The EAA Aviation Museum, located in Oshkosh, is a captivating destination for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs. Established by a small group of aviation enthusiasts in the 1950s, the museum has evolved into a remarkable collection featuring over 200 historic airplanes and helicopters, along with more than 20,000 aviation artifacts. Visitors can explore immersive exhibits that showcase the rich history of civilian and military aviation.
It's SO Big! So much to see and learn we didn't even do it all! I will say I had read and been told it was free to get in here, It is not so heads up it's $15 for adults and 3-17 is $12. We really enjoyed the interactive Area and the aircrafts you could get into!
Karla T — Google review
Nice museum that showcases many aspects of aviation! They have a fun area for kids inside as well, I will say the simulators offered need to be maintained better only 2-8 were in working order. Lastly my group could not find a bathroom in the top of the museum once you enter. ( this was a problem for some members of my group)
Tyler H — Google review
Wow! You can eat off the floor in this place. This event has a price to pay at the door, but that quickly becomes irrelevant after you start looking around in here. It is the best museum I’ve been to to date. Oshkosh turns upside down during their “Air Show”every year the end of July. I’ll go to that someday. I went outside to see the hangers out back and found some of the plane owner’s vehicles out there. Those were as cool as the airplanes were back there. You see old cars all the time, but I’ve never seen an old delivery truck. That made my day. I could’ve and should’ve flown the Blue and Yellow biplane while I was there because the line was short at the time. Oooops, I’ll get that one done the next time I’m here. I had the best of times here and I’m really glad that I went here. Put this on your must do list. Enjoy…

*** FREE AIRPLANE RIDES FOR KIDS!!! If that doesn't get your attention I don't know what will. On weekends they run a Young Eagles program which kids ages 8-17 are able to get a 10-15 minute plane ride in which they are even given the chance to take the controls. There is no extra cost just the cost of the museum which is extremely reasonable. $37 gets the family in and includes 2 adults and up to five kids. On top of that amazing experience the museum has numerous other kid related things through our it and everything for the aviation enthusiast. From all sorts of planes for early in flight through about the early 70's. Tons of history, exhibits, models, etc. Plan at least 3-4 hours to see and do everything. Weekend we went was not crowded at all. Can't recommend this place high enough.
Matt B — Google review
Different than other aviation museums we have been too. This is mostly experimental aircraft. There was a lot of interesting stuff to see however. This is a large museum and it's well put together. Prepare to spend at least two to three hours. Recommended.
Keith J — Google review
First, I love airplanes! So this is a great place to explore. Interesting historical review of Experimental aircraft. And aviation history in general. Really need exhibits. Lots of great exhibits for kids to explore aviation.
Kirk H — Google review
EAA Aviation Museum is very nice place to visit with family. Lots of Hangars to explore. Fascinating facts about US Airforce. $37 Family pass for 2 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of parking available. Hope you enjoy. Thanks
Gaurav D — Google review
An absolutely amazing museum for aviation enthusiasts and history enthusiasts alike. So much planes in here and stuff to learn. You could spend an entire day in here. Its also a very nice atmosphere. The restrooms are clean and there are water fountains located with delicious water incase youre thirsty. I came here with my older brother and his wife in july for the 2025 oshkosh airventure which was incredible. I highly recommend visiting this museum while you are in the area, its really worth it. There are also some interactive exhibits such as air pressure and gyro force. Even if you know nothing about aviation it is still a cool place for anyone who wants to learn.

Parts of the trail are in tough shape - the grass hasn’t been mowed; there are numerous areas that are wet with severe ruts, making it dangerous to well walk or ride a bike. In the summer of 2024 the trail is in the worst condition as I’ve ever seen it

Vines & Rushes Winery

Winery

Wine store
Wineries & Vineyards
My friend and I spent the day roaming around parts of Wisconsin looking for cute vineyards, and this was by far our absolute favorite! The staff at Vines & Rushes were so friendly and welcoming. I went home with a bottle of course, and loved hearing the history behind the property. If you’re like us, and looking for the perfect cheese and wine spot… THIS IS IT!
Marcie W — Google review
Vines and Rushes is truly an outstanding winery and experience! Nicole made our visit extra special and went above and beyond, and I think we’ll always remember it because of her. We even forgot 2 bottles at the shop and she drove down and found us at the bar we were watching the game at to get them to us!! I was tasked with getting wine for my sisters wedding this summer, and specifically chose vines and rushes as it’s considered the best winery in Wisconsin - it did not disappoint. Even my French partner agreed the wine was SO good! We tried a huge selection and all of them were incredibly well made. We got all our wine and even flew a half a case home with us. Great wine, great story, and great people!
Kendyl P — Google review
Beautiful winery with a great selection of wine- and the food was excellent as well! We sampled 5 wines for $5 and ended up buying 2 bottles to take home. The brick oven pizza was incredible! Very friendly staff- they were helpful and attentive.
Blake T — Google review
We had driven past Vines and Rushes several times and finally had a chance to stop there. We were there on a weekday afternoon so it was not very busy. The facility is very impressive. We enjoyed a wine tasting and then purchased a glass of wine and one of their employees spent about 30 minutes giving us a tour of the winemaking operation. Nicole was very knowledgeable and helpful and obviously enthusiastic about the business. We definitely will be coming back here for some woodfired pizza some evening. They have taken this beyond just a place to stop and buy some wine, it is a destination type of place now! Stop here, you will not be disappointed!
David J — Google review
This was an accidental GEM!! Flew into Milwaukee and driving to Osh Kosh we had the pleasure to pop in for a spot of wine tasting. Friendly staff who gave us great history and explanation of the wines. Discovering we were from out of town, they informed us that they SHIP!! 10 days after leaving we received our box of wine. The location is spacious with outdoor seating and views of the vineyards. And while they only grow 4 type of grapes here, their wines are blended with grapes ONLY grown in Wisconsin. The building is absolutely ginormous. Catering to happy hour, girls night, and date nights. Wood fire pizza oven and bar on one side and plenty of additional seating on the other side. This would be a great location to host a baby or bridal shower, company lunch or family get together. Live music most weeks and you’d better not leave without perusing the store for knick knacks and snacks. If I ever find myself in these parts again, Vines & Rushes is a YES for me.
Kasey H — Google review
It's a destination winery and with the trip. Amazing wine, incredible wood fire pizza and live music!! 10/10
J B — Google review
Very relaxing, indoor and outdoor seating, great hummus plate and pizza, incredible staff, dog friendly.
Walt H — Google review
LOVE the pizza. They were busy when we came, with a lot of orders ahead of us but we got our pizza without too bad a wait given the volume of food orders. All of the people there were very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I would suggest is a way to make the pizza crust firmer, in the middle. Toward the edge it was perfect. Overall flavor was excellent.

Kira R — Google review
Recently, I spent about 1 1/2 days visiting the area and casino. I decided to stay overnight. The room cost was $144.50 with a players card. The entire property is beautiful! The rooms are gorgeous. I highly recommend this casino/hotel. The reasons I did not give a 5 star review are free play could have been a bit more generous, discount on food would have been nice and my first room had no hot water.
Diane R — Google review
In short this is a fully automated casino, no human dealers, but its clean, pleasant, and honestly if your just looking for a fun time with a few friends its more than enough. The long story is simple - no human dealers is just boring and the entertainment is as average as it can be but its clean, safe, and afforded me some fun. Myself and a large group had some free time one Saturday evening and decided to visit. It was clean and safe which if you've ever visited casinos that operate in more rural areas earns a star on its own. Now I have grief with that its not advertised anywhere that they don't have human dealers. On top of that there's one automated roulette table, one automated blackjack table, and one automated craps table. Besides that its all slots. If I wanted to sit 5 feet apart from my friends while an AI generated dealer deals me cards on a giant screen I'd just do it at home on my phone. On top of this one of the automated blackjack terminals (idk what to call it but a spot at the big automated table) broke with 80 dollars of my friends money in it and it took staff 20 minutes to resolve the issue despite even talking to someone at security. Staff was generally nice outside the usual young adult/teenage angst which could be found at the restaurants. The food from the restaurants is severely overpriced with a McDonalds down the road but I do concede its good just overpriced. I did not stay at the hotel so I have no notes for there except that parking is abundant which is nice. Now beside those grievances it really was pleasant. Some people won money some people lost it, felt generally average for a casino. the slots had good diversity and I got to watch a few bonuses and small jackpots occur while I was there. I enjoyed myself enough I'd give the location 4 stars if they just advertised the lack of human dealers - not doing so is a little manipulative and should be addressed which is sad because outside that it really is such a nice location considering its a little out there. Or if you're going to be fully automated give me a few more blackjack, roulette, and craps tables - waiting in line essentially to play blackjack is as fun as watching someone else play with your present on Christmas.
Nolan D — Google review
What can I say it's a casino and that place especially hold a dear spot in my heart. It was the first casino I went to when I first came to live in this state and where my old roomie went on the spur of the moment. Had so much fun.. highly recommend going.
Lil M — Google review
Had a enjoyable time. Masks are certainly required anywhere inside of the facility, including the onsite gas station. Otherwise there's not much more to say. I was only there to throw a few bucks in the machine.

