” one of Mark Twains daughters, she did an excellent job, i felt that i was in the presence of Susy herself. She knew a lot of the history and took us back in time.. If anyone is planing to visit the museum, it’s worth spending the little extra fee to have the experience, i highly recommend Olivia as the tour guide, you will learn a lot and she will make you laugh.. The house is beautiful, has so much details and is well maintained.. Simply a great experience!

This is a good spot to spend a day in the summer - the park is a very manageable size to walk around and they have a handful of good attractions. Boulder dash is by far the most impressive coaster! If you have a season pass you bought online that you need to redeem for a physical card, or if you want to redeem a bring a buddy ticket, be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes at guest services. The line moved incredibly slow and was by far the longest line we waited in all day. The other big negative was what a huge rip off the dole whip is at the Main Gate Creamery - the “Large cup” is $9, we received the smallest cups of dole whip plopped into a tiny saucer. The employee working there also seemed like he had better things to do than serve 2 cups of dole whip. The employees at the parking area, guest services, and the rides, were all wonderful and very welcoming/inviting. The park was very clean and the Main Street area was very bright and vibrant. They added wait time signs at the entrance of each ride which is a nice touch and gives you an idea of how long you’ll wait in line so you can plan accordingly. It is the oldest theme park in America, but it has a nice charm to it and they’ve done an incredible job maintaining the park throughout the years. Parking is easy and they have a huge lot very close to the park - less than 5 minutes from the exit to our car.

Wow, this place is amazing, Six Flags just lost a season pass holder, my family and I plan to come here going forward. Everything was just better, less chaotic and cheaper(way!) We just took the little one this trip, plenty of rides for her, the adult rides looked awesome, we'll be back to ride those, no doubt. The food offerings seemed adequate and plenty of choices. We did not eat this time, not because we didn't like anything, we just arrived after a late breakfast, skipped lunch and had dinner off park. The water park, oh my goodness, included with admission, totally worth that price alone. It was so hot, this was a HUGE relief! All in all, this place is perfect for my family and over the next few Summers we're going to get more aquatinted for sure! This IS a 5 Star Amusement Park!

Got done with lake compounce, was a fun outing with me and one of my partners. Overall we give the park a B. The employees provide great Customer service, friendly & engaging. Food was standard fare but there were options that were cost effective as well as Some interesting seasonal options. That said the parking directions ended up having us circling needlessly, and the road needs to be finished paved ASAP. If possible they really need to invest in more signage in the area. The other major detriment was the yellow jackets. They were everywhere in particular any drinking fountain or seated area. It was challenging to avoid especially when eating. We came for the haunted houses and reviewed them in the photos. Overall the rides were enjoyable though some showed notable wear and tear. In one of the game bakers stands the plushies were noticibly moldy which was concerning (though the employee said those ones are not given to guests "Display only")

I haven’t been to Lake Compounce in years! From the parking attendants to the maintenance person every staff person was very friendly and helpful. It was a beautiful day and I advise purchasing as much as you can online. It definitely helped. *The refillable cups are definitely worth every penny! Oh and the water park…Crocodile Cove is so much fun!

We chose a nice weather day, it wasn't too hot, so it was ideal for all the walking. Some lines were very long and needless to say, the water park area was very crowded. We got there a little after 11a and it took us about 15 minutes to get to the line to pay to get into the park, so pack your patience. And if you haven't been there in a while, please purchase your tickets on line, it's a lot more convenient. And they are cashless. But overall, the kiddos had a great time at the water park.

Took my 4 year old and 20 month daughters! They had a great time at the water park and also on the rides. Visited on a Monday so it didn’t feel crowded, water park was clean and lifeguards were doing a magnificent job! Food was also very good! Definitely coming back!

