Stadium
Baseball club
Spectrum Field is a small, intimate baseball stadium in Clearwater, Florida that is home to the local minor league team, the Clearwater Threshers. The stadium has an electrifying atmosphere and is particularly popular with Phillies fans during spring training sessions. Tickets for minor league baseball games tend to be cheaper than tickets for televised MLB matches.
Always a great experience! A lot of value and fun for all ages. I have 3 kids 6 - 13 yrs old and they all love this stadium. The Berm is their favorite - an open grass area in the outfield for them to run around. Also a play ground for the kids to blow off some steam. Good food choices and very reasonable prices.

Phillies played the Twins and won 6-2. Beautiful day, beautiful park, getting out of the parking lot stinks, there is home supply store in the same lot. Otherwise an amazing little ballpark. Holds almost 8,500 people.
Terri B — Google review
We always have so much fun going to the games when it’s Dog Days! Supporting a great cause while also bringing your pup. The staff is always friendly and the stands are always clean. Definitely doesn’t disappoint for a good date night or a fun night out.
Taylor M — Google review
Great ballpark, went for threshers game with family, friendly staff throughout with exception to fella on door at merch store screening people for food or beverages. Plenty of concessions throughout, fair pricing, minimal lines, would definitely return, oh and the brisket sandwich was huge, with as much topping as you want

I am from out of town and this ball park made me feel like home. I am an Indianapolis, Indians fan though and though but the staff was really friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to see a ball game here if you have time.
Christopher A — Google review
It's was my very first time at this park, I got to sing the national anthem, and I loved it. This park had a playground, and all kinds of wonderful little restaurants around. A little pricey but so what.
Sherry S — Google review
Seeing the Phillies during spring training is an annual event for me. Great park once you get there. Traffic is congested, give yourself plenty of time to get there. Parking is pretty close and reasonably priced (considering other places I’ve parked for sporting events). Once you are inside the complex, it’s a great time. I will go back … I’ll be there every spring!
Paul B — Google review
one of the best spring training stadiums in florida, great food, fun workers, and the yankees got the W, the lemonade they sell is so good, and 200 section is the best area of the stadium, ive been here so many times and never had a problem, the elevators are cool

Aspirations Winery in Clearwater offers a delightful wine tasting experience with a great selection of wines to suit every palate. Located near Brighthouse Field, it's a popular spot for tours and tastings, as well as hosting events like bingo nights. Visitors have raved about the tour package, which includes trying five different wines of choice, receiving two stemless wine glasses, a free bottle of wine, and enjoying a tour of the facility accompanied by cheese, bread, grapes, and chocolate.
This place is amazing. The wine tour with Jessica was even better. The wines are great but the real treat was Jessica's personality making the whole experience wanting to come back for more! Looking forward to going back to the events they have planned every month! Go and have a great time. You won't be disappointed! Highly recommend booking the wine tour online because you get an online discount but if you forget to book online they are still willing to give you the tour( with out the discount) but in the end either way I felt it was all worth it!

They hosted my baby shower, and it was incredible. The space was beautiful and the charcuterie table was to die for. They did such an amazing job! I hope more people book parties here, they are the nicest people and so helpful! Thank you all again for a beautiful party! ❤️

Aspirations venue was perfect for my agency's 25 Anniversary Celebration. The owner Bill was responsive to all my questions ahead of the event, and checked in frequently with me during the event to make sure all is well. His crew was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Aspirations for your next event.
Lory S — Google review
Recently hosted my grandmother’s 90th surprise birthday celebration in this beautiful space! From start to finish, everything was just amazing & so easy. Bill was present the entire time with me in the months leading up to the celebration. He answered every question and concern I had. Allowed us into the space with plenty of time to set up. The bartenders that were part of our celebration were just phenomenal. There was plenty of room for our super large group to dance & mingle the night away. My grandmother is still talking about her night! The space does get a little bit stuffy but it is summer & there were a lot of people inside but that won’t deter me from using this space again! Thank you again to Bill & his team for providing us with such an amazing experience! I 100% will use this space again!

We used the event hall at Aspirations Winery after viewing several other venues. We held a party for about 50 people, and the hall was perfect. The owner Bill was extremely accommodating and worked with me for some extra requests, the pricing was very good, and he and also referred an incredible DJ - Queen T. Highly recommended!

We all had so much fun!!! We loved trying all of the different wines and the tour was very informative. Thank you for a lovely evening. ❤️🍷

What a fabulous find. Local winery with such a great variety of wines. Something for everyone. Decent food and wonderful staff. Wine down Wednesday and music bingo was a set. Thank you Bill for making it a really fun night. Definitely will be back.

I was taken here on my birthday for a wine tour that came with a few samples of wine. The staff was very friendly and informative. When you take the tour, you will learn so much about the wine making process. After the tour you are given a menu to select which wines you would like to taste. I would definitely recommend stopping by. I will be coming back whenever I come back to the Clearwater area.

Nestled in the heart of Clearwater, Moccasin Lake Nature Park is a serene escape that offers an enchanting blend of nature and education. Spanning over 50 acres, this hidden gem features tranquil oak-lined paths and diverse wildlife, including birds of prey and peacocks. Visitors can explore 1.5 miles of boardwalk trails that meander through lush forests, making it perfect for leisurely strolls or more challenging hikes with stunning views from elevated bluffs.
I loved this park. They have rescued birds-of-prey here. We watched them feed the owls. It was fascinating . They have a blind falcon and other beautiful birds that have found a safe home here. There's really nice hiking trails and a butterfly garden, but the highlight was the marsh area. We saw so much wildlife! I can't wait to go back.
Cathy M — Google review
My first time visiting this park. "Let's go for a walk" We entered the park and there was plenty of parking available. The Nature Center is there first building where you're greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff, a cute hognose snake (I don't like snakes, but this one has a cute little head, I was so intrigued!) Eagles, Falcons, Hawks, butterflies! And a walk down the trail leads you to the Moccasin Lake. It's absolutely a wonderful place for an afternoon walk, for children to visit and enjoy presentations and nature. Highly recommend it!
Maria S — Google review
1 hour worth of trails Small butterfly garden Education areas with animals Clean bathroom Plenty of areas to sit and picnic Tranquil little Park setback in the neighborhood, but the views once you get there couldn't be overstated. The amazing trail system is well taken care of and boasts plenty of boardwalks with beautiful Vistas. Small creeks and a river run through this park wonderfully pinpointed by a few ponds. There are some sunny areas, but it's mostly a beautiful shaded walk through the woods. I definitely wasn't expecting there to be an Aviary showing off some of the areas bird culture, which was pretty amazing and educational.
Rex D — Google review
Very cool place,95% nice smooth walking and bridges... They have a very cool, awesome raptor sanctuary too! Vultures, Hawks, a bunch of owls!! So so cool! Saw a good amount of wildlife too! Snakes, turtles, gecko, a bunch of birds, and of course a few gators!! Far away gators! Didn't know why my FIL has hidden it from me. Easy access too right off Gulf to Bay! Give your donation when you get there!
Doug D — Google review
What an experience for any raptor lover! We found the trails to be very pleasant. Can’t believe we can access 51 acres of bliss.
Brigitte F — Google review
Perfect small, local park featuring a building with educational exhibits and a large, comfortable building with a/c for programs and available for private parties. There are trails, a view of the lake, and a small but very nice playground area. The best part are the outdoor enclosures which house the many various species of birds of prey. There are American Bald Eagles, as well as several different types of hawks and owls, and others.
Sara M — Google review
I started by walking the loop with the playground, butterfly garden and pond. It was gravel with a few sections of boardwalk and shade. There were a handful of caged birds on display. Didn't spend much time because I hate birds. One section was closed for repairs to the boardwalk, so I'll have to come back.
Kelsey S — Google review
A great place to go for long walks in nature. Some areas were closed off due to Hurricane Milton damage. They have a picnic area and air conditioned bathrooms as well as the clubhouse also has bathrooms and cold water. Very relaxing. Can't wait to go back and enjoy all the trails.

Ruth Eckerd Hall, located in Clearwater, is a spacious and contemporary concert venue that offers a diverse range of entertainment including music, comedy, and Broadway shows. The hall's design ensures an unobstructed view from every seat, providing an intimate and immersive experience for all guests. Known for hosting renowned musicians and electrifying concerts, it has become a go-to destination for live performances in the Tampa Bay area.
I love coming here. I’ve seen some great acts here and there is not a bad seat into the house that I have found. Nice little Biergarten in the back for concert day. Parking could be waaaay worse. Never takes long to leave when compared to other venues.
Jen N — Google review
Very impressive venue! especially loved the set up for the pre-show dinner with appetizers. It was delicious and George Thorogood was absolutely amazing! Also love the outside garden area! highly recommend checking this place out plus the staff was very friendly I look forward to attending another rock ‘n’ roll band. concert.
Danna C — Google review
Excellent sound in this venue for the stand up comedy show I attended. The security was quick and efficient. There are lots of ushers to help guide you to your seat. Decent amount of leg room. The are no central aisles in this theater so if your seats are in the middle and you need to get out you have to walk all the way past the other guests so get your beverages and snacks before you seat down. The seats are padded a little and pretty comfortable. I thought the temperature could have been a little lower. I wore a lightweight long-sleeved shirt and I was a little warm but not hot. The security is plentiful and present throughout the entire show and when leaving. It felt safe in here. Exiting is a little bit of a jam because all patrons have to move down the aisles but not too bad. Uber prices were extremely high after the show but I walked a mile away and it dropped by 30$. I will return for a musical show to check the acoustics. I recommend!
Matthew — Google review
Saw Brit Floyd here. I've seen them well over 10 times in 3 states. This venue was much more lit than others which affected the light show. For some reason they opted to not make it dark enough. Other than that the show was great and the staff was friendly. Of course they charge way too much for drinks.
Jay L — Google review
recently saw George Thourgood along with the Artemis Pyle Band at Ruth Eckerd Hall, and it was an excellent concert. The sound quality was fantastic, and the venue itself is a great size—big enough for a lively crowd, but still intimate enough that you feel close to the stage. The Artemis Pyle Band especially put on an incredible show. The hall offers plenty of options for drinks, with multiple bars and lounges available before and during the show. The only downside is that the alcohol prices are pretty steep. Overall, Ruth Eckerd Hall is a solid concert venue with great performances, friendly staff, and good amenities—just be prepared for higher drink prices
Max A — Google review
Great concert and performance hall. Easy to find your seat and plenty of room to sit comfortably. Does have an elevator for people who can not climb stairs. Plenty of parking, and they do have valet parking. I will definitely be attending more events there!
Dawn S — Google review
This place is a great musical venue! We've seen a few concerts here. Access and parking was a breeze. There's a little hidden gem on the back side of the building. When you make your way through Ruth Eckard Hall work your way around the back and you'll find a quant little area outside. There is a bar, comfortable seating along with some tables and chairs to relax in before the show. The last concert we attended there was a duo playing outside which was offered a great vibe! All in all, it was a great experience and we love going there. Cheers!
Robin N — Google review
GREAT PLACE to see entertainers & shows. Really good experience & not too far from Hernando County. Comfortable seating and good concession services provide almost everything you need besides plenty of parking. Great acoustics in the hall.

Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking views of downtown Tampa. We went during the middle of night because we couldn’t sleep. Saw a couple of homeless in the park which police and security were ushering them out but other then the homeless this area is beautiful

Absolutely stunning walk! Very clean, friendly people and wonderful view. I feel very safe around the area, and it’s one of those places I could sit and stare at the water at for hours. If you’re staying at one of the hotels along it, it’s extremely convenient and a fun way to kill time at night. You can also see fish in the water!

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 14 years , rooms need to be upgraded . I do want to give a shout out to Thalia and Nestor. They were so kind and pleasant!

Nice walk. Beautiful weather. Wish there were more restrooms, as one of the facilities were out of order. Took me less than 2 hours to leisure walk back and forth. Restaurants are available along the stripe, and nice to gaze out into the water. People run, walk, and bike along, but it never felt crowded. Cool to sit, relax and people watch. I liked sitting on the fake lawn on the Adirondack chairs.

The arena has undergone name changes over the years but remains an iconic entertainment hub. With a seating capacity of 21,500, it has welcomed numerous musicians from different genres over the decades.
By far the best arena we’ve ever visited. Extremely quick Security, friendly staff, and also extremely serious about Security which in this age that’s an amazing thing. From lightning games to concerts, we have never had a bad time here. All of their sound technology and screens are very high-tech, and there is an amazing amount of food options inside the Arena itself.
Sophia — Google review
As usual, this arena has the ABSOLUTE MOST FRIENDLY & HELPFUL staffers, and they are EVERYWHERE! Their genuine kindness & their professionalism are unmatched- no concert venue I've ever visited has been so WONDERFUL. A+++ for whoever trains & monitors the staff that makes each event here so enjoyable. Last night it was The Lumineers & Chance Pena that brought us to our FAVORITE VENUE. We also entered quickly, & there's always a staffer at every entrance point to assist w/ scanning tickets if a need arises. Just INCREDIBLE service!
Nan — Google review
Enjoyed the arena, kids first time there and they loved it. Comfortable seating and great visibility throughout, even higher up 3rd level. We sat at the first level and were happy to move further back and in the angled seats to see better and sound was better than being up close. We did the free Maren Morris concert and it became open seating. No wait to get in but same crazy expensive food and drinks you’d expect, wasn’t happy I tried their signature cocktail for the night and there’s no price displayed but rang up over $20 for a small cup. Good range of options for food and drinks inside, nothing wild.
Caitlin F — Google review
Came here for the first time a month ago with my friend for opening night for the Lightning. I have to say, one of the best arena experiences I have ever had!! Not only were they so good at entertaining all throughout the game, but all of the staff were exceptionally genuine and helpful. Since it was my first time at a Lightning game, they gave me a special welcome gift at customer services. So much thought goes into what they do here! There’s also a great variety in food selection. Not sure if all of it’s open when they have concerts or other events here but it was impressive. My friends who have been here for concerts always have good things to say as well. One slight complication is the parking if you take your own car. But coming to any arena and a downtown area this is typical. There are some big parking garages nearby as well as a many paid parking lots and street parking if you get really lucky.
R L — Google review
What a great hockey experience! I've been to this arena a bunch of times. It's clean, easy to navigate, the staff is friendly. They have good food options. The Club areas are the best! Do you want to enjoy the games in their fullness eating, drinking, and socializing you must try upgrading your tix at least once! Just learned of the name change this last visit.
Brandon B — Google review
I saw Nine Inch Nails here on 9/10/25. And it was amazing! It was a really nice arena. It was huge! And the people that were working the show were really nice. I had a really amazing time at that concert. I'm really glad it was here at this arena. I was really impressed.

I love this arena. I have only been to the club seats. "Thank you Cool Today for the tickets" the food is fantastic. The bartenders are wonderful, and the drinks are made just right. I never knew i loved hocky until I came here.

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Embark on an unforgettable journey at The Florida Aquarium, nestled in the heart of downtown Tampa. This vibrant destination is a treasure trove for families and marine enthusiasts alike, offering a plethora of interactive experiences that cater to all ages. From thrilling encounters with sharks and playful penguins to hands-on stingray touch tanks, every corner of the aquarium invites exploration and wonder.
Our daughter received this visit as a birthday gift from her grandparents. And she was on cloud 9. The whole experience was just amazing. The new exhibit with the coral and the jelly fish to touch is a amazing experience. Employees were very friendly and experienced. Everything was well maintained and clean. Even the restroom was very clean with a cleaning lady and I give her 5 ⭐ for that, because everywhere we go there is cleaning personal for this 😔 so I'll say big thank you for having a cleaning person there to keep the toilets clean. The cafeteria was also clean and everyone knew what to do and food was amazing. Portion/ Price/ Taste was worth the dollar. The only thing I would say is one ⭐ is the price for a bottle of water 😞
Lucie P — Google review
This place is awesome! Easy to navigate, cool to look at, pretty educational if you take the time to read. It's also located on a port or something where cruise ships arrive and depart, which was neat to watch. All of the wildlife appears well taken care of, which is a huge plus. Tickets on a Saturday were pretty expensive, nearly $50 each, but if you think of it like a means to offer the care and attention for these animals, it's not so bad. The only real negatives, to me, were the gift shop (not much in the way of interesting merch for an adult), and the food. The food was abysmal. I paid almost $20 bucks for a burger that was unbelievably overcooked and dry, I couldn't even finish it even though I was starving. Good thing you don't go to an aquarium for the burgers! I still highly recommend visiting, it was a great experience. Just make sure you eat first and you'll be fine. Take your time to sit and observe the wildlife instead of trying to rush to the next thing. It really is something special.
Preston D — Google review
Such a beautiful aquarium! I loved all of the exhibits. They have cool enclosures for all of the birds and where the lemurs are at. The big tank had lots of cool fish and sharks! They also have an octopus which I thought was pretty cool. It was a fun experience and was not too crazy busy for a Saturday. Definitely glad they had the trolley that brought us right to it too, very convenient!
Traveling T — Google review
The aquarium was beautiful. So many fun fish to see. It was interactive and the employees are all very kind. I only wish there was more to see!! I love the outside area for the kids to run around and the adults to grab a drink. Our tickets also got us a discount on the warship right around the corner which was also an amazing experience. Highly recommend!
E J — Google review
Lovely experience visiting the aquarium. Fun thing to do if your visiting. It took us alittle less than 2hrs to get through it all. My kiddos are tweens so they were able to get through it quicker. We were disappointed in not being able to see penguins because of the repairs being done to their exhibit but we did confirm they do have them and that they supposedly bring them out a few times a day. I do think for the size of the aquarium tickets should have been a little less. Overall we enjoyed our visit.
Yvette B — Google review
The Florida Aquarium in Tampa completely exceeded my expectations! 🐠 From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by how beautifully everything is designed — it’s clean, spacious, and full of life. The exhibits are stunning, especially the coral reef tunnel and the huge ocean tank with sharks, rays, and sea turtles. What I loved most was how interactive it is — you can touch stingrays, watch playful otters, and see penguins up close. It’s not only fun but also very educational, with lots of information about marine conservation and Florida’s unique ecosystems. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers. Whether you spend an hour or half a day, it’s a peaceful and inspiring place to visit. Definitely one of Tampa’s top attractions!
Alex — Google review
The Florida Aquarium was a wicked awesome surprise. From the minute we walked in, it was wall-to-wall incredible exhibits and hands-on stuff that made you feel like a kid again. They’ve got interactive activities everywhere, so you’re not just staring at fish — you’re actually part of the whole experience. The shark tank? Bub… unreal. Those things glide by you like they own the ocean, and honestly, they kinda do. One of the coolest tanks I’ve ever seen, and I’ve looked at a lot of fish in my day. Everything was clean, the animals looked healthy, and the staff was as friendly as a Mainer handing you a whoopie pie at a potluck. You can tell they really care about the place. We had a wicked good time and would go back in a heartbeat. If you’re anywhere near Tampa, don’t be a chowderhead — go check it out. Totally worth it!
Brandon M — Google review
Bro. This aquarium is awesome. I live near the Baltimore aquarium and this aquarium blows the Baltimore aquarium out of the water. Very clean and super friendly staff. The only regret I have is that I was only able to spend one day here. If you go, please tell Saaba I said hi and give him a pet on the head for me. Also , i recommend putting a live camera in the cypress swamp pointing at the bottom of the stairs.

ZooTampa at Lowry Park, located in North Tampa, Florida, is a renowned zoo that offers an exciting and educational experience for visitors of all ages. The zoo provides opportunities for up-close encounters with a diverse range of animals from around the globe, including big cats, primates, reptiles, and birds. With its commitment to conservation and education, ZooTampa at Lowry Park aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats.
We LOVE this zoo! They have a lot of stuff to do for all ages! We have a two year old and he loves the carousel and the splash pad! We were finally able to do the safari thing and he also loved that. Everyone here is very nice and knowledgeable. They have a lot of different animals to look at and they are all well taken care of. My only complaint is to maybe put fans on the safari truck; it gets HOT on that thing.