Central Waters Brewing Co. | Amherst

Brewery
Nightlife
Bars & Clubs
On Saturdays, this brewery hosts tours & opens its taproom for craft beer service.
Central Waters is a must stop on your brewery check list. If you like the beer you have found in stores and pubs this is a new level. They have all their standard selections, 3 of their bourbon barrel varieties, 4 seltzers, but best of all, they have 12 pilot and experimental beers you can only get here. On my trip they were test a new IPA, an imperial double hazy, a rice lager, a black coffee ale, a chai porter, a mosaic pale ale, helles lager, rye lager, a strawberry stout, a Belgian double, oatmeal stout, and a Baltic porter. They also had 5 flagship beers and 4 seasonals on including another helles, a coffee stout, a honey imperial IPA, and a peach tea wheat beer. They had another 7 beers in cans only and they had 4 speciality bombers. Their is no lack of beer to try here and they do a great job. The indoor bar area has an industrial design and sits in the brewery. They also have a decent amount of seating outdoors. This is a great brewery and I believe you will enjoy it as much as I.
Adam D — Google review
Attended an event here and loved the brewery. The room came with drink tokens so we all enjoyed delicious beverages and food the organizer brought in. Plenty of room, great beer, staff was friendly! Has a wonderful time and bought a couple pint glasses on the way out!
Jackie T — Google review
We took the brewery tour & our guide was excellent. The tour was very nice. The bar & merch prices are super reasonable. $4/drink is unheard of! Everything was clean, including the bathroom. I'm not sure how the food situation works, but supposedly you can order food. I would absolutely go back, even though it's a 50 min drive.
Stacey P — Google review
This brewery was recommended to me in 2018. I don't get back "home" very often but this time, I made a trip with no real plans and decided to visit. The flight of beers I had were absolutely amazing! Though, the Octoberfest was a little lacking in body -for my tastes- but still marvelous. The staff was fun and helpful in recommending selections to me. 💯 cannot recommend this place enough.
Matt D — Google review
fantastic brewery out in rural wisconsin. great if you like barrel aged beers, friendly staff, wide selection laid back vibe. just wish they had a kitchen but they have food trucks on the weekend. a must visit spot for craft beer fanatics.
Christopher K — Google review
What a fantastic find. If you’re looking for a brewery in the heart of Wisconsin, look no further. They have SO many beers on tap and canned that it’s hard to choose from. The atmosphere is perfect as they have a ton of room inside and out. There is usually a food truck parked along side the building and there is corn hole outside for family fun. Even the merchandise area is awesome, a lot of options to choose from. The staff that was pretty stellar as well. Overall, great place to spend a summer day/evening!
Christopher V — Google review
Love this out of the way setting. Has beautiful outdoor seating. I highly suggest the mud puppy porter.
Cheryl T — Google review
OK beer. Was looking to buy some bottles to bring home. Staff was completely useless in providing suggestions. Without any guidance I ended up with two bottles for $50, price tags is not a thing anymore apparently. Probably worth it for Central Waters, but that was my first and last visit.

Stevens Point Brewery, located in Stevens Point, WI, is one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the United States. The brewery offers regular tours where visitors can witness the beer-making process, explore the warehouse, and sample a variety of craft beers, ciders, and soda. Additionally, they are known for their Snow Pilot beer and offer convenient curb-side pickup.
What a fun place! The tour costs $10 and you get drink tickets and a glass worth over $20 total. Great vibe to the place. It’s the second oldest continuously run brewery in the US!
LAURA H — Google review
Loved the huge selection of beers and ciders. We went on a tour and it was interesting but wished it had a little more history of the brewery rather than general info about beer. Live music outside on the day we went so that was great. Got to sit outside, enjoy the beautiful day, and there were even a few pups outside with their families too. Will go again!
Brittany K — Google review
We took the 1PM tour with Pierce! He was awesome! Highly recommend if you are in the area. So much history to learn about this place! Also, great selection of beer. We sat outside to enjoy the weather for a while! We will definitely come back!
Andrea S — Google review
I have been through Steven’s Point many times. This was our first time stopping at the Point Brewery… Why did I wait so long??!! It’s a cool little stop in a residential neighborhood that seems like an unexpected area for a brewery. We stopped in just to see the place. We didn’t have time for the tour, but wanted to check out the buildings, tasting room retail shop. Let’s just say… this place is worth a stop. Our recommendation . Buy the tour ticket for $10. You get a free pint glass and 4 sample coupons. Get your self four 7oz samples in the tasting room which is perfect. And less expensive since a sample costs $6 on its own if you buy it at the bar. If you don’t use the sample coupons you can turn them in for a bottle of beer in the gift shop. Two coupons gets you one bottle. The tasting room is reminiscent of an old world bar and worth the stop on its own. There is a large outside area for sitting with great tables, and ambiance. Stop in at the point brewery. Worth your time even if going a few miles out of the way. And, you can get their beer by the bottle or case in the retail shop. And they have many varieties. More than I ever knew!!
Mike R — Google review
Great place to learn and sample. $10.00 tour, 4 samples and a souvenir glass, can’t be beat! There’s a small gift shop, an outdoor beer garden and a really nice bar. Plenty of beer and cider varieties to try.
Debby S — Google review
We attended a Suprise birthday party here for a family member last Sunday. We found the Tap Room cool and inviting - a great place to take your friends and have a beer and watch an event on one of their large TVs. The tap room was connected with both their gift shop and a large, indoor eating room, which looked out through a wall of windows and doors to a private, fenced in area, where we had our private event. The tap room offers a selection of beer and tasty sodas, plus pizza and a few snacks. Reasonable prices! We were allowed to bring our own food for our party. The outdoor area was fenced in and featured both tables and sturdy chairs in the under roof patio area, plus some picnic tables under umbrellas in the grassy area. The facility offered corn hole games and a huge Jenga set for the kids to play with. Good service from the friendly staff made the event easy to happen. Clean bathrooms. Wheel chair accessible. I wish we lived closer because I'd make it a point to drop by occasionally.
John J — Google review
This is one of my favorite brewery tours. It’s fun for all ages. You get a pint glass and get to sample beer, cider or sodas. I did not make a reservation for the tour but it’s recommended. Outdoor patio is fantastic. Carry in food is allowed.

Located in Wausau, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum (LYWAM) is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and nature lovers. Established in 1976, this museum offers free admission year-round and features both permanent and rotating exhibits that showcase art depicting the natural world. One of its most renowned exhibitions is Birds in Art, which has garnered international acclaim. In addition to indoor galleries, visitors can explore the sculpture garden and enjoy artist-made snow sculptures during winter.
I love coming here. They are always rotating the exhibits so every time you go there is something new. Staff are friendly and the building is always clean and looks very well taken care of.

This museum is a gem. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s free but a donation is always appreciated. My 8 year old granddaughter was with me and liked it. We did some crafts in the kids area. In addition to the galleries inside there is a rooftop and sculpture garden.

Wonderful! My first time visiting and it was during the Birds in Art exhibit. I'm a bird watcher so I absolutely loved it! I may have to return again before I leave town. If I'm ever in Wisconsin again I hope it's during the Birds in Art annual exhibit. Love that it is free admission too.
Danell U — Google review
I've been going to the Leigh Yawkey Museum since I was a kid. I've always enjoyed my visits. Heck one time I even had some of my art hanging on the walls there. Maybe it'll happen again sometime. I've seen lots of cool things there over the years. My favorite thus far has been the M.C. Escher exhibit. Today I saw a real Basquiat. No lie! Go there and check it out. Here are some other cool things I saw today!

Mullins Cheese Retail Store

Great place to stop and check out. They had many varieties of cheeses and alot of different samples of the curds and other cheeses. There was a meat selection of different beef sticks and summer sausage, and some old fashion drinks. I would highly recommend checking them out.

Wow, absolutely love their cheese selection, and the prices are great as well! We really liked that they had an abundance of cheese samples to try. Definitely will be back when we come through the area again.

This is the retail store to the huge cheese factory across the street. Besides cheese, the store has salamis, bacon, whey powder, ice cream, honey, jams, cheese knives. Nice selection of a variety of cheeses. Very clean.
Bowmanlaurapiper — Google review
Great place to go for some amazing collection of Wisconsin cheese and cheese curds, not too far from the highway, must try.
Parth B — Google review
I agree with others—the cheese curds at Mullins are no longer what they used to be. These aren't the fresh, squeaky curds we’ve loved for years. Instead, they’re now sliced blocks of cheese, and they actually suggest microwaving them to "get the squeak" back. What the heck?! At over $6 a pound, I expect fresh, quality curds—not this disappointing substitute. Sadly, Mullins just isn’t the same anymore, and I won’t be making it a regular stop going forward. They’ve built a new, much larger store that feels more like a tourist attraction than the traditional, small-town cheese factory it once was. Even the scrap ends were over $5 a pound. Unfortunately, it’s no longer the place to go for delicious, authentic curds.
Courtney J — Google review
I love the variety of different cheeses and cheese curds they have. Each person in my family likes something different, and there's always something for each of us.The fresh fried cheese curds are the best. I love that there's more flavored ones now. I'm pregnant, and the dill flavored cheese curds is one of my cravings. It's not far from where I'm located so it's easy to send my husband for.
Elizabeth K — Google review
Mullins Cheese Want cheese? This is the best place to go. They have a huge variety of cheese, seasonings, ice cream, and the best cheese curds I’ve ever had. You can take home a piece of Wisconsin with you. The service is absolutely amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The variety and quality of the cheese are great. If you love cheese, this place is a must-visit!
Jessica T — Google review
We absolutely love this company + their store. Such friendly service. Clean facility and so many wonderful selections. We enjoyed the best cheese curds we've ever eaten while we watched a short video about the company and facility on the TV. We heard from other guests that these cheese curds are the Best of any. Thank you Mullins staff for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Ski & Snowboard Areas
Nestled in the heart of Wausau, Wisconsin, Granite Peak Ski Area is a winter wonderland for snow sports enthusiasts. With over 200 acres of terrain and more than 70 runs, this ski resort caters to skiers and snowboarders of all levels. From beginners to seasoned pros, everyone can carve their way down the slopes and experience the thrill of navigating powdery terrain.
As a recent transplant to St. Louis from California, I was skeptical about finding a ski area within a day's drive that could offer real vertical and fun runs. After doing some research, I decided Granite Peak, Wisconsin— a seven-hour drive — was my best option, and it didn’t disappoint. This was my first time skiing at a Midwest resort, and I spent three days there during Christmas week. It was absolutely worth the trip. The snowmaking and grooming were excellent, with about three feet of snow on the slopes, and there were plenty of great cruisers to choose from. I’m an advanced-intermediate skier, and while none of the runs were overly difficult, they were still a lot of fun. I was able to lap runs easily and rack up a lot of vertical throughout the day. The terrain is steeper at the top and mellows out nicely toward the bottom, offering a good variety. Night skiing is included with the day pass, which makes it an even better value. The staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the resort sits right next to Wausau with all the accommodations and dining options I could want. The whole area felt like a winter wonderland, and the views from the top — looking out over the flat Wisconsin River Valley and the lights of Wausau — made the experience even more memorable. While I was a little disappointed that the entire mountain wasn’t open (it opened fully the week after Christmas), everything that was open was fantastic. I did notice a lot of beginners near the base area, so it’s important to use some caution where all the runs converge. However, once the full mountain is open — including the two chairs on the west and east side of the mountain that serve primarily intermediate and advanced runs — the skier traffic will spread out significantly. This will help minimize congestion at the bottom and provides more options to avoid beginner areas altogether. Overall, I had an incredible time and plan to make Granite Peak a bi-annual trip, fitting it in before my yearly two-week ski trip out west.