Oh my gosh,I had the best time in the world here!!felt like a kid again,clean surroundings, water rides, helps cool you down when you get hot,there's a huge variety of games ,rides and even beach!!Plenty of spaces to sit and take a break under the shade or under a canopy,umbrella or sun...whatever you wish for. Free unlimited iced water and varieties of fountain sodas. The bathrooms are very clean and the staff friendly and responsive. We were 3 adults and 2 kids(8 &5) + all day parking =$207 total $36/person, 27 for parking. We brought our own pizza ,refreshments and snacks so we didn't have to spend more than we already had to enter. I actually think we adults had as much fun or more fun than the kids,lol. We got there right after they opened at 11.30am,left at 8.15pm and we still hadn't gone on all the rides!we have to go back!we had the time of our lives and I highly recommend this place to all families,groups and couples, there's something for everyone and all ages. What a day!!

Amazing art museum in New Haven, CT. Beautiful old building melded with a modern addition. 4+ floors of art, from ancient artifacts and sculptures to modern and contemporary pieces. And it's free to enter! Everyone working there were pleasant and informative.

This place is a must-visit. I love the rich history of the building itself it adds so much character to the experience. The collection they have is incredible! Lots to look at and read about. I ended up getting a bit lost in the building which just adds to the adventure! A wonderful place to walk around and feel inspired!

Amazing, amazing museum. I was totally in awe with the extensive collection particularly of modern art and Asian art. It speaks volumes of Yale’s education that showing students the original works of art was important. I was also impressed that many of the alumni donated their famous paintings rather than selling them at auction, a testament to the intellect of Yale alumni. Finally, the art work is so beautifully, impeccably displayed - hats off to the curators. This is the crown jewel of the University!!! A must visit for art lovers

A great gallery and museum that covers a variety of art collections from various periods of human history. The information notes are insightful and add depth to the experience. I ‘d recommend a whole day if one prefers to immense oneself in learning of the art and histories, but half day will also do for a quick walkthrough. Can’t believe that it is free and my respect goes to the beneficiaries. And I found my favorite sentence about art in this gallery. “Art is man’s distinctly human way of fighting death.”

If you visit it without kids, it's one of the best art museums. But, If you visit with your kids, it's one of the worst. Like every art museum, the experience depends on how you visit. Obviously, it's not a family-friendly museum (for families with kids). The collection is surprisingly vast, with everything from ancient artifacts to modern masterpieces. The space is beautifully designed, and best of all, admission is free. It's a must-visit spot in New Haven for art lovers or anyone looking for inspiration.

It’s a truly wonderful art museum with an incredibly rich collection. I really enjoyed it — from classical to modern, you can find works by almost every painter, sculptor, and installation artist you can think of. While I was exploring the exhibits, I noticed a large parade happening on the street outside… It was massive, and it took more than an hour just to pass by the entrance.

We stopped here on a trip back from seeing family. I’ve been to many aquariums and this one was pretty awesome and ranks highly for me. Many touch tanks for the kids, stingrays, baby horseshoe crabs, etc. I liked the sea turtles and the jelly room was cool too. A lot of animals and fish I’ve never seen before. Lots of cool turtles and tortoises too. Parking was easy at the garage and was only $6. Those chicken tenders hit hard too! Good at the cafe was the best museum food I’ve had.

First time visiting. Very large, not too crowded when we entered right on 10am. I purchased tickets ahead of time in case there are many visitors. Sharks and other ocean animals were exhibited in clean water. We had some “touch and feel” experiences. They have water and soap on the side so kids can get clean after that. My son loved it!

We were there 3 hours and it wasn't enough. My kids loved it. I worked as an educator here years ago, and it was so fun to share with my kiddos. We will be back! Most of the exhibits and wildlife are local from the long Island sound. Our local flora and fauna are very interesting and worth protecting.

Definitely one of the best aquariums we’ve been too and we’re from Florida. Bit pricey but so is everything in the Norwalk area. Great exhibits, lots of interactive exhibits/things to do for kids. My 2yr old had a blast. He loved the seal feeding, sharks, touch tanks and jellyfish. Animals look healthy and tanks are clean. The facility and food court was also very clean. Gift shop isn’t too bad overpriced. Surprisingly good food in the cafeteria with healthy options.

The Aquarium is bigger than I thought it was going to be. It has an extensive collection of different varieties of jellyfish. Several touch tanks for the kids and many displays of local and tropical fish. They do have some other animals and owls on display in one of the wings that seemed a little random but other than that overall a very impressive experience.