I love animals and my husband, and I decided to pop in the zoo for a little day date! It wasn’t packed and we got to see lots of animals! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got some souvenirs from the gift shop and it wasn’t too overpriced. It’s about average. It would be a great place to go on a date or to take your children!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ZOO!!!!We came here during the week on a Wednesday in October during the day time and it was not crowded at all we had the time of our lives, i went up on to 6 or 7 different zoo keepers and asked tons of questions about the animals we were near and every single one of them answered my questions with ease and were super friendly. There was one zookeeper named Joe who was near the Orangutans and he was so knowledgeable and kind talked to for almost 15 minutes and knew every single question i had to ask. Plenty of water fountains and shady areas to cool off in. Safari Ride was a must! Devin was our guide on the ride .He was awesome very informative and super personable. There wasn’t a single question i asked that he could not answer with additional information on top of it. Every animal was active and visible but with the exception of one or two and if you go to lots of zoos you know that’s just apart of it but it was nice to see how the zoo made sure the animals could be comfortable and visible at the same time. Loved the Free Encounters they do with the Manatees and the Other Animals. We watched the one with the Orangutan and you HAVE to do this when you come!!You get to see them up close and have a great view and it’s a surreal experience being so close to them and we didn’t have to pay anything extra to do so.You also HAVE TO FEED THE LORIKEETS!!!! Since it was slow that day the Kind Lady who worked the Enclosure gave us a bit extra food when feeding since there was no one waiting behind us. It’s little things like that make It feel so personable and enjoyable. We also went thru the Dinosaur area And OH MY GOSH WAS IT SO COOL. They have life size dinosaurs you can get right up next too that are animatronic and so life like.Im an adult and felt like i was 10 years old again it was amazing! 10/10 Would recommend visiting here. I didn’t meet a single staff member who wasn’t friendly as can be and Also SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE.Food and drinks are widely avaible everywhere. We had A Pizzafor lunch in the africa area that tasted great! Overall 10/10 i got my moneys worth and can’t wait to come back!!!

What a fantastic zoo!! My family is in town visiting from out of state. We used our reciprocal zoo membership to visit. I told my husband about halfway thru the day that if we didn’t have our membership and had paid full price it would’ve still been worth visiting. The kids and us had a blast! The zoo was very clean, the exhibits seemed spacious and the animals seemed happy and well cared for. The rides throughout the park, water play area and playground were an unexpected added bonus! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

This zoo is awesome. I was visiting from Miami for a concert and decided to extend my trip to enjoy the zoo. It’s not as big as ZooMiami, but it makes up for it with a lot of heart and some great theming. I’m particularly fond of the Animal Kingdom style safari ride they have here. It’s great and super informative. The Africa and Florida sections are really good but the Australia section leaves a LOT to be desired. That being said, I highly recommend coming here either by yourself, as a couple, or as a family. It really is fun for all ages.

I have been to a few different cities Zoos but this is one of the better ones for sure. They got a great selection of animals and activities for all ages. They got a show on Disney + called Secrets of the Zoo: Tampa, if you want to check it out before going to ZooTampa. There are a ton of food options and different animal experiences as well. I would recommend signing up for the experiences in advance to make sure there is availability the day you want to go. They have added a dinosaur exhibit and they also do theme events during the holidays. If you live in the Tampa Bay Area, I would recommend buying the pay for the day pass because you can come back as much as you want for a year.

Was really looking forward to this visit at they claim its a top zoo. Its got a lot of unique activities, unfortuantely all of them seem to be closed or abandoned. The water slide was not running, and most of the booths and other quick service stands had no employees running them. Was hard to find anything to eat or drink The zoo was dead, as in it felt like a ghost town which in a way is nice because some animals were closer due to the low noise of bigger crowds it just felt very very. We tried to go into the African resteraunt and they said the kitchen was closed, the water slide in florida was not running, there were no handlers out to talk to us about the animals, no encounters, or really any sort of event other than the Halloween event which takes place after normal business hours. Very quiet but hard to find any events to do. Really like the australia area which had lots of play items for kids to burn energy out on while also getting see animals. Feels like an educational but fun place to visit, would really enjoy coming back still even with the setbacks experienced. Feels like a blend between a amusement park and zoo. Good value.

The hotel boasts elegant guest rooms and suites equipped with luxurious amenities such as whirlpool tubs, Keurig coffee machines, Bose speaker systems, and flat-screen televisions.
Great location.. rooms were big and so comfortable. We had a view of the pool. Very beautiful very, especially at night that blue and purple glow was setting a vibe for our room. Don't care for the heavy smoke smell in the lobby and casino area but once on the elevator.. that goes away. Pool area was also very nice!!

Great and large rooms. Shower big enough for 2 people with 2 shower heads and a bench. No tub. The bathroom has a separate space for the toilet with a shielded slided door for privacy. Only complaint was the coffee situation- no real creamer- only powdered and we didn't get it refilled when we asked. We also asked for towels and a room cleaning and never got it. The upper casino is extremely tight and the bottom one was tight but not as bad as the non-smoking section. Park in the Lucky parking lot if staying with lots of luggage. You'll be closer to the main entrance. You'll need to scan your room key to even get the room tower elevators. If you sign up for Unity- you get 50% off the buffet for one person. Buffet was decent. The Cafe was actually better. If you're signature status with Royal Caribbean you will be comped 3 nights and $300 room credit. Kids are allowed with adults but not on the casino floor (only along the pathways). Very fun to see history lining the hallways. We'll be back!

Nice place to hang out to kill time. They Definitely did a good job with the inside and the location of the establishment. I gave it 4 stars vs 5 because this place is very cheap with drinks and water. Be prepared to bring your own water or just don't stay too long. All drinking water faucet by bathroom doesn't work either or doesn't exist in certain restrooms. The staff told us to go to the bar for water but bar was closed so that didn't help. Only have a few servers bringing drinks around and we couldn't catch one after a few hours so we left because of thirst.

I visit and have fun for the past couple of years! Jayden at the rise and shine coffee is the best and makes our coffee perfect! One person in particular makes me so upset. Destiny. Not friendly, very rude and always has an attitude. I won't let her make my drink and has very poor people skills. Dana the bartender at the floor stands is also fantastic, always smiling and friendly.

After finally having a free day off, the wife and I decided to venture and have a go at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino - Tampa. Having moved to the Tampa Bay area recently, the travel from Lutz to the Tampa Hard Rock was short relative to our previous casino trips. My outlook on the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino franchise completely changed (for the better) after this visit. Hopefully this review will give some reasons why. As an MGM member and one who dabbles in casinos, my profiling of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino grouped the franchise along with the likes of the Caesars, Tropicana, Showboat, Ballys - in other words, casinos that are old and outdated. My ignorance in this regard also stemmed from the few quick stops at the Hard Rocks in Malta and Atlantic City, only to eat on both occasions. Again, my whole view of the Hard Rock franchise completely changed after this visit to the Tampa location. Travel and parking. Located just south of New Tampa and Temple Terrace, the Seminole Hard Rock - Tampa sits conveniently off of the I-4; while not the best of highways, it is arguably the quickest way to get to the venue. As you drive in, there are essentially three parking decks to choose from - Winner's Way and Lucky Street are the two main ones meant for resort visitors, while Orient Road and Draper Place puts you closer with respect to the actual hotel rooms. Either way, there is more than enough safe parking spaces with ease of access to the casino floor. The first thing that stands out is that smoking is permitted on the venue. While most casinos still allow smoking on their premises, it doesn't tend to be a problem. With Hard Rock Tampa - it seems a bit more noticeable. This may be a game changer for some. However, if you want some what of the casino experience without the smoking, they have a designated smoke-free area on the second floor. The casino floor is rather sizeable (larger than Parx Casino in Pennsylvania and can be compared to the Borgata in Atlantic City). The slot machine areas appear to be arranged and organized better than most casinos where other casinos seem like an elaborate maze. Navigating the floor here is easy and not as frustrating. Between the slot areas are a variety of tables. Overall, the casino floor is well maintained, neat, and clean. Meanwhile, the areas and functionality thereof around the casino floor are beautiful. There are a set of marvelous curving escalators that connect the second floor to the first, putting you right by the hotel-check in desk. There are distinguishable arcs that cast over the hall access to the hotel's East and West towers respectively, which offers a sense of elegance and class. If you are an avid casino player, you'll want to sign up at the Player's Club. The Hard Rock's rewards program is called Unity. Like the MGM, there is an app for this. The Hard Rock will also tier-match with MGM if you have the program. The ladies working the Player's Club were great and thorough. They explained the benefits and perks of the Unity program, along with giving us a brief introduction to the hotel and casino itself. The unique thing about the Unity rewards program compared to the MGM is that it applies to all Hard Rock franchise locations, which has a greater international reach compared to the mainly U.S.-based MGM. There is not much for kids - unless of course you are staying at the hotel, in which case there are amenities such as the pool. However, like most other casino resorts, there is not much for kids to do here (the Sugar Factory is more of a restaurant than a candy story itself), while the retail stores are catered toward the adult demographic. It was a fun experience overall, and we are definitely going to venture here a bit more often. I would highly recommend the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa for any casino player and as a resort hotel in general.

honestly I have tried to like this casino. playing slots its fun. If I tell you no one seems to win anything. All the people around me just losing money left and right upset and complaining. This casino used to pay out better years before the renovation. it is pretty big. Don't go with the expectation to win. Just go for the fun that way you MIGHT not leave disappointed. win the late evening hours the crowd becomes a bit sketchy so be careful in the parking lots and driving around surrounding area at night. Maybe one day I will go and actually win something lol...or maybe just save my money and do something else thats rewarding lol...

Went to watch a comedy show. The show room is average and the chairs are amateurish. Kind of like a school or conference room rather than event style. Hope they decide to upgrade the room and seating. They have upgraded the events and acts that come in which is great! Nice hotel and Casino with good food options. Parking was easy and safe.

We came on a company trip. The most important part to me is being able to eat. I have a severe soy allergy which includes soy lecithin, which is in almost all foods. I was able to eat at the buffet. I would like to give a special shout out to JOSE he checked a lot of items for me. I was pretty sure I could have some of the food items, but he took the time to make sure that I could. Gambling is easy, making sure a hotel is clean as easy, but making sure your guests are taking care of is the hard part and Jose and the managers were on point with help.

The Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks offer a unique experience where visitors can explore the historic sponge industry, dine at authentic Greek restaurants, and shop for handmade soaps and sponges. The docks have been in operation for over 135 years and are lined with creaking sponge boats along the Anclote River canal. Visitors can stroll along Dodecanese Boulevard, where they'll find a mix of souvenir shops and Greek eateries bustling with crowds.
We visited Tarpon Springs and the Sponge Docks on a weekday after a business appointment. It is a beautiful, Greek atmosphere, town, which offers a great selection of shopping and food options. The restaurants are all in walking distance from several parking areas. Parking is priced fairly, most of the offers are for all day parking. We paid $8 for the day, which I consider very reasonable. We stopped by several of the stores and looked into sponge and soap stores. We also ate dinner at one of the restaurants. If you are in the area, Tarpon Springs needs to be on your schedule. My personal score is a 4.7.

This was the cutest and the most interesting place. Greek town. I could have spent all day looking at the boats in the harbor and all of the shops had the most creative things in the them. Homemade soap with sponges in them. It was such a creative and welcoming town. Great place to walk around. All of the Greek food was an adventure for sure, but delicious.