WOW I love this Ski Area!! There are so many hill to go down hill from beginner to expert ski. I love the one hill with long and very steep hill because I go down REALLY FAST!!! AWESOME!! I did see one hill have for Snow Skier to do jump trick. There is one lift chair (next to building to left) go pretty steady and slow. While the other lift chair (next to building to right) was going pretty fast. I like that speed so I can get going. I do like their Ski store they have with variety ski outfits and magnet. The tickets line was good but I wish I didn't have to go to window to get my ticket. It would be nice to have a machine outside to scan QR code then it will print ticket out. When I get to ski lift gate to scan my ticket I sometime have problems to scan my ticket thru my Ski coat. I like their Bar restaurant and Cafe place to eat. It seems pretty expensive. I thought it was interesting Cafe offer DISCOUNT for season pass when order foods or drinks. While Bar restaurant doesn't offer one. lastly, one strange fee cost is that at Cafe I don't get E&A FEE at all. While Bar Restaurant does charge me E&A FEE.

We had a spectacular day weather wise for the fall lift ride. The crew running the lift were friendly and very courteous. Very helpful to anyone who needed assistance seating on the lift or exiting the lift. The young lady that was at the ticket booth was very friendly and helpful as well. We will definitely be back again next year!

Always come here in March or April when closer resorts are done for the season. Usually after a snowstorm. Always great conditions. Newer amenities. Fast lifts. General atmosphere reminds me of DH which I also love but bigger, with faster lifts and newer everything. These pictures taken on March 20th

If was great. This was the first time on the Lucy without skis. You can get on on top and walk a few trails.

Had to switch plans at the last minute because Cascade was sold out and I now say we are lucky that was the case. Granite Peak was a lot of fun. Great variety of runs, low wait times, friendly staff and a beautiful area. Indoor facilities including dining and bar were decent quality and good service. Will definitely go back.

Nice base area, fast lifts Granite is a great Wisconsin ski hill. Can get a lot of skiing done with the fast lifts and one with mid mountain load/unload so you can lap the steeps or lower mountain. Paved parking lot is a plus.

Wildwood Zoo

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Park
Easygoing locale with gardens, natural habitats & a drive-through exhibit of large animals.
A great little stop if you’re in the area and want to stretch your legs! This FREE zoo isn’t huge, but it’s well-kept and has 20+ animals—maybe more. We spent about 35 minutes walking through and really enjoyed the interactive water education area. It’s air-conditioned (which was a lifesaver in the nearly 100-degree heat) and full of fun, hands-on activities for kids, like buttons to make clouds rain and blockades to change water flow. We didn’t catch the bears due to the heat, but there was still plenty to see. Definitely worth a visit for a short, family-friendly outing.
Kelly T — Google review
We had a wonderful time at the zoo! 🦅🐻 You can see an amazing variety of wildlife, including majestic bald eagles, Kodiak and Alaska bears, playful foxes, and so much more. The place feels so fresh and open, with clean paths and plenty of shady spots to enjoy. It’s a great place to explore nature, learn about the animals, and just relax with family or friends. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a fun, refreshing outdoor experience! 🌿✨

We have been going since before we had kids, and our oldest is 16. The zoo has gotten better and better, more animals, more exhibits, more great, helpful staff but has remained an awesome place to visit. Feeding the deer was an amazing experience 20+ years ago and our children are still amazed by it; now they get to feed the giraffes they were loving it. The parakeet exhibit was a hit too. The birds were so friendly, landed on everyone, everywhere, but nipped a little too. Our youngest didn't want to leave the exhibit, let alone the zoo. Even though it was raining. Totally worth it!

Normally not a huge fan of zoos. This is a refuge and rehab that is beautiful. The animals are well supported and exhibit normal behaviors! The Kodiak exhibit is incredible. Well worth the beautiful walk through the small park!

Very small but nice zoo. Not a whole lot of animals but what was there was neat to see. The cats were mostly hiding due to the hot day. The bear enclosure was cool to watch, they seemed very happy. Only took about 2 hours of a slow walk. There is an indoor children’s activity center but we did not checkout. Very much worth stopping and giving a donation to.
Annmarie M — Google review
This was a great place to stretch our legs on our road trip. The free zoo has a walking part and a driving section. There were only 2 groups of animals on the driving section. The habitats are nice for a smaller zoo.
J R — Google review
We made a trip here before making our drive back home. Admission is free. Paths made easy for wheelchair to explore. Benches provided if you want to just sit and enjoy the nature surroundings. We didn’t get to see a lot of the animals at the time on our visit but we enjoyed the peaceful walk through.

Such a fun place, we didn't have our kids with on this stop but it would be such a great place to stop and let your kids explore. From the massive bubble trampoline, to the pedal go carts, soccer nets and you can watch them milk the cows, make delicious cheese and much more. When you walk in they have a cute little gift shop area, with wine, cheese and other goodies. If you keep walking they have cheese samples and a cafe/ restaurant. I bought a latte and a sandwich and it was seriously so good that I already want to go back. Definitely a must stop here!
Derik M — Google review
Stopped as a road side stop on a road trip to see the giant cow. There is a very clean and nice tractor playground and a bounce pad that looks like cheese. We got to go in and see the milking of the cows. And we got to ride little bikes around a track! That was super fun for the kids and myself! Great stop with food, small souvenir things, and even restrooms. Kids get the energy out, parents enjoy a moment.
Ashley V — Google review
This was Awesome! We didn't exactly eat here but we did get lots of cheeses and based off the ones we got to try they are all Fabulous! We missed the tour they do 2 a day at 9am & 1pm, cost is $10 a person. However we did get to walk around and see the cows being milked and visit with the calves. It's a very well run and taken care of dairy farm and cheese factory. Don't miss it!

Delicious fresh Gouda cheese can be purchased here. The also have a nice selection of Homemade chocolates, sausages, hot stix, pizzas, and many other snack items to enjoy. Tours are available for a small cost. A fun place to bring the Family! Outside seating as well as inside seating for those who wish a sit down meal. Activities for kids outdoors.
Lisa S — Google review
This was an interesting stop, we bought a bunch of cheeses to take home, all of which we have enjoyed so far! Our food was good in the cafe, but nothing mind blowing. While I would definitely buy packaged cheese there again, I don't feel like I need to eat at the cafe again specifically. It was fun to watch the cows get milked and see the racks of cheese wheels.
Kailey P — Google review
Was recommended to me by a co-worker and although it is during the winter it still didn’t disappoint. I definitely look forward to the warmer months to be able to take a full tour. The whole setup was great for the kids as they loved being able to see the calfs up close and pet them… and of course you can’t forget the GOUDA! So delicious
Mike S — Google review
What a great experience!! We got to pet calves, we got to race the pedal tractors, we got to see the cows get milked and we learned a lot about fairy asking the way. The shop is beautiful. The viewing room is cool. The people are nice. The gifts are great!!! If you're looking for a fun stop: this is it!
Bryan L — Google review
A great place to stop with kids! There's a cute playground and other activities for kids, plus you can visit the cows and watch them getting milked or view how the cheese gets made. Plus the food was great and a nice little store with delicious ice cream.

Located in Chippewa Falls, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company is a 145-year-old brewery that offers free tours throughout the year. Visitors can explore the brewery's history and modern operations, with options for one-hour or two-hour tours. The longer tour includes a tasting glass. Reservations are recommended, and there's also a gift shop, lodge rentals, and an event calendar to explore.
We really enjoyed our short time here. The beer was really good and it was fun to learn all the different flavors that you get when mixing different beers. We also bought some shirts (super cute, nice quality) along with some Wisc. cheese and beef sticks. Really nice staff that instantly makes you feel welcomed. They also have a nice patio to enjoy your flight of beer. The only complaint that we have is how early they close on a sat (8pm)
Jessica B — Google review
Really sad to see the brewery production stopping. Had a great time going on tour, fabulous guide. I booked the tour same day and they couldn’t squeeze my husband in, so I went alone. I was super disappointed they couldn’t let him in, seemed like one more wouldn’t have ruined anything. Really neat historical place, definitely recommend! The beer is interesting, lots of fruity choices. Samples come with the tour. Lots of merchandise, super impressive!
Angela T — Google review
I went on a well thought out tour with guide Miranda. Heard how the Leinenkugel beer is made & saw the process to make the beer. Good tasting & merchandise. I got a hat & shirt too. Fun board games, Rummikub, events such as music, trivia, dogs can come outside on certain evenings, & pinball machines.
Trevor G — Google review
A beautiful, open space. They have a section with a detailed history of the brewing company. It has a lot of seating and two bars, which speeds up service because the place can grow busy after work. Unfortunately, they don’t always have all their beers on tap, so you might check before you go if you have your heart set on one in particular.
JC C — Google review
At Leinenkugel's Tasting Brew Pub's cozy bar and retail area in Ladysmith, WI, we skipped the tour but were wowed by bartender Tracey's amazing service. We sampled their craft beer flights and all i can say is wow o wow. My favorite was the white mocha stout, a true sleeper. Was balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness. The $15-per-person, one-hour tour sounds like a no-brainer for next time. Can’t wait to stop by again next year!