We had a wonderful time at The Maritime Aquarium! It’s the perfect size—not too big, not too small—which made it very manageable with young kids. My children had a great time exploring all the exhibits, especially the fish, seals, baby crocodile, and even sharks! We bought our tickets online, which made entry super easy and hassle-free. There’s a nice kids’ play area inside, complete with stroller parking nearby, which was super convenient. Strollers are allowed throughout the aquarium, making it easy to get around with little ones. We arrived in the afternoon and had no trouble finding parking. Although we took Exit 5 to grab lunch, we noticed there were food carts just outside the aquarium, which is a great option if you want something quick and easy. There are also snacks available inside. The 4D theater was a cool experience—my kids are still a bit too young to enjoy the 4D glasses, but we loved it! I think older kids would really enjoy that part. Right next to the aquarium is a lovely waterfront area where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the view. There’s also a train bridge nearby. My little boys were thrilled to spot trains going by in the distance—it was a fun surprise for them! We spent about 2–3 hours here, which felt just right. Overall, it’s a family-friendly, easygoing place that offers both fun and learning. Highly recommended for families with young children!

We went here on a weekend and it was best place to spend your afternoon. The aquarium is easy to navigate. We were able to see the seal feeding and touch certain type of fishes. It is a cool thing to do with your friends, family and kids. They have sharks, huge turtles, seals, jellyfish…..

The FDR Museum was presented beautifully—like a walk through history, highlighting the pivotal changes FDR made to create a better America. The exhibits were informative, engaging, and easy to follow, offering a powerful sense of the era. The home tour was equally impressive. It was air-conditioned and allowed us to see most of the rooms, providing a real sense of how the Roosevelts lived. Our guide did a fantastic job sharing the history, explaining key events, and thoughtfully answering every question. A wonderful experience all around and a must-visit for anyone interested in American history.

This is the second presidential library I've visited and it was quite an amazing experience. The historical documents and letters especially where very cool to see. The library shows the entire life and presidency of FDR. The exhibits are very detailed and lots of historic pieces are at display! Seeing FDR's desk and car were also really cool!

This has been the first and so far only presidential library I have visited. I didn't know it was in ny lol but for was a new Yorker . My wife and my intentions was to visit both the house and this wonderful library. But unfortunately the house was sold out with limited access. I'm not sure if it's open now but if you never been to a presidential library and you're local this is the place to be. My wife was amazed at what a trailblazer Eleanor was and there was a guide there who was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining some of the history. Hopefully soon it will reopen if it's closed highly recommended

Exceeded our expectations, our tour guide for the house was excellent and full of interesting information. The house is as it was when turned over to the NPS in 1946 and well worth tour The library has so many interesting exhibits and fascinating thing to learn I’m a history buff and discovered many new items Even the cafe is great the food was delicious and service quick and a very friendly staff Highly recommended visiting when you can we spent about 4 hours all together

The FDR Library and Museum is a wonderful experience. The grounds are incredibly well kept. The exhibits are extremely informative and are complimented by some wonderful real pieces of history. Plan to spend 3 hours here if you really plan on taking it all in. Would highly recommend.

I thought I know a lot about FDR, the New Deal, the Great Depression and WW II before I visited here. I didn't. After spending 3+ hours walking through the Museum and Library, your start to appreciate how much influence FDR had globally and over the 20th century.

Learned a lot of good history about FDR, beautiful and well maintained grounds, architecture of the house is fantastic, and the park rangers are all knowledgeable. I appreciate NPS protecting our heritage and they all do a fantastic job. If you're into history, are looking for a park, into architecture or love gardens; this spot has a great variety. Worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Great walkway over the Hudson, except for the elevator not being open to get back up to our car. Very nice views and most bikers were very considerate and going slower. Lots of walkers and restrooms on the other side were nice with AC!! Managed to walk over to the other bridge too, and did the entire loop. It was super hot and full sun so wear a hat, bring water etc.