I loved walking around and looking through each of the stores. Such a beautiful town by the docks. Bought candy of course and these wonderful spices to try when I get back home. The Greek restaurants are abundant and I didn't have room to try any, we had breakfast before going here... darn it! Because I love authentic Greek food, yum!

Such a pleasant place! It has a nice variety of local shops and plenty of options to enjoy a meal or a drink. Since it was a rainy day, there weren’t many people around, which actually made it even better — we got to enjoy everything more comfortably and didn’t have to wait to get into any spot!

One of the best places in Tampa to visit. Lots of local shops, great deals and restaurants. Most of shops are selling famous sponges, sea shells, clothing, potteries, local food, teas, herbs, flowers and so much more. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, so make sure you’re bringing your wallet and credit cards with you to buy souvenirs from the stores. Come early so you can see all the local shops and booths.

I loved my experience here. Most of the shops have the same stuff in it but it the feel of the area that I believe is why people visit here. The 2 hour dolphin tour is great!

I was unaware that Tarpon Springs is a Greek town. It features a plethora of local Greek shops, restaurants, bakeries, and cafes. I really enjoyed my visit, taking a pleasant stroll through the town and hopping from shop to shop to find some sponges and handmade Greek olive oil bar soaps.

It is a very pleasant place to visit. You will enjoy every minute you spend there until you realized that time is not the only thing you spent. Right after you left you will start questioning your financial decisions. Expensive has different meaning, maybe even new meaning at Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks.

My Boyfriend and I went to Tarpon Springs for the very first time last weekend (10/18/2025). My dad suggested we go as we live in Lakeland and there really isn't much to do in this city. We were absolutely so happy that we went. From the downtown area, to the Springs and up to the Sponge Docks, we fell in love with Tarpon Springs. We went to the very first parking lot on Dodecanese Blvd. and we were about to pay the $12 parking fee for the day until one of the meter maid's walked up to us, informing how much it was and offered us about a boat tour. We agreed as it included free parking. Albeit, we were surprised by the boat tour price for us both (at least $57 for my boyfriend and I), but we walked into the main shop, got our boarding passes, a gift bag, a food voucher for 10% off at Acropolis Greek Taverna. And we got a 10% coupon within the store. I bought 2 wooly sponges for my dad a long with the care instructions they provide. Once we looked around the small town and passed the time, we went on our boat tour down the Anclote River up to Anclote Key Reserve State Park. They did not disappoint with seeing dolphins, learning about Tarpon Springs as the Sponge Capital of the world and enjoying the beauty of the waters. Once we got to Anclote Key, they offered some baskets to collect your shells if you chose too and enjoy the Crystal clear waters under the Florida sun. By far, the best day ever with my boyfriend. The experience as a whole was magical! Far more magical than any amusement park in Orlando. For me, it was worth the money, the pricing, and the experience. It is their lively hood, so yeah, it may seem pricey to some. But I'd rather buy from Sponge-o-Rama and know that I am shopping locally than on Amazon.

Worth a stop while visiting the sponge docks.. the video is old but informative on the sponge trade and history. The store has decent prices on sponges and soap as well.

Nice selection of sponges and soaps. Offered 10% off coupons by quite a few people. Currently (March 2025) the sponge diver helmet photo is in storage (pictures in review). Looks like a recent remodel/ expansion has left the photo opportunity in storage. Hopefully, just temporary and can continue the 40 year tradition next time.

My go to no frills shop in Tarpon Springs to purchase sponges from. I found them to have the best selection and pricing within the Tarpon Springs tourist area. Now, don't plan on coming in there to cool off as it's a place more designed to meet your sponge needs. The staff is pretty helpful and friendly.

Loved the educated movie on the history of Tarpon Springs. Love this unique/Greek community in Florida! It's a MUST SEE, TO DO visit!
Michele G — Google review
Was tickled when visiting the area to purchase a soap and sponge combo for my daughter and myself. I didn't realize till after we had tried to use our products that they stuck the sponge into the soap while the soap was still warm making an impossible to remove the sponge without totally damaging it. We were able to get the sponge off the second one after soaking it for a long time losing a lot of our soap and then using a knife to cut the soap to save the sponge. What a waste of money so sad

I have been coming here for 40+ years. Whenever company came to town, my parent's took them to Pappas Restaurant and then a nice tour on the river, and then to look at the vintage sponge exchange. When I was a child I loved the museum and 1950's movie about life here. The same movie is still playing today. The Sponge-O-Rama was hit from the hurricanes last year, and need donations. I will always keep this treasure in my heart!!! What a great Greek community!!

We had such a great time at Busch Gardens Tampa! The park was super quiet when we visited, which made the experience even better - we were able to go on all the rides multiple times without waiting in long lines. It felt like we had the park almost to ourselves. The highlight of the day was definitely the newest coaster, Iron Gwazi. It’s an absolute must-ride - fast, smooth, and full of thrills from start to finish. We couldn’t get enough of it and rode it several times! Overall, the park was clean, well-run, and offered a perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. If you get the chance to visit on a quieter day, you’re in for an unforgettable experience.

A great place for families, with plenty of entertainment options even for very young children, and many places to eat. I recommend getting a pass; the annual pass is very convenient. The integration of the animals and their habitats within the park is incredible. It's all one cohesive whole, and the animals are truly thriving and are treated very, very well.

Oct 2025 We visited busch gardens while holidaying in Orlando for 2 weeks ..It's been 6 years since we last visited, so were very much looking forward to it and the weather was also a lot better than last time...We used the free transport service supplied from SeaWorld Orlando👍. As it was free can't complain .we did have a couple of pic ups on the way , which slowed the journey a bit..We arrived there about 45mins after park open ...The main thing I liked was the coach didn't leave till after park closed , so we were able to make a good full day of it ... Only 2 rides were not operational on the day , cobras curse and the log flume which is now permanently close ...The main attraction for us was going to be iron gwasi ..!!🫣 They hadn't finished it on our last visit,so was very much looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint..The ride is mental from start to finish , Awesome..😁 Apart from a couple of new additions to the park, everything was exactly the same . Although it was a Tuesday and the park was quiet..we didn't have time to check out the animal parts ..But everything else we managed to do more than once...We did have the all day dine , which was ok..kids got more from it than mum and dad did..Food was ok ..Only down side was I couldn't find open and closing times for restaurants on the app (same as SeaWorld)..so a restaurant I did fancy was closed 1 hour before park closed ..Which was disappointing...Overal we had a great day and would return again if we came back to Florida 👍👍

I had a blast at Howl o scream!!! I went to all the haunted houses and loved them. There was also a live show that I caught a part of. Lots of drinks and refreshments available, ample restroom access, and I only waited in line for quite a while for 2 of 5 haunted houses, which was fine because its not like I had someplace to be lol. Overall really enjoyed the scare zones in between the haunted houses and will go again.

Busch Gardens Tampa is absolutely amazing! The experience was incredible I managed to ride almost every attraction in a single day, and each one was thrilling in its own way. I totally recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

I'm writing this review after just leaving Busch Gardens in Tampa. I didn't want to wait since it is still fresh on my mind. For the short version, WOW! The Holw-O- Scream was done awesome. I would like to say I haven't visited Busch Gardens since I was real little and I didn't remember it being anything like this. Every single ride we rode was absolutely amazing. And they all felt completely unique. The twist and turns are insane! I highly recommend this event and this park. I didn't do any research prior to attending so I really didn't know what to expect. I am glad I came. I am truly blown away. Unfortunately I didn't get to ride everything but I will be back! Great job Busch Gardens! I will definitely make a vlog about my experience. Keep up the great work!

Hard to rate. Good start with getting a quick parking place and getting a nice ride to the entrance. Tickets also got quick an easy, for my taste is the regular price quied too high. We were lucky and got black Friday tickets, but also this ones too high. Rides are fine in the park, the Zoo is for my taste to old school and not state of the art. Fore every single service like animals food some rides you have to pay. It feels very commercial and not fair espescialy with the current ticket price. I understand tickets for animal visits but not for the safari However some people like Mathew who made the tortoise tour with us are very great.

Anclote River Park, nestled along the scenic Anclote River in Tarpon Springs, offers a delightful riverside escape for nature enthusiasts and outdoor lovers. This 31-acre park boasts stunning river views, designated fishing spots, and an array of recreational facilities. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along walking trails, relax at picnic areas with pavilions, or launch their boats into the calm waters.
This is one of my favorite parks in this area. The beach is nice and quiet. It has a boat ramp as well. There is shade and benches. There are restrooms, changing rooms and plants of parking. Just outside the park along the bike path to the north is an eagles' nest. You can get quite close and observe the eagles and their babies. There are usually some photographers and bird enthusiasts there.

Perfect spot for a relaxing ladies’ day! The water was crystal clear with beautiful turquoise hues—so refreshing 🌊☀️. We loved playing cards and catching some shade under the pavilion 🃏⛱️. The boat ramp was busy but well-kept 🚤, and it was great to see the playground 🛝 and historic Indian mound nearby 🏞️. Restrooms were super clean and even had changing rooms—huge plus! 🧼🚻 Peaceful, pretty, and perfect for a beach day 🌴

We have visited many of the beaches and dog parks in the Tampa area. This is by far our favorite place to start or end the day with a dog walk. Beautiful sunsets, not over crowded, clean, working restrooms, and we have seen a few dolphins here. Thank you to all who manage this property.

I visit this park every time I visit my sister in Holiday florida. I love this place! It's beautiful and it's quiet. For me it's just the right amount of beach. 2 years ago I saw two dolphins in this swim area!

We enjoy Anclote River Park from time to time. No user fees, lots of parking, nice drive to get there, at least the latter part of the drive once you leave US19, and decent beach and swimming. So, obviously it’s not Clearwater or Belaire, but sandy beach all the same. If you keep your eyes on the water, and are there for the day, you are likely to see a pod of dolphins go by. It is nice even watching the pelicans glide along the water. So if you are looking for a low key, peaceful outing this might be your spot.

This charming park is free to visit and sits right along the water, with birds and squirrels adding to the lively atmosphere. It features a fenced-off swimming area and a well-maintained public bathroom. A paid boat ramp is also available. The county has done an excellent job keeping this park clean, safe, and beautifully maintained.

Nestled at the Sponge Docks' west end, the Tarpon Springs Aquarium and Animal Sanctuary offers an engaging experience for families and animal lovers alike. This charming facility showcases around 30 species of fish alongside fascinating reptiles like eels, snakes, alligators, and sharks. Visitors can enjoy interactive moments during narrated feedings where they might even touch some of these incredible creatures.
I'd give more stars if I could! My 2 teenage sons and I visited today and had a great time here. This place is just fantastic! . There is so much to see here, the shows are fantastic and very informative. We were lucky enough to hold a small alligator and feed sharks, turtles and goats. The staff are all super friendly and it has a great atmosphere too. There are so many different animals to see and touch. We all had a very enjoyable time and will be back again soon. I would highly recommend a visit here, and the other 5 star reviews are well deserved.