A unique brewery with tours operating daily, get out here before Jan 17th 2025 to experience the brewery before the tours cease. We had a great time and our tour guide was great!

Beautiful location with a great tasting room. Was disappointed to find out during the tour that they had shuttered production operations last January. Recommend they let patrons know prior to tour purchase, as the tour is still given as if it’s an active brewery.

Irvine Park Zoo is a 318-acre city park in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, offering a variety of attractions for visitors. The park features a petting zoo, cross-country ski trail, historical buildings such as a 1903 schoolhouse, and picnic grounds. Visitors can explore miles of hiking paths and venture through the zoo to see well-cared-for animals.
Irvine Park is fun to go to anytime of the year the animals are great the kids have a blast they have playgrounds picnic areas animals walking areas the farm. Going around Christmas time is one of my favorites the Christmas display that they put on is so cute. They have tons of lights and figures and at the end towards the animals they have stories which my kids love to stop and read..My kids have a blast doing this. If you go through for the light show there are quite a few cars that go so you may get stuck in a line but it is a decent moving line for the most part. When you go to see the lights you can walk through the parks and the lights or you can drive.

Nice park and zoo with great views. We visited in the end of April so petting zoo was closed and some animal were not visible but we still had a good time. I was impressed at how accessible everything was by wheelchair and walker and the many benches that allowed rest breaks when needed. We did not see the whole area but many kids were enjoying the playground equipment and we enjoyed watching the geese in the river.

This is a great park & zoo! We have 3 children 4 and under and are vacationing in Lake Holcombe. The drive wasn’t too long and this is a great stop perfect for an adventure when not looking for an entire day stop. Bear, hyena, cow, eagle, hawk, and other small animals. Two playgrounds, a trail, and views of the river. And it’s free but you may leave a donation if you want. So glad we stopped! Highly recommend a visit!
Cala N — Google review
If you are in the area, this is a MUST. Our expectations were beyond exceeded, and we are literally planning a trip back to see more of the property. The park itself is both massive, and absolutely GORGEOUS. As for the Zoo, what they are doing is amazing. They have delivered a top notch facility for both the animals and guests alike, and I can enjoy the space in good conscious knowing the animals are being cared for incredibly well. I would strongly recommend this place.
Jason S — Google review
The zoo is really not the highlight of this park, it's the beautiful green space, playgrounds, picnic areas, water features and attention to renewing native plants that make it great! AND it's free. I am impressed!
Faith M — Google review
Unfortunately this place is small, outdated, and sad. The animals all live on concrete floors with almost no enrichment, and there's about 6 of them to see. When we went they were repairing the lion enclosure, which had broken windows and broken wooden bridges inside for the lion. Sadly the animals do not seem happy or well kept, and the zoo owners seem to be asking for donations on every bad review rather than trying to find better homes for these creatures. Avoid at all costs!
Colin Z — Google review
Irvine Park is a beautiful place to explore. A lot of animals to see, nice nature trails with different experience levels, a petting zoo, splash pad, picnic areas and multiple playgrounds. All of the kids (ages 4,10,15) loved the dirt hiking trails by the river, waterfall and rock cliffs. The petting zoo is only opened certain days/times so definitely check if that's what you'd like to see. All of the other zoo animals are in enclosed glass, cages or in large fenced areas outside. The large animals are harder to spot in the fields but more exciting for the kids. Inside you can find frozen drinks, ice cream, snacks, hotdogs and other treats. Plus the museum with tons of really old trinkets, animal furs, even a carriage! I would highly recommend Irvine Park to anyone visiting or local looking for something fun outdoors to do with the family! We go at least once a month if not more! And the Christmas Village every year is breathtaking, definitely check it out if you haven't seen it!
Amyjo — Google review
We actually came across this while trying to find a spot for a picnic while on the road. This was a hidden gems that we enjoyed so much. Would love to come back and explore again. There was not a lot of animals when we went but it is based off donations and I wish I had a million to give away.

Chaos Water Park is an indoor water park located inside Metropolis Resort, offering a variety of attractions suitable for all ages. The park features a lazy river, multiple water slides including a pitch-black tube slide and a slower body slide, as well as an aquatic playground with a giant bucket that splashes everyone below when full. There are also areas for water basketball, lily pad climbing, and even a toddler section with spraying fun.
This place was awesome! Super affordable to get in as well as food/drink. They had a ton of floaties and we never had to wait to get one for the slides or lazy river - even on a super packed Saturday. Hot tub was great for the adults but a little too hot for the kids. Slides were a little slow/tame for my 12 year old. Overall we spent over 6 hours at this place and the kids were in bed early. it was definitely worth the stop.

Had a fun Friday night. We had the place to ourselves for about 30 minutes as we went in at 4pm opening. Didn't really see people arriving until closer to 5. Didn't get very busy during our visit. I'm sure other days are different. Worth a visit regardless of age but younger kids will probably enjoy it the most. Slides are fun for older kids and the lazy river is good for everyone else.

Water slides are perfect for my little kids, my 3 year old is tall enough to ride them. Place is well maintained, lines move fast so not much sitting around.

You guys are good. Although I would recommend adding more stuff, Since my child got bored easily since there was barely any stuff. The slides are good and so is the pool. A lot of balls which made it good since we played Monkey in the Middle but water themed with my son and others.

I really enjoyed this waterpark! It is located inside the Metropolis Hotel in Eau Claire. It's a great waterpark to go to throughout the year since it's located inside. It is perfect for young kids and has several different areas for different ages. It has a smaller play area for the younger kids, a lazy river, a bigger/slightly deeper area for the older kids with a basketball hoop and 2 slides for the bigger kids/adults. It also has tables and chairs everywhere so there's always a place to sit and set your stuff down. There is also a place called Monkey in the Middle Express (pizza) that's located inside the waterpark area so you don't have to leave to get food or drinks if you don't want to. Very pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back and enjoy this waterpark again with our kids!!

Just beautiful! Drove down from the cities for a Saturday afternoon and we're already planning on coming back with friends! As you approach from the river road you see the vineyards and the buildings from the distance, you pull into their spacious parking lot and walk down a path through the trees until you come to the villa's courtyard. We had a drink, did their tasting menu, and some more drinks and a snack in absolutely beautiful surroundings. You really feel like you're in Europe! Well worth the drive for what we think is the best wine we've tried from MN or WI! Can't wait to be back again!

Beautiful place. Unfortunately, that is the only thing positive here. The food was disgusting. Pizza was the worst I've ever had from anywhere. You would expect locally sourced fresh ingredients. But sadly, it is most likely frozen, and the pizza dough is pre-made. I feel bad for the wood oven. Putting pre-made dough sheets that come in a vacuum pack plastic bag is downright disgraceful. The wine just didn't live up to the beauty of this place. A little on the sweet side. Way more winery up and down the beautiful bluff country to try. Just keep driving past this one.

Me now wife and I have had wonderful experiences here throughout our engagement and then leading up to our wedding day. We took our engagement photos at this beautiful winery, which gives off Italy vibes with its courtyard, vineyards, and beautiful architecture. Our photos turned out amazing in no small part to the beautiful buildings and grounds that the property has. We also then had the honor of hosting our rehearsal dinner at Sal de Vino at the winery and we loved everything about it. The servers at the bar and for the food were kind and polite. The space was intimate and allowed both our families to mingle and celebrate. The food was phenomenal !! The lemon chicken pasta and the beef lasagna were huge hits, my grandpa, who doesn’t like anything new, said it was the best chicken he has ever had so that made us very happy to hear! The tiramisu was splendid, very light and tasty! We had some leftovers due to some people not being able to make it and thankfully, they allowed us to take the leftovers and they even boxed everything up for us which was nice of them! We had our videography team there so we did some more shots around the property and can’t wait to see how those turn out! Only thing we wish we had was a microphone and speaker system for the speeches but we made due without them. Overall, we enjoyed it so much we decided to go back on the Sunday after our wedding to do some wine tastings, buy some memorabilia, and get some souvenir bottles of wine to remember the weekend. Whether you are looking for a place to do a rehearsal dinner, get married at, or simply want a cool and unique experience while in the area, look no further!

This is such a beautiful place. I was excited to try their pizza. I was expecting a crispy, thin & fluffy classic Italian pizza with wholesome tomato sauce. My pizza tasted like a school pizza or frozen pizza that was undercooked because the dough was still doughy and chewy. I don't believe it's worth $20. It was a bad experience for their pizza but the vibes were very pleasant.

What a great setting and the buildings make you feel like you are in Italy. Excellent wines as well. I wish the pizzas were a little bigger, but otherwise we really enjoyed it. A play space/playground would be a nice addition to keep the kids busy. Will be back!

⭐ 1/5 This casino has gone downhill fast. They used to send monthly flyers with free play, great promotions, and a solid buffet with reasonably priced, good food. Now? The buffet’s gone, replaced by a lackluster sports book with limited betting options. They yanked all the good slot machines, jacked up the craps minimum bet, and raised food prices while the quality tanked. Daily food promos for players? Either gone or so expensive they’re pointless. Their “Ladies Night” is a scam—you play for free play and drawings, but they don’t even announce hourly winners, just lie about it. No reason to come here anymore. I used to spend a lot but won’t eat or play here again. Save your money and go elsewhere. Response to Casinos comment. I received mailers every month for the past few years, something changed on your end because I played enough to qualify and stopped receiving them. Now when you ask the front desk how to qualify they all give you different vague answers. Plus you don't do any free swipes anymore you have to play $10 to get $15, not really a promo to draw anybody in. Of course Casinos all change slots frequently but you have tightened them up so nobody wins much anymore. All the promos and food prices changed in the last few months and not for the better. You will lose a lot of loyal customers that used to come a few times a week like myself.