Beautiful walkway with spectacular views of our gorgeous Hudson Valley. I especially enjoy it during autumn with all the colors on display. It is dog friendly but not all dogs are comfortable walking over the bridge. Although the trails at either side of the walkway are green, the walkway is concrete so although you'll love the walk, your pup might be more interested in what's at either end.🙂

Breathtaking!! It is incredible to see this bridge take on a new chapter in it's life! If you want a good walk, scenic views and get a better understanding of its history, I highly recommend that you walk this bridge. It's full of life everyday, from routine walkers and runners, to tourists looking for the perfect photo to families learning about the area together!

Gorgeous views over the Hudson and a great walk. 30min causal walking from one side to the other. So an hour round trip for us and our dog. The walkway closed at one point due to lightning storm but opened up shortly after and we were treated to a gorgeous view.

Walkway over the Hudson is one of the most beautiful viewing vantage points on the Hudson in my opinion. We went just before dusk and the views were incredible! If you do decide to go later in the evening just remember to bring a sweatshirt or something cuz it gets kind of breezy once you get over the water. Spend the day of it and Traverse over the Mid-Hudson and walk over the Hudson and then grab something to eat in town and I'll definitely be an afternoon worth the trip.

Walking on the bridge is about 10° cooler than elsewhere with the constant breeze over the Hudson River. It is incredibly beautiful and pleasant to walk the bridge. The bridge is very wide so you're not pushing past people. Bikes are allowed.

Set the destination on Google maps as 1. Visitor Center @ the Walkway over the Hudson. (U can take elevator) 2. 84 N Water St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601(walk along the river and take elevator) 3. 49 Parker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (u can directly access the start of the walkway) There are vendors at the end of the bridge to have drinks and snacks after a long walk. There is an elevator which will take you down to the riverbank if you want some good pictures keeping the bridges at the backdrop. There are restrooms at entrances and one down the elevator. We had to leave early as we visited on 4th July and they closed it at 4 pm to reopen it @6pm for fireworks. I am sure the sunset view will be breathtaking. Will visit again. Also, consider visiting Ashokan reservoir if u have some time left for the day.. Take a look at the picture where u can do payment for the parking. Visiting The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City was an absolutely unforgettable experience! We had the morning free before flying home and wanted to visit somewhere new to us. You could actually spend the whole day in this magnificent museum. It's structurally beautiful as well as having displays that are truly impressive. The Egyptian items were outstanding, the burial items, jewellery and finds took our breath away. The wall paintings on the burial building were spectacular. Also the photograph of the wooden replica boats all broken and then repaired and on display were incredible. They all had a black bob hairstyle! The Greek section was fabulous as was the Asian. The African panels on the ceiling, totem poles, tribal costumes and carvings were beautifully painted and definitely a favourite of ours. The Japanese garden was quiet and a place of calm and very much represented the culture. We had a quick stop at the cafe, the queue went down fairly quickly and people were constantly moving so tables became available. This museum turned into a highlight of our trip and I have already told friends to put it on their to do list when visiting New York.

⭐️ Incredible World-Class Museum in the Heart of NYC. I visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art and bought my ticket at the entrance. It was busy with tourists, but once you step inside the galleries the museum is so huge that the crowds spread out quickly. The exhibits are absolutely incredible — Egyptian mummies, sarcophagi, medieval knights, full suits of armor, ancient weapons, paintings, sculptures, musical instruments, and so much more. The collection is massive and honestly mind-blowing. At some point we were so tired from walking that we had to stop, because this place is endless. It really feels like stepping into ancient Egypt, medieval Europe, and world history all inside Manhattan. There are clean restrooms, plenty of places to rest, and a nice gift shop on the way out. A must-visit NYC museum. Highly recommended! 📸🇺🇸

I haven’t been to the MET ever since coming back from the army. I used to go all the time, especially when they would have new exhibits in the museum. What made me go in the first place was because I’m writing an essay on art for my art history class. I wanted to share so of the photos that I took on my journey.

Man Ray exhibit was fantastic. Ancient Egypt was also very cool. So big, impossible to see all in 1 visit. upstairs musical instruments room was awesome and the armor and swords too. loved the big open natural light room where the Egyptian tomb was. Really great place.