Such an amazing experience. All the staff was super nice. My 3 young kids got to not only interact with nearly every animal but they got a chance to hold a snake, an alligator, feed sharks, feed stingrays, turtles, and so much more. Prices were extremely reasonable compared to major places. I will definitely be coming back. Well worth it even if you have to drive 2 hours. Just go and you won't regret it.
Glenn S — Google review
We didn't even know this existed, but enjoyed it tremendously. It is a small, hands-on aquarium with lots of other animals too. It is smaller than most aquariums, but it was great for the price and not over crowded. They have 2 large aquariums with various fish and sharks. They do shows at different times with a diver in the tank and highlight the various animals. They have touch tanks. Our favorite was the stingrays. They also have a bunch of farm animals as well. You can purchase food to feed the various animals.

This is a great place to bring young kids. I came with my 3yr and 5yr old. They loved it. The hourly shows are cool. We stayed for the scuba and the gator show. Very entertaining. Also don’t miss the chance to feed the different animals. The baby sharks were our fav to feed. It’s a nice local spot.
Francis W — Google review
Decided to check it out due to the awesome reviews and it was definitely worth it! We've been to several bigger Aquariums and this one is a more unique, less crowded and personal experience. A family run operation with lots of volunteers all the animals looked extremely well taken care of. Some of the high points: ⭐ Touch tanks with no wait. We came at 11am and if you bought the feeding tickets the sting rays took it right out of your hand! ⭐ We saw two live shows and got to touch several other animals, even got to hold a baby alligator 🐊 We've been to Alligator Farm in St Augustine and they charge like $40 to hold and have your picture with a baby alligator. ⭐ Got to pet the farm animals and walk among the chickens/rooster/duck/turkeys you can go in and pet even without feeding them for this part. ⭐ A big tortoise chilling and walking around the park also was allowed to be "pet". ⭐ Got to see the reptiles get fed around 11:30am in their shaded corridor. ⭐ It looks like they will let you bring in a lunch box and sit at picnic tables to eat, there's also a snack shack right there. ⭐ Not one rude or unhappy staff person even though it was 95 degrees and there were some screaming little ones. Impressive! We tag teamed it with the free splash pad around the corner and there's several drive thru's on 19 thereafter. A fun day trip and supporting a family run aquarium and animal sanctuary. Buy tickets at the desk for -20% FL residents discount.

Had a great time today. From the fun of feeding the alligators, holding 1, seeing the baby gators, the crocodiles, feeding sharks.... all the creatures were so very lively and active. The staff has such amazing energy and really include the audience in their presentations. If you can only make it to 1 aquarium in the area I highly suggest giving this your time and attention. Thank you for all you do
Ben T — Google review
This place is a lot bigger than I thought. We took plenty of pictures. The staff was very friendly. They have fans & water so if you get hot. Lot of it's covered so no direct sun. Adding a few pictures to give you an idea of what they have. They have shows in each section at different times. Price is reasonable especially if you get the annual pass. You can also purchase tickets to feed the fish as animals.
Daniel — Google review
Parking lot is dirt and full of holes so deep you have to drive around them. Staff is vary friendly and helpful. Not a vary big place but what they have is vary cool I got to hold a baby alligator and the shows are good to. Little pricey I thought for what they have and the time you actually spend there.

This sizable tract of public land offers opportunities for camping, nature viewing, fishing & more.
This nature preserve is huge! There is alot of paths to explore, lots of forest to go through, you can rent cabins, and occasionally you may stuble upon a deer. Its also great for bird watching, and the bike/skate trail is very long, and the road is very smooth. Dogs are also allowed.

A wonderful wilderness preserve in Pasco county. Free entry and plenty of parking throughout the park. There are picnic pavilions that you can reserve, beautiful hiking trails, a lovely multi-use paved trail that runs through the park and takes you out to the Suncoast Trail. There are 19 miles of single track mountain bike trails maintained by volunteers. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I just moved here from South Florida and read reviews on this park. In the very beginning you’ll find mountain bike trails. Nothing aggressive. Beginner friendly. I rode all the dirt trails and didn’t see not one other rider on these trails. It was a very nice ride. Not many roots. And here’s my only issue with this park. These trails lacked directional signs and several spots where I was hoping I was riding in the right direction. Trail took be as a whole about 30 minutes. There were also a few trees that had fallen on the trails that needed to be picked up. Once I ended that ride I stick to straight pavement. It’s very wide and smooth. I was riding around noon and saw about 60% e bikers. Many elderly riders. Great views, lots of trees, trail was clear and clean of any debris. I only rode about 10 miles. There is a rest area with a rest room. There’s also water at a couple of locations so you could refill and take a rest or snack break in the shade. I spoke with a few locals there. Apparently at the end of the trail you can make a right and ride about 40 more miles or go left and do 60 miles. I was stunned!!! This park is higa and amazing. Very beautiful and very light flow of people. I would of given it 5 stars if the mountain bike trails were maintained a bit more.

Absolutely the best park in Tampa bay area. Very large supports an abundance of wildlife. Miles and miles of biking trails, paved and unsaved. Hiking is also great here, take off on one of several trails and the views are amazing. Onsite camping is available along with multiple shelters to use for a picnic or birthday party.

The layout is clean, easy to navigate, and the outdoor setting makes for a pleasant shopping experience. Plenty of seating areas, clean restrooms, and a good selection of food options add to the convenience. We found great deals at several stores, and the staff throughout were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy, and the entire area felt safe and well-maintained. If you’re in the Tampa area and love a good bargain, this outlet mall is a must-visit!

This is a nice mall, there’s so many options to shop, a lot of options for mall food and they have plenty of parking. When talking about prices I am a little disappointed as their prices aren’t really like an outlet price, it’s more like regular stores to be honest, so if you’re going with the expectation to be cheaper than regular stores don’t even try, but if you just want to spend some time shopping around like a regular outdoor mall you won’t be disappointed. They also have an Electrify America so if you have an EV you can charge your car there as well.

Hillsborough River State Park

State park
Nature & Parks
Hillsborough River State Park, one of Florida's oldest state parks, has been a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts since 1938. Visitors can enjoy various water activities such as fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the park's pool. The park also offers interactive history lessons about the indigenous people who fought against invaders for their land. Nature lovers can explore a seven-mile nature trail with diverse plant and flower species.
Unfortunately, some of the trails were "temporarily" closed, but I enjoyed my visit here nonetheless. Trails have plenty of canopy helping to protect from the brutal Florida sun. The suspension bridge was a beautiful sight to see. The next trip here will likely include kayak rental to explore the park from the river. It's definitely worth a visit. I recommend hiking shoes vice sneakers. Depending on the season, I suggest an early arrival to beat the heat.
Berlin 1 — Google review
This is a really nice park. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to visit it. The campground was clean with nice facilities. Laundry, dish washing sink, clean showers, vending machine for laundry soaps, electric and water hook ups. The sites are close together but each one is spacious. There are lots of nice trails to hike and walk along the river. The only downsides really were that 2 of the main trails were still closed from the hurricanes. Seems like it's been long enough that they would have them reopened by now. The two trails on the south side of the park, which could be connected by walk into a neighboring park to form a nice 6 mile loop, were opened. However, the connecting park and the adjoining road to it is also closed. So you end up doing two out and back hikes instead and never actually make it to the river. You can walk along the river in the north part of the park, but this is more of an easy public walking trail and it's not very long. Also they have a little store and you can rent kayaks and canoes, but unfortunately, not on Tuesday or Wednesday, as they are closed these days. Which seemed odd but I guess they are cutting costs and those are likely their slowest days(which is exactly why it a better to go on these days, but I guess the trade off is you won't be able to rent a canoe or kayak). So just a few minor issues but overall a beautiful park. Hopefully the trails will open up soon.

Beautiful park. One bridge along with a restroom and half of the playground but still very enjoyable. Love walking hikes along the river!
Fe E — Google review
I had an amazing time visiting Hillsborough River State Park. The entire experience was refreshing and full of natural beauty. The trails were well-maintained and perfect for hiking, with just the right mix of challenge and ease. Walking through the park felt like stepping into another world, surrounded by tall trees, winding river paths, and the peaceful sounds of nature. The people we met along the way were incredibly kind and friendly. Everyone, from fellow hikers to park staff, had smiles on their faces and were always willing to help or say a warm hello. It made the whole atmosphere feel safe and welcoming. I went with Sunny, and we both had a great time exploring the park together. We saw so many interesting animals, birds, and even a few turtles near the water. It’s a perfect place for nature lovers or anyone who just wants to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The signboards were clear and helpful, and everything was very well organized. From the parking to the restrooms to the picnic spots, it felt like the park was designed with care and thought for visitors. Even though I’m usually in Noida, this park in Florida gave me an experience I won’t forget. It’s a beautiful spot with so much to offer, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re hiking, taking pictures, or just relaxing under the trees, Hillsborough River State Park is truly worth the visit.
Safdar N — Google review
I went for hiking on 09/14/25. As of then, both Baynard and Seminole trails are still not in use due to hurricane Milton from picture 2024. The bathrooms by the former pool are unusable, and taped off with caution tape. Both playgrounds have elements blocked with caution tape. I have grown up in this park: camping, hiking, birthday parties, etc. This is not the fault of the rangers, they are doing their best; but it's sad too see so much not in use nearly a year later. Hiking on the River Rapids trail was lovely though. This park is a piece of authentic old Florida and I hope it comes back fully.
Nic T — Google review
Was a beautiful and relaxing place to hike and get some fresh air. Our dogs enjoyed walking the trails with us and the river was beautiful even saw a little gator and of course many birds. A ranger was even kind enough to lead us to the right area and give us a mini tour and interesting history lesson on the land and indigenous tribes that called this area home. He even shared a tip for a hidden gem along the path that we were happy to find. Would def be back with probably a pack lunch to enjoy 😉

BEAUTIFUL trails at this park!!!! There was so much to stop and admire, like the rapids, the suspension bridge, the wonky trees, etc. My only complaint is that the trails could’ve been marked more clearly. I appreciated the gator sighting!!!