We had a lot of fun over our two days, one night at Turtle Lake Casino. Our experience and observations lead us to determine that playing the tables is the way to fatten your pockets. We played a wide variety of slots with little success, in fact nickel wins were pitiful and plentiful. You will do well on live craps and machine craps. The restaurant is a very good value. Will definitely be back.

The casino has gone downhill this past year. Took away the $5 for food monthly. Taking things off the menu and raised prices. Use to get $10 a month to play. Imagine our surprise (and not a nice one!!) to find out we didn't spend enough money in May 2025 to get ANY MONEY for June. WTH?? Apparently if you are not a big spender, you are SOL. No newsletter delivered to us as of June 30th. Apparently going there twice in June didn't get us anything. 😡 Come on!!!! We spend the same amount we have for years, but obviously we are not worthy of being a part of Turtle Lake Casino anymore. So disappointed 😞
Luanne F — Google review
To call this a Sportsbook is not accurate. Severely limited bets so often. I had a 3 team parlay I wanted to get a $1000 limited to $256, what kind of Sportsbook limits parlay bet to $256? If seen futures limited to $28. On any busy sports day, you have to wait in line forever to place a bet while people take 30 minutes to place $5, 10 team parlay. They don’t have Sportsbook employees that know what’s going on, let alone anyone in the casino. The machines stopped working after driving to place thousands in sports wagers (Masters). I was told to talk to a bartender. The bartender told me to talk to floor man, but didn’t know where he was and said he didn’t have authority to call them. He then directed me to beverage manager who knew nothing, because we couldn’t find floor man. After going to the front (they apparently have authority) they called the floor man. Turns out he had no idea what was going on or when it’d be fixed. Maybe it’s an upgrade? He said. I walked out with $6000 in my pocket and drove MI. They don’t know what’s they are doing, won’t keep customers that want to wager real money, and they prob don’t care. My guess is same people have run this casino forever, and it’s easy to be complacent because old people and slot revenue is a very easy, unchanging business. Also, the poker room is a smoke filled hot box on 2nd floor with apparently very little ventilation. This makes $1-$2 NL the best way to take years off your life and increase chance of lung cancer by 20%-30%. Who at the casino thinks this is good for business? The casino seems to employ 10x the security of a normal casino and has several groups of security constantly circling the casino. It's very bizarre. It’s too bad. The opportunity this place has a great opportunity to serve the new demand sports betting is generating in the region, run a legit Sportsbook and pull lots of money from MN / MPLS. They either don’t know what they are doing or don’t care enough to learn customer experience / needs relating to sports betting. Seems they could do so much more with Poker room too. My conclusion is the business is clearly aimed at the old folks who like to smoke and slap 75 cent slots. Very profitable, im certain. And it doesn't require the management / ownership to do anything as it's been the same for decades.

Worst experience in a casino. Party of seven having a great time cut off from the bar suddenly for zero reason. Will never step foot in this or another affiliated property. Terrible security staff and consumer relations experiance. Update: Then I suggest not treating perfectly acceptable consumers like a criminal.

My husband and I had a disappointing experience. We both approached the bar at different times but received the same disrespect and discrimination based on the color of our skin from the same older bartender. We waited patiently for our drinks, but he intentionally skipped serving us and instead helped other customers. His actions were clear, and his behavior was unprofessional and hurtful, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. No customer should be subjected to such treatment. I hope the management takes this matter seriously and ensures that all guests are treated with dignity and respect. This will be the last time I visit this place.

So disappointed in St Croix casino. I am wondering if and when they got new management ,they had a senior day where you could get 15 and free play and Saturday night for the younger people would get 10 in free play now they changed it where you have to get one point. So you have to spend $10 to get 15 That is not a promotion to draw people in. We used to eat in the restaurant three times a week now they cut out all the promos for that. In the last 3 weeks anytime I stop there there's maybe six people in the restaurant there used to be a waiting line to get into eat. I'm assuming they laid off most of the workers. Not sure if they're struggling financially or if they got management that doesn't know how to run things. I hope they turn this around soon because they're losing all their patrons.

Crystal Cave

Temporarily Closed
Nature & Parks
Caverns & Caves
Geological wonder 70 feet underground, with bats, 1-hour tours, gem panning, trail, picnics & shop.
Great experience and the tour guide had little fun facts about each area. There was history, some humor, some educational pieces - fun all around. The cave was neat and stays 50 degrees year round. I wore a light zip up hoodie and it was fine. Gift shop has a lot of fun things. We did the big bucket of fossils and gemstones panning, and it was worth it because both of my kiddos got to scoop and pan several times and got lots of large and small rocks and fossils to take home.
Alice M — Google review
The cave was really cool, but the tour itself was geared more towards kids. It would have been nice for the tour guide to bring us to a spot to take photos or offer to take photos of families/groups. Bathrooms were clean, and the fish fossil wall was really cool!

Took my 3 littles because they LOVE rocks and I actually enjoyed the tour myself! Unlike other cave tours I've done, this tour was far superior!! Usually the cave smells incredibly bad and the walkways are very slippery, but that's the not the case here! The steps and ramps were covered with a carpet, so it wasn't slick at all. The cave also did NOT have a bad smell at all. Our tour guide was Savannah and she was engaged and entertaining! The tour is an hour and goes by quickly, I could have enjoyed a few more minutes to take in each cave room. There is a lot to do on the property, they have several picnic tables and even a covered pavilion. They also do gemstone mining which feels great splashing in the water on a hot day! There are several prairie & wood trails to walk with plaques teaching you about the scene. They also have a mini golf course!! Bathrooms are only available in the lodge separate from the gift shop or down 1 level from the gift shop in the tour debriefing room.

Love Crystal Cave! Had a blast when I was a kid and decided to bring my son. He loved it and had so much fun. As I told him, bring a sweatshirt or a jacket even in Summer. If you’re lucky like we were this last time you might get to see a bat.

Great experience for the family! Had a wonderful outing with niece and nephew. The kids loved the cave tour and the prospecting experience afterwards. Highly recommend if you are in the area and have never been on a cave tour before or even if you have. Each cave has its own story!

Anne did an amazing job as our tour guide. She was super informative and friendly. There was an unruly child in our group, but she maintained professionalism and worked hard to make sure we still had a good time. Highly recommend checking out, especially on a hot day. Was nice and cool in the caves, interesting facts and history.

Beautiful facilities, fantastic gift shop, funny tour guide, and the magical nature of a cave? Count me in! Great place for people of all ages (okay most ages, it probably isn't great if you don't have stable legs!). Loved it though, definitely check it out!

We booked our tour online. When we arrived they gave us keepsake tickets. The tour was an hour long. Hannah, the guide was very knowledgeable. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms in the out building were the cleanest public rest rooms I have ever been in. Gift shop was extensive. We were encouraged to fill out a postcard to family or friend and they would mail it. We had a lot of fun.

Located about 1 mile east of downtown, the store provides stunning views of central Red Wing and the Mississippi River. Visitors can drive to the top or take a hike along marked trails. Three floors. Spacious. Bathrooms Clean (actually smelled nice). Fun to see the world’s largest boot. Upstairs is a museum. First floor is a full-service shoe store. Lower level is outlet and self-serve. The upper-level museum was interesting. Fun to see the history and how their shoes came to be and have evolved. Will be back

Stopped by the Red Wing Shoe Store in Red Wing, MN, and had a great experience! The staff was super friendly and knew their stuff, helping me find the perfect pair of boots. The store has a cool vibe, and seeing the world’s largest boot was a fun bonus. They also have a museum upstairs that gives you a peek into the company’s history. If you’re into quality footwear or just passing through, it’s definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited the Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum and it was an incredible experience! The highlight was seeing the world's largest boot, a unique and impressive sight. The museum exhibit on the second floor offered an insightful look into the history and craftsmanship of Red Wing Shoes. I was also thrilled to find the outlet store on the lower level, where items were marked 30-70% off. Although the selection was more skewed towards men's items, which was a bit disappointing as a female shopper, I understand that their products are often marketed more towards men. Overall, it was a delightful and educational visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in unique attractions and great deals on quality footwear.

A great place to visit. Check out the museum and outlet! Don’t miss the computerized detailed sizing and support map of your own feet! Herman helped us do the precise measurements and learn about insoles. Get a perfect fit in your current shoes, or get new ones at great prices.

What was a pleasure to see the awesome store. It took our breath away to see the big beautiful shoe. This store carried the newly designed products and they were beautiful. Store was beautiful inside the selection and well organized.

Anna did a fantastic job helping my wife with her hiking boots. She was friendly and patient. When there was an issue with the boots she exchanged them for a similar boot with no hesitation. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new pair of high quality shoes. Thanks Red Wing!!
Eric K — Google review
We came to the Red Wing flagship store from Minneapolis after a real good friend’s strong recommendation, hoping to find a good pair of work shoes for my husband, who is an aircraft maintenance engineer. At first, everything was pleasant, we saw a female staff member measuring a customer’s foot with the in-store device, so we took some time to visit the museum section. When she became available, we asked if she could measure my husband’s foot. She kindly asked us to wait a moment, then assigned a male staff member to help us. From the beginning of our interaction, his attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. When we explained that we wanted to measure my husband’s foot for purchasing shoes, his response was cold and simply to let my husband to take shoes off twice. The tone made us uncomfortable. After my husband removed his shoes, the male staff member told us the measuring device wasn’t working and directed us to just look at shoes. Knowing there were two devices in the store (and having just seen the female staff use the other one), I asked if we could use the other machine. He seemed surprised, then said his pad (as a controller) was the problem and he would go find another device. We followed his suggestion to browse the shoes, but by this point, our experience had already been ruined. We quickly left without buying anything. It felt as though this staff member did not want to serve us from the start. Even when I suggested using another device, his response was dismissive. Before making our request, we had no interaction with any staff, and nothing in our behavior could have been considered offensive. This left us wondering whether the poor attitude was related to how we looked or who we were, rather than our request itself. As the flagship store of the brand, I believe employees here should be more mindful of their service, because their actions directly shape the brand’s image in customers’ minds. This experience completely changed our impression of Red Wing.