The Met in NYC is one of those rare places that somehow exceeds the hype. The moment you walk in, you feel the weight of history, culture, and artistry from every corner of the world. The collection is massive — truly something for everyone — but it never feels overwhelming. Every gallery is intentional, beautifully curated, and full of details that pull you in. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to get lost in time. One minute you’re in ancient Egypt, the next you’re staring at a Van Gogh that stops you in your tracks. The staff is friendly, the layout is intuitive, and the entire experience feels like stepping into a different world for a few hours. If you’re in NYC, this is a non-negotiable stop. It’s not just a museum — it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave.

Carved out 3 hours and still barely got through maybe a half(if even that) of the museum. The staff there was great and the student discount of 17$ was pretty great, and I think it’s awesome that New York residents and local students only pay if they want to, that’s a cool perk. One thing is, at times it definitely felt like a maze getting through the galleries.

Central Park in the Fall — Absolutely Magical! Visiting Central Park in autumn was better than I ever imagined. The colors, the crisp air, the skyline peeking through the trees — it felt straight out of a movie, only real. The park is wonderfully kid-friendly and dog-friendly, full of families, friendly faces, and space to explore. From the winding paths to the shimmering ponds and quiet lakes, every corner is breathtaking. The city views are stunning, and everyone we met was kind and welcoming. Truly one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever experienced.

Central Park is the most beautiful place in New York! Perfect for photoshoots, horse rides, and boating on the lake. It’s also one of the best romantic spots for a date. Everywhere you go, you can hear live music, which adds such a magical atmosphere. I love visiting in any season — spring with blooming trees and fall with falling leaves are my favorites. A truly unique place you can’t find anywhere else in the world!

Central Park is an incredible place — a true green oasis in the heart of New York City’s concrete jungle. It surrounds you with peace and nature, making you forget you’re in one of the busiest cities in the world. Perfect for a walk, a picnic, or simply to sit and breathe in the calm beauty of the park.

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

I went once and I loved how it looked. I didn't go before the renovation, and I am not a member. I went on one of the days that you could get free tickets. It was pretty crowded. If you go with a water bottle, you must leave it downstairs at the coat check. The staff was a bit mixed. Some of the guards in the room are NOT friendly and come across a bit rude. I heard one of them scold an older lady. I didn't exactly stick around to hear what was going on but I feel like regardless of what she did, she could have been spoken to a bit nicer? The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, and I will be returning but I am a bit apprehensive because of some of the staff.

A lovely museum in a gorgeous mansion. This was my first visit and I anticipate returning as my time was limited. I am glad I had the chance to see the ceramic flowers displayed throughout the museum! I wish that was to be a permanent exhibit. Definitely purchase your tickets in advance for the timed entry. From what I could tell, you truly do need to arrive within the 1/2 hour on your ticket - there was a standby line waiting for availability. Sadly the museum does not allow any photography inside the galleries. They are also understandably restrictive about bags and jackets but offer a free coat check.

Very beautiful place. It felt like walking through an ornate, ostentatious mansion. I loved all of the paintings, especially the ones exhibit with the “Four Seasons” mural. I think the decorations and the atmosphere is stunning. Each room was gorgeously decorated and all of the rooms flowed together, giving you the feeling of walking through an aristocratic mansion. My only complaints were: 1. There can be a wait time to get in and for tickets because you have to wait in a line. They only let a certain number of people in at a time. Be prepared for that potentially. 2. The names of the paintings and artists were very hard to read. There wasn’t more information on any of the art or artists. Everything was gorgeous to look at, but I really would have wished to learn more about the art itself. It felt less meaningful to simply stare are beautiful pieces and objects without more context or further understanding of the works themselves. I asked one of the guards if they had any more information to read, and they simply referred me to check the site, which didn’t feel helpful at all. If you just want to walk around and enjoy the views, this is the place. But if you want to learn more, I’d suggest the MoMa or MET, which have plaques and readable titles on their artwork. 3. You cannot take any pictures, and the guards will come up to you to tell you not to take photos if you try. This rule is quite strongly enforced— though you can try and risk getting “yelled at”.