Robert J. Strickland Memorial Park

Memorial park
Nature & Parks
6-acre park with a swimming area, picnic shelters & a playground, plus fishing access & a boat ramp.
A nice recreational park located on the very tip of Skeleton Key. Plenty of opportunity to rest and relax. I liked there, with its miles of tables, shelters and... a rocking bench. In addition, there is a barbecue available, and views of the sunset. I recommend this park for a siesta and rest.
Rich K — Google review
This park is beautiful, and it's well set up for family outings, picnics, parties, and the like; there are multiple gazebos and grills set up with plenty of benches and tables. The setting is absolutely beautiful. If you don't want to do the work of grilling, there's a fantastic bar/restaurant with an EXCELLENT reputation for serving the best seafood, sandwiches, and drinks. The reason I'm giving inly 4 stars is because this park is listed in Google as a "dog park." Now, technically, I suppose it could be considered as such since dogs ARE allowed on 1 side of the park - they're not allowed on the beach side, which is understandable, but are allowed on the side with the sidewalks. However, there's no place for dogs to play, no place they can go into the water for a swim, and the walking "trail" (the sidewalk) isn't long, it took less than 10 minutes to make the entire circuit, and we were walking slow... Still, it's a pretty spot with boat launches, picnic areas, and a lot of parking, though there does need to be more.

Such a beautiful site to see the Sunset on a boat ride. We were just testing out our boat to get it ready for the upcoming season. Checking out the motor, lights, fuel filter, oil etc. As we were out in the Gulf of Mexico by Hudson Beach our boat broke down. We did manage to get our guest and boat back home safely. So glad we weren't far from home. But the sunset at Hudson Beach was breathtaking as usual.

This is a fun area to walkabout, catch a sunset or sit for a bit to enjoy the Gulf views and breezes. People are friendly.  This park has a happy vibe 😃 The park is split by Sam's Beach Bar. The beach is on the north side. It's small but does have a sandy area. There are several pavilions with lots of picnic tables and grills. One pavilion is two story offering a 360° view of the area. There's also a small playground for little kids and public restrooms 🚻, right next to Sam's, on the north side. Signs posted say dogs (and fishing) aren't allowed on the beach, or generally the north side of the park. Fishing is allowed on the south side. I didn't notice any "no dogs" signs at the south side of the park. A number of leashed dogs were loafing about there. There's a public boat ramp and another restroom on your left as you enter the park.  $10 to park/launch a boat. Pay station is next to the restrooms.
JustHavinFun — Google review
I have visited this park for 10 years since it is only about 10 minute drive for me. There is a small playground, a tiny hand-made sandy beach, huge 2 story gazebo with an awesome view, picnic tables and a bunch of restaurants around the park. Sunset time is very popular and parking is never guaranteed especially in the summer time.

Great Coaches, Poor Facilities The resort was very disappointing. While I understand that the rooms are older, the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, and any concerns I raised were completely disregarded by the staff. That said, I want to highlight how excellent Coach Warren and Coach Ed were. They went out of their way to accommodate me, and I saw real improvement in my tennis skills thanks to their coaching.

I was very disappointed in the adult tennis camp. I signed up for a full day on Saturday nice weather in Feburday, camp was sparsely attended. I was told I was the only one . Therefore they could only offer me a half day. The pro did a lot of talking not much hitting. His instruction was on doubles strategy, that was more like taking a geometry class, nothing useful for 4.0 club doubles. The courts were not well maintained , I had previously went to Saddlebrook adult tennis camp about 10 yrs ago it was much better , sure has changed, I will not be returning.

I loved the place sooooo pretty. I also went there for the tournament, and there was a very nice staff. They also recommended a lot of tennis for me. Care about you and say you must be at least 13 to attend boarding school. It is a very nice restaurant with tennis courts and a pool. They have lots of good players, too. Best tennis academy in the U.S. (my opinion). Waaay better then IMG and emilo sanchez. a very nice coach was sean mquillan.

Went for a Bachelor party. It was great! We had an instructor (Spencer) who helped us have a great time. We shot sporting clay so they were in different directions and places. It was fun.

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite places to spend a day date with my kids. The gun range is always a good time, but clay shooting takes it to another level—it’s exciting, challenging, and so much fun. Every round keeps you on your toes! We also tried the archery, which was a blast and gave us something different to enjoy together. It’s the perfect mix of outdoor adventure and family bonding. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and being surrounded by nature just makes the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys shooting sports and the outdoors. Already looking forward to our next family day here!

I'm a newbie, and I've only tried one beginner course, but I was really impressed. The staff was really helpful with this beginner. I tried sporting clays for the first time, and the "green" beginner course was lots of fun! They have a bunch more courses of increasing difficulties and also skeet. Highly recommend this place.

Nice spot out in the woods with plenty of room to shoot. Getting around is easy if you grab a cart and the wait usually isn’t long even without a reservation. The staff is friendly and they help out if you are new, which makes it comfortable for beginners. They also have archery, which was a fun surprise.

Love the place. We went as a family, (my wife, son, uncle, brother and daughter in law. And I hate to admit it but my daughter in law beat us all. So if I need back up. I know who I'm getting. Everything is there. If you bring your own great. If you rent they have a great selection we have not had any issues with rentals. It's Florida and the course is pretty big. Definitely get the golf cart. But if you want to walk. There are water bottle stations around so now one will succumb to the sun. We had no issues on any stations. Staff are friendly and everything is reasonable. No regrets and would keep coming. Go comfortable. It's all outdoors. And absolutely lovely.

My dad took me here for my first time to fire a shotgun and it was the best experience ive ever had at a range. We had an amazing instructor scott who taught us the correct position of holding the shotgun and how to move with the shotgun when firing at clays. If you listen and do what he tells you I guarantee you will have no problem hitting the clays on your first time out. That nervous feeling went away very fast working with Scott. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had as far as prices and their rules and safety. Thank you, my dad and I had a great time and we will be back.

Experiencing my first skydive was an absolutely fantastic adventure. The thrill of freefall was exhilarating, and the views from above were breathtaking. Adam, my pilot, was incredibly skilled and made the entire journey feel safe and smooth. The videographer, Matt, captured every memorable moment with impressive clarity. It's an experience I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a good time.

I had SUCH an incredible time at Skydive City for my first skydiving experience! Zephyrhills is my hometown and this experience was long overdue. I went with my sister and did a tandem jump. Everyone was super friendly and relaxed, I had no nerves during the entire process and felt comfortable and confident. I did my jump with Adam who was engaging and funny, I enjoyed going through the process with him! I absolutely love this sort of rush and would DEFINITELY go again. Huge thanks to everyone who made this happen! Special thanks to Adam, Blake, and Tim - who took wonderful photos of the process, also the girls who worked the front desk were great too!

I spent my 30th birthday at Skydive City and my experience was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel safe and comfortable from start to finish. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and knowledgeable. The woman who checked me in was so kind and helpful. My instructor Dave was patient, professional, and incredible to jump with. Im really happy I got to jump with him. Christi, my photographer, captured every moment perfectly that I’ll cherish forever plus she was amazing and full of great energy. Shoutout to Hank and Staub (“like Staub my toe”) for keeping us laughing the whole time! The whole crew is Hilarious by the way! I would 1000% recommend Skydive City to anyone considering Skydiving. I would absolutely Skydive again but it has to be with Skydive city.

A huge shoutout to my instructor Blake, who was absolutely incredible calm, clear, reassuring, and honestly the reason I felt confident enough to jump. His energy, patience, and expertise made the entire experience feel both safe and ridiculously fun. Couldn’t have asked for a better person to trust at 13,500 feet! And my photographer Kristy… WOW. She captured every moment so beautifully every smile, every scream, every second of pure adrenaline and joy. The photos and videos are unreal. I’ll be reliving this birthday forever thanks to her! Skydive City, you made my birthday one for the books. If you’re thinking about skydiving do it, and definitely do it here. I’ll be back

First time skydiving today! It was so scary but so fun! Everyone there seems very comfortable and confident. My brain cells shut down the moment I arrived, so I’m thankful Matt was such a great instructor. Ben was my videographer, and to be honest, it was just nice having two confident people to fall out of the sky with! I’m excited to go back one day and fully enjoy it without the same level of fear. I definitely recommend it, if you’re afraid, just do it afraid.

Sights & Landmarks
Sweetfields Farm in Spring Hill, FL is a delightful destination for both kids and adults. Visitors can wander through the rows of fresh organic produce and flowers, with the opportunity to pick various crops depending on the season. The farm offers a range of activities including sunflower and pumpkin seasons, hayrides, corn mazes, treehouses, pedal cars, and more. Guests can also enjoy wood-fired pizza and wine tasting while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
It's a great place to visit. We went to the sunflower festival and the flowers were beautiful. They have other flowers as well. There's a maze cut in the sunflowers. There are pigs, goats, cows you can pet, chickens, donkeys, turkeys, and fun things for kids. There's a hay ride around the farm, play areas for the kids, drinks, and snacks, too!!! I'm looking forward to the fall festival and the maze cut into the corn field as well!!! And the people who work there are great, friendly and helpful!!!

We went to Sweet Fields Farm for the pumpkin patch. It was about a 40-minute drive away, and when we arrived, we saw the parking lot was almost full, indicating that it's a popular destination. The farm's entry fee was $14 per person, and the pumpkin patch was beautifully decorated, offering great photo opportunities. Beyond the Pumpkin Patch, Farm offers other activities for children to enjoy. These include interacting with various animals, participating in a hayride for a tour of the farm, and more. The farm also offers freshly made apple cider vinegar, which is perfect to try. On our visit, there were also chicken and pizza food trucks for lunch, making it easy to enjoy a meal while exploring the farm. We enjoyed our visit to Sweetfields farm, as it offered a variety of activities that the children particularly enjoyed.

We had a great day at the fall fest. The farm is so pretty, the food was good, the animals were taken care of. The workers were so nice and seem to love their job. We'll definitely come back. Thank you for a fun day :)

My family visited during their Monday hours. Parking was included follow the parking attendant and hop out for a day of fun. We pre ordered our tickets in advance on their website (highly recommend) the farm fills up fast and is a popular place. We strolled through the pumpkin patch, greeted the sweet farm animals and had fun doing many activities. The corn maze was a challenge we made it out alive lol. They did provide emergency exits for those struggling. The hayride with a fresh pressed cold apple cider was the perfect ending to our FL Fall day! Great place for photo opportunities all throughout the farm. We will be returning in the future for the Fall & Spring events.