If you are looking for a pair of boots, this is definitely the place to come. Lots of selections, spacious displays, and some of the friendliest staff that you will ever meet. Be sure to get your picture taken next to the World's Biggest Boot.

Treasure Island Resort & Casino

Resort hotel
Casinos & Gambling
Modern rooms in a Caribbean-themed casino resort with a golf course, bowling alley & indoor pool.
Attended a meeting in an event room. Lunch was marginal for the price we paid for the event. Meeting was clean. Sound system was good. Lighting was good. Plenty of table space. Took a short walk through the casino. Maybe I’m missing something but it seemed small. Lost six bucks
Lisa C — Google review
We attended a concert in the Event Center and ate dinner at Tradewinds. Cannot rate rooms as we did not stay overnight. Tradewinds was great. I recently broke my ankle and am using crutches, the staff member that was seating us made sure we were seated close to the buffet without us requesting it. In the Event Center, a security personal came to me and told me to move my chair out if I needed to be more comfortable. When walking to our vehicle, a shuttle drive yelled out to us to wait and he'd be right there to pick us up. I feel the staff went out of their way to make our night enjoyable. So impressed!! The food was delicious and a great variety. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE experience!!! I was sent an offer that id receive $25 free play. Got there and had to park a million miles from the door and had to walk down sidewalks with sprinklers spraying on us. Next i got to wait in line for 20 min to find out that now since i just waited in line so long that ive missed out on the $25 free play!!!! Then i wanted to leave because the place was dirty and the employees all seemed upset and had attitudes. I play a slot machine and hit the bonus free spins while betting $1.98 a spin so i thought this should win me a few bucks right?? WRONG!! The machine malfunctions and doesnt give me the spins. I hit "start feature" and the game does nothing so i hit spin again and get a regular spin...no free spins, not even 1 when i had just won 20 free spins. I complain and they say theyll send a tech over to look into this. After about 20 min i decide screw this and walk away. I go play another slot machine and start losing and i had deposited $100 so i go to cash out my $69 and I hit collect and then theres a yes or no button, i hit the yes and the machine re-spins at 6 times what ive been betting and i dont win anything at all and the machine takes another $5.28 from my $69. NOW IM PISSED because ive been RIPPED OFF BY TREASURE ISLAND 3 TIMES TONIGHT!!!!!!!! They send a mgr to talk to me and he refunds my $5.28 but ill have to wait for "john" to come pay me since the manager has no cash. I wait for ??? yep you guessed it...about 20 min and i so pissed off that i say to hell with this and i leave. TREASURE ISLAND RIPPED ME OFF 3 TIMES AND AT LEAST 2 OF THEM WERE PURPOSEFUL, IM CONVINCED OF IT!!! This casino will scam you and say whatever to get you there and then hope you spend money with no shot to really win anything. TREASURE ISLAND SELLS A LIE!!! THEYRE FAKE LYING RIP OFFS AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL!!! Do not go there unless you like being treated like a loser that should just give them your money at the door and then turn around and leave before even placing a bet. IM SO PISSED OFF AND I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE AND I ONLY LIVE 20 MIN AWAY!!!!!

I didn't stay at the casino. I attended an out door concert(a lot of walking, and limited beverage choices otherwisea great outdoor venue), then went inside for a cocktail and the music in the lounge. The casino seemed clean, and open. The band wasn't great, but fun. It very warm inside. The break for the set was quite long and we did end up leaving to get closer to home.

GOT SKIN INFECTION AFTER HOT TUB! Friend and I visited Treasure Island hotel on 11/08/25 and bad experience started right away at the check in desk. I booked a Non smoking room and we were given a smoking one and we were informed that that wasn’t guaranteed. The room was $350 for one night. When we entered the room, the air was absolutely unbearable and we could not even bring our bags inside let along sleep in that room. After returning to the front desk asking for a new room, employees told us we had no other choice but to put an air machine there for an hour. So we had to wait an hour after our check in time so they air up the room. After we returned to the room, the smoking odor was not gone, but toned down a notch. The smell was so strong that all of our lag gave for a smoke smell after one night stand. The next morning, fond and I used a hot tub in a pool area. We checked out, by the end of the day I had an irritable spot on my leg and the next day had to check it out at urgent care because of unbelievable pain. I was diagnosed with cellulitis (skin infection) and after telling my doctor that I recently visited a hot tub, he confirmed that some hot tubs lack correct chemicals to kill bacteria and unfortunately that is how I got the infection. Never again will stay at that place. Stay at this hotel at your own health risk.

This organization sold my wife’s and eyes personal information phone number email, etc. it is a dirty experience and they are very shady. We have received over 50 spam phone calls since we registered at the hotel. Way overpriced no hot water in the shower no pressure in the shower room was filthy shady company. I expect to hear from them based on this review with some compensation Highly unlikely however we do not recommend this establishment
Vinnie G — Google review
Tried to remove half a star for reasons, but it wouldn't let me. Casino. So nice to be in a casino not filled with smoke. Most places have a tiny non-smoking section separated by failing magic. This place puts all the smoke in a container room. Not a wide variety of games, but enough slots and table games to loose all your money at. Staff was friendly. The concert venue outside was great. Nothing special, but no complaints. There is an awesome kid drop area with right security that let us leave our little ones to play for an hour or two. When we got back they were upset they had to leave! $15 an hour was worth it. The food is overpriced, of course, but generally good. The cheeseburgers in the bowling alley beat the other area, but we're a bit more expensive. The pool area is mostly great. Two bigger water slides, a basketball area, a lazy river, and a little area for kids. A swim up bar for grown ups as well. Only complaint was none of the hot tubs allowed kids in them. (We snuck in one anyhow though). The entire area has a beautiful terrace view as well. No complaints with the room. Perfectly fine. It's about 25 extra minutes to get here then our local casino, but we'll worth it!
Christopher B — Google review
We went here to gamble. Games were incredibly tight. No wins, no bonus, just really bad. They sent us all the way to the back of the facility to get our gift and the gift shop was closed. We were really pissed after walking all that way. Overall, not worth the trip coming here. Won't be back.

Willow River State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Park
3,000-acre riverside park encompassing Little Falls Lake with a waterfall, swimming & canoeing.
We had such a wonderful time! This is my second time coming here and we did the main trail around the main park. We hiked for 3.5 hours and it was so beautiful. The trail is well kept and the signage is sufficient to follow the correct trail. We did come across some outdoor toilets that seemed to be under construction or damaged. We had a wonderful time! Out of state is $16 per car for entry.

If going to hike to the falls at this park it is steep but solid wide trail! With plenty of benches to stop and take breaks along the beautiful walk to see the falls. We hiked with a little 12 year old doggy and a 7 year old it was perfect! Wonderful bridge and a look out at the falls. The look out is a serious amount of steps but very well maintained and again doable for most able to walk. Just take your time and enjoy the hike.
Paul H — Google review
A super popular state park with a wonderful waterfall spot, as well as a campground, nature center & recreational lake with beach areas. Several hiking trail options to access the falls. Lots of people walking along the rocks of the falls to enter the water or simply put feet in the cold water. It can get very busy on holiday weekends with parking teas filling. We ended up having to leave the main entrance of the park to drive to a separate parking area for the Burkhart Trail. Definitely a must see park!
Susan S — Google review
This is a great park to hike. The paths are easy to walk, handicap accessible (not sure on the northern silver trail or the pink trail), and most of the trails are compacted earth. I should note, the silver trail to the falls is VERY steep, it'll give you a workout.
Eli S — Google review
Beautiful fall hike to see some local waterfalls. The hill to go to the Falls from the closest parking lot to the entrance of the park has a very steep incline. It was hard to get back up that hill after hiking around. Also, it’d be nice if they had more restroom and or outhouse opportunities for people that are hiking.
Jasmine B — Google review
This was a great, off the radar and quiet park. Really nice hiking trail around the lake and the waterfall is very cool. The stairs up to the lookout are worth the effort. Lots of open space on dam end of lake. Really enjoyed the variety along the trails.

Willow State Park is such a beautiful spot for a quick nature getaway. We recently visited on a Friday afternoon in August, and the highlight was definitely the waterfall. The walk from the parking area to the falls took us about 15 minutes. The trail is mostly paved, which gave us good traction, but be prepared—there are some very steep sections that can get your heart pumping. The combination of shaded areas and open stretches made the walk enjoyable, and along the way you can hear the rushing water getting closer, which builds the excitement. When we arrived, the falls were absolutely gorgeous—powerful yet peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause and just take in the scenery. That said, a word of caution: the rocks around the falls are covered in moss and can be extremely slippery. Our daughter unfortunately slipped and hit her head, which was scary. We’d definitely recommend sturdy, non-slip shoes and taking your time if you decide to explore the rocks. There were about 50 people around the falls when we went—enough to give it a lively atmosphere but not so many that it felt overcrowded. Families, couples, and even solo hikers were all enjoying the view. A fun feature worth mentioning is the bridge setup: there’s a built-in phone holder positioned perfectly for selfies with the falls in the background. It’s a clever and convenient touch that makes capturing the memory a breeze. All in all, Willow State Park is a gem. The short hike makes it accessible to most visitors, the scenery is stunning, and the amenities—like the selfie station—show that the park is thoughtfully maintained. Just remember to watch your footing near the water and you’ll have a safe, memorable trip.

This was our first visit the weekend of Labor Day. The falls were gorgeous. There was plenty of room to space out from other families, we even brought a blanket to sit down on the rocks and had a picnic with our Littles. My only complaint would be the walk back up to the parking lot was brutal for my four and five-year-old. However, it was nice to have a bench here and there periodically to pause and take a break. Overall, a beautiful place to visit.

This is a great relaxing boat tour. From the moment of arrival we were greeted with friendliness. During the boat tour the narrator has some good jokes and bits of historical information. We saw a beautiful bald eagle - which, apparently, is common to see in this area. If you're coming up this way, it's a great boat tour to join. We would do this boat tour again.