I treated my friend to an afternoon at The Frick Collection in NYC for her birthday, and it was one of those rare outings that stays vivid in your mind. The museum is intimate enough to explore fully in under two hours, yet every room is packed with artistry, history, and detail that make each moment count. Walking through, I was struck by how every space feels like stepping through time. The ceilings, the walls, the furniture, even the wood tones and textiles are all beautifully preserved; ceiling-to-floor opulence that transports you into another era. The collection itself is rich and varied. You’ll find masterworks by Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Goya; the exquisite “Saint Francis in the Desert” by Giovanni Bellini; Holbein’s portraits (including Sir Thomas More), awe-inspiring Van Dyck portraits, and monumental allegories by Veronese such as “The Choice Between Virtue and Vice” and “Wisdom and Strength.” Beyond paintings, Frick showcases decorative arts, delicate drawings, sculpture, rare clocks and ceramics. The newly reopened second-floor rooms, formerly the Frick family’s private living spaces, reveal personal touches: the Breakfast Room with intimate French landscapes, the Boucher Room with its Rococo panels, timepieces and portrait medals that add layers of quiet, human detail. One of my favorite moments was in the Grand Fountain Room: tranquil, majestic, a perfect architectural pause in between art-filled rooms. All in all, The Frick isn’t just about seeing beautiful art; it’s about feeling surrounded by art history, enveloped in craftsmanship, and carried through generations. It’s a serene, awe-filled experience you will not soon forget.

The Frick Collection is a well revered art museum and one of the preeminent destinations to visit in New York City. Located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, the museum was once the private residence and mansion of Henry Clay Frick, a prominent 20th Century American industrialist, financier, art patron and business partner of the wealthy tycoon and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie. The mansion was designed by renowned architect, Thomas Hastings and its construction was completed in 1914. Due to its distinctive architectural design and its breathtaking appearance, the mansion is listed on the National Register Of Historic Places and is recognized as a US National Historic Landmark. In accordance with Frick’s will, the mansion would be converted to a museum and opened to the public in 1935. The museum features Frick’s extensive and immaculate collection of art which consists of paintings, ceramics, and sculptures. Due to Frick’s admiration of European art spanning from the 14th to 19th Century, guests will have an opportunity to view works or art made by artists such as Giovanni Bellini, Rembrandt, Diego Velasquez, Johannes Vermeer, Thomas Gainsborough and many others. After the extensive renovation that took place between 2021-2025, visitors and patrons are now able explore to the mansion’s 2nd floor and have access to viewing multiple galleries of art, shopping for merchandise at the museum’s gift shop as well as visiting and dining at the museum’s cafe. In July of 2025, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a self guided tour of the Frick collection and we very much enjoyed our experience. In light of our membership to the museum, we have priority access and can enter the Frick without any reservations required. I highly recommend a purchase of the membership pass in light of this benefit and so much more. During our visit, my wife and I enjoyed viewing the portrait of “Rembrandt,” “The Portrait of Comtesse d'Haussonville” “St Francis in the Desert” the portrait of Henry Frick, and the “Progress Of Love” a series of gorgeous paintings made by Jean-Honoré Fragonard which depicts love and courtship in its various stages, such as the initial encounter and the couple’s eventual acceptance and love for each other. Last but certainly not least, both my wife and I absolutely loved the Frick’s indoor courtyard, the Garden Court. The Garden Court is quite stunning due its feature of majestic columns, and a central water fountain surrounded by greenery and ornate statues. If you haven’t done so already, be sure to take the time to visit the Frick Collection. You’ll have an amazing experience visiting and exploring this outstanding destination!!!

Simply the best! A museum that feels more like a home. I love the audio guide that you can access on your phone. A perfect place to take in at your own pace. Furthermore the cafe is absolutely fantastic! The savoy scone is unforgettable and worth making a special journey for! Worth becoming a member to skip the line

Always find something interesting to look at. The Holly Sepulcher exhibit is something so unique and breathtakingly beautiful that it must be seen. Flora Yukhnovich's Four Seasons is also very interesting and worth seen.