This place was recommended by a friend. I spent days looking at Youtube videos and going through Facebook to see what it was about. I wanted to make sure there was enough stuff for my kids to do and boy was there plenty. The videos I watched didn't show half of what this farm offers. We got there right at 1000 and the kids played for hours, hopping from one activity to another until it was time to go. I think we spent a good 4-5 hours there and not once did we stand around with nothing to do. The games setup were lots of fun, basketball, tractor ride, hamster tube, Sunflower picking, pumpkin bowling, playgrounds, photo ops, the animals, etc. The cider was amazing, I didn't get to try any of the adult drinks but my wife said it was great. Lots of memories were created that day. Thank you. I hope they will always remember it.

Dade City's Wild Things is a vast zoo that offers safari tours and close-up encounters with a variety of animals, including jungle cats, bears, tiger cubs, and monkeys. Visitors can enjoy guided tours like the Sunken Jungle Trek or Jungle Safari Ride to get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures. The zoo provides hands-on interactions and unique experiences that are hard to find elsewhere.
Words cant express how great everyone was here. We had a great time and will be doing it again. The otters are a blast to swim with and would do it everyday if we could. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the animals we saw and encountered. We also met the tiger cub. This little guy is awesome!! Worth every penny to meet him. Seeing all these animals up close and personal gives a greater understanding why they shouldnt be pets. I highly recomend that anyone and everyone visit Dade City Wild Things and have an animal encounter of some kind. You will not be disappointed!!!! Thanks again Wild Things you were awesome!!!!!!!!!

Dade City's Wild is a very nice place and the animals are very well cared for and loved. You will have a great experience and leave with wonderful memories. The place is clean and they are regulated by state and federal agencies .They are being targeted by animal activists who pay for negative comments on line. I have visited quite a few times and always have a great time. The swims are awesome and the photos are really nice. Great place for a reasonable price. I returned to Dade City's Wild Things one week ago. It was clean and the animals looked well cared for. I was fortunate to do an encounter with the lemur. It was very cute and friendly. I have to say I was impressed by the girl doing the encounters. She definitely has a bond with the animals and was very professional. I found the staff to be very friendly. I kind of liked the previous gift shop but it's nice to go right in now instead of waiting for the trolley. I will definitely return. I like the changes made to the tour.

We went to Dade City's Wild Things on Valentines Day 2016 and had a great time. We took a tram ride around the zoo viewing the animals along the way, held a baby kangaroo, fed a lion, and had a private encounter with a 4 month old tiger (I think the private encounter costs a bit extra but it was worth it to have some time away from the rest of the tour group). All of the staff members that we interacted with were friendly, intelligent, and seemed to really care about the animals. They asked us questions about the various interactions that we had and shared information about the specific animals that we saw (personalities, age, funny stories etc..). Overall I highly recommend checking this out if you are able to. My comments about the comments below: Tigers do love to be in water and spend a great deal of their time in rivers and lakes in the wild. It seems as though a few of the reviewers were applying their knowledge of the domestic house cat to tigers which must be where the misunderstanding stemmed from. While we were there new exhibits were being built, so it does seem like the owners are investing money back in to the business. Additionally I can't imagine what the food bill must be like for all of the animals and I can definitely say they all looked well fed. I thought the experience was well worth the price and would have paid much more had the prices been higher. During the animal interactions that we had the animals did not in anyway perform for us. It was an opportunity for us to be up close to an animal that we would otherwise never be able to safely do. That was it, no dancing, no rolling over for treats, no monkeys riding dogs, etc..
Jamie P — Google review
Our family decided to go to Wild Things despite the bad reviews on Google. Obviously, the reviews were planned by a group of individuals that set out to hurt businesses that help endangered animals and jobs for the community. Our family had a wonderful and educational tour of the facility. The animals are clean and well cared for and appear to be content. It was a Great experience for our 4 year old twins and 6 year old daughter who generally fear household animals let alone wild. They were not frightened at all! They commented that they had the best time ever! The only negative would be that I wish we could have taken photographs of the animals. However, the staff was very accommodating to take a group photo of us. The staff were very pleasant and appeared to enjoy their jobs which says a lot about the ownership of the facility.

I think I was more surprised at the fact that this is run out of a family's house with a lot of land versus more of a zoo type of feeling. But despite that I have to say I was surprised at the selection of animals that were available as well as the ability to feed zebra, and bison. The ability to be able to choose and holds various animals also was very appealing to this as my daughter has been clamouring to pull the monkey forever and she finally did. As far as the pricing goes you have to purchase the Safari pack to be able to then purchase the ability to hold, or pet in the in various animals. The Safari itself was $19, and then depending on the animal you wish to hold or pet is depending on the price. We pay to hold a monkey which was $19 per person. Overall The Experience wasn't bad. Probably the two worst things that I noticed with this particular Safari is that there is a lot of unnecessary 'artwork' and I say that because there was just various trucks and Furniture just strewn about the entire property, which I would assume is art. That sort of thing made the place like a little trashy. And the other thing that really bothers me is that there was a lot of animals in , what I would consider, small cages. They say these animals are not welcome at the zoo would have been rejects, so if that's the case then I can sort of reason with myself saying that this is the last chance for these animals. But to see a full-size lion in the size of a cage of my garage, twenty-four hours a day 365 days a year is a little bothersome. But regardless the staff were nice the animals look like they were fed well, they always had water that I was able to see, and the staff knew what they were talking about. The other issue is is that you're not allowed to take pictures anywhere on the property and that you have to pay $25 for them to take pictures and then they uploaded to website you download. To me that's a little fishy as why can I not just take my own pictures especially of the animals, because they do have a couple unique animals that you won't see anywhere else.
Brandon P — Google review
The staff were very courteous. I did not expect to be shuttled from where we paid to the zoo itself, but I don't remember if it was advertised that way or not. The tram driver once we got in was new so she read from her note book. I found the enclosures were small for they type of animal it housed, but the said the animals are walked daily with two leash handlers and they are leash trained. There was absolutely no evidence of abuse. The animals look well fed.

My daughter and her bf (both early 20's) went here to have an up close experience with an otter. It is mandatory that you take the $20 tour before you could do the experience. They charge you extra for that, yet anyone else who wanted to do that all went at once. So nothing special. The animals are in cages that didn't provide sufficient exercise area. Not enough enrichment for the animals. You must sign a waiver stating that you are not with PETA or other similar groups...and with good reason. You are not allowed to take photos of the animals. My daughter mistakenly booked the "swim with otters" experience but called them within a couple of hours to change it to the cheaper package. They said they would refund her the difference...it's been 3 weeks. She finally had to call her credit card company to dispute the charge. NOT someplace to go if you care about animals at all. For just $3 more, you can go to Zoo Miami! - My daughter contributed her first hand experience to this post.

My son loves animals and dreams one day becoming an exotic veterinarian. While looking for something interesting to do over the weekend, we came across Wild Things Zoo. Along with the zoo’s website, we also read the unfortunate news of what they’re going through. I am so happy it did not stop us making a trip. We had a great time. You can really see the deep loving relationships between the animals and keepers. We loved the hands on interactions and friendly staff. Can’t brag enough on this place. We truly loved the experience.

What a fun place!! The staff was knowledgeable and funny. The kayaks kept in good shape. Cute gift shop as well. We paddled up and saw manatees and tons of fish. Highly recommend. It’s the only kayak company directly on the main river.

Beautiful waters and saw 2 baby manatees. New rules, no anchoring, beaching, or mooring. Water was nice and we went on a weekday which was very lovely. Parking is available for free, you can rent the kayaks. No alcoholic bev, you will get fined if caught.. pack some lunch and drinks.. and enjoy the day.... supposedly you can paddle to the state park and back.. which I haven't made it that far yet...

Uoate::: please show this video you speak of because I assure you we all have more clsss than this see my rebuttal on friends account that went have been coming here for many many years this place was my favorite kayak rental business to bring my kids and now my grandkids but I am sorry to say we will be using the place across the street and across the river We pull up to an empty parking lot and we were told after taking our coolers kids grandkids out of our cars to move we had 3 vehicles a total of 8 rentals I proceeded to say I’m sorry but I work on what we were told on the phone parking lot is first come first served so we got there super early and made our reservations for early take off to avoid this. We were never asked the amount of vehicles we had. We arrived and were told we had to may vehicles I said if we had reservations for 8 kayaks and never asked how many vehicles just told arrive early for parking I’ll be parking exactly where I am at I’m not reloading kids grandkids and coolers back in cars. I resolved the situation on my own and didn’t move. Oh yes btw sorry for the loss of your main building as we are also dealing with last years hurricanes being local Floridians. When we were rudely greeted and after listening to the lady in front of me be disrespected by your employees I was ready for the lip lashing We were never told it would be 10 percent charge for using a credit card We were not asked to sign a waiver We were not fined any specific direction but to have the kayak back by 5 and to stay in the boundaries and laws of the river and to take a pic of the hand written sign that’s faded and looks like rain washed it mostly away thannGod this was not my first experience there I would of been lost. She was so rude to the people in front of me the lady told her husband to deal with her she was too upset how she was spoken to. The 10 percent charge was never discussed there was no sign when making reservations we were not told Any business charging a credit card surcharge must clearly disclose the fee to the customer before the sale is completed, usually through signage or on the receipt. Surcharge Limits: While surcharges are permitted, they cannot exceed the cost of processing the credit card payment. I called several merchant service as I own a business and non of them charge this outrageous percentage even Amex highest rate was 5 percent to small business using square. So this to me is not a fair rate at all Now to the nice part the boys loading you on and off the dock were amazing polite and helpful without them you would have no return customers The place across the street is cheaper they have food drinks ect they don’t charge you the 10 percent it’s up to 5 percent depending on the credit card You can swim at the beach and park there after your finished kayaking til sunset. There plenty of parking and it is first come first served parking so if you want up front get there on time lol Small businesses need to be accountable for their employees or the lack of as I own a small businesses and the fist thing I would do is fire the incompetence working your kayak window if we were burn with no waiver we could own you business and it don’t hurt to smile and be friendly people are only there for a good time not to be yelled at and given an attitude from the entrance to the dock. We were never told a service charge will be added We were not given the option to pay cash Things you should be told at the time of reservation One car per every 2-3 kayaks 10 percent service charge unless paying cash If parking lot is full you will be directed to a different lot You lost a lifetime customer because of the lady taking your cash credit card ect was extremely rude and the parking situation when we arrived

Simple, easy to get to, and they dont put a time limit on your rental. As long as you have it back before 5. This is our go to kayak rental place!

The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Very kind honest people. All the equipment was reasonably priced and the gift shop items were also fair! The water was amazing and so clear. We saw several manatees, other cool wildlife in the river. The water is always warm because it is spring feed so it feels great year round. Worth a trip! Also it is the cleanest river I have ever seen. No trash in the whole thing so please don't litter in it!!