Bring a jacket and warm clothes. The tour is great, especially in the fall. The boat is roomy and has a bar. There is a small set of bathrooms, if needed. The staff is good. Parking is a little strange, but not hard to figure out. We recommend this tour! A fun way to see the river side of both Wisc and MN, cliffs and dalles.

I had always driven past this place as a kid and always wanted to stop and try it out. Now with my family we finally went it was a great experience. With young kids, I wanted to find something they would love and our two year old LOVED it! There is great seating on the lower deck that is enclosed or on the open upper deck. We went on a Sunday in early June which was a great choice so it was not too busy. There is plenty of space to walk around on the two decks to see all the views so there you’re not out of luck if you don’t get a good seat. A staff remember commentated parts of the trip was great to learn about the interesting landmarks and history of the area. Great experience!

Interstate State Park is a picturesque riverside park located in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking among old lava flows and glacial potholes, canoeing, camping, and fishing along the rushing St. Croix River. Visitors can explore natural geological marvels like the Bake Oven and the Bottomless Pit on the Pothole Trail, which features stunning vistas but requires navigating numerous steps.
This is a wonderful place to visit, and it’s only an hour from the Twin Cities. We spent two nights in Taylors Falls near the end of winter, and on the way back home, we stopped by Stillwater since it was along the way. In the summer, it’s probably easy to walk the trails here, but in the winter, it can be a challenge. We’ll definitely come back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Stopped by after work, this place was recommended by coworker. I’m visiting from Houston and I love sight seeing. It was not busy during my arrival on a Wednesday around 7pm. Paid 7 dollar for day parking. You can always enter through the Minnesota side also and the parking uses the same tag. Plenty of parking and I notice there’s a couple of park benches along the way. Trails were very nice, easy for folks of all ages to trek. You can explore the rocky area at your own risk, I wouldn’t recommend it for kids unless you feel comfortable. This place is really beautiful and I wished I had more time to explore. Mother Nature is a true artist.

One of my favorite parks. The stairs on the bluffs trail look like they need some love, but otherwise great views, lots of trail options, can ride the paddle boat for a fee (as of my post, it's dog friendly as well at no extra charge). There's canoe/kayak rental and a shuttle bus that will bring you back. Lots of options. Campground is less than a mile down the road from town.

9/29/25 2pm. A nice and interesting State Park to visit along the St Croix River. Typically busy, but not on this Monday is why we went. Barely anyone there and as a result lots of parking. It was unseasonably hot, 85, so we didn't do a lot of walking around like we usually do. The unusual rock formations in the park are a contrast to the rugged jagget rocks and cliffs along the St Croix River.

I had never heard of Interstate State park and have lived mostly in Minnesota most of my life. So, for me personally on this Labor Day adventure the enjoyment for me was seeing a part of Minnesota I didn't know exist. I'm overweight and out of shape so was a bit intimidated by a lot of hiking. I did though see the visitor center and go a short way down the potholes trail near the visitor center. I was very impressed by what I saw and there were lots of people there and it was a short but fun enriching experience. It was nice to commune with nature and see these potholes. I'm truly amazed by the glacial potholes. I found inspiration for my fitness goals maybe to hike there someday. I will hopefully return and do a longer hike, camp etc. I really liked it there though and it was beautiful late summer weather. I highly recommend anyone check out this place.

We've been there many times and it's gorgeous there. The paths and trails are clearly marked and the parking is easy. The camping is fun and they have great spaces to set up tents. I highly recommend checking it out. Plus it's near Stillwater where there you can shop or grab some food.

A great park! Interstate State Park actually has two parts. I hiked the Walter Mondale River trail along the St. Croix River to the Wisconsin side and then hiked around the potholes, etc. These pictures are on the MN side. I would suggest hiking shoes so that you can climb up on the ledges and rocks. There is a very nice picnic area and a boat launch where people put in their canoes and kayaks. I did not stay at the campground.

We had a lovely midafternoon Sunday stop here to try out the token flight and enjoy some food. The place was busy, but the service was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the wines that we tried, which came as a pleasant surprise, and even bought two bottles to take home. We also had the Lady Gaga garlic cheese bread naan and the Stevie Nicks chicken pesto pizza; there was a bit of a wait for the food, because the place was indeed busy, but what came out was absolutely delicious. We're already talking about doing another trip here to try more wines!

We held a small wedding shower in the tasting area. The staff was so helpful with the planning and set up of the event, especially Carie, the event coordinator. She always kept in contact with me and was on top of things with the food and drink orders. The staff was amazing at figuring out our needs and were flexible. The food food was wonderful and the wine was excellent. It was an enjoyable experience all around. I will be a customer going forward even though they are 40 minutes away. They are definitely worth the trip.

Staff is very welcoming and nice. My mom and I stopped in on a whim and split a Betty white sandwhich; which was a very good chicken Sammy with bacon added for little extra. Flight options with the staff usually willing to "extend" your curiosity. Walked away with two new bottles of great wine.

We had our wedding ceremony at the vineyard in Dennison, and our wedding reception at the winery on 10/4/2024. The vineyard and winery are both 2 beautiful & perfect properties, and made our wedding vision come true! Abby was phenomenal to work with! We truly appreciate her and her team for working with us to make our day special! Thank you again to the CRW staff ❤️

I've lived in the area most of my life and never knew this gem existed! Great atmosphere, full menu, local wine, and visitation hilarious merchandise!

It has a very open atmosphere, very spacious. I am not a huge wine drinker but the three kinds I tried were good. My wife who rarely drinks wine had two glasses of a sweet white that was recommended by the waitress. I had a Betty White sandwich and it was pretty good. We both enjoyed our time there

The air is cooling, the days are getting shorter, and soon, we'll start to see autumn colors. A wonderful sightseeing destination, just south of the Twin Cities, is Cannon River Winery. The professional, charming, and talented staff will impress you as you visit this winery in downtown Cannon Falls, MN. You'll enjoy the menu, entertainment, and especially the wine. I highly recommend this local business, Cannon River Winery, which produces an excellent made in Minnesota product.

Pretty nice small town winery! The staffs are very friendly and helpful. It costs you small amounts and you can taste a couple of their breweries. What we had was very fruitful taste, mild for everyone. They have indoor and outdoor tables for you to enjoy yours leisurely... There is a big parking lot by the winery. Also, the Cannon River trail is right next. Very convenient if you prefer a walk after your wine taste.

Pine Tree Apple Orchard

Orchard
Sights & Landmarks
Seasonal strawberry & apple picking at a farm with a corn maze, orchard walks & a cider store.
*THIS IS NOT A PICK YOUR OWN APPLE ORCHARD* All in all a good orchard to visit. There’s limited exploring as the apple trees are roped off to limit damage. The general store is the main attraction with a wide variety of apples, pies, donuts and other baked goods. Unfortunately the maze and pumpkin patch areas are closed off until 1 pm. Ample space for sitting outside and enjoying the baked goods, with a handful of tables scattered around.
Lindsay B — Google review
Great apple cake and apple donuts. They also sell jams, honey and maple syrup. You can walk along some apple trees and to a pumpkin patch. You can pick your own pumpkins, but cannot pick your own apples. The apples are pre-bagged in the store. There is also a corn maze. Not dog friendly. Free entry.
Mai X — Google review
Welcoming environment. The line for the store was long but went VERY quickly. They staff has a great system setup for keeping everyone moving and satisfied. Scenic apple orchard walk.
Sarah D — Google review
High quality apples and a variety of baked goods and cider. Busy place but they keep the registers going fast. This is another White Bear Lake landmark. Watch out for the limited hours! They close early.
Davin M — Google review
YOU CANNOT PICK YOUR OWN APPLES. It's really just an store that sells apples and has a picnic area. Also has a corn maze but only from 1 pm to 3 pm on Saturdays to Sundays.
Yulha P — Google review
We had our annual apple orchard bicycle ride today — great area to ride in. I had my heart set on a piece of apple pie. HOWEVER, what they define as apple pie is 2 inches square and a bare 1/2 inch thick, like NO apple pie I or Mom or Grandma ever made (unless making BARS), plus their prices are sky high — like buying at the grocery store when no middleman and the crust had a list of chemicals in the ingredient list, so definitely not homemade and tasted like LARD. NO good prices on anything and not affected by DJT tariffs. Buy your pie at any store and get a REAL piece of pie and skip Pinetree. Oh, and no cafe since Covid so there is that as well.
Mary M — Google review
Best store if you're looking for Apple goods. They are getting cheaper every year it seams. The rollovers were the best, but now they've gotten very skimpy on the filling and frosting. Still worth going if you want good food.

The Science Museum of Minnesota, established in 1907, is a sprawling complex located on the north banks of the Mississippi River. The museum offers hands-on exhibits and IMAX dome theater movies that explore various scientific disciplines. Visitors can delve into evolution, paleontology, and the natural history of Minnesota, with an extensive collection of fossils including stegosaurus and triceratops bones. Additionally, the museum hosts diverse traveling exhibits such as Viking history and Egyptian mummies.
TONS of activities for all ages to engage your mind and lots of exhibits to see. There are even musical stairs - that was super neat! Dinosaur exhibit, sports activity section, old-time gadget section, shells, tug boat, weather station, ... oh, and make your own tv news broadcast - that was a comical blast!!! - - and so much more. Spent the entire afternoon here & finished with a movie. Parking was safe & easy. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite museums growing up going on school field trips. Went back on my 24th birthday and still loved it 😁 I'm a little disappointed they removed the upstairs restaurant though because that was my favorite and the cafe isn't the same otherwise it was awesome. 10/10 recommend for all ages

A Fantastic, Educational, and Fun Experience for All Ages! I recently visited the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul, and it was truly a wonderful experience. This museum is a perfect blend of education and entertainment, offering something for everyone — from curious kids to inquisitive adults. The exhibits are not only informative but also incredibly engaging. You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into designing each section to make science accessible, hands-on, and fun. One of the highlights for me was the dinosaur exhibit. The fossil displays were impressive, especially the triceratops skeleton, and the interactive stations explaining paleontology were great for kids and adults alike. Another standout was the Human Body Gallery, which had fascinating displays on anatomy, health, and even real preserved organs (not for the squeamish, but definitely educational!).The museum also features rotating exhibits — when I visited, there was one about climate change and sustainability that was both eye-opening and hopeful. It didn’t just present the problems, but also showed real-world solutions and how people can take action. The staff and volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions or guide you through the exhibits. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and there were plenty of places to sit, snack, or take a break. The gift shop and café were also enjoyable additions to the experience. If you're in the Twin Cities area, this museum is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, the Science Museum of Minnesota is an enriching destination that makes learning truly enjoyable!

This is a wonderful hands on interactive science museum with so many fun places for kids and adults to learn. The IMAX movie was fantastic. Dinosaurs and the human body exhibits were excellent. Have a nice lunch on the Mississippi River.

I was surprised I had to pay for entrance since every other state I've lived in was free. $60 for me and the kid. Kids hotdog was $12 for just a regular old dog. Double Smash burger was $20. Way over priced place I think. Other than that they are a very nice museum. The T.Rex Imax was great. 8yo loved it. Not over crowded and very clean. I actually like St Paul much better than Minneapolis.
Johnny R — Google review
Worth the visit! Family of 4 (including 15yo & 10yo) spent 3 hours here and truthfully could have easily spent 4 hours covering the 3 floors of hands on fun. * get tickets ahead of time and avoid the entrance bottleneck * we paid $19 to park next door in river view parking lot.

Arena
Sights & Landmarks
Xcel Energy Center, located in downtown St. Paul, is a state-of-the-art arena that serves as the home of the Minnesota Wild hockey team and hosts various concerts and events. The venue, which opened in 2000, offers an exciting atmosphere for fast-paced NHL games as well as entertaining shows on ice and regular concerts. Adjacent to the center is the Science Museum of Minnesota, where visitors can explore STEM-focused themes and enjoy films at the Omnitheater.
What a great Arena. I’ve been to a few arenas over the years and this was the best atmosphere I’ve got to experience. The food quality at the concession stands was higher quality and better variety than many sports venues. I felt the design and theme of the arena was fitting for Minnesota and the Wild. The little details matter and add to the excitement of the game. Great family experience. My kids and I got to watch Fluery possibly play in his last NHL game and win it in overtime in a thriller. We also got an official warm-up puck from Fluery before the game. Truest a memorable experience.

One of the best venues to see a concert at. I have been to more than one concerts here and the sound at all of them has been unmatched. The arena feels so intimate despite its capacity. Truly amazing! (For reference I have sat on the floor for all concerts!)

Super fun watching big time rush concert with my daughter. We had great seats. I felt bad for the people at the back and way high up because they didn’t have screens going around the stadium—just the ones up front. Also there was no iced coffee that night—kind of a bummer. Sound quality was great (aka deafening). I’ll need to remember my ear plugs next time!
Kristi S — Google review
Visiting from out of town, and this stadium was very nice! Enjoy our experience here, and would return if I had the chance. People were very kind, Michelob golden beer with souvenir cup was like $13 so heads up. Parking is an issue here, unless you wanna pay $30 across the street.

This was our first time to watch the Wild at Grand Casino Arena. It seems there is not a bad seat in the rink. Plenty of bathrooms and convenience stands for everyone. Everywhere seems clean and safe with the presence of police throughout and outside the arena. Lastly, it's very easy to get into and exit, with a helpful, friendly staff.
Michael R — Google review
Great venue. Very clean and tidy; the staff were all super welcoming and friendly. Seats are tight, but what do you expect from a sports venue? Food selection was above what I expected. I will say they just bend you over with the price of a beer, but once again, it's kinda expected.

Great Experience!! Went for a Wild Hockey Game!! It was a packed House!! They had a $6 happy hour before the Game. The Seats were comfortable, Great views of the Ice. Highly suggest going to a game if your in St Paul.

The center also houses the Minnesota History Center Library, which is open to the public for research purposes. Visitors can explore intriguing exhibitions, live performances, and educational programs suitable for all ages.
This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back! There are so many artifacts and exhibits. We arrived at noon and left at closing time 4 pm. Yes, you will need at least 4 hours to truly experience and appreciate all this place has to offer. We had the pleasure of meeting an employee named Carol and her knowledge, charisma and friendliness made our visit so much better! This place is fun for all ages, although the WWII footage and short film might be too graphic for the little ones. Overall, a great place to learn about Minnesota history and its people.

Today was one of the free days. I work at a group home and brought one of the individuals today. He had a blast today. Very interesting to him and it wasn't at a level that was too hard so he didn't understand. There were hands on things to keep people of all ages and mental capabilities engaged. They had the band playing today as well. The view from outside is amazing as well... you can see the Capitol and downtown St. Paul. Definitely recommend going.

We had such a great time at the Minnesota History Center! My kids had an absolute blast — it was so engaging and interactive that we completely lost track of time. We ended up staying for hours and still didn’t get to see everything (we had to leave because the kids were “starving” 😂). There’s so much to learn here for all ages, and it’s presented in such a fun, hands-on way. We’ll definitely be back to explore more. Highly recommend!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and it didn’t feel too busy at all. Lots of space and room to explore. Had a great time exploring the Julia Child exhibit. Very well done and interactive. If you love Julia Child don’t miss it! The other exhibits are awesome as well! I’m always learning something new when I go there!

One of my favorite places in Minnesota. The Native American exhibits, and the I-35 bridge collapse exhibit are very moving. The military exhibits are also phenomenal, and so immersive for kids. The tornado simulator…. OMG. The list goes on. There are so many cool pieces of Minnesota history here, and interactive exhibits for kids.
Heather L — Google review
Inspiring space. Exhibits touch on key parts of the Minnesota experience. The Native American exhibits are thoughtfully put together. Kids have plenty of room and spaces to go. We enjoyed the short play about a Minnesota member of the Greatest generation. There was also a craft in an atrium. Thanks to all the volunteers.

This museum is great! I remember loving it as a kid and now that I live in Saint Paul I'm here a couple times a month. Every Thursday evening is FREE! They also have some cool free events like crafting, movies, talks, etc. There are a lot I'm interested in but I can't always make it 🥲 There is parking which is also free on Thursday evening. One downside is that they took out a nearby bridge which makes accessing the museum more difficult, but hopefully it will reopen!

The Cathedral of Saint Paul, also known as the National Shrine of the Apostle Paul, is a magnificent beaux arts cathedral located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This grand church was built between 1904 and 1915 and boasts French-inspired architecture with a giant 23-meter wide copper dome and spire. Situated on an elevated hilltop, it offers stunning views of the downtown district.
The Cathedral of Saint Paul is the most magnificent cathedral that I have visited to date!! It is beyond breathtaking. We attended 7:30 AM Mass on a Monday morning, and we were in awe… We did not take advantage of the guided tour, but we did return to purchase items from the gift shop. If you’re hoping to join the guided tour, I encourage you to call or fill out the tour availability form online. Visiting Cathedral of Saint Paul is highly recommended for all!!

I only visited the Cathedral of Saint Paul once, but it left a big impression. The architecture is stunning — massive, detailed, and beautiful inside and out. Walking in, you immediately feel the history and sense of peace. Even if you’re not religious, it’s worth stopping by just to take in the design and the atmosphere. Definitely one of the most breathtaking landmarks in Saint Paul!
Kalli A — Google review
First important hint: the doors may look Like they are closed, just go ahead and push it. It may be due to the weather. That said, visiting the Cathedral of Saint Paul is rewarding experience, it warms your soul. Regardless of your religious point of view, just go and feel it, you won’t regret. It is a peaceful place full of art and details. Stained glasses, sculpture, history…and it is indescribable what you feel when someone is playing the pipe organ. It is powerful! Make sure you reserve enough time, if you like details like I do. It is also a great idea to bundle this with other places around like the Minnesota Capitol and WWII memorial. It is a pleasant walk between buildings, specially during the fall with its astonishing colors.

The weekend guard made an already awesome visit both informative and welcoming. Many thanks for keeping this wonderful treasure open most of the time -- its cousin St. Paul's in London charges 35 pounds sterling to visit! (and it's not that much bigger than ours, the third largest US cathedral and sixth largest church in the nation)

Best two hours of the trip! A true masterpiece and the crown jewel of St. Paul. The architecture is stunning on a grand scale, reminiscent of the great cathedrals in Europe. The interior is vast, peaceful, and filled with beautiful details, from the soaring dome to the intricate stained-glass windows. You don't have to be religious to be moved by the grandeur and history of this place. A must-visit when you're in the Twin Cities.

Such a beautifuland breathtaking Cathedral filled with details and history everywhere. There is a small shop inside, there was a big mass the day of so it was full. And there's a timeline on the bottom.

The Cathedral of Saint Paul is nothing short of breathtaking. From the moment you approach it, the grand architecture captures your attention — and once inside, the soaring ceilings, intricate details, and stunning stained glass create an atmosphere of peace and reverence. During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the deacons, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to greet us warmly, share a bit about the history of the cathedral, and made us feel truly at home. That personal touch made the visit all the more special. Whether you come for worship, reflection, or to admire the artistry of this historic building, the Cathedral is a must-see in Saint Paul. It’s a place where beauty, history, and genuine hospitality come together.
Ed — Google review
The Cathedral of St. Paul is magnificent — its architecture is breathtaking and filled with reverence. The dome, stained glass, and ornate details reflect extraordinary craftsmanship and devotion, creating a space that surrounds you with faith. The only drawback was the warmth inside on a hot day and difficulty hearing the priest from the back during Mass. The sermon was engaging, but we caught only about two-thirds of it. Even with those minor issues, this Cathedral is a sacred and awe-inspiring place well worth experiencing.