The location is easy and convenient. The gentlemen who helped launch the kayak was very friendly, however the lady who answers the phone and takes the payment was so rude, rolled her eyes at us, and it was unwarranted. Would not go back to a business that treats customers with such disrespect

We’ve been renting our kayaks here for several years. They are very well organized, friendly, and fully assist with getting you in and out of your boat. I think the prices are fair, but soon we will probably be buying our own kayaks considering how much we rent… lol. But hey- this is the place to go when you need a boat for the day! Perfect location for a run down the river.

Weeki Wachee Spring, located along the Weeki Wachee River in Florida, is a magical destination known for its live underwater mermaid shows that have been captivating audiences since 1947. In addition to the mesmerizing mermaid performances, visitors can enjoy activities such as boat tours, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, kayaking to spot wildlife like manatees and dolphins, and zooming down waterslides at Buccaneer Bay waterpark.
Old Florida magic with a touch of nature. The mermaid show was so much fun! It’s great for kids or adults too. The park itself was also nice. Didn’t get a chance to do the boat tour, but will definitely do that next time. Be sure to call ahead to confirm the mermaid show times as sometimes they vary. Everything is included in park admission.

If you’d like to experience a quieter, more relaxing area on our West Coast Weeki Wachee is a nice place for the experience. They offer a very well known and one of the oldest tourist attractions in the state, the Mermaid Show. It lasts about 1/2 and hour and is entertaining especially for children. There is also a waterpark, kayaking, and general strolling all around the park. They have a ranger show that didn’t seem to be up and running when I visited 10 days ago. We went on the little boat tour they have and except for learning some tidbits I didn’t know from living here about forever, I wouldn’t spend the money on the ride as it’s all of 20 minutes from departure to the end. We visited one of the restaurants on site and enjoyed a hot dog which was very good and fries we didn’t enjoy. They had that weird crunchy stuff on them that so many restaurants seem to be offering recently; I believe they are rolled in potato starch. Just makes them not true fries. All in all though, we enjoyed our morning there.
Kh B — Google review
They are currently doing construction on the ranger experience, so the boat ride was full all day. The mermaid show was great though. I’m fascinated with how they sync with what we hear in the audience. The show is short enough the hold the attention of younger children. There are beautiful peacocks that roam the grounds, and bring a bathing suit because the water park looks fun too. I didn’t have my suit with me. Definitely a great attraction to check out.

Beautiful place to enjoy an incredible view! This stunning spring with crystal-clear waters offers the amazing chance to see manatees up close, all surrounded by nature. You can explore the area by kayak—rentals are available for solo paddlers or pairs. Keep in mind that swimming in the spring is not allowed, and no food is permitted—it’s all about preserving the beauty of the environment. If you’re looking to swim, there’s a beautiful natural pool nearby, also with crystal-clear water, surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs where you can relax and soak up the sun. You can also catch one of the fun shows offered in the area. There’s a nice restaurant on-site—we enjoyed some tasty burgers and delicious French fries. Highly recommended whether you’re visiting with family or just looking for a peaceful escape on your own or with someone special!

Weeki Wachee Springs is an amazing excursion and truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The water is crystal clear and teeming with manatees, and the best part is that you can interact with them naturally and at your own pace, without a guide mediating the encounter. The spring feels like a hidden paradise with plenty of ways to enjoy it—kayaks to rent for exploring, rope swings to launch into the refreshing water, and tree ladders to climb for extra adventure. The only downside is that the rental facility could use a little updating and modernization to match the beauty of the springs themselves. That said, the natural surroundings more than make up for it. All in all, Weeki Wachee is an excellent place to spend the day, whether you’re looking for peaceful time on the water or a bit of thrill and fun. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature, wildlife, and a unique Florida adventure.

I'll give them two stars for their efforts but don't come for the mermaid show. There's a natural spring pool with a lifeguard on duty, the slide is closed, and there's a half hour mermaid show consisting of a host and two mermaids playing out a skit for young ones with the host kicking one of the mermaids at one point. I really didn't get that. First come first served, no reservations. $13.00. No animal shows, nothing else except a souvenir shop and restrooms. It is a State run park and they must be real short on funds. I give them credit for trying to keep this once main attraction open today. Visited Sep 2025

I really didn't get that. First come first served, no reservations. $13.00. No animal shows, nothing else except a souvenir shop and restrooms. It is a State run park and they must be real short on funds. I give them credit for trying to keep this once main attraction open today. Visited Sep 2025

Alfred A McKethan Pine Island Park

Park
Fun & Games
Gulf beach with swimming & showers, picnic facilities, volleyball, bird-watching & playgrounds.
Pine island park is a peaceful, relaxing beach anyone could look forward to after a long week. Its soft sand, beautiful palm trees, mixed with the peninsula-like atmosphere, make this park worthwhile. The provided pavilions and tables make spending the day out in the sun much nicer, and protected. Furthermore, going for a visit at sunset/sunrise is always a blast - and a fun moment to look forward to. Swimming here is what I look forward to the most. The water is calm, warm, and scattered with cool shells. Being that this park has lots to offer, it’s a great alternative rather than driving an hour to some bigger beaches.

pine Island is Hernando County is very own slice of Florida Beach. It has multiple times been ravaged by hurricanes and tropical storms. Nevertheless, we rebuild. Stunning sunsets with dolphins swimming in the water. Shallow water for beachgoers. Plenty of space to kayak. It has restrooms. It has covered pavilions. It is accessible for wheelchairs. The bathrooms are accessible for wheelchairs. There are changing rooms that are accessible by wheelchair. There are showers. Currently the playground is being rebuilt after hurricane Helene.

This beautiful location is a wonderful place to come and rest and lay out in the beautiful sunny Florida weather it most definitely is a bit small, but if you get there early and wake up like around early time, you will be able to find a parking spot because if you don’t, there will be no parking spots and you won’t be able to park so make sure that you get up real early And be able to have fun at this place Location has incredible crystal Clearwater and you can see beautiful fish and sometimes you can even see birds flying around, but be careful because those birds 🦅 sometimes those birds will come and whether you’re napping or trying just to close her eyes or trying to just relax those birds will come and take your food, especially if you have bugles you know those crunchy little snacks called bugles and especially if you have like potato chips or any type of substance considered the food item those incredible birds I mean they’re flying like thousands of feet up in the air, but they can see your food and they will come down and take your food so if you have food, make sure that you start it in a container for the birds won’t come and get them and also make sure that you have sandals and proper footwear. because the sand is super Duper hot I’m talking where you’re gonna jump up into the sky and your feet will get burn so make sure you also bring plenty of H2O water so you can drink and enjoy your day at the location This is this is location. Also is the perfect opportunity if you want to take great great wonderful pictures you’ll be able to see clouds and you’ll be able to see water and you’ll be able to see other people enjoy enjoying their time at this location again if you have a phone or a camera at this really is a place where you can take pictures of sand and birds and I just recommend this location 😎

Not a beach, it is a park on the water, the locals even said they bring in the sand to keep it pretty. But, it is nice for children as it is very shallow, and there were plenty of fish and dolphins swimming about. We did notice the shower stations worked and there were a few covered picnic tables. It is free to park now, but the county worker said they will be bringing in "pay with phone only" very soon.

My favorite beach so far! Loved it! Water is not deep at all. Was able to see and swim with dolphins. No dogs allowed, only issue I had. They accept therapy and service dogs. I have therapy dogs, but that's not fair.

Looking better after the double impact of recent storms, still lacking a food shack but it’s getting there, free parking right now a plus. However they still run you off at sundown… like as soon as. Yeah somewhat annoying but still better than driving to points south and battling the horde and way expensive parking… Glad to have you back Pine Island…. Hoooraaaay!!!!

Boyett's Grove & Citrus Attraction

Zoo
Water & Amusement Parks
Boyetts Grove and Citrus Attraction is a unique gift shop with a zoo that offers visitors the opportunity to feed the animals and more. It embodies the essence of a classic roadside attraction, reminiscent of traditional Americana. The establishment boasts an assortment of captivating and antique collectibles for browsing. In addition, there is a mini golf course on-site for entertainment purposes.
Great deal for the price! My girl and I went there and we got the whole package. Very memorable museum with a variety of animals for you to see! Friendly staff and such a unique environment made it a very memorable day. One day we hope to come back with kids of our own 👌

Strange museum/zoo that I suppose you just have to see! Cute for adults and kids. It also has a free mini golf that needed work but worth the price of admission.

This is my third time coming back to this wonderful and mysterious gem. I love how unique everything is and the two ladies that have been working there since I have gone are sweethearts. There is so much to do and they even mentioned how they will be opening up later in the evenings due to the summer heat. That said, ice-cream was delicious, animals were taken care of like royalty and loved how you can even partake in giving them snacks, and there is so much to look at you always feel like your missing out if you turn a different way. Would recommend this place for all ages🥰

We came there only to feed the animals I wasn’t expected there a museum and different corridors. I mean I think it’s unnecessary stuff in my opinion looked kinda creepy and I didn’t understand all random rooms especially aquarium that only 2-3 tanks have fishes but we could feed some animals it was cute. There is no bag with food for you to feed them so they just give you a food to your hand with every animal. To feed most of them it wasn’t easy because you are mostly far from the cage and will not reach out to feed all of them. The conclusion?- It’s fine but just for once

We went to what I thought was a small zoo and mini golf course, we left this amazingly quirky, backroom infused, barage on your senses, museum of everything odd and wonderful with memories of strange but happy fun. The animals seem to be well fed and taken care of, and the mini golf course will leave the best players scratching their heads wondering how to make their next shot not be a lost cause.

What an interesting place with so many attractions. Its like a mix of an old history museum, ol timey roadside attraction, put putt, petting zoo, antiques roadshow extravaganza. There's so much to see throughout multiple buildings it's totally worth it just to see this beautifully bizarre attraction.

Have been here twice. It's a sight to see. Guide was a little off-putting with remarks about that they normally have children visitors. I WILL TELL YOU WITH MY FULL CHEST...if I was a kid this place would give me Nightmares! But maybe child eyes are more forgiving? I will be as honest as I can without giving away too much because it's an experience for sure. Bring Bug Spray/Hand Sanitizer for out by the Animals and know there's only a few that you can touch or pet. Staff provides some snacks for you to give them. I don't advise buying all the bags they list as options online for reservations $$$. Be prepared to be lost as well, so wear good shoes, have your phone charged for pics/flashlight and stay together.

What a hidden gem! We really enjoyed the tour through the museum and the petting zoo. So much fun for the kids.
